- 1:51Speaker 1: What's that thirteenth? Fourteen?
- 1:53Speaker 2: Is it? Friday the thirteenth, eleven? Friday Friday the eleventh.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Okay, Friday eleventh, Friday eleventh, This film will be in theaters.
- 2:02Speaker 1: I was about to say something made sure y'all peep it,
- 2:04Speaker 1: but I'm not gonna say that just yet. You know,
- 2:06Speaker 1: we're gonna get into this review. This will be a
- 2:08Speaker 1: pretty non spoiler review. If you've seen any of the trailers,
- 2:12Speaker 1: you already know the basic plot of this film.
- 2:16Speaker 2: And I haven't seen it. By the way, this is
- 2:18Speaker 2: just been telling you.
- 2:19Speaker 1: This is just me. I just came from the screening. Literally,
- 2:22Speaker 1: I just saw this movie earlier tonight. Shout out to
- 2:26Speaker 1: everyone who got me into that, you know, thank you
- 2:28Speaker 1: for that. Ah. The Amateur. It stars our friend Ronnie Mallock,
- 2:35Speaker 1: who we've actually met, you know, talked to before. That's me,
- 2:40Speaker 1: you know, love mister Robot always, the God, Lawrence Fishburn,
- 2:44Speaker 1: I mean, just you know, living legend himself. John Barenthal
- 2:49Speaker 1: shows up.
- 2:51Speaker 2: He looked like he just showed up based on the trailer.
- 2:53Speaker 3: He's just so randomly placed, like oh, okay, the punishers there,
- 2:56Speaker 3: all right, yeah.
- 2:58Speaker 1: We'll get into it. But yeah it was random. I
- 3:01Speaker 1: don't know Shorty's name, but the.
- 3:04Speaker 2: Rachel Brosnan Brosna excuse me, she plays Sarah.
- 3:08Speaker 1: No, she shows up. I mean the plot of the
- 3:12Speaker 1: movie is that, you know, Rodney's wife is murdered and
- 3:14Speaker 1: he goes on a revenge free you know, you know
- 3:18Speaker 1: he works for the CIA, but he is not a
- 3:21Speaker 1: c I A in the field agent. He is someone
- 3:23Speaker 1: who figures out code. He's a code breaker, so he
- 3:26Speaker 1: sits around the desk all day and you know, braks code.
- 3:29Speaker 1: But then his wife gets killed in the terrorists. He's
- 3:35Speaker 1: taking okay, yeah, I mean he is. This movie is
- 3:41Speaker 1: purple and propaganda in all through it. Yeah, heavy, heavy
- 3:46Speaker 1: c i A propaganda in this one, heavy commaganda, heavy everything.
- 3:51Speaker 1: Ganda every America is just doing right in the world,
- 3:55Speaker 1: even when we're operating in dark spaces. We don't operate
- 3:59Speaker 1: in the dark. It's literally a line set in this film. No,
- 4:03Speaker 1: but Shorty, who plays uh, oh my god, John Barenthal's
- 4:10Speaker 1: aka A in the film is the bear.
- 4:13Speaker 2: That had to be on purpose.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Yeah, Shorty, who plays the President in Paradise. Right, she's
- 4:20Speaker 1: playing the president? Right?
- 4:21Speaker 3: Oh? Yes, yes, oh, Julianne Nicholson.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Julianne Nicholson. Y, she's in this. A bunch of people
- 4:32Speaker 1: showed up for checks. Basically, it is what this movie is.
- 4:35Speaker 1: I really have to say this off bat before we
- 4:37Speaker 1: go any further, not to waste any time. This movie
- 4:39Speaker 1: is the most and this would be my pull quote.
- 4:42Speaker 1: This is the most algorithmically written movie I've ever seen.
