- 1:37Speaker 2: my boy Corinth for coming in faithfully. This is like
- 1:43Speaker 2: a discipleship space right here because we, you know, we
- 1:49Speaker 2: encouraged each other to continue in the Lord and so
- 1:54Speaker 2: His Hot Nation. We started off as a Christian club
- 1:59Speaker 2: back in twenty twelve, and then vote we evolved into
- 2:02Speaker 2: a radio station, a podcast, a TV streaming app on
- 2:06Speaker 2: the firestick and we do events. We minister to the youth,
- 2:12Speaker 2: the at risk. We go to the juvenile detention centers
- 2:15Speaker 2: and we do a lot in the community, and we
- 2:18Speaker 2: are thankful for that, and we are thankful that you
- 2:22Speaker 2: are here with us. So if you want to know
- 2:24Speaker 2: more about what we do, and then over to our
- 2:27Speaker 2: website that is his hot nation dot com. Once again,
- 2:32Speaker 2: that is his hot nation dot com. But today we
- 2:35Speaker 2: continue Paul's first recorded sermon on the missionary journey. Now,
- 2:43Speaker 2: last episode ended with Paul standing up in the synagogue
- 2:47Speaker 2: at Antioch, but not the Antioch. We know this was
- 2:53Speaker 2: in Pasadian Antioch, and then the message begins. To notice
- 3:00Speaker 2: something important here, Paul doesn't start with opinions. He starts
- 3:06Speaker 2: with history because God's story proves God's faithfulness. So today's
- 3:15Speaker 2: episode Paul's sermon begins is the title, and we're gonna
- 3:21Speaker 2: dive into it. Acts chapter thirteen, verse seventeen is where
- 3:26Speaker 2: we're gonna pick it up at coming at you from
- 3:28Speaker 2: the New King James. Acts Chapter thirteen, verse seventeen. Grab
- 3:33Speaker 2: your bibles, you know, pass and your highlighters, and that's
- 3:38Speaker 2: gonna be for our father in prayer, Heavenly Father, we
- 3:40Speaker 2: thank you, Father God once again for allowing us to
- 3:44Speaker 2: wake up today, for allowing us to open up our eyes,
- 3:47Speaker 2: for allowing us to get our hearts and our minds
- 3:50Speaker 2: right today. Thank you God, oh Lord, for even yesterday,
- 3:54Speaker 2: Old God, we had a great, great message at church
- 3:59Speaker 2: taking off the mask, Oh God. I pray Lord that
- 4:03Speaker 2: every mask go, God will remain awful God, that we
- 4:06Speaker 2: will come to you honest and open, and that Father God,
- 4:10Speaker 2: Oh Lord, we will allow your word to penetrate our hearts.
- 4:13Speaker 2: So God, and we asked that you'll bless every listener,
- 4:16Speaker 2: bless his message, help me to speak it clearly and effectively.
- 4:21Speaker 2: And we asked this in Jesus' name. Hey man, all right, so.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Let's uh, looks like you lost another one.
- 4:40Speaker 2: Dive into it once again. Give me one second as
- 4:48Speaker 2: I prepare my scriptures here. So yeah, we're gonna go
- 4:56Speaker 2: through Acts chapter thirteen Versus seventeen through twenty five in
- 5:15Speaker 2: the New King James here and it says, then Paul
- 5:21Speaker 2: stood up in motion with his hands and said, men
- 5:24Speaker 2: of Israel, and you who fear God, listen the God
- 5:30Speaker 2: of and this is verse sixteen. We went over this.
- 5:34Speaker 2: The God of his people Israel, chose our fathers and
- 5:39Speaker 2: exalted the people when they dwelt as strangers in the
- 5:43Speaker 2: land of Egypt, and within up lifted arm he brought
- 5:48Speaker 2: them out of it. Now, for a time of about
- 5:52Speaker 2: forty years, he put up with their ways in the wilderness.
- 5:57Speaker 2: And when he had destroyed seven nations to the land
- 6:01Speaker 2: in the land of Keenan, he distributed their land to
- 6:05Speaker 2: them by allotment. After that he gave them judges for
- 6:11Speaker 2: about four hundred and fifty years until Samuel the Prophet.
- 6:15Speaker 2: And afterwards they asked for a king. So God gave
- 6:19Speaker 2: them Salt, the son of Cush, a man of the
- 6:23Speaker 2: tribe of Benjamin, for forty years. And when he had
- 6:27Speaker 2: removed him, he raised up for them David as king,
- 6:32Speaker 2: to whom also he gave testimony and said, I have
- 6:36Speaker 2: found David, the son of Jesse, a man after my
- 6:40Speaker 2: own heart, who will do all my will from this
- 6:45Speaker 2: man's seed according to the promise God raised up for
- 6:49Speaker 2: Israel a savior, Jesus. After John the First preached before
- 6:57Speaker 2: his coming that of repentance to all people of Israel.
