Transcript
- 0:00[SPEAKER_01]: Perfection is simply the fear that I'm not enough.
- 0:02[SPEAKER_01]: But if you're priming yourself to celebrate all the things that you are doing and who you are as a person, you're gonna realize you're fucking enough.
- 0:11[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome to the Beat till you see it podcast where we talk about taking messy action, knowing that perfect is boring.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_01]: I'm also Logan, Ply's instructor, and fit this business coach.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_01]: I've trained thousands of people around the world and the number one thing I see stopping people from achieving anything is self-doubt.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_01]: My friends, action brings clarity, and it's the antidote to fear.
- 0:36[SPEAKER_01]: Each week my guests will bring bold, executable, intrinsic, and targeted steps that you can use to put yourself first and be it till you see it.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_01]: It's a practice, not a perfect, let's get started.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome back to the beat till you see it in every recap of my course in life Brad and I are going to dig into the elevating combo.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_01]: I have a Brad bizjack.
- 1:00[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, just think that there is other words for Brad.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_01]: He is on a different whole vibe.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_00]: That's just a plane.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_00]: So the elevating does work.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he's in a different sphere.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_01]: If you haven't yet listened to that interview, you will want to listen to it after listen to this for sure, or you're going to want to join his amazing program that you can send up right now for free this week because I do it every year.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_01]: It's just so fun.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_01]: It's just amazing.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_01]: So today is, we're going to do that later.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_01]: But today is October 15th.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_01]: and it's the International Day of Rule Women.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_01]: International Day of Rule, Women, Champions, the Essential Contributions of Women in Agriculture on Rule Development F3, October 15th.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_01]: This day recognizes their tireless work in food security, economic stability, and environmental sustainability.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_01]: Join global efforts to empower rural women, advocate for their rights and support initiatives that foster their growth and well-being.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_01]: If focus on advocacy and support rather than commercial deals, organizations like you and women, the Food Agriculture Organization F-A-O, and H-I-F-R?
- 2:05[SPEAKER_00]: H-I-F-R?
- 2:06[SPEAKER_00]: No way.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_01]: No way.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_01]: It's H-I-F-R international.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_00]: It is.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_00]: I don't need to them.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_01]: You do?
- 2:13[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_00]: I've been for a very long time.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_01]: How did you find out about them?
- 2:18[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I started talking to some people.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_01]: All right, often launched fundraising campaign to not wear in a style so conduct anyone of them if you want to support women like this.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_01]: That's really cool.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_01]: You know, you'd be surprised how rural women everywhere are making this entire universe go around.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_01]: The clothes you wear, the food you eat, the things you buy, they are often, you know, like there's so much that as being in there, they need our support.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_01]: We do go to Cambodia a lot and one of the things that women there in the rural area needs, if they're not educated, they don't really have resources for if they're in a terrible situation, so it's really important that you, if you have time,
- 2:58[SPEAKER_01]: And if you don't have time, if you have money, and if you don't have money, if you have friends, that you find something, a cause like this that can motivate you to share in a way that is accessible to you because this is how we, this is how we make the world better place.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_01]: All right, so uplift it.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god, you guys, if you're on the wait list for students, you know, where we are starting our first cohorts for uplift my Pilis teacher training program for new

- 3:32[SPEAKER_01]: We are in the past, and we can't tell you in this moment.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_00]: But you're both the future and the past.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_01]: We are.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_00]: You're at your head around the past.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_01]: We are in the future in this moment for ourselves, but why you listen to this.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_01]: We are in the past.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_01]: And so if you were someone you know once we have applies instructor, then I want you to access ll.co slash UWS.

- 3:55[SPEAKER_01]: There's a few people who are doing remote learning options.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_01]: And so I'm just so excited about this program.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_01]: Aren't you Brad?