- 4:47Speaker 1: Shout out to the two screenwriters. I know this was
- 4:49Speaker 1: not done by AI, but I do fully believe like
- 4:53Speaker 1: as is known, like Netflix will make movies nowadays where
- 4:57Speaker 1: they'll be like, Okay, we need this actor because people
- 5:01Speaker 1: like them. In this the computer says that this actor
- 5:03Speaker 1: draws these people because of this role after formulation, you know,
- 5:08Speaker 1: and it's done by a computer. And not only Netflix,
- 5:11Speaker 1: every studio now is, you know, imitating this formula. And
- 5:14Speaker 1: there's also the thing about movies being made and film
- 5:18Speaker 1: and television being made where people know that you're gonna
- 5:21Speaker 1: be looking at your phone, so it can't be too
- 5:24Speaker 1: intelligent or too distracting or anything.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Were you in the theater looking at your phone?
- 5:28Speaker 1: No, but the dude next to me, and this is
- 5:30Speaker 1: a media screening, right, the dude two seats next to me.
- 5:34Speaker 1: It wasn't that many people because there's been a bunch
- 5:36Speaker 1: of media screenings, like I know there was one earlier
- 5:37Speaker 1: at twelve. Yeah, I think that's one last week, there's
- 5:40Speaker 1: one coming up, so a lot of people have already
- 5:42Speaker 1: seen the movie. So I'm I'm I'm not sure if
- 5:44Speaker 1: dude was media or not. He was an old white man,
- 5:47Speaker 1: you know. But my man pulls on his phone at
- 5:49Speaker 1: the start the movie, and I thought'm like, okay, cool,
- 5:51Speaker 1: you know, you're just checking his phone, you know something, Yeah,
- 5:53Speaker 1: maybe taking notes before you know, like you know, right,
- 5:56Speaker 1: it's the movie starting. That's fine, you know, but then
- 5:58Speaker 1: like you know, we ten minutes in, my man is
- 6:00Speaker 1: texting and ship, you know, because I can look over
- 6:02Speaker 1: and see your screen. So I turned him like, yoh,
- 6:04Speaker 1: brou can you put that away? It's not even making
- 6:06Speaker 1: any noise. I said, it's bright and put his phone away.
- 6:11Speaker 1: He also left, like thirty minutes into it. He you know,
- 6:14Speaker 1: I don't know why, but he made the right choice.
- 6:20Speaker 2: I love it. Just barking on the.
- 6:23Speaker 3: That's rude, as that's like one of the main things
- 6:27Speaker 3: about when you go to a theater it's dark for reason,
- 6:29Speaker 3: start for a reason, star for It's one thing. You
- 6:31Speaker 3: just need it real quick to like check somebody bringing
- 6:34Speaker 3: you whatever.
- 6:35Speaker 1: But you're not a surgeon fan. Nobody's hitting you up
- 6:37Speaker 1: like that.
- 6:38Speaker 2: Just to be on a sustained you know, time sustain.
- 6:42Speaker 1: My man lose every two minutes checking his phone.
- 6:45Speaker 2: Maybe he got something to do, maybe he's Batman.
- 6:47Speaker 1: I don't know, Hey, but then Batman needs to be
- 6:50Speaker 1: out there fighting criminals and that's what he left to do.
- 6:52Speaker 1: Good job, Batman, get to work. Yeah, and fuck that.
- 6:57Speaker 1: You need to be giving your money away, you racist billionaires. Anyway, random, No,
- 7:03Speaker 1: I'm talking about Sorry to get home to my family.
- 7:11Speaker 1: I'm over calling him out look anyway, And this is
- 7:15Speaker 1: a movie you could be on your phone for after
- 7:19Speaker 1: all that.
- 7:22Speaker 3: Screaming at the vands, come to find out you don't
- 7:25Speaker 3: even matter.
- 7:28Speaker 2: Good job, and I mean.
- 7:33Speaker 1: I can't lie like I say. Okay, God, back to
- 7:36Speaker 1: the point of this movie. Be the most algorithmically movie
- 7:39Speaker 1: we've ever written. You have Laurence Fishburne's starring as a
- 7:42Speaker 1: mentor a ka. Morpheus of an untrained person who has
- 7:47Speaker 1: not entered this world of killing and fighting, then now
- 7:50Speaker 1: they want to enter it. You have Romney Mallard playing
- 7:53Speaker 1: himself for mister Robot, a cold, semi unfeeling person, but somehow,
- 7:59Speaker 1: you know, like they try and set up that he
- 8:01Speaker 1: loves his wife. In the first five minutes, I did
- 8:03Speaker 1: not feel it. I felt nothing. So when she gets
- 8:06Speaker 1: you know, hot pocketed five minutes later, I didn't really care.
