- 0:09happen to be a farmer. This is my chicken coop and I
- 0:12come out here every. Day to.

- 0:17possibilities, new ways of thinking, and just bring some.
- 0:20Joy into the world, so welcome to the.
- 0:22Coop and let's start your day off in a fantastic way.
- 0:27Hey everybody. Good morning from the chicken
- 0:29coop. Well, actually.
- 0:30I've paced out of the chicken coop area and I.
- 0:32Am over. By the pond looking at.
- 0:36Flowers and things and how they did.
- 0:38Overnight and. What this is a really?
- 0:41Hard time for me this time of year.
- 0:44Because I know. Where I planted things.
- 0:47And I know some of them disappeared over the winter.
- 0:50I don't know if they died off because we had.
- 0:53Snow and we don't normally have snow, I'm not sure, but.
- 0:56The unknown is a very big factor.
- 0:59Right now. So as I walk around and I wait.
- 1:01I have all. These plans in my head.
- 1:03About. Going and buying more flowers
- 1:06and repopulating I'm. Starting the second trays of
- 1:08flowers this week in. The garage.
- 1:10I've got some planted in the. Flower garden for cutting.
- 1:14And then I've got some that I want to plant just to plant so.
- 1:18That that's the second way of going.
- 1:20In and then I'm I always go out and I buy things that are grown
- 1:23and ready to go and I will plant those around the edge of the
- 1:26pond this year. We have this big.
- 1:28Plan about doing well. I have the big plan about
- 1:32putting. So.
- 1:33Much milkweed. All over the property.
- 1:35So I'm starting another. Tray of milkweeds that can go
- 1:39out. And I am just saturating.
- 1:41The place with the possibility of being.
- 1:44A restaurant. Feeding station.
- 1:46For as many butterflies and pollinators as I possibly can,
- 1:50and. This is a.
- 1:52This is a process for me that requires trust.
- 1:55And requires me to not try to be in control of it constantly and.
- 2:01It's a hard process. Let me just say that.
- 2:03It's a very hard process for me because the weather.
- 2:08Is not always like clockwork, so I can't say, oh, on April 30th,
- 2:12I know everything's going to be up by then or, you know, I know
- 2:16it's all going to. Show me that it's.
- 2:18It's making strides and it's all going to work.
- 2:20That doesn't work that way and I can't stand that.
- 2:23My certainty, girl. Really, Really.
- 2:26Struggles with that stuff so I have to.
- 2:28Be patient. And in my patients, one of the
- 2:31things that I've learned. Is that?
- 2:33When I don't feel patient. When I can't seem to dig up my
- 2:37patients. I I really.
- 2:39Work hard on telling myself. Oh, it's going to be a surprise.
- 2:42So I. I wait and I.
- 2:45Give myself the little clues about.
- 2:47I'm going to get to. See it?
- 2:48Soon arriving any moment, just like me seeing all the
- 2:52hummingbirds come back and setting up things that are
- 2:55different, I get. Excited about it, so I tried.
- 2:57To. Give myself the ability to be
- 2:59surprised. By things like you might be
- 3:01hearing this little ticking off in the background.
- 3:05That happens to be a woodpecker, A redheaded woodpecker that we
- 3:09have actually. Is he redheaded?
- 3:11Well, here's the. Crazy thing.
- 3:13He's a red. He's got redhead, but he's
- 3:16actually a red belly woodpecker, so I'd go figure.
- 3:18Why they don't call him the Redheaded Woodpecker?
- 3:20Because the redheaded woodpecker.
- 3:21Looks different than him. It's.
- 3:23Really crazy. But anyway, setting setting up
- 3:27all these little things that surprise.
- 3:29Me like. I put something out, a different
- 3:31birdbath, hoping. That he would actually show.
- 3:33Up here. And he is.
- 3:35He's going to. This so.
- 3:36Keeping myself. Surprised.
- 3:38By results and experimenting constantly.
- 3:41Really does. Give me the.
- 3:44Ability to shift out of. Needing patients to being
- 3:48excited about different outcomes, different things.
- 3:51I'm waiting for now, I may. Be surprised by the fact that.
- 3:55You know, something doesn't come up, but I'm still using a
- 3:58different word around it. Again this.
- 4:00Is about. Reframing everything to a better
- 4:03thing instead of just being like impatient or like in
- 4:06anticipation constantly. They're both not healthy to stay
- 4:11in for a very. Long period of time but excited.
- 4:14Oh. That's a good one to stay in and
- 4:15I am genuinely excited to. See what happens with.
- 4:19The milkweed that we've planted, I mean this the number of plants
- 4:23that we. Have out here if they all take
- 4:25off. Could be tremendous, and it
- 4:27could. Be a huge shift.
- 4:28In just. The ecology of what's?
- 4:31Happening around the pond and what it brings in.
- 4:35We have a full very excited about the fact that we have a
- 4:39full force. Of dragonflies out already can't
- 4:43begin to tell you what joy that brings to me.
- 4:45And excitement because we have all different colors and they
- 4:49are stunning when they're all out and they're working in force
- 4:52to get rid of mosquito larvae and mosquitoes and everything
- 4:55else. It's it's it's delightful in
- 4:57every. Way possible.
- 4:59So maintaining a piece. Of that.
- 5:02Consciousness of saying I'm going to focus on excitement
- 5:06instead and of focusing on being, you know, anxious about
- 5:11something not showing up is a great.
- 5:12Shift to look for SO. Work on that.
- 5:15Try to pull that into your life and say, you know what?
- 5:17Instead of sitting here and being impatient and dreading or,
- 5:21you know, arguing for what might not work, do it the other way.
- 5:26Turn it around and say I'm excited to.
- 5:29See exactly what shows up. Every single day.
- 5:33All right, my friends, I hope you.
- 5:34Have a. Blessed day and I will see you
- 5:36tomorrow. Bye.
