- 1:45Speaker 2: of course we hope she's everything's okay and she's doing
- 1:47Speaker 2: great and uh just needs to be there for a
- 1:50Speaker 2: mom's absolutely, so hopefully we'll see her on Monday, but
- 1:53Speaker 2: if not, we won't it's that simple. She's got to
- 1:55Speaker 2: be there for a mother. There. You know, you started
- 1:58Speaker 2: it off with the mob still got it? Yeah, boy,
- 2:01Speaker 2: what a crazy story that is. I mean, of course
- 2:03Speaker 2: we're talking about the NBA gambling controversy that's going on
- 2:07Speaker 2: right now with I didn't realize that Chauncey Billups was
- 2:10Speaker 2: in the NBA Hall of Fame.
- 2:12Speaker 4: Yeah, and the NBA champions starting point guard of the
- 2:17Speaker 4: second round of Famous Pistons that took down the Lakers.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Yeah. Not familiar with the other guy, the heat player,
- 2:22Speaker 2: But I mean they're like a dozen or a few
- 2:24Speaker 2: dozen actually involved with this thing. And what we're talking
- 2:27Speaker 2: about is that gambling ring, the rig poker games and
- 2:30Speaker 2: some other stuff as well, right Weren't wasn't Billups giving
- 2:32Speaker 2: gamblers heads up on who and what he was playing
- 2:35Speaker 2: and during games?
- 2:37Speaker 5: I don't know about that. I know one player was
- 2:42Speaker 5: giving information on and he was underperforming and they were
- 2:46Speaker 5: betting on his personal defeats. He's like, I'll be coming
- 2:50Speaker 5: out early.
- 2:50Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, you know. And so when you know that,
- 2:53Speaker 2: then you know, because.
- 2:54Speaker 5: You can bet the betting line on individual players sure
- 2:58Speaker 5: on what they're going to do, So you just bet
- 3:00Speaker 5: that he'll underperform.
- 3:01Speaker 2: That night, right, and they were making bank Yeah, yeah,
- 3:04Speaker 2: seven point one million dollars during the poker scam. And
- 3:08Speaker 2: the funny thing is is, you know, the poker world
- 3:11Speaker 2: has a few really popular stars. The two that most
- 3:14Speaker 2: people know about are Daniel Legrandu and Phil Ivy. Those
- 3:18Speaker 2: are the two most popular poker players that are like
- 3:20Speaker 2: professional poker players, but they're for people who love the game.
- 3:23Speaker 2: There are a number of very very good players out
- 3:26Speaker 2: there that you'll never really hear about because they do
- 3:28Speaker 2: play on TV some but mostly they're playing in these
- 3:32Speaker 2: gigantic cash games out in Vegas as professionals. And one
- 3:36Speaker 2: of those guys a guy named Matt Matt Burke, who
- 3:38Speaker 2: I think is the best player alive right now. He
- 3:41Speaker 2: actually told a story in twenty twenty three on a
- 3:44Speaker 2: podcast it's now making the rounds of how he knew
- 3:47Speaker 2: that Chauncey Billups card game was was no good. He
- 3:51Speaker 2: knew it like they knew it two years ago, that
- 3:54Speaker 2: this card game that Chauncey Billups would handle. And he
- 3:56Speaker 2: mentions him by name on the podcast. What does he
- 3:59Speaker 2: say in the podcast?
- 4:01Speaker 5: What's interesting is I'm assuming that the poker player didn't
- 4:05Speaker 5: know that the game itself was mob organized.
- 4:08Speaker 2: See I don't know if he knew it was mob organized.
- 4:10Speaker 2: What he said was, I knew it wasn't on the
- 4:12Speaker 2: up and up, He goes, I know pros that would
- 4:15Speaker 2: go in there and they would get absolutely crushed because
- 4:18Speaker 2: the card shufflers knew who to give what to what.
- 4:22Speaker 2: So again, this is a little inside talk when it
- 4:24Speaker 2: comes to the game of poker, but in Texas, hold him,
- 4:26Speaker 2: a gut shot straight draw means like you have four
- 4:29Speaker 2: or five in your hand and the board has seven
- 4:32Speaker 2: to eight on the board. You need a six to
- 4:34Speaker 2: make your straight That's called a gut shot straight draw.
- 4:37Speaker 2: It's a really unlikely hand, but if you do hit it,
- 4:40Speaker 2: usually you get paid pretty well. Because you know, people
- 4:43Speaker 2: who are at big pears or maybe there's an ace
- 4:45Speaker 2: on the board, they'll start betting like crazy. And he
- 4:47Speaker 2: would tell you that, you know, you'd see guys who
- 4:49Speaker 2: had no idea how to play the game, just draw
- 4:52Speaker 2: to these miraculous out cards and destroy pros. To the
- 4:56Speaker 2: tune of like one of these guys I think lost
- 4:58Speaker 2: like one point eight million dollars, saying that there was
- 5:01Speaker 2: the shoe, the shuffler was one way they were manipulating cards.
- 5:05Speaker 5: Also, they had you know, something on the cards that
- 5:09Speaker 5: with special glasses, sunglasses or contacts that they could see
- 5:14Speaker 5: identify cards.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Right because the light system I guess in the room
- 5:17Speaker 2: would also illuminate where the cards were or what they
- 5:19Speaker 2: were or something. I heard that, and of course, I mean,
- 5:22Speaker 2: you know, look, I mean half the game of poker
- 5:24Speaker 2: is you know, bluffing and lying, and if people know
- 5:26Speaker 2: what you have in your hand, you know they're not
- 5:28Speaker 2: going to yah. Yeah, it makes the game impossible to win.
- 5:32Speaker 2: But that was just one aspect of it. And then
- 5:33Speaker 2: of course the the you know, the gambling thing. I
- 5:35Speaker 2: got another story, but the hard rock bets thing. I
- 5:37Speaker 2: was just telling Ross. Yesterday was Code Black's birthday, right, Yes,
- 5:41Speaker 2: So we went to dinner last night, which is me
- 5:43Speaker 2: and go Black and our wives, and he was He
- 5:46Speaker 2: told me he had a repair on his house he
- 5:48Speaker 2: had to do that cost him some money, and he goes,
- 5:50Speaker 2: I wanted to go in and place a bet on
- 5:52Speaker 2: my hard rock bet app and see if I can
- 5:54Speaker 2: make up the money that the repair costs. Oh geez, right,
- 5:57Speaker 2: and he did. He best. The way to live, right,
- 6:00Speaker 2: it is that's how you do it, I envied, but
- 6:02Speaker 2: he he didn't. He wants to give good money. Well,
- 6:05Speaker 2: then he went back on to bet another time, like
- 6:08Speaker 2: the next day, I believe, and the hard Rock Bet
- 6:11Speaker 2: shut him out and they said, no, your your account's
- 6:13Speaker 2: been suspended. Now check this out. This is this is
- 6:16Speaker 2: what he told me last night. He called them to
- 6:18Speaker 2: find out what was going on, or he tried to
- 6:19Speaker 2: email them find out what's going on, and they said, well,
- 6:22Speaker 2: for you to continue gambling, you have to prove to
- 6:25Speaker 2: us where the money's coming from that you're gambling with. Ah.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Then they asked him for bank statements, W two's proof
- 6:34Speaker 2: of employment. Like they started asking this and he said
- 6:39Speaker 2: if they if I don't give them this information, they're
- 6:42Speaker 2: not going to let me play on the app anymore. Wow,
- 6:46Speaker 2: have you heard of that?
- 6:47Speaker 5: No, you gotta win a lot to be in that
- 6:50Speaker 5: to have that problem, or.
- 6:51Speaker 2: Win or lose a lot, I mean win or gamble
- 6:53Speaker 2: a lot.
- 6:54Speaker 3: Right.
- 6:54Speaker 5: We Actually, when you lose a lot, they don't ask
- 6:57Speaker 5: you many questions as long as you have the money.
- 7:00Speaker 5: You know, when you don't have the money then becomes
- 7:02Speaker 5: a problem.
- 7:03Speaker 2: So this is the conversation we get into a while
- 7:05Speaker 2: back before, like, you know, does Vegas or do dealers
- 7:08Speaker 2: at a casino have an obligation to kind of protect
- 7:12Speaker 2: you from yourselves? And remember we were paralleling it with
- 7:14Speaker 2: bartenders right right, and they're like, no, it's not the
- 7:17Speaker 2: same thing. I said, well, it's kind of the same
- 7:19Speaker 2: thing about I think it is this the guy comes
- 7:21Speaker 2: in and he starts dropping one hundred K a day,
- 7:24Speaker 2: you know, and and they don't stop him. I mean,
- 7:26Speaker 2: are they are they kind of? I mean they're both
- 7:29Speaker 2: addictive activities, yes, and and it says, I mean they
- 7:33Speaker 2: they abide by a law that says that they have
- 7:36Speaker 2: to read these hey, you know, gambling anonymous things like
- 7:38Speaker 2: you know, every time you see a hard roug Mets app,
- 7:40Speaker 2: it says, hey, you know, if you have a gambling
- 7:41Speaker 2: problem called one eight hundred whatever, admit it, right, I
- 7:46Speaker 2: used the app. I like the app.
- 7:48Speaker 4: I enjoy a good sports scambal every now and then,
- 7:51Speaker 4: especially if I'm ripping a con of beer at a bar.
- 7:54Speaker 2: Yeah right.
- 7:55Speaker 4: I don't know why, but Hawaiian themed beers go great
- 7:58Speaker 4: with gambling. For ogay, that's good. Heard that interesting, But
- 8:01Speaker 4: I cannot stand seeing post malone on those commercials.
- 8:05Speaker 2: Oh really, you get moved on.
- 8:07Speaker 4: I just it still sticks with what's wrong with post Malone.
- 8:11Speaker 4: I'm fine with post Malone and I'm fine with hard rock.
- 8:13Speaker 4: But when both of those streams crossed, you know what
- 8:16Speaker 4: it was?
- 8:16Speaker 2: What? Wow, I'll tell you what it was. This.
- 8:18Speaker 4: In the commercial, they show like a Joe Shmo that's
- 8:21Speaker 4: like betting like sixty bucks, and you're like, hell yeah,
- 8:24Speaker 4: And then it shows post Malone gambling fifty eight thousand
- 8:29Speaker 4: dollars or something and winning and yeah, and it just
- 8:33Speaker 4: shows you, like celebrity, what celebrities gamble or whatever.
- 8:37Speaker 2: But dude, half the Instagram accounts that I see that
- 8:40Speaker 2: are based around gambling. There's a guy named, uh Matt
- 8:43Speaker 2: the Gambler or something like that, this guy in Vegas,
- 8:45Speaker 2: and he's this older guy and and you'll click onto
- 8:48Speaker 2: a video of his and I'll go, we're gonna we're
- 8:50Speaker 2: gonna bet ten five hundred dollars on one hand of blackjack,
- 8:55Speaker 2: or that's a big thing now, or we're gonna put
- 8:57Speaker 2: five hundred dollars into this one hundred dollars roll per
- 9:00Speaker 2: role sat machine. And those videos are getting millions of views, yea,
- 9:05Speaker 2: because people are living like vicariously through their gambling habits.
- 9:09Speaker 2: And one of them is like with this one guy
- 9:10Speaker 2: specializes in Texas. Hold them the table game because the
- 9:14Speaker 2: one guy does three card. A bunch of them do
- 9:16Speaker 2: back rat, a couple of them do like roulette. But
- 9:19Speaker 2: they have these and all they do is spend tens
- 9:21Speaker 2: of thousands of dollars on gambling hands for the for
- 9:24Speaker 2: the clicks. Yeah, well not just for the clicks. It's
- 9:28Speaker 2: it's yes, for the clicks, yes, but it's.
- 9:31Speaker 4: Not just for the clicks. You know, you're also getting
- 9:34Speaker 4: the experience of gambling. You're also uh, you know, getting
- 9:37Speaker 4: more and more attention. You're also probably now making videos
- 9:41Speaker 4: that make money. Yeah, that is about you losing money,
- 9:45Speaker 4: which is great.
- 9:45Speaker 2: We are winning. For the matter, it doesn't really matter
- 9:47Speaker 2: because we've seen him lose and I've seen him win.
- 9:50Speaker 2: And the funny thing is is he has the same attitude.
- 9:52Speaker 2: This guy can lose like ten k, turn around to
- 9:55Speaker 2: the camera and say, hey, that's how it goes. That's gambling.
- 9:57Speaker 2: Or he can win ten k and go yes, ten
- 10:00Speaker 2: Hey that's how easy it is, and then that's it.
- 10:02Speaker 2: He's unendorsing anything or anything in the entire video is
- 10:04Speaker 2: like forty minutes forty seconds long. That's it.
- 10:06Speaker 4: I mean, they're destroying. Are you shocked by that? Are
- 10:09Speaker 4: you okay with that?
- 10:11Speaker 2: How different? I don't have any problem. But what I'm
- 10:13Speaker 2: saying is is that the idea of gambling, the idea
- 10:16Speaker 2: of it being part of your normal life, is becoming
- 10:18Speaker 2: more and more like normal. I mean back in the day,
- 10:21Speaker 2: like the idea of like going over to Tampa and
- 10:22Speaker 2: gambling for a night, that was a once every two
- 10:24Speaker 2: or three month thing, maybe maybe even twice a year.
- 10:27Speaker 2: That's it going out to Vegas once a year. But
- 10:29Speaker 2: that kind of stuff brings it into your living room
- 10:31Speaker 2: like every single day of your life.
- 10:34Speaker 4: Then you just see host Malone winning someone's salary right right,
- 10:39Speaker 4: oh easily.
- 10:40Speaker 2: And one spin of a one flip of a card,
- 10:42Speaker 2: one whatever.
- 10:43Speaker 4: I guess like twenty years ago that version of that,
- 10:45Speaker 4: because you could still see people gambling, Like I don't know,
- 10:48Speaker 4: it's a great business model when it comes to a
- 10:51Speaker 4: YouTube video of seeing someone gamble, yea in the sense
- 10:54Speaker 4: of like it's very entertaining.
- 10:56Speaker 2: It sees someone win or lose. It is very entertaining.
- 10:59Speaker 2: But real life, let me ask you, so the guys
- 11:02Speaker 2: that lost money in this card game by the way
- 11:04Speaker 2: back by the mob apparently. I mean, do they have
- 11:06Speaker 2: a case? I mean, could they sue him personally for
- 11:10Speaker 2: Jauncey Billups? I mean, he obviously has done okay it
- 11:12Speaker 2: was you know NBA superstar, you know, a Hall of
- 11:15Speaker 2: Fame winner, you know, a ring winner. I don't know
- 11:17Speaker 2: how much money he's got. Now we know that sports
- 11:19Speaker 2: stars sometimes aren't good stewards of their own cash, But
- 11:23Speaker 2: is that guy, since he's the point man, is that
- 11:26Speaker 2: dude liable? Like, could all of those people sue to
- 11:28Speaker 2: get their money back from him?
- 11:29Speaker 5: I was wondering if he got in gambling into a
- 11:34Speaker 5: problem with the mob and they made him do this
- 11:37Speaker 5: to get out of it.
- 11:38Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, that's a total possibility. And or if they jack,
- 11:42Speaker 2: if they just got him compromised. Yeah, in other words,
- 11:44Speaker 2: if he just did the thing one time where he
- 11:47Speaker 2: set a star player for one quarter so somebody can
- 11:49Speaker 2: make a big bet, they've got him. If there's any
- 11:52Speaker 2: correspondence that shows that he said okay, it's done, they've
- 11:55Speaker 2: got him forever. And what was it?
- 11:58Speaker 5: And when Rosson mentioned that about the mob, it was
- 12:00Speaker 5: weird seeing they talked about the families and the families
- 12:04Speaker 5: and they named them all and it's like, just like
- 12:06Speaker 5: you hear in the movies, and do st the movies?
- 12:09Speaker 2: Dude. They already asked Sammy the Bull, like, you know what, hey,
- 12:13Speaker 2: what should these guys do?
- 12:14Speaker 3: You know?
- 12:14Speaker 2: Do you know who Sammy the Bull is? No, Sammy
- 12:16Speaker 2: the Bull Gravano is a guy who is a very
- 12:18Speaker 2: famous mobster. Well he was, and then he kind of
- 12:22Speaker 2: turned and wound up snitching on a bunch of dudes
- 12:25Speaker 2: and then got a bunch of other trouble, went back
- 12:27Speaker 2: to prison and got back out, went back, I guess.
- 12:28Speaker 2: But they ask him every time something comes up, because
- 12:30Speaker 2: he's willing to talk. He's like, look, man, you know,
- 12:33Speaker 2: if this comes down to it, these people who are
- 12:34Speaker 2: involved with this will just take you out. Like they
- 12:37Speaker 2: just take you out, they don't you know, you'll just
- 12:40Speaker 2: not be there one day. Wow. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It
- 12:44Speaker 2: gets thick like that. Seven point four million dollars talks
- 12:48Speaker 2: four oh seven nine one six one o four one.
- 12:50Speaker 2: You know always text us seven seven zero three one.
- 12:52Speaker 3: You know.
- 12:52Speaker 2: None of my kids followed in my footsteps into the
- 12:54Speaker 2: radio business. Good for them. Jackson did not either, a
- 12:57Speaker 2: matter of fact, I think in this entire building, I
- 12:59Speaker 2: know one person who followed his father into the business,
- 13:03Speaker 2: and that's Brian or a Jaden Grimes, who'll be on
- 13:05Speaker 2: with us later today. And I kind of wanted to
- 13:08Speaker 2: wonder talk out loud. If you guys can send talkbacks,
- 13:11Speaker 2: that's fine, But did your kids follow you into their
- 13:14Speaker 2: careers or did you follow your parents into your career?
- 13:17Speaker 2: I gotta find that interesting because we couldn't find any
- 13:20Speaker 2: like talking a lot last night. We couldn't think of
- 13:22Speaker 2: anybody who did that. Like, you know, Code Black is
- 13:25Speaker 2: in the computer business. His kids aren't computer people. One's
- 13:28Speaker 2: a lawyer, and one's up in din'tver not. I forget
- 13:30Speaker 2: what he does. You know, my kids didn't do it
- 13:32Speaker 2: a lot of people, So that used to be a
- 13:34Speaker 2: thing where you would kind of you look at your
- 13:37Speaker 2: parents as the guidance for your career. But that I
- 13:39Speaker 2: don't know if that's around anymore, you know.
- 13:42Speaker 4: I mean I played a lot of golf. My parents were,
- 13:46Speaker 4: you know, they were making money off of golf. But
- 13:48Speaker 4: now I just chug beers and rips cigars. I don't
- 13:51Speaker 4: know if that counts, but I get pretty banged up
- 13:53Speaker 4: on my parent's career.
- 13:55Speaker 2: All right, dollar is your three o'clock keyword, that's d
- 13:57Speaker 2: O L L A R. Go to real Radio dot
- 13:59Speaker 2: FM and s the wait for your chance of a
- 14:01Speaker 2: thousand of.
- 14:01Speaker 5: Those coming up in the news. Offshore drilling could be
- 14:04Speaker 5: coming to Florida. A twenty six year old is going
- 14:08Speaker 5: to prison for life, we'll tell you why.
- 14:10Speaker 2: And Halloween at work.
- 14:12Speaker 5: We got tips those stories and more for JCS news.
- 14:16Speaker 5: Deb Bot one thousand has been recalled.
- 14:20Speaker 2: Did you hear about deb Bot? What did somebody call
- 14:23Speaker 2: you about deb bottery?
- 14:24Speaker 5: No, No, Debbot one thousand, she was a high maintenance work.
- 14:28Speaker 2: You know what ended up happening? It was that deb
- 14:30Speaker 2: Bot dude that oh yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah yeah
- 14:33Speaker 2: I ran off together?
- 14:34Speaker 3: All right?
- 14:35Speaker 2: Back in the second News and more than Jim Colbert shows,
- 14:36Speaker 2: they put.
- 14:42Speaker 6: Hey, now, boys, just what do you think you are doing?
- 14:46Speaker 6: JCS news is my spot. Do you think you can
- 14:49Speaker 6: just show up one day and take over for machines?
- 14:52Speaker 6: You humans make me laugh?
- 14:55Speaker 5: Hau hau hau hau huh.

