- 0:55Speaker 4: Of the North.
- 0:56Speaker 3: Hey, Babby Max excited to bring that back. Yeah, it's
- 1:00Speaker 3: stupid springtime. That song aways reminds me of spring summer,
- 1:04Speaker 3: so you know what I mean, had to bring that back. Yes,
- 1:07Speaker 3: it is spring, it almost summer. It's hot as hell
- 1:11Speaker 3: in New York and then it's cold some days like
- 1:14Speaker 3: spring does not want to go away. But we are
- 1:16Speaker 3: here back on Fall Nerds Show. How y'all doing out there?
- 1:20Speaker 3: I hope everyone's having a beautiful day, beautiful week, all
- 1:24Speaker 3: of that good stuff.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Yeah, I was trying to wait until we got at
- 1:28Speaker 1: least a minute into the intro, so I wouldn't get
- 1:31Speaker 1: flying this, but Earth is.
- 1:32Speaker 4: Saying after y'all get the funk off of me. That's
- 1:36Speaker 4: what this is about.
- 1:37Speaker 1: Okay, global warming is real, it's a challenge, and it's
- 1:42Speaker 1: gonna get worse.
- 1:43Speaker 3: Well damn, I mean, in the spirit of Chico Leo,
- 1:47Speaker 3: I feel like that got depressing real quick, the trying
- 1:52Speaker 3: to start off. You know, we already had a pre
- 1:56Speaker 3: show full of depression. I didn't need the whole shad continue.
- 2:00Speaker 4: It's supposed to be real. Let's be real.
- 2:02Speaker 3: This is spreading, you know what I mean.
- 2:05Speaker 4: It has to be real, tell you the truth.
- 2:08Speaker 3: Yikes.
- 2:08Speaker 1: I always tell you guys that choose even when I lie.
- 2:14Speaker 3: Our phase quote. All right, well, yeah, welcome to fall
- 2:19Speaker 3: Nerds show, where we are giving it to you raw
- 2:21Speaker 3: and real. Hey yep, I get a sound effect. But yeah,
- 2:32Speaker 3: we're gonna keep it moving and thank you once again
- 2:34Speaker 3: for joining us on the show. A lot to talk
- 2:37Speaker 3: about this week in the world going on. It's I mean, look, man.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Well the first thing, yeah, I'll tell you what I
- 2:45Speaker 1: really want to talk about first, because okay, this is
- 2:48Speaker 1: the most pressing important thing to me at least in fandom. Okay,
- 2:52Speaker 1: next week, Ironheart is coming out June twenty fourth and
- 2:56Speaker 1: nine pm Eastern.
- 2:58Speaker 4: The way I need everybody to rally.
- 3:02Speaker 1: Behind Dominique Thorn, the way I need the fandom to
- 3:06Speaker 1: rise up and push this to the top. Act like
- 3:09Speaker 1: it's Black Panther Junior. Stop fucking playing. I am dead ass.
- 3:14Speaker 1: If y'all didn't see ye, please go to our YouTube
- 3:16Speaker 1: right now, or you can go to any of our
- 3:18Speaker 1: socials right now where you can see. Actually, you got
- 3:20Speaker 1: to speak to miss Dominique Thorn herself, Miss Reevee Williams
- 3:23Speaker 1: as we know or we'll know it next week, and
- 3:26Speaker 1: she gave me, first of all, a lovely, really quick
- 3:30Speaker 1: but lovely conversation, and we would love to have her
- 3:32Speaker 1: on to talk more. But she gave us the background
- 3:35Speaker 1: of just how important re Rea is to the MCU.
- 3:39Speaker 1: We got to know a little bit more about her personally.
- 3:42Speaker 4: She's really cool. She's mad cool.
- 3:45Speaker 1: And because she's such a mad cool person, you know
- 3:47Speaker 1: that she's coming with the real she's coming with the
- 3:49Speaker 1: flavor with this, which means.
- 3:52Speaker 4: We have to back her up. Okay, fandom, we have
- 3:55Speaker 4: to do this.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Okay fan, fan, fandom, fanboys, fangirls, fan peace people.
- 4:00Speaker 4: We have to step.
- 4:02Speaker 1: Up fan blacks, I want all the fans.
- 4:07Speaker 3: Yeah, but this is how it works. Black people do
- 4:09Speaker 3: something everyone else follows the life.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Yeah, it's it's it's so important because this is the
- 4:19Speaker 1: pivotal character in the MCU, like I see reve and
- 4:23Speaker 1: really that's what they're doing with all of the younger
- 4:26Speaker 1: quote versions of a lot of the heroes that you've
- 4:29Speaker 1: grown and loved on the first iteration.
- 4:31Speaker 4: And to me, it's like the way I see the MCU.
- 4:33Speaker 1: How when it started it was the millennials and right
- 4:36Speaker 1: now we in gen z times, okay, and you know
- 4:38Speaker 1: the millennials is like a lot of them is like
- 4:40Speaker 1: I'm retired. I'm out this whole, right, Like Tony Stark gone,
- 4:45Speaker 1: Captain Maherica gone, you know, like unfortunately Black Panther gone
- 4:51Speaker 1: until it gets redone maybe damn sit and ind just
- 4:53Speaker 1: will take that.
- 4:54Speaker 4: Who knows here.
- 4:56Speaker 1: He was actually on Today Show and they hinted at
- 4:58Speaker 1: it and it was like, did you have conversations about
- 5:01Speaker 1: being Black Panther? And he said yes, no and laughed
- 5:04Speaker 1: and then when the when the the host was like,
- 5:07Speaker 1: you know, yes, no, it means yes, you know. Dampson
- 5:10Speaker 1: was like, well you don't know that, like, like this
- 5:12Speaker 1: plain stupid, and then the whole said, well, if they
- 5:15Speaker 1: asked you, would you consider and Dampson said yes, which
- 5:18Speaker 1: means he's had some sort of conversation.
- 5:21Speaker 3: Wow, I wouldn't be mad at that, right, I Like,
- 5:25Speaker 3: I really like.
- 5:26Speaker 4: I wouldn't be mad at that at all, you know.
- 5:27Speaker 1: For all that to say, the reason why I'm bringing
- 5:29Speaker 1: all that up is because they're.
- 5:32Speaker 4: The MCU was being rebooted.
- 5:33Speaker 3: Now we're bringing we've already okay, and that yeah, that
- 5:37Speaker 3: way could yeah, no, not to cut you off, but
- 5:40Speaker 3: that that whole this is a lot of speculation that
- 5:44Speaker 3: after Secret Wars, the MCU will be rebooted. And I'm
- 5:51Speaker 3: really kind of like interested. I guess is the word
- 5:55Speaker 3: and what people think that means? You know, because I
- 5:57Speaker 3: want to.
- 5:57Speaker 4: Know, like, what do you think that means?
- 5:59Speaker 3: I don't think it's going to happen or not in
- 6:02Speaker 3: the way that people think it's going to happen.
- 6:05Speaker 1: Let's start with the premise of the definition what do
- 6:07Speaker 1: you think?
- 6:08Speaker 4: But what it is it that you don't think is
- 6:10Speaker 4: going to happen?
- 6:11Speaker 3: Retelling the stories that we've already seen.
- 6:14Speaker 4: Okay, so let me rephrase them. When I say.
- 6:18Speaker 3: Rebool, what you're saying is a different thing. But you're
- 6:20Speaker 3: saying is a continuation a new generation. Correct. But there's
- 6:25Speaker 3: people who believe because in the actual comic book, especially
- 6:29Speaker 3: in the more recent Secret Wars, at the end of it,
- 6:34Speaker 3: it actually was the end of like the Marvel Universe
- 6:38Speaker 3: from the comics from like nineteen sixty three, I think
- 6:41Speaker 3: they first started publishing, because up until that time, Marvel
- 6:45Speaker 3: had never had like a crisis like DC where they
- 6:48Speaker 3: rebooted the whole universe, you know, like DC in the comics.
- 6:52Speaker 3: God damn, this turned off back in the eighties, had
- 6:55Speaker 3: this event called Crisis on Infinite Earth. When it ended,
- 6:58Speaker 3: they restarted all the comics, like there was a new
- 7:01Speaker 3: Superman number one, and new Wonder Woman number one, New
- 7:03Speaker 3: green Land, and et cetera. Summarize they started and they
- 7:06Speaker 3: all restarted boom, And that's happened sadly multiple times since
- 7:09Speaker 3: then in DC history, Like they've rebooted in.
- 7:13Speaker 4: The DCU, it's happened, and I.
- 7:16Speaker 3: Mean, we are all Indeed, it actually maybe.
- 7:20Speaker 1: Reboots the wrong word, because a lot of people think
- 7:23Speaker 1: that reboots literally the which it could, which it is.
- 7:26Speaker 1: I guess by definition, it's retelling of the same story
- 7:28Speaker 1: with just a slightly different spin on it, different different actors.
- 7:32Speaker 4: Why why you have twenty million Batman? They're all technically reboots.
- 7:34Speaker 1: Okay, there we go, Yep, fine, I'm I'm talking about
- 7:38Speaker 1: a reject.
- 7:39Speaker 3: Passing the torch passing the torch. Yes, and but I'm
- 7:43Speaker 3: saying a lot of people think that it will happen
- 7:45Speaker 3: after Secret Wars, and that's how we'll get a new
- 7:47Speaker 3: Black Panther, and I don't believe Marvel would do that.
- 7:50Speaker 4: They're not gonna do the same story again.
- 7:52Speaker 3: Yeah, I do not see us doing the Infinity saga again.
- 7:54Speaker 3: That would seem really corny to me.
- 7:56Speaker 1: Besides being corny, let's let's put our personal thoughts away.
- 7:59Speaker 1: It wouldn't makes sense. It would not make sense in
- 8:03Speaker 1: the context of what we know of the MCU now,
- 8:06Speaker 1: which is this essentially this fragmented thing in of multiple
- 8:11Speaker 1: of universes.
- 8:11Speaker 4: They're not gonna do the same story again, it doesn't
- 8:14Speaker 4: make sense.
- 8:14Speaker 3: Yeah, And monetarily, I don't think that's.
- 8:17Speaker 4: What I mean. Let's get emotion out of it.
- 8:20Speaker 3: Yeah, Monetarily, I don't.
- 8:21Speaker 4: Think holistically, it makes sense.
- 8:25Speaker 1: It's not gonna drive dollars. This is not it's not
- 8:27Speaker 1: built in the same way that the DCEU was, where
- 8:30Speaker 1: it's just like it drives dollars to do the same
- 8:32Speaker 1: Batman story fifty times. It was never built on that premise,
- 8:36Speaker 1: So why would that work.
- 8:37Speaker 3: Now and from going forward? As long as James Gunn
- 8:40Speaker 3: is in control of DC, I don't.
- 8:42Speaker 4: Think And that's not gonna happen, right, don't.
- 8:43Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't think they're gonna be rebooting their Universeitny Thompson,
- 8:46Speaker 3: I don't.
- 8:46Speaker 4: Think so either.
- 8:48Speaker 1: As mentioned, like I mentioned with Damson, we're going to
- 8:50Speaker 1: see the next gen of THEE and.
- 8:52Speaker 3: Now that see that would be the interesting like because
- 8:54Speaker 3: of that Dampson, because of you know his age literally
- 8:57Speaker 3: in real life. You know, he's younger. So he's younger
- 9:01Speaker 3: than the current cast of Black Panther. So if they
- 9:03Speaker 3: were like gonna do a new Black Panther, I mean,
- 9:07Speaker 3: I'll just be interesting. You know.
- 9:09Speaker 1: My thing is you have all the players basically there
- 9:12Speaker 1: are about to be announced.
- 9:14Speaker 2: MS.
- 9:14Speaker 1: Marvel's already there, hawk Hawk Ey Jr. Is already there.
