• 0:02
Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. That's your favorite time
• 0:05
  Speaker 1: of week.
• 0:06
Speaker 2: Download the Crazy She gets you something to drink and
• 0:08
Speaker 2: you get ready to listen to market Scotty talk about
• 0:10
Speaker 2: some college football. I'm remember in the podcasting studio and
• 0:14
Speaker 2: my man Scott is traveling through time in the great
• 0:17
  Speaker 2: state of Mississippi.
• 0:18
Speaker 3: How are you, brother, man? I am good. I'm five
• 0:22
Speaker 3: top for so fast enough.
• 0:25
Speaker 4: That is a great because it is very it is
• 0:29
  Speaker 4: very accurate.
• 0:33
Speaker 2: Yes, Mississippi is the only place where you can get
• 0:36
Speaker 2: a cell phone call, see a lynching, and you might
• 0:38
Speaker 2: see a dinosaur or sleeve stack all on the same trip.
• 0:41
  Speaker 1: It's amazing.
• 0:48
Speaker 3: Was that not great?
• 0:48
Speaker 1: Yeah? What about the Simmies?
• 0:51
Speaker 3: Man? I thought I thought. I thought we were right
• 0:53
Speaker 3: on the money is the first.
• 0:55
Speaker 4: Thing on both those On both those games, I did
• 1:00
Speaker 4: think Texas held up a little better than I thought
• 1:02
Speaker 4: they were going to that on the defensive side of
• 1:06
Speaker 4: the ball. They lost that ball game because of exactly
• 1:09
Speaker 4: what we said. They're inconsistent. What was that play call
• 1:13
Speaker 4: from Sarkisian on second down? You're in a run blitz
• 1:17
Speaker 4: situation at the one foot line.
• 1:20
Speaker 3: What are you doing running a toss?
• 1:22
Speaker 4: I mean that has got to go down as one
• 1:25
Speaker 4: of the worst play calls in the history of college football.
• 1:27
Speaker 2: In that situation, yeah, you've got to be a true
• 1:33
Speaker 2: college football nerd to realize how awkward that play call was.
• 1:36
Speaker 2: And I kind of wonder if he ran it thinking
• 1:40
Speaker 2: that wasn't what they thought they were going to get
• 1:41
Speaker 2: and he was going to get him sprung outside. But
• 1:44
Speaker 2: the difference is, and you and I talked about this
• 1:46
Speaker 2: is since they've moved Caleb downs into that position and
• 1:50
Speaker 2: they've got Hitchcock at that other safety, Downds is playing
• 1:53
Speaker 2: somewhere between a mic linebacker, a strong safety, a nickel,
• 1:57
  Speaker 2: and a rover.
• 1:58
  Speaker 1: I mean, the guy's everywhere, he's ever and he's he's
• 2:01
Speaker 1: so hard to block.
• 2:02
Speaker 2: And if you go back and you watch that play,
• 2:06
Speaker 2: where the breakdown is it is he gets behind the
• 2:09
Speaker 2: tackle and he just scrapes and he follows behind the
• 2:12
Speaker 2: tackle and then able to close and make the tackle,
• 2:15
Speaker 2: and it's just, yeah, it was a great play. And
• 2:18
Speaker 2: then you got freaking Jack Sawyer is going to go
• 2:22
Speaker 2: down to Ohio State legend. I mean, the guy's kind
• 2:24
Speaker 2: of you know, all American coming out of high schools
• 2:27
Speaker 2: had a good career, but never really been great.
• 2:30
  Speaker 3: The guy, yes.
• 2:35
  Speaker 1: The football playoffs.
• 2:38
Speaker 3: Just crazy, I mean, just a just a great story
• 2:42
Speaker 3: all the way around. Sawyers.
• 2:43
Speaker 4: Also the guy who was out there not on my
• 2:46
Speaker 4: field after the Michigan game, you know, really really ticked off,
• 2:50
Speaker 4: and he has played like a skulled dog the last
• 2:52
  Speaker 4: three games.
• 2:53
Speaker 3: I mean the Michigan game lit a fire under him
• 2:57
Speaker 3: and a little fire under this team. It's don't you
• 3:01
Speaker 3: wonder if this has taught day a lesson just man,
• 3:05
Speaker 3: just go if you lose swinging, great, but go out swinging.
• 3:11
Speaker 3: Don't don't go out like you did against Michigan just
• 3:15
Speaker 3: being conservative and being scared to loose, go down swinging.
• 3:19
  Speaker 3: I mean, I certainly hope that's what it's taught Hi.
• 3:22
Speaker 3: Because they're playing like the ability level they've had all year.
