- 0:04Speaker 1: and Matt Flynn.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Okay, here we go where the.
- 0:07Speaker 1: Plays get broken down and science gets denied. The Bitch
- 0:11Speaker 1: Hour two of Off the Bench Live from the Mercedes
- 0:14Speaker 1: Benz Baton Rouge Studio starts now.
- 0:25Speaker 2: All right, welcome back in number two. O. T. B.
- 0:28Speaker 3: Friday vibes all over this studio. Clayton says, I just
- 0:34Speaker 3: got on, how does the longest fireplace need to be
- 0:38Speaker 3: plugged in?
- 0:39Speaker 2: It's not electric? Look into your fireplace, guy, I think
- 0:43Speaker 2: somebody's messing with her.
- 0:45Speaker 3: I think somebody just doesn't want to have maybe a
- 0:48Speaker 3: fire in the rental.
- 0:50Speaker 2: You have a chimney, Obviously.
- 0:52Speaker 4: I don't think I do. I think that it's non functioning.
- 0:56Speaker 2: It's not.
- 0:57Speaker 5: But you said you would burn wood in it. It's
- 1:00Speaker 5: those smokes gotta go up.
- 1:01Speaker 6: That's what I'm saying that I think that's why it's
- 1:03Speaker 6: non functioning.
- 1:04Speaker 4: But like you were asking me, is it gas or
- 1:06Speaker 4: is it would burning?
- 1:07Speaker 6: And there's no gas, so I would I would like
- 1:10Speaker 6: I would guess if I had a chimney, it would.
- 1:13Speaker 3: Be would would somebody knock a hole in your wall
- 1:15Speaker 3: and say it's a fireplace when you stick your head
- 1:17Speaker 3: in it and look up, is there a hole?
- 1:19Speaker 4: No, I don't think you'll understand, Like I just.
- 1:25Speaker 2: Can we get a picture later today?
- 1:27Speaker 4: Can we get when I get home?
- 1:31Speaker 2: The offer still stands though.
- 1:32Speaker 3: If you work on fireplaces, and if you help a
- 1:35Speaker 3: launder out or build a hook you up here in
- 1:37Speaker 3: football or build them or create chimney. You make a chimney,
- 1:43Speaker 3: I'll get you on the field.
- 1:44Speaker 2: Pregame chimney. I gotta know what this looks like. Now.
- 1:49Speaker 3: I can't believe both of you turned down, like the
- 1:51Speaker 3: opportunity to maybe, like you know, get some help, because
- 1:54Speaker 3: I'll tell you what.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Like what do I need right now? Oh? The tiles
- 1:59Speaker 2: on my driveway? Like whoever built our home?
- 2:03Speaker 3: Like we're the second owner, right and in the driveway
- 2:06Speaker 3: they have these tiles. They're like, you know, decorative kind
- 2:10Speaker 3: of like every five feet or so. Like, you can't
- 2:12Speaker 3: put tiles on a driveway. There's gonna be massive cars
- 2:15Speaker 3: that roll over said tiles and they just keep cracking
- 2:19Speaker 3: over and over again.
- 2:20Speaker 2: So yeah, you know, I don't even get me started
- 2:23Speaker 2: on driveway issues right now.
- 2:24Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, well, hey see that's what I was saying,
- 2:27Speaker 3: if you work on driveways, hit your boys up.
- 2:30Speaker 2: We'll shout you out and we'll get you some excuse.
- 2:33Speaker 5: At some point let me maybe, at some point, people
- 2:38Speaker 5: who work on houses or sell materials to people who
- 2:41Speaker 5: work on houses have to stop blaming COVID on high prices.
- 2:46Speaker 5: Yeahs COVID, it's five years ago.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Yeah, there's no supply chain issues.
- 2:55Speaker 3: The concrete guys getting you, Oh, everybody, that is a
- 2:59Speaker 3: perfect up. It's a perfect use. I can't hide money.
- 3:02Speaker 3: Well done, sir. What he's doing it to me, It's
- 3:05Speaker 3: not like that, but it sounded like that. It sounds
- 3:08Speaker 3: very much like you shiny bathroom tiles.
- 3:12Speaker 7: My question was going to be, you can put tiles
- 3:14Speaker 7: on your drive It is like paver situation.
- 3:16Speaker 2: It is a weird situation.
- 3:17Speaker 3: I don't it's almost like it's almost like he saw
- 3:20Speaker 3: the space and.
- 3:21Speaker 2: He didn't know what to do with his hands and
- 3:22Speaker 2: he just said tiles.
- 3:24Speaker 7: When you're building the house out and walk r they
- 3:26Speaker 7: go gravel or non driveway.
- 3:30Speaker 2: Look, well, that's because the range rubbers took it over right. Gosh,
- 3:34Speaker 2: the range.
- 3:36Speaker 5: I'm trying to like just get some rocks, like, how
- 3:39Speaker 5: about some just gravel road.
- 3:41Speaker 2: Well, I don't know, man graves expensive COVID, what shortage
- 3:46Speaker 2: because of COVID? What what are you like so like
- 3:49Speaker 2: bust up some rocks so.
- 3:49Speaker 3: You're just trying to get like an extended part of
- 3:52Speaker 3: your driveway. But you just wants like some pebbles so
- 3:54Speaker 3: you can park something on something.
- 3:55Speaker 5: But it's like, oh, I got to get the stuff here.
- 3:58Speaker 3: I really need to see the bones of this home
- 4:00Speaker 3: and where there's apparently like a bathroom that's above a
- 4:03Speaker 3: room that's not functional.
- 4:05Speaker 2: Yea, I need to see that too.
- 4:07Speaker 4: I'm talking about my fireplace.
- 4:10Speaker 2: It's a creepy bathrooms.
- 4:12Speaker 5: It's like bathroom hadn't been functional since we lived there,
- 4:17Speaker 5: and it's in the attic.
- 4:18Speaker 2: That's what you need. You need somebody to come.
- 4:20Speaker 7: You need somebody to come bless your haunted bathroom. That's
- 4:23Speaker 7: what Matt needs help with.
- 4:24Speaker 2: Yeah, t Bob bless this bathroom. Every single day down
- 4:26Speaker 2: the hall.
- 4:28Speaker 5: He came hunted, all the ghosts he got out in there.
- 4:31Speaker 3: The amount of conversations he would have through that door
- 4:34Speaker 3: while he was using the bathroom remarkable.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Oh dude, it'd be so funny.
- 4:37Speaker 7: Because Cade's office, as y'all know's right across from.
- 4:40Speaker 2: It, and like I'd be walking down the hall.
- 4:41Speaker 7: He'd be like, hey, teller's ta bop here, and I'm like,
- 4:43Speaker 7: I don't know how to hear tabup in the bathroom.
- 4:45Speaker 2: I'm here, cool man.
- 4:47Speaker 3: We would have clients like we would have clients that
- 4:49Speaker 3: be here for meetings and if the hey t Bob
- 4:51Speaker 3: just using the restroom, like he'll be right out, we
- 4:53Speaker 3: can get started or whatever. He'd be like one second,
- 4:54Speaker 3: hold on, be right there, like talking to clients to
- 4:57Speaker 3: the bathroom or restroom is not a bathroom there, So.
- 5:01Speaker 2: All right, so we are doing the.
- 5:05Speaker 3: Okay, they're not like they're they're they're actually they're cheap tiles.
- 5:08Speaker 3: That's why they keep breaking. So I need a new solution.
- 5:11Speaker 3: I gotta like lay some papers or something. But every
- 5:14Speaker 3: time I do, like the mortars for bricks, like it
- 5:18Speaker 3: drives too fast, right, and then you're.
- 5:20Speaker 5: Like you need to stop. D yeah, why and everything?
- 5:24Speaker 5: Your tiles are cracking.
