- 0:00Speaker 1: Mm from grandmothers who whispered in their baby girl in
- 0:13Speaker 1: two fathers on dimly lit street corners, instructing young soldiers
- 0:16Speaker 1: to always keep their eyes open. You be queen, you
- 0:21Speaker 1: were fired. You will pass through centuries on the hands
- 0:24Speaker 1: of your daughters. They called you wisdom. Proverbs on the
- 0:28Speaker 1: backs of diamond eyed school children who growing into hymnals
- 0:32Speaker 1: recited by amethyst holding urban philosophers who recited neighborhood commandments
- 0:37Speaker 1: out of the windows of restored Alchemedo cheriots to keep
- 0:40Speaker 1: the warmth of their blood. Be wise, be smart, being black.
- 0:46Speaker 1: Opal Brown courts bloodstone and prayer. Be every form of
- 0:50Speaker 1: jim se King told, scribe, scribe, told son, son, told wife,
- 0:57Speaker 1: wife told her daughter, and daughter told the ant. And
- 1:00Speaker 1: the ancestors told me that you would come to give wisdom. Thousands.
- 1:06Speaker 1: They said you would come Dropping Dropping the Gym. Hey,
- 1:11Speaker 1: welcome back another episode of The Dropping Gym's podcast. I'm
- 1:14Speaker 1: your host, Debbie Brown. Today's show is going to be
- 1:18Speaker 1: a beautiful deep dive into the way that we experience
- 1:22Speaker 1: our mental health and our emotional health in our physical bodies.
- 1:28Speaker 1: Really excited for today's guests to talk about this, because
- 1:31Speaker 1: what I found on my journey is that it is
- 1:33Speaker 1: incredibly important to begin a practice of somatic experiencing within
- 1:39Speaker 1: any of the work we do. So whether we're doing
- 1:42Speaker 1: work for our mental good, you know, that could mean
- 1:45Speaker 1: that we're in cognitive therapy, or we're really which is
- 1:48Speaker 1: like talk based therapy, where we're really beginning to understand
- 1:52Speaker 1: how our lives have looked the way that they looked,
- 1:55Speaker 1: and what the mechanics and the functions of our bariences
- 2:00Speaker 1: have created inside of us. But then there's also the
- 2:03Speaker 1: energetic component, which is something that I feel so deeply
- 2:07Speaker 1: passionate about on this leg of my journey and have
- 2:09Speaker 1: found to be really the piece of the puzzle that
- 2:14Speaker 1: takes you into an accelerated path that really brings you
- 2:18Speaker 1: forward to do rapid fire healing and to accelerate your
- 2:22Speaker 1: activation of your highest consciousness and your highest self. So
- 2:25Speaker 1: within that, when we think about the understanding of somatic experiencing,
- 2:29Speaker 1: and we'll get into this with our guests today, I'm
- 2:31Speaker 1: so excited. This will be juicy. It's all about how
- 2:34Speaker 1: do we retrain our cells. So this is a part
- 2:38Speaker 1: of the conversation that is happening now and happening ever
- 2:42Speaker 1: so slowly in a bigger, bigger way um than it
- 2:46Speaker 1: ever has in human history. But it's about the effects
- 2:49Speaker 1: of our ancestry, the effects of our lineage, and the
- 2:52Speaker 1: effects of our trauma and our lifetimes, and how our
- 2:55Speaker 1: body takes it on, how that trauma, how that pain,
- 2:58Speaker 1: how those experience this can actually bury themselves in ourselves
- 3:03Speaker 1: and be this kind of unseen and unspoken layer that
- 3:08Speaker 1: needs healing that oftentimes we just didn't know existed. So
- 3:12Speaker 1: knowing about these depths and knowing about the way our
- 3:14Speaker 1: bodies and our systems integrate our healing helps us to
- 3:18Speaker 1: heal more fully, I believe, helps us to heal faster,
- 3:22Speaker 1: and helps us to heal in a way that really
- 3:25Speaker 1: provides a finality to it. So there's always a deepening
- 3:29Speaker 1: that is available to us. There's always more available on
- 3:33Speaker 1: our on our journey in terms of our healing and
- 3:36Speaker 1: um our expansion. When we dive into some of these
- 3:39Speaker 1: somatic practices, which is really integrating that mind, body soul connection,
- 3:45Speaker 1: we have the beautiful opportunity to really close karmic cycles
- 3:51Speaker 1: for good, for real, really into the patterns that we've
- 3:56Speaker 1: outgrown and walk ourselves out of the mental and emotional
- 3:59Speaker 1: loops that we often find ourselves in, and so you
- 4:03Speaker 1: know that's it's incredibly important to me in my journey. Um.
- 4:07Speaker 1: I share this a little bit on Instagram, but if
- 4:09Speaker 1: you haven't met me in person, you may not know this.
- 4:11Speaker 1: I keep my energy pristine, my energy and my force
- 4:16Speaker 1: field that is around me. My energetic force field is
- 4:20Speaker 1: the highest priority in my healing, and it's a non
- 4:23Speaker 1: negotiable for me. So that means I only place myself
- 4:26Speaker 1: in nourishing environments. I only give myself and give others
- 4:30Speaker 1: access to me in nourishing conversations, which does not mean
- 4:34Speaker 1: that the conversations have to go well or all about
- 4:37Speaker 1: positivity and rainbows and puppies. You know, I'm deeply committed
- 4:41Speaker 1: to shadow work and assisting others with shadow work, but
- 4:45Speaker 1: my healthy boundaries are so secure and so for me
- 4:49Speaker 1: to stay as dialed in as I am to divine
- 4:52Speaker 1: source into my gifts, into my life's purpose. My life
- 4:57Speaker 1: contains a lot of ritual in it, a lot of
- 5:00Speaker 1: energy clearing. Every day I take it very seriously. I
- 5:03Speaker 1: start my day clearing my energy, doing manifestation exercises, visualization,
- 5:08Speaker 1: my meditation, and I end my day cannot end my
- 5:12Speaker 1: day no matter how tired I am, how long it
- 5:14Speaker 1: was without cleansing my energy, clearing my energy and being
- 5:18Speaker 1: in deep prayer. And so those have been really powerful tools,
- 5:22Speaker 1: along with the energy work that I do as a
- 5:24Speaker 1: raiky Master and some of the systems that I've divined
- 5:27Speaker 1: designed in my work that I do with myself and
- 5:30Speaker 1: a small group of others. It's made all the difference,
- 5:35Speaker 1: and it's really changed the trajectory of my healing and
- 5:39Speaker 1: made it so robust and so juicy and so filling
- 5:43Speaker 1: and so on today's show, I'm really excited to bring
- 5:46Speaker 1: to the show David mccullor, who I had the beautiful
- 5:50Speaker 1: opportunity to connect with through our mutual friend Charlemagne, who
- 5:54Speaker 1: a few years ago, you know, said to me, Wow,
- 5:57Speaker 1: there's this mental health gym. You've got to know about it.
- 5:59Speaker 1: You've got to see it. I visited it, and so
- 6:02Speaker 1: I'm excited to dive in with David all about his company, Inception,
- 6:07Speaker 1: and all about how we are really going to manifest
- 6:12Speaker 1: and embody the fullness of our healing for the greater
- 6:15Speaker 1: goods of ourselves and the highest good of all concerned.
