- 0:30Speaker 1: It is time believe your worries outside and laugh with
- 0:35Speaker 1: us inside the treehouse. I'm Daniel Malley along with Trey
- 0:38Speaker 1: Trenholm and Jerry Caldwell on Thursday January ninth, twenty twenty five,
- 0:48Speaker 1: twenty twenty five. I know, so far I'm doing really
- 0:51Speaker 1: well about remembering that it's twenty twenty five and not
- 0:54Speaker 1: still twenty twenty four, Fingers crossed and knock on wood.
- 1:00Speaker 1: But today, being January ninth, twenty twenty five, I want
- 1:04Speaker 1: you both to lock this date into not only your
- 1:09Speaker 1: minds but also your hearts, because today is the day
- 1:15Speaker 1: I want you to remember for a long long time.
- 1:18Speaker 1: Because today I'm going to tell you about a Hooters
- 1:24Speaker 1: waitress that tried to flirt her way out of a duy.
- 1:27Speaker 1: And we have the bodycam footage, and this is one
- 1:35Speaker 1: of those times that whatever thoughts and feelings that might
- 1:39Speaker 1: be rushing into your minds right now, the reality might
- 1:45Speaker 1: outdo them. Okay, so let's find out this happened in Sarasota,
- 1:53Speaker 1: Florida in November. But the bodycam footage is just now
- 1:58Speaker 1: making the rounds.
- 2:02Speaker 2: Had you led with it was in Florida, then we
- 2:05Speaker 2: would have been like who the hell knows right.
- 2:09Speaker 1: I didn't want that to be the headline. The location
- 2:12Speaker 1: on this story isn't massive. Water boobs are.
- 2:24Speaker 3: So here we have go ahead, Jerry. The title of
- 2:27Speaker 3: that video is certainly eye catching.
- 2:29Speaker 1: It is It is Hooters waitress tried to flirt her
- 2:34Speaker 1: way out of a d u y and we have
- 2:36Speaker 1: the body cam footage. Here we go.
- 2:39Speaker 4: We're gonna make out here, wake out here, We're gonna
- 2:46Speaker 4: make out.
- 2:51Speaker 1: That's a that's a solid start in trying to flirt
- 2:54Speaker 1: your way out of a d u y. Is not
- 2:56Speaker 1: asking but demand, just saying we're gonna make out, gotta
- 3:00Speaker 1: make out. That's gonna make out here. What's that, Jerry?
- 3:04Speaker 1: That's never worked for me? You know what, Just keep
- 3:10Speaker 1: plugging away.
- 3:14Speaker 4: We're gonna make out here. I'm gonna wake out here.
- 3:17Speaker 4: We're gonna make out.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Stay right there.
- 3:25Speaker 5: Pick out of heap bro?
- 3:26Speaker 6: I know, I.
- 3:29Speaker 5: Row I got a.
- 3:34Speaker 1: I mean, what would turn you on more? Being called
- 3:38Speaker 1: bro or being told that she's got a pee? She's
- 3:44Speaker 1: got interesting tactics. I'll give her that.
- 3:47Speaker 5: Pick out of heap bro, I know, I row I
- 3:51Speaker 5: got a.
- 3:55Speaker 6: Okay, do you want to try this first exercise for me,
- 3:58Speaker 6: I will do anything for you, daddy.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Now we're talking. Yeah, so we've now crossed over from
- 4:07Speaker 1: flirting into a whole other level of trying to get
- 4:11Speaker 1: out of the duy.
- 4:15Speaker 5: Exercise for me, I will do anything for you, daddy,
- 4:20Speaker 5: God damn all right here?
- 4:22Speaker 4: That suit.
- 4:25Speaker 5: Anything for you?
- 4:27Speaker 1: Can you put your feet together? I will give her
- 4:33Speaker 1: a credit. Her acting on that is really really good.
- 4:35Speaker 1: I don't know if she's just saying that to try
- 4:37Speaker 1: to get out of the d u y or if
- 4:40Speaker 1: she really, really, really wants I have no idea what
- 4:43Speaker 1: the officer looks.
- 4:45Speaker 5: Anything for here, daddy, God damn all right here?
- 4:50Speaker 4: That suit?
- 4:53Speaker 6: Anything for you?
- 4:55Speaker 1: Can you put your feet together?
- 5:00Speaker 5: What you say?
- 5:00Speaker 1: Did? Okay? Now it's grabbing my flash.
- 5:06Speaker 6: Whatever you want, daddy, before we start, Before we.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Start, Hey, are you wearing?
- 5:15Speaker 5: Are you wearing wearing contact? I am wearing contacts. I
- 5:26Speaker 5: am more in contact. I am more in contacts. I
- 5:31Speaker 5: swear to God, I'm wearing contacts.
- 5:33Speaker 1: Hold on, I want you to I want you to
- 5:36Speaker 1: thank you.
- 5:37Speaker 5: I am we're in contacts. You might have glasses.
- 5:41Speaker 1: I tell you what, man, this officer's patience is astounding.
- 5:48Speaker 1: It is immense. He's kept his sense of humor about it.
- 5:53Speaker 1: He's he's laughing along along with the things that she's saying,
- 5:59Speaker 1: because I've seen news stories about officers that didn't have
- 6:03Speaker 1: this amount of restraint. Instead, they took up the suspect
- 6:07Speaker 1: on their offers of being called daddy and doing anything
- 6:10Speaker 1: they want.
- 6:12Speaker 5: I am wearing contacts. I am were in contacts. I
- 6:20Speaker 5: am more in contact.
- 6:21Speaker 1: You gotta pull up. And not only is she wearing
- 6:23Speaker 1: the Hooters sweatshirt, but she's also got her work Hooters
- 6:27Speaker 1: tank top underneath, and that's what she's showing off there.