- 4:00[SPEAKER_01]: I'm excited.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's gonna change.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_01]: We're changing the industries.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_01]: I think so.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_01]: I think so.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_01]: There was just on beyond your reformer.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_01]: She just put a compilation to the other all people saying what is wrong with teacher training programs and uplift literally solves all those problems.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_01]: Just inherently.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_00]: We I would love to see that.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe really cool.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_01]: I know.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_01]: I should give that to you.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_00]: You should give that to me.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_01]: Let's make it out.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_01]: Let's make a note.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_01]: Let's make a note.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_01]: We won't know what that says in a second.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_00]: If you're here in your new and you know or not or not or you're old.

- 7:25[SPEAKER_00]: Do not wait.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_00]: It will sell out last year, sold out on three weeks.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_00]: It's here.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_01]: It's sell out in three weeks.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_01]: But zero people gave up their spots.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_01]: So there wasn't anyone from the wait, wait list.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_01]: So you, you just want to be ready.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we're going to be in the next content of people bump or drop and this time new everyone is coming and very excited about that it's going to be an epic trip.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_00]: Actually, it's happening right now.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_00]: It is an epic trip.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_01]: It's an epic trip.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_01]: We're in it.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_01]: We're having the best time.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_00]: We are in it.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_00]: Let's do this.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_01]: All right, I'm going to get into our charity of the week.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_01]: So who are we talking who are highlighting today?
- 8:05[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, the tenth is World Mental Health Day, today I know is the 15th, but the tenth was World Mental Health Day and the charity we wanted to highlight for this week is Mental Health America.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_00]: MHA is the oldest mental health non-profit in the country.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_00]: They've been at this since 1909.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_00]: What?
- 8:21[SPEAKER_01]: We had mental health support in 1909.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_01]: That's when you guys, they were calling women hysterical as a disease.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I'm grateful for the person who is so progressive in 1909.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_00]: Well, here's what we love about MHA.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_00]: Their whole approach is built around the idea that you shouldn't have to wait until you're in crisis to pay attention to your mental health.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_00]: They call it before stage four.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_00]: The same way you wouldn't wait until cancer is stage four to go to the doctor.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_00]: You shouldn't wait until your mental health is in a breaking point to do something about it.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_00]: They offer free online screening tools at their website where you can take a confident Joel self-assessment for things such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, and more.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_00]: Millions of people use these every single year.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_00]: They also run over 140 affiliates across the country, providing direct support education and advocacy.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_01]: This is incredible.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_00]: It's pretty amazing.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_00]: I was reading this thinking, this is amazing.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_00]: They've earned a four-star charity navigator rating and they've been accredited by the BBB, wise giving alliance.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_00]: If you want to check it on yourself or someone you care about, go to mhanational.org.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_01]: This has been really helpful a couple of years ago.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_01]: What if the family member?
- 9:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_00]: Well, it was available.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_00]: We just didn't know.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_00]: So that's why we're doing exactly this highlighting these charities.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_00]: Go to MHA national dot org and take a free screen yourself.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_00]: It only takes a few minutes and it might be the most important few minutes you spend this week.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_01]: That is why I kind of like this little segment that we do.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sure people wonder why we do it.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_01]: But the reality is is that I'm never never forget one of our first guests we ever had on this podcast.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_01]: she was such a charity advocate.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_01]: She was someone who doing a lot of her time and different things and she had the money so she's part of a lot of them and I just but what if you don't have the money but it's well you have time and if you have time you have friends and I have a hobby with a charity because I need a one and it's working out really really well but a lot of charities they they do guess they need money but they also just need awareness.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_01]: to keep going because it could be that you have you might not have the time or the money to support them, but you might have a friend who needs them.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_01]: And then you, or you might have a friend who's missing on an inheritance, they don't want to do it.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, I think this is really, we're now never know.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, hey, we're two dinks, you know, where's our money going?