- 6:22Speaker 1: So today's guest David mccullor is joining the show the
- 6:26Speaker 1: founder and CEO of Inception, which is the world's first
- 6:30Speaker 1: mental health jim. The story of Inception began in two
- 6:33Speaker 1: thousand and six when David took the road less traveled
- 6:36Speaker 1: and used brain training, therapy and alternative health modality that
- 6:40Speaker 1: profoundly reduced symptoms from stress and traumatic events. David, Welcome
- 6:47Speaker 1: to the show. Thank you for having me. I was
- 6:50Speaker 1: excited about coming on, so I'm so hyped and I
- 6:53Speaker 1: told you know, I told the listeners when I got started.
- 6:56Speaker 1: You know, I first got connected through your work through Charlemagne,
- 6:59Speaker 1: who is such ah, I mean, just such a huge
- 7:02Speaker 1: mental health proponent, but especially in him speaking I'll never forget.
- 7:05Speaker 1: He called me and he was like, Yo, I gotta
- 7:08Speaker 1: tell you about this place that I just went to.
- 7:10Speaker 1: Was insane. Have you heard of a mental health gym? Um?
- 7:14Speaker 1: And it was so you know, it's such a This
- 7:18Speaker 1: space that you occupy is so revolutionary because and it's
- 7:21Speaker 1: the conversation Sear and I have quite a bit, you know.
- 7:24Speaker 1: I think a big chunk of the conversation that we
- 7:27Speaker 1: miss that isn't fully happening is around the reprogramming of ourselves.
- 7:33Speaker 1: It's around the reprogramming of our bodies as we kind
- 7:36Speaker 1: of dive into some of this deeper work. And you know,
- 7:39Speaker 1: a lot of the mental health conversation seems to really
- 7:42Speaker 1: just kind of occupy space, specifically around therapy and psychology. Yes,
- 7:49Speaker 1: in the head, which is powerful, which is necessary. But
- 7:53Speaker 1: true freedom, true self sovereignty, true healing comes through the
- 7:58Speaker 1: entire facet of a mind, body, soul connection. We have
- 8:02Speaker 1: to embody it. And by embodying it means what we
- 8:05Speaker 1: got to go in our bodies. Yeah, exactly, I mean
- 8:09Speaker 1: you you said it very well. That's that's just what
- 8:11Speaker 1: it is. We're inception is really a gem about again, yes,
- 8:15Speaker 1: you're going to be able to alter you know, psychological things,
- 8:19Speaker 1: but the issues are in the tissues of the body
- 8:22Speaker 1: and that and I wasn't the first person to ever
- 8:24Speaker 1: say that. That that has been said many times before
- 8:27Speaker 1: in the in the field of traumatology and understanding as
- 8:30Speaker 1: a human organism. The human organism is constantly being affected
- 8:35Speaker 1: by the stressors that we're up against in our environment.
- 8:38Speaker 1: So inception really is just being able to move that
- 8:42Speaker 1: energy out of the body and then you can start
- 8:44Speaker 1: that reprogramming process. So before I before I dive into
- 8:49Speaker 1: like the really like deeply in the fiber, questions that
- 8:52Speaker 1: I have about this in your work? What led you
- 8:55Speaker 1: to this work? Because this is really um, it's such
- 8:59Speaker 1: sub stantial pioneering work in this space. So how did
- 9:03Speaker 1: you how did you find yourself here? And when did
- 9:05Speaker 1: you first recognize that your path was really to be
- 9:09Speaker 1: in service to the mental emotional freedom of others? Um?
- 9:14Speaker 1: About sixteen, I was around I started early. Yeah, I
- 9:20Speaker 1: was in the church. And so when I go back,
- 9:22Speaker 1: I have a notebook in my closet and um, from
- 9:25Speaker 1: when I was sixteen seventeen. I started reading it just
- 9:28Speaker 1: the other day, and I had all these things about
- 9:30Speaker 1: the mental illness and things of that nature from the
- 9:32Speaker 1: spiritual standpoint of it, right, um. And so but then
- 9:37Speaker 1: I also experienced traumas from the very community that I
- 9:41Speaker 1: was involved in, which was the church. Um. So that
- 9:44Speaker 1: took me down my road and I I started noticing, Um,
- 9:49Speaker 1: I had anxiety. I was experiencing anxiety, but I was
- 9:52Speaker 1: into the self help. I listened to the Anthony Robbins.
- 9:56Speaker 1: I mean that took me down the rabbit hole of
- 9:58Speaker 1: Wayne Dyer and Deep Doctroper and that really expanded my mind.
- 10:02Speaker 1: I got into the arts and understanding the power of now.
- 10:07Speaker 1: But I'm but I'm starting to have anxiety and panic
- 10:10Speaker 1: attacks right, But which was weird for me because I'm like, no,
- 10:15Speaker 1: I'm the self help guru. I I know all of
- 10:19Speaker 1: these things, but yet my body is still responding in
- 10:23Speaker 1: a way that's different from what I believe I should
- 10:25Speaker 1: be experiencing based on what I've read. So that took
- 10:28Speaker 1: me down my journey um of just Um, my background
- 10:33Speaker 1: is in information technology and computer science, so really I'll
- 10:37Speaker 1: just gravitate. If you look at inception, it's all technology driven.
- 10:41Speaker 1: So I started using certain technologies early, early in the
- 10:44Speaker 1: two thousands, um, but those technologies was more like buy
- 10:48Speaker 1: it over the counter, and they weren't They weren't as
- 10:51Speaker 1: effective um as some of the things that we have
- 10:54Speaker 1: right now. But so basically the answer the question, it
- 10:57Speaker 1: was just really my own journey of one being in
- 11:00Speaker 1: the field of helps, already wanting to dive deeper and
- 11:03Speaker 1: understanding what is what is it that's really happening to us,
- 11:06Speaker 1: what's really blocking us from blooming and being our our
- 11:10Speaker 1: greater versions of ourselves? And I had to go on
- 11:13Speaker 1: that journey for myself to find out what it was.
- 11:17Speaker 1: And that's that's where I am today, just that fourteen
- 11:20Speaker 1: year journey of of doing sixty different healing alternative modalities,
- 11:24Speaker 1: just in overcoming my own issues. M hm. How was
- 11:29Speaker 1: it holding UM this kind of space in like a
- 11:33Speaker 1: two thousand and six where conversations like this specifically within
- 11:36Speaker 1: the BIPOP community are just at the beginnings on a
- 11:41Speaker 1: mass level, you know, I mean, there's always been awakened people,
- 11:44Speaker 1: praise God. There's always been you know, communities of healing,
- 11:48Speaker 1: but collectively for like the mainstream UM use it, it
- 11:53Speaker 1: hasn't until recently, you know, on a mainstream level. Now
- 11:57Speaker 1: is the moment, and maybe in the last year. You know,
- 12:00Speaker 1: I even think just in starting my business UM in
- 12:02Speaker 1: the last five years when I started, everyone thought, you know,
- 12:06Speaker 1: I mean, I had to feel so many different questions
- 12:10Speaker 1: about what I've represented because of the way they made
- 12:13Speaker 1: some people feel m some offense as related to their
- 12:16Speaker 1: belief systems or their family structures. So what was that
- 12:20Speaker 1: journey like trying to bring this ceiling to your community
- 12:24Speaker 1: over the last fourteen years when there is so much
- 12:27Speaker 1: education that needs to take place around this work UM
- 12:32Speaker 1: to be honest with you, I have blinders on, like
- 12:36Speaker 1: like I told Charlemagne told me said, man, you're like
- 12:39Speaker 1: twenty years ahead, and I'm like, dude, we're like a
- 12:42Speaker 1: hundred years behind. That's that's how I felt about it,
- 12:46Speaker 1: like we're behind. I'm not ahead. Were slowed down. So
- 12:50Speaker 1: when me and my dad we first started our company UM,
- 12:54Speaker 1: most of our clients were people who were seeking it out,
- 12:57Speaker 1: and so I didn't I didn't market the same way
- 13:02Speaker 1: I do now because there was no marketing in terms
- 13:05Speaker 1: of Instagram and all the other social media channels. It
- 13:08Speaker 1: was newspaper, it was radio, it was television, and we weren't.