- 5:25Speaker 2: Well, I didn't put them there, though. That's what I'm done.
- 5:28Speaker 2: You've done brick and mortar, like you've done the mortar
- 5:30Speaker 2: and put back down. Dude.
- 5:32Speaker 3: Katie has redone nine houses, okay, and after like the
- 5:36Speaker 3: third one if I am after paying like the third
- 5:40Speaker 3: one for her team she used to have in Trueport.
- 5:43Speaker 3: I was like, your boy's got to learn to do
- 5:45Speaker 3: some stuff here CAUs like we're making some good profit here.
- 5:49Speaker 3: But if I the more I learned, the more we make.
- 5:52Speaker 3: And so I had to learn how to do a
- 5:53Speaker 3: lot of stuff. You know, after the third time you
- 5:56Speaker 3: get shocked. You're like, so.
- 5:59Speaker 2: Let me ask you this. How.
- 6:00Speaker 5: I don't know what you did, Like if there's like
- 6:02Speaker 5: a wall or whatever it was with the brick, but
- 6:05Speaker 5: how the first time would the brick mortaring go.
- 6:08Speaker 3: Not great, not great, drys quick, quicker than you think,
- 6:12Speaker 3: but like it's just like an a little bit more
- 6:14Speaker 3: water in there the other thing. No, no, you would think, yeah,
- 6:17Speaker 3: it's not how it works that easy, just like plaster
- 6:19Speaker 3: you better hurry.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Have you made have you ever put like a made
- 6:22Speaker 2: a brick wall, like free standing.
- 6:25Speaker 3: Wall, more like took the bricks out and replace them.
- 6:28Speaker 3: Oh like situation we had a house. We had a
- 6:32Speaker 3: house that was built in build a wall. If he's listening,
- 6:36Speaker 3: she'll correct me. I think it was like the nineteen twenties.
- 6:39Speaker 3: So that was there was some challenges when you redo
- 6:42Speaker 3: a house that was built in the twenties. Great house,
- 6:45Speaker 3: incredible house. When you start opening up those walls, you
- 6:48Speaker 3: find some stuff.
- 6:51Speaker 2: I'll tell you what kind of job around the house
- 6:53Speaker 2: is underrated. It's like difficult to make look good.
- 6:56Speaker 5: I'm gonna say this word, and y'all just relax because
- 6:59Speaker 5: it's a real word, not being gross. But I decided,
- 7:02Speaker 5: like when on our last house, that I was going
- 7:04Speaker 5: to improve the look at our house by cocky and everything.
- 7:07Speaker 3: And how Tea Bob did this too, But black Tea
- 7:11Speaker 3: Bob used black cock on the outside of his home,
- 7:15Speaker 3: and his neighbors like, naughty, we can't do that.
- 7:19Speaker 5: Well, I used white cock and all right, and it's
- 7:22Speaker 5: amazing how it kind of just pulls everything together, makes
- 7:27Speaker 5: everything look good. But it is hard to get, like
- 7:29Speaker 5: a good good stripe on it, a nice clean stripe
- 7:32Speaker 5: and good good cock.
- 7:34Speaker 2: Good cocks hard to come by. A good cock job
- 7:37Speaker 2: really brings the room together.
- 7:41Speaker 3: Did you use what's the scene on TV one flex seal?
- 7:44Speaker 3: Is that used?
- 7:46Speaker 5: No, it's not the cock that I used, all right,
- 7:53Speaker 5: I was gonna make a cannot never mind. Oh yeah,
- 8:00Speaker 5: that flex seal does plug a hole. Did you ever
- 8:04Speaker 5: see the like slap it on the barrel, stops the water.
- 8:08Speaker 4: It's crazy.
- 8:15Speaker 2: How's Rossell Jackson gonna follow this segment?
- 8:17Speaker 5: But a good coxsman can make all the difference when.
- 8:21Speaker 2: He's doing it.
- 8:22Speaker 4: I'm with you. I'm fully on.
- 8:25Speaker 2: Board flexil oh man. There's okay, hold on.
- 8:36Speaker 5: Uh alundra, But I'm with you, okay, all right, I
- 8:44Speaker 5: totally agree.
- 8:44Speaker 3: Definitely brings everything together, like you started this conversation. Just
- 8:48Speaker 3: brings everything together.
- 8:51Speaker 2: That's good.
- 8:52Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 8:52Speaker 4: They did make a boat out of flex seal.
- 8:54Speaker 9: They Yeah, I stayed dry. It's amazing. Heye, I'll see what.
- 9:04Speaker 9: All right, hold on, I'll get us out of here.
- 9:06Speaker 9: I'll get us out of here.
- 9:07Speaker 4: Get it together.
- 9:08Speaker 2: There was a football game on TV. Hold on, I
- 9:09Speaker 2: will get us out of here.
- 9:11Speaker 3: We're doing the what shows this OTB Top twenty five,
- 9:16Speaker 3: Number twenty five was Boise State, Alm.
- 9:19Speaker 4: Just give us four right here, very confident about it.
- 9:22Speaker 3: You're right here, right here, right now, let's go the
- 9:26Speaker 3: number twenty four team stay ready on the OTB Top twenty.
- 9:30Speaker 2: Five is Yeah.
- 9:32Speaker 6: So I came in this morning and I was like, yeah,
- 9:36Speaker 6: I don't feel great about this. Everywhere I look on
- 9:39Speaker 6: the preseason top twenty five rankings because I was trying
- 9:43Speaker 6: to do my research. I don't want to make like
- 9:45Speaker 6: an uneducated pick here.
- 9:47Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, and you know ball.
- 9:49Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm learning ball obviously. All three of y'all know
- 9:54Speaker 6: way more ball.
- 9:54Speaker 4: Than I do. But it's okay, we're gonna get there.
- 9:57Speaker 6: I was like, I don't know what to do. So
- 10:00Speaker 6: everybody has Memphis for some reason, but I can't find
- 10:03Speaker 6: a good reason as to why to put Memphis at
- 10:06Speaker 6: number twenty four. So Taite helped me out here, and
- 10:09Speaker 6: I think he has me convinced that I'm gonna put
- 10:12Speaker 6: Memphis at twenty four along with the other places that
- 10:16Speaker 6: I've seen I.
- 10:17Speaker 4: Wanted to put.
- 10:17Speaker 6: I told you I wanted to put Auburn at twenty five,
- 10:20Speaker 6: but for some reason, twenty four is just a step
- 10:22Speaker 6: too far for me. Like they would be like first
- 10:25Speaker 6: one out kind of thing.
- 10:26Speaker 3: So they're not getting a rose on opening night, No, they're.
- 10:30Speaker 2: Not getting a rose.
- 10:30Speaker 6: No.
- 10:31Speaker 4: You know who is Ryan Silverfield.
- 10:33Speaker 6: He is in his sixth season at Memphis, and he
- 10:37Speaker 6: has steadily improved every season that he's been.
- 10:40Speaker 2: Thereat year yeah.
- 10:42Speaker 6: Nine to three as well, has a six sixty seven
- 10:45Speaker 6: winning percentage in his time there forty two and twenty one.
- 10:50Speaker 6: They So my thing was, I don't know why I
- 10:54Speaker 6: could put them here because they have like some questions
- 10:56Speaker 6: at quarterback, but they have a transfer coming in from Nevada.
- 11:00Speaker 2: Yeah, Brendan Lewis.
- 11:01Speaker 6: Brendan Lewis, and Taylor says he has like a solid
- 11:05Speaker 6: season last season. They have some returners on defense that
- 11:09Speaker 6: will be productive as well. So I think I'm gonna
- 11:11Speaker 6: go ahead and put Memphis at number twenty four for
- 11:15Speaker 6: our OTB Top twenty five.
