- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Hey, guys, welcome to another episode of the Almost podcast.
- 0:09Speaker 2: They were going a little bit in depth with Lace Morris.
- 0:12Speaker 2: We're so excited. She's a new mom, a new mom
- 0:15Speaker 2: of five days. I can't believe we're getting her to
- 0:17Speaker 2: join us now. It's so exciting. Thank you. And also,
- 0:23Speaker 2: you know you guys, if you don't, if you don't
- 0:24Speaker 2: know the name Lace Morris, I'm sure you actually do
- 0:29Speaker 2: because she was a huge star on Ben season, and
- 0:32Speaker 2: she was a huge star and Bachelor in Paradise. We
- 0:35Speaker 2: were there for two seasons together. And Lace, welcome to
- 0:40Speaker 2: the podcast.
- 0:41Speaker 3: Thank you for having me.
- 0:42Speaker 4: Wait, so you've been on Paradise? How many times? Lace?
- 0:45Speaker 3: Twice?
- 0:46Speaker 4: Twice?
- 0:48Speaker 3: I was.
- 0:48Speaker 2: She was with me when Jared and I came back
- 0:50Speaker 2: for a little.
- 0:51Speaker 4: Bit, Case, I was like, how many times? Again?
- 0:56Speaker 5: Lace, We've promised our listeners now for the last week
- 0:59Speaker 5: that we're gonna have you on.
- 1:00Speaker 4: They're very excited because we did break down the headline that.
- 1:02Speaker 5: You are a new mother five days ago.
- 1:08Speaker 4: Five days you.
- 1:09Speaker 3: Had had to like not stop.
- 1:12Speaker 4: So yeah, well that's good.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Well I get that. I get it because when I
- 1:16Speaker 2: would just had Dawson they had me come on the podcast.
- 1:19Speaker 4: Or even when they had me, they forced forced me
- 1:23Speaker 4: to come back.
- 1:23Speaker 2: And I was like sitting around like a week or
- 1:31Speaker 2: so later, and I was like, well, I mean I
- 1:33Speaker 2: could do a podcast, like I can get in the
- 1:36Speaker 2: room and like talk on a mic and sit down,
- 1:39Speaker 2: you know when he's napping, like somebody else can hold
- 1:43Speaker 2: him for an hour. So I feel I feel you
- 1:46Speaker 2: on that. But there's a lot of things that I
- 1:47Speaker 2: also could not do at this point, like stand up.
- 1:52Speaker 3: Stand up, Ashley, I've ever done it, and you think
- 1:57Speaker 3: you think so. We have a lot of stairs in
- 2:01Speaker 3: this house, so that doesn't help.
- 2:02Speaker 2: So you've been going up and down the stairs a lot.
- 2:04Speaker 2: I mean, as I did, you know, you gotta go
- 2:05Speaker 2: to bed, you gotta do so I gotta go shower.
- 2:09Speaker 3: Yeah, but no, I mean I'm live from the bed.
- 2:11Speaker 3: So we're good.
- 2:12Speaker 5: Okay, So lace catches up a little bit here. You're
- 2:15Speaker 5: living where right now?
- 2:18Speaker 3: I'm in Denver.
- 2:20Speaker 5: You're in Denver, Colorado. Yeah, you're out here in Denver.
- 2:26Speaker 5: You are said you're super busy. So what exactly have
- 2:31Speaker 5: you been doing in the last five days that you
- 2:33Speaker 5: feel like you have overdone it, Like, how are you
- 2:35Speaker 5: kind of what is your time being used for right
- 2:38Speaker 5: now other than hey, doing exactly what you're doing right now,
- 2:41Speaker 5: old beautiful baby.
- 2:42Speaker 3: Well, I mean my parents were here. My mom's still here,
- 2:45Speaker 3: but my dad left, so it's been really helpful having them. Yeah,
- 2:48Speaker 3: but you still got to like get up and get food,
- 2:54Speaker 3: and you gotta change his diaper, and you gotta feed him.
- 2:58Speaker 3: And my dad was here, so I come up to
- 3:00Speaker 3: the nursery to feed him, and you know, just for
- 3:03Speaker 3: some privacy, and then I did get ready a couple
- 3:06Speaker 3: of days.
