Speaker 1: I finally had to go and break down and get

Speaker 1: some medication because it started to disrupt my sleep. It

Speaker 1: was kind of weird. It was like you know how

Speaker 1: you lay down and you get ready to doze off,

Speaker 1: you know, right into that sleep, it was like I

Speaker 1: would get choked for some reason, just to sinuses and

Speaker 1: and you know, just you know, I mean, I don't

Speaker 1: want to gross nobody out, but you know, it was

Speaker 1: just it's just where I never experienced that before. I

Speaker 1: didn't know what was going on. I'm like, Lord, I

Speaker 1: can't breathe. You know, this is weird. I really can't sleep,

Speaker 1: So I told my wife to take me in and

Speaker 1: get checked out and stuff and gave me some steroids

Speaker 1: and you know, open up my airwaves. And I'm sleeping

Speaker 1: good now and so and a lot of it's getting

Speaker 1: cleared up. I'm still, you know, going through the process

Speaker 1: of taking the medication, but I feel a lot better.

Speaker 1: Silas were just rejected. Remember they went to Antioch, the

Speaker 1: other Antioch, not the Antioch that we know, the famous

Speaker 1: Antioch in the Bible, but this was another location called Antioch,

Speaker 1: and the Jews stirred up the people. They re see rejection.

Speaker 1: So we're gonna look at this and we're gonna see

Speaker 1: how they navigated through this, so that you know, it

Speaker 1: could be a blueprint for us, because I don't know

Speaker 1: if you noticed or not, but the rejection is still

Speaker 1: what we see again is the Gospel preach. We see

Speaker 1: the people that will receive and believe the Word. Then

Speaker 1: we also see the opposition that rises. But God still

Speaker 1: moves in the midst of it. So we're gonna take

Speaker 1: it verse by verse. Like I said, We're not gonna

Speaker 1: rush through this chapter. We're gonna take our time. Mamen.

Speaker 1: Verse when it says in verse fourteen, now it happened

Speaker 1: in like Konium, that they went together to the synagogue

Speaker 1: to the Jews, and so spoke that a great multitude,

Speaker 1: both of the Jews and of the Gentiles believed. Hallelujah.

Speaker 1: Now that is a beautiful work of God. You have

Speaker 1: to be anointed. Now, keep in mind, Beloved, before this time,

Speaker 1: people were not used to this type of teaching. Before

Speaker 1: this happened, these men were not anointed to the degree

Speaker 1: that the apostles are. They did not see signs, miracles,

Speaker 1: and wonders to the degree that the apostles performed in

Speaker 1: front of them. So just imagine this. This is a

Speaker 1: whole new teaching, a whole new doctrine to where the

Speaker 1: whole city is showing up to hear it, and not

Speaker 1: only to hear it, but to demonstrate God's power and

Speaker 1: man to allow God's power to be demonstrated before them.

Speaker 1: This was major revival. This was no small thing. This

Speaker 1: was huge. Beloved. Now, they first go to the synagogue,

Speaker 1: which is Paul's practice and which was it's appropriate right,

Speaker 1: because the Gospel is first to the jew then it

Speaker 1: comes over to the Gentiles. God is a god of order.

Speaker 1: If you look at the Jews as the elder brother

Speaker 1: of our family, right, he is the first born. The

Speaker 1: Jewish people have that first born position in the family.

Speaker 1: But this is a human family, right, this is God's family. Hallelujah.

Speaker 1: So they preach to the God fearing Gentiles, and they

Speaker 1: preach to the Jews, and the Gospel spreads outward and

Speaker 1: again both Jews and Greeks believe, proving that salvation is

Speaker 1: There is no racism with God. I mean he created

Speaker 1: all of us, right, He created all the colors. The

Speaker 1: only distinction that God makes is the righteous versus the wicked? Right?

Speaker 1: Are you a child of the devil or are you

Speaker 1: a child of God? What family do you belong to? Amen?

Speaker 1: And it's amazing that God gives us free will so

Speaker 1: that we have the power to choose which family we

Speaker 1: want to belong to. Amen. It's not like when you

Speaker 1: know us being into a family and so we have

Speaker 1: no choice who were related to. But being related to

Speaker 1: someone doesn't necessarily make you family. Loyalty, love and all

Speaker 1: that stuff makes family not necessarily just be in blood related. Hallelujah. Now,

Speaker 1: notice something important. They didn't quit after they got rejected.

Speaker 1: They didn't say, well, ministry is way too hard, I'm done,

Speaker 1: this is difficult, and beloved I am a blood would

Speaker 1: be transparent and say that I've been to that point.

Speaker 1: When I first started our ministry club his Hout Las Vegas,

Speaker 1: I thought people would be clapping and cheering us on.

Speaker 1: You know, first of all, they don't know the type

Speaker 1: of lifestyle that I used to live before I got saved.

Speaker 1: I was a womanizer, I was addicted to pornography. I

Speaker 1: was very immoral, a broken person. I come from a

Speaker 1: broken family. Yet God chose to use me. And here

Speaker 1: I am living, holy, living clean, clean my life up

Speaker 1: and now I'm here to encourage the next generation to

Speaker 1: live their life give a life to the Lord. Whatever

Speaker 1: they inspired to doing life, whether it's college or whatever,

Speaker 1: maybe include God. You know, allow God to use in

Speaker 1: and do God's will. You know God's purpose. That's the

Speaker 1: only way you will truly be fulfilled in life. And

Speaker 1: that was our message. But we were met. I was

Speaker 1: met with so much opposition. I thought people would be

Speaker 1: loving the Lord, people would be honest, they wouldn't steal,

Speaker 1: they wouldn't do all this stuff. Boy, it was I naive.