- 6:32Speaker 5: I am more in contacts. I swear to God, I'm
- 6:36Speaker 5: more in contacts.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Hold on, I want you to I want you to
- 6:39Speaker 1: thank you.
- 6:40Speaker 5: I am more in contacts. You might have glasses, but
- 6:45Speaker 5: I am more in contacts, Sophia, I swear to God,
- 6:50Speaker 5: I'm more in contact. Why he's such a nerd bro.
- 6:56Speaker 5: Don't be such a nerve bro.
- 7:00Speaker 3: So she keeps referencing her boobs when she talks about contacts.
- 7:05Speaker 3: So are we talking like pasties or something?
- 7:07Speaker 1: What does she I? Who knows? She's obviously under the
- 7:11Speaker 1: influence of something she did at one point in the
- 7:15Speaker 1: Bodykim footage admit to the officer that she was drinking
- 7:18Speaker 1: at a bar prior to the stop.
- 7:22Speaker 2: All I know is her defense attorney is going to
- 7:25Speaker 2: be thrilled when he gets to watch that video.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Yeah, there's a there's going to be a long line
- 7:38Speaker 1: of defense attorneys wanting to line up for this one,
- 7:40Speaker 1: just because it'll be such an easy case. I mean,
- 7:42Speaker 1: you're gonna get paid and you may get a date
- 7:44Speaker 1: out of it. But yeah, this happened in sarah Soota, Florida.
- 7:50Speaker 1: This was twenty two year old Sophia Ross. She was
- 7:53Speaker 1: arrested in November after an officer observed her striking multiple
- 7:58Speaker 1: curbs and stopping at green light, which is a pretty
- 8:01Speaker 1: big indication that someone's not sober. She actually refused the
- 8:05Speaker 1: field sobriety test. She's pleaded not guilty, but obviously she's
- 8:10Speaker 1: far from innocent, and hats off to this officer for
- 8:17Speaker 1: keeping his composure without a doubt.
- 8:19Speaker 3: It's a great tactic. Great tactic. What's a great tactic? Hey, daddy,
- 8:24Speaker 3: don't be a nerd.
- 8:28Speaker 1: Surprised that he just didn't, you know, quit right there
- 8:31Speaker 1: and ask her out on a date. Right.
- 8:38Speaker 7: Freehouse visits online at Freehouse on Air dot com.
- 8:47Speaker 1: Time now to talk to Daniel Cook from cook DFW
- 8:50Speaker 1: Roofing and Restoration for your free roof inspection and to
- 8:53Speaker 1: get yourself on the very important cook list eight three
- 8:56Speaker 1: three cook DFW or the website cookdfw dot com. It's
- 9:00Speaker 1: that time of season, Daniel, and that season is of
- 9:03Speaker 1: course people on their roofs decorating for the holidays. Many
- 9:05Speaker 1: people already have decorated, which means they're going to take
- 9:08Speaker 1: them down soon. And is that when they're going to
- 9:11Speaker 1: discover that maybe they did little damage to their roof
- 9:14Speaker 1: when they put up Santa Claus and his reindeer man.
- 9:17Speaker 2: It is that time of the year.
- 9:18Speaker 6: Merry Christmas to you and everybody listening. And yes, sir,
- 9:23Speaker 6: we see a lot of roof damage, especially around the
- 9:28Speaker 6: edges of the people's homes. A lot of people will
- 9:31Speaker 6: skirt around the sides because they get scared about going
- 9:33Speaker 6: too far up and they kind of hold themselves up
- 9:36Speaker 6: around the edge as they're plugging the lights around, or
- 9:40Speaker 6: they'll hold the ladder against the side of the roof
- 9:42Speaker 6: and they'll damage the shingles all the way around the edges.
- 9:45Speaker 6: So there's a lot of things that happen to shingles,
- 9:47Speaker 6: and it may not damage it right away enough to leak,
- 9:50Speaker 6: but it's going to potentially put it there. So we
- 9:53Speaker 6: always suggest having your roof checked out once a year,
- 9:56Speaker 6: at least obviously for all the weather that we have,
- 9:58Speaker 6: but especially if you know you've had people on top
- 10:01Speaker 6: of your roof hanging lights or decorations, or you know
- 10:04Speaker 6: you see some shingles that are starting to fold on
- 10:06Speaker 6: the corner, so let us come out. Let's do an inspection.
- 10:09Speaker 6: May need some minor repairs, but it could save you
- 10:10Speaker 6: potentially thousands of dollars later on.
- 10:13Speaker 1: Eight three three cook DFW. That's eight three three cook DFW,
- 10:16Speaker 1: or that website cookdfw dot com. You're listening to the Treehouse.

- 10:34Speaker 1: This segment is brought to you by COOKDFW Roofing and
- 10:38Speaker 1: Restoration to get your free roof inspection, which would be
- 10:41Speaker 1: a really good idea after the winter weather kind of
- 10:45Speaker 1: goes away, you want to get that roof looked at,
- 10:47Speaker 1: called DFW. COOKDFW Roofing and Restoration eight three three Cook DFW.
- 10:52Speaker 1: That's eight three three cook DFW, or go to cookdfw
- 10:56Speaker 1: dot com. Dan Elmley, along with Trey Trenholm and Jerry
- 11:00Speaker 1: Calledwell inside the Treehouse. I have a dry January update
- 11:07Speaker 1: for you. So I told you guys a couple of
- 11:09Speaker 1: days ago that my wife and I are taking part
- 11:12Speaker 1: in our very first dry January, where you drink no
- 11:15Speaker 1: alcohol for the month of January. People have different reasons
- 11:20Speaker 1: for doing it. For me, it's just sort of like
- 11:23Speaker 1: a reset on the new Year. I drink too much
- 11:27Speaker 1: as it is, so it's like, you know, let's peel
- 11:29Speaker 1: back a little bit, Let's stop, see how I do,
- 11:33Speaker 1: see how I feel, and assess it at the end
- 11:37Speaker 1: of the month. And I have now gone one entire
- 11:42Speaker 1: week without drinking, which I can honestly say is the
- 11:47Speaker 1: longest I have gone in fifteen years or so in
- 11:52Speaker 1: a row. But one of the interesting things to come
- 11:57Speaker 1: out of my personal dry January was something totally unexpected
- 12:03Speaker 1: because I did something last night that I've never done before. Pegging.
