- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome to the favorites presented by draft Kings. The crown
- 0:13Speaker 1: is yours. We are an action network podcast. I'm your host,
- 0:17Speaker 1: Brandon Kravitz joined by the first lady, Kendra Middleton, a
- 0:20Speaker 1: week eight breakdown preview injury updates, and our five official
- 0:26Speaker 1: plays in the contest. three and two week last week
- 0:30Speaker 1: backing up a five and a week from week six
- 0:35Speaker 1: so i'm excited to dig into it we're hot right
- 0:37Speaker 1: now the lions t-shirt has made its way back onto
- 0:40Speaker 1: the podcast how you feeling i'm.
- 0:42Speaker 2: Feeling pretty good i had a really good week last
- 0:45Speaker 2: week i'm a little nervous about this card this week
- 0:49Speaker 2: but you know we'll figure it out we'll be good it's.
- 0:51Speaker 1: All good I think we're supposed to be nervous. If
- 0:55Speaker 1: you're not nervous, if you're feeling overconfident, that's usually a
- 0:57Speaker 1: bad place to be. I've been very, very methodical with
- 1:01Speaker 1: my wagers this week, and I'm excited to tee some
- 1:05Speaker 1: of these up for you. Now, we have got trades
- 1:08Speaker 1: galore in the NFL to discuss. Quentin Nelson has been
- 1:12Speaker 1: traded from Indianapolis to Seattle. Indianapolis continued their fire sale
- 1:17Speaker 1: by getting rid of DeForest Buckner. He's now on the 49ers.
- 1:22Speaker 1: Jeffrey Simmons, as of today, traded from Tennessee to the
- 1:26Speaker 1: Chicago Bears, one of the best interior defensive linemen in
- 1:30Speaker 1: the NFL. We are seeing the Bears' Super Bowl odds
- 1:33Speaker 1: shrink pretty drastically, 14-1 to start the day. They are
- 1:39Speaker 1: now down to 10-1 to win the Super Bowl. Which
- 1:43Speaker 1: of these registers the most for you?
- 1:46Speaker 3: It's crazy to me.
- 1:47Speaker 2: I think the big takeaway that I have from this
- 1:49Speaker 2: is that it's nuts that the rich just keep getting richer.
- 1:52Speaker 2: I never want to hear anything about the salary cap
- 1:54Speaker 2: ever again. I think it has to be the Bears though, right?
- 1:57Speaker 2: Because they clearly think that they have a Super Bowl
- 1:59Speaker 2: window right now, especially with Caleb's on a rookie deal.
- 2:03Speaker 2: So I think it's got to be the Bears. They're
- 2:05Speaker 2: making money moves. I know that they have, if not,
- 2:07Speaker 2: I think it might be statistically the most difficult schedule
- 2:10Speaker 2: for the second half of the season. So I think
- 2:13Speaker 2: that they did the right move at the right time.
- 2:15Speaker 2: I'm curious to see who's going to be next. But
- 2:17Speaker 2: I think it's got to be the Bears. The 49ers
- 2:19Speaker 2: are injured. And so that's just a big question mark
- 2:22Speaker 2: of them staying healthy long term. Seattle's got to get
- 2:24Speaker 2: Sam Darnold kind of reined in for their season to
- 2:27Speaker 2: be really fully on track.
- 2:28Speaker 3: So it's got to be the Bears for me.
- 2:31Speaker 1: It's hard to differentiate, which I like more because I
- 2:33Speaker 1: think both are the perfect moves for those two teams.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Seattle addressing what was clearly a weakness at their guard positions.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Now they can pair Quinton Nelson with Charlie Cross, and
- 2:46Speaker 1: the left side of their offensive line is going to
- 2:48Speaker 1: be nasty, and that was one of the weaknesses of
- 2:51Speaker 1: the team just a year ago. They get Charbonnet back soon.
- 2:55Speaker 1: This team all of a sudden is going to go
- 2:56Speaker 1: from a team that can't run to having a pretty
- 2:58Speaker 1: good running back and the best running run blocking guard
- 3:01Speaker 1: in the NFL. So they're going to get a lot
- 3:03Speaker 1: better offensively. You saw what the upside was on defense
- 3:07Speaker 1: for them against the chiefs. They dared Patrick Mahomes to
- 3:10Speaker 1: beat them and he couldn't. Um, so that's damning on
- 3:13Speaker 1: my homes, but also shows that Seattle's defense is as
- 3:16Speaker 1: good as it was when they won the super bowl. Um,
- 3:19Speaker 1: and then the bears needed to find a way to,
- 3:22Speaker 1: to plug up the run. And they did that with Simmons.
- 3:25Speaker 1: I'm in love with both of these moves. I did
- 3:26Speaker 1: sprint to the window the second the Simmons news came
- 3:29Speaker 1: out and bet the Bears at 14-1 to win the
- 3:32Speaker 1: Super Bowl. I now only have two Super Bowl tickets
- 3:35Speaker 1: sitting in my pocket. Bears 14-1 and our Jacksonville Jaguars
- 3:40Speaker 1: at 30-1.
- 3:40Speaker 3: No Falcons?
- 3:43Speaker 1: Oh, and the Falcons. I bet the Falcons still in
- 3:47Speaker 1: the Superbowl before last year's Superbowl. So I almost forgot
- 3:50Speaker 1: that I was holding onto that ticket. Thanks for keeping
- 3:53Speaker 1: me honest.
- 3:53Speaker 2: You're welcome. I have a question for you. Give me
- 3:57Speaker 2: a hot take trade right now.
- 4:02Speaker 1: So I think, I do think Jonathan Taylor is going
- 4:06Speaker 1: to be on the move. The contract is the only
- 4:08Speaker 1: hesitation that I have because Quentin Nelson was on an
- 4:11Speaker 1: expiring deal. They just paid Jonathan Taylor. So whoever brings
- 4:14Speaker 1: him in, is going to have to shoulder the load
- 4:17Speaker 1: of that contract. I think that's why we're seeing him
- 4:20Speaker 1: slower to be moved. But I don't know how he
- 4:23Speaker 1: and his agent aren't pounding the door of Miss Ursae saying,
- 4:27Speaker 1: get me the hell out of here. And I think
- 4:29Speaker 1: he's going to go to either ruin your Jonah Coleman
- 4:34Speaker 1: bets in Denver or Minnesota. I'll say Denver. Jonathan Taylor
- 4:39Speaker 1: to the Denver Broncos would be my hot take trade.
- 4:42Speaker 3: That is a really hot take. I don't hate it.
- 4:44Speaker 2: I think he's definitely going to be on the move.
- 4:45Speaker 2: I don't think you're far off on that one. I
- 4:48Speaker 2: am going to say if the Eagles lose this weekend,
- 4:51Speaker 2: reek woolen to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
- 4:55Speaker 1: They need to start selling some pieces. I think they
- 4:58Speaker 1: need to basically say like Devante Smith and Jalen Carter,
- 5:03Speaker 1: Cooper Dujene.
- 5:04Speaker 3: Cooper is having a bad year.
- 5:07Speaker 2: I will say if I love Cooper Dejean, I think
- 5:10Speaker 2: that he is hilarious. But if you have not seen
- 5:12Speaker 2: the comments on his recent Abercrombie ad on Instagram, take
- 5:17Speaker 2: a gander.
- 5:18Speaker 1: I mean, you know that I depend on you for
- 5:21Speaker 1: these things. So no, I'm not. You don't come to
- 5:24Speaker 1: me for this analysis.
- 5:25Speaker 4: Great content.
- 5:26Speaker 3: Great content.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Also want to give a shout out to my kid.
- 5:29Speaker 1: Not only is he turning seven tomorrow. So happy birthday, Owen.
- 5:33Speaker 1: But second year in a row that my kiddo has
- 5:35Speaker 1: won my works football pool.
- 5:39Speaker 4: Wow.
- 5:39Speaker 1: $ 100 buy-in at the beginning of the season, you get 150.
- 5:42Speaker 1: If you finish in first place any given week and
- 5:45Speaker 1: you can win multiple times throughout the year, if you're
- 5:47Speaker 1: lucky enough, but he does the picks. It's one of
- 5:50Speaker 1: the ways that we bond over football. I brought this
- 5:53Speaker 1: up a year ago when he won because I was
- 5:55Speaker 1: doing so bad. I just gave my phone to my kid.
- 5:57Speaker 1: This has now become a father son thing. And he,
- 6:00Speaker 1: because he's six. He hasn't spent the money. He just
- 6:04Speaker 1: has a little Mario wallet. He now has $ 300. This
- 6:09Speaker 1: kid's rolling in it. He made more money last weekend
- 6:13Speaker 1: than I did.
- 6:14Speaker 2: You announced that your wife is now into sports betting
- 6:17Speaker 2: on Monday, and now you've got the kid into it.
- 6:19Speaker 2: You are creating a generation of degeneracy.
- 6:21Speaker 1: I was going to ask. That was going to be
- 6:24Speaker 1: my follow-up to this is I wanted to humble brag
- 6:26Speaker 1: on my son, but also a ruling from you. Is
- 6:28Speaker 1: this a solid dad move to have a six-year-old in
- 6:31Speaker 1: a football pool and to create that sort of father
- 6:34Speaker 1: son bond or, or am I creating a degen too young?
- 6:39Speaker 2: I think it's going to be really dope until you
- 6:40Speaker 2: get a phone call from the principal's office that he
- 6:44Speaker 2: was selling really shitty bedding lines on the playground.
- 6:47Speaker 1: I would, I would be, So ridiculously proud. I now
- 6:53Speaker 1: have to pretend like he's in trouble.
- 6:54Speaker 5: Yes.
- 6:54Speaker 2: It's like the time that I, the only time I
- 6:56Speaker 2: ever got suspended in school, I got suspended from school
- 7:00Speaker 2: for mooning my class in elementary school. And I distinctly
- 7:04Speaker 2: remember my dad, like sitting me on the bed, like
- 7:06Speaker 2: trying to lecture me, but like could not be serious
- 7:09Speaker 2: at all because he thought that it was so funny.
- 7:11Speaker 3: And I was like, you do it all the time.
- 7:13Speaker 3: Why am I in trouble?
- 7:14Speaker 1: I know this is what happens when unserious people have children.
- 7:18Speaker 1: This is, this is the by-product of that. Um, and
- 7:21Speaker 1: if he wins again, I'm actually going to have him
- 7:23Speaker 1: just replace me on the show. I think that would be, that's,
- 7:25Speaker 1: that's the fair response. If he wins for a second
- 7:28Speaker 1: week this year, I will bow out of the favorites.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Evan Abrams, join us. Would you for your two minute trends?
- 7:36Speaker 1: And am I a good father?
- 7:39Speaker 6: I would say you are a good father. I mean,
- 7:43Speaker 6: I think something like this is very respectful. I think
- 7:45Speaker 6: there's no issue with this. I do see other people
- 7:48Speaker 6: get in trouble for it, but who cares? We are
- 7:51Speaker 6: a degenerate show. We're having a great time here. We
- 7:54Speaker 6: give some good advice. Let the kid win some pools.
- 7:56Speaker 1: Degenerate dads raise degenerate children. Before you move on, we
- 8:00Speaker 1: are getting a request from the back end that Kendra
- 8:04Speaker 1: explains why she was mooning people in elementary school.
- 8:08Speaker 2: Because I knew that, allegedly, it was funny, and I
- 8:11Speaker 2: thought that it would be hilarious to be funny, so
- 8:14Speaker 2: I moved my pre-K class.
- 8:16Speaker 1: I thought it would be hilarious to be funny. Wow.
- 8:20Speaker 1: If that does not explain the personality of this show,
- 8:23Speaker 1: I don't know what does. All right, Evan, back to you.
- 8:25Speaker 1: Two-minute trends. What you got?
- 8:27Speaker 7: The trend!
- 8:31Speaker 6: I mean, the one that everyone's talking about for tonight,
- 8:33Speaker 6: and this is Thursday Night Football, Carolina Green Bay, is
- 8:36Speaker 6: the fact that Carolina's on a 13-game ATS winning streak
- 8:40Speaker 6: off a straight-up loss.
- 8:42Speaker 7: So, a loss last week in that spot right now.
- 8:44Speaker 6: It's tied for the longest ATS winning streak after a
- 8:47Speaker 6: straight-up loss in the same season in the Super Bowl era.
- 8:50Speaker 6: Lions did it a few years ago, and the Colts
- 8:52Speaker 6: did it under Peyton. Uh, so wild, wild stretch right now.
- 8:57Speaker 6: So looking for that dead cat bounce is what Carolina
- 9:00Speaker 6: is tonight. Three and a half in green Bay. Uh,
- 9:03Speaker 6: the Browns have some crazy stuff with that Steelers game.
- 9:06Speaker 6: So a lot of stuff going on about teams coming
- 9:09Speaker 6: off international games without buys.
- 9:12Speaker 7: I know it's been pretty bad. One and nine. Oh,
- 9:15Speaker 7: and a different stats out there. It's terrible. Not a
- 9:17Speaker 7: good stat. Uh, other way.
- 9:19Speaker 6: And this isn't very predictive of the game today, uh,
- 9:22Speaker 6: this weekend, but, uh, Brown Steelers, I mean, the Steelers
- 9:25Speaker 6: have won 22 straight home games regular season versus the Browns.
- 9:30Speaker 6: I put this out yesterday, but even when the spread's
- 9:32Speaker 6: four or less, Steelers have won nine straight at home
- 9:35Speaker 6: against the Browns, dating back to 1990. So this would
- 9:38Speaker 6: be a complete turnaround. But the craziest thing, Cleveland are
- 9:41Speaker 6: going to go over their win total this week. So
- 9:43Speaker 6: five and a half. And during this season, they are
- 9:45Speaker 6: already five and two. So Cleveland will go over their
- 9:49Speaker 6: win total with a win for the in consecutive seasons.
