- 0:58Speaker 1: to Misunderstood. I'm your host, Rachel Yucatel. We've all been
- 1:02Speaker 1: hearing so much about this so-called reality reckoning. Even Vanity
- 1:06Speaker 1: Fair did a huge story about it, but when it
- 1:08Speaker 1: came out, was it huge? There was so much hype
- 1:10Speaker 1: surrounding it, and then I think it really fell flat.
- 1:13Speaker 1: They interviewed a handful of former cast members of the
- 1:16Speaker 1: Real Housewives franchise, And I don't think they said anything
- 1:19Speaker 1: that was too surprising or shocking, not much we didn't
- 1:22Speaker 1: really know. But today's guest on the pod will definitely
- 1:26Speaker 1: say some things that are going to shock you about
- 1:28Speaker 1: the behind-the-scenes activities on another franchise show on Bravo, Below Deck,
- 1:33Speaker 1: Down Under. Today we have Laura Billis-Galney. She was a
- 1:38Speaker 1: stew on season two of Below Deck, Down Under and
- 1:41Speaker 1: was let go in the middle of production. That's not
- 1:43Speaker 1: an odd occurrence on this franchise. Over the years, the
- 1:46Speaker 1: captains have let others go before, but it was the
- 1:48Speaker 1: circumstances around Laura's firing that made her story unique. Some
- 1:53Speaker 1: might call her a controversial figure. Some think that she
- 1:56Speaker 1: was the villain of the season, but we got a
- 1:58Speaker 1: sit down with her and to learn more about who
- 2:01Speaker 1: she really is as a person and not just a
- 2:03Speaker 1: reality figure that only exists on our screen. In an
- 2:06Speaker 1: exclusive interview, Laura speaks to me about her experience on
- 2:10Speaker 1: the show, what she learned and what she regrets. who
- 2:13Speaker 1: she's spoken to since the show wrapped, and she drops
- 2:16Speaker 1: a bomb on what was really going on behind the
- 2:19Speaker 1: scenes that production didn't show, but they were very well
- 2:23Speaker 1: aware of. Please listen with an open mind and an
- 2:26Speaker 1: open heart to Laura Biliscalne. Laura, thank you so much
- 3:00Speaker 1: for joining me on Misunderstood. It is an honor to
- 3:03Speaker 1: be in person with you today.
- 3:05Speaker 2: Thank you for having me.
- 3:06Speaker 1: Of course. So before we start, I just want you
- 3:10Speaker 1: to have an opportunity to clear up any misconceptions of
- 3:14Speaker 1: your opinions on sexual misconduct.
- 3:18Speaker 2: Well, where to even start about misunderstood on this episode?
- 3:23Speaker 2: I do not support sexual misconduct. harassment or anything in
- 3:29Speaker 2: that sense. And I would always protect someone who is
- 3:33Speaker 2: in that position. But I didn't have a chance to
- 3:36Speaker 2: do that because we didn't have that thing happening. Right.
- 3:42Speaker 1: So your stance is that what happened on Below Deck
- 3:46Speaker 1: didn't actually happen the way it was represented.
- 3:49Speaker 2: Right. I do sympathize and empathize with the viewers who
- 3:54Speaker 2: saw it. I saw it myself. It did look bad,
- 3:56Speaker 2: but it's not exactly what happened. And of course, we
- 4:00Speaker 2: could think so many bad things could have happened.
- 4:02Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:02Speaker 2: And fortunately, they didn't. But I think that's where the
- 4:08Speaker 2: attention was really there. Right. What could have happened.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Right. So your version is that there was a lot
- 4:15Speaker 1: of misconceptions about what really happened and the way it
- 4:17Speaker 1: was edited. made it look like something that it necessarily wasn't.
- 4:22Speaker 1: And that's what you're here today to kind of clear up.
- 4:25Speaker 2: Okay, good.
- 4:26Speaker 1: All right, so before we get into that, let's talk
- 4:29Speaker 1: about you for a second. Tell me where you grew up,
- 4:31Speaker 1: where you came from.
- 4:33Speaker 2: Well, I was born in Latvia, but I have not
- 4:36Speaker 2: lived there for like 13 years, I guess. But that's
- 4:41Speaker 2: my background. That's where I grew up. And I was
- 4:44Speaker 2: born in the year of Latvia separating from communism. So
- 4:48Speaker 2: I guess we still have that trait and some kind
- 4:50Speaker 2: of upbringing. So it was always tough love. And there's
- 4:54Speaker 2: no even like how to say. Like to be sensitive
- 4:59Speaker 2: or being like vulnerable or being soft in a way.
- 5:04Speaker 2: You're like always tough, tough, tough, you know? Got it.
- 5:06Speaker 1: So you come off a little bit colder, I think,
- 5:08Speaker 1: than others.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Yes, I do.
- 5:10Speaker 1: But I'm adjusting. Right. But you're saying that it's your
- 5:14Speaker 1: upbringing and where you came from, right? Not that it's
- 5:16Speaker 1: you trying to not empathize with people.
- 5:18Speaker 2: I think I am a very empathizing person, but... I
- 5:22Speaker 2: guess sometimes it doesn't come across like that. I think
- 5:24Speaker 2: like my friends know I'm like that. But yeah, when
- 5:27Speaker 2: I saw that, I was like, actually, once I stopped
- 5:30Speaker 2: the episode and I wrote it, I was like, it
- 5:32Speaker 2: looks bad. I'm so sorry. You know, like I was
- 5:35Speaker 2: not aware of it.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Right. Well, I think that happens to a lot of people.
- 5:38Speaker 1: They see themselves on a reality show after the fact
- 5:41Speaker 1: and they're like, wow, I wasn't aware that I could
- 5:45Speaker 1: be like this. So I think that's a common feeling.
- 5:47Speaker 2: That was definitely very entertaining. I was watching myself. I
- 5:50Speaker 2: was like, oh, she's sassy or like, oh, she's funny.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Oh no, no, no. She did way too much there.
- 5:56Speaker 2: So for me, it was like seeing completely different person. Right.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Isn't that interesting?
- 5:59Speaker 2: It was. And you think the whole show was like
- 6:04Speaker 2: how we experienced that. I'm not talking also just for myself.
- 6:06Speaker 2: I spoke with people after how we experienced that and
- 6:09Speaker 2: how we saw it after was two different shows.
- 6:11Speaker 3: Right.
- 6:12Speaker 1: Right.
- 6:12Speaker 2: So it was very entertaining to say the least. Okay.
- 6:15Speaker 1: So we'll get to that. But what brought you into yachting?
- 6:20Speaker 2: So I had this pop-up restaurant, if we say that word,
- 6:24Speaker 2: in Barcelona called One Table Restaurant. I started seven years
- 6:28Speaker 2: ago when this kind of concept was not really out there.
- 6:33Speaker 2: In Europe, we come a bit later than America. Maybe
- 6:35Speaker 2: here it was already there, but for us it was
- 6:37Speaker 2: something completely new. And it was doing great. I had
- 6:42Speaker 2: rooftop terrace with one table that everybody can book a place.
- 6:47Speaker 2: And one of the evenings it was... a yacht crew.
- 6:51Speaker 2: There were like 12 people from yachts. And I have
- 6:54Speaker 2: absolutely no idea what people do on yachts. Like in Latvia,
- 6:58Speaker 2: we don't have yachts. I don't have no idea of
- 7:00Speaker 2: this concept, what people even... Like if I ask Latvians,
- 7:03Speaker 2: if you see a boat, do you think there's people
- 7:06Speaker 2: actually working there and living there? They're like, no, no idea.
- 7:08Speaker 2: You know, maybe cruise ships, yes, but not the yachts.
- 7:11Speaker 2: So I had no idea. And they saw the way I...
- 7:16Speaker 2: I am the way I work. I have always had
- 7:18Speaker 2: very high standards. And they're like, you should be very
- 7:21Speaker 2: good in yachting.
- 7:22Speaker 4: And I'm like.
- 7:24Speaker 2: What do you guys do there? You know? So that
- 7:26Speaker 2: was kind of interesting evening. And they were like trying
- 7:29Speaker 2: to like, you know, everybody's drinking and they're like, oh,
- 7:31Speaker 2: you should come. You should come for day work. You
- 7:33Speaker 2: should do this and this. You should be a chef there.
- 7:35Speaker 2: You should do that. So they gave me this kind
- 7:37Speaker 2: of idea, but I was so committed to my business.
- 7:40Speaker 2: And I was like, sounds nice. It sounds like, wow,
- 7:43Speaker 2: you travel around and make good money and you can
- 7:46Speaker 2: live there and you have all these people you spend
- 7:49Speaker 2: every day with. So I thought it's cool, but I
- 7:51Speaker 2: was very invested in my business. And then maybe like
- 7:55Speaker 2: nearly two years after COVID happened and I couldn't continue
- 8:00Speaker 2: hosting events because you could not have people from different
- 8:04Speaker 2: households being together. And 90% of my business was from
- 8:08Speaker 2: America and the borders were closed. So I was just
- 8:11Speaker 2: there like, what to do? And I was like, what
- 8:13Speaker 2: to do, what to do? Oh, two years ago, these
- 8:16Speaker 2: guys told me about yachts. So I'm like, okay. And
- 8:19Speaker 2: I contacted one of my friends who was a yacht broker.
- 8:22Speaker 2: She's like, you need to do this course and this course.
- 8:24Speaker 2: I did it. And the day I got the certificate,
- 8:28Speaker 2: the same day I got a job. And I was like,
- 8:29Speaker 2: that was easy. Wow.
- 8:31Speaker 1: So what was your first job?
- 8:34Speaker 2: It was on actually as well, old fishing vessel. They
- 8:37Speaker 2: are very rare. And that was like on the show.
- 8:40Speaker 2: And the same as my first worst one was renovated
- 8:43Speaker 2: old fishing vessel. What's the name? Menorca. I was not
- 8:46Speaker 2: there for a long time. I changed for better. And yeah,
- 8:51Speaker 2: that's actually how it started. I was a stewardess. I,
- 8:54Speaker 2: that time, didn't dare yet to cook. Now I'm fully
- 8:57Speaker 2: chef for the last couple of years. My last stewardess
- 9:01Speaker 2: experience was on the show.
- 9:02Speaker 1: Yeah. So now, had you watched Below Deck before?
- 9:09Speaker 2: Before?
- 9:09Speaker 1: Yeah, before you even thought about being on the show.
- 9:12Speaker 2: So I do love reality TV. Guilty since age of eight, probably.
- 9:18Speaker 2: But at that time, I didn't know about Below Deck yet.
- 9:21Speaker 2: But it was my friends in California. She called me.
- 9:27Speaker 2: She's like, me and my husband, we're watching the show.
- 9:29Speaker 2: We think you'll be very good at the show. And
- 9:34Speaker 2: And someone else told me, I was like, okay, if
- 9:35Speaker 2: two people tell me about this, okay, I'm going to
- 9:36Speaker 2: check it out. And I was looking and I was like,
- 9:38Speaker 2: is it really that stupid? I was like, is it
- 9:43Speaker 2: really like that? And I was like, I want to
- 9:45Speaker 2: go on a show and, you know, clear this out.
- 9:48Speaker 2: I was so wrong. It's not you who is stupid.
- 9:51Speaker 2: They make you like that. So now, like, everybody who
- 9:53Speaker 2: I thought stupid, they're all excused and nobody's stupid.
- 9:56Speaker 1: But did you have to go into the show really
- 9:58Speaker 1: having some skills? Like, did you... have to know what
- 10:00Speaker 1: you were doing and were you really working?
- 10:02Speaker 2: Sure, sure, sure. Because you still need to deliver high
- 10:06Speaker 2: standards for these guests that we have because also this
- 10:09Speaker 2: show will show how the industry is. It's debatable, but.
