Latest / The Hypnotist / Awaken the Samurai Within 🥷 | Hypnosis to Take Ruthless, Focused Action
Transcript
- 0:00Hi, it's Adam here. And in this episode of The
- 0:04Hypnotist, you're going to be listening to a hypnosis session,
- 0:08that is. All about action.
- 0:11And I was working with a client that had the ability to make
- 0:14really good decisions, but then they wouldn't really follow
- 0:18through with those decisions. And I think a lot of people can
- 0:22relate to that. They kind of know what they want
- 0:25to do, decide what they want to do, really think a lot about the
- 0:29thing they want to do, but then don't really follow through with
- 0:33that thing. And for this particular client
- 0:35that I was working with, this was happening in their social
- 0:39life, it was happening in their business life.
- 0:42They were making the decision, but they're not following.
- 0:45Through with that same decision. And this session really utilizes
- 0:52a different framework, and that's a framework of being
- 0:56discerning. Which is the.
- 0:58Thought process of consideration that leads to a decision and
- 1:02then this element of being decisive.
- 1:05And what I consider decisive is the action that follows a
- 1:10decision. So to make a decision but then
- 1:12not act, you can call that dithering, but to make a
- 1:16decision and then act relentlessly until that decision
- 1:19has been implemented, we can call that decisive.
- 1:24And that's really what this particular client wanted.
- 1:27They wanted to have this element of emotional detachment so that
- 1:32they could make the decision and then follow through with the
- 1:35decision, even if that meant upsetting the occasional person
- 1:39because they couldn't actually say yes to everything.
- 1:43And I asked this particular client to give me certain
- 1:46characters, either real or fictional, that they felt had
- 1:50the qualities of decisiveness, this cool, calm ability to just
- 1:57implement. And there was a few names that
- 1:59come up and the first one is a, a samurai warrior.
- 2:05So they had this idea of thinking of a samurai and just
- 2:10having that element of a stoic, really cool mannerism of just
- 2:16doing what needs to be done. They also like the character of
- 2:21Winston Wolf from Pulp Fiction. He's the Harvey Keitel
- 2:25character. I believe.
- 2:26That would clear up the mess of other people.
- 2:29And just. Do what needed to be done.
- 2:32And then the final reference was Neo from The Matrix and not the
- 2:37initial Neo, which doesn't really know what's real and what
- 2:41they want, but the Neo that has acquired that ability to trust
- 2:47their intuition and go with the. Flow and be fully.
- 2:50Present and just implement and and not overwhelm themselves
- 2:54with what may be, but just do what they need to do.
- 2:58So this uses metaphor, uses direct suggestions.
- 3:01It also uses future pacing to enable this particular client to
- 3:06harness that ability to be decisive.
- 3:11I create most of my sessions from real client sessions.
- 3:16Lots of my recordings are based on real client sessions.
- 3:19So they're they're real, they're not recorded.
- 3:22Hypnosis for someone out there in general, therefore a specific
- 3:26client. Confidentially, I share the
- 3:29recording because it's only my voice that's being shared.
- 3:33But what that does is it enables me to get my hypnosis in front
- 3:37of people that might not be able to work with me directly or
- 3:40afford to work with me but. Because of that.
- 3:43Some of these suggestions won't be 100% relevant for you because
- 3:47they were created for the individual.
- 3:50That I was working with. So bear that in mind when you
- 3:53listen to this hypnosis session and at the same time if you like
- 3:57the idea. Of.
- 3:59Working with me directly to have a bespoke session or a series of
- 4:03sessions built around your needs and your requirements.
- 4:06Maybe there's a particular change that you want to make?
- 4:09There will be a link in the description that will enable you
- 4:12to book a free consultation call to explore working with me.
- 4:16For now though, you might get a lot of value from this session
- 4:19anyway, so find a quiet, comfortable place where you
- 4:22won't be disturbed. Relax and enjoy the session.
- 4:45Take a deep. Breath in and as you breathe in.
- 4:55Breathe in that slow, long, relaxing breath.
- 5:01And. As you exhale, feel a wonderful
- 5:07sense of any tension, any stress, any worries starting to
- 5:18leave your body in that outward breath, Breathing and relaxation
- 5:30and allowing yourself to let go of any feelings of worry, stress
- 5:37and tension. That's it.
