- 0:00Speaker 1: Beard Law number two playoff beards are for athletes and posers.
- 0:05Speaker 1: What's up, everybody? This is Matt at Beard Loss Podcast,
- 0:09Speaker 1: Episode two coming at you. If you haven't checked out
- 0:11Speaker 1: episode one, give it a listen. It's obviously the one
- 0:14Speaker 1: right before this, probably not as good. Hopefully we're gonna
- 0:18Speaker 1: progress every episode, but it's the first one. You have
- 0:20Speaker 1: to start somewhere. It's not overly exciting in my opinion. Honestly,
- 0:27Speaker 1: there's no special guess. It's just the pilot episode. You know,
- 0:32Speaker 1: when you're watching TV series' TV series. When you're watching
- 0:35Speaker 1: some TV shows, the pilot episode isn't always great. It's
- 0:39Speaker 1: supposed to be the episode that really just is like, Wow,
- 0:42Speaker 1: this is amazing.
- 0:43Speaker 2: I'm hooked. I can't stop listening.
- 0:45Speaker 1: But let's be honest, when you look back on how
- 0:47Speaker 1: seasons and everything progress, you look back and you're like, shit,
- 0:49Speaker 1: that sucked. I can't believe I kept watching this shit.
- 0:52Speaker 2: Check it out.
- 0:53Speaker 1: Though it mostly breaks down beard tips from my beard
- 0:57Speaker 1: of brothers out there, and it's also explained what is
- 1:00Speaker 1: beard laws, where it kind of came from, what the
- 1:04Speaker 1: money's going for the whole cause a lot of it
- 1:05Speaker 1: can be seen at beard laws dot com. If you
- 1:07Speaker 1: don't want to listen to the whole podcast, that's fine,
- 1:09Speaker 1: check out beard laws dot com. Check it out and
- 1:12Speaker 1: you'll be up to speed. But yes, Beard Law Podcast
- 1:16Speaker 1: Episode two, I'm gonna talk to you guys about an app,
- 1:21Speaker 1: an app called TikTok. I don't know if you've ever
- 1:23Speaker 1: heard of TikTok or what it's about, but don't worry.
- 1:27Speaker 1: I'm gonna fill you guys in. Maybe it's something you're
- 1:30Speaker 1: gonna jump into. Maybe it's something you're gonna be like
- 1:32Speaker 1: Jesus Man, like you're really into this shit.
- 1:34Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I am so.
- 1:36Speaker 1: TikTok is an iOS and Android app that is made
- 1:40Speaker 1: to create and share short videos kind of like Vine
- 1:44Speaker 1: back in the day, not really like a snapchat, but
- 1:48Speaker 1: the short timing of it. You can do a fifteen
- 1:51Speaker 1: second clip which can be due, added, reacted, shared, all
- 1:55Speaker 1: that good stuff, and now you can actually get up
- 1:57Speaker 1: to a sixty second video. A lot of creators from
- 2:01Speaker 1: Vine YouTube, some celebrity shack DJ something I don't know
- 2:07Speaker 1: he's on there, Arnold Schwarzenegger, the guy that played Spider Man.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Just a couple of ones that I can think of,
- 2:13Speaker 1: and then there's there's some other content creators. Local guy
- 2:17Speaker 1: Andrew Streeter. He's out there, hoping to hook up with
- 2:21Speaker 1: an interview with him, just to kind of talk about
- 2:24Speaker 1: what he has going on, his success, you know, everything
- 2:28Speaker 1: that he does.
- 2:29Speaker 2: He's the trick shot guy. He's he's had a wild ride.
- 2:31Speaker 1: I'd really love to either sit down or or kind
- 2:33Speaker 1: of skype him in for an interview. So that's going
- 2:35Speaker 1: to hopefully be coming up. But he's on there. He's
- 2:37Speaker 1: got a ton of followers doing his trick shots rightfully,
- 2:40Speaker 1: so pretty pretty cool stuff. It's an app that helps
- 2:44Speaker 1: people get some exposure. But with the app, there's and
- 2:49Speaker 1: probably with any app, but there's there's a lot of
- 2:51Speaker 1: other things that have came with it. And I'm gonna
- 2:53Speaker 1: talk to you guys a little more in depth about
- 2:55Speaker 1: my take on the app and kind of what it's
- 2:58Speaker 1: become since when I.
- 2:59Speaker 2: First started on the app.
- 3:01Speaker 1: You can search for me probably by saying beard laws
- 3:04Speaker 1: or forty four beer nuts forty four. I'm on there
- 3:08Speaker 1: twenty something thousand followers. Probably most of them are fake
- 3:12Speaker 1: accounts and bots or creepy weird kids that wish they
- 3:15Speaker 1: had beards. But I've mess some really cool people on
- 3:19Speaker 1: this app that have turned into friendships. I've met some
- 3:21Speaker 1: really shitty people on this app. I'm gonna say the
- 3:26Speaker 1: majority of people are creepy, just terrible people. Some of
- 3:31Speaker 1: them actually have taken advantage of people for money. They've
- 3:35Speaker 1: ran some scams. And let's get into that little layer.
- 3:38Speaker 1: Let's just give you a quick quick overview of what
- 3:41Speaker 1: is TikTok so I said it was a you know,
- 3:43Speaker 1: an app that's on iOS and Android for creating and
- 3:46Speaker 1: sharing short videos. Originally was an app that was launched
- 3:49Speaker 1: in twenty seventeen by bit Dance in the China area.
- 3:53Speaker 1: It launched Douyan and the Giant Market in twenty sixteen.
- 3:57Speaker 1: They use the same software, but they're networks. That way,
- 4:01Speaker 1: it can comply with the Chinese censorship and all of
- 4:03Speaker 1: that good stuff. So I mean, it allows you to create,
- 4:07Speaker 1: like I said, a video that's anywhere from three to
- 4:09Speaker 1: fifteen seconds, and now it's evolved into a sixty second clip.
- 4:13Speaker 1: I can loop, you can add effects and filters and
- 4:16Speaker 1: texts and and just you know a bunch of different stuff.
- 4:19Speaker 1: It can be. It can be original content that you've created.
- 4:22Speaker 1: It can be just simply you taking whether it's a
- 4:26Speaker 1: song somebody else's audio and just lip syncing to it.
- 4:30Speaker 1: It's uh. I mean, like I said, it's kind of
- 4:32Speaker 1: the in app right now, just like everything kind of cycles.
- 4:35Speaker 1: It's it's pretty popular, but I don't think it's overly popular.
- 4:39Speaker 1: Some people might recognize it from the app. Musically they
- 4:45Speaker 1: kind of merged together. There was a buyout. I'm not
- 4:47Speaker 1: one hundred percent what I think TikTok merged with musically,
- 4:52Speaker 1: maybe they kept the name. Like I said, I don't
- 4:53Speaker 1: know the history of it. I don't have stock in it.
- 4:56Speaker 1: Just you know, just what I've heard, what I read
- 4:58Speaker 1: real quick before this. I don't know I how this
- 5:02Speaker 1: is how it all started for me. Let's just let's
- 5:03Speaker 1: just break it down. Let's let's just get going. I
- 5:05Speaker 1: love to lip sync, I love to sing. I love
- 5:07Speaker 1: music it, you know what I mean. I'm in a car,
- 5:10Speaker 1: I'm gonna sing a song. Sometimes I know it, sometimes
- 5:12Speaker 1: I don't. But just for those funny videos. I mean,
- 5:14Speaker 1: who hasn't busted out the uh, you know, a boy
- 5:17Speaker 1: band song and just kind of lip synced it or
- 5:19Speaker 1: sing it. You know, It's just something I've kind of
- 5:22Speaker 1: always done, and I thought it was funny. Then I
- 5:24Speaker 1: was scrolling one day on the Instagram and saw an
- 5:28Speaker 1: ad for this at TikTok, and I was like, oh shit,
- 5:31Speaker 1: kind of looks fun. You know, see a lot of
- 5:33Speaker 1: stupid games on there that I try that don't turn
- 5:35Speaker 1: out fun. This one kind of turned out all right.
- 5:39Speaker 1: So I download it and just start playing with it
- 5:41Speaker 1: and did some very terrible videos for the first couple ones.
- 5:44Speaker 1: I know, I did it like a teenage bottle rocket
- 5:46Speaker 1: when they call me Steve with this really cheesy, uh
- 5:49Speaker 1: cheesy filter, and then just kind of started playing with it.
- 5:52Speaker 1: My daughter thought it was funny. Me here, my nephew.
- 5:55Speaker 1: We kind of just made some videos. Obviously I didn't
- 5:57Speaker 1: publicize them. They're just public because there's a lot of
- 6:00Speaker 1: fucking creepy people out there and I don't want them
- 6:02Speaker 1: associated with it. So just kind of doing that. Started
- 6:05Speaker 1: doing that, just kind of doing songs, not really into
- 6:10Speaker 1: it or serious. Started following some people. I think the
- 6:12Speaker 1: first person I followed was Irish Cherokee, who's a really
- 6:18Speaker 1: good dude. We've become I don't know, TikTok buddies. I
- 6:21Speaker 1: guess we've As of late, we haven't really chatted but
- 6:23Speaker 1: you know, there was a time we chatted for a
- 6:25Speaker 1: little bit. He came out with a merch brand. I
- 6:27Speaker 1: bought something from him. He he helped promote beard Laws
- 6:31Speaker 1: there a little bit.
- 6:32Speaker 2: He's a bearded brother. He's got a.
