- 0:12Speaker 3: Good morning morning, Brian, Good morning, Good morning, ra ac Arena.
- 0:16Speaker 3: That's probably one of your more memorable venues that you've
- 0:19Speaker 3: ever played around the world.
- 0:20Speaker 4: Now, that's one of my favorite places.
- 0:23Speaker 3: It's when you turned up for a gig and didn't
- 0:25Speaker 3: have to sing a note.
- 0:26Speaker 4: I know, it was awful.
- 0:28Speaker 1: It was awful.
- 0:29Speaker 2: It was awful for everyone. We are, of course referring
- 0:32Speaker 2: to the fat Burg. I mean that alone just sounds ridiculous,
- 0:37Speaker 2: doesn't it. But the last show there you did have
- 0:39Speaker 2: to cancel because of a fat Burg, which.
- 0:42Speaker 4: Is I didn't cancel. I just couldn't. I just couldn't play. No,
- 0:47Speaker 4: they were right. They wouldn't let the they wouldn't let
- 0:49Speaker 4: the people in. That's so no I was stood backstairs,
- 0:55Speaker 4: gonna let him in, Me let him in.
- 0:57Speaker 1: It's just a bit of a burg of fashion, you know.
- 1:00Speaker 3: It was just a case of just make sure all
- 1:02Speaker 3: thirteen thousand of them, of them, you know, went before
- 1:05Speaker 3: they came here. Because they're not going to be able
- 1:07Speaker 3: to use the facilities during the gig.
- 1:09Speaker 4: Yeah, well, I hope they got the ship together.
- 1:12Speaker 3: Well, the Water Corporation apparently have said yes, and I
- 1:16Speaker 3: think they're double checking it. They will double check it
- 1:19Speaker 3: before you hit the stage. Everything.
- 1:22Speaker 5: The good news is we're coming back. Yeah, and we're
- 1:24Speaker 5: you know, we're going to do it and they better
- 1:27Speaker 5: not tell me.
- 1:27Speaker 4: No.
- 1:28Speaker 1: Well Water Corp.
- 1:29Speaker 2: Which is our state owned a wastewater utility, is pledged
- 1:32Speaker 2: that everything will be okay and in working order.
- 1:35Speaker 4: What a joke.
- 1:37Speaker 3: That's what we all thought too.
- 1:39Speaker 1: It's not how we really intended to.
- 1:41Speaker 4: Put on the mouth. And let me tell you, let
- 1:42Speaker 4: me tell you a bit of news.
- 1:43Speaker 5: Also, we asked, we asked the band that was on
- 1:47Speaker 5: that they had like five six days booked in that
- 1:50Speaker 5: place afterwards.
- 1:51Speaker 3: Oh that's right.
- 1:52Speaker 4: Yeah, we begged them to give us one day and
- 1:56Speaker 4: they wouldn't do it. Oh really, they would know it
- 1:59Speaker 4: was Kylie man.
- 2:01Speaker 3: Oh god, but the Battle of Brian and Kylie wouldn't.
- 2:06Speaker 4: They wouldn't give us. They would not give us what
- 2:08Speaker 4: and they were just rehearsing.
- 2:10Speaker 1: She's only little. You could have taken Kylie.
- 2:15Speaker 3: Yet it's always the people, Brian.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Well you're coming back.
- 2:19Speaker 3: Let's look let's look to the future now, Yes, next February.
- 2:22Speaker 5: Yep, rolling with the punches, and that's exactly what we're
- 2:25Speaker 5: doing this time too.
- 2:26Speaker 2: Yes, it's named after your Your latest album, isn't what?
- 2:30Speaker 2: This is your sixteenth studio album.
- 2:32Speaker 4: I've lost track.
- 2:33Speaker 1: Yeah you would.
- 2:35Speaker 3: It's just in the collection there and and it's quite
- 2:37Speaker 3: a long, quite a long list.
