- 0:00Speaker 1: Mister New York Mark Simo on the Voice of New
- 0:04Speaker 1: York seven to w o R. Hey, it's right, a
- 0:11Speaker 1: a lot to get to this hour. We'll get to
- 0:14Speaker 1: We'll get to the national anthem, the Mets. It was disaster.
- 0:18Speaker 1: There have been some incidents through the years of people
- 0:20Speaker 1: trying to sing the national anthem, famous singers and screwing up.
- 0:23Speaker 1: But boy, that was a disaster yesterday. And we'll get
- 0:27Speaker 1: to Paul McCartney and a whole lot more. Hey, speaking
- 0:29Speaker 1: of a disaster. That crazy Don Lemon goes out on
- 0:34Speaker 1: you know, he's doing this out on the street kind
- 0:36Speaker 1: of thing, interviewing people. Don Lemon, formerly of CNN, now
- 0:40Speaker 1: fired one of these, you know, Megan Kelly, Tucker, Carlson
- 0:44Speaker 1: doing a show from his living room. So and it
- 0:49Speaker 1: looks you can build yourself a little set, but people
- 0:52Speaker 1: can see you're in your living room, where you're in
- 0:53Speaker 1: your bedroom, and your bottom half is still in your pajamas.
- 0:57Speaker 1: But he's been doing this, going out in the street
- 0:59Speaker 1: interviewing people looks a little better. So he's going out
- 1:02Speaker 1: there trying to get people to bad mouth the war,
- 1:06Speaker 1: the war in Iran. He goes out, what do you
- 1:08Speaker 1: think of the going to Warner and once people all
- 1:10Speaker 1: upset about it. Well, he makes the mistake of stopping
- 1:13Speaker 1: an Iranian, a Persian in America. How do you feel
- 1:16Speaker 1: about the war?
- 1:17Speaker 2: I'm Persian, so i'm i'm I support Donald Trump. There's
- 1:22Speaker 2: a lot of regime kills women. They killed fifty thousand
- 1:25Speaker 2: people in two days. A lot of them believe death
- 1:28Speaker 2: in all of Americans. So I'm I'm fully undred percent
- 1:32Speaker 2: support Donald Trump.
- 1:35Speaker 1: Lemon looking a little stunned. Yeah, the problem is you
- 1:39Speaker 1: get these uh Trump haters. There's some on the right too.
- 1:43Speaker 1: You'll hear them say, uh, he hasn't explained why we're there.
- 1:47Speaker 1: He can he has not explained why we're there. Well,
- 1:49Speaker 1: I don't think anybody normal people really don't need an explanation.
- 1:53Speaker 1: It's the most evil regime in the world. It's a
- 1:56Speaker 1: threat to Israel, it's a threat to the Middle East,
- 1:58Speaker 1: it's a threat to us. There be find terrorism. There
- 2:02Speaker 1: are the biggest terrorist sponsors in the world, from the
- 2:04Speaker 1: Hoodies to Hesbala to Hamas. Horrible, horrible, horrible terrorst state.
- 2:09Speaker 1: They're the most brutal regime, evil brutal regime on earth.
- 2:13Speaker 1: If you're gay, they shoot you on site. If you're
- 2:16Speaker 1: a woman and you don't wear a head covering, you
- 2:18Speaker 1: get shot if you protest, you know, talking about these
- 2:23Speaker 1: no Kings protests. If in Iran you go out and protest,
- 2:26Speaker 1: you will be shot in the street. And in the
- 2:29Speaker 1: last round, before we started the bombing, they went out
- 2:32Speaker 1: and shot a lot of protesters, only to find out
- 2:35Speaker 1: some of them didn't die, they were in the hospital.
- 2:38Speaker 1: This is absolutely true. So the Iranian Republican guard went
- 2:41Speaker 1: into the hospitals and there's these people in a hospital
- 2:45Speaker 1: bed with ivs and strapped in. They went into the
- 2:47Speaker 1: hospital and shot them right in the face. This is
- 2:51Speaker 1: who the Iranian government was. So it's not that hard
- 2:54Speaker 1: to figure out why we're there now. If you watch
- 2:57Speaker 1: President Trump, he's on the five yesterday, and even their
- 2:59Speaker 1: kinds of why Maga base is torn apart about this?
- 3:02Speaker 1: And isn't this against everything you stood for? Aren't you
- 3:07Speaker 1: supposed to be against foreign wars, foreign intervention? This isn't
- 3:11Speaker 1: America first. Yeah, well, all that's true. But if you
- 3:15Speaker 1: watch interviews with Donald Trump for the last forty six years,
- 3:20Speaker 1: he has said over and over and over and over
- 3:23Speaker 1: again that we got to get rid of the Iatola
- 3:24Speaker 1: and get rid of Iran. He's been saying that literally
- 3:27Speaker 1: for forty six years. Forty seven years ago, the Iranians
- 3:32Speaker 1: took our Iatota, took over, they took Americans hostage, and
- 3:36Speaker 1: about a year after that, Trump started in on this.
- 3:38Speaker 1: You can find an interview from forty six years ago
- 3:40Speaker 1: where he said he would do this, and every year
- 3:43Speaker 1: since he said he would do this. Hate Tomorrow, believe
- 3:48Speaker 1: it or not. What's tomorrow twenty eighth, Saturday, March twenty
- 3:52Speaker 1: eighth is No King's Day and protesters will be all
- 3:57Speaker 1: over the place with the No Kings protest. Of course
- 4:00Speaker 1: in the middle of New York and other major cities,
- 4:02Speaker 1: but even if you're way out in the middle of
- 4:04Speaker 1: nowhere in Connecticut, middle of nowhere in Vermont, there will
- 4:09Speaker 1: be No Kings protests. I don't know what the hell
- 4:12Speaker 1: they're protesting. I don't know what king they're talking about.
