- 0:24I'm your host. Several marks, my Co host Jabba
- 0:26Chamberlain, Speedy PD executive producer, Mr. Aaron Fish,
- 0:31Fishman, our other guest as always in a part of the show,
- 0:35Mr. Nick the Man Goody or Woody Goody or whatever you want to
- 0:39call them. Our producer, the one and only
- 0:42Mr. Tommy poops as he's letting one go as we speak right now and
- 0:47he's sitting right there at the desk.
- 0:49And now, ladies and gentlemen. Before.
- 0:51No, he's, he's here. I'm just messing around with
- 0:53him. I just want to give a shout out
- 0:55to there was a something announced and Jalen Hertz is
- 1:00expecting his first baby. So congratulations to the Hertz
- 1:03family, him and his fiance, Mrs. Burrow, who's going to be Mrs.
- 1:09Hertz very soon. Congratulations to the Hertz
- 1:11family on his upcoming babies. So good for him.
- 1:15Congratulations to him. The Dodgers took two out of
- 1:18three games against the Yankees this weekend in their first
- 1:22series since the World Series last year.
- 1:25Aaron Judge hit his 21st home run of the season Friday night.
- 1:29Ohtani hit two in that game to give him 22 for the year.
- 1:35The Dodgers blew out the Yankees 18 to 2 on in Saturday's game,
- 1:39including two home runs and seven RBIs by Mr. Max Muncie.
- 1:44The Yankees avoided the sweep with A73 win on Sunday's game.
- 1:49In Sunday's game, led by DJ Lemayu who hit who had four hits
- 1:54and two RB is in the game. The Yankees are one of three
- 1:57teams, along with the Reds and the Mets that haven't been swept
- 2:01this season. Both the Yankees and the Dodgers
- 2:05now have 36 wins following this series, tied for the third best
- 2:11record in baseball. First of all, the he's looked
- 2:15horrible in in game #2 against the Dodgers, they were
- 2:19absolutely putrid. The pitching was horrible and
- 2:23Max Free had his first loss on Friday.
- 2:27So it didn't look good and I'm not taking shots at Max it.
- 2:30Wasn't because he pitched bad? No, but he gave up six earned
- 2:33runs in that game. So I again, going back to
- 2:38looking at what the Dodgers have done to the Yankees over the
- 2:41last two years, it doesn't look good.
- 2:43Now hopefully if they meet up in the World Series again, the
- 2:47Yankees will have a a better chance of winning.
- 2:49Rondon is Rondon has played fantastic all season.
- 2:53I think his ERA is 2.67. He's been sensational with Max
- 2:58Freed with his ERA at 1.97. I mean, they've been a good 1-2
- 3:02punch. Could you imagine if Garrett
- 3:04Cole was a part of this rotation?
- 3:06This would be the best rotation in baseball.
- 3:08You can't even argue that, but the Yankees Aaron Judge if Aaron
- 3:12Judge doesn't hit this team has had a lack of offense.
- 3:16Now, John Carlo, obviously should this this team when he
- 3:20actually heats up and he gets fully back into this lineup, but
- 3:23hopefully this lineup looks a little bit better.
- 3:25And Bellinger was on a what, a 1413 game hitting streak.
- 3:30Maybe he his back comes alive. But Goldschmidt has been
- 3:33sensational. But against the Dodgers, they've
- 3:36just they can't hit against them.
- 3:38And again, you're going to have to show up against Yamamoto like
- 3:42they did on Sunday. If they do that and Otani should
- 3:46be back on the mound in the second-half of the season,
- 3:48you're going to have to contend with that as well.
- 3:50So I do believe the Yankees are better than they were this past
- 3:55weekend. But you don't you don't go out
- 3:57against the Dodgers and give up 18 runs.
- 3:59That was embarrassing. I know it was in LA, but it's
- 4:02embarrassing when you don't show up in the in a game where and in
- 4:06a series that you expect the Yankees to remember what
- 4:09happened last year, especially in game one when they were up
- 4:12six to five going into 9th inning and a bad blunder
- 4:16deciding to bring in Nestor Cortez, which cost them really
- 4:19the series. Because maybe if the Yankees win
- 4:21that game, they're up 1 nothing and they win Game 2, they're up
- 4:24to nothing. Maybe it's a different series,
- 4:26but the Dodgers are the best all around team in baseball when
- 4:29healthy. They didn't have Mookie Betts.
- 4:32When Mookie Betts gets healthy, the Yankees are going to have to
- 4:34contend with that, but the Dodgers are going to pick up
- 4:37their pick up the slack. They were never going to be as
- 4:40bad as they were in the beginning of the season.
- 4:42This is too good of a lineup. Freddie Friedman is one of the
- 4:44best players in baseball when he's 100% healthy and they have
- 4:48a tremendous lineup. Just think about this, they have
- 4:523 MVP's when healthy in their lineup.
- 4:56They have Mookie Betts, they have Friedman and they have
- 5:00Otani. Just think about that.
- 5:02The Yankees do too. If you really look at it, they
- 5:04do too Goldschmidt, Giancarlo and Aaron Judge.
- 5:08But I think obviously the better three and the better duo or the
- 5:12trio, I would go with the Dodgers because Mookie Betts you
- 5:17can argue is one of the top five best players in the league.
- 5:19Freeman you can argue when healthy he's a top ten player
- 5:22and then Otan. Belkin, he won an MVP.
- 5:25Yeah, yes. He did.
- 5:27Yeah, he did. But I also look at Belcher.
- 5:30It's consistency, and Bellinger did win an MVP, but nobody even
- 5:33remembers. Winning and I think also I also
- 5:36look look at the stats too, like if Yelich doesn't get hurt, he
- 5:39probably wins the MVP. Like I think he got hurt in the
- 5:41last month of the season. I just I think.
- 5:44Obviously. I think obviously the Yankees
- 5:47lineup is very important this year and they're going to have
- 5:50to show up against these teams, especially against the Dodgers,
- 5:53if they expect to win. I think they have more depth.
- 5:55Definitely losing. Wan Soda, Wan Soda's doing
- 5:58nothing right now with the Mets. I know everybody's going to say,
- 6:00what do you mean? He has ten home runs, but he's
- 6:01at batting 233. I already had a double play
- 6:04tonight. Yeah, he's batting 233.
- 6:06The Yankees aren't missing. And when they added Max Free and
- 6:08they have Goldschmidt, who's batting 340-4340 right now.
- 6:12And then Bellinger at one point, you know, was batting 197 and
- 6:16now he's batting in the 250. So I think if Bellinger brings
- 6:20up his batting average to 270, this line up could be very
- 6:23potent. And and we haven't seen this
- 6:25line up at a full strength. We have the jism man who hasn't
- 6:29been 100% healthy. Giancarlo has really not been in
- 6:32this line up. So we'll see what this line up
- 6:35is going to be at full strength. And by the way, the Yankees
- 6:37bullpen has been one of the more underrated bullpens in all of
- 6:40baseball. And Devin Williams is actually
- 6:43back. He's actually shown up over the
- 6:46last couple weeks and pitch very well in this in in this bullpen.
- 6:49So if Devin Williams is at full strength in this bullpen, plays
- 6:53on all cylinders and and obviously doesn't die down in
- 6:56the second-half like we've seen many Aaron Boone bullpens have
- 7:00done over the last couple of years, I I think the Yankees
- 7:03could be a very dangerous team in the playoffs.
- 7:05Yeah. The difference I think with this
- 7:07bullpen, though, it's younger. Like a lot of the times it was
- 7:09the veterans that died out and they either got hurt or they
- 7:11just got too worn down. But now they have younger
- 7:13pitchers they can use in those roles too.
- 7:15Weaver's been unbelievable. Yeah, Weaver's been very good.
- 7:18Clark Schmidt, when he's healthy, he's been.
- 7:19Going out now. Yeah, we've heard about a month
- 7:21and 1/2. Yeah.
- 7:22Oh, wow. Oh.
- 7:22That doesn't matter. I, I, we need him for the
- 7:25playoffs, right? We need him for the playoffs
- 7:26and. That's where it looks like the
- 7:27organizational deaths a little better.
- 7:29We're fine. And I think the hitting wise
- 7:30too, it's the same kind of thing like the Yankees were always
- 7:32just that are top heavy. Now they have the assets both
- 7:34with the veterans like you were saying, Goldschmidt and
- 7:36Bellinger and the youngsters, Wells hitting at certain points,
- 7:38Ben Rights at the beginning of the season at certain points
- 7:40too. So it's just a difference.
- 7:41But the Dodgers still have the model right now and it's
- 7:43showing. I think they have 11 pitchers
- 7:44hurt and they're still not missing a beat.
- 7:47Can I give you some Dodgers injuries?
- 7:49Because you're talking about the Yankees, not.
- 7:51Like I said, I think they have 11 pitchers hurt or something
- 7:53like that. It's way worse for the Dodgers.
- 7:55I predicted this to happen. I predicted this to happen.
- 7:58So Mookie Betts has a broken ring toe on his left foot, so
- 8:02it's just a pain. Tolerance from all the bowling
- 8:04he does. Well, whatever it is, is the tip
- 8:08of his ring toe, so. You can't do anything for that,
- 8:10by the way. There's nothing you can do
- 8:12besides you just have to let it heal.
- 8:13It just hurts and you just gotta deal with it.
- 8:16Glass now as you and we all knew he was going to be on and off
- 8:19the aisle this year. Blake Snell hasn't really done
- 8:22anything yet this year. He should.
- 8:24He's starting to throw right now.
- 8:26He had a set back. Not everybody remembers.
- 8:28Michael Kopech is on the Dodge and Kopech and he should be back
- 8:33this week. So that's another guy that I've
- 8:36seen touched in the high 90s that they'll get.
- 8:38Kirby Yates should be back at the end of the week as well.
- 8:42So that's another high end reliever.
- 8:44They lost Sheehan, they lost some other guys I haven't really
- 8:49heard of. Obviously Rokie Sasaki went down
- 8:53and what he didn't pan out this year is probably not going to be
- 8:56much of a thing for this year. Trying and still in their pen.
- 8:59They, you know, he's starting up a progression.
- 9:02They are gradual. He might come back later in this
- 9:06like a late season. These are names, like real,
- 9:10legit names that they just aren't even playing yet because
- 9:14they have so much money and so much death because of the money,
- 9:17they built A-Team to last. So even though these guys are
- 9:21out, they're still the best team in the league.