- 3:07Speaker 2: You got makeup on. Now you look fantastic. Thanks, you
- 3:11Speaker 2: look your hair's done. You look so amazing ready though, yes,
- 3:17Speaker 2: I remember the getting up to change diapers was like,
- 3:21Speaker 2: I that's not making me get off the couch, Like
- 3:24Speaker 2: I can't do it, like Jared to the majority of
- 3:26Speaker 2: diapers for the first few weeks, because it just hurt.
- 3:28Speaker 2: It really did, it really does. Okay, Well, Lace, you're
- 3:33Speaker 2: an open book. Can you talk to us about just
- 3:36Speaker 2: finding out you were pregnant and all in the beginning
- 3:39Speaker 2: of all.
- 3:39Speaker 3: This, Yeah, it was a whirlwind because I had just
- 3:43Speaker 3: gotten a new job, like a dream job where I'm
- 3:45Speaker 3: the marketing manager for the Ritz Carlton, and I'm like,
- 3:47Speaker 3: oh my gosh, this is huge. You know, just got
- 3:50Speaker 3: a new boyfriend. We were brand new and yeah, we
- 3:55Speaker 3: basically hooked up the first week and made a.
- 3:58Speaker 2: Baby the first week of knowing him.
- 4:02Speaker 3: Yeah, and I wasn't very smart about it and found
- 4:05Speaker 3: out four weeks later I was pregnant.
- 4:08Speaker 4: So I mean, was this like, what was your initial reaction?
- 4:12Speaker 3: I was. I couldn't really believe it because I'm like me,
- 4:15Speaker 3: I'm pregnant, Like no, there's no way, Like, yeah, I'm
- 4:18Speaker 3: not that I've ever tried, but I just didn't think
- 4:20Speaker 3: it was possible. So I thought I was tracking properly,
- 4:24Speaker 3: but I guess it wasn't. And I was just kind
- 4:27Speaker 3: of in shock, like pure shock. I don't know if
- 4:30Speaker 3: I could do it.
- 4:32Speaker 2: What was the conversation with him?
- 4:34Speaker 3: Like I was scared, but he was really cool about it,
- 4:37Speaker 3: and we just sat on it for a couple of
- 4:38Speaker 3: days and was like, what's the best option. Both both
- 4:40Speaker 3: of us were like, we gotta do it. We gotta
- 4:42Speaker 3: keep him.
- 4:43Speaker 2: And what's your relationship? What was your relationship like throughout
- 4:46Speaker 2: the nine months of pregnancy.
- 4:48Speaker 3: It's been a roller coaster. Yeah.
- 4:52Speaker 4: Is he local to Denver?
- 4:54Speaker 3: He's not. He's from Wyoming, but he lives here now,
- 5:00Speaker 3: a job here.
- 5:01Speaker 2: Yeah, So just tell us if you feel comfortable talking
- 5:06Speaker 2: or not talking about this. But I'm assuming he was
- 5:09Speaker 2: he present at the birth.
- 5:11Speaker 3: Yeah, he was there at the birth. He was present,
- 5:13Speaker 3: and he did great. Unfortunately, it was just not a
- 5:18Speaker 3: very fun eight months and you know, you don't really
- 5:21Speaker 3: know someone, so we had a rough time. We're still
- 5:24Speaker 3: trying to navigate, you know, how to coparent and do everything.
- 5:28Speaker 3: Excuse you?
- 5:29Speaker 2: Is he somebody who wants to be like involved or.
- 5:31Speaker 3: Yes, he wants to be in Liam's life. And he's
- 5:34Speaker 3: already a dad. He's already a good dad. But he
- 5:38Speaker 3: he's trying to be as present as he can. So
- 5:40Speaker 3: let's get as long as he is a dad, We're good.
- 5:42Speaker 2: Do you feel like you have enough of a village
- 5:44Speaker 2: around you right now?
- 5:45Speaker 3: I have an army behind me, so I honestly am
- 5:50Speaker 3: so grateful.