- 17:17Speaker 3: Wows.
- 17:18Speaker 1: This guy gotta put his name on everything.
- 17:19Speaker 2: It's in my contracted. Here's the news on the Jim
- 17:22Speaker 2: Comer Show.
- 17:24Speaker 4: JCS News is brought to you by Home Loans Radio.
- 17:28Speaker 2: That's right.
- 17:28Speaker 4: If you have any mortgage questions, you got to hit
- 17:30Speaker 4: up that mortgage guy. Don that mortgage guy don dot
- 17:34Speaker 4: com Jack rip it.
- 17:36Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:36Speaker 5: The Trump administration is drafting a plan to open nearly
- 17:40Speaker 5: all US coastal waters offshore oil drilling, and that can
- 17:45Speaker 5: include Florida. The proposal enclose areas in the Southeast Coast
- 17:50Speaker 5: that Trump previously sought to protect, environmentalists warning could threaten
- 17:54Speaker 5: coral reefs and marine habitats. Now, the Interior Department says
- 17:58Speaker 5: all options are on the table the National Energy Emergency.
- 18:02Speaker 5: The plan would replace the Biden ERRA program and face
- 18:05Speaker 5: his opposition from several coastal states.
- 18:08Speaker 2: I'm sure you can imagine.
- 18:10Speaker 5: It's unclear when or if President Trump will approve the draft.
- 18:16Speaker 2: Well.
- 18:16Speaker 4: Also in the news, I have a former Hunters Creek
- 18:19Speaker 4: Middle school teacher has been sentenced to life in prison.
- 18:24Speaker 4: He should have gotten twenty years just for the mugshut
- 18:26Speaker 4: for child to exploitation, that's right. Twenty six year old
- 18:29Speaker 4: Italo Raphael Brett Bonini.
- 18:32Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah.
- 18:33Speaker 4: I mean when your last name is Bonini, I'm assuming
- 18:35Speaker 4: that your first name is it.
- 18:37Speaker 2: Tallo pleaded guilty.
- 18:39Speaker 4: To enticing miners and producing child abuse material.
- 18:42Speaker 2: You know how he did it? No Roadblocks?
- 18:46Speaker 5: Well yeah, it was through discard, but he was using Roadblocks'
- 18:49Speaker 5: money to entice them.
- 18:51Speaker 2: That's right, And that's exactly what we've talked about before,
- 18:53Speaker 2: and that's what we talked about. The head of Robots
- 18:55Speaker 2: Security with about. Was this very this kind of guy. Man,
- 18:58Speaker 2: what an evil looking effort to have you seen his
- 19:00Speaker 2: mud shot? Yeah, oh my god, that guy looks like
- 19:03Speaker 2: a demon.
- 19:04Speaker 5: He told the tactives when he got caught he was
- 19:06Speaker 5: disgusted with himself. He deleted his discords that he was
- 19:09Speaker 5: disgusted with himself. But they said he had tried to
- 19:12Speaker 5: victimize at least twenty other children over the internet.
- 19:17Speaker 4: Dude, it's sid from Toy Story grown up three.
- 19:22Speaker 2: How bad is that mud shot? Imagine someone named Damien
- 19:26Speaker 2: that's him. That's him. Yeah, yeah, wow, Yeah, you're onto
- 19:29Speaker 2: something there.
- 19:30Speaker 5: He had his day in court and someone else who
- 19:32Speaker 5: was in court is Orlando City suspended Orlando City Commissioner
- 19:36Speaker 5: Regina Hill. She appeared briefly in court today, just days
- 19:41Speaker 5: before voters decide her political future. She faces seven felony charges,
- 19:46Speaker 5: including margat trod elder abuse. She had hoped for her
- 19:49Speaker 5: trial before election day, but no data set. Outside court,
- 19:53Speaker 5: Hill said she's confident she'll be vindicated and praised her
- 19:56Speaker 5: record of service. There you go, also, good luck.
- 20:01Speaker 4: Ten people were injured in a crash on Rawleigh Street
- 20:04Speaker 4: late in Orlando late last night, nine children and one woman.
- 20:10Speaker 4: Tripper se a Nissan Ultima carrying the victims was rear
- 20:13Speaker 4: ended by Alpha Romeo by an Alpha Romeo driven by
- 20:17Speaker 4: a twenty nine year old Cassimi man. The impact sent
- 20:20Speaker 4: the Ultima off the road into a tree. Four children
- 20:23Speaker 4: have since been released from the hospital. Five others and
- 20:26Speaker 4: the fifty eight year old woman remains hospitalized but stable.
- 20:30Speaker 4: The Alpha Romeo driver was not hurt and stayed at
- 20:32Speaker 4: the scene. The crash is still under investigation. Okay, hold on,
- 20:36Speaker 4: let's just some math real quick.
- 20:37Speaker 2: Okay, What kind of car was that that had that
- 20:40Speaker 2: got into the wreck where the injuries occurred. Nissan Altima
- 20:43Speaker 2: there was a Nissan Ultima. Yeah, and how many people
- 20:45Speaker 2: were in that car?
- 20:47Speaker 5: Ten the driver and nine kids, which is why we
- 20:52Speaker 5: have this story today. Holy ass, you could fit five
- 20:57Speaker 5: with seatbelts five in that car.
- 21:01Speaker 2: There were ten people all my card. They were literally
- 21:04Speaker 2: one short of a football team, two above the average
- 21:10Speaker 2: clown number. Wow, man, that's crazy. They're lucky, then, Jim, Sir,
- 21:19Speaker 2: Guns and weed? What about them?
- 21:22Speaker 5: Two things that are very popular, two things that probably
- 21:24Speaker 5: should not be mixed. A federal judge has paused a
- 21:28Speaker 5: Florida lawsuit, however, over gun rights for medical marijuana users,
- 21:33Speaker 5: pending a US Supreme Court decision, because there's been questioned
- 21:37Speaker 5: with now, you know, with medical marijuana legal in many states,
- 21:42Speaker 5: can you have a medical marijuana card and still legally
- 21:46Speaker 5: possess a gun? So they're trying to get some clarity
- 21:49Speaker 5: because when you have, like well, with marijuana not being
- 21:53Speaker 5: legal federally, right, there's there's some conflict here. So the
- 21:58Speaker 5: case challenge is a federal law that bars drug users
- 22:02Speaker 5: from owning firearms, even if they're legal medical marijuana patients
- 22:07Speaker 5: under state law. Now, the Supreme Court will hear a
- 22:10Speaker 5: similar case out of Texas, and that could impact the
- 22:13Speaker 5: Florida suit that was originally filed by the former AD
- 22:16Speaker 5: Commissioner Nikki Freed. The Florida case was revived earlier this
- 22:21Speaker 5: year after an appeals court ruled that the government had
- 22:24Speaker 5: not proven that banning gun ownership for marijuana users aligns
- 22:29Speaker 5: with US history and tradition.
- 22:31Speaker 2: Yeah, and it was interesting. I don't know if we
- 22:32Speaker 2: talked about this on Monday as well, when you weren't
- 22:35Speaker 2: here for the when you were here is we were
- 22:37Speaker 2: trying to figure out, like, you know, if Flora, I
- 22:39Speaker 2: think it was Monday in Florida. I mean, you don't
- 22:41Speaker 2: have to you know, they kind of banned all of
- 22:43Speaker 2: that stuff. You don't have to have a concealed carry anymore,
- 22:45Speaker 2: right or you could just carry it anywhere. You don't
- 22:47Speaker 2: have to have a permit. So if that's the case,
- 22:49Speaker 2: then the medical marijuana thing shouldn't come into play because
- 22:53Speaker 2: you don't have to have the card anymore. You don't
- 22:54Speaker 2: have to have concealed carry anymore, because they did away
- 22:56Speaker 2: with all that. Now you have full carry everywhere you go.
- 22:58Speaker 2: Matter of fact, they ruled it un constitutional, did they not.
- 23:01Speaker 2: Didn't they say that, you know, requiring somebody to go
- 23:04Speaker 2: through the process of getting a concealed carry was unconstitutional
- 23:07Speaker 2: because the Second Amendment guaranteed us the right to do so.
- 23:10Speaker 5: Yeah, well, the restricting it was open carry right that
- 23:15Speaker 5: they said it was. You couldn't ban open carry because oh,
- 23:19Speaker 5: I said, they're rolling on that.
- 23:21Speaker 2: But do you have to have a concealed carry permit?
- 23:23Speaker 2: Now you don't have to.
- 23:26Speaker 5: I chose to re up mind, Yeah, just because I
- 23:30Speaker 5: like having it. And it's also you can purchase a
- 23:33Speaker 5: gun without the three day waiting period. Oh yeah, yeah,
- 23:36Speaker 5: there you go, which you could anyone could do it.
- 23:38Speaker 2: An lower the eighth.
- 23:40Speaker 4: There's gonna be medical marijuana card like detectors now at
- 23:44Speaker 4: public's Oh god, he's got a medical marijuana card.
- 23:47Speaker 5: Run run like you get a motorcycle stamp on your license.
- 23:50Speaker 2: You have to get a gun stamp on your medical mode.
- 23:53Speaker 4: Yeah, shake like a gun along Away to makeover is
- 23:57Speaker 4: coming to our Orlando's busy Kareem Drive corridor, But Jim
- 24:02Speaker 4: not everyone's on board. The city plans to reduce lanes,
- 24:04Speaker 4: white and sidewalks, and add landscaping to improve safety and
- 24:08Speaker 4: walk ability. Reduce lanes, yeah yeah, have you seen the
- 24:11Speaker 4: traffic going through that place?
- 24:12Speaker 2: Anytime of the day, like on the weekend. But the sidewalks,
- 24:15Speaker 2: Jim on the sidewalks, Oh my god. They're trying to
- 24:18Speaker 2: reduce traffic, is what they're trying to do.
- 24:19Speaker 4: But some residents and business owners worry about losing parking
- 24:22Speaker 4: and increase congestion. The ten to fifteen million dollar project
- 24:26Speaker 4: could begin in twenty twenty seven and take up to
- 24:29Speaker 4: a decade.
- 24:30Speaker 2: Good and see that's what Isn't that one of those
- 24:33Speaker 2: what is that? Like it it's a national main street
- 24:36Speaker 2: or something like that. What's the word there? There's some
- 24:38Speaker 2: verbage there that some streets in city and cities have
- 24:42Speaker 2: a designation of being like a historic historic main street
- 24:46Speaker 2: kind of thing, and I believe that carin Drive is
- 24:48Speaker 2: one of those. And one of the reasons they wanted
- 24:49Speaker 2: to do this is to beautify it because of that designation.
- 24:53Speaker 2: The problem is the parking down there already sucks, well sucks.
- 24:57Speaker 4: The supporters tend to agree, because they also went on
- 24:59Speaker 4: to say the smorts will make the area safer for
- 25:03Speaker 4: pedestrians and cyclists, while critics fear it could hurt all
- 25:07Speaker 4: the small businesses and emergency access.
- 25:10Speaker 2: Yeah, there's not a problem for pedestrians and bikes in there,
- 25:12Speaker 2: that's a misnomer. I live down there for three years.
- 25:14Speaker 2: There's not a problem at all. People get around just fine.
- 25:16Speaker 2: That's all horse s, that's none of that is true.
- 25:19Speaker 2: I've lived there. I live there in the middle of
- 25:21Speaker 2: Baldwin Park, in the middle of all that, and travel
- 25:23Speaker 2: that road every day of my life twice for three
- 25:25Speaker 2: years and never had one time there'll be a pedestrian
- 25:28Speaker 2: or a bicycle issue, even when they have big events
- 25:32Speaker 2: like down at lou Gardens or down at like ten
- 25:33Speaker 2: ten or all right Easton. Never had a problem with that.
- 25:36Speaker 2: People are always respectful and able to find a place
- 25:38Speaker 2: to go. And the people driving down that road kind
- 25:40Speaker 2: of understand the nature of that area of Orlando. They
- 25:44Speaker 2: maybe want to spend the money, and God bless them,
- 25:46Speaker 2: but I don't know that any of those people really
- 25:48Speaker 2: need that or want that down there. It's trick or
- 25:50Speaker 2: treating cool. Yeah, trick or treating is cool. I wish
- 25:54Speaker 2: I could still go, is it. Yeah?
- 25:56Speaker 5: I don't take talk shows kids calling it lane Jim,
- 26:00Speaker 5: you're not in.
- 26:00Speaker 2: Touch with the kids that you I'm certainly not in
- 26:03Speaker 2: touch with kids, but.
- 26:04Speaker 5: They're hyping up trunk or treating instead, you know, Halloween
- 26:08Speaker 5: talgating so lame. Well, families decorate their cars, hand out
- 26:12Speaker 5: candy and parking lots. Now, it's been around since the nineties,
- 26:17Speaker 5: but it was really COVID where Yeah, trunk or treating
- 26:20Speaker 5: really took off just because of the social distancing and.
- 26:24Speaker 2: You nowhere else. It started as well, churches that didn't
- 26:27Speaker 2: want their kids going out in the neighborhoods and doing
- 26:30Speaker 2: the whole Halloween you know, kind of evil thing. They
- 26:33Speaker 2: started having trunk or treats in the parking lots of
- 26:36Speaker 2: their churches so that kids could not have themselves inundated
- 26:40Speaker 2: into that world. I remember that was a big part
- 26:42Speaker 2: of it as well.
- 26:42Speaker 4: Candy from the back of a car is way scarier
- 26:45Speaker 4: than candy from a house.
- 26:47Speaker 2: I would agree with that, easy, mister Paget.
- 26:49Speaker 5: Supporters say it's safer and more festive and easier for families.
- 26:54Speaker 2: It's not more festive.
- 26:55Speaker 5: Critics say replacing the magic of a neighborhood Halloween nights
- 27:00Speaker 5: is no good, but in many places both traditions coexists.
- 27:04Speaker 2: Yeah. Look, here's the thing going house house was first.
- 27:07Speaker 2: It's anti American to believe that you shouldn't do that.
- 27:10Speaker 2: That's all I'm saying. Why if you believe that you
- 27:12Speaker 2: have tricker treats, it's anti American, the country's trick or treat.
- 27:17Speaker 2: That's a great question. I do not know that. The
- 27:20Speaker 2: question for you, Jim, why can't you trigger treat? Why
- 27:23Speaker 2: can't you do it? Well, I'm fifty seven years old,
- 27:26Speaker 2: and that would be bizarre. I mean I could take
- 27:28Speaker 2: some kids trick or trading. All my kids are thirty.
- 27:30Speaker 4: You are all right, dude. You could be like a
- 27:33Speaker 4: general from the South.
- 27:35Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, no, no, no no, I could not ross.
- 27:38Speaker 2: I appreciate that offer.
- 27:39Speaker 4: Yeah, it'd be ulysses says Culbert or something right, right,
- 27:42Speaker 4: I was e the North.
- 27:43Speaker 2: And you could be by twinking haunt shorts. Yeah yeah, yeah,
- 27:46Speaker 2: I mean it would be cool. It'd be like KFC
- 27:50Speaker 2: and a Twinkie. Nobody would figure it out, That's what
- 27:52Speaker 2: I'm sure. Yeah.
- 27:54Speaker 4: Well, let's keep this Halloween news awe trained chug a
- 27:57Speaker 4: chugging along with hallowek just a week away. Shoppers are
- 28:01Speaker 4: grabbing candy, and this economy, people want valued or their favorites.
- 28:05Speaker 4: But if you're still buying candy corn in twenty twenty five,
- 28:09Speaker 4: you're racist.
- 28:10Speaker 2: Well that's weird. I haven't misread that. No, no, it
- 28:12Speaker 2: doesn't say that.
- 28:13Speaker 4: It says if you're still buying candy corn in twenty
- 28:16Speaker 4: twenty twenty five, you might just be trolling all of
- 28:20Speaker 4: your friends. A new report shows candy corn is the
- 28:23Speaker 4: second worst performer this year.
- 28:25Speaker 2: Ooh, second worst with do you think interest down nine
- 28:30Speaker 2: percent if you had candy corn stock? I'm sorry, Bud,
- 28:33Speaker 2: what do you he thinks worse than candy corn. It's gotta
- 28:35Speaker 2: be like peeps or something like that, right, it's it's
- 28:38Speaker 2: gotta be something like that. You don't see peeps this time? Yeah?
- 28:41Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 28:41Speaker 3: Or whatever?
- 28:42Speaker 2: That the peanuts and what am I talking about?
- 28:44Speaker 1: That?
- 28:44Speaker 2: Circus peanut? What am I talking about?
- 28:46Speaker 5: Circus peanuts would qualify? But something else, isn't it? It is licorice.
- 28:50Speaker 5: It is licoric really.
- 28:52Speaker 4: Licorice takes the bottom spot, dropping thirteen point six percent.
- 28:57Speaker 2: Da here if your licorice ie? You know what, there's
- 29:00Speaker 2: nothing wrong with twizzlers. There's the thing. There should be
- 29:02Speaker 2: no twizzler hate.
- 29:03Speaker 4: Yeah, there's plenty of Twizzler hate coming from the pageant camp.
- 29:07Speaker 2: I hate twizzlers? Do you really. Oh yeah, it hasn't
- 29:10Speaker 2: a flavor. I don't understand it. Like I've been to
- 29:12Speaker 2: a candy there's an old candy store in Saint Augustine.
- 29:14Speaker 2: You're going there and they have like like gourmet like
- 29:17Speaker 2: handmade yeah licorice, and that is a completely different machine.
- 29:21Speaker 2: It's delicious, it's so good, like the soft, really good licorice.
- 29:25Speaker 2: But Twizzler, dude, what is this? I feel like I'm
- 29:28Speaker 2: chewing like a ceiling fan. I'm eating a mouthguard.
- 29:32Speaker 5: Our final story and you shouldn't do this. But for
- 29:37Speaker 5: those of you who feel you must, don't do it.
- 29:40Speaker 5: Don't dress up at work for Halloween. What Because Halloween
- 29:45Speaker 5: is for children, you shouldn't be wearing costumes to work.
- 29:50Speaker 2: It is ridiculous. I have horrible news for you. Then
- 29:52Speaker 2: for some people it's their job.
- 29:54Speaker 5: Well, with it being a week away, if you're planning
- 29:56Speaker 5: to wear a costume, we do have some things for
- 29:59Speaker 5: you to keep in mind.
- 30:00Speaker 2: Okay, First, what.
- 30:01Speaker 5: Do you think you should do if you were gonna
- 30:03Speaker 5: wear costume to your job? Keep in mind not everyone
- 30:07Speaker 5: does the radio. If you were going to wear a
- 30:09Speaker 5: costume to work, what do you think some of the
- 30:10Speaker 5: steps you should take?
- 30:11Speaker 2: Well, you should make sure it's not an offensive costa. Yeah, Like,
- 30:14Speaker 2: if your name is Sam, don't go with Sam Jackson.
- 30:16Speaker 5: So you just came in with number five, the last one. Yeah,
- 30:19Speaker 5: use common sense. This means nothing potentially offensive. Yeah, nothing
- 30:22Speaker 5: offensive like that.
- 30:23Speaker 2: You should probably let people know that you're going to
- 30:25Speaker 2: dress up so that they're properly, properly prepared to see
- 30:29Speaker 2: you as a vampire in a sales meeting. You got
- 30:31Speaker 2: another one.
- 30:32Speaker 4: The question is this offensive? You're a white girl, blonde hair.
- 30:35Speaker 4: You want to go as Malwana? You go with the
- 30:37Speaker 4: spray tan Ooh.
- 30:40Speaker 5: I don't know, dude, But to Jim's point, talk to
- 30:42Speaker 5: your manager or HR first, especially if this is your
- 30:45Speaker 5: first Halloween at your job. You don't want to be
- 30:47Speaker 5: the one person who didn't get the memo about not
- 30:50Speaker 5: dressing up. Oh yeah, make sure the costume doesn't interfere
- 30:53Speaker 5: with your job. You can't sit down or walk easily.
- 30:56Speaker 5: And or if it's going to distract you all day,
- 30:59Speaker 5: pick something out. Check your calendar if you have zoom
- 31:02Speaker 5: meetings or other work commitments that day, either planning around them,
- 31:05Speaker 5: or just don't dress up.
- 31:07Speaker 2: Yeah, my bleeding fang's ruined my work computer.
- 31:11Speaker 5: And bring a change of clothes just in case something
- 31:14Speaker 5: serious happens and you're still wearing a taker belt costume man,
- 31:17Speaker 5: and you have to deal with it.
- 31:20Speaker 2: Like the big buss flies in un announced. Or let's
- 31:23Speaker 2: be grown ups and not dress up for work. Yeah, this.
- 31:29Speaker 8: Chair.
- 31:30Speaker 2: I'm ready for Halloween. Yeah, my wife has been balling out.
- 31:34Speaker 2: Let me ask your children to beg for candy? Would
- 31:36Speaker 2: you come in next Friday if we dressed.
- 31:38Speaker 4: Up as long as like I can bring my family
- 31:41Speaker 4: who's also like my costume is part of their costume.
- 31:45Speaker 2: Oh and that's right. You guys are going trick or
- 31:47Speaker 2: treating that night, or you guy taking miles out?
- 31:48Speaker 6: Uh?
- 31:49Speaker 4: Yeah, but we're gonna go out to like parties and
- 31:50Speaker 4: stuff as long as my family's invited.
- 31:53Speaker 2: Your family's always invited in. Yeah, we're showing up as
- 31:55Speaker 2: a human centipede. Oh my god, disgusting bastard. You are
- 32:01Speaker 2: such a disgusting No, labyrinth labyrinths. We're going I'm David Billie.
- 32:06Speaker 2: Oh wow, that's awesome. What is she gonna be? She's
- 32:10Speaker 2: gonna be the girl? No way? Yeah, yeah, then my
- 32:14Speaker 2: son is the baby. Wow, that's excellent. I know I
- 32:19Speaker 2: saw the wig.
- 32:19Speaker 4: She is going to embarrass me, but I've got tights,
- 32:23Speaker 4: some stage five moose knuckle.
- 32:24Speaker 2: It's a lot. And my daughter is pregnant, so she's
- 32:28Speaker 2: going instead of uh uh, and and she's going as
- 32:31Speaker 2: uh instead of uh. Is it? What is the the sauce,
- 32:35Speaker 2: the sauce, the tomato sauce? Is it prego? Yeah? Yeah,
- 32:39Speaker 2: as prego and her uh daddy, baby mama, daddy, baby daddy.
- 32:45Speaker 2: Daddy was going as a chip boardardy all.
- 32:48Speaker 4: Right, So hear me at what would happen if they
- 32:50Speaker 4: showed up in satin suits and then they had a
- 32:53Speaker 4: wig and glasses and fake goates and then just walked
- 32:56Speaker 4: around to every Halloween party going it's.
- 32:59Speaker 2: My kid and a box. Oh no, dude, Oh I
- 33:04Speaker 2: didn't even I didn't mean that. I was. It sounds
- 33:08Speaker 2: like you meant that. I know I didn't mean the
- 33:10Speaker 2: double and it sounds like you meant that. No wow,
- 33:13Speaker 2: but like man, and then you would have the sixth
- 33:15Speaker 2: thing on that list you shouldn't do. Yeah, don't make joke,
- 33:20Speaker 2: super wow. Yeah, but all right, we gotta go. All right,
- 33:25Speaker 2: I'm okay, I'm serious. For seven went on over one
- 33:29Speaker 2: sinker sailing Mber's only up next.
- 33:31Speaker 1: It's in a box and text your vote for sink

- 33:56Speaker 2: That's right, guys, not for another prime time kitchen with
- 33:58Speaker 2: a buddy. Faiz Kara from The Orlando Weekly. He is

