- 0:00Speaker 1: Yeah, this is Mark Simon Show on.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Seven to ten. WoT Well, things are shifting in the
- 0:10Speaker 2: mayoral race. We'll get to that. We'll get to the
- 0:12Speaker 2: President's trip. He meets with President She tonight late tonight.
- 0:17Speaker 2: We'll get to the shutdown. We'll get to the World Series.
- 0:20Speaker 2: We'll get to twenty twenty eight. We'll get to the
- 0:22Speaker 2: ballroom and a whole lot more coming up. There's people
- 0:27Speaker 2: that watch this stuff carefully are seeing a shift in
- 0:30Speaker 2: the mayoral race. More people are moving towards Cuomo. Curtis
- 0:35Speaker 2: who we love. He'd be He's the best candidate of
- 0:37Speaker 2: the bunch, he'd be the best mayor of the bunch.
- 0:39Speaker 2: But there are voters shifting from him to Cuomo, despite
- 0:44Speaker 2: the fact that they hate Cuomo. They were horrified by
- 0:47Speaker 2: Cuomo's performance in office as governor, but they're just so
- 0:53Speaker 2: terrified of him Donnie City Hall, that they're more and
- 0:57Speaker 2: more people are shifting to Cuomo. So we don't know
- 0:59Speaker 2: if it's too little, too late. He's still way behind
- 1:02Speaker 2: in all the polling, but but there is a shift,
- 1:07Speaker 2: and there is some data showing the race really tightening.
- 1:11Speaker 2: The big big donors are always the worst in any campaign.
- 1:15Speaker 2: Because at first they always back the wrong guy. They're
- 1:18Speaker 2: never great at helping. They do more damage than good,
- 1:21Speaker 2: these big, big money donors. But one of the problems
- 1:25Speaker 2: is to get mom Donnie out of this, to take
- 1:28Speaker 2: him out of competition. This had to start about a
- 1:30Speaker 2: month and a half ago. As John McLaughlin, the Great Polster,
- 1:34Speaker 2: explained to us, you gotta drive his negatives up. You
- 1:37Speaker 2: got to get his negatives up into the fifties. And
- 1:40Speaker 2: the way you do that is massive negative ads against him.
- 1:45Speaker 2: Bombard everybody with these ads showing you things he said
- 1:47Speaker 2: in the past, all that stuff. Well, that's where the
- 1:50Speaker 2: big donors have to spend the money. The big super
- 1:53Speaker 2: PACs have to run those ads. Well, they didn't this time.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Where have they been This is one of the few
- 1:58Speaker 2: campaigns where they haven't been there. You haven't seen those
- 2:00Speaker 2: kind of negative ads. It's because the big donors were
- 2:03Speaker 2: terrified of Mamdanie winning and then not being able to
- 2:07Speaker 2: have any kind of relationship with him because you can
- 2:09Speaker 2: always tell who donated the money, So out of fear,
- 2:12Speaker 2: they didn't do it. Now it looks like they may
- 2:14Speaker 2: start doing it. It's a little late. About thirty five
- 2:17Speaker 2: percent of the vote is already in because of that
- 2:20Speaker 2: early voting, so it's a little late, but they're going
- 2:24Speaker 2: to start running some negative stuff. You got this weekend
- 2:27Speaker 2: to do it, and then early voting stops. I think Monday.
- 2:31Speaker 2: I think there's no early voting the day before the election.
- 2:33Speaker 2: But then Tuesday's election day. You'll probably get half the
- 2:37Speaker 2: votes on Tuesday. So, but Cuomo has been picking up
- 2:41Speaker 2: a little steam and he's been picking up endorsements. David
- 2:45Speaker 2: Patterson endorsed him, But then David Patterson has endorsed everybody
- 2:49Speaker 2: in the race. He's endorsed Adams. If Curtiss is saying,
- 2:53Speaker 2: don't endorse me, it's the kiss of death. Eric Adams
- 2:56Speaker 2: is endorsed Cuoma. They were campaigning together.
- 2:59Speaker 3: Here they are yesterday, here Adams, Governor Patterson, myself.
- 3:03Speaker 2: We are Democrats.
- 3:04Speaker 4: We've always been Democrats, we will always be Democrats, and
- 3:08Speaker 4: we believe in the democratic values.
- 3:12Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:12Speaker 2: Now, the only problem is that he keeps, you know,
- 3:14Speaker 2: making that point, I'm the real I'm the actual Democrat. Well,
- 3:17Speaker 2: he was in the Democratic primary and Democrats rejected him.
- 3:20Speaker 2: Democrats voted against him. He's running now on a third party.
- 3:23Speaker 2: He's not the Democratic nominee, but Adams appeared with him yesterday.
- 3:27Speaker 5: We don't need a socialist masquer rating as a democrat.
- 3:31Speaker 3: No one's going to get a free ride, no matter
- 3:33Speaker 3: what some people are promising. But there is a great
- 3:37Speaker 3: opportunity for this city if we elect this gentleman right
- 3:42Speaker 3: now next Tuesday.
- 3:44Speaker 2: Now that's the Adams and David Patterson together. So here's
- 3:47Speaker 2: the problem. Everybody hates Cuomo. They thought he was he's
- 3:50Speaker 2: a nice guy in real life, but they just thought
- 3:52Speaker 2: he was the worst governor. He caused the crime wave,
- 3:55Speaker 2: the no bail, no jail, the closing the prisons, letting
- 3:58Speaker 2: all the prisoners out, the taking away the qualified immunity
- 4:01Speaker 2: from cops was a horrible thing to do. Cops could
- 4:05Speaker 2: get sued if they went near anybody, so they had
- 4:08Speaker 2: to be very restrained. I mean, he did so many things.
- 4:12Speaker 2: He totally mismanaged the pandemic. He tried to ban the vaccine.
- 4:15Speaker 2: At one point he blocked Ice and threatened to sue him.
- 4:19Speaker 2: He closed Indian Point that drove up that was twenty
- 4:22Speaker 2: five percent of our power, drove up our electric costs.
- 4:26Speaker 2: He picked Kathy Hockle. He's the reason we're stuck with
- 4:28Speaker 2: Kathy Ogle. He gave us the congestion pricing. He's the
- 4:31Speaker 2: one that pushed that through. So he was just terrible
- 4:34Speaker 2: as governor. But many just think Madamie could actually be worse. Obviously,
- 4:40Speaker 2: they're worried most about public safety. But remember it was
- 4:42Speaker 2: Cuomo that gave us the no bail no jail. That
- 4:45Speaker 2: one move single handedly caused the crime wave. He's the
- 4:48Speaker 2: one that pushed it like crazy. But people just think
- 4:52Speaker 2: could be safer with him than Mom Donnie. He's probably
- 4:55Speaker 2: probably correct, but even here's Michael Goodwin today, the great
- 4:57Speaker 2: columnists in the New York Post, and he writes, if
- 5:01Speaker 2: anyone had dared to tell me I would actually vote
- 5:04Speaker 2: for Andrew Cuomo again, I would have shot back. Never.
- 5:09Speaker 2: I was thoroughly disgusted with the former governor, applauded his
- 5:13Speaker 2: forced exit from Albany, and saw no evidence he was
- 5:16Speaker 2: doing anything to make himself fit to hold public office again.
- 5:21Speaker 2: In the three plus years since his resignation, he's continued
- 5:25Speaker 2: to play defense attack as critics, including me Goodwin, but
- 5:29Speaker 2: had done nothing to demonstrate he learned anything or accepted
- 5:33Speaker 2: any responsibility for his historic collapse. There were no apologies
- 5:38Speaker 2: for the heartless nursing home tobaccle. He caused there was
- 5:42Speaker 2: no remorse that he was guilty of sexually harassing thirteen
- 5:46Speaker 2: women accused of harassing them. He never said so directly,
- 5:53Speaker 2: but he seemed to believe if he got back into
- 5:54Speaker 2: politics enough, voters enamored with the Cuomo name would give
- 5:59Speaker 2: him a second chance ants, even if he didn't show
- 6:02Speaker 2: them why he deserved it. Well, that was the problem.
- 6:06Speaker 2: In the primary. He thought just the Cuomo name, the
- 6:10Speaker 2: name recognition, whatever, it would help him. But he got
- 6:12Speaker 2: wiped out in both debates in the primary. He got
- 6:15Speaker 2: wiped out in the popular vote in the primary. But
- 6:19Speaker 2: Goodwin says, as horrible as he thinks Cuomo is, he'll
- 6:22Speaker 2: vote for him just to stop mom Donnie. So you're
- 6:25Speaker 2: getting more and more of that. By the way, every
- 6:28Speaker 2: piece of polling these are all kind of junk polls,
- 6:31Speaker 2: a dozen of them that are out there, but every
- 6:33Speaker 2: single one shows that Curtis got out of the race,
- 6:36Speaker 2: Cuomo still would be behind, So it's not about Curtis.
- 6:41Speaker 2: And the most detailed polling shows if Curtis left, thirty
- 6:46Speaker 2: six percent of his vote would go to Cuomo, giving
- 6:49Speaker 2: Cuomo an extra four percent, so if he spot behind
- 6:52Speaker 2: ten percent, then he'd be behind six percent. Still not
- 6:55Speaker 2: enough to win. The idea that if Curtis dropped out,
- 6:58Speaker 2: all those votes would go to Cuomo is crazy. It's
- 7:01Speaker 2: like saying if the Yankees lose in the playoffs and
- 7:05Speaker 2: don't make the World Series, all the Yankee fans will
- 7:07Speaker 2: then go with the Red Sox. It doesn't work that way.
- 7:10Speaker 2: May be some of them just because they like the
- 7:13Speaker 2: American League, would cheer for the Red Sox, but most
- 7:15Speaker 2: of the Yankee fans would not suddenly go to the
- 7:17Speaker 2: Red Sox. Same thing with Curtis. Curtis is not getting
- 7:21Speaker 2: out of the race, no reason why he should. If
- 7:23Speaker 2: Cuomo wants to win this, he's got to win those votes.
- 7:26Speaker 2: You can't just force Sliwa out. Cuomo has to legitimately
- 7:30Speaker 2: try to win those voters away. Well, it looks like
- 7:33Speaker 2: there is some movement like that. He is picking up
- 7:36Speaker 2: a little steam. We'll see if he can do it
- 7:40Speaker 2: enough to close the gap. The race is tighter than
- 7:42Speaker 2: the people think. Mamdani is on course to win. Now, Well,
- 7:48Speaker 2: here's what's interesting. If you try to argue with people
- 7:52Speaker 2: about policies that he supports, In the polling, the majority
- 7:57Speaker 2: of residents don't agree with his policies. This is the
- 8:03Speaker 2: fascinating part. They just like him. The poll found that
- 8:06Speaker 2: New Yorkers favor harsher penalties for fair evasion. They're not
- 8:10Speaker 2: looking for free bus fare. They don't like the bail
- 8:14Speaker 2: reform law. Sixty eight percent don't want the free buses.
