- 0:00Speaker 1: Cold he got for three things we need to know today, you.
- 0:01Speaker 2: Guys, the first major AI copyright lawsuit has officially ended
- 0:06Speaker 2: with a historic one point five.
- 0:09Speaker 3: Billion dollars settlement.
- 0:11Speaker 2: So the AI company Anthropic, is gonna have to pay
- 0:14Speaker 2: authors about three thousand dollars per book after admitting, yeah,
- 0:19Speaker 2: we used pirate copies of the books to train Claude.
- 0:23Speaker 3: So that's amazing.
- 0:25Speaker 2: So now we are like they're saying that this lawsuit
- 0:28Speaker 2: could become historic and also the sense that it could
- 0:31Speaker 2: be the basis of a dozen other AI lawsuits that
- 0:34Speaker 2: are working their way through quurts.
- 0:36Speaker 3: It makes sense too. And Nanthropic and all those companies
- 0:38Speaker 3: have made so much money, you figure the courts are
- 0:41Speaker 3: going to favor, you know, for the people that are
- 0:43Speaker 3: suing them. Yeah, so they're gonna have to pay. I'm sure.
- 0:46Speaker 1: I also saw this thing, and this AI stuff is crazy.
- 0:48Speaker 1: I saw like Pixar, you know, they had the toy
- 0:50Speaker 1: Story five that made almost a billion dollars, and Pixars
- 0:53Speaker 1: like laid off like hundreds of people, and it's because
- 0:55Speaker 1: AI is replacing them. I know.
- 0:57Speaker 2: It's really sad. Yeah, it's it's it's pretty crazy what
- 1:01Speaker 2: AI is doing in the business world right now. Now
- 1:04Speaker 2: when it comes to court, it's been a big couple
- 1:07Speaker 2: days in Coridor. Today is the second day of the
- 1:09Speaker 2: preliminary hearing of David. He is the singer that is
- 1:13Speaker 2: accused of murdering fourteen year old Celeste Revs Hernandez. If
- 1:16Speaker 2: you guys remember, this was the body they found in
- 1:20Speaker 2: that tesla that was abandoned at the tow truck place
- 1:22Speaker 2: in Hollywood. Now, what they're doing in court is just
- 1:27Speaker 2: the preliminary hearing. So this is just lawyers David and
- 1:32Speaker 2: like a select amount of people that are there, and
- 1:35Speaker 2: this is where the judge basically tries to figure out
- 1:37Speaker 2: if they're going to have an actual trial. So they
- 1:40Speaker 2: are presenting evidence. They showed bodycam footage, graphic crime scene photos.
- 1:45Speaker 2: They heard testimony from detectives who described finding Celeste's remains
- 1:50Speaker 2: in the front of David's tesla in that Hollywood yard.
- 1:53Speaker 2: And the hearing will continue this week. Like I said,
- 1:56Speaker 2: the judge will decide whether prosecutors have enough evidence for
- 1:59Speaker 2: the case to actually move forward.
- 2:00Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, this whole thing is so insane to
- 2:03Speaker 4: me because he just like wrote like he just like
- 2:07Speaker 4: was continuing to perform and do all of these things.
- 2:10Speaker 4: And I don't know, I don't I feel like he
- 2:13Speaker 4: would be ridiculous to not just I don't think it'll
- 2:16Speaker 4: go to trial. I think he's going to plead guilty.
- 2:18Speaker 3: He should.
- 2:19Speaker 4: I mean, the evidence is there. He was caught red handed.
- 2:22Speaker 2: Okay, so from what I'm hearing, he has shown zero
- 2:25Speaker 2: remorse exactly, showing zero. So he's going for not guilty.
- 2:30Speaker 2: So yeah, and the prosecutors were already trying to like
- 2:34Speaker 2: discredit the two witnesses that were on the stand already.
- 2:37Speaker 4: That is very ridiculous, Like what that girl went through,
- 2:39Speaker 4: what her family is going through, like.
- 2:42Speaker 2: And her family was there and had to go through
- 2:44Speaker 2: the trial. This was the first time that the family saw.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Those graphics were gruesome. Yeah, So I think I kind
- 2:54Speaker 2: of think it may end up going You have a
- 2:56Speaker 2: lot of evidence, like they were talking about the evidence
- 2:59Speaker 2: that they have from the actual tesla that showed exactly
- 3:02Speaker 2: where he was when he was like driving around doing
- 3:05Speaker 2: errands with.
- 3:05Speaker 4: Her with her Oh my god, I mean, it's like
- 3:07Speaker 4: it's trippy, and I feel like there wasn't there like
- 3:09Speaker 4: a lawsuit or something like that. It was like little
- 3:12Speaker 4: Dirk or some some of these rappers where they rap
- 3:15Speaker 4: about what could be considered like possible crimes that maybe
- 3:19Speaker 4: they committed people that they were around, and they literally
- 3:22Speaker 4: like are trying to like pass a law where people
- 3:24Speaker 4: can't prosecute because of the lyrics in their songs and
- 3:27Speaker 4: David sings about.
