Transcript
- 0:10[SPEAKER_00]: You're listening to Mile High Insiders.
- 0:13[SPEAKER_00]: Broncos Country, what is going on?
- 0:15[SPEAKER_00]: It's Wednesday night, which means it is time for MHI.
- 0:19[SPEAKER_00]: Very special MHI.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_00]: I am one half of MHI, Luke Patterson, and joined with me today.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_00]: Very special guest, right?
- 0:26[SPEAKER_00]: The OG of MHH himself, Chad Jensen.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_00]: How are we doing, man?
- 0:30[SPEAKER_00]: Thanks for subbing in for Thomas Hall tonight, Chad.
- 0:33[SPEAKER_01]: You'd always a pleasure.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_01]: I always jump at the chance to chop it up with your bro and it's kind of been we're talking about it before we went live.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_01]: We had some press availability today.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_01]: That's good.
- 0:42[SPEAKER_01]: We'll kind of go through it, but a relatively uneventful first practice day of the week, but we do have plenty to get to.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm stoked.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_00]: hey listen it's an exciting time of the year i i don't know how we got to December so quick uh if you would have told me that the broncos what would have started one and two and now they're sitting in a mid nine game winning street coming off of a thrilling over time Sunday night football win against the Washington commanders heading in the raiders week the broncos have a chance to sweep the Vegas raiders for a second time in two seasons man that's huge we gotta keep up with those patriots we're gonna take you through the injury report
- 1:19[SPEAKER_00]: Interesting comments from a Super Bowl winning head coach and we're going to take you through all of Broncos countries news, but before we do, let's say what's up to some of the folks in the stream who are always coming in way before the show even kicks off people can't wait to talk Broncos.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_00]: Because Chad, as you know, the Broncos are 10 and 2 fighting for that top AFC spots.
- 1:40[SPEAKER_00]: I know that you watched the New England Patriots and the Giants the other night.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_00]: Patriots technically jumped up on on the Broncos.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_00]: They're enjoying their by week.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_00]: How important is it to get that number one AFC slot?
- 1:52[SPEAKER_01]: Crucial, I mean, especially when you've laid the groundwork as they have the Broncos.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_01]: You know, they've fought the good fight.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_01]: And that was part of what the conversation today was.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_01]: the job's not done.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_01]: And that's good.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_01]: You want to hear that mindset from the team.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_01]: You don't want anybody with five games left to go Luke resting on their laurels, so to speak, but like, hey, man, how long has it been since the Broncos had a first round by, you know, this new playoff layout didn't exist back in 2015.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_01]: The last time the Broncos did have a buy, but it's been a decade
- 2:31[SPEAKER_01]: The buy thing and the playoff some people think it gives a team an advantage because of the obvious right they get to rest and he'll up and all that stuff, but There's also that argument that you want to stay hot you want to stay in the groove you don't you want to keep the pedal to the metal so to speak and be like the 97 Broncos the first team the one Super Bowl and start in the wild card round go I don't know everybody's got a different opinion I prefer the buy
- 2:55[SPEAKER_00]: Well, that's just it.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_00]: Well, and momentum means to everything to this team.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_00]: This Broncos team and they don't care how they get it done.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_00]: I absolutely loved Sean Payton when he was getting a little testy.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_00]: Sean loves to get testy at the podium as you know Chad and I love the well you escape Washington with no no no escape.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_00]: We won the game.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_00]: We want the game is Sean made that very clear.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_00]: I absolutely love club dub.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_00]: It was one of my favorite things when Sean said it in his introductory press conference.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_00]: He was bringing club dub to Denver.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_00]: What is club dub club dub is the speaker system that the Broncos have that Sean wants to play so loudly that the other team can hear them celebrating.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_00]: That's been happening in road games.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_00]: Let's hope it can happen and back to back road games with the Raiders this week.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_00]: They got so much.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_00]: By the way, exactly with the smoke machine, taking at that extra level, right?
- 3:45[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the smoke machine in there and then you've got, you know, the Walton Pender ownership group, welcoming each member of the Broncos and the coaching staff, this team is home and I can't wait.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_00]: for the raiders who are in a tailspin what they're on a six game losing streak i know they're sitting at two in ten but this Broncos squad i heard Zach talk about it the other night saying well he's going to send this cardiologist bills to the Denver Broncos the tried to lower his blood pressure cardiac kids come back kings whatever you want to call him sure would be nice if the Broncos could put the pedal to the metal
- 4:17[SPEAKER_00]: against the Raiders in Las Vegas.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_00]: Just like our guy, Papa Bear does, every single day on every single show here at MHH.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_00]: Good evening, Broncos Country, that flag is planted firmly in the ground 13 and 4.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_00]: It's well within reach, Dave.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_01]: No doubt about it.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_01]: Now, David's code, he might even, this was, here's what's interesting.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_01]: David once got a little, um,
- 4:41[SPEAKER_01]: justifiably upset because he had a prediction similar to this pre before the season started.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't even recall which podcast host Luke had offended him by scoffing at the notion that the Broncos were only going to lose whatever three or four games this season.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_01]: But look at you now, Papa Bear.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you're we're entering week four, and you're looking like, you know, Papa Domus or Nostropapa or whatever you want to call it.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_01]: And his it's code here though 13 to four plus that's wild card plus that's division plus that's that's that's a total game plus his world championship so all the way for the pop of there I'm just now seeing the plus is starting to put it together that's why we got to get Chad on this show Tom's not here to keep me in line.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_00]: Luckily Chad is David.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you for all the support.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_00]: I hope you and yours had a very happy Thanksgiving It's a holiday season now, and that's one of the funnest parts of the Broncos winning a nine game win streak number one in the AFC West You got to keep that AFC West title Chad two games ahead of the L.A. Chargers who are not going away and we've got back to back David on David crime
- 5:46[SPEAKER_00]: here on M.H.I.D.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_00]: and I David Yonkin went in and exclusive member of the M.H.H.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_00]: community, a very generous 499 over on YouTube, calling it 2813 Broncos.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_00]: And for those media outlets, the blast of Broncos, well, keep hating while we keep winning.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_00]: David's on to something, Chad.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sure you've seen it over on social media.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_00]: The national media doesn't like the Broncos winning games.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_00]: They don't like the Broncos taking things down to the wire.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_00]: There's excuses every week.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_00]: I don't get the bow next hate.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_00]: I don't get the Broncos hate.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_00]: I understand the Sean Payton hate, but talk to me a little bit from a national perspective.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_00]: What are you seeing?
- 6:24[SPEAKER_00]: You cover multiple landscapes, multiple professional sports.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_00]: Why does everyone have it out for the Denver Broncos?
- 6:30[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I think a big part of it is, you know, like a good friend of mine
- 6:35[SPEAKER_01]: Sean Peyton for a long time when he was with the Cowboys, I should say a long time ago for a few years when he was with the Cowboys who knew him well and said, you know, he's a great coach, but he's hard to love.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_01]: And the media, that's a general perception, and we, you know, even guys like us, we can see like he's a little bit of a rap scallion.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_01]: He's a little bit harsh at times.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_01]: He's very blunt.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_01]: And then of course you have all the
- 6:57[SPEAKER_01]: uh, you know, bounty gate stuff from years back, the NFL at large roots in my opinion to see Sean Peyton fall down being that as it may.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_01]: You also have the age old Broncos, you know, kind of sleeping on the Broncos thing, not giving them enough respect unless they're just absolutely, you know, uh, 606 points, 2013 Broncos.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_01]: Now we're on the cover sports illustrating everybody's bowing down.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_01]: It takes that level of achievement to kind of get on the same playing
- 7:27[SPEAKER_01]: the chiefs nowadays, et cetera, but I also think Luke one thing and I want your opinion on this.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_01]: I think one of the reasons why and I think it's actually a little bit fair.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not saying it's fully justified or that I agree with any of the hate or anything, but they are
- 7:40[SPEAKER_01]: The complexion of how these games are shaking out.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_01]: And the fact that Bonax isn't just stepping on the field and lightening it up quarter through quarter dominate, I think plays a part in it.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_01]: And for example, you take a look at the game you referenced earlier, the Giants and the Patriots.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_01]: From the second Drake maze cleats hit that grass,
- 7:57[SPEAKER_01]: It was perfect pass here, explosive play, perfect pass here, touch down.
