- 0:00Speaker 1: Bootleg cap Podcast, bout Le Cap Show.
- 0:01Speaker 2: I have to ask, where did you get bootleg from?
- 0:04Speaker 1: So? When I had a new born baby, I was
- 0:08Speaker 1: in high school and I was bootlegging people's albums. I
- 0:11Speaker 1: was selling fake shoes, fake purses.
- 0:15Speaker 2: He was hustling.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Yeah, I was like seventeen eighteen as a swat me
- 0:18Speaker 1: had a vision. And then I'd come to the radio
- 0:20Speaker 1: station when I was interning, and I would bring like
- 0:23Speaker 1: like boxes of DVDs and shit and I'd sell them
- 0:26Speaker 1: to the morning show. And then the guy Joey Boy
- 0:28Speaker 1: started calling me Bootleg keV on the radio.
- 0:30Speaker 2: And do your fans know that?
- 0:33Speaker 1: I don't know, now they do.
- 0:35Speaker 2: I got an exclusive exclusive.
- 0:37Speaker 1: Period, so wheeties in the building, I am he, I
- 0:41Speaker 1: am new ep uh sweety. I have to ask, why
- 0:45Speaker 1: do we just get epeas from you?
- 0:46Speaker 2: So album that's.
- 0:48Speaker 3: The great That's a great question. Honestly, it's on the
- 0:51Speaker 3: way and I say that every time. But when I
- 0:54Speaker 3: would say that, that was like a filler statement. But
- 0:59Speaker 3: just to get you know, down to the ground and
- 1:01Speaker 3: real honest in this point, I've been searching for my
- 1:05Speaker 3: voice for so long. You had to imagine, like when
- 1:08Speaker 3: you pop off off of Icy Girl and you're thrown
- 1:10Speaker 3: into the game off of a car wrap, right. It
- 1:15Speaker 3: was difficult, you know, And it's really important for our
- 1:20Speaker 3: artists to feel comfortable and safe in the studio environment,
- 1:24Speaker 3: not that it could get dangerous, but in a creative element.
- 1:27Speaker 3: So the more I got to know myself, the more
- 1:32Speaker 3: I knew what I wanted.
- 1:33Speaker 2: You guys, I could hear you.
- 1:36Speaker 3: Yeah, And I think this is the first time where
- 1:42Speaker 3: I feel like I've discovered myself as an artist.
- 1:45Speaker 1: Do you feel like because you did blow up so fast,
- 1:48Speaker 1: and you know, I remember you had the brand deals
- 1:51Speaker 1: off the rib to make and then then and.
- 1:53Speaker 2: I still got them.
- 1:54Speaker 3: Shout out to way More on Spotify for giving me
- 1:56Speaker 3: them way More cars.
- 1:58Speaker 1: I had to wait my first way More experience in Austin,
- 2:00Speaker 1: Texas this past weekend, and I ended up punching the
- 2:03Speaker 1: steering wheel because it was fucking tripping, and then customer
- 2:06Speaker 1: service just started talking like it was God. And I'm
- 2:08Speaker 1: on mushrooms at the time, so I'm in Austin, I
- 2:11Speaker 1: punched the steering wheel. I'm like, what the fuck's going
- 2:13Speaker 1: on with this fucking devil ass car. Shout to Waymo though,
- 2:16Speaker 1: because they're cutting the check anyway, then out of nowhere,
- 2:19Speaker 1: the music stops and some guys like, excuse me, sir,
- 2:22Speaker 1: this is way more support. Does everything okay? And I
- 2:25Speaker 1: was like, God, what's up with Do.
- 2:28Speaker 3: You see how quick they came through? They did excellent
- 2:31Speaker 3: h excellent customer.
- 2:34Speaker 1: No, but but obviously, you know things happens happened so.
- 2:36Speaker 3: Fast for you, Yeah, to have a Matt Cosmetics deal
- 2:40Speaker 3: and to have a McDonald's deal before album is crazy.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Well I was gonna say, like, your celebrity becomes so big,
- 2:47Speaker 1: you obviously you end up in like the high profile
- 2:50Speaker 1: relationship and and you know, do you get to the
- 2:53Speaker 1: point where you're like, like you said, you're finding yourself,
- 2:56Speaker 1: do you do you kind of confuse who you are
- 2:59Speaker 1: and who Sweety is to the world?
- 3:00Speaker 3: Absolutely not, because Sweety was popping since high school, right,
- 3:04Speaker 3: was popping since MySpace. Like I would literally walk around
- 3:08Speaker 3: and people would be like, are you Sweety? That's how
- 3:10Speaker 3: pop in my MySpace was. So I was always Sweety.
- 3:13Speaker 3: I've always been.
- 3:14Speaker 1: It was always your thing.
- 3:15Speaker 3: It's just always been me, you know, it's in me,
- 3:18Speaker 3: not on me. And it's just like I've always operated
- 3:21Speaker 3: in that element right on Instagram.
- 3:24Speaker 1: By the way, I put that on my little update.
- 3:25Speaker 1: I put it's in me, not on me, and everyone said, hey, yo, Pauls.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Because as a man, I can't say it's in me,
- 3:32Speaker 1: not on me without it being gay. Anyway. Sorry, continue
- 3:35Speaker 1: little sidetracked there, But since high school, since my Space.
