Speaker 1: Christian if I struggle with doubt? Let me tell you something.

Speaker 1: Doubt is common. Doubt is a common experience for many believers,

Speaker 1: including myself. Amen. Hasn't been as much as it was before.

Speaker 1: But every now and then, doubt enters into my mind.

Speaker 1: Doubt enters into my heart when I see situations that

Speaker 1: I'm like, Wow, only God right, So doubt tries to

Speaker 1: knock on my door. Doubt will try to knock on

Speaker 1: your door. But we have someone that can meet doubt

Speaker 1: at that door. His name is Holy Spirit God, Amen,

Speaker 1: And it doesn't disqualify you from your relationship with God.

Speaker 1: Doubt does not disqualify you or me from our relationship

Speaker 1: with God. We're going to be in Hebrews chapter six

Speaker 1: our lives. Nothing, according to your word, nothing can separate

Speaker 1: any demon or any person or any deception can snatch

Speaker 1: us out of your hand. We are signed, sealed, and delivered,

Speaker 1: doing in this universe, in this world, that you have

Speaker 1: taken us out of our darkness and brought us into

Speaker 1: Hebrews Shot six, verse number eighteen. Consider this so that

Speaker 1: by two unchangeable things, his promise and his oath, in

Speaker 1: which it is impossible for God to lie. That's number one,

Speaker 1: we have fled to him for refuge, would have strong

Speaker 1: encouragement and in dwelling strength to hold tightly to the

Speaker 1: hope set before us. In other words, God is unchanging.

Speaker 1: His word doesn't change, he changes us. God does not change. Amen.

Speaker 1: His promises are always yes and amen. His promise is

Speaker 1: his oath. His promise is his word, Amen. And God's

Speaker 1: It's impossible for God to lie. So I know it's

Speaker 1: can do anything, and that's true, and then there's other

Speaker 1: God won't do. It's not that he can't do, he

Speaker 1: won't do. So let's say he can't lie, he can't die,

Speaker 1: he can't take back his promises. This truth to that right,

Speaker 1: God could do whatever he wants to do. But because

Speaker 1: he's sovereign, he's holy, he's righteous, he's just. It's impossible

Speaker 1: a promise that you're waiting for from God. It's not

Speaker 1: coming to pass the way you wanted to come to pass,

Speaker 1: or you've been waiting a long time. Listen, I understand

Speaker 1: what waiting for a promise is. Amen. I had a

Speaker 1: sixteen year wait before our daughter of Selah was born, Amen,

Speaker 1: and that was not easy. But we held on to

Speaker 1: the promise. Me and my wife held on to the

Speaker 1: promise of God because we know that we knew that

Speaker 1: his promise was his word. His word was his promise

Speaker 1: as old Amen, and it kept on the prophecy kept

Speaker 1: on coming up, so we kept on believing, kept on believing.

Speaker 1: So thank you Jesus that you didn't fail us, and

Speaker 1: he will never fail you. Never failed anybody. His win

Speaker 1: and lost record is like a gazillion wins, zero losses.

Speaker 1: He never lost the battle, never lost the fight. He

Speaker 1: never lost one of his children. Amen never. Two Timothy,

Speaker 1: Chapter two, verse thirteen. Scripture says, if we are faithless,

Speaker 1: he remains faithful, true to his word and his righteous character,

Speaker 1: for he cannot deny himself. Another scripture where it says

Speaker 1: God cannot do something, he won't do this. He won't

Speaker 1: do that because he is righteous, he's holy, he's faithful,

Speaker 1: he's true to his word. So when doubt tries to

Speaker 1: get into our hearts in our mind, listen to this.

Speaker 1: When doubt tries to answer into a heart of a

Speaker 1: child with God, we can remind ourselves that although we

Speaker 1: might not be faithful, he's always faithful, true and righteous

Speaker 1: to his word, true and righteous character. He cannot deny himself.