- 12:08Speaker 1: Oh no, oh, you've done that before. No, no, no,
- 12:18Speaker 1: I've I've never I've never tried pegging. Ah. But if
- 12:22Speaker 1: I was going to try pegging, it certainly wouldn't be
- 12:25Speaker 1: in dry January. Fair. I think that'd be better for
- 12:32Speaker 1: a moist month. Uh no, uh, last night I went
- 12:41Speaker 1: to a bar and I did not have a drink.
- 12:46Speaker 1: So we actually went to the bar, went to the bar,
- 12:48Speaker 1: to the viper's nest, went went right in there and
- 12:52Speaker 1: laid in the middle of him and let them, you know,
- 12:54Speaker 1: slither all over me and breathe on me and get
- 12:57Speaker 1: the little, you know, little tongue thing. This is it
- 13:00Speaker 1: and be a weird metaphor. Went to the bar last
- 13:03Speaker 1: night and did not get a drink. So take your
- 13:06Speaker 1: little golf clap tray that you were doing just a
- 13:09Speaker 1: minute ago and shove it.
- 13:10Speaker 2: That was a big moment for me. So tell me,
- 13:14Speaker 2: Daniel boy, were there drunk people in the bar? Oh yeah,
- 13:20Speaker 2: how did you find them?
- 13:23Speaker 1: We sat real far away now at the end, just
- 13:28Speaker 1: try to stay to ourselves and.
- 13:30Speaker 2: You need to really fully embrace. I want you to.
- 13:35Speaker 2: I want you to know my life. I want you
- 13:37Speaker 2: to go back to the bar, and I want you
- 13:39Speaker 2: to interact with drunk people, just like, let's go for
- 13:42Speaker 2: an hour.
- 13:44Speaker 1: You get paid to do that tray. I don't want
- 13:46Speaker 1: to do it for free. That's that's that's your other
- 13:49Speaker 1: that's your day job. Your day job is to get
- 13:51Speaker 1: paid to deal with drunk people. I don't get paid
- 13:54Speaker 1: for that. If someone wants to pay me for it,
- 13:56Speaker 1: then maybe I would entertain the option.
- 14:00Speaker 2: But I think you should take a recorder.
- 14:06Speaker 1: That's a good thing is nowadays. Ever, you know, your
- 14:08Speaker 1: phone's a recorder. Everyone's got these. That's easy. Yeah, I
- 14:13Speaker 1: did that. It was fine. We it was. It really
- 14:19Speaker 1: was a big test. It's like, okay, because we wanted
- 14:21Speaker 1: to go out. It had been a week since we
- 14:23Speaker 1: had done anything, and others, like the only times we
- 14:26Speaker 1: had left the house over the last week was just
- 14:28Speaker 1: to go run some errands. And after a while that
- 14:30Speaker 1: gets boring. Because we're social creatures. Try to and you
- 14:33Speaker 1: know we you know, my wife and I you know,
- 14:35Speaker 1: are at home a lot, so it's better to get
- 14:39Speaker 1: a little bit of social interaction from people other than
- 14:41Speaker 1: each other. You know, I get to I get to
- 14:43Speaker 1: hang out with you guys, but you know, she doesn't
- 14:46Speaker 1: really I'm I'm like her only person. And that gets
- 14:49Speaker 1: real old, real fast. So, uh, we have one of
- 14:54Speaker 1: one of our neighborhood bars that we go to, one
- 14:56Speaker 1: of we know the we know their schedule the bar,
- 15:00Speaker 1: and there's one that we really really like and We're
- 15:02Speaker 1: very friendly with her, so we go down there and socialize.
- 15:06Speaker 1: The downside to being heavy drinkers, especially when you go
- 15:09Speaker 1: to the same places over and over, is it's kind
- 15:12Speaker 1: of like Cheers and norm When you walk in, they
- 15:16Speaker 1: already got your drink waiting for you. So if out
- 15:19Speaker 1: of the blue you're telling them whoa, whoa, whoa, don't
- 15:23Speaker 1: pour any vodka in that you get a weird look.
- 15:27Speaker 1: But thankfully we were able to catch breathe the bartender
- 15:30Speaker 1: before she poured our normal drinks. We were like, no, no, no,
- 15:33Speaker 1: we're doing just club soda, doing the dry January club
- 15:38Speaker 1: soda only, and it worked.
- 15:41Speaker 3: That would not work at my bar. They see me
- 15:43Speaker 3: hit the door and there's a beer before I even
- 15:47Speaker 3: get checked in. So does everyone.
- 15:49Speaker 1: Yell your name when you walk through the door, Jerry, Yep, yep.
- 15:53Speaker 1: It's a good feeling, isn't it It is? It is
- 15:56Speaker 1: weird though, Like, because I remember growing up watching Cheers
- 15:59Speaker 1: and things, I want to have that level of familiarity
- 16:06Speaker 1: and I do.
- 16:08Speaker 3: I am not participating in dry January. In fact, it's
- 16:12Speaker 3: quite the opposite. I've celebrated my first Monday and Tuesday
- 16:17Speaker 3: school nights not having to go to bed early and
- 16:21Speaker 3: or get up at the ass crack at dawn to
- 16:23Speaker 3: do a radio show because my morning show has been
- 16:26Speaker 3: moved to afternoons.