- 9:52Speaker 6: If they do it, which I'm sure they'll win one
- 9:54Speaker 6: more game this year, hopefully, for the first time since 2001-2002.
- 9:56Speaker 6: Browns haven't gone over their win total in consecutive years
- 10:01Speaker 6: since 2001-2002. So this is literally uncharted territory. And no
- 10:06Speaker 6: team's gone over or under their win total this early
- 10:08Speaker 6: in the season since 2013.
- 10:11Speaker 7: So crazy situation when it comes to Cleveland. When you
- 10:14Speaker 7: look at New England.
- 10:16Speaker 6: This trend just kind of keeps popping up because the
- 10:19Speaker 6: Patriots in this role a lot, but Drake made 16
- 10:22Speaker 6: and 0 straight up, 12 and 4 against the spread.
- 10:26Speaker 7: As a favorite of three plus points.
- 10:29Speaker 6: Obviously, best mark we've seen in the Super Bowl era
- 10:31Speaker 6: for any quarterback, but I found it kind of interesting.
- 10:33Speaker 6: In a quarterback's first 40 starts, has any quarterback ever
- 10:37Speaker 6: done this before? And actually, Jim McMahon was 12-0 in
- 10:40Speaker 6: this spot as well, so good company for Drake.
- 10:43Speaker 7: I'll give you one more, and then you can comment.
- 10:45Speaker 6: The line for Minnesota-Detroit will also be something that everyone
- 10:49Speaker 6: will talk about this weekend. Three and a half for Detroit,
- 10:53Speaker 6: and Minnesota is undefeated. Four times in the Super Bowl
- 10:56Speaker 6: era has an undefeated team in their seventh game or
- 10:58Speaker 6: later been an underdog of three plus points versus a
- 11:01Speaker 6: team with a win percentage below 70%. All four lost outright,
- 11:05Speaker 6: but interesting enough, it hasn't happened since 2009. And it's
- 11:09Speaker 6: also funny that the Vikings are now on this list
- 11:11Speaker 6: for the third time.
- 11:13Speaker 7: Vikings were in.
- 11:14Speaker 6: This list on 2009 and in 2000.
- 11:17Speaker 7: So we will.
- 11:19Speaker 1: See how all that goes. Such good teams and such
- 11:22Speaker 1: bad quarterback play. I think that's how you get there.
- 11:25Speaker 6: Yes, that is 100%. The other one that's super interesting,
- 11:28Speaker 6: I guess, is also the Eagles. 0-7 in the second
- 11:31Speaker 6: half this year, winless. So that is a very unique
- 11:36Speaker 6: thing when you look through history in terms of teams
- 11:38Speaker 6: who have no wins second half this late into the year.
- 11:40Speaker 6: Usually you just kind of find your way there into
- 11:43Speaker 6: one of them. So terrible, terrible start for Philly.
- 11:47Speaker 2: Evan, I'm hoping that you have to contribute to our
- 11:51Speaker 2: picks at some point because I think it's hilarious when
- 11:53Speaker 2: you do. But what is your favorite and least favorite
- 11:56Speaker 2: team to back this week? Oh, Lord.
- 12:00Speaker 7: Well, on the pod with Stuck.
- 12:03Speaker 6: And Doug, I had my favorite bet as the Broncos
- 12:07Speaker 6: this week. I did that at plus one and a half.
- 12:11Speaker 6: I mean, there's a bunch of games I like. Let
- 12:13Speaker 6: me just go through. I usually send Gifford a message
- 12:15Speaker 6: early week with some bets I like. Jets, Browns, Titans, Chargers,
- 12:20Speaker 6: and Broncos were the five games that I had initially
- 12:24Speaker 6: looked at trying to narrow down one bet. Tennessee, I think,
- 12:29Speaker 6: is an interesting case. Obviously, they just traded Simmons, so
- 12:31Speaker 6: I would wait absolute last minute. And now the defense, obviously,
- 12:35Speaker 6: a lot less powerful than they were 20 minutes ago.
- 12:39Speaker 6: But I think all of those spots are intriguing. I
- 12:41Speaker 6: like Cleveland with the hook. Me and Stuck both like
- 12:44Speaker 6: the Jets. But I think that Broncos game has an
- 12:48Speaker 6: intrigue to it. We're getting Sertan back. A lot of
- 12:50Speaker 6: injuries on the Denver side, but I think there's still
- 12:52Speaker 6: more holes on KC. My least favorite bet on the board?
- 12:56Speaker 6: Lord have mercy.
- 12:57Speaker 7: I don't know how.
- 12:59Speaker 6: you bet on Sunday night football. I just don't know
- 13:02Speaker 6: what you're supposed to do with that game. So that
- 13:05Speaker 6: would be like my least favorite bet on the board
- 13:07Speaker 6: to do anything with. I think you'd have some fun,
- 13:08Speaker 6: the props, but laying it with Washington and having anything
- 13:12Speaker 6: to do with Philly. I also think there's like a
- 13:14Speaker 6: sneaky thing where like, there's going to be a bunch
- 13:16Speaker 6: of trades happening right now. If you could try to
- 13:19Speaker 6: get in on some numbers, Garrett Wilson, Saquon Barkley, jonathan
- 13:22Speaker 6: taylor lots of talk talk going on those are going
- 13:26Speaker 6: to move a half point a point and you can
- 13:29Speaker 6: decide whether that's too much or too little but they
- 13:31Speaker 6: will have impacts on numbers of the trade deadlines now
- 13:33Speaker 6: what like 10 days away well.
- 13:35Speaker 1: If we end up with some disagreement evan we're bringing
- 13:37Speaker 1: you back in thanks so much for the trends more

- 14:38Speaker 1: in on the action as well by using the code
- 14:40Speaker 1: action over at SixScore.com. Doc, we have got to start
- 14:45Speaker 1: where it seems like we always start, which is Lamar Jackson.
- 14:48Speaker 1: A nice jog out onto the practice field. He logged
- 14:51Speaker 1: to practice. He looks to be good to go, but
- 14:54Speaker 1: we've said that before your hit rate on Lamar Jackson
- 14:57Speaker 1: news is a hundred percent. So what are we looking at?
- 15:01Speaker 5: Well, you know, we started talking about this a couple
- 15:03Speaker 5: weeks ago. This was a couple weeks ago to me,
- 15:07Speaker 5: the telltale week, the 50-50 week. At this point, the
- 15:12Speaker 5: way that he moved onto the practice field, one FP
- 15:16Speaker 5: as of this recording, he's likely to get several others. Look,
- 15:20Speaker 5: it's starting to look good that he's going to play.
- 15:22Speaker 5: But let me remind you, return to play does not
- 15:26Speaker 5: mean 100% healthy. There's still actually a chance that he
- 15:30Speaker 5: doesn't play. Remember, he had a setback. The ankle swelled up.
- 15:33Speaker 5: And he and his teammates are saying he wants to
- 15:36Speaker 5: be 100% healthy when he plays. I'm not sure that
- 15:39Speaker 5: he's 100% healthy yet. Yes, odds are he probably plays.
- 15:43Speaker 1: That's what the.
- 15:44Speaker 5: Line is saying. But will he be Lamar Jackson is
- 15:47Speaker 5: my next question. Will he be willing to run the
- 15:50Speaker 5: football as a big part of his game? Or will
- 15:54Speaker 5: he be more from the pocket, which he's been very
- 15:56Speaker 5: good at? But part of being very good at that
- 15:58Speaker 5: is having the threat of running. So he may need
- 16:01Speaker 5: to do it a little bit to keep the threat going.
- 16:04Speaker 5: So what does that mean? This was always a 50-50 week.
- 16:07Speaker 5: Now we're leaning towards playing this week. Obviously that's what
- 16:10Speaker 5: the whole world is, is thinking and saying, but it's
- 16:13Speaker 5: not ironclad yet.
- 16:15Speaker 1: When you've dealt with athletes of his caliber and he's
- 16:17Speaker 1: a unique breed, is he calling those shots? Cause it
- 16:22Speaker 1: seems like he's been close the last couple of weeks.
- 16:25Speaker 1: And then last second it's Lamar is inactive. Do you
- 16:29Speaker 1: think Lamar is the one that's making that call?
- 16:32Speaker 5: I'm not in the building, but I can tell your
- 16:35Speaker 5: listeners this. Every single player, including the 53rd guy on
- 16:40Speaker 5: the roster, gets to call the shot, the final shot
- 16:45Speaker 5: of whether he plays or not. Return to play is
- 16:48Speaker 5: always in the NFL a three-headed monster. Whether it's the president, Congress,
- 16:54Speaker 5: the Supreme Court, or the snap, the hold, the kick,
- 16:56Speaker 5: everything has to be a go in order for the
- 17:00Speaker 5: field goal to be good or something to become law
- 17:02Speaker 5: and stay law. And what do I mean by that?
- 17:05Speaker 5: If the doctor says, I think it's safe for you
- 17:07Speaker 5: to play the medical vote. And the team says, we
- 17:11Speaker 5: really need you to play and want you to play.
- 17:13Speaker 5: But the player says, I'm just not right. And I
- 17:16Speaker 5: don't think I can do it. You don't play. Whether
- 17:19Speaker 5: it's the player or the agent telling the player, I
- 17:21Speaker 5: know Lamar doesn't have an agent, but I'm just giving
- 17:23Speaker 5: you an example of anyone. Not singling out Lamar here.
- 17:27Speaker 5: But if Lamar, on the other hand, for Saquon, which
- 17:30Speaker 5: we probably will talk about, wanting to play, wanting to
- 17:32Speaker 5: play through a hamstring, the doctor gave a tepid okay
- 17:35Speaker 5: and Howie Roseman and Nick Sirianni still had to sign
- 17:38Speaker 5: off and say, okay, if they said, no, let's wait
- 17:40Speaker 5: another week, Saquon wouldn't be playing. So every return to
- 17:44Speaker 5: play vote, so to speak, has to be unanimous between
- 17:49Speaker 5: the player, the medical vote, and the team. And any
- 17:54Speaker 5: one of those parties can veto the playing is the
- 17:56Speaker 5: way that I look at it. So yes, Lamar can say, no,
- 17:59Speaker 5: I can't do it. But that can be every other
- 18:03Speaker 5: player in the NFL too. He does not have special
- 18:06Speaker 5: superpowers there. He may have more gravitas there, but he
- 18:09Speaker 5: doesn't have any more power than anyone else.
- 18:12Speaker 2: Can you talk to me about Kyle Hamilton? He left
- 18:14Speaker 2: the game last week against Cincy. Is he someone that
- 18:17Speaker 2: we should be keeping an eye on before the game
- 18:19Speaker 2: this weekend?
- 18:20Speaker 5: I believe he had a stinger and, you know, Kyle
- 18:23Speaker 5: Hamilton's as tough as they come. He gets up in
- 18:25Speaker 5: there and he comes back pretty quickly. The stinger is
- 18:29Speaker 5: pretty quick. That's not been documented. That's just my belief
- 18:32Speaker 5: off of video. So do we worry about Kyle Hamilton?
- 18:35Speaker 5: Let me tell you something. I never worry about Kyle Hamilton.
- 18:38Speaker 5: That guy is a baller and a gamer and he
- 18:40Speaker 5: plays through. And as long as the stinger symptoms go
- 18:42Speaker 5: away quickly, he'll be back again and again and again.
- 18:46Speaker 2: I want to pop through some of these other quarterbacks
- 18:48Speaker 2: as well quickly. What did you see from Baker Mayfield
- 18:50Speaker 2: last week and Tyler Shuck playing in that Paris game?
- 18:53Speaker 2: I know that he was already dealing with an injury
- 18:55Speaker 2: to his throwing hand, but also seemingly injuring the other hand.
- 18:58Speaker 3: Anything to look out for with him?
- 19:00Speaker 5: No real worries on Tyler Shuck. I mean, yeah, he
- 19:03Speaker 5: got hurt in the hand there a little bit, but
- 19:06Speaker 5: they have a bye week anyways, I believe. Am I
- 19:09Speaker 5: correct on that in New Orleans? So with that, I
- 19:12Speaker 5: don't think that is going to be an issue. Baker Mayfield.
- 19:16Speaker 5: Don't worry about Baker Mayfield. I get the narrative. He
- 19:20Speaker 5: only threw the ball 11 times. Here's why you don't
- 19:23Speaker 5: worry about Baker Mayfield. What we talked about, the joint,
- 19:26Speaker 5: it's this joint of the thumb, not the base. So
- 19:28Speaker 5: he is able to grip and rip it. So why
- 19:30Speaker 5: did he only throw the ball 11 times? They were
- 19:33Speaker 5: up 33 to six in the first half. He didn't
- 19:36Speaker 5: need to throw the ball anymore. And why put the
- 19:39Speaker 5: team at risk? Just grind it out. And they were
- 19:42Speaker 5: even racking up points when he wasn't throwing the ball.
- 19:45Speaker 5: So I think that's a statistical anomaly. This is way
- 19:48Speaker 5: different than not gripping. to make it a Saquon conversation.
- 19:52Speaker 5: Saquon got nine touches because he was only in the
- 19:55Speaker 5: game for nine plays. Every time he was in the game,
- 19:58Speaker 5: he got a touch with that hamstring. And I don't
- 20:01Speaker 5: buy for a second that it was hamstring, no issue
- 20:04Speaker 5: and back is the only issue. Nine plays, nine touches.
- 20:08Speaker 5: It's a different situation than Baker Mayfield. He could have.
- 20:11Speaker 5: He just didn't need to throw the ball.
- 20:14Speaker 1: Doc, we did this last week. Let's do it again.
- 20:16Speaker 1: A little red, yellow, green. We're going to play the
- 20:19Speaker 1: stoplight game with these injuries. Let's start with Jalen Waddle.
- 20:23Speaker 1: He's questionable with a chest injury against the Chiefs this week.