- 10:14Speaker 1: So that part is real, where you're working and doing
- 10:17Speaker 1: your job.
- 10:17Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah. You cannot apply if you do not
- 10:19Speaker 2: have the certification of being on a boat, know about safety,
- 10:22Speaker 2: about medical certificates and experience. No, no. That part is
- 10:31Speaker 2: all real. We come there to work, and the camera's
- 10:34Speaker 2: there to show the outside world how it is to
- 10:37Speaker 2: work on yachts. It's not exactly like it is, but...
- 10:42Speaker 2: They try. Right.
- 10:43Speaker 1: Similar. So how did you actually get on the show?
- 10:49Speaker 2: I saw casting. I was looking for a job that time.
- 10:53Speaker 2: I was in California having some time off. And I saw, yeah,
- 10:59Speaker 2: that they're looking for a cast. And I was like, okay,
- 11:01Speaker 2: I will send it because now I'm already watching the show.
- 11:03Speaker 2: And I was like, I can do better, you know?
- 11:06Speaker 2: And the same day I had a call. And then
- 11:10Speaker 2: from there, it's a long process. It's a couple of months.
- 11:12Speaker 2: And they want to make sure that people are ready
- 11:16Speaker 2: for that to come. Because I can definitely tell you
- 11:19Speaker 2: it's not for everyone. You need to be very thick-skinned.
- 11:22Speaker 2: Because you go on the show, you need to know
- 11:26Speaker 2: you will have haters. And if you're going to deal
- 11:28Speaker 2: with that, you can't go on the show. And I
- 11:31Speaker 2: knew that's happening.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Did they explain all that to you beforehand? Was that
- 11:35Speaker 1: part of the process?
- 11:38Speaker 2: So we did have a How do you spell it
- 11:40Speaker 2: in English? Psych?
- 11:41Speaker 1: A psych test, yeah.
- 11:43Speaker 2: It was like around 500 questions. Yeah. Very interesting questions.
- 11:47Speaker 5: The car is beautiful. Where did you end up going
- 11:50Speaker 5: for it?
- 11:50Speaker 3: This exclusive place that Dad has connections with. They have
- 11:53Speaker 3: more cars for more dealerships than like anywhere else.
- 11:56Speaker 5: You have to put me in touch. What's it called?
- 11:58Speaker 4: It's Dune ADL.
- 12:00Speaker 2: Where?
- 12:02Speaker 5: Dune ADL.
- 12:03Speaker 4: There's an accent on the E.
- 12:06Speaker 5: Do you mean.
- 12:06Speaker 4: Yes, I got it on Dune Deal Cars.
- 12:08Speaker 2: Lyft? Lyft?
- 12:09Speaker 1: Please.
- 12:10Speaker 5: You're going past Kimmage?
- 12:11Speaker 4: Oh, Kimmage.
- 12:12Speaker 2: No.
- 12:13Speaker 4: Don't deal cars. You couldn't possibly go anywhere else.
- 12:16Speaker 2: Have you ever thought about being a guy? And I'm like, yes.
- 12:19Speaker 2: Do I even answer it right or wrong, you know?
- 12:22Speaker 2: There are many questions. So I think also for their part,
- 12:26Speaker 2: they need to make sure the person who they take
- 12:28Speaker 2: on is strong and will survive and that can take
- 12:30Speaker 2: things personal. And I think that's how we all were there.
- 12:35Speaker 3: Right.
- 12:35Speaker 2: Okay. Okay.
- 12:36Speaker 1: So you did a series of interviews. And I mean,
- 12:39Speaker 1: that's pretty amazing, though, that you just submitted an application
- 12:42Speaker 1: and they called you that same day.
- 12:44Speaker 2: Yeah, like they told me after the show, they're like,
- 12:46Speaker 2: we loved you from day one. We knew we're going
- 12:48Speaker 2: to have you from day one because you're like good
- 12:51Speaker 2: asset for TV. And I'm like, yeah, thank you. I
- 12:53Speaker 2: guess I really was a good asset. I really pop
- 12:55Speaker 2: your ratings, maybe not in a good way, but like
- 12:57Speaker 2: I send them, you're welcome, you know.
- 13:01Speaker 1: So when they told you you had the part, How,
- 13:05Speaker 1: where did you have to go? How, how did that
- 13:07Speaker 1: go down?
- 13:08Speaker 2: Oh, wow. Actually that time I had, I had a
- 13:10Speaker 2: really good job because I didn't know it was like
- 13:13Speaker 2: four months. Yes. No, like you don't know, you don't
- 13:15Speaker 2: never know. And I was like, I'm not going to
- 13:16Speaker 2: sit and just wait. Right. I had a really good
- 13:19Speaker 2: job in Fort Lauderdale on a yacht and on a
- 13:23Speaker 2: private house as well. So I had like double, I
- 13:26Speaker 2: was so happy. And I had a call. You have
- 13:29Speaker 2: to be in Australia in two weeks. You were selected.
- 13:30Speaker 2: I'm like, but my job, And actually I was thinking
- 13:34Speaker 2: for three days and I was like 50-50. I really,
- 13:37Speaker 2: really wanted to go on a show, but I was like,
- 13:38Speaker 2: I have a good job. Maybe it's not worth it.
- 13:40Speaker 2: And I spoke with some captains. They're like, personally me,
- 13:43Speaker 2: I wouldn't take anyone from the show on my boats. Interesting.
- 13:47Speaker 1: My schedule has been crazy lately. Hasn't yours been? Between
- 13:50Speaker 1: working on my podcast, having house guests, doing my daily activities,
- 13:55Speaker 1: dealing with my daughter, I was just feeling stressed and
- 13:57Speaker 1: sluggish and just not focused like I should be. I
- 14:00Speaker 1: gave AG1 a try because I wanted a single solution
- 14:03Speaker 1: that could help support my entire body. I'm terrible when
- 14:06Speaker 1: it comes to taking supplements, daily especially. I always forget
- 14:10Speaker 1: and I was so over taking a handful of different
- 14:12Speaker 1: things that just didn't seem to help. With AG1, I
- 14:14Speaker 1: get a boost of energy and it supports my immune
- 14:17Speaker 1: system and it tastes great. When I started drinking AG1 daily,
- 14:22Speaker 1: I could feel a real difference in my daily health.
- 14:24Speaker 1: I had energy again. I felt more relaxed and I
- 14:27Speaker 1: could focus on work and be there for my daughter
- 14:29Speaker 1: and the people that need me. That's because AG1 is
- 14:32Speaker 1: a foundational nutritional supplement that supports your body's universal needs
- 14:37Speaker 1: like gut optimization, stress management, and immune support. Since 2010,
- 14:42Speaker 1: AG1 has led the future of foundational nutrition, continuously refining
- 14:46Speaker 1: their formula to create a smarter, better way to elevate
- 14:49Speaker 1: your baseline health. So as a morning ritual, I make
- 14:53Speaker 1: my AG1 supplement by adding 8 to 12 ounces of water,
- 14:57Speaker 1: and I put a squeeze of lemon and a squeeze
- 15:00Speaker 1: of lime in to mix it. And sometimes I actually
- 15:02Speaker 1: put like very cold, icy water. I shake it and
- 15:06Speaker 1: I drink it. And then in the afternoon, I put
- 15:08Speaker 1: one drop into anything I might be drinking that afternoon,
- 15:11Speaker 1: but I put one drop of the vitamin D3K2. And
- 15:15Speaker 1: I just, you know, I don't have that sluggish feeling
- 15:18Speaker 1: in the afternoon anymore. And it really has become my ritual.
- 15:21Speaker 1: Even my friends have started taking the opportunity to drink
- 15:24Speaker 1: AG1 and they tell me always how much they love it.
- 15:27Speaker 1: They feel like their body is getting all the nutrients
- 15:29Speaker 1: it craves. And I really couldn't agree more. AG-1 is
- 15:33Speaker 1: the supplement I trust to provide the support my body
- 15:36Speaker 1: needs daily, and that's why I'm so excited to welcome
- 15:38Speaker 1: them as a new partner to Misunderstood. If you want
- 15:41Speaker 1: to take ownership of your health, it starts with AG-1.
- 15:45Speaker 1: Try AG-1 and get a free one-year supply of vitamin
- 15:49Speaker 1: D3K2 and five free AG-1 travel packs with your first purchase.
- 15:55Speaker 1: Go to drinkag1. com slash understood. That's drinkag1. com slash understood and
- 16:06Speaker 1: check it out. There is no promo code that you
- 16:09Speaker 1: can use. You have to type that in exactly as
- 16:11Speaker 1: I'm saying it to be able to get this free
- 16:15Speaker 1: one-year supply and free AG1 travel pack. So make sure
- 16:19Speaker 1: you type it correctly. It's drinkag1. com slash understood. I can't
- 16:25Speaker 1: wait to hear how you feel. Why is that?
- 16:28Speaker 2: Because they do show just the, let's say, fuck-ups or
- 16:33Speaker 2: the bad things, right?
- 16:34Speaker 1: Right, the things that you're messing up with, yeah.
- 16:37Speaker 2: It's not going to be so interesting to talk about
- 16:38Speaker 2: how nice table settings you made or something or, you know,
- 16:42Speaker 2: everything's smooth. They're going to talk about the bad things
- 16:44Speaker 2: and they're going to show the bad things because that's
- 16:46Speaker 2: reality TV. They want drama. So when they show condensantly
- 16:50Speaker 2: just the drama, that's how people receive it. Right. And
- 16:56Speaker 2: then for the captains, I think it's like, They don't
- 16:59Speaker 2: seem that serious because their job is very serious. What
- 17:03Speaker 2: they see on TV, it's all the not serious things.
- 17:06Speaker 1: And also, the crew is not the star, right? So
- 17:10Speaker 1: in reality. So in the show, the crew was a
- 17:13Speaker 1: big part of the show. It is the show. Whereas
- 17:15Speaker 1: in your real life, I would think that your captains
- 17:18Speaker 1: are saying, listen, you have to fade into the woodwork.
- 17:20Speaker 1: You've got to be really good at your job. We
- 17:22Speaker 1: don't need to know that you're someone famous. So that's
- 17:24Speaker 1: why they wouldn't take somebody on a show, probably.
- 17:28Speaker 2: Also... But just captains don't like people. They think they're
- 17:31Speaker 2: not serious about their job who goes on the show.
- 17:33Speaker 1: Yeah, I got that. I mean, that makes sense.
- 17:35Speaker 2: And I was thinking, like, maybe I shouldn't go, I
- 17:37Speaker 2: shouldn't go. And then I had a call from production,
- 17:39Speaker 2: and they were basically begging me. They're like, we want
- 17:41Speaker 2: to establish a long-time relationship with you because we see
- 17:46Speaker 2: that you are good on cameras. You can talk your mind,
- 17:48Speaker 2: and you don't have this block with you. That's exactly
- 17:51Speaker 2: what people want. They tried to make me understand that
- 17:56Speaker 2: that's not my last time. I was like, okay, so
- 17:58Speaker 2: it's going to be a long-time thing. So then you
- 18:00Speaker 2: imagine my shock when that was stopped.
- 18:01Speaker 1: Right, of course. So how long did they tell you
- 18:04Speaker 1: originally you were going to be filming in Australia?
- 18:09Speaker 2: I think it was nine weeks, if I'm right. Something
- 18:12Speaker 2: just before, something about two months.
- 18:15Speaker 1: And were they paying you?
- 18:17Speaker 2: They do pay a very small amount.
- 18:22Speaker 1: So are those tips that you get every week?
- 18:25Speaker 2: Tips we get, tips we get, yes.
- 18:26Speaker 1: To keep. So that was real. Like at the end
- 18:28Speaker 1: of every episode when you see how much the tips are,
- 18:31Speaker 1: you guys get to keep that.