• 3:27
Speaker 2: Yeah, it's gonna be fascinating. I think either one of
• 3:29
Speaker 2: these teams to win. I mean, you're sitting on a
• 3:32
  Speaker 2: thirty to thirty.
• 3:33
  Speaker 1: Wait that happen.
• 3:34
Speaker 2: You've got an Ohio State team that comes in the
• 3:36
Speaker 2: season right Number one. All we heard about is their
• 3:40
Speaker 2: twenty nine million dollar plus roster. They lose that game
• 3:43
Speaker 2: to Oregon, and they lose to Michigan. The entire fan
• 3:46
Speaker 2: base one's and fired going crazy at the end of
• 3:49
Speaker 2: the season, and then here they're going to come and
• 3:51
Speaker 2: they just barnstorm the playoffs and come all the way through.
• 3:54
Speaker 2: So that's their side of it. You've got a Notre
• 3:57
Speaker 2: Dame team that hasn't won the Natty since Lou Holtz coach,
• 4:00
Speaker 2: and the last time they played in it, they got
• 4:01
Speaker 2: the doors blown off when they played Alabama and.
• 4:04
Speaker 1: They lose to Northern Illinois. Week three. Are we two?
• 4:09
Speaker 1: Now here they are in the championship game, and they've and.
• 4:13
Speaker 2: They've played well, I mean really well. It's hard for
• 4:16
Speaker 2: me to argue that they're not the second best team
• 4:18
Speaker 2: when you've watched it go down on the field.
• 4:21
Speaker 4: Yeah, you know what, they've been really really good, and
• 4:26
Speaker 4: especially after that win with you know, at because I
• 4:32
Speaker 4: said this going into it, that win at Texas A
• 4:34
Speaker 4: and M turned out to be a very very good win,
• 4:37
Speaker 4: and especially the way they did it, and I think
• 4:40
Speaker 4: people discounted them because they turned right around and lost
• 4:43
Speaker 4: to Northern Illinois. And as we said last week, there's
• 4:46
Speaker 4: two wins against the Service academies have turned out to
• 4:48
Speaker 4: be great wins that nobody's given them that, nobody gave
• 4:52
Speaker 4: them credit for. This is just a good team. I mean,
• 4:55
Speaker 4: they're a good team, and what they are is really
• 4:57
Speaker 4: well coached. But Mark, we've talked about this one hundred
• 5:00
Speaker 4: times with all the transfers, this team's here mainly because
• 5:07
Speaker 4: it's not a roster full of transfers. What have they
• 5:09
Speaker 4: got thirteen on the roster? Isn't that right? I think
• 5:13
Speaker 4: they've got thirteen transfers on that Notre Dame roster. But
• 5:17
Speaker 4: you've got kids that are in their fifth and sixth
• 5:19
Speaker 4: year that have grown up want to play at Notre Dame.
• 5:22
Speaker 4: They're not remotely one of the six seven most talented
• 5:27
Speaker 4: teams in the country, but they're playing together and playing well.
• 5:31
Speaker 4: It's a fascinating story, right, both these stories could be
• 5:34
Speaker 4: thirty for thirties. But I'm gonna tell you something, it's
• 5:37
Speaker 4: impossible to like a coach more than I like Marcus Freeman.
• 5:41
Speaker 3: He's doing everything, He's doing everything right.
• 5:43
Speaker 4: I mean, look, I love that guy when he got hired,
• 5:45
Speaker 4: loved him when he was at when he was at Cincinnati.
• 5:48
Speaker 4: The guy's just doing everything right, and he's impossible not
• 5:52
Speaker 4: to cheer for, even when he gets lobbed up. You know,
• 5:56
Speaker 4: a question that could easily be divisive in the post
• 6:00
Speaker 4: game about you know, him being the first black coach
• 6:04
Speaker 4: in a national championship.
• 6:05
Speaker 3: Blah blah, blah blah.
