- 0:00Speaker 1: Hello, gorgeous, It's Lala Kent. Welcome to Untraditionally Lala. Hey babes,
- 0:07Speaker 1: Welcome to the bonus episode of Untraditionally Lala. I have
- 0:10Speaker 1: Chris Appleton. They have questions, the people have questions. Chris
- 0:13Speaker 1: You ready?
- 0:14Speaker 2: Yeah, all right?
- 0:15Speaker 1: Would you ever go on a reality TV as a
- 0:17Speaker 1: main cast member or say yes to a show revolving
- 0:20Speaker 1: around you?
- 0:23Speaker 3: Yeah? Yeah. I think I've been so a part of
- 0:25Speaker 3: reality TV, Like obviously being on the Cardashians. People always go,
- 0:29Speaker 3: I see you, and I don't really watch that stuff,
- 0:31Speaker 3: but I don't know. I think it's nice to see
- 0:33Speaker 3: more of the life and more of what goes on
- 0:35Speaker 3: behind the scenes of it all, and it's such an
- 0:37Speaker 3: interesting place to be.
- 0:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 0:39Speaker 3: So, yeah, definitely.
- 0:40Speaker 1: I've been doing reality TV a long time and the
- 0:44Speaker 1: Glam team always is a part of all the drama.
- 0:46Speaker 2: You talked about it. You guys are like therapists totally.
- 0:50Speaker 1: What do you think will be the new trend for
- 0:53Speaker 1: hair in twenty twenty six?
- 0:55Speaker 3: I think maybe individuality I got I asked like a lot,
- 0:58Speaker 3: and then there's one thing. I think it's just more
- 1:00Speaker 3: about finding out, like what really suits you. That's when
- 1:03Speaker 3: something's hot, Like I might say platinum blondes in and
- 1:07Speaker 3: you're like, yeah, that's cute, but it's not necessarily your
- 1:08Speaker 3: best version of you, Whereas like you found something that
- 1:11Speaker 3: really works for you, like the color, the tonge and
- 1:13Speaker 3: the softness of the fact you've got healthy hair. Like
- 1:15Speaker 3: I think it's finding out what works for you and
- 1:17Speaker 3: like really owning it. I think that's confident.
- 1:19Speaker 2: I love that because some of the transit I cannot
- 1:21Speaker 2: get down.
- 1:22Speaker 3: It's like when everyone says a Bob's back and I'm like,
- 1:24Speaker 3: very few people suit a Bob. Well, no, a lot
- 1:26Speaker 3: of people can suit a bob in different variations. But
- 1:29Speaker 3: it's also like a nightmare to grow out, and trends
- 1:31Speaker 3: change so fast. Now Bob might be in one month,
- 1:34Speaker 3: but the next month it's like wasistlamp hair waves And
- 1:36Speaker 3: it's like, how do people keep up? You know?
- 1:38Speaker 2: So I can't keep up exactly, not a question.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Just want to tell you that you should know you're
- 1:43Speaker 1: the people's sexiest man alive.
- 1:45Speaker 3: Oh things, it's cute.
- 1:48Speaker 2: We all agree.
- 1:49Speaker 1: If a celebrity treated you poorly and kept hiring you,
- 1:52Speaker 1: would you say no or would you go back?
- 1:55Speaker 3: I think I'm probably I'm a fixer. I'd probably want
- 1:57Speaker 3: to say, what's going on here, let's talk about it,
- 2:01Speaker 3: you know, I'd probably want to He's like, I've.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Done a lot of sor searching, and I think you
- 2:05Speaker 1: need to look in their But.
- 2:06Speaker 3: I don't do that anymore. I'm not about fixing people.
- 2:08Speaker 3: It used to be my I think that was my
- 2:10Speaker 3: toxic trait, thinking I can I should fix people. And
- 2:13Speaker 3: I'm just like people are who they are. So I
- 2:15Speaker 3: think you just have to learn to protect your own self.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Yeah, your own peace. If you could style the hair
- 2:21Speaker 1: of anyone, living or dead, who would it be? Oh?
- 2:24Speaker 2: Who wouldn't want that?
- 2:26Speaker 3: Just such a I want to just talk to her.
- 2:29Speaker 3: She's so fascinating. Yeah, She's been on everyone I've worked with,
- 2:33Speaker 3: like mood board at some point, you know, there's always
- 2:35Speaker 3: been like a nod to her. And she still is
- 2:37Speaker 3: like just a Hollywood I can't you know. And I
- 2:40Speaker 3: look back at her. I know how hard, how hard
- 2:42Speaker 3: hair is and bleached hair and stuff, and she had
- 2:44Speaker 3: that like amazing hair and it's still referenced all the time,
- 2:47Speaker 3: and there's been very few people pulled it off like
- 2:49Speaker 3: she did. I know, I don't know it's just such
- 2:52Speaker 3: an era. I love that it's kind of fascinated by
- 2:55Speaker 3: her life as well.
- 2:58Speaker 2: It's just me now Chris is out the door.
