- 0:01Speaker 1: Live on Sky News. This is Shari.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Good Evening, another massive night of news. Israel Wan's hardline
- 0:12Speaker 2: Kamenae successes will be targeted. This is Israel shoots down
- 0:17Speaker 2: an Iranian man jet over Tehran and the Canadian Prime
- 0:21Speaker 2: Minister here in Australia says the war is inconsistent with
- 0:25Speaker 2: international law. I've got an exclusive interview with Israeli Minister
- 0:29Speaker 2: Amakai Chickley and I'll ask him if Iran's new Supreme
- 0:34Speaker 2: Leader Khamene's son is top of their target list. Also
- 0:38Speaker 2: on the show, how the Magabase is reacting to Trump's
- 0:41Speaker 2: war on Iran. Miranda Divine in New York will give
- 0:45Speaker 2: the inside detail on how Tucker Carlson is now being shunned.
- 0:50Speaker 3: By the White House.
- 0:52Speaker 2: Plus why a prison guard suddenly being trained for Category
- 0:55Speaker 2: five female extremists? Is it a sign Bias's brides are
- 0:59Speaker 2: on their way? Michael Kroger and Browin Bishop will be
- 1:02Speaker 2: here and the bust up that sank a two hundred
- 1:06Speaker 2: million dollar deal. We'll get the latest on the fallout
- 1:09Speaker 2: from Kyle and Jackio. But let's get to the breaking
- 1:13Speaker 2: news in Iran and the Middle East. America and Israel
- 1:16Speaker 2: have continued heavy air strikes on military targets, destroying Iran's
- 1:21Speaker 2: naval and air defenses, and amazingly, Israel hit a leadership
- 1:26Speaker 2: compound in Tehran where the clerical body that elects Iran's
- 1:31Speaker 2: supreme leader meets, although Tehran claims it.
- 1:34Speaker 3: Was empty at the time.
- 1:37Speaker 2: The big question over the past few days has been
- 1:40Speaker 2: who will take over from Kamena, And now we have
- 1:43Speaker 2: an answer. Iran has reportedly elected a new supreme leader,
- 1:50Speaker 2: Kamone's son, mosh Taba Khamene. It's believed that he is
- 1:56Speaker 2: as hard line as his father, which means he could
- 1:59Speaker 2: very well will be the next target of American and
- 2:03Speaker 2: Israeli strikes. Trump gave an update today, saying that much
- 2:07Speaker 2: of Iran's military has been taken out and most of
- 2:10Speaker 2: the potential successes are now dead.
- 2:14Speaker 4: They have no navy, it's been knocked out. They have
- 2:17Speaker 4: no air force has been knocked out, they have no
- 2:20Speaker 4: air detection that's been knocked out, their radar has been
- 2:22Speaker 4: knocked out, and just about everything's been knocked out. Well,
- 2:28Speaker 4: most of the people we had in mind are dead.
- 2:31Speaker 4: So you know, we had some in mind from that
- 2:33Speaker 4: group that is dead, and now we have another group.
- 2:38Speaker 4: They may be dead.
- 2:39Speaker 2: Also, Trump and Marco Rubio also clarified that it was
- 2:45Speaker 2: America that made the decision to go to war with
- 2:49Speaker 2: Iran and that it wasn't Israel pushing them into this.
- 2:54Speaker 4: Based on the way the negotiation was going, I think
- 2:56Speaker 4: they were going to attack first, and I don't want
- 3:00Speaker 4: that to happen. So, if anything, I might have forced
- 3:03Speaker 4: Israel's hand.
- 3:06Speaker 2: The Democrats and the MAGA movement were in basically hysterics
- 3:10Speaker 2: over a comment from Marco Rubio that was cut in
- 3:13Speaker 2: half and taken out of context, and Rubio was pretty
- 3:17Speaker 2: angry about this today.
- 3:20Speaker 5: That's what I said yesterday, and you guys need to
- 3:22Speaker 5: play it him. You're going to play these statements. You
- 3:23Speaker 5: need to play the whole statement, not clipping to reach
- 3:26Speaker 5: a narrative that you want to do.
- 3:27Speaker 2: All right, and he explained once again why the operation
- 3:32Speaker 2: in Iran needs to happen. The Wall Street Journal put
- 3:36Speaker 2: it well in its editorial when it said this, far
- 3:40Speaker 2: from manipulating Trump, he has made Israel the most effective
- 3:44Speaker 2: false multiplier America has. It's to Trump's credit that he
- 3:49Speaker 2: seizes the opportunities an ally creates to defeat shared adversaries.
- 3:57Speaker 2: It's an excellent point on how the relationship has developed
- 4:00Speaker 2: between the United States and Israel under both Trump and
- 4:03Speaker 2: nedin Yahoo. Meanwhile, here in Australia, police have now said
- 4:09Speaker 2: they're aware of the mosques in Sydney that mourned the
- 4:13Speaker 2: death of Ayatola Kamenee and they will investigate, they say
- 4:17Speaker 2: if appropriate. They say they need to see if there
- 4:20Speaker 2: are any breaches of the law for supporting a prescribed
- 4:24Speaker 2: terrorist organization. Now here's the actual statement that New Southwales
- 4:28Speaker 2: Police gave me today. Their spokesman said, the New Southwales
- 4:32Speaker 2: Police Force are aware of a number of mosques holding
- 4:35Speaker 2: commemoration ceremonies to mark the death of Ayatola Ali Khamene.
- 4:42Speaker 2: These ceremonies are not unexpected. New Southwales Police Force will
- 4:46Speaker 2: continue to assess any reported information that alleges breaches of
- 4:50Speaker 2: the law and investigate appropriately.
- 4:55Speaker 3: And here was just one.
- 4:58Speaker 2: This is Sheik Ali Safdari, who spoke at the Al
- 5:01Speaker 2: Zara Mosque in Arncliffe on Sunday night.
- 5:07Speaker 6: You and I are not only under an existential threats
- 5:10Speaker 6: because we are Shia, but because we are the last
- 5:13Speaker 6: hope for humanity who is standing up against these people.
- 5:16Speaker 6: Who is standing up against this debaucherous, preterous, criminal, illegitimate,
- 5:22Speaker 6: perverted president of the United States of America, the.
- 5:26Speaker 3: Perverted criminal West.
- 5:28Speaker 2: Well, why is he living in Australia if he hates
- 5:31Speaker 2: the West so much? And he posted that clip on
- 5:34Speaker 2: social media and in the caption he said it was
- 5:37Speaker 2: not a time to sit idle and he told his
- 5:41Speaker 2: followers to find your purpose and responsibility. There are several
- 5:45Speaker 2: other examples as well, and let's hope that authorities actually
- 5:49Speaker 2: crack down on those who support a terror regime.
- 5:54Speaker 3: But this is now.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Erupting as a political issue as well. For the New
- 5:57Speaker 2: Southwales Premier Chris Mins, who said, Dad this about the
- 6:02Speaker 2: mosques and other places that were commemorating the slain dictator, I.
- 6:07Speaker 3: Think it's atrocious.