- 9:23I will say this, they are DJ Lemay, who plays a big part in
- 9:27this lineup for the Yankees. If he comes back even half at
- 9:31full strength and he plays and he's healthy, he adds a third
- 9:35base glove that the Yankees have been missing and he gives you a
- 9:38switch hitting, you know, a guy that on, as far as I'm
- 9:42concerned, could play a big part.
- 9:44This is a guy that won a batting title in the National League, in
- 9:47the American League. How many players have done that
- 9:48before? So this is a guy, I'm not saying
- 9:51that we need the old DJ Lemayu that wins batting titles.
- 9:54You just need him to be a 27276 hitter if he gives you that.
- 9:59I mean, the Yankees, their lineup is potent.
- 10:02It it could be really, really potent.
- 10:04DJ Lemayu was lost a loss all season last year, practically up
- 10:08and down. And even in the playoffs, where
- 10:11was DJ Lemayu wasn't even, it didn't even play in the
- 10:13playoffs. So they need DJ Lemayu to stay
- 10:16healthy. If he could stay healthy this
- 10:18line up from top to bottom. Jabba, you've been saying this
- 10:21over and over and over again. Remember when we we started this
- 10:24and we, we started doing like a little podcast show after, you
- 10:28know, during the playoffs, what did we talk about?
- 10:30The reason why the Yankees we're going to have a problem with
- 10:32winning against, you know, maybe the Dodgers or whoever comes out
- 10:35of the the National League is they don't have a potent line up
- 10:39from 1:00 to 9:00. Now you you get rid of soda when
- 10:41you add Bellinger, you have a healthy DJ Lemayo, Giancarlo
- 10:45Stanton, and then you have Goldschmidt.
- 10:48This is a potent from this is a potent lineup from 1:00 to 9:00.
- 10:51This is a different team than the Yankees were last year.
- 10:54Yeah, I think it's it's different in a way where there's
- 10:59a little bit more diversity in the fact of they can do a lot of
- 11:04different things. They're not going to rely on one
- 11:07certain thing. Obviously we've seen what
- 11:08Stanton can do in the playoffs and you know, and that's that's
- 11:11why I'm not like too worried about him getting back anytime
- 11:15soon because because he's proven what he can do in the playoffs.
- 11:19I think with Lemahieu, I think it's I, I think you're 100%
- 11:23we're not going to get the the batting title winner.
- 11:25We're not. And and that's OK because Father
- 11:28Time wins everything, as we've said on the show before.
- 11:31But if we can get half to 3/4, I mean, he's still, he brings
- 11:36great value to what they are and what I love too about things
- 11:43that they have done and and where I'm I don't like.
- 11:46Obviously they're, you know, they're the same record as the
- 11:49Dodgers right now. And nobody would have thought
- 11:52the Tigers would have the best record in baseball right now.
- 11:54Nobody would have thought that here as we sit in the beginning
- 11:57of June. But being able to have those
- 12:01guys and then bring them back at at at some point it it it's kind
- 12:06of like you get a free agent. I would like them to see them do
- 12:10something at the the deadline. I don't know what they're going
- 12:14to do or what they're willing to give up.
- 12:16We'll have to have, you know, Brian, come back on and give us
- 12:20a little insight on that once we get closer to the deadline.
- 12:23But I think with this line up it it it has guys that have won
- 12:27before and know how to win. And they may have had off years,
- 12:32but they know how to win. They've been in the situation
- 12:34before and as you know, in a clubhouse, you know, like when
- 12:40guys don't panic because it's like, we're going to go through
- 12:43a bad stretch maybe. But if you have guys that know
- 12:46how to win and know how to just like, hey, you know what?
- 12:50It's not a Sprint, it's a marathon.
- 12:53And I think that's really how this lineup got even better.
- 12:58Mind you, losing a Soto is is you're losing a Soto?
- 13:00Yeah. You're looking at his year and
- 13:02seeing what he's sitting. Yes, but it still sucks to lose
- 13:05a Cal. Bellinger is having a better
- 13:06year than Soto is right now. Oh, I know, I know.
- 13:09But I'm, I'm not saying that it's, it's a bad thing that we
- 13:12have Cody, but it's also, you know what we do.
- 13:16And we didn't lose anything from the maturation side.
- 13:19Think about this. Soto has 1/2 as a young guy, but
- 13:23still has belly. But Belly also grew up around
- 13:26the game and knows what it takes and knows that there's no panic
- 13:30because his dad. Played for the Yankee.
- 13:32And I don't ever give cash credit because I wouldn't piss
- 13:36on him if he was on fire. Well, that's a good line.
- 13:39But but I think I think he did a great job of bringing the right
- 13:44guys in that have the mentality of how to win and not panic and
- 13:49not like take it too much into their own Dome.
- 13:53Be like, well, if we don't win, we don't win.
- 13:54Well, no, we don't have to win right now.
- 13:57Let's just be the last one standing.
- 13:59And I think he brought really, really, really good guys in that
- 14:02understand that mentality, why I think this team is better and
- 14:06even without our best pitcher. But yes, did we bring in a guy?
- 14:09But have we seen what Max Freed has done in the playoffs too?
- 14:12So it's going to be kind of up for debate, but.
- 14:15He's also, I love that he's also had problems against the
- 14:18Dodgers. If you look at Max Freed, his
- 14:21his record against the Dodgers, it's not good.
- 14:23And he's actually the Dodgers have been his kryptonite, so.
- 14:27Evan the Phillies. Yeah, he's been there.
- 14:29His kryptonite, so. Yeah, yeah, they do have a good
- 14:34they they have a good mix of veterans and younger players.
- 14:37I'm just looking at their roster.
- 14:38Carrasco veteran, Freed veteran, Hamilton probably in that, what,
- 14:433 to 4 range. Mark Leiter, junior, veteran,
- 14:45Luaisiga veteran, Rhodon veteran, Smitty.
- 14:48Well, Warren, young guy Devin Williams, they brought him in
- 14:51veteran back into the pen. Obviously struggled a lot this
- 14:55year, but I seem to be has gotten better.
- 14:59Their catchers get worse. Yeah.
- 15:01Well, yeah. I mean, well, geez, can always
- 15:04get worse. I don't think so.
- 15:07I think his ERA was at 9 before he lost his job.
- 15:10It was bad. No, it was 11 it.
- 15:12Really was I? I thought it, I thought it was
- 15:14at 9:00 so. It's all samples you only get in
- 15:17the first month of the season. Goldschmidt veteran, Lemayu
- 15:20veteran. Peraza young guy, still has got
- 15:23some time. Ben Rice young guy, Yorbit Vivas
- 15:26young guy, Volpi still young, still trying to get his bearings
- 15:30in the big leagues, right. Bellinger veteran, Dominguez
- 15:34young guy. It's a good mix.
- 15:36Obviously Judge veteran if you have a very good mix.
- 15:40And I think the best teams in baseball are the teams that can
- 15:42mix older guys, 35 year olds, 33 year olds, guys who are ancient
- 15:48and pair them with younger guys that are coming up and it gives
- 15:51a good, I don't know, role model or it's a good visual to see, as
- 15:58you're saying, Jabba, like, all right, shit, we just lost the
- 16:01series. We got swept, whatever.
- 16:02And you, you know, some of the younger guys like, how am I
- 16:04going to get sent out? Am I going to get option da da
- 16:06da da. And you see the veterans just
- 16:08even kill the entire time because they know like, all
- 16:11right, we lost the series. So what?
- 16:12We'll make it up on the back end and we'll pick it up here and
- 16:14there. And some of the best teams that
- 16:16I've been on have been just like that.
- 16:18And they're the most fun, too, because you're rubbing elbows
- 16:21with guys who have been in the show for 8 to 10 years.
- 16:24You guys that I grew up watching and now I'm getting to watch
- 16:27them on the field and off the field and calling my teammates.
- 16:31And it's just, it's just a really, it's a really good
- 16:34atmosphere. And On the contrary, you could
- 16:36be like the Rockies and be what, 10 and 50?
- 16:40They just they just got the double digit wins, dog.
- 16:42There you go. Finally surpassed the Broncos
- 16:44win total. What a joke of an organization.
- 16:46They have been, my point being they're just all young so they
- 16:49don't know how to handle failure.
- 16:52Now with that being said, later on in those career in their
- 16:56career for those guys pan out and they have decent careers,
- 16:59they'll know how to handle failure.
- 17:01So. I don't know how many of those
- 17:03guys are panning out in that Colorado team, but that's a
- 17:06whole. Nother how many first round
- 17:07draft picks do they have in that lineup?
- 17:09I mean seriously, it's it's horrible to watch.
- 17:12They're really bad. They're.
- 17:14Really, really bad. They were depending on like they
- 17:17thought were breaking out this year.
- 17:19This Michael Toglia, they had to send him down to AAA.
- 17:22He was a first baseman. Didn't work.
- 17:25Ryan McMahon, supposed to be their All Star.
- 17:26He's still batting 200, doing nothing.
- 17:29They've they've got nothing going on.
- 17:31Is it? Probably Tovar is their most
- 17:33consistent player? It was shortstop, right?
- 17:35Yeah, the shortstop. Probably their most consistent.
- 17:38Hitter well, at the same time they paid they paid all that
- 17:40money for Chris Brown and I it sucks because I know Chris isn't
- 17:44trying to be hurt and doing all that stuff, but you know, you
- 17:48give him all that money and then it just I mean, he hasn't even
- 17:51played 100 games in the career that he's been with the Rockies
- 17:53and it sucks because it's not like he's trying to get hurt.
- 17:57It's not like he's and honestly, I don't know, Anthony Rendon and
- 18:01so I may be speaking out of my ass on this one, but it just
- 18:05doesn't feel like he wants pulled it out of my ass.
- 18:08And I know Chris Bryant's been trying like, you know, he was
- 18:11rehabbing in AAA trying to do all this stuff.
- 18:13It just when you get to that point, like as as Goody was
- 18:17saying, those are the most fun teams because it's like, yeah,
- 18:20I've been on teams that suck and I know how to handle the
- 18:23failure. And it it makes it fun when you
- 18:25when you get to get some older guys in and you know, I remember
- 18:29when Ichiro came over and I got to ask him, I go, I hated facing
- 18:33you sucked Like it was terrible because they don't strike out.
