• 0:20
Speaker 1: top fifteen passing yard leaders from that incredible season. Let's
• 0:23
Speaker 1: get right into this explainer now, just to set the
• 0:27
Speaker 1: stage here, in today's NFL, we regularly see multiple quarterbacks
• 0:32
Speaker 1: effortlessly breeze past the forty five hundred yard mark. Right,
• 0:35
Speaker 1: It's kind of just the norm now, But back in
• 0:38
Speaker 1: two thousand, reaching four thousand yards was a monumental, exceptionally
• 0:44
Speaker 1: rare freed. Seriously, it really puts into perspective just how
• 0:48
Speaker 1: special the guys at the top of our list were.
• 0:51
Speaker 1: All right, let's kick things off with the climb. We're
• 0:54
Speaker 1: starting with quarterbacks fifteen through twelve, the dynamic athletes who
• 0:57
Speaker 1: laid the foundation for the modern offenses we see today.
• 1:01
Speaker 1: Coming in at number fifteen, we've got Steve McNair of
• 1:04
Speaker 1: the Tennessee Titans with twenty eight hundred and forty seven
• 1:07
Speaker 1: passing yards. He barely sneaks into our countdown, but man
• 1:11
Speaker 1: McNair brought that legendary toughness. He perfectly balanced his passing
• 1:16
Speaker 1: with a super dangerous running ability, consistently keeping the Titans
• 1:19
Speaker 1: right there in the AFC hunt and flashing that future
• 1:22
Speaker 1: MVP potential. And right alongside him at number fourteen is
• 1:26
Speaker 1: the Arizona Cardinals Jake the Snake Plumber. He had two
• 1:29
Speaker 1: nine hundred and forty six yards. Plumber sneaks in with
• 1:32
Speaker 1: this thrilling, totally fearless mobility that just produced massive plays.
• 1:36
Speaker 1: He made every single game exciting, even on a pretty
• 1:39
Speaker 1: struggling Cardinals team. Moving right along to thirteen and twelve.
• 1:43
Speaker 1: At thirteen, we have Drew Bledsoe of the Patriots, delivering
• 1:46
Speaker 1: big numbers three two hundred and ninety one yards. Armed
• 1:50
Speaker 1: with one of the absolute strongest arms in football, he
• 1:53
Speaker 1: eclipsed three thousand yards, even though the team finished with
• 1:56
Speaker 1: a rough five and eleven record. And remember this was
• 1:59
Speaker 1: just one year before NFL history forever changed in New England.
• 2:03
Speaker 1: Then a number twelve, we've got a young Donovan McNabb,
• 2:05
Speaker 1: establishing his cannon arm and elite mobility as the undeniable
• 2:09
Speaker 1: face of the Philadelphia Eagles. He threw for three thousand,
• 2:12
Speaker 1: three hundred and sixty five yards, led Philly back into
• 2:15
Speaker 1: playoff contention, and honestly, his best football was absolutely still
• 2:19
Speaker 1: ahead of him. Okay, what's truly fascinating about these next
• 2:22
Speaker 1: two spots is the razor thin margin. Kurt Warner, the
• 2:26
Speaker 1: absolute leader of the greatest show on turf through for
• 2:29
Speaker 1: three four hundred and twenty nine yards. He was directing
• 2:32
Speaker 1: one of football's most explosive offenses despite dealing with some injuries.
• 2:35
Speaker 1: But then veteran Rich Gannon actually edged him out for
• 2:38
Speaker 1: the number ten spot by a single incredible yard yep,
• 2:42
Speaker 1: four hundred and thirty yards. Gennin just flourished in John
• 2:45
Speaker 1: Gruden's Raiders offense with these lightning quick decisions and precision
• 2:49
Speaker 1: passing that really showcased his leadership. The climb continues. Let's
• 2:53
Speaker 1: dive into quarterbacks nine through six, featuring a really fascinating
• 2:57
Speaker 1: mix of underrated heroes and ageless veterans. At number nine,
• 3:01
Speaker 1: Carrie Collins quietly put together one of the absolute finest
• 3:04
Speaker 1: seasons of his career with three thousand, six hundred and
• 3:07
Speaker 1: ten yards. He masterfully guided the New York Giants all
• 3:10
Speaker 1: the way to the Super Bowl with some incredibly accurate passing.
• 3:14
Speaker 1: And then at number eight we have Mark Brunell of
• 3:16
Speaker 1: the Jaguars checking in with three thousand, six hundred and
• 3:19
Speaker 1: forty yards. This guy proved once again why he was
• 3:22
Speaker 1: one of the league's most consistently underrated stars. His combination
• 3:25
Speaker 1: of mobility, accuracy, and sheer toughness kept Jacksonville highly competitive
• 3:30
Speaker 1: all season long. Now, when we hit number seven and six,
• 3:33
Speaker 1: the story becomes all about longevity and another incredibly close race.
• 3:38
Speaker 1: Carolina Steve boyer Land continued this massive career resurgence in
• 3:42
Speaker 1: his mid thirties, throwing for three thousand, seven hundred and
• 3:44
Speaker 1: thirty yards to land at number seven. But get this,
• 3:47
Speaker 1: thirty seven year old Vinni testa Verde amazingly beat him
• 3:50
Speaker 1: out for the number six spot by merely two passing yards.
• 3:53
Speaker 1: Testa Verde finished at three thousand, seven hundred and thirty
• 3:56
Speaker 1: two for the Jets. His powerful arm and veteran leadership
• 3:59
Speaker 1: were just on full display. It's a true testament to