- 6:08Speaker 2: I mean, by any objective measure, the Ayatola was evil and.
- 6:13Speaker 3: I don't think that we should be mincing words about this.
- 6:16Speaker 2: So, despite the fact that Muslim majority nations are supporting
- 6:21Speaker 2: America and Israel's war against Iran, not one Australian Islamic
- 6:28Speaker 2: leader as far as I'm aware, has backed Chris Mins
- 6:32Speaker 2: and condemned the support for Kamena In fact, a Liberal
- 6:36Speaker 2: Party mayor of Liverpool, Ned Manoon, claimed that it was
- 6:40Speaker 2: Chris Mins and not these Shikhs that were hurting social cohesion.
- 6:46Speaker 2: Now this mayor is outrageously defending those worshiping a terror
- 6:50Speaker 2: leader and instead is attacking Chris Mins for daring to.
- 6:54Speaker 3: Call out this behavior.
- 6:58Speaker 2: Now, ned Manoon made them miss of going on Mark
- 7:02Speaker 2: Levy's two GB show this morning and while Mike.
- 7:05Speaker 3: Gave it to him.
- 7:06Speaker 7: You're effectively excusing people mourning the death of a terrorist.
- 7:10Speaker 7: That's what you're doing. No, I'm not excusing you. I
- 7:14Speaker 7: don't support any ned you are mate with respect. You
- 7:18Speaker 7: are because you are allowing these people into a building
- 7:22Speaker 7: that is run by your council, and you are saying
- 7:25Speaker 7: I do not have a problem as mayor because they
- 7:28Speaker 7: have a right to free speech. If they want to
- 7:29Speaker 7: go and mourn the death of the Aetola, do it
- 7:31Speaker 7: at the mosque. I want to live in a country
- 7:34Speaker 7: where I don't make excuses for terrorist scumbags and low
- 7:37Speaker 7: lifes who are responsible for the murder of innocent people.
- 7:40Speaker 7: And I want community leaders like you, ned Manoon to
- 7:43Speaker 7: take a stand like Angus Taylor has done. From your
- 7:46Speaker 7: side of politics, and say we will not support this
- 7:49Speaker 7: sort of rubbish in a free country like us.
- 7:54Speaker 3: Could have played you more of what Mark Leavy had
- 7:56Speaker 3: to say. He was spot on.
- 7:58Speaker 2: Now ned Manoon's is New South Wales Liberal MP Tina
- 8:03Speaker 2: a Yad, so this is now also a problem for
- 8:06Speaker 2: the New South Wales opposition leader Kelly Sloane, who was
- 8:10Speaker 2: with Tina in Liverpool yesterday and they both haven't spoken
- 8:14Speaker 2: about this issue yet, but if the Liberal Party can't
- 8:18Speaker 2: condemn Come and A then it's no wonder one nation
- 8:22Speaker 2: is seeing a rise because even Penny Wong managed to
- 8:26Speaker 2: eventually call this out.
- 8:29Speaker 1: We know Iran has been a risk, a destabilizing actor
- 8:36Speaker 1: globally and in the region. I think we've seen this
- 8:39Speaker 1: in the last days. I mean we had in one
- 8:41Speaker 1: day Iran struck nine countries.
- 8:46Speaker 2: And she went on to say, as I played you
- 8:48Speaker 2: last night, that those who are supporting or commemorating Come
- 8:53Speaker 2: and A's death were in the wrong. She said that
- 8:57Speaker 2: very strongly, and today the news that tax fair funding
- 9:01Speaker 2: will be frozen to those organizations. Now Chris Mins and
- 9:05Speaker 2: Mark Levy are one hundred percent right. It's disappointing the
- 9:09Speaker 2: premiers coming under attack from the Muslim community, as I said,
- 9:14Speaker 2: especially when the vast majority of the Arab Gulf nations
- 9:17Speaker 2: support America and Israel strikes against Iran. Iran is literally
- 9:23Speaker 2: bombing Muslim countries. Now, aside from that, if you can't
- 9:28Speaker 2: condemn an evil dictator who killed his own people in
- 9:32Speaker 2: the tens of thousands, a dictator who executes women and
- 9:36Speaker 2: gay people, then who can you condemn? Iran is also
- 9:42Speaker 2: responsible for terror attacks globally, including attacks in Australia.
- 9:47Speaker 3: Over the past year or so.
- 9:49Speaker 2: The IIGC orchestrated the fire bombing of a Melbourne synagogue
- 9:53Speaker 2: and a business in Bondai, and the business is still destroyed.
- 9:57Speaker 3: It's not open. People could easily have lost their lives.
- 10:02Speaker 2: It's lucky that those that the Adash Synagogue got out
- 10:05Speaker 2: in time. If ned Manoon can't see that it's wrong
- 10:10Speaker 2: to support this terror regime, and if he instead thinks
- 10:14Speaker 2: it's clever to attack the premiere, then he should resign
- 10:17Speaker 2: from his own job as mayor.
- 10:23Speaker 8: Well.
- 10:24Speaker 2: Let's turn out to the politics in America of Donald
- 10:27Speaker 2: Trump's decision to go to war. Miranda Divine's view is
- 10:31Speaker 2: that the Republicans, the vast majority of Republicans do broadly
- 10:36Speaker 2: support the president.
- 10:38Speaker 9: The Republican vote. There are polls coming out showing very
- 10:43Speaker 9: high support for Trump's actions in Iran and getting rid
- 10:47Speaker 9: of the Iotola.
- 10:50Speaker 2: And Miranda's on the show in a moment, But there
- 10:53Speaker 2: is backlash from the isolationist quarter of the MAGA movement
- 10:57Speaker 2: over the war, and this back she's being driven by
- 11:01Speaker 2: figures with diminishing credibility but growing online influence like Tucker
- 11:06Speaker 2: Carlson and Megan Kelly. Both are blaming Israel and even
- 11:13Speaker 2: high profile Jews for Trump's decision to strike Iran.
- 11:19Speaker 8: But the United States didn't make the decision here, Benjamin,
- 11:24Speaker 8: not NETNYA who did.
- 11:27Speaker 3: Of course, that's false.
- 11:28Speaker 2: Already played you Trump's comments about this, and Megan Kelly
- 11:32Speaker 2: is more specific. She is running the old anti Semitic
- 11:35Speaker 2: trope that Jews control everything, and she's blaming high profile
- 11:40Speaker 2: Jewish media commentators for controlling President Trump.
- 11:47Speaker 8: Our government's job is not to look out for Iran
- 11:49Speaker 8: or for Israel. It's still out for us. And this
- 11:52Speaker 8: feels very much to me like it is clearly Israel's war.
- 11:58Speaker 8: Mark Levin whined it it's his war. Ben Shapiro, Lindsey Graham,
- 12:02Speaker 8: Maria Maddelson. That's obvious. They're the ones who've been pushing
- 12:06Speaker 8: us into this.
- 12:09Speaker 2: Now, Megan Kelly is becoming more anti Semitic, blaming the
- 12:13Speaker 2: Jews for Trump's decision because all of those that she
- 12:17Speaker 2: listed are Jews, apart from Lindsay Grahant. It's disgraceful and
- 12:21Speaker 2: she knows it's not true because no one can control
- 12:25Speaker 2: Donald Trump, certainly not some commentators like Ben Shapiro or
- 12:29Speaker 2: Mark Levin.