• 6:06
Speaker 4: Just a fabulous answer talking about his team. Just everything
• 6:10
Speaker 4: that guy does is right and it's really really kind
• 6:14
Speaker 4: of kind of fun to kind of fun to watch,
• 6:17
Speaker 4: you know, a job that they said, oh, you can't
• 6:19
Speaker 4: win anymore. And it's interesting that here they are with
• 6:23
Speaker 4: a bunch of kids who play and play their career out,
• 6:26
Speaker 4: don't do a ton of transferring. Are they going to
• 6:29
Speaker 4: be back in the limelight because you look at these
• 6:32
Speaker 4: final four it's blue blood Central. I mean yeah, the
• 6:37
Speaker 4: blue bloods, I mean just straight blue bloods. Final four
• 6:41
Speaker 4: are truly blue bloods. And it's it's just interesting to
• 6:46
Speaker 4: me how this is going to shake out. You know, obviously,
• 6:50
Speaker 4: the Big Ten is clearly proven. They were the best
• 6:52
Speaker 4: team in the best league in the country this year
• 6:55
Speaker 4: and that's not even debatable. You know, is there are
• 7:00
Speaker 4: things that evening out because it's certainly not money thing
• 7:03
Speaker 4: with all those big schools, just how big the schools
• 7:05
Speaker 4: are and the people if they get every booster given
• 7:09
Speaker 4: fifty bucks. They're going to have a gigantic an aisle
• 7:12
Speaker 4: just from a number standpoint. So are things, you know,
• 7:15
Speaker 4: Notre Dame being the exception of that, obviously being a
• 7:17
Speaker 4: small school. But it's just fascinating to me how things
• 7:21
Speaker 4: are going to shake out. Texas has wandered in the
• 7:23
Speaker 4: wilderness and boom these last two years when Sarkesian and
• 7:27
Speaker 4: they're right back where they've always wanted to be. But
• 7:30
Speaker 4: can they can they get over the threshold next year?
• 7:33
Speaker 4: So it's just a lot of interesting storylines in college sports.
• 7:41
Speaker 2: No, I completely agree with you, And I think all
• 7:44
Speaker 2: the teams that made it through into this. I think
• 7:47
Speaker 2: the teams that made it to the final for the
• 7:49
Speaker 2: tournament I could see being strong going forward.
• 7:53
  Speaker 1: Yeah.
• 7:53
Speaker 4: I mean, you've got enough Penn States back, with Singleton back,
• 7:56
Speaker 4: you know. I mean, do you know they're going to
• 7:58
  Speaker 4: be good?
• 7:59
  Speaker 3: Yeah? Pretty much.
• 8:00
Speaker 4: I mean they're losing two first rounders, they're losing Warren
• 8:02
Speaker 4: and the Carter, Yeah, Bull Carter, and that's pretty much it,
• 8:07
Speaker 4: you know. I mean, they're they're bringing most everybody back
• 8:10
Speaker 4: in that offensive football team should be really really good.
• 8:14
  Speaker 1: Yeah, it shouldn't.
• 8:15
Speaker 2: And I mean, if anything, the college Football Playoff?
• 8:19
Speaker 1: Did it made me get more excited about next season.
• 8:23
Speaker 1: Usually when we get to we get to this.
• 8:25
Speaker 2: Point, I'm kind of fatigued because I've watched so much
• 8:28
Speaker 2: football and I've read so much football that at the end,
• 8:31
Speaker 2: I'm just kind of like I need a break, and
• 8:33
Speaker 2: I'm sure I will. You know, once we get done
• 8:36
Speaker 2: with the Super Bowl that I'm really excited about it.
• 8:39
Speaker 2: I think they'll queak the product. I think the product
• 8:41
Speaker 2: is just going to keep getting better. I think they're
• 8:43
Speaker 2: going to figure out how to figure out the nuances
• 8:45
Speaker 2: with the portal and all that other stuff. So I
• 8:47
Speaker 2: just as far as the state of the game goes
• 8:50
Speaker 2: as much flux as we've talked about it being in
• 8:52
Speaker 2: and what's wrong with it, I think it's headed in
• 8:55
Speaker 2: a good direction, just based on the product on the field,
• 8:57
Speaker 2: which is my biggest concern is what's on the field.
• 9:00
Speaker 2: We got some good play this year. I think next
• 9:02
Speaker 2: year we're gonna have even better play. I think the
• 9:05
Speaker 2: the parody. I had an argument with the guy the
• 9:07
Speaker 2: other day and he was like, oh the sec they're
• 9:09
Speaker 2: done now everybody can pay and this, that and the
• 9:11
  Speaker 2: other and.
• 9:14
  Speaker 3: Laughable.
• 9:15
Speaker 1: Well, and I said.
• 9:16
  Speaker 2: Look, man, I said, I I understand what you're saying.
• 9:20
Speaker 2: I go, you need to understand something I'm not saying.
• 9:22
Speaker 2: The SEC is done. I go, Nick Saban left the building.
• 9:26
Speaker 2: The SEC can pump their chest all they want to.
• 9:29
Speaker 2: Nick Saban won seven national championships. And I said, and
• 9:33
Speaker 2: I said, and and the SEC was smart enough to say, hey,
• 9:36
Speaker 2: let's get on board and build a better conference around this.
• 9:40
Speaker 2: When but Nick Saban left the building, and until you
• 9:43
Speaker 2: showed me who that is, I don't know that we're
• 9:46
Speaker 2: going to have a dominant, overall dominant conference because the best,
• 9:51
Speaker 2: I mean the best to ever do it in my
• 9:53
Speaker 2: lifetime walked out of the room. And I think it's
• 9:57
Speaker 2: made the whole sport come down a little bit flatter level.
