- 0:28operation and we are coming to you all right here, all right now,
- 0:32Krispy, how are you, my man? I'm very well made. That
- 0:35is the most energetic intro I've ever had the pleasure of sitting through. Mate,
- 0:39Thank you, Hey, we gotta do it. Listen, listen.
- 0:41We're here today to tell you, dear beautiful Australians, the Lady Beard is
- 0:46coming on tour to Australia with his group Baby Beard this June and July.
- 0:51So we all need to get a been excited Australia. We need to raise
- 0:54raise the tempo. We're here, sir with a man in bigtails. Are
- 0:59two adorable Japanese female That's what it's all about. And Crispy ha, thanks
- 1:04very much. Right, So, as you say, Baby Beard hit Australia
- 1:07for a run of shows dubbed The Adorable Assault on Australia Tour, starting in
- 1:12Adelaide over Dune the twenty eighth, the thirtieth, and heading to Melbourne on
- 1:17July the first and second, Sidney July the third and fifth, and finishing
- 1:19in Brisbane on July. There's sixth. It's nice to see you finally make
- 1:23it out here, brother, Thank you, my friend. We're big yeah
- 1:26yeah. So this group, if you don't know, my name's Lady Beard.
- 1:29I'm in a group called Baby Beard. It's me with two adorable Japanese
- 1:34ladies next to me. The we're all dancing, the girls are singing,
- 1:37I'm screaming. It's like baby metal, but with a giant bearded cross dressing
- 1:42Aussie in the middle. That's exactly what it's like and crispy now, so
- 1:47I come on to it, as the Christmasaurus tells you. Adelaide, Melbourne,
- 1:51Sydney, Brisbane, it's going down. It is on my Donkey Kong.
- 1:55The group is called Baby Beard, so it's Lady Beard. Fuss Babies
- 1:59equals baby Beard. It's very straightforward and we're coming for you. Listen.
- 2:01We've been trying to make this Australia to happen for a long time. We
- 2:05put this group together in twenty twenty. We all know what happened then made
- 2:08touring somewhat difficult. We had a plan two in twenty twenty not not happeny
- 2:14two in twenty twenty one, not not happening twenty twenty two. Ah.
- 2:16Three are finally twenty twenty four is the year of the Beard. Actually they've
- 2:23changed the Chinese zodiac so it actually is officially the year of the Beard.
- 2:27Four Australians only. So if you are in Adelaid, Belvine City, Brisbee,
- 2:31expect to see you of the adorable assaults on Australia too, or with
- 2:35baby beeing coming at you turn to lie. Now I've got to ask you
- 2:38made what is going to be so adorable about your assault on Australia. Ah
- 2:44listen, Well, first thing's first, Australia needs an assault. Let's just
- 2:49not mix out words. I mean, if there ever were a nation that
- 2:52just I mean the way the whole thing shaped, it's kind of like a
- 2:55board that you throw darts at, isn't it. They're the nation needs I'm
- 3:00assaulting, you know, out of the fact that Tasmania has broken off down
- 3:02there. That was the beginning of the assault. But now we need to
- 3:05complete the whole thing up. We need to break the country up into entirely
- 3:08separate sections. So the only way to do this, the only way you
- 3:13can efficiently, accurately, one hundred percent completely assaultanation, is with adorableness,
- 3:20because no one wants a disgusting land. Yeah, I'm gonna assault you here.
- 3:24There's no fine. You need to be assaulted with a little bit of
- 3:28This's gonna be a fantastic assault. So that's what we're here for. Hey,
- 3:32hey, Australia and your senses, we're smashing as all of yours.
- 3:37That was yeah, and it's gonna be the best. I don't think I
- 3:40even answered your question. I think it just made a bunch of you.
- 3:43You need to read a roundabout way. You had a round about way you
- 3:46did in your own beautiful way. Brother, I'm gonna have to get a
- 3:51PR person to just write down the actual answers to these questions and send a
- 3:54bit after late Lady Beer just gets on the camera, just just makes the
- 3:58microphone to store. It doesn't actually tell you any information, but as entitating
- 4:02wow, bless Yeah, thanks Chris, But hopefully hopefully I'll do it like
- 4:06I'm not Lady bed Like even another heavy metal band, very fair cool.