- 20:27Speaker 5: I'm going to say yellow. I leaned by looking at
- 20:30Speaker 5: the video itself. He fell on the ball and someone
- 20:34Speaker 5: jumped on him and he hurt his chest. That in
- 20:37Speaker 5: and of itself is an injury that you should be
- 20:40Speaker 5: able to return from the next week. However, this is
- 20:44Speaker 5: an aggravation of a pre-existing injury. So if it were
- 20:48Speaker 5: just the first time, I'd say this is green because
- 20:51Speaker 5: it's the second time there's a little bit of caution
- 20:53Speaker 5: or yellow here.
- 20:55Speaker 1: On the other side. Same position. Rishi Rice dealing with
- 20:59Speaker 1: a hamstring injury. He's been missing time. Red light, yellow light,
- 21:03Speaker 1: green light.
- 21:04Speaker 5: I think this is one of those lights that are
- 21:06Speaker 5: yellow turning red. And do you step on the gas
- 21:09Speaker 5: or do you put the brake on? And you know
- 21:11Speaker 5: what that depends on, at least for me. And I
- 21:12Speaker 5: don't know about you guys. Am I late to pick
- 21:15Speaker 5: up my kids from school? Okay. Then I'm going through
- 21:19Speaker 5: the yellow light. If look, I'm plenty of time. I'm
- 21:22Speaker 5: going to stop at the light. Maybe that's not smart driving,
- 21:24Speaker 5: but but it's apropos to Rasheed Rice and the Chiefs.
- 21:28Speaker 5: What you risk if you play a little too early
- 21:31Speaker 5: on a hamstring is an aggravation, and he's a speedster.
- 21:34Speaker 5: Then you risk multiple... weeks out. What you risk when
- 21:37Speaker 5: you run that red light is getting pulled over and
- 21:40Speaker 5: you're really late for picking up your kids, right? So
- 21:43Speaker 5: it's a risk reward thing. That's what the Chiefs, I
- 21:46Speaker 5: know it's overly simplified, but that's what the Chiefs are
- 21:48Speaker 5: going through now. And with that in play, the Chiefs
- 21:52Speaker 5: are in plenty of time to pick up their kids.
- 21:54Speaker 5: They only have one loss, okay? They want to play
- 21:58Speaker 5: the long game. So I actually think because of that,
- 22:01Speaker 5: it becomes a red light and you stop at the light.
- 22:04Speaker 1: Interesting, because the Broncos look to be getting Patrick Sertan back.
- 22:08Speaker 1: Would he be a green light?
- 22:10Speaker 5: I think Patrick Sertan, this is the day for his
- 22:14Speaker 5: green light, the week that he returns. I do think
- 22:16Speaker 5: he returns. Could Rasheed Rice play? Yes, but this is
- 22:20Speaker 5: one of those things where I say, I think the
- 22:21Speaker 5: team says, well, you could, but let's be smart. We
- 22:24Speaker 5: don't want to have aggravation. That's what it's looking like
- 22:27Speaker 5: to me as of Thursday morning.
- 22:30Speaker 1: Last one for me, Jeremiah Love, where does he land
- 22:32Speaker 1: on the stoplight?
- 22:34Speaker 5: Jeremiah Love is a yellow. He can play. Look, one
- 22:38Speaker 5: thing I think fans don't realize, the game of the
- 22:43Speaker 5: NFL is way different than college. Not only that it's
- 22:47Speaker 5: only the best players playing and it's a higher level
- 22:50Speaker 5: of talent, but the amount of time in the building.
- 22:53Speaker 5: So not only the physical toll, but the mental toll
- 22:56Speaker 5: of it all. Look, you literally in an NFL day,
- 23:01Speaker 5: spend as much or more time than you can spend
- 23:04Speaker 5: on football in a college week, right? The college time
- 23:09Speaker 5: period is very limited that you can be in the
- 23:13Speaker 5: training room or in with doing football activities. Whereas the NFL,
- 23:17Speaker 5: it's morning to night thing. And that adds to the
- 23:20Speaker 5: mental and physical fatigue. And I think Jeremiah Love is
- 23:24Speaker 5: just getting accustomed to that.
- 23:26Speaker 2: Doc, I think I will know you well enough now
- 23:28Speaker 2: to be able to L-bomb you. And something I love
- 23:30Speaker 2: that you do is you kind of grade these units
- 23:34Speaker 2: that you can kind of take advantage of due to
- 23:36Speaker 2: injuries in games. Who are you looking at this week
- 23:39Speaker 2: to be some of the most, you know, injured groups
- 23:41Speaker 2: or position groups this week? For me, I think I'm
- 23:43Speaker 2: looking at maybe the Cardinals defense against the Cowboys.
- 23:46Speaker 3: What are you guys looking at over at Sixth Score?
- 23:48Speaker 5: I'm happy to answer that question, but I don't think
- 23:50Speaker 5: I'm hip enough to know what L-bomb even means.
- 23:52Speaker 3: It means dropping the L. It means saying I love you.
- 23:55Speaker 3: And something I love that you do is that you.
- 23:57Speaker 5: Bring East position girls. I'm not hip to all the slang.
- 23:59Speaker 5: My kids haven't given me that one. So I'm just
- 24:02Speaker 5: being honest there. I'm a, you know. corny dad joke
- 24:06Speaker 5: guy per se. So I had to define what Elbaugh
- 24:09Speaker 5: meant there. We're eight weeks.
- 24:10Speaker 1: Into the season and we're already saying I love you, Chow.
- 24:13Speaker 1: This is a fascinating relationship.
- 24:14Speaker 4: Oh, that's awesome.
- 24:15Speaker 5: I appreciate that. I just did, you know, I mean,
- 24:17Speaker 5: it could go a lot of different ways. I'm, you know,
- 24:19Speaker 5: I'm just making sure what we're talking about here, you know,
- 24:24Speaker 5: at the risk of being ridiculed by the rest of
- 24:26Speaker 5: all of your listeners who clearly knew what that meant. But,
- 24:30Speaker 5: you know, guilty. Call me Dan Orlowski. What does percentage mean?
- 24:34Speaker 3: Oh, my God.
- 24:37Speaker 5: I mean, I'm like, Dan, I admit it. I don't
- 24:39Speaker 5: know what L-bomb meant. I mean, come at me. Anyways, look,
- 24:44Speaker 5: tonight's game, both O-lines are injured, Carolina and Green Bay. OK,
- 24:50Speaker 5: but Green Bay's injuries are newer and less expected with
- 24:55Speaker 5: the right tackle going down a couple of weeks ago.
- 24:57Speaker 5: Both centers guard issue Carolina. Yes, they have a different
- 25:02Speaker 5: left tackle, but they knew he wasn't going to be
- 25:03Speaker 5: there and they signed one. Taylor Mouton went down again
- 25:07Speaker 5: after the blood clots in the lungs and now the
- 25:09Speaker 5: broken ankle. But the first rounder has played OK for
- 25:12Speaker 5: a few games and now he got a game and
- 25:14Speaker 5: a half rest and is coming back for Thursday. Damian
- 25:17Speaker 5: Lewis is probably the only real injury there. So both
- 25:21Speaker 5: O-lines injured for tonight's game, but I think the Packers
- 25:24Speaker 5: are more impacted. And remember, the Packers have no linebackers.
- 25:28Speaker 5: Their top three linebackers, including Micah Parsons, are out. Cooper,
- 25:32Speaker 5: et cetera, and Zaire Franklin, they're all out. So that's
- 25:35Speaker 5: a big one. Of course, the Panthers don't have their DBs.
- 25:39Speaker 5: Other cluster injuries you've talked about, Arizona Cardinals a little bit,
- 25:44Speaker 5: their defense, et cetera. If you go to Sixscore, you'll
- 25:47Speaker 5: see them all, including field views. And for Brandon, a
- 25:51Speaker 5: plethora of red, green, yellow, every offense and against every defense.
- 25:56Speaker 5: Detroit Lions offense against the Bears defense, red, green, and yellow.
- 26:01Speaker 5: Then you flip it with the arrows and it becomes yellow.
- 26:06Speaker 5: Vikings offense against Lions defense. And by the way, the
- 26:10Speaker 5: Lions cluster injuries at secondary are getting better finally.
- 26:15Speaker 1: Well, I do appreciate a good color code. So thank
- 26:18Speaker 1: you for that. You know, it helps my simple mind.

- 26:39Speaker 1: we love you doc thanks for joining us.
- 26:42Speaker 5: L bomb that right back at you i don't know
- 26:44Speaker 5: if that's the correct usage but.
- 26:46Speaker 1: The last time we had this guy on the show
- 26:49Speaker 1: we went undefeated against the spread our special guest picker
- 26:52Speaker 1: this week the one and only john yastrzemski the mayor
- 26:55Speaker 1: of new york city john pressure's.
- 26:57Speaker 8: On You're not kidding, Krabby. Krabby and Kendra, always a pleasure,
- 27:02Speaker 8: number one. Kendra, this is the first time I guess
- 27:05Speaker 8: you're seeing me without a hat. I hope it doesn't
- 27:07Speaker 8: bring negative vibes, negative juju. Guys, what do we have
- 27:11Speaker 8: in store for an encore? 5-0 two weeks ago. You
- 27:14Speaker 8: guys had yet another winning week. I think the moral
- 27:17Speaker 8: of the story is let's keep the good vibes going.
- 27:19Speaker 4: Let's go.
- 27:23Speaker 3: Just pick something already. If you don't like it, you
- 27:26Speaker 3: can just veto it.
- 27:29Speaker 1: Let's dive right into it. The one o'clock games this
- 27:31Speaker 1: week are phenomenal. What the NFL was doing after that
- 27:35Speaker 1: is quite the mystery. We will discuss that as we
- 27:38Speaker 1: go along here, but let's start on Thursday night football
- 27:41Speaker 1: Panthers Packers Packers laying three and a half at home
- 27:45Speaker 1: total at 48 and a half Carolina got embarrassed last
- 27:47Speaker 1: week by the box. The Packers lost a close one
- 27:50Speaker 1: to the lions who is more likely to bounce back here.
- 27:54Speaker 1: Packers two and one against the spread at home this season.
- 27:57Speaker 1: Kendra We have great history on Thursday night. Do we
- 28:02Speaker 1: do it again?
- 28:03Speaker 3: I know we do.
- 28:04Speaker 2: We talked about this last week and it was something
- 28:06Speaker 2: I was thinking about when doing my show notes, but
- 28:10Speaker 2: we had Dr.
- 28:11Speaker 3: Chow on.
- 28:11Speaker 2: He was sitting here talking about how both of these
- 28:13Speaker 2: offensive lines are pretty injured.
- 28:15Speaker 3: My thing here is that.
- 28:18Speaker 2: If this were a home game for Carolina, I think
- 28:21Speaker 2: I would be all over Carolina in this spot. But
- 28:23Speaker 2: I'm worried about them going to Lambeau and being able
- 28:26Speaker 2: to cover this number.
- 28:28Speaker 3: I hated it at the three and a half.
- 28:30Speaker 2: I really am having a hard time with getting to
- 28:33Speaker 2: the window in the contest for a Thursday night pick
- 28:35Speaker 2: because they've served us so well. But I just don't
- 28:38Speaker 2: know if we can do this unless you guys have
- 28:40Speaker 2: a really hot take here.
- 28:41Speaker 4: I don't, Kendra.
- 28:43Speaker 8: Now, for what it's worth, I like Carolina plus the
- 28:46Speaker 8: points in this game.
- 28:48Speaker 4: Uh, two reasons.
- 28:49Speaker 8: One Carolina's kind of been like in every other week
- 28:52Speaker 8: type of team.
- 28:53Speaker 4: They had that vibe last year.
- 28:55Speaker 8: And I think this is a good, like buy low
- 28:58Speaker 8: opportunity on them. If I would've came on with you
- 29:00Speaker 8: guys last week, I would've told you the rat of
- 29:03Speaker 8: the week was Carolina lane three against Tampa Bay. Cause
- 29:06Speaker 8: that line stunk Tampa Bay coming off overtime. Nobody wanted
- 29:10Speaker 8: to back the Buccaneers.
- 29:11Speaker 4: I did. I loved it.
- 29:13Speaker 8: Cause to me, the line told you all you needed
- 29:15Speaker 8: to know about, Uh, so I was all over the box. Now,
- 29:19Speaker 8: nobody wants to take the Panthers. Hey, the Packers got
- 29:21Speaker 8: Josh Jacobs back. Jordan Love has played much better.
- 29:24Speaker 4: Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom. I think we'll have points
- 29:28Speaker 4: in this game. I think three and a half is value.
- 29:31Speaker 8: Cravey, I don't want to include this in the contest,
- 29:34Speaker 8: but if I had to make a play on the game,
- 29:35Speaker 8: I'd be on the Panthers plus the points.
- 29:37Speaker 1: I did bet the Panthers plus the points. So I'm
- 29:40Speaker 1: with you. It's not the hill I'm ready to die on,
- 29:43Speaker 1: even though we have a great history of covering these
- 29:45Speaker 1: Thursday night games. I also really like I went prop.
- 29:48Speaker 1: I went with a prop in this game as well.
- 29:50Speaker 1: Matthew Golden over 58 and a half receiving yards, I
- 29:53Speaker 1: think is a good way to look. He leaves a lot.
- 29:56Speaker 1: of uh he leaves a lot of air yards out
- 29:58Speaker 1: there to be had and carolina's past defense isn't great
- 30:01Speaker 1: so um that's one way i would look to can i.
- 30:04Speaker 2: Say one thing i think that this is smart of
- 30:06Speaker 2: us because what worked for us on our five and
- 30:08Speaker 2: oh was us having consensus.
- 30:11Speaker 1: Yeah we had i believe that was that the week
- 30:13Speaker 1: we had we had no vetoes no.