- 10:36[SPEAKER_01]: However, I can't take with me, you gotta go somewhere.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_01]: So I hope that this helps you.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_01]: Just thinking around, I hope that this either helps you with advocacy that you're running to do or at least supporting your friends who might need something because I have an episode coming up with a psychologist.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_01]: And it is very difficult to get help when you need it.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_01]: I had no idea about this.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_01]: This is really cool.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_01]: Because also, are you, I was like one of my girlfriend's today, it's just, let's see, I couldn't decide if it was in, if I was having anxiety, if I was depressed or if it was
- 11:06[SPEAKER_01]: This quiz could have helped.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_00]: This quiz could have helped.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_01]: Anyways, all right.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I love this.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_01]: I hope you guys like it too.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_01]: If you have any recommendations of charities you'd like us to highlight, please send it to be at pod.comcestrquestions.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_01]: Or you can text us to 310-905-5534.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_00]: And I just wanted to take a quick second before we go on.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_00]: If the show gives you something, every single week here's how you can give back.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_00]: Come join us at onlineplottisclusters.com.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_00]: It's what funds this podcast and it's Pilates for everybody, Matt through full apparatus with weekly form feedback from real teachers, so you're never practicing low.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_00]: Go to online Pilatesclasses.com.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_01]: We're pretty amazing.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_00]: Come join the community.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be awesome.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_00]: So let's jump into it.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_00]: Let's talk about Mr. Brad Bizjad.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_00]: We love Brad.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_00]: I get it.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_00]: Every time I listen to him speak, I'm just floored.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_00]: And that only is he very eloquent in what he says.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_00]: Actually, his eloquence allows him to talk about challenging topics in such a kind way that it amazes me.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_01]: In a way that also challenges you, because sometimes he has said some things around.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_01]: Ooh, but he says it in a way or yes.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_01]: But you know, when people say, I don't know, what did you have to know?
- 12:19[SPEAKER_01]: You're right.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_01]: And then he tells him amazing story.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_01]: I do know, I probably do know.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_01]: So I just, I'm obsessed.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like he's an annual guest.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_00]: Every time every time he, every time I listen, I'm amazed.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_00]: So Brad Bizjack is a personal development expert and certified high performance coach dedicated to helping high achievers unlock deep alignment driven success, rejecting the classic trap of,
- 12:41[SPEAKER_00]: have do be psychology, Brad teaches a powerful B2 have model.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_00]: The reprograms, the limiting beliefs and toxic thoughts patterns operating in the blind spots of our own minds.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_00]: I've trained over 80,000 people globally.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_00]: 80,000.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_00]: He specializes in strength.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_01]: He states with less people.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he specializes in transforming high level ethereal mindset concepts into the strategic daily practices, right?
- 13:09[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that's that's part of it too.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_00]: The eloquence is he he makes it seem so accessible instead of this will just feel better about yourself crap.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_00]: He actually makes it tangible and relatable.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_01]: I couldn't agree more and his B do have is literally be a tell you see it.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, in the better way.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_00]: He did say that it's something he learned.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't something he came up with, but it is so aligned with the be it pod.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, well, and I will be I will apologize everyone.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_01]: We were supposed to talk about this last year.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_01]: But I got distracted and that's something else.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_01]: And then we were at our time.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_01]: So I was, can you come back on and do the B2RF?
- 13:45[SPEAKER_01]: Because it's so good.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_01]: And he's also amazing, because you are an OPC member, or an agency member, or an elevate member, then you got invited to a special free webinar that we had last week with Brad.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_01]: So just saying you got that freebie here's the deal.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_01]: We talk about perfectionism and he said before before you move on.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_00]: What, I just want to throw out there.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_00]: He is having a free event next week.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, you only did once a year.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_00]: Lastly, I mentioned at the beginning of this podcast, it's called ReWired and it's five day mindset challenge that he hosts every year in October.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_00]: So if you go to xxl.co slash bisjac, xxll.co slash bisjac, B-I-Z-J-C-K,
- 14:26[SPEAKER_00]: you can set up and really encourage you to do it less than I have done it multiple years running now.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_01]: Oh yeah, we love it also because when we it's always a little way back from Cambodia and so Brad is on Hong Kong time so he's up with me and I'm here put this in here.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_01]: This Brad is on Hong Kong time and that Brad is on his regular time.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_01]: But anyways, it's you will be lightened up and there are replays so but he doesn't it's a container and he only does it once a year.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_01]: That's it.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know why he doesn't do it more but he
- 14:56[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so he's sad and I love this.