- 4:12That is quite fitting that you're starting to tour in Adelaide, which just happens
- 4:15to be your hometown. So are you nervous about performing in front of friends
- 4:18and family it might not have seen for a while. No, I man,
- 4:20I'm thrilled. I'm so excited. So in Adelaide, we're performing at
- 4:26the biggest anime convention in Adelaide, which is called Avcon. I'm not sure
- 4:30if it is now because the whole pandemic changed everything, but it always was
- 4:32the biggest anime convention in the Southern Hemisphere, so it was a big old
- 4:36deal. And I've been actually trying to get onto this convention for the past
- 4:42ten years. So I've been trying to do this convention since before I came
- 4:46to Japan, and then once I came to Japan did well in Japan.
- 4:49Every year we've been trying to get me on this show, and it's just
- 4:53every year it's been, oh, a scheduled clash, or oh some logistical
- 4:58problem or oh pandemic. So for ten years we were trying to make this
- 5:01appearance happen. Finally it's happening. I was so happy because this happening with
- 5:04the whole group with me and the girls, which is going to be wonderful
- 5:09when our video package and everything that we bring to the show, and it's
- 5:13really I'm really thrilled. Actually my parents and my friends and everyone get to
- 5:15see me perform on this big stage and it's really going to be a good
- 5:19time. So everyone in Adelaide, even if you're not in Adelaide, you
- 5:24should come to Adelaide for Avcon and then see us at the other shows as
- 5:27well. I reckon that's the best way to do it. And how long
- 5:30has it actually been since you've toured Australia at any capacity. It's been a
- 5:33long time. So I was at an anime convention in Sydney last year called
- 5:38Smash, but that was just a one and done. It was just come
- 5:40in, do the show in Sydney and then get out again. In terms
- 5:43of touring, last time I toured the whole country was twenty eighteen, I
- 5:46think, on the big in Japan tour. So it's been a while Between
- 5:50drinks. Australia, I have missed you, my dear countrymen and women and
- 5:54country others. I'm looking forward to seeing every single one of you your smiling
- 5:58faces. Last time we had a fantastic time. But last time was just
- 6:01me doing my solo act. So become to the shows. This time.
- 6:04You're gonna see the whole inchalade. You're gonna see me and the girls.
- 6:09It's gonna be a it's gonna be a theatrical spectacular. You're gonna see You're
- 6:15gonna see Chris Peters. We're gonna put Chris Peters in a frilly skirt and
- 6:18actually get the get that shaved twisted up into a bit of piggy tail action.
- 6:23Maybe the Beard will pigtail the bed. He's coming on stage. He's
- 6:28the fourth member of the group. What change of the group's name to Crispy
- 6:31Beard. Hey, this is gonna be amazing. I'm gonna have to stay
- 6:35home just so I can come now, no choice. For those unfamiliar with
- 6:43the story of Lady Beard, mate like, we'll get to the girls a
- 6:46little bit later. But for those I'm familiar with the story of Lady Beard,
- 6:48give us a brief rontdown on how you went from Adelaide to being a
- 6:53global superstar living in Japan. All right, listen up, Australia. Here
- 6:57is how it happened. I'm from Adelaide. I moved to Hong Kong when
- 7:00I was a youngest human and I was a stuntman and an actor and a
- 7:03voice actor. And I was doing that and life was great. Then the
- 7:06two thousand and eight financial crisis came and whipped the rug out front beneath everything
- 7:11I had built. So I said, well, now what I'm going to
- 7:13do? What am I going to do? There was now nothing to do
- 7:15in Australia, There was now nothing to do in Hong Kong. And I
- 7:17said, Hi, I've got an idea. I can solve all my problems
- 7:20by becoming a cross dressing pro wrestler heavy metal singer, which is an obvious
- 7:25choice. So I did, and then I started doing shows in Hong Kong
- 7:29and around the area, and I tour it to Japan and it went extremely
- 7:31well, and I said, there's my future. So then I moved over
- 7:33to Japan. I got hooked up with my first manager in Japan. Photos
- 7:38of me went viral on the internet, and then my first song with my
- 7:42first group, Nipon Mundru, went very very viral on the internet. And
- 7:46now it's been ten years or two in the world, doing a bit of
- 7:49the old Kawai medal, doing a bit of a skyrip bang with the girly
- 7:54girl dancing, and that it's a extravaganza. It is. Hey, it's
- 8:03been an unconventional heavy metal career. Let me put it in those terms.