- 30:15Speaker 8: Vetoes consensus i like it okay so we'll try to
- 30:18Speaker 8: find as much unity as we can we'll.
- 30:20Speaker 1: Try okay the We will. Well, I'm very curious to
- 30:22Speaker 1: see where we land on this next one. A reminder
- 30:24Speaker 1: for those out there. We try and land what we
- 30:26Speaker 1: will land on five contest plays. Kendra and I will
- 30:29Speaker 1: each nominate two picks. We all have vetoes that we
- 30:32Speaker 1: can use. And one of the five will be John
- 30:35Speaker 1: Yastrzemski special that we can't throw out of the contest.
- 30:39Speaker 1: So pressure's on you, John, to deliver with that one.
- 30:42Speaker 1: Ravens bills.
- 30:44Speaker 4: One o'clock.
- 30:45Speaker 1: How in the world? Did this game get buried at
- 30:49Speaker 1: 1 PM? Lamar's went out.
- 30:52Speaker 4: It's crazy.
- 30:52Speaker 1: The schedule makers were drunk when they put this one
- 30:55Speaker 1: together this week. And this is debatably not even the
- 30:58Speaker 1: best game on the card, which is crazy. But does
- 31:01Speaker 1: Lamar return here? It looks like he's going to the
- 31:03Speaker 1: bills are off of a buy Kendra. Who do we
- 31:05Speaker 1: like in this heavyweight matchup bills minus three and a half.
- 31:08Speaker 2: It's got to be the Bills at home. The Ravens
- 31:10Speaker 2: are so banged up. They're coming off of a bye.
- 31:13Speaker 2: I just it's really hard for me to get behind
- 31:16Speaker 2: a Ravens team.
- 31:17Speaker 3: Who got out to a hot start last week.
- 31:19Speaker 2: And then if I'm not mistaken, had like 25 unanswered
- 31:21Speaker 2: in the second half.
- 31:22Speaker 3: You just can't do that in the NFL.
- 31:25Speaker 2: I'm just this Ravens team has not shown me enough
- 31:27Speaker 2: as of late to be able to back them. And
- 31:29Speaker 2: who even knows if Lamar is going to be 100%.
- 31:32Speaker 2: I think that that's the biggest thing to talk about here.
- 31:34Speaker 4: Dr.
- 31:35Speaker 2: Chow last week said that this would be you know,
- 31:36Speaker 2: the week he would evaluate Lamar to be 5050. I
- 31:38Speaker 2: also don't know how to take. his kind of feedback
- 31:45Speaker 2: on his injury, because he's a guy we see sit
- 31:47Speaker 2: out at least a game or two every single season.
- 31:49Speaker 3: He can't stay healthy.
- 31:50Speaker 2: So do we think that it's, you know, the team
- 31:53Speaker 2: trainers and doctors holding him back? Or do we think
- 31:55Speaker 2: it's himself? I really, at this point in his career,
- 31:58Speaker 2: do not know how to evaluate Lamar Jackson as a
- 32:01Speaker 2: guy on a 50-50 type of.
- 32:03Speaker 3: Will he will, will he not?
- 32:05Speaker 2: And I love Lamar and I do think that he's
- 32:08Speaker 2: going to play this weekend. But what does that version
- 32:11Speaker 2: of him look like against a Bills team that is,
- 32:14Speaker 2: you know, hungry?
- 32:15Speaker 8: Tough game because you have no idea what you're getting
- 32:19Speaker 8: with Jackson if he plays.
- 32:22Speaker 4: How many of these weeks came on a couple of
- 32:24Speaker 4: weeks ago?
- 32:24Speaker 8: We were talking about the Raven Brown game and like
- 32:27Speaker 8: this uncertainty of will he or won't he? Two weeks later,
- 32:32Speaker 8: we're having the exact same conversation. Now, can we can
- 32:36Speaker 8: we pretend to live in a world where Lamar Jackson
- 32:38Speaker 8: plays on Sunday?
- 32:38Speaker 4: Let's just we'll do that for a second.
- 32:41Speaker 8: If you can tell me Lamar is playing Sunday, I
- 32:43Speaker 8: like Baltimore because the main reason is I don't trust
- 32:47Speaker 8: Buffalo's defense at all. I don't like there's nothing about
- 32:52Speaker 8: the Bills defense that has wowed me in any way.
- 32:55Speaker 4: I like the idea.
- 32:57Speaker 8: Of getting Baltimore off a couple of losses. Like, I
- 33:01Speaker 8: find that to be appealing. But I also don't want
- 33:04Speaker 8: to include this in the contest plays. Have three or
- 33:07Speaker 8: three and a half, and then we get the Schefter
- 33:09Speaker 8: tweet on Saturday that we're stuck with Snoop Hundley when
- 33:14Speaker 8: this line won't be three, three and a half if
- 33:15Speaker 8: it's Snoop Hundley.
- 33:16Speaker 4: It's going to be six, six and a half.
- 33:18Speaker 1: It's not going to be Snoop.
- 33:19Speaker 8: You've been saying this the last few weeks, and then
- 33:22Speaker 8: all of a sudden he gets rolled out there.
- 33:24Speaker 2: What if he poops himself again?
- 33:27Speaker 1: Lamar Jackson's not missing this game, guys. Come on. Let's
- 33:30Speaker 1: handle this with some composure, okay? I'm just going to
- 33:33Speaker 1: go ahead and make one of you use your veto.
- 33:35Speaker 1: I'm going to nominate the Ravens. I am worried about
- 33:38Speaker 1: their defense.
- 33:38Speaker 8: I'm not going to fight you on it because I
- 33:40Speaker 8: actually agree if Lamar plays.
- 33:43Speaker 1: And I think this line is sort of three.
- 33:46Speaker 8: If I see a Snoop Honwe tweet on Saturday, you're
- 33:50Speaker 8: going to be hearing from me as I'm trick-or-treating.
- 33:53Speaker 4: You're going to hear it.
- 33:54Speaker 1: They've got no chance of covering. They have no chance
- 33:58Speaker 1: of covering if it's Snoop, but I'm very confident that
- 34:02Speaker 1: our doc told us that he's playing.
- 34:05Speaker 2: Dr.
- 34:05Speaker 1: Chow hasn't been wrong about Lamar yet.
- 34:07Speaker 5: Dr.
- 34:07Speaker 4: Chow we trust. I love it.
- 34:10Speaker 3: This line is closing short of three.
- 34:12Speaker 4: Wow, Kendra, get it out of the way.
- 34:15Speaker 1: Get out of the way because I got more garbage ahead.
- 34:17Speaker 1: This was the lovely line. The lovely line.
- 34:20Speaker 2: I think our garbage might be the same garbage, which
- 34:24Speaker 2: is why I'm doing this, because there are so many
- 34:27Speaker 2: other things that I hate. And sorry, this is the
- 34:30Speaker 2: one thing that I hate. And there are so many
- 34:31Speaker 2: other things that I love. So I think that this
- 34:33Speaker 2: just let's let's pack it up and move on.
- 34:36Speaker 1: OK, I was all right. I was excited about getting
- 34:39Speaker 1: that one in there. What about this? I think this
- 34:41Speaker 1: will be brief analysis, but it could end up in
- 34:44Speaker 1: the contest because it's kind of a freebie. The Colts.
- 34:47Speaker 3: You said that last time. Don't say that.
- 34:50Speaker 1: Okay, but this is really a freebie. Colts at Jags.
- 34:54Speaker 1: Jags are now up to minus 10. The contest line
- 34:59Speaker 1: is seven and a half. And you may have heard
- 35:01Speaker 1: this by now, but the Colts don't win in Jacksonville.
- 35:04Speaker 1: They haven't won in Jacksonville since 2014. And, and these
- 35:08Speaker 1: games have not been close. Oh, and by the way,
- 35:11Speaker 1: Indianapolis has gone through a fire sale and who knows
- 35:14Speaker 1: if they even play Jonathan Taylor this weekend, if they're
- 35:18Speaker 1: going to trade him, why would they put him on
- 35:20Speaker 1: the field? They just traded away his best offensive lineman.
- 35:23Speaker 1: If I'm Jonathan Taylor, I'm saying, get me the hell
- 35:26Speaker 1: off of this field. Is it too late to back
- 35:29Speaker 1: the Jaguars here? I think they need to be in.
- 35:32Speaker 2: I think the Jaguars at 7.5 in contest should be
- 35:35Speaker 2: in here. I do worry about the little bit of
- 35:38Speaker 2: the get-up that the Colts could get from the fire sale.
- 35:41Speaker 2: They're doubting us. They just fired our GM bit. But
- 35:45Speaker 2: the thing is that people aren't considering, one, Jacksonville coming
- 35:48Speaker 2: off of a bye. Two, how Jacksonville scores at home. Three,
- 35:52Speaker 2: do you know what the Jacksonville.
- 35:54Speaker 3: Jaguars are wearing this Sunday, Kravitz?
- 35:57Speaker 4: Are they wearing the throwbacks, Kendra?
- 35:58Speaker 1: No, they're wearing their alternates.
- 36:00Speaker 2: They are wearing the rivalry uniforms that launched at the
- 36:03Speaker 2: beginning of the season.
- 36:06Speaker 4: Are these the ones with the Lululemon pants? Yep. That
- 36:11Speaker 4: makes me feel worse about the Jaguars.
- 36:13Speaker 1: They're dropping 40 in the Lulu's. Come on, John.
- 36:16Speaker 4: I mean, I love these two Lululemon pants, but come on, man.
- 36:20Speaker 1: Come on.
- 36:20Speaker 4: The Jags throwbacks are the way to go. Listen, seven
- 36:23Speaker 4: and a half, Kendra. Come on. I'm in.
- 36:25Speaker 8: We all got to be in on this. It's a
- 36:27Speaker 8: discounted line. The history crabby detailed it. Indianapolis never wins
- 36:32Speaker 8: in Jacksonville. And, dude, the Colts said goodbye to Buckner.
- 36:36Speaker 8: They said goodbye to Nelson. Uncertainty with Taylor. Is Tyler
- 36:41Speaker 8: Warren even going to play?
- 36:43Speaker 4: Come on.
- 36:43Speaker 8: Is Daniel Jones going to get benched? Seven and a half,
- 36:46Speaker 8: sign me up. I don't care if it's square. Sometimes,
- 36:48Speaker 8: as you Lewis once said, it's hip to be square.
- 36:51Speaker 8: And this one it is.
- 36:52Speaker 4: Jaguar, let's go.
- 36:53Speaker 3: Dropping 40 in the Lulus.
- 36:56Speaker 1: Dropping 40 in the Lulus. I'm already predicting that David
- 37:00Speaker 1: Payne is naming the podcast that this week.
- 37:02Speaker 3: Yep.
- 37:03Speaker 1: Let's go to the Bengals and the Titans. More uncertainty
- 37:06Speaker 1: because the Titans have kind of... Waved the white flag here.
- 37:10Speaker 1: They've traded away their best player in Jeffrey Simmons. The
- 37:14Speaker 1: Bengals are 10 and a half point favorites. Actually, let
- 37:17Speaker 1: me double check what that current line is because when
- 37:20Speaker 1: you trade Jeffrey Simmons, it's going to move a line
- 37:22Speaker 1: and it did 11 and a half. It's 10 and
- 37:24Speaker 1: a half in contest. I don't think we're messing with
- 37:26Speaker 1: this one. Joe Burrow, not great when he's trying to
- 37:31Speaker 1: cover big numbers as a double digit favorite. Um, let
- 37:35Speaker 1: me see. Joe burrow is closed above one, uh, one
- 37:37Speaker 1: possession favorite. So that's eight and a half or more,
- 37:40Speaker 1: just four times as a starter. He's one in three
- 37:42Speaker 1: against the spread. This is a weird game. I'm okay.
- 37:45Speaker 1: If we kind of just leave this one alone.
- 37:47Speaker 4: Thoughts.
- 37:48Speaker 2: I'm also okay to leave this one alone, just because
- 37:50Speaker 2: I think that this could be our peg of the week.
- 37:54Speaker 1: Yeah. That's the backdoor cover by the way, John. That's
- 37:56Speaker 1: our other guest analyst. Emerson is, I love the terminology. Interesting.
- 38:01Speaker 1: And he's an interesting individual.
- 38:03Speaker 4: I love the terminology. I get it. I don't think
- 38:06Speaker 4: Ken Ward's getting there. I'm not nominating this.
- 38:09Speaker 5: No.
- 38:09Speaker 8: This is like ATS life on the line. You have
- 38:11Speaker 8: to make a pick. I'm not taking the Titans.
- 38:14Speaker 4: No chance. Bengals are pass.
- 38:17Speaker 1: See, this is where.
- 38:18Speaker 8: I'll be aware of the peg now when I'm watching
- 38:21Speaker 8: this game. When it's Bengal up by 18, what, like
- 38:23Speaker 8: three and a half minutes?
- 38:25Speaker 3: You're going to be like, oh my God, Peg.
- 38:28Speaker 1: They just slide right in through the back door. It's
- 38:30Speaker 1: a bad matchup for the Titans. There's no way you
- 38:32Speaker 1: could look up any matchup data that would point in
- 38:36Speaker 1: the direction of Tennessee. If you bet the Titans, you
- 38:39Speaker 1: are betting on NFL betting voodoo, which does happen. Very
- 38:44Speaker 1: profitable strategy to just bet the NFL voodoo. But that's
- 38:48Speaker 1: the only reason that you can get to the window
- 38:49Speaker 1: on Tennessee. We'll leave it alone. What about this next one?
- 38:52Speaker 1: I got the shirt on. Lions. This shirt has done
- 38:55Speaker 1: me quite well. It's a profitable t-shirt, even though it
- 38:59Speaker 1: ran me $ 40 Vikings, lions, lions, minus three and a half.