- 11:17Speaker 3: I like it, I love it. I want some more
- 11:19Speaker 3: of it. I think Tim McGraw said that did. They've
- 11:22Speaker 3: got a lot of transfers coming in as well. They're
- 11:24Speaker 3: going to have, I believe, eight starters on defense from
- 11:27Speaker 3: the transfer portal. On offense, are going to have seven
- 11:30Speaker 3: starters from the transfer portal. But all of the guys
- 11:33Speaker 3: that they brought in, so the fifteen new starters they
- 11:35Speaker 3: brought in have all played wherever they're coming from. It's
- 11:39Speaker 3: not a situation where a guy was a five star
- 11:42Speaker 3: recruit somewhere and then turned out he wasn't a good
- 11:44Speaker 3: player and ends up in Memphis. No, all the guys
- 11:46Speaker 3: they brought in, have actual stats, and they've been on
- 11:49Speaker 3: the field before. Memphis is a good pick. They are
- 11:52Speaker 3: going to be very competitive Indie American.
- 11:56Speaker 4: The schedule is very favorite, Yeah.
- 11:57Speaker 3: And they could be the group of five rep in
- 11:59Speaker 3: the Couse Football Playoffs. So it's a good pick. The
- 12:02Speaker 3: only thing, the only thing that you didn't do, because
- 12:06Speaker 3: that was a great breakdown of Memphis is I thought
- 12:09Speaker 3: you're gonna.
- 12:09Speaker 2: Play Maybe it was menhis should maybe.
- 12:16Speaker 3: I say the only thing I thought maybe walking in Memphis.
- 12:25Speaker 2: The other days.
- 12:29Speaker 7: Because like I got old cocky the other day and
- 12:30Speaker 7: I was like, oh, Jake, I'm ready to get right now.
- 12:32Speaker 7: And then last second I flipped my twenty five was
- 12:35Speaker 7: going to be Memphis, and I flipped at last minute, Okay,
- 12:37Speaker 7: Memphis is.
- 12:38Speaker 2: Going to be a good team this year. I like it.
- 12:40Speaker 2: I like where we're at right now.
- 12:43Speaker 4: Yeah, the schedule is very favorable.
- 12:47Speaker 6: Another one that I was kind of looking at, but
- 12:49Speaker 6: I was like, I'm gonna do Memphis. Was we were
- 12:51Speaker 6: talking about them yesterday Louisville Jeff brom Right, maybe it
- 12:55Speaker 6: was the day before that, but I mean, they lose
- 12:57Speaker 6: Tyler Schuck, but Miller Moss from US he transferred over there.
- 13:01Speaker 3: But I'm gonna have if if it comes to me
- 13:04Speaker 3: and they hadn't been picked, I'm in the teens. I
- 13:07Speaker 3: got Louisville Hot, got Louisville hot. They got two stud
- 13:11Speaker 3: running backs.
- 13:14Speaker 2: Like giving tips away supposed to be secretive. I didn't
- 13:17Speaker 2: say where he said. I said to him, and they said,
- 13:21Speaker 2: in the teens. And if it falls to.
- 13:23Speaker 3: Me, can hit eighteen. Sometimes sometimes it can hit fifteen.
- 13:29Speaker 3: Sometimes it might hit four. Basically spinning the roulette will so.
- 13:34Speaker 7: Her point about Memphis though, like Ryan Silverfield to zero,
- 13:39Speaker 7: double zero, Ryan Silverfield ten and three, last year eleven
- 13:43Speaker 7: and two, dude Jerrolin, Yeah, program.
- 13:46Speaker 4: Yeah, Silver Are we gonna do twenty three here with
- 13:49Speaker 4: Springfield's cousin.
- 13:50Speaker 2: We're gonna take a break.
- 13:51Speaker 3: We're gonna go to Ross and then we'll make Flint
- 13:54Speaker 3: sweat and think about it because he's not gonna beat
- 13:56Speaker 3: that at Launcher break did a great job, no way,
- 14:00Speaker 3: Flynn does a great job. La Ross will do a
- 14:02Speaker 3: great job and he'll join us when we come back
- 14:04Speaker 3: here on OTV.
- 14:06Speaker 2: To be.

- 14:25Speaker 3: you got multiple printers set up, well, they're gonna make
- 14:28Speaker 3: sure they're all working together.

- 14:36Speaker 3: ten locations. Like whatever, you're gonna get one bill, right,
- 14:39Speaker 3: You're gonna get one bill. Everything is put together. And
- 14:41Speaker 3: then if you have a problem, you're gonna hear one voice.

- 16:07Speaker 10: Y'all appreciate it.
- 16:08Speaker 2: It's great to see you.
- 16:09Speaker 3: The other day, it was so cold down there in
- 16:11Speaker 3: Metaie just you know, great weather.
- 16:15Speaker 2: Oh man, it was fun to be out there.
- 16:17Speaker 3: Haven't been to an NFL training camp in a long time,
- 16:20Speaker 3: and you know, the Saints camp is obviously intriguing as
- 16:23Speaker 3: well because of so many position battles. There's guys that
- 16:26Speaker 3: are switching positions like a Trevor Pinning, and you're trying
- 16:28Speaker 3: to figure out how it's all going to play out.
- 16:30Speaker 3: But the day that I was at camp, like Jake
- 16:33Speaker 3: Hayner was running with the ones, like he was the
- 16:36Speaker 3: QB one that day and it was the second time
- 16:38Speaker 3: in camp that he's had that opportunity, and you know
- 16:42Speaker 3: a lot of people start to talk, Okay, well, at
- 16:45Speaker 3: some point you got to get this thing from three
- 16:47Speaker 3: to two and then obviously from two to one, Like
- 16:50Speaker 3: when do you think that is going to happen? Because
- 16:53Speaker 3: if you're giving Jake Canter QB one reps unless you
- 16:57Speaker 3: truly think he can win the job, it's a wasted
- 16:59Speaker 3: day and training camp, and you can't waste days in
- 17:02Speaker 3: training camp.
- 17:02Speaker 2: And so what do you think that timeline looks like? Ross?
- 17:06Speaker 10: Yeah, I mean, look, I think the timeline of getting
- 17:08Speaker 10: down to two is probably something that I mean, I
- 17:11Speaker 10: don't know, honestly, it's something that maybe goes into that
- 17:14Speaker 10: Chargers game, which could be a little late, right, I mean,
- 17:17Speaker 10: you would like to get this down to two and
- 17:19Speaker 10: then start getting these guys in rhythm and getting them
- 17:21Speaker 10: opportunities with the team that they're going to be playing
- 17:23Speaker 10: with and all those pieces. But I don't know that
- 17:26Speaker 10: Tyler Shuck has done enough to close Jake Haner out,
- 17:29Speaker 10: and I think that Jay Cayner has done enough to
- 17:31Speaker 10: stay in, you know, And so I think that that's
- 17:33Speaker 10: got to be the thing that we look at here.
- 17:35Speaker 10: But I would say that probably that Chargers game is
- 17:38Speaker 10: when you're going to see maybe this team start to
- 17:41Speaker 10: call that quarterback battle a little bit, and that could
- 17:44Speaker 10: be also leading into the Chargers game, like that week
- 17:47Speaker 10: right before leading into the Chargers games, where you're starting
- 17:50Speaker 10: some game preparation, right yea, and you're trying to get
- 17:52Speaker 10: these guys a little bit ready for the game. You're
- 17:54Speaker 10: not doing I know that in those first preseason games,
- 17:57Speaker 10: like you're doing a ton of like trying to match
- 17:59Speaker 10: up to the other opponent and everything, but you are
- 18:01Speaker 10: trying to get your guys ready to go out there
- 18:03Speaker 10: and play football for the first time and get hit
- 18:05Speaker 10: full speed by a guy that's not wearing your uniform
- 18:07Speaker 10: for the first time since January or February the latest,
- 18:11Speaker 10: and so I think that's probably the timeline is kind
- 18:14Speaker 10: of operating around maybe game prep for that Chargers game.