- 16:28Speaker 1: Well, congratulations, that's a great feeling when that happens. So
- 16:31Speaker 1: to celebrate, I have closed the bar down two nights
- 16:34Speaker 1: in a row, tray, and I did that before. Yeah,
- 16:40Speaker 1: except we didn't stop at two nights in a row.
- 16:45Speaker 1: Oh man. So yeah, I feel really good. And it's
- 16:48Speaker 1: interesting because I was looking at some where did this go?
- 16:53Speaker 1: Experts actually put together a handful of things that you
- 16:56Speaker 1: can do to help with dry January. So I'm curious
- 16:59Speaker 1: to see how what I'm doing stacks up to those
- 17:03Speaker 1: experts tips. So the first thing they say to do
- 17:07Speaker 1: for your dry January is set a goal. Okay, I've
- 17:10Speaker 1: done that. That seems like an obvious, isn't that in
- 17:13Speaker 1: the name? You'd think that really seems like a gimme,
- 17:17Speaker 1: But they still included it so that when we can
- 17:20Speaker 1: at least say I'm good, I've done that. Number two,
- 17:24Speaker 1: how to go dry again? It seems pretty obvious you
- 17:30Speaker 1: don't drink, but they actually say that you should be
- 17:33Speaker 1: specific and your goal should be measurable achievable, relevant, and
- 17:36Speaker 1: time based. They say, if you set a bar too high,
- 17:40Speaker 1: you may fail, So it's better to set smaller goals
- 17:42Speaker 1: to achieve it, sort of like, instead of necessarily calling
- 17:45Speaker 1: it dry January, just go just go the week, see
- 17:48Speaker 1: if you can do that. So anyway, I've done that,
- 17:51Speaker 1: all right, that's good. Number three Share your goal with others.
- 17:56Speaker 1: I have told you guys, and so I've checked that off.
- 18:01Speaker 1: Number four Dry January drinks. This is where they recommend
- 18:06Speaker 1: you can sort of trick your brain by drinking mocktails
- 18:11Speaker 1: or drinking something else that might be similar to what
- 18:14Speaker 1: you would normally drink, or just having like a soda,
- 18:17Speaker 1: which is what I did last night at the bar.
- 18:18Speaker 1: We got food to go, and while we waited for
- 18:20Speaker 1: our food, we just had a couple of club sodas,
- 18:23Speaker 1: something I never thought that I would ever find tasty,
- 18:26Speaker 1: but here we are. So check that box. And then finally,
- 18:32Speaker 1: track your progress, goal and feelings. They say, even just measure,
- 18:38Speaker 1: they say, even if you don't end up cutting out
- 18:40Speaker 1: all alcohol, tracking your emotions and urges to discover your
- 18:43Speaker 1: triggers can be helpful. Okay. Some of the benefits of
- 18:49Speaker 1: dry January include improved sleep for me, weight loss, it's
- 18:55Speaker 1: too early to tell for me. And increased energy. And
- 18:59Speaker 1: I say on the energy thing, yeah, I think so.
- 19:03Speaker 1: Having any weird dreams, yes, but again, but again, I
- 19:09Speaker 1: also take melotonin, so I don't know what the source
- 19:11Speaker 1: of that is. Is it the melatonin dream that I'm
- 19:13Speaker 1: having or is it the DT dreams?
- 19:17Speaker 2: It's you know, I don't know about. Are you sweating
- 19:19Speaker 2: through your bed sheets?
- 19:21Speaker 1: I'm not sweating through my bed sheets, but I did.
- 19:24Speaker 1: But I did have a dream that I was licking
- 19:26Speaker 1: a tiger last night.
- 19:27Speaker 3: Is that that's That's a good one.
- 19:31Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, but I didn't tell you the part where
- 19:36Speaker 1: it licked me back.

- 20:33Speaker 1: That's Treehouse on Air dot com For the Treehouse Podcast,
- 20:37Speaker 1: Dan Trey and Jerry inside the Treehouse Now I think
- 20:41Speaker 1: it was yesterday or day before. I can't remember. Even
- 20:43Speaker 1: though I'm not drinking, my brain and my memories still
- 20:46Speaker 1: sucks ass. But recently I was I told you guys
- 20:51Speaker 1: how murder hornets have been wiped out in the United States.
- 20:58Speaker 1: The murder hornet first emerged in the Pacific Northwest in
- 21:02Speaker 1: twenty twenty and in twenty twenty one, experts stopped seeing
- 21:10Speaker 1: any traces of them due to some of the things
- 21:13Speaker 1: that they did to thwart the existence of murder hornets
- 21:16Speaker 1: in the United States. And they were smart because they
- 21:21Speaker 1: didn't tell us about it until recently. They waited four
- 21:24Speaker 1: years until after they had not seen any evidence of
- 21:29Speaker 1: murder hornets before they told us. Before they gave us
- 21:31Speaker 1: the good news. So I was very happy, as we
- 21:34Speaker 1: mentioned the other day about how we get to start
- 21:37Speaker 1: twenty twenty five with a win for America. Yeah. Us,
- 21:42Speaker 1: But I got really curious, how did they do it?
- 21:47Speaker 1: How did they eradicate murder hornets in the United States?
- 21:51Speaker 1: So I had the little research. First thing they did
- 21:54Speaker 1: was the experts asked residents of the Pacific Northwest to
- 22:01Speaker 1: place traps on their properties. They also asked them to
- 22:05Speaker 1: report any sightings plus researchers were able to capture a
- 22:10Speaker 1: live murder hornet. That that was a fun day at work,
- 22:17Speaker 1: And you would think catching a live murder hornet would
- 22:21Speaker 1: be the scariest thing you would do that day. But wait,
- 22:24Speaker 1: there's more. Because after they caught this live murder hornet,
- 22:28Speaker 1: someone drew the short straw and had to attach a
- 22:31Speaker 1: tiny radio tracking tag to it with dental flaws. Have
- 22:38Speaker 1: you ever tried. It's kind of like trying to tie
- 22:41Speaker 1: the knot on some fishing line or something. Trying to
- 22:44Speaker 1: tie anything with string or floss or twine or fishing
- 22:49Speaker 1: line is so difficult. Now imagine that you're tying that
- 22:56Speaker 1: tiny knot to a tiny radio tracking tag to a huge, massive,
- 23:03Speaker 1: dangerous murder hornet. All right, So that's what they did.