- 6:34Speaker 1: Lot going on, he works hard, just just a just
- 6:37Speaker 1: a pretty good toue. You know. So he was one
- 6:39Speaker 1: of my first followers and just kind of pretty cool
- 6:42Speaker 1: how it worked out. He's he's up to a decent
- 6:44Speaker 1: amount of followers. Not exactly sure. I could look it up.
- 6:47Speaker 1: You thought, you think I'd be a little more prepared
- 6:49Speaker 1: for this, but a lot of this stuff's just kind
- 6:51Speaker 1: of coming, uh, coming at you unscripted. I feel like
- 6:55Speaker 1: that's that's how it goes. So, yeah, he's uh, he's
- 6:58Speaker 1: a hass tag Irish Nation Cherokee nineteen eighty three, shout out.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Let's try to get him on an interview. If you're
- 7:04Speaker 1: listening to this, let's do an interview. If not, I'm
- 7:06Speaker 1: gonna try to hit you up for an interview. I
- 7:08Speaker 1: think he'd be a part of it. But yeah, he's
- 7:10Speaker 1: got a merch line shop that spreadshirt dot com, slash
- 7:12Speaker 1: Irish Nason. He's on the Instagram. He goes live Instagram,
- 7:16Speaker 1: he goes live on TikTok. Like I said, just a
- 7:18Speaker 1: good dude has his own merch line just to kind
- 7:21Speaker 1: of make himself a little bit of money. So if
- 7:22Speaker 1: you want to be part of it, you want to
- 7:24Speaker 1: rock some irish here, he's uh, he's your man. So
- 7:28Speaker 1: back to gut sidetrack there.
- 7:30Speaker 2: That's gonna happen a lot to do with it.
- 7:31Speaker 1: So when I was messing around with the app one day,
- 7:35Speaker 1: I don't know, I'm just sitting there. I was like, Gosha, yeah,
- 7:37Speaker 1: beard laws. I'm just gonna say it whatever. So I
- 7:40Speaker 1: was like, hey, you know beard Law fourteen. If you
- 7:42Speaker 1: touch my beard without asking, I'll touch your butt without asking.
- 7:46Speaker 1: Just threw it out there and then bam, it just
- 7:48Speaker 1: went like mini viral on TikTok, like hundreds of thousands
- 7:53Speaker 1: of views and you know, like thirty or forty thousand likes.
- 7:57Speaker 1: I don't know how TikTok algorithms work, but I was
- 8:00Speaker 1: the lucky one of that day started getting a following.
- 8:02Speaker 1: I'm like, hmm, we're kind of onto something here. So
- 8:05Speaker 1: I just started making up beard loss and more beard
- 8:08Speaker 1: laws and more beard loss.
- 8:09Speaker 2: So as I kept making beard Laws up.
- 8:12Speaker 1: People kept liking, people kept viewing, kept commenting, and then
- 8:16Speaker 1: all of a sudden, I was like, well, shit, I
- 8:18Speaker 1: think we're kind of onto something here. I've been for
- 8:20Speaker 1: the last couple of years. Especially if you went to
- 8:23Speaker 1: beard loss dot com or check out episode one. You
- 8:25Speaker 1: know that my whole passion, my whole kind of goal
- 8:30Speaker 1: is like a side goal or a mission, you know,
- 8:32Speaker 1: not obviously in life, but I had a mission to
- 8:34Speaker 1: upgrade all the televisions at the cancer center, the Richard
- 8:37Speaker 1: Winter Cancer Center. Fortunately they are thirteen inch crt TV's
- 8:42Speaker 1: terrible sound, terrible video. I mean you need a telescope
- 8:46Speaker 1: sometimes to watch these TVs.
- 8:49Speaker 2: It's been put in the.
- 8:49Speaker 1: Budget a couple of times, it's been cut out of
- 8:51Speaker 1: the budget a couple of times. I've tried. I tried
- 8:54Speaker 1: to work an angle a couple of times, you know,
- 8:56Speaker 1: asking managers and you know, asking this, asking that, to
- 8:59Speaker 1: see if you know what can be done, if there's
- 9:02Speaker 1: a certain fund, if there's anything, Because at the time
- 9:04Speaker 1: they were looking to do twenty eight inch TVs, it
- 9:06Speaker 1: was around I don't know, let's say, five grand more
- 9:09Speaker 1: or less. At the end of the day, there wasn't
- 9:10Speaker 1: any funding. There wasn't any way to do it other
- 9:13Speaker 1: than raising the money myself, so insert beard Laws. So
- 9:17Speaker 1: I said, all right, well let's make it happen. So
- 9:19Speaker 1: it created a brand which is obviously on beard loss
- 9:22Speaker 1: dot com. Merch hats, shirts, tank tops, flip flops, and
- 9:28Speaker 1: almost anything. Anything's customizable. You do want something, hit me
- 9:31Speaker 1: up at beard laws dot com. But it just kind
- 9:33Speaker 1: of evolved and evolved and evolved, and as mentioned in
- 9:36Speaker 1: episode one, we did a motorcycle run. We're able to
- 9:38Speaker 1: raise twenty seven hundred and one dollars that's already been
- 9:41Speaker 1: donated there. I got a couple of thousand dollars from
- 9:44Speaker 1: the merch that I'm going to work on, waiting on
- 9:46Speaker 1: some big vendors National Grid, Moose Lodge, and potentially Pepsi
- 9:52Speaker 1: Distribution in Augsburg, New York to chip in some kind
- 9:55Speaker 1: of higher end donations. And then once I have everything
- 9:58Speaker 1: pulled in, I already have the quote. The newest quote
- 10:01Speaker 1: is just under seventy five hundred dollars. Hopefully we hit
- 10:03Speaker 1: that goal. If not, I'll make another push. But yeah,
- 10:07Speaker 1: so it really Beard Laws is to thank for this
- 10:10Speaker 1: at TikTok if you're listening TikTok. You are not getting
- 10:13Speaker 1: a cut, you're kind of to think. I mean, the
- 10:15Speaker 1: idea and the creation was still with me and some
- 10:18Speaker 1: members out there, so don't get greedy. But yeah, that's
- 10:22Speaker 1: kind of how it evolved. So for a while I
- 10:24Speaker 1: was just kind of releasing a Beard Law Day. I
- 10:26Speaker 1: still throwing in every once in a while their copywritten.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Was able to get that acquired. Still working on the book,
- 10:33Speaker 1: also mentioned in episode one. But so if you're if
- 10:37Speaker 1: you are a local artist and you're willing to help out,
- 10:40Speaker 1: please email me Mad at Beardlaws Com, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter,
- 10:43Speaker 1: whatever it is, whatever social media platform you like. I
- 10:46Speaker 1: would love it if you would help me with my idea.
- 10:49Speaker 1: I can give you more details, but I want to
- 10:51Speaker 1: get that going obviously this podcast and a couple other things.
- 10:56Speaker 1: Actually another episode three or four is going to be
- 10:59Speaker 1: about another adventure that I'm doing, or not an adventure,
- 11:02Speaker 1: I guess.
- 11:02Speaker 2: It'd be an endeavor.
- 11:04Speaker 1: Is on Twitch streaming games, Love Playing Games, brow Stars,
- 11:09Speaker 1: Class Royal Couple Games. Found that Twitch there's obviously ways
- 11:14Speaker 1: to not only advertise but make a little money towards
- 11:16Speaker 1: the cause. So I started that probably a week or
- 11:19Speaker 1: two ago, invested just a little bit of money pretty
- 11:21Speaker 1: much in the new camera, already had this mic and
- 11:22Speaker 1: everything set up, and as of middle of July, re
- 11:27Speaker 1: up to about seventy five followers. Once you get to
- 11:29Speaker 1: one hundred, I'm gonna start giving away some merchandise, some stickers,
- 11:32Speaker 1: you know, just stuff.
- 11:33Speaker 2: Like that for thanking people.
- 11:34Speaker 1: And you know, as I'm making money, it's going towards
- 11:37Speaker 1: the cause. And if I can spread the words, spread
- 11:40Speaker 1: the advertisement, why not. Yeah, so so TikTok. You know,
- 11:46Speaker 1: there's some very great people. I could go on and
- 11:49Speaker 1: name a whole bunch of people. There's a whole bunch
- 11:50Speaker 1: of supporters that supported Beard Laws and sent pictures. They
- 11:54Speaker 1: are on the Beard laws dot com, on the fan page.
- 11:57Speaker 1: A lot of local love, which obviously we've met before.
- 12:00Speaker 1: Some pretty cool things that are happening as of right now.
- 12:03Speaker 1: Amanda Nicole two point oh that's her name on TikTok
- 12:07Speaker 1: and Broken Smiles eighty two. They're both actually running a
- 12:10Speaker 1: beard contest. Naturally, as soon as I heard this in
- 12:14Speaker 1: my ears and my beard peeked up Villains, TikTok user
- 12:19Speaker 1: and a bearded Villain member like myself was kicking the
- 12:23Speaker 1: idea around with myself and a couple of people, and
- 12:25Speaker 1: he found two amazing hosts who he has running them
- 12:28Speaker 1: right now obviously as Amanda Underscore Nicole two point oh
- 12:33Speaker 1: and a lease E l y s e zero three
- 12:35Speaker 1: zero five. They are running the hashtag beard Thirsty competition
- 12:40Speaker 1: and Broken Smiles eighty two is running another beard competition
- 12:46Speaker 1: that that was obviously an idea through Villains Twisted and
- 12:51Speaker 1: just a couple of other people. So how the the
- 12:54Speaker 1: one for Broken Smiles is broken down into the top
- 12:59Speaker 1: eight at this point for bearded for I guess it
- 13:04Speaker 1: would be epic beard nominees. So the top eight was
- 13:08Speaker 1: recently announced. I was named nine, so I guess I
- 13:12Speaker 1: just missed the cut. The first one was chubby bearded
- 13:14Speaker 1: guy Scott Noble, Irish Cherokee nineteen eighty three, which mentioned
- 13:18Speaker 1: earlier X Underscore Limitless Underscore X was the top four five, six, seven, eight.