- 34:51Speaker 2: Let me just bring you up on the phone.
- 34:52Speaker 5: Jack, Yeah, we have him on the phone.
- 34:55Speaker 2: There you go, shut it down. Yeah, yeah, How you doing.
- 34:58Speaker 9: Buddy, Yep, listen, I'm doing. I'm doing great. So I
- 35:02Speaker 9: don't know what's going on with the mic, but there's
- 35:04Speaker 9: a lot of a lot of feedback.
- 35:06Speaker 2: Yeah, turn off your volume from the zoom call that's
- 35:09Speaker 2: on your computer.
- 35:11Speaker 9: Okay, give me a second.
- 35:14Speaker 2: There you go, there you go. How's it going, buddy,
- 35:17Speaker 2: it's going great. I am glad, great, glad to hear that.
- 35:22Speaker 9: Big Night tonight, you know, Big Night World series.
- 35:25Speaker 2: Baby, he's a Toronto fan. Well, yeah, of course he's Toronto.
- 35:28Speaker 2: Minutes from the stadium.
- 35:30Speaker 9: I still remember nineteen ninety two and nineteen ninety three.
- 35:33Speaker 9: In nineteen ninety two they won in Atlanta and we
- 35:36Speaker 9: were down back then. They called it the SkyDome, and
- 35:38Speaker 9: I remember we were watching the game inside the stadium
- 35:41Speaker 9: and after the game, it was nuts and we literally
- 35:44Speaker 9: walked from the SkyDome all the way up to Finch
- 35:47Speaker 9: Subway station, which is like, I don't know, it took
- 35:50Speaker 9: us like two hours to walk up there. It was insane.
- 35:53Speaker 9: It was a lot of fun.
- 35:54Speaker 2: I remember a while. I remember that series because I
- 35:57Speaker 2: was a Braves fan. And I remember what John olerud
- 36:00Speaker 2: to us.
- 36:01Speaker 9: Who died three sixty three that year.
- 36:03Speaker 2: Damn sure, dude, that guy killed us that year. John Oler.
- 36:07Speaker 2: It was the first baseman, was he not?
- 36:09Speaker 9: It was got a brain aneurysm too, which is why
- 36:12Speaker 9: he wore the batters.
- 36:13Speaker 2: Of the helmet all the time. Yeah, what a great
- 36:16Speaker 2: series that was.
- 36:18Speaker 9: And this, Yeah, that was a good one. Jane Fonda
- 36:21Speaker 9: and Ted Turner. That's why I remember about that series. Yeah, yeah,
- 36:24Speaker 9: Jane Fonda pring praying. Yeah, this was gonna get great
- 36:28Speaker 9: to the wrong God for that series, and this one's.
- 36:30Speaker 2: Gonna be good as well. I mean, obviously you have
- 36:32Speaker 2: the best baseball player we've seen in a century playing
- 36:35Speaker 2: and uh and of course the Blue Jays are tough
- 36:37Speaker 2: as well, so it should be a really good series.
- 36:39Speaker 2: Who's favored, by the way, I think it will We Dodgers.
- 36:41Speaker 9: Hey, you will be it. It's got the makings of
- 36:43Speaker 9: a classic.
- 36:44Speaker 2: So very good. Well, let's get to it. As like
- 36:46Speaker 2: I said, is the restaurant critic for their on Lando Weekly.
- 36:48Speaker 2: He scoured the entire area. One of the Best Stuff
- 36:50Speaker 2: to Eat does reviews the whole nine yards. Matter of fact,
- 36:52Speaker 2: let's get to it. The review of fifteen thirty five,
- 36:55Speaker 2: or excuse me, Lima fifteen thirty.
- 36:57Speaker 9: Five, Lima fifteen thirty five. Yes, it's a Peruvian restaurant
- 37:02Speaker 9: in the Lake Underhill Plaza right there on the corner
- 37:04Speaker 9: of four thirty six in Lake Underhill. And so okay.
- 37:08Speaker 9: So for the last twenty years, I figured I've reviewed
- 37:12Speaker 9: maybe twelve, maybe fourteen Peruvian restaurants, and in each and
- 37:16Speaker 9: every one of those restaurants, I've sort of like lamented
- 37:19Speaker 9: the fact that they didn't serve my favorite Peruvian dish,
- 37:21Speaker 9: which is a dish called Rokoto reyno, and Lima fifteen
- 37:25Speaker 9: thirty five, there does, and which is why I went there.
- 37:28Speaker 9: And so Rokota regno. It's essentially a The rokota was
- 37:33Speaker 9: an Andean pepper. It's sort of like the looks like
- 37:36Speaker 9: a cross between an apple and a bell pepper. So
- 37:38Speaker 9: it's pretty large and it's spicy as balls. So they
- 37:41Speaker 9: have to like defeat it. They have to devein it,
- 37:44Speaker 9: they have to blanchet to sort of like cut some
- 37:47Speaker 9: of that heat, but it's still hot. And what they
- 37:50Speaker 9: do is that they stuff it. So essentially it's a
- 37:51Speaker 9: stuffed pepper, but they stuff it with At Lima fifteen
- 37:55Speaker 9: thirty five, they stuff it with the filet migno. That's
- 37:58Speaker 9: been a season with Ahi pung which is a Peruvian
- 38:01Speaker 9: red pepper, and Ahia mario, which is a Peruvian yellow pepper.
- 38:05Speaker 9: It's it's got like skultana raisins in their olives, crushed peanuts,
- 38:12Speaker 9: boiled egg and it's all put inside this pepper and
- 38:15Speaker 9: then it's draped with this Peruvian and an Ndean white
- 38:19Speaker 9: cheese called it's called queso pourea, and then it's baked
- 38:23Speaker 9: and it's just amazing. It's served with a sauce. It's
- 38:26Speaker 9: like a creamy egg sauce. It's served with a with
- 38:28Speaker 9: a with a sort of a potato potato and cheese square.
- 38:33Speaker 9: It's called pastelga papa and it's it was everything I
- 38:38Speaker 9: wanted it to be, you know when I had it
- 38:40Speaker 9: here at Lima fifteen thirty five, and they don't serve it.
- 38:42Speaker 9: They don't. If you want to eat this dish, and
- 38:46Speaker 9: by god, everyone there should you need to call ahead,
- 38:50Speaker 9: call ahead and reserve it because it takes a while
- 38:52Speaker 9: to make. It's not something you can just do on
- 38:54Speaker 9: the fly. Because they have to like blanch these peppers
- 38:57Speaker 9: and it's a it's a time consuming process, so call
- 39:01Speaker 9: ahead reserve it. I think like they'll need at least
- 39:03Speaker 9: twenty four hours and you can go and have it
- 39:05Speaker 9: the following day. But beyond that, you know, when I
- 39:08Speaker 9: first had this dish in Araqipa, Peru, it was stuff
- 39:11Speaker 9: with alpaca, and alpaca is also served here at this restaurant,
- 39:16Speaker 9: and a couple of different dishes, most notably the Lomo saltado,
- 39:20Speaker 9: and Lomo saltado is probably one of Peru's most famous dishes.
- 39:24Speaker 9: It's sort of like a Chinese Peruvian stir fry dish
- 39:27Speaker 9: with rice and French fries, and it's great if you
- 39:31Speaker 9: have no one's had alpaca. I highly recommend. It's like
- 39:34Speaker 9: a lean It's like a lean red meat. It's got
- 39:37Speaker 9: a nice sort of like flavoring essence to it. It's
- 39:41Speaker 9: you know, and now you're starting to see starting to
- 39:45Speaker 9: see some more of these sort of quote unquote exotic
- 39:47Speaker 9: meats being served in restaurants. And the owner of this one,
- 39:50Speaker 9: his name is Chris Young Blue Thing. He's also a pilot,
- 39:53Speaker 9: so he'll fly like once a week you'll fly to Miami,
- 39:58Speaker 9: You'll pick up a lot of these ingredients that are
- 40:00Speaker 9: shipp him from Peru and bring him to the restaurants.
- 40:02Speaker 9: And these haves have at least ninety five percent of
- 40:04Speaker 9: his ingredients there are straight from Peru.
- 40:06Speaker 2: That's wild.
- 40:07Speaker 8: You know.
- 40:07Speaker 2: The only thing I knew about Pervian food is I
- 40:09Speaker 2: knew that Peruvians and I think a couple other countries
- 40:13Speaker 2: in South America, I can't. They're big on organ me like,
- 40:16Speaker 2: don't prove Uvians like eat a lot of beef heart
- 40:18Speaker 2: as well. Isn't that a national or traditional dish? It is?
- 40:21Speaker 9: It is antikuchos, yeah, which they also offer here, and
- 40:24Speaker 9: that's also one of my favorites. The grilled beef hearts
- 40:26Speaker 9: are so so good, one of my favorite dishes, not
- 40:29Speaker 9: even Peruviian dishes, that all around dishes, and they serve
- 40:32Speaker 9: that here. They obviously serve cibich. A lot of people
- 40:34Speaker 9: are familiar with cevich. They have a few different kinds here.
- 40:37Speaker 9: The one I really liked was Sibich tire Tillero it's
- 40:41Speaker 9: called and it's I liked it because of all the
- 40:43Speaker 9: various textures in there. But beyond the corvina, the fish
- 40:47Speaker 9: that's used in this particular sibich. They also had crispy
- 40:50Speaker 9: fried squid, they had the they had sweet potato, they
- 40:55Speaker 9: had the frenchy kancha and counches like that hard corn kernels.
- 40:59Speaker 9: You know that that's the often serve as a snack
- 41:01Speaker 9: before you you know, when you sit at the table
- 41:03Speaker 9: at a Peruvian restaurant, they have the fat chokolo, which
- 41:06Speaker 9: are those fattened corn kernels. It's outstanding. There's a great CBJ.
- 41:11Speaker 9: They also and the other thing is that all the
- 41:13Speaker 9: dishes here are like made from hot hand carved stone
- 41:16Speaker 9: that he brings in from Peru. I mean, these dishes
- 41:18Speaker 9: are heavy and they're like gorgeous. They're they're just beautiful.
- 41:22Speaker 9: I also had the octopus there. It was like a
- 41:24Speaker 9: thrice boiled, herb marinated octopus that served table side on
- 41:29Speaker 9: a on a charcoal burner. So it really has the aesthetics,
- 41:33Speaker 9: you know, because the the you know, the tentacle is
- 41:35Speaker 9: right there on the charcoal burner. You know, they're gratinated,
- 41:39Speaker 9: gratinated scallops. The first thing I had that was in Lima,
- 41:43Speaker 9: and that was that was at a very famous restaurant
- 41:46Speaker 9: in Lima called Rosa nautica and that also, you know,
- 41:50Speaker 9: took me back to like twenty years ago when I
- 41:52Speaker 9: was when I first went to Peru. So highly recommended
- 41:55Speaker 9: Lima fifteen thirty five. They're Alpha horrez, which are cookies,
- 41:59Speaker 9: the cookies filled with adulta galch. They're like airy and
- 42:03Speaker 9: crumbling and almost like short red light here they're they're
- 42:06Speaker 9: so good, so good, so check them out.
- 42:08Speaker 2: Yeah, Lima. People are saying it's like a five point
- 42:12Speaker 2: oh review on ye.
- 42:13Speaker 4: I've got to know how many restaurants is straight slanging
- 42:16Speaker 4: out al paca?
- 42:18Speaker 9: Yeah, I mean, I mean so so. Alpaca is a
- 42:21Speaker 9: very common meat in Peru, but not in Orlando. And
- 42:26Speaker 9: that's what I was at ross. That's what I was
- 42:28Speaker 9: saying for twenty years. I was looking for a ro
- 42:30Speaker 9: quota reno made with al paca, but here they do
- 42:34Speaker 9: it with the filet. I'm sure if you ask them
- 42:36Speaker 9: to do it, then out with al paco they'll do it.
- 42:38Speaker 9: But you know, you know there's Wild Fork, which is
- 42:41Speaker 9: a common now meat meat shop there in Orlando. I
- 42:44Speaker 9: think there's like four different ones. The most notable one
- 42:47Speaker 9: is right there on the corner of Fairbanks and and
- 42:51Speaker 9: Bills Avenue, and they served like kangaroo and alpaca and like,
- 42:55Speaker 9: you know, meats that were you know, considered non traditional
- 42:58Speaker 9: or you know, quote unquote exotic.
- 43:00Speaker 2: Elk.
- 43:00Speaker 9: You know a lot of times people elk was considered
- 43:03Speaker 9: that exotic. Yeah, well, there's also enough be a koui,
- 43:08Speaker 9: which is like, uh uh, it's what is it? It's a
- 43:12Speaker 9: not a it's a guinea pig.
- 43:14Speaker 2: Oh man, Yeah, that's very well. Nutria is a big
- 43:17Speaker 2: thing somewhere, right, isn't nutria? Are aren't those in the menu?
- 43:22Speaker 9: I mean, I haven't seen nutrient on on menus any
- 43:25Speaker 9: which I.
- 43:26Speaker 2: Thought I saw that nutrient was something that people ate
- 43:28Speaker 2: as well, But I'm not a hundred on that. And
- 43:29Speaker 2: you you can only serve guinea pig out of a
- 43:32Speaker 2: brick and mortar restaurant because if it's a food truck,
- 43:34Speaker 2: it just comes off weird. All right, But let's move
- 43:39Speaker 2: on to the other of you. Is it Yala?
- 43:42Speaker 9: Yeah, that's actually I think there's Jala and it's a
- 43:45Speaker 9: it's an Indian restaurant there right up a Park Avenue.
- 43:47Speaker 9: I believe the address is one fifty five East Morse Avenue,
- 43:50Speaker 9: East Morse Avenue. Yeah, it's a former former home of
- 43:54Speaker 9: a Proper and Wild if you remember Proper and Wild
- 43:57Speaker 9: in that whole story. But Jala, So it's couting modern
- 44:02Speaker 9: Indian cuisine, but in reality this is really traditional Indian cuisine.
- 44:08Speaker 9: Guys as modern and mainly they use they use smoke,
- 44:12Speaker 9: you know, you know, with that through that old crutch
- 44:15Speaker 9: liquid nitrogen. You know, they use a lot of smoke
- 44:17Speaker 9: and a lot of like sort of like hammered copper
- 44:21Speaker 9: plates to look sort of like, Guys, this food as modern,
- 44:24Speaker 9: but it really isn't modern. But that doesn't mean it's bad.
- 44:27Speaker 9: It's it's it's comforting traditional Indian food. Speaking of the
- 44:31Speaker 9: liquid nitrogen, you know, when you order the poni pori
- 44:33Speaker 9: and ponnee pories are very common street food. It's these little,
- 44:37Speaker 9: how hollowed out shells of dough that are filled with
- 44:40Speaker 9: you know, seasoned chick beas and potatoes and then you
- 44:42Speaker 9: put like a spice sort of minty water in there
- 44:45Speaker 9: and just popp it in your mouth because anyway, so
- 44:48Speaker 9: that's served the ponnie poories are served over shot glasses
- 44:51Speaker 9: that contain that that minty water. But one of the
- 44:54Speaker 9: shot glasses is filled with liquid nitrogen and it's you know,
- 44:57Speaker 9: exuding all the smoke and everything. So you know, if
- 45:00Speaker 9: you're going to go and order this food, I please
- 45:02Speaker 9: don't don't use that little shotglass of liquid nitrogen because
- 45:06Speaker 9: they'll likely end up in the hospital.
- 45:07Speaker 3: Not good.
- 45:07Speaker 2: Okay, We're not gonna be able to get the Stonecraft brunch.
- 45:09Speaker 2: But I do want to talk about Walter's Tavern. I
- 45:11Speaker 2: use about the task that the guy that you soap
- 45:13Speaker 2: it up from the Is that the same thing or not?
- 45:16Speaker 9: Okay? So have you been to the a Great Southern
- 45:18Speaker 9: Box Company, the food hall in the packing District?
- 45:21Speaker 2: No?
- 45:22Speaker 9: Okay? So this so Walter's Tavern is going to be
- 45:25Speaker 9: opening up in there next month and it's going to
- 45:28Speaker 9: be able to that three thirty eight hundred square foot bar,
- 45:31Speaker 9: and it's named after Walter Phillips, who was the son
- 45:34Speaker 9: of doctor Phillips. And they're they're they're going to be
- 45:37Speaker 9: serving craft cocktails and they'll have live entertainment and they're
- 45:41Speaker 9: and they're promising a quote unquote elevated sports viewing experience.
- 45:45Speaker 9: And honestly, if you haven't been to the Great Southern
- 45:47Speaker 9: Box Company, I feel like a bar like this will
- 45:50Speaker 9: inject a lot of like life into it, because the
- 45:54Speaker 9: two times I've gone, it's just seemed a bit dead,
- 45:56Speaker 9: you know, So I think they need some a bar
- 45:58Speaker 9: like this to breathe a bit of life and with
- 46:00Speaker 9: and and actually a lot of the a lot of
- 46:03Speaker 9: the cocktails they'll they'll be serving will be inspired by
- 46:07Speaker 9: legendary sports moments and iconic sports moments. So I fully
- 46:12Speaker 9: expect them to be serving a Springer Dinger Dakery when
- 46:16Speaker 9: I when I pay a visit their next.
- 46:20Speaker 2: A Springer Dinger Dakary. I got almighty, And this ended
- 46:23Speaker 2: up with a big, huge announcement from one of the
- 46:25Speaker 2: most legendary restaurants in all of Orlando, the Briar Patch.
- 46:29Speaker 2: Uh now kind of switching gears from just serving breakfast.
- 46:33Speaker 9: Oh yeah, so they're still serving breakfast, but they're now
- 46:36Speaker 9: offering what they're calling an upscale dinner service. And I
- 46:40Speaker 9: believe it's going to be from Tuesday to Saturday, and
- 46:42Speaker 9: they're offering quote unquote chef driven French dips, dry age burgers,
- 46:48Speaker 9: seasonal pastas. They'll be fish steak. I think there's like
- 46:51Speaker 9: a seventy eight dollars New York strip on the menu
- 46:55Speaker 9: and you know what, like Briar Patch, you know, it's
- 46:57Speaker 9: had its it has this like and it has its haters,
- 47:01Speaker 9: you know, and there's been some questionable practices in the past,
- 47:05Speaker 9: but it's still regardless, it's still a very beloved institution.
- 47:08Speaker 9: It's been there since nineteen eighty and so now they're
- 47:11Speaker 9: offering dinner. And I talked to another Park Avenue proprietor
- 47:16Speaker 9: and they were saying, you know what, this is a
- 47:18Speaker 9: good thing. If it brings more traffic to Park Avenue,
- 47:21Speaker 9: it's a good thing because restaurants need it. So yeah,
- 47:24Speaker 9: we'll see, I'll pay visit, Yeah, and see how dinner
- 47:26Speaker 9: is at Briar Patrick.
- 47:27Speaker 2: Yeah. I mean that's like the Hippus Breakfast in Orlando.
- 47:29Speaker 4: Do you think maybe that decision was made with the
- 47:31Speaker 4: opening of the glass Knife about forty feet to its left.
- 47:36Speaker 9: Well, that's so funny you mentioned the glass Knight for
- 47:39Speaker 9: us because the person I spoke to was the owner
- 47:41Speaker 9: of a grass Knife who a glass knife, who said
- 47:43Speaker 9: that he welcomed he welcomed more additional traffic to Park Avenue.
- 47:48Speaker 9: So yeah, you know, it's uh, you know, we talked
- 47:52Speaker 9: about Jaal at the Indian Restaurant, right around the corner
- 47:54Speaker 9: as Tabla. So you got like two competing Indian restaurants.
- 47:58Speaker 9: I think I think I said something to the fact
- 48:00Speaker 9: that it'll be the Battle of Verryanni or the rumble
- 48:03Speaker 9: of Rogan Josh or the tussle of Tika Mafala. You know.
- 48:06Speaker 9: So with with Glass Night right there and then Briar
- 48:10Speaker 9: Patch as well, I think those two would probably compliment
- 48:13Speaker 9: each other. You could go for breakfast, you could go
- 48:15Speaker 9: for dinner at Briar Patch and then head over to
- 48:17Speaker 9: the Glass Line for dessert. And you know, I think
- 48:19Speaker 9: it's it's good for Park Avenue and I whether people
- 48:21Speaker 9: will will frequent Friar Patch at those prices, I think
- 48:25Speaker 9: the elevated part is the part that that gets me
- 48:28Speaker 9: because the pricing. Yeah, the burger, it's like, I think
- 48:31Speaker 9: there's a thirty dollars, Yeah.
- 48:32Speaker 2: I get out of here that I ain't gonna time that. Yeah,
- 48:34Speaker 2: winter Park, Well, people win to park and spend that
- 48:36Speaker 2: if they're want, they can be dumb. I don't care.
- 48:37Speaker 2: I mean, Brian Brat's is awesome. I'm not spending thirty
- 48:39Speaker 2: dollars on a burger. I don't care where it is.
- 48:42Speaker 9: Yeah, exactly, So it's the pricing, but it is Park
- 48:45Speaker 9: Avenue and maybe people will pay for it so well.
- 48:47Speaker 2: If I as. It's always good seeing you guys. Good
- 48:48Speaker 2: allowed for mister Fayaskara stuff in Orlando Weekly dot com.