- 8:02[SPEAKER_01]: He was just like dominating throughout right when he stepped on.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_01]: And it's I think the NFL to give him a little bit of the benefit of the doubt is hoping and waiting for that kind of a bone mix and wonder and how the heck the Broncos are 10 and 2 without bone mix playing like that through four quarters.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_00]: That's a good point.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_00]: I think the you're right.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_00]: There's a void when the Baltimore Ravens aren't doing good when the Pittsburgh Steelers aren't doing good right when these perennial teams that are usually in the postseason aren't there were left wondering who's going to carry the torch for this season.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_00]: How does it relate to next season.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_00]: I know folks are wondering if chiefs kingdom is shattering and falling apart any time you got Andy read and pat my homes.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_00]: I've entered to say you've got a shot.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm not buying into that.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_00]: I think some of it, too, has to deal with who Botanix is as a person.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_00]: Botanix doesn't want to give, click bait.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_00]: Botanix doesn't want to give tons of social media tweets out there.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_00]: He doesn't, he kind of sticks in his lane and does his thing.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_00]: You don't see Bot a lot out and about outside of his circle, if you will.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_00]: And I think he's kind of cut from Sean Payton's cloth in that.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_00]: likeness.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_00]: I heard Garrett Bowles in a recent interview talking about how much Sean Peyton meant to him, how much Sean Peyton has meant to his family.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_00]: I think Sean Peyton and Bownex both reveal a kind and considerate side that we don't see his fans, that we don't see in the media.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_00]: Those guys, they see it in the locker room.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_00]: It's one of the reasons why the Broncos are on a nine-game winning streak.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and I agree with everything you just say David Young could jump in and back to back saying, hey, look, I've been a fan since 83 and as long as I can remember the media have hated the Broncos, but it's worse now with Sean as head coach.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, you can see the bias manifest in a lot of different ways.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_01]: I think we all look had that sinking feeling when we realized that Bell Bell a check was going to go into the finalists for the Hall of Fame, 2026, knowing that
- 9:52[SPEAKER_01]: Look, you can't argue objectively.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_01]: Look, our preference sure, Mike Shannon, right?
- 9:57[SPEAKER_01]: But objectively in a football conversation, you're not putting when they're head to head, Mike Shannon in front of Bill Belichick.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_01]: So we knew he wasn't going to surpass Bill Belichick, but even the Hall of Fame bias, which they over time have begun to kind of incrementally correct Luke has been pretty obvious in terms of what David's talking about going back to 83.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_00]: in Randy Grattish are that literally waited almost half a century to get his right in place in the whole thing and absolutely shame and if it's anyone's fault it's Thomas Halls fault because Tom one he's not here and two he's friends with some of the pro football Hall of Fame voters so I'm always given Tom hell get that Tom at Thomas Hall and I fell over on X now David I'm with you and I appreciate the fandom and since eighty three you've endured some long seasons David I know that you're enjoying this season
- 10:47[SPEAKER_00]: And it's not over yet.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_00]: The Broncos have a whole mother month ago.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_00]: Remember what?
- 10:51[SPEAKER_00]: They haven't lost in September.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_00]: It's quick going off the top of my head.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's absolutely crazy to see where this team is gone.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_00]: You truly can't count them out at any point in the game.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_00]: It sure would be nice though if we got through this Las Vegas Raiders game in and out.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_00]: Max Crosby keeps me up at night.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_00]: I worry about the guy.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_00]: Um, the Raiders, I think back, I hate to say it, Chad, but week 10 Thursday night football left the horrible taste in everybody's mouth so much so that people were calling for Thursday night football to go away if you remember it was a game where more penalties were scored overall between both teams then first downs or sustainability.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_00]: So.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_00]: You got to earn a little bit more respect.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe you did that on Sunday night football.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_00]: We can talk about referees all we want.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_00]: Officials calls, non-calls.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_00]: The Broncos are finding the way ways to win games and nobody is going to apologize for it.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_00]: And listen, nobody's going to apologize for the Las Vegas Raiders either if they come in and compete against the Denver Broncos.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_00]: I'm reading the headlines just like everybody else is.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_00]: Pete Carroll, what's the status of his tenure?
- 11:58[SPEAKER_00]: Las Vegas amid what?
- 12:00[SPEAKER_00]: 10 games.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_00]: That's in peril.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_00]: Gino Smith taken shots at the fan base and everybody else.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_00]: So what's the long-term solution there?
- 12:08[SPEAKER_00]: You can't count the raiders out.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_00]: They're still a dangerous opponent because they're a wounded animal.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_00]: As pathetic as they may be, they're a wounded animal.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_00]: They've got Max Crosby, take care of your business Denver.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_01]: And they showed you in that Thursday night game that look AFC West, divisional games always have the possibility of being a little bit outlier, you know, like nobody under the sun for saw that being a 10, 7 game, or that the Broncos were going to really look that bad throughout.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_01]: It took another kind of late game.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_01]: pull it all together from the Broncos and Bonyx to pull that out.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_01]: And there's obviously guys, listen, a lot, lot more to get to tonight, including your comments and super chats.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_01]: But first, listen up holidays, guys.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_01]: We just had Thanksgiving, we're in December now, officially.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_01]: And it's here, and it's about also finding the perfect gift, but this time of year, not every deal is actually what it seems, because scammers are getting more creative to trick people into sharing their payment info through methods like

- 14:27[SPEAKER_01]: Appreciate, cash app, of course.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_01]: And we also appreciate guys like B-Rad, who we got to kick it with at the meet and greet this year.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_01]: It was awesome to hang.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_01]: Came away, if I recall, right?
- 14:37[SPEAKER_01]: Came away with a brand-spanking new MHH app.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_01]: A good to see one of our dear members and superstars.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_01]: B-Rad says, Broncos have to dominate the Raiders this time, 31, 14, Luke.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_01]: I kind of have a feeling that all the blowback
- 14:52[SPEAKER_01]: Again, like you said, you got to be cautious, wounded animal.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_01]: I'm actually 100% with you on that, but some, I have this sneaking suspicion that the Broncos are looking to make up for a little bit of lost time and kind of get some of that egg off their face from Thursday night football.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see, but...
- 15:09[SPEAKER_01]: I'm picking up what B-rad here is putting down.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_00]: No, I'm with it, man.
- 15:13[SPEAKER_00]: And listen, you can read about our official predictions on Friday morning over milehinehuddle.com.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_00]: You can check out our roundtable picks.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not sure who's in the lead yet.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_00]: I think we're all pretty even with the Broncos win streak.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_00]: I think we are riding as the Broncos ride.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm with you, Brad.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_00]: I think that the Broncos have a chance to get right in a few different areas.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_00]: And one of them is going to be in the run game.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_00]: And I preview it with my keys to victory that will be coming out tomorrow.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_00]: mile high huddle.com.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to spoil everything, but ironically, it was JK Dobbins, who tore that Liz Frank ligament against the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday night football about a month ago.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_00]: Since then, RJ Harvey, well he hasn't been the rusher that we want him to be as a rookie, but when you look at what this young man is doing,
- 15:58[SPEAKER_00]: very, very impressive.
- 16:00[SPEAKER_00]: Eight total touchdowns, 23 total first downs on 105 touches, 501 total yards.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_00]: This guy's getting it done as a receiver.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_00]: He's getting it done as a back, and he has it fumbled the football.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_00]: This is a get right game for the Broncos run game.