- 3:01Speaker 1: That man is one of the most beautiful human beings
- 3:04Speaker 1: I think I've ever seen in my life. And let
- 3:08Speaker 1: me tell you, he also goes to doctor Diamond for
- 3:11Speaker 1: like facials and things like that. And Doctor Diamond at
- 3:14Speaker 1: this point is like world renowned, right, he is incredible
- 3:18Speaker 1: And he has even said that Chris Appleton has one
- 3:21Speaker 1: of the most gorgeous faces he's ever seen. And I'm
- 3:24Speaker 1: co signing like pictures do not do him justice. I
- 3:26Speaker 1: know all of us are like, are we sure you
- 3:29Speaker 1: don't want to give the ladies a chance again? I
- 3:33Speaker 1: absolutely loved that interview. And I think it's so easy
- 3:38Speaker 1: to get caught up in Instagram and the TikTok and
- 3:44Speaker 1: everybody you know showing the highlight reel of how amazing
- 3:48Speaker 1: life is and just reading his book, and I know
- 3:53Speaker 1: everyone's sick of hearing me say this.
- 3:55Speaker 2: But you do feel less alone.
- 3:58Speaker 1: I think that that's like what everyone is craving, is
- 4:01Speaker 1: like realness and authenticity and knowing that the people who
- 4:05Speaker 1: you look at and go they've really got it all
- 4:09Speaker 1: figured out, Like he's in rooms with the most glamorous
- 4:13Speaker 1: A list celebrities, and then you read his book and
- 4:17Speaker 1: you go, wow, there's so much that this person has
- 4:22Speaker 1: has been through really tough moments and just looking within.
- 4:26Speaker 1: I know I've spoken a lot about the work that
- 4:29Speaker 1: I had to do coming off the heels of you know,
- 4:34Speaker 1: my final season on a show. My twenty twenty six
- 4:38Speaker 1: resolution is also to stop referring to that part of
- 4:42Speaker 1: my life and moving on.
- 4:44Speaker 2: But you do have to look.
- 4:46Speaker 1: In the mirror and like go beyond, you know, the
- 4:49Speaker 1: fine lines and wrinkles that you may see synking in
- 4:51Speaker 1: even though they're hard to look past, or the gray
- 4:53Speaker 1: hairs that are coming, and really go, you know, what
- 4:58Speaker 1: changes can I make in my life beyond the control
- 5:02Speaker 1: of other people, which we know we have no control over,
- 5:05Speaker 1: but like what can I do so that I reach
- 5:07Speaker 1: happiness and peace? And talking to Chris, it's like he
- 5:12Speaker 1: really put in the work to.
- 5:14Speaker 2: Get there, and that is not easy. It's intense.
- 5:17Speaker 1: It can become debilitating to like look at your own
- 5:20Speaker 1: self and go, what's not working within?
- 5:22Speaker 2: You know, and we're all there.
- 5:24Speaker 1: You can have all the money in the world, I
- 5:25Speaker 1: remember sitting on the couch in Utah and being like,
- 5:29Speaker 1: when I get this, I'll be happy.
- 5:30Speaker 2: Once I do that, I'll be happy. Girl.
- 5:33Speaker 1: I have gotten all the botox in the world. I've
- 5:35Speaker 1: gotten the jaw line. She's struggling right now. I'm thinking
- 5:37Speaker 1: about getting a niptuck.
- 5:38Speaker 2: But we're not talking about that right now.
- 5:39Speaker 1: We're not talking about that right now, talking about the
- 5:42Speaker 1: inner But you know, once I make X amount of
- 5:46Speaker 1: dollars per month, then I'll be happy. And there were
- 5:50Speaker 1: times where I would be sitting on the couch in
- 5:53Speaker 1: LA with all of the things that were on my
- 5:55Speaker 1: to do list, we had accomplished them, and I was
- 5:57Speaker 1: so lonely and miserable, and I had to look in
- 6:00Speaker 1: the mirror beyond beyond all the shit that I wanted
- 6:03Speaker 1: to tweak, and say like, we got to make an
- 6:07Speaker 1: internal change here, because this mental state is torture. So
- 6:13Speaker 1: I highly recommend his book. You will fall even harder
- 6:16Speaker 1: for him. You will feel so much less alone. Not
- 6:19Speaker 1: only is it his story, but it's I don't like
- 6:23Speaker 1: the word self help, self help books.
- 6:26Speaker 2: I don't know why that's always bugged me, But.
- 6:28Speaker 1: I mean this book, you literally read it and you're like, damn,
- 6:32Speaker 1: this really freaking helped me a lot. So I'm very
- 6:37Speaker 1: proud of him. As he went out the door, I
- 6:39Speaker 1: was like sending him good juju. I was like New
- 6:42Speaker 1: York Times bestseller, New York Times bestseller. He's like, I
- 6:44Speaker 1: really hope, so like, you'll be fine. You'll be fine, babe.
- 6:49Speaker 1: Thank you guys for listening to me ramble and Tangent Again.
- 6:53Speaker 1: I'm gonna catch you guys on Wednesday for a regular
- 6:55Speaker 1: episode and again next week.