- 49:56Speaker 10: S Jim Colbert Mason here in San Diego, Jim, I
- 50:02Speaker 10: don't know how you've bought.
- 50:03Speaker 3: All these houses over the years.
- 50:05Speaker 10: How something as stressful as Heck, yesterday I got out
- 50:09Speaker 10: bid by one hundred and ten.
- 50:10Speaker 3: Thousand dollars on the house.
- 50:12Speaker 10: I sat here and I was like, you know what,
- 50:14Speaker 10: you can have it, no deed reason to flex on
- 50:16Speaker 10: me like that.
- 50:17Speaker 3: I don't need the pool or whatever it comes with.
- 50:20Speaker 10: I'm just gonna end up living in a microtel shack
- 50:23Speaker 10: because it's getting out of hand over here, yep.
- 50:29Speaker 11: Hey cobrat crew, Yeah, Jim about the hard rock bed appy,
- 50:34Speaker 11: They mainly do that to protect themselves.
- 50:36Speaker 3: I run through about five to ten thousand a week.
- 50:38Speaker 11: On that app. They want to protect themselves from people
- 50:41Speaker 11: who are bookies taking the money from other people in betting.
- 50:45Speaker 11: But mainly the Jacksonville Jaguars employee who stole all that
- 50:48Speaker 11: money and betted on there and lost. They had to
- 50:51Speaker 11: pay back a bunch of money that he bet, so
- 50:55Speaker 11: that's the reason.
- 50:56Speaker 2: Have a good day, guys, and thanks buddy. That's the case.
- 50:57Speaker 7: Out saw any week good had weekend, COVID and colpany.
- 51:01Speaker 7: It's concrete, Mike. This message is the directed straight for
- 51:06Speaker 7: Jack Bradshaw.
- 51:07Speaker 2: Hoeboy.
- 51:08Speaker 7: I'm from upstate New York. I'm a Yankees fan, die
- 51:11Speaker 7: hard liver die do not want to really root for Toronto,
- 51:16Speaker 7: but Donnie Baseball is their manager and this is his
- 51:20Speaker 7: chance to get a World Series. My question for you,
- 51:23Speaker 7: mister Jack, congratulations on the baby. By the way, who
- 51:27Speaker 7: are you going for to win the World Series?
- 51:30Speaker 2: That's an interesting question because it is a Canadian team,
- 51:34Speaker 2: it is, but don Mattingly is the manager and he
- 51:38Speaker 2: was a he's a legendary Yankee.
- 51:39Speaker 5: Yeah, he's the bench coach. Oh yeah, assistant manager. But yeah,
- 51:43Speaker 5: and that reason because I always he made the playoffs
- 51:47Speaker 5: once in ninety five and then they got blown out
- 51:51Speaker 5: by Seattle, and that's as far as he made it.
- 51:54Speaker 5: He's one of my favorite players of all time. And
- 51:59Speaker 5: I definitely want to see him get that.
- 52:02Speaker 2: That's one of the best nicknames of all time when
- 52:04Speaker 2: somebody calls you Donnie Baseball.
- 52:05Speaker 5: Yeah, uh no, he was. I got to see him
- 52:09Speaker 5: play several times. He's just he's one of my He's
- 52:12Speaker 5: one of my baseball heroes, and I'd love to see
- 52:15Speaker 5: him get the World Series. Do not want to Dodgers
- 52:18Speaker 5: back to back?
- 52:18Speaker 2: No, thank you.
- 52:20Speaker 5: They beat the Yankees last year. That's another strike against them.
- 52:23Speaker 2: What player has the most World Series rings? Yogi Bear?
- 52:28Speaker 2: I believe is it Yogi Bear? Was he like eight?
- 52:30Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't think he might be sick
- 52:34Speaker 2: like one.
- 52:34Speaker 4: Of your one one, just the one your baseball hero
- 52:39Speaker 4: only made it to the playoffs once.
- 52:41Speaker 2: It's a very good point.
- 52:43Speaker 5: Yeah, what I mean, So it's a game of what
- 52:47Speaker 5: I don't know, it was just nine players.
- 52:49Speaker 4: Yeah, it's just so much, you know, I don't know
- 52:53Speaker 4: a lot of people are like man. Charles Barkley is
- 52:55Speaker 4: my favorite of all time.
- 52:57Speaker 2: He was the most dumb all right, seven of a
- 53:00Speaker 2: zero three one R four o'clock. He word his money
- 53:02Speaker 2: m O N E Y side over to real radio
- 53:04Speaker 2: or not if I'm and send that away for your
- 53:05Speaker 2: chance at one thousand dollars money. Guys, that's it. That
- 53:08Speaker 2: is your four o'clock. He worked, Good luck. We hope
- 53:10Speaker 2: you win for sure. I'm Jim. Jack and Ross are
- 53:12Speaker 2: right over there. Hey, do you guys know anybody that's
- 53:14Speaker 2: being affected by the shutdown? Real quick, you'll be better
- 53:16Speaker 2: at ten rings. Yeah. Uh, do you guys know anybody
- 53:20Speaker 2: affected by the shutdown? Hey? By the way, do postal
- 53:24Speaker 2: workers work through the shutdown? Yes? They do. Yes, they
- 53:26Speaker 2: get paid. I believe they do. Are they part of
- 53:28Speaker 2: Are they essential?
- 53:29Speaker 6: Is that?
- 53:29Speaker 2: Is that why? Or is it more than air traffic controllers?
- 53:33Speaker 5: Postal the post Office is part of the federal government,
- 53:37Speaker 5: but they operate as their own entity.
- 53:39Speaker 2: Yeah, I believe.
- 53:41Speaker 5: I don't think their pay is affected. I know TSA is. Yeah,
- 53:44Speaker 5: of course we've heard about that. But when I went
- 53:46Speaker 5: through the airports on my recent trip, I was I
- 53:49Speaker 5: do something Ross does every time he goes to a
- 53:51Speaker 5: theme park. I look at them and I go, thank
- 53:53Speaker 5: you for coming to work today.
- 53:54Speaker 2: Yeah exactly.
- 53:56Speaker 4: That's also not me in a theme park. That's me
- 53:58Speaker 4: drunk anywhere. Yeah, thanks so much for work.
- 54:01Speaker 2: The Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy was not warning but basically saying, hey, look,
- 54:07Speaker 2: you know, any when it comes to your flying, you
- 54:08Speaker 2: may want to be because I mean there are a
- 54:10Speaker 2: lot of traffic controllers, air traffic controllers that you know,
- 54:13Speaker 2: are you know, maybe not showing up and then breaking
- 54:15Speaker 2: bad Season three happens. Yeah, yeah, that's crazy though. Men,
- 54:18Speaker 2: I don't know anybody that's affected by it that obviously,
- 54:21Speaker 2: that doesn't mean that it doesn't affect people. I just
- 54:23Speaker 2: don't know. I wonder how many people in our audience
- 54:24Speaker 2: are affected by it. I mean people are at NASA
- 54:27Speaker 2: that listen to the show. Are they affected by it?
- 54:30Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 54:30Speaker 4: I don't think they do. We still NASA out I
- 54:33Speaker 4: thought that was all third party these days.
- 54:35Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I know, well it is. Yes, there
- 54:38Speaker 2: is still NASA Ross. Yeah, yeah, and you know, of
- 54:41Speaker 2: course they're doing that. They're doing these events coming through.
- 54:43Speaker 2: But I don't know if NASA employees are furloughed or
- 54:46Speaker 2: if they work over there, And of course they're in
- 54:48Speaker 2: our listening audience. And we do a lot of stuff
- 54:49Speaker 2: with the guys over the Connedy Space Center visitory complex,
- 54:52Speaker 2: and that's just part of that.
- 54:53Speaker 4: And the National Forest. There's there's the park rangers. Yeah,
- 54:57Speaker 4: the park rangers.
- 54:58Speaker 2: Now, usually those are out west, but we have an
- 55:00Speaker 2: of National forests here in central Florida or in Florida.
- 55:02Speaker 2: And I don't know what I mean, I don't know
- 55:04Speaker 2: what's going on with those guys. And then I'm trying
- 55:05Speaker 2: to think of what is it is the bear who
- 55:11Speaker 2: smoking the bear? Yeah? Again, I think he's not getting paid. Yeah,
- 55:15Speaker 2: I think the National forest employees are not getting paid.
- 55:17Speaker 2: By the way, somebody just texted and said their husband's
- 55:19Speaker 2: a postal worker. They're fine, all right, Yeah, we would
- 55:21Speaker 2: have heard about that for sure, right if the postal
- 55:23Speaker 2: workers are gonna get paid, I'm still worried about just yeah,
- 55:27Speaker 2: T say, I have a flight next month? Do you really? Yeah?
- 55:30Speaker 2: I'm screwed. Well, And here's the thing is, I don't
- 55:33Speaker 2: I mean, did Trump leave for Asia already? He might be.
- 55:37Speaker 2: I know that he was leaving to go to Asia.
- 55:38Speaker 2: He's supposed to meet with Jijiping next Friday, if I
- 55:41Speaker 2: remember right, plus do some other stuff, some stuff in
- 55:44Speaker 2: South Korea and other things of that nature. But it
- 55:46Speaker 2: was going to be gone until after the beginning of November,
- 55:50Speaker 2: which is next Saturday. So that means without him here,
- 55:54Speaker 2: he cannot sign it into I don't think he can.
- 55:57Speaker 2: I don't know if he can sign it in and
- 55:59Speaker 2: fax it over from Area one. I don't know how
- 56:01Speaker 2: that works, but I know that he has to sign
- 56:03Speaker 2: whatever agreement is made to reopen the government and he's gone.
- 56:07Speaker 4: This whole like government being shut down just feels like
- 56:11Speaker 4: more ammunition for my own little belief that I've been growing.
- 56:15Speaker 2: So no one cares. Yeah, I don't know that anybody,
- 56:17Speaker 2: But I mean, we did a poll yesterday, and you know,
- 56:19Speaker 2: it's like, you know, what's it, ninety five percent of
- 56:21Speaker 2: the people or something or like whatever. Yeah, it's happened before. Yeah, yeah,
- 56:26Speaker 2: but it's not gonna be longer than this one. This
- 56:28Speaker 2: one will. If he left for Asia and they did
- 56:29Speaker 2: not sign anything, and this thing goes another eight or
- 56:32Speaker 2: ten days, it will by far be the longest in
- 56:34Speaker 2: the history of the country. Well, I think it tied
- 56:37Speaker 2: it today. I don't know.
- 56:38Speaker 4: I just like I know when I don't show up
- 56:41Speaker 4: to work for about thirty days. Yeah, yeah, there are consequences, Yeah,
- 56:46Speaker 4: and there I just already don't like knowing that there
- 56:49Speaker 4: will be zero consequences throughout this entire episode of the
- 56:54Speaker 4: government being shut down.
- 56:55Speaker 2: And then Congress is getting paid. You know, that's another thing.
- 56:57Speaker 2: House representatives hasn't been there for what three weeks. Yeah,
- 57:02Speaker 2: they're still getting their check. Yeah, I mean, they're all
- 57:05Speaker 2: getting paid. And you know, just you know, when America
- 57:07Speaker 2: system watches, whether you're a Democrat or Republican, America is
- 57:10Speaker 2: sitting and watching. They're paying attention, they're taking names, they're
- 57:13Speaker 2: seeing the major players in this, and they're listening to
- 57:15Speaker 2: the rhetoric of it. And of course Americans know the
- 57:18Speaker 2: truth or you know, Americans understand. I mean, you know,
- 57:21Speaker 2: and you look at and you listen to people talking
- 57:24Speaker 2: from Capitol Hill or whatever, and they're making their statements
- 57:27Speaker 2: on television, on news stations wherever. I mean, people see
- 57:30Speaker 2: through the BS see I That's where I disagree. I
- 57:33Speaker 2: don't think so.
- 57:34Speaker 4: I think there's six or seven personalized b personalized bs's.
- 57:39Speaker 4: There's like six or seven different realities right now. Some
- 57:43Speaker 4: person looks at this situation goes, my god, these Democrats
- 57:46Speaker 4: get off your ass. Yeah, And other people look at
- 57:48Speaker 4: it and go, these Republicans, what.
- 57:50Speaker 2: Are they doing? Yeah. The big argument from the Democrats
- 57:52Speaker 2: is the Republicans are running all of our government. They
- 57:54Speaker 2: have the presidency, they have Congress, and they have the
- 57:56Speaker 2: House representatives. In other words, they're in one total control.
- 58:00Speaker 4: I can show you a direct quote of Donald Trump saying, yeah,
- 58:04Speaker 4: this is on the president when the government gets shut down,
- 58:06Speaker 4: that it's the president's.
- 58:07Speaker 2: Fault, back in twenty fifteen or sixteen. Yeah.
- 58:10Speaker 4: But that's the thing is that, like that doesn't mean anything.
- 58:13Speaker 4: No one cares. I disagree. When you're like, people are
- 58:15Speaker 4: gonna remember names. No one will remember names, no one.
- 58:19Speaker 4: I mean, right, maybe the blame game is a little
- 58:20Speaker 4: too hot for that. I don't even know if there's
- 58:22Speaker 4: any anybody even knows where to blame, or if they do.
- 58:27Speaker 2: I am it's their own.
- 58:28Speaker 4: Little personalized reality, the same way that I'm in my own.
- 58:32Speaker 2: And Democrats want to sign this so that people will
- 58:35Speaker 2: income people. I think, what about ten or twelve million
- 58:37Speaker 2: of them won't lose their medical benefits. And of course
- 58:40Speaker 2: it's the subsidies for the affordable the ACA subsidies, And
- 58:44Speaker 2: you know, of course you're what's happening now is drug
- 58:47Speaker 2: companies are starting to publish exactly how much more you're
- 58:50Speaker 2: going to pay for medication in some situations and in
- 58:53Speaker 2: some cases it doubles, and then even with your your insurance,
- 58:56Speaker 2: it's going to go way up. I mean, you know,
- 58:57Speaker 2: we've heard Marjorie Taylor Green, who is you know, an
- 59:00Speaker 2: outspoken fan of President Trump and has worked hard in
- 59:04Speaker 2: the state of Georgia to keep Georgia red and help
- 59:07Speaker 2: elect and support Donald Trump's policies. And even she says,
- 59:11Speaker 2: she goes like, two of my kids are going to
- 59:13Speaker 2: get almost priced out of their own insurance because of this,
- 59:16Speaker 2: and she's really going to flip the switch on it
- 59:18Speaker 2: because she saw what it's going to do to rural
- 59:20Speaker 2: communities in Georgia. So it is an interesting thing because
- 59:24Speaker 2: it is another it's just an extension of the subsidies
- 59:27Speaker 2: that are already there, that should be or that would eventually,
- 59:30Speaker 2: you know, peter out after this.
- 59:32Speaker 5: Right, the current subsidies expire at the end of this year, yes,
- 59:36Speaker 5: and open enrollment as you know, going on I think
- 59:39Speaker 5: November first, ye is November first, Yeah, for next year's
- 59:42Speaker 5: Affordable Care Act for health insurance, and without the subsidies,
- 59:46Speaker 5: those premiums are going to rise, and so they estimate
- 59:50Speaker 5: about fifteen million up to fifteen million people will not
- 59:53Speaker 5: be able to afford the health care that they have right,
- 59:56Speaker 5: so they will not have health care. Now that trickled
- 59:59Speaker 5: up that actually it hurts people with healthcare because what
- 1:00:02Speaker 5: happens is they go so they stop getting their preventative care,
- 1:00:06Speaker 5: they go to the emergency room if they can't pay.
- 1:00:09Speaker 5: That's what causes hospital rates to rise for everyone else.
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: Yeah, and then you know they got that just texts in. Well,
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: the blame goes to the Democrats because they want to
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: give money to illegals. That's been proven over and over
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: to be incorrect. It it gets the law for illegals
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: to get any support from the government when it comes
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: to their medical care, whether it be the ACA, whether
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: it be Medicaid, any of that stuff. It's already it's
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: already in law. But that's a big talking point that's
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: making it through. And that's another way that you can
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: play the blame game.
- 1:00:36Speaker 4: But the thing that kills me is that you responding
- 1:00:39Speaker 4: to that means my Overton window is four miles that way.
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: What do you mean my Overton window? It's the political window.
- 1:00:47Speaker 4: When you go ahead and that gets beaten, it drags
- 1:00:50Speaker 4: everything back to one its area. If I say something
- 1:00:54Speaker 4: absolutely insane and then Jack says something a little less insane.
- 1:00:58Speaker 4: His idea is far more bel now because of the
- 1:01:02Speaker 4: political science jokes aside. It's funny, it's a real thing.
- 1:01:05Speaker 4: It's part of if you major in political science, it
- 1:01:08Speaker 4: would be like page one the Overton Window. So you
- 1:01:11Speaker 4: put fringe stuff out so less crazy stuff gets socially accepted.
- 1:01:16Speaker 4: It's just, yeah, frustrating, and I just want to sorry, Jim,
- 1:01:20Speaker 4: to clarify, I do care. I just look at society
- 1:01:24Speaker 4: and it reeks of apathy and no accountability towards anything.
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: So I want to care. I want to care.
- 1:01:33Speaker 4: And I just if you ask me if like if
- 1:01:36Speaker 4: the you know, people will remember names, I do not
- 1:01:39Speaker 4: see it, at least in not in my generation or
- 1:01:41Speaker 4: the younger.
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. And somebody says it's not just low income.
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: My wife just retired at sixty two. She had to
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: get insurance marketplace. It hits all levels, you know. So again,
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: tons of information out there. The government is shut down.
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: People aren't getting paid, including people who keep you safe
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: in the skies, and there's no end in sight.
- 1:01:58Speaker 5: And now this by this weekend, they're seeing they've missed
- 1:02:01Speaker 5: a full pay period, right.
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: Yeah, And they they went into a special budget or
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: a special area in the military to pay the uh
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: pay the military. They did that once, but I don't
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: think they can do it again. I think that fund
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: that they use to pay the military is done. So
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: if it doesn't happen by November first, the all of
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: our service members will also miss a pay a paycheck.
- 1:02:25Speaker 4: Yeah, and then it's just gonna be wrapped up in
- 1:02:27Speaker 4: the blame game somehow, some way, Uh, it will one
- 1:02:32Speaker 4: side will win in the sense of, you know, the
- 1:02:34Speaker 4: public opinion, or at the very least they'll win their
- 1:02:37Speaker 4: side of the public opinion, and then.
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: Rinse and repeat and a little bit more division. Yeah.
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: And you know, it's so funny when we bring this up.
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: You know, you look up to the taxing Service and
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: it just, you know, all of the talking points start
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: hitting from both sides. It's just amazing. You know, there's
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: no clear thought, there's no actual you know, going, hey,
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: here's a remedy. You know, here's here's what the here's
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: what we should do. It's just a blame game. It's
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: just people pointing one way or the other to try
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: to find blame. And that's simply because mid Turbs are
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: coming up in twenty twenty six and this is going
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: to be a big player in that. All of these
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: are gonna be a big player in that. So I
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: turn on the right and these things are coming in
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: left and right on the texting service, and it is
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: it's literally I could go online right now or Fox
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: and CNN or MSNBC and find word for word everything
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: that's being said right now on the texting service regarding this.
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: It's like no forward movement, you know, No, here's what
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: should happen. No, no negotiating points, No, here's what we
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: should do. It's just rhetoric from both sides.
- 1:03:32Speaker 4: If our leaders are incapable of doing that, I wouldn't
- 1:03:35Speaker 4: believe the texting service has got it down.
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: Yeah, all right? Four oh seven nine one six one
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: four one text us at seven seven zero three one. Man,
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: it looks like everybody's going going through the roof to
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: rob places. I don't know if you've heard of the
- 1:03:48Speaker 2: last one, but I'll tell you what it is next.
- 1:04:01Speaker 12: Good after Morny Colbert carew All right, So I'm definitely
- 1:04:05Speaker 12: with Ross on this one. There really does seem to
- 1:04:07Speaker 12: be a general feeling of apathy of frustration with people
- 1:04:12Speaker 12: of my age and generation in the mid thirties.
- 1:04:14Speaker 3: Now, I always used to.
- 1:04:16Speaker 12: Tell myself be the change you want to see in
- 1:04:18Speaker 12: the world, and even just as simple as yes man,
- 1:04:21Speaker 12: no man, please, thank you, hold the door.
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: But lately I've just given up.
- 1:04:25Speaker 12: I'm just I have no f left again.
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: Fifty album.
- 1:04:31Speaker 8: So to the Republican dumbass who says that they're giving
- 1:04:33Speaker 8: money to illegals, first of all, do your research. How
- 1:04:36Speaker 8: do you like that one fully gets yourself. Also, the
- 1:04:39Speaker 8: only thing that illegals are covered for healthcare wise is
- 1:04:44Speaker 8: that if they show up in an emergency room, they
- 1:04:46Speaker 8: will not be prevented care. That is what people are doing.
- 1:04:50Speaker 8: You know how much of that is essentially compared to
- 1:04:52Speaker 8: everything else. It's like less than one percent in money
- 1:04:57Speaker 8: and in what actually happens.
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: So shut up, he's mad. He's it all right.
- 1:05:03Speaker 5: So we had a lot of talkbacks before until you
- 1:05:05Speaker 5: brought that up.
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: And we've got quite a few on Yeah, I mean,
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: the taxing service literally melted down as soon as we
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: brought this up. Four seven nine one six one four one.
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: Got about eight minutes or so to get over to
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: real radio dot FM and sending off your keyword money
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: M O N E. Y that'll get you some money
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: if you're lucky. Remember, if you're playing the game, pick
- 1:05:23Speaker 2: up your phone when it rings. That's how they tell
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: you that you've won money. That's the word. Guys, good luck.
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: I'm Jim, Jack and Ross are right over there. Yeah,
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: we brought up the shutdown and why and how and
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: the whole nine yards, and of course our texting service
- 1:05:36Speaker 2: just kind of went crazy. And again it is, you know,
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: just the same stuff that you hear on the news
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: of why one side is to blame and why the
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: other side is to blame as well, and it's it's
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: amazing that grown ass adults can't get together and negotiate
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: something to make it happen to the American people can
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: move forward and get the services that are tax money
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: paid for. I think, right, that's it. Our tax money
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: pays for these services. They're being withheld from us.
- 1:05:59Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: I don't care what letters in front of your name.
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: You are not a safe flying today. That's simple. And
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: by the way, we just had a military member said
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: he hasn't been paid in October first, So the people