- 8:19Speaker 2: They thought it would turn them into homeless shelters. He
- 8:22Speaker 2: can go on and on. They're not in favor of
- 8:23Speaker 2: his crime policies, but despite all that, they were still
- 8:26Speaker 2: for him. Now, Mam, Donnie's got all these horrible comments
- 8:30Speaker 2: in the past, you know, they keep coming up. He said,
- 8:33Speaker 2: the NYPD had their boots on your neck. Is let
- 8:38Speaker 2: me say, I think I have it here somewhere. Maybe
- 8:41Speaker 2: maybe this is it. This is from a few years ago.
- 8:43Speaker 6: We have to make clear when.
- 8:50Speaker 1: It's idees. Yeah.
- 8:52Speaker 2: So he said, when the NYPD boot is on your neck,
- 8:55Speaker 2: it's been laced by the IDF. So that's real, mom, Donnie.
- 8:58Speaker 2: There he takes a terrible shot of the police and
- 9:01Speaker 2: puts in some anti Semitic, anti Israel nonsense into the
- 9:05Speaker 2: same sentence. So that's what you're dealing with. Uh, here's Curtis, but.
- 9:10Speaker 5: He just shows that hate that he has vote for
- 9:13Speaker 5: the idea and the hate that he has for the NYPD.
- 9:17Speaker 2: Yeah, so all of this is just horrible. But again
- 9:19Speaker 2: we are seeing a shift of voters who don't like Cuomo.
- 9:24Speaker 2: They hate Clomo, they thought he was a terrible governor.
- 9:26Speaker 2: But there is some movement, some shift over to voting
- 9:29Speaker 2: for Cuomo. We'll see if it's enough. A lot of
- 9:33Speaker 2: people are really upset with Kathy Hokele. Now, if Mom
- 9:35Speaker 2: Donnie were to win and be a terrible mayor, that
- 9:38Speaker 2: would be the end of Kathy Hokeel. Anybody running against
- 9:41Speaker 2: her would just run the clips of her supporting Mom
- 9:43Speaker 2: Donnie and stickiness with this stuff. She could actually remove
- 9:47Speaker 2: him as mayor, which she won't have the nerve to do.
- 9:50Speaker 2: So that's another reason she'll get voted out of office.
- 9:53Speaker 2: She just panders to him in his socialist crowd. She
- 9:57Speaker 2: was at she appeared at the Mom Donnie rally, and
- 9:59Speaker 2: again she'll never be able to explain that away. What
- 10:02Speaker 2: were you doing at a Mom Donnie rally? Speaking on
- 10:04Speaker 2: his behalf, holding hands with him at the rally? She
- 10:07Speaker 2: got booed there. By the way, even the far left
- 10:10Speaker 2: hates her. She was booed. She said, she's not the
- 10:16Speaker 2: brightest woman in the world. They were booing her like crazy,
- 10:20Speaker 2: and she said, I thought they were saying, let's go bills. Now,
- 10:24Speaker 2: if you're going to think of an excuse, that's why
- 10:26Speaker 2: would this was in Forest Hill stadiums. Why would people
- 10:29Speaker 2: in New York City not say let's go giants jets.
- 10:31Speaker 2: Nobody in New York City cares about the bills. So
- 10:34Speaker 2: just looked awful for her. Now, what if Mom Donnie win?
- 10:37Speaker 2: Is there any way to stop him? If he wins? Yes,
- 10:40Speaker 2: if they found out he took foreign money, knowingly took
- 10:44Speaker 2: foreign money into his campaign, they can remove him from
- 10:47Speaker 2: being mayor. That would be the end of it. Now,
- 10:50Speaker 2: there are several groups that have been working on this,
- 10:53Speaker 2: this one called the Coolidge Reagan Foundation. They have now
- 10:57Speaker 2: filed two criminal referrals with the Justice Department. They've uncovered
- 11:03Speaker 2: thirteen thousand and foreign money from one hundred and seventy
- 11:06Speaker 2: donors that went to Mom Donnie. No, it's not quite
- 11:09Speaker 2: that simple. You've got to prove that he knew about it,
- 11:12Speaker 2: but it's enough to file a criminal referral, have a
- 11:15Speaker 2: criminal investigation there's another one hundred and seventy incidents that's
- 11:19Speaker 2: not isolated. That's a lot of incidents. The mam Donnie
- 11:22Speaker 2: campaigns ad thirty one of the one hundred and seventy
- 11:25Speaker 2: one donors proved their citizenship. Well, he's still got one
- 11:29Speaker 2: hundred and forty left that didn't. The criminal referral is
- 11:33Speaker 2: with the Assistant Attorney General right now, so he'll be
- 11:37Speaker 2: looking at that. Fox News Digital did an investigation. They
- 11:40Speaker 2: uncovered thirteen thousand from donors with foreign addresses, including one
- 11:45Speaker 2: five hundred dollars donation from his mother in law in Dubai,
- 11:49Speaker 2: not an American citizen. Mam Donnie says he returned the contribution,
- 11:55Speaker 2: but as of October fourteenth, filing still show ninety one
- 11:58Speaker 2: foreign donations had been refunded. But that leaves that leaves
- 12:02Speaker 2: about sixty of them still out there, so it's possible
- 12:05Speaker 2: they could take them out with that. Also, any victory
- 12:10Speaker 2: of Mandami's would he'd be a terrible mayor. It would
- 12:14Speaker 2: just kill the Democrats right now. Democratic brand is in
- 12:19Speaker 2: real trouble. If he went back to ten years ago
- 12:22Speaker 2: and took a real poll, not a serious poll, fifty
- 12:27Speaker 2: percent of voters view the Democratic Party is out of touch.
- 12:30Speaker 2: Half okay, that makes sense, but it's now up to
- 12:33Speaker 2: seventy percent. The majority of the country thinks the Democratic
- 12:36Speaker 2: Party is totally completely out of touch. So we'll see
- 12:41Speaker 2: what happens as the early voting continues. Now, if we
- 12:47Speaker 2: get about a million votes, a million one, a million two,
- 12:50Speaker 2: which is low twenty thirty percent turnout, it looks like
- 12:54Speaker 2: it could head to two million. You could get sixty
- 12:57Speaker 2: percent seventy percent turnout. The voting gets to two million,
- 13:01Speaker 2: that probably could give you a Cuomo victory. Probably it
- 13:06Speaker 2: has to get to about two million, but it looks
- 13:08Speaker 2: like it could be headed there. So there's all these endorsements. Now,
- 13:11Speaker 2: Michael Goodwin says he hates Cuomo as much as it,
- 13:14Speaker 2: but he's going to vote for him. Here you got
- 13:17Speaker 2: a woman who this kind of went viral online. She says,
- 13:23Speaker 2: Cuomo murdered my husband. I think she's referring to the
- 13:26Speaker 2: nursing homes. Cuomo murdered my husband, But I'm still going
- 13:31Speaker 2: to vote for him. So you're getting a lot of that.
- 13:32Speaker 2: So there is a shift going on right now. Now
- 13:36Speaker 2: in New Jersey, it's very very very tight. Nobody can
- 13:39Speaker 2: tell what's going to happen. Now, these endorsements don't mean
- 13:42Speaker 2: much of anything. You know, when Cuomo announces, oh, the
- 13:45Speaker 2: Electricians Union endorsed me. They're nice people, but I don't
- 13:49Speaker 2: think anybody when they want to know who to vote for,
- 13:52Speaker 2: asks they're Electrician. It doesn't mean anything. Even the big
- 13:56Speaker 2: name the newspaper endorsements generally mean nothing to Rally's trying
- 14:00Speaker 2: to get endorsements. He's got a Trump. Trump's not going
- 14:03Speaker 2: to come to New Jersey, but it's gonna be some
- 14:05Speaker 2: sort of video endorsement. Mikey Cheryl brought in Obama to
- 14:10Speaker 2: give an endorsement. Here's the latest Chittarelli endorsement. Kelsey Grammar, Hi,
- 14:14Speaker 2: Kelsey Grammar. Here, you already know that I'm from New Jersey. No,
- 14:18Speaker 2: wait to stop it. Did you know he's from New Jersey?
- 14:21Speaker 2: I never know he's from New Jersey. Is there anything
- 14:24Speaker 2: about him that suggests he's from New Jersey?
- 14:26Speaker 7: No, why I'm talking to you right now. There's a
- 14:29Speaker 7: lot of famous folks who grew up in Jersey. But
- 14:32Speaker 7: some of them seem content to let you guys go
- 14:34Speaker 7: on living on a prayer. Others have just forgotten that
- 14:37Speaker 7: you were born in the USA too. But once Jack wins,
- 14:41Speaker 7: and I think he's got a good chance of winning,
- 14:43Speaker 7: it's gonna make it a lot easier to just shake
- 14:46Speaker 7: it off.
- 14:49Speaker 2: I don't know. That's not a very good not a
- 14:52Speaker 2: good commercial. I don't know.
- 14:54Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 14:54Speaker 2: It's like just picture him and Niles in the in
- 14:57Speaker 2: the little cafe, they're talking. No, no, not a powerful endorsement. Anyway,
- 15:02Speaker 2: We'll see what happens. We'll get back to the mayor
- 15:03Speaker 2: all race. We'll get back to that. The President is
- 15:06Speaker 2: continuing the trip. You'll read that he's going to meet
- 15:10Speaker 2: with President She Thursday morning, but with the massive time difference,
- 15:15Speaker 2: Thursday morning is late tonight, so it'll be late tonight
- 15:18Speaker 2: that he meets with She. So far, it's been a
- 15:20Speaker 2: very very successful trip. Lots of agreements, lots of deals
- 15:23Speaker 2: have been signed, great for the United States, and so
- 15:26Speaker 2: they call deliverables. He's gotten a lot of different deliverables
- 15:29Speaker 2: on this trip. We'll get to the shutdown coming up.
- 15:32Speaker 2: Chuck Schumer says, this is outrageous. It's outrageous, this is horrifying.
- 15:37Speaker 2: Forty two million people on foodstamps might not get their benefits,
- 15:43Speaker 2: but most people on to hear this. Go wait a minute,
- 15:45Speaker 2: forty two million people are on food stamps. Why weren't
- 15:48Speaker 2: you outraged about that? You should have been screaming for
- 15:51Speaker 2: years that forty two million people are on food stamps.
- 15:54Speaker 2: That's not right. Somebody that did just a sign of
- 15:57Speaker 2: his failed leadership. Anyway, we'll get back to all of
- 15:59Speaker 2: this coming up. We'll take some calls next. Eight hundred
- 16:02Speaker 2: three to two one zero seven ten. Is the number
- 16:05Speaker 2: eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 16:09Speaker 1: You're listening to the Mark Simone Show.
- 16:15Speaker 2: Hey, let's take some calls. Let's go to Mike and
- 16:18Speaker 2: Long Island. Mike, how you doing?
- 16:21Speaker 1: Hey, Mark, good morning, Good morning, Mark.
- 16:23Speaker 8: I got a question to you.
- 16:25Speaker 9: In this city, we probably have fifty percent.
- 16:27Speaker 8: I don't know what the numbers are of voters that
- 16:29Speaker 8: are completely uneducated. Don't follow what city you're talking about,
- 16:34Speaker 8: New York City.