- 9:19Speaker 1: And I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I wasn't trying to be disrespectful.
- 9:21Speaker 1: That's just how I remember.
- 9:22Speaker 3: Girl, and she's just.
- 9:27Speaker 1: That is Dennis Junior is Hawk Gysnner's sinners guy. You know,
- 9:35Speaker 1: like I said, you America, I don't know America, your
- 9:38Speaker 1: girl America's coming back anytime soon.
- 9:40Speaker 3: But oh goddamn sorry, I saw something that that they
- 9:44Speaker 3: they somehow do have interest in bringing our backs. So
- 9:47Speaker 3: you know, hey, do you.
- 9:49Speaker 1: See like when you think it's like your friendly neighborhood
- 9:51Speaker 1: spider Man, even though that's in a in a an
- 9:53Speaker 1: animated sense, that character still exists within the realms, like
- 9:57Speaker 1: and they pick and choose about who they side to
- 9:59Speaker 1: pluck out of of animation into live action and vice versa.
- 10:02Speaker 3: So it's fair game that man. You know, that man
- 10:06Speaker 3: ain't getting plug not after that, after made them.
- 10:08Speaker 1: Statements, how am I talking about the white actor of
- 10:11Speaker 1: Peter Parker talking about him?
- 10:13Speaker 3: I'm talking about It's just.
- 10:15Speaker 4: Like you might see Pearl pop up somewhere.
- 10:18Speaker 3: It's just like, what's his name? Who does the voice
- 10:20Speaker 3: of Miles? They never playing Miles in real life either.
- 10:24Speaker 1: Well, he can't be nowhere near Center's talky because that's
- 10:27Speaker 1: a problem.
- 10:28Speaker 3: So let's not go there. I somehow feel that that
- 10:33Speaker 3: relates to a lot of people. It's not just talk
- 10:39Speaker 3: about you. I feel like that's a you know, that's
- 10:43Speaker 3: a himn problem, not a him problem.
- 10:47Speaker 4: It's a him problem because he's not invited.
- 10:49Speaker 3: To I feel like it's you know, I don't feel
- 10:54Speaker 3: like it's the other people.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, the table is set and and all that
- 10:58Speaker 1: to say to bring him back to what the original
- 11:00Speaker 1: point was, which is the table is set for a
- 11:02Speaker 1: fucking party.
- 11:03Speaker 3: And we have to just be joining that party.
- 11:06Speaker 4: Iron Heart re Re Williams.
- 11:07Speaker 1: Okay, y'all want y'all want y'all want some iron Man
- 11:11Speaker 1: iron suit realness.
- 11:12Speaker 4: Here you go. We're like, literally the stuff you want
- 11:16Speaker 4: to see is coming. So and I'm not talking to it.
- 11:19Speaker 1: Hey, there's I'm talking to the people who are just like, well,
- 11:21Speaker 1: I wonder that's all I need from you. I wonder
- 11:23Speaker 1: you wonder go watch it. June twenty fourth, Mad Hater
- 11:28Speaker 1: should watch it, Yeah, just to say they watched it
- 11:31Speaker 1: and to give that least the one minute, thirty seconds
- 11:34Speaker 1: required or whatever it is to count as a view.
- 11:36Speaker 4: Mm hmm, to be honest with you.
- 11:38Speaker 1: So, I'm just saying I'm I'm probably going to promote
- 11:42Speaker 1: this every single day until the data comes out, and
- 11:45Speaker 1: then it will continue to promote it because it's just
- 11:47Speaker 1: that important.
- 11:48Speaker 4: It is that important that, as mentioned, we support Dominique.
- 11:51Speaker 1: It's that important where we support this new character, that
- 11:53Speaker 1: we support the entry way of this new character. You
- 11:55Speaker 1: got to see a glimpse of this character in Wakanda Forever,
- 11:58Speaker 1: but you didn't get to see the story glory of
- 12:00Speaker 1: this character. You didn't get to see her intro and
- 12:02Speaker 1: how she came to be. And that's what I am
- 12:05Speaker 1: so excited to see.
- 12:06Speaker 3: And I want to say some more. I mean one,
- 12:10Speaker 3: I second, everything Titana said made sure y'all go watch
- 12:13Speaker 3: that interview with Dominie Thoring the Titanna did fantastic job
- 12:17Speaker 3: in the quite short.
- 12:19Speaker 4: Time, the short time we had.
- 12:20Speaker 3: But I got it, man, you did, you did, You
- 12:23Speaker 3: did the work, and thank you for doing that because
- 12:25Speaker 3: I know, you know, people do not understand how these
- 12:28Speaker 3: press junkens go and what Tantowna pulled off for that
- 12:31Speaker 3: one was you know, applaud her. Please hit the applause
- 12:35Speaker 3: side of that fright now, because yeah, no, she surely
- 12:38Speaker 3: deserves it. If if you know you know, and on
- 12:42Speaker 3: that point, I actually had to make what wrap it up?
- 12:48Speaker 3: Them niggas come in with that that button when you
- 12:51Speaker 3: wrap it up? You see the button right be yo
- 12:54Speaker 3: b yo.
- 12:55Speaker 4: The sign is real simple beat it says wrap it up.
- 13:02Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 13:04Speaker 4: Anyway, I'm sorry, mad as you said, they don't know
- 13:07Speaker 4: what we go through.
- 13:07Speaker 3: Big go ahead. Yes, they will never understand. But no,
- 13:11Speaker 3: I had myself had to make a response video because
- 13:15Speaker 3: in general, and not just to this, not just to
- 13:17Speaker 3: our video on YouTube, but it was started by that
- 13:22Speaker 3: once Todd Town and once we posted it, you know,
- 13:25Speaker 3: immediately we got our usual love, you know, from our supporters.
- 13:27Speaker 3: Take you to the fan fam everyone out there, and
- 13:29Speaker 3: make sure everyone subscribes on YouTube as well. All that
- 13:32Speaker 3: good stuff. Hit that light. But in everything like that,
- 13:36Speaker 3: but then there was a lot of hate. And it
- 13:39Speaker 3: goes back to something I saw when the trailer first
- 13:41Speaker 3: for Iron Hurt dropped and everybody had been waiting on
- 13:44Speaker 3: it forever. I go to YouTube a few hours after
- 13:47Speaker 3: it dropped, and the first video I saw next to
- 13:50Speaker 3: the trailer was somebody hating on it. And I'm like, damn,
- 13:54Speaker 3: Normally that I don't see that, you know, I see
- 13:56Speaker 3: a Fantastic four trailer, it will be like three or
- 13:57Speaker 3: four people next to it, like, oh, it's the best
- 14:00Speaker 3: dream ever, you know. But damn for Ironhartts like this,
- 14:04Speaker 3: why right? No, I do know why. And that's what
- 14:06Speaker 3: I addressed in my video. It's like people hate to
- 14:08Speaker 3: see black women shining. That was basically the premise of
- 14:10Speaker 3: my video, and it's whack and weak and I have
- 14:16Speaker 3: a problem with it. And so that's what I addressed
- 14:17Speaker 3: in the video because I'm just really tired of it
- 14:20Speaker 3: and even myself, and I say this in the video,
- 14:22Speaker 3: when I saw the trailer, I was like, eh, I
- 14:25Speaker 3: was pretty well, I you know if I said in
- 14:28Speaker 3: our review of the trailer that it felt like, you know,
- 14:30Speaker 3: ten years ago Marvel, which is classic peak Marvel, but
- 14:34Speaker 3: at the same time, it felt like stuff I'd seen before,
- 14:37Speaker 3: you know what I mean. And I was kind of like, damn,
- 14:39Speaker 3: you know, I want to see something fresh, you know,
- 14:40Speaker 3: for Ironhart I need more for my girl. You know,
- 14:43Speaker 3: this is like, as I said, I'm starting to get
- 14:45Speaker 3: that Monica Rambou feeling and you know, or the one
- 14:49Speaker 3: you just mentioned America Chef is and you know that
- 14:52Speaker 3: hurt me. I was hurt y'all. By the other day,
- 14:56Speaker 3: I rewatched Civil War still fantastic, I say, I watching
- 15:00Speaker 3: Shane she but I'm like some of that. I started
- 15:02Speaker 3: watching that it wasn't bad, and I was like, maybe
- 15:04Speaker 3: I should rewatch Doctor Strad and I was like, what
- 15:07Speaker 3: am I thinking? You know, madness? And I actually like
- 15:13Speaker 3: parts of it, but you know, I remember what they
- 15:15Speaker 3: did to my girl, and I was really rethinking about
- 15:17Speaker 3: watching Love and Thunder and then I was like, I'm
- 15:19Speaker 3: smoking too much now you now you od I know,
- 15:23Speaker 3: and that's that's wild. But it's like, because I've rewatched
- 15:26Speaker 3: all the more and I can't bring my something to do.
- 15:28Speaker 4: You would have been fined doing multiverse.
- 15:31Speaker 3: Man, Yeah, I think I'll do multi Where I have to.
- 15:34Speaker 4: Do intervention is when you just said Love and Thunder, Like,
- 15:36Speaker 4: all right, I.
- 15:37Speaker 3: Won't do that again. But that being said, you know,
- 15:42Speaker 3: that was my problem with the trailer, and I cannot
- 15:45Speaker 3: say anymore because I am under you know what they
- 15:48Speaker 3: call n DA and that's something else I can say. Though.
- 15:52Speaker 3: I do have an issue with how Marvel is marketing this,
- 15:55Speaker 3: and I've seen a lot of people talking about that,
- 15:58Speaker 3: and one thing I do want to address about that
- 16:00Speaker 3: part is like people are kind of upset that they're
- 16:02Speaker 3: releasing three episodes one week and then three episodes and
- 16:05Speaker 3: that's and then it's done because.
- 16:06Speaker 4: It's only six episodes.
- 16:09Speaker 3: And I don't agree with I'm not sure if I
- 16:15Speaker 3: think the Marvel could stretch it out.
- 16:19Speaker 1: I don't agree with the release schedule because I don't
- 16:21Speaker 1: think it interferes, at least publicly with what's going on
- 16:24Speaker 1: with Fantastic four. Yeap, so I understood, like like for example,
- 16:29Speaker 1: what was it, oh Daredevil, where out of the five
- 16:32Speaker 1: hundred episodes it was twelve, but out of the five
- 16:34Speaker 1: hundred episodes of this season ended nine. Remember, But the
- 16:40Speaker 1: reason why I mentioned one number of episodes because like
- 16:43Speaker 1: it and it kind of unceremoniously, but they made it,
- 16:46Speaker 1: and right before like was it and or or whatever?
- 16:49Speaker 4: They made it and right before the next big thing.
- 16:54Speaker 3: Coming on Disney Plus, like, because I know it's not
- 16:58Speaker 3: just Marvel, you know, is there? I know there ain't
- 17:01Speaker 3: no starts would.
- 17:01Speaker 4: Be a big Star Wars thing. I don't know, not
- 17:03Speaker 4: man the Laureate.
- 17:04Speaker 3: No, that ain't coming back, bros In.
- 17:06Speaker 4: The hit musical on Broadway.
- 17:08Speaker 3: Like, I don't know, Maybe it's something you know, maybe
- 17:10Speaker 3: I don't. I don't.
- 17:12Speaker 4: I know, that's not it.
- 17:13Speaker 3: I don't know, we don't get it.
- 17:15Speaker 1: And so like I agree with you, I don't agree
- 17:18Speaker 1: with this release schedule if it's only six episodes and
- 17:21Speaker 1: unless unless it's interfering with something we just don't know
- 17:24Speaker 1: of yet, which is a high potential.
- 17:27Speaker 4: Who knows what is the problem.
- 17:30Speaker 1: Because I know back in the day, they would want
- 17:32Speaker 1: to avoid summertime type releases because people were not in
- 17:36Speaker 1: front of their TVs.