- 13:12Speaker 1: We weren't on any of them. All of us was
- 13:15Speaker 1: word of mouth. And most of my clients, to be
- 13:18Speaker 1: honest with you, they were white women. They weren't our people.
- 13:23Speaker 1: When when I saw one black person come through the door,
- 13:26Speaker 1: She's looking at me like what are you doing here?
- 13:28Speaker 1: And I'm looking at her like what did you do here?
- 13:31Speaker 1: And so it comes to find out I started talking
- 13:33Speaker 1: to her Morris, and once I heard some of the
- 13:37Speaker 1: stuff that she gravitated to in terms of we're gonna
- 13:40Speaker 1: talk about UM alternative thought process or even things like um,
- 13:45Speaker 1: like the DEPOC troopers and things that nature. It made
- 13:47Speaker 1: sense why she was there consciousness. So really, I just
- 13:52Speaker 1: I just was like this, I only see I only
- 13:55Speaker 1: see me working on my healing, and the people were
- 13:58Speaker 1: coming in. But now it's it's been amazing to see.
- 14:03Speaker 1: You should see how many of our people are on
- 14:06Speaker 1: our schedule on a day to day basis, and we're
- 14:09Speaker 1: starting to wake up to the fact that hey, hey Dave,
- 14:12Speaker 1: we got emotions. Oh that's what that feeling has been
- 14:17Speaker 1: this some time. Yeah, it's such a I feel like,
- 14:22Speaker 1: you know, this moment in time, it's so special. It's
- 14:26Speaker 1: such a special moment. And for those that are like
- 14:29Speaker 1: really deeply in kind of um embedded in this energy
- 14:33Speaker 1: world and whatever modalities they use, you know, I believe
- 14:36Speaker 1: that this moment is specifically in service to the advancement
- 14:41Speaker 1: of the human race and the advancement of the ascension
- 14:43Speaker 1: of our consciousness. So it's such a it's such a
- 14:47Speaker 1: special time to heal being that collectively, there's so much
- 14:52Speaker 1: energy that is in supportive that it's looking at it
- 14:55Speaker 1: though it's been kind of trippy for me to because
- 14:57Speaker 1: I I read about it happen, I know, but now
- 15:02Speaker 1: that I see it happening, it's like, you know what,
- 15:06Speaker 1: I was born for this exact moment, and that's that's trippy.
- 15:10Speaker 1: You know, sit back and and and even my parents,
- 15:13Speaker 1: they were born for this time for us to help
- 15:16Speaker 1: humanity shift out of out of the state that we've
- 15:20Speaker 1: been in. We've been sold these shows like The Walking Dead.
- 15:24Speaker 1: That's not about zombies how you think about it, that's
- 15:27Speaker 1: that's us as human beings. We don't even recognize that
- 15:30Speaker 1: we're walking dead in terms of our emotions. Either we
- 15:35Speaker 1: overfeel or we underfeel, but we don't have a congruency
- 15:39Speaker 1: to be able to feel good and bad and be
- 15:41Speaker 1: okay with it. It's like I just want to I
- 15:43Speaker 1: don't want to feel anything. And that's how it was
- 15:45Speaker 1: in the beginning when I started my journey, I was
- 15:47Speaker 1: like I was doing our one of our services called
- 15:50Speaker 1: brain training and have an anxiety. I felt anxiety dissipated,
- 15:53Speaker 1: and I'm like, this is great, right, but the issues
- 15:57Speaker 1: and the tissues, right, So whatever is on the inside
- 15:59Speaker 1: needs to come up. So when the anxiety start coming up,
- 16:03Speaker 1: I'm running and go try to brain train more, like hey, no,
- 16:05Speaker 1: this need to stop. Like I don't know. I thought
- 16:09Speaker 1: I was supposed to get rid of anxiety. Why am
- 16:11Speaker 1: I feeling more anxiety? It's not that you're feeling more
- 16:15Speaker 1: of it, You're just finally feeling it's uh that, Oh
- 16:21Speaker 1: my god. Let's sit here for a second. UM. I
- 16:24Speaker 1: would love to share with you some recent experiences I've had,
- 16:27Speaker 1: because I think that's a part of it that everyone
- 16:29Speaker 1: has to create some grace for themselves for and a
- 16:33Speaker 1: little bit of spaciousness to experience. Because and I say
- 16:37Speaker 1: this all the time on here, and I really hope
- 16:39Speaker 1: people remember this, the healing is not the rainbows and
- 16:42Speaker 1: the puppies. The healing is not that, oh I am love,
- 16:46Speaker 1: I am this. All of that comes for sure, And
- 16:49Speaker 1: the deepest truth of all of it is that we
- 16:51Speaker 1: are all divine love, period, at the core of everything.
- 16:54Speaker 1: But when we heal, there's also something that's called trauma
- 16:58Speaker 1: purging or like a trauma flu It's the experience of
- 17:02Speaker 1: the deepening of the layers of healing. And sometimes it
- 17:04Speaker 1: does feel like it's getting so much more difficult or
- 17:08Speaker 1: more challenging before that dawn comes, because you've you've removed
- 17:12Speaker 1: so much of the toxins that now some of the
- 17:15Speaker 1: deeper stuff is allowed to rise to the surface so
- 17:19Speaker 1: it can be cleared. Not rise to the surface so
- 17:22Speaker 1: you'll never get out of it, but rise to the
- 17:23Speaker 1: service so can be cleared. And I remember I did
- 17:26Speaker 1: this recently. I was I was in a new space
- 17:29Speaker 1: of some of the healing that I had to do,
- 17:31Speaker 1: especially connected to the intergenerational part of my journey. And
- 17:35Speaker 1: I remember I met I met with a wonderful healer
- 17:38Speaker 1: and we had worked together for about four days doing
- 17:40Speaker 1: ritual around this and on the last day, I left
- 17:45Speaker 1: session around two pm and I passed out and could
- 17:49Speaker 1: not physically move until ten am the next day. UM.
- 17:54Speaker 1: So forgive me, I'm not that great at fast math.
- 17:56Speaker 1: But I don't know, maybe twenty hours or such, and um,
- 18:00Speaker 1: I couldn't move, and I was just in the bed
- 18:03Speaker 1: like weeping, um and clearing and and kind of like
- 18:08Speaker 1: like writhing in pain, you know. And at one point
- 18:11Speaker 1: I got really scared. I was like, maybe I need
- 18:13Speaker 1: to go to the hospital. Do I need do I
- 18:16Speaker 1: need to write a letter to quest like what's happening
- 18:18Speaker 1: to me? Um? And so, but by by the time
- 18:22Speaker 1: that I came on the other side of it, not
- 18:25Speaker 1: only was I restored to perfect health. But really the
- 18:30Speaker 1: deepest parts were fully surrendered and let go um. And
- 18:34Speaker 1: so that happens too, and that's a piece of it.