- 12:31Speaker 3: So she is following the Tucker Carlson path.
- 12:35Speaker 2: Just in January this year, she also backed holocaust denier
- 12:38Speaker 2: Nick Fontes. She described him as smart and interesting and
- 12:44Speaker 2: said he made good points about America. Now, these are
- 12:48Speaker 2: not words that one should use to describe a grotesque racist.
- 12:55Speaker 8: Worthwhile exercise, because he's a very interesting guy.
- 12:57Speaker 3: Let's face it.
- 12:58Speaker 8: He's obviously got some very extreme views, but he's very interesting,
- 13:01Speaker 8: and he's very smart, and on a lot of things.
- 13:03Speaker 8: There is value to be derived from that guy's messaging.
- 13:05Speaker 8: I'm sorry, but he actually has a lot of things
- 13:08Speaker 8: he talks about that you're like, oh, this is not
- 13:10Speaker 8: a bad point about our country. I excuse his thoughts
- 13:13Speaker 8: on race and Jews and the Holocaust. Now that obviously.
- 13:18Speaker 2: She's speaking about one of the worst anti Semites in America,
- 13:23Speaker 2: who has repeatedly praised Hitler, said that Hitler was awesome
- 13:27Speaker 2: and right and that the Holocaust didn't happen. He's also
- 13:32Speaker 2: called for a holy war against Jews, not to mention
- 13:36Speaker 2: the misogynistic statements as well, and there she was defending
- 13:40Speaker 2: him as smart and interesting.
- 13:42Speaker 3: It's unacceptable.
- 13:44Speaker 2: And Megan Kelly also defends another prolific anti Semite, Candace Owns.
- 13:50Speaker 8: And then came Candice Owens and that she really drives
- 13:53Speaker 8: people crazy. She drives them crazy. They were very angry
- 13:57Speaker 8: that I didn't call her out for what she said
- 13:58Speaker 8: about Israel possibly being with Charlie Kirk. And I've got
- 14:01Speaker 8: to know her a lot better over the past six months,
- 14:03Speaker 8: and actually I know her better now than ever. And
- 14:05Speaker 8: I've learned a lot about what's being done to Candace
- 14:09Speaker 8: by some of the people we've been discussing, and it's
- 14:11Speaker 8: disgusting and I'm horrified by what she's been put through.
- 14:16Speaker 2: I mean, as a side point, what Candie Owen is
- 14:19Speaker 2: putting Erica Kirk through after she lost her husband is
- 14:23Speaker 2: another story. But Megan Kelly just there defended Candie Owans,
- 14:27Speaker 2: but also revealed she's personally getting to know a hardened
- 14:31Speaker 2: anti Semitic nutjob at the very time she's causing the
- 14:35Speaker 2: most damage to society and encouraging extreme racism against Jews
- 14:41Speaker 2: and Megan Kelly also ran with the conspiracy theory that
- 14:45Speaker 2: questions should be asked of Israel's role didn't have a
- 14:49Speaker 2: role of Israel's role in Charlie Kirk's murder.
- 14:54Speaker 8: I'm the sick of this bullshit. I am allowed to
- 14:56Speaker 8: have questions about what if anyone aligned with Israel or
- 15:00Speaker 8: from Israel might have had to do with Charlie's death.
- 15:03Speaker 8: I think it was Tyler Robinson. I think he acted
- 15:05Speaker 8: either alone or with trans Tifa. I have an open
- 15:10Speaker 8: heart to he was manipulated by somebody. I do so
- 15:13Speaker 8: I'm fine with those questions.
- 15:16Speaker 2: That is a sick conspiracy theory, and she knows it.
- 15:20Speaker 2: She's trying to blame Israel, blame Jews for Charlie Kirk
- 15:24Speaker 2: dying when Charlie Kirk himself was one of the strongest
- 15:27Speaker 2: supporters of Israel and Jews as a devout Christian himself.
- 15:32Speaker 2: Megan Kelly is twisting his death for her own cliques
- 15:37Speaker 2: to make money. It is despicable. There is a reason
- 15:43Speaker 2: that people like Tucker Carlson and Megan Kelly.
- 15:45Speaker 3: Are not on Fox News anymore.
- 15:48Speaker 2: And Kelly's obviously disappointed that she doesn't have a job
- 15:50Speaker 2: on Fox News, so.
- 15:51Speaker 3: She attacks it. She attacks our company.
- 15:55Speaker 2: These comments again from January when Trump took out the
- 15:58Speaker 2: dictators in Venezuela.
- 16:01Speaker 8: And I turned on Fox News yesterday and I'm sorry,
- 16:03Speaker 8: but it was like watching Russian propaganda. There was nothing skeptical.
- 16:08Speaker 8: It was all rah rah, cheerleading, Yes, let's go.
- 16:14Speaker 2: So the point is that we are seeing the far
- 16:16Speaker 2: right align with the position taken by the radical Islamist
- 16:21Speaker 2: extremists in their opposition to Trump's war on Iran. Now,
- 16:27Speaker 2: these people have lost their journalistic credibility, and at least
- 16:31Speaker 2: Tucker Carlson is now being shiinnned by the President and
- 16:34Speaker 2: the White House. Yet their influence and misinformation online remains dangerous.
- 16:46Speaker 3: Now. I spoke to New York Post.
- 16:48Speaker 2: Columnist Miranda Devine a bit earlier today, as the fallout
- 16:52Speaker 2: from Trump's Iran strike continues to ripple well beyond the
- 16:55Speaker 2: battlefield and into maga.
- 16:57Speaker 3: Circles, and a great to see you.
- 17:01Speaker 2: Now, you know Trump very well, from what sources have
- 17:05Speaker 2: told me, he really took his time to think about this.
- 17:07Speaker 2: He didn't rush into a decision on the war. He
- 17:10Speaker 2: consulted widely, not just with Israel, but with the Arab
- 17:14Speaker 2: nations as well. Can you tell us what you know
- 17:17Speaker 2: about some of this process that the president went through.
- 17:21Speaker 9: Yes, you're absolutely right, and I mean this is you know,
- 17:25Speaker 9: as John Howard has always said, you can't fatten a
- 17:28Speaker 9: pig on market day. Donald Trump, since his first term
- 17:32Speaker 9: has really put a lot of effort into having cordial
- 17:35Speaker 9: relations with the other Arab nations, and of course you
- 17:40Speaker 9: saw the outcome of that with the Abraham Accords in
- 17:44Speaker 9: his first term, and he's continued to do that quite
- 17:48Speaker 9: unlike his predecessor Joe Biden, who alienated Saudi Arabia almost
- 17:54Speaker 9: on day one. And so he's worked hard at that.