- 13:25Speaker 1: Is the Chucky d Awoken Titan, Teddy t eighty three,
- 13:29Speaker 1: Villain two one three kind of the mastermind behind a
- 13:32Speaker 1: lot of this. Alternates are myself and the Bean five
- 13:35Speaker 1: to one four, The Bean five one more. He's got
- 13:38Speaker 1: a pretty epic beard. He's got the No mustache look on.
- 13:41Speaker 1: It just looks good. It's smooth, it's longer, it's it's
- 13:45Speaker 1: it's a great looking beard. But as alternates, we're both
- 13:49Speaker 1: ready to go. We have our thoughts on that. A
- 13:51Speaker 1: couple of the people in the top eight have good beards,
- 13:54Speaker 1: they don't have great beards. That's no offense to you guys,
- 13:56Speaker 1: all right, we just take ours a little more extreme,
- 13:59Speaker 1: a little more serious. Not a big deal. So hopefully
- 14:02Speaker 1: we both get in. I think we're gonna get in.
- 14:04Speaker 1: If a couple of backout or they're non responsive, I
- 14:07Speaker 1: guess within time. So it sounds like somebody or some
- 14:10Speaker 1: people haven't responded. Because how it worked was people just
- 14:13Speaker 1: had to go in. They had to nominate their favorite beard,
- 14:16Speaker 1: their epic beard for the one for Broken Smiles eighty
- 14:18Speaker 1: two the most votes for the people on the top.
- 14:21Speaker 1: A got in, it's gonna go into a bracket. I'm
- 14:23Speaker 1: not exactly sure what's gonna happen after that. I assume
- 14:25Speaker 1: we're gonna do some videos or some kind of contest
- 14:29Speaker 1: related stuff. I'm gonna practice. I'm gonna rock the shit
- 14:31Speaker 1: out of it if I get in. So if you're listening,
- 14:33Speaker 1: Broken Smiles eighty two.
- 14:35Speaker 2: You get me in there.
- 14:36Speaker 1: You find a way and get the bean in there too.
- 14:38Speaker 1: You got to have us in there. I'll I'll be
- 14:40Speaker 1: the last seed. I'm not scared. I'll be the eight seed.
- 14:42Speaker 1: I'll go at number one. Then I'll take down number one,
- 14:44Speaker 1: and then I'll take down the next number three or
- 14:46Speaker 1: four or whoever you line them up, I'll take them down.
- 14:49Speaker 1: Let's go. And the one that I'm in in Nicole
- 14:51Speaker 1: two point zero and the Lease are running right now,
- 14:55Speaker 1: has gotten It's got some a little more traffic than
- 14:58Speaker 1: the one that Broken Smiles is. There's a lot more
- 15:00Speaker 1: people in my opinion, that are viewing, commenting, nominating, a
- 15:04Speaker 1: lot of traffic going to it right now, which is cool.
- 15:07Speaker 1: The Broken Smile is one that is as well. So
- 15:11Speaker 1: obviously not only placing in this one. The second one
- 15:15Speaker 1: for let me get let me back track here a
- 15:17Speaker 1: little bit, the one for a Man and Nicole.
- 15:18Speaker 2: It's the same concept.
- 15:19Speaker 1: You get nominated and then once you're in the nomination,
- 15:22Speaker 1: people going vote. Last I checked early this morning. I
- 15:26Speaker 1: was like fourteen, she was gonna take the top ten.
- 15:28Speaker 1: But I think I saw that she put out a
- 15:30Speaker 1: video she's gonna take the Top twenty now and hopefully
- 15:33Speaker 1: this gets released and edited this episode before they're announced,
- 15:37Speaker 1: so I can kind of or or I'll add in
- 15:39Speaker 1: as an update. Doesn't matter, but yeah, regardless, but I
- 15:42Speaker 1: looked a little bit ago and I almost think I'm
- 15:45Speaker 1: cracking the top five.
- 15:46Speaker 2: I've hit up there's a.
- 15:48Speaker 1: Crew on there called Team Destroy, which they have merch
- 15:50Speaker 1: as well Team Dash Descroy dot square dot site. They
- 15:53Speaker 1: sell great merch. It's a couple of amazing dudes, Jake
- 15:56Speaker 1: and Dobby, who uh well, I just have a blast
- 15:59Speaker 1: chatting with watching their content. They're current currently Dobbies doing
- 16:03Speaker 1: a energy drink kind of review on TikTok. Jake does
- 16:07Speaker 1: a lot of skits and memes and stuff like that.
- 16:10Speaker 1: Both just absolutely talented, funny, great dudes. I'm going to
- 16:15Speaker 1: hit them up and probably get them in on an
- 16:18Speaker 1: episode as well for a little interview. I know those
- 16:20Speaker 1: guys would take a little bit of time out of
- 16:22Speaker 1: their day to do this, but yeah, So I've hit
- 16:24Speaker 1: up Team Destroy some of the other amazing people that
- 16:27Speaker 1: I've met, and hopefully I have them on my side
- 16:30Speaker 1: because the one thing that I kind of have a
- 16:33Speaker 1: problem with, and it's not a problem this is all
- 16:35Speaker 1: for fun, and I'm gonna have fun with it. But
- 16:37Speaker 1: the thing that just kind of drives me a little
- 16:39Speaker 1: nuts is it's more of a popularity contest. Some of
- 16:41Speaker 1: the people that have received some of the most votes,
- 16:44Speaker 1: one of them I think has a goateee. One of
- 16:47Speaker 1: them has a glorified five o'clock shadow. In my opinion,
- 16:49Speaker 1: if you're going to have a beard thirst, a beard contest,
- 16:53Speaker 1: there should be some kind of requirements, some different categories, whatever.
- 16:58Speaker 1: So I've talked with Villain and a couple of people.
- 17:00Speaker 1: After all this settles down, whether I get eliminated, whatever's
- 17:04Speaker 1: going on, I'm not going to get eliminated that shit.
- 17:06Speaker 1: But I think we're going to try to actually do
- 17:10Speaker 1: a legitimately ran a legitimately categorized beard contest that is
- 17:16Speaker 1: going to involve the ladies as well, and a weird twist.
- 17:19Speaker 1: Stay tuned, but see what we get. Some traction talked
- 17:22Speaker 1: about doing like a ten dollars entry fee, so we
- 17:25Speaker 1: know people are serious. And in TikTok you can actually
- 17:28Speaker 1: give gifts and everything, which I can circle back to
- 17:32Speaker 1: that on how the on how TikTok works and some
- 17:34Speaker 1: of the functionality a little later, in the episode, but
- 17:38Speaker 1: ten dollars entry fee and give prizes away. I'd like
- 17:42Speaker 1: to hook up some winners and everything with some beard
- 17:44Speaker 1: Laws merch one that's going to get my name out
- 17:47Speaker 1: to Hey, who doesn't like a hat and a T
- 17:49Speaker 1: shirt and stuff like that. So I'd be the main
- 17:51Speaker 1: sponsor and just kind of see where it goes. So
- 17:54Speaker 1: if you're listening to this and you have any positive
- 17:56Speaker 1: or negative feedback, feel free mattbeard Laws dot com or
- 17:59Speaker 1: like mentioned as I mentioned before, any social media platform Twitter, Instagram, Facebook,
- 18:04Speaker 1: all that good stuff. YouTube. The beard contests I feel
- 18:09Speaker 1: would need a little more structure, but we'll see how
- 18:11Speaker 1: it goes. It would be really cool if a somewhat
- 18:13Speaker 1: smaller TikTok person as myself, somebody that doesn't have the
- 18:18Speaker 1: huge following, doesn't dedicate a ton of time doing the
- 18:21Speaker 1: lives in original content. I mean, obviously beard Laws is original,
- 18:27Speaker 1: some other stuff that I do is, but there's some
- 18:30Speaker 1: people that I'd be going against with hundreds and hundreds
- 18:32Speaker 1: of thousands of fans, you know, So hopefully people will
- 18:37Speaker 1: see the beard, recognize beard Laws, and help out with
- 18:40Speaker 1: the charity. If anything, I'm going have a great time
- 18:42Speaker 1: with it. So thank you to Villains, thank you to
- 18:44Speaker 1: Amanda Nicole, thank you to a Lease, and thank you
- 18:46Speaker 1: to Broken Smiles eighty two for putting on these beard contests.
- 18:49Speaker 1: They're just I mean, they're doing it out of their own,
- 18:51Speaker 1: their own time, their own just pleasure, just having fun
- 18:54Speaker 1: with it. Hopefully you all gain some exposure, a little
- 18:57Speaker 1: bit of TikTok popularity, whatever it is you're looking for.
- 19:00Speaker 2: Yeah, that's pretty cool. Stay tuned.
- 19:02Speaker 1: If you are on the app, give me a vote,
- 19:04Speaker 1: check it out.
- 19:04Speaker 2: I'll try to.
- 19:05Speaker 1: Send some links out on some social media's and stuff
- 19:08Speaker 1: like that.
- 19:08Speaker 2: It's also another project.
- 19:10Speaker 1: The Real slim Usus. He's a he's another great content creator,
- 19:14Speaker 1: has some great stuff. He's working on an episode about
- 19:17Speaker 1: beards for me. He's gonna send over a skit. We're
- 19:20Speaker 1: gonna go back and forth with some original content, put
- 19:22Speaker 1: on an episode. So when that's there, trust me, I
- 19:25Speaker 1: will I'll get that on. I'll get that on YouTube,
- 19:28Speaker 1: We'll get it around Twitter, we'll get it on TikTok.