- 16:35Speaker 2: Well you're not in New York City.
- 16:37Speaker 8: Okay, but it's even though the.
- 16:39Speaker 2: Rest we wait, you can't, you're just making up statistics
- 16:42Speaker 2: fifty percent or not on? He can't just make up
- 16:45Speaker 2: don't you can't just make up stuff like that. Let's
- 16:47Speaker 2: go to Jerry in New Jersey. Jerry, how you doing good?
- 16:52Speaker 8: Mark?
- 16:52Speaker 10: How are you?
- 16:53Speaker 2: Let me check you're good. They don't really care. They
- 16:56Speaker 2: just say how you're doing, but they don't like the answer. Yes,
- 16:59Speaker 2: go ahead, Yeah, let's go ahead.
- 17:00Speaker 10: You believe that Andrew Clomo really wants to be mayor
- 17:05Speaker 10: after being CEO. I think they're dusting him off to
- 17:10Speaker 10: see if he can run against AOC and take Schumor's
- 17:13Speaker 10: seat in the Senate.
- 17:15Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a good point. Yeah, No, obviously when your governor,
- 17:18Speaker 2: mayor is a big step down. Although it's more fun
- 17:22Speaker 2: to be mayor. Actually, nobody wants to go to Albany mayor.
- 17:27Speaker 2: You're in city Hall, you liveing in Gracie mansion. It's
- 17:29Speaker 2: nicer than the governor's mansion, better located. But you're right,
- 17:33Speaker 2: you're right. He's plotting his whole life. He's been plotting
- 17:35Speaker 2: to be president.
- 17:37Speaker 10: Did you see him with Stephonicus governor after she said
- 17:40Speaker 10: you'll never serve again.
- 17:44Speaker 2: That's a good point. Yeah, that's the problem with Coloma.
- 17:46Speaker 2: You don't you never know what he's really up to.
- 17:48Speaker 2: But the argument is, Mom, Donnie is so horrible, so horrible,
- 17:55Speaker 2: you'd vote for him. It's say, this is like the
- 17:57Speaker 2: worst mess New York has ever gotten into. And you
- 18:00Speaker 2: Democrats got us into this with your primary there without
- 18:05Speaker 2: anybody you'd want to vote for. It was Mom, Donnie
- 18:08Speaker 2: and then the lowest worst people in the world, the
- 18:11Speaker 2: brad Lander types and the worst people have you ever seen?
- 18:15Speaker 2: In the primary in Cuomo couldn't even beat them. He
- 18:17Speaker 2: got wiped out in his own primary. But we'll see.
- 18:20Speaker 2: We got six days left until the election. Let's go
- 18:22Speaker 2: to Rich in Myrtle Beach. Rich How you doing, Hey?
- 18:25Speaker 8: Thanks?
- 18:26Speaker 9: Mark.
- 18:26Speaker 1: A couple of things. Any connection the fact that us
- 18:29Speaker 1: AID got defunded.
- 18:30Speaker 8: Now the Democrats are broke and they're all screaming at
- 18:32Speaker 8: they will need money. That's pretty coincidental.
- 18:34Speaker 2: Up, Yeah, that could be that us AID was basically
- 18:40Speaker 2: just a slush fund. It was to bribe people all
- 18:42Speaker 2: over the place, and a lot of Democrats profited off.
- 18:45Speaker 2: If this shutdown is not going well for Democrats Republicans,
- 18:50Speaker 2: their messaging is very good on this. The problem is
- 18:54Speaker 2: Trump controls the White House, so he makes the shutdown
- 18:58Speaker 2: is not painful. Remember when Obama was president and he
- 19:03Speaker 2: did the shutdown, he tried to make it deliberately as
- 19:06Speaker 2: painful as possibly closed everything, even though he didn't have to.
- 19:10Speaker 2: They closed monuments World War Two monuments that didn't require
- 19:14Speaker 2: any staffing. There was no reason to close him. He
- 19:17Speaker 2: just wanted to make it look painful, so he had
- 19:20Speaker 2: them closed and the yellow police tape was put all
- 19:23Speaker 2: around him and they were closed up just so. Eeverywhere
- 19:25Speaker 2: it looked was a symbol of closure, even though there
- 19:27Speaker 2: was no reason to close those things. Let's go to
- 19:29Speaker 2: David and Passaic. David, how you.
- 19:31Speaker 4: Doing, good morning.
- 19:33Speaker 11: I want to reminisce what will happened on the Montdani
- 19:37Speaker 11: In the late seventies. Property valleys went down, taxes went up,
- 19:42Speaker 11: There was a lot of fires in the South. Bronx
- 19:44Speaker 11: had gangs, even have Gerald Ford told New York City
- 19:49Speaker 11: dropped dead, remember that.
- 19:51Speaker 2: Yeah, that was more mid seventies. That was under a
- 19:54Speaker 2: beam and.
- 19:55Speaker 11: A beam right in. The Financial Review Board took over
- 19:59Speaker 11: and the city was bankrupt. Garbage was all over the streets.
- 20:02Speaker 2: Yeah, no way. Which party was that? Oh yeah it
- 20:06Speaker 2: was Democrats there. Once again they don't do good at
- 20:09Speaker 2: running the cities.
- 20:10Speaker 11: You know who got to start the court sleeve in
- 20:13Speaker 11: the subways. That's when he started the angels.
- 20:16Speaker 1: Angels.
- 20:17Speaker 2: Yeah, back then there was quite a year. There's a
- 20:19Speaker 2: big mini series about nineteen seventy seven. It was an
- 20:22Speaker 2: incredible year. You're right. It was fires and crime, and
- 20:26Speaker 2: it was the sun of sam summer, and it was
- 20:29Speaker 2: the Yankees and Reggie. It was quite that. It's somewhere online.
- 20:33Speaker 2: You can find that nineteen seventy seven. It's a documentary series.
- 20:36Speaker 2: But it is fascinating to watch. Go back and watch
- 20:40Speaker 2: it if you can. I guess how bad could mom
- 20:44Speaker 2: Downy be? Probably? Well, remember we went through this with
- 20:47Speaker 2: the Blasio who was it didn't declare himself as socialist,
- 20:51Speaker 2: but he was pretty much a socialist. Anyway, let's take
- 20:54Speaker 2: some calls. Let's go to line too. You're on the air.
- 20:56Speaker 2: How you doing? Oh good?
- 21:02Speaker 12: It's rub from anybody who believes that nine to eleven
- 21:06Speaker 12: was about Islamophobia should never be Mayor of New York.
- 21:11Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 21:12Speaker 2: Well, it's like he's like the Muslim house Sharpton. I
- 21:15Speaker 2: guess you know, Sharpton always plays the race card even
- 21:18Speaker 2: when it doesn't apply, and he's playing that Islamophobia card
- 21:22Speaker 2: when it doesn't apply. There's not this has never been
- 21:24Speaker 2: a problem in New York City. New York City is
- 21:27Speaker 2: a Muslim city. It's eleven percent Muslim. The Jewish population
- 21:31Speaker 2: is only eleven percent. You get the same number with
- 21:34Speaker 2: Muslims eleven percent. And if you talk to the NYPD
- 21:38Speaker 2: and look over all the data, there's not an a
- 21:41Speaker 2: tax on Muslims. It's not happening. Attacks on Jews, yes, yes,
- 21:45Speaker 2: in great numbers. Anti Semitic attacks by the thousands for
- 21:49Speaker 2: the last couple of years. You've seen them all over
- 21:51Speaker 2: the news. And if you look through NYPD data, it's
- 21:55Speaker 2: tons of anti Semitic attacks, anti Muslim attacks. You will
- 21:58Speaker 2: not find any in the city. It really doesn't happen. Obviously,
- 22:02Speaker 2: it was something people thought about right after nine to eleven,
- 22:05Speaker 2: but it didn't result in much of anything. Hey, when
- 22:08Speaker 2: we come back, Roger Friedman, the Great entertainment reporter, he'll
- 22:12Speaker 2: be with us. Next we'll get back to the mayoral race. Hey,
- 22:14Speaker 2: we'll talk to Bruce Blakeman later. He's got a lot
- 22:16Speaker 2: to say about mom Donnie. He's also the guy you
- 22:19Speaker 2: should vote for Nassau County best county Executive in America.
- 22:23Speaker 2: But all of that's coming up on seven to ten.
- 22:25Speaker 2: Woor The Mark Simon Show.
- 22:28Speaker 13: On sevent ten, woor.
- 22:32Speaker 2: Well Roger Friedman is the great entertainment reporter. He has
- 22:36Speaker 2: a website you should check every day. There's always news stories,
- 22:39Speaker 2: showbiz for one one dot com, showbizfo one one dot com.
- 22:43Speaker 2: Roger Friedman, how you doing.
- 22:45Speaker 13: I'm really doing great because once mom Donnie is mayor
- 22:50Speaker 13: all tickets to Broadway shows will be free and all
- 22:54Speaker 13: the restaurants around them we'll be serving free.
- 22:56Speaker 2: Food and empty at the same time. But hey, yeah,
- 23:00Speaker 2: speaking of Broadway, everything is settled, right They had all
- 23:02Speaker 2: these strike threats, that's all settled now.
- 23:04Speaker 13: All the strikes have been settled, which was very smart
- 23:07Speaker 13: because it's a turkey time on Broadway. The last thing
- 23:11Speaker 13: anyone needed was a strike. And things are back to
- 23:14Speaker 13: normal and Broadway is booming right now. Actually, you know,
- 23:19Speaker 13: Hamilton is doing incredible business. The last week get to
- 23:24Speaker 13: three point four million dollars, which is insane, and it's
- 23:29Speaker 13: been doing that right along since they brought back their
- 23:33Speaker 13: Tony winning star Leslie Odam Jr.
- 23:36Speaker 1: For a run.
- 23:37Speaker 13: That's I guess going through the winter January maybe, and
- 23:42Speaker 13: people will pay anything to get into the show. They're
- 23:45Speaker 13: premium tickets for fifteen hundred dollars and they're all sold out.
- 23:49Speaker 13: People will pay absolutely anything to get in there. And
- 23:54Speaker 13: other shows are doing great. There's a new show called
- 23:56Speaker 13: Queen of Versailles with Kristin Chenowith that's also doing great business.
- 24:04Speaker 2: What is Queen ever size about that woman with the
- 24:06Speaker 2: House in Florida?
- 24:06Speaker 13: Yes, it's about the woman with the house in Florida.
- 24:10Speaker 13: And yeah, and f Murray Abraham's and I think he
- 24:13Speaker 13: plays her husband. And the songs are really good and
- 24:17Speaker 13: that's gonna be a big hit.
- 24:19Speaker 2: Wow.
- 24:19Speaker 13: So yeah, yeah, yeah, we have a lot. And Chess
- 24:23Speaker 13: is coming. Did you ever see Chess the first time around?
- 24:26Speaker 1: Andrew Weber?
- 24:27Speaker 8: No?
- 24:29Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, one night in Bangkok.