- 39:05Speaker 1: This is debatably the game of the day. Another one
- 39:09Speaker 1: o'clock window. Again, what are we doing? NFL Vikings, top
- 39:12Speaker 1: flight defense, undefeated on the road, toughest test for them offensively.
- 39:17Speaker 1: This should be an obvious Vikings fade, but I'm struggling here. Kendra,
- 39:24Speaker 1: why am I struggling?
- 39:26Speaker 3: I love the lions here.
- 39:28Speaker 2: I think that this is a lion's The Vikings are
- 39:31Speaker 2: not a 7-0 team. Let's be real about it. Their
- 39:34Speaker 2: defense has saved their ass week in and week out.
- 39:38Speaker 2: And the thing here for me, the reason I love
- 39:39Speaker 2: the Lions is, okay, let's take that defense, the Lions
- 39:43Speaker 2: offense and the Vikings defense. Let's cancel those two out.
- 39:46Speaker 2: We know that the Lions are going to be able
- 39:47Speaker 2: to score against anybody. The Vikings might slow them down
- 39:50Speaker 2: for a minute, but But what gives you any sort
- 39:53Speaker 2: of faith that this Vikings offense can score enough points
- 39:57Speaker 2: against a Lions defense that is getting healthier by the week?
- 40:00Speaker 4: Guys, it's nomination time.
- 40:03Speaker 3: Lions!
- 40:04Speaker 8: Lions laying three and a half against the Vikings. Revenge spot.
- 40:10Speaker 8: Remember last year, right around the holiday season, Vikings knocked
- 40:13Speaker 8: them out of the playoffs. There's a narrative that's being
- 40:16Speaker 8: thrown out there a lot that I got to push
- 40:18Speaker 8: back on. And it's this whole narrative of Jared Goff
- 40:22Speaker 8: against the Blitz. And listen, Brian Flores last year and
- 40:25Speaker 8: his defense made Jared Goff look rather silly. The Lions
- 40:29Speaker 8: were also starting to get decimated by injuries at this
- 40:32Speaker 8: point in the year. I know the Lions have had
- 40:34Speaker 8: Campbell do some wacky stuff. I know that could be
- 40:38Speaker 8: a part of the calculus.
- 40:39Speaker 4: I know their defense is not great.
- 40:41Speaker 8: And at a 10-point lead, you could be staring a
- 40:44Speaker 8: peg right in the face.
- 40:45Speaker 4: Look at me working it in. I'm already learning. See, guys,
- 40:47Speaker 4: I'm catching on.
- 40:49Speaker 8: I just think this is from like a situational spot.
- 40:54Speaker 4: The time the Vikings get, you know, they come to
- 40:57Speaker 4: Jesus moment.
- 40:58Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 40:58Speaker 8: Like the Vikings getting three and a half as an
- 41:03Speaker 8: undefeated team line kind of tells me all I need
- 41:06Speaker 8: to know here.
- 41:06Speaker 4: I think the lines will do enough offensively.
- 41:09Speaker 8: I don't think Kyler takes advantage of that lion porous
- 41:12Speaker 8: defense home team lines on a fast track.
- 41:15Speaker 4: I'm laying three and a half. I think they get
- 41:16Speaker 4: it done. And the Vikings lose their first game of
- 41:18Speaker 4: the year.
- 41:19Speaker 3: Period. Don't do it, Kravitz. You're in the fucking light.
- 41:23Speaker 3: You're in the lion's shirt.
- 41:25Speaker 2: You cannot use a veto in a fucking lion's t-shirt.
- 41:30Speaker 1: I knew I was going to get yelled at today.
- 41:32Speaker 1: I knew I was going to get yelled at today.
- 41:34Speaker 4: You can. By the way, why do you have a
- 41:36Speaker 4: lion's t-shirt?
- 41:38Speaker 3: Oh my God. We don't have time for this.
- 41:39Speaker 1: All right, good.
- 41:40Speaker 5: Then.
- 41:40Speaker 1: Tell me, this is not complicated. I'm just starting to
- 41:43Speaker 1: pick up NFL shirts around town.
- 41:45Speaker 3: Okay.
- 41:47Speaker 4: Whoa. That's all.
- 41:50Speaker 1: Yeah. Make me look like a referee. That'd be great. Okay.
- 41:53Speaker 1: Before we move on from this game, cause I, I
- 41:56Speaker 1: respect you too enough to not use it here. I
- 42:00Speaker 1: just think that it should be used. So I just
- 42:03Speaker 1: know that, um, I'm having a really tough time with
- 42:07Speaker 1: this game because I agree that in theory, the Vikings
- 42:11Speaker 1: are fraudulent, undefeated team. We're also not asking them to
- 42:16Speaker 1: win the game here. This is a three and a
- 42:18Speaker 1: half point spread in division.
- 42:19Speaker 8: So you're concerned about another three point game like we
- 42:22Speaker 8: had with the Packers last week.
- 42:24Speaker 1: I was, I mean, I was on the Lions last
- 42:26Speaker 1: week and I had the three, so I pushed, but still,
- 42:29Speaker 1: I mean, this stuff happens all the time in division.
- 42:33Speaker 1: These are two really good teams. The Vikings defense is
- 42:36Speaker 1: not just carrying them. Their defense over the last 20 years,
- 42:40Speaker 1: there's this line of demarcation when the NFL made all
- 42:43Speaker 1: these offensive friendly decisions with the officiating. There was about
- 42:48Speaker 1: 2007 when it became a real pass happy league based
- 42:52Speaker 1: on the rules. Over those 20 years, the Vikings have
- 42:56Speaker 1: one of the top three defensive best defenses that has
- 43:01Speaker 1: existed that's how good they are this isn't fluky this
- 43:05Speaker 1: defense is that good and they are 10 percentage points
- 43:08Speaker 1: better against quarterbacks than the second best defense in the
- 43:13Speaker 1: league this year I'm worried that they're going to make
- 43:16Speaker 1: Jared Goff look really really pedestrian and I don't like
- 43:20Speaker 1: Jared Goff when he's uncomfortable I don't like my money
- 43:23Speaker 1: being there that's my concern Kendra.
- 43:24Speaker 2: Your thoughts Okay, since I am a schedule merchant, let
- 43:29Speaker 2: me talk you through their wins and how many points
- 43:31Speaker 2: they scored. They played Green Bay Week 1. They won 39-22.
- 43:35Speaker 2: If you want to use that against me, fine. Since then,
- 43:38Speaker 2: they have not scored more than 23 points in a
- 43:41Speaker 2: single game. They've played Chicago, which is that fluky 9-3 score.
- 43:45Speaker 2: They played Tampa Bay, Miami, New Orleans, and Indianapolis. And
- 43:50Speaker 2: they have not scored more than 23 points, Kravitz.
- 43:54Speaker 5: Yeah. Yeah.
- 43:56Speaker 1: Their offense is bad, but their defense can drag anybody
- 44:00Speaker 1: into the mud. And I don't want this Lions team
- 44:03Speaker 1: off schedule. That's where I don't. I know I was
- 44:07Speaker 1: looking at the Jared Goff against the Blitz numbers. There's
- 44:10Speaker 1: nobody better in the NFL right now. But here's the
- 44:12Speaker 1: thing with the Vikings. And this is what makes Brian
- 44:14Speaker 1: Flores so great is as Blitz happy as he is.
- 44:19Speaker 1: Right when you start to expect it, he'll drop everybody
- 44:22Speaker 1: back into coverage.
- 44:23Speaker 4: And that's why Gibbs is huge in this game, though, Kravik.
- 44:26Speaker 5: Yes.
- 44:26Speaker 8: This has got to be a monster, monster game for Gibbs.
- 44:30Speaker 4: And he's more incapable. You know what I mean?
- 44:32Speaker 8: Like, he's more incapable of having that, like, 153-touchdown.
- 44:36Speaker 4: Type of game.
- 44:37Speaker 3: I think that's why he didn't practice.
- 44:38Speaker 4: But, like, man, a lot of Gibbs. A lot of Gibbs.
- 44:41Speaker 4: A lot of Gibbs. I think we get it.
- 44:43Speaker 1: And the Lions defense. Also, you mentioned the Vikings offense
- 44:46Speaker 1: struggling to score points. Well, the Lions defense, worst defense
- 44:49Speaker 1: against the pass in the NFL, 32nd in the league.
- 44:52Speaker 3: But Kyler can't throw.
- 44:54Speaker 4: He won't take advantage. Totally agree.
- 44:57Speaker 5: All right.
- 44:58Speaker 1: We'll throw begrudgingly.
- 45:01Speaker 3: You can't do it in the Lions. You cannot veto
- 45:03Speaker 3: the Lions in the Lions t-shirt.
- 45:06Speaker 1: That just seems sacrilege Brown Steelers Steelers minus three and
- 45:10Speaker 1: a half. This is a big one for Cleveland with
- 45:12Speaker 1: a win. As Evan mentioned earlier, they will go over
- 45:14Speaker 1: their win total for consecutive seasons for the first time
- 45:18Speaker 1: since 2001 and 2002. How do we not take the
- 45:21Speaker 1: Browns here? Plus three and a half in division. I
- 45:23Speaker 1: don't know how we're still getting the hook on this Kendra.
- 45:26Speaker 2: I'm not in love with the Browns this week, but
- 45:29Speaker 2: I'm not in love with the Steelers either.
- 45:30Speaker 3: I will not fight you on the Browns.
- 45:33Speaker 2: I've been a truther of theirs since the beginning of
- 45:36Speaker 2: the season. I think it's more of a bad spot
- 45:37Speaker 2: for the Steelers. Don't love that it's on the road
- 45:40Speaker 2: for them. I wish we're at the dog pound, but
- 45:42Speaker 2: I'm not going to fight you on it.
- 45:44Speaker 8: See, I lean Pittsburgh, but I'm kind of in the
- 45:47Speaker 8: same boat, Kendra, because of the travel coming back from Paris.
- 45:50Speaker 8: Here's what I'm fearful of with the Browns. Browns have
- 45:53Speaker 8: had a couple of big wins here. They got Pittsburgh
- 45:57Speaker 8: earlier in the year on a Thursday night. Big swing
- 46:00Speaker 8: revenge spot for the Steelers. If there's a time to
- 46:04Speaker 8: counteract the travel disadvantage, it's like the revenge angle. And
- 46:10Speaker 8: it's like the idea of, hey, is Cleveland going to
- 46:12Speaker 8: go and beat Pittsburgh twice this year? My answer to
- 46:15Speaker 8: that question would probably be no. I know you're getting
- 46:19Speaker 8: north of three, so crappy division game. You're going to
- 46:22Speaker 8: make the point, hey, Steelers could win 20-17. You go
- 46:25Speaker 8: and cover the number with Cleveland.
- 46:27Speaker 4: All true. I just don't feel.
- 46:29Speaker 8: Great about the Cleveland offense being able to exploit Pittsburgh's
- 46:33Speaker 8: defense enough.
- 46:34Speaker 4: To go and get you that home.
- 46:35Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
- 46:36Speaker 4: Like, but.
- 46:38Speaker 8: Like the lion defense, I get your point on a
- 46:40Speaker 8: backdoor cover where it's like, Hey, yes. Like you can
- 46:43Speaker 8: live in a world where the lion defense stinks. It's
- 46:44Speaker 8: one of the worst in the league. They go and
- 46:46Speaker 8: give up this or end at a touchdown. You don't
- 46:47Speaker 8: cover the number. Is the Sean Watson and the Browns
- 46:50Speaker 8: going to do that? It's a pass for me.
- 46:52Speaker 4: Tough game. I lean towards Pittsburgh.
- 46:56Speaker 1: One of the things that I do in my NFL
- 47:00Speaker 1: betting or any betting that I do is I like
- 47:02Speaker 1: to bet early. And I like to bet early when
- 47:05Speaker 1: I am confident that the line is going to drastically
- 47:07Speaker 1: move in my direction, or at least move around key
- 47:10Speaker 1: numbers in my direction. So I had the Jags minus
- 47:12Speaker 1: seven and a half at the very beginning of the
- 47:14Speaker 1: week that has moved favorably towards me. The next bet
- 47:17Speaker 1: I made this week was the Browns plus three and
- 47:19Speaker 1: a half. Cause I thought no way does this hook
- 47:23Speaker 1: remain for the week. And that's huge in a divisional game.
- 47:26Speaker 1: If that hook goes away for everyone else and you
- 47:28Speaker 1: have it, that's massively valuable in the betting world. And
- 47:31Speaker 1: it's not going away. And I'm spooked by it. So
- 47:34Speaker 1: I do think the Browns are the right side to
- 47:36Speaker 1: be on. But I find it very peculiar in reading
- 47:39Speaker 1: the market movement that the three and a half is
- 47:41Speaker 1: just hanging around for people to bet it all week.
- 47:44Speaker 1: I'm a little spooked by that. So this is not
- 47:45Speaker 1: my favorite play of the week anymore.
- 47:48Speaker 4: Okay. We need some favorites here, guys. Right now, I
- 47:50Speaker 4: feel like there's a lot of passion. I've got a favorite.
- 47:54Speaker 4: I've got a favorite. All right.
- 47:55Speaker 8: I wonder.
- 47:56Speaker 4: Right now, we have the Kitty Cats. We have the Jaguars.
- 47:58Speaker 4: And we have the Lions.
- 47:59Speaker 7: Cat Wolf.
- 48:01Speaker 1: I almost want to throw the Panthers in there just
- 48:03Speaker 1: for the theme of it.
- 48:04Speaker 3: And the Bengals. Sad cat parlay.
- 48:08Speaker 1: Aaron Glenn, who wants to bet on him? They are
- 48:13Speaker 1: hosting the Raiders after the Raiders got blown out by
- 48:17Speaker 1: the Rams last week. Real crash down to earth for
- 48:20Speaker 1: Las Vegas. They've lost four in a row, but the
- 48:23Speaker 1: Jets just lost to the Miami Dolphins, who are the
- 48:26Speaker 1: worst team in the NFL. The last four weeks, both
- 48:29Speaker 1: of these teams combined. One in seven straight up. This
- 48:33Speaker 1: is a buy low. The question is, Kendra, who are
- 48:37Speaker 1: we buying low on?