- 18:32Speaker 3: Okay.
- 18:32Speaker 1: But I'm assuming the fee that they're paying you is
- 18:35Speaker 1: not equivalent to what you were making in your other job.
- 18:39Speaker 2: Sure. Right. It's not equal to our salaries. Right.
- 18:42Speaker 1: Okay. So now talk to me about the cast that
- 18:44Speaker 1: you came in to work with. Did you know any
- 18:47Speaker 1: of them or had you met any of them before
- 18:49Speaker 1: you started?
- 18:49Speaker 2: I felt that I know Aisha because I watched... And
- 18:53Speaker 2: she'd been on a couple of seasons before. When I
- 18:56Speaker 2: saw her, I was so happy. I was like, I
- 18:58Speaker 2: love that girl. I can relate to her because she's
- 19:01Speaker 2: so bubbly and lovely. She also doesn't have that, how
- 19:05Speaker 2: to say, sometimes I say filter or something. She's like,
- 19:09Speaker 2: you know, out there. And I was like, oh my God,
- 19:10Speaker 2: I love it. I would enjoy to work with her
- 19:13Speaker 2: so much. So I was really, really happy. And the others,
- 19:17Speaker 2: I saw Captain Jason and I really wanted to like him.
- 19:20Speaker 2: I desperately wanted to like him, but I didn't get there.
- 19:23Speaker 2: And we had no relationship, any kind.
- 19:26Speaker 1: Did he stay away from a lot of the cast?
- 19:30Speaker 5: Yes.
- 19:31Speaker 1: He seems like he's not mixed in with the drama, obviously.
- 19:35Speaker 2: No, he's not. And that's probably a wise thing to do.
- 19:39Speaker 2: But also, he didn't know exactly what's happening. His ears
- 19:42Speaker 2: was Aisha. So it was... she was put in good position,
- 19:46Speaker 2: whatever she wanted to to go which way she said
- 19:49Speaker 2: to Captain Jason and he would take it that way
- 19:51Speaker 2: without actually knowing what's happening or actually talking that's what
- 19:55Speaker 2: I said in the last episode it's not a leadership
- 19:58Speaker 2: it's a zero ship for this reason that I thought
- 20:02Speaker 2: he should have conversation with that person that's involved, not
- 20:05Speaker 2: just have ears with one person.
- 20:07Speaker 1: Yeah, that is a good point. I mean, in anything
- 20:10Speaker 1: you're in, that makes a lot of sense. So had
- 20:12Speaker 1: you talked to anyone who had been on the show before,
- 20:15Speaker 1: like before you guys started filming? Or did Aisha say
- 20:19Speaker 1: to you, here's what to expect, here's what to do? Like,
- 20:21Speaker 1: did they coach you at all?
- 20:23Speaker 2: No, no, it's all surprise. Okay. No, because also we
- 20:27Speaker 2: couldn't know who was going to be on the show.
- 20:30Speaker 2: because they don't want us to talk before. So it's
- 20:32Speaker 2: like the shock factor when we come in. It's like, oh,
- 20:36Speaker 2: you were there, you were there. That's why they kept
- 20:38Speaker 2: us in a hotel in separate rooms, and we don't
- 20:40Speaker 2: know who is there. And it's like a big surprise.
- 20:42Speaker 2: And they want to capture that face on camera when
- 20:45Speaker 2: you see like, oh, you were there.
- 20:47Speaker 1: Right, right. So tell me about what the first days
- 20:49Speaker 1: on the boat and the first days of filming were like.
- 20:52Speaker 1: How did your relationships get started? What did you think
- 20:54Speaker 1: of everybody? How was the workload? What are your thoughts?
- 20:57Speaker 2: Yeah, I have this... I haven't decided yet is it
- 21:02Speaker 2: a problem or is it a good thing. I think
- 21:05Speaker 2: everybody's super nice. And then they just like go down.
- 21:08Speaker 2: My mom always told me, think they are there and
- 21:11Speaker 2: then they build up. For me, everybody's lovely. I love everyone.
- 21:14Speaker 2: Everybody's super, super. Everybody's best friends. Oh, that guy's so amazing.
- 21:17Speaker 2: He's so amazing, you know.
- 21:18Speaker 1: So you mean you give everybody the benefit of the doubt.
- 21:21Speaker 2: Oh, more than that. Double, triple.
- 21:24Speaker 1: And then they tend to disappoint you is what you're saying.
- 21:26Speaker 2: Yes, and then I end up hurt. Right.
- 21:28Speaker 5: Right.
- 21:29Speaker 2: Maybe that's something to learn from.
- 21:30Speaker 1: Well, I mean, I think that happens to a lot
- 21:32Speaker 1: of people.
- 21:33Speaker 2: Yeah, and every time it's like, next time maybe I'll
- 21:35Speaker 2: be more careful. No. Because when you meet people, you
- 21:38Speaker 2: see the good things about them. I have some amazing crew.
- 21:42Speaker 2: Everything's so amazing. The cabins are so big. The boat
- 21:46Speaker 2: is so old.
- 21:49Speaker 1: So did you feel like, because you're saying you liked
- 21:51Speaker 1: everybody at the beginning, obviously this is the first time
- 21:54Speaker 1: you're being followed by cameras. How many cameras are there?
- 21:56Speaker 2: Well, you don't... wow there's someone running around with you
- 22:01Speaker 2: and then there's there and there and then there when
- 22:06Speaker 2: you move and then they move with you that's like
- 22:08Speaker 2: kind of creepy I don't know the counts but they're
- 22:11Speaker 2: everywhere so if you think you can skip something no
- 22:14Speaker 2: you cannot right so everything is yes and I think
- 22:18Speaker 2: the first I would say two minutes I was talking
- 22:20Speaker 2: about Asia and the camera was just like here like
- 22:23Speaker 2: They're not like in the distance. They're like really close.
- 22:25Speaker 2: Because imagine in a boat, there's not much space. Those
- 22:27Speaker 2: cameras are big. So they need to be close to you.
- 22:30Speaker 2: Sometimes those corridors are this wide, you know? The first
- 22:35Speaker 2: two minutes, I was like, why is it in my face?
- 22:37Speaker 2: But after two minutes.
- 22:38Speaker 1: You forget about it.
- 22:39Speaker 2: Yeah, totally forget about it. You don't feel them anymore.
- 22:42Speaker 1: Right. So did you feel like you had to act
- 22:45Speaker 1: a certain way or do certain things or be argumentative
- 22:48Speaker 1: at all to get more screen time? Did you feel
- 22:51Speaker 1: that other people... were behaving certain ways to get screen time?
- 22:55Speaker 1: Or do you feel like you guys were really being
- 22:56Speaker 1: yourselves and just being captured in everyday life?
- 22:59Speaker 2: I think we were being ourselves. At least I believe so.
- 23:02Speaker 2: I was. Maybe too much.
- 23:07Speaker 5: The car is beautiful. Where did you end up going
- 23:10Speaker 5: for it?
- 23:10Speaker 3: This exclusive place that Dada's connections with. They have more
- 23:14Speaker 3: cars for more dealerships than like anywhere else.
- 23:16Speaker 5: You have to put me in touch. What's it called?
- 23:18Speaker 4: It's Dune ADL.
- 23:20Speaker 2: Where?
- 23:22Speaker 4: Dune DL? There's an accent on the E.
- 23:26Speaker 5: Do you mean.
- 23:26Speaker 4: Yes, I got it on Done Deal Cars.
- 23:28Speaker 5: Lyft?
- 23:29Speaker 2: Please.
- 23:30Speaker 5: You're going past Kimmage?
- 23:31Speaker 2: Oh, Kimmage.
- 23:32Speaker 1: No.
- 23:33Speaker 4: Done Deal Cars. You couldn't possibly go anywhere else.
- 23:37Speaker 2: But I think... Yeah, no, I think we were all
- 23:40Speaker 2: like authentic selves. Right. I would want to believe that. Okay.
- 23:44Speaker 1: What was your relationship like with the cast? Go through
- 23:47Speaker 1: who was on the boat and what your... you ended
- 23:50Speaker 1: up having a relationship with all of them. You interacted
- 23:53Speaker 1: with all of them. What were your thoughts on everybody?
- 23:55Speaker 2: So my first impression with Aisha was like, she can
- 23:57Speaker 2: be my best friend. We can have the same kind
- 24:00Speaker 2: of way of working. We were very good. We were good,
- 24:04Speaker 2: really good. Then when Margot arrived, I was like, oh,
- 24:08Speaker 2: I couldn't wish for a better cabin mate. She was amazing.
- 24:13Speaker 2: She was so willing to learn. So Aisha, she's mostly
- 24:17Speaker 2: with guests and do the important stuff. So she doesn't
- 24:19Speaker 2: have time to go to cabins and show the little things.
- 24:22Speaker 2: So I was always with Margot and she was always
- 24:24Speaker 2: so thankful. I learned so much from you. Thank you
- 24:26Speaker 2: for showing this. Oh, there's a way of doing this.
- 24:28Speaker 2: So we are very, very good. I love Margot. And
- 24:32Speaker 2: who else are there? Guys, of course, with Luke, you
- 24:36Speaker 2: could see in the first episode, we are straight away.
- 24:38Speaker 2: Where are you from? Oh, you're shaking hands. I like it.
- 24:41Speaker 2: We started straight away. There was a moment they were
- 24:45Speaker 2: like kind of maybe oh we have such a good
- 24:49Speaker 2: time together and i think that's why we kissed not
- 24:51Speaker 2: like oh we kissed and then after we're making friends
- 24:54Speaker 2: we were friends before they were like we're having such
- 24:56Speaker 2: a good time together like oh he's a cool guy
- 24:58Speaker 2: and he's like oh she's a cool girl and then
- 25:01Speaker 2: we went out and we kissed but there was nothing
- 25:03Speaker 2: um romantic in that way right You know, it was
- 25:07Speaker 2: so fun. And because we actually really liked each other. Right.
- 25:10Speaker 1: And you had mentioned to me that he was like
- 25:12Speaker 1: the closest, you were really close with him the whole time.
- 25:14Speaker 2: And I'm sad that it was not shown because that's
- 25:18Speaker 2: why maybe people have this question. Why did she stand
- 25:20Speaker 2: up for him? Because they just hooked up and then
- 25:23Speaker 2: he didn't like her or didn't want her. And it's not,
- 25:26Speaker 2: it wasn't like that.
- 25:26Speaker 1: It wasn't that way.
- 25:27Speaker 2: They would just show the things which he did say.
- 25:29Speaker 2: And we spoke about it after. He's like, I don't
- 25:31Speaker 2: even know why I say that. You know, because we
- 25:34Speaker 2: both said, we had so many conversations. We have so
- 25:36Speaker 2: many jokes and how to say one liners to each
- 25:38Speaker 2: other all the time. And we were looking forward to,
- 25:40Speaker 2: they're going to show that we were like, oh, this, oh, that, oh, this, oh, that,
- 25:44Speaker 2: but that was not it.
- 25:45Speaker 1: So we've all seen the cruise night nights out.
- 25:48Speaker 2: Right.
- 25:49Speaker 1: And, and it seems like it's all about drinking excessively, um, having,
- 25:54Speaker 1: you know, partying, having a lot of fun. So, you know,
- 25:57Speaker 1: I thought it was interesting that that's, that became the
- 26:01Speaker 1: the main scandal, right? That people were getting drunk and
- 26:04Speaker 1: then it got taken to a different level. But before
- 26:07Speaker 1: we get to that scandal, sort of, I just want
- 26:11Speaker 1: to address the drinking and the fun and the partying
- 26:14Speaker 1: that was going on. How real was that? LILIANA VAZQUEZ-
- 26:20Speaker 1: It was real.