- 18:38It's going to be a long ass at bat.
- 18:40I'm like, OK, let me just throw the kitchen sink at you.
- 18:43And so when you get those guys like that, and I think that's.
- 18:47But why are the Dodgers so great too in the same aspect?
- 18:50They have a great manager, first and foremost.
- 18:53He knows how to manage the team, but he's also, I hate him, a
- 18:58player's manager. He's so bad where he lets those
- 19:00guys manage the team. I hate him.
- 19:04Oh my God, I absolutely despise him.
- 19:07I remember as a Boston Red Sox, I remember he was the, he was
- 19:11the guy that stole that base that really cost the Yankees
- 19:14that series. I mean, he, he, I couldn't stand
- 19:17him as a player and I can't stand him as a manager.
- 19:20So I, I anybody can manage that team, you can manage that team,
- 19:27Goody can manage that team, Speedy can manage.
- 19:29Goody's holding out for the Reds job.
- 19:30I mean any it's listen, I, I, I'm sorry.
- 19:34And as much as everybody wants to give them all the.
- 19:37You're talking about, are you talking about managing the team
- 19:40as far as because they have talent, Like there's more that
- 19:43goes into managing. I'm I'm.
- 19:45Sure team than just the numbers. I'm sure.
- 19:48But you have the executives, you have your, you have all.
- 19:51What do they call them? The The analytics department,
- 19:56they have all these guys that are like probably economic
- 19:58majors that'll give you the mathematical equation or what,
- 20:02what to throw at every single pitch in every single inning.
- 20:05All the MIT guys, according to Fish.
- 20:07It's ridiculous. It's absolutely ridiculous.
- 20:10Before we move on to dial it up, it just occurred to me that
- 20:13Anthony Rendon is the real life Roger Dorn.
- 20:17From Major League. Love that movie by the way.
- 20:19Does not want to get himself hurt, doesn't want to get dirty
- 20:22anymore. That obviously in the movie
- 20:25comes around to an extent, right?
- 20:27And then I realized as I was writing out Roger Dorn on my
- 20:30paper, that if you rearrange the letters, you can spell Rendon.
- 20:34Yeah. From Roger, I will say this,
- 20:36Roger Dorn's wife in the movie, she's got a mean body.
- 20:41She's got a mean body movie. Man, one of the best.
- 20:44Movies she looks she looked good.
- 20:46It's her revenge on Roger. She looked good in the 80s.
- 20:48That's all I'm going to say about that.
- 20:49That's a long. Time ago.
- 20:53Nice piece of ass anyways. Holy shit Dorn.
- 20:56I know Goodie can't say it, but I know he's looking at ass.
- 20:59Anyways. We call this Dial it Up.
- 21:03This regular. Scheduled.
- 21:04Hot Mix To bring you important news, we got a.
- 21:07Big broadcast to do. Here, we're about to dial it up.
- 21:13Welcome to Dial It Up everybody. This is our Lightning Round
- 21:17segment where Errol gets a bunch of stories he hasn't seen and
- 21:20has to do a Lightning Round take on it tonight.
- 21:24We start with the final episode of Inside the NBA on TNT.
- 21:30Yes, with the Knicks loss to the Pacers, that is the last
- 21:34broadcast of the year, end of all time for the TNT version, at
- 21:38least of Inside the NBA. If you don't know the show, it's
- 21:43the one with Shaq, Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith and Ernie
- 21:47Johnson. Ernie Johnson has actually been
- 21:49hosting the show since 1990, which is before these guys were
- 21:53on it. Kenny joined the 98, Barkley in
- 21:552000 and Shaq more recently, still 14 years ago.
- 21:58In 2011, TNT gave up the media rights to the NBA, which is why
- 22:03the the show is moving. ESPN is not stupid.
- 22:06They are going to try to continue the show with the same
- 22:09four guys, at least to start Errol.
- 22:14Dial it up. It's pretty fair that these four
- 22:17guys are sensational together. But I expect Stephen A Smith to
- 22:20be a part of this. I expect Kendrick Perkins to be
- 22:23a part of it. I expect all those clowns to be
- 22:26a part of this show. It's going to ruin the show.
- 22:29They have a great fabric of of talent on the show as it as it
- 22:34is. Is it they're together for over
- 22:36all these years. Shaquille O'Neal actually joined
- 22:38the show, but it was really Charles Barkley and Kenny and
- 22:42Ernie Johnson. They were sensational and N
- 22:44hated Shaq. The personality that he is and
- 22:47and what he brings to the table. It just gives a different
- 22:50dynamic to the show. It's a shame that TNT couldn't
- 22:53hold on to it. And honestly, when you look at
- 22:55the game as a whole and the NBA and what TNT brings to the NBA,
- 23:00it's so much, it's better than ESPN.
- 23:01Watching it on ESPN is pathetic. And I even watching on ABC,
- 23:06which is owned by ESPN, it's horrible.
- 23:08I just, I like the way they produce and they bring the
- 23:13product to the forefront on TNT. It's horrible to it's horrible
- 23:17that Turner TV took it away. And I think Turner TV should
- 23:20have fixed this or and try to renegotiate the deal.
- 23:23But the NBA did not want to be on TNT anymore.
- 23:26They wanted it all on ESPN. It figures.
- 23:30You know the I'll say this again, LeBron James Association
- 23:34has been like this for a long, long time.
- 23:36And now LeBron got what he wanted on ESPN.
- 23:38So good for him. Congratulations.
- 23:40I'm 100% there on it looking at this entire panel, this entire
- 23:45crew on for as long as I've been watching basketball for there's
- 23:48nothing more entertaining than watching these four honestly,
- 23:51not even barely talk about basketball, but when they
- 23:53honestly did talk about basketball, very entertaining.
- 23:55But ESPN, it will not be the same on ESPN and not only for
- 23:59that fact, but it's also everybody also looks at ESPN as
- 24:02sort of a, well, it is owned as a Disney sort of owned piece of
- 24:07network. So it's honestly going to be
- 24:08very censored, very, I guess dumbed down in the sense that
- 24:11it's definitely not going to be the same.
- 24:12So it's really the end of an era because it's definitely not
- 24:15going to be the same NBA on TNC or the inside the NBA that I
- 24:20grew up watching. So it's pretty heartbreaking it.
- 24:22Does feel like it's the type of show ESPN is going to screw up,
- 24:25that it feels like it to me. But we'll see.
- 24:27I hope it's still good as we move forwards with those guys.
- 24:31Shaq was my all time favorite non Nick.
- 24:33Let's move on to the next one. We're going to go to baseball
- 24:37and Lou Gehrig's day is today. So during last night's game,
- 24:44Carl Ravitch, who was calling the game for ESPN the back in
- 24:47the day, did Baseball Tonight forever and now he's doing the
- 24:49play by play was calling. The game took a break from the
- 24:52action to present a video package about Lou Gehrig and
- 24:55ALS, the disease more commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease.
- 24:58ESPN played a short video package during the broadcast
- 25:01featuring an AI voice of Sarah Lang's.
- 25:04A long time baseball statistician and reporter was
- 25:07afflicted with ALS. Lang's voice has been
- 25:09significantly impacted by the disease.
- 25:12So the AI was really the first time, you know, we've gotten to
- 25:15hear her voice the way it was in a long time, including her.
- 25:19She had a very touching, she was very touched on social media and
- 25:22shared it out to everyone. She stays relevant to the game
- 25:25with her continued contributions with some of the greatest stats.
- 25:28Sometimes I take them, I know Java.
- 25:29You reference them sometimes as well on social media while
- 25:33fighting. You know, literally the most
- 25:34uphill battle that there is, teams will wear.
- 25:37I mean, they must have been wearing it all night tonight.
- 25:39Red wristbands that say for ALS on them for support Errol.
- 25:45Dial it up. Oh my God, it's this is a
- 25:48horrible, horrible story, but it also brings such a light to what
- 25:52Lou Gehrig's disease is. It's a horrible disease, one of
- 25:55the worst diseases you could ever imagine to have, and it
- 25:59pretty much kills you. It takes everything away and
- 26:02it's a horrible story. But again, the what the MLB is
- 26:05doing for this young lady and what AI could could really
- 26:09change when it comes to the things that it can deliver in
- 26:12many different ways to a lot of sickly people.
- 26:15We've seen so many sick people over the last couple of years
- 26:18with so many different diseases and sicknesses and they can't
- 26:21speak. And now they have all different
- 26:22machines and things that they can bring to the forefront to
- 26:25help these sick, you know, sick and obviously unfamiliar,
- 26:31unfamiliar diseases to the forefront.
- 26:34It is a sad story, but Lou Gehrig is one of the greatest
- 26:37baseball players of all time. And he could have had a longer
- 26:40career. I mean, he could have played
- 26:42another 5-6, maybe even 7 years at the top of his game and
- 26:46probably would have broke more records.
- 26:49It's a shame because this disease came to the forefront
- 26:52and this guy is one of the one of the most sad speeches you'll
- 26:56ever see a New York Yankee. Has anybody seen the movie, the
- 26:59Lou Gehrig movie? I forget what it was called at
- 27:01It's a such a that movie. And in that speech was probably
- 27:05one of the greatest speeches in sports television, you know, TV
- 27:09or movie history. And it it really said a lot
- 27:12about who Lou Gehrig is and, and, and really how it really
- 27:16took his life. So it's a it's a sad story, but
- 27:20it brings it to light and and, you know, obviously what, you
- 27:23know, baseball is trying to do with the Lou Gehrig disease and
- 27:26try to help in many different ways.
- 27:28It's a good story as well, so. Pride of the Yankees is the
- 27:33movie. Pride of the Yankees, that's
- 27:34really. In 1942, that movie came out.
- 27:37Gary Cooper played. He looked just like Lou Gehrig
- 27:40too, by the way. Look just like Lou Gehrig.
- 27:44Yeah, No, you know what, I got a shout out to Sarah.
- 27:48She is an absolute monster, one of the best in the business.