Speaker 1: He is the living Word, he is holy Spirit, he

Speaker 1: is Yahweh. He will not leave us, abandon us, or

Speaker 1: put us to shame. So doubt is something that's common

Speaker 1: for every believer. We struggle with doubt because we're humans

Speaker 1: and we don't see the end from the beginning, the

Speaker 1: beginning from the end. We are limited in our way

Speaker 1: of thinking. But God is limitless. His ways are not

Speaker 1: like always. Very important to remind ourselves that His ways

Speaker 1: are not like always. His thoughts are way above our

Speaker 1: thought process. Right, we see things like dimly through a glass. Right,

Speaker 1: he sees everything before it happens, while it happens. He

Speaker 1: knows what happens after it happens. A man, he's all knowing,

Speaker 1: eternal being. He does. He's not subject to any kind

Speaker 1: of limits. He sits outside of time. Amen, can go

Speaker 1: by our calendar, like some people think, you know that, oh,

Speaker 1: God's going to show up in this, you know, Monday,

Speaker 1: September whatever. Like people really think they can control God

Speaker 1: by way of calendars, by way of so called secrets

Speaker 1: that are in the scriptures codes, and that we could

Speaker 1: command God to do X y z amen. Even though

Speaker 1: there are scriptures that seem to me that say that

Speaker 1: we could command God. But I think we take that

Speaker 1: a little bit too far as believers, and we say

Speaker 1: we tell God what to do. And I don't think

Speaker 1: that's the case, Amen, So that'll be another discussion. I

Speaker 1: know people who are spiritual levels of maturity and their

Speaker 1: faith that take the scriptures that I was talking about.

Speaker 1: God men and listen. If I'm wrong, God will correct me.

Speaker 1: with doubt? Quick answer absolutely, absolutely, and listen, you can

Speaker 1: still be a Christian even if you struggle with doubt.

Speaker 1: Doubt is a common experience. I'm gonna say that slower slowly,

Speaker 1: doubt is a common experience. Don't ever think that you

Speaker 1: know your favorite preacher gospel rapper, evangelists, prophet, apostle, teacher,

Speaker 1: TV evangelists, whatever. Don't think for one instant that they

Speaker 1: have no doubts, or they never doubt it, or they

Speaker 1: never got visited without We all get visited with doubt.

Speaker 1: Doubt is common for many believers. Amen. I can't say all,

Speaker 1: because I don't know all believers, but many believers deal

Speaker 1: with doubt. And it doesn't disqualify you. It doesn't disqualify

Speaker 1: me of having a personal relationship with God. The New

Speaker 1: Testament is based on God's promise and faithfulness, his promises,

Speaker 1: His faithfulness, not based on my promise or your promise

Speaker 1: or your faithfulness. And you don't want your life to

Speaker 1: be based on when I promise you something. You want

Speaker 1: your life to be based on when God promises you something. Amen,

Speaker 1: It's not about our ability to maintain perfect faith. No.

Speaker 1: identity is not in what you see Your identity is

Speaker 1: not in what you hear. Your identity is not what's

Speaker 1: happening around you or what's even happening inside of you.

Speaker 1: In a fleshly realm, I should say, because we know

Speaker 1: for sure that the flesh does not inherit the Kingdom

Speaker 1: of God. The spirit right and the saved soul will

Speaker 1: go into Heaven, not the flesh. No flesh, no bone,

Speaker 1: none of that will get into the Kingdom of God.

Speaker 1: But it's important to remember that my identity and your

Speaker 1: identity is in Jesus Christ. That's why I always tell people, listen,

Speaker 1: if you're not saved, what you're waiting for, get into

Speaker 1: a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus for yourself. Today.

Speaker 1: Tomorrow's not promised, Today's the day of salvation. How do

Speaker 1: you do it? Well? The abc of doing that is,

Speaker 1: I admit that you're a sinner. Admit it. A lot

Speaker 1: of people say I don sin. Admit that you're a

Speaker 1: sinner and come out of that deception, come out of

Speaker 1: a lie, and ask Jesus to forgive you for those sins.

Speaker 1: Believe in His word over your life and over the

Speaker 1: believer's life right, and confess Jesus as your personal Lord

Speaker 1: and savior. Amen, the first thing you have to do

Speaker 1: is stop what you're doing. That's causing you to have doubt,

Speaker 1: that's causing you to have anxiety, that's causing you to fear,

Speaker 1: that's causing you to continue to sin, whatever it is.

Speaker 1: Stop at that moment, right wherever you are, stop and turn.

Speaker 1: That means repent. You're stopping and said, whoa, I'm not

Speaker 1: going any further in that direction because that direction is

Speaker 1: it to get me into more and more trouble, deeper

Speaker 1: levels of sin. I'm never going to come out of

Speaker 1: that if I continue going. And so you stop, turn

Speaker 1: from that and turn to the righteousness of the Lord.

Speaker 1: So get from your darkness and go to the light. Repent,

Speaker 1: then admit that your sinner asks Jesus to forgive you.