- 16:15[SPEAKER_00]: You could read about it tomorrow at myhotel.com.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_01]: Let's hope, let's hope because, man, that's the one missing ingredient.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I mean, I guess we should talk about a real quick as Tony Dungy talked about on Sunday night footballs kind of cool and you've seen the memes in the story going around.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_01]: to quote him real quick, and then we'll get past it.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_01]: He said that quote, they're the best, the Broncos.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_01]: They're the best in the AFC right now, outstanding defense and their clutch on offense.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_01]: The defense feels like all they have to do is keep it close and bone-necks will win it for us.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_01]: They used to say that about Mahomes and Kansas City close quote, and Luke, as fun as it is to hear a member appundant within the national media, especially a bona fide guy that's got a ring and that's got a bust in Canton.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_01]: It's true.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_01]: However, the one
- 17:03[SPEAKER_01]: fly in the ointment here to the Broncos dreams coming true is that run game they got to get that figured out and I do have faith in RJ Harvey and I do have faith in champagne although he oddly kind of keeps pointing to the blocking for whatever reason but Camden thank you for being patient big dog appreciate you being just a dear member and a huge supporter of MHH he says what's up Broncos country I'm excited about the Elijah Moore pick up hopefully another
- 17:34[SPEAKER_01]: How are you feeling about the Broncos picking up the former?
- 17:37[SPEAKER_01]: Let's see, which team drafted him?
- 17:39[SPEAKER_00]: Was he with the jets and then the rounds?
- 17:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, second round pick out of Ole Miss by the jets.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_01]: You signed to this practice squad yesterday.
- 17:46[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, busy day for Ole Miss, right?
- 17:47[SPEAKER_00]: Or busy week I should say, Ole Miss is the headline of the Lives or more of a product of it, I suppose.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_00]: What do I make of it?
- 17:53[SPEAKER_00]: I'm confused, Camden.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know about this Elijah Moore thing.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot of overreaction we were talking about it before the show, folks are wondering, does this mean there's an odd man out?
- 18:02[SPEAKER_00]: It's one of the receivers in Sean Payton's Doghouse and I'm trying to go through and figure out who that might be.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_00]: Troy Franklin, I don't think so.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_00]: Pat Bryant, no, Portland Sutton.
- 18:13[SPEAKER_00]: He's catching anything.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_00]: You throw him these days.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_00]: He's a touchdown machine.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_00]: Who are we looking at?
- 18:19[SPEAKER_00]: That's in the doghouse.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe it's just you're trying to stack your team up a little bit.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_00]: You're maybe one of these guys.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_00]: The injury report looked pretty clean today with the wide receivers.
- 18:27[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not sure what to make of it, Camden, but here is what is interesting.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_00]: I just got done falling all over myself about Quadzilla RJ Harvey.
- 18:34[SPEAKER_00]: It's pretty surprising when you realize that RJ Harvey has more receptions this season than Marvin Mims and Pat Bryant.
- 18:41[SPEAKER_00]: It just shows a little inkling of what Sean Payton prefers to do.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_00]: Remember, Sean loves to tell us sometimes the short passes can substitute for the run game.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_00]: While that may be true and competitive style matchups and affairs on over time, when you're getting ready to face a Las Vegas Raiders team that is deflated, I need Sean to run north and south.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what this means for Elijah Moore.
- 19:06[SPEAKER_00]: Stay healthy.
- 19:07[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe we use him a little bit later towards the end of the season and you rest a big dog like Portland Sutton.
- 19:12[SPEAKER_01]: And I just would rather see whatever way that more gets grafted into things if it happens.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_01]: Look, I got to be honest, I would rather see those opportunities go to a Marvin Mims because.
- 19:24[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he missed a couple of games with that concussion, but in my opinion, whatever it is now 12 actual games in, he's been woefully underutilized in the offense.
- 19:34[SPEAKER_01]: Now, we obviously know huge impact guy in the return game, but especially in the punk return game, but I want to see him more in the offense.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want someone coming in who's got a similar skill set, the speed all that.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, one thing about more, he did run a 435 at his pro dad Ole Miss.
- 19:48[SPEAKER_01]: for what it's worth.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_01]: He can burn, but we'll see how he fits in Tucson, Phil.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_01]: He's fitting in right now like a boss like he's right at home because he is.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_01]: Good to see you big dog says good evening.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_01]: Well, Chad Luke, Dick and Scott Scott's in the house.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe this game we get the running game going.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_01]: Echoing my brother here, Luke.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_01]: Hashtag buck up in my church for life, Broncos for life.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_01]: I want to see Luke just one game.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_01]: One game with RJ Harvey is RB1, where his yards
- 20:18[SPEAKER_01]: So far in the is it been two games post post JK I think it's two games, but he's been in the two seven range not good enough
- 20:26[SPEAKER_00]: No, not good enough.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't, I don't put it on RJ Harvey.
- 20:29[SPEAKER_00]: I put more of it on Sean Peyton.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_00]: Sean Peyton, the play caller is his own worst enemy and Phil, as Phil remembers, the Broncos had a top 10 offensive rushing attack for the first third of the season.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_00]: And every week, it seems like they've just been dropping down right now.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_00]: They're sitting around 16, 17, middle of the pack.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_00]: That's not to say they can't get it back.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_00]: But this is the get right game.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_00]: It's against the Raiders.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_00]: They're deflated, but they're gonna want to get some action in.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_00]: What better way to send Sean Payton home miserable than beating the Broncos?
- 21:00[SPEAKER_00]: You cannot overlook the raiders at the same time.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_00]: Let's get in and let's get out.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_00]: How do we do that?
- 21:04[SPEAKER_00]: You run the ball.
- 21:05[SPEAKER_00]: Let's limit momentum.
- 21:07[SPEAKER_00]: Let's limit interceptions.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_00]: Form both the sky doesn't fumble, right?
- 21:11[SPEAKER_00]: Knock on some wood.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_00]: RJ Harvey doesn't fumble.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_00]: I know we've had a couple drops.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_00]: but an impressive rookie campaign from this guy.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_00]: I'm with you Phil.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_00]: We got to see it.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_00]: Tyler Bade, Jolittle McLaughlin, and let's get a bell-cow game from RJ Harvey because I got it beyond a JK dominance.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_00]: I missed the big fella.
- 21:28[SPEAKER_00]: And while I can appreciate Sean teasing, well, maybe in the playoff she'd come back and we'd work him in, I just don't see it.
- 21:35[SPEAKER_00]: Here's a Bronco that could be returning in the near future, haven't seen it on the injury report today, but see in how it is December, Chad may be Ben Powers comes back in the next few weeks.
- 21:44[SPEAKER_00]: Remember it was what?
- 21:45[SPEAKER_00]: It gets the Philadelphia Eagles when the Broncos stunned the world, began their win streak and Ben Powers had to go out.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_00]: We were told Ben Powers could come back towards the middle of December right around a playoff front.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and I, oh man, forgive me, I can't remember who it was in Broncos media posted a nice little tweet that illustrated the difference in the run game production with Ben powers and without him and suffice it to say it was better with Ben powers and then of course, then you remove Ben powers from the equation, then later you're
- 22:18[SPEAKER_01]: your bell cow and JK Dobbins and it's just gotten worse.
- 22:20[SPEAKER_01]: But I would like to see him back.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_01]: My bet is middle of the month, maybe is when we see him.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_01]: If they were starting this clock, we would have seen him on the report today.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_01]: So we know it's not happening this week, but I'm with you dude.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_01]: They got to, uh, they got to hopefully get him back sooner than later.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_01]: And real quick, a matter of business.
- 22:37[SPEAKER_01]: Mike, I hope you saw.
- 22:39[SPEAKER_01]: I posted the link.
- 22:40[SPEAKER_01]: Mike's trying to figure out where is it?
- 22:42[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not sure where the actual comment is because I
- 22:46[SPEAKER_01]: Our dear friend Mike is wondering how to what the link is to sign up to become a member on YouTube.