- 19:30Speaker 1: We'll check that out back to we want. I mean,
- 19:32Speaker 1: obviously I'm gonna jump right to the exciting beard news,
- 19:35Speaker 1: but I'll just I'll just talk about the app in general,
- 19:38Speaker 1: just real quick, if you guys a feel, if you
- 19:40Speaker 1: are bored, just just skip ahead a little bit. That's
- 19:43Speaker 1: fine if you don't have to listen to this, But
- 19:44Speaker 1: the people that are really interested, maybe this will help you.
- 19:47Speaker 1: So you sign up for an account, you're gonna be like, wow,
- 19:50Speaker 1: there's a lot going on. There's trending hashtags on, and
- 19:53Speaker 1: then the first thing that you're gonna notice is a homepage.
- 19:56Speaker 1: There's gonna be people that you follow. If you start
- 19:58Speaker 1: to follow people, there's gonna be a for you. So
- 20:00Speaker 1: the for you page is some of their twisted algorithms
- 20:03Speaker 1: where they control who you see based on what you're liking,
- 20:07Speaker 1: what you're commenting on, who you follow, stuff like that.
- 20:10Speaker 1: You're gonna see some new people. Sometimes you're gonna see
- 20:13Speaker 1: the same thing all the time because on TikTok it's
- 20:15Speaker 1: all about trends, kind of like a lot of things,
- 20:18Speaker 1: almost like a high school, because this has almost ran
- 20:21Speaker 1: like a middle school high school. A lot of the
- 20:25Speaker 1: education in some of the clientele on this app, I
- 20:28Speaker 1: think they're stuck in middle school. The mentality between the bullying,
- 20:33Speaker 1: the the ridiculing, the attention, all of that it's just
- 20:38Speaker 1: so high schoolish. I mean, it's it gets a little ridiculous.
- 20:41Speaker 1: I actually step back from it because of the drama
- 20:43Speaker 1: and the bullshit in the way that things were. But so,
- 20:45Speaker 1: I mean, you're gonna see the same trend that you
- 20:48Speaker 1: know somebody's gonna come up with just like that.
- 20:50Speaker 2: That's that that.
- 20:51Speaker 1: Flossing dance where you just do the whole movie hips
- 20:55Speaker 1: and move your arms for back.
- 20:56Speaker 2: That shit drives me crazy.
- 20:58Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, what is it. I'm fortnite and shit
- 21:00Speaker 1: probably now, and I mean I'm out there helping coach
- 21:03Speaker 1: t ball and kids are not paying attention because they're
- 21:05Speaker 1: flossing and doing Fortnite dances and shit talking about pounding
- 21:10Speaker 1: big slam mountain dudes, staying up late in Fortnite. It's like,
- 21:13Speaker 1: these kids are six and seven.
- 21:15Speaker 2: What the fuck is going on?
- 21:18Speaker 1: But yeah, so anyways, some of these trends are really great.
- 21:21Speaker 1: They're funny. I think they're hilarious. And some of them
- 21:24Speaker 1: are absolutely ridiculous. They're crazy. Like there was a recent
- 21:30Speaker 1: one where this dude just lip synct a song and
- 21:32Speaker 1: mar Less said, you know, hey, I don't even know
- 21:34Speaker 1: what it said, but it was like something about Hey,
- 21:36Speaker 1: you know, tell us more.
- 21:38Speaker 2: Or less what your darkest secrets are.
- 21:40Speaker 1: Is how I took it. Is so all these people
- 21:43Speaker 1: that have had terrible things happen in their life, like dark,
- 21:47Speaker 1: dark shit, are on here, dueting, chatting and telling the
- 21:52Speaker 1: entire world about their terrible past. I'm thankful I haven't
- 21:56Speaker 1: had some of this really dark, terrible shit happens. To me,
- 21:59Speaker 1: maybe it's a great way for you to gain confidence,
- 22:02Speaker 1: for you to get it out and I don't know,
- 22:06Speaker 1: I guess I can't relate on that page, but it
- 22:08Speaker 1: just seems absolutely crazy to me. For you to tell
- 22:11Speaker 1: the world to a bunch of strangers and have it
- 22:13Speaker 1: out there, It just it just blows my mind. I mean,
- 22:16Speaker 1: this stuff meta tags, and if you search your username
- 22:21Speaker 1: now on Google, it's going to pull up all of
- 22:24Speaker 1: your TikTok stuff through Google. So if you're going to
- 22:26Speaker 1: look for a job and you're putting all this shit
- 22:28Speaker 1: out here, I mean there's people on there, you know,
- 22:30Speaker 1: doing drugs or not supposed to drinking, just acting like
- 22:33Speaker 1: an idiot out there. I mean, you got to think
- 22:36Speaker 1: about it, man, Like, if you're trying to get a job,
- 22:38Speaker 1: or you know, you get older, your kids start looking
- 22:41Speaker 1: at this stuff a potential boyfriend or girlfriend or whatever
- 22:45Speaker 1: gender it is that you love. That's kind of confused
- 22:48Speaker 1: me too, But yeah, that's all out there. The entire
- 22:50Speaker 1: world can know your darkest secrets and just shit like that.
- 22:54Speaker 1: Just I just don't get it, so somebody can explain
- 22:57Speaker 1: it to me. I'm not trying to insult anybody. I
- 23:00Speaker 1: don't think the guy. Actually, I don't know. Maybe the
- 23:02Speaker 1: guy was out there doing this annoying it was going
- 23:04Speaker 1: to blow up and he was gonna get a ton
- 23:05Speaker 1: of popularity and a ton of fans calling out and
- 23:10Speaker 1: just having everybody tell their darkest secret. Or maybe he
- 23:13Speaker 1: was just really trying to help.
- 23:14Speaker 2: I don't know. I'm not gonna judge. I'm not that
- 23:16Speaker 2: kind of guy that judges it.
- 23:17Speaker 1: Just it just seems ridiculous, and hopefully that people got
- 23:22Speaker 1: what they needed for doing it. I had one that
- 23:26Speaker 1: was kind of more of a funny play at it,
- 23:28Speaker 1: but I thought I was gonna get a lot of ridicule,
- 23:30Speaker 1: and I didn't want to come over as me being
- 23:32Speaker 1: an asshole, even though I'm kind of an asshole sometimes.
- 23:34Speaker 1: But yeah, I skipped that trend. And then there's just
- 23:37Speaker 1: it's kind of cool. I mean, there's there's people that
- 23:39Speaker 1: have there, they don't make a lot of friends. They
- 23:42Speaker 1: are kind of loaners. They're amazing people, but they're just
- 23:45Speaker 1: kind of shy. They're not great with people. And I
- 23:47Speaker 1: do feel that this app has helped people like this
- 23:50Speaker 1: reach out. They've they've found fellow people like themselves. You
- 23:53Speaker 1: see a lot of groups. You see a lot of
- 23:55Speaker 1: people that have came together and have formed you know,
- 23:58Speaker 1: internet families.
- 23:59Speaker 2: There's been a lot of meetups.
- 24:01Speaker 1: I do see that there is a lot of positive
- 24:03Speaker 1: to this app, and I do think that it does
- 24:05Speaker 1: outweigh the negatives. But there's a lot of negatives. I mean,
- 24:10Speaker 1: there's some people that have done fundraisers and stuff like
- 24:16Speaker 1: that to better themselves or which you know, that's that
- 24:20Speaker 1: if people want to pay and better yourself, that's great.
- 24:23Speaker 1: You gotta make money, you got to you gotta do
- 24:24Speaker 1: what you gotta do, especially if it's you know, a
- 24:27Speaker 1: passion and you're a great content creator. But there's some
- 24:29Speaker 1: people that have kind of faked a charity or faked
- 24:33Speaker 1: an event in their life to get some money, and that's.
- 24:35Speaker 2: Just that's just shitty to do in general. But within
- 24:38Speaker 2: the app.
- 24:38Speaker 1: What you can do is you can buy you can
- 24:40Speaker 1: buy diamonds, you can buy gifts, and you can give
- 24:43Speaker 1: them away. When somebody is alive, you go into a live.
- 24:46Speaker 1: You have the option, all right. For instance, Pineapple Star
- 24:49Speaker 1: is a live and you can put a description when
- 24:51Speaker 1: you go live.
- 24:52Speaker 2: I look like an.
- 24:53Speaker 1: Egg here, derka, derka. So let's go in the live.
- 24:56Speaker 1: This is a little preview. This is Pineapple Star alive.
- 24:59Speaker 1: A little jump while on the podcast nuts bearded fucking beast.
- 25:05Speaker 1: That's me. That's me. I'm the bearded fucking beast. So so,
- 25:11Speaker 1: uh so, as you're there, they obviously can talk to you.
- 25:14Speaker 1: You can't physically talk back, but you can chat. You
- 25:16Speaker 1: can have an interaction typing and as they talk, so
- 25:20Speaker 1: so in here you can then share the lives so
- 25:23Speaker 1: other people know. She thinks you're verys better. So, like
- 25:33Speaker 1: I said, she can talk to me, I can type
- 25:34Speaker 1: back That's what I'm doing. So and then there's a
- 25:37Speaker 1: little gift, so you press the gift. Oh they must
- 25:41Speaker 1: have changed. Oh so the original ones, like it's talking
- 25:47Speaker 1: about the beard challenge that we were talking about earlier.
- 25:49Speaker 1: So the original gifts are Panda, Italian hand Love, Bang,
- 25:53Speaker 1: sun cream, rainbow puke concert. I'm rich, I'm very rich
- 25:56Speaker 1: in a drama queen. They all have a dollar base.