• 10:01
  Speaker 1: And I am.
• 10:02
Speaker 2: I am fascinated to see where we're going to be
• 10:04
Speaker 2: two and three and four years, because coaches aren't getting
• 10:08
Speaker 2: you get three years, and you can't get a If
• 10:10
Speaker 2: you're not eight and four and three years or ten
• 10:13
Speaker 2: and two, depending on where you're coaching, you don't have
• 10:16
  Speaker 2: a job anymore.
• 10:17
  Speaker 3: Well, and.
• 10:19
Speaker 4: Mark, I'll say this about you're talking about the guy
• 10:22
Speaker 4: leaving the building and all that, of all the programs
• 10:24
Speaker 4: that are there. You know, the guy that's had the
• 10:26
Speaker 4: most stability. What team has had the most stability? Oh
• 10:30
Speaker 4: hoo of State. Yeah, you got Day there, But then
• 10:35
Speaker 4: he was also on staff during the bulk of the
• 10:37
Speaker 4: urban mayor run. So I mean it's a that is
• 10:42
Speaker 4: a huge factor for them, I believe. And they're one
• 10:46
Speaker 4: of the only teams them in Georgia. Of really all
• 10:50
Speaker 4: the top ranking teams are the only ones that don't
• 10:52
Speaker 4: have coaches that have been there two or three years.
• 10:54
  Speaker 1: Yeah.
• 10:55
Speaker 2: And if you want to talk about a sleeping giant,
• 10:57
Speaker 2: I mean you can go look at Texas. I mean,
• 11:00
Speaker 2: had him here two years in a row. And all
• 11:03
Speaker 2: we've talked about since the back and Brown here ended
• 11:05
Speaker 2: was a culture issue, culture issue of cultures. Well, you
• 11:08
Speaker 2: don't hear that anymore. I mean, those guys are bought in.
• 11:12
Speaker 2: You know, you've got Manning. Manning sat on the bench,
• 11:14
Speaker 2: the highest recruited quarterback in that class, sat on the
• 11:17
Speaker 2: bench for two years at Texas waiting to play. Yeah,
• 11:20
Speaker 2: and you can't get kids to sit on the bench
• 11:23
Speaker 2: for five games now and they're.
• 11:24
  Speaker 1: Ready to transfer.
• 11:26
Speaker 2: And so he's obviously fixed the culture issue within Texas
• 11:29
Speaker 2: because the team plays physical you know they're getting draft
• 11:33
Speaker 2: picks again. I mean all kinds of stuff. So anyway,
• 11:35
Speaker 2: that's where we are in the big state of the game.
• 11:37
Speaker 2: The only every thing I know you want to talk about,
• 11:39
  Speaker 2: because I know.
• 11:39
Speaker 1: You love politics, and Uncle Joe.
• 11:42
Speaker 2: Is retiring come Monday, and on his way out the
• 11:46
Speaker 2: door and all the mess of trying to.
• 11:49
Speaker 1: Get nil and get people.
• 11:51
Speaker 2: Paid and contracts and salaries and how it's gonna work.
• 11:55
Speaker 2: What does Uncle Joe do on his way out the
• 11:57
Speaker 2: door late Thursday night.
• 11:58
Speaker 4: He just goes on and put dynamite on the nil
• 12:02
Speaker 4: and says, well, they're technically breaking the law. It should
• 12:07
Speaker 4: be a Title nine issue. Can you imagine boosters what
• 12:13
Speaker 4: they're gonna say if they if they have to give
• 12:16
Speaker 4: out of a twenty two million dollar kiddy, they got
• 12:18
Speaker 4: to give eleven you know, they got to give a
• 12:20
Speaker 4: ten million of it to female athletes.
• 12:24
Speaker 3: Yeah, let's see how that rolls. I mean, the greatest thing.
• 12:27
Speaker 4: Of this is that administration can't even identify what the
• 12:30
  Speaker 4: woman is.
• 12:31
Speaker 3: That's the best part of the whole deal.
• 12:33
Speaker 4: But from a complete fiasco deal. It'll be fascinating to
• 12:37
Speaker 4: see this wind it's way through the courts, you know,
• 12:40
Speaker 4: to some to some offensive lineman that's sitting around getting
• 12:43
Speaker 4: five hundred bucks a month, be like, I'm trans I need.
• 12:48
Speaker 3: I need to be paid. I need to be paid
• 12:50
Speaker 3: over here with them, you know, because the scholarship numbers
• 12:53
Speaker 3: are so much less.
• 12:55
Speaker 4: If they start getting gigantic dollars like that, the girls
• 12:58
Speaker 4: gonna be the high paid people on campus.
