Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
• 0:02
Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. In this episode, we're diving right back in
• 0:06
Speaker 1: to Ted Waite and his conversation with Congress. Question. I'd
• 0:13
Speaker 1: like to enter as majority exhibit to an email dated
• 0:16
Speaker 1: with the subject line Hey, it'll be passed out right now.
• 0:19
Speaker 1: This is from Glenn Maxwell to Ted Waite. The email
• 0:22
Speaker 1: is marked EFTA number ending in five eight one four
• 0:26
Speaker 1: question by miss Cathay. And we'll wait until they get
• 0:30
Speaker 1: passed out and you can take a second to review
• 0:33
Speaker 1: and then let us know when you're ready to resume.
• 0:36
Speaker 1: Do you recall receiving this email from miss Maxwell in
• 0:38
Speaker 1: two thousand and four? Answer? I do not. Question have
• 0:42
Speaker 1: you ever seen this email before? Answer only in preparation
• 0:46
Speaker 1: for the testimony? Question And we understand Jaye in the
• 0:49
Speaker 1: email is meant Jeffrey Epstein. Did you also understand Jaye
• 0:53
Speaker 1: to be Jeffrey Epstein. Answer? I would assume so. Question,
• 0:56
Speaker 1: would you please explain in general what miss Maxwell is
• 0:59
Speaker 1: saying in this email with the subject line hey at
• 1:02
Speaker 1: the top of the page. Answer I assume she's talking
• 1:05
Speaker 1: about how she's going to define her relationship with mister
• 1:09
Speaker 1: Abstein with me in her life. Question and to clarify
• 1:12
Speaker 1: for the sake of the record. When miss Maxwell is
• 1:14
Speaker 1: referring to quote our relationship in the email, is she
• 1:18
Speaker 1: referring to her relationship with you? Answer? I don't know.
• 1:21
Speaker 1: I assume reading that it was talking about her relationship
• 1:24
Speaker 1: with mister Ebstein, her work relationship with mister Abstein. But
• 1:28
Speaker 1: maybe it's our relationship. I can It's not clear, Miss Callen, Yeah,
• 1:33
Speaker 1: it's not clear. Miss Cathay understood, mister squaw Danny, that's
• 1:38
Speaker 1: a message she wrote, Mister Waite, it's a message she
• 1:41
Speaker 1: wrote that you're asking about. Yeah, so I don't know
• 1:45
Speaker 1: whether the hour. I don't know whether the hour means
• 1:48
Speaker 1: Epstein or me. Question. Thank you to the best of
• 1:51
Speaker 1: your knowledge. What was your reaction to this email when
• 1:54
Speaker 1: you received it? This was sent to you by Glaine.
• 1:58
Speaker 1: Answer again, I don't recall. Question. Did you know generally
• 2:03
Speaker 1: that miss Maxwell was discussing her relationship with you with
• 2:06
Speaker 1: mister Epstein. Answer yes. Question In the email, miss Maxwell
• 2:10
Speaker 1: says essentially that mister Epstein is reviewing the logistics of
• 2:14
Speaker 1: your relationship and their relationship. Is that an accurate characterization,
• 2:19
Speaker 1: Miss Callen, I don't know. That that's clear, mister Waite. Yeah,
• 2:23
Speaker 1: Miss Cathay understood. In the email, though, she is saying
• 2:26
Speaker 1: that he is reviewing the aspects of our relationship. Where
• 2:31
Speaker 1: does it say that, asked mister claw Danny, Miss Cathay.
• 2:35
Speaker 1: It's in the second line before it ends, before without
• 2:38
Speaker 1: impeding my plans. He's reviewed all the ways for us
• 2:42
Speaker 1: to remain close without impeding any plans or fun that
• 2:45
Speaker 1: we may have. Miss claw Danny, it sounds like she's
• 2:49
Speaker 1: reviewing the ways for her and Epstein to remain close.
• 2:51
Speaker 1: That's how I'm reading it, Miss Cathay. Question, you have
• 2:55
Speaker 1: no reason to believe that she's talking about a relationship
• 2:57
Speaker 1: with you and logistics of how that will work with
• 3:00
Speaker 1: mister Epstein being involved. Answer? Yeah, I think it was.
• 3:04
Speaker 1: I'm reading it as two separate things. You know, I
• 3:06
Speaker 1: was reading it as her work relationship with mister Epstein
• 3:10
Speaker 1: and me being in her life. Question we can step
• 3:14
Speaker 1: back and make it more general though, based on this
• 3:16
Speaker 1: email and what we're seeing here, did miss Maxwell need
• 3:19
Speaker 1: to be discussing her relationship either with mister Epstein or
• 3:22
Speaker 1: with you and how those two would work together. Answer?
• 3:26
Speaker 1: I don't know. Agree that is a bit odd. Question
• 3:29
Speaker 1: do you think miss Maxwell was seeking mister Epstein's approval
• 3:32
Speaker 1: of your relationship with her? Answer? I think in a
• 3:35
Speaker 1: way yes. Question do you feel that that could have
• 3:38
Speaker 1: had a negative impact on your relationship with her if
• 3:41
Speaker 1: he had disapproved? Answer? I do not know. Question do
• 3:45
Speaker 1: you think that she would have ended the relationship if
• 3:48
Speaker 1: he had disproved? Answer? I do not know. Question how
• 3:52
Speaker 1: often did you and miss Maxwell discuss mister Epstein's opinions
• 3:55
Speaker 1: of your relationship? In general? Answer? I don't recall. Question
• 3:59
Speaker 1: did you you ever did you ever discuss your relationship
• 4:03
Speaker 1: with mister Epstein and miss Maxwell? Answer no. Question did
• 4:08
Speaker 1: miss Maxwell ever express a desire to stop working for
• 4:11
Speaker 1: mister Epstein? Answer not that I know of. I wanted
• 4:14
Speaker 1: her to stop working for mister Epstein. Question did she
• 4:17
Speaker 1: disagree with you? Were those conversations that you had often? Answer?
• 4:22
Speaker 1: I don't remember a disagreement over that? Question? And why
• 4:25
Speaker 1: did you want her to stop working for him? Answer?
• 4:28
Speaker 1: Because he was her ex boyfriend. I was just uncomfortable
• 4:31
Speaker 1: with it. Question there was no specific reason that you
• 4:34
Speaker 1: were uncomfortable? Answer no question, just in general that he
• 4:38
Speaker 1: was her ex boyfriend. Answer yes, Mister spector question. You
• 4:43
Speaker 1: mentioned that the reason you ended the relationship in twenty
• 4:45
Speaker 1: ten was because you knew you were never going to
• 4:48
Speaker 1: marry her. Is that right? Answer? Yes? Question did that
• 4:51
Speaker 1: decision to break up? Did it have anything to do
• 4:53
Speaker 1: with the continued employment with mister Epstein? Answer? I mean,
• 4:57
Speaker 1: I wasn't sure that she was working for mister Epstein
• 5:00
Speaker 1: at that point in time, but he was a continuous
• 5:02
Speaker 1: presence in her life. Question and was at presence part
• 5:07
Speaker 1: of what made you want to end things? Answer? Maybe
• 5:10
Speaker 1: in a small way, but it wasn't the primary driving factor.
• 5:14
Speaker 1: Question Why were you so sure that you weren't going
• 5:16
Speaker 1: to marry her? Answer? It's just the relationship had kind
• 5:19
Speaker 1: of run its course. I just knew that wasn't right
• 5:22
Speaker 1: for me, Miss Cathay. Question, mister Waite, I'd like to
• 5:26
Speaker 1: pivot now to your connections to the Clinton family. When