- 25:59Speaker 1: Now there is a little to lollie pop, a lucky cato,
- 26:01Speaker 1: cast down a lucky bag?
- 26:02Speaker 3: My god? Should I do a beard with makeup? Right now?
- 26:05Speaker 3: Tell me yes? Should I do a beard with makeup?
- 26:09Speaker 3: Right this second? Should I? Should? I? Tell me? Tell
- 26:13Speaker 3: me yes, yes. Pere nuts want me to do a
- 26:17Speaker 3: beard with makeup?
- 26:19Speaker 1: She wants to do a beard with makeup? How can
- 26:20Speaker 1: I say one of that? Guys? Now, I'm letting her
- 26:22Speaker 1: know that she's on my pos. Did you ever see
- 26:24Speaker 1: my video with my mess?
- 26:26Speaker 3: She says to the one or whatever his name is.
- 26:30Speaker 1: I didn't see it. I'm sorry I didn't see it.
- 26:32Speaker 3: Pineapple on your podcast?
- 26:34Speaker 1: What do you mean?
- 26:36Speaker 3: What does that mean? I'm on a podcast? Have you
- 26:40Speaker 3: put someone on a podcast? I don't care if I'm
- 26:42Speaker 3: on it. I just want to know how you do it.
- 26:45Speaker 1: I mean you're gonna have.
- 26:46Speaker 3: To listen to a beard on my face?
- 26:50Speaker 1: I don't think she does.
- 26:51Speaker 3: Just give myself a dirty shitch? What like? I'm using
- 26:59Speaker 3: you as an ex example of what not to fucking be? Wait?
- 27:03Speaker 3: What are you using me as an example for Wow,
- 27:07Speaker 3: I feel like I'm using you as an example for
- 27:10Speaker 3: everyone to not be like you.
- 27:13Speaker 1: No, that's that's not what's saying.
- 27:15Speaker 3: Because I'm curious. That's weird. I know you can put
- 27:18Speaker 3: someone on the podcast.
- 27:19Speaker 1: I'll have to explain it to her.
- 27:20Speaker 3: Guys, my voice is being trailed through your podcast.
- 27:25Speaker 1: I have her so confused right now. I'm just gonna
- 27:27Speaker 1: tell Her'm gonna message her. I'm gonna end this. The
- 27:30Speaker 1: gifts are based on a dollar amount TikTok. I think
- 27:34Speaker 1: they take almost like fifty percent, which is pretty crazy.
- 27:37Speaker 1: That's a number that I've heard. I don't know what
- 27:38Speaker 1: the actual percentage is. So if somebody comes in, for instance,
- 27:41Speaker 1: and drops a drama queen, I believe it's a fifty
- 27:43Speaker 1: dollars value because it's the coins translate into a dollar
- 27:48Speaker 1: value obviously, and then when you get the gifts, they
- 27:50Speaker 1: turn into diamonds, and then you can catch the diamonds
- 27:52Speaker 1: and they go.
- 27:53Speaker 2: Directly into your PayPal. So what a lot of people did.
- 27:55Speaker 1: And to get around TikTok is they just started making
- 27:59Speaker 1: paypals and putting them in there. So if people wanted
- 28:02Speaker 1: to donate instead of giving the TikTok currency, they would
- 28:05Speaker 1: do a PayPal So that's kind of what some people
- 28:08Speaker 1: have done. It's it's kind of worked out from them.
- 28:10Speaker 1: It got a little ridiculous. You had popular creators, like
- 28:14Speaker 1: people with millions and millions that were saying, hey, drop
- 28:17Speaker 1: a drama going. Maybe it was one hundred dollars, just
- 28:20Speaker 1: drop these and I'll follow you, drop these and I'll
- 28:22Speaker 1: do a video with you. So you had a lot
- 28:24Speaker 1: of these kids, children using their parents hard earned money,
- 28:28Speaker 1: that were just dropping hundreds and hundreds of hundreds of
- 28:31Speaker 1: dollars just to gain fans.
- 28:32Speaker 2: It's not only children.
- 28:33Speaker 1: I've seen a lot of grown ass adults that it
- 28:36Speaker 1: seems like they're just so obsessed with gaining popularity on
- 28:39Speaker 1: this app.
- 28:40Speaker 2: They just want friends.
- 28:41Speaker 1: They'll do not friends, they want followers and followers and followers.
- 28:44Speaker 2: They want that money.
- 28:45Speaker 1: They go live like I need gifts. They're not appreciated.
- 28:48Speaker 1: They're not they're not mandatory, but they're appreciated and just
- 28:51Speaker 1: just stuff. I mean, there's been people that were that
- 28:54Speaker 1: have raised enough money to buy vehicles, and it's great
- 28:58Speaker 1: that that they're that popular and that people are willing
- 29:00Speaker 1: to help and like good causes I mean, there was
- 29:04Speaker 1: a decent amount of money that came from TikTok, from
- 29:06Speaker 1: Beard Laws, a lot more locally, thankfully, which is amazing
- 29:09Speaker 1: because the money came locally and it's going to stay locally.
- 29:11Speaker 2: You know.
- 29:12Speaker 1: The idea and everything came from TikTok, and everybody you
- 29:15Speaker 1: know can contribute to what they are. It just seems
- 29:19Speaker 1: seems to me demographic wise, there's a lot of people
- 29:21Speaker 1: from Ohio. I don't know what's up with that. I
- 29:24Speaker 1: don't know what's going on in Ohio. Soo high from Ohio,
- 29:28Speaker 1: and there's a lot of kind of like Southern Georgia,
- 29:31Speaker 1: Texas Tennessee area that seems like there's a lot of
- 29:35Speaker 1: people from that as well. The positive outweighs the negative
- 29:38Speaker 1: in the app. So I mean, if you're interested and
- 29:39Speaker 1: you really do want to know more, download a play
- 29:41Speaker 1: around with it. You feel free to friend me, shoot
- 29:44Speaker 1: me a message that. Like I said, on any social media,
- 29:46Speaker 1: you cannot send messages to people unless you follow them,
- 29:50Speaker 1: So you would need to I'd have to follow back,
- 29:52Speaker 1: and if I don't know, here are chances are. Unfortunately
- 29:55Speaker 1: I don't follow as many people back becaus I have
- 29:57Speaker 1: followers just I'm not on the app a lot, and
- 29:59Speaker 1: the the more people you follow on your following page
- 30:02Speaker 1: is content that you see. So I try to control
- 30:05Speaker 1: kind of the content that I do see to the
- 30:07Speaker 1: kind of weird, twisted humor that I have a lot
- 30:10Speaker 1: of times. The for you page is really fucked up
- 30:12Speaker 1: in my opinion most days. So what I do is
- 30:15Speaker 1: I just kind of randomly search through random hashtags and
- 30:17Speaker 1: just kind.
- 30:18Speaker 2: Of find random people, jump into lives.
- 30:20Speaker 1: I mean, you saw there, I jumped into theres recognized
- 30:24Speaker 1: and you know it's instantly beard talk. That's what I'm about.
- 30:27Speaker 1: I want to spread charity cheer through beard Talk and
- 30:32Speaker 1: stuff like that. So yeah, it's been a really positive thing.
- 30:34Speaker 1: It's opened a couple of doors. I'm trying to figure
- 30:37Speaker 1: out how to evolve it obviously through this podcast and
- 30:41Speaker 1: kind of what to do next once once I hit
- 30:44Speaker 1: the goal with beard Laws, I know I'm going to
- 30:45Speaker 1: hit the goal. Between the amazing companies, between the amazing
- 30:49Speaker 1: people individuals and everything that I've contributed, I know that
- 30:52Speaker 1: I'm going to not fail.
- 30:54Speaker 2: We will hit that goal. But I just need I need.
- 30:56Speaker 1: To find what's next for beard Laws, whether it's more
- 30:59Speaker 1: products or whether it's this, well, we'll figure it out.
- 31:02Speaker 1: So obviously, stay tuned, subscribe, follow on Spotify. Whatever is
- 31:07Speaker 1: this podcast, you'll you'll thank me someday hopefully especially. I
- 31:11Speaker 1: mean you found it, whether I've shared it to you
- 31:13Speaker 1: or you've found it because of your love of beard.

- 31:43Speaker 1: always have to be beard related beard Laws. Yes, it's
- 31:46Speaker 1: a brand, so it can be kind of anything that
- 31:50Speaker 1: it needs to be. I'm hoping to have it as
- 31:52Speaker 1: a main brand, have a couple of off brands with
- 31:55Speaker 1: the sister company Sisters for Whiskers. I want to eventually
- 31:58Speaker 1: find somebody that might be able to run with that
- 32:01Speaker 1: brand that really wants to take leadership, has always kind
- 32:04Speaker 1: of wanted to do a podcast that I trust that
- 32:08Speaker 1: can kind of do some work there. An off brand
- 32:10Speaker 1: that myself and my buddy Greg have two Beards, one record.