• 13:00
  Speaker 3: It's fabulous.
• 13:01
Speaker 4: He just threw a big, old, just turd bomb right
• 13:05
Speaker 4: in the middle of the college football playoff that is
• 13:09
Speaker 4: going to heat up under the next administration. He's just
• 13:12
Speaker 4: going out flamethrowing and stuff. I just think he wants
• 13:15
Speaker 4: to stay in the news for a while after he's gone.
• 13:18
Speaker 3: That is just a complete disaster for every college out there.
• 13:23
  Speaker 3: Complete disaster.
• 13:26
Speaker 2: He's totally Ron Burgundy. It was on the teleprompter and
• 13:30
Speaker 2: he just read it. He has no idea what he's
• 13:32
Speaker 2: talking about all this stuff. It's like San Diego also
• 13:36
  Speaker 2: means Wales Vagina.
• 13:38
Speaker 1: He has no idea what he's talking about at this point. Yeah, yes,
• 13:41
Speaker 1: it's funny. If you want to see women get paid
• 13:44
  Speaker 1: to play sports.
• 13:46
Speaker 2: Tune into the Texas Tech Foo softball team here in
• 13:48
Speaker 2: a couple of weeks when the season starts they got
• 13:50
Speaker 2: over two million dollars invested in that roster this season alone,
• 13:54
Speaker 2: the pitcher's making one point two million dollars. That's exactly
• 13:58
Speaker 2: a million dollars. It's crazy, all right, Scotty, let me
• 14:03
Speaker 2: break Let me break this game down.
• 14:04
Speaker 1: See what we're gonna do. Line's been out there for
• 14:08
  Speaker 1: a while.
• 14:09
Speaker 2: Hang on, let me pull up the most current numbers
• 14:11
Speaker 2: that you got. Current numbers on Draftking have. Ohio State
• 14:15
Speaker 2: is an eight and a half point favorite over Unders
• 14:18
Speaker 2: at forty six and a half.
• 14:20
Speaker 1: Ohio State's a minus three sixty on the money line,
• 14:22
  Speaker 1: whereas Notre.
• 14:23
Speaker 2: Dame is a plus two to eighty five. I'll give
• 14:26
Speaker 2: you some breakdowns. You've got your big ticket on Notre Dame.
• 14:29
Speaker 2: You can talk about how you're gonna play it versus
• 14:31
Speaker 2: how you're gonna bet the game. Straight up, When you
• 14:34
Speaker 2: look at this game, and I've gone back and watched
• 14:35
Speaker 2: the semifinals a couple of times, in both situations, you know,
• 14:39
Speaker 2: the one thing I can tell you we are going
• 14:41
Speaker 2: to see is physicality.
• 14:42
Speaker 1: For both of these teams, both.
• 14:44
Speaker 2: Very physical in the trench, both want to run the ball.
• 14:48
Speaker 2: But I think you know, if you look at this
• 14:51
Speaker 2: Ohio State. They did come out running counter at the
• 14:53
Speaker 2: beginning of that last game, switch back to a power.
• 14:56
Speaker 2: But what Texas did that I thought was incredible. I mean,
• 15:00
Speaker 2: in that game and right up until the end, the
• 15:03
Speaker 2: score doesn't should pick that, but you've got the Trevion
• 15:06
Speaker 2: Henderson's screenplay that breaks off right before half, and you've
• 15:10
Speaker 2: got the scoop fumble that's fourteen points and that has
• 15:12
Speaker 2: to the difference in the game. What Texas did that
• 15:16
Speaker 2: was interesting to me was is and Chip Kelly addressed
• 15:18
Speaker 2: if they rolled their coverage to Jeremiah Smith every play,
• 15:22
Speaker 2: and that was the reason he was invisible in that game.
• 15:24
Speaker 1: You didn't see him.
• 15:26
Speaker 2: They made them beat them with their other tools. Now
• 15:29
Speaker 2: where that's interesting. Come Monday night is Notre Dame plays
• 15:33
Speaker 2: the fourth highest percentage of man coverage in the country.
• 15:36
Speaker 2: Al Golden is not scared to put those corners on
• 15:38
Speaker 2: the edge. They are good and he will leave them
• 15:41
Speaker 2: out there on the island and see if they can go.
• 15:45
Speaker 2: If they do that, I think Ohio State blows them
• 15:48
Speaker 2: out because I think Jeremiah Smith, Mecha BUCA are going
• 15:52
Speaker 2: to cause problems. And then I think you'll see the
• 15:55
Speaker 2: wheel routes start to open up things like that because
• 15:57
Speaker 2: there's some injuries on that Notre Dame defense.