- 18:17Speaker 10: But I'll be curious to see if in that moment
- 18:19Speaker 10: is Kellen more willing to go down to two or
- 18:21Speaker 10: is he going to keep it at three at that
- 18:23Speaker 10: point and then maybe shifted two after that Chargers game.
- 18:27Speaker 10: But I think everything kind of revolves around that first
- 18:29Speaker 10: preseason exhibition matchup.
- 18:31Speaker 5: Yeah, Ross we talked about. I'm curious as that actual reps.
- 18:35Speaker 5: Now we know that they're switching off every single day
- 18:38Speaker 5: a different quarterback with the ones, but from an actual
- 18:41Speaker 5: rep standpoint, that's what I'm curious about, because there's lots
- 18:44Speaker 5: of different ways. Like I don't enda coach ever doing
- 18:46Speaker 5: like a three person competition because the logistics involved are
- 18:50Speaker 5: are challenging. So like when Rattler runs with the ones,
- 18:53Speaker 5: like usually on a practice you can't run three groups,
- 18:56Speaker 5: you're running two groups. Is he getting double the reps
- 18:59Speaker 5: of everybody else because the other two are splitting.
- 19:01Speaker 2: Reps with the twos?
- 19:03Speaker 5: How does the actual number and volume of reps work
- 19:07Speaker 5: in a practice with when they switch off.
- 19:09Speaker 10: Like that, Yeah, that's great. I think part of this
- 19:12Speaker 10: is going to be when I answer this question, I
- 19:14Speaker 10: want to make sure that it's known that a lot
- 19:16Speaker 10: of this is the way that Kellen war runs practices
- 19:21Speaker 10: are so efficient and so right now going into sort
- 19:26Speaker 10: of the way that things are through the past what
- 19:29Speaker 10: eight practices, not including the not including the walkthrough, and
- 19:33Speaker 10: not including seven on sevens, we've seen spins around with
- 19:37Speaker 10: one hundred and thirty six ish reps. Let's call it
- 19:40Speaker 10: around one hundred and thirty reps, while Tyler Shuck is
- 19:43Speaker 10: sitting at around one hundred and ten and Jay Hayner's
- 19:47Speaker 10: around one hundred and ten, and so these guys that
- 19:49Speaker 10: those are just kind of rough numbers. But these guys
- 19:52Speaker 10: are getting a lot of team reps and they're getting
- 19:55Speaker 10: the opportunities how to go out there even though they're
- 19:58Speaker 10: still running three teams deep. And a lot of the
- 20:01Speaker 10: way that Helen will get this done sometimes is especially
- 20:05Speaker 10: when they're outdoors, which they've spent most of their time
- 20:07Speaker 10: outdoors outside of that one walk through and then yesterday's practice,
- 20:11Speaker 10: they will focus on having you know, they'll cycle through
- 20:15Speaker 10: and maybe do like a down and distance incremental drive
- 20:18Speaker 10: kind of you know, walk through and or not walk
- 20:20Speaker 10: through rather but team drill, and they'll run that on
- 20:23Speaker 10: one field with the first team and whoever's running with
- 20:26Speaker 10: the quarter wherever the quarterback is running with the first
- 20:28Speaker 10: team there, and simultaneously run that same thing with the
- 20:32Speaker 10: other team, a second team or a third team with
- 20:34Speaker 10: the quarterback that's running with that team on the field
- 20:36Speaker 10: next to it. So they take advantage of these parallel
- 20:38Speaker 10: fields in the outdoor and the outdoors to make sure
- 20:41Speaker 10: that everybody gets those reps. And then after practice they
- 20:44Speaker 10: also do developmental reps, which isn't really with a team,
- 20:47Speaker 10: it's just kind of all of the young guys. So
- 20:49Speaker 10: all the veterans go in and start to kind of
- 20:50Speaker 10: transition into the next part of the process of their day,
- 20:53Speaker 10: while you know, whoever is that two B three for
- 20:56Speaker 10: that day will go out there and continue to rep
- 20:58Speaker 10: with those developmental drills as well. We don't have counts
- 21:01Speaker 10: for those because they tend to do those either inside
- 21:03Speaker 10: or away or whatever that might be. But you know,
- 21:05Speaker 10: they're making sure that they're getting these quarterbacks a lot
- 21:07Speaker 10: of reps, and they're not really there's not a huge
- 21:10Speaker 10: disparity between any of them, Ratler has gotten the most.
- 21:14Speaker 10: But Ratler has also seen the most sort of call
- 21:16Speaker 10: it sequences or series as well as opposed to just
- 21:20Speaker 10: the scripted series. And so some of that's within his
- 21:22Speaker 10: own control because if he can stay on the field
- 21:24Speaker 10: for a drive, he can stay on the field for survive, right,
- 21:27Speaker 10: And so I think that that would be the other
- 21:28Speaker 10: kind of separating factor there. But it feels like they're
- 21:31Speaker 10: getting the reps in and these guys are getting a
- 21:33Speaker 10: lot of work. They're just trying to They're just doing
- 21:34Speaker 10: it in creative ways because of how Kelvin Moore kind
- 21:37Speaker 10: of efficiently builds out this process.
- 21:40Speaker 3: So Ross you've been doing this a long time, you
- 21:41Speaker 3: know as well as we do that organically, the team's
- 21:44Speaker 3: going to kind of just pick the starter almost for you.
- 21:46Speaker 3: And the team's going to show you before the coach
- 21:48Speaker 3: even has to get on the podium and announce to
- 21:50Speaker 3: the starter is going to be.
- 21:51Speaker 2: And I don't want to put any thoughts into your brain.
- 21:54Speaker 3: I want to get your own thoughts, but I'll just
- 21:56Speaker 3: tell you from my perspective, like being at camp and
- 21:58Speaker 3: kind of seeing how the guys interacted with the quarterbacks
- 22:01Speaker 3: and seeing which quarterback look comfortable compared to robotic.
- 22:05Speaker 2: I thought Spencer Rattler.
- 22:06Speaker 3: Looks like a guy that you know, maybe is starting
- 22:08Speaker 3: to get into that conversation of the team, is kind
- 22:11Speaker 3: of almost making him the guy. He had like a
- 22:13Speaker 3: little nice rpo run and you saw like six or
- 22:15Speaker 3: seven offensive guys kind of run with him on the
- 22:18Speaker 3: sideline and go celebrate with him the other day, Like,
- 22:21Speaker 3: is that kind of how you see it right now?
- 22:23Speaker 3: Is maybe you start to see Spencer kind of get
- 22:26Speaker 3: the ear of the team a little bit. And I
- 22:28Speaker 3: know he was here last year and Tyler Shuck wasn't,
- 22:31Speaker 3: but it just feels like almost organically that's starting to happen.
- 22:35Speaker 10: Yeah, I think I would say I would I would
- 22:37Speaker 10: agree with that. I mean, I think that both his
- 22:39Speaker 10: performance on the field has certainly separated him and kind
- 22:42Speaker 10: of put him at what I would call the you know,
- 22:44Speaker 10: kind of full position right the guy right in the
- 22:45Speaker 10: lead of that pecking order. And then the other thing
- 22:49Speaker 10: that I think stands out to me is, just like
- 22:51Speaker 10: you said, the way that the team kind of rallies
- 22:53Speaker 10: around him and the way that they operate with him
- 22:56Speaker 10: in the huddle. They get in and out of the
- 22:57Speaker 10: huddle quickly. They don't have a lot of rehuddles. They
- 23:00Speaker 10: you know, get to the line of scrimmage in a hurry.