- 18:36Speaker 1: And sometimes it can block the healing because we think,
- 18:40Speaker 1: oh no, maybe I unlocked too much. Now let me
- 18:42Speaker 1: bury everything back again, and it's like, no, you gotta
- 18:44Speaker 1: keep going. Yeah, And I've been I've been going through
- 18:48Speaker 1: that through my whole journey. Just yesterday, I was going
- 18:51Speaker 1: through that because I was using a red light therapy
- 18:53Speaker 1: and I was like, let me put this red light
- 18:55Speaker 1: therapy on my stomach and I already knew. I said,
- 18:58Speaker 1: if this starts to kill any back to area and stuff, man,
- 19:00Speaker 1: I'm gonna have a healing response. And sure enough, later
- 19:03Speaker 1: two minutes later, I'm on the phone with Liz and
- 19:05Speaker 1: I'm like, Liz, I'm nauseous, and she's like, maybe you
- 19:08Speaker 1: need to need to throw up. I said, you're right,
- 19:11Speaker 1: that do that. And my body, my body is it's
- 19:15Speaker 1: not like you go and you do the act like
- 19:17Speaker 1: it's my body from doing the work for so long.
- 19:21Speaker 1: I can feel when my body is like you need
- 19:23Speaker 1: to release, and so I can feel that holding going
- 19:26Speaker 1: and I just I just surrendered to it. And it
- 19:28Speaker 1: comes up. What is that that's coming up? Energy cannot
- 19:32Speaker 1: be created or destroyed, only transformed, So energy has to dissipate.
- 19:37Speaker 1: We're a dissipated structure. And you know it's emotional thermodynamics.
- 19:42Speaker 1: So if if the that say, the bacteria or the
- 19:46Speaker 1: whatever that's in my gut parasites that's dying off, what
- 19:49Speaker 1: charge do they hold? They hold my charge, They hold
- 19:51Speaker 1: my emotional frequency. So if they're dying off, they're gassing golf.
- 19:56Speaker 1: And if they're gassing golf, then I need to purge
- 19:58Speaker 1: at this point, and we seen it. If you go
- 20:00Speaker 1: to go through every ancient culture, it may look slightly different,
- 20:05Speaker 1: but it's all the same. Right, whether you're doing ayahuasca,
- 20:09Speaker 1: whether you're doing psilocybin where you're doing all these psychedelics,
- 20:12Speaker 1: whether you're doing any type of healing work, you're going
- 20:16Speaker 1: to experience the upheaval. You can't pour new wine into
- 20:20Speaker 1: old wine skins. It has to come out. So that's
- 20:23Speaker 1: the process that you continually go through. And I'm going
- 20:27Speaker 1: through this. It's the education, like the inception is just
- 20:31Speaker 1: the experience. But for us on the back end, we
- 20:33Speaker 1: have to build these systems to allow people to go
- 20:36Speaker 1: through the process integration and then continue to educate. But
- 20:40Speaker 1: that's a whole journey. It's not like when you come
- 20:43Speaker 1: out of the matrix. When you saw Neo coming out
- 20:45Speaker 1: of the matrix for the first time and he just
- 20:46Speaker 1: threw up and he's like, oh no, this is not
- 20:48Speaker 1: real and then he's like, Okay, I'm good from there.
- 20:51Speaker 1: It's not I like that. That's if we woke up fully,
- 20:56Speaker 1: our bodies wouldn't be able to handle it. So you
- 20:58Speaker 1: you do it in pieces, you know, it's chunks of it,
- 21:02Speaker 1: so the healing process can feel you know, I posted
- 21:06Speaker 1: today on Instagram. I said, you know, you can glamorize
- 21:09Speaker 1: healing if you want, but this is not for the
- 21:11Speaker 1: faint of her heart. It can make you that experience
- 21:14Speaker 1: like you said, I want to call the doctor, right,
- 21:17Speaker 1: because you think because we're programmed about certain things of
- 21:20Speaker 1: side effects, right, we think about pharmaceutical drugs and the
- 21:24Speaker 1: side effects of those things. So when you come in
- 21:26Speaker 1: and you do maybe some services that exception, you're like, oh,
- 21:29Speaker 1: it's the side effect of of this. It's causing me
- 21:32Speaker 1: to feel No, it's not a side effect. It's like
- 21:35Speaker 1: you said that what we call healing response. It's just
- 21:39Speaker 1: the body starting to move and to come more into
- 21:42Speaker 1: alignment and the body has to let go. Yeah, yeah,
- 21:46Speaker 1: the body has to let go. And it's so funny
- 21:49Speaker 1: how even on this side of the healing spectrum, the
- 21:55Speaker 1: root understandings are always the same, whether it's in sacred
- 21:57Speaker 1: ancient texts or whether it's through some of the more
- 22:01Speaker 1: scientific metaphysical understandings. It's like surrender. We have to continually
- 22:07Speaker 1: keep surrendering in all moments, you know, even to this
- 22:11Speaker 1: healing process as you just um, as you just described
- 22:15Speaker 1: and explained, tell me about some of the like specifically
- 22:18Speaker 1: with inception, the first mental health gym. What is some
- 22:21Speaker 1: of the equipment you use and what are the healing
- 22:25Speaker 1: benefits of working with these modalities? Okay, so let's talk
- 22:28Speaker 1: about the first one, which is called brain training a
- 22:31Speaker 1: ka neural feedback. So neuro feedback has like over thirty
- 22:34Speaker 1: year history. And with the neural feedback that we use,
- 22:37Speaker 1: we place sensors on the scalp. So it's no, it's
- 22:39Speaker 1: no electro shock therapy, even though wives will come in
- 22:43Speaker 1: and ask for that for their husband's can you shock
- 22:45Speaker 1: them a little bit? You know? Like no, But nothing
- 22:48Speaker 1: is going into the brain. So even though it's called
- 22:51Speaker 1: brain training, is just it's allowing the brain to become
- 22:54Speaker 1: self aware. And how it does that is this again,
- 22:57Speaker 1: we place the sensors on the scalp. The sensors up
- 23:00Speaker 1: the brainwave activity. You know, you have different subgroups of
- 23:04Speaker 1: brainwave activity from delta all the way up to gamma,
- 23:07Speaker 1: and you have frequencies in between that. So it's picking
- 23:10Speaker 1: all that information up and it's sending it back to
- 23:13Speaker 1: the brain in real time to a pair of headphones,
- 23:15Speaker 1: just like I have in my ear. And so when
- 23:17Speaker 1: you're listening, you're actually in a zero gravity chair. You're
- 23:20Speaker 1: listening to music. The music is not the thing, that's
- 23:23Speaker 1: not the magic. The magic is in when you start
- 23:26Speaker 1: to hear a skip or power of pause or interrupt
- 23:29Speaker 1: within the music, because that skip, paused or interrupt is
- 23:33Speaker 1: representing when the brain is moving out a state of
- 23:36Speaker 1: safety into a state of stress response. So the brain
- 23:40Speaker 1: can see, hey, Dad, you're sitting in his zero gravity chair.
- 23:43Speaker 1: Is nice and relaxing, but you're going into stress response.
- 23:46Speaker 1: Are you sure you want to go there? The brain
- 23:49Speaker 1: is like, you know, we're safe, we don't want to
- 23:50Speaker 1: go there. It's the same way if you're you're driving
- 23:53Speaker 1: on the freeway and I was in l A. I
- 23:55Speaker 1: think you guys have this too, with these little digits
- 23:57Speaker 1: on the road that if you start to drift off,
- 23:59Speaker 1: you here these little bumps, like yeah, yeah, that's information
- 24:04Speaker 1: for you. That information for you saying hey you're going
- 24:08Speaker 1: off side of the road. It didn't force you back,
- 24:11Speaker 1: it's just information. And what do you do? You self correct,
- 24:16Speaker 1: you know, and and and quantum theory, whatever is observed changes, right.
