  Speaker 5: mini camp that was good to see. Made me feel

  Speaker 5: a little bit better about that. I thought Justin Reid

  Speaker 5: was maybe the most I don't know, splashy as player

  Speaker 5: over the two days. You know, just kind of the

  Speaker 5: way he moves these things, crashes down in the platts,

  Speaker 5: you know, this vision based defense. I think it's gonna

  Speaker 5: be really good for him and the way he plays.

  Speaker 5: So I think that's something that set out. And then

  Speaker 5: zone period, which was something that that's really good to see.

  Speaker 5: I mean, I think he's he's highly important to just

  Speaker 5: the overall health of the franchise now and into the future.

  Speaker 5: So a couple of decent, little, you know, optimistic things

  Speaker 5: to hang on to heading into the off season.

  Speaker 6: Big. How's the when I look at offense, like trying
• 2:59
  Speaker 6: to we would always judge like how an offense is

  Speaker 6: doing in like an Ota mini camp early training camp

  Speaker 6: by kind of the rhythm like quarterbacks throwing on time,
• 3:08
  Speaker 6: but really like a completion percentage, you can't really judge
• 3:11
  Speaker 6: it based off big plays a lot touchdowns like throwing
• 3:15
  Speaker 6: during practice because you're not tracking yards a lot of
• 3:17
  Speaker 6: times in these training the defense is learning too, so
• 3:20
  Speaker 6: there's a lot of defensive mistakes as well that you
• 3:22
  Speaker 6: can take advantage of them, like the offensive play will
• 3:24
  Speaker 6: look better than it might have actually supposed to have been.

  Speaker 6: So ill look at like timing completion percentage. Is that
• 3:30
  Speaker 6: something that you tracked or noticed that I was like,
• 3:32
  Speaker 6: all right, these guys are getting the ball in and
• 3:34
  Speaker 6: out of their hands, are going through their reads quickly,
• 3:36
  Speaker 6: getting the check down, and also you tracking kind of
• 3:39
  Speaker 6: like that overall completion you know, maybe not exact percentage,
• 3:42
  Speaker 6: but kind of in your head like this guy's you know,
• 3:44
  Speaker 6: got four or five in a row and he's he's
• 3:46
  Speaker 6: doing it's looking smooth.

  Speaker 5: Oh no, we got exact everything we got on our website.

  Speaker 5: You can go look at the quadrants. Uh yeah. I

  Speaker 5: mean Rattler throws out I think with a little bit
• 3:57
  Speaker 5: more rhythm. I think that's kind of a big thing,

  Speaker 5: and I think it kind of shows up just over
• 4:01
  Speaker 5: the middle of the field too, like in that just
• 4:03
  Speaker 5: in rhythm up the seems attack of the middle, seeing
• 4:05
  Speaker 5: things quickly. I mean Rattler's kind of dressing up that
• 4:08
  Speaker 5: middle area of the field and shuck kind of more
• 4:11
  Speaker 5: he likes to roll out a little bit and there's
• 4:13
  Speaker 5: not as much over the middle, and I kind of
• 4:14
  Speaker 5: feel like that that was where I felt like Rattler
• 4:16
  Speaker 5: had the big advantage, and that was kind of where
• 4:19
  Speaker 5: I saw improvement with Shuck though over time. Like the
• 4:22
  Speaker 5: in the OTAs it felt like and when he was
• 4:24
  Speaker 5: rolling out, I felt like it was almost always to
• 4:26
  Speaker 5: the left, and it just felt like there was a
• 4:28
  Speaker 5: lot of that, and then in mini camp there's a
• 4:30
  Speaker 5: little bit more quicker stuff happening over the middle. But
• 4:33
  Speaker 5: Rattler forty five for fifty nine over the five practices
• 4:36
  Speaker 5: that we saw one pick, Shuck forty four for fifty nine,
• 4:39
  Speaker 5: one pick over over those same practices. So I mean
• 4:42
  Speaker 5: this thing is basically the same. Now Shuck has a
• 4:46
  Speaker 5: little bit more down the field. You know, zero at
• 4:50
  Speaker 5: the time left him right like he's really dressing that up.