- 26:20Speaker 2: I think when we are entertaining guests, we are pouring
- 26:25Speaker 2: hundreds of drinks of them during a day. We're like,
- 26:28Speaker 2: I want to have that, but you cannot have it.
- 26:31Speaker 2: So you are there to fulfill all the needs of
- 26:36Speaker 2: the guest. And you're also there. You also want to
- 26:38Speaker 2: have it. So you kind of postpone your life for
- 26:41Speaker 2: those days. You just work, work. Okay, one more day.
- 26:44Speaker 2: We're going to go out one more day.
- 26:45Speaker 5: You know, it's build up.
- 26:46Speaker 2: It's build up. It's build up. And then when we can,
- 26:48Speaker 2: we're like, I don't know. I would say chickens without head.
- 26:51Speaker 2: You know, it's like just run. You want everything. Like,
- 26:53Speaker 2: I don't know, teenagers have been kept in the house
- 26:55Speaker 2: all the time. How can they finally drink? I actually
- 26:56Speaker 2: felt like this. And in normal life, it doesn't happen
- 26:59Speaker 2: like that. Right.
- 27:00Speaker 1: So you had been bottling it up all week, facilitating
- 27:03Speaker 1: the most fun week for these people on board. And
- 27:07Speaker 1: then this is your one or two nights to go
- 27:09Speaker 1: and let loose and have fun. And so you guys
- 27:11Speaker 1: took advantage of that.
- 27:12Speaker 2: Exactly. And also like the conversation during day, they're mostly
- 27:16Speaker 2: about charters. Okay, maybe when we clean in the days
- 27:19Speaker 2: in between, then we maybe talk something casual. But that time,
- 27:22Speaker 2: we can talk whatever we want. So it's like everybody's
- 27:24Speaker 2: looking forward to that time. It's like I want to
- 27:25Speaker 2: actually get to know you better, not just like how
- 27:27Speaker 2: many towels you gave to me, you know? Right. So
- 27:29Speaker 2: it's a very exciting moment. And alcohol is there and
- 27:34Speaker 2: it's put in front of us.
- 27:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 27:37Speaker 2: So it's like we are encouraged to let loose, maybe
- 27:40Speaker 2: say something. You know, I think also they do expect
- 27:44Speaker 2: that people hold back something because the camera is around you.
- 27:48Speaker 2: So when you have alcohol, maybe that world goes a
- 27:51Speaker 2: bit away and that's what they want. Right. I understand that.
- 27:54Speaker 2: It's completely understandable.
- 27:55Speaker 1: Now, they made it seem like you were pursuing the
- 27:59Speaker 1: men a lot. What are your thoughts on that?
- 28:02Speaker 2: Well, it's probably they cannot show completely everything wrong about me.
- 28:07Speaker 2: I can't say that. I saw it and I was like, damn,
- 28:09Speaker 2: maybe I need to think a little bit about it
- 28:11Speaker 2: because I don't want to come across like that.
- 28:14Speaker 1: Meaning you were a little overly aggressive.
- 28:16Speaker 2: Yes. And I didn't realize that. So it was good
- 28:18Speaker 2: for me to see it. And I straight away also
- 28:21Speaker 2: apologized to Adam. I was like, I wouldn't like that
- 28:23Speaker 2: someone comes to me like that. You know, just because
- 28:26Speaker 2: I'm a woman, it doesn't have a difference. But in
- 28:31Speaker 2: that matter, they also exaggerated that because he came to
- 28:36Speaker 2: me the same way. Not the same way, but like.
- 28:39Speaker 2: I mean, same amount of interest.
- 28:41Speaker 1: He made you feel like your advances weren't overly aggressive
- 28:44Speaker 1: like the show made it seem.
- 28:46Speaker 2: And also, there was two times, two times I came
- 28:50Speaker 2: to him and I asked, Adam, am I too much
- 28:52Speaker 2: for you? I was actually giving him the opportunity saying like,
- 28:55Speaker 2: you know, yes, or anything.
- 28:58Speaker 1: Right.
- 28:59Speaker 2: But he's this, let's say, kind, polite guy. He probably
- 29:03Speaker 2: didn't want to upset me. Mm-hmm. But I was like,
- 29:06Speaker 2: don't be a... I come with a question. I understand
- 29:09Speaker 2: it's sometimes hard for yourself to go to the person
- 29:11Speaker 2: and be like, okay, I have a problem with you.
- 29:12Speaker 2: But if I come to you, open up a question.
- 29:15Speaker 2: I'm giving you an opportunity to say yes or no.
- 29:18Speaker 2: And you don't take that twice?
- 29:19Speaker 1: But you're saying he's a nice guy. Maybe he felt
- 29:22Speaker 1: like he didn't want to be confrontational. And I mean,
- 29:26Speaker 1: it did look like you were overly aggressive sexually towards him.
- 29:30Speaker 1: And then later on, he does this confessional where... you know,
- 29:33Speaker 1: a couple times saying that this was too much.
- 29:36Speaker 2: I understand him.
- 29:37Speaker 1: Yeah, so you're hearing that.
- 29:38Speaker 2: But that was not the... the show. That was after.
- 29:41Speaker 2: So that was already a thing, and he needed to
- 29:44Speaker 2: comment on it. Right. And I get it.
- 29:45Speaker 1: So you think that they kind of steered him and said, listen,
- 29:48Speaker 1: what are your thoughts on why she was so aggressive?
- 29:51Speaker 2: Me and Adam, we never had a problem. Also, after
- 29:53Speaker 2: the show, we spoke, and I said, like, sorry, it
- 29:55Speaker 2: looks so bad. He's like, don't worry about it. It's like, oh, fine, and...
- 29:59Speaker 2: And we are good. We don't talk to him that much,
- 30:03Speaker 2: but I did message him. He did answer. He's like,
- 30:06Speaker 2: no worries. Apologies accepted. Like, it's not a big deal,
- 30:09Speaker 2: you know, kind of thing. And I think I learned
- 30:11Speaker 2: from that more than Adam was. I learned from it
- 30:16Speaker 2: more than Adam was suffering from the situation. He wasn't
- 30:19Speaker 2: suffering that much. I learned from it. I was like,
- 30:22Speaker 2: I shouldn't have, like, come that strong on someone. But
- 30:26Speaker 2: it was also put in a different perspective about a
- 30:29Speaker 2: jacuzzi situation where I asked him. He had back pain.
- 30:34Speaker 2: And I was like, I know how to do like massage.
- 30:35Speaker 2: Do you want massage? And at some point, you can
- 30:38Speaker 2: also see that on the episode. He says yes. So
- 30:41Speaker 2: I had his consent. So I was like, OK, I'm
- 30:43Speaker 2: going to help my colleague to have, you know, back massage.
- 30:47Speaker 2: So we went to his cabin where we go together.
- 30:49Speaker 2: Not like the other situation where someone goes in the
- 30:51Speaker 2: cabin unmasked. invited or, you know, non-consensual. Exactly. So we
- 30:56Speaker 2: went there together and I didn't even give him a massage.
- 31:00Speaker 2: I did not give him the massage. Okay. I was
- 31:04Speaker 2: intent to, but then with different events happening on a boat, unfortunately,
- 31:09Speaker 2: exactly that time, everybody was asked to go to their
- 31:12Speaker 2: own cabins. And it was exactly when I was there.
- 31:15Speaker 1: So you're saying this scene that we saw where you're
- 31:18Speaker 1: on top of him, giving him the massage, It's made
- 31:20Speaker 1: to look like, it makes it look like you are
- 31:24Speaker 1: giving him an unwanted massage and the producers had to
- 31:27Speaker 1: come in and pull you off. Whereas you're saying that's
- 31:30Speaker 1: not why they pulled you off. They pulled you off
- 31:32Speaker 1: because the incident with Luke and Margot had just happened
- 31:35Speaker 1: and producers wanted to lock down everyone in their cabins.
- 31:38Speaker 2: Yes, because they had to get Luke out of the boat.
- 31:41Speaker 2: Nobody's supposed to know that or see it. Right, right.
- 31:44Speaker 2: So everybody was in, and we were like, what's happening?
- 31:46Speaker 2: Is there some problem? Is there some surprise coming? Or
- 31:49Speaker 2: no electricity is not there? Like we had no idea.
- 31:52Speaker 2: It was just unfortunate that I was exactly that time
- 31:54Speaker 2: in Adam's cabin and he did want that massage. Okay.
- 31:59Speaker 2: I just didn't give it to him. So I was
- 32:01Speaker 2: all put in like totally different. And I was watching,
- 32:04Speaker 2: I was like, did that really happen? Right. Yeah.
- 32:08Speaker 1: That's interesting to look back. And also, you guys, admittedly
- 32:11Speaker 1: so with everyone, was drinking amounts that are not necessarily
- 32:16Speaker 1: normal on a daily basis. So everyone's, you know, their
- 32:19Speaker 1: actions were a little different maybe than how they would
- 32:21Speaker 1: have been.
- 32:22Speaker 5: That, yes.
- 32:23Speaker 2: But also, when you're so overworked and stressed and you
- 32:29Speaker 2: feel different with cameras around, that amount in a normal day,
- 32:32Speaker 2: which is okay for you, the same amount in that
- 32:36Speaker 2: situation It's too much. So it's not that we were
- 32:39Speaker 2: drinking way more. We were drinking all we can drink. No.
- 32:43Speaker 2: It was the same amount. Maybe two cocktails, three cocktails.
- 32:46Speaker 2: You're in constant stress. You cannot be yourself completely the
- 32:50Speaker 2: whole time because you do have a camera show. You
- 32:52Speaker 2: kind of think all the time a little bit. How
- 32:56Speaker 2: do you come across what you say and all these
- 32:58Speaker 2: kind of things. Plus, we don't sleep much. So sometimes
- 33:02Speaker 2: I went to cabin at four o'clock or three o'clock
- 33:05Speaker 2: and In the morning, we're there for breakfast service. So
- 33:07Speaker 2: we are like overworked, tired. Sometimes I would eat breakfast
- 33:12Speaker 2: and not eat until night. So it's like all your
- 33:14Speaker 2: body is just like work differently. And then even that
- 33:18Speaker 2: one cocktail for you hits like this.
- 33:21Speaker 1: Yeah, I understand that. OK, let's talk about the shower
- 33:25Speaker 1: scene with Luke. That was made to look like you
- 33:27Speaker 1: guys went into the shower. You had decided to make
- 33:30Speaker 1: out with him that night. Everybody had sort of switched
- 33:33Speaker 1: partners a little bit. He first had liked Margo. Then
- 33:36Speaker 1: all of a sudden, she wasn't giving him the affection
- 33:38Speaker 1: he wanted. So he was taking it from you. And
- 33:41Speaker 1: you guys go into the shower. I think it's edited
- 33:44Speaker 1: to look like you guys had sex.
- 33:47Speaker 2: Yeah, now it's a big regret about us that we
- 33:48Speaker 2: didn't because everybody thinks that we did anyways. So yeah,
- 33:52Speaker 2: but no, we didn't.
- 33:53Speaker 1: You did not.
- 33:53Speaker 2: We did kiss.
- 33:55Speaker 1: And that was it.
- 33:56Speaker 2: And it was like two minutes or something. I went
- 33:59Speaker 2: there to ask him something while we were going. I
- 34:01Speaker 2: don't know what it was, but I was, I know,
- 34:03Speaker 2: in my onesie bikini thing. Yeah, that's it.
- 34:10Speaker 1: So it was nothing scandalous?
- 34:12Speaker 2: No. No, unfortunately. Okay.
- 34:15Speaker 1: But, you know, then they added it to show how
- 34:18Speaker 1: you get in bed with him. And you sleep with
- 34:21Speaker 1: him that night and you came out of the cabin
- 34:22Speaker 1: the next morning. Nothing happened.