- 8:09Speaker 1: It was like, sure, you know, I guess he's supposed
- 8:12Speaker 1: to love her, but you know, it's robby and I'm sorry.
- 8:14Speaker 1: I've not seen Robny in a role yet where he
- 8:16Speaker 1: really expresses like more than robotic type emotions. Mercury, I
- 8:22Speaker 1: didn't see that will joint, you know.
- 8:23Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 8:23Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know. Maybe okay, you.
- 8:26Speaker 2: Said maybe he cried. He's anyway, continue he cries in this.
- 8:30Speaker 1: But like I said, it's what it is that they
- 8:33Speaker 1: don't spend enough time with them. She is in maybe
- 8:37Speaker 1: two minutes before she is dead. You know, it's just
- 8:40Speaker 1: she's just a plot device. Yeah, she is pure plot device.
- 8:43Speaker 1: And then there's a lot of flashbats to try and
- 8:45Speaker 1: make you feel it, you know, but it's all the corny,
- 8:47Speaker 1: you know, Hollywood type flash. It's like you never feel it.
- 8:50Speaker 1: There's no more lines from her. You know, she's never talking.
- 8:53Speaker 1: She just sully in the room with him, you know,
- 8:55Speaker 1: walking by or he thinks he sees her, that type
- 8:57Speaker 1: of stuff.
- 8:58Speaker 2: Oh okay, they definitely yeah.
- 9:01Speaker 1: Plot device. You know, I don't know what roles she's
- 9:04Speaker 1: played before, but it's probably plot device role. The way
- 9:06Speaker 1: this movie is written, because it feels like, you know, oh,
- 9:09Speaker 1: we need a woman who's known as a plot device. Okay,
- 9:11Speaker 1: here she is, so Ronnie Mallett plays that. John Bearenthal
- 9:16Speaker 1: plays a combination of Punisher and like, I swear, I'm
- 9:20Speaker 1: sitting there looking at the Wikipedia and I cannot believe
- 9:22Speaker 1: that it's on there, that it's AKA is the Bear
- 9:25Speaker 1: Because this man shows up for a scene where he's
- 9:27Speaker 1: in a diner and comments on the food, and if
- 9:30Speaker 1: you've seen The Bear season two, it feels like the
- 9:32Speaker 1: same where he's talking to Shorty in the back room.
- 9:34Speaker 1: You know, it's like that exact same scene, you know,
- 9:37Speaker 1: just recreating in a Russian diner for some god there reason,
- 9:40Speaker 1: something like it's a Russian rundown bar. It's so weird.
- 9:43Speaker 1: But again, this movie feels like, you know, everyone is
- 9:46Speaker 1: there because the computer knows that you've seen them in
- 9:49Speaker 1: the mother roles, and you like the mother roles. So
- 9:51Speaker 1: if we put them all together, we'll have something that
- 9:53Speaker 1: resembles a movie. And that's how this movie heals. If
- 9:57Speaker 1: you've seen any type revenge movie John Wick down from
- 10:02Speaker 1: you know, the beginning of Hollywood, I've seen this before.
- 10:05Speaker 1: You know. Other than that Robmy is not it's more
- 10:09Speaker 1: akin to the ones where it's like, I don't know
- 10:11Speaker 1: what this is because it's not like the you know,
- 10:14Speaker 1: the like the Salt sort of long castra night where
- 10:17Speaker 1: it's some woman and she just doesn't remember that she's
- 10:20Speaker 1: a murderer. You know. He's just not a murderer. And
- 10:22Speaker 1: that's and like Lawrence, he goes to train with Lawrence,
- 10:26Speaker 1: and Lawrence is like, you're weak. You can't shoot anybody
- 10:28Speaker 1: up close. You can't do it. But what Ronny is
- 10:30Speaker 1: good at is making bombs and things of that nature
- 10:32Speaker 1: because you know, he's a code breaker, so that type
- 10:34Speaker 1: of stuff work. So what he does is blow people up.