- 8:07Conventional is a word. Had. The press release describes Baby Bead as combining
- 8:13colorful Japanese pop culture and relentlessly cute pigtails with heavy metal pro wrestling and choreograph
- 8:20dancers. Like pretty much sums it up. He'd made one picking converted,
- 8:24don't it well more? Let's listen. Hey, hey, well listen,
- 8:28it's a press release. We need to tell the people what's gonna happen.
- 8:31They tell the people what's gonna happen, so that they're not walking into this
- 8:33going what are these bearded babies? We had someone come to the show.
- 8:37He literally thought we had a bearded baby from the Amazon. He thought it
- 8:41was just gonna be a baby sitting on a chair crying while someone stroked its
- 8:45immaculate beard. But that's not what the show is. It's me and too
- 8:48adorable Japanese lady's doing a coin metal performance. We have to sort it out.
- 8:52My friends. I think it's actually probably fitting to point out here now
- 8:56too, because anyone watching this that isn't familiar with the might get the wrong
- 9:01impression. And it's actually a comedy show. But there's you're a funny break,
- 9:05which is onsonne. But your music is another thing in Charlie, it's
- 9:07a serious, proper stage performance, isn't it? One hundred and scents are
- 9:11very serious, is den. We would work as hard as we can to
- 9:13deliver the best show that we possibly can. So yeah, no, we're
- 9:16not a comedy act in like the sense of something like you know, the
- 9:20Key of Awesome or one of those comedy bands. That's not what we do
- 9:22at all. We're a kai metal group. So but here's the difference.
- 9:26Whereas most kai metal groups are a bunch of little girls who kind of just
- 9:31sing and dance like little girls with some heavy metal music behind them, we
- 9:35actually have a heavy metal singer as the front person, you see. So
- 9:37this is kind of the essential difference. There actually is screaming, there's proper
- 9:41metal behind the whole thing, and then on top of that we have a
- 9:45metal singer who actually does all the dancing, so look dancing like a little
- 9:50girl screaming like the Chris Posaurus, got my two girls with me. HiT's
- 9:54an extravaganza. And you know and somehow, I gotta tell you this is
- 9:58a real problem. Every time we do a show, some character calling himself
- 10:03a pro wrestler decides to take some kind of issue with Lady Beard storm the
- 10:07stage, decide he's gonna put an end to our amazing performance and we've brought
- 10:13across the oceans for you. Decides he's gonna shut this thing down. I
- 10:16need to deal with him, dispose him, get him off the stage so
- 10:18we can finish the performance. I need to tell you it's a nuisance.
- 10:24Bounce like it, not believe it. I did start life as a pro
- 10:30wrestler, just so do you understand this is the problem. A lot of
- 10:33people take issue with me, say things like Ah calls himself a pro Wrestler's
- 10:37not what a pro wrestler looks like with your pig tails in your dancing as.
- 10:39It's not what pro wrestling is. I'll show you what pro wrestling is,
- 10:43so you see what I'm saying. Listen, world's collide in this arena.
- 10:48Spectacular worlds are colliding. It's just like a Katie Perry Show, except
- 10:52there's no Perry and there's no Kady. There's Lady Beard too. Adorable girls,
- 10:56that's what it is. Speaking of those adorable girls you've got, they're
- 11:01both Japanese idols. And then Suzu and Mary. Is that the right nack?
- 11:05Mari, that's correct. Tell us a bit about them and their rolling
- 11:09baby bead. So both the girls, both in their early twenties. They're
- 11:13both very sweet, very adorable. Suzza Crispy. You've met Suzza before.
- 11:18She was one of our original members, and so when we first started telling
- 11:20you about the group, she was here with me. It's viewing with me.