- 34:24Speaker 2: No, we just hugged. You know when you were like.
- 34:26Speaker 5: The car is beautiful. Where did you end up going
- 34:29Speaker 5: for it?
- 34:29Speaker 3: This exclusive place that Dad has connections with. They have
- 34:32Speaker 3: more cars for more dealerships than like anywhere else.
- 34:35Speaker 5: You have to put me in touch. What's it called?
- 34:37Speaker 4: It's Dune ADL.
- 34:39Speaker 2: Where?
- 34:41Speaker 4: Dune ADL. There's an accent on the E.
- 34:45Speaker 5: Do you mean.
- 34:46Speaker 4: Yes, I got it on Dune Deal cars.
- 34:47Speaker 2: Lift? Please.
- 34:49Speaker 5: You're going past Kimmage.
- 34:50Speaker 2: Oh, Kimmage.
- 34:51Speaker 1: No.
- 34:53Speaker 4: Done deal cars. You couldn't possibly go anywhere else.
- 34:56Speaker 2: Away from everyone. You want kind of that affection. It's
- 35:00Speaker 2: not always romantic or sexual. And we were like, oh,
- 35:03Speaker 2: let's cuddle. We cuddled, and it was just, it felt
- 35:06Speaker 2: so nice to not sleep alone, you know, when you
- 35:08Speaker 2: have that. You're away from everyone. We know these people, like,
- 35:11Speaker 2: for a short amount of time, it's not your real
- 35:13Speaker 2: friends or family. And then you get someone close with someone,
- 35:15Speaker 2: you want that someone to be close. I don't know,
- 35:17Speaker 2: watch a movie, or like, I don't know, something, you know?
- 35:19Speaker 5: I understand.
- 35:20Speaker 2: That cuddle at night was just, It was innocent. So
- 35:22Speaker 2: lovely and very innocent. Yeah.
- 35:24Speaker 1: Okay. I get that. So it's interesting so far how
- 35:27Speaker 1: you've been explaining things that we have watched that seem
- 35:30Speaker 1: so different than what your reality of it.
- 35:32Speaker 2: Imagine me watching it.
- 35:34Speaker 1: Yeah. One thing that they seem to harp on a
- 35:38Speaker 1: lot was how long it took you to get ready
- 35:40Speaker 1: or you were late and you were tired and you
- 35:42Speaker 1: were asking Aisha for extra time off or to switch schedules.
- 35:47Speaker 1: Let's talk about that.
- 35:49Speaker 2: I guess it's finally time to talk about it because
- 35:53Speaker 2: I was not sure I want to talk about it.
- 35:57Speaker 2: But I think it's time. So I found out I
- 36:01Speaker 2: was pregnant on the second day of the show and
- 36:04Speaker 2: I was in shock. That was the first pregnancy for me.
- 36:08Speaker 2: It was a big shock. I thought I have UTI
- 36:12Speaker 2: and I had antibiotics.
- 36:14Speaker 5: It didn't help.
- 36:14Speaker 2: And I spoke with the nurse of the show. She
- 36:18Speaker 2: gave me a test and then I see this post
- 36:20Speaker 2: and I was like, you imagine that shock and I'm
- 36:22Speaker 2: in the bathroom. Outside there's camera waiting for me and
- 36:25Speaker 2: I'm like in shock and crying and I need to
- 36:27Speaker 2: go be with guests.
- 36:30Speaker 1: So you're telling me that the show was actually filming and.
- 36:33Speaker 2: Well, I was finding it out, yeah, and I was
- 36:35Speaker 2: in the bathroom and I was like, I need a
- 36:36Speaker 2: few minutes to understand what's happening, you know? We're not
- 36:40Speaker 2: supposed to touch each other, but I thought this time
- 36:42Speaker 2: is like, I need to talk with Aisha. I said,
- 36:45Speaker 2: can we talk without cameras? And she asked the camera,
- 36:47Speaker 2: she said, yes, okay. And I told her what's happening
- 36:49Speaker 2: because I thought like, she will be the one who
- 36:54Speaker 2: can support me the most. She's like, oh, I send
- 36:57Speaker 2: my stew for, I don't know, a breakup because she
- 36:59Speaker 2: knows what's happening with me. So she will be the
- 37:02Speaker 2: one who would have all the rights to know it.
- 37:05Speaker 2: And I thought so from my protection that it doesn't,
- 37:07Speaker 2: because I really didn't want someone to find out about it.
- 37:11Speaker 2: So I told her for this reason and now it
- 37:14Speaker 2: was turned. completely different that was hurtful actually that was
- 37:18Speaker 2: more hurtful than all the other things because they knew
- 37:20Speaker 2: what's happening and the production also knew because I did
- 37:23Speaker 2: go to hospital twice and of course I asked them
- 37:27Speaker 2: not to show it because I didn't want to explain
- 37:29Speaker 2: what's happening but everybody knew I was in hospital and
- 37:32Speaker 2: they brought me to hospital so it's They knew. And
- 37:35Speaker 2: then they make it look that I am a long
- 37:38Speaker 2: time in the bathroom. Maybe I'm like having a miscarriage
- 37:40Speaker 2: at that time, you know, and I'm bleeding when I
- 37:43Speaker 2: need like 20 minutes just to put myself together to
- 37:45Speaker 2: go and dance for this guest, you know?
- 37:47Speaker 1: Right, right. So how did you handle that situation? Did you,
- 37:52Speaker 1: you know, did you decide you were going to, you
- 37:54Speaker 1: wanted to have the baby and leave the show? Did
- 37:56Speaker 1: you decide you, how did that plan out?
- 37:59Speaker 2: It wasn't the time to have a baby. And I
- 38:03Speaker 2: decided to not. it and we had already um.
- 38:09Speaker 1: Appointment for for that so the crew helped you make
- 38:13Speaker 1: an appointment.
- 38:13Speaker 2: Uh it was the nurse of the of the boat.
- 38:16Speaker 1: Okay okay and she she helped you decide that week
- 38:19Speaker 1: yeah did anyone give you any counseling on no on
- 38:23Speaker 1: any of this i mean that must have been so
- 38:25Speaker 1: much you said it's the first time you've ever been
- 38:27Speaker 1: pregnant i was.
- 38:27Speaker 2: In a really big shock you cannot even imagine and
- 38:30Speaker 2: i felt I felt so bad. I had all the
- 38:33Speaker 2: symptoms you can imagine. I had like a sinus and
- 38:36Speaker 2: I had the morning sickness and I have bloating and
- 38:40Speaker 2: I'm feeling nauseous. It's like everything you can imagine. And
- 38:43Speaker 2: I had to pretend the whole time that I'm good.
- 38:45Speaker 2: And the tiredness comes like this. You could be like
- 38:48Speaker 2: this and you want to fall asleep. And I even
- 38:51Speaker 2: refused to take breaks because I was like, I'm fighting this.
- 38:53Speaker 2: I'm strong. Nothing going to break me, you know, like
- 38:56Speaker 2: I'm going to do this. So I was putting on
- 38:59Speaker 2: that face on the whole time.
- 39:02Speaker 1: And so what I think is incredible, though, that no
- 39:04Speaker 1: one was sitting with you and helping you decide, you know,
- 39:07Speaker 1: do you want to go home and deal with this?
- 39:08Speaker 1: Do you want to have some counseling about your, if
- 39:11Speaker 1: you want to get an abortion, do you need some
- 39:13Speaker 1: counseling that goes along with it? I mean, I think
- 39:15Speaker 1: that's pretty incredible.
- 39:16Speaker 2: I think I came across so strong that they didn't
- 39:18Speaker 2: think I needed. I see. They were like, do you
- 39:21Speaker 2: want to go home? Do you want to talk? I
- 39:22Speaker 2: was like, no, I'm fine. I'm this. They said, do
- 39:24Speaker 2: you want to sit down? Do you want to take
- 39:26Speaker 2: a rest? And I was like, no, I'm going back there.
- 39:28Speaker 2: And after that happened. they're like, should we take you
- 39:31Speaker 2: to hospital? I said, no, I'm going on a charter.
- 39:33Speaker 1: I see. So you ended up having a miscarriage, correct?
- 39:37Speaker 2: So yeah, we had appointment. It was between charters that
- 39:41Speaker 2: I should go and do.
- 39:42Speaker 1: How many days are in between charters, by the way?
- 39:45Speaker 2: Depends. Sometimes it's only one. Sometimes it could be two.
- 39:50Speaker 2: But no more than that. So we don't get to rest.
- 39:51Speaker 1: You had an appointment in between the first charter and
- 39:54Speaker 1: the second charter. Is that what it was to go
- 39:56Speaker 1: get an abortion?
- 39:57Speaker 2: Yes. And we were still on a charter on Monday.
- 40:01Speaker 2: So that was planned for Wednesday. On Monday morning, I
- 40:06Speaker 2: wake up with pain that I cannot explain. And I
- 40:11Speaker 2: was bleeding extensively.
- 40:14Speaker 1: Extensively.
- 40:15Speaker 2: Extensively. And I was in pain, so bathroom was the
- 40:18Speaker 2: only safe place I could be. And I wrote the
- 40:24Speaker 2: nurse straight away. I was like, okay, we don't need
- 40:26Speaker 2: that appointment because this is happening now. She's like, oh,
- 40:30Speaker 2: I can come get you and we can go to
- 40:32Speaker 2: the hospital. And now we did. And it was so
- 40:36Speaker 2: long waiting lines, like, because it's like walk-in. And they say,
- 40:42Speaker 2: we don't know how long you're going to wait. And
- 40:43Speaker 2: I say, I'm leaving. They said, you can't leave. Because
- 40:46Speaker 2: the doctors has asked you to be here. And if
- 40:49Speaker 2: you need to sign a paper that it's on your
- 40:51Speaker 2: own risk that you leave because we are accountable for
- 40:53Speaker 2: you now. You're in hospital. You came here with your situation.
- 40:55Speaker 2: We have to check you before you leave. And I said,
- 40:57Speaker 2: my charter is coming. I have to go. Everybody disagreed
- 41:01Speaker 2: with me. They said I need to stay in hospital.
- 41:03Speaker 2: I signed the paper. I went. And the nurse said, like,
- 41:05Speaker 2: please go back. I said, no, drive me back to
- 41:07Speaker 2: the boat.
- 41:09Speaker 3: Wow.
- 41:09Speaker 2: Yeah. And when I'm like that, and they knew it,
- 41:12Speaker 2: and still make me look that I'm making long time
- 41:15Speaker 2: in a bathroom, I don't even use makeup. That's why
- 41:17Speaker 2: people like having these memes. Oh, she went in looking
- 41:20Speaker 2: the same, came out the same, you know? And I
- 41:22Speaker 2: was like, probably even less because I probably cried and
- 41:24Speaker 2: my mascara was less than I went in, you know?
- 41:26Speaker 2: But that was my only safe place where I could be.
- 41:29Speaker 1: So besides Aisha, did the rest of the crew know
- 41:32Speaker 1: what was going on? No. So they did not?
- 41:34Speaker 2: No.
- 41:34Speaker 1: So was she off camera at least sensitive to what
- 41:39Speaker 1: you were going through? Or was anyone sensitive to what
- 41:41Speaker 1: you were going through?
- 41:42Speaker 2: Since she was the only one who knew to It
- 41:44Speaker 2: only was her. Yeah, she was. She was like, she
- 41:48Speaker 2: was the one who said, do you want to go home? Yeah.
- 41:50Speaker 2: And I said, no, I'm fine. Okay. Yeah.
- 41:53Speaker 1: So you felt like you got some support or someone
- 41:57Speaker 1: being friendly to you, even though it seems like you
- 41:59Speaker 1: didn't want to talk about it.