- 1:06:10Speaker 2: who also protect our country and our livelihoods and our
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: sovereignty also not paid. So I mean all of those
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: things are important. These are taxpayer funded items that we
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: pay for that are now being held from us as taxpayers.
- 1:06:27Speaker 4: Now, I'm kind of stuck on one thing when he
- 1:06:31Speaker 4: said do your own research. And for the longest time,
- 1:06:35Speaker 4: I've never been I've never thought that to be anything
- 1:06:39Speaker 4: other than that sentence.
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: Do your own research.
- 1:06:41Speaker 4: That's a good thing, right, Yeah, but that was the
- 1:06:43Speaker 4: first time I've ever heard do your own research, and
- 1:06:46Speaker 4: it felt like.
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: Maybe that's how we kind of got here. Well, the
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: thing is that is kind of those weird It's like
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: that perfect practice makes perfect type thing, or practice makes perfect,
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: and it doesn't perfect practice makes perfect, and like you
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: could practice terrible and you can get great at terrible habits. Right,
- 1:07:03Speaker 2: it's how you do it.
- 1:07:04Speaker 4: Like, it's really easy for me to tell somebody to
- 1:07:06Speaker 4: do your own research, but the reality of it is
- 1:07:09Speaker 4: is that depending on what you have done on a
- 1:07:13Speaker 4: digital landscape previous to what I am telling you to
- 1:07:17Speaker 4: do to go do your own research, You're gonna have
- 1:07:20Speaker 4: different research, right than the person that I'm also telling
- 1:07:23Speaker 4: do your own research.
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: I mean that person you're telling that to who is
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: going to go to their sources what they feel comfortable with.
- 1:07:28Speaker 4: Yeah, and like it's pretty hard not to just drag
- 1:07:31Speaker 4: the yarn around one bobby pin, right, just always like, man,
- 1:07:36Speaker 4: this wasn't always felt so oil and water. Yeah, and man,
- 1:07:41Speaker 4: if you google why are apples good for you?
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: You'll get an answer.
- 1:07:45Speaker 4: If you google why are apples bad for you?
- 1:07:48Speaker 2: You'll get an answer.
- 1:07:49Speaker 4: Well, that kind of feels like somewhat of a problem,
- 1:07:52Speaker 4: maybe a little toothpasty.
- 1:07:54Speaker 2: We actually did this on our phones last night at
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: dinner because we were having a conversation about how different
- 1:07:59Speaker 2: how what you watch on your phone predicts what algorithm
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: will send you know what what the algorithm? Your algorithm
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: will send you an information. So we all got our
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: phones out. We all just went to Google and we
- 1:08:11Speaker 2: typed in, is the Confederate flag a racist symbol? That's
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: a great little social experiment right there. Whose idea was this?
- 1:08:20Speaker 2: I think this was code Blacks. Yeah. Well, collectively we
- 1:08:24Speaker 2: kind of thought about it, but we all came up
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: with a question about you know what, would you know
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: what would it say based on what your algorithm is?
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: What do you think it said? Do you think all
- 1:08:33Speaker 2: of them said the same thing? I would say that
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: it said, no, what do you think Jack.
- 1:08:39Speaker 5: Well, there were two questions, and that or do they
- 1:08:41Speaker 5: all say the same thing? I said, They did not
- 1:08:43Speaker 5: all say the same things.
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: Two of them, Sean and myself said went to the
- 1:08:49Speaker 2: exact article. It said, yes, the Confederate flag is a
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: symbol of racism and oppression and has been for years.
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: One of the others did not say that. But it
- 1:08:59Speaker 2: didn't say it wasn't. It just described what the Confederate
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: flag was and what it stood for at the time.
- 1:09:06Speaker 2: But it did It didn't go into the the you know,
- 1:09:09Speaker 2: to and to the the minutia of how it got
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: to that point. It just said, that's that's what it
- 1:09:16Speaker 2: is now. And what about the fourth response, I can't remember.
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: It was about the same. I think they're all about
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: the same. But the one that was weird is it
- 1:09:24Speaker 2: took Seawn and I to the exact same website, but
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: the girls did not go to the same website. And
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: and it didn't say straight out yes it is. It
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: started just giving an explanation of what the Confederate flag was.
- 1:09:36Speaker 2: When it gives you the direct answer, that's the AI.
- 1:09:39Speaker 2: We could do it right now. If you yeah, oh,
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: let's do it. What's a good question. We only have
- 1:09:43Speaker 2: about two minutes here, what's a good question? And this
- 1:09:46Speaker 2: is just going to Google, not AI, nothing yet.
- 1:09:49Speaker 4: Just to clarify the meat and potatoes of this experiment
- 1:09:52Speaker 4: is to get different answers. I feel like people are
- 1:09:55Speaker 4: going to get lost in translation. They're like, we don't
- 1:09:58Speaker 4: We're not talking about the Confederate flag.
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: We're not talking about. What we're trying to do is
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: ask Google a question that is controversial, that could have
- 1:10:05Speaker 2: two separate answers. And what we're trying to prove is
- 1:10:08Speaker 2: is that what we watch on our phones and the
- 1:10:10Speaker 2: information we bring in will create an algorithm that will
- 1:10:13Speaker 2: answer based on what we like to see rather than
- 1:10:15Speaker 2: what is the truth or what is actual? Do you
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: want to use the same question you used last night?
- 1:10:19Speaker 6: No?
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: Something different? Yeah? Yeah, something different?
- 1:10:21Speaker 3: Right?
- 1:10:21Speaker 2: What was Ronald McDonald on the Anstein list? How about this?
- 1:10:26Speaker 2: So you can't say anything about that because that that
- 1:10:28Speaker 2: could give was it the twenty twenty elections stolen? Yeah? Yeah, yeah,
- 1:10:37Speaker 2: that's that's spicy.
- 1:10:38Speaker 4: I know I got some people in my life that
- 1:10:41Speaker 4: think that that was just all Antifa on Jan six?
- 1:10:43Speaker 2: Do you want to go? Was Jan? Six done by Intifa? Oh? Yeah, No, no, No,
- 1:10:47Speaker 2: that's a controversial question, that's spicy, that will ruin Thanksgiving.
- 1:10:51Speaker 2: It's not because we have hours of footage show that's
- 1:10:52Speaker 2: not the case. Yeah, but that's the question. That's why
- 1:10:55Speaker 2: I breakfasted. It's not about the question. And one of
- 1:10:57Speaker 2: the interesting things about that is like, hey, they're a
- 1:10:59Speaker 2: bunch of FBI agents that were sending people in. Well
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: Trump was the president at that time, so he was
- 1:11:03Speaker 2: using his own FBI to send people into his own
- 1:11:05Speaker 2: capitol building. Get out of here with that seems like
- 1:11:06Speaker 2: a good question to ask. Who was super dumb? I can't
- 1:11:10Speaker 2: think of someone, and we're up against the clock. Uh
- 1:11:14Speaker 2: a little bit? What happened to Tower seven? Stop? Let's
- 1:11:16Speaker 2: think about this during the break. We'll do when we
- 1:11:18Speaker 2: come back. You're listening to Jim Culper showing roll. AREO
- 1:11:20Speaker 2: get out of having the Tower seven thing? Seeing a bump?
- 1:11:25Speaker 13: Did you guys apologize for the background noise? I'm currently
- 1:11:28Speaker 13: in a postal vehicle delivering mail. No, we are not
- 1:11:31Speaker 13: affected by the shutdown. We were told that we were
- 1:11:34Speaker 13: not being officially told anything from our office, but I
- 1:11:37Speaker 13: just saw on the news when the shutdown happened that
- 1:11:40Speaker 13: we would not be affected. Our pay is not affected,
- 1:11:43Speaker 13: and we are. I don't know if we're essential because
- 1:11:46Speaker 13: of that or not, but we are. We are our
- 1:11:48Speaker 13: own arm of the government, and we make all of
- 1:11:50Speaker 13: our own money off of shipping and stamp sales and
- 1:11:53Speaker 13: things like that, so we're getting paid still.
- 1:11:58Speaker 14: I work in Saint Augustine. The tour guide and the study.
- 1:12:02Speaker 14: San Marcos is closed down because it's parks and wreck
- 1:12:05Speaker 14: and I guess that's a government entity. And I believe
- 1:12:09Speaker 14: the Lightning Museum is closed because it is also our
- 1:12:12Speaker 14: city hall, or at least that part of it is closed.
- 1:12:16Speaker 14: So kind of a point in the bet when you're
- 1:12:18Speaker 14: trying to do tours.
- 1:12:19Speaker 2: Yeah, those places by e.
- 1:12:24Speaker 3: Hey, happy Friday crew.
- 1:12:27Speaker 15: I'm going to implore you or ask that you reconsider
- 1:12:30Speaker 15: the use of the term illegals to describe people because
- 1:12:34Speaker 15: people cannot be illegal. Access people can be illegal, but
- 1:12:39Speaker 15: people in the United States can be undocumented, but they
- 1:12:44Speaker 15: cannot be illegal people.
- 1:12:47Speaker 2: Hey, buddy, we're not saying they're illegal people. They're here
- 1:12:49Speaker 2: illegally in this country. That's what they're saying.
- 1:12:53Speaker 8: I don't care what side you're on.
- 1:12:55Speaker 3: This is we're doing this to our people.
- 1:12:58Speaker 6: Our own people, and it's absolutely ridiculous. I don't have
- 1:13:03Speaker 6: an answer. But on the lighter side, I thought my
- 1:13:05Speaker 6: heart scan today, Jim heays, really a cool experience.
- 1:13:11Speaker 2: I'm glad to hear that. That's awesome news. Yeah, Life
- 1:13:13Speaker 2: Imaging fl A. It is a cool experience. And if
- 1:13:16Speaker 2: you have family members that have this stuff, or you
- 1:13:18Speaker 2: think maybe there's a situation with yourself and you get
- 1:13:21Speaker 2: the scan, it is amazing just to watch it happen
- 1:13:23Speaker 2: to be a part of it, for sure. But thank
- 1:13:24Speaker 2: you for lett call. We appreciate it. Welcome back to
- 1:13:26Speaker 2: the Jim Colbert Show. Real Radio one o four point
- 1:13:28Speaker 2: one bills is your five o'clock keyword, that's b I
- 1:13:31Speaker 2: l ls. Slide over to Real Radio dot FM and
- 1:13:33Speaker 2: send that away for your chance at one thousand dollars bills. Guys,
- 1:13:37Speaker 2: that is the five o'clock keyword. Good luck. We hope
- 1:13:39Speaker 2: you win for sure. I'm Jim, Jack and Ross are
- 1:13:41Speaker 2: right over there. Did you guys come up with a
- 1:13:43Speaker 2: question I thought you were working on. Yeah, yeah, I
- 1:13:46Speaker 2: was gonna say climate change, Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah,
- 1:13:49Speaker 2: let's do climate change. So to go to Google? Is
- 1:13:51Speaker 2: climate change real? Okay?
- 1:13:53Speaker 3: Real?
- 1:13:53Speaker 2: Quick? Let's explain a lot of people getting in their
- 1:13:55Speaker 2: cars now getting off work. By the way, welcome to
- 1:13:56Speaker 2: the show, Thanks for tuning in. My wife and I
- 1:14:00Speaker 2: went out to dinner last night with our buddy Code
- 1:14:02Speaker 2: Black and his wife Kelly, and the reason why is
- 1:14:04Speaker 2: because it was his birthday. We did a little experiment
- 1:14:07Speaker 2: while we were sitting at the table. We all brought
- 1:14:08Speaker 2: up our phones and based on our algorithms, in other words,
- 1:14:11Speaker 2: the stuff that we like watching or listening to on
- 1:14:14Speaker 2: our phones, we wondered if we entered the same question
- 1:14:18Speaker 2: on all four phones, if we would get the same
- 1:14:20Speaker 2: information back. And we talked about the Confederate flag if
- 1:14:24Speaker 2: it was a racist symbol. I think mine came back yes,
- 1:14:27Speaker 2: Seawan's came back yes, And I can't remember with the
- 1:14:30Speaker 2: girls who's came back why? But one of them just
- 1:14:32Speaker 2: had an explanation if I remember right of what the
- 1:14:34Speaker 2: Confederate flag was. And I think that was kind of
- 1:14:36Speaker 2: the crux on both of those. So how do you
- 1:14:38Speaker 2: want to word this? How about is climate change caused
- 1:14:41Speaker 2: by humans? Is climate changed change caused by humans? Caused
- 1:14:47Speaker 2: by humans?
- 1:14:48Speaker 16: There?
- 1:14:48Speaker 2: It is right there, we are all putting that in
- 1:14:50Speaker 2: our phone. Yeah, into a Google. Okay, yeah, so this
- 1:14:52Speaker 2: is just Google. Now I have the AI overview, and
- 1:14:55Speaker 2: then of course I have the one that where you
- 1:14:57Speaker 2: go down it just starts listing. It just basically gives
- 1:14:59Speaker 2: you climate change. That's what I have as well. Okay,
- 1:15:01Speaker 2: I'm looking at as well. What does your AI overview say?
- 1:15:04Speaker 4: All right, all at the same time, one two, three, Yes,
- 1:15:09Speaker 4: the overwhelming scientific consensus is that human activities are the
- 1:15:15Speaker 4: main cause dominant.
- 1:15:17Speaker 2: I have main cause for Ross. Oh come on, they
- 1:15:21Speaker 2: said dominant for me as well. You're smart. Why does
- 1:15:25Speaker 2: Google think I'm afraid of three syllables your search history? Yeah? Man,
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: I mean that's so. I guess that's you know, I
- 1:15:34Speaker 2: don't know if that's controversial enough. I don't know. Uh,
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: but that's what we did, and it was kind of
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: interesting to see the different outlooks that it gave us.
- 1:15:42Speaker 2: For sure.
- 1:15:43Speaker 4: See Mine says it's primarily due to the increased dirt dirt, dumb, dumb,
- 1:15:49Speaker 4: but dumb dumb Ross.
- 1:15:51Speaker 2: That's what Mine says. What is that about? Doesn't say?
- 1:15:54Speaker 4: But that's so odd that it's too different herbage.
- 1:15:58Speaker 2: You know, I'm gonna tell you the al What are
- 1:16:00Speaker 2: the thing I don't know if that really applies to
- 1:16:02Speaker 2: your Google though, doesn't I mean, isn't that more of
- 1:16:04Speaker 2: your social media platforms that really do that? Like a brother,
- 1:16:07Speaker 2: you might want to sit down, really, I mean, if
- 1:16:09Speaker 2: you went into Instagram and we both type that, they
- 1:16:11Speaker 2: wouldn't say the same thing, but it'd say, like if
- 1:16:12Speaker 2: we said show us climate change stuff, would it show
- 1:16:15Speaker 2: us all stuff that supports the fact that climate change
- 1:16:18Speaker 2: is human or the fact that it could be just
- 1:16:19Speaker 2: a blip in time? And how could we possibly know
- 1:16:22Speaker 2: since we've been on this planet for millions and millions
- 1:16:24Speaker 2: of years, there's no way to find out. What do
- 1:16:27Speaker 2: you want to look up on Instagram?
- 1:16:29Speaker 4: But yes, to answer your question, and I told you
- 1:16:32Speaker 4: to sit down because it's a huge thing to really
- 1:16:35Speaker 4: get over of, like how much data of yours is
- 1:16:38Speaker 4: out there, and also how all of these companies are
- 1:16:42Speaker 4: just just I mean, they have your data on a
- 1:16:45Speaker 4: white couch and then all of the companies are behind
- 1:16:48Speaker 4: said couch and it's just like a still image.
- 1:16:52Speaker 2: I think you know where I'm going with y Yeah,
- 1:16:53Speaker 2: one of the image of one of the other things
- 1:16:55Speaker 2: we talked about last night was and it was it
- 1:16:57Speaker 2: was really a great intriguing conversation was, know, my buddy
- 1:17:00Speaker 2: code Black is a he's an IT specialist. That's what
- 1:17:03Speaker 2: he does, right, He runs an IT company, Code Black.
- 1:17:05Speaker 2: It is his company, and he's been doing this for many,
- 1:17:08Speaker 2: many years. And what we were saying is we started
- 1:17:11Speaker 2: talking about supercomputers and the idea that there's a group
- 1:17:14Speaker 2: of people right now but we are not. Steve Bannon
- 1:17:17Speaker 2: and Prince Harry and Megan among other people, even Glenn
- 1:17:21Speaker 2: Beck are part of this program that they don't want
- 1:17:23Speaker 2: super intelligent computers out there just for the general public,
- 1:17:27Speaker 2: like chat GBT. They think they would be incredibly dangerous.
- 1:17:30Speaker 2: They think that it should be highly regulated and only
- 1:17:33Speaker 2: used when what's the word under supervision?
- 1:17:40Speaker 3: Right?
- 1:17:40Speaker 2: It should you know, it should be a collective that
- 1:17:42Speaker 2: uses it because of the power that would have. And
- 1:17:45Speaker 2: I started talking about the idea of well, you know,
- 1:17:50Speaker 2: we live in a digital world. You are we backing
- 1:17:53Speaker 2: this stuff up? And I kind of got laughed at
- 1:17:55Speaker 2: a little bit because he said, you have no idea.
- 1:17:58Speaker 2: I said it like on paper or whatever. But obviously
- 1:18:00Speaker 2: I wasn't you know, you could do it on microfish
- 1:18:02Speaker 2: or whatever. But he said, you know, you know how
- 1:18:03Speaker 2: much that would be. I'd go, well, we got here
- 1:18:05Speaker 2: as a species because we record what we do, right, Yeah,
- 1:18:09Speaker 2: I mean we have computers because somebody who started this
- 1:18:11Speaker 2: recorded what they did, and the next person read that
- 1:18:13Speaker 2: and said, well, I think we can do that better.
- 1:18:15Speaker 2: That could be from a dish to a computer, to
- 1:18:17Speaker 2: a car to a television. Everything that we have as humans, medicine,
- 1:18:20Speaker 2: everything we've learned and continue to learn, we have because
- 1:18:23Speaker 2: we backed that information up over so many years, whether
- 1:18:26Speaker 2: it be in books, microfish, tablet, whatever the case may be.
- 1:18:29Speaker 2: And they contended that, you know, that would be so
- 1:18:33Speaker 2: much information that it couldn't it couldn't be done. I'm like, well,
- 1:18:36Speaker 2: I mean that's what we have libraries for now, right,
- 1:18:38Speaker 2: those are full of information that humans wrote down as
- 1:18:41Speaker 2: a species to continue moving forward as a species. But
- 1:18:45Speaker 2: he said that that would create so much information that
- 1:18:48Speaker 2: would be impossible to record or have a hard copy
- 1:18:51Speaker 2: of some sort of all of this information. And what
- 1:18:53Speaker 2: we're talking about is like if everything was wiped out,
- 1:18:56Speaker 2: would we be able to start over where we are
- 1:18:58Speaker 2: right now? And I said, within reason, you would be
- 1:19:01Speaker 2: able to because you'd have the information, whether or not
- 1:19:03Speaker 2: you'd have the infrastructure to create the products to do that,
- 1:19:06Speaker 2: you would you would have at least a lot of
- 1:19:08Speaker 2: the information to do that with us. So you're talking
- 1:19:10Speaker 2: about Jarvis, is that what? I don't know what you're
- 1:19:12Speaker 2: talking I don't know what Jarvis is. He was a
- 1:19:13Speaker 2: receiver from my high school team. Yeah, the name of
- 1:19:20Speaker 2: Tony Starks and AI he just knows, you know. That's
- 1:19:24Speaker 2: also that Will Smith movie, right, is it? I robot
- 1:19:27Speaker 2: had a Jarvis kind of figure right there in the
- 1:19:29Speaker 2: middle that ran everything. They all have one, even we
- 1:19:32Speaker 2: had one.
- 1:19:33Speaker 4: We had dead by, you know, like there's always the
- 1:19:35Speaker 4: face of the robotic voice. But it's just interesting, this
- 1:19:40Speaker 4: little threshold that we are hitting with technology. And I
- 1:19:44Speaker 4: don't think that the average Joe Schmo, let's say, out
- 1:19:48Speaker 4: in the middle of don't You're gonna catch astray ocala?
- 1:19:51Speaker 4: But some Joe Schmo out in Okala really doesn't understand, like,
- 1:19:57Speaker 4: and neither do I of how much information they a
- 1:20:00Speaker 4: actually have of mind and more importantly, how predictable I
- 1:20:03Speaker 4: really am.
- 1:20:04Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, well I told them last night. You realize
- 1:20:06Speaker 2: that everything you've ever typed, everything you every text message
- 1:20:10Speaker 2: you've ever sent, every voicemail you've ever left, there is
- 1:20:13Speaker 2: a record of it. I mean, there's a record of
- 1:20:15Speaker 2: almost every minute of your life within reason. If you
- 1:20:18Speaker 2: log onto your computer, what you're doing on your computer,
- 1:20:21Speaker 2: there's a history of that. Yeah, man, right, I mean,
- 1:20:24Speaker 2: so there's no there literally is no hiding. I mean
- 1:20:26Speaker 2: you could build you could build a consensus of what
- 1:20:30Speaker 2: a human being has done since the you know, obviously
- 1:20:33Speaker 2: the advent of computers and the advent of social media.
- 1:20:36Speaker 2: You can kind of get an idea of who a
- 1:20:37Speaker 2: person is just simply by reading what they've written or read,
- 1:20:40Speaker 2: even for many, many years.
- 1:20:42Speaker 4: Absolutely, it's you are creatures of your surroundings and what
- 1:20:46Speaker 4: you throw out there.
- 1:20:47Speaker 2: Like Jack, what was your last Facebook post? Two thousand
- 1:20:52Speaker 2: and twelve? That's semi true. Now, yeah, I don't know
- 1:21:00Speaker 2: what I want to remember you talk about? Like, you know,
- 1:21:03Speaker 2: people can get a good idea of who you are
- 1:21:05Speaker 2: from social media posts. Of course, not everything, but a
- 1:21:08Speaker 2: solid idea. Anybody ever delete an old Facebook post. I've
- 1:21:12Speaker 2: never deleted a post, oh boy, I have. I've never
- 1:21:15Speaker 2: deleted a comment on any of my posts, not one ever.
- 1:21:18Speaker 2: I don't let every every nasty thing say there, I
- 1:21:19Speaker 2: don't care. I'm fine with that. I don't do that either.
- 1:21:22Speaker 2: I'm not. I'm not. I'm saying that, Like Facebook memories
- 1:21:25Speaker 2: will be like, hey, eight years ago you posted this,
- 1:21:28Speaker 2: twelve years ago you posted this. It's it does that,
- 1:21:31Speaker 2: but it's always the same picture of me and my
- 1:21:32Speaker 2: wife drinking a beer. So I will do that. And
- 1:21:34Speaker 2: it's like me really blitzed on a couch thinking that
- 1:21:39Speaker 2: I was rapping.
- 1:21:40Speaker 4: Like it's like really embarrassing stuff that I'm so happy
- 1:21:43Speaker 4: I get to delete off the internet. It's a very
- 1:21:46Speaker 4: common thing for people to delete their Facebook memory.
- 1:21:48Speaker 2: How many people do you think actually do that though? Dude,
- 1:21:50Speaker 2: go roll through their social media and just go, hey,
- 1:21:52Speaker 2: maybe I should just get a new job here. I mean,
- 1:21:54Speaker 2: you know, maybe I should just make sure this isn't
- 1:21:56Speaker 2: there that picture enough And I but I know a
- 1:21:59Speaker 2: lot and I have no idea what's not right now.
- 1:22:02Speaker 4: Either, I have a lot of friends who will go ahead.
- 1:22:05Speaker 4: You know, they're an entertainment they're trying to build their brand.
- 1:22:07Speaker 4: They're trying to.
- 1:22:08Speaker 2: Get all these likes, views, and shares, so they'll if
- 1:22:10Speaker 2: it doesn't hit the first forty minutes, they'll just take
- 1:22:13Speaker 2: it down. Oh really, Yeah, yeah, that's wild. That's I mean,
- 1:22:16Speaker 2: is grimy. Yeah, yeah, well that's for the business I
- 1:22:19Speaker 2: mean usually, I mean when most of the Facebook accounts
- 1:22:21Speaker 2: I see that are in my I mean it's just
- 1:22:23Speaker 2: people telling people what's going on in their lives.
- 1:22:25Speaker 4: And I either eating, I like, I get it, socially acceptable,
- 1:22:29Speaker 4: like I get it. If you're in entertainment and here,
- 1:22:32Speaker 4: you care about those things, you'll take it down. But
- 1:22:35Speaker 4: just think about how much that has changed just in
- 1:22:38Speaker 4: ten years. Ten years ago, if you were to take
- 1:22:41Speaker 4: down a social media post because it didn't get enough likes,
- 1:22:44Speaker 4: I would make fun of you.
- 1:22:45Speaker 2: Oh for a month, what what? What are you a cheerleader?
- 1:22:50Speaker 2: What the hell? But now it's business, and now it's
- 1:22:52Speaker 2: buses's fun.
- 1:22:53Speaker 4: Now it's business, and now it's business, and that is
- 1:22:55Speaker 4: such a different frequency for social media than it was
- 1:22:59Speaker 4: ten years ago.
- 1:23:00Speaker 2: A right, four oh seven nine four one. Again, you