- 10:39Speaker 2: That's what That's what they're show like. He blows them.
- 10:42Speaker 2: He's just running away like he like Goblin.
- 10:45Speaker 1: Yeah, and inadvertently getting people killed and things of that nature.
- 10:48Speaker 1: But he does kill a few people directly in this film,
- 10:51Speaker 1: and it's one of those things where you're supposed to
- 10:53Speaker 1: root for a psychopath. Like I've talked about this with
- 10:55Speaker 1: John Whitt before, but this is even more like people
- 10:58Speaker 1: constantly telling him you're on this single revenge. You know,
- 11:01Speaker 1: one of the people he's trying to kill system down.
- 11:03Speaker 1: It was like did you feel better after you killed?
- 11:06Speaker 5: You know?
- 11:06Speaker 1: There's like one like I mean he literally and it's goofy.
- 11:09Speaker 1: You know. He has a conversation with the one of
- 11:11Speaker 1: the terrorists, who I swear must have played a therapist
- 11:14Speaker 1: in another role, because again it's like they get to
- 11:16Speaker 1: sit down and have this conversation. You know, Ronny has
- 11:19Speaker 1: killed three people, this man knows, and it's coming to
- 11:21Speaker 1: kill him, and yet this man wants to sit down
- 11:23Speaker 1: and have a philosophical conversation with him about murder instead
- 11:27Speaker 1: of just putting a bullet in Robney's face and corn
- 11:29Speaker 1: of the movie. You know, so no, that doesn't happen. Yeah,
- 11:35Speaker 1: It's that's the thing. If you've seen one of these
- 11:38Speaker 1: movies before, you've seen this one, and I'm just it predictable. Yes,
- 11:43Speaker 1: in every way, shape or form other than there was one.
- 11:47Speaker 1: It was very heavy handed in certain things, and I
- 11:50Speaker 1: thought that it was going this way with the heavy
- 11:52Speaker 1: end of this. But it's also that I feel like
- 11:56Speaker 1: John Bereenthal's role must have been reduced or left on
- 11:59Speaker 1: the cutting room floor.
- 12:01Speaker 2: Oh okay, else would be there.
- 12:03Speaker 1: Yeah, because it feels like he's a minace and then
- 12:05Speaker 1: he's just barely in the movie where it's like okay,
- 12:10Speaker 1: you know, and I had to sit I really had
- 12:14Speaker 1: to think about it afterwards, like why was he in
- 12:16Speaker 1: the second scene? What got him there? And then it
- 12:19Speaker 1: still didn't really make sense. But there's a lot of that.
- 12:23Speaker 1: You know, at one point the Russians committed international incident
- 12:27Speaker 1: because why not? You know, it's just one of those
- 12:30Speaker 1: things like okay, like sure that would happen in real life.
- 12:33Speaker 1: You know, sure a Russian hits squad would shoot up
- 12:36Speaker 1: a Turkish neighborhood, you know, trying to kill Robney, you know,
- 12:41Speaker 1: I mean from a boat at that Like Robby is
- 12:44Speaker 1: driving in a car through a neighborhood and they're on
- 12:47Speaker 1: a boat just busting off shots.
- 12:49Speaker 3: You know, Like I don't remember in the trailer, but
- 12:52Speaker 3: does anyone have any like wild accents.
- 12:57Speaker 1: There's a white there's as an actress. I'm not sure
- 13:01Speaker 1: of her name and who she is, but she's playing
- 13:04Speaker 1: a Russian who lives in Turkey and she's white. And
- 13:09Speaker 1: it was it's that's another thing. It's like, wherever Romney goes,
- 13:12Speaker 1: he finds white people to help him, you know, or
- 13:14Speaker 1: hurt him, even though he's full in you know, places
- 13:18Speaker 1: full of colored people. It's like, I can't find any
- 13:21Speaker 1: people of color. You know. It's like no Morpheus. Well again,
- 13:27Speaker 1: a lot of people are there for checks and not there.
- 13:29Speaker 1: They're there for a good time, not for a long time.
- 13:32Speaker 2: So you know what.
- 13:33Speaker 1: That was another thing as big as like I'm looking
- 13:35Speaker 1: at the poster right now, as big Morpheus is all
- 13:37Speaker 1: the supposed to.