- 3:29Speaker 3: Like, oh my gosh, she has her music video.
- 3:31Speaker 2: It's like, yeah, it's really disturbing, and I feel like
- 3:35Speaker 2: this is gonna be one of those like trials that
- 3:37Speaker 2: is it's huge, Like people are watching this one really closely.
- 3:40Speaker 2: In the meantime, Lego.
- 3:42Speaker 3: Is bringing back the X Files.
- 3:43Speaker 2: They're bringing The X Files back to life with a
- 3:46Speaker 2: brand new over fourteen hundred piece sets celebrating the sci
- 3:50Speaker 2: fi series. Jillian Anderson. She returned as Dana Scully to
- 3:53Speaker 2: help watch it in a fun new ad where she's
- 3:55Speaker 2: like unboxing them.
- 3:57Speaker 1: You gotta be kidding me.
- 4:00Speaker 3: Multiple components, interlocking system, I don't remember you being so small.
- 4:08Speaker 3: Nice to be my favorite show of all time. I
- 4:10Speaker 3: love that show.
- 4:11Speaker 2: The set goes on sale August fourth. It's going to
- 4:14Speaker 2: be two hundred bucks, so it's a pricey one, but
- 4:17Speaker 2: Lego insiders are getting early access few days before this
- 4:19Speaker 2: is like one of those collector series, and that's three
- 4:22Speaker 2: things you need to know.
- 4:23Speaker 1: There's a post going viral online. I thought it was
- 4:26Speaker 1: really interesting. It says that every three years or so,
- 4:30Speaker 1: a new water bottle brand comes out and women go
- 4:33Speaker 1: crazy over it, so much so that has become a
- 4:36Speaker 1: part of their personality. So I actually have a list
- 4:41Speaker 1: of the history of water bottles, when they came out
- 4:43Speaker 1: and how women would trazy over it.
- 4:45Speaker 3: Yeah, what was the first water bottle I've already left.
- 4:48Speaker 3: I'm gonna tell you right now.
- 4:49Speaker 1: From the nineteen seventies to the two thousands, it was
- 4:51Speaker 1: a water bottle called Nalgene or nal Gene.
- 4:55Speaker 3: I don't know what that is. I'm gonna look it
- 4:56Speaker 3: up right now.
- 4:57Speaker 1: In the twenty ten the twenty sixteen was the camel
- 5:00Speaker 1: Back Eddie. The camel Back twenty sixteen to twenty nineteen
- 5:05Speaker 1: was called s Well Swell.
- 5:07Speaker 4: Swell, Yeah, they're still around.
- 5:10Speaker 1: Twenty nineteen to twenty twenty one, hydroflask, oh yeah, twenty
- 5:15Speaker 1: twenty to twenty twenty two. The Yettie Rambler twenty twenty
- 5:20Speaker 1: one to twenty twenty two is called simple Modern. Twenty
- 5:24Speaker 1: two to twenty four, the Stanley. That's what it started
- 5:29Speaker 1: to get my attention. Yeah, people going crazy with the Stanley's.
- 5:32Speaker 4: Well, because people were reselling them for like hundreds of
- 5:35Speaker 4: dollars for these limited edition colors.
- 5:37Speaker 1: The water bottle that everyone's drinking now that they say
- 5:39Speaker 1: women are going crazy for it is called a wala.
- 5:41Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, would you guys agree with all that?
- 5:44Speaker 4: Oh?
- 5:44Speaker 2: Yeah, theas Nick has one right now. But yeah, the
- 5:47Speaker 2: awalas are like I asked, Addie, this was like two
- 5:51Speaker 2: years ago though, like we're just getting around to it,
- 5:53Speaker 2: but like two years ago I asked, I'm like, do
- 5:55Speaker 2: you want to Stanley for school this year?
- 5:57Speaker 3: It's just like Stanley's are out.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Wall No, it was right, but Stanley ended in twenty
- 6:02Speaker 1: twenty four, so twenty twenty four until present is a lot.
- 6:04Speaker 1: So ADDIE's right on target.
- 6:06Speaker 4: Because all of these water boil companies they just like,
- 6:08Speaker 4: I mean, the thing with the Stanley's is that they leak,
- 6:11Speaker 4: you spill them.
- 6:11Speaker 2: They leak, but now they have leak proof caps to
- 6:14Speaker 2: they they've changed up their lids. They did, and I
- 6:17Speaker 2: think it's because it was like the hydroflask were coming
- 6:19Speaker 2: back in and then a Wallace came and took over
- 6:21Speaker 2: because they have like a totally different lid Battles.
- 6:24Speaker 3: You guys agree with everything that's good.
- 6:25Speaker 1: Yeah,