- 4:17Speaker 1: I could see if you were in England having a
- 4:18Speaker 1: No King's protest, although they kind of like that King.
- 4:21Speaker 1: But they're back at it again. But you can make
- 4:27Speaker 1: fun of how silly the thing is. No Kings, but
- 4:29Speaker 1: it's left wing democrats. They need a chance to go
- 4:32Speaker 1: out in the street, wave signs, yell and scream and
- 4:36Speaker 1: it looks good on TV. It looks like people hate Trump.
- 4:39Speaker 1: And that's the whole point. Just make it look like
- 4:41Speaker 1: everybody hates Trump. Although if you watch these No Kings protests,
- 4:45Speaker 1: they don't look like your neighbors. They don't look like
- 4:48Speaker 1: the people you work with. They look like a bunch
- 4:50Speaker 1: of wackos, the nosering crowd, the green haired, nose ring
- 4:53Speaker 1: crowd out there yelling and screaming. So that's the whole point,
- 4:58Speaker 1: to make Donald Trump look like everything he's talking about
- 5:01Speaker 1: is just wrong. The idea that you would have to
- 5:03Speaker 1: show identification to vote, what this sounds insane to them? Now,
- 5:10Speaker 1: remember if the illegals were all voting, Republican Democrats would
- 5:15Speaker 1: be demanding photo ID, fingerprints, DNA scans just to vote.
- 5:20Speaker 1: So if you want to get have you gotten one
- 5:22Speaker 1: of those enhanced driver's licenses? You know, when you can
- 5:24Speaker 1: get your regular New York state driver's license or any state,
- 5:27Speaker 1: you can now get the enhanced license or you can
- 5:31Speaker 1: get the real ID. When you got one of those
- 5:32Speaker 1: kind of licenses, you can use that in the airport.
- 5:36Speaker 1: It gets you through faster. Some countries you can go
- 5:39Speaker 1: into without a passport, just with that real ID and
- 5:42Speaker 1: going to Canada, Mexico without a passport. But to get
- 5:46Speaker 1: one you got to show some stuff. You got to
- 5:50Speaker 1: show a passport, You got to show a birth certificate.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Now all over the Democrats, all over television are trying
- 5:55Speaker 1: to say this is ridiculous. It is voter suppression because
- 5:59Speaker 1: nobody can get a birth certificate. Most people wouldn't even
- 6:02Speaker 1: know where their birth certificate is. Even this crazy Mika
- 6:05Speaker 1: Brazinski looks into the canvass. I don't know where my
- 6:08Speaker 1: birth certificate is. I can't vote. I could well, I'm
- 6:13Speaker 1: trying to think. I think I know where my birth
- 6:14Speaker 1: certificate is. But even if you lost it, even if
- 6:17Speaker 1: you haven't seen it in a million years, you can
- 6:19Speaker 1: get a replacement birth certificate. It takes a couple of seconds.
- 6:23Speaker 1: You can go to the Social Security Office website, or
- 6:28Speaker 1: there's like twenty five private companies you can go. Just
- 6:31Speaker 1: all you gotta do is Google replacement birth certificate. It'll
- 6:34Speaker 1: take you to a million sites. You don't have to
- 6:36Speaker 1: pay a few bucks, not a lot. You got to
- 6:38Speaker 1: pay a few bucks. Type in your information. It will
- 6:41Speaker 1: get you a replacement birth certificate from your home state.
- 6:45Speaker 1: It might take a week to show up, but it's
- 6:48Speaker 1: very easy to do. You can get a birth certificate,
- 6:51Speaker 1: a replacement Berthu's given to the second. But listen to
- 6:54Speaker 1: this montage of these democrats all over television.
- 6:56Speaker 3: Do you know where your birth certificate is?
- 6:59Speaker 1: Definitely not? I do minds in a lock.
- 7:01Speaker 4: Box at a Save Act.
- 7:02Speaker 5: You know what the Save Act would do require that
- 7:04Speaker 5: people show a birth certificate.
- 7:07Speaker 1: We cannot know where her original birth is, which under
- 7:10Speaker 1: the Save Act would get her kicked off the butter's rolls.
- 7:13Speaker 5: If I said, do you know where your birth certificate is?
- 7:16Speaker 5: I think most people would say no, idea, I don't know.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Again, to get that real ID, you got to bring
- 7:23Speaker 1: in your birth certificate. People are getting them all the time.
- 7:25Speaker 1: If you go to get your real ID, you'll notice
- 7:27Speaker 1: there's a line, a big long line of people with
- 7:30Speaker 1: a birth certificate in their hand. Hey, that's Savannah Guthrie.
- 7:35Speaker 1: Stuff boy. If you watched the NBC Nightly News last night,
- 7:39Speaker 1: they interviewed it was Hoda Kotti interviewing Savannah Guthrie. Obviously
- 7:44Speaker 1: she just breaks down and cries and it's NBC. I mean,
- 7:49Speaker 1: she's really really, really crying, I mean really emotional. It's
- 7:53Speaker 1: very tough to watch talking about her mother. So if
- 7:58Speaker 1: you're NBC, you say to yourself, when you look at
- 8:01Speaker 1: this in and you say, now, how could we exploit
- 8:03Speaker 1: this to the full maximum? Mind? What's the most we
- 8:05Speaker 1: could exploit this? Well, you break it into two parts,
- 8:09Speaker 1: so you get Thursday and Friday on the Today Show.