Speaker 1: And I got to the point to say this is

Speaker 1: too hard, Like I would never go into a ministry

Speaker 1: that God did not call me to, Like, why would

Speaker 1: you want that headache for yourself? Why would you take

Speaker 1: that warfare for yourself and your hell? To a stricter

Speaker 1: accountability if God didn't call you to do this, I

Speaker 1: wouldn't even play with it. Amen. And they simply moved

Speaker 1: to the next city, and they just kept preaching. They

Speaker 1: didn't say this was too hard. I'm just gonna go

Speaker 1: to the next spot. I'm gonna go to those who

Speaker 1: are open and guess what a great multitude believe. So

Speaker 1: sometimes your breakthrough happens right after your rejection. Let me

Speaker 1: say that again. Sometimes your greatest breakthrough happens right after

Speaker 1: your rejection. Amen. I even have a story about in

Speaker 1: our ministry. I was a little discouraged. Some of the

Speaker 1: local artists had decided to not support. There was one

Speaker 1: particular sister that kind of had me bummed out a

Speaker 1: little bit with the club. I don't know what it was,

Speaker 1: but like right in that season, there was an artist

Speaker 1: that was hitting me up that wanted to come. They
12:27
Speaker 1: wanted to come to club, his hop and you know,
12:29
Speaker 1: book to night, have a night out here at the club.

Speaker 1: But I was like so discouraged, I didn't even like
12:37
Speaker 1: return his call. He would hitting me up tough, but
12:41
Speaker 1: he stayed persistent and it wasn't that like I was
12:46
Speaker 1: trying to avoid him, And it wasn't that I was
12:49
Speaker 1: trying to hate him or nothing. I was just going
12:51
Speaker 1: through a season myself of discouragement. And so finally when
12:57
Speaker 1: I find out who he was, this.

Speaker 2: Guy is actually.

Speaker 1: As a pretty big name in the industry. He's coming

Speaker 1: from the secular world, and uh, we finally connected, but

Speaker 1: things didn't really we didn't connect all the way. So

Speaker 1: he did not end up coming to club his hob.

Speaker 1: He wanted to be on one of our shows, but

Speaker 1: it happened to where we didn't. All of a sudden,

Speaker 1: the relationship kind of went south. You know. Now, imagine

Speaker 1: if I didn't allow myself to be discouraged, Imagine if

Speaker 1: I just did like they did. Like you know what,

Speaker 1: if they don't want to minister, here's somebody else who does.

Speaker 1: And man, he could have brought a lot of attention

Speaker 1: to the venue. But at the same time, it wasn't

Speaker 1: Guy's will, or maybe it wasn't.

Speaker 3: I don't know.

Speaker 1: If God wanted it to happen, it happened, because sometimes

Speaker 1: people from the industry they could be plants by the

Speaker 1: enemy as well. I believe that may have been God's

Speaker 1: protection as well. I mean, I don't know.

Speaker 2: I guess the Lord will let me know on that day.

Speaker 1: But I did eventually apologize and you know, try to

Speaker 1: clean up my side of the street because I'm not

Speaker 1: perfect at all, and it just seems like, you know,

Speaker 1: he is really no longer interested to pursue any type

Speaker 1: of endeavor together. But you know, we put it in

Speaker 1: God's hands. But that's just an example of Hey, they

Speaker 1: went to the next city, they kept going, and I

Speaker 1: ended up getting discouraged. So I believe I lost out

Speaker 1: on an opportunity that would have been great for our community.

Speaker 1: But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles and poisoning

Speaker 1: their minds against the brethren. Beloved, be careful when somebody

Speaker 1: wants to come to you and poison your mind. Be

Speaker 1: careful of gossip and backbite. Right if somebody will talk

Speaker 1: about somebody else to you, trusting me, they'll talk to

Speaker 1: you to somebody else. They'll talk about you to somebody else. Now,

Speaker 1: when truth cannot be defeated, people will try to damage

Speaker 1: your reputation, they'll go after you. Now, notice the tactic

Speaker 1: they poison the minds of the people. They didn't debate it,

Speaker 1: they didn't discuss it with it. They straight up manipulated

Speaker 1: the people, and this still happens today. Manipulation is a

Speaker 1: form of witchcraft. Sometimes people reject truth and then they

Speaker 1: try to turn others against it as well. It's not

Speaker 1: enough for them to reject the truth, but they don't

Speaker 1: want others to receive the truth. That is so dominic.

Speaker 1: But watch what Paul and barnafas. Watch their response in

Speaker 1: the midst of this, Amen, remember guard your mind. The

Speaker 1: battlefield is in the mind. We got to cast out

Speaker 1: thoughts and imaginations and definitely don't allow other people to

Speaker 1: plant filing wicked thoughts in your head. Amen, Verse three,

Speaker 1: chapter fourteen. Therefore they stayed there a long time, spreading boldly,

Speaker 1: I mean speaking boldly in the Lord who is bearing

Speaker 1: witness to the word of his grace, granting signs and

Speaker 1: wonders to be done by their hands. Hallelujah, thank you Lord.

Speaker 1: words with power. Where is the power in the church today, beloved,

Speaker 1: to be invited. You need to invite the Holy Spirit

Speaker 1: into every area of our lives. Holy Spirit is a gentleman.

Speaker 1: prayer we ask him, O, Lord, be with us on

Speaker 1: our job, be with us at our school, be with

Speaker 1: me in the car today, be with me everywhere I go.