- 17:58Speaker 9: And I think you're seeing the roots of those efforts
- 18:02Speaker 9: with the fact that now those Arab nations, the Gulf
- 18:06Speaker 9: nations are very much supporting Donald Trump, America and Israel
- 18:15Speaker 9: in this attack on Iran. And what we're told behind
- 18:21Speaker 9: the scenes is that while they don't want to say
- 18:24Speaker 9: it publicly, that they are expressing gratitude to the administration
- 18:30Speaker 9: for wiping out the Ayatola, who, in a regime that
- 18:34Speaker 9: was menacing the entire region, was the big bully of
- 18:38Speaker 9: the region. So I think that has paid off. And
- 18:41Speaker 9: it's interesting that Donald Trump feels that he's getting more
- 18:46Speaker 9: support from those nations in the Middle East than from
- 18:50Speaker 9: some of his traditional allies, America's traditional allies in Europe.
- 18:55Speaker 9: And he singled out particularly today in the Oval Office
- 18:59Speaker 9: when he was meeting with the German Chancellor, he singled
- 19:02Speaker 9: out Spain and also had another slap at Kirs Starmer
- 19:08Speaker 9: in the UK said they've been very disappointing, and he
- 19:12Speaker 9: went so far as to instruct the Treasury Secretary Scott Bessett,
- 19:16Speaker 9: who is standing there in the Oval Office, to cut
- 19:19Speaker 9: off Spain. We don't want to do any more trade
- 19:22Speaker 9: with Spain, he said, and then he said he's very
- 19:26Speaker 9: disappointed with the UK for, similarly to Spain, refusing to
- 19:31Speaker 9: allow the US to use their bases to conduct these
- 19:36Speaker 9: attacks on Iran. And he said that Starmer was no
- 19:40Speaker 9: Winston Churchill.
- 19:42Speaker 2: And it's a really interesting point because while you wouldn't
- 19:45Speaker 2: expect America or Israel to share every detailed piece of
- 19:48Speaker 2: their military plans.
- 19:50Speaker 3: Miranda.
- 19:51Speaker 2: You can't imagine under previous administrations like Bush and Howard
- 19:55Speaker 2: that the Five Eyes Partnership would have meant something that
- 19:58Speaker 2: Australia's leadership, that the Bridgeish Prime minister would have known
- 20:01Speaker 2: there was going to be military action.
- 20:03Speaker 3: But they were kept completely out of the loop.
- 20:05Speaker 2: The first the leadership in Australia or the UK or
- 20:09Speaker 2: Canada in you was when it was reported in public.
- 20:13Speaker 2: That does say a lot, doesn't it, about how the
- 20:15Speaker 2: Trump administration and even the wider American apparatus doesn't trust
- 20:20Speaker 2: these current left leaning prime ministers like Anthony Alberizi and Starma.
- 20:27Speaker 9: Yes, look, it does say a lot about the loss
- 20:29Speaker 9: of trust in the Five Eyes Partnership, which has been
- 20:33Speaker 9: so important to Australia. Although I must say that I
- 20:37Speaker 9: think Trump was perfectly happy with Anthony Alberanesi's statement. He
- 20:42Speaker 9: was pretty sound in his response supporting the attacks on Iran,
- 20:49Speaker 9: so that makes a nice change. And I do agree, though,
- 20:53Speaker 9: I mean it's really quite disappointing. And you've seen now
- 20:57Speaker 9: JD Vance a year ago and Marco Rubio more recently,
- 21:00Speaker 9: the Secretary of State going to Europe and saying to
- 21:05Speaker 9: the Munich Security Conference and basically saying advance in a
- 21:11Speaker 9: very aggressive way and micro ribio in a more diplomatic way,
- 21:15Speaker 9: that you know, Europe, you're our oldest and deepest allies,
- 21:19Speaker 9: but you've lost your way when it comes to especially
- 21:23Speaker 9: a mass immigration, losing your identity, you know, things like
- 21:28Speaker 9: just refusing to pay your own way for your own defense.
- 21:34Speaker 9: This is something that Donald Trump has also been sounding
- 21:37Speaker 9: the alarm on, and it's you know, I'm not sure
- 21:40Speaker 9: if Europe understands that this is a complete sea change
- 21:44Speaker 9: in sentiment, not something that's going to go away when
- 21:49Speaker 9: Trump's gone. This is a sea change in America. The
- 21:52Speaker 9: American people, certainly the Republican Party and the Democrats will
- 21:57Speaker 9: follow suits, if you know, once they get back to office.
- 22:00Speaker 9: Because the feeling is that the rest of the world
- 22:05Speaker 9: has been free loading off the United States and that
- 22:10Speaker 9: since the end of the Cold War at the very least,
- 22:13Speaker 9: that everyone needs to pull their own weight, and while
- 22:15Speaker 9: America does punch above its weight in terms of defense
- 22:19Speaker 9: of its allies, you can't allow And this is the
- 22:23Speaker 9: way the administration feels these countries in Europe, which spend
- 22:28Speaker 9: vast sums of money on having a welfare state providing
- 22:32Speaker 9: welfare for their citizens that American citizens don't get, while
- 22:35Speaker 9: American taxpayers their money is going to defend these countries.
- 22:40Speaker 9: So no more mister nice guy from that point of view.
- 22:45Speaker 2: Just finally, Miranda, can you explain to us the sentiment
- 22:48Speaker 2: about this war within the MAGA movement and then the
- 22:52Speaker 2: Republican Party more broadly, and also what influence figures like
- 22:56Speaker 2: Tucker Carlson are having with his quite extreme antie.
- 23:02Speaker 9: Look the Republican vote. There are polls coming out showing
- 23:07Speaker 9: very high support for Trump's actions in Iran, and getting
- 23:12Speaker 9: rid of the iotoler is something. You know, I've seen
- 23:16Speaker 9: poles between sort of seventy five and eighty five percent approval.
- 23:22Speaker 9: Of course, that's contingent on it being a short, sharp
- 23:26Speaker 9: shock and not lasting any longer than you know it
- 23:30Speaker 9: needs to be, and certainly no ground troops. So I
- 23:35Speaker 9: think at the moment, people are very happy with what
- 23:38Speaker 9: Trump's done, and.
- 23:39Speaker 3: It's gone well.
- 23:40Speaker 9: The war, the actions have gone well so far, but
- 23:46Speaker 9: it just can't drag on. And I think no one's
- 23:48Speaker 9: more acutely aware of that than Donald Trump, And you know,
- 23:53Speaker 9: Tucker Carlson, who I mean, I was very friendly with
- 23:57Speaker 9: and had a lot of respect for, but he's really
- 24:01Speaker 9: I think worn out his welcome with the White House.
- 24:04Speaker 9: Donald Trump invited him there recently in as much as
- 24:10Speaker 9: just to hear him out, but also let him know
- 24:14Speaker 9: that his influence was going to make no difference, and
- 24:18Speaker 9: he's now written him off. I hear, there's just no
- 24:22Speaker 9: way that he has sway in the White House anymore.