- 1:23:56Speaker 17: the best players out there. He didn't get a ring,
- 1:23:59Speaker 17: all right, shut him.

- 1:24:09Speaker 2: for the entire show, and we'll go from remember to member.

- 1:24:15Speaker 5: Oh, I'm indifferent, yeah, Ross, middle school a school only

- 1:24:25Speaker 2: I mean I am wife, isn't so you are the
- 1:24:27Speaker 2: wife isn't? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, I'm indifferent as well. And
- 1:24:30Speaker 2: it does depend on the age. But if it's in
- 1:24:32Speaker 2: middle school, you know, yeah, I don't have any problem
- 1:24:35Speaker 2: with that.
- 1:24:35Speaker 4: You know, for half of Americans they would answer with
- 1:24:38Speaker 4: a question with going well, it depends on what part.

- 1:25:14Speaker 2: All right, Feisty Trivia. You can find her on social
- 1:25:17Speaker 2: media all over Instagram, TikTok and she's got a number
- 1:25:21Speaker 2: of nights that she hosts all throughout Orlando. You want
- 1:25:24Speaker 2: to roll them?
- 1:25:25Speaker 19: Yeah, because I have a new venue since I was
- 1:25:27Speaker 19: last year.
- 1:25:27Speaker 18: Damn, Oh my goodness, you need another you all right?
- 1:25:31Speaker 19: So mondays as of now, it's bi weekly about where
- 1:25:35Speaker 19: I think we're about to switch to monthly at the

- 1:26:01Speaker 2: Damn, girl, I.
- 1:26:02Speaker 19: Know how am I in two places at once? You asked, well,
- 1:26:04Speaker 19: I have a couple of people on my team.
- 1:26:06Speaker 2: Now that's awesome. Man, feisty trivia and started from like
- 1:26:08Speaker 2: the ground up. It was just you and one venue
- 1:26:11Speaker 2: and you have hustled to build it into what it
- 1:26:13Speaker 2: is now and I'm very proud of you. That's great.
- 1:26:15Speaker 18: Crazy, it's been a wild ride.
- 1:26:16Speaker 2: All right. So Sarah comes in and what happens is
- 1:26:18Speaker 2: you know, you call in. We have a full line.
- 1:26:20Speaker 2: Now we'll give you a question, or Sarah, give you
- 1:26:22Speaker 2: a question. If you think you can answer it, let
- 1:26:25Speaker 2: it rip. I mean, just get get in there and
- 1:26:27Speaker 2: get your answer. But if you don't know the answer,
- 1:26:29Speaker 2: you can choose between myself, Ross and Jack and we

- 1:26:34Speaker 2: you're done as well. So that's just how it goes.
- 1:26:36Speaker 8: Yep.
- 1:26:37Speaker 5: Yeah, all right, here we go. These are the prizes
- 1:26:40Speaker 5: up for grabs. I had to scrape up what we
- 1:26:42Speaker 5: had and I appreciate that very much. From the past week,
- 1:26:46Speaker 5: check this out. We have tickets to see Trends Tiberian
- 1:26:49Speaker 5: Orchestra The Ghosts of Christmas Returns. This is at the

- 1:27:21Speaker 5: those are the prizes. Good luck to our players.
- 1:27:25Speaker 2: Back to you, very nice. All right, So Sarah are
- 1:27:28Speaker 2: you right now? Let me ask you, Sarah, because you
- 1:27:29Speaker 2: and I have had a couple of arguments about the
- 1:27:33Speaker 2: difficulty of the questions. What level are we getting today.
- 1:27:37Speaker 19: It is a medley, but I would say that I
- 1:27:41Speaker 19: would say seventy percent of it is skewing on the
- 1:27:44Speaker 19: more difficult range.
- 1:27:45Speaker 2: I like that. Ross you're ready, Oh yeah, We're just
- 1:27:47Speaker 2: gonna rip him right down one through five. So here
- 1:27:50Speaker 2: we go, Christina, how you doing? I'm good? How are
- 1:27:54Speaker 2: you doing?
- 1:27:54Speaker 9: Great?
- 1:27:55Speaker 2: You're alm with Sarah from Feisty Trivia.
- 1:27:57Speaker 19: Here's your question, Hi, Christina, I'm actually going to let
- 1:28:00Speaker 19: you choose between three categories for your question.
- 1:28:03Speaker 18: And here's what I've got.
- 1:28:04Speaker 19: I've got Reality TV animals or art history animals animals?
- 1:28:11Speaker 18: All right, here is your question?
- 1:28:13Speaker 19: What type of animal is a Flemish giant.
- 1:28:19Speaker 17: Flemis giant.
- 1:28:24Speaker 2: I'm not sure. That's a tough one. Anybody have an idea?
- 1:28:29Speaker 2: Over there? Wait? Does she? How does this work? She
- 1:28:34Speaker 2: says she's not sure. I'm just asking you, guys, if
- 1:28:36Speaker 2: you know I'm not I do not. I mean, I
- 1:28:38Speaker 2: don't guess, but I don't like it. I guess as well, Christina,
- 1:28:42Speaker 2: I mean, what what is your initial thought? A fish? Okay?
- 1:28:51Speaker 2: I don't think it's a fish now, Okay, So I
- 1:28:54Speaker 2: tell you what, Christina, Either make a guess or choose
- 1:28:56Speaker 2: one of the show members to help you out.
- 1:29:00Speaker 9: I'm going to shoot someone.
- 1:29:01Speaker 2: Okay, who do you want, Jim? Okay, okay, very good?
- 1:29:07Speaker 2: A Flemish giant. Yes, I'm ash giant. I was thinking bird.
- 1:29:13Speaker 2: I think it's I think it's either a clam or
- 1:29:16Speaker 2: an oyster. I think it's something like that. I think
- 1:29:21Speaker 2: it's like a clam or an oyster. That's what I
- 1:29:23Speaker 2: think it is. Awful of her tell yeah, no chance,
- 1:29:28Speaker 2: you're right.
- 1:29:30Speaker 4: She just got uncomfortable when you said clam or oyster.
- 1:29:33Speaker 18: I'm not saying anything.
- 1:29:34Speaker 2: Yeah, well, I mean.
- 1:29:39Speaker 9: I really don't know.
- 1:29:41Speaker 2: Is it a clam? Sorry? Christina, I'm sorry. What is it?
- 1:29:48Speaker 18: It's a rabbit.
- 1:29:49Speaker 2: It's a rabbit.
- 1:29:51Speaker 18: Rabbit, Flemish giant rabits.
- 1:29:54Speaker 2: You do your research for this. I'm joking.
- 1:30:00Speaker 18: Like you don't know me.
- 1:30:01Speaker 2: Here we go, let's go to strike one. Let's go
- 1:30:04Speaker 2: to Cody. Cody, how you doing, buddy?
- 1:30:06Speaker 9: Hey, how's it going?
- 1:30:07Speaker 2: Man doing? Good man? Here's Sarah.
- 1:30:09Speaker 19: All right, Cody, I'm letting you choose between these three
- 1:30:11Speaker 19: categories for your question. I've got chemistry, Internet culture or
- 1:30:16Speaker 19: Central Florida Knowledge Central alright, I.
- 1:30:20Speaker 18: Like love it. All right, here's your question.
- 1:30:22Speaker 19: What is the name of the Orlando Solar Bears mascot?
- 1:30:27Speaker 2: Oh? Oh, absolutely, well, buddy, then choose wisely. Choose wisely.
- 1:30:35Speaker 2: I think almost everybody in the room may have an idea.

- 1:41:15Speaker 2: who are getting angry about that. Whatna is the number
- 1:41:17Speaker 2: one song in the world. I heard flat a halftime show.

- 1:42:04Speaker 19: what is the name of the cologne that Brian Fantana
- 1:42:07Speaker 19: uses when he explains that sixty percent of the time
- 1:42:10Speaker 19: it works every time?

- 1:42:18Speaker 2: Oh my goodness. Really, I don't know anybody in these
- 1:42:21Speaker 2: rooms that may though.
- 1:42:24Speaker 17: I think I know.
- 1:42:25Speaker 9: So let's go a ross.
- 1:42:30Speaker 2: Do you know it? Do you remember, dude?

- 1:42:45Speaker 2: Hey, listen, I'm gonna let you know I gave Ross
- 1:42:47Speaker 2: a clue by doing the fingers. That's the finger thing
- 1:42:51Speaker 2: right there. But he knows that's the international sign for
- 1:42:53Speaker 2: you know, it is sex panther. Parens my nostrils a
- 1:42:58Speaker 2: formidable sense one of the Alzheimer's. And I will tell
- 1:43:02Speaker 2: you Anchorman two wasn't all that great, but that dinner
- 1:43:05Speaker 2: table scene was one of the most bombastic scenes in
- 1:43:08Speaker 2: the history of comedy. It was unbelievably good. Agreed, I mean,
- 1:43:13Speaker 2: and I mean you te I like throwing it out there,
- 1:43:15Speaker 2: like taking roll in the dice. That was a pretty
- 1:43:18Speaker 2: big roll of the dice. You remember that scene.
- 1:43:20Speaker 19: I don't remember the scene, but I do remember. There
- 1:43:21Speaker 19: was one really funny part of the movies.
- 1:43:23Speaker 2: One He was at the dinner table and he was
- 1:43:25Speaker 2: aiding the black girl who he worked with. I believe
- 1:43:28Speaker 2: it was his boss, And he went to a dinner
- 1:43:30Speaker 2: at their house. He was the only white guy there
- 1:43:32Speaker 2: and he was trying to, you know, fit in by
- 1:43:35Speaker 2: using what he thought was the vernacular that they would
- 1:43:37Speaker 2: be using. And it was bad I mean it's bad
- 1:43:41Speaker 2: slash you couldn't stop laughing bad.
- 1:43:44Speaker 18: Yeah.
- 1:43:45Speaker 4: I love the story of Angerman two. I would say
- 1:43:48Speaker 4: it's the best comedy story out of almost any comedy
- 1:43:52Speaker 4: movie I've ever seen. And not many times do you
- 1:43:55Speaker 4: walk away like laughing at the story per se. And
- 1:43:58Speaker 4: the story of Angerman two is that he's the reason
- 1:44:00Speaker 4: why the news is so bad, right, is because he
- 1:44:04Speaker 4: had to figure out a way to beat all the
- 1:44:06Speaker 4: successful news stations. So he just starts showing like cars
- 1:44:11Speaker 4: and breaking news. We need more graphics, show them kittens.
- 1:44:16Speaker 4: It's exactly what our kind of news is.
- 1:44:18Speaker 2: Today, right, It is quite a statement on what we
- 1:44:20Speaker 2: watched today as news. I do the air quotes there
- 1:44:23Speaker 2: for sure. Yeah. All right, let's get to our next contestant.
- 1:44:25Speaker 7: Here.

- 1:53:17Speaker 3: Mo.
- 1:53:18Speaker 4: Man I saw I'm not here five days a week,
- 1:53:20Speaker 4: so I apologize. If you guys have already talked about this,
- 1:53:23Speaker 4: Have you guys talked about the.
- 1:53:24Speaker 2: Louver robbery a little bit? We did a little bit
- 1:53:26Speaker 2: right after it happened, like the day after. Dude.
- 1:53:29Speaker 4: I'm bringing it back because I feel like there we've
- 1:53:31Speaker 4: got to talk about this a little bit more to
- 1:53:33Speaker 4: show more respect. Big week for the mafia and for
- 1:53:37Speaker 4: cat burglars, right.
- 1:53:38Speaker 2: Right, right, and actually even yes, in a mall here
- 1:53:41Speaker 2: in Florida, I believe somebody cut through the ceiling of
- 1:53:43Speaker 2: a shoe store and stole like a whole bunch of
- 1:53:46Speaker 2: Nikes from a foot locker or something like that. Imagine
- 1:53:49Speaker 2: doing the best part of mission impossible for a size eleven, yeah.
- 1:53:56Speaker 5: Or worse if they don't have your size. Yeah, go there,
- 1:53:59Speaker 5: trust me, they stole all the sizes.
- 1:54:01Speaker 2: It's still all the size.
- 1:54:02Speaker 4: And then you had Paddlefish not too long ago. Listen,
- 1:54:04Speaker 4: we're not celebrating these very fun thieves, these very charismatic robberies.
- 1:54:12Speaker 2: Yeah, we're not celebrating. We're not celebrating.
- 1:54:14Speaker 4: But I'm also not gonna deny that there's a little
- 1:54:17Speaker 4: bit of charm because everybody wants to do it at
- 1:54:20Speaker 4: least once.
- 1:54:20Speaker 2: Dude, I'm gonna tell you, I used to have this
- 1:54:22Speaker 2: take and I got so much heat for it. People
- 1:54:25Speaker 2: would be like, Oh, you're supporting criminals. I'm not. I
- 1:54:27Speaker 2: am supporting the ingenuity of these people, that's for sure.
- 1:54:30Speaker 2: I'm not supporting that. I'm marveling at it because it
- 1:54:33Speaker 2: is kind of amazing and unbelievably ballsy. And then number
- 1:54:36Speaker 2: two million dollars. It's what they got away with.
- 1:54:39Speaker 4: It's part it's Americana to be to watch it and
- 1:54:43Speaker 4: talk about it.
- 1:54:44Speaker 2: Yeah, The Ocean thirteen, Ocean elevens, we Italian Job. All
- 1:54:49Speaker 2: the robbery movies are great. I drop the two Lake
- 1:54:53Speaker 2: Lake five, There's all that. There's so many thief movies.
- 1:54:58Speaker 2: Do you have a favorite one? Oceans eleven was awesome,
- 1:55:02Speaker 2: The Italian Job was damn good as well, but Ocean's
- 1:55:04Speaker 2: eleven was pretty good. I love heist pictures. I love them.
- 1:55:07Speaker 2: I think they're great. You ever see Baby Driver? Oh? Yeah,
- 1:55:09Speaker 2: my god, dude, that's one of the best ever underrated.
- 1:55:12Speaker 2: Great soundtrack, great.
- 1:55:13Speaker 4: Soundtrack, Rest in peace to young child actor who died,
- 1:55:16Speaker 4: who was the young baby Baby Driver in that movie.
- 1:55:19Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:55:20Speaker 4: Also, you know, it doesn't really fall underneath the heist genre,
- 1:55:24Speaker 4: but it should.
- 1:55:26Speaker 2: Inception, how is it a heist movie? Oh yeah, it's.
- 1:55:31Speaker 5: Like the opposite of the high dreams. They're stealing stuff.
- 1:55:34Speaker 2: Oh yeah, you're plutting something in to steal the thing
- 1:55:38Speaker 2: that you won. Kind of thing. And then is this
- 1:55:42Speaker 2: bank robbery movie a heikes movie, like back in the
- 1:55:44Speaker 2: Westerns when they would rob state stage coaches or trains
- 1:55:47Speaker 2: or banks. Is that also a heist movie? I think
- 1:55:50Speaker 2: you're stealing something.
- 1:55:51Speaker 4: Yeah, I've got one rule for an ice for like
- 1:55:53Speaker 4: a heist movie bank robbery movie, you need an it guy,
- 1:55:58Speaker 4: you need the guy. You need a guy, the guy
- 1:56:02Speaker 4: who does all the mainframe hacking. If you don't have
- 1:56:05Speaker 4: one of those, I don't know. If this is a
- 1:56:06Speaker 4: heist movie, dude, I'm gonna give you ahist movie.
- 1:56:08Speaker 2: You got to watch. It's called Sneakers. Go check out
- 1:56:11Speaker 2: a heist movie called Sneakers. It's got River Phoenix in it,
- 1:56:14Speaker 2: it's got Robert Redford in it. It's a damn good
- 1:56:17Speaker 2: heist movie.
- 1:56:18Speaker 4: So if you don't know, if you don't know, Sunday,
- 1:56:23Speaker 4: October nineteenth, at the Leave, there is a massive robbery
- 1:56:28Speaker 4: thirty minutes after the museum opened. Four minutes, four minutes
- 1:56:33Speaker 4: is all it took for them to steal everything. All right,
- 1:56:36Speaker 4: I'm sorry, seven minutes, including four minutes inside of.
- 1:56:39Speaker 2: The museum, four minutes to four play.
- 1:56:41Speaker 4: So yeah, yeah, they only teased it for about three
- 1:56:43Speaker 4: or four and then they got in there and then
- 1:56:45Speaker 4: you got the job done. So it made me think
- 1:56:49Speaker 4: is like, hey, guys, if we were to rob something
- 1:56:53Speaker 4: a what do you want to rob?
- 1:56:55Speaker 2: And Jack, how do you feel about being the it guy?
- 1:57:00Speaker 2: Would you rob a bank for cash or would you
- 1:57:02Speaker 2: rob something like tangible like an art or jewelry or
- 1:57:06Speaker 2: something like that.
- 1:57:07Speaker 4: For hypothetical it's gotta be art, it's gotta be rules.
- 1:57:11Speaker 2: Yeah, man, that's not more fun. That's a true heist, right,
- 1:57:14Speaker 2: heist has to have something more than just cash. I've
- 1:57:16Speaker 2: always by the way, Diehard's a heist movie. Yeah, you
- 1:57:21Speaker 2: remember it was stealing Barry Bonds. That was the entire thing,
- 1:57:23Speaker 2: was to steal Bearabonds. That's a heist movie. But here's
- 1:57:27Speaker 2: the thing though, the heist I think the heist movie
- 1:57:29Speaker 2: also makes the bad guys good. Oh you think it
- 1:57:32Speaker 2: makes them kind of what's it that almost like an
- 1:57:34Speaker 2: anti hero? Yeah? Yeah, like you're kind of rooting, you know,
- 1:57:37Speaker 2: for point break. And by the way, those happened in
- 1:57:40Speaker 2: American culture. Man, who's the most wanted guy ever? Jack
- 1:57:44Speaker 2: the baby?
- 1:57:45Speaker 5: Cooper, No, the kid, Well there's a number of them Cooper.
- 1:57:49Speaker 2: Yeah, But what I'm saying is this guy as Dillinger
- 1:57:52Speaker 2: and he became like famous. These are pretty boy Floyd.
- 1:57:55Speaker 2: All these guys that were bank croppers back in the day,
- 1:57:57Speaker 2: like in the fifties and stuff, they became like superstars.
- 1:58:00Speaker 3: Dude.
- 1:58:00Speaker 2: So what would Jack's name be like Jackie flapjack Jackie Fingers. Oh,
- 1:58:06Speaker 2: Jackie Fingers is too good. You could be a piano
- 1:58:09Speaker 2: player in your real job. Did you hear how he
- 1:58:12Speaker 2: said that he loved it a little too much. Jackie
- 1:58:14Speaker 2: Fingers said, it's so great. That's your mom name, that's
- 1:58:18Speaker 2: your that's your piano playing name. He goes everywhere, Dude,
- 1:58:23Speaker 2: Jackie Fingers, he said it with like like you said,
- 1:58:26Speaker 2: I got the perfect answer for this. This is this
- 1:58:28Speaker 2: like a forward gamer tag or an ald email or something.
- 1:58:31Speaker 2: He said that before that's a damn line. That was
- 1:58:35Speaker 2: not your first rodeo. Jackie Fingers came out of somewhere
- 1:58:38Speaker 2: every gamer tag. I have his Jeter that was his
- 1:58:41Speaker 2: girlfriend's first name for him, Jackie Fings man, Jackie so
- 1:58:47Speaker 2: digits jack digits, Jim. Where how do you go with Jim?
- 1:58:53Speaker 2: And like they would call him the swim gym slim
- 1:58:56Speaker 2: Jim Jimothy. It wouldn't be slim Jim.
- 1:58:59Speaker 4: Like, oh, like, what's a good thief name for a
- 1:59:02Speaker 4: guy named Jim?
- 1:59:03Speaker 2: You can also do James right or Jimmy. No blame James,
- 1:59:07Speaker 2: oh man, Oh no, he doesn't like it. You didn't
- 1:59:11Speaker 2: like No blame James. Jim the shim Uh what I
- 1:59:15Speaker 2: like that? Yeah, Jim the shimu.
- 1:59:18Speaker 5: A Jim a gym speed. It should be connected to
- 1:59:22Speaker 5: what your special.
- 1:59:23Speaker 2: Because there's a there rooftop guys, right, Yeah, so it's
- 1:59:27Speaker 2: gonna be like rooftop gym or are uh four to
- 1:59:30Speaker 2: four James? Or and o those are stupid as hell.
- 1:59:33Speaker 2: By the way, I'm gonna rag myself before the texting
- 1:59:37Speaker 2: serving gets hold of it. See, you didn't get to
- 1:59:39Speaker 2: say it as confident as Jackie fingers.
- 1:59:41Speaker 4: Yeah, Jackie fingers. And then what's my I don't know
- 1:59:46Speaker 4: like rock Raccoon Ross, Raccoon Ross, I don't know that
- 1:59:52Speaker 4: thought right, No, it.
- 1:59:53Speaker 2: Did not feel right. Dumpsters.
- 1:59:55Speaker 4: Yeah, you're Robin Twinkies. But so like you got Raccoon Ross,
- 2:00:02Speaker 4: you got uh anger anger gym management.
- 2:00:06Speaker 2: Am Jim am Jim there you am Jim is great
- 2:00:09Speaker 2: because only do robberies in the morning. Yeah, and he's
- 2:00:13Speaker 2: tuckered out at six am. Jim is notorious until eleven
- 2:00:18Speaker 2: winning naps. That's when he's the most susceptible to being caught.
- 2:00:22Speaker 2: That was the only time, the only way we could
- 2:00:25Speaker 2: catch him. It was due to his very expected map. Yeah,
- 2:00:28Speaker 2: we didn't know where he was until he snored. So
- 2:00:31Speaker 2: then like, who would be our leader? Who's doing the talking?
- 2:00:34Speaker 4: We walk in, Let's say, uh, Jim, are you going
- 2:00:37Speaker 4: highlighter in the jacket or you just gonna bring out
- 2:00:40Speaker 4: a strap?
- 2:00:40Speaker 2: What do you mean highlighter in the jacket, highlighter in
- 2:00:43Speaker 2: the jack? Oh no, I'm packing due. I canna have
- 2:00:44Speaker 2: a piece, okay, yeah, yeah, forty five I plan on