- 48:38Speaker 3: I feel like it has to be the Raiders.
- 48:40Speaker 2: Can I just say that I feel like the Jets
- 48:42Speaker 2: have played the entire season at home? Like, I know
- 48:45Speaker 2: that that's not true, but I feel like every single
- 48:48Speaker 2: week they've been playing at MetLife. The concerning part for
- 48:51Speaker 2: me here is that if I'm looking strictly at who's
- 48:55Speaker 2: a better team, it's obviously going to be the Raiders.
- 48:57Speaker 2: But when you bring this week's injuries into it, the
- 49:01Speaker 2: Jets have some big names on their injury report. And
- 49:04Speaker 2: that does not excite me in the slightest. This feels
- 49:07Speaker 2: like an I showed you my trash type of game.
- 49:10Speaker 2: And if I'm going to choose a side, it's going
- 49:12Speaker 2: to be the Raiders. But I know that you're probably
- 49:14Speaker 2: going to say the Jets and I am disgusted by it.
- 49:17Speaker 4: Well, you're about to be disgusted, Ms.
- 49:19Speaker 1: Kendra.
- 49:20Speaker 4: I like the Jets this week.
- 49:22Speaker 8: And I love Miami a week ago.
- 49:24Speaker 4: I like the Jets this week. Being here in New York,
- 49:28Speaker 4: now the narrative is being written.
- 49:29Speaker 8: And rightfully so. Aaron Glenn's the worst coach in the league.
- 49:32Speaker 8: He's going to get fired at the end of the year.
- 49:34Speaker 8: They're going to trade off guys at the deadline. So
- 49:37Speaker 8: when that stuff starts to percolate, You just know, okay,
- 49:42Speaker 8: here comes the other shoe. The Jets will go and
- 49:45Speaker 8: win this game and give their fans some semblance of
- 49:48Speaker 8: false hope. And look, Jets are going to get smoked
- 49:51Speaker 8: when they play Kansas City in a couple weeks. They
- 49:54Speaker 8: play Buffalo twice. Their season is over. They're not going
- 49:57Speaker 8: to be in the mix at all come December. But
- 49:59Speaker 8: I feel like this Raider team is kind of reaching
- 50:03Speaker 8: the point of no return with Cousins, who got off
- 50:05Speaker 8: to a nice start. Now he's starting to look like
- 50:08Speaker 8: the Kirk Cousins we've seen with the Atlanta Falcons, a
- 50:12Speaker 8: guy who looks clearly past his prime. I wondered if
- 50:15Speaker 8: the Raiders would make the move to Mendoza in this
- 50:19Speaker 8: spot because it's a favorable spot.
- 50:21Speaker 4: They decide not to.
- 50:24Speaker 8: Bowers against his Jet defense scares the crap out of
- 50:26Speaker 8: me because I don't think the Jets can guard him,
- 50:28Speaker 8: and I think he's going to go off. Player props
- 50:30Speaker 8: be all over Brock Bowers for what it's worth. But
- 50:33Speaker 8: in a Geno Smith revenge game, And in Aaron Glenn
- 50:37Speaker 8: last stand game, it's the fucking Jets.
- 50:42Speaker 4: Yes.
- 50:44Speaker 1: That whole time, I was betting the Jets on my
- 50:47Speaker 1: phone because I have been waiting all week to place
- 50:51Speaker 1: this wager, but I knew that this is one I
- 50:54Speaker 1: had to save to get the endorsement from the man himself,
- 51:00Speaker 1: John Yastrzemski. He's in the backyard over there.
- 51:03Speaker 4: I needed to know.
- 51:04Speaker 1: If there's something I'm missing and he's all over it.
- 51:08Speaker 1: So I bet it as you were talking. Beautiful. Love
- 51:11Speaker 1: this so much. This is so disgusting that I love it.
- 51:16Speaker 1: Are you not like that drunk? This is like that
- 51:19Speaker 1: nasty drunk burger you find on a park bench. When
- 51:24Speaker 1: you're wasted and you're like, you know what? Fuck it.
- 51:27Speaker 4: I'm going to eat it.
- 51:28Speaker 3: No, this is savage.
- 51:30Speaker 2: This has happened to me and I know exactly what
- 51:32Speaker 2: this is instead. One time, actually three Halloweens ago, I
- 51:36Speaker 2: drunk ordered Taco Bell to my house and fell asleep
- 51:39Speaker 2: before it got there. And I woke up the next
- 51:41Speaker 2: morning and it was still on my steps and it
- 51:42Speaker 2: was cold enough outside for me to eat it hungover.
- 51:45Speaker 3: So I did. I don't want anything to do with
- 51:47Speaker 3: this though.
- 51:47Speaker 4: Come on, nominate Krabby.
- 51:50Speaker 1: Do it. I'm with him. Give me Gino Smith revenge game.
- 51:55Speaker 2: Yes.
- 51:55Speaker 1: The jets lost to the dolphins last week, but if
- 51:57Speaker 1: you look at the advanced box scores from last week,
- 52:01Speaker 1: they're one of the only teams that lost that should
- 52:04Speaker 1: have won the game comfortably. They had more yards, more
- 52:06Speaker 1: yards per play, more explosive plays, higher success rate. According
- 52:10Speaker 1: to Nick Giffen's deserved win graph, it was the least
- 52:14Speaker 1: deserving loss of the weekend. So it was terrible. Aaron
- 52:17Speaker 1: Glenn's a bad coach, but This Raiders team now a
- 52:21Speaker 1: second week in a row where they're out East, they've
- 52:23Speaker 1: really struggled and the trend Raiders covering at a rate
- 52:28Speaker 1: of 30% out East over the last 10 years. This
- 52:33Speaker 1: is just not something they do. I think the, in
- 52:36Speaker 1: a buy low, you want to get the lower stock.
- 52:39Speaker 1: It's the jets. Are you using your veto Kendra or
- 52:42Speaker 1: can we add it and move on?
- 52:43Speaker 2: I already used my veto, so I can't do anything here. However,
- 52:47Speaker 2: I did forget to give out my favorite play of
- 52:50Speaker 2: the week when we were talking about the Browns. Casey
- 52:53Speaker 2: Concepcion for an anytime touchdown. He carried them last week
- 52:57Speaker 2: and did not find the end zone. And you can
- 52:59Speaker 2: tell by all of his media that he did this
- 53:02Speaker 2: week that he is hungry and ready to get out there.
- 53:04Speaker 2: I think he gets in the end zone this week.
- 53:06Speaker 2: I think they pay it forward for him putting the
- 53:08Speaker 2: team on his back last week. Anytime touchdown in that game,
- 53:11Speaker 2: I don't have a veto to use, so I am
- 53:13Speaker 2: stuck in Taco Bell leftover hell.
- 53:15Speaker 8: I just bet that, by the way, Concepcion plus 350.
- 53:18Speaker 4: Let's go.
- 53:19Speaker 1: That's nice. And thanks for staying honest on the veto.
- 53:22Speaker 1: I already forgot. Cardinals, Cowboys. Cowboys minus seven. Dallas is
- 53:28Speaker 1: fresh off of a primetime win against Philadelphia, but are
- 53:32Speaker 1: they officially back on track? The Cardinals have lost five
- 53:36Speaker 1: of the last six. Coming into this one, John, we'll
- 53:39Speaker 1: start with you. What do you think about this game? Okay.
- 53:42Speaker 4: Cowboys are going to win, but that defense stinks. A
- 53:48Speaker 4: lot of points.
- 53:49Speaker 8: The Cardinals are a team weirdly better on the road.
- 53:54Speaker 8: They've been awful at home all year. They won at
- 53:57Speaker 8: Los Angeles both times, beat the Rams, beat the Chargers.
- 54:03Speaker 8: I'd really like seven. I don't trust the Cowboys to.
- 54:06Speaker 4: Go and blow them out.
- 54:07Speaker 8: I know this should be a spot where if Dallas
- 54:10Speaker 8: is about to make their move, they go and drop
- 54:12Speaker 8: 40 on them and they flex all over them and
- 54:15Speaker 8: you start building the narrative that the Cowboys are figuring
- 54:18Speaker 8: it out in 2026. I kind of need to see
- 54:21Speaker 8: that to believe it. I think it's entirely too many points.
- 54:24Speaker 8: I think Arizona's spunky.
- 54:26Speaker 4: I would take them.
- 54:27Speaker 2: I have one more nomination that I like better than this,
- 54:30Speaker 2: but I do like the Cowboys being six and a
- 54:32Speaker 2: half in contest and not another number just because I
- 54:36Speaker 2: think they win this game by exactly a touchdown because
- 54:40Speaker 2: of how decimated.
- 54:42Speaker 3: The Cardinals are at their defense.
- 54:44Speaker 2: Pretty much everybody is on their injury report and talk
- 54:47Speaker 2: about an offense that can take advantage of that. It's
- 54:49Speaker 2: the Cowboys. That's the one thing that they can do
- 54:52Speaker 2: is score points. And pretty much the entire Cardinals roster
- 54:55Speaker 2: has an injury designation.
- 54:57Speaker 1: Yeah, they are very banged up bunch. I do like
- 55:00Speaker 1: the Cardinals plus the seven. I'm a little worried about
- 55:02Speaker 1: the six and a half. I need that. I need
- 55:04Speaker 1: that full seven to feel comfortable. So contest play. I
- 55:09Speaker 1: don't think I can get there. I did look at
- 55:10Speaker 1: last year. These two teams met in week nine last year.
- 55:15Speaker 1: Arizona dominated this Cowboys team. They were up 27 to
- 55:18Speaker 1: 10 going into the fourth quarter. They wound up winning
- 55:20Speaker 1: the game by 10 points. And I don't usually use
- 55:22Speaker 1: last year's games as analysis, but the Cowboys are pretty
- 55:26Speaker 1: much the same team that they were a year ago.
- 55:29Speaker 1: And I think this Cardinals team, at least offensively, is
- 55:31Speaker 1: more talented than they were last year. They were using
- 55:34Speaker 1: Amari DiMarcato throughout the game last year, and they should
- 55:37Speaker 1: be getting Jeremiah Love back. So this does come down to,
- 55:40Speaker 1: this has to be a shootout in order for us
- 55:43Speaker 1: to cover this, but I'm not sure that we like
- 55:47Speaker 1: it enough. Is this the official... Yastrzemski nomination or was that?
- 55:52Speaker 4: No, I made mine.
- 55:53Speaker 5: I'm on the Lions.
- 55:55Speaker 8: I was trying to peer pressure you in the nominating
- 55:57Speaker 8: the Jets.
- 55:59Speaker 1: Well, you got it. You nailed it. Well done.
- 56:01Speaker 5: Okay.
- 56:02Speaker 4: So we're cooking here, Jags.
- 56:04Speaker 2: We are.
- 56:04Speaker 1: And we're doing good. We're pacing well. And we have
- 56:08Speaker 1: Jags minus seven and a half. Lions minus three and
- 56:10Speaker 1: a half. Jets minus one and a half. We feel
- 56:15Speaker 1: too tepid on the Cardinals for me. Let's leave that
- 56:17Speaker 1: alone for now.
- 56:18Speaker 4: So we're waiting on a Kendra nomination here.
- 56:21Speaker 2: I have given out, that was a nomination from me
- 56:24Speaker 2: and I gave out the Lions.
- 56:26Speaker 4: So hold on a second. So you gave out Cowboys.
- 56:28Speaker 4: Are we vetoing?
- 56:30Speaker 1: Wait, did I miss that? I literally said that. I
- 56:32Speaker 1: need you to say it. I need you to say it.
- 56:34Speaker 4: It wasn't. Yeah, it was.
- 56:36Speaker 8: I got crappy's back on his Kendra. It was not
- 56:38Speaker 8: like a very forceful Kendra nomination.
- 56:41Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah. I like the Cowboys.
- 56:43Speaker 3: I said that I had.
- 56:44Speaker 2: Well, I was giving you guys the chance to know
- 56:47Speaker 2: that I have something else in case you didn't love it.
- 56:49Speaker 3: I don't.
- 56:51Speaker 4: Can I use my veto here? I'm going to use
- 56:52Speaker 4: my veto. I don't trust the Cowboys.
- 56:54Speaker 1: Okay, fair.
- 56:55Speaker 4: A lot of love, but I don't trust them.
- 56:57Speaker 2: Listen, if that is something that hurt my feelings, you saying,
- 57:02Speaker 2: I would be in.
- 57:03Speaker 3: Trouble as well.
- 57:04Speaker 4: Oh, I know.
- 57:04Speaker 8: I know.
- 57:04Speaker 4: I know I'd hear about it. It's okay.
- 57:06Speaker 3: We're dropping lots of love bombs on the show today,
- 57:08Speaker 3: so we love you.
- 57:09Speaker 4: I was going to say, I'm a lot of love.
- 57:11Speaker 4: Air supply. Great 80s song. If you know, you know. Falcons.
- 57:18Speaker 1: The air supply? I don't think she knows the air supply.
- 57:20Speaker 7: She might.
- 57:21Speaker 4: It's definitely in a bunch of movies, but it's okay.
- 57:24Speaker 1: The Falcons are in Tampa to take on the bucks
- 57:27Speaker 1: bucks minus two and a half.
- 57:29Speaker 4: Kind of mad. I didn't nominate this. Oh no.
- 57:32Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 57:32Speaker 1: No, we're like running out of nominations at this point.
- 57:35Speaker 4: You know why?