• 16:00
Speaker 1: If they come out Monday night and.
• 16:02
Speaker 2: They're running zone and you can kind of see it,
• 16:05
Speaker 2: I think they can hang around in this game. And
• 16:08
Speaker 2: then I won't be surprised if you don't see Al
• 16:10
Speaker 2: Golden's flop to a zone, into that hard band and
• 16:13
Speaker 2: take some shots being like, we're gonna get a sack here,
• 16:16
Speaker 2: We're gonna stifle the drive, and that's what we're gonna
• 16:19
Speaker 2: have to do because Notre Dame's defense. To me, it
• 16:22
Speaker 2: seems like I anticipate Ohio State doing something similar to
• 16:27
Speaker 2: what we saw Penn State do when they put tempo in.
• 16:30
Speaker 2: Remember in the second half, when Penn State came out
• 16:32
Speaker 2: and they got Notre Dame on their heels and they
• 16:34
Speaker 2: started running tempo. Notre Dame really struggled through that, and
• 16:38
Speaker 2: I was kind of surprised that Penn State didn't go
• 16:40
Speaker 2: back to it more and more and try to execute.
• 16:42
Speaker 2: So I anticipate a very physical game. I think Ohio
• 16:46
Speaker 2: State will bix it's tempo. I think they're gonna wait
• 16:49
Speaker 2: and see what kind of defense they're gonna get, and
• 16:51
  Speaker 2: I think they'll.
• 16:52
  Speaker 1: Adjust to that.
• 16:54
  Speaker 2: I don't have a play in this game, but I
• 16:56
Speaker 2: would lean to Ohio State covering the game a half.
• 16:59
  Speaker 3: I don't. I totally think they're going to cover the
• 17:02
Speaker 3: eight and a half.
• 17:04
Speaker 4: The difference is I think they're going especially with the
• 17:08
Speaker 4: injuries up front for Notre Dame, because the injuries are
• 17:11
Speaker 4: starting to pile pile up offensive land. Defensively, uh, along
• 17:15
Speaker 4: that defensive line, they're beat up. I think Ohio State's
• 17:18
Speaker 4: gonna be able to control the line of scrimmage, but
• 17:20
Speaker 4: I certainly think they're going to be be able to
• 17:23
Speaker 4: do it on the defensive side of the ball, which
• 17:25
Speaker 4: is going to let them move people around. Leonard likes
• 17:29
Speaker 4: to run the football. I think that this can be
• 17:32
Speaker 4: a tough, tough situation for them. They're gonna have to
• 17:35
Speaker 4: throw the football with their wide receivers if they're if
• 17:39
Speaker 4: they're going to score enough points, I think to keep up.
• 17:42
Speaker 3: I don't know if they're gonna be able to do that.
• 17:44
Speaker 4: I think on the flip side, I think it all
• 17:47
Speaker 4: comes down to Howard for Ohio State. He's got to
• 17:50
Speaker 4: be disciplined because there's no way that al Golden can think,
• 17:54
Speaker 4: you know, I can I can come out and I
• 17:57
Speaker 4: can play man to man NonStop. There's no way he
• 18:00
Speaker 4: and think this watching this on film. They are so
• 18:03
Speaker 4: good athletically, but more importantly, look, you just saw Trevion
• 18:07
Speaker 4: Henderson house it on a wheel route. Man, you can't
• 18:12
Speaker 4: do it again. You start playing all kinds of man
• 18:15
Speaker 4: to man. They got waters, they got running backs that
• 18:17
Speaker 4: can beat you too, So I mean.
• 18:18
Speaker 3: It's a I just think they've got to be more disciplined.
• 18:22
Speaker 4: But they are definitely gonna have to take shots if
• 18:25
Speaker 4: they're going to stop drives, which puts it on Howard
• 18:28
Speaker 4: to recognize, Hey, they're in Man, Hey, I've got my shot,
• 18:33
Speaker 4: and I've got to take it. Can he stand in
• 18:36
Speaker 4: the pocket long enough? Because that Ohio State offensive line
• 18:38
Speaker 4: the last three ball games has been outstanding, And I
• 18:42
Speaker 4: just think it is I just think it's all up
• 18:45
  Speaker 4: to him.
• 18:45
Speaker 3: It's disciplined enough to stay with it.
• 18:49
Speaker 4: And continue to run and when he gets shots, take
• 18:53
Speaker 4: it and complete them.
• 18:54
Speaker 3: That's the key. And so I think it's all on him.
• 18:57
Speaker 4: Those few shots that they tried, it's Michigan they couldn't do.