- 5:41Breath by breath. Enable yourself to drift down,
- 5:48deeper and deeper, relaxed. And the deeper you breathe, the
- 6:03more relaxed you become. And the more relaxed you become,
- 6:09the deeper you breathe. And I wonder if you can imagine
- 6:27watching a movie, Imagine your own private cinema.
- 6:36And imagine in that cinema is the most comfortable chair and
- 6:43you have this whole cinema just to yourself, breathing in
- 6:49relaxation, exhaling tension, enabling you to feel deeper and
- 6:58deeper, relaxed as you just see a black screen.
- 7:07Very soon a movie is starting, and I want you to imagine a
- 7:20movie that set in ancient Japan, and I want you to see on that
- 7:31screen a lone samurai warrior, perhaps the most accomplished,
- 7:45skilled and ruthless of all the samurai warriors.
- 7:55I want you to imagine seeing someone with a cool, calm, stoic
- 8:02temperament. They do whatever needs to be
- 8:08done, but they have a framework in order to make their
- 8:14decisions. And some people would call them
- 8:20a code. I want you to see that samurai
- 8:28following their code, certain beliefs linked to honour and
- 8:36pride and meaning. And then I want you to imagine
- 8:47seeing another character there on that screen, also in ancient
- 8:56Japan. I want you to see the character
- 9:03of Neo from The Matrix, wearing those dark clothes, sunglasses.
- 9:16But I want you to see this character at a point where they
- 9:23have enlightenment. They are able to respond in the
- 9:31moment to almost slow down time to see things as they actually
- 9:40are. They're in the same scene, the
- 9:49samurai warrior and Neo and now one more character.
- 9:57See the character of Winston Wolf from Pulp Fiction there,
- 10:04also in Japan. And you're just sat there in the
- 10:12cinema seeing these three unlikely characters sharing a
- 10:18scene in a movie. And allow the pattern
- 10:25recognition part of your mind to look for qualities that exist in
- 10:33all three. Just allow yourself to observe
- 10:41these characters. Perhaps you consider them all to
- 10:46be pragmatic, decisive, with clarity.
- 10:55They know what their function is.
- 10:57They know what they want. They know how to make things the
- 11:04way they want things to be. In all three cases that you have
- 11:13the ability to influence the future based on what they do in
- 11:19the present. And as you stare there, looking
- 11:27at the screen, feel like you're sinking into that chair in the
- 11:35cinema, enabling you to feel deeper and deeper, relaxed.
- 11:50Feel any tension in your neck and shoulders just melting away.
- 11:57Feel like you're drifting deeper and deeper, almost like the
- 12:01whole cinema is in a giant elevator going downwards, deeper
- 12:09down. Feel that you are accessing a
- 12:15part of your subconscious mind to a place where only clarity
- 12:23exists, where thinking slows down but awareness sharpens, and
- 12:38in that space a mist begins to form.
- 12:45A mist, none of fog, but of possibility.
- 12:54You become more aware of the characters on that screen in the
- 12:57cinema. The clothing of the samurai,
- 13:02maybe a simple kimono. Get a sense of are.
- 13:13Both Neo and Winston are wearing suits, but of different kinds.
- 13:21I get a sense of each of them has a weapon, a sword, a gun, or
- 13:29perhaps the capability of their own mind.
- 13:38I want you to get a sense then the qualities in all three are
- 13:45starting to vibrate and resonate with the equivalent qualities in
- 13:53you. Not to become a samurai, and not
- 14:02to escape the Matrix, and not to clear up the mess that someone
- 14:07else has made, but to activate the cool, calm, decisive and
- 14:17discerning part within you. I want you to get a sandstone.
- 14:28There is wisdom to extract from all of these characters.
- 14:40Maybe one of the characters is telling you that there is no
- 14:44confusion. When you follow the way, you
- 14:49already know what must be done. So act that in action you become
- 14:56truth, and in stillness you gather force.
- 15:05Then imagine Winston's character staring into the screen,
- 15:13breaking the 4th wall, communicating directly to you,
- 15:21saying the words. You've got things to do Good
- 15:26now. You've got priorities.