Speaker 1: of the circumstances who introduced you to President Clinton? Answer?
• 5:42

• 5:44
Speaker 1: our factory in a limo and he got out by
• 5:46
Speaker 1: himself and I greeted him. Question you said this was
• 5:50
Speaker 1: an event? Answer yes. Question who else was at the event? Answer?

Speaker 1: other people. The ambassadors were signing a digital treaty between
• 6:01
Speaker 1: Ireland and the United States. Question what did you discuss
• 6:05
Speaker 1: with President Clinton on that day? Answer? It was all business.
• 6:09
Speaker 1: I walked him through our operation, and then we discussed
• 6:11
Speaker 1: the logistics of the event signing the treaty, and then
• 6:14
Speaker 1: we went live on CNN dot com and we all
• 6:16
Speaker 1: gave speeches, and then I rushed out to beat him,
• 6:20
Speaker 1: to beat his airplane out. Question when did you first

• 6:55
Speaker 1: Mister Wade, I'll answer. Ashworth jumps in. If your client
• 6:59
Speaker 1: is refusing to answer the question, mister Waite, I'll answer
• 7:02
Speaker 1: the question. It was Ted Danson and Mary Steinbergen, Miss Ashworth,
• 7:07
Speaker 1: thank you. Ms Cathay, thank you. And who introduced you
• 7:10
Speaker 1: to Secretary Clinton? Answer? I don't recall, but we all
• 7:13
Speaker 1: showed up at dinner. Question do you recall any of
• 7:16
Speaker 1: the initial conversation that you had with her? Answer? No,

• 7:38
Speaker 1: when I was in New York or he was on
• 7:40

• 8:01
Speaker 1: I might have done some small grants to the Clinton Foundation.
• 8:04
Speaker 1: The big grant I gave was to support his construction
• 8:07
Speaker 1: of the library. Question and we'll return to that in
• 8:11
Speaker 1: a little bit the Clinton Foundation, But for now, can
• 8:14
Speaker 1: you briefly describe the extent and nature of your relationship
• 8:18
Speaker 1: with Secretary Clinton? Answer? Yeah, I'm not as close as

Speaker 1: her home in DC, which I don't know if she

Speaker 1: still has that home or not. Question How many times
• 8:42
Speaker 1: did you visit the home in Chappaqua? Answer? I don't
• 8:44
Speaker 1: recall exactly two or three. Question do you recall any