- 27:53And shout out to you, Sarah. And, and we've obviously had our
- 27:57anything that I need, like when it comes to like research or
- 28:00something, if I need to sign something or figure something
- 28:03out, I holler at her and it'll be back with me in a couple
- 28:08minutes. And you know what she, she is a
- 28:11great aficionado for, for this terrible disease, but also in
- 28:16the way she looks at it and how she's approached it and how she
- 28:19still stays relevant and just so proud of her and always, always
- 28:23thinking about her and, and the things that she has done.
- 28:27And you know, it, it, it is crazy.
- 28:29You know, it became Lou Gehrig's disease.
- 28:30It's amyotrophic lateral sclerosis is what it really is.
- 28:34Don't ask me to say that. That's not going to be good for
- 28:36me. Yeah.
- 28:37Well, and it, it's, it's for me, my dad, you know, obviously, you
- 28:41know, getting epidemic and polio, like everything, like all
- 28:44these things are, are very, very important to me.
- 28:47And you know, when you, when you have these things and, and you
- 28:51see what it is. Lou Gehrig's The only exception
- 28:54they've ever made in the Hall of Fame.
- 28:56He didn't have to wait seven years because he wasn't going to
- 28:58get the opportunity because it was they didn't, they didn't
- 29:02have what they had right. And so it's I actually have a
- 29:07buddy of mine. He he got, he got it when he was
- 29:1030. And you know, he was my catch
- 29:14partner when I was playing and shout out, Scotty, love you,
- 29:18man. And so it's just, it's
- 29:22debilitating. It's crazy, but the one thing it
- 29:25doesn't get you, it doesn't get their mind.
- 29:28It takes their body, but it doesn't get their mind.
- 29:31And that's the coolest thing to be able to.
- 29:33We're going to have one of the greatest minds in baseball as as
- 29:35as what Sarah does and all the people you know, showing, you
- 29:40know, their forefront of it. And I just, I just saw a tweet
- 29:44with Mark Kotze from the the A's and how bug Shambi it is
- 29:50bringing it to the forefront. And, you know, it's, it's named
- 29:53after a baseball player. There's a lot of people that
- 29:55deal with it. And we, we've seen it in, in
- 29:58multiple facets of this sports world of people that have ALS.
- 30:01And, you know, the more that we can get to know about it.
- 30:04But at the same time, they're still here, they're still doing
- 30:08their thing. And, and you know what, I'm so
- 30:10damn proud to have Sarah's a colleague from the baseball side
- 30:15of it. And just for her to still be
- 30:17with us and, and share the moments that she is going to
- 30:20continue to share with us until she's she's going to, she's
- 30:23going to fight as hard as she can.
- 30:25And, and we know this if you know Sarah.
- 30:27And so it's just really cool to see.
- 30:30Yeah, so, you know, just one last time, shout out to Sarah
- 30:34Lang's. Isn't baseball just the best?
- 30:37All right, moving on to the next one.
- 30:40This is something Errol and I had a discussion about the other
- 30:44night, and we got to get into it.
- 30:46The NFL Hall of Fame debate in 2004, three great quarterbacks
- 30:52came into the league at the same draft, and we know who they are.
- 30:56It was Philip Rivers, Eli Manning and Big Ben
- 31:00Roethlisberger. So all three of them came in
- 31:03same year. They're all up for induction
- 31:05this year. Eli was up last year as we know
- 31:08did not get inducted even though he was a finalist.
- 31:12And the question is, are these other two going to get inducted
- 31:15as first ballot? Are they going to get inducted
- 31:17before Eli or at the same time Errol?
- 31:22Dial it up. If you look at Rivers, Rivers
- 31:27really has the best numbers out of both quarterbacks.
- 31:29All three quarterbacks. Now, Rivers never won a
- 31:32championship. Eli won two, Ben Roethlisberger
- 31:35won two. Ben won his first and he barely
- 31:38actually was even good. OK, now Ben actually has almost
- 31:42identical numbers as Phillip Rivers.
- 31:44But out of all three quarterbacks, Phillip Rivers has
- 31:47the best numbers. And, and again, I look at all
- 31:51three quarterbacks, they're all Hall of Famers.
- 31:53Eli didn't go in as a first ballot Hall of Famer.
- 31:55He'll go in this coming year. He deserves it.
- 31:58But I think Phillip Rivers is absolutely a first ballot Hall
- 32:01of Famer. Now you're going to go go back
- 32:02and forth with me and I know what you're going to say, Fish.
- 32:05He never won a championship and he played on great teams.
- 32:07As great as his teams were, none of those guys ever won a
- 32:11championship. When they left the team let
- 32:13Damian Thomason went to The Jets.
- 32:15He sucked. Gates was still there, and Gates
- 32:18wouldn't have been the same player he became if it wasn't
- 32:21for Phillip Rivers. Phillip Rivers never had a star
- 32:23wide receiver besides Antonio Gates.
- 32:26If you go back and you look at guys like Eli Manning, Eli
- 32:29Manning had a pretty good roster.
- 32:31I mean, they weren't. They were at least the wide
- 32:32receivers over there were better than what Philip Rivers had.
- 32:36And and again, Ben Roethlisberger had sensational
- 32:38Heinz Ward. I could go up and down some of
- 32:41the the good wide receivers he had.
- 32:43I just think when you look at statistically and you compare
- 32:46and contrast all three of these quarterbacks, I, I Philip Rivers
- 32:50is the best one out of all of them and the most accurate one
- 32:53out of all of them. And that's honestly it's by like
- 32:563% three. So see I think he was career 67%
- 33:01completion percentage. Eli my Manning was like 62.
- 33:04And I was 60.3. Phillip Rivers is 64.9.
- 33:07Yeah, so and and Phillip Rivers was to me the most accurate
- 33:11quarterback out of all three of them.
- 33:12He just was unlucky, played for the charges.
- 33:15And by the way, Eli Manning had a great coach.
- 33:18Tom Coughlin's one of the the most underrated coaches of all
- 33:21time, very successful. Then you go over Ben
- 33:23Roethlisberger. Coward is one of the more
- 33:26underrated coaches too, Another great coach.
- 33:29And then had Mike Tomlin a, a winning a winning coach for his
- 33:33whole career over there in Pittsburgh.
- 33:35Who did he have? Who did he have?
- 33:37A Marty Schottenheimer. The guy was a loser.
- 33:40OK, then you go over there to North Turner.
- 33:42Horrible. I don't care how great of an
- 33:44offensive coordinator he was, he wasn't a good coach.
- 33:47He was horrible everywhere he went.
- 33:49So stop. This guy is one of the most
- 33:52underrated quarterbacks and one of the greatest quarterbacks
- 33:56when you compare his numbers to all the great ones, top five in
- 33:59almost every single statistic. He is absolutely.
- 34:03And yes, Steve White, eat your heart out cuz you can owe me my
- 34:06stake Hall of Famer. He had Matthew Stafford over
- 34:10this guy. What are you nuts?
- 34:12You're on drugs. I don't want to hear about
- 34:14Matthew Stafford. This guy had 5000 yards three
- 34:19times, I think in his craft. I'm not mistaken.
- 34:21He's a sensational quarterback. Take it away, baby.
- 34:25That's all I'm going to say. Are you done being wrong?
- 34:28Yet no, I'm not. Because I got stats up here to
- 34:31back up my point. You're wrong, which is very
- 34:33simple wrong. Eli Manning was significantly
- 34:36better, better than Philip Rivers in the postseason.
- 34:38Why are you going to look at the two stops?
- 34:40Stop with the postseason. Rivers stop with the postseason
- 34:43great completion apprentice according to you actually only
- 34:46completed 50. 9 Why are you looking at the postseason?
- 34:49We're talking about the regular season Peyton Mail.
- 34:52Oh really? Peyton Manning was horrible and
- 34:55you said Peyton Manning is one of the greatest of all time.
- 34:57Stop. You said Peyton Manning is one
- 34:59of the greatest. Quarterbacks in the top.
- 35:00He was horrible. He was horrible.
- 35:02Stop with this garbage. My numbers are wrong.
- 35:05You're going to tell me Phillip Rivers doesn't have better
- 35:07numbers than Eli Manning and Ben Rothenberg?
- 35:10And regular season he does. He does.
- 35:12Stop with your calculator. The.
- 35:13Exact same numbers as. Rob Again and Ben played on a
- 35:17better team. Well, you seem to forget a lot
- 35:20about how great those teams were.
- 35:22I didn't realize Vincent, the late Vincent Jackson wasn't an
- 35:25All Pro receiver. I didn't realize that Keenan
- 35:27Allen, who's like 35 and still playing, wasn't an All Pro
- 35:30receiver. Who made him an All Pro
- 35:32receiver? Who made him an All Pro Receiver
- 35:35receiver? Who made him an All Pro
- 35:36Receiver? Errol, He had two stud
- 35:38receivers. Who made him?
- 35:40Running back when? Hall of Fame when?
- 35:41Jackson left. When Jackson left when Jackson
- 35:45left, what did he do? What did he do?
- 35:47What did he do? Tampa was good.
- 35:49What did he do? Yeah, he went to Tampa.
- 35:50He was good. No, he wasn't.
- 35:52He was the second tier wide receiver.
- 35:53No, he wasn't. Stop with this garbage.
- 35:56You're going to sit here and honestly argue with him?
- 35:58Stop fish. You're so you're not, obviously.
- 36:02I don't know how you can write off the fact that Rivers was bad
- 36:05in the postseason. So is Peyton.
- 36:07Manning bad his numbers. So is Peyton.
- 36:09Manning look at his quarterback rating.
- 36:10It drops 10. Ben Roethlisberger wasn't really
- 36:13good in the four points. Ben Roethlisberger was worse
- 36:17than both of them in the playoffs.
- 36:19If you look at the overall numbers, look at Ben. 36
- 36:21touchdowns, 28 picks. He also was sacked twice as many
- 36:25times as both Eli and Rivers. But Eli, in case you don't
- 36:29remember. Kiss his ass 2.
- 36:31Super Bowl MVP? Good for him 2.
- 36:33For him, Super Bowl MVPS, how many does Phillip?
- 36:35And an elite defense. Phillip Rivers never had an
- 36:38elite defense like that. OK, give me a break.
- 36:41Stop with this the. Giants were not.
- 36:43Elite. They were elites.
- 36:45Early pass rush, but they weren't ranked that high,
- 36:48especially in 2011. In the defense wasn't that high.