- 42:01Speaker 2: Yeah. I think she and the main producer as well.
- 42:05Speaker 1: Okay.
- 42:06Speaker 2: We had little girls meeting and she was there for me. Okay.
- 42:09Speaker 1: So the producers knew, not just the.
- 42:11Speaker 2: But I thought the more I'd be like, oh, I
- 42:14Speaker 2: feel so bad. I try not to tell that I
- 42:16Speaker 2: feel so bad because they'll be like, oh, we need
- 42:17Speaker 2: to dismiss her.
- 42:18Speaker 1: I see, yeah. You didn't want to lose your opportunity.
- 42:21Speaker 2: So even if I was bad, I was like, I'm fine,
- 42:23Speaker 2: I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine. I just need like
- 42:25Speaker 2: 20 minutes in the bathroom, you know.
- 42:26Speaker 1: And did they ask you if you could put this
- 42:29Speaker 1: on camera at all?
- 42:30Speaker 2: No, I asked them from the beginning, can this be
- 42:32Speaker 2: like private? And they straight away said, yes, sure.
- 42:34Speaker 4: Got it, okay.
- 42:35Speaker 2: They didn't ever ask me. So.
- 42:38Speaker 1: I think a lot of people now hearing this are
- 42:40Speaker 1: going to say, well, but I watched her get wasted
- 42:43Speaker 1: with the rest of the crew. Explain the timeline of that.
- 42:48Speaker 2: The first time I went out when I was pregnant,
- 42:51Speaker 2: you could see me walking inside the boat and going
- 42:54Speaker 2: straight to my cabin bed. I didn't party with them.
- 42:59Speaker 2: And that time, I already knew I'm not going to
- 43:01Speaker 2: have any baby. So I was like, I'm going to
- 43:03Speaker 2: have a drink, you know? Because I knew.
- 43:07Speaker 1: So you knew, but you didn't get as wasted as
- 43:09Speaker 1: you did later on in the season.
- 43:11Speaker 2: Yeah. The last time, well, maybe that's something to learn from.
- 43:16Speaker 2: I don't want to look like that. That was not
- 43:19Speaker 2: a proud moment to lose something like my eyes. I
- 43:22Speaker 2: don't want to look like that. So it was actually
- 43:24Speaker 2: good to see. I could learn from it. Right.
- 43:27Speaker 1: Just to end on the subject of the abortion, though,
- 43:31Speaker 1: were you ever cleared? Did you find out you were okay?
- 43:34Speaker 1: The baby, you had had an official miscarriage, and you
- 43:37Speaker 1: were no longer pregnant, and then you just moved on?
- 43:40Speaker 1: So they handled that for you?
- 43:41Speaker 2: Yeah, they did help me with that.
- 43:43Speaker 1: Okay, so even though you didn't stay at the doctors
- 43:45Speaker 1: at the hospital?
- 43:46Speaker 2: I went later.
- 43:47Speaker 1: You did, okay.
- 43:48Speaker 2: I think on my own, yeah.
- 43:50Speaker 1: Okay, all right. And are you okay now?
- 43:53Speaker 2: Yes, thank you. Okay.
- 43:54Speaker 1: All right, so let's move on from that for a second.
- 43:56Speaker 1: Let's get to the timeline of when everyone returns to
- 44:01Speaker 1: the boat the night that this whole scandal. The night
- 44:05Speaker 1: of the big scandal.
- 44:06Speaker 2: I need a drink for this.
- 44:07Speaker 1: I only have water.
- 44:07Speaker 2: Okay.
- 44:08Speaker 1: Yeah, I need a drink for this, too. All right,
- 44:10Speaker 1: so the timeline gets a little fuzzy. This is in between.
- 44:13Speaker 1: How many charters have you guys been on now?
- 44:15Speaker 2: That one was the third.
- 44:17Speaker 3: Okay.
- 44:17Speaker 5: Okay.
- 44:18Speaker 1: So that is true in the arc of the episode.
- 44:20Speaker 1: I mean, it seems like they were very clear of,
- 44:23Speaker 1: you know, they didn't make that up. This was kind
- 44:25Speaker 1: of the beginning of when you guys were there. So
- 44:30Speaker 1: lead us through what happens that night.
- 44:32Speaker 2: What happens that night? I also have some memory loss
- 44:34Speaker 2: from that night, right? But what happens?
- 44:37Speaker 1: Well, the biggest point is that everyone was pretty wasted.
- 44:40Speaker 2: Yes, we had a lot of time, a lot of
- 44:42Speaker 2: fun in that. I have even like some interesting videos
- 44:44Speaker 2: from that dinner. We're all dancing, like, I don't know,
- 44:48Speaker 2: giving striptease to each other. It was like, it was wild.
- 44:52Speaker 2: And we come back to the boat and that time
- 44:54Speaker 2: was still COVID times. And it was curfew that the
- 44:57Speaker 2: restaurants wouldn't open after 11. So production also wanted us to,
- 45:01Speaker 2: you know, not cut the night at 11. So they
- 45:04Speaker 2: just continue the party on the boat. So we are
- 45:08Speaker 2: in those taxis that we have to get back. We
- 45:12Speaker 2: all agree, let's go to the jacuzzi. Everybody, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 45:16Speaker 2: We come to the boat. One wants their noodles. One
- 45:19Speaker 2: wants to shower, change, call mom, whatever. So everybody's kind
- 45:22Speaker 2: of getting ready for the party. Someone's making a drink.
- 45:26Speaker 2: And Luke was the first one who already went up,
- 45:29Speaker 2: because he was ready. He was the most ready, you know?
- 45:31Speaker 2: He goes in the jacuzzi, and you can see the scene.
- 45:33Speaker 2: He's sitting and looking around. Is anyone coming or not?
- 45:37Speaker 2: He's like, okay, I'm going to go and check it out.
- 45:38Speaker 2: Because he was just sitting alone. Like, you know, you're
- 45:40Speaker 2: in the mood and you're just sitting there alone. It's like, like, post-killer,
- 45:43Speaker 2: you know. So he goes downstairs and.
- 45:45Speaker 5: The car is beautiful. Where did you end up going
- 45:48Speaker 5: for it?
- 45:49Speaker 3: This exclusive place that Dad has connections with. They have
- 45:51Speaker 3: more cars for more dealerships than, like, anywhere else.
- 45:54Speaker 5: You have to put me in touch. What's it called?
- 45:56Speaker 4: It's Dunaidial.
- 45:58Speaker 2: Where?
- 46:00Speaker 4: Dunaidial. There's an accent on the E.
- 46:04Speaker 5: Do you mean.
- 46:05Speaker 4: Yes, I got it on Dundiel Cars.
- 46:06Speaker 2: Lyft? Please.
- 46:08Speaker 5: You're going past Kimaj?
- 46:09Speaker 2: Oh, Kimaj! No.
- 46:12Speaker 4: Don't deal cars. You couldn't possibly go anywhere else.
- 46:15Speaker 2: Ask who's coming. We're like, yeah, yeah, yeah, we're coming.
- 46:18Speaker 2: And everybody's going up and he's like, where's Margot? He's
- 46:22Speaker 2: trying to be like a nice person, not to leave
- 46:24Speaker 2: one person behind. Because they just also had a good
- 46:27Speaker 2: night that night. They kissed and, you know.
- 46:29Speaker 1: Yeah, clarify what you mean by good night. Because up
- 46:31Speaker 1: until this point, the viewers have seen that she has
- 46:34Speaker 1: kind of torn between... two men, you know, going back
- 46:38Speaker 1: and forth and flirting with both. And, you know, there's
- 46:42Speaker 1: Harry that she likes and that very much likes her.
- 46:46Speaker 1: And then there's Luke.
- 46:47Speaker 2: He's such a cute guy.
- 46:48Speaker 1: And then there's Luke that.
- 46:49Speaker 2: Luke is more interesting for her. Right.
- 46:51Speaker 1: And more of a catch.
- 46:52Speaker 2: Harry was a very, very, very nice guy.
- 46:54Speaker 1: Sweet guy.
- 46:54Speaker 2: That's why she said herself, I never go for the
- 46:57Speaker 2: good guys. I'm always going for the bad guys. I
- 47:00Speaker 2: should maybe change that, but this is how it is.
- 47:02Speaker 1: But on this night in question... She was getting a
- 47:05Speaker 1: lot of attention from Luke, and she was partaking in
- 47:07Speaker 1: that attention. Like, they were making out. They were dancing together.
- 47:10Speaker 1: They were clearly connected that night. And you've mentioned to
- 47:13Speaker 1: me before that this is, you know, everybody sort of
- 47:17Speaker 1: hooked up with everybody, right?
- 47:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 47:18Speaker 1: I mean, this was like a round robin of stuff.
- 47:21Speaker 1: And it wasn't, it didn't seem scandalous, right? It was
- 47:23Speaker 1: just a lot of kissing, making out.
- 47:25Speaker 2: Yeah, we actually, we like each other so much. Like,
- 47:27Speaker 2: all crew, we are so good. Mm-hmm. We were completely
- 47:30Speaker 2: different than you see now on cameras. Like, we were
- 47:32Speaker 2: so good. I actually didn't know we even have any
- 47:34Speaker 2: drama there, except that incident. But, yeah, I also, I
- 47:38Speaker 2: really like Margot. I'm not sexually interested in women, but
- 47:41Speaker 2: I just really like her. We also kissed because, like, oh,
- 47:43Speaker 2: my God, I'm just so like you, like, you know?
- 47:46Speaker 2: You know? And, like, friendly kisses. Right.
- 47:49Speaker 1: Not a makeout, you mean?
- 47:50Speaker 2: Well, we.
- 47:52Speaker 1: A little makeout. A little drunk makeout.
- 47:54Speaker 2: Yes, but out of love. Like, girl, I'm so happy
- 47:56Speaker 2: you're my roommate. You know, this kind of thing. Right. And, yeah,
- 48:00Speaker 2: we go back. Luke is there alone. He comes to
- 48:03Speaker 2: check on us. He's like, okay, Margot is left. Like,
- 48:06Speaker 2: where's Margot? Because everybody's already going. So he goes in
- 48:09Speaker 2: the cabin. Margot, are you coming? And he sees her sleeping.
- 48:13Speaker 2: And he asks her, Margot, are you feeling okay? She's like, yes,
- 48:17Speaker 2: sleepy time. He asks, are you feeling 10 out of 10?
- 48:20Speaker 2: Or 9 out of 10? She's like, 10, sure. She's
- 48:24Speaker 2: talking to him. She feels very good. So he's kind
- 48:26Speaker 2: of asking, so are we like continue what we started today?
- 48:29Speaker 2: Are you coming to the jacuzzi?
- 48:30Speaker 1: Now, wait, let me stop you here. Do you know
- 48:32Speaker 1: this because of what you watched back or you heard
- 48:34Speaker 1: this down the hall?
- 48:36Speaker 2: No, I didn't hear it. Okay. No, I've spoken to
- 48:39Speaker 2: Luke and also it's like kind of obvious. Like he... No,
- 48:44Speaker 2: I was down when he was coming and he said
- 48:45Speaker 2: he can check on Marco. We all left. We were
- 48:47Speaker 2: not there.
- 48:48Speaker 1: So no one was there?
- 48:49Speaker 2: No.
- 48:49Speaker 1: Okay, go ahead.
- 48:50Speaker 2: So he went to... Imagine if all of us, seven
- 48:53Speaker 2: or eight, how many we were, we're going and she's
- 48:55Speaker 2: left behind. So he kind of wanted to make sure
- 48:58Speaker 2: that she doesn't want to join. So he went there.
- 49:01Speaker 2: I can agree. He could just stand there and wake
- 49:04Speaker 2: her up and say, you're going to come. He don't
- 49:06Speaker 2: need to come in a bed to ask that question.