- 23:02Speaker 10: He rushes everybody around like he's a good commanding voice,
- 23:04Speaker 10: and people respond to him. And I think that those
- 23:07Speaker 10: are just as much signifiers sometimes as you know, the
- 23:10Speaker 10: passing stats in training camp or whatever that might be,
- 23:13Speaker 10: you know, as fun as those are, I think in
- 23:16Speaker 10: some cases, a lot of what tells you whether or
- 23:18Speaker 10: not a guy is the starter or is a starter,
- 23:20Speaker 10: or leading a competition or whatever, is just simply how
- 23:23Speaker 10: the other players respond to him. And I think that
- 23:25Speaker 10: you're seeing kind of a commanding presence from Spencer Rallery,
- 23:30Speaker 10: and I think the team is kind of telling you
- 23:31Speaker 10: that too. I feel pretty comfortable saying this because if
- 23:34Speaker 10: they were to turn around and do it, it would
- 23:37Speaker 10: be nine practices in, so I don't think it would
- 23:39Speaker 10: change anything. But Spencer Ratler is the only one of
- 23:41Speaker 10: these three quarterbacks that's never seen a third team rep
- 23:43Speaker 10: for this, you know, throughout training camp, and we just
- 23:46Speaker 10: talked about the number of reps that these guys have seam.
- 23:49Speaker 10: He's never taken a third team rep. He's only ever
- 23:51Speaker 10: been first the second team. But now when we go
- 23:53Speaker 10: there tomorrow and they inevitably give him thirteen reps and
- 23:55Speaker 10: get to look like an idiot, but you.
- 23:59Speaker 2: Practice no, Yeah, and ross to your point.
- 24:01Speaker 3: I actually I caught up with him and we interviewed
- 24:03Speaker 3: him on NFL radio like after that practice, and we
- 24:06Speaker 3: were kind of talking the same things, and he mentioned that,
- 24:08Speaker 3: like he said that himself. He's like, I haven't taken
- 24:11Speaker 3: third team reps. I've only been with the first or
- 24:13Speaker 3: second team. So he notices as well, Yeah.
- 24:16Speaker 10: Yeah, I think that speaks to That speaks to him,
- 24:18Speaker 10: and I'm sure that's part of the confidence that he
- 24:20Speaker 10: shows when he's out on the fields.
- 24:21Speaker 8: Right.
- 24:21Speaker 10: I mean, if you are the guy that started seven
- 24:24Speaker 10: excuse me, started six games, appeared in seven games in
- 24:26Speaker 10: your rookie season, and then you come in and you're
- 24:28Speaker 10: kind of considered the front runner for this battle and
- 24:30Speaker 10: then you get relegated kind of the third team reps, like,
- 24:33Speaker 10: that's going to feel the type of way, right, that's
- 24:35Speaker 10: going to communicate something and that has not been communicated,
- 24:38Speaker 10: which means effectively, whether you know you intend to or not,
- 24:41Speaker 10: as an organization, you are in communicating the opposite thing.
- 24:45Speaker 10: And I think that's that's good for Spencer Ratlers because
- 24:48Speaker 10: that shows a little bit of confidence from your organization
- 24:50Speaker 10: and where they believe not just where his feeling is,
- 24:53Speaker 10: but a little bit of where his floor is too
- 24:55Speaker 10: right the way that they kind of see him in
- 24:58Speaker 10: that area too, to where it's like, you know, we're
- 25:00Speaker 10: not putting you below those second team And I think
- 25:02Speaker 10: that that's something that communicates a sense of competence to them.
- 25:06Speaker 2: All right, this might surprise everybody.
- 25:07Speaker 5: I'm going to direct this conversation away from the quarterbacks
- 25:09Speaker 5: real fast. I want to get like a little I
- 25:11Speaker 5: want to get a little nitty gritty right now. So
- 25:13Speaker 5: when you got a new head coach coming in, you
- 25:15Speaker 5: got to be careful. I feel like sometimes with these
- 25:18Speaker 5: ex quarterbacks, these offensive minded guys, especially young young coaches,
- 25:23Speaker 5: that like, you don't make a team soft, right you
- 25:25Speaker 5: want you want them to hit the training camps about
- 25:28Speaker 5: callous in the body, the mind, the brain for season.
- 25:31Speaker 5: Like I want to know, have the Saints run any
- 25:34Speaker 5: live drills, live tackling, live hitting. I mean, are we
- 25:38Speaker 5: getting some some pads popping out there? How physical has
- 25:41Speaker 5: this training camp been up to this point?
- 25:44Speaker 10: Yeah, I would say yesterday was like Thursday was pretty physical.
- 25:47Speaker 10: I would say Whennesday was pretty physical as well. I
- 25:49Speaker 10: mean you've seen that, right, the things have been pretty
- 25:52Speaker 10: much had been injury free through the first five days
- 25:54Speaker 10: of camp, and they had one hamstring tweak, and then
- 25:56Speaker 10: they got out there for the second day and padded
- 25:58Speaker 10: practices and all of a sudden, Yeah, there's a few
- 26:00Speaker 10: bumps and bruises and things like that. So you can
- 26:02Speaker 10: definitely feel the physicality kind of ramp up. As for
- 26:05Speaker 10: going live and things like that, I will say, you know,
- 26:08Speaker 10: Kellen Moore was asked about that and he did kind
- 26:11Speaker 10: of indicate that he's interested in doing that. That they've
- 26:14Speaker 10: got to get out there and they've got to be
- 26:15Speaker 10: able to provide these players the opportunity to experience that
- 26:18Speaker 10: before they get into exhibition games and what I would
- 26:21Speaker 10: call a less controlled environment. Right, you could be a
- 26:23Speaker 10: little bit more controlled in practice than you're ever going
- 26:26Speaker 10: to be in an exhibition game where you have you know,
- 26:28Speaker 10: the you know some you know, you got the undrapped
- 26:31Speaker 10: free agent guys that are out there on other teams
- 26:33Speaker 10: that are buying to you know, put something good on
- 26:35Speaker 10: tape and be out there and they're taking risks and
- 26:36Speaker 10: going out there and get like, that's hard to control that,
- 26:39Speaker 10: and so you have a more controlled environment within your
- 26:42Speaker 10: own practices, and so I would not be surprised to
- 26:44Speaker 10: see them do it. And like I said, he's already
- 26:46Speaker 10: sort of indicated Kellen Moore has that there's an interest
- 26:49Speaker 10: in getting that in. So I would expect that to
- 26:51Speaker 10: be something that maybe happens as we get closer to
- 26:53Speaker 10: the Chargers game, but with enough time to recover before
- 26:56Speaker 10: the Chargers game. So maybe you know, they have their
- 26:59Speaker 10: next two practices are going to be their longest practices
- 27:02Speaker 10: of their meta re stint, and so maybe that's an
- 27:06Speaker 10: opportunity where they're looking at maybe scrimmaging a little bit
- 27:08Speaker 10: or something like that.
- 27:10Speaker 3: Catching over the guy Ross Jackson talking a little New
- 27:12Speaker 3: Orleans Saints here on ot B.
- 27:13Speaker 2: Let's go to the other side of the football.
- 27:16Speaker 3: And when I was catching up with Mickey Loomis, I
- 27:18Speaker 3: asked him about tiring and how maybe surprising that was
- 27:21Speaker 3: for him that he retired, and Mickey said it was
- 27:24Speaker 3: surprising but not shocking.
- 27:26Speaker 2: He's like, did we have a plan in place?
- 27:28Speaker 3: Not, you know, not like a concrete plan per se
- 27:31Speaker 3: but they went out and they got Julian Blackman. You know,
- 27:34Speaker 3: he was a free agent, and I'm like, you know,
- 27:36Speaker 3: I don't know how impactful a guy can be. He
- 27:38Speaker 3: certainly had moments in the NFL, but like he's he's
- 27:40Speaker 3: on the street right now. I'll tell you what the
- 27:42Speaker 3: practice that I went to when they were doing like
- 27:45Speaker 3: one on ones with the tight ends, Like he looked
- 27:47Speaker 3: really good, Like he made like ross, He made like
- 27:49Speaker 3: four plays the day I was at practice, and so,
- 27:52Speaker 3: like I realized he was technically on the streets.