- 5:53Speaker 5: What's the I really want to get into two. I
- 5:56Speaker 5: mean the emotions now that you're holding Liam, like you're
- 5:59Speaker 5: sitting here and you're a mom five days again, which
- 6:02Speaker 5: is just wild that you're here with us, and then
- 6:05Speaker 5: I can see a little bit of Liam's you know face,
- 6:07Speaker 5: absolutely beautiful, Like what does this feel like?
- 6:12Speaker 3: It's so weird? I mean you know this actually, but
- 6:15Speaker 3: like it doesn't feel real. Sometimes you're just trying to
- 6:19Speaker 3: are you really mine? Am I really about to take
- 6:21Speaker 3: care of you the rest of my life?
- 6:22Speaker 2: I know I had a moment like that a couple
- 6:25Speaker 2: of days ago. I was like, you're half me, Like
- 6:28Speaker 2: I'm hanging out with you, You're half of me.
- 6:31Speaker 3: Yeah, I've been. It's been a really big emotional rollercoaster
- 6:35Speaker 3: with the emotions so high, obviously for a swoman, but
- 6:40Speaker 3: it's it's it's really hard, Like it's so amazing looking
- 6:44Speaker 3: at him, and I'm like, wow, this is so cool.
- 6:46Speaker 3: But then you're like I don't get my family. I
- 6:48Speaker 3: don't get that perfect picture that I thought I had
- 6:52Speaker 3: right in front of me. But so it's just every
- 6:54Speaker 3: day is different and some days are harder than others.
- 6:59Speaker 3: But when you look at him, you're just like so happy.
- 7:02Speaker 5: Yeah. I mean, Ashley, you could probably speak to this,
- 7:06Speaker 5: but like, what is it like as a mother as
- 7:11Speaker 5: your son gets older? And it does you know, you
- 7:14Speaker 5: do take care of and you do care for but
- 7:16Speaker 5: you like you no longer have to hold him all
- 7:18Speaker 5: the time every day, Like you're no longer like the
- 7:21Speaker 5: only source to have how they can eat uh or
- 7:24Speaker 5: clean themselves.
- 7:26Speaker 2: The pantry door, yeah.
- 7:29Speaker 4: And like do stuff.
- 7:30Speaker 5: So like what is that process like, because lace, I'll
- 7:33Speaker 5: be I'll be honest, like I'm listening to you. I'm like, yes,
- 7:37Speaker 5: it's got to be so hard like there and there's
- 7:39Speaker 5: no right, like like the obvious thing that's true is
- 7:44Speaker 5: like you're gonna be great at this, Like you're gonna
- 7:46Speaker 5: rock this, like you're this is all good and you
- 7:48Speaker 5: gotta army behind you. The other side of that is
- 7:50Speaker 5: like this is gonna be really hard, Like this is
- 7:52Speaker 5: really hard. This is probably like a shocking, confusing season.
- 7:57Speaker 5: But I say all that to say, also, like what
- 7:59Speaker 5: is it like actually as the like as your child
- 8:02Speaker 5: progresses and that like bond and relationship builds.
- 8:05Speaker 2: It's really gradual the way that it progresses. Like you'll
- 8:09Speaker 2: just be sitting there one day and then you're like,
- 8:11Speaker 2: it's so weird that you are asking for something specific
- 8:17Speaker 2: and like and you can sort of open the pantry
- 8:21Speaker 2: door and all that. It's just like how did we
- 8:23Speaker 2: get here?
- 8:24Speaker 3: It hasn't even been two years, Like how what?
- 8:28Speaker 2: So that's mind boggling. But for me, the bond just
- 8:32Speaker 2: grows every day. You feel so much more than every day.
- 8:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:37Speaker 2: Yeah, And the boys are obsessed with their moms, as
- 8:40Speaker 2: everybody kind of tells you when you're pregnant, and then
- 8:42Speaker 2: you believe it when they start because like six six
- 8:46Speaker 2: months ash, you're like, oh okay, like it's a mom.
- 8:50Speaker 3: I think it's weird too, because with the co parenting
- 8:52Speaker 3: right now, it's like, yeah, I'm realizing truly something I'm
- 8:56Speaker 3: I was always aware of a control freak, but now
- 8:58Speaker 3: that I have him, I'm fully aware that, Like I'm
- 9:01Speaker 3: a full blown control freak. And it's just like, even
- 9:04Speaker 3: when you know he's holding him or he has his
- 9:06Speaker 3: time with him, I'm just like being selfish. I'm like
- 9:09Speaker 3: I hate that time away from him. Yeah, you know,
- 9:12Speaker 3: it's like it's gonna be really hard. Yeah.