  Speaker 5: But yeah, I thought I thought Spencer was better over
• 4:56
  Speaker 5: the middle. Shuck didn't complete a single patch between ten
• 4:59
  Speaker 5: to twenty yards over the midd Rattler had three. Kind
• 5:01
  Speaker 5: of attacking them seems a little bit so like just
• 5:03
  Speaker 5: kind of the way they're going at it is a
• 5:04
  Speaker 5: little bit different, and that's kind of seeing like when
• 5:07
  Speaker 5: he's seeing it fast and getting it out like that,

  Speaker 5: that's where I think he's he's really really good, you know. Interestingly,

  Speaker 5: one other thing is just the big takeaways. Second highest
• 5:19
  Speaker 5: targeted guys, second highest completions. Juwan Johnson on both of those,
• 5:24
  Speaker 5: right behind Rashid Hied nine nine catches on eleven targets.

  Speaker 5: I think that's a little bit of a reason for
• 5:29
  Speaker 5: optimism too. I mean, I'm kind of beyond the on
• 5:32
  Speaker 5: top potential thing with him, but I do think that
• 5:35
  Speaker 5: him and Derek Carr didn't necessarily gel coalesce the way
• 5:39
  Speaker 5: you would want to see him. And I think, you know,
• 5:42
  Speaker 5: after Carr got hurt last year, Juwan came to life
• 5:44
  Speaker 5: a little bit. Maybe there's that little bit of like,
• 5:47
  Speaker 5: you know, if he can give you four catches forty
• 5:49
  Speaker 5: yards every single week, I mean, I think that would
• 5:51
  Speaker 5: be a huge benefit of the offense. He was kind
• 5:53
  Speaker 5: of the guy that stood out the most to me,
• 5:56
  Speaker 5: and it was it was six targets from Rattler, five
• 6:00
  Speaker 5: from Shock pretty even split. So like it isn't like
• 6:02
  Speaker 5: he was benefiting from one guy over the other. Just
• 6:05
  Speaker 5: like a really consistent, you know, five days of practice
• 6:09
  Speaker 5: out of him, And I think that's the key with
• 6:11
  Speaker 5: him is just kind of fine and not consistency.
• 6:13
  Speaker 6: And Nick, let me tell you, like when you're when
• 6:15
  Speaker 6: you're evaluating quarterbacks in a practice situation and trying to like,
• 6:19
  Speaker 6: you know, who's looking better, who's looking smoother, it's not
• 6:21
  Speaker 6: always necessarily about completion percentage, although you definitely want it
• 6:24
  Speaker 6: to be high. It can be a red flag if
• 6:25
  Speaker 6: it's not. Yeah, what you've already talked about and discussed
• 6:29
  Speaker 6: about how what Spencer's doing and what Chuck is getting
• 6:32
  Speaker 6: to is the fastest way to the end zone is
• 6:35
  Speaker 6: over the middle. That is a quarterback's philosophy. That's a
• 6:38
  Speaker 6: that's a play callers philosophy. That's the fastest way to
• 6:41
  Speaker 6: get a ball into the end zone is over the middle.

  Speaker 6: So when you look, I always think quarterbacks are ahead,
• 6:46
  Speaker 6: at least mentally or like from a comfort level within
• 6:49
  Speaker 6: the offense is how they're attacking the middle of the field.

  Speaker 6: And especially what you just the intermediate intermediate linked routes.

