- 0:00Speaker 1: If you're starting a business, there's a six-step checklist that
- 0:02Speaker 1: you must follow in order to find business success. By
- 0:05Speaker 1: the end of this video, you'll have everything you need
- 0:07Speaker 1: to validate your idea and maximize your chances of success.
- 0:10Speaker 2: So let's get into them. Personality. Basically, you need to
- 0:14Speaker 2: understand yourself.
- 0:15Speaker 1: You're going to be more energized if you're around people
- 0:17Speaker 1: that are like you and match your personality to what
- 0:20Speaker 1: you do.
- 0:21Speaker 2: Some examples for an introvert, for example, maybe you're an introvert.
- 0:23Speaker 1: Is perhaps closed circuit communities, copywriting, stuff that feels like
- 0:28Speaker 1: you're part of a team. You're not on your own
- 0:29Speaker 1: doing it, but you're not obliged to be with people.
- 0:32Speaker 1: And then extroverts, of course, sales is an example. Although introverts,
- 0:35Speaker 1: you can also sell. Everybody can sell. It's just using
- 0:37Speaker 1: different tools for different things. I think with extroverts, it's
- 0:40Speaker 1: probably more out there in the field, speaking on stage,
- 0:43Speaker 1: being on camera.
- 0:44Speaker 2: Those sorts of things.
- 0:45Speaker 1: But if you're an introvert, you can do videos, for example,
- 0:47Speaker 1: that don't show your face, that maybe are voiceovers. So
- 0:50Speaker 1: you've got to figure out what is good for your
- 0:51Speaker 1: personality and figure out how you're going to be able
- 0:53Speaker 1: to apply your personality to a particular thing and not
- 0:56Speaker 1: feel uncomfortable to be able to follow through and make
- 0:59Speaker 1: it work.
- 1:00Speaker 2: Next up, hobbies and passions. A lot of.
- 1:02Speaker 1: People disagree with me with this, but the people that
- 1:04Speaker 1: disagree on this have an unhappy working life. They don't
- 1:07Speaker 1: enjoy what they do. They might make money, but they're
- 1:10Speaker 1: not happy. And I do think in life, It's more
- 1:12Speaker 1: important to enjoy what you do. How you make your
- 1:15Speaker 1: money matters more than how much money you make.
- 1:17Speaker 2: But I also.
- 1:17Speaker 1: Feel that the people that really excel in business and
- 1:20Speaker 1: in life follow their hobbies and passions. So what is
- 1:24Speaker 1: it you like to do? Now, you might like to
- 1:26Speaker 1: dog walk. You might like to fly fish. How can
- 1:29Speaker 1: you make money around this is really what you need
- 1:31Speaker 1: to start thinking about. So if you can figure out
- 1:33Speaker 1: what your hobbies and passions are, probably your whole life,
- 1:36Speaker 1: someone's told you you can't make money in it. So
- 1:38Speaker 1: if you like going to the gym, someone's going to
- 1:40Speaker 1: say you can't make money at that.
- 1:41Speaker 2: That is not true. You can.
- 1:43Speaker 1: You just need to think of the business model, which
- 1:45Speaker 1: we can cover in a minute when we go through
- 1:46Speaker 1: some of the other things. But if you're passionate about something,
- 1:49Speaker 1: that's probably more related to like pain, some problem you
- 1:52Speaker 1: want to solve in the world. But if you haven't
- 1:53Speaker 1: got pain to find your purpose, you can use hobbies.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Literally something you do even if someone wasn't paying you.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Because if you can feel this way about something, you
- 2:02Speaker 1: end up getting good at it. You can be persistent.
- 2:04Speaker 1: You can follow through. You can get yourself out of
- 2:07Speaker 1: bed in the morning early because you're excited about doing it.
- 2:09Speaker 2: Guys, I'm trying to grow this channel.
- 2:11Speaker 1: If you get any value from it, please subscribe. And
- 2:13Speaker 1: please ask other people to subscribe so they can get
- 2:15Speaker 1: the business knowledge that school never gave you.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Next up, time. It's really important you understand time.
- 2:21Speaker 1: To me, time is a bit like financial literacy. You've
- 2:24Speaker 1: got to understand the value of money. You've got to
- 2:26Speaker 1: understand the value of your time. If you're selling time
- 2:29Speaker 1: because you've got a car on finance, work out how
- 2:32Speaker 1: much money you need to.
- 2:33Speaker 2: Make after tax to pay for that car.
- 2:36Speaker 1: And you'll soon discover that you're spending 20 hours a
- 2:39Speaker 1: month working for a car company, and 50 hours a
- 2:41Speaker 1: month working for your landlord or some mortgage asshole.