- 27:55Speaker 2: He wasn't with a team.
- 27:56Speaker 3: But when you don't really have a plan because you
- 27:58Speaker 3: get surprised by one of your leaders retiring, like, so far,
- 28:02Speaker 3: it looks like you've actually filled it in pretty nicely.
- 28:05Speaker 10: Yeah, I mean yeah, for a team that had to
- 28:07Speaker 10: pivot kind of late, right, they sure look prepared. And
- 28:11Speaker 10: I think that some of that comes with some of
- 28:12Speaker 10: what they had in the building too. I mean going
- 28:14Speaker 10: out and getting Justin Reid that effectively allows you to
- 28:17Speaker 10: be able to fill the tyron Matthew communicative quarterback of
- 28:21Speaker 10: the defense role with Justin Reid, and then really what
- 28:24Speaker 10: you're trying to fill at that spot next to what
- 28:26Speaker 10: used to be Tyron Matthews spot, and so that kind
- 28:28Speaker 10: of alleviates things a little bit. So the frontwork kind
- 28:30Speaker 10: of helped them out a little bit. And then you
- 28:32Speaker 10: come in with some pretty good options, guys like Jordan
- 28:34Speaker 10: Housen that have been on this team for a little
- 28:36Speaker 10: while now, a guy like Jonas Sinker who they invested
- 28:38Speaker 10: in in this year's draft as the ability to play safety,
- 28:41Speaker 10: slot corner, you can kind of move play down in
- 28:43Speaker 10: the box, and you can move him around all these
- 28:45Speaker 10: other places. But then you land a guy like Billian Blackman.
- 28:48Speaker 10: He's got tender receptions over his career, but seven of
- 28:50Speaker 10: them in his last two seasons, so uniquely sort of
- 28:54Speaker 10: recently impactful, not you know, you know, two three years
- 28:58Speaker 10: ago impactful. And so I think that that kind of
- 29:01Speaker 10: puts you in a really good space to where you
- 29:02Speaker 10: were able to kind of shift and maybe a little
- 29:05Speaker 10: bit of what the responsibility was going to be for
- 29:07Speaker 10: Justin Reid and then go out there and find your
- 29:09Speaker 10: guy that's going to be able to play further away
- 29:11Speaker 10: from the football. And I've been massively impressed with how
- 29:14Speaker 10: quickly Julian Blackman come in and kind of commanded that role, right, Like,
- 29:18Speaker 10: that's the guy that you signed and really got in
- 29:22Speaker 10: on the second day of practice and then kind of
- 29:24Speaker 10: worked his way up to getting a first team drill
- 29:27Speaker 10: starting to walk through by Tuesday of this past week,
- 29:30Speaker 10: and and now he's got what feels like a pretty
- 29:32Speaker 10: tight hold on that starting role next to Justin Reid.
- 29:36Speaker 10: So I'm sure that there'll be some more rotation there,
- 29:38Speaker 10: but he's been really impressive and really impactful. And I
- 29:41Speaker 10: think that him being a part of that Utah defense,
- 29:44Speaker 10: which Brandon Staley loves from back in that you know,
- 29:47Speaker 10: back in that era of Utah defense, and the communication,
- 29:51Speaker 10: the intelligence, like all the things that he brings to
- 29:53Speaker 10: the field that works really well next to an NFL
- 29:56Speaker 10: just champion like Justin Reid. I think it's going to
- 29:59Speaker 10: be pretty tough to buy for to be one of
- 30:02Speaker 10: those other guys buying for a role to knock him
- 30:04Speaker 10: out of that spot, because so far he's held that
- 30:06Speaker 10: down pretty well.
- 30:08Speaker 3: Ross Before we let you go, every single training camp
- 30:11Speaker 3: across the country, all thirty two teams, every team I've
- 30:15Speaker 3: ever been on, every team Flynn was ever on. There
- 30:17Speaker 3: was a darling of training camp last year for the Saints,
- 30:21Speaker 3: it was Mason Tipton. T Bob talked about him every
- 30:24Speaker 3: single day. He waxed poetic about him. Who is the
- 30:28Speaker 3: darling of training camp for the New Orleans Saints?
- 30:30Speaker 10: So far, Man, it might be Mason Tipson.
- 30:33Speaker 8: Again, I'm not gonna lie to you, and I think
- 30:37Speaker 8: that's one point, like you gotta look at it and
- 30:39Speaker 8: kind of go, all right, you know, one time, one time,
- 30:43Speaker 8: it happened, second time the coincidence. But could it be
- 30:45Speaker 8: a habit? You know what I'm saying?
- 30:47Speaker 10: Yeah, uh so, I gotta give Mason Tipson in.
- 30:50Speaker 8: I mean, he's been excellent.
- 30:51Speaker 10: Actually, have a story dropping today over at Louisiana Sports
- 30:54Speaker 10: dot Net that's about, you know, kind of tracking and
- 30:56Speaker 10: receiving touchdowns in in team drills only, so taking out
- 31:00Speaker 10: seven on seven And look, Tipton's up there, and he's
- 31:04Speaker 10: the guy that has chemistry with all these quarterbacks, and
- 31:06Speaker 10: in particular has a lot of chemistry with Spencer Rattler.
- 31:09Speaker 10: So if you're tracking the quarterback battle, you're looking at
- 31:11Speaker 10: the guys that have chemistry with that quarterback too, and
- 31:13Speaker 10: Mason Tipton is certainly high on that.
- 31:15Speaker 2: But all right, Mason Tipton, we can't escape him.
- 31:18Speaker 3: Even though t bobs in Chicago, he's still thriving down
- 31:21Speaker 3: in New Orleans.
- 31:22Speaker 2: Ross, you're the man. You're the man. We appreciate again.
- 31:27Speaker 3: Ross has an article dropping later, but he's already got
- 31:29Speaker 3: so many great ones on Louisiana Sports dot Net.
- 31:32Speaker 2: Ross. We look forward to the next conversation, my man.
- 31:35Speaker 10: Yes, sir man, thank you so for having me on.
- 31:36Speaker 10: Y'all take care of stay safe and I'll talk to
- 31:38Speaker 10: you soon.
- 31:40Speaker 2: My man.
- 31:40Speaker 3: Mason Tipton just out here thriving again, out here, thriving.
- 31:44Speaker 3: Every training camp has though camp.
- 31:48Speaker 2: Darling, were you ever one? No, you're highfted.
- 31:53Speaker 3: Yeah, you know what I mean. Like it typically it's
- 31:56Speaker 3: an undrafted free agent. I'm trying to think CJ Anderson
- 32:01Speaker 3: running back, broncos Man. He made one run in training camp,
- 32:06Speaker 3: undrafted free agent guy, and we drafted money ball in
- 32:09Speaker 3: the second round. But like it didn't matter, Like whatever
- 32:12Speaker 3: CJ did, the crowd was popping, the coaches were, you know,
- 32:16Speaker 3: daffing each other up.
- 32:18Speaker 2: We had the best.
- 32:20Speaker 5: One of the best examples is was it the first
- 32:22Speaker 5: season of Hard Knocks where it was Danny Amondola year
- 32:27Speaker 5: in two thousand and eight, yeah, he was like the
- 32:29Speaker 5: first like people got the inside. Look, oh, it's like
- 32:31Speaker 5: an undrafted Like this is just like you're talking about.
- 32:34Speaker 2: The darling of training camp.