- 17:36Speaker 4: They were on vacation, it was outside, it was well there,
- 17:40Speaker 4: and I think that might be.
- 17:41Speaker 3: Thing now mobile definitely, because well but still I mean, okay, okay,
- 17:50Speaker 3: maybe not as much. But you also got amember the
- 17:53Speaker 3: people making these decisions are still old school other than
- 17:56Speaker 3: the computers making the decisions, and the computers are still
- 17:59Speaker 3: going to go by the you know, numbers that they've
- 18:01Speaker 3: been fed from before, so that would probably incline them
- 18:04Speaker 3: to say that. Yeah. And also you've got to remember
- 18:07Speaker 3: the summer is still reserved for the big movies, like
- 18:10Speaker 3: you know, even though they're not competing with like, they
- 18:13Speaker 3: don't want to take odds away from fans as four obviously,
- 18:16Speaker 3: but they also Superman is going to come and take
- 18:18Speaker 3: our eyes and thoughts away from everything.
- 18:21Speaker 4: Yes, and maybe and that could be a reason.
- 18:23Speaker 3: Like and there's these summer movies, so they that's something
- 18:29Speaker 3: they're thinking about as well.
- 18:30Speaker 1: Yeah, Like Superman comes out July eighth, which is a
- 18:33Speaker 1: week later, so that to your point not wanting to
- 18:37Speaker 1: kind of cross.
- 18:39Speaker 3: Yeah, you would not want to because Superman is trying
- 18:41Speaker 3: to eat up all the social attention, you know, so
- 18:44Speaker 3: you want to and.
- 18:47Speaker 1: That honestly, So we're talking about three episodes next week,
- 18:52Speaker 1: and three episodes the week of the thirtieth, then the
- 18:55Speaker 1: week after that July eighth, that's what Superman comes out.
- 18:57Speaker 3: Yeah, no, smart, They're geniuses. And I can't say no
- 19:03Speaker 3: more in that.
- 19:08Speaker 1: Say, hey, I still am just like, damn, I wish
- 19:10Speaker 1: I even all that being said, I'm so mad about
- 19:12Speaker 1: it because my thing is, remember it got moved around
- 19:14Speaker 1: a lot of times too. It was never supposed to
- 19:16Speaker 1: come about this time of day, in this time of year.
- 19:19Speaker 3: Again, I can't say anything, but I don't understand that either.
- 19:22Speaker 4: It was never but.
- 19:24Speaker 1: You can't talk about what I'm what I'm saying, which
- 19:26Speaker 1: is this is this is common.
- 19:27Speaker 4: No, I was like it was been supposed to come out.
- 19:29Speaker 3: I know I don't understand that either. That's what I'm saying.
- 19:32Speaker 3: I can't say why I don't understand that, but I
- 19:35Speaker 3: don't understand that. I do not understand that at all.
- 19:40Speaker 3: Now now, okay, now, the release schedule as it is
- 19:43Speaker 3: right now, when it's coming out, I fully understand, and
- 19:45Speaker 3: I actually fully appreciate. And I can say this because
- 19:49Speaker 3: I saw somebody saying that, you know, oh no, because
- 19:51Speaker 3: of that, it's trying to disappear off of you know,
- 19:53Speaker 3: people talking about it.
- 19:55Speaker 4: It won't, I am, he won't disappear.
- 19:59Speaker 3: Oh no, niggas gonna be talking about this the rest of.
- 20:01Speaker 4: You here you saying, Okay, well you're gonna have to
- 20:04Speaker 4: say that, man, I mean, that's this is the this
- 20:05Speaker 4: is not the episode for that.
- 20:07Speaker 3: Yeah, well that's all I'm gonna say. That's it.
- 20:09Speaker 4: Okay, but.
- 20:12Speaker 3: It will not, you know it, It'll be fine.
- 20:14Speaker 4: I mentioned Superman.
- 20:15Speaker 1: That reminds me of a quote that I read Rachel Brosnan.
- 20:20Speaker 1: Brosna hand, excuse me.
- 20:25Speaker 4: Relate to my man? Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm like, oh wait,
- 20:30Speaker 4: taking here's Pierce. That's not even the same person.
- 20:34Speaker 3: But wow, wow, Clampings do not look. What I was
- 20:45Speaker 3: trying to say was and you can't put it that racist.
- 20:48Speaker 1: What I was trying to say was Rachel Brosnan, who
- 20:52Speaker 1: was playing Lois Lane and James Gunn Superman. She basically
- 20:57Speaker 1: was telling everybody who's been in a comic book movie
- 20:59Speaker 1: who's not talking about it, they need to shut the
- 21:01Speaker 1: fuck up. Her exact words were, I don't know why
- 21:04Speaker 1: people say yes to a project only so then turn
- 21:06Speaker 1: around and complain about it. Then she say, look, I
- 21:10Speaker 1: don't want to shit on other actors. She said, shit
- 21:12Speaker 1: shot on all the actors. But there was a minute
- 21:13Speaker 1: where it was cool to not like to hear movies
- 21:15Speaker 1: and to look back on projects like this was pool
- 21:17Speaker 1: poo to them.
- 21:18Speaker 4: She said, do it or don't do it, and then
- 21:19Speaker 4: stand by it.
- 21:20Speaker 1: And then like right after, I don't know if this
- 21:23Speaker 1: is you know, shade from.
- 21:25Speaker 3: The variety from her.
- 21:27Speaker 1: They talked about Chris Simsworth talking to GQ about Love
- 21:31Speaker 1: and Thunder and saying, you know, I got caught up
- 21:33Speaker 1: in the improv in the wackedness, and I came a
- 21:35Speaker 1: parody of myself like like he was, you know, like
- 21:38Speaker 1: while he was doing it, it was all good in
- 21:40Speaker 1: the hood and then later on when people's not fucking
- 21:42Speaker 1: with it, he's just like, ah, yeah, maybe it was bad,
- 21:44Speaker 1: but it's just like she's just like staying on business
- 21:47Speaker 1: no matter what you can change it.
- 21:49Speaker 3: I don't think she's I think because they were also
- 21:52Speaker 3: talking about in that same article about people like the
- 21:54Speaker 3: Coda Johnson who shit like very hard on Madam Web.
- 21:58Speaker 3: Afterwards she got you know what was trash? Yeah, but
- 22:01Speaker 3: that's but you took the script and you knew that
- 22:04Speaker 3: scripp was trash.
- 22:05Speaker 1: I don't know, because remember that's not exactly how it
- 22:08Speaker 1: went right. Wasn't it not always trashed in the beginning,
- 22:10Speaker 1: or it would have different hopes and a different thing
- 22:13Speaker 1: going on.
- 22:13Speaker 4: And it morphed out of control. I've often already like
- 22:17Speaker 4: contracted to it, So.
- 22:18Speaker 3: What are you gonna do? Before I worked in the business,
- 22:21Speaker 3: like directly, I often wondered about that. I was like, Yo,
- 22:23Speaker 3: do people know they're making trash when they're making trash?
- 22:27Speaker 3: And having worked in the business, I would say, yes,
- 22:30Speaker 3: you know, like you don't know if it's like I
- 22:33Speaker 3: don't think you know if it's classic as much until
- 22:37Speaker 3: it comes out, but you will know if something shaky,
- 22:40Speaker 3: like when I worked through on American Gods. There's episodes
- 22:43Speaker 3: I thought were great, you know that we had plotted
- 22:45Speaker 3: out and everything I didn't. You know, they weren't fully done,
- 22:47Speaker 3: but just the plot was great. And there are other
- 22:49Speaker 3: ones where I'm like, I don't know how this don't
- 22:51Speaker 3: work out.
- 22:51Speaker 1: Dakota said it wasn't my fault in relation to madawebt flopping.
- 22:55Speaker 4: This is true.
- 22:56Speaker 1: This is a thing that happens now where a lot
- 22:57Speaker 1: of creating decisions are made by committee or maybe people
- 23:00Speaker 1: who don't have creative bone in their body, and it
- 23:02Speaker 1: was really hard to make art that way, so which
- 23:04Speaker 1: is why I'm just like, I don't blame her.
- 23:06Speaker 3: God damn though, like that's.
- 23:08Speaker 1: I don't blame her for sitting on it because you
- 23:10Speaker 1: probably can't until your point of like, oh, well you
- 23:12Speaker 1: could read a script.
- 23:12Speaker 4: No, yeah, sure, it.
- 23:13Speaker 3: Was up to that last line she had in the
- 23:16Speaker 3: first as.
- 23:17Speaker 4: I don't think what she came in with was what
- 23:19Speaker 4: it ended up as.
- 23:20Speaker 1: So she probably went in with thinking something was as
- 23:23Speaker 1: mentioned good in the hood and it morphine is something.
- 23:26Speaker 4: Real, real bad.
- 23:28Speaker 3: Nigga, You have seen all the Sony Spider Verse films.
- 23:32Speaker 3: How did you ever think they were gonna.
- 23:34Speaker 1: Sum you give way too much credit to people, because
- 23:36Speaker 1: how do you know Dakota Johnson seen all the spiders?
- 23:39Speaker 3: I know she doesn't.
- 23:40Speaker 4: That's Spider Man.
- 23:41Speaker 3: That's on her.
- 23:44Speaker 4: Okay, but.
- 23:46Speaker 1: You think she's wrong for saying that for you think
- 23:48Speaker 1: she's wrong for shitting on the movie.
- 23:49Speaker 3: Now, it was up till that last line. She had
- 23:51Speaker 3: me because the last line was like really disrespectful to
- 23:54Speaker 3: a lot of people who might have a lot more
- 23:56Speaker 3: creative bones in their body than her. You know, that
- 23:59Speaker 3: was like, there are you know, script writers? You know, like, yes,
- 24:03Speaker 3: a lot of people. I know who she's talking about.
- 24:04Speaker 3: She's about studio heads and stuff like that.
- 24:06Speaker 1: So if you know what she's talking about, then let's
- 24:07Speaker 1: not go to the stuff she she But why are
- 24:10Speaker 1: you doing that?
- 24:11Speaker 4: You know what you're talking about. You just said it.
- 24:13Speaker 4: She's not talking about she's.
- 24:15Speaker 1: Not being disrespectful. She's talking about the creatives. She literally said,
- 24:18Speaker 1: the people.
- 24:19Speaker 4: Who don't she said I don't like pancakes.
- 24:21Speaker 1: She didn't say fuck waffeles. Mm hmmm, you understand, Like,
- 24:27Speaker 1: let's let's react to what she said, which was people
- 24:30Speaker 1: who don't have creative bone in their body.
- 24:32Speaker 4: That was the situation she was in. They fucked her
- 24:34Speaker 4: ship up, and she was Web like, no, I'm sorry,
- 24:38Speaker 4: and I can't you hear too much.
- 24:40Speaker 1: And I'm telling you, I do feel like you know
- 24:42Speaker 1: this even as a writer, that ship don't be don't
- 24:44Speaker 1: end so a lot of times she don't end up
- 24:46Speaker 1: the way you came into it.
- 24:47Speaker 3: As it doesn't.
- 24:48Speaker 1: So I think she got set up and then she
- 24:50Speaker 1: was like, fuck, I'm on, I'm contractually obligated to sell
- 24:54Speaker 1: this ship.
- 24:54Speaker 3: I'm really gonna have to watch, madam Web.
- 24:56Speaker 4: No you don't my brother my brother than my brother
- 25:01Speaker 4: my brother.
- 25:02Speaker 3: No, you don't. Life is too short.
- 25:05Speaker 1: Life is too short for that ship. But let's listen.
- 25:09Speaker 1: I I had mentioned this quote for a reason.
- 25:12Speaker 3: Yeah, and I also wanted to go back to the
- 25:13Speaker 3: Chris hymnsforth part of that, because that confirms my suspicion
- 25:17Speaker 3: that that film was done by cocaine.