- 22:52[SPEAKER_01]: So I paste to the link bro.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_01]: It's in the chat smash that you're good to go my friend and we appreciate you believe that we also got Ralph Brace girl checking in the
- 23:02[SPEAKER_01]: Patriarch of the Bray Skirtle clan who we got to kick I got I've actually gotten to kick it with these guys twice this year Most recently at the meet and greet hope everyone's doing well.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_01]: They like to put it up on the big screen at home So hope everybody's doing well.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_01]: I'll say rockers country knows we are four points.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_01]: This is an interesting
- 23:21[SPEAKER_01]: an interesting observation here, Luke, where four points from being 12 and 0 on stupid plays, love your MHH.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_01]: Love your right back, Ralph.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for the support and the stars, big dog.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_01]: And it isn't, it's crazy to think, Luke.
- 23:33[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I think they were losing that chargers game, because they just, the defense could just could not stop just in Herbert and the fourth quarter.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_01]: bounce of the ball different.
- 23:48[SPEAKER_01]: They win that one, you know, the leverage, the controversial leverage penalty and all that stuff.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_01]: But they have been this close to being undefeated 12 weeks, well, 14 weeks now.
- 23:57[SPEAKER_01]: We're getting into week 14 into the season.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_00]: Well, when I take you through an interesting commonality tomorrow or my keys to victory Ralph where I actually examine some of the time of possession and how that relates to the Broncos success or lack of success if you want to look at that that way and it's really interesting man for me the cults with such a catalysts game I know it was their first loss of this season and then chargers back to back loss, but you know the Broncos defense
- 24:20[SPEAKER_00]: What else can you say about this group?
- 24:21[SPEAKER_00]: They're absolute monsters.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_00]: And everyone wants to talk about 51 sacks.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_00]: Everyone wants to talk about Nick Benito at 10 and a half and a bad at past that won the game for them in Washington.
- 24:32[SPEAKER_00]: Nobody's really talking about the Broncos not surrendering a 100 yard russia since Jonathan Taylor obliterated.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_00]: Denver's defense back in what we do.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_00]: It's a catalyst moment for me for Vance Joseph specifically because that's been the rap on Vance Joseph for so many years.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_00]: How does coach adapt?
- 24:53[SPEAKER_00]: How does he stop the run and you're not only seeing this defense take pride in the past rush?
- 24:58[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's something we saw a lot in 2024.
- 25:00[SPEAKER_00]: Now you're seeing this defense say,
- 25:02[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to shut the rundown and then we're going to feast and we're going to get after the quarterback.
- 25:06[SPEAKER_00]: Do you remember Gino Smith picking himself up off of the turf on Thursday night football?
- 25:11[SPEAKER_00]: I know it was boring.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_00]: I know we tried to block that game out of our memory, but the dude got the crap beat out of him.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_00]: What are you thinking is going to happen to him in Las Vegas on a turf field?
- 25:22[SPEAKER_00]: This Raiders offensive line is future.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_00]: I'll take you through that tomorrow as well.
- 25:27[SPEAKER_00]: And since
- 25:28[SPEAKER_00]: facing the Broncos defense shed.
- 25:30[SPEAKER_00]: It's been bad news for Gino Smith, man.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_00]: He's been sack 19 times.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_00]: They're on a six game losing streak.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_00]: Two interceptions, three fumbles.
- 25:38[SPEAKER_00]: It is bad news.
- 25:39[SPEAKER_00]: And film a bloplin circlin back around.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry, Luke.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_00]: I'm so used to chat and Zach do not be sorry, Phil.
- 25:45[SPEAKER_00]: You show up for us.
- 25:46[SPEAKER_00]: Every Wednesday night here on MHA.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_00]: It's fun when we mix it up, man.
- 25:49[SPEAKER_00]: We try to mix up some of these shows.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_00]: Keep you guys guessing.
- 25:52[SPEAKER_00]: And that's another cool part of the MHH exclusive community aspect.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_00]: If you'd like to become a member,
- 25:58[SPEAKER_00]: gives you perks to all kinds of MHH exclusive content.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, buddy.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_01]: It's that that Raiders game, what was it?
- 26:07[SPEAKER_01]: Six Sacks, the Broncos Sack Genosmith, six times, beat the Everloven, snott out of him.
- 26:14[SPEAKER_01]: You threw a pick, finish with a terrible quarterback.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_01]: I'm here in 43 yards, 16 for 26.
- 26:20[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, bad game.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_00]: I can't believe he's still starting.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_01]: It's interesting.
- 26:25[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's reflective of they really don't have a better option,
- 26:29[SPEAKER_01]: It's been bad enough this season Luke and Vegas, not that we want to make this a Raiders podcast, but it wouldn't surprise me if Pete Carroll got handed the walking papers after just one year.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_01]: And especially knowing the kind of ownership that they have, like, you know, Mark Davis, all that stuff, the wise thing would be to gut it out, let Carroll continue to kind of instill his vision and
- 26:55[SPEAKER_01]: You know, use your well-earned draft position that you're going to have next year to find a quarterback for the future and keep rocking and rolling, but it's not looking good.
- 27:04[SPEAKER_01]: And I feel very good.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_01]: Very good loop about the Broncos outlook, even though last season was actually the first time ever the Broncos of one in that stadium.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_01]: I think the Broncos sweep now the Raiders two years in a row.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_00]: No, it's important to look at the Raiders and it's important to kick them when they're down.
- 27:20[SPEAKER_00]: It really is.
- 27:20[SPEAKER_00]: I could remember wanting Ashden Janty and wanting the Broncos to give up a ton to go get them.
- 27:25[SPEAKER_00]: Boy, I'm glad that they didn't, because our day Harvey, I'm very pleased with the young back.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_00]: I'd like to see him use a little bit more as a runner instead of a receiver, but hey, you know, winnings winning.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll take that, not to quote Vin Diesel from Fast in the Furious or anything like that.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_00]: Um, no, Pete Carroll, the Raiders, they're in a little bit of flux right now.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_00]: Tom Brady's not happy is what minority owner or whatever we got to say there.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_00]: Um, this is a really important divisional game for the Broncos.
- 27:52[SPEAKER_00]: The very first goal for the Broncos is what you win the division and something the Broncos haven't done in a long time.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know Chad.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not superstitious.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_00]: I'm kind of suspicious.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_00]: And it's weird to me that on the 10 year anniversary of Super Bowl 50, you were at the reunion, the MHH meet and greet was reunion alumni weekend.
- 28:11[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:12[SPEAKER_00]: Mile High Magic tends to turn its head towards a favorable position in the sun for Denver Broncos.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_00]: And I can't wait to see it, man.
- 28:21[SPEAKER_00]: If you're telling me the Broncos could come in and sweep this Raiders team, extend their win streak to 10, keep pace with the New England Patriots.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_00]: are on a collision course and Drake may.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_00]: He's playing good football.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_00]: There's against the giants.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, you can go back and compare Bolognix's stats against Drake may stats when they both played the giants if we want to.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_00]: But the teams are pretty interesting when you look at their coaches.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_00]: I hate to say I'm a Mike Rable guy.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_00]: I really like Mike.
- 28:49[SPEAKER_00]: There was a
- 28:49[SPEAKER_00]: time.
- 28:50[SPEAKER_00]: I thought that it could work Sean Peyton and Mike Raeble here probably couldn't have two big alpha dogs, two nasty personalities, but I like what Mike Raeble's defense is doing.
- 29:00[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think the Patriots defense gets enough love.
- 29:02[SPEAKER_00]: I really don't all because of the Drake May offense that's happening.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_00]: But I think the Broncos in the Patriots, they're going to square up and it's going to be fireworks.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be a potential game of the year, just like Filma Gloughlin, always given fireworks.
- 29:14[SPEAKER_00]: It's great to see Ellis back.
- 29:16[SPEAKER_00]: Now, powers.