- 13:40Speaker 5: My man's like that, Oh it's it's I love the theater,
- 13:47Speaker 5: like stunned, honestly, Like you know how little Morpheus is
- 13:50Speaker 5: in this film?
- 13:51Speaker 3: Well, you know this is interesting, this says This film
- 13:53Speaker 3: was supposed to be scheduled to be released November eighth,
- 13:56Speaker 3: twenty twenty four.
- 13:57Speaker 1: Oh, definitely feels like it.
- 13:59Speaker 2: So and it now came out. So was that rerise.
- 14:02Speaker 1: There's a scene with Morpheus in it that felt like
- 14:04Speaker 1: the most what like I said, algorithmic and test screening
- 14:09Speaker 1: written movie, because there's a scene with Morpheus that felt like,
- 14:13Speaker 1: you know, we got its played something here dies. You know,
- 14:15Speaker 1: every test preene we've shown this to, they just want
- 14:18Speaker 1: to know what happened to Morphius. So you know, call
- 14:21Speaker 1: the guys up and you know, go filming them a
- 14:22Speaker 1: parking lot somewhere and because that's literally what happens.
- 14:26Speaker 3: Okay, was there anything redeeming about this film?
- 14:30Speaker 2: Like I mean, was there anything fun about the film?
- 14:32Speaker 1: Yes, it is definitely, you know as long term or
- 14:35Speaker 1: short term listen to the show. I have a category
- 14:38Speaker 1: of films I'll have to call TNT movies that you
- 14:41Speaker 1: watch before the best TBS, TBSS, TN, T West. Whatever
- 14:48Speaker 1: the game is on, you know, especially during the playoffs,
- 14:52Speaker 1: you know when T and T got them like right now,
- 14:53Speaker 1: specially we're heading into the playoff season. You know, all
- 14:55Speaker 1: the games are good. Sunday afternoon, you're waiting for the
- 14:59Speaker 1: game him to come on. Oh ship the amateur there
- 15:03Speaker 1: you go. Fam you're cleaning the house, you're doing other things,
- 15:10Speaker 1: and in between your watching, you know, some of your
- 15:12Speaker 1: favorite actors show up that's the thing.
- 15:14Speaker 2: It's like, it's.
- 15:16Speaker 1: A great cleaning movie. All there's so many great actors
- 15:20Speaker 1: in it, and they're all playing in roles that you've
- 15:23Speaker 1: seen them do before. So if you like them in
- 15:25Speaker 1: those roles, you're gonna enjoy them. And then it's unintentionally
- 15:29Speaker 1: hilarious to me.
- 15:30Speaker 3: Was any of the action, like, I mean, I know
- 15:31Speaker 3: you talk about a lot of people killing each other
- 15:33Speaker 3: or trying to Was there any of the action any good?
- 15:35Speaker 2: Like any hand to hand and.
- 15:37Speaker 1: Laurence JITs into a hand to hand? I ain't got
- 15:44Speaker 1: thrown across the table, and I felt bad, you know,
- 15:49Speaker 1: felt bad for I know it's the stuntman, you know,
- 15:52Speaker 1: I get it, but I just felt bad, you know,
- 15:55Speaker 1: like Lawrn's Fishberg's in a movie getting thrown across tables
- 15:58Speaker 1: at his you know, stately age, you know what I mean,
- 16:02Speaker 1: Like I don't want to be in a movie in
- 16:03Speaker 1: my age being thrown across tables. I do it, you know,
- 16:06Speaker 1: don't get me wrong. You can put me in a
- 16:07Speaker 1: movie and throw me across the table. I'm there for it.
- 16:09Speaker 2: But that's actually that's fucked up. It's actually a really
- 16:11Speaker 2: good way to put it.
- 16:12Speaker 1: Stately, Yes, stately, you know what I mean, Like he
- 16:15Speaker 1: does need to not need to be getting thrown across tables,
- 16:17Speaker 1: and he definitely did not know. Like my one of
- 16:21Speaker 1: my other poll quotes is, you know, I'm not sure
- 16:23Speaker 1: about Ronny Meller, Ronny Malleck, but Laurence Fishburne deserves better
- 16:26Speaker 1: than this was. Robmy deserves checks. You know, Lawrence deserves
- 16:35Speaker 1: checks too, but he deserves a better film with his
- 16:37Speaker 1: checks than this.