- 24:31Speaker 13: It's a very popular show. And you know, the book
- 24:33Speaker 13: was never good. The songs were great, but the book's
- 24:36Speaker 13: book was never good. So they got this great guy,
- 24:38Speaker 13: Danny Strong, to rewrite the whole show. And now that
- 24:41Speaker 13: show is selling out in previews like crazy, I mean
- 24:44Speaker 13: totally sold out. So we have a Broadway is booming.
- 24:49Speaker 13: And I just put up a story on Showbiz for
- 24:52Speaker 13: one one that Daniel Radcliffe is coming from Harry Potter,
- 24:56Speaker 13: who already has a Tony Award for Merrily We Roll Along,
- 25:00Speaker 13: and he's going to be in a one man show
- 25:03Speaker 13: this winter that's being imported from England. But that's supposed
- 25:06Speaker 13: to be terrific. And as long as they don't charge
- 25:09Speaker 13: seven hundred dollars a ticket, I think they'll be Okay.
- 25:12Speaker 2: No, no, it's good news. I'm glad Broadway's doing so well. Hey,
- 25:15Speaker 2: I welcome by a Rockefeller Center on Radio City's marquee
- 25:18Speaker 2: right above it. It was the first Christmas tree I
- 25:21Speaker 2: saw this year. That Christmas tree above the Marquee is
- 25:24Speaker 2: up already. It's a little early.
- 25:25Speaker 1: Oh is it really it's there already.
- 25:27Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 25:27Speaker 1: Yeah. There's a great story.
- 25:30Speaker 13: About I'm an editor they brought into the New Yorker
- 25:34Speaker 13: from England, which was like are in nineteen ninety and
- 25:39Speaker 13: they bring this guy in and he's an older guy
- 25:41Speaker 13: and he's never been to New York before, and somehow
- 25:44Speaker 13: he got a job working as an editor of New Yorker.
- 25:46Speaker 13: And he comes back after lunch and he says to
- 25:49Speaker 13: the people in the office, oh my god, we have
- 25:51Speaker 13: to do this story. There's a big tree going up
- 25:54Speaker 13: in Rockefeller Center.
- 25:59Speaker 1: Well, and everyone was like, uh huh.
- 26:05Speaker 2: Speaking of Christmas though, this is the we're a little early,
- 26:09Speaker 2: but pretty soon that Christmas music will start everywhere, and
- 26:11Speaker 2: then you wrote about Mariah Carey. But yes, it's the
- 26:15Speaker 2: only time of the year. A lot of people who
- 26:16Speaker 2: don't know who these people are start to hear Andy
- 26:18Speaker 2: Williams and Nat King Cole and all that stuff. So
- 26:21Speaker 2: it's a great Also, you know, I'm thinking of Brenda Lee.
- 26:29Speaker 1: Brenda Lee, Brenda Lee.
- 26:31Speaker 13: Sometimes her song goes all the way up to number
- 26:33Speaker 13: one during Christmas time. She's about ninety and they you know,
- 26:37Speaker 13: they go and they wake her up and they tell
- 26:39Speaker 13: her what's going on, and she shocked.
- 26:42Speaker 1: Well, Mariah Carrey had.
- 26:43Speaker 13: An album out a few weeks ago that nobody bought,
- 26:47Speaker 13: which was a pretty good album. It was very well
- 26:49Speaker 13: sung and had nice songs, but nobody wanted to hear it,
- 26:55Speaker 13: you know.
- 26:56Speaker 1: Bad marketing.
- 26:57Speaker 13: Also that Mariah doesn't really get out and push stuff.
- 27:01Speaker 13: She expects you to come to her. But she loves
- 27:05Speaker 13: the Christmas season and she has the best selling Christmas
- 27:08Speaker 13: song of all time. That's all I really want for
- 27:11Speaker 13: Christmas is You or whatever it's called. Sounds like a
- 27:14Speaker 13: Phil Spector song and it's sold about a billion copies.
- 27:18Speaker 13: And every year around this time she starts putting little
- 27:20Speaker 13: messages on social media. Not yet, not yet, We're not
- 27:24Speaker 13: ready yet. And then she goes out and she has
- 27:26Speaker 13: her big Christmas season. It lasts about six weeks, so
- 27:29Speaker 13: we're about to see Mariah's Christmas season.
- 27:32Speaker 1: And that's how we know.
- 27:34Speaker 2: Yeah, Roger Freeman, too many documentaries. It's enough with these documentaries.
- 27:39Speaker 1: I know.
- 27:40Speaker 2: It's the cheapest thing to do. It's cheaper than making
- 27:41Speaker 2: an actual movie.
- 27:42Speaker 6: Oh.
- 27:42Speaker 1: No, documentaries are fabulous. I'll tell you why.
- 27:44Speaker 13: Documentaries are more important than ever. No, they're more important
- 27:47Speaker 13: than ever. And I'll tell you why. The reason is
- 27:51Speaker 13: as funding gets cut for PBS and National Public radio,
- 27:57Speaker 13: where we get a lot of information, and as the
- 28:01Speaker 13: networks like CBS today is laying off a thousand people,
- 28:05Speaker 13: as the networks are contracting and not doing so much
- 28:08Speaker 13: documentary work or newswork. Independent documentaries are really a huge
- 28:13Speaker 13: source of information for us, and we're getting to find
- 28:16Speaker 13: out things from around the world that we wouldn't know.
- 28:20Speaker 13: Critics Choice Association, which I'm part of, has a big
- 28:25Speaker 13: awards ceremony on November ninth over at the Ballroom on
- 28:31Speaker 13: forty seventh Street, and that's a very important thing. The
- 28:36Speaker 13: Gotham Awards just announced their awards coming up, nominations coming up,
- 28:41Speaker 13: and they have five terrific documentaries and then we'll have
- 28:45Speaker 13: the Oscars.
- 28:46Speaker 1: You can't.
- 28:46Speaker 13: I feel that you cannot have enough documentaries to illuminate
- 28:51Speaker 13: subjects around the world that we would not have.
- 28:52Speaker 2: Actual Most of them are about you know, there's a
- 28:55Speaker 2: new one Stiller and Mara. Now I love Stiller and Mara.
- 28:58Speaker 1: I know it's great. Watched it.
- 29:00Speaker 2: I knew Stiller and Marra. Yeah, what's like happened dozing
- 29:04Speaker 2: off halfway through? What am I watch?
- 29:06Speaker 1: Oh? No, I watched. I loved it. I loved them.
- 29:09Speaker 1: I knew them too.
- 29:09Speaker 13: We were very lucky to live in New York and
- 29:11Speaker 13: know them. And although I never had Blue Nune Wine,
- 29:18Speaker 13: Ben Stiller, their son has done a great job documenting
- 29:22Speaker 13: their career and it's on Apple TV. I recommend it
- 29:26Speaker 13: for it's so enjoyable to see them again.
- 29:28Speaker 2: All right, maybe just see I'd rather go to YouTube
- 29:31Speaker 2: and just watch Stiller in Marra and he Ed Sullivan
- 29:33Speaker 2: show on The Tonight Show or watch.
- 29:34Speaker 13: But you wouldn't, but we would because we're one hundred
- 29:37Speaker 13: and fifteen years old. But for younger people who are
- 29:40Speaker 13: Ben Stiller fans, let's say, and they don't know anything
- 29:43Speaker 13: about Stilar Mirror. They're learning about his parents for the
- 29:45Speaker 13: first time through this documentary. Then they're going to go
- 29:48Speaker 13: to YouTube and look at the clips, but they don't
- 29:50Speaker 13: know offhand that they should be doing that.
- 29:53Speaker 1: Do you see what I mean?
- 29:54Speaker 2: Yeah, Okay, this.
- 29:55Speaker 1: Is giving them entry away to that to Stiller Mirror.
- 29:58Speaker 1: So I think that's terrific.
- 30:00Speaker 2: But there's another documentary coming or is it a biopic
- 30:02Speaker 2: CCR Creeden's Clearwater Revival.
- 30:05Speaker 13: Oh well, Creeden's you know, Queen's Clearwater Revival is huge.
- 30:09Speaker 13: It's so weird that, you know, fifty sixty years after
- 30:13Speaker 13: they had hits, they're bigger than Effort. You know that
- 30:16Speaker 13: their greatest hits winds up in the top twenty every
- 30:20Speaker 13: week on iTunes. Wow, no one knows what, No one
- 30:23Speaker 13: knows why. But the songs are great. You know, if
- 30:24Speaker 13: they'll stop the Rain? Have you ever seen the Rain?
- 30:27Speaker 13: Proud Mary? All these songs and they're being played on
- 30:31Speaker 13: the radio constantly.
- 30:33Speaker 1: So now you know. This Bruce Springsteen movie is out
- 30:36Speaker 1: called Deliver.
- 30:36Speaker 13: Me from Nowhere, and the people who made it really
- 30:41Speaker 13: want to make a movie about John Fogerty and Creeden's
- 30:45Speaker 13: because you know, the great story, the crazy story about
- 30:48Speaker 13: them is that in the seventies, John Fogerty lost the
- 30:52Speaker 13: rights to all his songs and it took him like
- 30:54Speaker 13: twenty years to get them back, and in the meantime
- 30:58Speaker 13: he just sort of had to disavow them and go
- 31:00Speaker 13: on and play other songs. He would have been charged
- 31:03Speaker 13: by this company that bought them if he had played them. Wow,
- 31:07Speaker 13: it's a crazy story. Yeah, And John Fogerty is one
- 31:10Speaker 13: of the good guys of all time in music.
- 31:13Speaker 1: Everyone loves him.
- 31:15Speaker 13: So they're waiting to see if the Springsteen movie gets
- 31:19Speaker 13: a lot of awards. I think it'll have a lot
- 31:20Speaker 13: of awards action this winter, and then they're going to
- 31:24Speaker 13: announce that John Fogerty movie.
- 31:26Speaker 2: Oh no, there'll be a whole new genre. There'll be
- 31:28Speaker 2: a Freddie in the Dreamers movie. They'll be Oh, I
- 31:30Speaker 2: hope so Gilbert Sullivan's it won't stop Jerry and the Pacemakers.
- 31:35Speaker 1: There you go.
- 31:37Speaker 2: Well, Roger Friedman great stuff. Check out his website showbiz
- 31:41Speaker 2: for one one dot com. Showbiz for one one dot
- 31:45Speaker 2: com New stuff every day up there.
- 31:47Speaker 13: Oh listen, I have one other thing to tell you.
- 31:49Speaker 13: Tom Hanks Off Broadway show with the Shed begins tomorrow night.
- 31:53Speaker 13: It's already sold at its first two performances. It's called
- 31:56Speaker 13: This World of Tomorrow Kelly o'harrison at Rubenson Fiogo Hudson
- 32:01Speaker 13: and everyone's really looking forward to it. Go to the
- 32:03Speaker 13: Shed and try and get tickets.
- 32:05Speaker 2: Tom Hanks New Show. All right, all right, sounds good.