- 9:15Speaker 4: How do you guys plan?
- 9:17Speaker 5: Like, I mean, I'm sure you've had these conversations like
- 9:19Speaker 5: how is this gonna look or kind of what's your ideal.
- 9:22Speaker 3: In the midst of it. Honestly, we're trying to figure
- 9:24Speaker 3: that out. We're both unfortunately moving out of this beautiful house,
- 9:29Speaker 3: but we're gonna live separately and just try and be
- 9:33Speaker 3: a team.
- 9:34Speaker 2: Awkwardly, so you guys were living together and now and
- 9:38Speaker 2: now you're not going to Yeah.
- 9:39Speaker 3: Now we got the whole dream setup before he was
- 9:42Speaker 3: born and got an his house and nook and nursery
- 9:46Speaker 3: and everything, and then it isn't working. So I'm currently looking.
- 9:52Speaker 3: On top of doing all this, I have to find
- 9:54Speaker 3: a place to live as well. So, gee, where your
- 9:56Speaker 3: parents live? And they live in Missouri?
- 10:00Speaker 2: Did you ever moved back to Missouri?
- 10:01Speaker 3: I'm from here, but they just moved out there because
- 10:04Speaker 3: they like, oh no, I would never move to Missouri.
- 10:09Speaker 2: Okay, I'm not We're not laughing at Missouri.
- 10:14Speaker 6: I'm just I am.
- 10:27Speaker 2: Can you give us a little bit of your birth
- 10:29Speaker 2: story since like I'm and I love that stuff.
- 10:31Speaker 3: Yeah, I know, I love birth stories. And I'm like,
- 10:33Speaker 3: that's fascinating because Nowaday went through it. So I was,
- 10:38Speaker 3: I was on my d date and yeah, I did
- 10:42Speaker 3: this yoga thing I saw on online and she's like,
- 10:45Speaker 3: I went into labor after I did it, and sure,
- 10:47Speaker 3: I did it all day long and I'm like, okay,
- 10:52Speaker 3: all right, this hurts. And then the next. I couldn't
- 10:55Speaker 3: sleep that night. I was in so much pain, and
- 10:57Speaker 3: so I called the doctors and standing with your leaking
- 11:02Speaker 3: and stuff, I think you should come in just so
- 11:03Speaker 3: we don't risk it. So I come in at eight
- 11:05Speaker 3: am and we're there all day long and I'm at
- 11:08Speaker 3: four centimeters but it's not moving the rest of the day.
- 11:11Speaker 3: So then they have me on potosin for like ten hours.
- 11:14Speaker 3: We go pretty high. They're like, okay, at eleven pm,
- 11:18Speaker 3: I think we need to break your water or nothing's
- 11:20Speaker 3: going to happen.
- 11:21Speaker 2: When you were on the potosin, did you were you contracting?
- 11:25Speaker 3: Yeah, I was having great contractions, but I was having
- 11:27Speaker 3: zero pain and just zero, like.
- 11:30Speaker 2: You're having zero pain while having the contractions. Did you
- 11:32Speaker 2: have the epidural at that point? No, No, it's I
- 11:36Speaker 2: was on eighteen. That's what I didn't understand about your message.
- 11:39Speaker 2: When you DM me, I was like, wait a second
- 11:43Speaker 2: telling me that you had the epidural, but before I
- 11:46Speaker 2: didn't interacting and not in any point what you never
- 11:48Speaker 2: had it?
- 11:49Speaker 3: Holy on? No I did. No, No, you did eventually
- 11:52Speaker 3: on potosin, and it was weird. I just I did
- 11:55Speaker 3: not feel anything. I mean, I was just like, your
- 11:57Speaker 3: contractions are great, and so I wasn't dilated anymore. So
- 12:00Speaker 3: then finally they broke my water and instantly I felt
- 12:03Speaker 3: the contractions and oh my god, I never want to
- 12:05Speaker 3: feel that pain again, Ashley.