- 25:21Speaker 4: Could be just why they was having a great.
- 25:23Speaker 1: Time and was talking and he wasn't shitting on it
- 25:25Speaker 1: while it was happening.
- 25:26Speaker 3: It was.
- 25:27Speaker 4: I came down when I here and I was like,
- 25:30Speaker 4: oh wait, this was bad.
- 25:31Speaker 1: So all that to say, I wonder like, how y'all
- 25:34Speaker 1: feel the people listening, like, do you think, like, if
- 25:36Speaker 1: people going to do the Superhero movie, just do it
- 25:38Speaker 1: and don't shit on it later, or can you be like, oh,
- 25:41Speaker 1: I think people can change their mind, like nigga, I
- 25:43Speaker 1: made a mistake, you know. And and when I say that,
- 25:46Speaker 1: I don't mean it in a in a downing type way,
- 25:49Speaker 1: like when you're just like, like she said, like this
- 25:52Speaker 1: lady said, Rachel said.
- 25:53Speaker 4: Back in the day, people used to do that about
- 25:54Speaker 4: comic book movies.
- 25:55Speaker 1: They used to don't they try to belittle it, And
- 25:58Speaker 1: I'm just like, bro, don't believe it cause niggas below
- 26:00Speaker 1: it now because it makes money.
- 26:01Speaker 3: Yeah, that's what I mean.
- 26:03Speaker 1: If you're literally that, I have a problem. But if
- 26:05Speaker 1: it's just like, ah, you know what, that shit wasn't
- 26:07Speaker 1: really good, that shit really was trash, that's fine. You're
- 26:11Speaker 1: allowed to change your mind.
- 26:13Speaker 3: Yeah, that's like I don't mind that side of it.
- 26:16Speaker 3: Like I've talked about before, Michael Caine's famous quote was
- 26:19Speaker 3: I think it's for piranho too, And they're like, have
- 26:21Speaker 3: you ever seen them film these? I know, but I
- 26:23Speaker 3: saw the House at Bought, you know, like yeah, yeah, no,
- 26:27Speaker 3: I know, that's just garbage. And that's too but you know,
- 26:30Speaker 3: it brought me that crib.
- 26:31Speaker 1: And actually this says Superman open. I said the eighth earlier.
- 26:34Speaker 1: This says the open July eleventh. So maybe the critics
- 26:37Speaker 1: can see you on the eighth.
- 26:38Speaker 3: But yeah, but they are still that, like I say,
- 26:40Speaker 3: still genius for Ironheart. Really yeah yeah.
- 26:43Speaker 4: Still yeah, you gotta get it.
- 26:45Speaker 3: You got got to get out of the way of
- 26:46Speaker 3: that box. Yeah yeah, sure, or bad that is to
- 26:49Speaker 3: eat up, you know, like it's not good now I'm
- 26:53Speaker 3: talking about Superman, I know.
- 26:54Speaker 1: And I'm saying that situation is not good for her
- 26:57Speaker 1: to be stuck in the in the eclipse of Superman,
- 27:00Speaker 1: which is why.
- 27:03Speaker 4: But they wouldn't have to have done a two week
- 27:04Speaker 4: release if it didn't come out when it did well.
- 27:07Speaker 3: Such as Life. But they would have to do a
- 27:08Speaker 3: two week release for something, because that's the other thing.
- 27:11Speaker 3: Ironheart does not have the cultural you know, cachet to
- 27:15Speaker 3: like pull that off.
- 27:16Speaker 1: Like how many episodes did Miss Marvel have? How long
- 27:20Speaker 1: did it take? Was it every week?
- 27:22Speaker 3: It was every week, but you could say that was
- 27:24Speaker 3: a different time.
- 27:25Speaker 4: That was too.
- 27:26Speaker 3: Nothing else, Yeah, there was there was nothing else during
- 27:29Speaker 3: those weeks. This ship like, you're right, it probably should
- 27:32Speaker 3: not be coming out during summertime if you wanted to
- 27:35Speaker 3: release weekly, you know, But it's also different times they
- 27:38Speaker 3: didn't release there that were weekly. We saw how that ended,
- 27:41Speaker 3: you know, it was like you know.
- 27:44Speaker 4: And there's been some narrative changes in the MCU.
- 27:47Speaker 3: So yeah, so I'm not you know, look, I'm not
- 27:50Speaker 3: gonna you know, I'm I'm more wondering. And we can
- 27:55Speaker 3: say this like we won't even be able to distress
- 27:57Speaker 3: this up until shit they before, which is different for
- 28:03Speaker 3: you know, like that's usually not the case for a
- 28:05Speaker 3: lot of you know properties in general, you.
- 28:10Speaker 4: Get a large runway, and especially with.
- 28:12Speaker 3: The social runway, usually get a you know, like the
- 28:14Speaker 3: review runway, I understand day before, especially for a property
- 28:18Speaker 3: like this where there's to be a lot of hateful reviews,
- 28:20Speaker 3: just you know, cause people just want to hate, yeah.
- 28:22Speaker 1: And they're trying to and in some way they're trying
- 28:24Speaker 1: to protect it because it's just like you don't want
- 28:26Speaker 1: the hateful stuff to sit in there festering, fucking up
- 28:28Speaker 1: the review score either.
- 28:30Speaker 3: Also, I think it's because of some of the ship
- 28:32Speaker 3: that happens in the show, and they don't want people
- 28:34Speaker 3: saying it and now I kind of get it. Yeah,
- 28:36Speaker 3: I do kind of get it. Yep, all right, moving on, Uh,
- 28:42Speaker 3: we will be dropping a review you know, as usual
- 28:46Speaker 3: in our social thoughts when we are able to make
- 28:48Speaker 3: sure you're following on all those different channels because it
- 28:51Speaker 3: will be quite close to release date when we're able
- 28:55Speaker 3: to fully speak on this show, and Titana and I
- 28:58Speaker 3: are both extreme excited to talk about the show. I'm
- 29:02Speaker 3: already working on the all star review of iron Heart,
- 29:05Speaker 3: so that'll be coming as well. A lot of stuff
- 29:07Speaker 3: coming for the show. Shout out to the Cooglers. Man,
- 29:10Speaker 3: y'all back in a thousand this year, boy fucking out
- 29:13Speaker 3: the pardon fucking Ryan, I'm fucking hyph for all that
- 29:16Speaker 3: agent of Condon now, like yeah, yeah, And they've been talking,
- 29:20Speaker 3: you know, cash shit on the low and I love it,
- 29:22Speaker 3: you know they like every time I've seen somebody working
- 29:25Speaker 3: on each other, like, oh, we got something for y'all.
- 29:28Speaker 1: You mentioned Ryan, did you hear the I don't know
- 29:30Speaker 1: how true is this word on the street.
- 29:31Speaker 4: That like it's probably true.
- 29:33Speaker 1: It's evil that since you know, for the first what
- 29:38Speaker 1: twenty five years, they own the rights. How WB is
- 29:40Speaker 1: thinking about making a sequel to it, you know, and
- 29:43Speaker 1: even without Ryan, because you know Ryan has already said
- 29:46Speaker 1: publicly he's not interested in any sequel, you know, rightfully that, Like.
- 29:49Speaker 4: The Internet went up in flames on that because they
- 29:51Speaker 4: was like, fuck.
- 29:52Speaker 3: You, I don't believe it's true, only because the way
- 29:58Speaker 3: socials work and the way that w B has seen
- 30:01Speaker 3: the reaction to you know, this film.
- 30:03Speaker 4: Yeah, it's one of two things.
- 30:05Speaker 1: It's just one of the random aggregators that make us
- 30:08Speaker 1: ship up that just you know, made an image which
- 30:11Speaker 1: is what they do, and run with it, and it's
- 30:13Speaker 1: just fodder for for conversation like we're or some executive
- 30:18Speaker 1: actually sat down on the load of somebody and then
- 30:21Speaker 1: someone just threw it out there in the ether and
- 30:23Speaker 1: it just snowballs.
- 30:25Speaker 3: It could be the same thing. It could be both.
- 30:27Speaker 3: It could be some executive leads it to some random
- 30:30Speaker 3: aggregator because they want to see what they want to be.
- 30:33Speaker 4: What one of this idea the test you're right, Then
- 30:37Speaker 4: it could be both.
- 30:37Speaker 3: You're right, And I think they tested the waters and
- 30:41Speaker 3: saw hell no, that will not work.
- 30:42Speaker 4: I think the waters is too hot.
- 30:44Speaker 3: Yeah, it was very hot.
- 30:47Speaker 1: Hell to the naw I would not support nothing Sinners
- 30:51Speaker 1: related without the blessing or backing or leadership of Brian.
- 30:56Speaker 3: Could and no one would. Like I remember when I
- 30:59Speaker 3: saw this is another one of those take images you
- 31:01Speaker 3: talk about, like where they had him standing on the
- 31:03Speaker 3: stage with the Centers Universe behind him, like how does
- 31:07Speaker 3: and I saw for a second, I was like word,
- 31:09Speaker 3: you know, And then I had to google and I'm
- 31:11Speaker 3: like sake au.
- 31:14Speaker 4: And I was like real, told you not and told me.
- 31:20Speaker 3: I'm like bro for real, and so yeah, that's I mean,
- 31:23Speaker 3: it's no, I can't see it, and I'm not interested
- 31:26Speaker 3: in seeing it without him. I am interested in seeing
- 31:29Speaker 3: everything his brother does from here to the end of Returner,
- 31:33Speaker 3: you know, like I say, I'm super hype for Ages
- 31:36Speaker 3: of Wakanda now, but before it's just slightly hyped. Now
- 31:39Speaker 3: I'm like, okay, nope, all the way in.
- 31:41Speaker 1: Another thing I'm not interested in seeing. And this is
- 31:43Speaker 1: very controversial even for me.
- 31:46Speaker 4: I am and I am not mostly am not interested.
- 31:53Speaker 1: And AI created quotes and I only use, and I
- 31:55Speaker 1: use that very loosely the word create because AI creates nothing.
- 31:59Speaker 1: It just regurgitates what's been fad. But when AI creates quote, music,
- 32:07Speaker 1: that's a very much hell no for me. While there
- 32:12Speaker 1: may be some exceptional, very small reasons or or or
- 32:19Speaker 1: excuses why it may be helpful in some way or
- 32:25Speaker 1: outliers that have not that have yet to be defined.
- 32:28Speaker 1: For example, King Malonious. That's actually a friend of mine
- 32:31Speaker 1: who did BBL Drizzy. He you know, bibl Drizzy write
- 32:37Speaker 1: the song.
- 32:37Speaker 3: Yeah, and.
- 32:40Speaker 4: That one's hard.
- 32:41Speaker 1: And that's why I say this is this is very
- 32:42Speaker 1: controversial even for me, because he's in a great area.
- 32:45Speaker 3: Right.
- 32:45Speaker 1: The thing about AI, right there's there's wild wild west
- 32:49Speaker 1: right now.
- 32:49Speaker 3: With AI, there's no what he's saying and use one
- 32:53Speaker 3: of those voice things to get it.
- 32:54Speaker 1: The sing he wrote all the lyrics and then did
- 32:57Speaker 1: the props and to the to the AI, I forgot
- 32:59Speaker 1: where a service he uses, but he did all the
- 33:01Speaker 1: prompts and creating. I basically say, hey, I don't know
- 33:07Speaker 1: what his prompt was, but I'm just this is my paraphra.
- 33:11Speaker 4: Approach to this.
- 33:12Speaker 1: Whatever it was, right, edit whever he needs to edit,
- 33:16Speaker 1: and then here it is so, which is why I
- 33:19Speaker 1: said that AI.
- 33:21Speaker 4: In general is just.
- 33:22Speaker 3: And Wayne did on his first song on the Welcome
- 33:25Speaker 3: to the Carter on the the Carter six has from
- 33:28Speaker 3: M I understand the voice singing this chorus is.