- 32:09Speaker 2: Roger Friedman, thanks for being with us. Thank you, take care. Hey,
- 32:14Speaker 2: we got a lot coming up, and then we'll get
- 32:16Speaker 2: back to the Mayoral Race in the next hour. Don't
- 32:18Speaker 2: forget Bucking Clay. It's an excellent show every day at
- 32:20Speaker 2: noon right here on seven to ten. WR get his.
- 32:26Speaker 5: And access to Mark by setting a pre set in
- 32:28Speaker 5: the iHeartRadio app for his live show and his podcast.
- 32:32Speaker 5: Now back to the Mark Simone Show on WR.
- 32:38Speaker 2: Hey, we'll stop forget the latest news, get updated. Then
- 32:41Speaker 2: in the next hour we'll get back to the mayoral Race. Well,
- 32:44Speaker 2: we'll get to Long Island too. Lots of talk about there,
- 32:47Speaker 2: but the Mayoral Race and a whole lot more, the
- 32:49Speaker 2: ballroom derangement syndrome and more. We'll get to twenty twenty
- 32:54Speaker 2: eight too. All of that in the next hour right
- 32:57Speaker 2: here on seven to ten.
- 32:59Speaker 14: W Oh, it's more more in mister New York on
- 33:03Speaker 14: seven to ten wr.
- 33:07Speaker 2: Well, hey, we'll get to Long Island this hour. Bruce
- 33:10Speaker 2: Blake Wan will be with us. The best county executive
- 33:12Speaker 2: in America. He's up for reelection. Make sure you vote
- 33:14Speaker 2: for him. You know, you only got six days till
- 33:16Speaker 2: the election. Early voting is going on right now. Looks
- 33:20Speaker 2: like extremely heavy turnout in New York City that's believed
- 33:23Speaker 2: to favor Andrew Cuomo. Curtis as well, But there has
- 33:29Speaker 2: been a shift. There is some movement people that weren't
- 33:32Speaker 2: going to vote for Cuomo now voting for him. So
- 33:34Speaker 2: he's picking up steam. I don't know. It could be
- 33:36Speaker 2: way too little, too late. You got six days until
- 33:39Speaker 2: the election. You got I think five more days of
- 33:43Speaker 2: early voting and then you'll get a lot of voting
- 33:46Speaker 2: on election day. A lot of people still wait till
- 33:47Speaker 2: election day to do it, and it's all kinds of
- 33:51Speaker 2: traditionalists that do that. But how did we get in
- 33:55Speaker 2: this mess? Well, you can blame Andrew Cuomo pretty much.
- 33:57Speaker 2: The Democratic Primary is what caused this mess. Cuomo was
- 34:01Speaker 2: not supposed to be in that You know, when you
- 34:03Speaker 2: leave office in disgrace, you quit in disgrace. You're not
- 34:07Speaker 2: supposed to come back that fast. You're really not supposed
- 34:10Speaker 2: to come back at all. But he jumped in there
- 34:13Speaker 2: and it was enough to scare Eric Adams out of
- 34:16Speaker 2: the primary. And who knows. Adams might have done much
- 34:20Speaker 2: better against mom Donnie, but it was a primary of
- 34:25Speaker 2: crazy Democrats, Brad Lander, those type of guys, and Cuomo
- 34:30Speaker 2: was just a disaster in both debates. In the primary,
- 34:33Speaker 2: he was horrible, got beaten to a pulp by Mamdanni
- 34:37Speaker 2: and he didn't do well. It was just a terrible campaign.
- 34:41Speaker 2: He didn't do a lot of rat didn't do anything,
- 34:43Speaker 2: no rallies, no event, there was not much of it.
- 34:45Speaker 2: There was no energy to his campaign. So he lost.
- 34:48Speaker 2: He was totally rejected by Democratic voters. Mom Donnie won
- 34:51Speaker 2: the primary in a huge amount of votes, and that's
- 34:55Speaker 2: how he got stuck with him. And once you get
- 34:59Speaker 2: on that Democratic now nomination, once you're a Democratic nominee,
- 35:02Speaker 2: there are so many people that just can't help it.
- 35:04Speaker 2: It's just a knee jerk. They just pull the Democratic lever.
- 35:08Speaker 2: So that's the problem, and the Democratic registration in New
- 35:11Speaker 2: York is like five to one over the Republicans. Now
- 35:16Speaker 2: Cuomo then jumps in on a third party. But remember
- 35:19Speaker 2: he's not a major party candidate. He's a third party candidate.
- 35:22Speaker 2: In fact, when you go to vote, you got to
- 35:24Speaker 2: hunt for his name. Top of the ballot is Mom Donnie,
- 35:27Speaker 2: next is Curtis, and then you got to go down
- 35:29Speaker 2: eight spaces to get eight. Cuomo has eight names down
- 35:33Speaker 2: on that ballot, so it's not easy to find. But
- 35:36Speaker 2: how did the Democrats let this happen? You got Chuck Schumer,
- 35:39Speaker 2: you got these old traditional Democrats jillibrand even that, you
- 35:46Speaker 2: know that crazy Kathy Hokeel. Why didn't they say anything,
- 35:49Speaker 2: the elders of the party, Why didn't they do something
- 35:52Speaker 2: about this crazy socialism. Well, in the case of Schumer, Hoko,
- 35:55Speaker 2: they're terrified, they're just frightened. They're not leaders. They're terrified.
- 35:58Speaker 2: They're paniced. They're afraid of him, they're afraid of get primaried.
- 36:03Speaker 2: But what about the guys that well, you know, this
- 36:06Speaker 2: is not just a little fringe of the Democratic Party,
- 36:09Speaker 2: it's all through the Democratic Party. The leadership is now
- 36:12Speaker 2: AOC Bernie Sanders. They're not tolerating Mom Donnie. They love
- 36:16Speaker 2: Mom Donnie. Listen to Bernie.
- 36:18Speaker 1: Let be cut to the chase.
- 36:20Speaker 15: The billionaires have already spent nineteen million dollars to Troy
- 36:25Speaker 15: to defeat Zaron Mamdani for Mayor of New York in
- 36:30Speaker 15: this last week. They're going to spend a hell of
- 36:33Speaker 15: a lot more. Our job is to do everything that
- 36:37Speaker 15: we can to bring out the vote.
- 36:40Speaker 2: You see, that's what they're tapping into. A lot of
- 36:42Speaker 2: this is about the billionaires, the billionaires.
- 36:45Speaker 4: Let be cut to the chase.
- 36:48Speaker 15: The billionaires have.
- 36:49Speaker 2: Already billionaires, the damn billionaires, those billionaires. You know you're
- 36:54Speaker 2: supposed to live in fear of these billionaires. First of all,
- 37:01Speaker 2: a Mom Donnie was financed by a lot of billionaires.
- 37:03Speaker 2: There were a lot of Soros types that financed Mom
- 37:06Speaker 2: Donnie and finance all this Bernie nonsense. It's billionaires, fine it,
- 37:11Speaker 2: but it sounds good. You remember when Biden took office,
- 37:15Speaker 2: kept telling you about the white supremacist. The biggest threat
- 37:18Speaker 2: in America is white supremacists. Well, there aren't any white supremacist.
- 37:21Speaker 2: There's a couple in a federal prison somewhere, and there's
- 37:24Speaker 2: a few in the Appalachian Mountains. But I remember the
- 37:27Speaker 2: police Commissioner Dermot cheat Is on good day in New
- 37:30Speaker 2: York and if Biden was going on and on about
- 37:32Speaker 2: the threat from white supremacists, and Rosanna scotisists to him,
- 37:37Speaker 2: how serious is the threat from white supremacists in New
- 37:41Speaker 2: York City? And he was very thoughtful, he said, you know,
- 37:45Speaker 2: I don't really have let me give you an answer tomorrow.
- 37:47Speaker 2: Let me check on this research this And the next
- 37:50Speaker 2: day she read what he sent to her. He said,
- 37:53Speaker 2: I've checked everything. Our department has never encountered a white supremacist.
- 37:57Speaker 2: So it wasn't it wasn't a thing, right, But it's
- 38:00Speaker 2: the same thing the billionaires, these billionaires. Now, what is
- 38:04Speaker 2: it these billionaires are doing to us? Well, they're paying
- 38:08Speaker 2: most of our taxes for us. You know, here in
- 38:10Speaker 2: New York, the billionaires pay forty eight percent of the tax.
- 38:14Speaker 2: The top one percent pays forty eight percent of the
- 38:17Speaker 2: tax here in New York. And they do create a
- 38:20Speaker 2: lot of jobs, you know, you see these billionaires. Look
- 38:23Speaker 2: at they open that JP Morgan Chase brand new building
- 38:26Speaker 2: on Park Avenue. Well it says there'll be ten thousand
- 38:29Speaker 2: people working there. So it's one building ten thousand jobs.
- 38:33Speaker 2: And you know, some of these billionaires they create companies
- 38:36Speaker 2: like Amazon, Federal Express, Fred Smith, great guy, he created
- 38:43Speaker 2: the Federal Express. That's eight hundred thousand job. See, you
- 38:47Speaker 2: kind of need these billionaires. But you're supposed to live
- 38:50Speaker 2: in fear of them the way he talks. They're billionaires,
- 38:53Speaker 2: those billionaires. Now, be honest. You ever walk down the
- 38:57Speaker 2: street and you say, oh, watch out, there's a billionaire. Oh,
- 39:00Speaker 2: you're really supposed to be afraid of them. You cross
- 39:03Speaker 2: the street, Oh, let's go this way. There's billionaires over
- 39:05Speaker 2: there that they're really not going to hurt you, these billionaires.
- 39:08Speaker 2: But that's what Mamdannie taps into. Even though he's funded
- 39:13Speaker 2: by billionaires. You're not supposed to notice that. But it's
- 39:16Speaker 2: just crazy.
- 39:16Speaker 1: Now.
- 39:17Speaker 2: Then he promises this free stuff, you know whatever, they
- 39:20Speaker 2: promised this stuff, free buses, free rent, free apartments, free food,
- 39:24Speaker 2: free grocery stores, free. It's the billionaires that pay for it.
- 39:27Speaker 2: If you get rid of them, nobody's gonna pay for this.
- 39:29Speaker 2: By the way, with the free buses. I've been telling
- 39:31Speaker 2: you this all along, But the MTA chairman, that weasel,
- 39:36Speaker 2: Jano Lieber, finally came out and said there's no such
- 39:38Speaker 2: thing as free buses. The mayor has no power over
- 39:42Speaker 2: the MTA, no control of the MTA, and he said,
- 39:45Speaker 2: forget the free buses. It's an absolutely ridiculous thing. But
- 39:49Speaker 2: this may all race has It's not just here in
- 39:52Speaker 2: New York. You know, the whole country is focused on this.