- 8:12Speaker 1: That way, you get two days of big ratings. And
- 8:15Speaker 1: then you say to yourself, let's run it on the
- 8:17Speaker 1: NBC Nightly News. Not a clip, not a one minute clip,
- 8:21Speaker 1: Let's run it for fifteen minutes in the middle. So
- 8:24Speaker 1: they did run it for fifteen minutes, and the Nightly
- 8:27Speaker 1: News last night is gut wrenching. You can't watch it
- 8:29Speaker 1: without crying. When she breaks down about her and then
- 8:33Speaker 1: she starts talking about she starts talking about when I
- 8:37Speaker 1: think it might have been my fault because I was
- 8:40Speaker 1: well known, and they thought, well, she's famous, she has money,
- 8:43Speaker 1: let's get her mother. She said, when I think that
- 8:47Speaker 1: my mother was kidnapped because of me, she was, I
- 8:49Speaker 1: just can't live with that. It's really powerful moving, but
- 8:54Speaker 1: NBC really exploiting the hell out of this. Now where
- 8:57Speaker 1: is the mother. It's two months now. She's on blood
- 9:01Speaker 1: pressure medicine, heart medicine, she's got a pacemaker, SE's on
- 9:05Speaker 1: all kinds of medication. She can barely walk. Savannah go
- 9:09Speaker 1: through revealing she most days couldn't even walk down to
- 9:12Speaker 1: her mailbox. So you can without the medicine. If you
- 9:18Speaker 1: need all that medicine, heart, blood pressure or cholesterol. Yeah,
- 9:22Speaker 1: you could go a bunch of weeks without it. But
- 9:25Speaker 1: it's doubtful that she's still alive. So she said that
- 9:31Speaker 1: they got lots of ransom notes. Most of them were fake,
- 9:33Speaker 1: but there's two that they believe were authentic. So why
- 9:36Speaker 1: didn't they, I mean, obviously would have paid the ransom.
- 9:39Speaker 1: Why didn't kidnappers follow up collect the ransom and then
- 9:42Speaker 1: release the mother or say where she is. Well, all
- 9:46Speaker 1: you can do is speculate. All you can do is guess.
- 9:50Speaker 1: I don't know. I mean, maybe she died and they
- 9:54Speaker 1: decided there was no point in continuing the kidnappers. But
- 9:59Speaker 1: even if she had died, still collect the money. I
- 10:02Speaker 1: think if I had a guess, I'd say there's two problems.
- 10:06Speaker 1: Problem Number one, they were going to get the payment
- 10:09Speaker 1: in crypto and all over the news when this came out,
- 10:13Speaker 1: they kept saying they'll be able to trace them through
- 10:15Speaker 1: the cryptocurrency. You can track down crypto currency. Now I
- 10:19Speaker 1: never knew that. We always assume that if you go
- 10:22Speaker 1: crypto it's totally anonymous, they can't find you. But not
- 10:26Speaker 1: only did it say all over the news, you can
- 10:28Speaker 1: be tracked through the crypto, but they said there have
- 10:30Speaker 1: been many cases where they've cracked the case by tracking
- 10:34Speaker 1: the crypto. So that might have scared off the kidnappers.
- 10:38Speaker 1: That might have ended the plan. Now could also be
- 10:42Speaker 1: the Frank Sinatra theory. Here. You know, in nineteen sixty three,
- 10:48Speaker 1: these two kidnappers in La they decided they would kidnap
- 10:52Speaker 1: the son of somebody famous and get millions in ransom.
- 10:56Speaker 1: And they decided on Bob Hope, who was the most
- 10:59Speaker 1: Wait a minute, sixty three, look at this. My stupid
- 11:03Speaker 1: Siri goes off. How did that happen? It's telling me
- 11:05Speaker 1: about Frank Sinatra, Junior. I don't need you, Siri to
- 11:08Speaker 1: tell me about it. So, but anyway, they're going to
- 11:10Speaker 1: kidnap Bob Hope's kids. That didn't work out. Then they
- 11:13Speaker 1: looked at Frank Sinatra and it turned out his son
- 11:16Speaker 1: was trying to be a singer and he wasn't in
- 11:18Speaker 1: the big leagues yet. He was traveling around touring, and
- 11:22Speaker 1: touring meant smaller towns and he would stay at small motels.
- 11:25Speaker 1: Easy to kidnap somebody out of a small motel, so
- 11:28Speaker 1: that's how they did it. They grabbed him in his
- 11:30Speaker 1: hotel room, and they kidnapped Frank Sinatra Junior in nineteen
- 11:34Speaker 1: sixty three, and they were going to get up millions
- 11:36Speaker 1: in ransom, but they didn't calculate it correctly because first
- 11:41Speaker 1: of all, it's Frank Sinatra. All of a sudden, they're
- 11:43Speaker 1: hearing in the news that the entire American mafia is
- 11:47Speaker 1: hunting for them. Now, that's a scary thought. And even
- 11:51Speaker 1: though Sinatra and Robert Kennedy were estranged, Kennedy called him immediately.
- 11:57Speaker 1: He was then the Attorney General. Androbert F. Kennedy said,
- 12:02Speaker 1: the entire FBI is on this. I'm personally supervising the
- 12:05Speaker 1: whole thing. We'll find him. So now you're the kidnappers,
- 12:09Speaker 1: you'll find out the entire American mafia is hunting you.