- 2:44Speaker 2: So please learn to own your time.
- 2:47Speaker 1: Learn to figure out how valuable time is and don't
- 2:50Speaker 1: charge by time. Charge by outcomes and also manage your time. Again,
- 2:55Speaker 1: everybody's trying to get a bit of your time, getting
- 2:57Speaker 1: you to watch Netflix, getting you to take time out
- 3:00Speaker 1: to do something that's going to make them.
- 3:01Speaker 2: Money like watch football. You need to learn to control time.
- 3:04Speaker 1: There's seven days in a week and you have 18
- 3:07Speaker 1: hours a day to do something What you need to
- 3:09Speaker 1: do if you learn to own time, of course you
- 3:11Speaker 1: need to sleep.
- 3:12Speaker 2: Please sleep. Please exercise. But you can.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Exercise and reply to emails. You can double up on time.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Most people think you can only do one thing at once.
- 3:21Speaker 1: It's not true. It's in your subconscious.
- 3:23Speaker 2: It's a lie.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Learn to double up your time and do more than
- 3:26Speaker 1: one thing at once to get more time in a day. Money.
- 3:29Speaker 2: They deliberately don't teach you this at school.
- 3:32Speaker 1: They don't want you to know how money works. Money,
- 3:34Speaker 1: like time, is a compound mechanism. How do you start
- 3:37Speaker 1: a business with no money? Well, first of all, you
- 3:39Speaker 1: learn to leverage your time. When you're young and you're
- 3:41Speaker 1: living at home, leverage it.
- 3:43Speaker 2: Now while you can.
- 3:44Speaker 1: If you get older and you've got your time taken up,
- 3:47Speaker 1: it means you don't have time to make money outside
- 3:49Speaker 1: of your work. That's why you have to do a
- 3:51Speaker 1: side hustle as soon as you can. Money is easy
- 3:53Speaker 1: to make the more things you give yourself time to do.
- 3:58Speaker 2: It's that simple.
- 3:58Speaker 1: And then you can apply yourself to YouTube, for example.
- 4:01Speaker 1: I made a video a year ago that helped you
- 4:04Speaker 1: a year ago. They're still making money every single month today.
- 4:06Speaker 1: Learn to make money when you're sleeping by investing time
- 4:11Speaker 1: in things that make you money forever. Now, content is
- 4:14Speaker 1: an obvious example, but honestly, there's so many other ways
- 4:17Speaker 1: you can do this. So for example, if you learn copywriting,
- 4:20Speaker 1: and you do a post for someone. Let's say they
- 4:22Speaker 1: pay you to do a post. Don't take a fee.
- 4:24Speaker 1: Don't take a flat fee. Take a percentage of whatever
- 4:27Speaker 1: that generates. So if you're selling someone else's product and
- 4:29Speaker 1: you're doing copywriting, don't just take the fee. Take whatever
- 4:33Speaker 1: you have managed to generate from that work. Don't sell
- 4:36Speaker 1: time and think about money as a scalable thing without
- 4:39Speaker 1: time involved in the income you make. Before we get
- 4:42Speaker 1: into point five, I reached out to my friend, Lior,
- 4:44Speaker 1: the founder of Build Your Store AI, to ask him
- 4:47Speaker 1: if he'd sponsor this video, because honestly, It's the perfect
- 4:50Speaker 1: example of what I'm talking about. Remember when I said
- 4:52Speaker 1: you need to invest time in the things that make
- 4:55Speaker 1: you money forever? Well, Build Your Store uses AI to
- 4:59Speaker 1: build you a complete Shopify store in under two minutes.
- 5:03Speaker 1: But here's why this is brilliant for everything we've been
- 5:05Speaker 1: discussing here.
- 5:06Speaker 2: First, it's free.
- 5:08Speaker 1: So you're not using that precious money we've been saving
- 5:11Speaker 1: or spending 50 hours working for some landlord to pay
- 5:14Speaker 1: for it. Second, once your store is up, it can
- 5:16Speaker 1: make sales 24-7. You can literally be sleeping at the
- 5:21Speaker 1: gym or working on your next project while orders are
- 5:24Speaker 1: coming in. The AI picks winning products for you, creates
- 5:27Speaker 1: optimized pages that actually convert, and sets everything up so
- 5:31Speaker 1: you can start selling immediately. No coding, no design skills,
- 5:35Speaker 1: no massive time investment. Think about it. Instead of charging
- 5:39Speaker 1: someone a flat fee for your time, you're building an asset.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Every product you add, every customer you gain, it's all
- 5:46Speaker 1: building something.