- 36:53In the playoffs, in the playoffs, you're going to tell
- 36:55me. So you're going to tell me right
- 36:57now. You're going to tell me right
- 36:58now. Eli Manning was the reason why
- 37:00they won their Super Bowls. Get off it.
- 37:02It was their. Defense.
- 37:04It was their defense in their running game.
- 37:06It was their defense in their running game, that's what it
- 37:08was. 11 It was no way. It was no way.
- 37:11Eli was amazing. And let me talk about the
- 37:12completion percentage a little bit because that is a misnomer
- 37:15as well. Eli's offense was a Kevin
- 37:17Gilbride offense and if you know a little bit Kevin Gilbride, go
- 37:20back to the Tennessee Titans, Warren Moon and the run and
- 37:23shoot offense. What Victor Cruz was doing in
- 37:25his routes is he's looking at where the safeties and corners
- 37:28are positioned. Typical he's.
- 37:29Trying to take the top off of the defense.
- 37:31He's going on 10 to 15 to 20 yard routes and Eli's not going
- 37:35to be set 67% when he's throwing want it downfield like that.
- 37:39Eli had way more area yards per pass than sidearm throwing.
- 37:43Philip Rivers. Philip Rivers was didn't have to
- 37:46because he had guys he can throw short to with the best tight end
- 37:49and running back that receiving running back out of the
- 37:51backfield. So it's not like he didn't have
- 37:53to do it. But Eli, his completion
- 37:55percentage is down because that type of offense doesn't lend
- 37:58itself to a high completion percentage.
- 38:00Takes shots and the Giants took lots of shots with Eli until
- 38:04those last few years. All those guys last few years.
- 38:05Roethlisberger is probably the worst in the last few years of
- 38:08the all three. Eli wasn't very good and Rivers
- 38:11probably was better than the other two the last couple of
- 38:13years he was in the league. But they all weren't great at
- 38:16the Heights, though none of them were better than Eli.
- 38:19You're out of your mind. You're the fact that you're
- 38:21coming out. Stop.
- 38:23Stop with the Super Bowls. It takes a team to win
- 38:25championships. Stop with this garbage in the
- 38:28regular season. First of all, Phillip Rivers has
- 38:31better numbers than Eli Manning all together in their careers.
- 38:34I don't care about the Super Bowl.
- 38:36And stop. Yeah, no, no.
- 38:39Again, you're going to the playoffs in their full careers.
- 38:42I'm taking Phillip Rivers out of both of those quarterbacks.
- 38:45And again, you want to say that you want to go back, back in the
- 38:48playoffs and talk about what he won as an MVP.
- 38:51I'm not MVP of the playoffs. Again, Phillip Rivers, when you
- 38:55look at what he had as a coach and you look at both guys those
- 38:59guys had, Coward could have probably won those probably 3
- 39:03Super Bowls with Ben Roethlisberger.
- 39:05And then you have Tom Coughlin. Tom Coughlin is the only one
- 39:09that beat Bill Belichick twice, twice in the Super Bowl.
- 39:12Stop with this coverage. If you told that to anybody, if
- 39:16you sat down with people right now and you say out of all three
- 39:19quarterbacks, who's the best one out of all of them?
- 39:21If you look at straight up numbers throughout their career,
- 39:24regular season and even in the playoffs, Phillip Rivers has the
- 39:27best numbers. I don't care what you say so.
- 39:30Well look, we'll see how they go in.
- 39:32I would be shocked if Eli doesn't go in before both of
- 39:35them because of the. NBA all together.
- 39:37They should all go. They should all.
- 39:39Go now. Roethlisberger, I think is going
- 39:41to get punished for some of those extracurricular problems
- 39:43he was having on some college campuses with some females
- 39:46earlier in his career. And I don't think they're going
- 39:49to put him in as fast. And Rivers didn't win.
- 39:51So I think it's he's going to have to wait as well.
- 39:54It's just a lot of other quarterbacks like Drew Brees,
- 39:57you know, other guys that you know are above these guys that
- 40:00are going to be talked about before Roethlisberger and
- 40:05Rivers. Probably Rivers less.
- 40:06I bet Aaron Rodgers gets in before Phillip Rivers.
- 40:09You're out of your mind. You're out of your.
- 40:11Mind, I think it's going to take rivers over 5.
- 40:13You're out of your mind. You've lost your mind because
- 40:17he's got better numbers. He's got better.
- 40:20But let's keep dialing it up. This was a good one.
- 40:22I think we're going to revisit this at some point.
- 40:24Next one, we're going to college baseball.
- 40:28The top 2 seeds in the College World Series.
- 40:31Vanderbilt and Texas have been eliminated.
- 40:34A couple of other high seeds also gone.
- 40:37They were knocked out in their regional tournaments.
- 40:40This is the second time since seeding began in 1999 that the
- 40:45top 2 seeds didn't make it past regionals.
- 40:47In fact, Vandy didn't even make it to their regional final.
- 40:50They lost in the regional semi to a team who then got blasted
- 40:54in the regional final. So Vandy lost to Wright State
- 40:58and Texas lost in their regional final.
- 41:00The UTSA guys, I know you're not a big college, college baseball
- 41:06guy, Errol. No, I'm not, but I.
- 41:09But I'll tell you what, when you see high seeds go down way ahead
- 41:13of time, it's got to be exciting.
- 41:16So I want you to. Dial it on.
- 41:19Well, college baseball is so interesting because once the
- 41:22World Series comes around and College World Series, you're
- 41:25talking about all these different teams.
- 41:27I remember Stony Brook when they went to the College World
- 41:30Series, everybody was talking about here.
- 41:32It was the biggest story. They didn't care about The Jets.
- 41:35They didn't care about the Giants or anything that happened
- 41:38through that season. It was the Stony, Stony Brook
- 41:40went to the College World Series.
- 41:43So I it's a, it's a cool story. I mean, I don't know much about
- 41:46Vanderbilt. I don't know much about their
- 41:47players. I'm looking at RJ Hamilton and
- 41:50and Jaden Davis. I don't know anything about
- 41:53these guys. So I'm not going to tell you.
- 41:54I'm not going to lie to you on what I know and what I don't
- 41:57know. What I do know is this is a good
- 41:59time to watch, you know, who and what type of players are going
- 42:02to go and, and be a draft, you know, be a high draft pick and
- 42:06where they going to go in the draft and, and what type of
- 42:08player is going to show up in the big game and in in this, you
- 42:11know, in this College World Series.
- 42:13So it's funny, obviously, Vander, I don't know nothing
- 42:16about Vanderbilt baseball, but it's a cool story that
- 42:19Vanderbilt is is moving along. So good story.
- 42:23No, Vanderbilt got knocked. Out.
- 42:24Well, I'm sorry, got knocked out, but they made it.
- 42:27They made it to the college playoffs, so whatever.
- 42:30I I don't know much about this stuff, so you're asking the
- 42:32wrong guy when it comes to. Traditionally a very good
- 42:35baseball. Scene I don't know as.
- 42:37Every. I don't know why you would bring
- 42:38this up and ask me because you should have told me Fish.
- 42:41We were talking about it so I can investigate.
- 42:42Wright State. Wright State eliminates #1
- 42:45Vanderbilt. UTSA eliminated #2 Texas Mary
- 42:51State upsets old miss Oklahoma State eliminates Georgia walk
- 42:55off Homer St. Mary's defeats Oregon State St.
- 42:58Mary's basketball school Columbia upsets Southern Miss
- 43:04Utah Valley eliminates Oregon Eastern Carolina rips North
- 43:09Florida, which I got a what's that smell for that Cincinnati
- 43:13over Wake Forest and right now I don't know what the score is for
- 43:17LSU, but. They'll lose you.
- 43:19They're. Down 1.
- 43:21We're down one the freaking Little Rock.
- 43:25The Tigers going down come. On Go Tigers.
- 43:28What are we doing? It took to me, I was talking to
- 43:32somebody on the way home from the game.
- 43:35It's like NIL doesn't mean anything.
- 43:37It doesn't mean anything because if you can't get it done in the
- 43:39postseason, yeah, you get paid all this money.
- 43:41But if you can't win in the postseason, what is all that
- 43:43money good for? School's not going to get more
- 43:45money. School gets more money when they
- 43:47win. So it's crazy.
- 43:49It's crazy seeing all these teams just going in laps. 65.
- 43:53Now do you do you think that splits with the NIL being being
- 43:56that baseball's not the prominent sport for a lot of
- 43:58those schools, Maybe that's why it's not as big drastic yet like
- 44:01you saw him, I just. I think the world's watching the
- 44:04playoffs if if I'm going to tune in and when the College World
- 44:07Series comes around, I want to see who's in the game because
- 44:10some of these guys could be top draft picks.
- 44:12What you're watching right now, like Murray State, they might
- 44:15have maybe one or two guys drafted, I don't know, I haven't
- 44:17watched them, but like Texas is probably going to have half your
- 44:20team drafted so and they just got eliminated.
- 44:23So like you're going to watch like that's why baseball is the
- 44:26greatest sport because you can get a you can, you can have
- 44:30upsets like this all the time. It's insane.
- 44:33Ole Miss when they won two years ago in an 80.
- 44:35See you. Mean more pitches are, but he's
- 44:3775 years. See, ladies and gentlemen, he
- 44:39had to throw that out there. Baseball's the best sport.
- 44:43It's it is because it's like it's literally the pitcher can
- 44:47go out and just have the game of his life like Dallas Braden,
- 44:50like perfect game. Like that's what he's known for.
- 44:53And now he now he commentates for for the eights, but it's
- 44:56like that's what he's known for. But if you if you look at his
- 44:59career, he was trash. That's what, well, it was he
- 45:04underperformed. Let's just say that.
- 45:05I like that. But yes, it's it's like it's
- 45:09something like that. It's just at any given time,
- 45:10it's not like, you know, like little Giants and they just show
- 45:14up and anybody show up and win. But that's a good move.
- 45:16College baseball, to me, so much fun to watch because of stuff
- 45:20like this. Now, I was a part of that LSU
- 45:22team that did lose to Stony Brook.
- 45:24That really sucked it. Was a good time, good time over
- 45:28here alone now. Did you ever did you ever make
- 45:29the World Series? No, we lost to Stony Brook.
- 45:32My own new and. And but my point, my point being
- 45:36is how many guys on Stony Brook are in the big.