- 16:39Speaker 3: Now I understand this is a mortgage movie for a
- 16:40Speaker 3: lot of people, but what was the acting good.
- 16:44Speaker 1: In other roles? Since you like, they're doing those roles again.
- 16:48Speaker 2: So it's like like nothing's next.
- 16:50Speaker 1: I mean, are they really even acting at this point?
- 16:53Speaker 1: You know, if John Berenthal acting when he shows up
- 16:55Speaker 1: and talks medicine for a few scenes like this, what
- 17:00Speaker 1: the man does on a daily basis, I believe, you know,
- 17:03Speaker 1: I don't. I think Robny ballas you know, general demeanor
- 17:06Speaker 1: is somewhere near robotic. You know, Like I.
- 17:12Speaker 2: Don't remember him being like that when I met him.
- 17:14Speaker 1: He was very chilled. When you met him, he was chill,
- 17:16Speaker 1: very chill, very chill, not robotic. That's what I'm saying
- 17:19Speaker 1: in this he's a bit robotic, you know, he's more
- 17:21Speaker 1: like mister Robot, but he's chill. I guess he. I mean,
- 17:25Speaker 1: the man turns into a pure armed cycle path. That
- 17:28Speaker 1: is one of the more entertaining parts of the film
- 17:30Speaker 1: to me, is like like he's worse than John with
- 17:33Speaker 1: like he tortures motherfuckers. Like again, people point that out
- 17:36Speaker 1: to him too, like you didn't just shoot these people,
- 17:39Speaker 1: you know what I mean, you straight up tortured them,
- 17:42Speaker 1: And he like yeah, I mean he keeps doing it.
- 17:45Speaker 1: He has no real physical reaction to it. Like we
- 17:48Speaker 1: see him vomit early when here, when he confronts somebody
- 17:51Speaker 1: the first time, he bucks up, you know, and he
- 17:52Speaker 1: like talks bid to his bosses and then he goes vomits.
- 17:55Speaker 1: But after that, my man is murdering people with no problems.
- 17:59Speaker 1: So he's more like, well he went and had some
- 18:02Speaker 1: drinks after the first body.
- 18:04Speaker 3: Well that's kind of psychotic, just drinks.
- 18:09Speaker 1: No, no, no, he was drinking, my man, you know, you're
- 18:12Speaker 1: trying to drink that pain away, you know. But then
- 18:15Speaker 1: I guess, like they say, you know, you catch the
- 18:16Speaker 1: first body, becomes easy because after that he win in
- 18:19Speaker 1: a full on torture mode. Well, no, the first one
- 18:21Speaker 1: was a torture mode that led to a body, and
- 18:24Speaker 1: in the second body he was just like enjoying his torture.
- 18:27Speaker 1: The third one, he definitely enjoyed that, and he would
- 18:30Speaker 1: have enjoyed the fourth one, but he you know, worked
- 18:32Speaker 1: on another way to you know, get rid of that cat.
- 18:35Speaker 2: How was the ending?
- 18:37Speaker 1: Hilariously goofy my man, I'm a I'm a give it away.
- 18:39Speaker 1: This is a spoiler just for the exact last moment
- 18:43Speaker 1: of the movie. My man flies off into the sunset
- 18:46Speaker 1: like you know you've heard you know, you've heard of
- 18:48Speaker 1: like like I mean, and not even like on a
- 18:51Speaker 1: plane or my man literally gets into a small plane
- 18:55Speaker 1: and flies himself off into the sun literal wow wow,
- 19:00Speaker 1: Like literally he flies off into the sunset.
- 19:04Speaker 2: So with all that that you just said, would you
- 19:07Speaker 2: recommend this.
- 19:07Speaker 1: Movie when it comes on streaming?
- 19:11Speaker 3: So streaming cool, But don't get up out your seat
- 19:14Speaker 3: to go to the theater.