- 39:55Speaker 2: You're the big national shows. You know, you listen to
- 39:57Speaker 2: the Sean Hannity radio show. That's seventeen million people around
- 40:00Speaker 2: the country. They're all talking about it. I was on
- 40:02Speaker 2: Cuddlow yesterday. It's the number one show in business television,
- 40:05Speaker 2: national show. But we could talk about the mayor ole
- 40:08Speaker 2: race in great detail, and everybody around the country knows
- 40:11Speaker 2: all the stuff. They're following it closely. So most important
- 40:15Speaker 2: thing is get out there and vote. Voter turnout is
- 40:18Speaker 2: five hundred percent above normal right now. If that continues,
- 40:21Speaker 2: we could get to two million votes. If that's the case,
- 40:25Speaker 2: Mom Donnie has a really good chance of losing. If
- 40:28Speaker 2: it's the normal thirty percent turnout, he's got a real
- 40:30Speaker 2: good chance of winning. If it gets to two million
- 40:34Speaker 2: up near there a very good chance at Mom Donnie loses.
- 40:38Speaker 2: So that's the key, get out and vote, and another
- 40:40Speaker 2: important thing to keep reminding you. If you're in Manhattan,
- 40:43Speaker 2: get rid of Alvin Bragg the DA. Vote for Maud Marin.
- 40:48Speaker 2: She's the Republican candidate. She's very big on this is
- 40:51Speaker 2: a revolutionary idea. I'm putting the criminals in jail the
- 40:54Speaker 2: current DA. Bragg doesn't believe in jail. He believes in
- 40:57Speaker 2: letting them all out. He said that on Day one,
- 41:00Speaker 2: famous memo. So get rid of Alvin Bragg, vote for
- 41:03Speaker 2: maud Merin, and again throw out everybody on the city council.
- 41:06Speaker 2: Just everybody clean house and get a new common sense
- 41:10Speaker 2: city council. If you're worried about Mom, Donnie, that's one
- 41:13Speaker 2: thing you can do, because city council has more power
- 41:16Speaker 2: than anybody. Hey, when it comes to twenty twenty eight,
- 41:18Speaker 2: what are the Democrats going to do? A lot of
- 41:22Speaker 2: them want to run a lot of these cabinet members,
- 41:23Speaker 2: the Pete Buddhajetge types. But they're going to have a
- 41:27Speaker 2: big problem because more and more stuff is coming out
- 41:30Speaker 2: and you'll continue to see more showing that Joe Biden
- 41:33Speaker 2: was a complete zombie, a vegetable that didn't know where
- 41:37Speaker 2: he was, and they were all covering it up. So
- 41:39Speaker 2: if you're in the cabinet, you're gonna have to explain
- 41:41Speaker 2: why you helped cover that up, why you didn't say anything.
- 41:44Speaker 2: So anybody in the Biden mistration is going to have
- 41:47Speaker 2: trouble running. They'll never be able to explain why they
- 41:49Speaker 2: didn't come forward or why they didn't do something. So
- 41:53Speaker 2: this helps Gavin Newsom because he could say, you know, hey,
- 41:56Speaker 2: I was all the way out in California. I didn't
- 41:58Speaker 2: know what was going on. And Josh Shapiro, the Pennsylvania governor,
- 42:03Speaker 2: good governor. Maybe he's eyeing twenty twenty eight. He's starting
- 42:08Speaker 2: to say things about Biden that everybody should have noticed.
- 42:12Speaker 2: He noticed, he saw things wrong, he said, just watching television,
- 42:15Speaker 2: I saw So he's starting to do that. Hey, now,
- 42:18Speaker 2: what about Trump in twenty twenty eight. You know, he's
- 42:21Speaker 2: talked about how he could run in twenty twenty eight.
- 42:23Speaker 2: I don't know how he could, but he's been talking
- 42:24Speaker 2: about it. I think you might see that talk stop
- 42:28Speaker 2: from what I hear. Mike Johnson has told him to
- 42:30Speaker 2: stop with the twenty twenty eight He's basically just taunting people.
- 42:33Speaker 2: But Johnson said, you could hurt us in the midterms.
- 42:37Speaker 2: People might get so scared of that just as you know,
- 42:43Speaker 2: just as a buffer, they might vote for Democrats just
- 42:45Speaker 2: to make sure government was split. So he said, stop
- 42:48Speaker 2: the twenty twenty eight talk. It might help Democrats in
- 42:51Speaker 2: the midterms. So you probably see Trump stop that the shutdown.
- 42:56Speaker 2: The Democrats keep voting to keep the shutdown going. I
- 42:58Speaker 2: don't know why they keep voting. Schumer making he's having
- 43:01Speaker 2: another press conference to day. He just makes these crazy comments.
- 43:06Speaker 2: There was one yesterday. Why is the president on a
- 43:09Speaker 2: foreign trip? What is he doing overseas? Why would he
- 43:12Speaker 2: be on a foreign Well, he's coming back with great deals.
- 43:15Speaker 2: He's saving the American economy with that stuff. That's why
- 43:18Speaker 2: the stock market has been soaring. He's been making great agreements,
- 43:22Speaker 2: trade deals, all sorts of economic deals with country after country.
- 43:26Speaker 2: It's called deliverables. He's getting us stuff. He meets with
- 43:29Speaker 2: the president she late tonight.
- 43:31Speaker 7: President chief of China is coming tomorrow here and we're
- 43:34Speaker 7: going to be I hope making a deal.
- 43:36Speaker 2: I think we're gonna have a deal. I think it'll
- 43:37Speaker 2: be a good deal for both. Yeah, Now this could
- 43:40Speaker 2: be big. This could really be a big, huge boost
- 43:42Speaker 2: of the economy. Now you'll say it's tomorrow the meeting
- 43:45Speaker 2: with she, but because of the crazy time difference, it'll
- 43:48Speaker 2: actually be late tonight for us. Hey, the cartel, you know,
- 43:57Speaker 2: we keep blowing up those ships out there. A lot
- 43:58Speaker 2: of people are saying, if Trump's going to war with
- 44:01Speaker 2: the cartel, why does he blow up the labs, you know,
- 44:04Speaker 2: like in Mexico where they make the drugs, Why doesn't
- 44:06Speaker 2: he blow that up. There's a lot of strategy to this.
- 44:10Speaker 2: They've thought about this very carefully. This is very strategic.
- 44:13Speaker 2: They have figured out if you blow up the lab,
- 44:15Speaker 2: they can rebuild another lab. Oh, it might cost them
- 44:19Speaker 2: twenty five thousand to build a new lab, but twenty
- 44:22Speaker 2: five thousand. If you blow up the ship with the
- 44:25Speaker 2: drugs on it and all the ingredients, that's twenty five million.
- 44:28Speaker 2: So the idea is to bankrupt them, to just drain
- 44:31Speaker 2: them financially. So and you can make all the drugs
- 44:35Speaker 2: you want in a lab, but that doesn't mean anything
- 44:36Speaker 2: if he can't transport them to the U. And it's
- 44:38Speaker 2: mostly by ship, So it shuts down the transportation of
- 44:42Speaker 2: the drugs and it kills them financially. Again, blowing up
- 44:47Speaker 2: the lab. You can you watch Breaking Bad how they
- 44:49Speaker 2: built those labs. It's about twenty thousand. Twenty five thousand
- 44:53Speaker 2: means you blow up the lab, they can have another
- 44:55Speaker 2: one up in a week. You blow up twenty five.
- 44:57Speaker 2: Some of those ships had fifty million in drugs on them.
- 45:00Speaker 2: Really really hurt the car. Tell So anyways, Hey, the
- 45:06Speaker 2: ballroom project moving along. They're moving very fast.
- 45:10Speaker 1: Now.
- 45:10Speaker 2: The reason for the ballroom the President, as a world leader,
- 45:14Speaker 2: met all the other world leaders all over the world,
- 45:16Speaker 2: and he noticed when you go see a world leader,
- 45:19Speaker 2: they're in a palace. It's the most ornate, palatial, unbelievably
- 45:23Speaker 2: spectacular places you meet them. See realized. They come to
- 45:26Speaker 2: America and the Oval Office, you know, we think it's great,
- 45:29Speaker 2: but it's a pretty plain room. It's like a plain
- 45:32Speaker 2: municipal office, and it doesn't project what you want to project.
- 45:36Speaker 2: And when they come here, the President feels you know,
- 45:39Speaker 2: you see the Oval Office. Now he's got gold and
- 45:41Speaker 2: it's too ornate and it's too looks like Versai or something. Well,
- 45:45Speaker 2: that's to project power, strength, wealth, because that's the way
- 45:49Speaker 2: those world leaders live and that's what their office looks like.
- 45:52Speaker 2: So he's trying to project that back. And when they
- 45:55Speaker 2: come here for a major event. It was pathetic. They
- 45:59Speaker 2: would hold it on the way White House lawn in
- 46:00Speaker 2: a tent. The East room of the White House only
- 46:04Speaker 2: holds about one hundred people, but you can do five
- 46:07Speaker 2: six hundred. They would do it on a tent on
- 46:09Speaker 2: the lawn. It's like you're at a wedding in Great Neck,
- 46:11Speaker 2: Long Island or something and a tent with porta potties.
- 46:16Speaker 2: So that's why he's building this ballroom. So when they
- 46:18Speaker 2: come here, it projects wealth and power and strength. Better
- 46:21Speaker 2: image for the United States. Oh, speaking of Long Island.
- 46:26Speaker 2: Check out my Instagram. So I'm going through these old photos.
- 46:29Speaker 2: I found this was from twenty years ago. It's Sean Hannity,
- 46:33Speaker 2: me and Curtis. We did a big book signing event
- 46:37Speaker 2: at Huntington, Long Island book review. Remember that great book
- 46:40Speaker 2: starts Gone now but spectacular. I mean, I love this picture.
- 46:45Speaker 2: It's from twenty years ago. Look how different everybody looks
- 46:48Speaker 2: twenty years ago. It's up on my Instagram. Mark Simone
- 46:52Speaker 2: NYC at Instagram. Mark Simone NYC at Instagram. Hey, it
- 46:57Speaker 2: was on Long Island all this weekend. It's booming thanks
- 47:00Speaker 2: to Bruce Blakeman. The Great Nassau County Executive. He'll be

- 47:09Speaker 2: watch collector, you know Wempy and Better region all the
- 47:12Speaker 2: great watch dealers, but nobody better than London Jewelers. Spectacular
- 47:17Speaker 2: store in Long Island. Although it's closed right now. They're
- 47:20Speaker 2: building another floor on it. That's a big and they're
- 47:22Speaker 2: in a temporary store. But even in the temporary store,
- 47:25Speaker 2: it's spectacular. They had their watch fair this weekend. Anybody
- 47:28Speaker 2: who's everybody in Long Island was there. It was phenomenal.
- 47:31Speaker 2: Gillis Pole, the brilliant restaurant tour, Jerry Savarro another great
- 47:35Speaker 2: restaurant or everybody was there. London Jewelers run by the
- 47:39Speaker 2: nicest people. Mark you dell, his wife, Candy, you dell,
- 47:42Speaker 2: the whole family. And if you're a watch collector, nobody
- 47:45Speaker 2: has better. I mean, it's not just the best brands
- 47:48Speaker 2: that you got to have an eye for buying the
- 47:50Speaker 2: best of the best. London Jewelers. Check it out. The
- 47:52Speaker 2: Americana So coming up. Bruce Blakeman, he was there too.
- 47:58Speaker 2: Bruce Blakeman will get to him in just a few minutes.