- 45:38Leagues. All right, one actually. 11 How
- 45:42many guys? Any wonder world?
- 45:44Any wonder World Series buddy? Anyone in the World Series I
- 45:47know? But how many guys were in the
- 45:50big leagues? From my LSD Manny, I understand.
- 45:52I got it. I got it.
- 45:54With eight guys, I got it. So it's like, that's what I'm
- 45:57saying. It's crazy.
- 45:58You want to watch college baseball like regionals or time
- 46:00to watch it Super regionals, college baseball's.
- 46:03Epic. Absolutely epic.
- 46:06Speaking of Joe Nathan earlier though, Tony Brook.
- 46:09I know Stony Brook from Joe Nathan, yeah.
- 46:12He built the field over there. Beautiful.
- 46:14It's beautiful over there. Last one, boys.
- 46:16He went as a shortstop. Here it is Zion Williamson,
- 46:20accused of rape and other sexual offenses.
- 46:24So interesting. Pelicans forward Zion Williamson
- 46:27is accused of rape, sexual, physical, emotional and
- 46:29financial abuse from 2018 to 2023.
- 46:34A woman identified as Jane Doe is accusing Williamson of abuse,
- 46:39controlling and threatening behavior starting at Duke his
- 46:43freshman year. 2 instances of rape or part of the lawsuit both
- 46:46in 2020. And the woman is seeking
- 46:48anywhere between 18 and $50 million.
- 46:53Here's the quote from the lawyer.
- 46:55We take these allegations with the utmost seriousness and we
- 46:58unequivocally deny them. This is from his attorneys at
- 47:02Barrasso, who's in Cooperman, Freeman and Sarver LLC.
- 47:07The allegations contained in the complaint are categorically
- 47:10false and reckless. This appears to be an attempt to
- 47:14exploit a professional athlete. Driven by a financial motive.
- 47:18Rather than any legitimate grievance, Errol.
- 47:23Dial it up. It's definitely a financial
- 47:25motive. I don't care what anybody says.
- 47:28Now, obviously you're asking for between 20 and $50 million.
- 47:33You're asking for a lot of money.
- 47:34And I'm not saying that somebody like Williamson wouldn't do
- 47:38this, but there has to be physical proof.
- 47:40If they don't have physical proof, that's why it's it's only
- 47:43a civil case. It's not something that's going
- 47:46to be if it was me and you or if it was anybody else on this
- 47:48show, maybe not Jabba or Nick, but any one of us.
- 47:52We're going to jail for life, OK, Because there's no way we're
- 47:55going to be able to protect ourselves.
- 47:56We're not in in the public eye. We're really not superstar big
- 48:00name players like Williamson. And maybe we are.
- 48:03But the fact is when you hear a story like this, you know, it's
- 48:06money driven. It's always money driven.
- 48:09And they're trying to, you know, take money from a superstar
- 48:12player that has a ton of it. Now, Williamson has been doing a
- 48:16lot of different things on the basketball court and off the
- 48:19basketball court. He's hanging out with porno
- 48:21stars and all these different things that you're hearing
- 48:23stories over the last couple of years.
- 48:25So we all know Williamson likes the sexy, you know, big boob,
- 48:29big ass type of girls. He goes to a bunch of different
- 48:33places. I'm not going to mention off off
- 48:36the basketball. So we know Zion Williamson likes
- 48:39to party, but I and by the way, he likes to do drugs too,
- 48:42because there's stories about that as well.
- 48:44But I don't know if I think somebody is trying to get some
- 48:48money from him. And obviously, being that he has
- 48:50a name and he's got millions and millions of dollars and what he
- 48:53has done off the court over the last couple years, they're
- 48:56trying now all of a sudden to Draw Something or try to take
- 48:59something from him that they probably he probably hasn't
- 49:02done. I don't believe this story
- 49:04unless proven guilty. And there is nothing that I've
- 49:07heard through the story that they have any proof that he did
- 49:11any of this. So this is just like somebody
- 49:14from baseball that was accused of something and probably will
- 49:18never play in the major leagues again.
- 49:20Zion Williamson and the NBA is different because guess what?
- 49:23It's the LeBron James association.
- 49:25So they get away with everything.
- 49:27So, but I I do not believe there's any truth to these
- 49:31stories. Yeah, it's a complex case from
- 49:33what it seems like. Obviously we know Diane Wilson
- 49:35was dealing with in college as well and off the off the court
- 49:38issues that like both outspoken stuff and like you're saying all
- 49:41this stuff. There's no proof.
- 49:42Yeah, there's not right now. It's, it's very layered.
- 49:45Like, I mean, it's tough to tell how much you're going to get the
- 49:47benefit of the doubt. They say they have Texas and and
- 49:50Texas could be very weird. You know how you use your words
- 49:54so Texas don't sell anything to the the judge and the jury.
- 49:59So and if it was, he'd be going to going to jail for.
- 50:02This right and that's what's difficult when you're judging
- 50:04something like this like how many different elements of what
- 50:07he's done. Zion Williamson I don't know if
- 50:09I necessarily wanted to give that out but like you were
- 50:11talking about the Trevor Bauer case Lindsay Hill and I think
- 50:14there were two others that didn't reveal their names in the
- 50:16process. Texas and it made it seem very
- 50:19vague as them being the source of it.
- 50:21So that's what maybe he would give him a little bit of it,
- 50:23like her not revealing her name as it was.
- 50:25I don't really trust him that he wouldn't have made that kind of
- 50:28decision, especially at that age in college too.
- 50:30For playing for Dupia has all this hype around him.
- 50:32Probably outside of LeBron and Wendy, the most hype we've seen
- 50:34of a prospect. It's money driven.
- 50:36Of course, of course, everything is going to be entertainment and
- 50:40money and all the stuff that he's done off with.
- 50:42Everything's going on right now with P Diddy and all these other
- 50:45guys that are getting in trouble and and I'm P Diddy is a
- 50:48disgusting piece of crap. OK, but Zion Williamson, there
- 50:52is more than enough proof and video proof of what P Diddy did.
- 50:56There is nothing, nothing, no information besides a couple of
- 51:01Texas that have any thought or proof that Zion Williamson did
- 51:06any of these things to this young lady.
- 51:07Now, I'm not saying she's lying, but it's always money driven.
- 51:12And I think it's despicable that because they're athletes and
- 51:15they have a ton of money and because of what he's done off
- 51:18the court over the last couple of years, they're trying to
- 51:21bring this story to the forefront and, and take money
- 51:24away from this kid. So I don't know, I, I, I think
- 51:27this is a bunch of crud and I think he's going to get off on
- 51:29it. Yeah, again, we were talking
- 51:30about it in the NBA too. Like they've been a lot more
- 51:32lenient with. There's a whole situation with
- 51:34Miles Bridges a while ago and I think he ended up getting to
- 51:37play again and domestic violence.
- 51:39But there was proof with Miles Bridges.
- 51:41Yeah, no, I understand. There was a lot more proof with
- 51:43Miles Bridges. There is no proof with any of
- 51:47this. And what this story is coming
- 51:49out to the forefront in Duke? There's nothing.
- 51:51There's no proof. So a couple of taxes.
- 51:54Give me a break. Yeah.
- 51:56And again, we've talked about it with other athletic programs too
- 51:59in college. Like those are the things that
- 52:01they like to cover up just to get get those types of players
- 52:03as well in there. And money like you said, money
- 52:05driven, paid under the table like yours.
- 52:09Duke and he's going to probably pay her off.
- 52:11She's not going to get as much money.
- 52:12He's just going to pay her off and move on and and try to just
- 52:16completely wash this away. But it's going to hurt Zion
- 52:19Williamson's trade, you know, trade options, because nobody's
- 52:22going to take on a guy that is involved with all these
- 52:26extracurricular activities off the court, which is a lot.
- 52:30Which is already a lot of baggage as it was.
- 52:32I defended him a little bit when I think people were too
- 52:34insulting of him with the whole weight thing.
- 52:35But everything else has been a lot of self-inflicted stuff with
- 52:38him and some of the stuff he says and obviously just.
- 52:40Just think about it. In the top of that draft you
- 52:43have Williamson, John Morant and RJ Barrett, and RJ Barrett is
- 52:47the only good one out of both of them.
- 52:50And I would say RJ Barrett isn't think about the one with all the
- 52:52distractions either. John Morant and Williamson, all
- 52:55these stuff off the court, it's terrible.
- 52:58It's terrible, and these guys are two superstars in the
- 53:00league. It's a horrible story.
- 53:01When Zion, Zion had all that hype at the time too and let it
- 53:03get to him and it just added up for a while and I didn't realize
- 53:06it was really that extreme. Cost to get Zion these days
- 53:09guys. You don't want him?
- 53:10Yeah, I don't want him. You don't want him.
- 53:11I didn't want him two years ago. I.
- 53:13Do, but probably good. Probably wouldn't be that hard
- 53:16to get him right. Well, it was interesting because
- 53:18Errol and I were discussing before like two or three years
- 53:20ago and before you guys joined us, like pairings Barrett with
- 53:23Zion Williamson at the time because he wanted out of the
- 53:25Pelican. And he wanted to play with RJ.
- 53:27That was before he signed that insane contract he signed at the
- 53:30time. I think it makes a lot of sense
- 53:31for the Raptors to go after a guy like Williamson to play with
- 53:34RJ Barrett. They're good friends and I think
- 53:36that makes a lot of sense. It would it would make a lot of
- 53:39sense and they don't have to give up much to get them.
- 53:41So I could see something like that happening, but the Knicks
- 53:44stay the hell away from Williamson.
- 53:46You do not want Zion Williamson a part of this organization.
- 53:49Madison Square Garden with the press and and all that garbage
- 53:53that you know this job, but you know this goodie in New York.
- 53:56You do not want to deal with that press when you hear all
- 53:59these stories in the backlash over the last couple of years
- 54:02with Zion Williamson on and off the court.
- 54:04Not a good sign. Not a good sign for the Knicks
- 54:06to sign or make a trade form. That's why that's why you just
- 54:11just hides under kind of like the radar.
- 54:13Like obviously this came out. But even with him being hurt all
- 54:16the time and, and like, could you imagine if that did happen
- 54:20in like the media market of New York, like with the
- 54:23expectations, like you guys said, like coming into it like
- 54:27one of the one of the most hyped guys probably since LeBron.