- 32:13Speaker 1: I think we're gonna try to resurrect that and hopefully
- 32:15Speaker 1: have that as kind of an off brand of this
- 32:17Speaker 1: as well. Just a lot of exciting ideas. Hopefully things
- 32:21Speaker 1: work out. But as you guys know, with a lot
- 32:23Speaker 1: of hard work, dedication, some time, a little bit of money,
- 32:27Speaker 1: things will go. Hopefully the dream will come true. Another
- 32:30Speaker 1: quick shout out though to my graphics, my logo buddy
- 32:34Speaker 1: John jkh Creative. He's on Facebook. Feel free to contact
- 32:39Speaker 1: them if you're looking for any graphic work. He can

- 32:45Speaker 1: make you a T shirt, make you a logo, make
- 32:48Speaker 1: you whatever it is. The guy's amazing. I'm not just
- 32:51Speaker 1: saying it because he's my friend. I tell him to
- 32:53Speaker 1: his face if he was terrible. He's done all the
- 32:54Speaker 1: work for Beard Laws for two beards, one record, a
- 32:57Speaker 1: lot of cool stuff. He's a great dude. Hit him up,
- 33:00Speaker 1: tell them Beard Laws sent you. But yeah, if anybody
- 33:02Speaker 1: is looking for an interview any social media at at
- 33:04Speaker 1: beard laws dot com. Feel free to hit me up
- 33:07Speaker 1: and hopefully, hopefully we have some cool things coming up.
- 33:10Speaker 1: Like I said, stay tuned there there's a couple of
- 33:12Speaker 1: great ideas that that I really hope pan out. You
- 33:15Speaker 1: guys will like it. I'll like it. I'll love it.
- 33:17Speaker 1: Actually gonna jump over to the to the Bearded Villains.
- 33:21Speaker 1: Just wanted to give them a shout out. I talked
- 33:23Speaker 1: about a little bit in episode one, but there is
- 33:26Speaker 1: a world meetup that's happening August second through the fourth.
- 33:29Speaker 1: I had every intention of going, but it turns out
- 33:31Speaker 1: I have a wedding, I mean a mission statement.
- 33:32Speaker 2: You can check out Bearded Villains dot com.
- 33:34Speaker 1: B E R D E D B E r d
- 33:37Speaker 1: E d V I L A I N S dot com.
- 33:41Speaker 1: They got some cool merch. I got a shirt come
- 33:43Speaker 1: in rocket. A lot of them are on Instagram, so
- 33:45Speaker 1: if you just hit the hashtag you'll see a ton
- 33:47Speaker 1: of bearded dudes. You can follow me. I know beard
- 33:50Speaker 1: Laws itself on Instagram follows a decent amount of the
- 33:53Speaker 1: members as well, But to kind of get into the
- 33:56Speaker 1: membership and through Instagram, you need to go through some stuff.
- 33:59Speaker 1: It's not like some of these bearded clubs where you
- 34:05Speaker 1: can just pay a membership fee or you can you know,
- 34:09Speaker 1: join it for free. With these guys that I mean,
- 34:11Speaker 1: they have an actual they have rules, they have you know,
- 34:15Speaker 1: a process you put in. You try to find a scout,
- 34:19Speaker 1: you try to get noticed. Then a scout will hit
- 34:21Speaker 1: you up. You'll become a Bearded Villains Hopeful be hopeful Hopeful.
- 34:25Speaker 1: You can check out that hashtag on Instagram as well
- 34:27Speaker 1: see some of the hopefuls I go through there. I
- 34:30Speaker 1: try to like and share some of the stuff from
- 34:32Speaker 1: the hopefuls because it wasn't too long ago. I was one,
- 34:35Speaker 1: Not that you know I've been a member for that long,
- 34:37Speaker 1: but I was a member for a.
- 34:38Speaker 2: Couple of hopeful for a couple of weeks.
- 34:40Speaker 1: Recently got a message from the Bearded Villains sent me
- 34:43Speaker 1: a message on June twenty fifth. What they do is
- 34:45Speaker 1: they send you a patch, their patch with your name
- 34:48Speaker 1: and pretty much just say you earned your first patch
- 34:51Speaker 1: and our brotherhood, the largest beard club in the world,
- 34:53Speaker 1: Welcome Bearded Villain. Where this patch proudly and obviously tag
- 34:56Speaker 1: Bearded Villains. And you know there's some other stuff that's
- 34:59Speaker 1: in there that I'm going to keep out of this,
- 35:00Speaker 1: But yeah, I was. I was proudest could be to
- 35:03Speaker 1: get that. Their mission statements to unite bearded men of
- 35:06Speaker 1: all cultures, races, creed, and sexuality and a brotherhood devoted
- 35:10Speaker 1: to loyalty, honor, and respect toward all people, dedicated to
- 35:13Speaker 1: the betterment of mankind through fraternity, charity and kindness. I mean,
- 35:17Speaker 1: I see that mission statement, I want it. It's the worldness,
- 35:20Speaker 1: world's largest brotherhood of elite bearded men all over the world.
- 35:24Speaker 1: You know, they're a fraternity for charity and kindness. I mean,
- 35:28Speaker 1: they want a better people. It just it couldn't have
- 35:31Speaker 1: been more of a better fit in my opinion. Really
- 35:35Speaker 1: wish that I could have made it out to the world.
- 35:36Speaker 1: Meetups don't meet a lot of people, but I've made
- 35:39Speaker 1: some good contacts in a Pennsylvania area and a couple
- 35:41Speaker 1: other Maryland area. So hopefully I can on my travels
- 35:45Speaker 1: meet up with some people, meet some guys, you know,
- 35:47Speaker 1: do a cool little photo op stuff like that.
- 35:50Speaker 2: So yeah, so Beard of Villains, check them out.
- 35:54Speaker 1: Once I get the new shirt, check it out on Instagram.
- 35:57Speaker 1: I'm gonna throw that out there. They do some cool stuff.
- 35:59Speaker 1: Every Friday is far like Friday raise a flag, you know,
- 36:02Speaker 1: just you know, for the United for you know everything.
- 36:05Speaker 1: And there's just some some creative graphical guys, some guys
- 36:10Speaker 1: that come up with some cool things. I like to
- 36:11Speaker 1: repost those eventually. Maybe I'll have some time, maybe have
- 36:15Speaker 1: my buddy jkhe creative check them out of Facebook.
- 36:18Speaker 2: Maybe make a cool thing or something. Yeah, so that's
- 36:20Speaker 2: Beard of Villains.
- 36:20Speaker 1: Check them out. Proud to be a member since June
- 36:23Speaker 1: twenty fifth, a little less than a month.
- 36:24Speaker 2: As I mentioned a.
- 36:25Speaker 1: Little earlier, Beard Law's donation. Kind of waiting on a
- 36:29Speaker 1: couple of things to pan out. I just wanted to
- 36:32Speaker 1: in each episode until the donation hits, I want to
- 36:34Speaker 1: just kind of give a Beard Law's donation. Update. Twenty
- 36:36Speaker 1: seven hundred and one dollars has already been donated. That
- 36:39Speaker 1: was from the motorcycle run merch sales, and a couple
- 36:42Speaker 1: of bigger donations are still pending. I do have donation
- 36:45Speaker 1: money from other people, So the goal is seventy four hundred.
- 36:50Speaker 1: I'm gonna if I had to guess, i'd probably say
- 36:55Speaker 1: really close to that. I don't have a number without
- 36:57Speaker 1: pulling up the information that is given because National Grid
- 37:03Speaker 1: was going to gi him money. I don't know the
- 37:04Speaker 1: dollar amount Mooslodge is gonna give five hundred. I gotta
- 37:06Speaker 1: make sure that pans out in the local Pepsi distribution
- 37:10Speaker 1: it's supposed to get back to me. I don't have
- 37:12Speaker 1: a quite dollar amount of that, but once I do,
- 37:14Speaker 1: we're gonna get this donated, give you guys an update,
- 37:17Speaker 1: and then there's gonna be some stuff all over social
- 37:20Speaker 1: media for the update, and a couple of pictures and
- 37:22Speaker 1: stuff like that, and hopefully a nice little dedication piece,
- 37:26Speaker 1: because obviously my main motivation was my little brother who
- 37:30Speaker 1: beat cancer twice. So hopefully he's able to make kind
- 37:33Speaker 1: of the photo op and take a couple of pictures.
- 37:35Speaker 1: If not, he's gonna at least get a shout out
- 37:37Speaker 1: for me. He's probably not gonna listen to this, so
- 37:39Speaker 1: we're cool. You can go ahead and tell him so. Normally,
- 37:43Speaker 1: I would like to do like a little segment about sports,
- 37:46Speaker 1: whether it's beard in sports, what's going on in sports,
- 37:49Speaker 1: what's going crazy? I'm working on trying to get an
- 37:52Speaker 1: actual guy to do a sports section for me, whether
- 37:56Speaker 1: he's here and kind of helps co host or maybe
- 38:00Speaker 1: just he can submit some audio files. So I'm gonna
- 38:03Speaker 1: save this spot open for him, and if he doesn't,
- 38:07Speaker 1: then I'm just gonna probably skip this and either delete
- 38:10Speaker 1: it or just let you guys know that there's gonna
- 38:12Speaker 1: be a sports pot because beards and sports.
- 38:14Speaker 2: They go together like spaghetti and meatballs, you know what
- 38:16Speaker 2: I mean.
- 38:17Speaker 1: So yeah, so I'm gonna leave the spot open. Hopefully
- 38:20Speaker 1: he's able to come up with it. If not, no worries. Also,
- 38:23Speaker 1: like I said, my buddy that Greg, that we do
- 38:26Speaker 1: two beers one record. He's going to help with some
- 38:28Speaker 1: intro music. And also, if you guys want to be
- 38:31Speaker 1: a part of an ad, part of some sponsorships, please
- 38:33Speaker 1: let me know myself. You anybody who have in mind,
- 38:36Speaker 1: can record a segment, hit up a little sponsorship fee,
- 38:40Speaker 1: and we can throw the sponsorships into the episodes. If
- 38:43Speaker 1: you're interested in doing that. Matt at beard Laws dot com,
- 38:46Speaker 1: I will be very negotiable. If you are a friend
- 38:49Speaker 1: or a family member, you get the friend and family
- 38:52Speaker 1: member discount the rest of you. Especially if I like
- 38:54Speaker 1: it and it's Beard related, we'll.