- 23:08Speaker 1: Then they let it go. They followed it through a forest, which,
- 23:12Speaker 1: by the way, I'd like to see that footage. I
- 23:14Speaker 1: bet that'd be cool to see. Of course, now that
- 23:17Speaker 1: I'm thinking about it, they said it was just a
- 23:19Speaker 1: radio tracking tag, so I guess they didn't have video
- 23:21Speaker 1: of it, but man, that'd be cool that they did.
- 23:25Speaker 1: So anyway, they followed it through a forest to a
- 23:27Speaker 1: nest in a tree. Just as a number of queens
- 23:31Speaker 1: were beginning to emerge. How's that for timing? Scientists destroyed
- 23:36Speaker 1: the nest, presumably with fire and a spell from the
- 23:39Speaker 1: Book of the Bed. I knew there had to be
- 23:42Speaker 1: flame furs involved somewhere in the story. Yeah, I mean,
- 23:45Speaker 1: if I was one of these ichyologists, that'd be what
- 23:48Speaker 1: i'd be carrying around just in case. But that's when
- 23:54Speaker 1: one of these experts, the pest program manager of the
- 23:57Speaker 1: Washington State Department of Agriculture, his name is been Tiger,
- 24:02Speaker 1: speaking just call Hims. Finn Spinn from the Washington State
- 24:06Speaker 1: Department of Agriculture said, I got to tell you, as
- 24:08Speaker 1: an entomologist, I've been doing this for over twenty five years,
- 24:12Speaker 1: and it is a rare day when the humans actually
- 24:14Speaker 1: get to win one against the insects. So I'm gonna
- 24:19Speaker 1: bring back your golf clapp from earlier trade and say
- 24:21Speaker 1: once again, yay us and go America for having wiped
- 24:25Speaker 1: out the murder hornets in the United States. But will
- 24:30Speaker 1: it stay that way? Will the murder hornets never come back?
- 24:35Speaker 1: I asked this because it's so big and powerful. Soon
- 24:39Speaker 1: to be president again, Donald Trump wants to make it
- 24:41Speaker 1: the official bug of America, calling it the Maga Hornet
- 24:44Speaker 1: of Badassory. And he really really promises that Mexico is
- 24:48Speaker 1: gonna pay for it. I mean, if we're gonna rename
- 24:57Speaker 1: bodies of water, then why not some you know, some
- 24:59Speaker 1: cool ass buzz hugs. Once again, we have eradicated murder
- 25:05Speaker 1: hornets in the United States. That's a big w for
- 25:07Speaker 1: for all of us in the country, and it's important
- 25:09Speaker 1: that we count those whenever we can, because I feel
- 25:11Speaker 1: like we've been taking a lot of l's lately. I
- 25:15Speaker 1: just I still think about what it must have been
- 25:17Speaker 1: like for that for that person that was tasked with
- 25:23Speaker 1: tying that little radio tracker on a live murder. I
- 25:27Speaker 1: think part of that must have been hazing. I'm sure
- 25:29Speaker 1: they have some sort of like insect lab equivalent of
- 25:34Speaker 1: hot glue or something to make somebody like get up
- 25:36Speaker 1: right there and just like make sure that's yeah thing.
- 25:41Speaker 1: It's all like yeah, no that. I don't know if
- 25:46Speaker 1: that's the job you want to to pawn off on
- 25:48Speaker 1: someone as a prank. I think, I mean they're trying
- 25:50Speaker 1: to like do something important there. Who's holding it? Oh?
- 25:55Speaker 1: You think it's a two person job? Eh, it's gonna
- 25:58Speaker 1: be somebody's got the Tweezers.
- 26:01Speaker 2: Uh huh.
- 26:06Speaker 1: I tell you what. If I'm the guy that gets
- 26:08Speaker 1: that gets the job of holding the murder hornet with
- 26:10Speaker 1: the Tweezers, They're gonna be the longest god Tweezers on
- 26:14Speaker 1: the planets. It's gonna be like joke Tweezers that pulled
- 26:18Speaker 1: out of a pants from a clown. The Tweezers are
- 26:21Speaker 1: gonna be like four hundred feet long. Is gonna take
- 26:24Speaker 1: an army of people that have to operate it. I
- 26:26Speaker 1: am not gonna be in the same room with those
- 26:28Speaker 1: Tweezers with that murder hornet.
- 26:30Speaker 2: Yeah, but if you're the one having to hold it still,
- 26:32Speaker 2: you know, it's like, you know, doing something with your
- 26:34Speaker 2: dad and you're a kid and he's just yelling at
- 26:36Speaker 2: you hold it still.
- 26:37Speaker 1: Damn it, I am dad. You're listening to the tree House.

- 27:30Speaker 1: a new development with the murder hornets.
- 27:32Speaker 2: Yeah, the US Navy has officially adopted the name murder
- 27:36Speaker 2: Hornet for the f A eighteens with that are equipped
- 27:39Speaker 2: with nine air to air missiles.
- 27:41Speaker 1: Hell yeah, yeah, I just got chills. I got a
- 27:47Speaker 1: bit of a chub.
- 27:48Speaker 2: Yeah, four sidewinders and five AIM one twenties made their
- 27:57Speaker 2: combat debut last year in the Red Sea.