- 19:15Speaker 1: I can't do that, you know what I mean. It's
- 19:17Speaker 1: all good conscience other than like, let's say you like
- 19:21Speaker 1: to support theaters, you know what I mean, which a
- 19:22Speaker 1: good noble cause. Then this is this, It is entertaining
- 19:26Speaker 1: I'm like, I'm not like, that's the thing. Okay, Yes,
- 19:30Speaker 1: if you like these actors and you like this type
- 19:33Speaker 1: of film, then I would say it's worth a trip
- 19:35Speaker 1: to the theater.
- 19:37Speaker 2: It's give me Netflix. It's give me Netflix. Yah.
- 19:39Speaker 1: The one thing about it, it just doesn't have a
- 19:42Speaker 1: lot of It's not like a John wh where he
- 19:44Speaker 1: is out shooting people left right, you know, fist fights
- 19:47Speaker 1: all the time. There's not that much of that, you know.
- 19:50Speaker 1: It's more like methodical murders, you know. And there ain't
- 19:55Speaker 1: that many bodies called in this one, you know, so
- 19:58Speaker 1: it ain't like if you're not looking for that. If
- 19:59Speaker 1: you're looking for that, then this and it. But there
- 20:02Speaker 1: are some inventive bodies proud in this.
- 20:04Speaker 2: Okay.
- 20:05Speaker 1: You know that's no it is. I'm not gonna get
- 20:12Speaker 1: away any more than that. But you know, my man is,
- 20:15Speaker 1: like I said, my man is a here on psychopath,
- 20:17Speaker 1: you know, like y'all know I've called John with the
- 20:20Speaker 1: psychopath for years. This man has taking the cake. I mean,
- 20:24Speaker 1: but this man at least has his direct wife being murdered.
- 20:26Speaker 1: Body for you. But he's like, no, I'm gonna get yeah,
- 20:29Speaker 1: you know, it's not like John Wick and.
- 20:31Speaker 2: His dog, you know it's his hey man white. People
- 20:33Speaker 2: love dogs.
- 20:34Speaker 1: Man, I love him too. I love I've had many
- 20:38Speaker 1: a dog, you know, And if someone came along and
- 20:40Speaker 1: shot one of my dogs, I'm gonna probably get I'm
- 20:44Speaker 1: probably gonna go get another dog.
- 20:51Speaker 2: What what letter grade are you giving the amateur?
- 21:00Speaker 1: Oh that's just one of my favorite lines from a
- 21:03Speaker 1: great film. Do the right thing. I just want to say, Oh.
- 21:07Speaker 2: Jason Staton scored higher, So what.
- 21:10Speaker 1: Did the what did the working man get?
- 21:12Speaker 2: I gave it like a C plus.
- 21:15Speaker 1: I'm much harsher than you. I would give this, I would,
- 21:19Speaker 1: I would give this a C. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I
- 21:23Speaker 1: would do this to ce C plus if the yeah,
- 21:29Speaker 1: the C plus Finisen was for the hilarity, you know,
- 21:32Speaker 1: like the unintentional hilarity, and for like's nottentional. Well, the
- 21:40Speaker 1: fact that they go to Russia and then put John
- 21:42Speaker 1: Barnhal onto a small bar where he orders food and
- 21:45Speaker 1: talks about it. That was intentional, you know what I mean,
- 21:51Speaker 1: Like they knew what they were doing when they did
- 21:53Speaker 1: that scene, you know, like it was that it's that
- 21:56Speaker 1: type of thing, you know, they knew what they were
- 21:58Speaker 1: doing when it cast Morpheus, you know, as a teacher
- 22:01Speaker 1: mentor damn. You know it's that type of hilarious. Yeah. No,
- 22:05Speaker 1: I'm not sorry for Roy. I'm sorry for Lauren.
- 22:10Speaker 2: I didn't see it.
- 22:11Speaker 1: I'm kind of sorry for John Barenthal because he deserves
- 22:14Speaker 1: better than this.
- 22:18Speaker 3: Sign up for this what it was when they signed up? Anew,
- 22:22Speaker 3: what it was when you signed up?