- 24:25Speaker 9: And obviously JD. Vance is not listening to him either,
- 24:28Speaker 9: because he's right behind Donald Trump's actions in Iran. And
- 24:33Speaker 9: in fact, The New York Times reported the other day
- 24:37Speaker 9: that Vance's advice to Trump was to get in it,
- 24:43Speaker 9: do it big, and get out quickly. So I think
- 24:47Speaker 9: that's probably I mean, Trump is not interested in democracy building,
- 24:52Speaker 9: allah Bush. He's not interested in regime change where Americans
- 24:58Speaker 9: impose a new leader, he said from the beginning, that
- 25:01Speaker 9: will be up to the Iranian people. And what the
- 25:04Speaker 9: Americans are doing is degrading all Iran's defenses in the
- 25:09Speaker 9: most spectacular way. I mean, yesterday they got hold of
- 25:13Speaker 9: all their dominance in the in the air.
- 25:17Speaker 2: Miranda Devine, really grateful for your time and great to
- 25:20Speaker 2: see you again.
- 25:20Speaker 3: As always.
- 25:22Speaker 9: Thanks Sherrian, good on you.
- 25:25Speaker 10: Now.
- 25:25Speaker 2: As I mentioned earlier, Iran has reportedly moved fast after
- 25:29Speaker 2: Aotole Iotola Kamene's death, with his son now chosen as
- 25:34Speaker 2: supreme leader by the Assembly of experts and joining me
- 25:37Speaker 2: now live from Israel is Israeli Minister of Diaspro Affairs,
- 25:41Speaker 2: Amachai Chickley, thank you very much for joining us, and
- 25:45Speaker 2: welcome to the program.
- 25:47Speaker 3: Minister.
- 25:47Speaker 2: What is your message for Iotola Kameny's son, moch taba comedy.
- 25:55Speaker 11: So Iran there, that's my message and let that be
- 26:00Speaker 11: in Iran to decide about their future.
- 26:06Speaker 2: Will he be next on Israel's target list? Is here
- 26:10Speaker 2: a hardline later that you don't want to see running Iran?
- 26:15Speaker 11: Look, we have clear missions in this operation. The one
- 26:21Speaker 11: mission is to remove existential threats the ballistic missiles. Iran
- 26:27Speaker 11: attempts to continue their nuclear program. Iran was planning to
- 26:33Speaker 11: take the nuclear program deeper into the ground, and there
- 26:37Speaker 11: was a threat that we will be impossible to stop
- 26:41Speaker 11: Iran further in the future. So removing both the ballistic
- 26:46Speaker 11: missiles infrastructure and the nuclear program planning facilities in Iran
- 26:54Speaker 11: that we're now we're getting started to renovate. That was
- 26:59Speaker 11: the first mission, and the second mission is to create
- 27:03Speaker 11: the conditions for the Iranian people who have lost tens
- 27:06Speaker 11: of thousands of innocent people, mainly young people, young men
- 27:12Speaker 11: and women, who went to the street to protest and
- 27:15Speaker 11: grant this brutal table regime that needs to be removed
- 27:20Speaker 11: from the face of verse. Now we need to understand
- 27:24Speaker 11: Israel or no is Il know the US can replace
- 27:30Speaker 11: the government in Iran. This is for the Iranian people
- 27:34Speaker 11: and there will be no other opportunity. So after the
- 27:38Speaker 11: military offensive is done, it is up to the Iranian
- 27:42Speaker 11: people to take responsibility for the future. We promised help,
- 27:46Speaker 11: Prime Minister Natanio promised, President Trump promised help. Come and
- 27:53Speaker 11: now it's the time for the Iranian people take back
- 27:57Speaker 11: the freedom to take back their state from these lunatics.
- 28:02Speaker 2: Minister, I can see you're standing in front of what
- 28:05Speaker 2: looks like a site in Jerusalem that has been targeted
- 28:10Speaker 2: by Iran.
- 28:10Speaker 3: Can you tell us what's behind you?
- 28:14Speaker 11: Yeah, So, originally I was supposed to be in Jerusalem
- 28:18Speaker 11: and take the interview from my office, but since I
- 28:21Speaker 11: came to visit the families who've lost their bill ones,
- 28:24Speaker 11: we're speaking about nine casualties. We're speaking about three brothers
- 28:28Speaker 11: who were murdered here right next to me here in
- 28:31Speaker 11: the shelter. We are speaking about a father who was
- 28:34Speaker 11: waiting for his neighbors to go into the shelter, but
- 28:38Speaker 11: he didn't make it himself. His name was Ogen, and
- 28:41Speaker 11: so we just visited his wife, the kids. It's devastating.
- 28:46Speaker 11: A young a young boy named Gabrielle, sixteen years old
- 28:50Speaker 11: boy who also was modeled here. So because we were
- 28:54Speaker 11: with the families, we didn't make it to take the
- 28:57Speaker 11: interview from the office. So I said, okay, we'll do
- 29:00Speaker 11: it from here. We're not in Jerusalem. We are in
- 29:02Speaker 11: the Cheesh, which is about thirty minutes from Jerusalem, right.
- 29:07Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 29:07Speaker 2: Devastating that there are civilians who are being targeted by
- 29:11Speaker 2: Iran like this. British Prime Minister Kios Starmer has refused
- 29:15Speaker 2: to allow Israeli or American forces to use British bases.
- 29:20Speaker 2: Trump today said that Kiirs Starmer is no Winston Churchill.
- 29:24Speaker 3: What's your response, what's your response.
- 29:27Speaker 2: To the fact it is a serious issue though that
- 29:30Speaker 2: Britain won't allow you to use its basis.
- 29:33Speaker 3: What's your view on this?
- 29:36Speaker 11: King Starmer is one of the weakest prime minister all
- 29:40Speaker 11: across the Western Hemisphere, all across Europe. I had zero
- 29:45Speaker 11: expectations for Kingstarmer. He's brought Britain into the worst condition possible,
- 29:52Speaker 11: is very, very weak. So when you have zero expectations,
- 29:57Speaker 11: so I'm not surprised for his decision. Is totally you know,
- 30:03Speaker 11: committed to the Muslim voters who took over many cities,
- 30:09Speaker 11: London first and foremost, Birmingham, other cities. Look without a
- 30:14Speaker 11: dramatic change in Britain in the leadership, there's no future
- 30:19Speaker 11: for this island. Unfortunately. The history of Britain, and you
- 30:23Speaker 11: know you are part of the ecosystem is Britain. It's
- 30:27Speaker 11: such a noble history, such a brave history. Churchill was
- 30:34Speaker 11: one of the greatest leaders in history who stood alone
- 30:38Speaker 11: against Nazi Germany. And when you compelled Chelchill to what
- 30:42Speaker 11: you have now in Britain. This is I'm sorry for
- 30:44Speaker 11: the British people. We don't need kills Tanner. I'm sorry
- 30:47Speaker 11: for the British people and I pray for the British
- 30:49Speaker 11: people that they will have a different leadership, that we
- 30:52Speaker 11: have courage to counter the radical Islamist within Britain and
- 30:58Speaker 11: also to fight evil regime outside of Britain, such as
- 31:04Speaker 11: the lunatics Kirol dictatorship of the Iranian Revolutionary regards.