- 49:09Speaker 2: I cannot defend him there. But because I think, OK,
- 49:15Speaker 2: a few drinks too many and you have this like
- 49:18Speaker 2: we have this kind of connection. connection if I'm next
- 49:21Speaker 2: to her it's like it's a I don't want to
- 49:26Speaker 2: use like bad words not like accepted but like we
- 49:30Speaker 2: were close we are in that or of each other
- 49:33Speaker 2: so maybe he felt comfortable to laid down to ask her,
- 49:36Speaker 2: are you okay? Like, he was just, like, worried if
- 49:38Speaker 2: she's okay and if she's going to join or if she's, like,
- 49:40Speaker 2: feeling very sick.
- 49:41Speaker 1: But I think the question was that he got in
- 49:44Speaker 1: bed naked.
- 49:45Speaker 2: No, he did not.
- 49:46Speaker 1: Okay, explain.
- 49:47Speaker 2: So he was in jacuzzi. He comes down, like, guy's shorter, like,
- 49:51Speaker 2: more than our bikinis. It's, like, dripping all wet. He's
- 49:54Speaker 2: taking it off and put the towel around him because
- 49:57Speaker 2: it's already dripping, you know. So our cabins are just
- 50:00Speaker 2: next to each other, and he was like, oh, should I,
- 50:02Speaker 2: you know, go back to jacuzzi, is it happening, or
- 50:05Speaker 2: we are, like, calling night. So he put the towel
- 50:08Speaker 2: around and go to check if we are coming. I
- 50:11Speaker 2: was not there anymore, and Marco was there. So he
- 50:13Speaker 2: goes in the bed, ask her, and then he, as
- 50:17Speaker 2: he comes up from the, comes down from the bunk bed,
- 50:23Speaker 2: the towel is ripped like this. The towel dropped. Unfortunately,
- 50:27Speaker 2: the towel dropped. And you can see he didn't go
- 50:30Speaker 2: in the cabin naked. He had a towel because he
- 50:32Speaker 2: was in jacuzzi before.
- 50:33Speaker 1: But he did get in the bed naked. I think
- 50:35Speaker 1: that's where... No, he did not.
- 50:37Speaker 2: There's a towel around him.
- 50:37Speaker 1: Oh, you mean he got up on the bed with
- 50:39Speaker 1: the towel around his waist. I see what you're saying. Now,
- 50:42Speaker 1: when he got off the bed, the towel kind of
- 50:44Speaker 1: slipped down.
- 50:47Speaker 2: The towel is like, you know, put in like this.
- 50:49Speaker 2: And he comes down and the towel dropped. Can you
- 50:52Speaker 2: imagine being drunk? You have a camera this big in
- 50:55Speaker 2: front of you and you're... naked in front.
- 50:59Speaker 1: So he shut the car. I rewatched it yesterday. And
- 51:02Speaker 1: I agree with you that it does look like when
- 51:04Speaker 1: he's standing there saying, give me a break, dude, or
- 51:07Speaker 1: whatever he says, get the fuck out.
- 51:09Speaker 2: He just wanted to pick up the towel.
- 51:10Speaker 1: He looked like he was saying, give me a break
- 51:12Speaker 1: because you're filming me. Exactly.
- 51:14Speaker 2: Imagine yourself being like, but as naked in front of
- 51:17Speaker 2: a big camera.
- 51:17Speaker 1: I did get that. Yes, I did feel like that
- 51:21Speaker 1: was believable.
- 51:22Speaker 2: He was just closing the door to have that one
- 51:24Speaker 2: second to lift the, you know. Right. I think everybody's,
- 51:29Speaker 2: the first reaction of self-protection would be that, I want
- 51:31Speaker 2: to cover myself to go out. So he grew up this,
- 51:36Speaker 2: and he was annoyed because they keep on offering, they're like,
- 51:39Speaker 2: give me a moment to have the towel. He had
- 51:41Speaker 2: no bad intentions to Margot or to anyone, ever. And
- 51:45Speaker 2: he was, he took the towel, went in his cabin,
- 51:48Speaker 2: never came back again. Like, he wasn't, it's intentions. The
- 51:51Speaker 2: only intention was like, are you joining us? Are we
- 51:53Speaker 2: continuing the party or not? And then the party finished. finished.
- 51:56Speaker 2: And then it was the whole different story.
- 51:57Speaker 1: Right. So I think that that's where it gets interesting
- 52:01Speaker 1: because then it was like a buzzkill, right? He goes
- 52:04Speaker 1: into his room. Aisha goes and talks to the captain
- 52:07Speaker 1: and says he was so embarrassed of what he did.
- 52:10Speaker 1: He locked himself in his room. We can see he's
- 52:12Speaker 1: just sleeping.
- 52:12Speaker 2: I don't think he locked, I think captain locked him
- 52:15Speaker 2: in so he wouldn't leave. I don't think he did.
- 52:17Speaker 1: So the way that they worded it is that he
- 52:20Speaker 1: had locked himself in and his bunkmate had to go
- 52:23Speaker 1: sleep elsewhere because he couldn't get in. And, you know,
- 52:27Speaker 1: it was interesting the way that people categorized it the
- 52:30Speaker 1: next morning where Margot said she felt something weird had happened.
- 52:34Speaker 1: I think Aisha had her own issues with sexual harassment
- 52:37Speaker 1: in the past that she was triggered by that made
- 52:40Speaker 1: her get upset.
- 52:40Speaker 2: Exactly what happened. Margot didn't even remember what happened. She
- 52:44Speaker 2: was told what happened.
- 52:45Speaker 5: Right.
- 52:45Speaker 2: Aisha came to her and was like, oh, did you
- 52:48Speaker 2: know Luke came in your cabinet? And she's like, what?
- 52:51Speaker 2: Margot had no issue with it, and Margot wouldn't have
- 52:53Speaker 2: any issue with it. That was all made for, oh,
- 52:56Speaker 2: we have opportunity to have this important topic to be
- 53:01Speaker 2: spoken about. Let's do it. We don't care about that
- 53:04Speaker 2: that would hurt other people. but we can make it bigger.
- 53:08Speaker 2: We can have attention about it.
- 53:10Speaker 1: Well, you're saying that you guys were close. I mean,
- 53:11Speaker 1: did anyone besides you, at least on camera, say, well,
- 53:15Speaker 1: wait a minute, you know, I don't think that was
- 53:17Speaker 1: his intention. That sounds crazy.
- 53:19Speaker 2: Nobody had balls to do that because they'll be judged
- 53:22Speaker 2: because they're not a part of the bigger group. Oh,
- 53:24Speaker 2: everybody thinks like that. I should go that way because
- 53:27Speaker 2: it's more safe.
- 53:28Speaker 1: They'll be thinking all the same.
- 53:31Speaker 2: It's like a peer pressure.
- 53:33Speaker 1: So what was it about the stance that you took
- 53:36Speaker 1: that got you fired?
- 53:38Speaker 2: Sorry?
- 53:39Speaker 1: What was it about how you reacted? Oh, I was like...
- 53:42Speaker 1: Why did you get let go?
- 53:43Speaker 2: I was like, why did that happen? What did he do?
- 53:47Speaker 2: Without even me knowing what happened, knowing Luke, I know
- 53:51Speaker 2: that he didn't have any bad intentions. I was not there,
- 53:54Speaker 2: first of all. I didn't see it. Second of all,
- 53:56Speaker 2: I didn't have a chance to talk to Luke because
- 53:57Speaker 2: he was already sent away. Nobody knows nothing, and they're
- 53:59Speaker 2: not going to show anything.
- 54:00Speaker 1: And even Margot didn't get a chance to talk to Luke, correct?
- 54:02Speaker 2: No. And Margot doesn't even know what happened. So in
- 54:04Speaker 2: that moment, I know absolutely nothing, absolutely nothing. But I
- 54:12Speaker 2: know Luke would not do anything bad. So I was like,
- 54:15Speaker 2: that's not, I feel it's wrong. It's like, why was
- 54:18Speaker 2: he let go? And then they're like, oh, Laura cares
- 54:21Speaker 2: about that situation more than she cares about Margot. And
- 54:25Speaker 2: it's not true. I care a lot about Margot. I
- 54:27Speaker 2: went to her and I asked her, honey, what happened?
- 54:30Speaker 2: And she's like, I don't want to talk about it.
- 54:31Speaker 2: I'm like, okay, whenever you're ready, let's talk about it.
- 54:34Speaker 2: And we never did. And then after I was let go,
- 54:39Speaker 2: I called Luke. I was like, Luke, buddy, tell me
- 54:43Speaker 2: why I got fired. So what did you do so
- 54:46Speaker 2: bad that I deserve this? I was like, I'm not
- 54:49Speaker 2: regretting it. I have a feeling that you didn't do
- 54:51Speaker 2: anything bad. He's like, I have no idea. I was like, okay,
- 54:55Speaker 2: we're going to see. I'm there with you.
- 54:57Speaker 1: Well, that shows you the power of how people behave
- 54:59Speaker 1: when they are drinking. If he didn't remember and it
- 55:01Speaker 1: got him, you know, he lost his, time on the show.
- 55:04Speaker 1: He lost his job. I'm sure he's having a difficult
- 55:06Speaker 1: time recovering from that stigma.
- 55:09Speaker 2: He's very strong. He's been my, how to say, supporter
- 55:12Speaker 2: and my inspirer of being strong.
- 55:15Speaker 1: Inspiration.
- 55:16Speaker 2: And not to be caught in the things that people
- 55:21Speaker 2: try to project on you. Sure. You need to know
- 55:23Speaker 2: who you are and what happened, what actually happened, what
- 55:25Speaker 2: could have happened.
- 55:27Speaker 1: So you're saying that they made a lesson out of
- 55:29Speaker 1: this as opposed to the reality that it was... Innocent,
- 55:34Speaker 1: but it was inappropriate because of people's behavior, because of
- 55:37Speaker 1: drinking too much, obviously stepping over boundaries of going into
- 55:41Speaker 1: people's rooms that they shouldn't, you know, not having verbal
- 55:45Speaker 1: consent when somebody wasn't drunk to even, you know, be
- 55:48Speaker 1: next to them when they were trying to sleep. So
- 55:51Speaker 1: all these things went down. But in your opinion, would
- 55:55Speaker 1: you say that you believe that that is not OK?
- 55:59Speaker 2: To have no consent, of course, not OK. Right.
- 56:02Speaker 1: I mean, you know that even though you like someone,
- 56:06Speaker 1: that doesn't mean they don't do bad things.
- 56:07Speaker 2: Yes, for sure. But I think the fact that she
- 56:10Speaker 2: was talking to him, if she'll be completely passed out
- 56:14Speaker 2: drunk and don't even realize that he's there, she was
- 56:18Speaker 2: talking to him, so I thought, like, they're talking.
- 56:22Speaker 1: Well, I think the issue there is that no means no,
- 56:24Speaker 1: and even though she wasn't able to say no, You know,
- 56:27Speaker 1: you could have a really nice date with somebody and
- 56:28Speaker 1: then they can rape you, you know, and you can't
- 56:31Speaker 1: blame the woman for having a nice date.
- 56:33Speaker 2: Have happened. I know. Have happened in my life.
- 56:37Speaker 1: But nothing happened. Nothing happened. And I do think.
- 56:40Speaker 2: He didn't rape and he didn't try to push himself
- 56:43Speaker 2: on her or kiss her or anything. Nothing happened. Right.
- 56:46Speaker 1: And the issue is... They were trying to prevent something
- 56:49Speaker 1: from happening if that was going to go down and
- 56:52Speaker 1: take that turn. But nobody does know, you know. But
- 56:55Speaker 1: you lost your job for supporting him as opposed to
- 57:00Speaker 1: the woman in the situation or the victim. I shouldn't
- 57:02Speaker 1: even say woman because it can happen either way.