- 7:03Speaker 2: And as John was finishing his course, he said, who
- 7:09Speaker 2: did you think I am? I am not he? But behold,
- 7:14Speaker 2: there comes one after me, the sandals of whose feet
- 7:20Speaker 2: I am not worthy to lose. Amen. All right, there's
- 7:25Speaker 2: a lot to unpack here, so let's get into it now.
- 7:34Speaker 2: The God of his people, Israel chose our fathers and
- 7:39Speaker 2: exalted the people when they dwelt as strangers in the
- 7:44Speaker 2: land of Egypt, and with an uplifted arm, he brought
- 7:49Speaker 2: them out. Now as verse seventeen, now Pob begins by
- 7:55Speaker 2: reminding them God is the initiator. Israel exists because God
- 8:02Speaker 2: chose them, not because they were a powerful nation. It
- 8:07Speaker 2: was the choice of God. In that actually comforts me
- 8:12Speaker 2: when I realized that God chose me to be saved,
- 8:15Speaker 2: even when I struggle with my salvation. God chose me.
- 8:19Speaker 2: God chose us before the foundation of the world. God
- 8:24Speaker 2: initiated our relationship. Now, deliverance from Egypt shows salvation always
- 8:32Speaker 2: begins with God's action. Paul starts where everyone agrees right
- 8:42Speaker 2: before correction comes, connection has to come. We got to
- 8:47Speaker 2: make connection with the people before we bring correction. And
- 8:52Speaker 2: I remember working at the Horseshoe Hotel in my early
- 8:56Speaker 2: twenties as a young, unfired Christian. There's one guy that
- 9:03Speaker 2: A witnessed to and we just started off talking about aliens,
- 9:06Speaker 2: Like we made a connection talking about aliens and stuff,
- 9:10Speaker 2: and all of a sudden and went into Christ's a witness,
- 9:13Speaker 2: and he became a brother in the church, and we
- 9:19Speaker 2: had a great relationship together. Now, God chooses, lifts and
- 9:26Speaker 2: rescues people who cannot rescue themselves. That still is the
- 9:35Speaker 2: gospel today, Hey man, verse eighteen, for now a time, now,
- 9:49Speaker 2: for a time about forty years He put up with
- 9:53Speaker 2: their ways in the wilderness. Now, let's look at God's
- 9:58Speaker 2: patience here. Israel complained consistently, yet God remained faithful to them.
- 10:10Speaker 2: Let's be honest. This verse is encouraging. God didn't quit
- 10:16Speaker 2: on them in their worst season, and He hasn't quit
- 10:22Speaker 2: on us either. Amen, hallelujah. Some of us are still
- 10:30Speaker 2: in our wilderness season. Some of us are still complaining,
- 10:35Speaker 2: still murmuring, still going around the mountain, and God has
- 10:40Speaker 2: still been patient towards us. Amen. I could actually see
- 10:45Speaker 2: myself in that picture. How many times have I taken
- 10:49Speaker 2: the wilderness journey? Great book to read, Battleful of the
- 10:55Speaker 2: Mind by Joyce Meyers. She has a section in there
- 10:58Speaker 2: just typically talking about the wilderness journey. If we need
- 11:04Speaker 2: to be set free, we got to be set free
- 11:06Speaker 2: in our minds. Our minds need to be renewed daily,
- 11:11Speaker 2: all right, Verse nineteen. And when He had destroyed seven
- 11:14Speaker 2: nations in the land of Canaan, he distributed their land
- 11:19Speaker 2: to them by allotment. Now, God fulfilled promises made to
- 11:24Speaker 2: Abraham centuries earlier. God's timeline is long, but his promises
- 11:32Speaker 2: never expire. Sometimes promises takes generations to manifest. Delay is
- 11:41Speaker 2: not denial. God keeps receipts on his promises. Hallelujah. God
- 11:50Speaker 2: is so faithful. So right now, actually, are just one
- 12:00Speaker 2: to address that. At the beginning of our ministry his
- 12:06Speaker 2: hot nation at the club, we had a young girl
- 12:12Speaker 2: who was anointed in the prophetic, a sister, and I
- 12:15Speaker 2: just found out yesterday that she passed away two days ago,
- 12:20Speaker 2: and she prophesied constantly over our ministry. She had a
- 12:28Speaker 2: prophetic gift and I'm still waiting for or she prophesied
- 12:36Speaker 2: to come to past. And so I was struggling with
- 12:39Speaker 2: the fact like, wow, you know, is the prophecy is
- 12:44Speaker 2: the Word still going to come to pass even though
- 12:46Speaker 2: she's not here. Well, this right here just answered that question.