- 5:47Speaker 2: That pays you again and again.
- 5:49Speaker 1: That's exactly the kind of scalable income we need to
- 5:52Speaker 1: be creating. I made a video a year ago and
- 5:54Speaker 1: people are still watching it, still making me money that
- 5:57Speaker 1: I can use for dreamers.
- 5:59Speaker 2: Your store can work the same way. Set it up once.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Optimize it over time, and it keeps generating income. Click
- 6:07Speaker 1: the link down below to get your free AI-built store
- 6:10Speaker 1: from Build Your Store in less than the time it
- 6:12Speaker 1: takes to make a cup of tea. You could have
- 6:14Speaker 1: your first online business ready to go.
- 6:17Speaker 2: People, you cannot make it on your own. It's impossible.
- 6:21Speaker 1: If you think you're meant to do this all on
- 6:23Speaker 1: your own, you're going to lose.
- 6:24Speaker 2: Everybody else is doing it in teams.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Everybody who's succeeding 100% is doing it in teams. You
- 6:31Speaker 1: have to learn to collaborate. You have to learn to
- 6:33Speaker 1: find a co-founder, to work alongside your tribe. If you
- 6:37Speaker 1: try to do it on your own, you will fail.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Very few people can do it on their own. I've
- 6:42Speaker 1: not met anybody actually who's done it on their own.
- 6:44Speaker 1: Self-made millionaires, they're lying. It sounds good in their bio.
- 6:47Speaker 2: It's not.
- 6:48Speaker 1: So learn to collaborate, learn to find your tribe, learn
- 6:52Speaker 1: to communicate with that tribe and don't be greedy.
- 6:55Speaker 2: Share the success. Don't do 51%, 49% for a partner.
- 6:57Speaker 1: Do 50-50. Get your family and friends behind you. If
- 7:03Speaker 1: your friends can't support you, you're going to fail. You
- 7:06Speaker 1: have to have people who are not calling you and saying,
- 7:08Speaker 1: you changed, where are you?
- 7:10Speaker 2: You're supposed to be here.
- 7:10Speaker 1: When you're trying to build your dream, you need people
- 7:13Speaker 1: behind you. You need to make sure the people around
- 7:16Speaker 1: you are going to help make it happen.
- 7:17Speaker 2: Number six is growth opportunity.
- 7:19Speaker 1: The only way you don't end up working for yourself,
- 7:22Speaker 1: but somehow still acting like you're working for someone else
- 7:25Speaker 1: is if you can not only bring people in, understand
- 7:27Speaker 1: how time works, have passion to follow through, but understand
- 7:31Speaker 1: a growth mindset. There's a couple of ways you can
- 7:33Speaker 1: think about this. Like I mentioned earlier with people, you
- 7:35Speaker 1: really do need other people to help you make it work.
- 7:38Speaker 2: One plus one equals 11.
- 7:39Speaker 1: However, there are things you can do to have growth
- 7:42Speaker 1: that don't necessarily initially involve people.
- 7:44Speaker 2: Again, YouTube's a good example.
- 7:46Speaker 1: You can make a YouTube video like this and then
- 7:48Speaker 1: put an ad in there or sell product through the
- 7:50Speaker 1: video itself so.
- 7:51Speaker 2: The video makes money.
- 7:53Speaker 1: You get an ad that makes money, and then you're
- 7:55Speaker 1: selling merchandise that makes money. So how can you build
- 7:58Speaker 1: on top of your one, say, workload, making a YouTube video,
- 8:02Speaker 1: to make several growth opportunities for your business? The other
- 8:05Speaker 1: thing I'll say is make sure as you're building your dream,
- 8:08Speaker 1: that you have multiple ways of that dream becoming a reality.
- 8:11Speaker 1: So I can give an example of what I'm doing.
- 8:13Speaker 1: We've got helpbank.com. This is a LinkedIn competitor where you
- 8:16Speaker 1: can go and help people help people. But we also
- 8:18Speaker 1: got a brand called Dream Brew that we're launching where
- 8:20Speaker 1: we sell products and the profit from that product will
- 8:23Speaker 1: go to fund helping people with their dreams, building helpbank.com.
- 8:26Speaker 1: We also have an agency where we actually build content
- 8:29Speaker 1: out and make money from our content. So we have
- 8:31Speaker 1: multiple revenue streams for the same dream. You can't rely
- 8:35Speaker 1: on one income stream or one channel or one person,
- 8:38Speaker 1: you've got to build it all up to ensure a
- 8:40Speaker 1: growth opportunity. I'm off to have some chicken now.
- 8:42Speaker 2: Thanks for watching.