- 29:17[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, let's go through that injury report real quick.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_00]: Jonah Ellis is officially back.
- 29:21[SPEAKER_00]: Ellis Brothers raising hell all over the NFL just talking about that patriots game.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_00]: He's on the injury report today with a hamstring.
- 29:29[SPEAKER_00]: He did practice in full.
- 29:30[SPEAKER_00]: Reese Taylor corner back chest injury practice in full.
- 29:34[SPEAKER_00]: Nate Atkins tight-end knee did not practice and DJ Jones.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_00]: Big cat defensive tackle with an ankle did not practice.
- 29:42[SPEAKER_00]: That's four Broncos on the injury report compared to what 12 for the Raiders or something like that.
- 29:47[SPEAKER_00]: Denver has found a way to stay healthy and get their guys back.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sitting here thinking to myself, how many games is it now?
- 29:54[SPEAKER_01]: Cause if you don't practice at all on the Wednesday, it's usually about a 70% chance, especially if you've been injured, talking about the Broncos now.
- 30:04[SPEAKER_01]: that you're not going to play this week.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_01]: There are those instances where it's a DNP on Wednesday, limited on Thursday, full on Friday, and they play.
- 30:14[SPEAKER_01]: But usually when it's a DNP loop on a Wednesday as we know they usually don't end up shooting up.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_01]: Now, you look at Nate Adkins who remains this team's best blocking tight end.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_01]: That could really help with what we were talking about earlier, getting the run game going and getting a Harvey loose.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm thinking to myself, if he's he suffered that injury to his knee in the Cowboys game.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_01]: So that was week eight, week 90 missed, week 10, week 11, by week four games now.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_01]: He's missed.
- 30:45[SPEAKER_01]: Why didn't they put them on IR?
- 30:47[SPEAKER_01]: Like,
- 30:48[SPEAKER_00]: I want to talk to anyone I are I are chat.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, seriously run through the run through your head real quick.
- 30:53[SPEAKER_00]: I'm totally spacing it jealous of your tumbler, by the way, but they don't the Broncos they they truly don't put anyone I are on I are they're they're writing their system.
- 31:03[SPEAKER_00]: I know it's a case by case difference, but
- 31:05[SPEAKER_00]: Adam Prentice did I see him get a love what a reception against Washington the other night That's a little bit of a testament to the Broncos depth and I can't believe I'm saying that Broncos depth we're talking about Ben Powers and when can we get Ben Powers in Liz and Alex Palchewski and Frank Crum They deserve their flowers.
- 31:20[SPEAKER_00]: I would love to see some more Frank Crum, right?
- 31:22[SPEAKER_00]: Love those blonde locks from Wyoming out there But Alex Palchewski, it's Thomas's guy.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_00]: He's been a serviceable lineman for sure.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_00]: It was great to see what Luke Wattburg it
- 31:32[SPEAKER_00]: Extended, I suppose, not my favorite player, but well-deserved, you rode with it, and Sean and Bob believe in you, which is why you are extended as the Broncos offensive line continues to search.
- 31:43[SPEAKER_00]: But listen, the run games are going to go as the offensive line goes, and the old line needs to get after it, this game.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_00]: They need to keep Bob protected, Bob doesn't take a lot of sex, as we're continually reminded by any commentator that calls a game for Bo Nix.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_00]: The offensive line is playing really well right now, Chad, and that is one of the biggest reasons and defensive line, too.
- 32:03[SPEAKER_01]: The big ugly's this team goes as the big ugly's goes the old lines humming the D lines nasty Yeah, I hear you did and it is weird, but I'm feeling like look they were right on ps2 That thought hey, we think it's three games and I need to be in four weeks, but three games because of the buy
- 32:22[SPEAKER_01]: And they got him back in time, right?
- 32:24[SPEAKER_01]: Ben Powers, they knew that was gonna be long term IR, JK, long term IR.
- 32:29[SPEAKER_01]: Like we can pull up the roster on the team website and remind ourselves who's on IR, but that's actually beside the point.
- 32:36[SPEAKER_01]: In the Nate Adkins case, the only implication or takeaway I should say,
- 32:41[SPEAKER_01]: why they haven't put them on is that he must have suffered a setback or their initial prognosis form was a mystery, but I hope he's the exception this week and that his DNP leads to a limited tomorrow and then maybe a full go on Friday any place because they need him, but I actually got a, I got a concur here with one of our dear members Sue Gibson who says, you know, in explanation of the paths being at 11 and two,
- 33:07[SPEAKER_01]: Which again, like Sean Peyton put it in to a good perspective when the Broncos one nine saying what you know hey it's pretty hard to do that in the NFL put it in the context of another sport it'd be like you know winning 40 straight in the NBA or the MLB it is a monumental achievement it's not the ultimate achievement, but it's not easy to do so credit to the paths for winning now 10 in a row I don't want to take that away from him, but for whatever reason Luke
- 33:33[SPEAKER_01]: I don't fear them as Sue says, Pat's have a weak division and let's not forget they lost to the Raiders, which yes, they did lose, but we got also remember the Broncos.
- 33:44[SPEAKER_01]: Raiders played the Broncos pretty tough too.
- 33:46[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see how it goes this week, but I don't fear this New England Patriots team and it's I think a big reason for that is I think Drake
- 33:59[SPEAKER_01]: like the Drake May that you saw the other night, lighten up the New York Giants.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_00]: No, I love it, Sue.
- 34:05[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I forgot about that week one loss to the Raiders, 20 to 13.
- 34:10[SPEAKER_00]: It's interesting when you look at the rest of the Patriots schedule, right?
- 34:13[SPEAKER_00]: And they come off of their by week.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_00]: They've got a game against the Buffalo Bills at home.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_00]: And then they hit the road to the Baltimore Ravens.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_00]: And I know both of those teams, Buffalo, right?
- 34:22[SPEAKER_00]: We're trying to figure out what's their trajectory.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_00]: Baltimore.
- 34:26[SPEAKER_00]: We're just trying to figure out what the hell happened to the Ravens.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I think both of those games could be very tough for the New England Patriots.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_00]: Then you've got jets and then you've got Miami.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_00]: It's interesting when you look at that compared to the Broncos schedule, my tend to agree with you, Sue.
- 34:40[SPEAKER_00]: They definitely had an easier schedule, but
- 34:42[SPEAKER_00]: They're really aren't any easy games in the NFL.
- 34:44[SPEAKER_00]: And it's something that I usually talk about on a weekly basis on this show.
- 34:49[SPEAKER_00]: I would challenge just anyone, whether you're a casual fan, your hardcore fan, media member, whoever the hell you are, go do a pickup this week and seriously, circle the team that you think's going to win and circle back around and tell me how it worked out.
- 35:01[SPEAKER_00]: It's so hard, Chad.
- 35:02[SPEAKER_00]: I do it every single week and aside from my fantasy football team being horrible, my pick-ups not that much better, unless it's the Denver Broncos, because we're writing
- 35:12[SPEAKER_00]: It is truly the league of parity.
- 35:14[SPEAKER_00]: It's why it's my favorite sport on this planet any given Sunday Monday Thursday hopefully then on out another week
- 35:21[SPEAKER_00]: You're either going to win or lose, um, and talent is just so deep in this league, man.
- 35:26[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, upsets happen every single week.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_00]: That's what it's fun to kick on a Sunday game.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_00]: That's why I wanted to see Shidorah Sanders and the Cleveland Browns uniform.
- 35:34[SPEAKER_00]: And yes, I'm not going to let Jerry Judy off the hook for being a punk to Shidorah on the sideline.
- 35:40[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe the two deserve each other.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_00]: But thank goodness.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_00]: Jerry Judy is out of Denver.
- 35:44[SPEAKER_00]: How to get another example.
- 35:46[SPEAKER_01]: of Sean Peyton being right, like this is why I have adopted what we used to say about John L. Way, the first five years he was in the GM in L. Way, I trust or in L. Way, we trust.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_01]: I've adopted that same philosophy with Sean Peyton and he was right about Jerry Judy.