- 48:01Speaker 2: We'll take some calls. Next. Eight hundred three to two
- 48:04Speaker 2: one zero seven ten is the number eight hundred three
- 48:08Speaker 2: to two one zero seven ten to.
- 48:11Speaker 1: The Mark Simone sell on wo.
- 48:15Speaker 2: R Hey, let's take some calls. Let's go to Stuart
- 48:18Speaker 2: in South Carolina. Stuart, how you doing.
- 48:21Speaker 8: Hey, Mark car are you you know?
- 48:23Speaker 9: I'm trying to find out a lot of information about
- 48:25Speaker 9: the Alvin Bragg race. Because Alburn Bragg stays in there
- 48:29Speaker 9: with Mom, Donnie or even Cuomo and Hoche, Well, you're
- 48:32Speaker 9: going to have the trifecta of hell.
- 48:34Speaker 2: Yeah, everybody, get rid of Alvin Bragg. Vote for Maud Maren,
- 48:37Speaker 2: the Republican candidate. She's a good on crime. Vote for her.
- 48:41Speaker 2: Get rid of Alvin Bragg.
- 48:43Speaker 9: Oh absolutely, He's crossed so much death and destruction in
- 48:47Speaker 9: New York City. I can't imagine anybody voting for this guy.
- 48:50Speaker 9: And it sounds like does he still have a shot or.
- 48:53Speaker 2: What crazy New York City. Good news is with these
- 48:55Speaker 2: DA races, it doesn't take a lot of votes to
- 48:58Speaker 2: get rid of them. So make sure you vote, get
- 48:59Speaker 2: out there and vote for Maud Maren for d A
- 49:02Speaker 2: good point Stewart. Let's go to Billy in Manhattan. Billy,
- 49:05Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 49:07Speaker 1: Mark?
- 49:07Speaker 12: We well, a couple of quick points. Who are the
- 49:10Speaker 12: heard of this Gotham polling group. From what I gathered,
- 49:12Speaker 12: it's a couple of hundred senior citizens that are friendly
- 49:15Speaker 12: to Cuomo. And it's almost publicity, including your station. It's bogus.
- 49:19Speaker 2: Well, you know, you got to remember in this race,
- 49:21Speaker 2: we haven't had any real good polls. We've had all
- 49:23Speaker 2: these junk polls, these college polls, these media polls. Normally,
- 49:27Speaker 2: the campaign behind the scenes they bring in the big, big,
- 49:30Speaker 2: serious pollsters, the John McLaughlin's, but none of them have
- 49:34Speaker 2: spent the money. That's the problem. So we're all these
- 49:37Speaker 2: public poles are all just just junk. Let's go to
- 49:40Speaker 2: Jan in New Jersey. Jan, how you doing?
- 49:43Speaker 8: Mark?
- 49:44Speaker 3: May Or?
- 49:45Speaker 11: Mark?
- 49:45Speaker 14: Doesn't that sound good?
- 49:47Speaker 2: No? No, I don't want to be mayor?
- 49:49Speaker 14: Okay, all right, I know you don't want it, but
- 49:51Speaker 14: you'd be great. You know what I was thinking. There's
- 49:54Speaker 14: so much like everybody, but with Mom, Donnie and AOC
- 49:59Speaker 14: and Burn, they're like keeping people to be caterpillars instead
- 50:03Speaker 14: of letting them to be butterflies.
- 50:06Speaker 2: All Right, I don't know what that means. But okay,
- 50:08Speaker 2: let's go to Jimmy and New Milford. Jimmy, how you doing?
- 50:14Speaker 8: He good?
- 50:14Speaker 1: Wanting markla good.
- 50:16Speaker 6: There's one thing that I could never There's one thing
- 50:19Speaker 6: I can never figure Clmo for, and that was when
- 50:23Speaker 6: he said, boy, you know, America was never that great anyway.
- 50:27Speaker 2: One of those famous comments, you know, to talk about
- 50:29Speaker 2: these things that mom Donnie said in the past. Cuomo
- 50:31Speaker 2: said some pretty bad things in the past. Two Let's
- 50:34Speaker 2: go to Vincent and Brooklyn. Vincent, how you doing.
- 50:37Speaker 4: Good morning, Mark? I'm okay, good morning, Mara. Mark. Among
- 50:40Speaker 4: the many things you said that or right on the money,
- 50:43Speaker 4: you mentioned the fact that the new Chase building. Now
- 50:47Speaker 4: I want AOC Bernie Sanders and Mondamie to think about this.
- 50:52Speaker 4: Think about all the tax relief and all the money
- 50:55Speaker 4: that that building is supplying to the city burst off
- 51:01Speaker 4: in property tax, in water and sewer tax, and then
- 51:06Speaker 4: all the people that are being employed. You said, what
- 51:09Speaker 4: ten thousand people are being employed in that building. Yeah,
- 51:12Speaker 4: all right, all those people have to be are paying tax, right,
- 51:16Speaker 4: and they're contributing also to the local economy. Because Jamie
- 51:21Speaker 4: Diamond says he wants everybody to work, right at least
- 51:24Speaker 4: three or four days a week.
- 51:26Speaker 2: No, yeah, what's your five days a week? Great, Jamie
- 51:29Speaker 2: Dimon as well as you got to go back to
- 51:30Speaker 2: the office, right.
- 51:32Speaker 4: Because he knows that that's contributing to the local economy,
- 51:37Speaker 4: to the delicate tssen, to the dry cleaners, this, that
- 51:40Speaker 4: and the other. And another thing that you mentioned. You
- 51:43Speaker 4: mentioned the great voted turnout, the high voted turnout. John
- 51:47Speaker 4: Kattamatidis last night said that in June, and this is
- 51:52Speaker 4: another reason why we must bring the primary back in September.
- 51:57Speaker 4: In June it was one hundred and two degrees that
- 52:00Speaker 4: stay that they had the primary. I felt like when
- 52:03Speaker 4: I went to go vote, I was gonna drop bed in.
- 52:05Speaker 4: The polling place is only three blocks from my house.
- 52:09Speaker 4: People are busy, schools over, they're getting ready to go
- 52:12Speaker 4: up state, go on vacation. And yeah, no that's a
- 52:16Speaker 4: good degrees heat and everything.
- 52:18Speaker 2: No good point, No more primaries in June. They got
- 52:22Speaker 2: to move back to September where they belong. But Vincent,
- 52:24Speaker 2: we got to go do the news. Great call. Yeah
- 52:26Speaker 2: it was there's another There have been a lot of
- 52:29Speaker 2: tricks they've used from the rank choice voting to moving
- 52:31Speaker 2: the primaries to June. You get much lower turnout if
- 52:34Speaker 2: you do it in June. If you do it in September,
- 52:36Speaker 2: you get much better turnout. Hey, when we come back,
- 52:38Speaker 2: we'll talk to the best county executive in America, Bruce Blakeman.
- 52:42Speaker 2: He's up for reelection. Obviously he's gonna win, but make
- 52:44Speaker 2: sure you get out there and Botram. We'll talk to
- 52:46Speaker 2: him next on seven to ten WR.
- 52:49Speaker 5: Mister New York. Hey, that's marksimone seven ten WR.
- 52:54Speaker 2: Well, we love Long Island, especially Nasaut County, and it
- 52:57Speaker 2: has the best county executive in America. There's not even
- 53:01Speaker 2: a close second. Bruce Blakeman is the county executive up
- 53:04Speaker 2: for reelection on Tuesday. Make sure you vote for Bruce
- 53:06Speaker 2: Blakeman on Tuesday. And he's with us right now. Bruce Blakeman,
- 53:09Speaker 2: how you doing good?
- 53:11Speaker 12: Mark?
- 53:12Speaker 8: Thank you so much. You're very kind, Really appreciate it.
- 53:15Speaker 2: Do you actually have an opponent? Has anybody had the
- 53:16Speaker 2: nerve to run against you?
- 53:19Speaker 8: Yes, we have an opponent. I don't take anything for granted,
- 53:22Speaker 8: you know, Mark. In Nassau County we have one hundred
- 53:24Speaker 8: and ten thousand more registered Democrats than Republicans. So we
- 53:29Speaker 8: can't take anything for granted here.
- 53:31Speaker 2: All right, So everybody get out and vote for Bruce
- 53:33Speaker 2: Blakeman on Tuesday. You have early voting out there too,
- 53:36Speaker 2: don't you.
- 53:37Speaker 4: Yes, yes, so yeah, do it.
- 53:39Speaker 2: Today and you have a very good district attorney. It's
- 53:42Speaker 2: to Anne Donnelly, right, We everyra should vote for her
- 53:45Speaker 2: too well.
- 53:46Speaker 8: Working with Anne Donnelly and our great police Commissioner Pat Ryder,
- 53:50Speaker 8: and our police department, our Sheriff's department, working very closely
- 53:55Speaker 8: with ICE, we are the safest county in America, which
- 53:58Speaker 8: is saving It's saying a lot since we're on the
- 54:00Speaker 8: border of New York City and our populations larger than
- 54:04Speaker 8: ten states in America.
- 54:06Speaker 2: Yeah, so if mom Donnie wins, can we join Nasau
- 54:11Speaker 2: County in New York City? Can become part of Nassau County?
- 54:13Speaker 2: Is that possible?
- 54:14Speaker 8: Our real estate brokers are doing a tremendous business right now.
- 54:18Speaker 8: Our housing prices are going up up, So if you
- 54:23Speaker 8: want to come to Dassau County, now's the time to
- 54:26Speaker 8: buy because it's only going to go higher. People are
- 54:29Speaker 8: very concerned about him becoming mayor. I certainly am planning
- 54:33Speaker 8: with our police department measures that we're going to take
- 54:37Speaker 8: because we have a great relationship with the NYPD right now.
- 54:41Speaker 8: We share intelligence, we share assets, we work very well together.
- 54:45Speaker 8: I'm not sure that's going to be the same if
- 54:48Speaker 8: he's elected.
- 54:51Speaker 2: How hard is it just to have common sense in politics?
- 54:54Speaker 2: You know, one thing, you come from the private sector too.
- 54:56Speaker 2: Do you think that should be a requirement that you
- 54:59Speaker 2: had have been in the private sector just to learn
- 55:01Speaker 2: common sense and how to be practical about things.
- 55:05Speaker 8: I think it's a great platform to run for office
- 55:08Speaker 8: where you have to meet a payroll, where you understand
- 55:12Speaker 8: that everything that every decision that that's made is a
- 55:16Speaker 8: cost benefit analysis. That's what you should do in business.
- 55:20Speaker 8: That's what you should do in government. Unfortunately it's not
- 55:22Speaker 8: done in government. But you know, we do common sense
- 55:25Speaker 8: things out here, like boys play with boys, girls play
- 55:28Speaker 8: with girls. We don't want boys and girls bathrooms and
- 55:33Speaker 8: locker rooms. Just common sense.
- 55:35Speaker 2: Yeah, and things are booming and NASA right every time
- 55:38Speaker 2: I'm out there, you got another hotel going up, more
- 55:40Speaker 2: stores are opening. It's the economy is bigger than ever,
- 55:43Speaker 2: isn't it.