- 38:56Speaker 2: Make it worth it.
- 38:57Speaker 1: Maybe maybe some companies out there we can trade some
- 39:00Speaker 1: some product.
- 39:01Speaker 2: For some sponsorship, some ads.
- 39:03Speaker 1: That's a pretty fair trade, right. The next segment that
- 39:07Speaker 1: we are going to talk about is beard news. Every episode,
- 39:10Speaker 1: as you know, I pick a couple of articles about
- 39:13Speaker 1: beards that are you know, prevalent in the world and
- 39:18Speaker 1: that I find fascinating, that I find interesting but beard related,
- 39:21Speaker 1: hence beard news.
- 39:24Speaker 2: So the first article that.
- 39:25Speaker 1: Caught my eye the other day when I was looking
- 39:28Speaker 1: was a mom who grew a beard after giving birth
- 39:31Speaker 1: is finally cured after seven years, which I mean, my
- 39:36Speaker 1: beard's like fifteen sixteen months old, and that's pretty good.
- 39:39Speaker 1: I couldn't imagine being this, this poor mother that you know,
- 39:44Speaker 1: people are cruel, that looked and probably you know, made
- 39:47Speaker 1: her life somewhat miserable. So, uh, I'm gonna butcher this name.
- 39:52Speaker 1: Holy shit, set Svedlana seven.
- 39:58Speaker 2: Fuck sech Gova thirty three.
- 40:02Speaker 1: Sorry about your name, Sevelenta. I butchered it. Somebody can
- 40:07Speaker 1: say it better. Please let me know and I'll take
- 40:09Speaker 1: out my terrible butchering audio put in yours and it'll
- 40:12Speaker 1: make it sound like really cool. But she suffered from
- 40:16Speaker 1: serious her another fancy word. I am not medical. I
- 40:20Speaker 1: work at a hospital. These medical terms, they really get me.
- 40:23Speaker 1: Her suitism for years and grew an unwanted beard after
- 40:26Speaker 1: giving birth to her now seven year old son. She
- 40:29Speaker 1: grew a beard after giving birth, and it was finally
- 40:32Speaker 1: cured after living with the condition for seven years.
- 40:35Speaker 2: She's from Russia. If you couldn't tell.
- 40:37Speaker 1: By the name, I could, but I also read the
- 40:40Speaker 1: article earlier, so but it just screams Russian. So she
- 40:44Speaker 1: I mean, obviously, after she gave birth, she noticed that,
- 40:46Speaker 1: you know, she had some abnormal facial hair.
- 40:50Speaker 2: She's like, hey, I'm pregnant.
- 40:51Speaker 1: Maybe maybe it just kind of something from hormones or
- 40:54Speaker 1: being pregnant or whatever. I don't know. Not a doctor,
- 40:57Speaker 1: I just work with them. So she went, you know,
- 40:59Speaker 1: she tried to get some medical help. Another medication helped,
- 41:02Speaker 1: and it just kind of kept getting worse, you know.
- 41:07Speaker 1: And apparently this condition, the hears hersidism h I R
- 41:13Speaker 1: S U T I s M, it stems from access
- 41:16Speaker 1: obviously male hormones, from an underlying andro endo Christian oh,
- 41:21Speaker 1: some kind of imbalance, you know. I don't know.
- 41:24Speaker 2: It's always a dude's fault, isn't it.
- 41:26Speaker 1: But a lot of the doctors apparently told her that
- 41:29Speaker 1: there was just nothing she could do. She just kind
- 41:31Speaker 1: of had to live with it. And what I can
- 41:34Speaker 1: do too is I can send the link. The article
- 41:38Speaker 1: was on Mirror dot co dot uk, so if you
- 41:41Speaker 1: want to check it out there, or what I can
- 41:43Speaker 1: try to do is on social media. When the podcast
- 41:45Speaker 1: is released, I will attach some links to these news
- 41:47Speaker 1: articles if you want to hear more. Yeah, I mean
- 41:49Speaker 1: I just couldn't imagine this poor mother dealing with us
- 41:51Speaker 1: for seven years. I mean, she felt ashamed. You know,
- 41:54Speaker 1: she often wore a face mask at home and just
- 41:57Speaker 1: wouldn't let her son touch her her face because it
- 42:00Speaker 1: was bearded. The question is I want to know I
- 42:03Speaker 1: wonder if the husband had a beard, because yeah, or
- 42:08Speaker 1: maybe there wasn't a husband or doing involved. I guess
- 42:10Speaker 1: the shouldn't ump to that. That's my ben forgot. It's
- 42:12Speaker 1: like twenty twenty nineteen. Oh yeah, every year this, I mean,
- 42:15Speaker 1: this poor kiddy, you know, he wouldn't kiss his mom.
- 42:17Speaker 1: The older he got, it was more disgusting. You know,
- 42:20Speaker 1: kids are kind of asshole. So she kind of felt
- 42:22Speaker 1: embarrassed and thought the family'd fall apart and okay, yeah,
- 42:26Speaker 1: you're right here. Yeah, so she was encouraged by her
- 42:28Speaker 1: husband and they went out. She actually went on a
- 42:31Speaker 1: TV medical show called I'm Ashamed of My Body to
- 42:34Speaker 1: get rid of this, and she went under a whole
- 42:37Speaker 1: bunch of medical treatments, the whole medical team. They tried
- 42:41Speaker 1: laser therapy and all this other kind of treatment. She
- 42:44Speaker 1: was put on all these different steroids for like a
- 42:47Speaker 1: year and it Shannaf losing I guess thirty pounds is
- 42:51Speaker 1: from all these different steroids. And you know, since they
- 42:56Speaker 1: went on the show, obviously she's lost some weight. It's
- 42:59Speaker 1: been ceard and you know, there had to be a
- 43:02Speaker 1: lot of stress on this poor woman. You know, the husband,
- 43:06Speaker 1: you know, give him a lot of props. I mean,
- 43:07Speaker 1: how many great dudes and love would you know, be
- 43:11Speaker 1: that supportive help to get her on the TV show
- 43:13Speaker 1: to get the proper treatment. And yeah, that I couldn't imagine.
- 43:18Speaker 1: That's very very stressful, very very unique. I mean, I'm
- 43:23Speaker 1: sure it happens more often, and thankfully it made a
- 43:26Speaker 1: story and a positive impact. But yeah, that's some crazy
- 43:30Speaker 1: beard news right there. Also, oh Live Bearded came out
- 43:34Speaker 1: with a cool little YouTube video about summer summer tips,
- 43:41Speaker 1: summer treatment. You know, the whole myth of shaving your
- 43:45Speaker 1: beard because it's summertime and you're going to be too hot,
- 43:50Speaker 1: which is you know, another beard love beard lot number
- 43:53Speaker 1: eighty four, I Askedn't a beard lot number eighty four?
- 43:56Speaker 1: I get asked often doesn't that beard make you hot
- 43:58Speaker 1: in the summer. Doesn't make me hot in the summer.
- 44:01Speaker 1: It makes me hot all year round, naturally, I commented
- 44:04Speaker 1: on the video. It's the featured comment on there with
- 44:08Speaker 1: about twenty nine twenty nine likes in the actual company.
- 44:13Speaker 1: Live Bearded responded, Haha, hey got them, so that was
- 44:17Speaker 1: pretty cool. But yeah, they just give tips on a
- 44:20Speaker 1: lot of thoughts that I've had for years, how a
- 44:21Speaker 1: beard reflects the heat and absorbs it and actually keeps
- 44:25Speaker 1: it off your face, and a little bit of tips,
- 44:27Speaker 1: a little bit of stuff. So go ahead and check
- 44:29Speaker 1: them out Live bearded. It was published on July eleventh,
- 44:32Speaker 1: twenty nineteen. Like I said, I'll try to get a
- 44:34Speaker 1: link when this is. When this is out there, I'll
- 44:35Speaker 1: put it in the description. And it's just why you
- 44:37Speaker 1: should grow a beard in the summer. Not exactly beard news,
- 44:40Speaker 1: but it was definitely something that kind of caught my
- 44:43Speaker 1: eye that I wanted to share with you guys a
- 44:44Speaker 1: bunch of great tips. Yeah, check it out Live Bearded YouTube.
- 44:47Speaker 1: Check out the article and also pop culture slash Celebrity
- 44:52Speaker 1: beer news. Daniel Radcliffe has a giant beard and Harry
- 44:57Speaker 1: Potter fans they have thoughts, got it. I don't know
- 45:00Speaker 1: shit about Harry Potter. Never seen Harry Potter, don't really
- 45:03Speaker 1: know who Daniel is. I'm guessing he's Harry Potter from
- 45:06Speaker 1: the article. So, but he's got a big beard, and
- 45:09Speaker 1: there's traffic and people are talking about so I feel
- 45:11Speaker 1: like we should talk about it. So apparently he was
- 45:14Speaker 1: almost unrecognizable on the set of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, where
- 45:18Speaker 1: he sports a long, bushy beard. The twenty nine year
- 45:22Speaker 1: old Oh Harry Potter.
- 45:23Speaker 2: Yeah, he was Harry Potter.
- 45:24Speaker 1: He was photographed, you know, with his whole suit and
- 45:27Speaker 1: everything on in New York City.
- 45:29Speaker 2: I don't know if it's an actual.
- 45:31Speaker 1: Real beard. Obviously, he's got to be part of his
- 45:34Speaker 1: character on this show. Hopefully it's a real beard. Though,
- 45:37Speaker 1: I mean beard, I'm brother. Like I said, I've never
- 45:39Speaker 1: seen Harry Potter, but shit, yeah, rock that beard man.