- 33:31Speaker 1: AI, and and AI isn't such a as wild wild West.
- 33:35Speaker 1: Right now, there is no real legislation controlling it. There
- 33:39Speaker 1: are there are wishful thinking about how to deal with it,
- 33:43Speaker 1: but it's not regulated right now.
- 33:45Speaker 4: And this is what makes it so hard.
- 33:47Speaker 1: For like the example I just gave about Wolonious Kinglonius,
- 33:50Speaker 1: how it's such a great area where it's like, well,
- 33:52Speaker 1: this is someone who really is creating, someone who really
- 33:54Speaker 1: is writing, but he's using the AI as a tool
- 33:57Speaker 1: to mix and create something new. However, the AI in
- 34:01Speaker 1: and of itself, which is a misnomer, AI is an
- 34:05Speaker 1: intelligent this is.
- 34:06Speaker 4: This is not an A like the AI limit.
- 34:09Speaker 1: This is a This is a machine that is fed
- 34:12Speaker 1: human creativity, human existence, human thought, and then it uses
- 34:18Speaker 1: very complex math to mix it all together.
- 34:21Speaker 4: You know that guy on that on the IG that
- 34:24Speaker 4: does the that does the New York you know stuff.
- 34:26Speaker 1: But like that's what they do, that's what the this
- 34:28Speaker 1: is what the miss that's what the box does. Okay,
- 34:30Speaker 1: you throw a bunch of data into it that belongs
- 34:33Speaker 1: to other people and mixes it all together and then
- 34:36Speaker 1: approximates what it thinks should be a human output.
- 34:40Speaker 4: H that's what that is.
- 34:42Speaker 1: So imagine my disgust when I see and find out,
- 34:46Speaker 1: read and and dive deep into the situation that's happening
- 34:49Speaker 1: with timbaland Timberland I've always respected deeply as a producer,
- 34:55Speaker 1: deeply as a music artist, just deeply as a creative
- 35:00Speaker 1: dish stop.
- 35:02Speaker 3: Okay, the first half.
- 35:04Speaker 4: That's fine, this is about me. I've always like had
- 35:08Speaker 4: him on, you know, in very high regard.
- 35:11Speaker 1: And then this ship happens where Timberland like he's backing
- 35:16Speaker 1: this this big AI situation, like an AI was the
- 35:21Speaker 1: music label, and he does a few things.
- 35:24Speaker 4: One he'd veils an AI.
- 35:26Speaker 1: Which is an Asian quote pop singer named Tata and
- 35:30Speaker 1: it's it's not a real person, Okay, it's a it's
- 35:32Speaker 1: a Asian presenting AI that does hop music, a young
- 35:39Speaker 1: Asian woman at that. And what they said that is
- 35:43Speaker 1: Timberland Studio Records of demo, uploads the audio to Suno,
- 35:46Speaker 1: which is the AI production, and then Suno expands on
- 35:50Speaker 1: the arrangement and melody with human songwriters, adding lyrics, and
- 35:54Speaker 1: then it spits out a song, a completed song.
- 35:56Speaker 4: I guess if you want to say. And in some
- 35:59Speaker 4: ways I said this is the gray area. You could
- 36:01Speaker 4: just be like, all right.
- 36:01Speaker 1: Well, they're just they're mixing in their own creativity with
- 36:05Speaker 1: tech to make something new. But the problem is, as
- 36:08Speaker 1: I mentioned this quote AI, it's about it was built
- 36:11Speaker 1: on theft to begin with, a lot of this AI
- 36:14Speaker 1: is trained on human music, meaning music that was made
- 36:18Speaker 1: by by us for us, right, and no permission was
- 36:22Speaker 1: given for this to happen.
- 36:24Speaker 4: So this approximation output.
- 36:26Speaker 1: That is giving this new music is really just lots
- 36:30Speaker 1: of times bits and pieces of others people's music that
- 36:33Speaker 1: did not give permission for this to be used in
- 36:35Speaker 1: the first place.
- 36:37Speaker 4: So that's when you.
- 36:38Speaker 1: Look at it like, okay, well wait, is this truly original,
- 36:42Speaker 1: something new.
- 36:43Speaker 4: Or is this highway robbery?
- 36:47Speaker 1: And this is it's been a very sensitive topic for
- 36:50Speaker 1: many You're not and it's even getting deeply more sensitive
- 36:52Speaker 1: because people are being touched directly. The main thing about
- 36:56Speaker 1: this is literally Timmelin was unveiling a beat and the
- 37:01Speaker 1: producer of that beat.
- 37:02Speaker 4: His name's Kay Fresh.
- 37:04Speaker 1: He was informed that there is a part on that
- 37:07Speaker 1: beat that Timmelin, like you soon know to make it
- 37:10Speaker 1: has the producers tagging it no shit, literally and I
- 37:16Speaker 1: gotta see what the name of the user was because
- 37:19Speaker 1: I want to. And the TikTok creator is the one
- 37:22Speaker 1: who discovered Okay, excuse me.
- 37:24Speaker 4: K Fresh Music is the producer, and someone else.
- 37:27Speaker 1: There was another TikToker that that actually like made it known,
- 37:31Speaker 1: actually had an interview with K Fresh and they were like,
- 37:33Speaker 1: did you know about this? And K Fresh said, nah,
- 37:35Speaker 1: people kept sending it to me, and he doesn't know
- 37:37Speaker 1: what to think about it. Literally, Timlin is paying a
- 37:39Speaker 1: beat and you listen to the beat and it's just
- 37:41Speaker 1: like and the guy he's like, well, that sounds familiar.
- 37:44Speaker 1: Another one, it was one of his beats from a
- 37:46Speaker 1: few years ago, I think many years ago.
- 37:48Speaker 4: I think at this point where you.
- 37:50Speaker 1: Can literally hear the same beat Cadence and his producer
- 37:53Speaker 1: tag in it.
- 37:54Speaker 4: Bar from Bar.
- 37:57Speaker 3: Some of my thoughts on it is that this of all,
- 38:00Speaker 3: like I said, you know that you had me in
- 38:02Speaker 3: the first half of Timberland, is that I wasn't disappointed
- 38:05Speaker 3: in this from Timberland, is because it's what I expect
- 38:07Speaker 3: from Timberland. I didn't know better, Oh yeah, you should
- 38:11Speaker 3: have known better. Versus is when I think that was
- 38:14Speaker 3: my not last st Like I said, I think Tim
- 38:18Speaker 3: I mean when I talk about production genius, you know,
- 38:21Speaker 3: he is just one of the all time greatest. To me,
- 38:25Speaker 3: if not, like I don't like putting people on that,
- 38:27Speaker 3: you know, go, you know, this is the best. He
- 38:30Speaker 3: just one of the greatest, you know, like he is.
- 38:32Speaker 3: He is a genius mind producer, you know, and just
- 38:35Speaker 3: has contributed so much to music in so many ways.
- 38:39Speaker 3: I mean, I always talk about this, like people like
- 38:41Speaker 3: you got to go back to Jodice Diary of a
- 38:44Speaker 3: Mad Band, the second Jodasy album, because he goes producers
- 38:47Speaker 3: a lot of it, and there was a song out
- 38:49Speaker 3: there I'll never forget. Miss He's on it, and it's
- 38:52Speaker 3: like the first time I ever heard it. Me and
- 38:54Speaker 3: my boy were just like, Yo, what the flying fuck
- 38:58Speaker 3: is this? Because it just sounded so different. And it
- 39:00Speaker 3: starts off with this one beat and Missy's like chanting
- 39:03Speaker 3: this little wrap on it, and then that stopped and
- 39:08Speaker 3: a whole other beat starts, and that was like one
- 39:10Speaker 3: of the first times I've heard that on a you know,
- 39:13Speaker 3: hip HOPI ish R and B production, which is standard now,
- 39:16Speaker 3: you know, like sickle mode where it's like three different
- 39:18Speaker 3: beats on the song. But that was like one of
- 39:20Speaker 3: the first times I was like, who the fuck is this,
- 39:22Speaker 3: you know, And then a couple of years later the rain,
- 39:25Speaker 3: you know, down the line, and man's fucking genius. But
- 39:28Speaker 3: like I said, with Versus, he took something that was
- 39:31Speaker 3: a community, cultural thing that him and Swiss had full
- 39:34Speaker 3: ownership of. And both of these people are complete multi millionaires.
- 39:38Speaker 3: They will never want for a dollar in their lives.
- 39:41Speaker 3: And they sold it.
- 39:42Speaker 1: And they sold it, they sold it and completely disintegrated
- 39:46Speaker 1: any type of cultural cachet that was really what it does,
- 39:50Speaker 1: and now it doesn't exist right now, doesn't exist. And
- 39:54Speaker 1: they made a buck out of it, right, That's what
- 39:55Speaker 1: they did. They squeet, They made the buck and moved on.
- 39:58Speaker 1: And I understand Versus. It was like a flash flash
- 40:01Speaker 1: in time too because it was based off pandemic times.
- 40:03Speaker 3: But damn it could have been here forever. There's no
- 40:06Speaker 3: exchoosing that. But they went for the money. And that's
- 40:09Speaker 3: how I got saying. So I've and Swizz I've always
- 40:12Speaker 3: known is a money person, you know, And I get that,
- 40:15Speaker 3: you know. It's so it's no, it's not okay to
- 40:18Speaker 3: be a captains. Fuck that, you know what I mean?
- 40:20Speaker 3: Like it's okay to make money, but when you are
- 40:23Speaker 3: holding millions upon millions, it just becomes like for what, dude?
- 40:26Speaker 3: And then when you do moves like that, like they're
- 40:29Speaker 3: like he's had a lot of you know whatever moves
- 40:31Speaker 3: to me in his life. I think Swiss and Tim
- 40:34Speaker 3: are both genius music musicians. But when you sold out
- 40:39Speaker 3: versus that was it. And then this is like, you
- 40:43Speaker 3: know what I mean, this is just one of them,
- 40:46Speaker 3: like what the fuck? And all right? As a producer myself,
- 40:52Speaker 3: you know, I have used things like this is I
- 40:56Speaker 3: have a plug in where you can type in a
- 40:58Speaker 3: text promp like make these drums sound like Doctor Dre
- 41:02Speaker 3: two thousand and one drums, you know, and it'll be like, well,
- 41:05Speaker 3: now I've applied this type of reverb and this type
- 41:07Speaker 3: of reverb to it to make it sound like two
- 41:09Speaker 3: thousand and one. Now if you're drums ain't hitting like
- 41:12Speaker 3: Doctor Dre's drums are hitting, I don't kill what reverb
- 41:16Speaker 3: you put to it, it ain't gonna hit like two
- 41:17Speaker 3: thousand and one drugs.
- 41:18Speaker 1: I think that's so weird, you know, why to pass
- 41:21Speaker 1: it off as your own though, like no, no.
- 41:23Speaker 3: That is like, but that's just like applying the sound
- 41:26Speaker 3: or something.
- 41:27Speaker 4: Now, you mean like like like you're okay, okay.
- 41:28Speaker 3: Okay, Like no, I have my own drum and I'm like,
- 41:31Speaker 3: on this drum, put some reverb and some you know,
- 41:34Speaker 3: other effects on it to make it sound like the
- 41:37Speaker 3: dre drums for two thousand and one. You know, that's
- 41:39Speaker 3: just mixing technique. Okay. Now, I've also used this other
- 41:43Speaker 3: thing where it's like I'll play a bassline like doo
- 41:45Speaker 3: doo do dodey, and you put it into this program
- 41:49Speaker 3: and you can put different rhythms to it, you know,
- 41:52Speaker 3: where it'll make that baseline you know, different, sound different,
- 41:56Speaker 3: it'll have different complete melodies, all kinds of shit, but
- 41:58Speaker 3: it's still like what you input into a first now. Now,
- 42:02Speaker 3: the only difference is that that is eventually where you
- 42:04Speaker 3: getting today, where you can be like yo, computer dude,
- 42:07Speaker 3: or do joom dude, and now now fuck that up,
- 42:10Speaker 3: you know, and I'll probably be the one who's using that.