- 12:12Speaker 1: And the Attorney General himself and the entire Justice Department
- 12:16Speaker 1: FBI are after you. So the kidnappers panicked they decided
- 12:22Speaker 1: to just abandon this whole thing, that this was too
- 12:24Speaker 1: dangerous now, so they just drove Frank Sinatra Junior somewhere,
- 12:28Speaker 1: let him out of the car. I think it was
- 12:30Speaker 1: in somewhere in a park or wooded area. They let
- 12:33Speaker 1: him out. He wanted around a couple of blocks, found
- 12:36Speaker 1: a security guard for something, and the guard drove him
- 12:41Speaker 1: back home. But they just got scared when they found
- 12:43Speaker 1: out who was hunting for them. So it could have
- 12:45Speaker 1: been the same thing here with Savannah Guthrie. You figure
- 12:48Speaker 1: you'll kidnap the mother, you'll contact her, you'll get the money,
- 12:53Speaker 1: and that's now everything changes. It's suddenly the number one
- 12:56Speaker 1: story in the news. It's on the news twenty four
- 12:58Speaker 1: to seven. You find out the FBI is in town
- 13:02Speaker 1: hunting for you. And then remember the President of the
- 13:05Speaker 1: United States is on television saying, I personally am gonna
- 13:08Speaker 1: find her. I'm gonna put all my resources and all
- 13:11Speaker 1: my people on it. Well, they might have panicked and
- 13:14Speaker 1: just abandoned the whole thing.
- 13:16Speaker 6: Now.
- 13:16Speaker 1: In the case of Frank Sinatra Junior, he was like
- 13:19Speaker 1: twenty four years old and very healthy and was able
- 13:21Speaker 1: to get away. But the mother of Savannah Guthrie, not healthy,
- 13:27Speaker 1: would not be able to go in. Probably, if I
- 13:29Speaker 1: had a guess, probably died in the hands of the
- 13:31Speaker 1: kidnappers and they just panicked realized it's too dangerous trying
- 13:36Speaker 1: to collect the money. There have been kidnappings where the
- 13:40Speaker 1: person just never ever was found. Jimmy hoff is a
- 13:43Speaker 1: famous example. Back in the thirties, there was Judge Crater,
- 13:47Speaker 1: famous judge in New York, who was just gone. They
- 13:52Speaker 1: it's one hundred years later, we still don't know what
- 13:54Speaker 1: happened to him. There was Aton Pates. Now they did
- 13:56Speaker 1: find him, but it was about thirty five forty years later,
- 14:00Speaker 1: so who knows. Who knows? Hey, people in the Assembly,
- 14:05Speaker 1: these crazy left wing cooks, they're still pushing this bill
- 14:08Speaker 1: now that all lights in New York have to go
- 14:11Speaker 1: off at eleven o'clock. The lights inside your house are okay,
- 14:14Speaker 1: but all building lights all outside. This is absolutely ridiculous.
- 14:18Speaker 1: Your job is service. Take care of the potholes, run
- 14:22Speaker 1: the police. That's it's it's a service job. Stop telling
- 14:26Speaker 1: us how to run our lives. Oh, this just breaking,
- 14:31Speaker 1: Jill Biden is you know it's got secret service protection
- 14:35Speaker 1: former president, former president's wife. She was going through Philadelphia
- 14:39Speaker 1: International Airport with her Secret Service detail. Shots fired, big
- 14:44Speaker 1: alarm goes out. Well, they find out the Secret Service
- 14:49Speaker 1: agent shot himself in the leg. Now, Secret Service, ever
- 14:55Speaker 1: since Butler Pennsylvania, everybody's been looking at them as if
- 14:58Speaker 1: they're not the old Secret Service. This is a bungling,
- 15:02Speaker 1: messed up version of the Secret Service. Turns out the
- 15:05Speaker 1: police were there everything. It looks like the agent accidentally
- 15:08Speaker 1: shot himself in the leg. This is usually something only
- 15:11Speaker 1: happens with a dumb football player and a nightclub accidentally
- 15:15Speaker 1: shooting yourself in the leg. But it looks like a
- 15:17Speaker 1: Secret Service agent did it. Hey, Well, take some calls next.
- 15:20Speaker 1: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten is the number.
- 15:24Speaker 1: Give me a call. Eight hundred three two one zero
- 15:27Speaker 1: seven ten. Hey, if you're listening to Mark on the
- 15:30Speaker 1: iHeartRadio app, save time and dap the breset button. Now
- 15:34Speaker 1: Now back to the Mark Zimon Show on woor Hey,
- 15:40Speaker 1: let's say some calls. Eight hundred three two one zero
- 15:44Speaker 1: seven ten is the number. Let's go to Frank in Arizona. Frank,
- 15:47Speaker 1: how you doing?
- 15:49Speaker 6: Helly Mark, Mark, We'll listening to you I went online.
- 15:52Speaker 6: It took me exactly six minutes to get a copy
- 15:55Speaker 6: of my poll certificates. It quotes sixty seven dollars and
- 15:58Speaker 6: I'll have it in three days.
- 16:00Speaker 1: That that's unbelievable. You're a citizen. You're a citizen of
- 16:02Speaker 1: this country.
- 16:04Speaker 6: Yes, I am so.
- 16:07Speaker 1: Yeah. Now you must be some super genius to have
- 16:10Speaker 1: figured that out, because Mika Brazinski says she can't figure
- 16:13Speaker 1: out how to get a birth certificate.
- 16:15Speaker 6: So and I never went to college. That well, it's unbelievable.
- 16:19Speaker 1: That pretty easy to do. Well, you just went to
- 16:22Speaker 1: some there's a bunch of companies. They'll get your birth situate.
- 16:24Speaker 6: Oh god, there's a ton of them. Yeah, there's a
- 16:26Speaker 6: ton of them.
- 16:26Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, when you put what you put in your
- 16:30Speaker 1: name where you were born, that kind.
- 16:32Speaker 6: Of stit, Yes, exactly, that's it.
- 16:35Speaker 1: That's it.