- 45:45Speaker 1: Make us proud? Do a Harry Potter movie rocking a beard.
- 45:49Speaker 1: Has that allowed Harry Potter fans, very hairy Potter fan
- 45:52Speaker 1: let me know if that's allowed. Mattabeard lost dot com
- 45:55Speaker 1: And that was actually reported on Twitter with the Harry
- 45:58Speaker 1: Potter dude with the beard. The beard Agent didn't know
- 46:03Speaker 1: that was a thing.
- 46:03Speaker 2: The beard Agent.
- 46:04Speaker 1: I'm following. You know, you have four thousand and nine
- 46:07Speaker 1: followers because of me boo. Yeah, So that pretty much
- 46:11Speaker 1: concludes it for your beerd News.
- 46:13Speaker 2: If you have a featured art.
- 46:14Speaker 1: Or if you have an article that you want to
- 46:16Speaker 1: be featured in Beard News, feel free to email or
- 46:19Speaker 1: in social media, you know, all the ones that I
- 46:21Speaker 1: keep talking about. I'm sorry if I'm annoying you, but
- 46:24Speaker 1: I gotta get that shit out there. You know, we
- 46:25Speaker 1: got to get the followers, we got to get the traffic,
- 46:26Speaker 1: We got to get beard laws going for the cause.
- 46:30Speaker 1: New feature that on the podcast that I want to
- 46:33Speaker 1: kind of start and see how it goes, see if
- 46:35Speaker 1: there's any traction. I want to do a featured Beard
- 46:37Speaker 1: of the day. So each episode I want to start
- 46:41Speaker 1: featuring a beard, whether it's somebody historical, whether it's somebody present,
- 46:45Speaker 1: whether it's somebody in the news, whether it's somebody you
- 46:47Speaker 1: don't know, whether somebody everybody knows. I just want to
- 46:51Speaker 1: start doing a featured beerd the day, talk about the
- 46:53Speaker 1: person you know on on Instagram, Twitter, all that good stuff. When,
- 46:58Speaker 1: like I said a million times when I posted the podcast,
- 47:00Speaker 1: there'll be a link, we'll get a picture. You're not
- 47:02Speaker 1: gonna need a picture. You're not gonna need any research
- 47:04Speaker 1: on the first feature beard because it's Abraham Lincoln. I
- 47:08Speaker 1: got followed by somebody on Instagram today that said Abraham Lincoln.
- 47:12Speaker 1: And then I got this idea, like, shit, he's got
- 47:14Speaker 1: a beard. How do we work this into the podcast?
- 47:17Speaker 1: And baem, let's have a featured beard of the day.
- 47:20Speaker 1: So hey, Abraham Lincoln, your future Beard of the day.
- 47:24Speaker 1: So it was the fall hm eighteen sixty. Let me
- 47:27Speaker 1: bring it back just a couple of years. Twenty something
- 47:29Speaker 1: years later the house I live in was actually built.
- 47:31Speaker 1: Abraham Lincoln was a Republican nominee for President of the
- 47:34Speaker 1: United States. Election day was less than a month away.
- 47:37Speaker 1: Mister Lincoln a lifelong beardless man. It's true he had
- 47:40Speaker 1: some wicked cheek bones. Just google Lincoln before a beard
- 47:44Speaker 1: received a letter written by Grace Biddell, an eleven year
- 47:47Speaker 1: old girl from Westfield, New York. Written October fifteenth, eighteen sixty.
- 47:52Speaker 1: The letter urged him to grow a beard. Unedited, Missus
- 47:55Speaker 1: Beddell's letter read, I'm gonna read it to you guys.
- 47:58Speaker 1: That's cool, hopefully don't butcher it. But I'm pretty I
- 48:00Speaker 1: could read an eleven year old. This has got to
- 48:02Speaker 1: be one of the smartest eleven year olds. Like, what
- 48:06Speaker 1: a brilliant idea. And it just shows like, could you
- 48:08Speaker 1: imagine right now trying to have an eleven year old
- 48:12Speaker 1: get a message to our president. Yes, I know it's
- 48:15Speaker 1: many many moons later in technology, but I can't imagine
- 48:19Speaker 1: our President Trump getting a letter from an eleven year
- 48:22Speaker 1: old and actually growing a beard out. But let's read
- 48:25Speaker 1: her letter. Dear sir, my father has just got home
- 48:28Speaker 1: from the fair and brought home your picture in mister
- 48:31Speaker 1: Hamlin's I'm a little girl only eleven years old, but
- 48:35Speaker 1: why you should be president of the United States very
- 48:38Speaker 1: much so, I hope you won't think me very bold
- 48:40Speaker 1: to write such a great man as you are. Have
- 48:43Speaker 1: you any little girls about as large as I am?
- 48:46Speaker 1: If so, give them my love and tell her to
- 48:48Speaker 1: write to me if you cannot answer this letter. I
- 48:51Speaker 1: have got four brothers, and part of them will vote
- 48:53Speaker 1: for you anyway. And if you let your whiskers girl,
- 48:56Speaker 1: I will try and get the rest of them to
- 48:57Speaker 1: vote for you. You would look great. You would look a
- 49:02Speaker 1: great deal better, for your face is so thin. All
- 49:05Speaker 1: the ladies like whiskers, and they would tease their husbands
- 49:08Speaker 1: to vote for you, and then you would be the president.
- 49:11Speaker 1: My father is going to vote for you, and if
- 49:13Speaker 1: I was a man, I would vote for you too.
- 49:15Speaker 1: But I will try to get everyone to vote for you.
- 49:18Speaker 1: That I can think. That rail fence around your picture
- 49:21Speaker 1: makes it look very pretty. I've got a little baby's sister.
- 49:24Speaker 1: She's nine weeks old and just as cunning as can be.
- 49:27Speaker 1: When you direct your letter direct to Grace Badell, Westfield,
- 49:32Speaker 1: Chteke County, New York, I must not write anymore. Answer
- 49:37Speaker 1: this letter right off. Goodbye, Grace. That's that's pretty good.
- 49:43Speaker 1: Like She's right, all.
- 49:46Speaker 2: The ladies like whiskers.
- 49:48Speaker 1: I'm gonna put that on a quote. Maybe I'm gonna
- 49:49Speaker 1: even put that on a T shirt. Grace Biddell going
- 49:52Speaker 1: on record, all the ladies like whiskers. That would be
- 49:55Speaker 1: a great T shirt. Bam all right, So the Republican
- 50:00Speaker 1: President Shilnaminee responded on October nineteenth. His letter to Grace
- 50:04Speaker 1: read as follows, Miss Grace Bedell, my dear little miss,
- 50:08Speaker 1: your very agreeable letter of the fifteenth is received. I
- 50:12Speaker 1: regret the necessity of saying I have no daughters. I
- 50:15Speaker 1: have three sons, one seventeen, one to nine, and one
- 50:17Speaker 1: seven years of age. They would their mother constitute my
- 50:20Speaker 1: whole family. As to the whiskers, having never worn any,
- 50:24Speaker 1: do you not think people would call it a piece
- 50:26Speaker 1: of silly affection if I were begin to it. Now,
- 50:30Speaker 1: you're very sincere, Well wisher A. Lincoln. The rest is history.
- 50:34Speaker 1: Abraham Lincoln left Springfield on February eleventh, bound for the
- 50:38Speaker 1: White House. He was fully bearded.
- 50:41Speaker 2: On February sixteenth, the train stopped in Westfield, New York.
- 50:44Speaker 1: The President elect appeared on the train platform and called
- 50:48Speaker 1: out for Grace. Grace was in the crowd with her
- 50:50Speaker 1: two sisters of Lisa and Helen. She came forth. Lincoln
- 50:53Speaker 1: kissed her and said he took her advice. Apparently there's
- 50:57Speaker 1: a photograph that was in eighteen sixty three. Grace was fourteen,
- 51:00Speaker 1: and yeah, the rest is history today. The letter that
- 51:06Speaker 1: she wrote, the original one, is in the Burton Historical
- 51:10Speaker 1: Collection of the Detroit Public Library. It was offered in
- 51:14Speaker 1: the early nineteen to sell for a million dollars. A
- 51:17Speaker 1: private collector who wishes to remain anonymous now owns that letter.
- 51:21Speaker 1: That is crazy, absolutely crazy. So in nineteen ninety nine
- 51:26Speaker 1: Westfield erected these statues to honor Abraham and Grace. It's
- 51:32Speaker 1: just a statue of Abraham Lincoln took his head off,
- 51:34Speaker 1: looks like he's going to shake her hand. Just a
- 51:38Speaker 1: great story. And now we got a beard lot of it.
- 51:42Speaker 1: It's going to be the Grace Beard law. I forget
- 51:45Speaker 1: what number it's going to be, And hopefully we're going
- 51:46Speaker 1: to get that on the T shirt because actually I'm
- 51:49Speaker 1: probably gonna have to find out if it's copyright, So
- 51:51Speaker 1: scratch it T shirt idea for now. So, everybody that
- 51:54Speaker 1: concludes the episode, I want to thank everybody for listening.
- 51:57Speaker 1: If you made it all this way, thank you so much.
- 51:59Speaker 1: I've made it through this entire episode pretty much staring
- 52:02Speaker 1: at a box of cheese. Its the white cheddar kind.
- 52:05Speaker 1: They're my favorite. I have not reached in and had
- 52:07Speaker 1: one cheese. I feel like that's a feat in its
- 52:10Speaker 1: own But seriously, thank you guys very much. Hopefully Episode