• 19:02
  Speaker 4: I think they're going to very I think they're going
• 19:04
Speaker 4: to try to run a similar game plan to what
• 19:06
Speaker 4: Michigan tried to do, and I think probably incorporate some
• 19:10
Speaker 4: of what Texas did, because candidly, that's that's the two
• 19:14
Speaker 4: best jobs that anybody's done against them all year, and
• 19:17
Speaker 4: it's not close. And so I think they have to
• 19:20
Speaker 4: fall some into that game plan and hope that their
• 19:23
Speaker 4: front seven can hold up long enough keep this game close.
• 19:26
Speaker 4: If it gets it, hosts Ohio State scores twenty eight,
• 19:30
Speaker 4: they win this game, and they win it, they cover easy.
• 19:32
Speaker 4: That's the bottom line. Because I don't think that Notre
• 19:35
  Speaker 4: Dame can score twenty I don't. I don't think they
• 19:38
Speaker 4: can do it. This has got to be a low
• 19:40
Speaker 4: scoring game for them to stay in the football game.
• 19:42
Speaker 3: I just think Ohio State team's too talented.
• 19:45
Speaker 4: To hold that, to hold on that short of a
• 19:48
Speaker 4: number on a turf field, with the with everything, you know,
• 19:51
Speaker 4: the condition's perfect, I think they're too talented for that.
• 19:56
Speaker 1: Yeah, I do too.
• 19:57
Speaker 2: I think the game could start pretty quick too. I'm
• 20:00
Speaker 2: interested to see what kind of shots you're going to take.
• 20:03
Speaker 4: Looking at a couple of great Mark, we're talking about him.
• 20:06
Speaker 4: I'm saying it's on his shoulders. He's been great these
• 20:09
Speaker 4: last couple of games. I mean, played really really well,
• 20:13
Speaker 4: and it's not like he hadn't taken a lot of snaps.
• 20:15
Speaker 3: So I just, you know, like I said, I think
• 20:17
Speaker 3: it has on him.
• 20:19
  Speaker 2: Uh.
• 20:19
Speaker 4: They are certainly an eight and a half points better team.
• 20:23
Speaker 4: So anyway, owned to some other some other bets, I've.
• 20:27
Speaker 1: Got three that I really like. A couple of props
• 20:29
Speaker 1: in a team total.
• 20:30
Speaker 2: I like team total looks like you're looking at about
• 20:32
Speaker 2: a minus one twenty to minus one thirty on Ohio
• 20:35
Speaker 2: State over twenty seven and a half.
• 20:38
  Speaker 1: I think that's a number they're going to be able
• 20:40
Speaker 1: to hit here. The other one I like, I like
• 20:43
Speaker 1: a mega Buca over.
• 20:45
Speaker 2: Sixty yards receiving. You can get that at minus one
• 20:48
Speaker 2: ten at DraftKings is available. I think that with Jeremiah
• 20:52
Speaker 2: Smith that I just anticipate they're going to try to
• 20:56
Speaker 2: cover him up and keep him out and his prop
• 20:58
Speaker 2: totals at Nainetier, which is pretty high if you're trying
• 21:02
Speaker 2: to bet that at one ten.
• 21:03
  Speaker 1: I think Abuca could And I think a Buka's.
• 21:06
Speaker 2: Got the chance to set a couple of records in
• 21:07
Speaker 2: this game too, So I like Abuka over sixty yard receiving.
• 21:11
  Speaker 1: I also like.
• 21:12
Speaker 2: Abuka anytime touchdown at minus won ten, and then the
• 21:16
  Speaker 2: other one.
• 21:16
Speaker 4: I like, I love him anytime touchdown, love him on
• 21:22
  Speaker 4: anytime touchdown.
• 21:24
Speaker 2: And I like Riley Leonard over forty yards rushing in
• 21:28
Speaker 2: this game, which you can get at one ten of
• 21:31
Speaker 2: a lot of books, just because I think he's gonna
• 21:36
Speaker 2: end up having to carry this off manse. I mean
• 21:37
Speaker 2: I will not be surprised one bit if he doesn't
• 21:40
Speaker 2: have a really long broken run where it's a pass play.
• 21:44
Speaker 1: It's not there and he just takes off.
• 21:46
Speaker 2: Yeah, once he's rolling, he's fast, and I mean, hell,
• 21:51
Speaker 2: you can get a Will Howard minus won ten over
• 21:54
Speaker 2: eleven yard rushing. I mean, if we saw they called
• 21:56
Speaker 2: that play in the Texas game with that power, he
• 21:59
Speaker 2: just script and fell over. But you got to keep
• 22:02
Speaker 2: in mind too, if you're taking the Riley Lennard prop,
• 22:04
Speaker 2: you got sacks, yeah, which is not in the NFL.
• 22:07
Speaker 1: But that's the only reason have it betting yet. But
• 22:10
  Speaker 1: Mecca Buca, anytime.