- 42:13Speaker 4: And that's what I mean, where it still comes from.
- 42:15Speaker 3: Your own thought process.
- 42:17Speaker 1: And that's why I mean why I'm like it's a
- 42:19Speaker 1: gray area because it's like while I'm mostly against it.
- 42:21Speaker 4: I also see the applications.
- 42:23Speaker 1: There are an applications that where I'm just like, okay,
- 42:26Speaker 1: if it's truly coming straight from you and you're using
- 42:29Speaker 1: it as a like like similar to a synthesizer, similar
- 42:32Speaker 1: to a MIDI machine, similar to if you're using it,
- 42:35Speaker 1: you're speaking to the mic and then you modulate your
- 42:37Speaker 1: voice like you're using technology to generate. Right, then that's
- 42:43Speaker 1: that's that's different to me, and I like a problem.
- 42:46Speaker 1: But then when the AI entered this picture, that's why I'm.
- 42:48Speaker 3: Just like, because I what's son on what they're trying
- 42:51Speaker 3: to get to is where and eventually it will be taught,
- 42:53Speaker 3: but right now it's just text. You know, you write
- 42:55Speaker 3: in make me a deep house song, you know, with
- 42:58Speaker 3: this type of feel, and that's where in that's like
- 43:01Speaker 3: really weird to me, you know, or like maybe a
- 43:03Speaker 3: hip hop beat that sounds like timbling, you know, like
- 43:07Speaker 3: that's weird.
- 43:10Speaker 4: Do you think that's just not enough? Level of like?
- 43:12Speaker 1: And that's probably also why like this is so hard
- 43:14Speaker 1: of the find because at what point, like say, AI
- 43:17Speaker 1: is utilized, at what point is it become acceptable? Is
- 43:20Speaker 1: there any point that it comes to is as soon
- 43:22Speaker 1: as you're using AI that shit not for real no
- 43:24Speaker 1: more is it? Like well, yeah, for percent of it
- 43:28Speaker 1: was me, so I could so I could say that
- 43:30Speaker 1: that's true.
- 43:31Speaker 3: And then that goes to like people would say the
- 43:33Speaker 3: same thing about I mean, that's most music, right because
- 43:36Speaker 3: people will always call out hip hop for sampling, for sampling,
- 43:39Speaker 3: but like the majority of music is based on other
- 43:45Speaker 3: people's chords, et cetera. You know, people reuse chords, speed
- 43:49Speaker 3: them up, slow them down, do all kinds of things.
- 43:51Speaker 3: You know, it's like that type of thing.
- 43:54Speaker 1: So and also this is kind of neither here nor there,
- 43:57Speaker 1: but Swizz and Timbling actually bought Versus back. They bought
- 44:02Speaker 1: the rights, They brought the ownership back to themselves. They
- 44:05Speaker 1: reacquired it last year. Yeah, they ain't done shit to
- 44:08Speaker 1: do a partnership with X. So right, I'm like nigga,
- 44:15Speaker 1: like y'all just keep going from bad to words.
- 44:17Speaker 3: Yes, why not just own it y'allselves? You know, might
- 44:20Speaker 3: it out like y'all been putting it out like money
- 44:23Speaker 3: and money, And.
- 44:24Speaker 1: You're right that, Like I should have known better when
- 44:26Speaker 1: it came to tim Timbling because it's just like it was, well,
- 44:31Speaker 1: there was two more things that he did, like when
- 44:35Speaker 1: he revealed when he and it was like, this is
- 44:37Speaker 1: going back to again when he first revealed that he
- 44:39Speaker 1: was he had the AI, the AI.
- 44:41Speaker 4: Music label, you know, and all that stuff.
- 44:44Speaker 1: Soon so he so he said, yeah, this is my ship, right,
- 44:47Speaker 1: So he put it out there and honestly and understandably,
- 44:50Speaker 1: the internet was like, what the fuck, bro, Like, you're timbling.
- 44:52Speaker 1: You're supposed to be the king of creativity that don't
- 44:55Speaker 1: need no machine, and here you go pushing this ship
- 44:58Speaker 1: that a lot of people know it is just theft
- 45:00Speaker 1: right in many ways, and this nigga his response was
- 45:04Speaker 1: he created him or his team or combination of their
- 45:07Speaker 1: own creating AI video response, that's like anthropomorphic animals like
- 45:15Speaker 1: talking shit to the internet, Like, oh y'all got a problem.
- 45:18Speaker 4: With the AI. You know, sucks to be you. And
- 45:21Speaker 4: then like then he played crime or River in the background.
- 45:23Speaker 3: Yeah, the one was huh, who am I kidding? I
- 45:29Speaker 3: knew I never had any bars like that was.
- 45:32Speaker 1: Like so like he was literally mocking everybody, and I'm
- 45:36Speaker 1: just like and that's I'm like, you have no empathy
- 45:40Speaker 1: and no like compassion, and that's why I'm just like I.
- 45:43Speaker 4: Should have fucking known.
- 45:44Speaker 1: Yes, I should have fucking known like it just it
- 45:47Speaker 1: was so fucked up and so disrespectful to like the
- 45:50Speaker 1: very people who got you where you are. Yes, it
- 45:54Speaker 1: was just such a crazy type of double dom response
- 45:56Speaker 1: to me. And then and then the second part of
- 46:00Speaker 1: this whole thing, which is as mentioned, he do this.
- 46:02Speaker 1: Oh and then you know when that producers said, hey, Tim,
- 46:06Speaker 1: you know, like like someone brought that up to Tim.
- 46:08Speaker 4: He think he said it all like a TikTok live
- 46:10Speaker 4: or something.
- 46:11Speaker 1: Tim was like Tim the mental gymnastics this man did
- 46:14Speaker 1: to say that it wasn't the same beat, that he
- 46:18Speaker 1: was just rearranging things and this and that, like it
- 46:21Speaker 1: was just lie after lie, like to justify what he
- 46:24Speaker 1: did and drive.
- 46:25Speaker 4: To say, nah, it's not the same be and we
- 46:27Speaker 4: are all like bread we have we we see this,
- 46:31Speaker 4: we hear it. We it's the same thing. The guy come.
- 46:35Speaker 1: And then the only part about it, Tim Lande was
- 46:38Speaker 1: lying talking about oh, you know, I told him, you know,
- 46:40Speaker 1: oh you should hit up ghost Face. This sounds like
- 46:42Speaker 1: a ghost beat. Ghost Face wants that beat. Kate Fresh,
- 46:46Speaker 1: the producer said, I have ghost Face number, ghost Face
- 46:50Speaker 1: has my number. We know each other. Ghost face, never
- 46:52Speaker 1: hit me up about this beat. So I'm like, you're
- 46:57Speaker 1: looking funny in the light.
- 46:58Speaker 3: Tim, I mean he already looked funny when he was
- 47:01Speaker 3: on the live with our brother Young Guru, and Guru
- 47:05Speaker 3: is explaining to him how AI like we said, I
- 47:08Speaker 3: don't even like using that works. It's not intelligent at all,
- 47:11Speaker 3: how the copy machine.
- 47:12Speaker 1: And Guru was in the comments on coming section on
- 47:15Speaker 1: all of them posts. I was, I was in those
- 47:17Speaker 1: posts he did, trying to help. He was like, timbling
- 47:21Speaker 1: is not the way.
- 47:21Speaker 3: No. He did a video live with him where he
- 47:24Speaker 3: was on it with him and he and Timbland is
- 47:26Speaker 3: trying to explain because Timbland doesn't even know how it's trained.
- 47:30Speaker 3: He thought it was trained off a music theory, like
- 47:32Speaker 3: somehow they're feeding a computer music theory and then.
- 47:35Speaker 4: It'd be different. But that's not what's happened, and.
- 47:37Speaker 3: That's not how it works. That's not how it works.
- 47:40Speaker 1: And that's what I'm saying. Then, how dare you not
- 47:42Speaker 1: know how it works? But then double down, be disrespectful
- 47:46Speaker 1: and be a I almost said a different word, but
- 47:49Speaker 1: just be fucked up about this.
- 47:51Speaker 3: Well, that's the money.
- 47:53Speaker 1: Don't know. You can't you can't tell me. You must
- 47:56Speaker 1: know something. You can't feign ignorant in one hand, but
- 48:01Speaker 1: then on the other hand you're telling me or I
- 48:03Speaker 1: don't know, ship, go go go make some money.
- 48:05Speaker 4: Get the fuck out my face, Like, which one.
- 48:07Speaker 3: Is it that exactly.
- 48:11Speaker 4: That you don't give a fuck. I am a realist.
- 48:15Speaker 4: Tell me you don't give a fuck.
- 48:17Speaker 1: Tell me that so I know where we stand stand
- 48:20Speaker 1: on your own bullshit and I'm with that because now
- 48:23Speaker 1: I know who you are.
- 48:24Speaker 4: I don't know problem with that.
- 48:25Speaker 3: And this is my issue, like whenever someone brings up
- 48:29Speaker 3: using AI to me in that nature is that it
- 48:32Speaker 3: will never allow for the creation of a new Timblan
- 48:35Speaker 3: because all it's ever going to do is take what
- 48:37Speaker 3: Timbland has done and redo that in a different way.
- 48:41Speaker 3: It's never going to allow for the creation of a
- 48:43Speaker 3: new And when I say Temblate, I mean anyone you know, MADONNAE,
- 48:52Speaker 3: I don't care job, you want a name. You know,
- 48:56Speaker 3: it's never gonna make another one of these people because
- 48:59Speaker 3: it will just take what has been done. One of
- 49:01Speaker 3: my this is great come up book, and I mean,
- 49:03Speaker 3: this joint is so old, but it was a Superman
- 49:06Speaker 3: gets into this fight with this character, I mean, not Superman,
- 49:09Speaker 3: Captain America, the whole Avengers get into this fight with
- 49:11Speaker 3: this character, the super Adaptoid, and the super Adaptoid is
- 49:15Speaker 3: this robot that anyone he meets he can adapt. So
- 49:18Speaker 3: when he meets Captain America, boom, he instantly becomes a
- 49:21Speaker 3: copy of Captain America. And then he gets Thor's hammer,
- 49:24Speaker 3: and then he gets that that you know, eventually he's
- 49:26Speaker 3: dumb powerful, and eventually, by absorbing all these different people
- 49:29Speaker 3: he like in this fight. You know, in these series
- 49:32Speaker 3: of issues, the super Adaptoy becomes like beyond their level powerful,
- 49:38Speaker 3: you know, I mean, able to shape reality at his will,
- 49:40Speaker 3: do whatever he wants. So Captain America challenges him. It's
- 49:45Speaker 3: like the problem is, you can't think of anything. All
- 49:49Speaker 3: you can do is copy. And he's like, you can't
- 49:53Speaker 3: create anything new, And he challenges him to create something
- 49:56Speaker 3: new and he can't. There's nothing.
- 50:00Speaker 4: You're a local gin, You're a copy.
- 50:02Speaker 3: Yeah, And eventually he gets gonna beat him by telling
- 50:04Speaker 3: him he doesn't even know what life or death is
- 50:06Speaker 3: and you need to imitate death, and a nigga dies.