- 57:36Speaker 1: Cause there's so we are going to fly through the
- 57:38Speaker 1: four o'clock games in the Sunday night game. So it's
- 57:40Speaker 1: fine if we take an extra minute here because the,
- 57:43Speaker 1: that the late window is terrible this week. Falcons bucks
- 57:46Speaker 1: bucks minus two and a half Baker Mayfield revenge game
- 57:50Speaker 1: against his former coach. Baker wouldn't take the bait with
- 57:52Speaker 1: the media this week, but You know he wants to
- 57:55Speaker 1: stick it to Kevin Stefanski. Big game. This one could
- 57:58Speaker 1: decide the NFC South, Kendra.
- 58:01Speaker 3: This game is disgusting.
- 58:04Speaker 2: I genuinely know that he's about to nominate this and
- 58:08Speaker 2: I don't have a veto. And if you feel strongly
- 58:10Speaker 2: about it, I'm really screwed here. But I think I
- 58:12Speaker 2: hate this more than the Bills Ravens option.
- 58:15Speaker 3: This is gross. This is just I how do.
- 58:17Speaker 2: You have a strong opinion about either of these teams
- 58:20Speaker 2: right now? Baker looks like shit. The, you know, Falcons
- 58:24Speaker 2: are inconsistent. Their special teams suck. They fumble the ball
- 58:27Speaker 2: all the time. And I know that I was crazy
- 58:29Speaker 2: and got lucky last week. Last week was the Falcon
- 58:31Speaker 2: Super Bowl.
- 58:32Speaker 3: Let's put it how it was.
- 58:33Speaker 2: That was the 49ers just way, way, way, way looking
- 58:37Speaker 2: ahead to the bye. Don't I don't know how you
- 58:40Speaker 2: buy in on either of these teams right now.
- 58:42Speaker 4: Okay, since I.
- 58:43Speaker 1: Used my nomination. I will say, John, this is the
- 58:46Speaker 1: opposite of the Jets and the Raiders because this is
- 58:49Speaker 1: a buy high on both of these teams. That's a
- 58:51Speaker 1: tough spot. Go ahead, JJ.
- 58:53Speaker 8: It is a buy high on both teams, but I'm
- 58:56Speaker 8: looking to sell Atlanta because to Kendra's point, I had
- 59:00Speaker 8: them last week against San Francisco. You're playing an undefeated team.
- 59:05Speaker 8: You look great in that game. Bijan's running the ball.
- 59:09Speaker 8: Pennix looks efficient. London and Pitts are making plays. And
- 59:13Speaker 8: you're like, wow, this is what the Falcons can be.
- 59:16Speaker 4: You start to convince yourself you're in on Atlanta.
- 59:18Speaker 8: And then you're going to watch him this week and say,
- 59:20Speaker 8: why did I convince myself that I'm in on Atlanta? Now,
- 59:23Speaker 8: by the same token, I'm putting my money on Todd Bowles.
- 59:27Speaker 4: You know I never loved that.
- 59:29Speaker 8: Tampa Bay has been not a fun team to bet on,
- 59:34Speaker 8: really dating back to last year. But hey, Steeler game
- 59:38Speaker 8: easily could have won two weeks ago. Dominated Carolina. I
- 59:42Speaker 8: already used my nomination, so I can't pick this one.
- 59:45Speaker 8: This is a Bucs play for me. I think the
- 59:47Speaker 8: public will be all over Atlanta because of what we
- 59:50Speaker 8: saw against San Francisco. And I got a little Baker
- 59:54Speaker 8: revenge angle. Bucs defense playing better. I'll take the Buccaneers
- 59:58Speaker 8: lane to two and a half.
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: Well, you are right about the public 67% of the bets, 73%
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: of the money on the Atlanta Falcons bets and money
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: pouring in on the Atlanta Falcons. When I look at
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: the matchup, I like Atlanta. When I look at the
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: spots and that we might be underrating this bucks team
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: because now we're getting a version of them. That's the
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: real Tampa Bay Buccaneers. And we're still grading them a
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: bit on what they were without Baker. And, um, the
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: injuries that they have dealt with right now. And Baker's
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: got this weird glove on and Dr. Chow did say
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: that he's fine, but he only threw the ball 11
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: times last week. And I know that it was game
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: script dependent, but that's, that's even low for game scripts.
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: It felt like they were protecting him. I have a
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: hard time with this one. I am.
- 1:00:50Speaker 3: I have more trash. I have more trash.
- 1:00:52Speaker 4: All right. So that's fine. No play, no play, no
- 1:00:54Speaker 4: blood moving on.
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: No play. Interesting matchup in this one is the coordinators,
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: Jeff Ulbrich, the defensive coordinator for the Falcons going up
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: against Zach Robinson, offensive coordinator for the Buccaneers. They worked
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: together in Atlanta last year. Ulbrich, I think, has the advantage.
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: I think when the defensive guy knows what the offense
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: wants to run, the defense has the advantage. John, where
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: do you fall on that? Because it can work either way.
- 1:01:19Speaker 8: Yeah, listen, if you're asking me who has more of
- 1:01:21Speaker 8: a body of work that I trust, it's Ulbrich as
- 1:01:23Speaker 8: a defensive coordinator. Now, I know he was terrible as
- 1:01:26Speaker 8: an interim head coach with the Jets a couple years ago. But, like,
- 1:01:30Speaker 8: that to me speaks to what he brings as a D.C.
- 1:01:32Speaker 8: Because when he was in a spot where he had
- 1:01:36Speaker 8: a focus on the other elements involving the team, the
- 1:01:39Speaker 8: defense took a major, major hit. And, like, he's done
- 1:01:42Speaker 8: a pretty decent job with this Atlanta defense. So I'll
- 1:01:45Speaker 8: say by a smidge, Holbrook, by a smidge.
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: Bucs won at 11 against the spread at home in
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: their last 12 games.
- 1:01:54Speaker 8: Something's got to give, guys. Something's got to give. But
- 1:01:56Speaker 8: at least it's not my nominee for the week.
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: At least it's not. We've been saying that for two years. Okay,
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: we're headed to the 4 o'clock window, and I hate it.
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: It's just so bad. This was the schedule maker's awful job.
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: I think I've said that four times already.
- 1:02:12Speaker 4: You're not into Chiefs-Broncos? Chiefs-Broncos doesn't do.
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: It for you? I like Chiefs-Broncos. Chiefs-Broncos is fine. And
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: we get the Dolphins or the Patriots? How's that not?
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: That is one o'clock my entire life.
- 1:02:22Speaker 8: But you want to know, well, they screwed the Dolphins
- 1:02:23Speaker 8: by not giving them a one o'clock game, making the
- 1:02:25Speaker 8: Patriots bake in the Florida sun.
- 1:02:28Speaker 4: They did that because they just needed.
- 1:02:30Speaker 8: Another, like, throw-in game for, like, the 425 game on CBS.
- 1:02:36Speaker 8: So it was like, okay, we don't have any other
- 1:02:37Speaker 8: West Coast teams. Let's just throw the Dolphins there. Let's
- 1:02:41Speaker 8: throw the Dolphins and the Patriots in there.
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: Why not?
- 1:02:44Speaker 4: Well, let's start with.
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: The Chargers and the Rams. The battle for LA, the
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: Rams favored by six and a half. We get to
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: figure out whether or not we want to bet on
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: the Chargers again. Super fun. They are in bet prison
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: for me. So no, thank you. But I don't like
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: the look on Kendra's face right now. What is this?
- 1:03:00Speaker 4: Kendra, please don't tell me you like the Chargers.
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: I love the Chargers this week. It is my favorite game.
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: nomination that I have for a few reasons. One, both
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: teams are staying in their routine because they share a stadium.
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: Nobody has to travel anywhere. You can wake up, scratch
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: your ass, have your coffee, walk your dogs, do whatever
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: the hell you need to do. Two, Chargers coming off
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: of a bye. Devontae going down. Whatever the hell is
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: wrong with Puka Nakua? The Chargers are not a winless team,
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: regardless of how bad they have been through this season.
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: The Rams clearly have shown us who they are. They're
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: not the super team that we thought they were. Also,
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: peg of the week potential.
- 1:03:46Speaker 8: Okay, I've used my veto, so I can't do that.
- 1:03:50Speaker 4: I wish I had it. Because, Kendra, friends don't let
- 1:03:55Speaker 4: friends bet on the Chargers.
- 1:03:56Speaker 3: I already did.
- 1:03:57Speaker 4: Friends don't let friends bet on the Chargers. I did it.
- 1:04:00Speaker 4: In week three against Buffalo, I'm still salty.
- 1:04:03Speaker 8: There was a game in Kansas City a couple weeks ago, Kravie,
- 1:04:07Speaker 8: where I found myself on the Chargers. Their defense did
- 1:04:11Speaker 8: everything possible to go and cover the number. They got
- 1:04:14Speaker 8: some fluky turnovers, and it still didn't matter.
- 1:04:16Speaker 3: You guys can't veto me.
- 1:04:17Speaker 7: You can't.
- 1:04:18Speaker 4: I know I can't.
- 1:04:18Speaker 3: I know the veto was done.
- 1:04:20Speaker 8: But just talking this through, there's no way in the
- 1:04:24Speaker 8: world you could get me.
- 1:04:25Speaker 4: On the Los Angeles Chargers in this game. And I'm
- 1:04:27Speaker 4: not betting the Rams, but I have no problem. Let's
- 1:04:31Speaker 4: put it this way.
- 1:04:32Speaker 8: Teases, parlays, I throw the Rams in everything. There's no
- 1:04:36Speaker 8: way in the world they're losing to this crummy Charger team.
- 1:04:38Speaker 5: Not happening.
- 1:04:38Speaker 3: They don't have to lose.
- 1:04:40Speaker 4: I know. And hopefully, for our sake, they won't because
- 1:04:43Speaker 4: I used my veto.
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: I did not. I'm going through the list. I have
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: not used my veto yet. I still have mine. I
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: have not.
- 1:04:51Speaker 4: You have not.
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: I have not.
- 1:04:53Speaker 7: Oh, God.
- 1:04:53Speaker 3: Kravitz.
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: Veto. No, we're not putting the Chargers in the contest.
- 1:05:01Speaker 3: Me and Evan are going to be holding hands laughing.
- 1:05:03Speaker 4: At you guys on Monday.
- 1:05:04Speaker 8: Evan is our stats savant. Evan is phenomenal at his job.
- 1:05:09Speaker 8: I just want to throw that out there.
- 1:05:10Speaker 4: Phenomenal.
- 1:05:10Speaker 8: I think he's 10 of 10. Evan likes the Chargers
- 1:05:14Speaker 8: every week. Evan, we got to have an intervention here, bud.
- 1:05:18Speaker 8: And Kendra, I'm including you.
- 1:05:20Speaker 4: Let's go. I'm leading the meeting.
- 1:05:23Speaker 5: Guys.
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: Evan, you want to pop on and defend yourself here?
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: Because he's right. I was on the Chargers the first
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: three weeks of the season.
- 1:05:35Speaker 4: I'm done. I'm over it.
- 1:05:37Speaker 6: We are 0-5-1 on the Chargers this season because that
- 1:05:41Speaker 6: is their ATS record. That cannot be denied. I just
- 1:05:44Speaker 6: feel like it's a good spot this week. I like
- 1:05:46Speaker 6: it for a multitude of different reasons. Injuries the week off.
- 1:05:51Speaker 6: I like the Chargers at the six and a half.
- 1:05:52Speaker 6: I'm not going to say it's.
- 1:05:53Speaker 7: Right or wrong. Lots of spots, but I do like
- 1:05:55Speaker 7: the Chargers. I'm not going to fight it.
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: I hear someone say I like the Chargers. I can't
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: help but think of that Dave Chappelle crackhead meme. I'm like,
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: I think I'm going to bet the Chargers again. Come on. Guys,
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: can't do it. Cannot do that.
- 1:06:10Speaker 3: All right, good luck finding trash somewhere else here.
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: All right, well, yeah, but we're running out of real
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: estate here. Might have to end up putting the Cowboys
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: back in.
- 1:06:18Speaker 3: Yeah, I was going to say, didn't you veto my Cowboys?
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: I did not veto. Wasn't that John? Didn't you veto
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: the Cowboys?
- 1:06:25Speaker 8: I vetoed the Cowboys. I'm kind of mad I did. Well,
- 1:06:28Speaker 8: you're vetoing the Chargers here.
- 1:06:29Speaker 4: Krabby, so we're good.
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: Yeah, let's go to the Pats and the Dolphins. We
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: have two games we need to land on here. Now
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: we're running out.
- 1:06:35Speaker 4: See, the problem is now we need a Kendrick pick.
- 1:06:38Speaker 3: Yeah, all of my picks have been vetoed, except for
- 1:06:43Speaker 3: the Lions.
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: The next one, you can throw another one out there,
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: and there's nothing we.
- 1:06:50Speaker 7: Can do about it.
- 1:06:52Speaker 3: I don't have anything else. I showed you my trash.
- 1:06:55Speaker 4: Here's my trash.
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: We hate your trash. Patriots, Dolphins, Dolphins plus six and
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: a half. This one is seven and a half in
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: the contest, which is mighty appealing.
- 1:07:06Speaker 4: Honest and crabby. This line is under seven.
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: The line is, let me double check. You know, this
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: stuff changes. There's a lot of fluidity. It's now sitting
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: at a flat seven, a lot of six and a
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: halves out there. There's more six and a halves than
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: sevens that are out there, but seven flat on DK
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: contest seven and a half, but it doesn't seem like
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: the dolphins are taking some action here. Four o'clock window game,
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: schedule makers. I'm not even going to do this again.
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: Dolphins five and one at home against the Patriots last
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: six meetings in Miami. But the Dolphins are coming off
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: of a win. I would love to bet the Dolphins here,
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: but they just beat the Jets and they can't perform
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: well two games in a row. Can they, guys?