- 14:58[SPEAKER_01]: He said perfection is just a way of being.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_01]: He explained that perfectionism isn't just a bad habit or a temporary behavior, it is embedded deeply into our subconscious identity.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_01]: When we try to fix it by changing our outward behavior without changing who we are being, the change fails.
- 15:17[SPEAKER_01]: And then we falsely call it self-sabotage.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_01]: And he said self-sabotage
- 15:26[SPEAKER_01]: is to survive, so it cannot do that.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_01]: It cannot buck you up.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_01]: because the robots have not taken over us yet.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_01]: And it protects you from threats and pain.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_01]: And therefore, your brain would never intentionally destroy the very host is in design to protect.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_01]: So I really love this because we do have a lot of perfectionists who listen to this podcast.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_01]: We have recovering perfectionists as a podcast.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_01]: And I know from many of the people that we get to talk to on our tours and in our membership, they think that they are causing themselves to sabotage some that they want to do.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_01]: And it's just because they haven't changed the inside.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_01]: They've only changed the outside.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_01]: And like you died your hair and expected yourself to be different.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_01]: But you're just, you just have a different color hair now.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, actually do something internally to change.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_00]: I did, I did think it was interesting that he said, you know, his controversial claim that self-sabotage is impossible because obviously we've heard so much about self-sabotage.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_00]: And sometimes I feel like I've even seen it in action.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_00]: But the idea that the brain is there to protect us and it will not let us do something.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_01]: Can you think about a time where you say you sabotage yourself?
- 16:38[SPEAKER_01]: Because I can think of times where I felt I was sabotage myself and if I look back in all honesty, I did those things because I didn't feel deserving of what, if I hadn't done that, what my life would have been like or what I would have gained.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_01]: I do think people self-sabotage in air quotes because he doesn't believe it's real.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_01]: where they self sabotage is because they actually do not feel deserving of the life that they're trying to create or they feel scared.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_01]: It's on a subconscious thing or they're afraid they're gonna lose friends and things like that.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_01]: I really do think that people, it's more self-conscious, it's a sub-sub-conscious that they do it.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_01]: They make those decisions because they don't want to lose what they know.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and somewhere in there that losing what they know is safer, quote unquote, then what they don't know the devil you know us but say for this better than the devil you don't know to you.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but it just is an interesting idea and I'm, you know, I don't know enough psychology to really understand it, but I guess the logic is there.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_00]: The logic is there and I do, I do think, though, that unless it's a intentional sacrifice, but that's not really what we're doing in self-sabotized mode.
- 17:49[SPEAKER_01]: I also think that when people self-sabotages because they actually never set themselves up for success in the first place, so they then just do the other thing.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_01]: Most people, I hate time at dies, but a dies is an easy place, right?
- 18:01[SPEAKER_01]: people that we've had Jenny Schatzel on and she, her first episode, she talks about how on Monday, she and her mom and her sister would go on a diet.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_01]: And then by Saturday, they binge out all weekend and then on Monday, well, they're doing that because they actually were depleting themselves of actual food.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_01]: They didn't diet in a way that was sustainable in the first place.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_01]: So of course, the only thing they have to do is sabotage them themselves because they're
- 18:24[SPEAKER_01]: body and brain are hungry, but if they actually were able to set themselves up for success by choosing to not do drastic dieting, but intentional thoughtful eating, meal prepping, talking with professionals who could understand what they're going through if they have a food addiction, what's going on, you know, then it's harder to self-sabotage.