- 54:31Yeah, that's what I said before. Probably hit LeBron Wembe and
- 54:34then him. Just think about it.
- 54:35The last time that the Knicks brought in a player of this
- 54:38magnitude, well, he's not even at this man.
- 54:40Remember Raymond Felton with the gun charges that he had in the
- 54:44offseason? I remember that.
- 54:46That was that was horrible. And the Knicks had to deal with
- 54:48it because Raymond Felton was their one of their best players.
- 54:52He really was the second best player on that roster.
- 54:54Yeah, we call him fatten. That's what we called him so
- 54:57because he was always fat, you know, so.
- 55:00But he played himself in the shape though.
- 55:01Yeah, he's, he's an idiot. Raymond Felton was an idiot.
- 55:04I actually met Raymond Felton. That was a couple of years ago.
- 55:09He got so fat. And I saw if Ray, you're
- 55:12probably not listening to this show, but anybody that knows
- 55:14Raymond Felton, he got really, really overweight.
- 55:17He looks horrible right now and unfortunately I just remember,
- 55:22you know the time he was always a ball hog and he always went,
- 55:26he always went left on you, never went right, always went
- 55:29left on you. So I hated him.
- 55:31I hated him. That's all I'm going to say.
- 55:33One of those guys. Yeah, I didn't like him.
- 55:35I never liked Raymond. You don't know anything about
- 55:37that Goody so. Timothy Mozgoff.
- 55:42I remember that trade when Raymond Felton, Timothy Mozgoff
- 55:46and all those guys went for, you know, Mr. Carmelo Anthony.
- 55:51I remember that it was, it was one of the, IT was one of the
- 55:56worst trades I could remember the Knicks make and honestly
- 56:00came out to be not that bad because they give up six guys
- 56:03for one six guys. I actually was mad at the time
- 56:06that they gave up Wilson Chandler in that deal, which was
- 56:10which was so funny thinking back on.
- 56:12It he was good. Wilson Chandler, He was the next
- 56:14where the next he. Was fine.
- 56:15It was good. I mean, he's not someone that
- 56:17you don't give up in a deal like, no Wilson.
- 56:19Chandler. Oh God, Oh my God, I remember
- 56:21when the Knicks drafted him in the second round.
- 56:23But the Knicks have always been bad when it came when it comes
- 56:26to drafting people. So I, I will say Leon Rose has
- 56:30been pretty on top. I mean, toppings been a pretty
- 56:33good NBA player. Quigley is a great NBA player.
- 56:35RJ Barrett's a pretty fair good, good player.
- 56:39I, I mean, McBride is a good NBA player.
- 56:42I think Kollek's going to be a good NBA player.
- 56:44So we, we've seen that it's been pretty good to watch.
- 56:47So we'll we'll see this coming though the Knicks don't have a
- 56:50first round draft this year, they got 2 next year.
- 56:53So we'll see. The Knicks are going to probably
- 56:54trade those things off in the offseason if they expect to get
- 56:57a big name and and add him to add two of those picks into the
- 57:01draft next year. So we'll we'll see.
- 57:03Anyways, we call the next segment and the final segment as
- 57:07we do this every single week. What's that smell?
- 57:10Hold up, What is that smell? What's that?
- 57:18Smell. Wow, we don't see that every
- 57:20day. All right, ladies and gentlemen,
- 57:22we do this every single week. It's pretty simple and it's
- 57:25going to be pretty quick. So it's it's definitely a
- 57:27segment you're probably going to love or like if you never seen
- 57:30it, it's pretty simple. We give you a story and we tell
- 57:33you what it smells like. So tonight we're going to do it
- 57:36this way. We're going to go scoops, speedy
- 57:40fish. Goody Jabba me.
- 57:44Here we go all. Right.
- 57:48Basically everybody might know that I'm a pretty big WWE fan,
- 57:53pretty big wrestling guy, and I hate her over there.
- 57:56But anyways, yesterday the wrestling world was kind of hit
- 58:01with some big news that Ron the killings R Truth.
- 58:07Basically Ron Killings, his real name and known as R Truth
- 58:11basically got released, got released from Tupac.
- 58:15WE Tupac's old friend. He has a picture with him, used
- 58:18to be opener actually for him a couple of times and actually has
- 58:21a pretty cool iconic picture. And stuff like that.
- 58:23He did, yeah. So he has a pretty cool picture
- 58:25with him and everything. Basically. 17 year veteran is
- 58:28getting released from WWE and took the time to go on Twitter
- 58:31to send a heartfelt message to not only the fans, but all the
- 58:34WWE people that he's worked with and everybody that supported him
- 58:38to where I I am honestly heartbroken for the fact that
- 58:41this dude growing up was such a such a great guy.
- 58:44Everybody used to love singing his theme song.
- 58:46What's up. But if you know, you know
- 58:48basically not only that, but he was one of the most loved
- 58:52persons in the backstage couple years ago.
- 58:54I remember when WWE Network became a thing.
- 58:56It was a thing where everybody remember watching him.
- 58:59It was his birthday on one of the episodes and everybody came
- 59:02out singing him happy birthday in the entire locker room.
- 59:05Came out whether they were a heel face.
- 59:07The dude is so loved backstage and I don't want to take shots
- 59:09because I don't know what. If he was so loved, they would
- 59:11have given him another contract. I'm hearing that he doesn't want
- 59:14to have his contract renewed. That's that's the situation.
- 59:16That's going on. I'm sure that's what everybody
- 59:18wants. I don't know, I don't know
- 59:19what's happening between backstage or whatnot.
- 59:21I'm not going to get into it too nitty gritty or whatnot, but the
- 59:25sake of him leaving just smells like the one and only the
- 59:29biggest ass and the WWE. There's F Rakishi stink face
- 59:34after having a Mexican burrito, so yeah.
- 59:37All. Right, that's a good one.
- 59:41All right, so I'm going to go to the hot as a little hockey.
- 59:44So the Capitals sent an e-mail to season ticket holders that
- 59:48this would be Alex Ovechkin's final season.
- 59:50And then it was revealed, I think it was on Friday, that
- 59:53that e-mail was actually false. And Alex Ovechkin said he's just
- 59:56returning next season. He did not say that would be his
- 59:59final season, but the Capitals tried to make a stir of it and
- 1:00:02they said the e-mail was sent by accident.
- 1:00:04So, fish, you'll like this one. There's a apparently there's a
- 1:00:07crypt. There's a crypt under the
- 1:00:08Capitol building. So what does it smell like?
- 1:00:10It smells like a bunch of mummies rising from the Capitol
- 1:00:13building, biting Tom Wilson. And they'll let all the blood,
- 1:00:16sweat and guts that emerge. From that.
- 1:00:19I hope they they they take Tom Wilson out.
- 1:00:22I'm sure you do. I got one for.
- 1:00:25You. I like Tom Wilson.
- 1:00:26I don't know why you hate them. Why?
- 1:00:28Because he you know. He's the best part of hockey.
- 1:00:32You have a villain. If he's not on.
- 1:00:33Your team, I love him and he's not a part of my team.
- 1:00:36He's a villain. You like villains?
- 1:00:37You like bullies? That's what's great about
- 1:00:40because when. When you were when you were
- 1:00:42younger, you beat up like 11 year old Sidney Crosby when you
- 1:00:45played against I. First of all, he was 12.
- 1:00:47Yes. And I I gave him a nice little
- 1:00:50budget, you know, nudge. Did you my own boogies and
- 1:00:53stuff? No, against the ice.
- 1:00:54No, I'll never forget. I'll tell you guys quickly.
- 1:00:57I'll never forget when and I hit him in in a tournament and he
- 1:01:00turned around. His father was standing up right
- 1:01:03by the rafters calling me a son of a you know what and all this
- 1:01:06other stuff. And when I turned around and I
- 1:01:08got on the bench, I gave him the two fingers and I told him to
- 1:01:10kiss my ass. I told his father to kiss my
- 1:01:12ass. So true story on that.
- 1:01:15I taught him a lesson and he was a shit talker then.
- 1:01:18He's a shit talker now. So he talked a lot of crap.
- 1:01:23He's great player. Forgive those cheating those
- 1:01:25cheating bastards in Houston for 2017.
- 1:01:29So when you see a story like their best play best hitter
- 1:01:34being rushed back too soon before the imaging revealed a
- 1:01:37broken bone in his hand, it just warms my heart.
- 1:01:41Yes you're Don Alvarez the karma police have come for the Houston
- 1:01:45Astros. He was missing time with hand
- 1:01:48inflammation, which is a very irregular name for an injury.
- 1:01:52They thought he was coming back any day now, and now that the
- 1:01:55swelling's down, it reveals he's got a broken bone in his hand.
- 1:02:00They thought it was just a muscle strain.
- 1:02:02He's out indefinitely. We'll see when he can come back.
- 1:02:05But usually hand injuries set power from power hitters and
- 1:02:08he's their power hitter. Couldn't happen to a better
- 1:02:11team. It smells like rotten eggs all
- 1:02:14over the Astros faces. I.
- 1:02:18Like rotten eggs? Nice.
- 1:02:20Well, prior to yesterday's NCA AA Tournament game.
- 1:02:23This is coming from Coach Kevin O'Sullivan, head coach of the
- 1:02:26Florida Gators. This is his apology statement
- 1:02:30prior to yesterday's NCAA AA Tournament game against Eastern
- 1:02:32Carolina. I let my emotions get the best
- 1:02:34of me and channeled that energy in a way I should not have.
- 1:02:36I want to sincerely apologize for my actions, behavior to the
- 1:02:39entire NCAA regional field of Coastal Carolina, East Carolina
- 1:02:43and Fairfield, the NCAA including the site
- 1:02:45representatives Rick French and Mark Skaff, as well as all of
- 1:02:49Gator Nation. I did not represent the
- 1:02:51University of Florida to appropriate standard yesterday
- 1:02:53and take full responsibility for that and promise to learn from
- 1:02:56this experience and be better moving forward.
- 1:02:59I appreciate all the tireless effort on behalf of Coastal
- 1:03:03Carolina, their tournament director Brian Stiles and NCAA
- 1:03:07over the course of the NCA Regionals.
- 1:03:09And I'm sorry for the allowing the census to get in the way of
- 1:03:11an otherwise great weekend of post season baseball.