  Speaker 6: If you have a guy that's consistently seeing it hidden
• 7:00
  Speaker 6: completing it, that is that's a huge it's a huge
• 7:04
  Speaker 6: green flag for me when I'm trying to evaluate a
• 7:07
  Speaker 6: quarterback is how how much he's taking advantage of that
• 7:10
  Speaker 6: metal And it's impossible for a young guy to do that,
• 7:12
  Speaker 6: So Shuck getting better at that. That's something to watch for,
• 7:16
  Speaker 6: is how's his completions over the middle going forward? And
• 7:19
  Speaker 6: I guess with that being said, you kind of answer
• 7:21
  Speaker 6: my question about who that number two receiver was coming.
• 7:24
  Speaker 6: But I guess I'll kind of flip it around. Say,
• 7:26
  Speaker 6: within this new offense with Kellen Moore, a big part
• 7:29
  Speaker 6: of throwing the ball over the middle is it could
• 7:32
  Speaker 6: be a tight end. How are they utilizing a tight end?
• 7:34
  Speaker 6: How's that position looking right now?
• 7:37
  Speaker 5: It's the biggest thing that stood out to me throughout
• 7:39
  Speaker 5: this Really it kind of felt empty going into it.
• 7:42
  Speaker 5: And I'm not, you know, declaring anything here. I'm not
• 7:46
  Speaker 5: ready to say they got that position answered or anything
• 7:48
  Speaker 5: like that. But those guys consistently down the chart. It
• 7:53
  Speaker 5: was the biggest surprise to anything. Jack Stoll, he was
• 7:56
  Speaker 5: someone that stood out a lot. They brought him in Philly.

  Speaker 5: Six targets, six catches, kind of a hand pick guy there,
• 8:03
  Speaker 5: I think, more of a blocker than a receiver. But
• 8:06
  Speaker 5: the fact that they kind of targeted on Broadimrey, you know,
• 8:09
  Speaker 5: said something. He stands out as a pretty decent little
• 8:12
  Speaker 5: summer here. These practices Trayton Welch, who I'm guessing nobody
• 8:16
  Speaker 5: who's listening to this has ever heard of them. Four catches,
• 8:19
  Speaker 5: four targets. He looked pretty good throughout. It might might
• 8:23
  Speaker 5: have ailed the rookie they drafted. He got targeted a lot,
• 8:26
  Speaker 5: five targets, only two catches. But I mean, you know,
• 8:28
  Speaker 5: they're getting the ball to these guys, and that does
• 8:31
  Speaker 5: look like a position that that maybe has a little
• 8:34
  Speaker 5: bit more potential, especially when poster Morosa on the sideline.
• 8:37
  Speaker 5: And again, he was something that really came to life
• 8:39
  Speaker 5: during the second half of the season last year after
• 8:42
  Speaker 5: all the receivers went down, So you know, maybe there's
• 8:44
  Speaker 5: a little bit there, maybe there's a mix. I think
• 8:46
  Speaker 5: it does come back to uh Juwan. I think there's
• 8:50
  Speaker 5: just so much about this offense that that they need
• 8:53
  Speaker 5: his presence, you know, just when you're playing with a
• 8:56
  Speaker 5: bunch of six foot guys, like at some point you
• 8:58
  Speaker 5: do need someone to make a contesting and maybe it
• 9:01
  Speaker 5: can be him. But yeah, I mean they're definitely getting
• 9:04
  Speaker 5: the ball of those guys, and I felt a little
• 9:06
  Speaker 5: bit hurt being just a little bit of production there.

  Speaker 5: And Welch is the one guy that kind of made
• 9:11
  Speaker 5: me out of like everybody. If I had to pick
• 9:13
  Speaker 5: a dark horse right now, I think maybe he's he's
• 9:15
  Speaker 5: at least in the mix. You know, he stood out,
• 9:18
  Speaker 5: he looked good. You know, I thought Michael Jacobson was
• 9:22
  Speaker 5: the guy that was gonna flash a little bit, because
• 9:23
  Speaker 5: that's kind of what he does every summer. But but
• 9:25
  Speaker 5: Welch was the guy that kind of caught my eye.

  Speaker 5: And you know, it happens enough times you're like, damn,
• 9:30
  Speaker 5: who's that guy? And you're looking up the number, and

  Speaker 5: you know, by the end of it, like that name
• 9:35
  Speaker 5: is stuck in your mind. So he definitely made an
• 9:37
  Speaker 5: impression on me.

  Speaker 3: Another position, certainly, Nick, we want to ask you about,

  Speaker 3: is the running back position. You make the move to

  Speaker 3: sign veteran Cam Akers and certainly somebody that's been in

  Speaker 3: the NFL for a long time. In the last couple

  Speaker 3: of years, he's kind of been a journey man, but
• 9:52
  Speaker 3: he's been somebody that's you know, been productive at times.