- 18:43[SPEAKER_01]: You can't.
- 18:44[SPEAKER_01]: We have friends who are doing that right now who this sabotage is not available to them.
- 18:49[SPEAKER_01]: You know, so because they are prepped for it and they've had a long time.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_01]: So I just think that a lot of times people sabotage themselves because they didn't prepare for the changes they wanted to make at all.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_01]: They just did the outside change.
- 18:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I just want to go back to the first thing you said.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_00]: The perfectionism is just a way of being.
- 19:04[SPEAKER_00]: It was interesting because, you know, you had mentioned to him, oh, yes, you know, I'm a recovering perfectionist.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_00]: And he said, these are the stories that we tell ourselves.
- 19:12[SPEAKER_00]: He said, he said, you didn't come out of the womb.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_00]: A perfectionist.
- 19:16[SPEAKER_01]: No, it was two weeks late.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_00]: That's funny.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_00]: But somewhere along the line here, you decided I am a perfectionist, right?
- 19:26[SPEAKER_00]: And he said, he said something so fucking powerful and I can't remember exactly what it was.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_00]: So you gotta go back and listen, but he said, if you go back and you trace perfectionism back, it's a safety mechanism to most likely something that happened in your childhood.
- 19:41[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, 1,000 percent.
- 19:43[SPEAKER_01]: I can tell you guys, but my family listens to this podcast so we'll just do that on the other day.
- 19:47[SPEAKER_00]: Well then, but then we've decided that the safe route of being was to be perfect, whatever the perfect definition is for you.
- 19:58[SPEAKER_00]: And then now today, decades later, we're still attributing, not only are we, we're still hanging on to that decision that we made as a child that
- 20:09[SPEAKER_00]: Perfect to save right and so we try to control everything and all this stuff and he said it's just a way of being it's it's not it doesn't have to be Yeah, and I thought that was really interesting But he also reframes burnout as one of the most beautiful things that could ever happen in your life And that made me laugh out loud as like wow that's so true.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_01]: I love that Yes, I agree every time I've had a burnout It's like a rock bottom and I've always come out of it on the other side better, but go ahead
- 20:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, it doesn't have to be a rock bottom in like self destruction mode, but burnout is, you know, you just come to the conclusion you just can't do it this way anymore, because you're fried whatever it might be and he said it this is an indication that your soul is finally getting involved.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_00]: And he clarified that burnout is absolutely nothing to do with the amount of hours that you work.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, think about it.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_00]: Some people work like 80 hours a week.
- 20:58[SPEAKER_00]: How can they do that and not be burned out?
- 21:00[SPEAKER_00]: He said instead, what it actually is happening is it's a it's a clear indication that you're not listening to what your heart really needs because the amount of hours that you're spending out of alignment is too much.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, no, I think I couldn't agree more.
- 21:16[SPEAKER_01]: I just said, I kind of catch a call with a girlfriend.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_01]: She's even so busy and as, oh, I know, it's a busy season.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_01]: I feel really great, though.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_01]: And you're doing, I'm like, oh, yeah, I'm not in burnout.
- 21:25[SPEAKER_01]: Because one, I knew the season was going to be busy.
- 21:28[SPEAKER_01]: I plan for it.
- 21:28[SPEAKER_01]: I took things off my plate.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_01]: I haven't been a great.
- 21:31[SPEAKER_01]: friend to all of my friends, but also I'm in a bad one, either.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_01]: It's because I'm excited about what I'm doing.
- 21:38[SPEAKER_01]: So the workload isn't the problem, right?
- 21:41[SPEAKER_01]: So I think that's where it's really important.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_01]: I think a lot of people attribute the number of hours they commit to something they could lead to burnout.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_01]: And it's really, no, it's the alignment that are you in alignment with what you want to be doing?
- 21:52[SPEAKER_01]: And if you're not, then yeah, you're going to fucking burn out.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_00]: Well, anyway, like I said, he's badass.