- 1:03:14You know it sounds like it sounds like catch coach Kevin
- 1:03:18O'Sullivan was on ChatGPT till 10:00 last night after he got
- 1:03:24his Vass whooped in the in the regional asking them hey I need
- 1:03:29an apology message for Eastern Carolina, Coastal Carolina, all
- 1:03:33the site representatives and the entire NCAA send smells like
- 1:03:39bullshit. I mean, the fingers were
- 1:03:43fingering right there. Good, I need a magnifying glass.
- 1:03:51What he was doing did. He have a magnifying glass when
- 1:03:54he was on chat GPC. Two in the pink and one in this
- 1:03:57thing this. Sounds good and I want this to
- 1:04:02sound good and sensitive. I want them to understand.
- 1:04:05Can I snap here? It has.
- 1:04:06To go through NCAA rules, Cody. I shut up on your face.
- 1:04:13I was like ChatGPT and Grok were working extra hard last night,
- 1:04:16yeah. I'm going to go mine is mine is
- 1:04:24going to be with the WNBA and the Caitlin Clark shit again.
- 1:04:29How wonderful and always good. They were going to play the
- 1:04:31Chicago Sigh and it was going to be at the United Center.
- 1:04:37And I think it's it's come out and we've all read that the
- 1:04:44Indiana Fever are going to protect Caitlin Clark if the
- 1:04:47WNBA doesn't. And you know what else happened?
- 1:04:51Those ticket prices went down over 40% because they knew
- 1:04:55Caitlin Clark wasn't playing. So I don't care what Andrew
- 1:05:00Reese says. Nobody's watching her play.
- 1:05:04And get her me bounds. I ordered a me Bound shirt, by
- 1:05:07the way. I did.
- 1:05:09I did. Did you?
- 1:05:11See Java, there's like this, this betting website that that
- 1:05:15tweets that like they're betting on her missing her first shot in
- 1:05:18the game. Oh yeah, and it's been like 7
- 1:05:20games in a row that she's missed her first shot.
- 1:05:22And there's been a bunch of people that have won big, too.
- 1:05:27She's. Shooting WNB.
- 1:05:30AI know, but at the same time it's Cleveland.
- 1:05:33We can. So, OK, so Errol calls it the
- 1:05:36LeBron James Association. So are we.
- 1:05:38Mark Association. Yeah.
- 1:05:40So is it? Is it the CCA?
- 1:05:42Not yet. Not yet, not.
- 1:05:43Yet no, it should. It should be.
- 1:05:45It should be. It is.
- 1:05:46Well, there's a. Lot I will.
- 1:05:47I will say it smells like absolute hot garbage with three
- 1:05:54day formunda cheese on your nutsack on a hike.
- 1:05:56No that. Sounds tasty.
- 1:05:59The WNBA will not protect Caitlin Clark.
- 1:06:03Let's thank you. All right, the final.
- 1:06:07Follow that up, Errol, follow that up.
- 1:06:10The final What's that smell goes to the San Francisco 49ers as
- 1:06:14they make a trade yesterday. Bryce Huff is joining a new
- 1:06:17team. For the second straight year,
- 1:06:20the Philadelphia Eagles have traded Bryce Huff to the San
- 1:06:23Francisco 49ers in exchange for a 2026 mid round draft pick.
- 1:06:28Penning pending physical the physical on Monday.
- 1:06:32It seems like that's where Bryce Huff is going.
- 1:06:34I will say this the only reason why he's going over there to the
- 1:06:3749ers is because a Bambi Bambi coached him over there with the
- 1:06:41New York Jets. He had a pretty good season
- 1:06:44before he decided to part wait while The Jets started decided
- 1:06:48to part ways with him. He goes to free agency.
- 1:06:50He goes to Philadelphia, he plays one year.
- 1:06:53He didn't work in FAZ. You know, I'm sorry Fangio's
- 1:06:57defense, it didn't work out over there.
- 1:06:59As a matter of fact, he lost his job in the middle of the the
- 1:07:02season, and now he heads over there to San Francisco.
- 1:07:06It's not going to work out over there.
- 1:07:07You know what it smells like? It smells like, yeah, Mike
- 1:07:10Shanahan when he's jerking off and he sticks a sausage up his
- 1:07:13ass. So that's Mike, not Kyle.
- 1:07:16So that's all I'm going to say about that.
- 1:07:18Spicy or regular? I have no idea, Speedy, what
- 1:07:21would you rather? Jabba, why don't you ask Owen?
- 1:07:24It's that's his team. I put Mike Shanahan, you know,
- 1:07:27he's retired. He's like 80 years old now, I
- 1:07:29mean. He's older, he probably can't
- 1:07:30have that kind of spice level. These days, don't worry, don't
- 1:07:34worry. Whatever be the lightest.
- 1:07:36Whatever does happen with whatever, whatever Mike Shanahan
- 1:07:39does, we know. We know Robert Soloway could
- 1:07:41keep receipts. I, I will say this, Bryce off
- 1:07:45has been an absolute joke and I think the judge were very lucky
- 1:07:49not to give him an extended contract because it hasn't
- 1:07:52worked out since he's left. Now again, he's going to Robert
- 1:07:55Soller and he's going to the 49ers and he gets to play with
- 1:07:57Nick Boso, who's one of the more prolific off defensive lineman
- 1:08:02we've seen in a very long time. But I, I just, I don't know how
- 1:08:05how this is going to work over there, but I, I believe Kyle
- 1:08:08Shanahan will be fired at the end of this year.
- 1:08:10Mark my words. Remember I said this?
- 1:08:13Bambi take over as interim head coach no.
- 1:08:15They're going to bring in a new coach.
- 1:08:17Oh my. God no, it would be him as the
- 1:08:19interim coach. No, I don't think he's going to
- 1:08:21get fired. I don't think he's going to get
- 1:08:23fired in the middle of the season.
- 1:08:24I think he'll be fired at the end of this year.
- 1:08:26I, I think he'll, he'll live out his contract this year.
- 1:08:29I think his contract is up after this year.
- 1:08:31I think he's done. I, I think he's gone.
- 1:08:34I, I and by the way, John Lynch is going to retire after this
- 1:08:37year as, as far as what I've heard, this is his final year as
- 1:08:41the GM of the 49ers. So it's all washed up.
- 1:08:45So thank you, Owen for your 49ers garbage.
- 1:08:48You're never going to win a Super Bowl, just like my New
- 1:08:50York Jets. What a joke.
- 1:08:53Another organization has had great teams.
- 1:08:55Couldn't get over the hump because of Kyle friggin
- 1:08:58Shanahan. Horrible, horrible game-winning
- 1:09:02coach who can't find a way to win a game at the end of a game.
- 1:09:06I'd like to thank all the fans that are following us on
- 1:09:09obviously blue wire. We're not on blue wire yet guys.
- 1:09:12So I know a lot of fans probably have gone on blue wire and
- 1:09:15trying to look for us. Blue wire is working on it.
- 1:09:18I did speak to blue wire They it should be up in the next week or
- 1:09:21so. It usually takes a little while
- 1:09:23for it to go up on their, you know, on their website.
- 1:09:26So just relax. It'll be up there again.
- 1:09:30Thank you to all the fans on all our social medias from Spotify,
- 1:09:34Spotify video, Apple, Twitter, tick tock, whatever the hell you
- 1:09:38call it X Instagram, all the social media platforms.
- 1:09:42Thank you for all the fans following us.
- 1:09:44Keep following us and again, our YouTube channel growing as well
- 1:09:48and, and, and we're going to be working on more of the YouTube
- 1:09:52channel over the next couple of weeks.
- 1:09:53So thank you to all the fans and, and by the way, who do we
- 1:09:56have on on Thursday? All right, joining the show, 915
- 1:09:59Hall of Fame safety Leroy Butler, also the guy who
- 1:10:02invented the Lambo leap. He was a 2022 Hall of Fame
- 1:10:06inductee. And yes, the guy who invented
- 1:10:08the Lambo leap in the late 90s? Super Bowl champion, A four time
- 1:10:12Pro Bowl. Safety.
- 1:10:13And that was the I was actually going to go to Ohio to watch
- 1:10:18Revis be inducted that year and we were going to go with Josh.
- 1:10:21Remember that. Yeah, I remember that.
- 1:10:23We were going to go to that that Hall of Fame and Kleco, Joe
- 1:10:28Kleco and Revis went in that year.
- 1:10:31But Leroy was one of the more underrated, one of the greatest
- 1:10:34safeties ever played the game. So it's cool.
- 1:10:37It's kind of cool getting him on the show.
- 1:10:38It's going to be a great interview and he doesn't really
- 1:10:41interview a lot. He doesn't really go on a lot of
- 1:10:43shows. So it's pretty cool that he
- 1:10:44wants to come on the show and talk about his career and being
- 1:10:48inducted to the Hall of Fame. I think there's only been like 6
- 1:10:51safeties ever been inducted into the Hall of Fame and he's one of
- 1:10:54them. It's a pretty cool story, so
- 1:10:57it's great to have him on. I'm looking forward to getting
- 1:10:58Leroy on the show. I'm sure Jabba is.
- 1:11:00I'm sure all of you guys will be very intrigued to hear some of
- 1:11:04the stories that he has in his past and what he's doing in the
- 1:11:07future with all the different organizations he's working with.
- 1:11:10All right, that's it. Thank you, Nick.
- 1:11:12By the way, congratulations to Nick winning his first coaching
- 1:11:16job. Oh, by the way, so Golf Club for
- 1:11:18old Nicky, 17 strikeouts for the old Nick boy.
- 1:11:22It wasn't him throwing the ball, that's for sure.
- 1:11:25Are you surprised? No, I'm not surprised.
- 1:11:27You're always trying to find a way to, you know, stand out and
- 1:11:31you're going to be a good coach. You're a good you're a good
- 1:11:33dude. So I, I, I know I don't expect
- 1:11:35anything but greatness for the old wood boy as we Hold on, hold
- 1:11:40on. I'm going to figure.
- 1:11:41Breaking news Goody has no Woody.
- 1:11:44All right, that's it for our show, ladies and gentlemen.
- 1:11:47Good night. We'll talk to you Thursday.
- 1:11:48It is the Worldwide Sports Radio network, Radio network.