- 24:21Speaker 1: We have to observe our stuff in order to change.
- 24:24Speaker 1: And that's how the brain training is working. It's a
- 24:27Speaker 1: mirror for your brain to observe itself to move you
- 24:30Speaker 1: out of these three states or the main two states
- 24:33Speaker 1: fight flight freeze response that we're we're pretty much kind
- 24:36Speaker 1: of stuck in. So when you move out of that,
- 24:39Speaker 1: you move into what we called what's called UM based
- 24:41Speaker 1: on UM Stephen Porgie's poly vego theory is is the
- 24:46Speaker 1: ventrol vego system, which is UM more social engagement like
- 24:52Speaker 1: what we're talking right now, deep connection, deep meaningful connection.
- 24:55Speaker 1: If you're stuck and sympathetic, which is fight flight response,
- 25:00Speaker 1: or if you're stuck in dorsal vegal to you're stuck
- 25:03Speaker 1: in freeze response one has to do with mobilization, get
- 25:06Speaker 1: out of dodge, fight the threat, fleet from the threat.
- 25:10Speaker 1: One has to do with, hey, I'm helpless to the threat,
- 25:13Speaker 1: shut down them out, prepare for death, disassociate. Right. So
- 25:18Speaker 1: people in society are stuck in these patterns, So we
- 25:22Speaker 1: need to move out of that pattern and come back
- 25:24Speaker 1: into social engagement. You ever heard that verse, father, forgive
- 25:28Speaker 1: them for they know not what they do. Why So
- 25:32Speaker 1: in the beginning, when I first worked with the company
- 25:34Speaker 1: called Brain State Technologies, I looked at over a thousand
- 25:37Speaker 1: brain maps, and in those brain maps we can see
- 25:39Speaker 1: all the brain frequencies from left to right, front to back,
- 25:42Speaker 1: and see the synchronization between the two. Do you know
- 25:46Speaker 1: what pattern most people were in when they came in.
- 25:49Speaker 1: They were in one of the two fight, flight or
- 25:53Speaker 1: freeze response. There was very rarely where I saw a
- 25:56Speaker 1: person whose brain was not stuck in survival mode. So
- 25:59Speaker 1: when you stuck in survival mode, people don't understand your
- 26:02Speaker 1: New York cortex shutdown. That's your your decision making. You know,
- 26:06Speaker 1: solving math problems is not what your brain is trying
- 26:09Speaker 1: to do at that point. Digestion is not what your
- 26:12Speaker 1: brain is trying to do at that point. Fight off
- 26:14Speaker 1: virus and bacteria is not what your brain is trying
- 26:17Speaker 1: to do. At that point. Your brain is trying to
- 26:19Speaker 1: use is all the resources to to to survive. So
- 26:23Speaker 1: we're stuck in survival mode, and that's what causes us
- 26:27Speaker 1: to lose our resources, our ability to again to think,
- 26:31Speaker 1: to process, to be connected, to connect with each other,
- 26:34Speaker 1: to coregulate. So neural feedback is just again it's giving
- 26:39Speaker 1: your brain awareness that you're not in social engagement, you're
- 26:43Speaker 1: in these other patterns. Do you want to stay here?
- 26:47Speaker 1: The brain makes that decision. So we don't push the brain,
- 26:50Speaker 1: We don't pull anything. We everything at inception only supports
- 26:55Speaker 1: the systems. Because the only thing that ever truly healed
- 26:58Speaker 1: you was you. We just need to support the systems
- 27:03Speaker 1: of the body. Because the Kingdom of Heaven is within
- 27:06Speaker 1: all of it is made within us, right, so we
- 27:08Speaker 1: need to support that system. So brain training is at first,
- 27:12Speaker 1: it's not the first thing we do in our We
- 27:14Speaker 1: do a circuit model where we do we group three
- 27:16Speaker 1: different technologies in a ninety minute time frame. But I
- 27:20Speaker 1: want to talk about brain training first because that's like
- 27:22Speaker 1: my first love and how I how I started and
- 27:25Speaker 1: how I really began to overcome the anxiety and the
- 27:28Speaker 1: panic attacks. So that's one. Then we have a magnetic
- 27:32Speaker 1: there be called the magnets sphere and you start with
- 27:35Speaker 1: that service. Actually, so magnus sphere has these two copper
- 27:39Speaker 1: rings on each side of UM. It's like you're sitting
- 27:42Speaker 1: in a UM it's called a him host coil. It's
- 27:44Speaker 1: like these two really big rings. They're probably leving not
- 27:47Speaker 1: eleven feet tall, but they're about six seven feet tall.
- 27:50Speaker 1: They're pretty big. So what happens is it creates a
- 27:54Speaker 1: unified magnetic field that's millions of times lower than the
- 27:58Speaker 1: Earth's frequencies, so it really has a grounding effect to it.
- 28:01Speaker 1: UM Dr Jerry Jacobson UM basically was able to figure
- 28:05Speaker 1: out the magnetic profiles of our ligaments, tissues, cells of
- 28:10Speaker 1: our bodies so that we can begin resonating with it.
- 28:14Speaker 1: It's molecular resonance therapy, so those frequencies resonates with the bones,
- 28:18Speaker 1: the ligaments, the tissues, bringing specific voltage to it. UM
- 28:22Speaker 1: again to it is basically bringing the brain just's like
- 28:26Speaker 1: brain training out of the sympathetic to parasympathetic, rest and digest.
- 28:32Speaker 1: Everything is about really calming down relaxation. You know. I
- 28:37Speaker 1: think it's a Chinese proverb that said, um stress is
- 28:41Speaker 1: what you think you are, Relaxation is who you really are.
- 28:47Speaker 1: That's so good. Like your natural state of being is
- 28:50Speaker 1: to be relaxed only when there's threat. Right, So so
- 28:56Speaker 1: the magnetsphere brings you helps again, it doesn't bring you.
- 28:59Speaker 1: I don't have to use that terminology because it's not
- 29:01Speaker 1: doing it for you per se. It's just supporting, supporting,
- 29:07Speaker 1: supporting the systems and the body begins to shift itself.
- 29:12Speaker 1: And so the third third thing we do in that
- 29:14Speaker 1: circuit is floatation therapy. Now, this is a lot of
- 29:16Speaker 1: people that get freaked out about floatation therapy a k A.
- 29:20Speaker 1: Sensory deprivation. I've spent it probably a boy a thousand
- 29:22Speaker 1: hours and the float tank in the last five years.
- 29:25Speaker 1: So you have this this this tub that's nine by five.
- 29:28Speaker 1: You have a thousand pounds of magnesium sulfate which is
- 29:32Speaker 1: EPs and salt dissolved into a foot of water. Pot
- 29:35Speaker 1: five is the temperature, which is the surface of your skin.
- 29:38Speaker 1: So you know light, no sound, and you float their
- 29:42Speaker 1: effortlessly on the top of the water. And you know
- 29:46Speaker 1: your brain now doesn't have stimulus to wrestle with. So
- 29:50Speaker 1: if your brain doesn't have one of the biggest stimulus
- 29:52Speaker 1: is that we don't even perceive is gravity. When's the
- 29:56Speaker 1: last time you've been in the nine gravity environment like
- 29:59Speaker 1: your mother's won't that's that's that's back then. So when
- 30:02Speaker 1: you so some places they call it rebirthing because it
- 30:06Speaker 1: feels like you're in the tank and you're in the
- 30:07Speaker 1: tank by yourself, is no one in the room, it's
- 30:09Speaker 1: closed door, private suite. You're naked in this tank for
- 30:13Speaker 1: an hour. And when you come out and you're stepping
- 30:15Speaker 1: out of this glass door like reborn, like you're just
- 30:18Speaker 1: coming out of your mother's womb for the first time.