- 12:07Speaker 4: That was can I pause you there? So contractions hurt?
- 12:12Speaker 6: God?
- 12:13Speaker 3: Is the contractions that hurt.
- 12:15Speaker 4: It's the contractions that hurt. I just date.
- 12:17Speaker 6: You don't even feel.
- 12:18Speaker 3: But pushing, that's nothing.
- 12:20Speaker 4: The pushing's not the problem. It's the contraction.
- 12:23Speaker 3: Yeah. I didn't know this either, and I was in
- 12:27Speaker 3: shock because as soon as they broke it, I couldn't
- 12:29Speaker 3: even breathe. So I got like thirty minutes of that,
- 12:32Speaker 3: and the anesthesiologist came, yes, see same here. It was
- 12:37Speaker 3: about thirty minutes every minute to tell. And then I
- 12:40Speaker 3: didn't like that either, because your legs are just like tingling,
- 12:44Speaker 3: and you're just you're again control freak. You can't do anything.
- 12:48Speaker 3: And I'm just miserable because my legs are tingling. But
- 12:51Speaker 3: they woke me up at two am and they're like, hey,
- 12:54Speaker 3: you're ten centimeters plus. You need to get this baby out.
- 12:56Speaker 3: His head's right there. I was like, sweet, sounds like
- 13:00Speaker 3: an amazing first story coached in under an hour and
- 13:03Speaker 3: it was great.
- 13:05Speaker 2: So great, okay, wonderful. I'm glad that you had it
- 13:08Speaker 2: as as breezy as possible.
- 13:10Speaker 3: It was nice. Yeah, it was hell just sitting there
- 13:14Speaker 3: waiting in the room though for ten hours.
- 13:16Speaker 2: Yeah, what do you watch?
- 13:18Speaker 3: Nothing?
- 13:18Speaker 2: Really, nothing worth mentioning.
- 13:21Speaker 5: I'm writing this down because I thought it was the
- 13:24Speaker 5: pushing that hurt.
- 13:25Speaker 3: I think a lot of people think that actually, because
- 13:27Speaker 3: I did really so scared to push. That was what
- 13:29Speaker 3: I was so scared.
- 13:30Speaker 4: Of, Ashley, What are you talking about? Why do you
- 13:32Speaker 4: act surprise?
- 13:33Speaker 2: I'm sorry, I don't know, Like I'm like this like
- 13:35Speaker 2: a file.
- 13:36Speaker 5: Like the idea that you're your body is going to
- 13:39Speaker 5: expand to a level that a head can move out
- 13:42Speaker 5: to me, sounds like.
- 13:43Speaker 2: So the contracted painful. How it's getting to that point?
- 13:46Speaker 2: So like every time that's like your muscle making the
- 13:51Speaker 2: movement to like expand.
- 13:54Speaker 4: Hmmm.
- 13:55Speaker 3: Yeah, And it is the worst pain I've ever felt.
- 13:57Speaker 3: You know what else, though, is after pushing, like now
- 14:02Speaker 3: it hurts really bad?
- 14:04Speaker 2: Like yeah, yeah, the after pain. Also, I don't think
- 14:07Speaker 2: it's talked a bad enough.
- 14:09Speaker 3: It doesn't.
- 14:09Speaker 2: It doesn't hurt when you're lying down or sitting down
- 14:12Speaker 2: to me. It didn't. No, it's just only when your
- 14:15Speaker 2: whole body is upright and then like the pressure drops.
- 14:17Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I am.
- 14:20Speaker 2: I'm sorry.
- 14:22Speaker 4: I mean, I'm fine.
- 14:23Speaker 3: I'm good changing two diapers here.
- 14:25Speaker 2: I can't wait for Ben to tell his birth story
- 14:28Speaker 2: with you know, like it's gonna be so funny to
- 14:31Speaker 2: hear Ben's reaction.
- 14:33Speaker 4: It's gonna be well.
- 14:34Speaker 5: I mean, I hope I'm awake for it. I feel
- 14:36Speaker 5: like I feel like I might just be on the floor.
- 14:39Speaker 5: There's a good possibility I don't make it through it.