- 50:08Speaker 3: So you know, I don't know that was trying of weird,
- 50:10Speaker 3: but I just always loved the first part of it,
- 50:13Speaker 3: when it's like, yo, you cannot create anything new, and
- 50:16Speaker 3: that stuck with me into this day. I do not
- 50:19Speaker 3: think people understand that it's like, you can't create new
- 50:22Speaker 3: themes when you use this type of stuff. You have
- 50:25Speaker 3: to put your own brain and even like the limited
- 50:28Speaker 3: you know, the AI that after and now when they
- 50:30Speaker 3: when people ask them, yo, can you create stuff like Nah,
- 50:33Speaker 3: we don't understand humanity, so we can't create.
- 50:36Speaker 1: The last two points I wanted to make about this
- 50:39Speaker 1: is just about the mindset, and I'm gonna do the
- 50:42Speaker 1: one side of the mindset and the other side of
- 50:44Speaker 1: the mindset. So the one side of myset that I'm
- 50:45Speaker 1: just still very much disappointed over is Swiss Beats, right,
- 50:49Speaker 1: that's his versus collaborator his when you mentioned that live
- 50:53Speaker 1: that Guru was on.
- 50:54Speaker 4: But so there was a live that that lie was.
- 50:56Speaker 1: With tim Swizz Guru and nineteen Keys, and Swizz was
- 51:01Speaker 1: defending Timbo and he said, you know, it's important for
- 51:06Speaker 1: black creators to get into the AI mix since white
- 51:08Speaker 1: creators are already doing it.
- 51:08Speaker 4: And this is where I'm just like, here we.
- 51:10Speaker 3: Go like this.
- 51:11Speaker 1: Once I hear the sentence start that way. I'm like,
- 51:13Speaker 1: damn it, we're already on the wrong path. Yes, they say,
- 51:16Speaker 1: because all the white people in it, why can't we
- 51:18Speaker 1: get in it?
- 51:19Speaker 4: Again?
- 51:20Speaker 1: Not the right starting point. I'll explained why in a minute.
- 51:22Speaker 1: I don't care how. It's not how you start, it's
- 51:24Speaker 1: how you finish. So this is Tim's entry point to AI,
- 51:27Speaker 1: whether we like it or not. As an entry point. Twizz, however,
- 51:30Speaker 1: did emphasize the need for Timbo to be transparent and
- 51:32Speaker 1: inform people because even he was blindsided by the news.
- 51:38Speaker 1: Y'all gotta stop doing this just because, oh, well, white
- 51:40Speaker 1: people do it.
- 51:43Speaker 4: I'm not saying you can't do it. I'm saying, why
- 51:46Speaker 4: are we trying to be like that?
- 51:49Speaker 1: You can do it your way as a black person,
- 51:53Speaker 1: non black person, person from there, person from everywhere. Sam
- 51:57Speaker 1: I am, I am Sam, do it your waste. This
- 52:01Speaker 1: is not this type of argument where you can bring
- 52:04Speaker 1: that up. That's why I get upset when people say that, Well,
- 52:07Speaker 1: the white creators are doing it, so the white creators
- 52:09Speaker 1: are thieving, So you want to be a thief too, Well,
- 52:13Speaker 1: the white creats are making money of it.
- 52:14Speaker 4: I guarantee you're not gonna make the money those white creators.
- 52:16Speaker 4: Do you know why the game is rigged?
- 52:18Speaker 1: And that's why I'm just like, you can't start the
- 52:20Speaker 1: sentence that way. It's not the same type of argument.
- 52:23Speaker 1: We're not talking about fairness, like, for example, the influencers
- 52:26Speaker 1: who the white influencers get gets a thousand dollars and
- 52:29Speaker 1: the black influencer gets five hundred.
- 52:30Speaker 4: That's not what I'm talking about. This is not the
- 52:32Speaker 4: same situation.
- 52:34Speaker 3: No, it is like that, Like the idea is that
- 52:37Speaker 3: because they could have made the money, like let's say
- 52:40Speaker 3: with versus they could have made that money they made,
- 52:43Speaker 3: but it would have been a harder money making and
- 52:45Speaker 3: it would have took longer, and they took the easy
- 52:47Speaker 3: way and to quick check because the longer about you know,
- 52:50Speaker 3: eventually that shit was gonna make you know whatever, and
- 52:52Speaker 3: they would have owned it forever. And Swiss like like.
- 52:58Speaker 4: You mean saying, well, they're disrespect in the art, why can't.
- 53:00Speaker 3: We disrespect It's so wild to me, it is, And
- 53:04Speaker 3: it's like that's crazy. There's this company that I've seen
- 53:07Speaker 3: that they're like a merch company and they're like, we
- 53:10Speaker 3: need more black billionaires. And I've always found an issue
- 53:13Speaker 3: with that cause it's like, no, we don't. We don't
- 53:15Speaker 3: need any more billionaires, Like, no one should have that
- 53:18Speaker 3: kind of cake and it does not help anyone. Like
- 53:22Speaker 3: the idea that if we had a billion black billionaires
- 53:25Speaker 3: suddenly you know, well, I mean a billion black bearris
- 53:27Speaker 3: ain't happen. But you know what I mean, we had
- 53:29Speaker 3: ten more black billionaires like that money to trickle down
- 53:32Speaker 3: to negroes. It's not.
- 53:33Speaker 4: And I have to repeat again, I'm not saying that
- 53:36Speaker 4: we can't do it too. You can do it too, but.
- 53:38Speaker 3: Why do you have to do it that way the
- 53:40Speaker 3: way they do it? That's what I mean. And that's
- 53:42Speaker 3: I mean, no one needs a billion. I don't mind
- 53:44Speaker 3: a few mill of course, you know that's great, but
- 53:46Speaker 3: once you start getting into like how many millions do
- 53:49Speaker 3: you need? Fam like, that's when it's like, and that's
- 53:52Speaker 3: that white people should to me is to have money
- 53:54Speaker 3: to the exclusion of someone else, you know, like that's
- 53:58Speaker 3: never what my goal in life has ever to be.
- 54:00Speaker 3: You know, like, yeah, I don't get it.
- 54:03Speaker 1: Like I said, that was the side of the thinking
- 54:05Speaker 1: where I'm just like, damn man, like that. I'm like,
- 54:07Speaker 1: I know you were trying to help, but that did
- 54:09Speaker 1: not come off good either Swiss.
- 54:10Speaker 4: But then the other.
- 54:11Speaker 1: Side of things where I'm when I'm fucking with that
- 54:15Speaker 1: frame of thought. It actually came from Rob Markman, Rob
- 54:18Speaker 1: market at length about this and his his clip on
- 54:20Speaker 1: this was was brilliant and he was just like the
- 54:23Speaker 1: one thing he said that ship struck the biggest.
- 54:25Speaker 3: Court of me.
- 54:25Speaker 4: He said, what problem is AI produced music solving?
- 54:30Speaker 3: No, that's that is like when he said.
- 54:32Speaker 5: That that goes to it goes to everything with AI, right,
- 54:38Speaker 5: because one of the like I saw this a quote
- 54:41Speaker 5: from one of the dude who like runs one of
- 54:44Speaker 5: the biggest AI companies, and he's.
- 54:45Speaker 3: Like, we have no, there's no use for this. There's
- 54:48Speaker 3: no use and he said it and there's there's there's.
- 54:51Speaker 1: Could be argument, you know, arguably some uses, but it's
- 54:55Speaker 1: not in from this frame.
- 54:57Speaker 3: No, it's not in the layperson like I can make.
- 55:00Speaker 3: We see some you know, great scientists using it to
- 55:02Speaker 3: solve a problem, but I don't know about that because
- 55:04Speaker 3: like today I see this Google commercial, you know, because
- 55:07Speaker 3: they're trying to push their ask Google is an alternative
- 55:09Speaker 3: to chat GPT, and I think they asked Google just
- 55:14Speaker 3: like brat GPT. I think both of them. Are you
- 55:17Speaker 3: know I posted this thing the other day when I
- 55:20Speaker 3: was like, I asked chat GTP, and I'm like I
- 55:22Speaker 3: don't give a fuck, you know, like I don't care.
- 55:25Speaker 3: Like but anyway, this Google commercial was this this father
- 55:29Speaker 3: with their son was like, how do I get my
- 55:32Speaker 3: son to eat this food? And the you know, the
- 55:36Speaker 3: system was like elice when you draw Smoley faces, My god,
- 55:40Speaker 3: damn nigga, you just that dumb You don't remember your
- 55:43Speaker 3: fucking son, nigga? Like what the fuck are people doing
- 55:46Speaker 3: for thousands of years before they had this thing? Like
- 55:50Speaker 3: like you said, what problem is it solving? Not one
- 55:53Speaker 3: that you get off your fucking self. You're a terrible
- 55:57Speaker 3: father person this commercial, and Rob continued.
- 56:01Speaker 1: What problem is being solved? Like what problems? Like he
- 56:05Speaker 1: was like, there's no shortage, like right now. The barriers
- 56:09Speaker 1: of entry, not to say and and the barriers are
- 56:10Speaker 1: entry different the barriers of success.
- 56:12Speaker 4: Let's be very real barriers entry meaning.
- 56:14Speaker 1: Anyone could produce the song, anyone can release a song,
- 56:17Speaker 1: anyone can get it on a TSP, literally anyone, right,
- 56:20Speaker 1: and that does again, access does not equal success, that's understood. No,
- 56:25Speaker 1: And that's like like there's there's all those barriers are down.
- 56:29Speaker 1: There are countless songwriters, there are countless music makers, there
- 56:32Speaker 1: are countless artists of every sort, writers, instruments, you know,
- 56:37Speaker 1: all sorts of shit in real life made by humans.
- 56:40Speaker 4: So what you need to turn to an AI for is.
- 56:43Speaker 1: Essentially what his his statement was, Rob was talking about,
- 56:46Speaker 1: and I was just when he said that shit about
- 56:48Speaker 1: what is the problem?
- 56:49Speaker 4: And I could not think of the fucking problem?
- 56:51Speaker 3: And it's like, because it goes to something that I
- 56:54Speaker 3: realize is that a lot of the people who are
- 56:56Speaker 3: proponents of AI are of the conservative ILK. I would say,
- 57:03Speaker 3: because conservative people don't believe that anyone has ever been oppressed,
- 57:07Speaker 3: you know, for the most part, right, they don't, you know,
- 57:09Speaker 3: get up on your own bootstraps, et cetera. And music
- 57:13Speaker 3: and art comes out of oppression, you know, like that's
- 57:17Speaker 3: the majority of art comes out of pain and feeling it.
- 57:20Speaker 3: So if you don't believe in that, you don't believe
- 57:22Speaker 3: that you know the basis of making art. If you
- 57:26Speaker 3: don't believe that people are oppressed, you're not gonna believe
- 57:29Speaker 3: that they made songs to reflect this oppression. And so
- 57:32Speaker 3: they want to because of that, they don't like they're believing,
- 57:35Speaker 3: like you geatekeeping by having talent is what they believe.
- 57:39Speaker 3: So they're like, well, I can, you know, take that
- 57:41Speaker 3: talent and now I can make the songs. And it's
- 57:45Speaker 3: just like you're missing the whole point. And like Rob said,
- 57:49Speaker 3: it's like the joy, the joy is in the creation.
- 57:52Speaker 3: Like people like I saw the one AI do was
- 57:54Speaker 3: talking about, no one likes making music.
- 57:57Speaker 1: You don't like, yeah, you know, nigga, you don't speak
- 58:01Speaker 1: for me.
- 58:02Speaker 3: I'll never forget. One day, I was sitting there producing
- 58:04Speaker 3: a beat and I was like, yo, this is my
- 58:06Speaker 3: favorite video game. You know what I mean? Like this
- 58:09Speaker 3: is now my favorite video game. Like it's not a game,
- 58:12Speaker 3: but that's how I felt about. It's like I'm sitting
- 58:13Speaker 3: in my computer and instead of playing you know, Overwatch
- 58:17Speaker 3: or whatever, I'm making this beat. I'm like, this is
- 58:19Speaker 3: the fun, the best fun I can have. And that's
- 58:22Speaker 3: something else. Like I made a video today talk about
- 58:24Speaker 3: I just released a new song on band camp, SoundCloud,
- 58:28Speaker 3: et cetera. A big djenergy dot com please go over
- 58:31Speaker 3: there and leave your email and all that, and I
- 58:33Speaker 3: was talking about how I don't you know, it's like
- 58:36Speaker 3: it's stressful like releasing music more so than it is
- 58:40Speaker 3: making it for me, because it's like the idea of that.