Speaker 1: other home. How often did you visit there? Answer just once,
• 9:11
Speaker 1: and that was when she was running for president. And
• 9:13
Speaker 1: I do believe Miss Maxwell was with me at that question.
• 9:17
Speaker 1: Do you remember what year that was? Answer? That would
• 9:20
Speaker 1: have been before the two thousand and eight election, so

Speaker 1: President Clinton there as well? Answer? No question. I'm sorry

• 9:58
Speaker 1: you first meet Chelsea Clinton? Answer that's a good question.
• 10:01

• 10:10
Speaker 1: in the early nineties. Is that accurate? Answer? I don't
• 10:13
Speaker 1: recall meeting them in the early nineties. I don't recall

Speaker 1: think we're close friends. Question are you currently close friends?
• 10:50
Speaker 1: Answer yes. Question and we'll discuss a little bit more
• 10:53
Speaker 1: about Chelsea Clinton later at the wedding event. But do
• 10:56
Speaker 1: you still communicate with any other member of the Clinton family?
• 10:59
Speaker 1: Answer Chelsea and her husband Mark. Question do you see
• 11:02
Speaker 1: each other socially every year? Answer? Not very often, but
• 11:06
Speaker 1: a few times a year. Question and how would you
• 11:09
Speaker 1: characterize your relationship with the Clintons at the time that
• 11:12
Speaker 1: you met Miss Maxwell? Answer? Could you just at the
• 11:15
Speaker 1: time I met Miss Maxwell? Question yes? Answer, oh again,
• 11:19
Speaker 1: I was just getting to know them. I think I'd
• 11:21
Speaker 1: already made my donation to the library, so it was
• 11:24
Speaker 1: more as kind of a donor, I think at that point.
• 11:27
Speaker 1: Question did Miss Maxwell know the Clintons before she met you?
• 11:30
Speaker 1: Answer she was. I wouldn't say the Clintons. I think
• 11:33

• 11:38
Speaker 1: Question she did not gets cut off by Wait, she
• 11:41

• 11:44
Speaker 1: So to be clear, she did not know Secretary Clinton
• 11:47
Speaker 1: at the time. Answer, I don't know. I don't believe so.
• 11:50
Speaker 1: I don't know for sure. I don't believe so, mister spector,
• 11:53
Speaker 1: So you met Glayne Maxwell in two thousand and three,
• 11:55
Speaker 1: you met Bill Clinton in the late nineties. Glenne Maxwell
• 11:58
Speaker 1: knew President Clinton before she met you, So you had
• 12:02
Speaker 1: a mutual friend in President Clinton. Did you ever have

Speaker 1: I don't know. I assume it would have been through
• 12:22
Speaker 1: me at some point. Question and you don't remember when
• 12:26
Speaker 1: that would have been? Answer I don't recall specifically. Question understood.
• 12:31
Speaker 1: And then how would you characterize your relationship with the
• 12:33
Speaker 1: Clintons later on while you and Miss Maxwell were dating? Answer?
• 12:37
Speaker 1: We attended a lot of CGI events. There was a
• 12:40
Speaker 1: lot you know, dinners. It was you know, cordial social Question.
• 12:44
Speaker 1: During his deposition to this committee, President Clinton testified that
• 12:47
Speaker 1: he felt he was closer to Miss Maxwell because of you.
• 12:51
Speaker 1: Why do you think President Clinton would say that you
• 12:53
Speaker 1: were the reason he was closer to Miss Maxwell? Answer again,
• 12:56
  Speaker 1: I don't know. I think it's because I was spending
• 12:58
Speaker 1: a lot of time with them. Question did the Clinton
• 13:01
Speaker 1: spend time with you? To be more specific, did President
• 13:04
Speaker 1: Clinton and Secretary Clinton spend time with you and Miss
• 13:07
Speaker 1: Maxwell in social settings outside of events as a couple. Answer?
• 13:11
Speaker 1: I don't recall any instances of spending time with Miss Maxwell,
• 13:15
Speaker 1: Secretary Clinton and President Clinton without you know, alone or separately.
• 13:19
Speaker 1: I don't recall that ever happening. Question what about Chelsea
• 13:22
Speaker 1: Clinton and her husband you and Miss Maxwell? Answer that's possible.
• 13:27
Speaker 1: Question can you think of any specific instance? Answer? I can't.
• 13:31
Speaker 1: I'm sorry, gets cut off. Question about what time in
• 13:34
Speaker 1: your relationship with Miss Maxwell were you spending time with
• 13:38
Speaker 1: Chelsea Clinton and her husband? Can you estimate specific years
• 13:42
Speaker 1: or timeframe of the time that you were spending with
• 13:45
Speaker 1: Chelsea Clinton and her husband and you and miss Maxwell
• 13:48
Speaker 1: answer probably you know, it would have been the time
• 13:51
Speaker 1: closer to their wedding. Question understood, all right, folks, we're
• 13:56
Speaker 1: gonna wrap up right here, and in the next episode
• 13:58
Speaker 1: dealing with the topic, we're gonna pick up where we
• 14:00
Speaker 1: left off. All the information that goes with this episode