- 14:41Speaker 5: That's okay, Lace, I okay, I'll preface this. You're obviously
- 14:48Speaker 5: very social. You have a great friend group here in Denver.
- 14:52Speaker 5: We do share common connections. You've always been somebody out
- 14:56Speaker 5: and about. As you said, you had your dream job.
- 15:01Speaker 5: I'm sure there's a lot of things they are building up.
- 15:03Speaker 5: But you are entering into a whole new chapter, a
- 15:05Speaker 5: beautiful chapter one that uh it is. You know, a
- 15:08Speaker 5: lot of your friends are probably already in uh or
- 15:12Speaker 5: entering into at some point here soon, so it's not
- 15:15Speaker 5: like you're you know, alone in this. But what about
- 15:19Speaker 5: this next chapter excites you? What are you looking forward
- 15:23Speaker 5: to the most.
- 15:24Speaker 3: This is a great question because I don't know. I see,
- 15:26Speaker 3: I feel really motivated, like I have a great job.
- 15:30Speaker 3: I'm you know, having fun with Instagram with him and
- 15:34Speaker 3: just all the fun stuff that comes with it. I
- 15:37Speaker 3: think it's like the new challenge of like can I
- 15:40Speaker 3: do this? And I just think it's going to be
- 15:43Speaker 3: I'm going to give him the world obviously the best
- 15:45Speaker 3: I can. But you know, he has a good I
- 15:48Speaker 3: have a support team, which means he does. But I'm
- 15:52Speaker 3: just excited to have this bond with him and see
- 15:55Speaker 3: him grow and see how I can grow in the
- 15:57Speaker 3: midst of this. I just think good things are coming.
- 15:59Speaker 3: I really do.
- 16:00Speaker 4: Oh, you can do this. Yeah, there's no question in
- 16:02Speaker 4: my mind.
- 16:02Speaker 3: That I don't know. I'm excited for this next chapter
- 16:05Speaker 3: to just see what's possible. Honestly.
- 16:08Speaker 2: Yeah, you have so many qualities that just make you
- 16:11Speaker 2: a great mom. Thanks very nurturing, You're very supportive, you
- 16:15Speaker 2: are like I think the fact that you are so
- 16:19Speaker 2: like open about things just makes me feel like, you know,
- 16:25Speaker 2: that's just a quality of like a really great mom too. Like,
- 16:28Speaker 2: I don't think that you're ever going to have a
- 16:29Speaker 2: hard time having a discussion with him.
- 16:32Speaker 3: No, I'm excited to have some talks with it. Yeah,
- 16:34Speaker 3: I want to be the biggest gentleman ever.
- 16:38Speaker 5: He looks like it right now. What a stud lace.
- 16:43Speaker 5: My final question for you is, obviously it's only been
- 16:48Speaker 5: five days, but I'm always curious about this. How has
- 16:52Speaker 5: your world changed in five days?
- 16:56Speaker 3: Like I didn't realize it. Like people are serious when
- 17:01Speaker 3: they say it's around the clock. I can't even go
- 17:04Speaker 3: pee sometimes, Like I'm grateful for my mom being here,
- 17:08Speaker 3: but if she wasn't, I don't know how anything would
- 17:12Speaker 3: get done.
- 17:14Speaker 2: This is you're going to go through this for a
- 17:16Speaker 2: few months, you know.
- 17:17Speaker 3: And I'm just like, I didn't really And then now
- 17:21Speaker 3: day five, day four, day five, I've changed a diaper
- 17:24Speaker 3: like every hour, and I'm just like, I really going
- 17:26Speaker 3: through And He's just like, five minutes ago, we're doing
- 17:29Speaker 3: it again, and it's just I don't know, you only
- 17:33Speaker 3: have one hand.
- 17:34Speaker 2: The poop calms down after about two months. It's a
- 17:38Speaker 2: lot less type changing. I promise I remember too. I
- 17:41Speaker 2: was like, how is it? Every time we look in there,
- 17:43Speaker 2: there's something that sounds amazing.
- 17:46Speaker 3: I think something that's not talked about a lot though,
- 17:48Speaker 3: is when I'm coming to find out. What'd you say?