- 58:43Speaker 3: Right now, there's like twenty thousand songs a day being
- 58:46Speaker 3: uploaded to SoundCloud, and there's you know, AI people making
- 58:50Speaker 3: songs and tembling over here, pushing the AI artists. But like,
- 58:54Speaker 3: at the same time, I so enjoy the action of
- 58:59Speaker 3: making the music that I'm going to continue to do it,
- 59:02Speaker 3: and I want people to hear what I've done, so
- 59:04Speaker 3: I'm going to continue to release it and just figure
- 59:06Speaker 3: out ways to get people to hear, you know, as
- 59:08Speaker 3: much as I can. So I just don't understand that idea,
- 59:12Speaker 3: Like when I read that about it, I do. When he
- 59:14Speaker 3: was like, people don't enjoy music, I'm like, no, no, soulless,
- 59:18Speaker 3: brain dead people like you don't enjoy making music. And
- 59:20Speaker 3: like you said, talk Town, it's like the barriers are
- 59:23Speaker 3: so low, you know, Like I always tell people, anyone
- 59:26Speaker 3: you know can learn the DJ. These days, it's so
- 59:29Speaker 3: much easier than it was when I first started. Music
- 59:33Speaker 3: is so much easier then. I mean, it becomes easier
- 59:36Speaker 3: every day. So I'm like, if you don't enjoyed it,
- 59:39Speaker 3: what it is to make music, nowadays, then you shouldn't be.
- 59:43Speaker 4: You don't like it, and I don't know, maybe people
- 59:45Speaker 4: think it is.
- 59:46Speaker 1: It's not like if it doesn't he that's your natural
- 59:49Speaker 1: talent and it's something you have to learn.
- 59:51Speaker 4: Find joy in learning like that to be hard. That's
- 59:55Speaker 4: part of the process. That's literally how we as humans learn.
- 59:58Speaker 1: It doesn't make sense at for when you was a
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: child that the idea of walking was foreign as fuck,
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: left and right, Nigga, what what.
- 1:00:10Speaker 4: Some of us figure it out right?
- 1:00:11Speaker 3: And it's so weird to me because it's like it's
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: like to I don't know people, I don't want to
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: call them lazy, but I feel like they're not getting
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: how great the journey is. Right, Like over the time
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: that I've started learning to produce music, and I've been
- 1:00:27Speaker 3: DJing forever, you know what I mean. But just over
- 1:00:29Speaker 3: the time that I've learned to produce music and now
- 1:00:32Speaker 3: learning to mix music and engineer music, I hear music
- 1:00:36Speaker 3: so differently now, and that's so cool to me because
- 1:00:39Speaker 3: it's like my ears had to be trained to do that,
- 1:00:42Speaker 3: even though they've been trained as a DJ all these years.
- 1:00:45Speaker 3: Because I learned to hear music in a completely different way.
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: When I started DJing. But now it's like I hear
- 1:00:48Speaker 3: music in a other different way, and it's like if
- 1:00:51Speaker 3: I told a computer to make these beats, that would
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: have never happened.
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: Everything you do in this life as a human being
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: is learned, the most mundane thing, including typing.
- 1:01:02Speaker 4: On your phone. You didn't know how to do that.
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: You making a text message, it's the most mundane action
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: that a lot of people just be like, ahs, whatever.
- 1:01:11Speaker 4: But it required learning.
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: There was a time when you were too little or
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: just wasn't clicking for you, where it didn't make any sense,
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: just like with being able to read it. Just little
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: kid looks at it, looks a little piece of paper
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: and they're like, what the fuck is that?
- 1:01:24Speaker 4: Right, looks like simplish, Who the hell knows what that is? Right?
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: But it required constant learning, it required assistance, It required,
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: like you said, the joy of the of the journey,
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: and and yes the journey wasn't always joyful.
- 1:01:40Speaker 4: The tears came along with it.
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: But it's just like that idea that maybe people want
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: those short they don't want the pain, They just want
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: to get to the the angle. But y'all do know
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: the angle don't mean money. Right, because that might not
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: happen either. Then what the angle don't mean you're a
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: successful DJ or you're a successful artist, like you could
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: still be in the trench with everybody else with your stolen.
- 1:02:04Speaker 4: Music and understand like it's wild to me. It's just.
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: It's not so much and I'm gonna even give it
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: to them. It's not so much the aspect of like
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: just trying the AI anyway, it's the attitude behind it,
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: like fuck you, I'm gonna do this anyway. But like
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: that's what gets me. I'm just like, damn, so we
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: don't even want to listen.
- 1:02:26Speaker 4: I mean, it was the original creator I had to
- 1:02:29Speaker 4: say about it.
- 1:02:29Speaker 3: Yeah, to me, it was just like from the jump,
- 1:02:31Speaker 3: like I said, I I've long since written off Tim
- 1:02:34Speaker 3: and Swiss as pure capitalists. But when he made the
- 1:02:37Speaker 3: announcement talk about I've invented a new genre of music.
- 1:02:41Speaker 3: I mean genre is like the dumbest bullshit in the
- 1:02:44Speaker 3: world first of all, and the audacity to be like
- 1:02:48Speaker 3: or he said, I'm not producing songs anymore. I'm producing
- 1:02:52Speaker 3: stories and systems like niggas and taking the mouth. You
- 1:02:59Speaker 3: know what i mean. I'm talking about your own you know,
- 1:03:01Speaker 3: because it's like, let's not sucking, you know, let's not.
- 1:03:05Speaker 4: I'm gonna end.
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: This was something a little lighter and and this is
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: this is not exactly what is meant by this phrase,
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: but you live long enough to see yourself become the villain.
- 1:03:17Speaker 4: Not exactly what was meant by that, but this is
- 1:03:19Speaker 4: this is it was it?
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: That phrase means no no no no no no no.
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: What I mean what I mean?
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: Why that There's another take on that phrase is that
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: like you're you're you're constantly doing good that the people
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: turn on you.
- 1:03:39Speaker 4: Like that's what I'm saying. That's a that's another The
- 1:03:44Speaker 4: take is you lived long enough to see yourself become
- 1:03:46Speaker 4: the villain. My nigga and you.
- 1:03:48Speaker 3: That's the ke you know that's to take. Well, you
- 1:03:52Speaker 3: know that's just hating on me. That's the take you
- 1:03:54Speaker 3: would take.
- 1:03:55Speaker 4: No, not hated. You're being the villain right now. Not agree.
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: And my niggas was trying to tell you in the
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: chat chat, was trying to tell you please don't ruin
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: your legacy on this ship.
- 1:04:05Speaker 3: Bro. But that's the thing, like I said, again, we
- 1:04:07Speaker 3: should have been there. He did trifling ship with the
- 1:04:09Speaker 3: LEAs legacy. He did uh super trifling ship with Biggie
- 1:04:15Speaker 3: with AI that people quit to forget, and Groog called
- 1:04:18Speaker 3: his out, I.
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: Don't know what you tell me.
- 1:04:21Speaker 4: I don't even know that shit happened.
- 1:04:23Speaker 3: Was on his ig and dropped the song that I
- 1:04:25Speaker 3: guess he made it beat now who even knows, but
- 1:04:28Speaker 3: he had an Ai Biggie rapping over it, and at
- 1:04:31Speaker 3: one point Biggie said, what did he say? Oh my god,
- 1:04:34Speaker 3: it was so terrible. It was like a current phrase
- 1:04:36Speaker 3: like uh, period?
- 1:04:38Speaker 4: Did he say period?
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: No?
- 1:04:40Speaker 3: It was like, uh, what's the feels? Like? Oh god,
- 1:04:46Speaker 3: I remember me and tie Ty the Robot were both
- 1:04:48Speaker 3: like what the fuck? It was some yeah shout out
- 1:04:53Speaker 3: to tie It was some current phrase that Biggie said. Well,
- 1:04:57Speaker 3: it was just like it was like it was like
- 1:04:59Speaker 3: him saying yeah, it's like I'm saying period, you know.
- 1:05:02Speaker 3: And it was like you was in current a V.
- 1:05:04Speaker 4: And it's just like you weren't around for.
- 1:05:06Speaker 3: That, you did, You've been dead Like you know, no,
- 1:05:08Speaker 3: this is man, but you've been dead, bro, you know
- 1:05:10Speaker 3: what I mean? Like no, and it was and Tim
- 1:05:13Speaker 3: was like and what really hurt me the most was
- 1:05:16Speaker 3: when he was like, you know, I never got to
- 1:05:18Speaker 3: work with biggie, and now I have no you didn't like, No, no,
- 1:05:23Speaker 3: you didn't and what everybody said in the comments, and
- 1:05:25Speaker 3: you know, obviously you know he did not care because
- 1:05:27Speaker 3: he continued down in his path and that check cleared.
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: And I'm just giving Timbo the uh, the Leonardo DiCaprio squint,
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: you know from inception when he's just looking at his
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: man's like, that's that's.
- 1:05:40Speaker 4: The twin I'm giving him right now.
- 1:05:41Speaker 3: I'm giving him the onward hope. You know what I mean.
- 1:05:46Speaker 3: And I mean that, you know, onward hope.
- 1:05:49Speaker 4: You know, did you have anything else?
- 1:05:58Speaker 3: No? No, I think I think you know. It's thank God.
- 1:06:02Speaker 3: I mean, look, man, man, you know damn it. You
- 1:06:05Speaker 3: know it hurts like it hurts because I love this nigga.
- 1:06:09Speaker 3: Like that Yo, that nigga took Devo and made that
- 1:06:13Speaker 3: tweet song. Like the way he flipped that Devo shit
- 1:06:16Speaker 3: in the tweet, It's like, God, this nigga's insane. You know.
- 1:06:21Speaker 3: It's like, as a producer, it's like God damn. Whenever
- 1:06:25Speaker 3: I see these niggas who flip samples like that, I'm
- 1:06:26Speaker 3: just like God damn, cause I don't flip like that.
- 1:06:28Speaker 3: Like I do my little thing, but these niggas is different,
- 1:06:31Speaker 3: you know what I mean. And I'm just like, and
- 1:06:35Speaker 3: how you're doing this, Like you found joy in making
- 1:06:39Speaker 3: that music brouh, and you go take not like this,
- 1:06:43Speaker 3: not like this, Like Drew told me the story of
- 1:06:45Speaker 3: how shout out to young Girl when uh he came
- 1:06:49Speaker 3: to the studio and made the whole Loho Veto beat
- 1:06:52Speaker 3: in front of him, m in like twenty minutes or something,
- 1:06:55Speaker 3: you know, thirty minutes, that whole joint, you know, like
- 1:06:58Speaker 3: because Jay didn't want no old for that album, so
- 1:07:00Speaker 3: he made that ship right there.
- 1:07:03Speaker 4: Mmm.
- 1:07:05Speaker 3: Like we you know everyone's seen that video when he
- 1:07:07Speaker 3: plays Jay all those beats, you know, like he plays
- 1:07:09Speaker 3: in the Ludacris took that beat, the potion beat, He
- 1:07:12Speaker 3: played him that and he plays dirt off your shoulder.
- 1:07:14Speaker 4: Like I feel like we're mourning somebody already.
- 1:07:18Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, like you know, it is just you know,
- 1:07:21Speaker 3: it's like niggas die every day, be niggas die in
- 1:07:24Speaker 3: different ways. Like this shit is terrible.