- 55:45Speaker 8: Our gross domestic product is larger than one hundred and
- 55:47Speaker 8: twenty six nations in the United Nations. We are an
- 55:51Speaker 8: economic powerhouse. Our restaurants are as good as New York City.
- 55:55Speaker 8: Our shopping is as good as New York City, may
- 55:59Speaker 8: be better. We have beautiful beaches, beautiful parks, great museums.
- 56:03Speaker 8: And by the way, I heard you mentioned the YOUU
- 56:05Speaker 8: Dell's great great entrepreneurs out here in Nassau County. I
- 56:10Speaker 8: love them because they create a lot of sales tax
- 56:12Speaker 8: revenue for us.
- 56:13Speaker 2: Yea Marky Della, his wife Candy, that whole family is
- 56:16Speaker 2: just wonderful. And that's another example. Like he's adding another
- 56:22Speaker 2: Florid to his store. Next store, you got rh Restoration hardware.
- 56:26Speaker 2: They just opened a spectacular store. So they must think
- 56:29Speaker 2: highly of you and Long Island if they're spending all
- 56:31Speaker 2: this money to expand.
- 56:34Speaker 8: Well, we are the safest county in America. We haven't
- 56:36Speaker 8: raised taxes one penny in four years, so we're doing
- 56:41Speaker 8: the right things out here. And we encourage businesses to
- 56:44Speaker 8: come to Nassau County. I meet with business owners from
- 56:48Speaker 8: all over the world, not just the United States, and
- 56:52Speaker 8: encourage them to do business in Nassau County because it's safe.
- 56:55Speaker 8: We've got beautiful housing stock. As I said, we've got
- 56:58Speaker 8: beautiful beaches, our our top notch. We've got a lot
- 57:02Speaker 8: to offer out here.
- 57:03Speaker 2: Yeah, So why does anybody go to the Hamptons. I've
- 57:07Speaker 2: never understood that it takes you nine hours to get there.
- 57:10Speaker 2: Nasau County got better restaurants and better stores, you got
- 57:12Speaker 2: beautiful beaches. But I guess it's good they don't all
- 57:16Speaker 2: come because you can't, you'd have too many people.
- 57:20Speaker 8: We were the Hamptons before there was a Hampton mark.
- 57:22Speaker 8: So we have the Gold Coast, which has amazing homes, again,
- 57:29Speaker 8: great restaurants. Then on the South Shore, we've got some
- 57:33Speaker 8: of the most pristine, beautiful beaches in the whole world.
- 57:36Speaker 8: So we've never marketed Nassau County the way that we should.
- 57:41Speaker 8: So the last four years, that's all I've been doing.
- 57:44Speaker 8: As I said, our gross domestic product is incredibly high.
- 57:47Speaker 8: When I came into office, it was eighty five billion
- 57:49Speaker 8: a year. It's now over one hundred and twenty five
- 57:51Speaker 8: billion dollars a year.
- 57:52Speaker 1: Wow.
- 57:53Speaker 2: So everybody vote for Bruce Blakeman Tuesday's election. That you
- 57:56Speaker 2: can do early voting if you're in Nasau County, make
- 57:58Speaker 2: sure you vote for Bruce Blakeman, and you must have
- 58:03Speaker 2: you thought about the next four years what you want
- 58:04Speaker 2: to do. You must have a lot on your plate there.
- 58:07Speaker 2: But what's next for NASA?
- 58:10Speaker 8: Continue to make it safer, continue to make it more affordable,
- 58:14Speaker 8: keep taxes down, and use common sense, as you said,
- 58:19Speaker 8: and American values. We need to get back to American values.
- 58:22Speaker 8: Our kids have been indoctrinated with nonsense in our schools
- 58:27Speaker 8: and universities, and we've got to reteach them about the
- 58:30Speaker 8: things that were talked to us by our parents and grandparents.
- 58:34Speaker 2: Yeah, when you get a mom Donnie getting all these votes,
- 58:38Speaker 2: a lot of people think that's the result of universities
- 58:40Speaker 2: becoming crazy left wing and doctrination centers gl glamorizing socialism.
- 58:46Speaker 2: And how do you undo that? That could take They've
- 58:49Speaker 2: raised generations of these crazy people. How do you undo that?
- 58:52Speaker 8: Well, we have to re educate Mark. By the way,
- 58:56Speaker 8: communism has been a failure. Socialism has been a failure.
- 58:59Speaker 8: You can't point to one country where it's been a success.
- 59:04Speaker 8: And my friends who are who are you know, immigrants
- 59:07Speaker 8: from socialist countries. They can't understand why we don't teach
- 59:11Speaker 8: more in our in our public schools and our universities
- 59:14Speaker 8: and our private schools about what socialism and communism are
- 59:19Speaker 8: all about. It's basically being nonproductive, depending on the government
- 59:24Speaker 8: to control every aspect of your life. Anti religion, no spirituality.
- 59:31Speaker 8: It's really a dismal life. I think Winston Churchill said
- 59:35Speaker 8: it's the sharing of misery.
- 59:38Speaker 1: I like that.
- 59:39Speaker 2: So Bruce Blakeman is up for re election. Make sure
- 59:41Speaker 2: you vote for him on Tuesday. Best county executive in America?
- 59:46Speaker 2: Have you getten calls from other county executives? You've worked
- 59:48Speaker 2: miracles there? Have they called you for a guidance advice?
- 59:52Speaker 8: Well, I talk with political leaders throughout the state. I
- 59:57Speaker 8: speak with county executives all over New York State, and
- 1:00:02Speaker 8: you know, we've got a good nucleus here in New
- 1:00:04Speaker 8: York State. And you know, one of the things we've
- 1:00:07Speaker 8: got to do is focus very very carefully on changing
- 1:00:10Speaker 8: our state government because they're the biggest problem. With castlest bail,
- 1:00:15Speaker 8: with all congestion, pricing, all of these types of very
- 1:00:20Speaker 8: oppressive laws that are anti business, the pro criminal those
- 1:00:25Speaker 8: are the types of things that we've got to change
- 1:00:28Speaker 8: in our state government.
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: Yeah, if we have any big politicians listening. Give them
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: some advice on how to be fearless. You've been a
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: guy who just you know, what's the right thing to do,
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: what's the smart thing to do, and you do it,
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: and maybe you get a little flack, but you get
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: through it. You're not under any big attack from anybody
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: to tell them how doing the right thing is sometimes
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: in the end will always work out for you.
- 1:00:49Speaker 8: Well, that's absolutely right, Mark. I think that if you
- 1:00:51Speaker 8: do the right thing, if you're courageous, if you stand
- 1:00:55Speaker 8: by your values and principles, eventually that will reap great benefits.
- 1:01:00Speaker 8: So I'll give you a for instance, my cooperation with ICE.
- 1:01:04Speaker 8: We are the most comprehensive county in the United States.
- 1:01:08Speaker 8: In our cooperation with ICE. We've removed forty seven illegal
- 1:01:14Speaker 8: migrants who had criminal records just last months. Twenty eight
- 1:01:18Speaker 8: of them were gang related. When people when I told
- 1:01:22Speaker 8: people I was going to enter into a cooperation agreement
- 1:01:26Speaker 8: with ICE, they were like, Oh, you're going to lose
- 1:01:28Speaker 8: the Hispanic vote. The Hispanic Americans won't both of you.
- 1:01:32Speaker 8: We've pulled it now three times in the Hispanic American community,
- 1:01:36Speaker 8: they love it. From sixty two to sixty six percent
- 1:01:40Speaker 8: of Hispanic Americans want that cooperation with ICE because they
- 1:01:44Speaker 8: want safe communities for their children. They don't want their
- 1:01:47Speaker 8: children to being doctrinated into gangs. They don't want overcrowded schools,
- 1:01:51Speaker 8: they don't want homeless people in their neighborhoods. So my
- 1:01:54Speaker 8: support in the Hispanic American community has been overwhelming.
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a great example for any other politicians. Just
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: do the right thing. You'll get a little flak here
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: in there, but in the end everything will be better,
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: Everything works out, and then you get credit for doing
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: the right thing. And we want everybody to vote for
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: Bruce Blakeman on Tuesday, that's election day, but you can
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: do it now, there's early voting in Nassau County. He's
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: the best county executive in America by far. And Bruce Blakeman,
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: good luck, not that you'll need it, but thanks for
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: being with us. Keep up the great work.
- 1:02:24Speaker 8: Mark, you're a good friend. Thank you so much. And
- 1:02:27Speaker 8: if I had your voice and your intellect, that'd be
- 1:02:29Speaker 8: President of the United States.
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: Definitely do well, not yet, not yet, we need you
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: in Nasau County then, president, But thanks for making Marks
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: take care. Yeah, he really has done a phenomenal job
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: in Nassau County. If we could clone him, that would
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: be perfect. If we can get somewhere like that is Mayor,
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: then we wouldn't have to settle for these horrible choices
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: we got. Hey, we got a lot coming up today,
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: Buck and Clay at noon, excellent show. Then you got
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: the most listened to radio show in America, Sean Hannity
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: today Wednesday. I think Curtis is on with Buck and
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: Clay today. I think in the one o'clock hour you'll
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: hear Curtis on Buck and Clay. Then, Hey, don't forget
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: Jimmy Fayala great show every night nine to midnight. Here
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: on seven to ten WR.
- 1:03:16Speaker 5: Set up reseat on the iHeartRadio app to WR to
- 1:03:20Speaker 5: hear Mark live.
- 1:03:21Speaker 11: Set another for.
- 1:03:22Speaker 5: Mark's podcast to hear him anytime. Now back to Mark
- 1:03:26Speaker 5: Simone on WOOR.
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: It just about out of time. Hey, don't forget Buck
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: and Clay coming up today, Curtis will be a big
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: guest on the show. I think in the one o'clock
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: hour you'll hear him with the Buck and Clay. This
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: will be interesting. As we've been reporting all morning, there
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: is some movement in the Meyrill race. There has been
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: a shift of votes towards Cuomo. Again, we got all
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: these junkie polls for this. Nobody's spent the money for
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: a serious, serious poll from a top polster. So we
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: don't know sure, but we'll see there is movement towards Cuomo.
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: He's picking up a little steam. We'll see if it's enough,
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: if there's an enormous turnout, if it gets to two million,
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: which it hasn't in a million years, then the Cuoma's
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: got a shot, So we'll we'll see. Hey, don't forget Sunday. Actually,
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: Saturday night we go off daylight saving time. Saturday overnight
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: we go off daylight saving time, so Sunday will be
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: the first day where it's standard time and it'll get
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: dark out like at five point fifteen five point thirty.
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: That's going to be really annoying on Sunday. Hey, Sunday's
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: also marathon day, so don't even think of driving into Manhattan.
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: It'll be traffic nightmare all over. The marathon is in
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: all five burroughs. Hey, we're out of time. I'm here
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: every day ten to noon or listen anytime, get the podcast,
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: but I'll be back tomorrow at ten I'll talk to
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: you then on seven to ten wo