- 3:39Speaker 3: Yeah so, but I've always been in this element. Yeah,
- 3:45Speaker 3: so I've never thought that it was a separation. I
- 3:47Speaker 3: think it was more of an internal research. What do
- 3:51Speaker 3: I want to stand for? What do I want to
- 3:52Speaker 3: talk about? And when you get popping that fast, people
- 3:55Speaker 3: get excited and they're like, oh, you can do these
- 3:57Speaker 3: kind of records. But what I've learned is you can't
- 4:00Speaker 3: turn your back on what makes you great. So it's
- 4:02Speaker 3: like I had to go back to what was true
- 4:05Speaker 3: in my soul. And I feel like this ep is
- 4:08Speaker 3: is an elevation of what Icy Girl first came into.
- 4:12Speaker 1: Yeah, because I feel like you came out and it
- 4:14Speaker 1: was like you had the freestyle going crazy, and then
- 4:16Speaker 1: it turned into this, Like I mean from there, I
- 4:20Speaker 1: mean the the you just had like banger after banger
- 4:24Speaker 1: after banger, and then I feel like it got to
- 4:26Speaker 1: the point where you're like, Okay, you got a McDonald's meal.
- 4:30Speaker 1: I feel like I turned on a fight. You were
- 4:32Speaker 1: performing best Friend with those you can't you fuck, You're
- 4:34Speaker 1: fucking everywhere and there's still no album, which is like,
- 4:37Speaker 1: it's kind of like never happened.
- 4:38Speaker 2: Like this, Yeah, it never has.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Like you got so many hits, but there's still nobody
- 4:42Speaker 1: of work. I mean there are You've put out the
- 4:44Speaker 1: Dope mixtape with Draco on it.
- 4:45Speaker 2: And thank You, Yeah, lots of EPs.
- 4:47Speaker 3: But when it comes to a body of work, I'm
- 4:49Speaker 3: very sensitive about that because I really love music, like
- 4:51Speaker 3: I love.
- 4:51Speaker 2: Music down to the ground and around and a round.
- 4:54Speaker 3: So I didn't want to put out everything because the
- 4:56Speaker 3: album was done during the McDonald's deal, but I wasn't
- 4:59Speaker 3: feeling it like that. If I'm not waking up and
- 5:01Speaker 3: I'm not playing the music and I'm not addicted to it,
- 5:04Speaker 3: it's not what it's supposed to be. So I really
- 5:07Speaker 3: had to like dig deep. I didn't really take a break,
- 5:10Speaker 3: but to like the world. It looked like that because
- 5:12Speaker 3: I was off of social media for a lot, but
- 5:13Speaker 3: I was doing a lot of soul searching. So I'm
- 5:15Speaker 3: just like, what are we really talking about?
- 5:18Speaker 2: You know, right?
- 5:19Speaker 1: Do you feel like it's because when you get so big,
- 5:22Speaker 1: so quick, then so many more voices come into the pictures.
- 5:27Speaker 2: Come in absolutely because everybody wants a hand in.
- 5:30Speaker 1: The pot that's hot, right, Everyone wants a piece.
- 5:33Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:34Speaker 1: Yeah, So at what point in time was it during
- 5:36Speaker 1: that break where you kind of like were you able
- 5:38Speaker 1: to kind of like make your circle tighter and kind
- 5:40Speaker 1: of just hone in on like what what you want
- 5:43Speaker 1: to do?
- 5:47Speaker 3: I wouldn't say that, because the bigger you get, the
- 5:49Speaker 3: bigger the bigger, like everyone around you gets not bigger,
- 5:53Speaker 3: But like, it's just it's just a lot of opinions,
- 5:57Speaker 3: a lot of suggestions, and when you don't know yourself
- 6:00Speaker 3: as an artist. And I can say that honestly, you're
- 6:03Speaker 3: listening to everybody because it's just like, Okay, you guys
- 6:05Speaker 3: have done this before. You guys know what you're talking about.
- 6:07Speaker 2: No.
- 6:08Speaker 3: I feel like for every new artist that comes into
- 6:11Speaker 3: the game, as long as you know yourself and as
- 6:13Speaker 3: long as you're consistent, it'll pay off in the long run.
- 6:16Speaker 3: But I was experimenting too much, right.
- 6:18Speaker 1: What would you what would you say was the record
- 6:20Speaker 1: that you felt like got a little far away from
- 6:23Speaker 1: you where you were like this ain't me like I'm
- 6:25Speaker 1: I'm I'm doing too much with this ship. I listened
- 6:28Speaker 1: to the wrong motherfuckers. When this shit came out.
- 6:30Speaker 3: Was there like a record, Oh, I gotta, I gotta,
- 6:33Speaker 3: I gotta say this, and I know my fans are
- 6:35Speaker 3: gonna be like, bitch what. So before Best Friend came out,
- 6:41Speaker 3: I didn't like it such a bang. Yeah, I didn't
- 6:45Speaker 3: like it. I didn't like my voice on it. The
- 6:49Speaker 3: beat was crazy. But when I was writing to it,
- 6:51Speaker 3: I couldn't I couldn't catch it. And there was a
- 6:53Speaker 3: point where it's just like you've rewritten this verse so
- 6:55Speaker 3: many times. We gotta put it out, and I'm like,
- 6:58Speaker 3: all right, cool, let's put it out. But what I
- 7:00Speaker 3: do love about Best Friend is the community that it produced,
- 7:04Speaker 3: from the sensation that was had. You know, you saw
- 7:07Speaker 3: like mama's and daughters making contents, sisters make it. It was
- 7:10Speaker 3: just such a positive record. So I really love the
- 7:14Speaker 3: inspiration behind the record. But it took me so long
- 7:18Speaker 3: to just catch a vibe with it.