- 22:23Speaker 1: No, Roy, I'm saying, you know, he young, prime of
- 22:26Speaker 1: his career, he fined, Lawrence deserves better than this, you
- 22:29Speaker 1: know what. True, indeed, but he's worked too hard. He
- 22:32Speaker 1: should be signing up for better than this.
- 22:37Speaker 2: Is he being offered better than this?
- 22:39Speaker 1: That's what That's what I mean. He deserves better than this.
- 22:41Speaker 1: That's what I mean that. There's my point right there.
- 22:44Speaker 1: You know, like when you're doing like the check mortgage movies.
- 22:47Speaker 1: But I get it, you know, maybe that check. But
- 22:49Speaker 1: if the check was massive, then I ain't mad at all,
- 22:51Speaker 1: you know, if that, if his agent came through was like, yo,
- 22:54Speaker 1: we got this there, Hey you Lawrence, you know, salute
- 22:58Speaker 1: because they, like I said, he's he's massive on the
- 23:01Speaker 1: boaster like so they must have. You know, I felt
- 23:03Speaker 1: like they paid for.
- 23:04Speaker 2: His time the past time.
- 23:05Speaker 3: Okay, I'm about paying for for a man's time in
- 23:09Speaker 3: legends time.
- 23:10Speaker 1: Respect but respect to the aperture. In that case, I'll
- 23:14Speaker 1: bump you up to C plus for paying for Laurence.
- 23:20Speaker 2: All right, anything else about you've done.
- 23:22Speaker 1: That, I think I'm done. Like I say, T and
- 23:25Speaker 1: T joint, you know, before the game quality, you know,
- 23:29Speaker 1: beyond that. I you know, if you like these people,
- 23:31Speaker 1: check it. But you've seen this film before and better,
- 23:35Speaker 1: you know. I have to say, yeah, I have to
- 23:38Speaker 1: couple inventive, you know, body catching for that. You know,
- 23:42Speaker 1: for those in the crowd, it's funny to see Rodney
- 23:45Speaker 1: Mallet crash out. I can't lie. That was hilarious. There's
- 23:49Speaker 1: a lot of unintentional things. It's okay. It is a
- 23:53Speaker 1: complete and not in a fast and furious way, but
- 23:56Speaker 1: just saying you've got to suspend your belief in this one.
- 24:00Speaker 1: You know, it's just it's a ridiculous film on a
- 24:02Speaker 1: lot of levels. So yeah, go into it, don't think
- 24:05Speaker 1: about it too much, enjoy eats the popcorn. Watch These
- 24:08Speaker 1: acts play their roles to you know that you love
- 24:10Speaker 1: and you might have a good time see C plus.
- 24:14Speaker 2: Okay, that's fair. Yeah, but we appreciate everybody listening.
- 24:20Speaker 3: Sorry, well you didn't suffer, Okay, it wasn't good time.
- 24:25Speaker 1: It was not one of those things where I was like,
- 24:28Speaker 1: it was not thor Love and Thunder, which we go
- 24:30Speaker 1: back to suffering, Yes, which was suffering, you know, which
- 24:34Speaker 1: is pure suffering where I wanted to walk out, where
- 24:36Speaker 1: I felt like mine I did feel like my intelligence
- 24:40Speaker 1: being insulted, but more so on the fact that that's
- 24:43Speaker 1: how I feel it with a lot of modern Hollywood
- 24:46Speaker 1: where it's like this computer is telling me, you know,
- 24:48Speaker 1: this is like this. Yeah, you're supposed to like.
- 24:51Speaker 2: This, right, you know, you like Katie Perry, so you
- 24:54Speaker 2: must like this.
- 24:55Speaker 1: Yeah. It wasn't like thor Love and Thunder, where it's
- 24:57Speaker 1: like some coke head you know this is funny, you know,
- 25:01Speaker 1: and I'm like, no, it ain't coked. You know.
- 25:05Speaker 2: Well, that's one cocad that will ever be on this show.
- 25:08Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 25:11Speaker 1: Them. There was probably a lot of coke on the
- 25:14Speaker 1: set of Going Love and Thunder, and I'm not opposed
- 25:18Speaker 1: to coke.
- 25:18Speaker 2: I plead the fifth Listen, We're out of here, We're