- 31:10Speaker 2: Why are you saying those prayers? Say them for us
- 31:11Speaker 2: here in Australia as well, A right, Minister Amachai Chickley,
- 31:18Speaker 2: thank you for your time, Thank you, thank you. And
- 31:22Speaker 2: just now, I've just got word that the form Israeli
- 31:24Speaker 2: Prime Minister Naftarie Bennett is going to be coming on
- 31:27Speaker 2: the show a bit later, so stick around for that.
- 31:29Speaker 2: Also still to come, Jim Chalmers is already blaming the
- 31:32Speaker 2: Iran war for what could be a brutal May budget.
- 31:36Speaker 2: Prison guard suddenly being trained for Category five female extremists.
- 31:40Speaker 2: Plus we'll get the latest on the Carl and Jackie Osaga.
- 31:43Speaker 3: That's with Michael Kroger and Broman Bishop next welcome back.
- 31:51Speaker 2: Treasurer Jim Chalmers is already laying the groundwork for the
- 31:54Speaker 2: May budget, warning that the strikes in Iran could affect
- 31:57Speaker 2: the economy in Australia.
- 32:00Speaker 1: The economic consequences are uncertain, but they are likely to
- 32:04Speaker 1: be very substantial.
- 32:07Speaker 2: Joining me now, and just to remind, I've got farm
- 32:09Speaker 2: Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett coming up, but joining me
- 32:12Speaker 2: now is former Victorian Liberal Party president Michael Kroger and
- 32:15Speaker 2: former Speaker of the House Broman Bishop.
- 32:18Speaker 3: Great to see you both now, Michael.
- 32:21Speaker 2: The Wall Street Journal editorial today explains why there's a
- 32:25Speaker 2: phony run inflation scare campaign. Judah Sloan makes similar points
- 32:30Speaker 2: today in The Australian. What's your view on whether the
- 32:34Speaker 2: Albanese government will use the war as an excuse?
- 32:38Speaker 12: Well, of course they will, and they use the Ukraine
- 32:40Speaker 12: War as an excuse as well. So here's the problem. Yes,
- 32:46Speaker 12: there are short term inflationary effects. But the problem we've
- 32:49Speaker 12: got federally is we've said for several years now, as
- 32:52Speaker 12: Jim Chalmers cannot control his own spending, spending as a
- 32:55Speaker 12: percentage of GDP is up at record high as twenty
- 32:58Speaker 12: seven percent plus, you've got one hundred forty billion dollars
- 33:00Speaker 12: worth of budget deficits over the next four years. Over
- 33:04Speaker 12: the forward estimates, you've got inflation fueled by massive government spending.
- 33:08Speaker 12: Despite what Jim Chalmers thinks, it's economic one one. If
- 33:12Speaker 12: you massively increase government expenditure beyond the capacity of the
- 33:18Speaker 12: economy to absorb that expenditure, it's inflationary. So the problem
- 33:22Speaker 12: is not what's happening in the Middle East. The problem
- 33:25Speaker 12: is that Jim just doesn't have the strength of a
- 33:28Speaker 12: Costello acating a Peter Walsh when he was Finance Minister,
- 33:31Speaker 12: Nick mentionin. He just doesn't have the strength to resist
- 33:35Speaker 12: the demands on him, and that's why the budget's in
- 33:39Speaker 12: the terrible message in today. With debt now approaching at
- 33:42Speaker 12: a gross level of a trillion dollars.
- 33:45Speaker 2: Brom And Judith Sloan says that Australians will be asked
- 33:48Speaker 2: to forget about the economic difficulties that had been apparent,
- 33:51Speaker 2: inflation well above target band, a budget in deficit for
- 33:55Speaker 2: years to come, and stagnate living standards.
- 33:58Speaker 10: I don't think they're going to forget. But Jim Charmers,
- 34:01Speaker 10: the snake charmer, He'll think all this Christmases came at once,
- 34:06Speaker 10: because now he's got an excuse to say, oh, look
- 34:09Speaker 10: it wasn't me, it wasn't me, it wasn't me, when
- 34:11Speaker 10: it's him all the time. If I hear that expression
- 34:14Speaker 10: that he uses that he's saved one hundred and fourteen
- 34:18Speaker 10: billion dollars, they didn't save it, they spent it, took
- 34:21Speaker 10: it from one allocation, spent it somewhere else, and then
- 34:24Speaker 10: added a few more billions as well, just for good measure.
- 34:27Speaker 10: Everything that this treasure has done, he has been to
- 34:32Speaker 10: feed inflation, not reduce it. He can't cut his expenditure.
- 34:37Speaker 10: And you can only afford to have welfare and the
- 34:41Speaker 10: care economy at the rate we're spending if you've got productivity,
- 34:46Speaker 10: and it's productivity that we have to worry about. At
- 34:49Speaker 10: one percent, we are going backwards, and that means borrowings
- 34:54Speaker 10: are increasing, whether it's on budget or off budget. We
- 34:58Speaker 10: are looking at debt out of our ears for the
- 35:01Speaker 10: next decade and it's because of this government. So what
- 35:06Speaker 10: Judas Slims had to say, what Wall Street General journalists
- 35:10Speaker 10: had to say, is spot on, and what Michael says
- 35:12Speaker 10: spot on as well.
- 35:15Speaker 2: Now I want to ask you about this isis cohort
- 35:18Speaker 2: for a moment Because we read today that new South
- 35:21Speaker 2: Wales prison guards are going to be trained in category
- 35:24Speaker 2: five female inmates. A source told Sarah Eisen at The
- 35:29Speaker 2: Australian that there's online training now available about how to
- 35:33Speaker 2: deal with extremist females in custody. It's happened very much
- 35:36Speaker 2: all of us sudden. Now the news of those government
- 35:39Speaker 2: denies that it's connected to the ISIS brides. Michael, what
- 35:43Speaker 2: do you think here this new training, could this be
- 35:48Speaker 2: linked to their Well, we know they are still at
- 35:52Speaker 2: this point arriving.
- 35:54Speaker 12: Must just be a happy coincidence. Surely nothing to do
- 35:58Speaker 12: with each other. Look, you know people who are work
- 36:02Speaker 12: in prisons. I mean, do they sign up for this
- 36:05Speaker 12: now They've got to be in charge of ISIS brides
- 36:07Speaker 12: and all the fanatical extremism they're going to bring to
- 36:11Speaker 12: this country. So this is what they are. I mean,
- 36:15Speaker 12: Taylor Angus Taylor is one hundred percent right on this.
- 36:18Speaker 12: I mean, this is terrible. I mean you've got Arab
- 36:21Speaker 12: nations who are trying to help get rid of the
- 36:24Speaker 12: Iranian regime, and you've got the Australian government bringing ISIS
- 36:27Speaker 12: supporters to this country. How confused and sick is the
- 36:31Speaker 12: Western world when this is happening. I mean, can't they
- 36:34Speaker 12: take their lead from the Arab nations in the Gulf
- 36:38Speaker 12: States and Egypt and in other countries. The Arab nations
- 36:44Speaker 12: Jordan's are Arab nations who who oppose the Iranian regime,
- 36:48Speaker 12: who opposed Islamic extremism is and Muslim terrorism. Yet we're
- 36:53Speaker 12: bringing these people to Australia. I mean, the government can
- 36:55Speaker 12: stop them. We all know that now, and through incredible weakness,
- 37:00Speaker 12: they're not doing it. And it's it's a shame on
- 37:04Speaker 12: Alberzi for not having the courage that you know, every
- 37:09Speaker 12: every prime minister before him in this country would have
- 37:11Speaker 12: stopped these people happening, including Rudd, Gillard and certainly Bob Hawk.