  Speaker 3: So what does him signing what the Saints mean for

  Speaker 3: the team, and also what's to mean for our guy

  Speaker 3: Clyde Edwards de Lair as well, like he was a

  Speaker 3: veteran running back on that team behind Ak, Like, how

  Speaker 3: do you kind of see maybe the pecking order of

  Speaker 5: It's interesting, man, Like I don't, I don't. They either

  Speaker 5: have a ton of guys there, they have nothing behind

  Speaker 5: Alvin and it could really go either direction. You know,

  Speaker 5: can't really see anything there. Acres didn't do anything that

  Speaker 5: really caught my eye. Looks like he moved well. I

  Speaker 5: coming off like a second Achilles injury. But how far

  Speaker 5: moves well. Marcus Yarns, the undrafted rookie, he moves well,

  Speaker 5: You know, I'm still betting on Hendre Miller. When you

  Speaker 5: the best athlete on a field of athletes, and you know,

  Speaker 5: if they could figure something out with him, maybe, you know,

  Speaker 5: Clyde obviously we said what he could do. You know,

  Speaker 5: I think past protection is gonna end up being a

  Speaker 5: big part of this, Like who can block? Oh, Devin

  Speaker 5: Neil too, Like he looks pretty good too, and he

  Speaker 5: gets involved in the passing game. So you know, my

  Speaker 5: top three right now, I think or Alvin Kendre and

  Speaker 5: Devin Neil if they go to four. You know, I

  Speaker 5: don't know which one I would pick right now. And

  Speaker 5: carry three and they have these two veterans on the

  Speaker 5: practice squad and they end up being elevations early in

  Speaker 5: the season and then they eventually signed one to the

  Speaker 5: fifty three. That might be a way to cheat the

  Speaker 5: roster a little bit. You know, those are kind of

  Speaker 5: the guys that he can keep around and play that

  Speaker 5: game with. But yeah, I mean, I think that's gonna

  Speaker 5: be a really fascinating pump addition, and I'm eager to

  Speaker 5: and the rest of them are kind of mysteries at

  Speaker 5: this point, and there could be a lot there and

  Speaker 6: can fans expect when they're looking at I'm like, you

  Speaker 6: Are we like a like a traditional huddle team, muddle huddle?

  Speaker 6: what's kind of the majority as far as a tempo,

  Speaker 5: Yeah, that's one of the things that I think he

  Speaker 5: does really well. And it's a it's a good mix.

  Speaker 5: You know, they like to go one word turbo at

  Speaker 5: times and then you know they'll they'll kind of not huddle,

  Speaker 5: do like the little sugar huddle thing and and kind

  Speaker 5: of bury the speeds up. Like there's super fast tempo,
• 13:33
  Speaker 5: there's tempo, and then there's like a mid range. Like
• 13:36
  Speaker 5: I think they mix that stuff up really well and
• 13:39
  Speaker 5: just do a lot of things to kind of keep
• 13:40
  Speaker 5: the defense off bound so that they don't really ever
• 13:43
  Speaker 5: get a feel for it. And you know, going through
• 13:45
  Speaker 5: and watching Philly last year, that was one of the
• 13:47
  Speaker 5: things that that kind of really stood out to me

  Speaker 5: that that team, you know, brilliant and then talking to
• 13:51
  Speaker 5: him about it and the way they put things together
• 13:54
  Speaker 5: and the way they design some of this stuff, like

  Speaker 5: it is kind of I think his core ethos is

  Speaker 5: having just that that tempo that you can weaponize on defenses,

  Speaker 5: and you know, I think that's the thing that that

  Speaker 5: they do well. And you know, I'm excited to kind

  Speaker 5: of see how how that stuff plays out, you know,

  Speaker 5: and just just the way it all like kinda kind

  Speaker 5: of goes together. I don't know, like just just you know,

  Speaker 5: talking to him, like there was Sean Payton and then

  Speaker 5: there was this era in between, and now there's telling