- 1:07:47Speaker 8: It's a brutal spot for Miami from this standpoint. You're
- 1:07:51Speaker 8: coming off the win. New England's got extra time to
- 1:07:54Speaker 8: prepare after losing that game on Thursday night. And Kendra,
- 1:07:57Speaker 8: you're going to hear this all throughout Boston over the weekend.
- 1:08:00Speaker 8: Drake Mayweather, when he's a big favorite in these games,
- 1:08:02Speaker 8: covers like crazy. Like, I saw that stat earlier in
- 1:08:05Speaker 8: the week. This should be, in theory, a get-right spot
- 1:08:08Speaker 8: for the Patriots. Big first-round pick Proctor, probably not going
- 1:08:12Speaker 8: to play with a concussion. Dolphins are going to be
- 1:08:15Speaker 8: down maybe their best or second-best corner.
- 1:08:17Speaker 4: I hope I'm wrong on this. I think New England
- 1:08:21Speaker 4: wins by double digits.
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: I just am worried about how New England has performed
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: there historically. I do have an Ollie Gordon anytime in
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: this game. I would feel differently if the weather was
- 1:08:33Speaker 2: also going to be a better situation in Miami. We
- 1:08:36Speaker 2: have to remember two things here. One, it's not going
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: to be hot as hell in Miami this weekend. The
- 1:08:42Speaker 2: high on Sunday is 81. But the thing to look
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: at here is 90% chance of thunderstorms the entirety of
- 1:08:51Speaker 2: the game.
- 1:08:51Speaker 4: Oh, you're telling me we're getting a weather delay.
- 1:08:54Speaker 3: Oh, my poor buddy.
- 1:08:56Speaker 8: 11 o'clock flight don't think that's.
- 1:08:58Speaker 2: Happening i'm telling you we're getting a remandre stevenson fumble
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: game is what i'm telling you we're getting can we
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: bet that i don't think so i wish we got
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: the fumbles i.
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: Mean we could bet anything that's why i asked too
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: easily too easily altered by the uh Understood. Athletes out there.
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: Maybe something like that.
- 1:09:16Speaker 3: You guys want to know a crazy stat that I
- 1:09:18Speaker 3: learned yesterday?
- 1:09:19Speaker 5: A.J.
- 1:09:20Speaker 2: Brown has more receptions and receiving touchdowns than the entirety
- 1:09:27Speaker 2: of the Dolphins offense combined.
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: He can't have that many. Like, he can't have that many.
- 1:09:32Speaker 3: It's because all of the Dolphins offensive players are so young.
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: Oh, I see. I thought you meant this season. I'm like,
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: I don't think A.J. Brown's done anything yet. But yeah,
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: that makes sense. Um, they are babies. I do like
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: Caleb Douglas though. What a nice player that is.
- 1:09:46Speaker 4: He's a fun looking player.
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: Very fun. Very fun. Last decade teams coming off of
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: their first win of the season this late into the year.
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: So seventh game or later three and 10 straight up
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: in the next one, five and seven ATS. That is
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: where the dolphins are right now. I I'm, I'm with
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: John it's Patriots or nothing. Are we saying nothing?
- 1:10:06Speaker 3: I think we're going to have to do some negotiating.
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: All right. Well, we'll see when we get there. Let's, uh,
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: let's rattle through the rest chiefs Broncos Broncos plus one
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: and a half. My homes goes on the road after
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: one of the worst performances of his career held the
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: three points in Seattle, zero red zone drives second, fewest yards,
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: 213 in the 153 games that my home started. So
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: I think this is one of those in theory, bounce
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: back for the offense. except they're going up against a
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: defense that's eerily similar to the one that just completely
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: shut them down. And I think we're going to have
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: a repeat performance here. I really like the Broncos plus
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: one and a half. Anybody want to fight me on it, Kendra?
- 1:10:55Speaker 3: I can't fight you on it, so.
- 1:10:58Speaker 4: Wow, you can, I can. Because Denver's offense stinks.
- 1:11:03Speaker 3: Bo Nix stinks.
- 1:11:05Speaker 8: Yes.
- 1:11:06Speaker 3: They're both injured, too. Both offenses are injured.
- 1:11:10Speaker 8: And gang, let me be clear. My favorite play last
- 1:11:13Speaker 8: week was Seattle. I loved Seattle last week.
- 1:11:17Speaker 4: Couldn't get enough.
- 1:11:18Speaker 8: Seattle should have won that game by a zillion points.
- 1:11:20Speaker 8: They should have won by even more than they did.
- 1:11:22Speaker 8: I don't love the idea of like Kansas City off
- 1:11:26Speaker 8: a loss. Kansas City's defense is going to make life
- 1:11:30Speaker 8: miserable for Knicks.
- 1:11:31Speaker 4: This game is going to be low scoring. It's going
- 1:11:33Speaker 4: to be tight.
- 1:11:34Speaker 8: And I feel like Mahomes' magic finds a way. Like,
- 1:11:37Speaker 8: it's not going to be pretty. You're probably not going
- 1:11:39Speaker 8: to feel good about your position for three, three and
- 1:11:41Speaker 8: a half quarters. Also, Craffy, we had a line flip here.
- 1:11:45Speaker 8: Denver was favored by one and a half. Now, all
- 1:11:47Speaker 8: of a sudden, the Chiefs are favored by one and
- 1:11:48Speaker 8: a half? What do we make of that?
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know what to make of
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: it because I'm confused as to why it seems like
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: there's so much action on Kansas City. It feels like
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: And look.
- 1:12:03Speaker 2: This could be getting into betting after they got pissed
- 1:12:06Speaker 2: off about.
- 1:12:06Speaker 3: A friendship bracelet.
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: 55% of the bets on the Kansas City Chiefs, 60%
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: of the money on the Denver Broncos. I think some
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: of the line movement that we've seen has been injury related.
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: The fact that Jalen Waddle, who is the most explosive weapon,
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: even though they haven't used him right so far this
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: year for the Denver Broncos, it looks like he's not
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: going to play. And then you had the news that
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: Rasheed Rice was back at practice. So I think if
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: I had to make anything of that line movement, you're
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: looking at a star-wide receiver missing in action for Denver
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: and a star-wide receiver that could be coming back for
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: the Kansas City Chiefs. They're dealing with real offensive line
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: issues right now. They sent their first-round pick packing. And
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: if Rasheed Rice doesn't play, they're just so one-dimensional. I
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: find it troubling that Seattle's game plan last week was Mahomes–
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: beat us, and he couldn't. And Denver's defense is right there.
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: Success rate this season, Seattle is two, Denver's three. These
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: two are very similar, and we know how good Denver
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: is at home. I realize that I'm a little bit salty,
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: by the way, because I was on the Chiefs last
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: week on Sunday Night Football, and I had to watch
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: that misery from beginning to end. But I do think Denver,
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: I like Denver as a bet this week.
- 1:13:23Speaker 2: I'm going to say Jonah Coleman over 38 and a
- 1:13:25Speaker 2: half yards. I think where we are at right now,
- 1:13:29Speaker 2: we need to either get to a consensus on the
- 1:13:34Speaker 2: two other games we have left, which I don't think
- 1:13:36Speaker 2: we are going to. So what I think we do
- 1:13:39Speaker 2: is we circle back to chasing our Thursday night football,
- 1:13:43Speaker 2: the Browns or the Cowboys is how we're going to
- 1:13:46Speaker 2: solve these problems. Yes.
- 1:13:49Speaker 4: Because the line is six and a half.
- 1:13:51Speaker 8: We could convince me to rescind my veto.
- 1:13:53Speaker 4: I don't know if that's allowed.
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: On Dallas?
- 1:13:57Speaker 4: Let's see where we're at in these final two games.
- 1:14:00Speaker 3: Okay, so we've got the Lions. We've got the Jags.
- 1:14:04Speaker 3: You guys put in the Jets. Who else do we have?
- 1:14:08Speaker 4: That's it.
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: We need two more games. We were pacing really well,
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: and then we hit the skids. Eagles, Commanders, I have
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: no interest in even talking about this game. I definitely
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: don't want to bet it. There's not a game I
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: would like to bet less this week than this one.
- 1:14:22Speaker 4: And the problem is.
- 1:14:23Speaker 8: It's Sunday night football and I'm going to be staring
- 1:14:26Speaker 8: at it. And I know I'm going to bet it.
- 1:14:27Speaker 8: I think the Eagles are completely cooked.
- 1:14:30Speaker 4: They just have the look and the feel of a team.
- 1:14:33Speaker 4: That's just done.
- 1:14:34Speaker 3: Fire Sirianni.
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: You know what? In that, in that sense, maybe I
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: just went from, there's no game I'd want to bet
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: on less to commanders minus four and a half in
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: the contest. It's kind of a gift. And I think
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: this line closes at six and a half. So I
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: think value wise, I'm I, I'm with John. The Eagles
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: are dead men walking.
- 1:14:56Speaker 8: They've been so good, Kendra, for so long that they're
- 1:14:59Speaker 8: allowed to have one of these years, and I just
- 1:15:01Speaker 8: think it's going to be one of those years for them.
- 1:15:03Speaker 4: We're seeing it.
- 1:15:04Speaker 8: I'm not going to be surprised they trade a couple
- 1:15:06Speaker 8: of guys between now and the deadline. They're a mess,
- 1:15:10Speaker 8: and they cannot score points. They couldn't even exploit Dallas' defense.
- 1:15:14Speaker 4: For goodness sakes.
- 1:15:16Speaker 3: Yeah, I only have my Traylon Burks prop here. So whatever.
- 1:15:19Speaker 3: If you guys love it, I don't care.
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: I don't love it.
- 1:15:22Speaker 4: I don't love it because Dan Quinn's coaching the commanders.
- 1:15:25Speaker 4: So it's tough to love.
- 1:15:26Speaker 3: My question for you.
- 1:15:27Speaker 2: I think one, we have to stick with our Thursday
- 1:15:29Speaker 2: night luck and choose a side there.
- 1:15:31Speaker 3: So here's your option.
- 1:15:33Speaker 2: You're either going to rescind your veto on the Cowboys
- 1:15:35Speaker 2: or you're going to add the commanders.
- 1:15:37Speaker 4: Which one do you pick? Or the Panthers.
- 1:15:40Speaker 3: We need two.
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: Look, we have a phenomenal track record with Thursday night.
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: They're the sad cats off of a loss. We're putting
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: the Panthers in there.
- 1:15:50Speaker 3: Hear me out. Do we say, fuck it, full send
- 1:15:52Speaker 3: sad cats?
- 1:15:54Speaker 2: We throw the Bengals and the Panthers in there.
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: Well, I don't want to throw the Bengals in there
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: just because they're a cat. But I would have liked
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: if that happened naturally.
- 1:16:02Speaker 3: They're playing the Titans.
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: They are playing the Titans.
- 1:16:05Speaker 4: They are playing the Titans.
- 1:16:07Speaker 3: Meow, meow, meow, sad cats.
- 1:16:10Speaker 8: I can't convince you guys to go back to the
- 1:16:12Speaker 8: well with Seattle on Monday night.
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: I'm kind of, I'm kind of into that. I'm kind
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: of into that. Do we think Quentin Nelson's going to play?
- 1:16:21Speaker 4: Why not? Right?
- 1:16:21Speaker 8: Like they made this trade. The game's on Monday. Feel
- 1:16:25Speaker 8: like you're playing guard.
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: Like, right.
- 1:16:29Speaker 4: I mean, it's not like you're the quarterback and you.
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: Got to learn the entire playbook.
- 1:16:33Speaker 4: You're playing guard.
- 1:16:33Speaker 3: I don't know. Sam Darnold fucking sucks.
- 1:16:37Speaker 4: And Evan brings up a good point. Jeffrey Simmons, now
- 1:16:39Speaker 4: a bear.
- 1:16:40Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:16:41Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: I'm going to sit that one out. Let's throw the
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: Cowboys back in there.
- 1:16:48Speaker 7: Okay. You know what?
- 1:16:49Speaker 4: I'm a team player. It's good karma. I'll rescind. And
- 1:16:52Speaker 4: we also have six and.
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: A half, right?
- 1:16:54Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:16:55Speaker 3: So are we doing the Panthers?
- 1:16:56Speaker 5: Fine.
- 1:16:57Speaker 4: I rescind my veto. Team player.
- 1:16:59Speaker 3: Are we doing the Panthers or the Packers?
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: Panthers, for sure. Panthers.
- 1:17:04Speaker 4: We all like the Panthers, no?
- 1:17:06Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:17:06Speaker 2: I really think that we are missing the boat here
- 1:17:09Speaker 2: doing the sad cats.
- 1:17:13Speaker 4: It's your nomination though. So you, you have the power here.
- 1:17:16Speaker 3: Can we have Evan tie break?
- 1:17:18Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: Evan tie break. It's either the Cowboys minus six and
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: a half or the Bengals minus, minus 10 and a
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: half for the branding.
- 1:17:27Speaker 7: Uh, I hate them both.
- 1:17:28Speaker 6: I like the Titans entering the show, and I purposely
- 1:17:31Speaker 6: will not bet that Arizona-Dallas game because they both want to.
- 1:17:34Speaker 7: Puke on each other. You're actually making me force this.
- 1:17:38Speaker 6: It's the Arizona-Dallas pick since I would take Tennessee at
- 1:17:41Speaker 6: like 14 when it ends up closing there and everyone's gone.
- 1:17:44Speaker 2: Okay. All right.
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: So instead of the full cat parlay, we have Texas forever.
- 1:17:50Speaker 3: That's all.
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: We have just this big sad cat with a little
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: Stetson cowboy hat on.
- 1:17:57Speaker 3: I like that, but he's on an airplane.
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: I will be using data centers to create an image
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: of exactly that for socials.
- 1:18:05Speaker 2: You're welcome.
- 1:18:06Speaker 4: No sad cats. Too bad.
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: I'll throw some extra water in the ocean. John, thank