- 32:35Speaker 7: How did how did he do with the Cowboys?
- 32:39Speaker 2: Released? He knew you somehow, Danny did.
- 32:42Speaker 3: Yeah, because I remember we went to the so you know,
- 32:44Speaker 3: every rookie class used to go to the Hall of Fame,
- 32:48Speaker 3: used to go to camp, and we went with the Cowboys,
- 32:50Speaker 3: and I remember him being like, yeah, yeah, man, flyin man.
- 32:52Speaker 3: That's that's like a little flu Yeah.
- 32:54Speaker 2: One of my buddies receiver in high school.
- 32:57Speaker 5: I went to Texas Tech and was good buddies with him,
- 32:59Speaker 5: and we just kind of Texas you get it, No.
- 33:02Speaker 2: I don't get you get it and gets it. I
- 33:05Speaker 2: don't get it. That's a good choice by the Cowboys.
- 33:07Speaker 4: There, Ross did have. I saw this the other day.
- 33:10Speaker 6: That's why when you asked it, I was like, I
- 33:11Speaker 6: know he's gonna say Mason Timta. He had an article
- 33:14Speaker 6: about it on Louisiana's We're Not at Yesterday, So like
- 33:17Speaker 6: I had read about it yesterday, and like, how do
- 33:20Speaker 6: you get that to translate into the regular season? Like
- 33:24Speaker 6: it's creaty because it was last year, and it's this
- 33:27Speaker 6: year again that he's the camp darling quote unquote, and
- 33:30Speaker 6: it's like, okay, like you said earlier, one is something too,
- 33:35Speaker 6: maybe a little trend.
- 33:36Speaker 2: Here, Yeah, for sure, for sure, but.
- 33:40Speaker 3: Training camp, Yeah, preseason games are different than when when
- 33:44Speaker 3: you got live bullets.
- 33:46Speaker 4: Sure, no, of course no.
- 33:47Speaker 3: But like to your point, you got to find a
- 33:50Speaker 3: way to make that work on the field during the
- 33:52Speaker 3: seventeen games.
- 33:53Speaker 7: Right, I'll defend them a little bit though, like the
- 33:56Speaker 7: situation he was in with the coaching stuff last year too.
- 33:59Speaker 2: Yeah, he got injured. Remember he shined and then he
- 34:02Speaker 2: got injured in camp.
- 34:04Speaker 3: So you missed, like the names a rookie so we
- 34:06Speaker 3: come from Yale, I think, so you're missing valuable reps.
- 34:09Speaker 3: So you know, the deck was stacked against him, and then.
- 34:12Speaker 7: Also trust killing a lot more to at least put
- 34:14Speaker 7: him in a position to succeed.
- 34:16Speaker 5: Speaking of can we are there any new Car Brother
- 34:19Speaker 5: videos that have dropped recently?
- 34:21Speaker 2: We'll check. Yeah, yeah, maybe we can't play them.
- 34:25Speaker 6: Oh thank god, because computers mostuf, Hey, y'all think the
- 34:31Speaker 6: computer is gonna be fixed?
- 34:33Speaker 3: I was just you know, yeah, it's gonna be fixed
- 34:36Speaker 3: by then, right of course, man, it'd be nice to
- 34:39Speaker 3: play videos of training camp and cool stuff.
- 34:43Speaker 5: Can't do it, sorry, we can act him out, No
- 34:48Speaker 5: I can.
- 34:52Speaker 3: Oh, you can zoom in, you can zoom shaking hand
- 34:57Speaker 3: all right. When we come back, Matthew Clayton Flynn is

- 36:35Speaker 2: I got sunshine, bet a bag of useless, but not below.
- 36:41Speaker 2: The future is coming on, is coming not talking toys dropping.
- 36:50Speaker 5: Finally someone let me out of my tags.
- 36:52Speaker 2: Now top of me is nothing because I'm counting no eggs,
- 36:55Speaker 2: all right, not talking.
- 36:56Speaker 3: Welcome back in O TV one, O four five, ESPN
- 36:58Speaker 3: Baton Rouge, the number twenty three team and the OTB
- 37:02Speaker 3: Top twenty five, mister Matthew Clayton Flynn, and.
- 37:06Speaker 5: We are starting with some absolute bangers in the top
- 37:08Speaker 5: twenty five. We got Boise State at twenty five. We
- 37:12Speaker 5: have Memphis at twenty four. The recap this pro and
- 37:17Speaker 5: coming in at number twenty three on the OTB preseason
- 37:21Speaker 5: Top twenty five is the boys from Waco, Texas, Chip
- 37:28Speaker 5: and Johanna, Chip and Johanna Gaines, Ship, Dave Koresh, the
- 37:38Speaker 5: fighting Baylor Bears.
- 37:40Speaker 2: Oh you didn't you win? We are full of kool
- 37:44Speaker 2: Aid drinkers. Yeah, I was trying to do.
- 37:46Speaker 5: Yeah, Homa, Chip and Joanne and Dave Koresh and Dave Brandon,
- 37:52Speaker 5: the Baylor Bears, that good old Baylor line.
- 37:56Speaker 2: We're going with them at number Yeah, chickam number twenty three.
- 38:01Speaker 5: Now, we were talking about potentially putting Auburn somewhere at
- 38:03Speaker 5: the top. I was like, no, no, no, no, no,
- 38:05Speaker 5: we can't do that because on Week one the college
- 38:08Speaker 5: football season, the Baylor Bears host the Auburn Tigers and
- 38:13Speaker 5: they will beat them. Baylor will win the first game
- 38:17Speaker 5: of the season. We'll set them up for a great season. Now,
- 38:20Speaker 5: they do have one of the toughest schedules in the
- 38:22Speaker 5: Big Twelve this.
- 38:24Speaker 2: Year, but that's okay.
- 38:25Speaker 5: They finished their season with six straight wins in the season.
- 38:29Speaker 2: Last year.
- 38:29Speaker 5: Of course, they played LSU very well in the Texas Bowl.
- 38:33Speaker 2: We caught that al though.
- 38:35Speaker 5: Yeah, the flint Ouse was divided. But we're gonna win.
- 38:41Speaker 5: The Baylor Bears at number twenty three. They are bringing
- 38:44Speaker 5: back their quarterback's what's.
- 38:47Speaker 2: That guy's name? Sawyer?
- 38:48Speaker 5: Yep that they actually their offensive coordator is coming into
- 38:52Speaker 5: second year, so I would expect them to be better.
- 38:56Speaker 5: But they average I think four nan forty yards like
- 38:58Speaker 5: thirty three points in the back calf of their season
- 39:00Speaker 5: last year. Their offense is gonna be very good six year.
- 39:05Speaker 5: If we can just get David Ranted to stop talking
- 39:07Speaker 5: about the Wolf of Wall Street, we're gonna be all
- 39:09Speaker 5: right to that.
- 39:12Speaker 2: Unnecessary huh we just the proverbial week.
- 39:18Speaker 4: Okay.
- 39:20Speaker 2: I grew up a Baylor fan. I'm a probably my favorite.
- 39:23Speaker 6: Whenever I say anything about Texas or UT I get
- 39:27Speaker 6: craped for it.
- 39:27Speaker 2: So well, my dad was a quarterback there shout out.
- 39:31Speaker 2: I'm a family. You know, we're Baylor.
- 39:33Speaker 5: But I grew up in the old boyd Casey Stadium,
- 39:36Speaker 5: rip to that stadium, grew up their tailgating.
- 39:40Speaker 6: Was it not McLaine or something like that or mcan Yeah,
- 39:42Speaker 6: beautiful of the stadium.
- 39:44Speaker 5: But yeah, we're gonna go with Baylor Bears at number
- 39:46Speaker 5: twenty three. It ain't no guess it's what. It's gonna
- 39:49Speaker 5: be a rhyme. I like that, picked I was kind
- 39:52Speaker 5: of a little I was kind of a little freestyle
- 39:54Speaker 5: right there.