- 11:22I was translating with it for her. She's very very sweet and so
- 11:26she is real, straight from the source, Japanese idol. So she is
- 11:31the real thing, my friend. One of the things we've been trying to
- 11:33do with this group is kind of get the Japanese pop culture and kind of,
- 11:37you know, bring it outside Japan somewhat, because if you're not in
- 11:41Japan and you can't speak Japanese and you're not kind of verse with the culture,
- 11:45there's a lot of really wonderful pop culture here that just you can't really
- 11:48get access to because it's kind of gate kept, not on purpose, just
- 11:52gate kept by the culture and by not knowing where to find it and how
- 11:58to experience and how to access it, you know. So that's kind of
- 12:00one of the missions with this group is to kind of break down these geographical
- 12:03barriers and cultural barriers and so forth. So is straight from the source Japanese
- 12:07idol. Mari is actually a very interesting case. While she is Japanese,
- 12:11she actually grew up all over the world. So Mari is a very interesting
- 12:16case because she is Japanese in terms of her genetics and whatnot, and she
- 12:20was born in Japan, but then she actually grew up all over the world.
- 12:22So she grew up in like in Panama, and then I think she
- 12:26lived in Sydney for a while, and then she kind of did her high
- 12:28schooling in Thailand. So she's very interesting because while she is a Japanese person
- 12:33and she is an idol, she's like a globalized idol. So we have
- 12:37quite the interesting dynamic here. We have a nasie, we have an internationalized
- 12:41Japanese girl, we have a straight from the source Japanese girl. It is
- 12:45we are bringing the Land of the Rising Sun to you Australia straight to you.
- 12:52Everything you could ask for from Japan coming to you in the form of
- 12:54this group and this show Fantassic, and you're going to be having jpop newcomer
- 13:01hill Gil Pider. It's the polexy girl Pider, that's correct. So tells
- 13:07about her and why she was chosen. You know, she's not the kind
- 13:09of artist that you'd normally talk about in a publication called heavy, but I'll
- 13:13tell you anyway. She's a don't be alive. She's a J pop singer
- 13:20from the United States. So it's very interesting now because as the world gets
- 13:24smaller and smaller with the Internet, this kind of this idle culture they have
- 13:28in Japan of these little girls doing the singing and dancing, which is very
- 13:31adorable, that's starting to be taken up by people outside Japan. So you
- 13:35have non Japanese people singing in Japanese and dancing in the Japanese style, but
- 13:41they're not Japanese at all. So Pider is one of those. She's an
- 13:45African American girl from Texas and she has blown up within the jpop jay rock
- 13:50scene recently, and so this is going to be her first time ever coming
- 13:54to Australia. So it's gonna be wonderful to have her with us on tour.
- 13:58I'm super proud her because I sort of mentored her a little bit earlier
- 14:01in her career, and so I'm so proud of I met her at a
- 14:05show in Texas in twenty sixteen or something and she interviewed me, and then
- 14:09afterwards she was like, I want to do this idle thing. We kind
- 14:13of sat down and she told me her plan and I was like, all
- 14:16right, cool, So I would advise you in the following ways. And
- 14:18I've kind of been, you know, advising her and mentoring her as best
- 14:20I can over the years, and now she's on tour with me. So
- 14:24I'm so proud of this girl. It's gonna be really wonderful to have her
- 14:26at the show. Everyone please come and support her as much as you can.
- 14:31And then we have another group called Amy's Project, who are a bunch
- 14:33of idols from Brisbane, so they are home grown at j Pop Stars,
- 14:37so everyone please come down and support. It's going to be a happy time.
- 14:41It will be indeed. Well that's all I've got for today, sir,
- 14:43Lady bed But the adorable assault on Australia Tour is on June twenty eight
- 14:50to thirty in Adelaide, July one and two in Melbourne, July three and
- 14:52five in Sydney, and July six in Brisbane. And where can people get

- 15:28be up over, which is We're gonna have to organize a licensing agreement with
- 15:33Canada because right now they've got a bit of a monopoly on being up and
- 15:37over. But we'll figure it out, like hey, hey, Babybeard,
- 15:41The Adorable Assault on Australia Tour and laid Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane. I
- 15:46cannot wait to see all of your beautiful people down