- 30:21Speaker 1: It's a digital detox. You're not dealing with the stressors.
- 30:24Speaker 1: And then now the brain and the body has the
- 30:26Speaker 1: opportunity to process everything. So that's the last thing in
- 30:31Speaker 1: our circuit. And because to Americans are a magnesium deficient
- 30:36Speaker 1: so magnesium you do absorb it transdermally through the skin.
- 30:41Speaker 1: So it's like a mineral bath. It's a floating, meditative
- 30:44Speaker 1: mineral bath. Is what the best way that can describe it.
- 30:50Speaker 1: That's right at my alley. So so that's that's one
- 30:53Speaker 1: circuit and you would do that in a ninety minute
- 30:56Speaker 1: time frame. You should see the people coming in and
- 31:00Speaker 1: coming out of there. I mean you read some of
- 31:03Speaker 1: the things they're saying, like, I've never felt this relaxed
- 31:05Speaker 1: in my life. It's because you've you haven't been in
- 31:10Speaker 1: social engagement. You've been in survival mode. That's why you
- 31:14Speaker 1: haven't felt that relaxed. Well that thought, we are coming
- 31:20Speaker 1: right back. So what is the circuit like that? How
- 31:37Speaker 1: does that manifest in the healing journey? Like what does
- 31:40Speaker 1: that turn into? How how often does um someone need
- 31:46Speaker 1: to go? Like how how would they begin to measure
- 31:49Speaker 1: their growth after that? Or how does that then change
- 31:52Speaker 1: the way that they are moving in the world or
- 31:54Speaker 1: inside of themselves. Okay, so that's let's think about se
- 31:58Speaker 1: doctor's visitor due to stress related illnesses. Right, So when
- 32:03Speaker 1: we talk about being a survival mode and using all
- 32:05Speaker 1: your resources, let's go down all the lists of things
- 32:08Speaker 1: that are stress related illnesses from heart attacks, strokes, insomnia, depression, anxiety.
- 32:16Speaker 1: I mean, you can keep going, and we're talking about
- 32:18Speaker 1: trauma to trauma and stress are They're really very similar.
- 32:22Speaker 1: One is just moves you too fast, too soon, too sudden.
- 32:25Speaker 1: Stress can be what we're dealing with, the chronic stress.
- 32:28Speaker 1: So sleep, My definition of success is being able to
- 32:33Speaker 1: sleep at night, to be at to wake rested, to
- 32:36Speaker 1: be at the stay sleep and wake rested. You think
- 32:40Speaker 1: how many people over I think the number is sixty
- 32:43Speaker 1: of Americans suffer from sleep defervation. I would say that
- 32:45Speaker 1: number is even higher now through COVID. It's about safety.
- 32:51Speaker 1: So when you can't sleep at night, you know what
- 32:53Speaker 1: is really saying. You don't even feel safe in your
- 32:56Speaker 1: own space. You don't in your own space. I don't
- 33:00Speaker 1: mean your house, I mean your house, your house. You
- 33:05Speaker 1: don't feel safe there. So one of the biggest manifestations
- 33:09Speaker 1: that the services half of people is they slept well,
- 33:14Speaker 1: you know, and then that starts. I've been sleeping well.
- 33:16Speaker 1: You know. I'm getting reports people say I felt like
- 33:19Speaker 1: this for two weeks straight and I'm like, yeah, like,
- 33:22Speaker 1: because your body, your system is now beginning to regulate.
- 33:26Speaker 1: So one circuit. A lot of people they come in,
- 33:30Speaker 1: they do one circuit, but it's a gym. It's the
- 33:33Speaker 1: same thought process. People ask how how how often do
- 33:37Speaker 1: you do your stuff. I'm like, I'm always in the process.
- 33:40Speaker 1: I'm never not doing my stuff like you you you know,
- 33:45Speaker 1: use it or lose the type of thing. Right, Um,
- 33:47Speaker 1: you go to the gym, you you you put the
- 33:49Speaker 1: muscles up against stimulus because you're trying to stress out
- 33:54Speaker 1: the muscles of the body so the muscles can adapt
- 33:56Speaker 1: and come back and you can do better next time.
- 33:58Speaker 1: Well what happens when you have so much stimulus and
- 34:01Speaker 1: stress wrapped up in the body. Well, when you come
- 34:05Speaker 1: like I said earlier, you didn't just release it all
- 34:07Speaker 1: at once. There's levels and layers to this thing. No
- 34:12Speaker 1: matter that I do. If it's brand new and in
- 34:16Speaker 1: my system has never experienced it, best believe it's gonna
- 34:19Speaker 1: bring up something leave most stone unturned. Yeah, I love that.
- 34:25Speaker 1: You know, there was an interesting article, um, that was
- 34:28Speaker 1: in the cut this week that was actually related to
- 34:31Speaker 1: the way that our bodies are experiencing stress right now
- 34:35Speaker 1: in the global pandemic and so speaking to for instance,
- 34:38Speaker 1: you know how when a president takes office, they have
- 34:41Speaker 1: the photo that they take on their first day and
- 34:43Speaker 1: the photo that they take on their last day. Yeah. Yeah,
- 34:49Speaker 1: And it's really interesting because you know, Um. For those listening,
- 34:53Speaker 1: if you haven't seen this picture, look it up. It's
- 34:55Speaker 1: it's really interesting because it shows are forever President Barack
- 34:58Speaker 1: Obama on the first stay and on the last day
- 35:01Speaker 1: he you know, only eight years had passed, which actually
- 35:04Speaker 1: isn't that long of a time, but physically you see
- 35:07Speaker 1: the manifestation of that level of stress, the level of
- 35:10Speaker 1: stress of running the country for eight years, and that
- 35:14Speaker 1: manifested in him as you know, some more wrinkles, a
- 35:16Speaker 1: little bit of change in the elasticity of his skin,
- 35:19Speaker 1: lots of gray hair, different texture, different color, And so
- 35:22Speaker 1: that also happens to each of us. And so you know,
- 35:25Speaker 1: something that that I say about myself, I'm like, thank
- 35:27Speaker 1: you God that I don't look like what I've been through,
- 35:29Speaker 1: because if I did, everyone would be shocked and horrified.
- 35:35Speaker 1: I'm sure, Um, but that that shows to the work
- 35:38Speaker 1: that you've done. You know the same thing for me,
- 35:40Speaker 1: I don't look the same way as I mean, if
- 35:41Speaker 1: I look at a picture, I don't even want to
- 35:43Speaker 1: look at that picture. How it wasn't two thousand and six.
- 35:45Speaker 1: I was. I was depleted, you know, I felt I
- 35:50Speaker 1: felt like my body failed me at that point, you know,
- 35:53Speaker 1: because I was having full blown vomiting panic attacks. So
- 35:58Speaker 1: and to be there, I was living in South Florida.