- 22:00[SPEAKER_01]: You should definitely go back and listen.
- 22:02[SPEAKER_01]: Listen, and if you don't want to do that or you don't have the time and you're already sold, go to his thing.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, starts next week.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_00]: I think, like, yeah, next week.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_00]: So stick around.
- 22:11[SPEAKER_00]: We'll be right back because not only that, he had something very controversial for his be it actually, I don't know.
- 22:16[SPEAKER_01]: So I think he likes that.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_00]: We will be right back.
- 22:19[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I'll come back.
- 22:20[SPEAKER_00]: Finally, let's talk about those B-adaction items.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_00]: What bold, executable, intrinsic, or targeted action items can we take away from your conversation with Mr. Brad Bizger?
- 22:30[SPEAKER_00]: He challenged us to stop making it to do list.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_01]: I love this so much that I have made it to do a sense.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_01]: Have not.
- 22:40[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's amazing.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_01]: My bot will go, here are some things to focus on today.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_01]: That's right, we don't do it to do.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he explained the checking off urgent boxes can leave you feeling empty, whereas focusing on what is important for you to accomplish that day, brings fulfillment.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_00]: So rather, he advises us to switch to a daily question from what do I need to do today to what result do I want from today so that every single action that you take actually becomes targeted?
- 23:09[SPEAKER_00]: What result do I want from today?
- 23:12[SPEAKER_00]: Once you've identified what you are after and why you can reverse engineer a list strategically from that outcome as opposed to the to-do list and here's why.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_00]: But this is really interesting.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_00]: That is effectively project management, what he just said.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_00]: What outcome do I want from today?
- 23:26[SPEAKER_00]: I want blah, blah, blah.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_00]: I want three new clients today.
- 23:30[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, cool.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_00]: How am I going to get three new clients?
- 23:32[SPEAKER_00]: Bang, bang, bang, work and reverse.
- 23:34[SPEAKER_00]: As opposed to, here's my to-do list.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_00]: What happens on the to-do list?
- 23:37[SPEAKER_00]: Every single thing on the to-do list has the same priority level.
- 23:41[SPEAKER_00]: So your dreams have the same priority level as emptying the dishwasher.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, yes.
- 23:48[SPEAKER_00]: And it just doesn't work.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_00]: So I found this really, it made me laugh again out loud.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_00]: And he said it, it, you know, when you look at it this way, it's giving us strategic list that helps find the items that you've been procrastinating on the most and executing that one thing and only that one thing.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_01]: And by the way, most of the time that you actually do the thing that you've been procrastinating takes like seven minutes.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_01]: I watched this woman,
- 24:15[SPEAKER_00]: That would be insane.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_00]: It's always, it's just such a mental mountain.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_00]: And then when you actually do it, you'll, oh, that was it.
- 24:20[SPEAKER_01]: I know Kate and Mary spoke.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_01]: They've been on the podcast before.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_01]: They brought up some of the and kids.
- 24:24[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I was passionate on this one thing.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_01]: Because I said, oh, I want to clean up my closet.
- 24:28[SPEAKER_01]: And I've been procrastinating and finally, just did it.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_01]: And I just time myself to see how long does it take me to do.
- 24:33[SPEAKER_00]: So they took her 11 minutes.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_01]: to her 11 minutes.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_01]: Cause then she got in there.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, did it.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_01]: This was over here.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_01]: This goes over here.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_01]: Did it.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_01]: That's done.
- 24:41[SPEAKER_01]: 11 minutes.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_01]: I have been putting that off for more than 11 minutes of my time.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_01]: I moved it more than 11 minutes of time.
- 24:48[SPEAKER_01]: And I watched this other woman who does those hoarding cleanups and people, she's you guys are really obsessed with how long it takes me.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_01]: And so this is how I do it.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_01]: Did it.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_01]: Here's a timer.