- 16:35Speaker 6: You know, a hack and stap New Jersey was born
- 16:37Speaker 6: and uh yeah, so they said, well, since three days,
- 16:40Speaker 6: i'll have it.
- 16:41Speaker 1: Yeah and it's not there. All right, great call Frank. Yeah,
- 16:44Speaker 1: it's easy to do. You go to one of these sites.
- 16:47Speaker 1: You put in your birth date, date you were born,
- 16:50Speaker 1: where you're a city you were born, all that kind
- 16:53Speaker 1: of stuff. What state? And you'll get your birthipy. I
- 16:55Speaker 1: mean they'll charge you whatever it is, forty bucks or something,
- 16:57Speaker 1: but you'll get your birth certificate. Let's go to Randall
- 17:00Speaker 1: and Maryland. Randall, how you.
- 17:02Speaker 5: Doing good, Mark? Well? Les Moore got booed and opened
- 17:07Speaker 5: it down at Baltimore yesterday.
- 17:09Speaker 1: They still got a team there. Wow in Baltimore?
- 17:12Speaker 4: Wait?
- 17:13Speaker 1: Oh yeah no, but why did he get booed?
- 17:17Speaker 5: Why does he get booed because he's losing support and
- 17:21Speaker 5: his his act ain't working.
- 17:24Speaker 1: Yeah, and yeah, he's even.
- 17:27Speaker 5: The black population abandoned him because he wasn't in favor
- 17:31Speaker 5: of reparation stud.
- 17:33Speaker 1: Yeah, so you know, they kept talking about him for
- 17:37Speaker 1: twenty twenty eight. He'd be a presidential candidate. Apparently, Oh
- 17:40Speaker 1: I'm I'm so sick of him. Apparently he was under
- 17:43Speaker 1: serious consideration to be Kamala Harris's vice presidential pick, but
- 17:47Speaker 1: he did not pass the vetting. I don't know exactly why,
- 17:50Speaker 1: but apparently.
- 17:52Speaker 5: Oh yeah, his resume is full of holes.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Yeah, the vetting wasn't good. Well, thanks for calling you
- 17:57Speaker 1: know that crazy Mark Kelly, that angry, angry guy we
- 18:00Speaker 1: see all of a television bad mouthing Trump. Supposedly he
- 18:04Speaker 1: was on the list to be a Kamala vice president,
- 18:06Speaker 1: but they'd something in the vetting they didn't like, and
- 18:10Speaker 1: that was the end of that. Let's go to Aerin
- 18:12Speaker 1: in Indianapolis. Aeron, how you doing.
- 18:16Speaker 3: Doing good?
- 18:17Speaker 4: Mark?
- 18:17Speaker 3: Speaking of dollar bills, you're forgetting the probably the biggest
- 18:22Speaker 3: use of dollar bills, and that is if you have
- 18:25Speaker 3: you heard of the term tuckable ones?
- 18:28Speaker 1: The what tuckable ones? You're talking them?
- 18:29Speaker 5: On?
- 18:30Speaker 1: A strip club?
- 18:32Speaker 3: Well, yeah, I figured that would have bet your first example.
- 18:35Speaker 1: I don't know what strip club you go to, but
- 18:37Speaker 1: if you shove a dollar in there, you're just going
- 18:41Speaker 1: to get a dirty dollar. This is New York twenty's, fifties, hundreds.
- 18:51Speaker 3: Well, as a as a level driver, I used to
- 18:54Speaker 3: drive people to those clubs, and so that's how I
- 18:57Speaker 3: kind of learned how that practice work.
- 18:59Speaker 1: Oh yeah, you's a oh it must have been dollars.
- 19:01Speaker 1: Do you have strip clubs there? And where are you
- 19:02Speaker 1: in Indianapolis?
- 19:04Speaker 3: Indianapolis? We have a few them around here.
- 19:06Speaker 1: And what did the strippers? What do the strippers look like? Roseanne?
- 19:11Speaker 3: Well, yeah, there's some like that. It's it depends. There's
- 19:15Speaker 3: some higher classmanes, but.
- 19:18Speaker 1: And they look like so yeah, all right, thanks for calling.
- 19:24Speaker 1: Let's go to Mike in Florida. Mike, how you doing.
- 19:27Speaker 7: Good morning, Mark, Yes, Mike, you mentioned the passing of
- 19:31Speaker 7: Dash Crofts. Another guy who was in a similar bane
- 19:34Speaker 7: was Chip Taylor, who died the beginning.
- 19:36Speaker 1: Of the week. Who's Chip Taylor?
- 19:39Speaker 7: Hero? He's John Boyd's brother by birth. But he wrote
- 19:41Speaker 7: a wild thing. He wrote Angel of the Morning.
- 19:44Speaker 1: Oh okay, I got that.
- 19:48Speaker 7: Shows you how famous he was, was one of the
- 19:50Speaker 7: best jays in the world. Doesn't know who he is.
- 19:52Speaker 1: Well, I gotta be honest. I'm sitting here at iHeart
- 19:55Speaker 1: where on this floor we have the five biggest music
- 19:58Speaker 1: stations in the world, Z one hundreds over there, Light
- 20:01Speaker 1: FM and all these stations. If you walk down our hallways,
- 20:05Speaker 1: they have pictures in frames, hundreds of them along the
- 20:08Speaker 1: hallway of all the famous musical figures. I've walked up
- 20:12Speaker 1: and you'd be so impressed with these photos everybody in music.
- 20:16Speaker 1: You walk around here for hours, You're not going to
- 20:18Speaker 1: find a picture of Chip Taylor in any one of
- 20:19Speaker 1: those frames.