Speaker 1: the longevity that allowed him to play twenty one NFL seasons. Seriously,
• 4:07
Speaker 1: twenty one seasons. All right, we have finally reached the summit.
• 4:11
Speaker 1: It's time to meet the true air attack Kings of
• 4:14
Speaker 1: the two thousand season our top five. Coming in at
• 4:17
Speaker 1: number five, the always feared Brett Farv delivered yet another
• 4:21
Speaker 1: outstanding season, throwing for three thousand, eight hundred and twelve yards.
• 4:25
Speaker 1: Farv's trademark gunslinger mentality meant he was always willing to
• 4:28
Speaker 1: take those high risk, high reward shots down the field
• 4:31
Speaker 1: and racking up those yards with that fearless style produced
• 4:34
Speaker 1: huge plays and unforgettable moments for the Green Bay Packers.
• 4:37
Speaker 1: His streak of durability and consistency made him an absolute
• 4:40
Speaker 1: nightmare for defenses every single year. Just ahead of Farv
• 4:44
Speaker 1: at number four, Dante Culpepper absolutely exploded onto the NFL
• 4:48
Speaker 1: scene for the Minnesota Vikings with three nine and thirty
• 4:52
Speaker 1: seven passing yards. I mean, this was a massive breakout season.
• 4:55
Speaker 1: Utilizing his rare combination of athleticism, size and arm strength
• 4:59
Speaker 1: plus you know, throwing to a young ranch of moss,

Speaker 1: Culpepper became nearly impossibly to defend. The Vikings definitively announced
• 5:06
Speaker 1: to the league that they had found their franchise quarterback.
• 5:09
Speaker 1: And now we finally crossed that incredibly rare four thousand
• 5:12
Speaker 1: yard threshold I mentioned at the start, four thousand, one
• 5:15
Speaker 1: hundred and sixty nine yards, and this belongs to an
• 5:18
Speaker 1: absolute shocker sitting at number three. That's right, Elvis Graback
• 5:23
Speaker 1: and named. Very few people expected to see this high
• 5:25
Speaker 1: up Grawback delivered what was arguably the biggest surprise of
• 5:28
Speaker 1: the two thousand season, earning a totally well deserved Pro
• 5:31
Speaker 1: Bowl selection. He put together the most efficient statistical season
• 5:35
Speaker 1: of his entire career for the Kansas City Chiefs. He
• 5:38
Speaker 1: completely blew past expectations, keeping the Chiefs offense among the
• 5:41
Speaker 1: league's absolute most productive. Such a wild season for him.
• 5:46
Speaker 1: Crossing the four thousand, two hundred yard mark brings us
• 5:48
Speaker 1: to the runner up spot in our countdown. We are
• 5:51
Speaker 1: talking four two hundred and seventy eight yards from a
• 5:54
Speaker 1: quarterback who completely shattered expectations and stepped into some massive,
• 5:58
Speaker 1: massive shoes. Number two T two is Jeff Garcia of
• 6:01
Speaker 1: the San Francisco forty nine Ers, bearing the enormous expectation
• 6:05
Speaker 1: of replacing Joe Montana's successor, Steve young Garcia responded brilliantly,
• 6:11
Speaker 1: throwing for over forty two hundred yards. He established himself
• 6:14
Speaker 1: as an elite, highly mobile talent, displaying tremendous accuracy and leadership.

Speaker 1: This was a true breakout season that firmly planted him
• 6:22
Speaker 1: right among the NFL's elite. And now the unquestioned passing

Speaker 1: king of the two thousand NFL season four four hundred
• 6:30
Speaker 1: thirteen yards number one, Peyton Manning, the Sheriff officially arrives.
• 6:36
Speaker 1: Still early in his legendary career, Peyton Manning showcased his
• 6:40
Speaker 1: renowned football intelligence, precision, and that relentless preparation for the
• 6:44
Speaker 1: Indianapolis Colts. Throwing for four thousand, four hundred and thirteen yards,
• 6:49
Speaker 1: he didn't just lead the league, he took a definitive,
• 6:52
Speaker 1: massive step toward his ultimate Hall of Fame destiny. Literally,