- 7:21Speaker 2: Don't you did her thing? She she went crazy, she
- 7:24Speaker 2: did her big one.
- 7:26Speaker 3: But when it was for me, I was It took
- 7:28Speaker 3: me so long to write to that record, and as
- 7:31Speaker 3: you can imagine, it's her universe and me on a verse.
- 7:34Speaker 3: A verse is a verse, but it was like a
- 7:36Speaker 3: verse that I kept rewriting because I just couldn't.
- 7:38Speaker 2: Catch a vibe.
- 7:40Speaker 1: Wow, one of your biggest songs, Yeah, what is your
- 7:42Speaker 1: biggest song ever?
- 7:43Speaker 2: At my type?
- 7:45Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 7:46Speaker 2: But my type.
- 7:46Speaker 3: I love my type, my type. I was lit in
- 7:48Speaker 3: the studio. It was coming from an emotional place.
- 7:51Speaker 1: And I said this, when you say an emotional.
- 7:53Speaker 3: Place, so when I look at so, I look at
- 7:58Speaker 3: when I wrote, when I wrote my When I wrote
- 8:01Speaker 3: My Type, at first it was a disc record to
- 8:04Speaker 3: an X to a person. I'm not going to tell you,
- 8:09Speaker 3: but the comments will tell you. Anyways, it was because
- 8:12Speaker 3: at first it was something else. It was new Whip
- 8:15Speaker 3: snoop right around did but then I changed it to
- 8:18Speaker 3: new New Snoop whip. But it was so it was
- 8:22Speaker 3: coming from an energy that was organic, you know, like.
- 8:25Speaker 1: Essentially you were telling your ex like I got some
- 8:26Speaker 1: new dick.
- 8:27Speaker 2: I didn't say that, right, but the original.
- 8:30Speaker 1: Version you did, I ain't say that right. So it
- 8:35Speaker 1: started as a disc.
- 8:36Speaker 3: It did as it did, but I changed it and
- 8:40Speaker 3: it became a global phenom.
- 8:43Speaker 1: It did it didn't? Uh?
- 8:46Speaker 3: You know, that song charted with no marketing, no budget
- 8:49Speaker 3: because there was another record that was the Focused track
- 8:52Speaker 3: at that moment.
- 8:52Speaker 1: Which one was that it was?
- 8:54Speaker 2: It was a record even though it was a little
- 8:58Speaker 2: one to three foul, but it wasn't the Flassics seven eight.
- 9:00Speaker 2: So let me be great.
- 9:02Speaker 3: When I had put out the Focused record, the other
- 9:04Speaker 3: song had charted with no promotion. Okay, so that was
- 9:09Speaker 3: like a really proud moment for me.
- 9:10Speaker 1: I literally want it.
- 9:11Speaker 2: I literally woke up.
- 9:12Speaker 3: I think billboards come out Monday or Tuesday, and I
- 9:15Speaker 3: was on the chart.
- 9:15Speaker 2: It was like new hot entry and there was no one.
- 9:18Speaker 1: This ain't even the one that we were.
- 9:19Speaker 3: Yeah, there was there was no bubbling around it. It
- 9:22Speaker 3: just entered and my type. I turned that in a
- 9:25Speaker 3: day before my EP was turned in A banger, big banger.
- 9:30Speaker 2: I stand on that, Yeah for sure.
- 9:33Speaker 1: Do you you know what one of my favorite records
- 9:35Speaker 1: you put out? I think, like ever is the is
- 9:37Speaker 1: it the Way record? Because it was very different for you.
- 9:39Speaker 1: It was a different beat it I don't think I.
- 9:41Speaker 2: Don't think it got the love that that it deserved.
- 9:45Speaker 1: It just was like a different vibe for you because
- 9:47Speaker 1: I feel like it was like in the like high
- 9:48Speaker 1: seventy bpm range. Usually you're like around like one hundred
- 9:51Speaker 1: hundred and five.
- 9:52Speaker 3: Yeah, but I feel like if that song would have
- 9:53Speaker 3: came out in the nineties, it would have been perfect.
- 9:55Speaker 1: Super viby.
- 9:56Speaker 3: Yeah, super viby is like I'm actually like spitting, like
- 10:00Speaker 3: I'm really engulfing every word that I'm saying. And you know,
- 10:04Speaker 3: it did this little little thing, but I was expecting
- 10:07Speaker 3: it to do this big thing.
- 10:09Speaker 1: Shout to the big things. Speaking of big things, you
- 10:11Speaker 1: have a new song called both of Them, And so
- 10:12Speaker 1: these are the you know you've are you aware of
- 10:16Speaker 1: the cultural significance of your Burken statements in the past
- 10:22Speaker 1: has been Yes, you've kind of.
- 10:24Speaker 2: Like I influenced the Burken economy.
- 10:26Speaker 1: Yes, so these are these are burkins? Is that what happens?
- 10:29Speaker 2: Yeah? Kelly or the crop both of them? Okay, that's
- 10:32Speaker 2: what it is.
- 10:32Speaker 1: What is this?
