A 42-year-old man named Maurice Daniels was fatally shot by six police officers early Sunday near Walbrook Junction Shopping Center after a high-stakes confrontation involving a reported stolen vehicle. Officers claimed they saw what appeared to be a gun, prompting multiple shots. A replica BB gun was later recovered from the car.