- 28:00Speaker 1: I just got extra chills and a chubb. Yeah. America
- 28:06Speaker 1: made their combat debut last year in the Red Sea.
- 28:09Speaker 1: Oh oh, thank you very much that that was cool
- 28:15Speaker 1: to be the first person to fire that and say,
- 28:17Speaker 1: uh wait a murder hornet away? Oh man, I just
- 28:23Speaker 1: it's got filled with a whole bunch of patriotism there.
- 28:26Speaker 1: What do you fly a murder hornet? And you know what,
- 28:32Speaker 1: I know that the family of the person that was
- 28:34Speaker 1: on the recipient of that murder hornet missile feels bad.
- 28:37Speaker 1: But I'll say this, if I was an enemy of
- 28:40Speaker 1: the United States of America and I got shot down
- 28:43Speaker 1: and killed by a murder hornet missile, that's pretty cool.
- 28:50Speaker 1: That's right. They were so bad ass they had to
- 28:53Speaker 1: send a murder hornet after him. Yeah. I mean, you're
- 28:55Speaker 1: still dead and all and right, but still you get
- 28:58Speaker 1: your family gets to say, you know, murder hornet, death
- 29:01Speaker 1: by murder hornet. That's cool.
- 29:06Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm sure they take solace in that one.
- 29:11Speaker 1: Yeah, maybe not so much. Okay, let's let's pivot here
- 29:15Speaker 1: just a bit. It is time four twenty twenty five's
- 29:22Speaker 1: very first Wrong Answers Only. That's the wrong button, had
- 29:27Speaker 1: it next to my bleep? It is time for wrong
- 29:34Speaker 1: Answers Only, the first of twenty twenty five. Gentlemen, I'm
- 29:38Speaker 1: going to read a headline here and there will be
- 29:42Speaker 1: a blank that you have to fill in with the
- 29:45Speaker 1: wrong answer. You got it, yep, got it all right.
- 29:48Speaker 1: Here we go Wrong Answers Only. A California man was
- 29:55Speaker 1: pulled over on New Year's Eve. A California was pulled
- 30:00Speaker 1: over on New Year's Eve. When the officer asked him
- 30:03Speaker 1: if he had been drinking, the man called himself the blank.
- 30:10Speaker 1: I'll give you a moment to think of your answer.
- 30:13Speaker 1: A California man was pulled over on New Year's Eve
- 30:16Speaker 1: when the officer asked him if he had been drinking.
- 30:18Speaker 1: The man called himself the blank. I need your wrong
- 30:23Speaker 1: answers only, mister Caldwell will start with you. Umm. He
- 30:30Speaker 1: called himself the dude. That would be wrong or do
- 30:38Speaker 1: to reno if you're not in brevity, which actually makes
- 30:42Speaker 1: it the correct answer. So good job, good job, Jared,
- 30:44Speaker 1: that that is the wrong answer. Well done, Now Trey,
- 30:49Speaker 1: your turn. A California man was pulled over on New
- 30:51Speaker 1: Year's Eve. When the officer asked him if he had
- 30:54Speaker 1: been drinking. The man called himself the blank, the murder
- 31:00Speaker 1: hornet of drinking. It's pretty cool. That's a cool nickname.
- 31:07Speaker 1: That is wrong, which is actually right because we're playing
- 31:12Speaker 1: wrong answers only. Congratulations Trey and congratulations Jerry. You both
- 31:17Speaker 1: have won wrong Answers Only. The correct answer for wrong
- 31:21Speaker 1: answers only today is A California man was pulled over
- 31:25Speaker 1: on New Year's Eve. When the officer asked him if
- 31:27Speaker 1: he had been drinking. The man called himself the d
- 31:32Speaker 1: UI instead of the d d You know you're drunk
- 31:38Speaker 1: when you tell the officer you're the d UI instead
- 31:42Speaker 1: of the d D Y. And there's actually there's actually
- 31:46Speaker 1: a little bit more to this because earlier we had
- 31:51Speaker 1: the body cam footage of the Hooters waitress trying to
- 31:53Speaker 1: hit on the arresting officer on her DUI. Here we
- 31:57Speaker 1: have a little bit of the audio of the jaman
- 32:00Speaker 1: telling the officer that he's not drunk, he's the duy.
- 32:07Speaker 6: Being stuff for a DUI investigation.
- 32:09Speaker 7: Do you have your license on you?
- 32:10Speaker 1: I do?
- 32:11Speaker 6: Where are you coming from?
- 32:12Speaker 5: I'm telling I was just dropping off my friend because
- 32:15Speaker 5: I'm the d Uy tonight, and I was dropping her
- 32:17Speaker 5: off near the.
- 32:18Speaker 6: In and out off of Tebecula. Okay, I'm heading my
- 32:21Speaker 6: way back off of like you're the Duy tonight.
- 32:23Speaker 1: Do you mean to say the d d I had
- 32:28Speaker 1: a beer and some champagne a couple of hours ago,
- 32:30Speaker 1: but so I got a place uner arrest. Okay, he
- 32:33Speaker 1: was so close. He sounded good, he sounded he wasn't
- 32:38Speaker 1: slurring his words. He he he sounded composed. But he
- 32:43Speaker 1: said the wrong said the wrong thing.
- 32:45Speaker 2: I don't know why people still think that the whole Oh,
- 32:48Speaker 2: I'll be honest and say I had a drink is
- 32:51Speaker 2: a good idea.
- 32:52Speaker 1: It's not deny, deny, deny. I'm nodding my head furiously
- 33:00Speaker 1: in agreement. Deny, deny, deny.
- 33:03Speaker 2: When you said, when you say you've had a drink,
- 33:05Speaker 2: you just gave them probable cause.
- 33:07Speaker 1: Mm hmm. Look at it this way. Uh, if you
- 33:10Speaker 1: get caught cheating, what's the thing you need to do? Deny, deny, deny.