- 37:17Speaker 3: Exactly and Brumwin. You know.
- 37:19Speaker 2: Just on a kind of related note, Chris Mins has
- 37:21Speaker 2: stood up to some of those in the community who
- 37:25Speaker 2: are mourning the late Comin a a dictator, a tyrant,
- 37:29Speaker 2: a murderer, and now.
- 37:31Speaker 3: He's getting backlash.
- 37:33Speaker 10: Well I'm not surprised at the backlash that he's getting
- 37:37Speaker 10: from that quarter. But the fact of the matter is
- 37:39Speaker 10: the rest of Australia is saying well done, and that's
- 37:42Speaker 10: far more important. And also what we've seen from mister
- 37:46Speaker 10: Mins is that he has literally said that the federal
- 37:49Speaker 10: government has been talking to him about bringing them back
- 37:52Speaker 10: for months. He's been he has been honest, whereas both
- 37:57Speaker 10: Alberizi and Burke have been totally dis honest and disingenuous
- 38:01Speaker 10: about it. You know, the proce of keeping mister Burke
- 38:04Speaker 10: in Parliament is getting bigger and bigger by the minute.
- 38:07Speaker 10: Is he worth the pros? I don't think so indeed.
- 38:11Speaker 2: Now this is an unusual topic for the three of
- 38:14Speaker 2: us to chat about, but it's very big news this week,
- 38:17Speaker 2: the Kyle and JACKIEO Show that it's fallen apart. You know,
- 38:22Speaker 2: aarn put out that statement last night just before we
- 38:24Speaker 2: went to air.
- 38:25Speaker 10: Now.
- 38:25Speaker 2: They were each on one hundred million dollar ten year
- 38:28Speaker 2: contract each. So Michael, it must have been pretty bad
- 38:31Speaker 2: for Jackio to walk away from this kind of money.
- 38:36Speaker 12: Well, Bronnie Bishop and I'll do it for half if
- 38:40Speaker 12: they're looking for If they're looking for replacements, I've been
- 38:43Speaker 12: in a few bus stops myself over the years, as
- 38:45Speaker 12: Bronin has, they're never pretty. But coming from Victoria, I've
- 38:50Speaker 12: got to be extremely honest with you, Charia, I've never
- 38:52Speaker 12: heard the Kyle and Jackie Show. In all the news
- 38:55Speaker 12: they've been going, I've never heard them. You've never listened,
- 38:59Speaker 12: I've never heard them. I've never heard them once. So
- 39:04Speaker 12: I hand over to my two new sith Wales colleagues,
- 39:06Speaker 12: you and Bromham, who know a lot better than me.
- 39:08Speaker 12: But look, they didn't do well in Victoria. They were
- 39:10Speaker 12: never going to They were never going to do well
- 39:12Speaker 12: in Victoria. And I don't know why whoever it was
- 39:14Speaker 12: running that station thought they'd do well. Here, you blind friend,
- 39:17Speaker 12: he could have told you they'd bomb in Victoria and
- 39:19Speaker 12: that's exactly what happened.
- 39:21Speaker 3: Yeah, just quickly, Bromin.
- 39:23Speaker 2: I mean, we've heard it, we've listened to them, but
- 39:25Speaker 2: we're not quite the target audience.
- 39:27Speaker 10: I haven't listened to them. You haven't either, No, I haven't,
- 39:30Speaker 10: but I have to see a twenty seven year old partnership.
- 39:34Speaker 10: And Jackie was the highest paid female woman in media,
- 39:40Speaker 10: so there's her reputation. But I think at the end
- 39:45Speaker 10: of the day you have to say, well, they must
- 39:47Speaker 10: have been doing something to keep the shareholders happy for
- 39:51Speaker 10: that long. But if it wasn't that on air spat
- 39:55Speaker 10: that caused the end, there's been something else going on
- 39:58Speaker 10: in the background.
- 39:59Speaker 2: Yeah, it's been bubbling along for a while, all right, Broman,
- 40:01Speaker 2: Bishop Michael Craig, you're great to see. Now after the break,
- 40:06Speaker 2: the former Prime Minister of Israel naf Tarlie Bennett will
- 40:09Speaker 2: join me live from Israel.
- 40:11Speaker 3: We'll ask him the tough questions about this war.
- 40:14Speaker 2: What does he think of the Canadian Prime minister who's
- 40:16Speaker 2: in Australia right now and said that this war is
- 40:20Speaker 2: in breach of international law.
- 40:22Speaker 3: That's after the break.
- 40:27Speaker 2: Welcome back and joining me now live from Israel is
- 40:30Speaker 2: former Israeli Prime Minister Naftalie Bennett.
- 40:33Speaker 3: Welcome to the show. Good to have you on, Good
- 40:37Speaker 3: to be here now.
- 40:38Speaker 2: The Canadian Prime Minister is visiting Australia at the moment,
- 40:42Speaker 2: Mark Karney.
- 40:42Speaker 3: He's spoken in Sydney.
- 40:45Speaker 2: He has said of the Israeli American strikes in Iran
- 40:49Speaker 2: that they would appear not to be consistent or to
- 40:53Speaker 2: be inconsistent with international law.
- 40:56Speaker 3: NAFH.
- 40:56Speaker 2: Tarlie Bennett, what's your response to this criticism that Israel
- 41:00Speaker 2: and America's war on Iran is in breach of international law?
- 41:06Speaker 5: That's just stupid because Article fifty one of the UN
- 41:10Speaker 5: Charter explicitly says that our nation has a right of
- 41:13Speaker 5: self defense.
- 41:17Speaker 2: So does that mean that any requirements under international law
- 41:21Speaker 2: are not needed? Because this was in self defense and
- 41:24Speaker 2: was there were there any plans for an imminent attack
- 41:27Speaker 2: from Iran?
- 41:30Speaker 5: There was an inevitable attack from Iran, Because here's the
- 41:34Speaker 5: deal we tried negotiations. America was trying to negotiate with Iran.
- 41:39Speaker 5: The Iranian negotiators came and said, we're going to keep
- 41:43Speaker 5: our nuclear program whatever you say. So are we supposed
- 41:47Speaker 5: to wait for Iran to fully develop their nuclear weapons,
- 41:52Speaker 5: their missiles and be ready to shoot and at that
- 41:56Speaker 5: moment are we supposed to attack them? Or an hour
- 41:59Speaker 5: before four or a week before. What we're doing is
- 42:03Speaker 5: self defense. This is called self defense. Preventing from a genocidal,
- 42:08Speaker 5: crazy Islamist regime. Acquiring a nuclear weapon is flat self defense.
- 42:14Speaker 5: And that's exactly what we're doing.