- 10:33Speaker 2: So this is the Kelly?
- 10:35Speaker 1: Okay, this is a Kelly? So what's this cost?
- 10:40Speaker 2: You know, it's a significant amount of Is.
- 10:43Speaker 1: This like more than fifty thousand dollars?
- 10:44Speaker 2: Absolutely?
- 10:45Speaker 1: Wow?
- 10:45Speaker 2: Both of them?
- 10:46Speaker 1: Is wow? So this is like a more than this one?
- 10:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:49Speaker 1: So this is probably like it's a Kelly Kelly, let
- 10:53Speaker 1: me google this.
- 10:53Speaker 2: And this is a smaller Burken. This is the baby broken.
- 10:56Speaker 1: So Kelly, how do you spell burken? B I are
- 11:00Speaker 1: Kelly Burkin? Okay, okay, okay, yeah, this is this is
- 11:04Speaker 1: one of these on on Ebays four hundred and seventy grand. So, yeah,
- 11:09Speaker 1: we don't have any water in the studio front room.
- 11:12Speaker 2: In the studio, you grow one wifey, Yeah.
- 11:15Speaker 1: My wife, I love her to death. But if you
- 11:20Speaker 1: know how you were talked earlier about the organs of
- 11:22Speaker 1: my name, yeah, boot Lake keV. So if my wife
- 11:26Speaker 1: ever got a burkein, I'm comfortable with being on the
- 11:28Speaker 1: record saying that.
- 11:30Speaker 2: What just makesure you get it some time?
- 11:31Speaker 1: It wouldn't be fake, it would be fake. H Yeah,
- 11:34Speaker 1: get him a bathroom bathroom keep yeah yeah, yeah, I
- 11:37Speaker 1: don't even know if they make fake berkins. Yeah, there's
- 11:39Speaker 1: one this three fifty that's Have you ever thought about
- 11:44Speaker 1: swapping one of these for like a piece of like
- 11:46Speaker 1: maybe an apartment complex in Sacramento or something. Yeah? Yeah,
- 11:51Speaker 1: So when you like carry these around, like, is there
- 11:53Speaker 1: anything like you know, I feel like i'd be careful
- 11:56Speaker 1: what I put in here if it spills, like if maybe,
- 11:58Speaker 1: if you like you wouldn't put a bottle of lotion
- 12:00Speaker 1: and a berking because what if you're absolutely open?
- 12:02Speaker 3: I actually have a lotion in here. I got it today.
- 12:04Speaker 3: You should have some. It smells really good.
- 12:07Speaker 1: I'll just be afraid that opens up and ruins my
- 12:10Speaker 1: five hundred thousand dollars piece of crocodile. Jesus Christ, thanks crazy,
- 12:18Speaker 1: I like it. So how many of these do you own?
- 12:31Speaker 2: Jesus?
- 12:32Speaker 1: This is crazy? My god, more than ten?
- 12:39Speaker 2: You know, I'm not sure.
- 12:41Speaker 1: So if my question to you is like, uh, do
- 12:43Speaker 1: you buy these for yourself? Or these like like gifts? Nice?
- 12:48Speaker 1: So if you get a gift from like an X,
- 12:49Speaker 1: do you do you say, okay, we were done? Do
- 12:53Speaker 1: they ask for it back? Because if I got like
- 12:55Speaker 1: a significant enough bag, I'd be like, hey, we're broken up,
- 12:59Speaker 1: do you mind if I get the bag back?
- 13:01Speaker 2: Do you mind if I get the bag back? You
- 13:04Speaker 2: know what? Why can't you ask that question again?
- 13:06Speaker 1: So let's say like you are dating a guy, right
- 13:09Speaker 1: and he gives you a burkin and you guys break
- 13:12Speaker 1: up and he's like, you know sometimes you break up
- 13:14Speaker 1: and you're like, let me get the engagement ring back right.
- 13:17Speaker 1: In this case, they would be like, hey, it didn't
- 13:19Speaker 1: work out. Do you remember that five hundred thousand dollars
- 13:21Speaker 1: person I bought you? Do you think can I get
- 13:24Speaker 1: it back? A nice nice, nice nice? That's probably the
- 13:29Speaker 1: right I mean, that's the right move, right, Yeah, I
- 13:32Speaker 1: like it. Okay, yeah, so more than Tennedy's. I feel
- 13:36Speaker 1: like you should trade these, you should get some crypto,
- 13:38Speaker 1: maybe some.
- 13:40Speaker 3: I have a The reason why I'm upposed is because
- 13:43Speaker 3: one day I'm have a baby.
- 13:45Speaker 1: Are you going to sell the purses for the baby? No?
- 13:47Speaker 2: No, no, no, don't do that. Don't do that. But when
- 13:51Speaker 2: I have a daughter, I want to give her all
- 13:52Speaker 2: my bags.
- 13:54Speaker 1: Do these increase in value over time?
- 13:56Speaker 2: Absolutely, especially if it's crocodile.
- 13:59Speaker 1: I like it. So these are investments. These are tokens
- 14:01Speaker 1: for the daughter in the future. Yes, what if you have.
- 14:03Speaker 2: A son, though, you know the son gonna get what
- 14:07Speaker 2: he gets.
- 14:08Speaker 1: I mean I've seen a lot.
- 14:09Speaker 2: Of he could probably get my jewelry.