- 33:13Speaker 1: You don't tell your wife or your girlfriend, well, I
- 33:16Speaker 1: just had a couple of SIPs or I only had
- 33:20Speaker 1: a couple of licks. Guess what. It's not going to
- 33:22Speaker 1: work with her, and it's not going to work with
- 33:24Speaker 1: that officer either. You're listening to the tree House.

- 34:20Speaker 1: January ninth, twenty twenty five, So let's celebrate with some birthdays.
- 34:29Speaker 1: Nina doe brev is thirty six today. She played Elena
- 34:34Speaker 1: on The Vampire Diaries and Guys I'm not sure if
- 34:38Speaker 1: you know who she is, Nina dough Brev. I'll give you.
- 34:42Speaker 1: I'll give you a moment. Pull your phones up and
- 34:44Speaker 1: do it like a quick Google image search. Nina doe Breav.
- 34:47Speaker 1: It's ni inn A dob r Ev dob r Ev.
- 34:54Speaker 1: She is thirty six today. She's an attractive young lady
- 34:59Speaker 1: and there is only one degree of separation between all
- 35:05Speaker 1: of us and birthday girl needed a dough Breath who
- 35:11Speaker 1: because our good friend, actor, comedian and television host Tone
- 35:15Speaker 1: Bell co starred with her in a sitcom one of
- 35:19Speaker 1: his mini failed sitcoms, but still co starred with her
- 35:23Speaker 1: on a CBS sitcom a handful of years ago. And
- 35:26Speaker 1: they buddies, or at least they were back then. Not
- 35:28Speaker 1: sure about now, but Nina dough Breath thirty six today,
- 35:32Speaker 1: separated from the treehouse by only one degree of separation.
- 35:37Speaker 1: Not too shabby. Kate Middleton turns forty three. That's Prince
- 35:42Speaker 1: William's wife. She's the Princess of Wales in case she
- 35:46Speaker 1: need the official title, soon to be Queen of England.
- 35:48Speaker 1: That'll happen other birthdays today. From the Backstreet Boys, aj
- 35:52Speaker 1: McLean is forty seven, also forty seven, chad Ocho Sinko.
- 35:57Speaker 1: I guess he's still kept that last name instead of
- 36:00Speaker 1: going back to Johnson. He's just forever gonna be eight five,
- 36:05Speaker 1: his football number from the Bengals playing days. It seems
- 36:11Speaker 1: like after a while you'd either switch it back or
- 36:13Speaker 1: go to something else. Entirely me well, other birthdays to Dave.
- 36:17Speaker 1: Dave Matthews turns fifty eight. I don't know if he's
- 36:21Speaker 1: super polarizing, but I feel like Dave Matthews is one
- 36:24Speaker 1: of those musicians. It's a kind of a lover hate relationship.
- 36:26Speaker 1: So where do you fall?
- 36:30Speaker 2: I like Dave Matthews. I got to see Dave Matthews
- 36:33Speaker 2: in Austin before he was huge, and.
- 36:39Speaker 1: I always.
- 36:41Speaker 2: Where Dave Matthews falls for me is Dave Matthews. A
- 36:44Speaker 2: Dave Matthews concert was where I realized, all of a sudden,
- 36:47Speaker 2: I had hit a different age, because you know, fun whatever,
- 36:55Speaker 2: you know, people go there's a lot of weed, smoke
- 36:57Speaker 2: and everything else. Yeah, and normally you go sit on
- 37:01Speaker 2: the lawn at like STARplex whatever. The last time I
- 37:05Speaker 2: went to a Dave Matthew's concert, I actually bought good
- 37:08Speaker 2: seats at star Plex, but like in the seated covered
- 37:11Speaker 2: section whatever nice reserves.
- 37:13Speaker 1: I thought you were going to say you actually bought
- 37:14Speaker 1: good weed. Yeah, no, No, it was free, right, Dave
- 37:22Speaker 1: Matthews concert. That's the real hero right there.
- 37:24Speaker 2: But I realized I had gotten too old because it
- 37:28Speaker 2: would pissed me off so bad because if there are
- 37:31Speaker 2: you know, thirty seats in a row, there were sixty
- 37:34Speaker 2: people in that row. All the kids are bringing their
- 37:37Speaker 2: friends and everything else, and I'm like, yeah, too old
- 37:39Speaker 2: for this.
- 37:41Speaker 1: So you wanted them to get back to their lawn seats.
- 37:44Speaker 2: Yes, they'll sit down and enjoy the show.
- 37:49Speaker 1: That that was gonna be my question. That's the ultimate
- 37:52Speaker 1: question that you have to answer when you reach a
- 37:54Speaker 1: certain age when you go to a concert. Are you
- 37:58Speaker 1: trying to get people to sit down so you can
- 38:00Speaker 1: sit down? It better?
- 38:03Speaker 2: It has to be a damn good show for me
- 38:05Speaker 2: to want to stand.
- 38:06Speaker 1: The entire time. So you have reached now the age
- 38:11Speaker 1: in which you want to sit at a concert? Yeah,
- 38:16Speaker 1: unless you know.
- 38:18Speaker 2: I'll say that Coldplay is one of the best answers
- 38:20Speaker 2: I've ever been to, probably the best one. And one
- 38:24Speaker 2: of the things that makes it great is you know,
- 38:27Speaker 2: like they don't really release new music anymore. They literally
- 38:29Speaker 2: when they toured, they're just laying the hits and they
- 38:31Speaker 2: have enough of them. It is two hours of nothing.
- 38:33Speaker 2: But its stood for most of that concert, no problem.
- 38:37Speaker 2: But other concerts, when you know you're gonna hit, hear
- 38:40Speaker 2: some of their quote unquote new stuff or whatever. Yeah,
- 38:43Speaker 2: I want to sit down if it's not a hit, Yeah,
- 38:46Speaker 2: I want.