- 36:03[SPEAKER_01]: Now, yeah, there was an exciting circumstance.
- 36:05[SPEAKER_01]: The Broncos were going to move on from Russ.
- 36:08[SPEAKER_01]: They had to shed some salary and they had just picked up his fifth year extension, so he
- 36:16[SPEAKER_01]: That wasn't the only reason, though.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_01]: He was moved on.
- 36:19[SPEAKER_01]: The Broncos had other options if they were really desperate to shed salary It was he didn't fit the culture.
- 36:25[SPEAKER_01]: He didn't fit Sean Paton's vision and you're seeing why you're seeing the kind of prima donna selfish Tone-deft kind of stuff and thank God It's happening in Cleveland not the mile high city speaking of thanking the football guys.
- 36:37[SPEAKER_01]: We got lady D in the house dropping in
- 36:40[SPEAKER_01]: from the top rope.
- 36:41[SPEAKER_01]: She's not only throwing down a very generous super.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_01]: She's gifted 10 mile high huddle YouTube memberships to folks in the chat.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so much, lady Dee.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_01]: We love you.
- 36:50[SPEAKER_01]: Hope you're doing well.
- 36:51[SPEAKER_01]: Give our best to David.
- 36:52[SPEAKER_01]: your husband.
- 36:53[SPEAKER_01]: She says hi Chad and Luke.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_01]: Hello, everyone.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_01]: Glad we're getting healthy.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_01]: We will need that going into the playoffs.
- 36:59[SPEAKER_01]: What do you think our chances are to win the one seat?
- 37:03[SPEAKER_01]: Raider week.
- 37:04[SPEAKER_01]: We need to win this game.
- 37:05[SPEAKER_01]: Go Broncos, Emmitches for life, MHI.
- 37:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so real quick, Luke, let me serve this over to you and you answer for the lady D. The New England Patriots from here on out.
- 37:16[SPEAKER_01]: They're on by this week, which gives the Broncos the
- 37:23[SPEAKER_01]: Then they come out of the buy, they're at home against Buffalo, then they go on the road, Baltimore Ravens, then on the road again, jets, divisional game, and then home to close out the season against the dolphins.
- 37:35[SPEAKER_01]: So how do you see the rest of their season, knowing they're 11 and two now, shaking out?
- 37:40[SPEAKER_01]: Pat, you're going to lose some games.
- 37:41[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to lose two games at least.
- 37:42[SPEAKER_00]: In my opinion, I think the Broncos have a huge advantage over the New England Patriots, because they're a year further than where the Patriots are now.
- 37:51[SPEAKER_00]: We have to remember that Mike Brayble is in his first year.
- 37:54[SPEAKER_00]: We also have to remember that Josh McDaniels is around, and he tends to stink that join up a little bit.
- 37:59[SPEAKER_00]: That's not to say that Drake may's not the real deal.
- 38:01[SPEAKER_00]: I he is, but I'm sticking with bone next.
- 38:04[SPEAKER_00]: I wasn't a big Drake may guy in the draft as you know, I wasn't a big bone next guy in the draft.
- 38:09[SPEAKER_00]: That was a Jane Daniels guy.
- 38:11[SPEAKER_00]: And that's not to say opinions can't change.
- 38:13[SPEAKER_00]: I am on the bone next bus.
- 38:15[SPEAKER_00]: But happy Thanksgiving, belated Thanksgiving, Deanna.
- 38:18[SPEAKER_00]: We really, really appreciate you.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_00]: Hope you and the grandkids are doing well and getting ready for a Merry Christmas.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_00]: What are the chances we can win the one seed?
- 38:24[SPEAKER_00]: They're very high.
- 38:25[SPEAKER_00]: I think that this Broncos team right now is intimidating to a lot of their opponents.
- 38:30[SPEAKER_00]: Once the last time we could say that, it's not because they're going to come in and they're going to blow you out, right?
- 38:35[SPEAKER_00]: They had two blowout victories, Cincinnati Bengals on Monday and I football and the Dallas Cowboys on a Sunday game if memory serves.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_00]: The Broncos are undefeated at home.
- 38:45[SPEAKER_00]: I think the Patriots have a rough away record.
- 38:48[SPEAKER_00]: It's something for me where this is absolutely obtainable.
- 38:52[SPEAKER_00]: And it just feels like Momentum is definitely on both teams side, however, maturity.
- 38:57[SPEAKER_00]: What's it look like when things are rough?
- 38:59[SPEAKER_00]: How many tough spots of the Patriots been in?
- 39:03[SPEAKER_00]: I was trying to confirm today.
- 39:04[SPEAKER_00]: I think five fourth quarter comebacks, ties Caleb Williams and Bones right now this season.
- 39:09[SPEAKER_00]: How many fourth quarter comebacks for Drake May and the New England Patriots?
- 39:15[SPEAKER_00]: What's your character of this Denver Broncos team versus the Patriots?
- 39:18[SPEAKER_00]: They match up very, very well on paper.
- 39:21[SPEAKER_00]: I think it would be an amazing contest.
- 39:23[SPEAKER_00]: It's something we're going to see.
- 39:26[SPEAKER_00]: But for me, I give the Denver Broncos a very high chance of getting that number one AFC slot.
- 39:31[SPEAKER_00]: They've matured leaps and bounds in one offseason, Chad, under Bonix's leadership.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_01]: No doubt, and you also have a head coach who's been there done that.
- 39:43[SPEAKER_01]: Mike Vrable, he had a lot of success at times in Tennessee, kind of came up against the peak anti-read Patrick Behoem's buzz saw era stuff that the farthest that I recall the Titans got,
- 39:56[SPEAKER_01]: You know, Sean Payton's been there, done that, he knows the score, how it's supposed to look.
- 40:02[SPEAKER_01]: He's a detailed guy, and that trickles down to every aspect of the operation and the adversity key here.
- 40:09[SPEAKER_01]: How much true adversity have you seen the Patriots and Drake may specifically go through?
- 40:14[SPEAKER_01]: Look, it's adversity just to go out and win an NFL game, right?
- 40:18[SPEAKER_01]: We know that's not easy to do, but what I mean is
- 40:23[SPEAKER_01]: if you don't go make a play, if you don't go put together two drives in this fourth quarter, you don't even have a chance to win, let alone actually win.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_01]: Bonyx has been in that situation in this team now, several times.
- 40:34[SPEAKER_01]: And so even though this kind of goes back to the previous conversation earlier tonight, Luke, where you know, you got it still a lot of doubters in the national press because the Broncos are winning, yes, but they're not making it look all pretty in big numbers and this and that.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_01]: But at the same time, it's going to serve them more than what these big numbers are because in the same way Luke think about it like this as painful as it was for us when it happened the 2013 Broncos were doing the Star Wars numbers right breaking records flowing everybody out of the freaking water but the very first time they actually hit some true adversity and got just clocked in the jaw.
- 41:10[SPEAKER_01]: they folded like a lawn chair in Super Bowl 48.
- 41:14[SPEAKER_01]: And you wish they would have come up against the resistance and diversity like that a little bit earlier in the season so that they could have learned from a built-in callus and it could have served them when they got to the Super Bowl.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_01]: In the Broncos case this year, 2025, that callus is already pretty damn thick and I'm not sure yet that Drake may and the Patriots have even begun to form one.
- 41:35[SPEAKER_00]: I think you're exactly right.
- 41:36[SPEAKER_00]: And one of my favorite human beings of all time, right?
- 41:39[SPEAKER_00]: Marcus the trail decorated Navy seal.
- 41:42[SPEAKER_00]: All right, everybody knows Marcus the trail story.
- 41:44[SPEAKER_00]: And he's given a speech one time, Chad, and he says, you know, I like to ask people, who's your best friend?
- 41:49[SPEAKER_00]: No, say, oh, my roommate.