- 14:11Speaker 1: There's a lot of straight rich men who carry burkins
- 14:14Speaker 1: on the side of Laker games.
- 14:15Speaker 3: But I feel like I feel like a man carried
- 14:16Speaker 3: a big, big barker. So he got a big barker,
- 14:19Speaker 3: but not the little one.
- 14:20Speaker 1: Do you think it's I don't know if I want
- 14:24Speaker 1: to say the word suspect, But is it a interesting
- 14:27Speaker 1: when you see a guy carrying a woman's purse as
- 14:31Speaker 1: a status symbol.
- 14:32Speaker 3: No, it's fashion, baby, Do you think it's fashion? So
- 14:34Speaker 3: it just always depends on how they play it.
- 14:36Speaker 2: Depends on how they play it.
- 14:38Speaker 3: That's how you can really get a sense of how
- 14:41Speaker 3: to really analyze the situation.
- 14:43Speaker 1: Like dude who wear like women's jeans, It depends on
- 14:45Speaker 1: how they wear, right.
- 14:47Speaker 3: I mean there's some really skinny boys out there, and
- 14:49Speaker 3: sometimes women's jeans look like men jeans on them.
- 14:51Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. It depends on how you do it.
- 14:53Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 14:55Speaker 1: By the way, I hope my man cook over here
- 14:58Speaker 1: with get weird ideas. We're not going out. Cooks cooks
- 15:01Speaker 1: the kind of guy who's got a man bag, you know,
- 15:03Speaker 1: like a satchel.
- 15:04Speaker 3: Can't have no purse, cook, I'm not gonna lie a
- 15:08Speaker 3: malely maley ban a manly manly man with a satchel.
- 15:12Speaker 2: I think it's cute.

- 24:56Speaker 1: Northern California Mount rushmore. So we got Mac Tray. It's
- 24:59Speaker 1: a good one.
- 25:00Speaker 2: I can't do three.
- 25:01Speaker 3: I'm gonna say my favorite though, Mac Dre shout out
- 25:06Speaker 3: to two short I sampled two of his songs. I'll
- 25:08Speaker 3: probably sample some more. And we do have a song
- 25:12Speaker 3: coming out forty jacka okay, rest in peace, slapping Jack.
- 25:23Speaker 3: And honestly, a lot of people don't give her her props,
- 25:25Speaker 3: but I feel like Kamaia has one of the best
- 25:28Speaker 3: first debut albums. I remember when that shit came out,
- 25:31Speaker 3: crazy like, I was so inspired, and.
- 25:35Speaker 1: She's got one of the most unique tones and she has.
- 25:38Speaker 3: Yes, it's like when she came out, I listened to
- 25:43Speaker 3: that ship every morning, afternoon, night, like I lived and.
- 25:47Speaker 2: Breathed that album.
- 25:48Speaker 1: She's incredible.
- 25:49Speaker 2: A good night in the ghetto, That's what it was,
- 25:50Speaker 2: all right.
- 25:50Speaker 1: Yes, that's a good one.
- 25:54Speaker 2: Definitely. Pilo. I love Pelo. He's he's so because he's
- 25:58Speaker 2: a producer.
- 25:59Speaker 1: A writer in a raw, amazing talent to go.
- 26:01Speaker 2: Because when he pulled up to the studio to do
- 26:02Speaker 2: a song. It's just him.
- 26:04Speaker 3: He got his team, but it's him doing all the like,
- 26:07Speaker 3: you know, the facilitating and the conferations.
- 26:13Speaker 1: Who else, maybe some hell gang in there, MASI from Sack, Yeah.
- 26:22Speaker 3: Definitely my come on, shout out some motherfucker Wrechie Rash.
- 26:29Speaker 2: Keep it on the rail.
- 26:32Speaker 3: Three times crazy. So let's talk about that. And I
- 26:39Speaker 3: have a lot of more people on my list. If
- 26:40Speaker 3: I didn't name you, my mind is just going everywhere.
- 26:43Speaker 3: Right now is press day. But shout out to the bay,
- 26:45Speaker 3: Shout out to everything that you've done for the culture,
- 26:48Speaker 3: and shout out for you guys just paving a way.
- 26:51Speaker 3: There's a lot of people that I should name, but
- 26:53Speaker 3: I can't think of them right now. But I want
- 26:54Speaker 3: to get to that. Would you just ask me?
- 26:57Speaker 1: I don't know, but it was a good question.
- 27:00Speaker 2: What do you just ask me?
- 27:01Speaker 1: I said, well, you said three times crazy, and I said, damn,
- 27:04Speaker 1: how old are you?
- 27:05Speaker 2: Oh? Yeah, no, no, no, I do want to talk about that. Yes,
- 27:07Speaker 2: So shout out to my mom and my daddy.
- 27:09Speaker 3: Shout out to my daddy because in the beginning of
- 27:11Speaker 3: my childhood I lived with him for.
- 27:13Speaker 2: A lot of time, but he was big hip hop
- 27:16Speaker 2: head black car, big subs in the car.
- 27:19Speaker 3: So we were slapping the hood stars, we were slapping Jacka,
- 27:22Speaker 3: we were slapping you know, just that era in the
- 27:25Speaker 3: bay and I remember, wait.
- 27:28Speaker 2: Who is the who? Tonight is going down?
- 27:40Speaker 3: It's going TONIGHTMX.