- 15:29Handle it. Decisive action is emotional
- 15:34freedom, and you'll feel better the second you move.
- 15:42None of these characters would recommend hesitation.
- 15:47In all three cases, hesitation could cost them everything.
- 15:52Action is what makes a decision. Decisive.
- 15:57To make a decision and not act. Some would call it cowardice and
- 16:04some would call it a mistake, a strategic weakness.
- 16:15And you notice now you have some of those open loops, things
- 16:23you've been thinking about but not implemented, decisions
- 16:27you've made but not executed. Open loops, unfinished business,
- 16:34unspoken decisions. I want you to get a sense that
- 16:40this isn't a problem. This is an opportunity.
- 16:49Musashi didn't become a great samurai without training, Neo
- 16:59needed to fail first before he found that incredible talent
- 17:06within, and Winston learned to be ruthlessly pragmatic from
- 17:18mistakes he saw in the past. I want you to get a sense that
- 17:24these open loops are your boot camp, your ability to sharpen
- 17:31your sword, to do what needs to be done so that in future
- 17:41decisions get made quickly and you will unleash an incredible
- 17:48urge. To take action the moment you
- 17:56make a decision. The decision involves
- 18:03communicating. You message them or e-mail them
- 18:08straight away if it means going somewhere.
- 18:14The book will buy the tickets. I want you to get a sense that
- 18:19you will take pride in ruthlessly doing whatever needs
- 18:25to be done quickly. You will look for facial
- 18:34expressions, messages of surprise, words like wow, that
- 18:47was fast, you've done that already.
- 18:54This will feel like sunshine to a wilted flower.
- 19:02You will take pride in your decisiveness and your ability to
- 19:08execute decisions. It becomes the thing you look
- 19:14for most. It gives you a sense of being in
- 19:22control, of engineering your future to give you more of what
- 19:31you want and less of what you don't.
- 19:38By being decisive, it gives you the option without the
- 19:43obligation. Consider two different paths.
- 19:52Path 1, decisions get made but never executed.
- 19:58Delayed, delayed, delayed until your hand is forced.
- 20:06A forced hand is obligation without the option.
- 20:12But path 2, you decide quickly. You execute quickly.
- 20:20But with the option to make a new decision to inverse the
- 20:25first decision if needed. One path you're dithering and
- 20:33the other you're decisive. And I want you to think of those
- 20:373 characters. Would any of them be who they
- 20:42are if they did it? A moment's hesitation would mean
- 20:51they are no longer who they stand for.
- 20:58I want you to find that part within you that deals with
- 21:04things as they arise, not how they could be.
- 21:08Think back to a moment. A moment where you were
- 21:12decisive. A moment of taking each day as
- 21:17it comes, of not overthinking, of simply doing.
- 21:24And scan your body for where you feel that emotion, that cool,
- 21:31calm, stoic feeling of doing whatever is necessary.
- 21:38And notice the presupposition there.
- 21:44You can handle it. When you've been decisive and
- 21:48took actions, it was a vote of confidence in your future self.
- 21:59But the opposite is also true. When you delay, when you fail to
- 22:05do what's necessary, you are saying to yourself
- 22:09subconsciously you can't handle this.
- 22:15You can't make decisions. You can't implement decisions.
- 22:22The path of dithering and delay is a path of pain and
- 22:29frustration, whereas the path of decisive execution means you get
- 22:38to be the hero in the story of your life.
- 22:47I want you to imagine now, stepping into that screen.
- 22:52You're there with the samurai, with Winston and Neo, and I want
- 22:58you to feel that the best of all of their qualities is
- 23:03transferring from them into you. I want you to feel then that
- 23:12ability to think fast, to do, to be decisive is now resonating
- 23:22with every cell in your body. And I want you to think of just
- 23:29one thing where you feel like you're in limbo in no man's
- 23:35land, in the empty void. And when you could think of
- 23:43that, I want you to feel that you're now looking at the same
- 23:47situation with a cool, calm detachment.
- 23:54Notice how quickly you can evaluate how much you value what
- 24:02you stand to gain, what the expected consequences could be.