• 22:12
Speaker 2: Touchdown over sixty yards in high of state over twenty
• 22:16
Speaker 2: seven a half points, they're probably gonna be the three
• 22:18
Speaker 2: best I'm gonna put in my pocket.
• 22:19
Speaker 4: But the Travion Henderson first touchdown is is an interesting number.
• 22:25
Speaker 4: But I honestly because I love that. I think that
• 22:31
Speaker 4: guy is really what makes them go. But down on
• 22:33
Speaker 4: the goal line they have been they've been trading backside
• 22:36
Speaker 4: a little bit, so you might find some you might
• 22:40
Speaker 4: find some value, you know, changing to the other running
• 22:44
Speaker 4: back and saying, hey, you know it's you know you
• 22:47
  Speaker 4: do you.
• 22:48
  Speaker 3: Do it there?
• 22:48
Speaker 4: Because there's a big there's a really big number on him.
• 22:51
Speaker 4: I think his last time I looked, I think it
• 22:54
Speaker 4: was like, what that isn't it like plus two point
• 22:56
Speaker 4: thirty or something like that?
• 22:59
  Speaker 1: First TD score.
• 23:01
Speaker 4: Yeah, first team, first TV scored by not Henderson, But
• 23:06
Speaker 4: why am I going Bray Dickins, Judkins.
• 23:08
Speaker 1: Judkins, both of those guys.
• 23:10
Speaker 2: If the first TV scorers, Trevion is plus five fifty,
• 23:14
Speaker 2: quish On is plus five hundred.
• 23:16
  Speaker 4: Yeah, So I mean I think that's a I think
• 23:18
Speaker 4: that's a really good number on either one of those guys,
• 23:20
Speaker 4: because that is a I mean, you don't have to
• 23:21
Speaker 4: put much down to really to really win some money.
• 23:25
Speaker 1: Yeah no, well hell you could. You could even put.
• 23:28
Speaker 2: It in a Mecca Travion and a quish On and all
• 23:31
Speaker 2: for one hundred bucks keep your fingers crossed and one
• 23:34
Speaker 2: of them hits, you're still going to profit a couple
• 23:35
Speaker 2: hundred dollars. Yeah, so yeah, I mean, I've been been
• 23:38
  Speaker 2: I'm I think it's a great game. I'm really looking
• 23:41
Speaker 2: forward to it. I am have a physicality. Sad to
• 23:44
Speaker 2: say Notre Dame. Some of their offensive and defensive line
• 23:47
Speaker 2: injuries I think could play a part in this game.
• 23:50
Speaker 1: But I think you're going to get their best effort
• 23:53
  Speaker 1: top to bottom.
• 23:54
Speaker 2: I think Notre Dame is so well coached, and I.
• 23:57
Speaker 4: Hate the team with destiny talk, but if anybody's got it,
• 24:02
Speaker 4: it certainly feels like them. I mean, it really does,
• 24:05
Speaker 4: because honestly, I don't know, Well, they weren't more talented
• 24:09
Speaker 4: than the team they beat last week, and I don't
• 24:13
Speaker 4: know that they've been more talent. They certainly weren't more
• 24:16
Speaker 4: talented than Georgia, and they figured out how to win
• 24:19
Speaker 4: both those games. Can they do it again? I mean
• 24:21
Speaker 4: that seems like an awfully upfield paddle, but man, it
• 24:24
Speaker 4: does have that. It has a weird feel to this
• 24:28
  Speaker 4: Notre Dame team.
• 24:31
Speaker 1: Well, we're gonna find out Monday night. Scotty. It's been
• 24:34
Speaker 1: a good season. We cashed out. I'm up fifteen units
• 24:37
Speaker 1: on my college plays for the year. Hopefully we can
• 24:39
Speaker 1: put a few more in our pockets. Scott and I
• 24:42
Speaker 1: will circle back to you after the National Championship.
• 24:44
Speaker 2: We're gonna try to do small season podcast this year,
• 24:47
Speaker 2: just because the college football world never seems to end.
• 24:50
Speaker 1: We can talk about some portal news and they're gonna
• 24:53
Speaker 1: right after the Super Bowl closes.
• 24:55
Speaker 2: You're gonna go ahead and get some lines that are
• 24:57
Speaker 2: already out there for next year's national championship, and so.
• 25:01
Speaker 1: It never stops. College football is the best. Hit us up.
• 25:05
Speaker 2: Give us a light, give us a smash, put us
• 25:07
  Speaker 2: a review if you've got a couple this year. I
• 25:09
Speaker 2: appreciate all that. Everybody travels safe, enjoy the weekend
• 25:13
Speaker 1: And we'll talk to you next time.