- 42:16Speaker 2: What changed from the Twelve Day War last year when
- 42:20Speaker 2: Iran's nuclear capabilities were said to have been destroyed. Had
- 42:25Speaker 2: they started rebuilding that nuclear capability?
- 42:30Speaker 5: Yes, they began not only rebuilding it, but actually transferring
- 42:34Speaker 5: it under a mountain called Pickaxe Mountain. That would turn
- 42:40Speaker 5: the whole program into an invulnerable program. So what it
- 42:44Speaker 5: means if they completed the movement underground and deeper than
- 42:48Speaker 5: for no bomb in the world, not even an American
- 42:51Speaker 5: bomb could reach it, and then they'd be immune. So
- 42:55Speaker 5: we could talk and debate as much as we want
- 42:57Speaker 5: but we wouldn't be able to act, so we were
- 42:59Speaker 5: acting at the last moment. We could still act, and
- 43:04Speaker 5: that's self defense as literal as it can be.
- 43:10Speaker 2: Others have described this as a war of choice, that
- 43:13Speaker 2: it wasn't essential because although you just said that you
- 43:17Speaker 2: did need to act, that there was an imminent threat.
- 43:19Speaker 2: You know, the Democrats, for example, in the United States,
- 43:22Speaker 2: are saying that there was no imminent threat.
- 43:24Speaker 3: This is a war of choice. It didn't have to happen.
- 43:27Speaker 2: Do you want to respond to some of those criticisms
- 43:30Speaker 2: coming out of actually both the Democrats and the far
- 43:34Speaker 2: right Republican movement.
- 43:37Speaker 5: Yeah, it's a war of choice to choose either to
- 43:39Speaker 5: wait for Iran to acquire a nuclear weapon and thousands
- 43:43Speaker 5: of ballistic missiles and then terrorize the whole region, or
- 43:47Speaker 5: to act, and we chose to act.
- 43:51Speaker 2: We've seen today that reports out of Iran are that
- 43:56Speaker 2: the late Ayatola Ali Kamani's son has been elected as
- 44:02Speaker 2: the new Supreme leader. What confidence is there that any
- 44:07Speaker 2: new leadership in Iran will be less extreme than the
- 44:11Speaker 2: hardline Ayatola comedy.
- 44:17Speaker 5: We have no confidence specifically on who the next leader
- 44:21Speaker 5: will be. That's ultimately up to the Iranians, I can
- 44:24Speaker 5: say that. You know, in Iran women are hunted down
- 44:30Speaker 5: because they don't wear a job and beat up. In Israel,
- 44:34Speaker 5: we send our women an F thirty five to fly
- 44:37Speaker 5: over Iran. That's the fundamental difference between a democracy and
- 44:41Speaker 5: a terrorist state. Our goal here is self defense. Our
- 44:45Speaker 5: goal is not democracy building or anything of that sort.
- 44:48Speaker 5: If the Iranian people rise up and change the regime
- 44:53Speaker 5: into free or more democratic country, that would be wonderful,
- 44:57Speaker 5: but that's not our decision. That's theirs to decide.
- 45:02Speaker 2: Just on our personal point. You are a rival to
- 45:06Speaker 2: Benjamin ettn Yahoo. You're considered by many a future prime minister.
- 45:11Speaker 2: Once again, is there anything you would be doing differently
- 45:14Speaker 2: in this war?
- 45:16Speaker 5: It's true, I'm in Nataniel's main rival, and I hope
- 45:20Speaker 5: to become Israel's next prime minister. On this there's no
- 45:24Speaker 5: daylight between us. This is a war of self defense.
- 45:28Speaker 5: All Israelis stand behind this mission, this vital mission, and
- 45:34Speaker 5: we're doing the hard work for all the world to
- 45:37Speaker 5: protect the world from crazy radical regimes acquire nuclear weapons.
- 45:42Speaker 5: So no daylight between us.
- 45:45Speaker 2: What do you say to shakes and mosques and other
- 45:49Speaker 2: organizations here in Australia that are mourning the death of
- 45:53Speaker 2: the slain Ayatola.
- 45:57Speaker 5: Are you truly respecting and giving honor to someone who
- 46:03Speaker 5: murdered tens of thousands of its own people just a
- 46:07Speaker 5: few weeks ago, To someone who has blood of Westerners
- 46:11Speaker 5: all across the world that he's killed in many many
- 46:15Speaker 5: places through the octopus of terror, the Iranian octopus of terror,
- 46:20Speaker 5: to someone who turned a beautiful country of Iran into
- 46:24Speaker 5: a radical Islamist country. I think democracies need to stand
- 46:31Speaker 5: together against these kind of genocidal regimes.
- 46:35Speaker 2: And that is one thing we have seen with Iran
- 46:37Speaker 2: that I suppose not everyone realizes, is that their tentacles,
- 46:41Speaker 2: their reign of terror has reached as far as Australia,
- 46:44Speaker 2: where we've had two attacks in the past year that
- 46:48Speaker 2: were orchestrated by the IIGC and then conducted by other
- 46:52Speaker 2: criminals that they hired.
- 46:56Speaker 5: That's correct. The Iranian octopus send its arms all across
- 47:00Speaker 5: the world, including to Australia, to America, to Western Europe,
- 47:05Speaker 5: to Israel and to the whole Middle East. What we're
- 47:08Speaker 5: doing now is attacking the head of the octopus, as
- 47:12Speaker 5: opposed to trying to fight each of those sentacles. This
- 47:15Speaker 5: is the right approach, This is the smart approach going
- 47:18Speaker 5: to the epicenter of evil and terror.
- 47:23Speaker 2: Do you expect the war will only take four or
- 47:25Speaker 2: five weeks, as the President of the United States has said,
- 47:28Speaker 2: or do you think it needs to continue for as
- 47:31Speaker 2: long as it takes to achieve the war objectives.
- 47:37Speaker 5: We need to continue as long as it takes to
- 47:39Speaker 5: dismantle Iran's nuclear program, ballistic program, and terror apparatus. If
- 47:43Speaker 5: it takes a bit more, so be it. What we're
- 47:46Speaker 5: doing now is not easy. It's painful. Israelis have died,
- 47:50Speaker 5: I've been killed by Iranian missiles, so it's painful for everyone.
- 47:55Speaker 5: But the pain now will save us from a much,
- 47:59Speaker 5: much worst disaster of a nuclear nightmare over the entire world,
- 48:05Speaker 5: in the Iranian terror nuclear nightmare. So we act now
- 48:09Speaker 5: to prevent this later. You know, the West has been
- 48:12Speaker 5: debating Iran for thirty years. Israel has acted in one
- 48:17Speaker 5: night and done the job.
- 48:21Speaker 2: Yeah, indeed for future generations. All right, Prime Minister Naftarlie
- 48:25Speaker 2: Bennett really appreciate your time.
- 48:27Speaker 3: Thank you so much.
- 48:30Speaker 2: Okay, quick break, so we've got time for tonight. I'll
- 48:38Speaker 2: see you tomorrow. It'll be another big show and here's
- 48:41Speaker 2: for Marie