Speaker 1: The Bible says he will not turn anyone away who's

Speaker 1: asking him to forgive them if they come with a

Speaker 1: sincere the heart. Like if you're playing games, he say, okay, God,

Speaker 1: just forgive me. I want to do what Sam says,

Speaker 1: and let's see what happens. You know, you might be

Speaker 1: playing a game, and God doesn't play games. Amen, he's

Speaker 1: serious about your salvation. He's serious about my salvation. He's

Speaker 1: serious about transforming your life. He's serious about his love,

Speaker 1: his grace, his mercy, his word over your life. You

Speaker 1: can't outgrace God. You can't outthink God. You can't trick God,

Speaker 1: you can't deceive God. He's an all knowing, holy, righteous,

Speaker 1: loving God. Amen. So it's porant to remember who you

Speaker 1: are in Christ when doubt knocks on your door. Your

Speaker 1: relationship with God is not dependent, Thank you God. It's

Speaker 1: not dependent on the strength of your faith. It's not

Speaker 1: dependent on the strength of my faith. I'm strong in

Speaker 1: my faith, so therefore God is more real. It's not

Speaker 1: like that, but on the finished work of Jesus Christ.

Speaker 1: So it's not dependent. Like I know, a lot of

Speaker 1: people they look at Christians say, oh, you guys believe that.

Speaker 1: You know, you have to have a lot of faith

Speaker 1: right to believe that. We're like, yeah, we have faith

Speaker 1: in someone who proved himself, so all of the universe,

Speaker 1: who proved and moved himself into our lives, who transformed

Speaker 1: our lives, who renewed our mind, who renewed our hearts,

Speaker 1: we gave we got a fresh start. We're born again. Yes,

Speaker 1: we have faith in him. Not faith in a thing,

Speaker 1: not faith in a religion, not faith in faith. We

Speaker 1: have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Yes, we admit

Speaker 1: as believers that we do have faith, but we don't

Speaker 1: have faith in an altered reality another. All the mysterious

Speaker 1: things that people talk about, all universes and multiverses and all,

Speaker 1: we don't have faith in that. We don't have faith

Speaker 1: in the big bank theories, nothing creating everything. We have

Speaker 1: faith in the God creator, God who created everything we

Speaker 1: see in everything we don't see, and he revealed himself

Speaker 1: to us by way of Holy Spirit, by way of Jesus,

Speaker 1: to Christ by way of his word. And we have faith.

Speaker 1: And who God is in our lives, our identity is

Speaker 1: in Christ. So when doubt comes, and when people try

Speaker 1: to talk down to a believer and to a brother

Speaker 1: or sister in Christ, we're like, Okay, they are coming

Speaker 1: with doubt because they have no revelation of who God is.

Speaker 1: But we have our responsibility to preach the Gospel to

Speaker 1: whosoever will listen, whoever calls upon the limit of the Lord,

Speaker 1: the Bible says, will be saved, and then they'll get

Speaker 1: this reality. They'll get the revelation they'll be saved, they'll

Speaker 1: be born again, and they'll have a new identity found

Speaker 1: in Christ. So when they go through doubt, they could

Speaker 1: go back to their identity in Christ. We all have

Speaker 1: this amen. There's nobody with an excuse that could say, oh,

Speaker 1: I used to be a Christian. That right there is

Speaker 1: mind boggling to me. You used to be a what

Speaker 1: used to be a Christian? You might have been in

Speaker 1: some kind of religious tradition, or you might have been

Speaker 1: some kind of cults and some kind of group, or

Speaker 1: you weren't a Christian. Then you came out of being

Speaker 1: a Christian. The Bible speaks opposite of what that says.

Speaker 1: The Bible says, once you're born again, you're saved, you're

Speaker 1: born again. No one can take you or snatch you

Speaker 1: out of the hand of God. Holy Spirit lives inside

Speaker 1: of every single child of God. And the only one

Speaker 1: who could take his spirit out of us is He

Speaker 1: and him himself. No devil in hell, no deceiver on earth,

Speaker 1: no one, nothing, can take the spirit of God out

Speaker 1: So doubt tries to come in a form of whatever

Speaker 1: you know lack when there's something that's lacking in your life,

Speaker 1: doubt will show up. They're like cousins, Sin and doubt.

Speaker 1: They're like cousins. They're like, oh, he's doubting, So maybe

Speaker 1: struggle without? The quick answer is absolutely you can. You

Speaker 1: are a believer regardless right of when doubt comes or not.