- 41:50[SPEAKER_00]: No, my buddy and my band, all the buddy down the street, neighbor, whoever.
- 41:54[SPEAKER_00]: And then last come, well, why are they your best friend?
- 41:56[SPEAKER_00]: Well, we like to have beer together.
- 41:57[SPEAKER_00]: We like to watch football.
- 41:58[SPEAKER_00]: We like to hang out, do this, this, that, and the other thing.
- 42:01[SPEAKER_00]: And then he'll ask him, have you ever been in a tight spot with them?
- 42:04[SPEAKER_00]: When the walls are caving in, when hell's raining down all around you and you look at them and they're like, man, this sucks, and I'm not going anywhere.
- 42:10[SPEAKER_00]: That's the Denver Broncos right now.
- 42:13[SPEAKER_00]: That's the offense.
- 42:14[SPEAKER_00]: That's the defense and that's the special teams.
- 42:17[SPEAKER_00]: There is from what I can tell zero toxicity.
- 42:20[SPEAKER_00]: on this Broncos squad right now.
- 42:22[SPEAKER_00]: They are fully focused on one goal.
- 42:25[SPEAKER_00]: And only they know who that goal is right now, right?
- 42:29[SPEAKER_00]: We could talk about Super Bowl expectations and training camp.
- 42:32[SPEAKER_00]: We could talk about all this and all that.
- 42:34[SPEAKER_00]: But they are locked in together as a group.
- 42:36[SPEAKER_00]: I wonder about that with the New England Patriots.
- 42:38[SPEAKER_00]: That's not the same that they can't get there.
- 42:40[SPEAKER_00]: But in one year with Mike Rable and Josh McDaniels and it's interesting when you look and you compare the teams.
- 42:46[SPEAKER_00]: I was doing this for my dad the other night.
- 42:48[SPEAKER_00]: you look at Mike Vrable and then Vans Joseph and you're like, oh man, tough defenses, who would you give the upper hand?
- 42:55[SPEAKER_00]: Some may say Vrable in that circumstance.
- 42:57[SPEAKER_00]: And then you look at Sean Payton versus Josh McDaniels.
- 43:01[SPEAKER_00]: And who are you gonna give the upper hand to in an offensive play caller?
- 43:04[SPEAKER_00]: And that set a circumstances.
- 43:06[SPEAKER_00]: Road game, home game, it's gonna be interesting when you look at both these teams.
- 43:10[SPEAKER_00]: I will continue to say it.
- 43:11[SPEAKER_00]: The Patriots and the Broncos are in a collision course.
- 43:14[SPEAKER_00]: And I can't wait for when it happens.
- 43:16[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be one of those things, right?
- 43:18[SPEAKER_00]: A movable object versus unstoppable force.
- 43:21[SPEAKER_00]: We just don't know which is which.
- 43:24[SPEAKER_01]: Well said, my brother, well said.
- 43:25[SPEAKER_01]: And I think it's going to look really at it.
- 43:29[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to look normal.
- 43:30[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to look like we've been there before.
- 43:32[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to think back to that 2005 season when the Broncos vanquish, the defending world champion,
- 43:38[SPEAKER_01]: Patriots in the divisional round with that champ Bailey pick in the end zone that he rounds it back to the one You know get to cop by who was that Ben Watson?
- 43:46[SPEAKER_01]: The two rules that Peyton Manning and Tom Brady had in the AFC championship game You know we've got a lot of history the Broncos going up against the Patriots in the games that matter most and it's gonna be fun
- 43:58[SPEAKER_01]: when that time comes in the nicks and may era no doubt about it.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_01]: There is a real quick here, um, grab this from Tucson field.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_01]: This may not be built as a big game, but like Chris stated, a win, a sure's Denver of winning any two-way tiebreakers with the Patriots, based on prominent opponents.
- 44:16[SPEAKER_01]: And this is a fact, you know, going back to the details, Sean Payton, this is something that I can promise you has not escaped.
- 44:24[SPEAKER_01]: Sean Payton and the Broncos notice.
- 44:26[SPEAKER_01]: And that's why combined with the blowback they got for how ugly the Thursday night game was against the Raiders I kind of have a feeling this is going to be a big old blow out I have a feeling the Broncos are going to go in there and just.
- 44:39[SPEAKER_01]: push him around, you know, put up, you know, we did points that are really a student observation for Mike, of course.
- 44:46[SPEAKER_00]: I hadn't even thought about that.
- 44:47[SPEAKER_00]: And of course, how about the Broncos sweeping the NFC?
- 44:49[SPEAKER_00]: That was awesome.
- 44:52[SPEAKER_00]: For me, man, I just need coach to like not run into any referees and not run onto the field and get a penalty.
- 44:59[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I just need coach to act right.
- 45:00[SPEAKER_00]: And in mind, his piece and cues in Las Vegas, but I think teams ultimately take on the personality of their head coaches and what better example than the Denver Broncos in the New England Patriots.
- 45:12[SPEAKER_00]: I think you see two blue collar nasty teams that don't give a G is what you think about them.
- 45:18[SPEAKER_00]: Both coaches will snap back and interrupt you in a press conference.
- 45:22[SPEAKER_00]: I heard variable doing it some guy don't interrupt me Mike the other day.
- 45:25[SPEAKER_00]: And I absolutely love it, man.
- 45:26[SPEAKER_00]: This is how men are.
- 45:28[SPEAKER_00]: This is how football is.
- 45:29[SPEAKER_00]: This is December regular season.
- 45:32[SPEAKER_00]: As we are marching towards the post season, the Denver Broncos hit the road for a second consecutive week against the Las Vegas Raiders.
- 45:39[SPEAKER_00]: And here's a friend of the show, string guy 28, 25, and exclusive member of our MHH community.
- 45:45[SPEAKER_00]: Chatter Luke.
- 45:46[SPEAKER_00]: do you think that Elijah Moore is a better pure receiver than Marvin Mims?
- 45:50[SPEAKER_00]: Do you think that's what Peyton saw on him when he signed him?
- 45:53[SPEAKER_00]: After watching this highlights, he looks better to me.
- 45:58[SPEAKER_01]: He's a more proven receiver and a more experienced receiver within the scope of that similar kind of skill set that Mims has.
- 46:07[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you look at Moore's box score for his career,
- 46:14[SPEAKER_01]: his career high season was 2023 with the Brown's 640 yards to touchdowns.
- 46:20[SPEAKER_01]: His rookie year was pretty close to that 538 in terms of yardage 5 touchdowns.
- 46:25[SPEAKER_01]: He's just seen a lot more time on task and you look at Marvin Mims now granted this season.
- 46:31[SPEAKER_01]: Elijah Moore, he's got, let's see, he's been targeted 17 times, nine receptions, 112 yards, where meanwhile you take a look at Marvin Mims who
- 46:40[SPEAKER_01]: Remember, did miss two games with the concussion, but he hasn't been featured much 24 receptions on 34 targets 242 yards and that singular touchdown.
- 46:50[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think like a lot of people in Broncos media have theorized that he's coming in to replace MIMS.
- 46:58[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's coming in because the Broncos saw how bad their punting game, what return game was, I mean, let's not forget they brought in Bandy to kind of serve as that guy.
- 47:08[SPEAKER_01]: And he did his best, but he did have that really costly fumble.
- 47:12[SPEAKER_01]: Broncos still ended up winning that game, of course.
- 47:14[SPEAKER_01]: But I think more is there as kind of just in case something happens to Mims again, we've got him one in the chamber, so to speak.
- 47:21[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think he's coming in to replace anybody in the scheme.
- 47:24[SPEAKER_00]: 100% in string.
- 47:25[SPEAKER_00]: Let's consider something that nobody wants to talk about.
- 47:27[SPEAKER_00]: Scout team, right?
- 47:29[SPEAKER_00]: It would practice squad player right now.
- 47:31[SPEAKER_00]: What can he bring to the scout team?