- 36:01Speaker 1: I had to move back home to Detroit, which is
- 36:03Speaker 1: a huge difference if you don't know in terms of
- 36:06Speaker 1: weather and culture and things of that nature. So if
- 36:10Speaker 1: you think about I tell people your brain can't tell
- 36:13Speaker 1: the difference between what's real and what's fake. So the
- 36:16Speaker 1: more that the more that you see, Like, mental health
- 36:19Speaker 1: is not just psychological. Mental health is everything you hear,
- 36:22Speaker 1: everything you see, everything you you, you eat, everything you
- 36:27Speaker 1: you smell. Right, it's all of it. It's the systems
- 36:30Speaker 1: having to use their resources to fight threat. So and
- 36:35Speaker 1: our healing journey is it's a it's a melting of
- 36:39Speaker 1: all of the things. It's really about finding our personal
- 36:43Speaker 1: recipe to be our best selves. But it has to
- 36:45Speaker 1: center in that mental, physical, and emotional component. We can't
- 36:49Speaker 1: do one and bypass the others. They all work in
- 36:52Speaker 1: harmony together for the freedom of each of us um
- 36:56Speaker 1: and our traumas and our replenishment. Yeah, right, I had
- 36:58Speaker 1: we had did um. Vice had did a feature on
- 37:01Speaker 1: me an inception, right, and they released it, and they
- 37:05Speaker 1: when they released it, I went to YouTube and I
- 37:09Speaker 1: started reading the comments, and some of the comments, I
- 37:13Speaker 1: just sat there and I just was reading it, and
- 37:15Speaker 1: it just it opened my eyes to certain rabbit holes.
- 37:20Speaker 1: If you go down this rabbit hole and you stay
- 37:22Speaker 1: down this rabbit hole, this will destroy you. Which is
- 37:26Speaker 1: reading the comments and internalizing them. But I said to myself,
- 37:30Speaker 1: but I need I need to I need to to
- 37:33Speaker 1: go down here for a moment to a lot that
- 37:38Speaker 1: feels like And then you think about people who and
- 37:41Speaker 1: you're someone who's in the line, like, you know, I
- 37:43Speaker 1: consider you like our our new Oprah. You know what
- 37:46Speaker 1: I'm saying, Yeah, based on you know, the things that
- 37:50Speaker 1: you're doing and bringing to light in the and if
- 37:52Speaker 1: you look at Oprah with the r tooles and the
- 37:54Speaker 1: Wayne Diary, she brought these people to the forefront right
- 37:58Speaker 1: and everybody who as Christian whatever you know, that looked weird.
- 38:04Speaker 1: And if she read and if she internalized all of that,
- 38:09Speaker 1: she would not be where she is now. So you
- 38:13Speaker 1: have to go And I had to go look at
- 38:15Speaker 1: that darkness and sit there for a moment and be like, Okay,
- 38:18Speaker 1: I can see how this can end up if you
- 38:22Speaker 1: go down that rabbit hole. So from there, I said,
- 38:25Speaker 1: I'm gonna give myself one time and that's it. Well,
- 38:28Speaker 1: and it's like and one I just have to say
- 38:30Speaker 1: thank you so much for that beautiful reflection and I receive.
- 38:34Speaker 1: And you know, I'm a big believer that Oprah walked
- 38:36Speaker 1: so all of us could run, Like she gave each
- 38:39Speaker 1: one of us permission to occupy space in our authenticity
- 38:43Speaker 1: in a way that had never, at least in my lifetime,
- 38:46Speaker 1: been done that I had ever seen. But it's like,
- 38:50Speaker 1: you know what those rabbit holes like, I kind of
- 38:52Speaker 1: see it as a twofold. It's like, so I'm a
- 38:55Speaker 1: big believer and not allowing myself to be led in
- 39:00Speaker 1: their direction too strongly. So something that and it might
- 39:03Speaker 1: be to the bane of other people's uh interactions with me,
- 39:07Speaker 1: but I really stay out of my d MS a lot,
- 39:10Speaker 1: and I'm so grateful for the incredible messages that I get,
- 39:14Speaker 1: but I don't want to get to mis directed. Yes,
- 39:24Speaker 1: so it takes me away from the work. And I
- 39:27Speaker 1: love the reflections people share with me, but if I
- 39:30Speaker 1: if I give too much time to reading the praise
- 39:33Speaker 1: and the criticism, it just warps my own understanding of
- 39:36Speaker 1: the work that I do. And so I want to
- 39:38Speaker 1: try to stay really pure in that UM. But let
- 39:41Speaker 1: me just say really quick, anybody that sends me d MS,
- 39:43Speaker 1: I'm so grateful. And to know anything resonates with you
- 39:47Speaker 1: in any way is also a deeper reflection of your
- 39:50Speaker 1: own beauty and your own work and your own joy
- 39:52Speaker 1: and healing. UM. But it is it is helpful on
- 39:56Speaker 1: those rabbit holes, David right to see the experience of
- 40:02Speaker 1: where the barriers are. You know, when I when I
- 40:05Speaker 1: first started doing this work and I first started teaching meditation,
- 40:09Speaker 1: when I was still in my other career, I would
- 40:11Speaker 1: get hit with a lot of people demanding um deep
- 40:16Speaker 1: explanations of what my belief system is and how this
- 40:19Speaker 1: makes sense with Christianity, and I'm not available for that.
- 40:22Speaker 1: That's that's not the role that I play. It's not
- 40:24Speaker 1: to try to talk you into understanding my process or
- 40:30Speaker 1: to get you to validate me. I'm gonna stay on
- 40:33Speaker 1: this path. It's really just in service to sharing information
- 40:36Speaker 1: and you take what fits and you leave what doesn't.
- 40:39Speaker 1: But it was so fascinating, and that really began my
- 40:42Speaker 1: journey to understanding the depths of the family and meshments,
- 40:46Speaker 1: the depths of how so often are rigid belief systems
- 40:50Speaker 1: or only half use and half application of these belief
- 40:54Speaker 1: systems keep us from our own healing, keep us from
- 40:57Speaker 1: our own love, keep us from our own joy. And
- 41:00Speaker 1: so I imagine when you were kind of going in
- 41:01Speaker 1: those comments like you're seeing also you know, gosh, there
- 41:05Speaker 1: there's a lot of wounding. There's a lot of specific
- 41:08Speaker 1: patterns to how people allow themselves to stay in their
- 41:13Speaker 1: story or to stay in their pain. And so I
- 41:16Speaker 1: do see a lot of use in a lot of
- 41:18Speaker 1: ways that that can um, that can help us serve.
- 41:21Speaker 1: I would love to know from you on your website.
- 41:23Speaker 1: I love this term that you use, emotional obesity. What
- 41:28Speaker 1: does that mean? Well, again, it's goes It goes back
- 41:30Speaker 1: to that that thought process that their emotional thermodynamics, if
- 41:34Speaker 1: you're all emotions supposed to be expressed. UM. One time
- 41:38Speaker 1: I was in the flow tank and UM, I was
- 41:40Speaker 1: doing thirty days of floating and I had this this
- 41:42Speaker 1: this thought come to me and it said that unexpressed
- 41:47Speaker 1: gratitude turns into grief. And so I took that and
- 41:52Speaker 1: I got out of the tank and I was just sobbing.
- 41:54Speaker 1: First of all, in the tank, I was weeping, and
- 41:57Speaker 1: I got on the tank. I I message certain people
- 42:00Speaker 1: that I that I felt grateful for but I've never
- 42:03Speaker 1: expressed that to them, And so when they when they're gone,
- 42:06Speaker 1: what happens Now I'm grieving that I've never been able
- 42:09Speaker 1: to express my gratitude for them. So that emotion that
- 42:14Speaker 1: even if it's happiness or sadness, it needs to be
- 42:17Speaker 1: felt and it needs to be expressed, you know. And
- 42:20Speaker 1: when it's not expressed, guess what happens. It starts to accumulate,
- 42:24Speaker 1: and then that you start to build what Just like
- 42:26Speaker 1: you build fat on our bodies, we feel we build
- 42:29Speaker 1: emotional fat and for a lot of people is manifested
- 42:34Speaker 1: through physical fat as well. It's the body we're trying
- 42:37Speaker 1: to we're trying to protect ourselves, you know. That's that's
- 42:40Speaker 1: just the manifestation of the mind and the body. Like
- 42:44Speaker 1: our body is very um wise and how it creates
- 42:48Speaker 1: these survival mechanisms and these survival patterns. Like we like
- 42:54Speaker 1: to think that things like a d D or whatever
- 42:58Speaker 1: diagnosis is our body only us, but it's really our
- 43:01Speaker 1: body just adapting to the environment saying look, I can't
- 43:05Speaker 1: I can't deal with this in this way, so I
- 43:07Speaker 1: have to rewire and go about this way of doing it.