- 27:46Speaker 1: That remix is crazy with forty on it.
- 27:49Speaker 2: And then so I feel like one of the one of.
- 27:53Speaker 3: So there's two songs that really stand out in my
- 27:55Speaker 3: childhood and I want to talk about them real quick.
- 27:58Speaker 3: Shout out to my dad, Like I said, he had
- 28:01Speaker 3: the big truck, big black truck with the subs in
- 28:03Speaker 3: the back. And there's two songs that stand out to me.
- 28:05Speaker 3: I remember when this is a Slumper came out.
- 28:08Speaker 2: And like as a kid, I didn't.
- 28:12Speaker 3: Know what a slumper was, Like I know it's like
- 28:14Speaker 3: like the big bass z x y Z. But I
- 28:18Speaker 3: remember he asked me because he would play it all
- 28:19Speaker 3: the time. He would slap it all the time and
- 28:21Speaker 3: he'd be like, so he calls me d D. He
- 28:24Speaker 3: like he like, did D you know?
- 28:26Speaker 2: He riding doing whatever he doing? He's like, is this
- 28:29Speaker 2: a slumper? And I was just like I didn't. I
- 28:33Speaker 2: couldn't answer it. And he was like what he said,
- 28:36Speaker 2: this was show a slumper.
- 28:37Speaker 3: So the next time he asked me another question is
- 28:39Speaker 3: when the Grown Man song came out, and then when
- 28:43Speaker 3: a Growl Man remix came out, he was like, he
- 28:46Speaker 3: was like, DIDDI is do you get your Growl Man on?
- 28:49Speaker 2: And because I didn't say yes last time, I was luck.
- 28:53Speaker 2: I was like yes and he was like, no, the
- 28:55Speaker 2: hell you don't.
- 28:58Speaker 3: So those were the two saw that stand out to
- 29:01Speaker 3: me because I had such a like dope interaction with
- 29:03Speaker 3: my dad, but he's so cool and like growing up,
- 29:07Speaker 3: I'm so happy that I had a parent from the
- 29:09Speaker 3: Bay raising the bay, because that's all we would listen to.
- 29:12Speaker 1: Did your parents pull up to McDonald's in order the meal?
- 29:14Speaker 1: Like right away? We finna get that.
- 29:18Speaker 2: When I had my brand.
- 29:19Speaker 3: New absolutely everybody who knew me was running it up.
- 29:22Speaker 3: It was such a big moment to me and such
- 29:24Speaker 3: a big deal. And I just want to thank McDonald's because,
- 29:26Speaker 3: like I said, I have no album out, you know,
- 29:29Speaker 3: and for them to pick me at such a premature
- 29:33Speaker 3: stage in my career, I'm very thankful for that because
- 29:35Speaker 3: it gave me so much exposure.
- 29:37Speaker 1: If you were to start your own restaurant, what kind
- 29:39Speaker 1: of food would you serve seafood? Seafood?
- 29:41Speaker 2: I would do like boiling crab vibes.
- 29:44Speaker 1: So you you're like in the spot with the with
- 29:47Speaker 1: the bib, just tearing shit apart.
- 29:51Speaker 2: I don't need a bib.
- 29:52Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I hate. I always cut myself.
- 29:54Speaker 3: I always when you crack, you gotta crack away. When
- 29:56Speaker 3: you crack it towards you, that's when you splatter.
- 29:59Speaker 1: Now I'm the worst. I always slice a finger open
- 30:01Speaker 1: a thumb.
- 30:02Speaker 2: I only I only slice my finger if it's c
- 30:04Speaker 2: king crab.
- 30:05Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I'm so. Do you like crawfish?
- 30:08Speaker 2: I love crawfish, but I don't eat the poop.
- 30:12Speaker 1: See that's the only thing about Like if I could
- 30:14Speaker 1: see the poop in the shrimp.
- 30:16Speaker 2: I'm not eating it.
- 30:17Speaker 1: I don't want this. I don't want to see the ship.
- 30:18Speaker 2: Yeah.

- 30:22Speaker 1: Yeah, no, for sure. When you heard this the beat
- 30:25Speaker 1: for both of them, did you recognize the young Buck sample?
- 30:27Speaker 2: Absolutely, I'm a sample.
- 30:30Speaker 1: I think I make sure it's such a great sample,
- 30:32Speaker 1: and the way it was flipped was amazing.
- 30:34Speaker 2: Yeah. Shout out to j White. He did a big
- 30:37Speaker 2: one on that.
- 30:38Speaker 3: But when I first heard it, I think I.
- 30:41Speaker 2: Was just like m because that's how it comes in it.
- 30:48Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a banger. Were you like like a g
- 30:55Speaker 1: UNIT fan? Two?
- 30:56Speaker 2: Absolutely?
- 30:56Speaker 1: Yea?
- 30:57Speaker 3: And I love when they did that girly records like
- 30:59Speaker 3: smile Smile.
- 31:01Speaker 1: I want to I want to get to know what
- 31:04Speaker 1: happened to Joe Man. Where's Joe at doing? Like an
- 31:07Speaker 1: old school concert and Stockton or something? What's up with
- 31:10Speaker 1: Joe Man? He had bangers fucking all the g Unit collabse.
- 31:15Speaker 1: I want to know what I want to get? So

- 31:22Speaker 2: Make listening? Oh see, look at y'all not lock in?