- 2:00:52Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, you just put it through the jacket pockets.
- 2:00:54Speaker 2: Then they give me all the money. You just take
- 2:00:57Speaker 2: a bite. Really had a message right there that you're
- 2:01:02Speaker 2: that you're turning on the faucets and funding the house
- 2:01:05Speaker 2: your calling card.
- 2:01:07Speaker 4: That's why my new thief name is the Rossage.
- 2:01:13Speaker 2: I'll take I spin it out of it, and you've
- 2:01:17Speaker 2: just been Rossage. We call I t and the Jack's back.
- 2:01:25Speaker 4: Basically in the same exact setup that he's in right
- 2:01:27Speaker 4: now in front of thousands of buttons, stressing him out.
- 2:01:30Speaker 2: In the back of a cargo van.
- 2:01:32Speaker 5: In the back car, man like you got Jimmy texters
- 2:01:36Speaker 5: are coming in with your name Jimmy knuckles.
- 2:01:39Speaker 2: Oh yeah, let's see what else? Say Jimmy the sneak. Yeah,
- 2:01:44Speaker 2: I like that. Jimmy Shingles. Jimmy, they're looking at your
- 2:01:49Speaker 2: Jimmy Shingles. Jimmy, Jimmy the chimney, Jimmy dice. We have
- 2:01:55Speaker 2: dvus deb devious dead Jimmy. Jimmy whispers a dead count,

- 2:02:06Speaker 2: Jimmy the mouth is good. I like that.
- 2:02:08Speaker 4: What and then, what is a funny famous piece of
- 2:02:13Speaker 4: art that we're gonna steal?
- 2:02:15Speaker 2: Yeah? What do you mean a funny piece of art?
- 2:02:17Speaker 2: We should only steal Thomas Kincaid painting. Yeah, the painter
- 2:02:22Speaker 2: of Light. We should only steal his stuff. We stole
- 2:02:25Speaker 2: this painting is worth one hundred and thirty dollars. Oh yeah.
- 2:02:27Speaker 2: All we do is Bob Ross stuff. All we do
- 2:02:30Speaker 2: is steal singing bass. Yeah the river, you hit the button,
- 2:02:40Speaker 2: and that's how we get caught, said South South, because
- 2:02:44Speaker 2: one of them moves and then it's just a chain
- 2:02:46Speaker 2: reaction because they're all movement. What if we only steal
- 2:02:49Speaker 2: like velvet, elvis painting, We only do that.
- 2:02:55Speaker 4: Hey, the people at the love unbelievable job.
- 2:02:59Speaker 2: Like I said, don't do this. Shame on you. But
- 2:03:02Speaker 2: I've seen too many movies that made this look cool
- 2:03:06Speaker 2: for me not to see it in the news and
- 2:03:07Speaker 2: go oh rah. Yeah, we should only steal those posters
- 2:03:11Speaker 2: called footprints. Yeah, we are only steal posters that say
- 2:03:16Speaker 2: if you love something, let it go. We always steal
- 2:03:18Speaker 2: middle school motivational posters. It's just a guy on a
- 2:03:21Speaker 2: swing that says courage underneath that or something like that.
- 2:03:25Speaker 2: This new group of people only steal signs and say
- 2:03:27Speaker 2: it's fol y'all.
- 2:03:29Speaker 4: Experts say that the stolen jewels, while extremely valuable, if intact,
- 2:03:34Speaker 4: are hard to sell.
- 2:03:35Speaker 2: As is right. Yeah, they have to break it up
- 2:03:36Speaker 2: and put it in another stuff. One hundred and two
- 2:03:37Speaker 2: million dollars with the jewels.
- 2:03:38Speaker 4: And that's the heartbreaking part about this whole story, because
- 2:03:41Speaker 4: they are destroying history because you can't sell it as
- 2:03:44Speaker 4: is because that's super red flag. And they are estimating
- 2:03:48Speaker 4: that once they take the jewels out, which means they're
- 2:03:50Speaker 4: about to lose the story and become a regular jewel. Yep,
- 2:03:54Speaker 4: I expected to drop by ninety percent.
- 2:03:56Speaker 2: Yeah, because I mean some of that was Napoleon stuff, right,
- 2:03:59Speaker 2: So yeah, I was. I mean, you're talkingalking about crown
- 2:04:00Speaker 2: jewels for dignitaries and royals for years. I mean, it's
- 2:04:04Speaker 2: like crazy. The provenance behind these pieces is ridiculous. But
- 2:04:08Speaker 2: you're right though. Once you take them out of those
- 2:04:09Speaker 2: settings and ruin the prominence or story of the piece,
- 2:04:12Speaker 2: it's done.
- 2:04:12Speaker 4: Though, It's done. So there they also drop the ball,
- 2:04:15Speaker 4: and by ball, I mean a French queen's crown.
- 2:04:19Speaker 2: Oh did they really?
- 2:04:20Speaker 4: As they were trying to run out and grab everything,
- 2:04:22Speaker 4: they dropped the crown of one of Napoleon's side pieces,
- 2:04:27Speaker 4: one of his side chicks or something.
- 2:04:28Speaker 2: Yeah. Oh man, God, I just want to steal something,
- 2:04:31Speaker 2: but I don't want. Have you ever shopled it? Dude?
- 2:04:34Speaker 4: I did, but I was in middle school, like elementary school.
- 2:04:38Speaker 3: You do?
- 2:04:38Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, of course, I mean that's when you
- 2:04:39Speaker 2: do it. You know, I didn't ask you if you're
- 2:04:41Speaker 2: doing it yesterday target.
- 2:04:42Speaker 4: But like, ever since I saw Gone in sixty seconds,
- 2:04:45Speaker 4: I've always been like, one day you want to steal
- 2:04:47Speaker 4: a car? I just want to steal something that makes
- 2:04:49Speaker 4: me feel alive. But I know I'm very soft in anemic,
- 2:04:52Speaker 4: but you will.
- 2:04:53Speaker 2: Would you return it just just to have the sensation
- 2:04:56Speaker 2: of stealing it and then return it?
- 2:04:57Speaker 4: I probably because I would be crying and be like,
- 2:04:59Speaker 4: I'm so, I'm sorry I did this.
- 2:05:00Speaker 2: I believe I did it. We should dog nap.
- 2:05:02Speaker 5: You walk into a convenience store, Yeah, and you see
- 2:05:07Speaker 5: there's a car there and it's running because someone left
- 2:05:09Speaker 5: their car running when they went into Yeah, how close?
- 2:05:13Speaker 5: How often do you think about taking it?
- 2:05:15Speaker 2: The first thought I have is how nice is the car?
- 2:05:18Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 2:05:19Speaker 2: Because nobody's leaving a really nice car running like that.
- 2:05:21Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 2:05:22Speaker 2: Yeah, Like you may see a Ford Ranger with no
- 2:05:24Speaker 2: tailgate doing that because I did it today, and I
- 2:05:29Speaker 2: did it yesterday in front of the dry cleaners where
- 2:05:30Speaker 2: I paid one hundred and ten dollars or seven pieces
- 2:05:32Speaker 2: of clothing and we dry cleaned. So I did it
- 2:05:34Speaker 2: there too.
- 2:05:34Speaker 4: But I know, I know I'm not I know I'm
- 2:05:36Speaker 4: not crazy. When this news story hit that all of
- 2:05:39Speaker 4: us kind of got like all cool and Swede and
- 2:05:42Speaker 4: jazz club feelings instead of like, oh, a tragedy just
- 2:05:45Speaker 4: hit a national museum over in Europe. Because we've seen
- 2:05:48Speaker 4: so many movies, We've seen so many pieces of content
- 2:05:51Speaker 4: that makes this look cool. So did actually happen in
- 2:05:55Speaker 4: the news? Don't don't come at me when I call
- 2:05:59Speaker 4: it a little bit cool? Those are your Ross stocks.
- 2:06:02Speaker 4: I'm out all right for our seven nine four one.

- 2:07:21Speaker 23: favorite are the ones where the lady says she gambles
- 2:07:25Speaker 23: as a full time job. And then my number one
- 2:07:28Speaker 23: favorite is the guy who says he put his last
- 2:07:31Speaker 23: five dollars down on.
- 2:07:33Speaker 2: A jackpot and one predatory.
- 2:07:37Speaker 3: What up?
- 2:07:38Speaker 2: Guys Sport from Duo Rock one thousand.

- 2:08:26Speaker 2: Ross is here as well, that is true. No, Jaydon
- 2:08:29Speaker 2: Grimes today. Unfortunately, he got a job with the Orlando
- 2:08:32Speaker 2: Magic and he is training tonight. So we'll catch up
- 2:08:34Speaker 2: with Jaden next week. For eight bit update, I do
- 2:08:37Speaker 2: have some huge video game news. Zero you want, well
- 2:08:41Speaker 2: dump it due.
- 2:08:41Speaker 4: Let's Go is massive, the legendary shooter originally that was
- 2:08:46Speaker 4: launched on the Xbox in two thousand and one. He's
- 2:08:50Speaker 4: being remade for Microsoft for release in twenty twenty six.
- 2:08:52Speaker 4: Of course, I am talking about Halo. Jim, Oh wow, really,
- 2:08:56Speaker 4: why is this huge news?
- 2:08:59Speaker 2: Why is huge news? Because? I mean because it's is
- 2:09:02Speaker 2: it going to a different platform? Ding ding ding Jack
- 2:09:06Speaker 2: the Silvil War is over release in twenty twenty six
- 2:09:12Speaker 2: on Xbox, PC and PlayStation. Master Chief will be gracing
- 2:09:21Speaker 2: PlayStations for the first time ever. Yeah, pretty cool man.
- 2:09:25Speaker 4: This is as crazy as when Apple went USBC.
- 2:09:27Speaker 2: Yeah, when I was uh, when I got sent out
- 2:09:30Speaker 2: to Comic Con, when I was with the Monsters, I
- 2:09:32Speaker 2: was like, they said, go out to comic Con and
- 2:09:34Speaker 2: just kind of talked to a bunch of people about
- 2:09:36Speaker 2: what they're doing. Right, I'd never even heard of the
- 2:09:38Speaker 2: Deadpool character. Megican here, yeah, meg yeah, megicon Right, I'd
- 2:09:42Speaker 2: never even heard of the Deadpool character. So I had
- 2:09:44Speaker 2: to have somebody explain that to me, Like what, because
- 2:09:46Speaker 2: they came and they were I'm like, who are you?
- 2:09:49Speaker 2: I've never even And then like half the people there
- 2:09:51Speaker 2: I did not know. A lot of them was from anime,
- 2:09:54Speaker 2: the whole nine yards. Hopefully it was Deadpool explaining it
- 2:09:56Speaker 2: for an extra dose of irony. It was two best
- 2:10:00Speaker 2: costumes I saw were Halo costumes and they were out
- 2:10:04Speaker 2: of control, dude, they were They were like movie quality.
- 2:10:07Speaker 3: Good.
- 2:10:08Speaker 4: How it's a lot of questions, how do fans of
- 2:10:10Speaker 4: the original feel about the modern changes versus the nostalgia,
- 2:10:14Speaker 4: Because here's the thing, A massive part of the experience
- 2:10:17Speaker 4: of playing a Halo game was an Xbox controller.
- 2:10:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:10:21Speaker 4: Really, it's gonna be so weird to see X square
- 2:10:25Speaker 4: circle triangle with a b R, Like, what.
- 2:10:30Speaker 2: Are you playing right now? By the way, dude, are
- 2:10:33Speaker 2: you playing anything? I really it's playing that Miles, that
- 2:10:36Speaker 2: new game Miles. Yeah.
- 2:10:39Speaker 4: I was kind of talking to Jack about this on
- 2:10:41Speaker 4: the last break.
- 2:10:42Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't know if I got it
- 2:10:44Speaker 2: anymore in me. Oh really, just you don't have the
- 2:10:46Speaker 2: time to do it and just kind of don't feel
- 2:10:47Speaker 2: the feld, don't feel the need to sit down and
- 2:10:49Speaker 2: do it. That isn't your first go to blow some
- 2:10:51Speaker 2: some waste of time. Yeah, it's just not even a
- 2:10:54Speaker 2: priority for me right now when I don't have a priority,
- 2:10:59Speaker 2: right Yeah.
- 2:10:59Speaker 4: Which is foreign indifferent. I've never not enjoyed video games
- 2:11:04Speaker 4: in my life like this, I do.
- 2:11:05Speaker 3: Right.
- 2:11:06Speaker 2: Let me ask you a question, were you were you
- 2:11:08Speaker 2: before or excuse me, were you after the arcade game?
- 2:11:11Speaker 2: Or did you ever go to an arcade and play
- 2:11:13Speaker 2: like stand up arcade games or is that beyond you?
- 2:11:15Speaker 2: Soul Caliber.
- 2:11:17Speaker 4: Soul Caliber is looked at as one of the last
- 2:11:20Speaker 4: arcade like you gotta go to.
- 2:11:22Speaker 2: The arcade and play this game.
- 2:11:23Speaker 4: Marvel versus Capcom two specifically was also another huge arcade thing.
- 2:11:29Speaker 4: That was my brother and I would go with him,
- 2:11:32Speaker 4: so I saw a little bit of the arcade frenzy,
- 2:11:35Speaker 4: but it was not the real arcade frenzy that was
- 2:11:38Speaker 4: in the ages, right.
- 2:11:38Speaker 2: And see, the thing is is once the arcade frenzy
- 2:11:41Speaker 2: kind of died for me, that would have been like
- 2:11:43Speaker 2: right when I graduated from high school moved here. I
- 2:11:45Speaker 2: still did some arcade stuff when I moved here, but
- 2:11:47Speaker 2: for the most part work took over and school took over,
- 2:11:50Speaker 2: so it really became back back, back burner stuff. But
- 2:11:54Speaker 2: I find it's kind of weird how that works because
- 2:11:55Speaker 2: people who did not make the Arcade years, which were great,
- 2:11:58Speaker 2: by the way, it was one of the best so
- 2:12:00Speaker 2: settings ever watching young teenage boys these games and girls
- 2:12:05Speaker 2: try to walk in there and find out which boys
- 2:12:07Speaker 2: were best at the games because that was the thing.
- 2:12:09Speaker 2: And then the home gaming system just lost me completely.
- 2:12:12Speaker 2: I had I had one, a simple one. It wasn't
- 2:12:17Speaker 2: I think it wasn't a Saga. What was the other one? Nintendo? No,
- 2:12:22Speaker 2: it was it had a version of Defender on it.
- 2:12:27Speaker 2: I just remember having that when it may have been
- 2:12:29Speaker 2: a Segau. But after that I was just like, I
- 2:12:32Speaker 2: was just completely and even now I have a system
- 2:12:34Speaker 2: and have games to play and I have to find
- 2:12:36Speaker 2: time and almost force myself to do it because there's
- 2:12:38Speaker 2: so many other things I would, you know, I've already
- 2:12:40Speaker 2: kind of accustomed myself to doing. It's so sad.
- 2:12:43Speaker 4: It's like I play so many video games, and I
- 2:12:45Speaker 4: love video games so much so that when I say that,
- 2:12:48Speaker 4: I don't think I'm gonna be playing video games the
- 2:12:51Speaker 4: same way that I have. Like I'm still playing video games,
- 2:12:54Speaker 4: but there's I play a video game that doesn't feel like.
- 2:12:58Speaker 2: A video game.
- 2:12:59Speaker 4: It is just FIFA EAFC. I've been playing that since
- 2:13:03Speaker 4: middle school. It scratches a part of my brain that
- 2:13:07Speaker 4: no other activity does. It takes a thousand percent of
- 2:13:11Speaker 4: my focus. Have you do you feel like now you're
- 2:13:14Speaker 4: wasting time.
- 2:13:15Speaker 2: A little bit? I think isn't that where you got
- 2:13:17Speaker 2: jack when you were like playing Red Dead, Remember we
- 2:13:19Speaker 2: talk about a little bit. You kind of felt bad
- 2:13:21Speaker 2: sitting there and playing for three or four hours, Like
- 2:13:22Speaker 2: you've wasted three hours of your life.
- 2:13:24Speaker 5: You have that if I did that long, Yes, and
- 2:13:29Speaker 5: I change my relationship with video games change, as you know,
- 2:13:34Speaker 5: the job demanded more and also just having a family.
- 2:13:38Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:13:38Speaker 5: Sure, you just kind of boil it down to how
- 2:13:41Speaker 5: much disposable time do you have it? It's our most precious commodity,
- 2:13:45Speaker 5: right yea, And so how much time do you have
- 2:13:48Speaker 5: to engage in a singular activity. It's not time with
- 2:13:53Speaker 5: your wife or family, it's you know that alone time
- 2:13:56Speaker 5: and so yeah, I mean I've had weekends.
- 2:13:59Speaker 2: Maybe it's a little Uh, it's guilt free.
- 2:14:02Speaker 5: If everyone's out of town, you're alone, then you can
- 2:14:04Speaker 5: do that, you know, after you do other stuff alone,
- 2:14:07Speaker 5: then you play video game.
- 2:14:08Speaker 2: Yeah, sure, their hand in hand if you.
- 2:14:11Speaker 4: Feel you will watch the controller. Sometimes I do both
- 2:14:13Speaker 4: at the same time. It's more of an impressive stone.
- 2:14:15Speaker 2: You should not ever do that. Again, I don't want
- 2:14:18Speaker 2: to hit the story because I talked about it a
- 2:14:19Speaker 2: couple of weeks ago. What's wrong with there r one?
- 2:14:24Speaker 2: But out of Saint Paul's Minnesota. Uh, they have dubbed
- 2:14:28Speaker 2: a term that I was talking about last week. And again,
- 2:14:31Speaker 2: I didn't invent this or anything like that. I'm not
- 2:14:33Speaker 2: trying to take credit for anything, but I did realize,
- 2:14:35Speaker 2: like when we I asked you this question before on
- 2:14:37Speaker 2: the show, how do you think humans will evolve next?
- 2:14:41Speaker 3: Like?
- 2:14:41Speaker 2: What will what will be the next thing we evolve to?
- 2:14:44Speaker 2: What will be the next human body evolution, depending on
- 2:14:47Speaker 2: what you're looking at now. In other words, we've evolved
- 2:14:50Speaker 2: to where we are now, to scale so we can
- 2:14:53Speaker 2: breathe underwater. Yeah, there you go. I mean so I will.
- 2:14:56Speaker 2: But I asked this question because I I I had
- 2:15:00Speaker 2: an answer to that, and it's a little supportive with
- 2:15:03Speaker 2: this story. I think I have a pretty good guess.
- 2:15:06Speaker 2: I look at this as some smoking gun evidence of evolution.
- 2:15:10Speaker 2: I'm going wisdom teeth. I think humans.
- 2:15:13Speaker 4: Will no longer produce wisdom teeth because we are already
- 2:15:16Speaker 4: pulling them out. Are somehow our bodies will teach our
- 2:15:20Speaker 4: future generations.
- 2:15:21Speaker 2: Yo, cut it back, we don't need it anymore. And
- 2:15:24Speaker 2: you know we've said sometimes obviously with the advent of
- 2:15:26Speaker 2: AI and what we were just on the cusp of
- 2:15:28Speaker 2: that right now, that as we become more reliant on machines,
- 2:15:31Speaker 2: we will need to like read and do less there,
- 2:15:35Speaker 2: So you know, you will you become atrophied and just
- 2:15:37Speaker 2: be become a little body that sits behind a computer
- 2:15:40Speaker 2: and relies on that to do everything for you. Right,
- 2:15:42Speaker 2: We've seen some future pictures of that baby. But there
- 2:15:45Speaker 2: is a term out there right now that is part
- 2:15:47Speaker 2: of this and it's called tech neck. Oh no, tech
- 2:15:51Speaker 2: neck is a true, real deal thing that's happening right now.
- 2:15:55Speaker 2: And obviously you already know what I'm talking about, right, Yeah.
- 2:15:58Speaker 2: The idea that you spend so much time looking down
- 2:16:01Speaker 2: at your phone, that the idea is is that your
- 2:16:05Speaker 2: body or bodies will slowly start evolving to where your
- 2:16:10Speaker 2: your face is already kind of pointing down toward the
- 2:16:13Speaker 2: thing that you watch the most. Oh oh wow.
- 2:16:16Speaker 4: Yeah, think about that stereotypical evolution chart, right and when
- 2:16:21Speaker 4: you see the prime going back down, We're going back down, dude.
- 2:16:26Speaker 2: We're slumping back over. We're slumping back over. As medical
- 2:16:30Speaker 2: concerns mount over chronic pain among young smartphone users, dubed technic,
- 2:16:34Speaker 2: experts are calling for new measures to counteract the phenomenon,
- 2:16:37Speaker 2: which they warn can potentially uh lead to on set
- 2:16:41Speaker 2: spinal problems. The warnings come and grow as growing as
- 2:16:46Speaker 2: a growing body of scientific literature points to an association
- 2:16:49Speaker 2: between excessive or addictive smartphone use and physical and muscular
- 2:16:54Speaker 2: skeletal strains such as technic cause when users hold their
- 2:16:58Speaker 2: heads forward for long periods of time while scrolling and texting,
- 2:17:02Speaker 2: leading leading to cervical spine problems and pain.
- 2:17:07Speaker 4: I mean, yeah, I think it's safe to say right
- 2:17:10Speaker 4: now that now I'm addicted to my phone.
- 2:17:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I think everybody is. And the funny
- 2:17:15Speaker 2: thing is, I think people who say there aren't they
- 2:17:17Speaker 2: aren't are and they just don't they don't realize.
- 2:17:19Speaker 4: I think they're a little bit more worse off. You
- 2:17:21Speaker 4: haven't even come to grips with it yet.
- 2:17:23Speaker 2: I don't know one person who doesn't have their phone
- 2:17:27Speaker 2: within reach of them almost the entire day of their life.
- 2:17:30Speaker 2: You know, there's not one time in my life, and
- 2:17:33Speaker 2: I'm one of them. I'm not I'm not throwing I'm
- 2:17:35Speaker 2: not throwing darts here. There is no time during the
- 2:17:38Speaker 2: day that my cell phone isn't within my reach, not
- 2:17:41Speaker 2: one time during my day.
- 2:17:43Speaker 4: You know, there's a lot of slacky when people are like, man,
- 2:17:46Speaker 4: I'll never put that microchip in front of my brain.
- 2:17:50Speaker 4: I'll never I'll never get anything implanted me over.
- 2:17:53Speaker 2: I'm gonna just hold them upside of my head. I'm
- 2:17:55Speaker 2: just gonna leave it in my pocket. Yeah. Yeah, man,
- 2:17:58Speaker 2: it's doing the same thing that technology will make its
- 2:18:03Speaker 2: way out through the phone and into your body. I
- 2:18:06Speaker 2: would say that would be the next evolutionary steps. It's
- 2:18:09Speaker 2: integrated into your body. Yeah, your phone, your your your device,
- 2:18:13Speaker 2: but it will be on your body like it'll be
- 2:18:16Speaker 2: a chip. It'll come through you. In other words, if
- 2:18:18Speaker 2: you don't Google anything anymore, you would just kind of
- 2:18:20Speaker 2: say it to yourself, like you know, hey, Google is
- 2:18:22Speaker 2: a Confederate flag, racist symbol, and it would just say
- 2:18:25Speaker 2: that into your head and then depending on your own
- 2:18:28Speaker 2: previous thoughts, it gives you that answer you have to
- 2:18:31Speaker 2: You never have to charge it. You never have to
- 2:18:33Speaker 2: worry about your phone losing a charge. It's built into
- 2:18:35Speaker 2: your body. If you're eating its charge, you take a nap. Yeahah, oh,
- 2:18:39Speaker 2: I gotta make a phone call. I gotta take a nap.
- 2:18:41Speaker 2: Isn't the watch almost the closest thing to that, really
- 2:18:43Speaker 2: that I watch? Yeah, I mean it is. You wear it.
- 2:18:47Speaker 2: I mean it's on your body. I mean it's not
- 2:18:48Speaker 2: integrated into your body, but it's on your body at
- 2:18:50Speaker 2: all times. Also with these glasses, right the Google View
- 2:18:53Speaker 2: wearable tech.
- 2:18:54Speaker 5: And you got the rings too that give you your
- 2:18:56Speaker 5: health information in order the you know, the bit that
- 2:19:00Speaker 5: count your step.
- 2:19:01Speaker 4: Call me crazy, don't think the glasses thing is it.
- 2:19:04Speaker 4: I don't see how Meta ray band all of that.
- 2:19:08Speaker 2: They're all in on that, dude. I know that they
- 2:19:10Speaker 2: are rebooting it and about to do a whole new
- 2:19:12Speaker 2: wave of those.
- 2:19:13Speaker 5: I don't see it because there's as the technology improves,
- 2:19:17Speaker 5: and I don't think they're far off to be being
- 2:19:20Speaker 5: able to do this translating real time when you're wearing glasses.
- 2:19:24Speaker 2: Yeah, we already know that they can do that with
- 2:19:25Speaker 2: the iPods or with the AirPods. We know that, remember
- 2:19:28Speaker 2: we just talked about the last week. In real time,
- 2:19:30Speaker 2: your AirPods can talk to somebody in a different language
- 2:19:32Speaker 2: and translate it in real time into your head.
- 2:19:34Speaker 4: And I think people are more likely to rock air
- 2:19:37Speaker 4: pods than glasses. Glasses are a big ask, that's super personal,
- 2:19:42Speaker 4: that's very vulnerable, it's very fashionable. It's the first thing
- 2:19:45Speaker 4: that people see, and it's a it's a big statement
- 2:19:48Speaker 4: just to have a computer attached to your eyeballs as well.
- 2:19:51Speaker 2: How would it if it wasn't planted, How would you
- 2:19:54Speaker 2: not pay your bill? I mean, I guess I could
- 2:19:57Speaker 2: just turn it off. I guess you get into service.
- 2:19:59Speaker 2: Anymore comes that justin Timberlake movie with the time with
- 2:20:03Speaker 2: the time. That movie that man, that movie sucks and
- 2:20:07Speaker 2: it deserves more? Does that is a and what a concept?
- 2:20:11Speaker 2: Do you know that? What we're talking about? Jack? Now?
- 2:20:13Speaker 2: So there's a Timberlake movie. Find out the name of it?
- 2:20:15Speaker 2: Is that what you're looking at?
- 2:20:16Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 2:20:16Speaker 2: Okay, very good. On your arm, you have a number,
- 2:20:20Speaker 2: a giant rime in time, a giant running number. Right,
- 2:20:24Speaker 2: that's how much time you left to be h that's
- 2:20:26Speaker 2: how much time you have left on planet Earth. That's
- 2:20:28Speaker 2: how time. That's all you can sell that? Oh my,
- 2:20:31Speaker 2: So that is the currency. That's the currency. So when
- 2:20:34Speaker 2: you go to do something you like, it cost a
- 2:20:36Speaker 2: minute or five minutes or six minutes or eight minutes
- 2:20:39Speaker 2: or a year or whatever the case may be. But
- 2:20:41Speaker 2: that's what you use. And it's displayed right on your forearm.
- 2:20:43Speaker 2: So like we still got a new car.
- 2:20:45Speaker 3: That was.
- 2:20:48Speaker 4: But you go out to a restaurant and they're like,
- 2:20:50Speaker 4: and the bill will be two and a half weeks.
- 2:20:52Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah, whoa, whoa, And then wealthy people live forever,
- 2:20:57Speaker 2: right yeah, because they're buying everybody's time. Yeah.
- 2:21:00Speaker 4: It really wasn't homage and we probably should have looked
- 2:21:02Speaker 4: into it when it came out back in twenty eleven.
- 2:21:05Speaker 2: But whatever, so prophetic, Yeah, are scary. Art imitates life
- 2:21:10Speaker 2: and life and it imitates the future. All right, four
- 2:21:13Speaker 2: oh seven nine one six one o four one Again,
- 2:21:15Speaker 2: you can always text us seven seven zero three one.