- 24:09And then be decisive. And maybe your definition of
- 24:18being decisive is not making the decision.
- 24:24It's the time between making the decision and implementing the
- 24:27decision. From this point forward, you
- 24:33will define a decision as the action, not the intention, and
- 24:44therefore if you haven't done what's necessary, you haven't
- 24:49actually decided. And sometimes you will set the
- 24:54intention and within seconds you will have already implemented.
- 25:04You will take pride in how quickly once the decision is
- 25:08made, the doing then solidifies the thought and think of that
- 25:15thing, that open loop, that unfinished business.
- 25:22Imagine yourself doing whatever is required to close that loop,
- 25:29and that might be saying yes and then doing the thing.
- 25:31It might be saying no and blocking out time to do
- 25:35something else instead. Might be communicating, booking.
- 25:45It might be something you actually physically do.
- 25:49But imagine doing that now. And I want you to get a sense
- 25:56that socially and financially, by being discerning and
- 26:03decisive, it stands to reason that you can't please all of the
- 26:09people all of the time. You simply can't say yes to
- 26:15everything. And those people that
- 26:21acknowledge that you are a busy person with many different
- 26:26responsibilities will accept and respect that.
- 26:33And the people that don't, that have bruised egos, that take
- 26:40things personally, from this point forwards, you will feel
- 26:46that if they take it that way, then they don't belong in your
- 26:53circle. You will be true to you, and the
- 26:59people that resonate with that will gravitate toward you, and
- 27:06the people that don't will be repelled.
- 27:11But you are repelling the very people or situations that would
- 27:17occupy your thoughts and emotions, and I want you to get
- 27:23a sense that they are too valuable to be wasted in that
- 27:27way. But before you leave this
- 27:35screen, imagine Neo is giving you a gift.
- 27:46A gift that was given to him. 2 pills, a red pill and a blue
- 27:53pill. These pills represent two
- 28:00different futures. One of the pills represents the
- 28:05status quo things continuing exactly as they are.
- 28:13You know what that's like, And it's a choice you can take
- 28:21because Neo explains that anything you are not changing,
- 28:26you are choosing. The absence of doing anything
- 28:31different means you are choosing to remain the same.
- 28:36Or you can take the other pill, and that would be understanding
- 28:42that you are entering a future of decisive discernment.
- 28:52You love making decisions, knowing that a true decision is
- 28:57only true when it's acted upon. You will take pride in being
- 29:03discerning, giving real thought to making decisions.
- 29:09But you will consider yourself a doer, a Walker and not a talker,
- 29:17someone that does what is necessary.
- 29:22Look at the colour of these two pills and then take them from
- 29:28Neo's hand and as you swallow them, know which colour you're
- 29:35swallowing and which future you are choosing.
- 29:38And when you feel you've chosen that future, let me know by
- 29:42nodding your head. That's in.
- 29:51And you can test this out by thinking of something on your
- 29:57radar that needs a decision making, needs something doing.
- 30:06And if you think about it in a way where you feel that you can
- 30:08just do that thing, then indeed that is evidence of the change.
- 30:19Imagine saying goodbye to these three characters, just like a
- 30:24candle can light another candle without diminishing its light.
- 30:31You have the qualities now of all three of these, and they
- 30:35still retain their qualities themselves.
- 30:40Feel how good it feels to be thinking in this way and then
- 30:49you leave the screen, find yourself there, back in the
- 30:51cinema, but feeling like a shift has taken place.
- 30:57A sense of feeling galvanised, empowered and looking forward to
- 31:06being this decisive, discerning doer that you now are.
- 31:14It's time to leave this cinema in your mind, taking all of
- 31:17these changes with you. So take a deep breath in through
- 31:20your nose and out through your nose as wiggle your fingers and
- 31:26wiggle your toes. Connect and calibrate into the
- 31:29here and the now as I now count from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken
- 31:36you. You will awaken feeling
- 31:38resourceful, decisive and eager to spring into action.
- 31:47Starting to count 123 Waking up 456.
- 31:52More alert 7-8 Open your eyes. Open your eyes 910.
- 31:58Wide awake, Wide awake. Wide awake.