- 20:21Speaker 7: Maybe not even in John Voight's house, brother's house.
- 20:24Speaker 1: So I kind of feel bad for the guy. So
- 20:28Speaker 1: in today's world, if he says I'm Chip Taylor, who
- 20:31Speaker 1: I'm John Voight's brother, that's a probably says.
- 20:34Speaker 7: On this He did White wild Thing, though, which is
- 20:37Speaker 7: a great was one of the great songs of the sixties.
- 20:40Speaker 1: Yeah, it's okay, it's good, but it's twenty twenty six.
- 20:44Speaker 1: Go tell somebody you wrote wild Thing. They do won't
- 20:46Speaker 1: know what you're talking about. Although Angel in the Morning
- 20:49Speaker 1: there was a more recent hit version of it, right.
- 20:52Speaker 7: So right, it's like it's only fifty years old.
- 20:55Speaker 1: Yeah. The worst thing is to be somebody's brother, and
- 20:58Speaker 1: that's how you identify yourself.
- 20:59Speaker 7: So that's why he probably had to change his name.
- 21:02Speaker 1: Yeah, but on his driver's license he said brother Colma
- 21:05Speaker 1: John Voids.
- 21:06Speaker 7: So, hey, I have a quick question for so on
- 21:10Speaker 7: an opening day, I told one of the waitresses where
- 21:12Speaker 7: I go the infamous Soupy Sales joke about him taking
- 21:14Speaker 7: his girlfriend to the bull game, Uh, the baseball game.
- 21:18Speaker 7: Did you know Soupy did very well?
- 21:20Speaker 1: He was on He was on my show a million,
- 21:23Speaker 1: probably every two weeks for years and years and years
- 21:25Speaker 1: and years. And remember we did that the oldiest cruise
- 21:28Speaker 1: and when it was that two thousand and eight. That
- 21:31Speaker 1: was the last time he ever came out in public.
- 21:33Speaker 1: He came on the cruise with us. Wow, what is
- 21:36Speaker 1: what is the famous joke?
- 21:38Speaker 7: He took his golfriend to the baseball game? She kissed
- 21:41Speaker 7: me between the strokes. I kissed it between the strikes
- 21:43Speaker 7: and she kissed me between the.
- 21:45Speaker 1: Oh wait a minute, that's uh hard.
- 21:48Speaker 7: Alleged he got thrown off the air for that one. Yeah,
- 21:51Speaker 7: I can sleep wait back in the day.
- 21:53Speaker 1: All right, great call, Mike, thanks for calling. Say when
- 21:55Speaker 1: we come back speaking to music. The greatest DJ of
- 21:58Speaker 1: all time, the greatest living DJ, radio legend, Scott Shannon,
- 22:03Speaker 1: and we'll talk to him about that. Mets the national
- 22:06Speaker 1: anthem was a complete disaster. We'll get to that in
- 22:10Speaker 1: a moment. That and more coming up on seven ten Wrugged.
- 22:15Speaker 2: Into Everything, New York, Mark Simone on seven.
- 22:18Speaker 1: Ten wor Well, Scott Shannon, the radio legend, the greatest
- 22:25Speaker 1: living Djmie, this guy, the greatest program director. You know.
- 22:28Speaker 1: This guy created the Morning Zoo, He created Z one hundred,
- 22:31Speaker 1: he created all sorts of stuff. Number one morning man
- 22:34Speaker 1: in New York for decades. He's still on the air
- 22:37Speaker 1: on the true Oldies channel. And he's with us now,
- 22:40Speaker 1: Scott Shannon, how you doing?
- 22:43Speaker 4: Happy to be here with Mark Simone, the always napper
- 22:46Speaker 4: radio rapper, the wor powerhouse jock.
- 22:51Speaker 1: I never liked that term jock. You like it right,
- 22:54Speaker 1: A jock?
- 22:55Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't mind. I remember when I first came
- 22:57Speaker 4: to New York and my friend Ross Britten was with
- 23:02Speaker 4: me on and I picked him up because he had
- 23:06Speaker 4: been let loose by w A b C Radio. They
- 23:10Speaker 4: were doing talk radio. Remember when they did talk radio?
- 23:13Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I mean on their back now.
- 23:17Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 23:17Speaker 4: But and then, but he used to say, don't call
- 23:20Speaker 4: me a DJ. I'm talent here in New York. You're
- 23:24Speaker 4: not a jockey or talent. I said, no, no, your talent.
- 23:28Speaker 4: I'm a freaking DJ. And don't you help forget it?
- 23:35Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 23:36Speaker 4: Oh, he had an agent and everything. I didn't know
- 23:39Speaker 4: what I was doing. I just stumbled in from Tampa
- 23:42Speaker 4: and got pretty lucky, I guess. But last night the
- 23:46Speaker 4: iHeartRadio Music Awards in Hollywood, and of course you know
- 23:52Speaker 4: who the big winner was, Gilbert O.
- 23:54Speaker 1: Sullivan.
- 23:56Speaker 4: Taylor swelled, yeah, yeah, well but wait a minute. She
- 24:01Speaker 4: really shook the place up when she showed up for
- 24:04Speaker 4: the first time at any awards bank Winner, any awards ceremonies.
- 24:09Speaker 4: She had her fiance Travis Kelcey with her.
- 24:12Speaker 1: Oh I think we have the clip. Wait a minute,
- 24:14Speaker 1: This album probably also feels very happy and confident and free,
- 24:17Speaker 1: because that's the way that I get to feel every
- 24:20Speaker 1: single day.
- 24:21Speaker 2: Of my life because my fiance, who's.
- 24:24Speaker 1: Here to.
- 24:27Speaker 4: That's a pretty good endorsement for Travis.