- 12:53Speaker 2: A word just answered that for us. Hallelujah, God, will
- 12:57Speaker 2: still fulfill his word even though there may be a delay.
- 13:04Speaker 2: And I trust it. I believe it. Hallelujah, And we're
- 13:10Speaker 2: gonna miss my sister. She was highly, highly beloved all
- 13:19Speaker 2: right Verse twenty. After that, it gave them judges for
- 13:23Speaker 2: about four hundred and fifty years until Samuel the Prophet.
- 13:30Speaker 2: This period shows cycles of rebellion, repentance, and restoration. God
- 13:38Speaker 2: repeatedly rescue them, and history repeats itself when lessons aren't learned.
- 13:46Speaker 2: God saves people drift, God restores again, but God himself
- 13:55Speaker 2: never gives up Amen. Verse twenty one. And afterwards they
- 14:06Speaker 2: asked for a king, so God gave them saw the
- 14:10Speaker 2: son of Kush for forty years. Now is there one
- 14:15Speaker 2: of the king like other nations? Instead of trusting God directly,
- 14:21Speaker 2: sometimes God allows our wrong desires to teach us lessons. Amen.
- 14:28Speaker 2: Sometimes God lets us learn the hard way. Not every
- 14:34Speaker 2: answered prayer is a blessing. Wow, that's a lesson to learn. Amen.
- 14:44Speaker 2: Sometimes we gotta ask God to reveal our desires that
- 14:48Speaker 2: are motives behind certain prayers another one Amen, Verse twenty two.
- 14:57Speaker 2: And when he had removed him, he raised up for
- 15:00Speaker 2: them David as king. Now David wasn't perfect, but he
- 15:06Speaker 2: had a heart that returned to God. Amen. Affection isn't
- 15:12Speaker 2: what God is looking for. Repentances a heart that comes
- 15:17Speaker 2: back to God and will always win. Let me say
- 15:21Speaker 2: that again. That's the t shirt. The heart that comes
- 15:25Speaker 2: back to God will always win. Hallelujah. And that is
- 15:31Speaker 2: my heart. I claim it. I claim that heart. Amen.
- 15:36Speaker 2: Twenty two. From this man's seed. According to the promise,
- 15:42Speaker 2: God raised up for Israel as savior. Jesus, hallelujah.
- 15:51Speaker 3: It looks like you lost another one.
- 15:55Speaker 2: Jesus is the star of the show. Amen. Everything in
- 16:01Speaker 2: the Israel's history pointed to Christ. Jesus fulfilled the Covenant promises.
- 16:09Speaker 2: Paul now connects history to Jesus. The whole Old Testament
- 16:16Speaker 2: leads here. Jesus is not random. He is promised, y'all.
- 16:24Speaker 2: This is all about his story. Now, John the Baptist
- 16:33Speaker 2: prepare the way, calling people to repentance and pointing them
- 16:38Speaker 2: to Christ. John knew his role. He pointed people to Jesus,
- 16:47Speaker 2: He did not point them to himself. Real ministry points
- 16:51Speaker 2: people towards God, not towards ourselves. Is not inward, is outward?
- 17:01Speaker 2: The spotlight belongs to Christ. He's the only one who
- 17:07Speaker 2: can handle it, and he is the only one who
- 17:12Speaker 2: deserves it. Hallelujah, stay your brain.
- 17:18Speaker 3: You are listening to the light of Las Vegas. This
- 17:22Speaker 3: is the hiss Hop radio show.
- 17:38Speaker 1: When I read that means look good bat all the things,
- 17:42Speaker 1: Jude is we ain't those things that.
- 17:45Speaker 4: I was losing.
- 17:46Speaker 3: Fa I was saying it down here.
- 17:48Speaker 1: But you still mat away and you grab me out
- 17:53Speaker 1: Let me crazy, buddy, No, I got his head fall
- 17:56Speaker 1: the same bos in a buddy.
- 18:00Speaker 4: Been Whew, that's up.
- 18:01Speaker 1: But when I look back, I can see it if you
- 18:02Speaker 1: tell me still help me down down, look back, got
- 18:08Speaker 1: my I ain't mine all your.