- 31:26Speaker 1: What What is the craziest thing you're keeping it back?
- 31:28Speaker 1: Hillary cldt't have some hot sauce?
- 31:29Speaker 2: What do you got the craziest thing? I've had some
- 31:31Speaker 2: hot sauce.
- 31:33Speaker 1: I just want to know what's kept in a six
- 31:35Speaker 1: figure purse? That's is it? Like a makeup?
- 31:37Speaker 2: Is a gold phone?
- 31:38Speaker 1: A gold phone? Okay? Yeah that's crazy. Where do you
- 31:41Speaker 1: get a gold phone? Anyway?
- 31:42Speaker 3: Actually it was a gift and I'm listening to you.
- 31:44Speaker 3: I just want to reapply my lip glosster.
- 31:46Speaker 2: It is that's fine, Boom got to reapply absolutely.
- 31:51Speaker 1: How many times a day do you reapply? Is it
- 31:53Speaker 1: like twenty.
- 31:53Speaker 2: Thirty maybe one hundred?
- 31:55Speaker 1: That's a lot jesus.
- 31:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 31:57Speaker 1: Well look the EP's out, go support any tour stuff
- 32:01Speaker 1: coming soon or.
- 32:03Speaker 2: Let's manifest real quick.
- 32:04Speaker 3: My goal is before I do like my first American run,
- 32:08Speaker 3: I would love to open up for a major artist.
- 32:12Speaker 1: Yeah, is there is there anybody in mind that you'd
- 32:16Speaker 1: be like, Yo, I'd love to go on.
- 32:17Speaker 3: Honestly, I just want to put the paint where it ain't.
- 32:19Speaker 3: So it's just like I would just be grateful to
- 32:21Speaker 3: open for somebody you.
- 32:22Speaker 1: Know for sure? Who ye shout out to your record
- 32:32Speaker 1: Red Brand Scales. It's been interrupting our interview the entire
- 32:35Speaker 1: time because he's unprofessional and at his job anyway.
- 32:39Speaker 3: But yeah, a major tour because I love I love
- 32:42Speaker 3: touring now I love performing. You know, there was a
- 32:44Speaker 3: time in my career where I didn't like really love it,
- 32:47Speaker 3: only because I wasn't being developed. So it was just
- 32:49Speaker 3: like icy girls popping millions of stranger go perform Baby.
- 32:55Speaker 3: I got on that stage and I was like, it's
- 32:59Speaker 3: just a different experience. And if you know, you know,
- 33:01Speaker 3: you only know if you're an artist. So I was
- 33:03Speaker 3: like being torn apart in the beginning of my career
- 33:05Speaker 3: because I didn't have presence.
- 33:08Speaker 2: And you know, some people are born.
- 33:09Speaker 3: With it and that's cool, but I identify my strengths
- 33:12Speaker 3: and my weaknesses. It wasn't my strength. And over time,
- 33:16Speaker 3: the more I got used to it, the more I
- 33:18Speaker 3: got used to it.
- 33:19Speaker 2: I loved it.
- 33:20Speaker 1: Yeah, I feel like you gotta get comfortable, you got
- 33:22Speaker 1: to rehearse.
- 33:23Speaker 3: Yeah, and some people are born with it, for sure,
- 33:25Speaker 3: and that's that's and that's beautiful.
- 33:27Speaker 2: Unfortunately I'm not. So I got to get in the gym.
- 33:30Speaker 1: And it's because I remember when you did the boxing match.
- 33:33Speaker 1: They were coming at you when you did the boxing
- 33:35Speaker 1: and halftime.
- 33:35Speaker 3: Absolutely, yeah, yeah, I think I just one thing about
- 33:39Speaker 3: me is like I think a toxic trait is I
- 33:41Speaker 3: love a challenge, and I think like when I was
- 33:44Speaker 3: given the show, it was like, Okay, I don't know
- 33:48Speaker 3: if I can do this, but let me try it.
- 33:49Speaker 3: When it's time for a show. Time you can't try,
- 33:51Speaker 3: you gotta do you just got to do it. Yeah,
- 33:53Speaker 3: So instead of trying it, I should have just done it.
- 33:55Speaker 2: And if I couldn't try it, then don't do it.
- 33:58Speaker 1: You know, I respect it. Well, look sweetie, go support
- 34:01Speaker 1: the new music and uh, she's got what you got?
- 34:04Speaker 1: Brand deals with Waymoor, what else you got or anything else?
- 34:06Speaker 1: We can talk way more on Spotify, way more and Spotify.
- 34:09Speaker 2: Way more on Spotify.
- 34:10Speaker 3: But I've never had a high fashion deal, so this
- 34:12Speaker 3: year I am. I'm expecting it.
- 34:16Speaker 1: Louis, Gucci, Fendy.
- 34:19Speaker 2: Whatever makes sense, Burkin, whatever makes sense.
- 34:23Speaker 1: I feel like you've done more for Burkeen than Gez
- 34:25Speaker 1: did for Air Force Ones at this way.
- 34:27Speaker 2: But you know, they did take the talking bags thing.
- 34:32Speaker 1: What's that mean?
- 34:33Speaker 3: So I initially had the Burke and Brets where the
- 34:36Speaker 3: bags were talking, and then they did a campaign where
- 34:39Speaker 3: the bags were talking.
- 34:41Speaker 1: You see the bag we are mushrooms. They talk.