- 2:39Speaker 1: I go count them now, Well, where do you just
- 2:43Speaker 1: where do you keep drawing the inspiration from? That's a
- 2:45Speaker 1: lot of albums, the.
- 2:47Speaker 5: Perhaps not turning off there, the you know, the songs
- 2:50Speaker 5: coming out all the time. I actually have another album
- 2:53Speaker 5: coming out in November.
- 2:54Speaker 3: Right, jeez, you don't stop.
- 2:57Speaker 4: Well, I can't help it.
- 2:58Speaker 5: Good.
- 2:58Speaker 3: That's a good place. It's a good place to be
- 3:01Speaker 3: in because now you wrote every song on that album,
- 3:03Speaker 3: didn't you. I always write all my songs. But in
- 3:06Speaker 3: the past, you've you've teamed up with you made Jim Valance.
- 3:10Speaker 4: Yeah, Jim and I got back und years.
- 3:12Speaker 3: Yeah, absolutely, we had.
- 3:14Speaker 4: We had we had a great uh. We had a
- 3:16Speaker 4: basic virtual drink over the phone today because our song
- 3:20Speaker 4: Heaven't just went over a billion.
- 3:25Speaker 5: A billion Spotify.
- 3:26Speaker 3: You're in the club.
- 3:28Speaker 4: You know what's funny about that is that we wrote
- 3:30Speaker 4: that song.
- 3:31Speaker 5: I wrote it when I was twenty three, you know,
- 3:34Speaker 5: And so that's I don't know how long Spotify has
- 3:36Speaker 5: been around, but it's not that long.
- 3:38Speaker 1: No, it's certainly not that long.
- 3:39Speaker 3: And now that you're in the billion club, you're one
- 3:42Speaker 3: of the few there that's actually making money off a song.
- 3:45Speaker 4: I don't think so.
- 3:46Speaker 3: No, not even a billion.
- 3:48Speaker 4: You know what a billion? Time zero is still.
- 3:53Speaker 2: Natalie and Brulier is joining you on the tour our
- 3:57Speaker 2: own Natalie of you.
- 3:58Speaker 1: Do you know Natalie? Well, you work with her before.
- 4:01Speaker 4: I know Natalie. I don't know her.
- 4:03Speaker 2: Well, yeah, all your friends are getting married? Actually mel
- 4:06Speaker 2: C on the weekend got married. And what about Taylor Swift?
- 4:09Speaker 2: We know you're friends with Taylor. Did you did you
- 4:12Speaker 2: get an invitation to the big wedding?
- 4:14Speaker 5: Were you there?
- 4:15Speaker 4: I did get an invitation? Yeah, yeah, it's really sweet.
- 4:19Speaker 1: Did you go?

- 4:26Speaker 4: I'm a working musician.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Yeah, yes, this man never stops.
- 4:30Speaker 4: No.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Well, if you've got a seventeenth album coming out, no,
- 4:32Speaker 2: I'm not surprised that there's no time for.
- 4:35Speaker 4: Swift after this conversation. Love it.
- 4:38Speaker 3: Brian's more than forty years of hits. That's a lot
- 4:41Speaker 3: of stuff to be playing on stage. And obviously you're
- 4:43Speaker 3: going to be featuring the latest album on stage. But
- 4:46Speaker 3: you know, all all all.
- 4:48Speaker 4: Hits are sixteen albums live.
- 4:51Speaker 1: I mean, there's so much to choose from. It must
- 4:54Speaker 1: be tough to you know, when you decide your request.
- 4:57Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, okay, we request no fact bergs. That's the
- 5:02Speaker 2: only request we've got really for the show on February

- 5:19Speaker 3: Everyone knows you're off the hook. Mate, It's okay. We
- 5:22Speaker 3: know we're not blaming you. There's some bureaucrats look after
- 5:26Speaker 3: the plumbing. They're the ones everyone's angry at.