- 24:29Speaker 1: Huh yeah, Well, one career ending, another one starting.
- 24:34Speaker 4: But she makes me feel free. It's pretty good. That
- 24:40Speaker 4: was the first time they have ever appeared at, you know,
- 24:43Speaker 4: one of those ceremonies.
- 24:45Speaker 1: How long do you give this marriage?
- 24:49Speaker 4: I think it's since, you know. I'm on the positive side.
- 24:52Speaker 4: I think they'll be fine. I mean, I mean, he
- 24:58Speaker 4: before he met her a real goofball and playboy, and
- 25:02Speaker 4: he kind of calmed down quite a bit. And hey,
- 25:06Speaker 4: he's got Taylor and they're gonna get married and it's
- 25:08Speaker 4: gonna hopefully they'll live happily ever after. But she got
- 25:12Speaker 4: seven awards last night, the most anybody ever got. And
- 25:17Speaker 4: I don't know, maybe I don't know how many. I
- 25:19Speaker 4: don't know how many, you know, heavy competitors she was
- 25:22Speaker 4: up against.
- 25:23Speaker 3: But the big.
- 25:24Speaker 4: News in the music world is a new Paul McCartney album.
- 25:29Speaker 4: This one's a little bit different than the ones he's
- 25:32Speaker 4: done before, because this time he goes back in time
- 25:36Speaker 4: and talks about himself and meeting John Lennon and the
- 25:41Speaker 4: fact that they grew up together. The name of the
- 25:43Speaker 4: albums the Boys of Dungeon Lane, and it's all about
- 25:48Speaker 4: meeting together and sticking together writing all those songs. And
- 25:53Speaker 4: he's got fourteen tracks on this album. You can get
- 25:56Speaker 4: away with nine or ten easily these days, but he's
- 25:59Speaker 4: got fourteen tracks. Comes out May twenty ninth, and the
- 26:04Speaker 4: first single from the album is kind of like snuck out.
- 26:09Speaker 4: It's called The Days We Left Behind. Here's a little
- 26:13Speaker 4: clip from Doe You like it?
- 26:15Speaker 1: Nope? Wait here it is.
- 26:18Speaker 4: Glad you like it.
- 26:19Speaker 1: That's McCartney playing right. Yeah, so far, so good.
- 26:24Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 26:25Speaker 4: I think it flashes back, but I mean it's got
- 26:28Speaker 4: it's got a great theme to it, and it's you know,
- 26:31Speaker 4: it's him, kind of I guess, pouring forth about him
- 26:37Speaker 4: growing up when they were kids, and I don't know,
- 26:40Speaker 4: you saw the series where he took back. He went
- 26:44Speaker 4: back and showed everybody where he lived and some of
- 26:47Speaker 4: the pubs he would sing in and all that kind
- 26:50Speaker 4: of thing. I think this is going to be probably
- 26:54Speaker 4: the best album he's done in a few years.
- 26:57Speaker 1: Well all right, but he didn't set the bar very
- 26:59Speaker 1: high album in the last few years. And I don't
- 27:01Speaker 1: mean I'm not picking on him. It's just when you're
- 27:03Speaker 1: the superstar legend elder Statesman Mick Jagger, Billy Joel, Paul McCartney,
- 27:08Speaker 1: you can tour the world and it's incredible, but you're
- 27:10Speaker 1: not gonna have hit albums anymore, are you?
- 27:13Speaker 3: No?
- 27:13Speaker 4: You know, now, that's what I remember. Billy actually told
- 27:18Speaker 4: me this when uh he was talking to Elton john
- 27:22Speaker 4: and and and Elton Johns. I'm busy working on my
- 27:26Speaker 4: new album, Billy, and Billy said, once you just open
- 27:29Speaker 4: up the window and piss out and throw all your
- 27:31Speaker 4: money out the window. He didn't know, you know, he said,
- 27:35Speaker 4: people want to hear our old songs. Elton, Yeah, and
- 27:40Speaker 4: you know, and that's how that's how most you see
- 27:44Speaker 4: people like you know, Death Leopard, they work hard. They
- 27:47Speaker 4: put this new album out. He probably didn't even.
- 27:49Speaker 1: Know what out there, did you, Paul McCartney, Where where
- 27:53Speaker 1: is this going to get played? This album.
- 27:57Speaker 4: He doesn't need. No, they're not going to play it
- 28:00Speaker 4: Z one hundred and it's not an oldie, so you
- 28:02Speaker 4: can't play it on my network. But you know, I'll
- 28:05Speaker 4: play it a couple of times and enjoy it, and
- 28:07Speaker 4: I hope it turns out. You know, like you said,
- 28:10Speaker 4: he's Paul McCartney. He's going to sell out. There's no
- 28:13Speaker 4: doubt about it. Yeah, that's that's and this is good.
- 28:16Speaker 4: And he's really working on a marketing this one because it's
- 28:20Speaker 4: very special to him. And you can get it, get
- 28:23Speaker 4: it in vinyl. He's got seven different color vinyl albums
- 28:28Speaker 4: you can order. Okay, I know, don't pick your color,
- 28:35Speaker 4: all right, So I tell you.
- 28:36Speaker 1: So you're downe with Paul, somebody should tell him. Maybe
- 28:39Speaker 1: it's twenty twenty six, Maybe tell him let him know.
- 28:42Speaker 4: Yeah, I will. You know what, I think it's going
- 28:44Speaker 4: to be a number one album. I really do.
- 28:46Speaker 1: You're the expert. Hey, right, great, that's yesterday.
- 28:53Speaker 4: That was crazy, wasn't it.