- 18:13Speaker 5: I was Bundy changed, but you go damn you said, mayby.
- 18:19Speaker 4: Shun man see that you know what you get.
- 18:34Speaker 1: When I think about all the times I should be there, should.
- 18:37Speaker 5: No one said keep going.
- 18:38Speaker 1: You was like to say, you like yeah, when I
- 18:41Speaker 1: say about all my kids, I don't much say. Hey,
- 18:42Speaker 1: guys said I already pay that fee. When I got
- 18:46Speaker 1: on that crowd, I leave.
- 18:47Speaker 4: In the jeez.
- 18:48Speaker 1: It's forgive it is you get it, quince one of
- 18:52Speaker 1: your men.
- 18:52Speaker 4: Fie never get mound on. It is on you is
- 18:55Speaker 4: one of my children. This is the one thing I
- 18:57Speaker 4: figured out that you know when they.
- 19:00Speaker 1: Listening, I've been dumbing touch being like giving a I
- 19:02Speaker 1: was unking the dieting it from me and let it up.
- 19:06Speaker 1: I want to thrown out fixed ticks. I wasn't thrown
- 19:08Speaker 1: out rich member when night the bab, but I couldn't
- 19:10Speaker 1: get nothing now walking up mumbles and fishing pu a
- 19:15Speaker 1: little bag and my life.
- 19:17Speaker 4: I know you and all.
- 19:21Speaker 5: I was bounding change, but you coming day you said anyway,
- 19:27Speaker 5: swimming is killing spelling when I nae has no nothing
- 19:39Speaker 5: to do it swimming. Yeah, feeling is where.
- 19:49Speaker 3: I see I should know what should do it. You
- 19:59Speaker 3: are listening to the light of Las Vegas. This is
- 20:03Speaker 3: the Hiss Hop Radio Show.
- 20:35Speaker 2: All right, up right, we are back from the break
- 20:38Speaker 2: that was my teazy with reminisce. You know, it's a
- 20:42Speaker 2: good idea to sit back and just reminisce about the
- 20:46Speaker 2: goodness of God and everything he's done for us. Ay Man,
- 20:51Speaker 2: go ahead and support our brother. Look him up on YouTube,
- 20:55Speaker 2: all that good stuff. Uh maybe one day we'll have
- 20:58Speaker 2: him here on the podcast. Now it's time for the
- 21:04Speaker 2: Accountability Partner segments. The Accountability Partner and started when I
- 21:10Speaker 2: was working the altar and I noticed my brothers and
- 21:14Speaker 2: sisters are struggling with the same sin, the same thing
- 21:17Speaker 2: over and over again. It's like David right on the
- 21:22Speaker 2: podcast here, you know, you got to come back to
- 21:25Speaker 2: the Lord. You gotta return your heart back to God
- 21:28Speaker 2: even when we fall to temptation or whatever. And so
- 21:33Speaker 2: sometimes you need somebody that you can talk to, somebody
- 21:37Speaker 2: you can pray with, somebody who can agree with you,
- 21:41Speaker 2: and also somebody who can speak it to your life.
- 21:44Speaker 2: And so that helps us staying on that narrow path.
- 21:48Speaker 2: You know, the broad road leads to destruction, there's a
- 21:52Speaker 2: narrow path path that leads to life. So if you
- 21:57Speaker 2: want to go further with our accountability partner, Sin on
- 22:00Speaker 2: the app with that top level menu once it drops down,
- 22:05Speaker 2: click on podcasts and then click on his Hot Radio podcast.

- 22:12Speaker 2: the Accountability Partner and then fill out all the information there.
- 22:17Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying, And that right there is
- 22:23Speaker 2: where you can go further in this segment. And also
- 22:27Speaker 2: we give you daily challenges on the podcast. And so
- 22:30Speaker 2: today's challenge is ask yourself who walks with you when
- 22:37Speaker 2: your attitude stinks right when you have a nasty attitude,
- 22:44Speaker 2: who continues to be there for you. Israel had miracles daily,
- 22:52Speaker 2: but they still complained. And Accountability Partner helps you stay
- 22:59Speaker 2: grateful when life gets difficult. Gratitude keeps you moving forward. Amen, hallelujah.
- 23:10Speaker 2: We have to remintain the attitude of gratitude. Hallelujah. Also,

- 28:15Speaker 2: Paul moves from history to confrontation in this message, and
- 28:22Speaker 2: it reminds me of Stephan when he preached his sermon.
- 28:27Speaker 2: Paul was there consenting to his death. And now Paul
- 28:31Speaker 2: does the same thing. He brings up history and then