- 43:10Speaker 1: It's all about protection. So that's what our most emotional
- 43:13Speaker 1: obesity is. It's just us holding go on. And now
- 43:17Speaker 1: you look at shows that called hoarders and things of
- 43:20Speaker 1: that nature, that's just nothing but a manifestation of what's
- 43:23Speaker 1: happened on the inside the trauma. Yeah yeah, yeah, all right,
- 43:30Speaker 1: Well tell everybody how can they visit Inception and how
- 43:35Speaker 1: can people connect and engage with all the amazing work
- 43:38Speaker 1: that you're doing in the world. So you can visit
- 43:40Speaker 1: us only on our website Inception EP Echo Poul dot com,
- 43:44Speaker 1: so Inception EP dot com. Um, I do a lot
- 43:47Speaker 1: of you know, education on my Instagram page at Mr
- 43:52Speaker 1: David mccolor and those are two main ways that you
- 43:55Speaker 1: can reach us. Yeah, definitely definitely check out this work.
- 43:59Speaker 1: I would love to share, um. We do at the
- 44:03Speaker 1: end of every episode something I like to call soul work,
- 44:06Speaker 1: And I would love if you could share with the community, um,
- 44:10Speaker 1: a little bit of homework that they can take home
- 44:12Speaker 1: with them, and that can be maybe a journal prompt
- 44:14Speaker 1: or that can be you know, just the thought to
- 44:17Speaker 1: kind of savor for the day, but an offering from
- 44:21Speaker 1: from the beautiful work that you do and the powerful
- 44:23Speaker 1: work that you do. Okay, I got, I got a couple.
- 44:27Speaker 1: But so one understand that we were never supposed to
- 44:31Speaker 1: be disconnected from the earth, meaning our bare feet off
- 44:35Speaker 1: the earth. And currently we're working with Clint ober who
- 44:38Speaker 1: rediscovered earth thing and done over twenty six per review
- 44:41Speaker 1: studies to validate that once our feet touched the bare
- 44:45Speaker 1: foot of the earth, that we pick up the free
- 44:49Speaker 1: electrons of it, an inflammation that's in our body is dissipated.
- 44:53Speaker 1: So the best thing that everybody can do, it doesn't
- 44:56Speaker 1: even cost you money. Go place your feet bare foot
- 44:59Speaker 1: on the earth and realize that it's not about how
- 45:02Speaker 1: long should I be on the earth, it's you were
- 45:06Speaker 1: never supposed to be off of it. So twenty four
- 45:09Speaker 1: hours is really the thing we have to connect back
- 45:12Speaker 1: to the very thing that we're disconnected from ourselves. One.
- 45:17Speaker 1: But once we connect back to the earth, that gives
- 45:19Speaker 1: us more resources to connect back within. So that's one
- 45:23Speaker 1: of the biggest things that you can do. And two
- 45:25Speaker 1: is to understand that cease without praying or pray without ceasing.
- 45:30Speaker 1: Right your people think about prayer as a as a
- 45:33Speaker 1: mode like let me go sit in a corner and
- 45:35Speaker 1: do this. But we have to understand that we're in
- 45:38Speaker 1: a constant state of praying through our our electromagnetic frequencies
- 45:44Speaker 1: that we give off. Um, it's it's our thought life,
- 45:48Speaker 1: it's our what's on what's on the inside, that stored there,
- 45:51Speaker 1: that's constantly sending out a signal that we're constantly receiving
- 45:56Speaker 1: back as well. We're just mirroring out. We get back
- 45:59Speaker 1: what we put out, right, So you have to have
- 46:01Speaker 1: that level of awareness of what am I sending out,
- 46:06Speaker 1: what am I constantly praying about, and what am I
- 46:10Speaker 1: constantly receiving. So those two things one connect back to
- 46:14Speaker 1: the earth, which will allow you to connect back to
- 46:16Speaker 1: yourself and have the level of awareness of what you're
- 46:19Speaker 1: putting out. I love that so so fam listening, so homework,
- 46:27Speaker 1: Pop your shoes off. I want you to go outside,
- 46:31Speaker 1: and I want you to just allow your feet to
- 46:35Speaker 1: feel and get reacquainted with the earth very purposefully, and
- 46:40Speaker 1: close your eyes while you're doing it, and just explore
- 46:43Speaker 1: and see what you feel. Notice if there's anything that
- 46:47Speaker 1: is sparking or shifting or coming up in your body,
- 46:50Speaker 1: and it doesn't have to be ground, you know, grand
- 46:52Speaker 1: I'm not saying that you're going to start levitating and
- 46:55Speaker 1: flying through the air, but what are what are the
- 46:57Speaker 1: small noticings Because a huge piece of the healing journey
- 47:00Speaker 1: that we have been speaking to in this whole show,
- 47:03Speaker 1: it's it's really about feeling safe inside of our bodies
- 47:07Speaker 1: and really for so many understanding what it actually feels
- 47:12Speaker 1: like to experience yourself from the inside. You experiencing yourself
- 47:19Speaker 1: from the inside. What you just suggested is like, literally
- 47:23Speaker 1: I live barefoot, especially especially during this pandemic um. I
- 47:29Speaker 1: walk obviously through my house bare foot um, but in
- 47:31Speaker 1: my backyard, in my front yard, unless I'm leaving the house,
- 47:34Speaker 1: my feet are always bear I am always trying to
- 47:37Speaker 1: ground um. And then I've even turned it into a
- 47:40Speaker 1: little ritual before bed, David, where I love to um
- 47:43Speaker 1: wash my feet and just allow myself to like wash
- 47:46Speaker 1: my own feet. I washed my son's feet before he
- 47:49Speaker 1: goes to bed every night as we do our prayers.
- 47:51Speaker 1: And that's part of like the ritual we're building to
- 47:54Speaker 1: feel grounded, connected to our bodies, but also treating what
- 47:59Speaker 1: you referenced earlier, treating our souls home with the dignity
- 48:04Speaker 1: and the love it deserves. It's the only place that
- 48:06Speaker 1: we live, and I think that we've we've missed that fact.
- 48:11Speaker 1: Like the movie was a Wizard of Oz and for
- 48:13Speaker 1: our people that the whiz. If you've ever saw the movie,
- 48:17Speaker 1: there's no place like home, and home was always on
- 48:19Speaker 1: the inside of you, is never outside of you. So
- 48:22Speaker 1: no matter where you go, you always take you there
- 48:26Speaker 1: with yourself, so you it doesn't matter if you're in
- 48:28Speaker 1: the place of you know, a place that looks like heaven.
- 48:32Speaker 1: If you don't feel heaven here, then you won't feel
- 48:36Speaker 1: heaven there either. You better say it. Oh, that's so good.
- 48:42Speaker 1: That's so good, David. I'm so grateful for who you
- 48:45Speaker 1: are in the world. Thank you for your work, thank