- 24:56[SPEAKER_01]: And she showed us, I'm not kidding, Brad.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_01]: It looks like a how are you going to get through that and took six minutes.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_01]: It took three minutes.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_01]: It took two minutes and you know what but we make we build it up in our head and you're right.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_01]: We put the same our brain puts the same urgency on dishwasher versus your dream goal.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so yeah, pretty interesting.
- 25:17[SPEAKER_00]: What about you?
- 25:18[SPEAKER_01]: Worth equals love over time, particularly the love you give yourself actively, as what you said.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_01]: And the greatest act of love towards yourself is self-celebration, head of the fuck that we've been doing here every Friday.
- 25:33[SPEAKER_01]: And it's soon to be on Thursdays.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, you'll hear about that probably next month.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_01]: Don't worry, the fuck yeah isn't going anywhere.
- 25:39[SPEAKER_01]: It's just moving off of the Friday.
- 25:41[SPEAKER_01]: So he advised to celebrate three specific things daily,
- 25:44[SPEAKER_01]: I love this.
- 25:46[SPEAKER_01]: For those of you who need a rubric, here you go.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_00]: Here you go.
- 25:50[SPEAKER_01]: What actions you took today, celebrate that?
- 25:53[SPEAKER_01]: How you added value to the world, celebrate that, and who you are as a person, and you celebrate that.
- 25:57[SPEAKER_01]: And you guys need to be nicer to yourself.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_01]: You know what, what actions I took today?
- 26:01[SPEAKER_01]: I got a mammogram on I am celebrating that, cause I'm gonna tell you right now that was a fucking chore.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_01]: Eh.
- 26:06[UNKNOWN]: Eh.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_00]: Every one in the world is involved with how long it took me to get.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_01]: And how did I have value to the world?
- 26:12[SPEAKER_01]: I cleaned out my jewelry closet and I gave it to the SPCA.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_01]: And then I went and checked all the employees there and I know to make sure that they had all the support and love that they needed from me.
- 26:20[SPEAKER_01]: And who am I as a person?
- 26:21[SPEAKER_01]: Well, clearly very generous.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, so I think, and then you said, this practice, primes a subconscious have a bias towards action and contribution.
- 26:36[SPEAKER_01]: And oh my god, in your rewired program, you're going to do next week, you're going to learn about why those things are really important towards you or serve the what you want to do in this world, all of us want to have action and contribution, but we don't really know how and so this is priming your subconscious to
- 26:52[SPEAKER_01]: have a bias towards that.
- 26:54[SPEAKER_01]: And as your perception of worth increases, your tendency to go into perfection dissipates, and that is so true, because perfection is simply the fear that I'm not enough.
- 27:04[SPEAKER_01]: But if you're priming yourself to celebrate all the things that you are doing and who you are as a person, you
- 27:10[SPEAKER_01]: you're going to realize you're fucking enough.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_01]: You have the mantras on your walls.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_01]: I know you have these posts.
- 27:15[SPEAKER_01]: It's I see the things you share.
- 27:17[SPEAKER_01]: I'm enough.
- 27:17[SPEAKER_01]: You're enough.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_01]: We're all enough.
- 27:19[SPEAKER_01]: But you don't really believe it because you're not priming your subconscious to do it.
- 27:22[SPEAKER_01]: So xxll.co slash bitch shack to go get yourself a wired.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_01]: Prim away.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_01]: I'm also looking.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm Brad Crowell.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_01]: We're so grateful for you.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_01]: And I know I kind of brought there that the podcast is changing, don't worry.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_01]: It's not changing so much.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_01]: It's just that we, it's been six years.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_01]: It's episode seven, four or six.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm being at TIC yet.
- 27:42[SPEAKER_01]: And we want, we have some things we're doing, but it will not affect how much you love this podcast.
- 27:47[SPEAKER_01]: I think it will actually make you love us even more.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_01]: So keep sending your wins in.
- 27:52[SPEAKER_01]: Keep sharing this with the friend.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_01]: And until next time, be do have or in other words, be it TIC yet.