Speaker 1: When you're born again, you're not disqualified because of doubt. Right,

Speaker 1: that's not going to disqualify you from having a personal

Speaker 1: relationship with God. If that was so, listen, out of

Speaker 1: who God was before I was saved, I doubted that

Speaker 1: there was any God before I got saved. Think about it,

Speaker 1: you probably doubted God too. You probably didn't. You probably

Speaker 1: were an atheist, an agnostic, or skeptic, just like I was.

Speaker 1: I wasn't too much of an atheist ours what they

Speaker 1: call agnostic, right. I knew there was a higher power,

Speaker 1: just tend to know, you know, who he was or

Speaker 1: if he could transform my life or change my life

Speaker 1: until that day came when I called on God and

Speaker 1: he changed my life. Then ever since then, I was like, Oh,

Speaker 1: I'm totally one hundred percent convinced he changed me. That

Speaker 1: means he could change anybody. So in your moments of doubt,

Speaker 1: and they will come. I mean, I pray it never

Speaker 1: hits your life. Amen. I could pray that, and I

Speaker 1: could trust and believe that doubt won't overcome us, won't

Speaker 1: overcome me, won't overcome you. But in moments of doubt,

Speaker 1: it's helpful to focus on the truth of God's love

Speaker 1: and rumors of wars, and the diseases, the illnesses, the viruses,

Speaker 1: the deficit, all that's happening. If you watch and you watch,

Speaker 1: and you watch that and you're not careful, you're gonna

Speaker 1: be like, oh man, this is not going to work,

Speaker 1: you know, And somehow you'll start speaking things that cause

Speaker 1: you to doubt. And when we speak things that cause

Speaker 1: us to doubt, we'll speak it out and cause other

Speaker 1: people to doubt. Doubt can be contagious, so we have

Speaker 1: to be careful with what we say a man concerning doubt. Doubt,

Speaker 1: We're disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ right, So be

Speaker 1: careful with doubt Romans eight thirty eight. We know that

Speaker 1: of God. We're going to trust and its promises and

Speaker 1: allow Holy Spirit to guide and strengthen us as we

Speaker 1: I think in the hospitals, there's a lot of doubt

Speaker 1: when you go and visit a sick person and the

Speaker 1: doctors are telling you this, and the nurses are telling

Speaker 1: a story and the scriptures where Jesus showed up in

Speaker 1: a situation. I think when there was a child that

Speaker 1: was dying or dead. He literally kind of like told

Speaker 1: the doubters in the room to kind of like remove

Speaker 1: themselves from the room because there was no place for

Speaker 1: doubt at that point. There was only a place for faith.

Speaker 1: Sometimes you gotta be, you know, a nice you gotta

Speaker 1: be nice about it. But when you're a situation of

Speaker 1: a family member or maybe yourself and you're suffering in

Speaker 1: your health and it's a life threatening situation, you might

Speaker 1: And the naysayers and the people who don't believe, they're

Speaker 1: not going to help out anyway, so you could kind

Speaker 1: I was in a situation where a man of God

Speaker 1: that used to be on Radar Network years ago. He's

Speaker 1: with the Lord now and his partner that used to

Speaker 1: be with him on the radio show called Equipping the Saints.

Speaker 1: He was dying of I think it was stomach cancer

Speaker 1: and he was in a local hospital. And when I

Speaker 1: got there to go see him and pray for him, Amen,

Speaker 1: he literally looked at his family A true story and

Speaker 1: told everybody to get out the room. And that put

Speaker 1: me in an awkward position. They looked at me and

Speaker 1: they're like, who is this guy? And when they all

Speaker 1: left on his requests, not because of anything I did.

Speaker 1: I said, hey, why'd you do that? He said, I

Speaker 1: just want to let you know I apologize for x

Speaker 1: y Z. I repented from this, that and the third,

Speaker 1: and I said, what do you want to do? And

Speaker 1: without any doubt in his situation, he was in pain,

Speaker 1: he was in his death bed, without any doubt. Sat,

Speaker 1: I want to live so I could praise God and

Speaker 1: preach the gospel and get more souls saved. He didn't

Speaker 1: have any doubt. Did God take him? Yes, but he

Speaker 1: taught me a lesson. And his worst situation and his

Speaker 1: worst point of his life, he still didn't let doubt overcome.

Speaker 1: He's still trusted and believed in the promises of God

Speaker 1: over his life. And now he's walking in total victory