- 57:04Speaker 2: So if she would be a victim, if he would
- 57:06Speaker 2: try something on her, I would 100% be against it
- 57:09Speaker 2: and I would do everything with Margot, like for Margot
- 57:12Speaker 2: and with Margot. But because he didn't do anything, I
- 57:15Speaker 2: couldn't stand about something that might could have happened. Even
- 57:19Speaker 2: if he kissed her or something, even that little thing,
- 57:23Speaker 2: it will be a different story for me. I will
- 57:25Speaker 2: be a warrior of the girls.
- 57:26Speaker 1: Okay. When you were called to the bridge by the captain,
- 57:31Speaker 1: what reason did he give you for letting you go?
- 57:35Speaker 2: That crew doesn't feel safe around me, I guess. I
- 57:39Speaker 2: didn't actually know why I got fired. I asked him
- 57:41Speaker 2: for a year. I had no idea. Okay.
- 57:45Speaker 1: Well, I mean, I think that is interesting if he
- 57:47Speaker 1: said the crew didn't feel safe.
- 57:49Speaker 2: He said about boundaries. I think he was kind of
- 57:52Speaker 2: vaguely touching them, but I didn't really understand. I was like, okay,
- 57:55Speaker 2: it's not going to happen again. It's good you called
- 57:59Speaker 2: me for saying this. So I see a lot of captains,
- 58:02Speaker 2: they have a problem or issue, they talk. And you're like, oh,
- 58:05Speaker 2: I'm sorry, Captain. Not going to happen again. But I
- 58:07Speaker 2: didn't have that.
- 58:08Speaker 1: But that's an interesting perspective. So from their side, they
- 58:11Speaker 1: must have seen this aggression towards Adam a little more
- 58:15Speaker 1: maybe than you were seeing. Because you're saying that later on,
- 58:19Speaker 1: when he did the confessional eight months after the show,
- 58:22Speaker 1: that they kind of exacerbated that and made it look
- 58:25Speaker 1: more than it was. But I think the captain was
- 58:27Speaker 1: saying at that point.
- 58:28Speaker 2: Captain didn't know. Adam came to Aisha and said, I
- 58:31Speaker 2: actually asked him, oh, I see Laura's kind of like,
- 58:34Speaker 2: you know, on you. And he's like, yeah, I don't
- 58:36Speaker 2: want to tell her. But, you know, so she's like, oh,
- 58:40Speaker 2: I have one opportunity to let Laura go because she
- 58:43Speaker 2: didn't want me there. Because you saw I made her
- 58:45Speaker 2: look bad quite a few places because I was right
- 58:48Speaker 2: about many things. And it didn't look bad on her.
- 58:51Speaker 2: So I was not her favorite. Right. I see. She's
- 58:53Speaker 2: supposed to be the good one and the liked one.
- 58:55Speaker 2: But my intention to be good and do the right
- 58:58Speaker 2: thing wasn't to be better than her. It was for
- 59:00Speaker 2: our department to succeed. And she took it personal. So
- 59:02Speaker 2: it wasn't personal. So she went. I actually wanted me out.
- 59:06Speaker 2: So she went to Jason and be like, oh, we
- 59:08Speaker 2: have this problem with Adam. I don't want Laura there.
- 59:11Speaker 2: And he's like, oh, okay.
- 59:13Speaker 1: So after you left the show, what was your relationship
- 59:16Speaker 1: with the other crew like?
- 59:17Speaker 2: Oh, with Serena, good. We have matching tattoos. Oh. Yes.
- 59:24Speaker 2: I really adore the woman. She's so good at cooking.
- 59:28Speaker 2: She's an amazing chef. I think her position on the
- 59:30Speaker 2: boat is the hardest. I know we all think our
- 59:32Speaker 2: positions are the hardest, but I think hers really is.
- 59:34Speaker 2: I really respect her. We spoke quite often, sending each
- 59:39Speaker 2: other like, I'm a chef as well, like, oh, this
- 59:41Speaker 2: is a nice lunch you made. You know, these kind
- 59:43Speaker 2: of things. And talk a little bit about the show.
- 59:44Speaker 2: We met up in West Palm. Spent like all day together. Luke,
- 59:50Speaker 2: of course. As it was on the show, he was
- 59:53Speaker 2: my closest person on the show and has been the
- 59:56Speaker 2: closest person after the show. Margot, we've been talking a lot.
- 59:59Speaker 2: She's been apologizing to me that how that all came out.
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: I have very nice messages from her actually on the
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: way here. I was reading them. She's like, I know
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: we come from different backgrounds and I'm not wrong, you're
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: not wrong. It's just different. I'm more sensitive in these
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: kind of things than you are not, but I can't
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: blame you for that because... She said, sometimes I wish
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: I had a thick skin like yours, but I'm just
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: this way. And I'm like, I'm sorry that I couldn't
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: sympathize with you because I don't feel it like that.
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: It doesn't come from me, but it shouldn't matter. I
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: should ask you how you feel and feel for you.
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: Because for me, that's nothing, you know? But for other people,
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: maybe it's not nothing. So Margot, also very good. And
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: actually Jamie. I didn't get to see her in person,
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: but she took my place. And I Couldn't wish for
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: anyone else to finish in my place. She's amazing. Great.
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: Okay, so you had relationships with people after the show.
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: It wasn't that they turned their back on you.
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: It was after the show.
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: After it aired. After the show.
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: And after it aired, that's a different story.
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: Because I'm the villain. So it's not going to look
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: good on them to be friends with me. Right. So
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: then that changed. So then only Luke and Jamie left.
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: All the rest, gone. Wow. Okay.
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: How come Luke has not come out with a public statement?
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: Wait for it. Okay.
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: So you obviously watched the show when it came out.
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: You obviously have a different reaction from what you're saying
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: reality is. What do you think is the most misunderstood
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: thing about you?
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: That I support rape or sexual assault and that the
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: interest in me and Adam was only one-sided. They also
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: didn't see the kiss where he gave it to me.
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: I wish they did.
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: Okay, interesting. How has this changed the trajectory of your
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: career since the show aired?
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: I don't think it has because I am still with
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: the same job that I was before it was aired.
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: My bosses know I'm there. They laugh about it. They
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: know who I am. And they say, of course. I
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: think people actually understand. There's a big part of people
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: that understand and they see through it. I have people
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: messaging me on Instagram. Even last week, you were my
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: favorite on Reload Deck. And I don't even understand. I
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: was like, I was portrayed so bad, how can I
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: be your favorite character? And I asked them, why? I
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: have like at least, I don't know how many, but many.
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: And I asked them, how, why?
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: And what was their reason?
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: You were so real, you were so sassy, you spoke
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: your mind, you were the only one down on earth,
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: you were so real. I think the real was coming
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: up the most.
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: Yeah, right, that you were transparent.
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: Yeah, it was interesting to watch you.
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: So there was no reunion. You never got to tell
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: your story, explain anything or apologize. First of all, why
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: wasn't there a reunion?
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: I think because.
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: Like if any time to have a reunion, I feel
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: like that would have been a show for everyone to
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: get together and talk.
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: I think when there will be a reunion, they would
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: actually see that we are not that bad with each other.
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: And they'll be like, oh. We made it a big
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: deal and actually it wasn't. That's my guess. I don't know.
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: There will be like seeing me and Margot with everyone
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: and be like, oh, but she did something so wrong.
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: Everybody should not be friends with them, you know? I
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: know that Captain Jason, Aisha, and others spoke with Luke
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: after the show very nicely. I'm so sorry, Luke, you're
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: such a good person. I was so, how to say,
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: so unfortunate that this happened. Captain Jason asked him, to
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: work with him four months later. If they really thought
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: he did something so wrong, Captain would never ask him
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: to work with him off the show.
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: So, I mean, I just think it's very clear in
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: this hour that we've had together that you've really talked
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: about the fact that producers really do a job of editing.
- 1:03:52Speaker 2: They're great. They're so good in their job. I mean,
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: this is their bread. They are great. Not good for me,
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: but they're great. Right, right, right.
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: Would you ever go back on another reality show?
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: It's a good question. I've been asked. So now I'm
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: like thinking. Okay. I'm thinking.
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: So we might see you again somewhere?
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: Somewhere. But I'm thinking.
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: You might be on one of those villain shows.
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: I think that's what I should do.
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: That would be a good booking for you. If you
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: could go back, tell me one thing you would do differently.
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: Not many, actually. I was myself, but I would drink less. Okay.
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: So I have maybe better decisions out of that. And
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: what else? Oh, maybe don't trust so quickly. And then
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: being like, oh, so trust needs to be earned. I
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: gave it away in a split second.
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: Okay. Where are you working now? You're still working in yachting, yeah?
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: I do. I'm actually personal chef for the family I
- 1:05:01Speaker 2: work for. So it's Could be travels, could be their house,
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: could be yachts, could... Great.
- 1:05:06Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: And you were happy?
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: Very happy. Good.
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: Well, it was such a pleasure to meet you. I
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: wish you luck in the future. If people want to
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: find you, where can they find you? Like your Instagram?
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: They can find me on Instagram, Lbilene.
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: Spell it.
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: L-B-I-L-E-N-E.
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: Okay, well, we'll put it up. Okay, great. I really
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: appreciate you being here. I'm thankful that you cleared it up. Oh,
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: last question for you. During this whole reality reckoning thing
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: with Bethany talking about how stars on reality TV are
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: edited in a certain way and that's affected their lives,
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: has that been something you've been following? Have you reached
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: out to Bethany? Is that something that you feel like
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: you want to get on the bandwagon with?
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: I haven't actually, but... Seeing that, I think people really
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: wanted me to be affected by it negatively. And I
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: actually have thanked them all that it made me stronger.
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: I realized with all the negativity come my way that
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: I didn't, it didn't influence me. And I felt so
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: strong about it. I was like, that's coming my way.
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: And I have this in front of me. And I
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: started to feel, I started to love myself even more.
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: I was like, you're actually awesome. With all the negativity,
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: I started to go to gym. I bought roller skates.
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: I fell down. I'm twisting my ankle. And started pedal,
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: all these things. And I was like, I'm actually very
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: independent and happy with myself. And all that I saw,
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: it didn't touch me.
- 1:06:43Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:06:44Speaker 2: Okay. All right.
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: Good to know. Well, thank you so much. I hope
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: people reach out to you. I hope people do give
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: you a chance. I think you have explained a lot
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: of things and clarified a lot of things. And I
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: think that is not only good for you to be
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: able to have a voice, but I think it's good
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: for other people to hear and realize that not everything
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: you see on television is reality.
- 1:07:03Speaker 2: Exactly that. And thank you for having that cleared out
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: and opportunity also for viewers to have that experience.
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: Absolutely.
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: Okay. Thank you.
- 1:07:10Speaker 5: Thank you.

- 1:07:55Speaker 5: The car is beautiful. Where did you end up going
- 1:07:58Speaker 5: for it?
- 1:07:58Speaker 3: This exclusive place that Dad has connections with. They have
- 1:08:01Speaker 3: more cars for more dealerships than like anywhere else.
- 1:08:04Speaker 5: You have to put me in touch. What's it called?
- 1:08:06Speaker 4: It's Dunaidial.
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: Where?
- 1:08:10Speaker 5: Dunaidial.
- 1:08:11Speaker 4: There's an accent on the E.
- 1:08:14Speaker 5: Do you mean.
- 1:08:14Speaker 4: Yes, I got it on Dundale Cars.
- 1:08:16Speaker 3: Lift?
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: Please.
- 1:08:17Speaker 5: Are you going past Kimmage?
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: Oh, Kimmage.
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: No.
- 1:08:21Speaker 4: Dundale Cars. You couldn't possibly go anywhere else.