- 38:46Speaker 1: To sit yeah. Yeah, yeah, the new stuff on the
- 38:52Speaker 1: new album, that's the time to rest your legs, go
- 38:53Speaker 1: to the bathroom, all that kind of stuff. About that.
- 39:04Speaker 1: Hold that up so they can see it. You're listening to.

- 39:58Speaker 1: little bit more here in the treehouse before we step
- 40:02Speaker 1: out for the day and try to get ready for
- 40:05Speaker 1: Winter storm twenty twenty five. I haven't seen is is
- 40:09Speaker 1: it catching a name yet? Is it getting like an
- 40:11Speaker 1: ice pocalypse name or Winter Geddon or anything like that,
- 40:15Speaker 1: or is it just as winter stuff is coming? I
- 40:20Speaker 1: think it's now.
- 40:21Speaker 2: Yeah, it's just more winter stuff is coming, because I mean,
- 40:24Speaker 2: the biggest thing, unless something drastically changes, it's not going
- 40:27Speaker 2: to get cold enough to I mean, it's probably gonna
- 40:30Speaker 2: ice some roads, but not it's not going to be
- 40:33Speaker 2: the ice apocalypse of twenty twenty one or anything like that.
- 40:36Speaker 1: I mean, it's interesting because the way the week started
- 40:39Speaker 1: out it was it was bad. I mean, you're having
- 40:43Speaker 1: an arctic blast that is blowing in through i'd say
- 40:46Speaker 1: the majority of the country, all the way down the Midwest.
- 40:50Speaker 1: It's going to affect the East coast as well, obviously
- 40:52Speaker 1: all the way down to US here in Texas. And
- 40:54Speaker 1: at the start of the week they were saying parts
- 40:56Speaker 1: of Texas could get a foot of snow, and I thought,
- 40:59Speaker 1: there's no there is no way that tex is going
- 41:03Speaker 1: to get a foot of snow. But that's what they
- 41:06Speaker 1: initially said. Each day every twenty four hours, I'd see
- 41:11Speaker 1: a new forecast, and like a really embarrassed porn star,
- 41:15Speaker 1: the inches just kept decreasing to where now I think
- 41:21Speaker 1: the last I saw it's maybe a couple of inches
- 41:25Speaker 1: of accumulation of snow or wintery mixed, depending on how
- 41:29Speaker 1: far north or south you are.
- 41:31Speaker 3: And the last four days though, sorry, oh go ahead, Jerry.
- 41:35Speaker 3: In the last four days it's changed four times, up
- 41:40Speaker 3: and down or just down. It's been moved back a day.
- 41:45Speaker 3: We've going to have more rain, less rain, more mixed precipitation.
- 41:50Speaker 3: It's going to be this temperature. But now it's going
- 41:51Speaker 3: to be warmer. Now, it's going to be cooler. Now
- 41:53Speaker 3: it's going to be warmer again.
- 41:56Speaker 2: I know the cotton Bowl people are puckered up, as
- 42:01Speaker 2: they should be. Yeah, at one point Jim Cantour was
- 42:07Speaker 2: coming down here, so you know, I thought, really we
- 42:08Speaker 2: are going to have some kind of weather.
- 42:12Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, things are about to get bad when
- 42:13Speaker 1: Jim Cantour shows up. Well, that's unfortunate because I mean,
- 42:18Speaker 1: like this winter storm started out with a with a huge,
- 42:21Speaker 1: huge like weather erection at twelve to fifteen inches, and
- 42:26Speaker 1: then each day it's you know, it's now it just
- 42:29Speaker 1: seems kind of limp. I guess it. It's a good thing.
- 42:36Speaker 1: But I still think about when I was a kid
- 42:39Speaker 1: waking up to see school going to be canceled today
- 42:42Speaker 1: because of winter weather, and uh, that's still a great
- 42:46Speaker 1: feeling as an adult. It was interesting because working in radio,
- 42:49Speaker 1: it would be how bad is the forecast? And are
- 42:53Speaker 1: they going to put me in a hotel for the night,
- 42:55Speaker 1: because those are interesting nights when you got a bunch
- 42:58Speaker 1: of radio people at the hotel across the street because
- 43:05Speaker 1: they have to go in the next morning because they're
- 43:07Speaker 1: essential to keep the stations on the air. There's some
- 43:11Speaker 1: fun stuff that happens in those hotels overnight because you
- 43:15Speaker 1: don't got to.
- 43:16Speaker 7: Pay for it.
- 43:17Speaker 1: You get room service, all of it's gonna be paid for.
- 43:20Speaker 1: It's one of the few times where you can actually
- 43:23Speaker 1: run up a huge bill and the company don't pay
- 43:27Speaker 1: for it, and they have to trust me. I tried.
- 43:30Speaker 1: I tried submitting plenty of other receipts to get reimbursed
- 43:33Speaker 1: on stuff, and they basically just told me to off.
- 43:39Speaker 2: But you had a good experience with staying at the
- 43:42Speaker 2: Lakita or whatever.
- 43:46Speaker 1: We made that lakinta fun Lakinta the residents in a
- 43:53Speaker 1: couple of times, and don't get me started on the
- 43:55Speaker 1: Crown Sweets parties. Was the life. That was the life
- 44:02Speaker 1: back then. In fact, if you want to find an
- 44:08Speaker 1: interesting thing to do for an evening and you want
- 44:10Speaker 1: to venture out into the storm, look up the radio
- 44:13Speaker 1: stations and find the hotels across the street right before
- 44:16Speaker 1: a winter storm, go stay at that hotel and set
- 44:20Speaker 1: yourself up at the lobby bar. You're gonna have stories
- 44:22Speaker 1: to tell. There's your tip from inside the three House today.
- 44:25Speaker 2: Yeah, except for at heart there only be two people there.
