- 0:00Speaker 1: Time for stacks and hacks. I have stacks of information,
- 0:02Speaker 1: which has life hacks. It's kind of unofficially summer, although
- 0:08Speaker 1: summer doesn't start to like into June, right June twenty first, so.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Let's say that same Memorial Day stary.
- 0:13Speaker 1: But so here's some things to do around your house
- 0:17Speaker 1: to prepare you for summer. Okay, to prepare your flip
- 0:22Speaker 1: ceiling fans counterclockwise for better summer airflow. Never thought about that.
- 0:28Speaker 1: Flush your water heater to clear out any build up sediment.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Inspect your attic and cross spaces for leaks, pests, or mold.
- 0:35Speaker 2: Remember one time we find like a dead animal open
- 0:38Speaker 2: our attic. It was gross.
- 0:40Speaker 1: Test your smoke detectors, clean your dryer events, replace your
- 0:43Speaker 1: HVAC filters, Check your pipes and plumbing for slow leaks,
- 0:46Speaker 1: and clean out your guts before all the rain causes
- 0:48Speaker 1: the water damage.
- 0:49Speaker 2: I'm telling you very very important.
- 0:52Speaker 1: There's an article out about people who go dumpster diving
- 0:55Speaker 1: around college campuses. The idea is when students move out
- 0:58Speaker 1: for the year, they're ditching valuable furniture, clothing, electronics, and applaces.
- 1:01Speaker 1: And that's so true. They say it's like Christmas morning
- 1:03Speaker 1: every time they make it to me. A new report
- 1:07Speaker 1: says more than half of the calories Americans eat now
- 1:12Speaker 1: come from ultra processed foods, and the biggest offenders are chips,
- 1:19Speaker 1: packaged breads, sugary cereals, flavored yogurt, sodas, processed meats, and
- 1:22Speaker 1: frozen meals. I'm really getting into what I'm watching. I'm
- 1:26Speaker 1: really freaking out about the plastic thing.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Now.
- 1:28Speaker 1: I saw that almost everybody's got like the size of
- 1:31Speaker 1: a plastic spoon in their brain.
- 1:33Speaker 2: Yeah, like the microplastic. Yeah, there's so much of it.
- 1:35Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:35Speaker 3: They have vitamins that you can take to like detox
- 1:38Speaker 3: yourself from plastic.
- 1:39Speaker 2: You know that, right, Well, no, I did that whole
- 1:41Speaker 2: blood Sager removed all it.
- 1:42Speaker 3: But then I don't know. But you have the stuff
- 1:44Speaker 3: in your brain. How do you get rid of that,
- 1:45Speaker 3: the plastic with the stuff in your brain. I don't
- 1:47Speaker 3: know if we can get rid of it. I'm worried
- 1:49Speaker 3: about it though, every day.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Speaking of According to a recent survey, sixty eight percent
- 1:53Speaker 1: of the United States of US adults say a mental
- 1:55Speaker 1: vacation sounds more appealing than planning to take a real trip.
- 1:59Speaker 2: A mental they cation.
- 2:01Speaker 3: I'll take the real trip.
- 2:02Speaker 2: I'll take the mental vacation. I love.
- 2:04Speaker 3: I'd love to not take a trip anywhere. Let me
- 2:07Speaker 3: tell you, airports are kind of terrible right now.
- 2:10Speaker 2: I think my wife man over this weekend.
- 2:11Speaker 1: She was like, you know what, Kevin Row and his
- 2:14Speaker 1: wife are going to Cabo for the weekend to get away,
- 2:17Speaker 1: and there's a place we could stay right next to them.
- 2:19Speaker 3: Pass.
- 2:19Speaker 2: I don't want to go to Cabo. No, thanks.
- 2:21Speaker 3: Oh you know what.
- 2:22Speaker 1: You know that house that Kevin Road rents in Newport Beach,
- 2:25Speaker 1: fourth of July weekend, it's available this weekend.
- 2:27Speaker 2: We can go there to pass. I don't want to
- 2:30Speaker 2: go anywhere, thanks, sad.
- 2:33Speaker 1: A new report looked into the most desired body types.
- 2:37Speaker 1: The perfect male body type is fifteen percent body fat.
- 2:42Speaker 3: That's a little lower than dad bod, isn't it. It's
- 2:44Speaker 3: lower than dad bod. Dad body was a little bit different.
- 2:46Speaker 3: Things are changing now. I just had my body fat measured.
- 2:48Speaker 2: The other day.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Yeah, were you thirteen percent? Congratulates very much. We're working
- 2:51Speaker 1: really really hard at it. Thirteen percent. In fact, my
- 2:53Speaker 1: visceral fat, which is the really important one. Yeah, A
- 2:56Speaker 1: visual fat went from seventy six percent to sixty seven percent.
- 3:00Speaker 2: I was all excited. I told my doctor. She goes,
- 3:01Speaker 2: I'm a ten percent.
- 3:03Speaker 3: Oh y, thanks, okay, I can I just celebrate my wind?
- 3:06Speaker 2: What's your wind? Oh?
- 3:07Speaker 1: Yeah? The female body is thirty percent body fat. So
- 3:12Speaker 1: curves for women are in. Dad bods are out. Oh okay,
- 3:17Speaker 1: ads are out?
- 3:18Speaker 2: What do you have for life? Hex Rich?
- 3:19Speaker 3: I'm curious to ask you about this, john Ja, because
- 3:21Speaker 3: I wonder if you feel like this is true. This
- 3:23Speaker 3: is a little hack I saw. I haven't tried it,
- 3:26Speaker 3: but I feel like it makes sense.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Okay.
- 3:27Speaker 3: So if you ever want to know where your dog's
- 3:30Speaker 3: gonna run if they escaped, it's good to know that
- 3:32Speaker 3: so you can chase after them. And they said, here's
- 3:34Speaker 3: the move next time you go for a walk with
- 3:36Speaker 3: your dog, just to open up the front door and
- 3:38Speaker 3: see where they run. Because dogs are pretty much the
- 3:41Speaker 3: same in their mind, and they're going to go the
- 3:42Speaker 3: same way. So if they bust out of the house
- 3:45Speaker 3: like that, for a little felon that they are like
- 3:46Speaker 3: my dog Jango. They usually head to their favorite spots
- 3:50Speaker 3: the park, the fire hydrant, or the one bush that
- 3:53Speaker 3: they've been texting for a couple of years. So pay
- 3:56Speaker 3: attention where your dogs drag you, because someday they are
- 4:00Speaker 3: going to escape and you want to follow that route.
- 4:03Speaker 2: Does that track with you?
- 4:06Speaker 3: That cracks? Yes, So that cracks for John Jay, So
- 4:09Speaker 3: crack along that life hack and many more gonna be
- 4:11Speaker 3: fun to John Jay and Ridge dot com