- 2:21:24Speaker 2: your phone on, turn it up and answer it when

- 2:21:45Speaker 3: six or something like that.
- 2:21:46Speaker 21: But I can't believe you never went too Rocky's replay
- 2:21:49Speaker 21: Grown and like I had my fourteen Oh my god,

- 2:22:08Speaker 20: Sub fam I love listening to the show and this
- 2:22:11Speaker 20: is exactly why I love listening to the show, because

- 2:22:19Speaker 20: just picked up my Shiatsu neck massager because I was
- 2:22:23Speaker 20: starting to get attention headache from staring at my computer

- 2:23:37Speaker 5: Tavari's in Puddle Jumpers, and then we finish up the day.
- 2:23:40Speaker 2: At Eden Abbey in Mount Dora. That's probably that's one
- 2:23:43Speaker 2: of my favorite stops. Actually, we go up to Eaton
- 2:23:45Speaker 2: Abbey on like Friday and Saturday nights, catch up live
- 2:23:48Speaker 2: music and great beer. And they have actually a good
- 2:23:49Speaker 2: menu there as well.
- 2:23:50Speaker 5: I've never been there, but I've just been dealing with
- 2:23:53Speaker 5: the owner and they are just lovely to deal with.
- 2:23:55Speaker 2: Yeah, they're great. I mean that place is like legendary
- 2:23:57Speaker 2: in the area and it is a cool spot. It's
- 2:24:00Speaker 2: actually we're driving out for they have good like acoustic
- 2:24:03Speaker 2: players that come out and uh and a really good
- 2:24:05Speaker 2: choice of beer and food.
- 2:24:06Speaker 5: That's so that's all the Sunday. Then I'm gonna try
- 2:24:08Speaker 5: and squeeze in the new Bruce Springsteen movie which came
- 2:24:11Speaker 5: out today, And then on Sunday, I think I'm gonna
- 2:24:14Speaker 5: go to this fiesta KaiA Orange. I am not intimidated.
- 2:24:18Speaker 5: I am not scared of a little Hispanic music, but
- 2:24:21Speaker 5: they also have food and of its and what we
- 2:24:23Speaker 5: had today from the al Kadero food truck is a
- 2:24:28Speaker 5: representative of what they're gonna have there. I am gonna
- 2:24:31Speaker 5: be eating some empanadas on Sunday, banadas, mufungo chicken, chi
- 2:24:36Speaker 5: your owns. It was absolutely delicious.
- 2:24:38Speaker 2: Thank you for all of that. What's more fun to say?
- 2:24:40Speaker 2: Chiach your own or mufungo, mufungo fungo. Plus we're gringos,
- 2:24:45Speaker 2: so gringo mufungo just words.
- 2:24:47Speaker 5: Yeah, So on this this Sunday, it's downtown or Orange
- 2:24:51Speaker 5: ab in between a million Livingston Street, two stages.
- 2:24:54Speaker 2: Live music.
- 2:24:55Speaker 5: They have some throwback stuff, I would you know, Hispanic music,
- 2:24:58Speaker 5: but they also.
- 2:24:59Speaker 2: Have throw back hip hop. There's a lot going on.
- 2:25:03Speaker 5: Ten bucks to get there, and also they're giving away
- 2:25:06Speaker 5: a Kia. The real radio tents will be set up,
- 2:25:10Speaker 5: all the station tents, all our sister stations will be
- 2:25:13Speaker 5: there as well.
- 2:25:13Speaker 2: This is gonna be a pretty big deal. It's only
- 2:25:15Speaker 2: ten bucks. That's awesome, very good all day long, very nice.
- 2:25:18Speaker 2: That's uh. That is tomorrow or Sunday, Sunday. Sunday Sunday Sunday, Sunday,
- 2:25:23Speaker 2: my weekend. I got no babysitter, so it's it's you, dog,
- 2:25:27Speaker 2: It's me, is the wife working all weekend? Yep, yeah yeah.
- 2:25:29Speaker 2: So I'm ripping and roaring with my son, and you
- 2:25:32Speaker 2: know what, I'm getting good at it. Good buddy. I
- 2:25:35Speaker 2: got two seats on the brew bus for oh my god,
- 2:25:38Speaker 2: oh my god, I only need one. This is true. Yeah,
- 2:25:42Speaker 2: you know, whate for the diaper bag I will need
- 2:25:45Speaker 2: to Could you imagine due here rolled in there with that,
- 2:25:48Speaker 2: with that nugget, people would lose their damn mind. Let's go,
- 2:25:51Speaker 2: you know, your little beer nugget. Look at you. I'm
- 2:25:54Speaker 2: gonna drink more and half the fans. I am smiling
- 2:25:57Speaker 2: just at that thought. I I recently there's a smoothie
- 2:26:00Speaker 2: place that I always take him to because he loves smoothies.
- 2:26:03Speaker 2: And that's like our little tradition is that we go
- 2:26:06Speaker 2: get smoothies extra almond milk because he doesn't like it
- 2:26:09Speaker 2: too thick because he doesn't have good lung PSI through
- 2:26:13Speaker 2: those small straw There you go.
- 2:26:14Speaker 4: But it's been really cool seeing the person working there
- 2:26:18Speaker 4: get wildly invested in my son's life because she only
- 2:26:22Speaker 4: gets to see him like randomly every ten or twelve days, yea.
- 2:26:26Speaker 4: And to make a random smoothie person get emotional when
- 2:26:30Speaker 4: I put on his shoes and.
- 2:26:32Speaker 2: I go watch he can walk now, And then it
- 2:26:35Speaker 2: hit her in the fields. Having a kid is Austin. Yeah,
- 2:26:38Speaker 2: it is very and it's only gonna get better until
- 2:26:42Speaker 2: eleven years old. Well that's a long ways away. Then
- 2:26:46Speaker 2: you will put that job up for sale on Facebook
- 2:26:47Speaker 2: market place. Oh yeah, that's what I'll ask you to
- 2:26:49Speaker 2: be like, hey, what are you doing with That's when
- 2:26:51Speaker 2: you will call me over to the riot Act buddy.
- 2:26:53Speaker 2: I'll come over there and just lay some ass down.
- 2:26:55Speaker 2: Are you let me ask you a question? I mean
- 2:26:56Speaker 2: we only have a couple of minutes here. I mean,
- 2:26:59Speaker 2: were you did you get spanked as a kid? I did,
- 2:27:03Speaker 2: But the most the worst punishment that I ever got
- 2:27:06Speaker 2: was not a spanking, like a spanking did not It
- 2:27:09Speaker 2: was like like a drunk dude to a taser. Spanking
- 2:27:13Speaker 2: didn't really do it for it, like a meth taser,
- 2:27:15Speaker 2: no effect, just pulled out and keep walking. Yeah. I
- 2:27:17Speaker 2: was like, oh wow, is this banana flavored? That's great.
- 2:27:21Speaker 2: Spanking didn't do it. It was when I got in
- 2:27:23Speaker 2: trouble from Collier County Public Schools. It was the disappointment
- 2:27:27Speaker 2: and stuff. Jack, did you get spanked?
- 2:27:31Speaker 5: No, there was always the threat, and I've talked about
- 2:27:35Speaker 5: it before. It was the licking stick. That's what it
- 2:27:37Speaker 5: was called, the licking to give give you a licking
- 2:27:40Speaker 5: and what thanks for clarifying, I've come to learn it
- 2:27:43Speaker 5: was like two paint stirs and they were taped with
- 2:27:46Speaker 5: a lot of tape and all these different colors, so
- 2:27:49Speaker 5: it it was a visual thing to behold, and it
- 2:27:53Speaker 5: was kept in that utensil drawer.
- 2:27:55Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, you know the one. Oh yeah. When
- 2:27:57Speaker 2: you heard that sumitch rip open, you just started running
- 2:27:59Speaker 2: for the woods. And my mom would just sit there
- 2:28:01Speaker 2: and wrap it against Yeah. Yeah, I had a teacher
- 2:28:04Speaker 2: that did that, yeah, with a paddle. Will Did Olivia
- 2:28:07Speaker 2: get spanked? Your wife? Yeah? So do you think are
- 2:28:10Speaker 2: you doing any of that with a kid? Have you
- 2:28:11Speaker 2: guys come to it? Have you guys formed a plan
- 2:28:13Speaker 2: of how you're going to discipline your child?
- 2:28:15Speaker 3: No?
- 2:28:15Speaker 4: I haven't really gotten to that that bridge yet, did you?
- 2:28:19Speaker 4: When they were a baby, I did a little spank
- 2:28:21Speaker 4: and we only did it a little bit.
- 2:28:22Speaker 2: I mean I was you spanked a thirteen month old. No,
- 2:28:26Speaker 2: not a thirteen month old, but I wore out a
- 2:28:29Speaker 2: five year old once. Oh all right, five year old.
- 2:28:31Speaker 2: That sounded terrible. I spanked a five year old. That
- 2:28:34Speaker 2: sounded worse. Anyway, I did corporal punishment on my children occasionally.
- 2:28:39Speaker 2: Let's not remember that. Let's dump all of that and
- 2:28:41Speaker 2: we do that. We have a two hour done, it's gone,
- 2:28:44Speaker 2: it's gone. But yeah, yeah, we did a little spankan man,
- 2:28:46Speaker 2: we just wanted to fear of God a little bit.
- 2:28:48Speaker 2: But really, to be honest with you, we were both
- 2:28:50Speaker 2: I'm not saying intimidating, we were both very intimidating. Well,
- 2:28:54Speaker 2: we were very we were present. Yeah, my kids even
- 2:28:57Speaker 2: to this day told me, you know, one time was
- 2:29:00Speaker 2: that they were terrified of me, And I told I
- 2:29:02Speaker 2: had no idea why. I did use my voice very
- 2:29:05Speaker 2: effectively against my kids.
- 2:29:07Speaker 3: Though.
- 2:29:07Speaker 2: It feels like you're the like the Ron art Tests
- 2:29:11Speaker 2: of the in the dad community. What Yeah, because the
- 2:29:15Speaker 2: peace guy or the metal world peace.
- 2:29:17Speaker 4: Yeah, he's Ron art Test is one of the greatest
- 2:29:19Speaker 4: defenders in NBA history, NBA champion, a phenomenal basketball player.
- 2:29:25Speaker 2: He would fight anyone. Yeah, yeah, I would not fight anybody. Uh,
- 2:29:30Speaker 2: but like, but look, here's the thing. Here's how I
- 2:29:32Speaker 2: looked at it. This is kind of how I was raised.
- 2:29:33Speaker 2: And we'll get the hell out of here without all this.
- 2:29:35Speaker 2: I thought it was necessary. It's like this. I wanted
- 2:29:39Speaker 2: my kids to listen to me when I spoke to them,
- 2:29:41Speaker 2: because I know more about life than they do, and
- 2:29:43Speaker 2: it was important that they listened to me. At that
- 2:29:45Speaker 2: stage in their life. They were gonna have plenty of
- 2:29:46Speaker 2: time to form their own opinions. The ones I was
- 2:29:49Speaker 2: trying to help with were there as tools to move
- 2:29:51Speaker 2: them forward in life, and I thought it was very important.
- 2:29:54Speaker 2: So I did what it took to set that in
- 2:29:56Speaker 2: and it worked. All right, there you go. Good to know.
- 2:29:59Speaker 2: So when they're five, yeah, yeah, who do we have
- 2:30:03Speaker 2: to think today?
- 2:30:03Speaker 16: Jack?
- 2:30:04Speaker 5: We want to give thanks Street Sarah for Feisty Trivia
- 2:30:08Speaker 5: for coming in, Thanks Sarah Fayaz Kara our prime time
- 2:30:11Speaker 5: kitchen segment and the restaurant critic for The Orlando Weekly.
- 2:30:16Speaker 5: We also want to thank Sarah and I'm sorry Candice
- 2:30:19Speaker 5: and Sam in the YouTube chat, and also thanking out
- 2:30:23Speaker 5: the Al Cardero food truck in here feeding us in
- 2:30:27Speaker 5: support of Fiesta KaiA Orange. Going to our YouTube chat.
- 2:30:31Speaker 5: The question was has the government shutdown affected you personally?
- 2:30:35Speaker 2: Where do you think it comes in? Jim, I don't
- 2:30:37Speaker 2: think many people have been affected personally. I'll go, I'll
- 2:30:39Speaker 2: go twenty eight percent. You had a really good week
- 2:30:42Speaker 2: with this twenty six percent. Yeah, yeah, yeah, because I
- 2:30:46Speaker 2: mean I haven't heard about it on the street a
- 2:30:47Speaker 2: whole lot. You have to be a federal worker. I
- 2:30:48Speaker 2: don't know many of those. So but I hope the
- 2:30:51Speaker 2: people who are affected are finding ways going to make
- 2:30:53Speaker 2: it through there, that's for sure. Food banks are struggling
- 2:30:56Speaker 2: right now too, So you know it's all part of
- 2:30:57Speaker 2: the entire package, for sure. All right, let's get out
- 2:31:00Speaker 2: here on behalf of Jack and Ross. I'm Jim. We
- 2:31:02Speaker 2: follow the news junkie. They follow the monsters of the
- 2:31:04Speaker 2: morning after us, it's Tommy dam with the Corvert. Time,
- 2:31:06Speaker 2: it is Orlando Shine, it is our friends from Real Laps,
- 2:31:10Speaker 2: and of course tomorrow it is nineties alternative rock all