- 39:54Speaker 2: Like it at number three. That ain't no guess that's
- 39:58Speaker 2: what it's gonna be. Sorry. Robertson a lot better last
- 40:02Speaker 2: year than people think. He's really good. Eight touchdowns, eight picks,
- 40:06Speaker 2: like I mean, he was just awesome.
- 40:09Speaker 5: He is also named of the Maxwell and Warfle Award
- 40:12Speaker 5: preseason watching Danny any.
- 40:14Speaker 2: Warf Danny, me, do I text you a really good pick?
- 40:18Speaker 2: I like that. I think their schedules pretty tough out
- 40:22Speaker 2: of the gates. It is. I like what they have
- 40:24Speaker 2: coming back.
- 40:25Speaker 5: Auburn week one, SMU week two. Then they didn't play
- 40:28Speaker 5: Arizona State week four.
- 40:29Speaker 3: Yeah, who got picked to, you know, be the leader
- 40:31Speaker 3: in the clubhouse in the Big twelve the unofficial media polls.
- 40:34Speaker 2: It's okay. I think they're gonna win a few of them.
- 40:35Speaker 5: They'll lose a few of them, but they're gonna end
- 40:37Speaker 5: the season at exactly twenty three.
- 40:39Speaker 2: Oh man, people asking if I had a stroke, I
- 40:44Speaker 2: don't know, what'd you do? I mean, count sometimes I know,
- 40:47Speaker 2: then he said, and then Brennan says he doesn't even
- 40:49Speaker 2: know what he did. Cte, oh Man, what I do?
- 40:56Speaker 5: I passed out again. I'm trying to think of what
- 40:57Speaker 5: you would have done. I don't know, because we bought
- 41:01Speaker 5: up Dave Koresh. No, do you ever watch that series
- 41:06Speaker 5: mini series I did about the event. I did remember
- 41:11Speaker 5: that event happening when I was a young.
- 41:13Speaker 2: Lad in Tyler, Texas. Scary stuff. Yeah.
- 41:17Speaker 3: No, I'm nervous that the CTS kicked in so much
- 41:20Speaker 3: that I'm just having episodes up here and don't even
- 41:22Speaker 3: know it. And the worst part is you're probably so
- 41:25Speaker 3: CTU field as well.
- 41:26Speaker 2: You didn't notice it.
- 41:27Speaker 5: No, I'm blackout all the time and I don't have
- 41:29Speaker 5: ct I never was had a diagnosed concussion.
- 41:32Speaker 3: What now probably a few undiagnosed? Well, yeah, who among us?
- 41:39Speaker 3: All right, that's your number twenty three team. I think
- 41:40Speaker 3: we're off to a good start. I think we're off
- 41:42Speaker 3: to a great start, our first Power four team. I know,
- 41:46Speaker 3: look at us, Oh, Boise State, Memphis and.
- 41:49Speaker 2: The Baylor Bears.
- 41:50Speaker 3: All right, sick, we'll take a break, close out hour
- 41:54Speaker 3: number two of CTE ot B.
- 41:56Speaker 2: When we come back here on one of four five
- 41:58Speaker 2: ESPN bend rouge a bench. I really don't know what
- 42:01Speaker 2: you do.
- 42:02Speaker 3: I don't either, Gosh, maybe I just need to go
- 42:03Speaker 3: grab a dose, Sechies, Maybe I need to go for dose.
- 42:07Speaker 3: No matter what the situation is, it's a good time
- 42:09Speaker 3: to go four dose heading into the weekend, probably for
- 42:13Speaker 3: a lot of us, the last weekend before school gets
- 42:17Speaker 3: started back, so kind of it got to that last
- 42:21Speaker 3: one mm hm. Go kick your feet up, tell you
- 42:24Speaker 3: by the pool, go to the lake, hang out, go
- 42:27Speaker 3: to the golf course. Whatever, great situation, great time. Never
- 42:31Speaker 3: a bad time to go for dose.
- 42:33Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, sometimes it's a six pack type of weekend.
- 42:37Speaker 5: Sometimes it's twelve. Sometimes it's a full case type of weekend.
- 42:40Speaker 5: You don't know, you don't but always be prepared. Go
- 42:43Speaker 5: when you're shopping, when you're at your local market wherever
- 42:47Speaker 5: it is, and you're like, eh, feeling like a couple
- 42:49Speaker 5: of cold pops, make sure you make it a go, seckies,
- 42:52Speaker 5: go for dose that cold, delicious, golden Mexican lagger. There
- 42:57Speaker 5: is absolutely nothing better. So delete some beers, drinks possibly
- 43:01Speaker 5: no seconds.
- 43:13Speaker 2: Best I think can thinks at.
- 43:14Speaker 1: Dot com dot com from players to legends, Hester and
- 43:17Speaker 1: Flynn breakdown l s U Football like only champions can.
- 43:33Speaker 3: All right, so we figured it out. I did not
- 43:35Speaker 3: have a stroke, and I'm a little surprised by the
- 43:38Speaker 3: people that didn't. I didn't know the reference. Abo shout
- 43:42Speaker 3: out to you. It's the Sorority Girl video where they're
- 43:46Speaker 3: like saying, what college you're going to go to? Right?
- 43:49Speaker 3: And they just they start talking but there's not there's
- 43:53Speaker 3: not real words, and one of them was Baylor with
- 43:56Speaker 3: the sick them. So she gets up there and didn't I'm.
- 44:02Speaker 2: Taylor play the video video. Yeah, I bet if Matt
- 44:09Speaker 2: wants to play the video at three o'clock he can
- 44:10Speaker 2: do it. Wouldn't be shocked by that, Like that's on, Daniel.
- 44:14Speaker 2: We've played that video I think three times.
- 44:16Speaker 3: Yeah, we're gonna play it four that if we could
- 44:19Speaker 3: play videos, I feel shocked.
- 44:24Speaker 2: It's my favorite video.
- 44:25Speaker 3: It's like whatever the Abilene Christian one is if I forget,
- 44:29Speaker 3: but like, that's my favorite one. She has the Abline
- 44:31Speaker 3: Christian shirt. Whatever they're saying is because I didn't know
- 44:34Speaker 3: what it was. I was like, I was expecting the
- 44:36Speaker 3: Baylor sick on.
- 44:39Speaker 2: It's scratch them cats? Which one that might be? That
- 44:42Speaker 2: might be it?
- 44:44Speaker 7: Whichever school that's why.
- 44:47Speaker 3: Oh it's so good that's been on air for two hours.
- 44:57Speaker 3: Could have gotten it fixed. Two hours, two hours, two
- 45:02Speaker 3: hours of the show. No video, Yeah we don't. We
- 45:05Speaker 3: don't even have our little TV's up there. So like,
- 45:07Speaker 3: if we don't have our little TVs up here, are
- 45:09Speaker 3: we even on eleven thirty am The Tiger? Are we
- 45:12Speaker 3: even on ninety four to seven ESPN Alexandria? Who knows
- 45:16Speaker 3: where are we? I don't even know.
- 45:17Speaker 2: We don't even have our times? Are actually listening? That's
- 45:22Speaker 2: all us?
- 45:22Speaker 3: No, that's fine, that's how it's supposed to be. They're
- 45:24Speaker 3: hanging out with us. We're one and the same.
- 45:29Speaker 5: Three hours does go by fast on this show. We
- 45:32Speaker 5: usually get done with the show. We're like, oh, we
- 45:34Speaker 5: forgot to bring up this, Oh we forgot to bring
- 45:36Speaker 5: up that.
- 45:38Speaker 3: Well, you know, we do have a document that you
- 45:41Speaker 3: just learned that you have to open every day.