- 28:54Speaker 1: People have messed up the national anthem before, but this
- 28:56Speaker 1: guy is a big Broadway star. To be on Broadway
- 28:59Speaker 1: every night, you got to be good at memorizing lyrics.
- 29:02Speaker 1: What happened?
- 29:02Speaker 4: He was George. I think he played George Washington, didn't he? Yeah,
- 29:06Speaker 4: I think that Christopher Jackson his name. He's got a
- 29:09Speaker 4: Tony on his mantel at home, and he's he's he
- 29:14Speaker 4: did the nation Lanthom at the Yankees before he knows.
- 29:17Speaker 1: What he's doing.
- 29:18Speaker 4: But he had a little bit of a glitch in
- 29:21Speaker 4: City Field. Here's what it sounded like, what's so proudly we.
- 29:28Speaker 1: Had the twilight last?
- 29:31Speaker 3: To me?
- 29:33Speaker 1: Who's broad strives and ride stars through the pad? Fine,
- 29:43Speaker 1: what's so proudly? Wors so gwy Street crowd booing a
- 29:55Speaker 1: little there?
- 29:55Speaker 4: So well, I got to tell you something. He came.
- 30:00Speaker 4: He really handled it well. He talked to TMS Sports.
- 30:05Speaker 4: He said that will not keep him from doing the
- 30:08Speaker 4: national anthem in the future. He said, I've done the
- 30:12Speaker 4: national anthem countless times in stadiums around the country. Today
- 30:17Speaker 4: was a beautiful opening day and I was thrilled to
- 30:20Speaker 4: be there. He said. Look, he says, I'm human, but
- 30:24Speaker 4: I won't hesitate to step up to a microphone and
- 30:27Speaker 4: paid tribute to those that we honor with the anthem,
- 30:30Speaker 4: So you know, it does happen.
- 30:33Speaker 1: He played George Washington and Hamilton, but in his defense.
- 30:36Speaker 1: When George Washington was present, there was no national anthem.
- 30:39Speaker 1: It wasn't written until years later.
- 30:41Speaker 4: But he's not really George.
- 30:43Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, that's true.
- 30:46Speaker 4: But I got to tell you the greatest story that
- 30:50Speaker 4: I've seen in a long time happened what last week?
- 30:55Speaker 4: It was a guy the quadra is a quadruple ampute.
- 31:00Speaker 4: He who happens to also be a professional corn hole player.
- 31:06Speaker 4: What he Yeah, you mustn't miss this, Dayton Weber. He's
- 31:11Speaker 4: like twenty seven years old. He's got no arms and
- 31:14Speaker 4: no legs and he hadn't had him. He had some
- 31:17Speaker 4: kind of fever when he was a kid, and an
- 31:19Speaker 4: infection and all that. They took off his arms and legs.
- 31:22Speaker 4: But he doesn't let that stop him. He actually goes
- 31:27Speaker 4: to the firing range. He can shoot a gun. He
- 31:31Speaker 4: plays cornhole, he loves it. But Sunday night in Maryland,
- 31:36Speaker 4: he was riding along right, He's driving the damn car.
- 31:40Speaker 4: Remember he's got no arms and no lady. He's driving
- 31:43Speaker 4: the car. He's got a guy riding shotgun, two guys
- 31:46Speaker 4: in the back seat. Somehow he got into an argument
- 31:50Speaker 4: with the guy in the front seat with him. He
- 31:53Speaker 4: pulled out a gun and shoots him while he's driving
- 31:56Speaker 4: down the road. He kills him.
- 31:59Speaker 1: So he drive a car with what what does he
- 32:03Speaker 1: drive the car with?
- 32:04Speaker 4: I don't know. Maybe he's driving a Tesla, I don't know,
- 32:07Speaker 4: one of those self drive cars. But listen to this.
- 32:10Speaker 4: He pulls over. The two guys in the backseat of
- 32:13Speaker 4: all ready to poop their pants. He just shot a guy.
- 32:17Speaker 4: He murdered a guy in the front seat. He tells
- 32:20Speaker 4: him to get out and take the body with him.
- 32:24Speaker 4: They said, no, tell you what, we're going to get out,
- 32:26Speaker 4: but we're not taking the body. They take off running
- 32:30Speaker 4: and I don't know how long they ran, but they
- 32:33Speaker 4: ran into a top car and they told them what
- 32:37Speaker 4: was going on. Now, this is Dayton Weber. The guy
- 32:41Speaker 4: he shot was Braderick Michael Wells twenty seven, both twenty seven.
- 32:47Speaker 4: And then what happened. I don't know how he did
- 32:50Speaker 4: this either. He pulled into a residential area and somehow
- 32:55Speaker 4: managed to get the body out of the front seat
- 32:58Speaker 4: into some guy's yard.
- 33:01Speaker 1: All right, sounds like an episode of Breaking Bad. Sounds
- 33:03Speaker 1: like Walter White.
- 33:04Speaker 4: Wait, wait, min it's not over yet. He keeps driving.
- 33:09Speaker 4: He drives the Charlottesville Virgini and no one's caught him yet.
- 33:13Speaker 4: He checked in, he went in and check it and
- 33:15Speaker 4: he went into the emergency room at the hospital. He
- 33:18Speaker 4: needed treatment for something. I don't know what it was,
- 33:21Speaker 4: and that's where the cops got him. But I mean,
- 33:25Speaker 4: think about that just for a second. It's hard to
- 33:28Speaker 4: even drive a car. And then he shoots a guy
- 33:30Speaker 4: and then he pulled him out of the car, jumps
- 33:33Speaker 4: him in somebody's yard.
- 33:35Speaker 1: Unbelievable. Hey, Scott Chennan, we're out of time. We'll have