- 47:33[SPEAKER_00]: A lot, especially if it's what?
- 47:35[SPEAKER_00]: Good on good, Cortland Sutton talked about it a little bit.
- 47:37[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes one's on one's, but one's on two's, right?
- 47:40[SPEAKER_00]: How about Elijah Moore and Riley Moss?
- 47:42[SPEAKER_00]: Riley Moss is improving his game.
- 47:44[SPEAKER_00]: He's not grabbing everybody all the time and getting flags.
- 47:46[SPEAKER_00]: Can Elijah more?
- 47:47[SPEAKER_00]: help other defensive backs with that in addition to Riley Moss at practice.
- 47:51[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 47:51[SPEAKER_00]: That'd be great.
- 47:52[SPEAKER_00]: I was pumped to see what kind of performance Riley Moss put out there on Sunday.
- 47:56[SPEAKER_00]: Just like Pastor Tan.
- 47:57[SPEAKER_00]: I got to be nervous.
- 47:59[SPEAKER_00]: Real.
- 47:59[SPEAKER_00]: I was nervous about Pastor Tan sitting up so early.
- 48:02[SPEAKER_00]: I'm thinking against Washington, scary Terry's coming back, but I'm sure they could survive.
- 48:07[SPEAKER_00]: Thank goodness, Chad.
- 48:09[SPEAKER_00]: That's it.
- 48:10[SPEAKER_00]: And did come back partially torn pecker, not PS2 is just an absolute
- 48:16[SPEAKER_00]: string I agree with Chad and this one.
- 48:19[SPEAKER_00]: I would really put a heavy emphasis on maybe what this man can be doing at practice squad for the scout team.
- 48:24[SPEAKER_00]: It's something we don't get to see.
- 48:26[SPEAKER_00]: That practice, right?
- 48:27[SPEAKER_00]: But these guys, they need to compete.
- 48:28[SPEAKER_00]: They need to emulate their opponent, if you will.
- 48:31[SPEAKER_00]: And maybe Elijah Moore can do that in addition to being a security blanket for depth.
- 48:36[SPEAKER_01]: Roger, thank you again, buddy for being a member and for the question guys were about out of time.
- 48:41[SPEAKER_01]: So consider this kind of your two minute warning for any burning questions.
- 48:45[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Phil, we need who Fonga to get his mits on and actually haul in one of the 10 interceptions that he's dropped according to Eric who who charts the games and everything.
- 48:54[SPEAKER_01]: He's dropped 10.
- 48:55[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know not counting last week, but off the top my head.
- 48:58[SPEAKER_01]: I don't remember him dropping an interception.
- 49:00[SPEAKER_01]: I do remember him.
- 49:02[SPEAKER_01]: with a P.I.
- 49:02[SPEAKER_01]: that negated a Jaday Barron Interception, reaching back to Haunt the Broncos, but yeah, that would be nice, no doubt about it.
- 49:10[SPEAKER_01]: And one last question here, Luke, and then maybe we bounce on out from Albert, give our best to Michelle, hope the Mile High Dutchy clan is doing well.
- 49:19[SPEAKER_01]: Will V.J.
- 49:20[SPEAKER_01]: stay for after the season in an interview, he said he had nothing to prove anymore or something like that.
- 49:28[SPEAKER_01]: Everything I've heard from V.J.,
- 49:30[SPEAKER_01]: and about J, he very much is relishing the opportunity to be a head coach again.
- 49:36[SPEAKER_01]: So I think if he gets an offer, he'll take it.
- 49:40[SPEAKER_01]: If you're in the camp that is hoping he stays,
- 49:44[SPEAKER_01]: you want the Broncos to get as deep into the playoffs as possible.
- 49:48[SPEAKER_01]: Not to say that that eliminates the possibility, but a lot of teams.
- 49:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they want the best coaches from the best team Luke, but some of them, they don't want to wait till February to get their mits on the guy, you know what I mean?
- 49:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it'll be interesting to see when you look at some of the vacancies that are currently out there, right, everybody's wondering what's going to happen with the giants.
- 50:05[SPEAKER_00]: greater week, people are wondering, is Pete Carroll going to get the ax after one year, wouldn't be the first time that it happened with the Las Vegas Raiders.
- 50:12[SPEAKER_00]: I would say this, if and when the Denver Broncos accomplish their goal, maybe you see Vance Joseph take a head coaching role.
- 50:20[SPEAKER_00]: Take that for what it is.
- 50:21[SPEAKER_00]: I only they know what that goal is.
- 50:23[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, everybody wants to win the Super Bowl every year, but they know how close they are in that building, a lot more than we do here in the media or the fan base.
- 50:31[SPEAKER_00]: And that's why they're on a
- 50:33[SPEAKER_00]: Broncos team doesn't care that they've trailed in all 12 of their games all they cares that they're on the nine game winning streak all they cares that they're 10 and two undefeated at home how about that Some more not even talking about I was just a second consecutive road game, but it's the month of December and you're undefeated in the mile high city
- 50:51[SPEAKER_00]: Wow, what a thunderous applause the bronchers are going to get when they come home against the Green Bay Packers in week 15 amid a 10 game winning streak after smashing the Raiders and Ralph Bracegardle again on Facebook, circling back around, hey Chad, what is going on with bridge the gap are you planning on a live show.
- 51:12[SPEAKER_01]: I think what he's asking is.
- 51:14[SPEAKER_01]: If the Broncos go the distance and make the Super Bowl, are we going to be there to do some live shows?
- 51:19[SPEAKER_01]: I think podcasts, I think that's what Ralph's asking.
- 51:22[SPEAKER_01]: But then again, I interpreted one of his other questions wrong a couple of days ago about Aquaman.
- 51:27[SPEAKER_01]: I thought he was talking about
- 51:28[SPEAKER_01]: uh, Tylenol Hufanga because that he resembles perhaps the actor who played a Aquaman the most, but turns on, no, he was talking about Adam Troutman.
- 51:36[SPEAKER_01]: So I can't remember.
- 51:38[SPEAKER_01]: But we'll cross that bridge when we get there Ralph, thank you, pal.
- 51:42[SPEAKER_01]: And with that Luke, good stuff, man, I had a blast for all that this was a lot of fun and always relish the opportunity to jump on and chop it up.
- 51:51[SPEAKER_01]: Whoa, whoa, we're not out of here yet.
- 51:56[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, just when you think we're out, man, our MHH SuperChat Superstars come in, man, and Dianne all back in.
- 52:03[SPEAKER_00]: so generous with her time and so generous with gifting 10 MHH memberships for an exclusive access to everything we do here at MHH really appreciate you Diana.
- 52:14[SPEAKER_00]: I like I still like Marvin Mims on special teams.
- 52:17[SPEAKER_00]: Go Broncos win against the Raiders.
- 52:19[SPEAKER_00]: David's birthday yesterday and our Anniversary tomorrow.
- 52:23[SPEAKER_00]: So we're just having a great month.
- 52:26[SPEAKER_00]: Good night all.
- 52:27[SPEAKER_00]: Go Broncos.
- 52:28[SPEAKER_00]: happy belated birthday to David and happy anniversary to you both tomorrow.
- 52:33[SPEAKER_00]: We are all about giving everyone their flowers here on the MHH airwaves.
- 52:37[SPEAKER_00]: Congratulations.
- 52:38[SPEAKER_01]: The the month of December is a big month for the Henry family because you got
- 52:43[SPEAKER_01]: David's birthday, you got the Annie, and then you got Christmas.
- 52:47[SPEAKER_01]: And this time too, this month you have Broncos on Christmas.
- 52:50[SPEAKER_01]: So it's an even more special.
- 52:52[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so much, lady.
- 52:54[SPEAKER_01]: That's really cool to hear.
- 52:55[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, Marvin Mims, he's the man on special teams.
- 52:58[SPEAKER_01]: No doubt about it.
- 52:59[SPEAKER_01]: The questions