- 17:50Speaker 4: I said, that sounds amazing. Think about if that's just
- 17:52Speaker 4: how gracious.
- 17:55Speaker 3: And I think something that's not talked about though, is
- 17:58Speaker 3: just like the breastfeeding aspect and how bad and it hurts,
- 18:01Speaker 3: and like how much time consuming that is as well.
- 18:05Speaker 3: But the recovery, the recovery downstairs and the breastfeeding just
- 18:09Speaker 3: I don't think it's talked about enough. Because I was
- 18:11Speaker 3: expecting it and he was having really plusy night a
- 18:13Speaker 3: couple of nights ago, and I just laid there and
- 18:15Speaker 3: cried with him because I was like, what am I doing?
- 18:17Speaker 3: Like this is so hard.
- 18:19Speaker 2: Yeah, that's why I didn't bother breastfeeding one of the.
- 18:22Speaker 3: You know, I see why. I know.
- 18:26Speaker 2: Oh we can have a total honesty. How I love
- 18:29Speaker 2: that my And then one last comment, I just have
- 18:32Speaker 2: to relate with you. It's like I remember when we
- 18:35Speaker 2: got back to Rhode Island because I gave birth in
- 18:37Speaker 2: Virginia and it was like three and a half weeks.
- 18:39Speaker 2: We stayed down there until we drove back and Jared
- 18:42Speaker 2: went to work and I was home alone for the
- 18:44Speaker 2: first time with him. Oh boy, just you and me,
- 18:48Speaker 2: So like what do I do when I have to
- 18:51Speaker 2: go make myself something to eat? What do I do
- 18:53Speaker 2: when I have to go to the bathroom? And it's
- 18:56Speaker 2: just like, I guess you're like, do you come with
- 18:59Speaker 2: me and you sit on your lounger in the bathroom
- 19:02Speaker 2: floor for thirty seconds?
- 19:04Speaker 3: I did that once.
- 19:06Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 19:06Speaker 2: And then when he's like a little bit bigger, you know,
- 19:09Speaker 2: like you know, five days is too small, but like
- 19:11Speaker 2: in a couple of weeks, you can put him in
- 19:13Speaker 2: the chess carrier and that is when you discover your
- 19:18Speaker 2: life again. That I was able to do like everything
- 19:21Speaker 2: with him and my chess carrier because at about like
- 19:24Speaker 2: one month, they're still sleeping so much throughout the day.
- 19:29Speaker 2: But at least that way, you like HAVEM on you
- 19:30Speaker 2: and you're able to go about that's a little tit
- 19:33Speaker 2: for you.
- 19:35Speaker 5: All right, to close up here, lace, I lied, I
- 19:38Speaker 5: do have a more question. You're only five days into this,
- 19:41Speaker 5: so it might be a little early.
- 19:43Speaker 4: Do you ever see yourself going on television again?
- 19:46Speaker 3: Uh?
- 19:47Speaker 4: No, okay, deal, that's all I needed.
- 19:50Speaker 3: No, No, I don't I don't think so.
- 19:52Speaker 4: No hesitation there, right, that was like a solid no.
- 19:55Speaker 3: Yeah, it was just like thinking like probably not with
- 19:57Speaker 3: the child, No.
- 19:58Speaker 4: Oka, that's fair, Lace, we wish the best.
- 20:03Speaker 5: In fact, I'm sure you've gotten a ridiculous amount of
- 20:07Speaker 5: stuff sent to you. But The Almost Famous Podcast would

- 20:17Speaker 5: nice a.
- 20:18Speaker 4: Robot that could do all these things with me.
- 20:21Speaker 5: Just let us know we want to send you something,
- 20:23Speaker 5: so we'll uh yeah, we'll have one of the we'll

- 20:37Speaker 5: really well. And uh, I also just feel like we

- 20:43Speaker 5: with this situation and co parenting. That is a unique
- 20:49Speaker 5: challenge and journey that I'm hoping works out to be good.
- 20:56Speaker 5: Uh you know whatever good means there.
- 20:58Speaker 2: Yeah, and I did to that And if you need
- 21:01Speaker 2: anything mom advice, I love talking about it. Okay, Well