- 34:43Speaker 2: Oh no, no, no, you know c G I you know,
- 34:45Speaker 2: oh okay.
- 34:47Speaker 1: Oh in the video.
- 34:48Speaker 2: Yeah. During COVID, I was bored.
- 34:51Speaker 3: And what's crazy is the boredom was the fruition of
- 34:54Speaker 3: me being content queen, and because I love shooting content,
- 34:57Speaker 3: but because I was working so much, I didn't have time.
- 35:00Speaker 3: I'm a shoot content, but I had all the time then,
- 35:02Speaker 3: so I shot a segment called the Burking Brats and
- 35:05Speaker 3: my Burkans were talking and then now they did it
- 35:08Speaker 3: two years later they did it, and I love that.
- 35:11Speaker 2: I love to inspire.
- 35:12Speaker 1: Do you think we could somehow get you to bring
- 35:14Speaker 1: back coach and Michael Cors.
- 35:16Speaker 2: Just for I feel like it's back?
- 35:18Speaker 1: Is it?
- 35:18Speaker 2: I feel like the people who've.
- 35:19Speaker 1: Done it, But I feel like if you wore a
- 35:21Speaker 1: coach of Michael Cors, who would help so many men
- 35:23Speaker 1: in the world. Really, yeah, oh my god, I'd be
- 35:25Speaker 1: like show we'd got that new coaching, she got that
- 35:29Speaker 1: new DOONI and Burke.
- 35:31Speaker 2: I feel like they've been doing a great job with
- 35:33Speaker 2: their campaigns.
- 35:33Speaker 1: We should get you. Can we get you in a
- 35:35Speaker 1: coach just for a photo shoot? Just to help the
- 35:38Speaker 1: men of the world. You have man fans. We don't
- 35:40Speaker 1: want to spend all this money on purss a nice
- 35:43Speaker 1: coach camp.
- 35:44Speaker 2: And you know what's so interesting about my show? There'd
- 35:46Speaker 2: be a lot of men there, and that.
- 35:49Speaker 1: Actually not that interesting, to be honest, kind of expected.
- 35:56Speaker 1: I mean, a lot of men come see Sweetie, just
- 36:01Speaker 1: like a lot of women go see Chris Brown.
- 36:03Speaker 2: Okay, you know, respectfully, thank.
- 36:07Speaker 1: You, sweetie. I appreciate you hanging out, be on the
- 36:09Speaker 1: lookout for all the greatness and go support her new EP.
- 36:13Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 36:13Speaker 3: No, really, it's out, guys, And I'm super proud of
- 36:16Speaker 3: this project. You know, sometimes when you put something out,
- 36:20Speaker 3: was like throw it out and then you know you
- 36:21Speaker 3: gotta go hide a little bit because you don't know.
- 36:23Speaker 3: This time, I know, I'm really proud of pressure both
- 36:27Speaker 3: from Twins superstars and I need some. I feel like
- 36:32Speaker 3: I need some was a different side of me though.
- 36:34Speaker 3: I was telling my fans it feels like sweet a
- 36:37Speaker 3: like shot.
- 36:38Speaker 2: A sweet ay.
- 36:39Speaker 1: I see what you did there. You're a big sho fan.
- 36:44Speaker 3: Is it was really big on I forgot it was
- 36:52Speaker 3: in the bay.
- 36:53Speaker 2: But the storm whatever, the oldest.
- 37:00Speaker 3: That was growing up coming on after after like you
- 37:03Speaker 3: know nine pm, were you like tapped into like.
- 37:06Speaker 2: The slower side o Jim oh, Jim, I was like
- 37:09Speaker 2: played so much?
- 37:10Speaker 1: You know what I just was listening to? Do you
- 37:12Speaker 1: remember that song by Rome? Every time I see your
- 37:17Speaker 1: face it makes me sing.
- 37:21Speaker 2: It makes reminds me crazy.
- 37:23Speaker 1: She reminds me of being on the phone at twelve.
- 37:25Speaker 2: Yes, yes it was. That is when people actually called
- 37:28Speaker 2: it and put their request.
- 37:29Speaker 1: You ever get on the party line. The party line
- 37:32Speaker 1: was lid Doug that she was like the first tumbler
- 37:34Speaker 1: or what not? Tumbling. What's the ship called the tender?
- 37:37Speaker 1: That's like the O G tender. You go on that
- 37:38Speaker 1: party line like, yeah, what's up? I'm over here on
- 37:42Speaker 1: the south side. Finis.
- 37:43Speaker 2: Honestly, when I first came out, were you want it?
- 37:48Speaker 2: I was?
- 37:49Speaker 3: But I wasn't that good because I had a cousin
- 37:50Speaker 3: who had a mouthpiece, and the way she would just
- 37:54Speaker 3: and the way I would, I.
- 37:55Speaker 2: Just I quit.
- 37:56Speaker 1: Did you ever do the chats like the chat rooms?
- 37:58Speaker 2: No, but I was on party line.
- 38:00Speaker 1: Party line was.
- 38:01Speaker 3: But I didn't really do my thing on party line,
- 38:03Speaker 3: but my cousin did, so it was it was fun
- 38:05Speaker 3: to watch her do her thing.
- 38:06Speaker 1: Shout your cousin, all right, Well look sweetie, I thank
- 38:08Speaker 1: you for hanging out with me once again. Thank you,
