- 1:40author interviews and life. Come on in and join us. We're ready,
- 1:45are you as I day your head? Welcome everyone, It's another Saturday night
- 1:56and you're here with your girl Patrice Scrimble scook Out eight forty three and I
- 2:01am so excited for this show tonight because this show is going to help all
- 2:06of us to create the Habits for Miracles. So today I want to introduce
- 2:12mister Rawu Shama. He is the author of Habits from Miracles, which is
- 2:17his newest self help book. Welcome, come on on join me. Hello,
- 2:24Hey, Patris, how are you? I'm great? How are you
- 2:28I'm doing great? Thank you for asking. So my first question, tell
- 2:32us a little about yourself. So Rahua Sharma is a person who believes in
- 2:40the power of mine, who believes in where there is a will, that
- 2:46is a way. I am a ser one leader by nature, and I
- 2:53always seek opportunities to learn and grow as well as help others who are in
- 3:00need. That is what probably yourma is. Now. See that is so
- 3:06much of what we need in this world, right here and now. So
- 3:12I understand that you have a book that is called habit, a novel,
- 3:15a self help book call Habits from Miracles, which is your latest. So
- 3:23tell us tell us a little bit about this book, like how did you
- 3:25come about the title? Where did the idea or the inspiration for it come
- 3:30from? Tell us a little bit about it. So I have been in
- 3:36my corporate world working with many individuals and I have noticed that they are unable
- 3:43to unleash their full potential. And what I realize was there are certain things
- 3:51that we know that we need to do, but somehow we miss it.
- 3:55And those are very basic small things. And those are the small things or
- 4:00habits that I have lived throughout my life and I have inculcated in this book
- 4:06Habits for Miracles. This book will talk about various habits of miracles is an
- 4:15acronym that I have used to explain the habits, and they will ekeep our
- 4:21readers to design their life their way. Oh wow, design your life your
- 4:30way. So you're telling me that it's really up to me to achieve what
- 4:36I have to achieve. You know what? That is great? Now you
- 4:41said you're a leadership reader, a leadership trainer, and you work in the
- 4:45corporate world. How does that help or how does that incorporate itself and sad
- 4:51and your book. So, as a leadership coach, one of the most
- 5:00common challenge that I hear from leaders is they are trying to do great things
- 5:06for their people, but their people are not able to execute to make the
- 5:12change. And I believe that people resist change only when they are told to
- 5:19change. When the change is coming from within, then they are very excited.
- 5:28So I teach our leaders how to focus on ensuring that the change that
- 5:35the individual is looking for comes from them rather than you telling them, Hey,
- 5:42do this, do that. So that's what I do in my coaching
- 5:46to leaders. So it seems like you're taking the talent that I have within
- 5:53and bringing it out. Absolutely. Absolutely, we have griven the spot our
- 6:00in our own self, and my job is to just get that out,
- 6:05make them aware of their power, their inner power which they can use it
- 6:11to improve their life. Okay, so I'm going to ask an aftrip question.
- 6:16So what is one way that I can find that inner talent that I
- 6:24have or flourish that inner talent that I have? If I have to say
- 6:31one, Since you ask me one, I would say listening to self.
- 6:36Oh, self, listening is a wonderful art and is a great thing for
- 6:42us to know what our mind has to say to ourself. We are in
- 6:48a world where there are so many noises, so many people asking us to
- 6:54do things, whether at work, if we are a parent kids, asking
- 6:58us if we are at at home gives asking us at what our managers or
- 7:02what team members are asking us to do. So we are not able to
- 7:06spend time with our own self. So if we focus on listening to our
- 7:13own self, we will be able to know what we are capable of.
- 7:17So those quiet moments do you mean a lot? So it's okay to take
- 7:24those stolen moments and this sitting quiet and see I knew I knew I was
- 7:29doing that for a reason. All right, So who do you see as
- 7:36your books ideal reader? Who should who should read your book? I knew
- 7:43it should be for everyone, because everyone needs those habits for miracles. But
- 7:47who should say instead of me getting this Starbucks, let me invest in myself,
- 7:54who should get us? So I would say there are three main your
- 8:01genre people can help get the help from this book. First and foremost,
- 8:07it would be the students who are struggling with their academics and their personal and
- 8:13allowing them to have a bigger meaning in their personal and professional life. So
- 8:20students could get an advantage on this and another thing. I believe that these
- 8:24habits if gets inculcated in us early, we will read the benefits for a
- 8:31longer time. Okay. The second group would be the entrepreneurs, the leaders
- 8:37who are who have the knowledge and who are ensuring that their people do better.
- 8:45So if if this knowledge goes to those entrepreneurs, those leaders, they
- 8:50will be equipped to get better output, better productivity from their team, fulfilling
- 8:56their personal and professional life. Okay. And the third audience I would say
- 9:03would be the individuals who are facing with the life transitions, who don't know
- 9:11the way out, who thinks that everything bad that is happening around them is
- 9:16happening to them, So those folks can also get benefit from this book,
- 9:22because I talk about a lot of self discovery moments, self discovery tools in
- 9:28the book which could be beneficial for them. Okay, so we got the
- 9:33students, we have the entrepreneurs, and anyone that is in transitions. That's
- 9:41about everybody. I would say, Yeah, So we're going to take a
- 9:46little break and we will be back and we're going to talk about one of
- 9:52the greatest weapons we have in our life is our mind. So he's going
- 9:58to expound on us and give us a little bit more knowledge on that.
- 10:01So you guys, come on back after this commercial break. You need to
- 10:09get your book reviews or do you want a little bit more exposure for your
- 10:13new book. Check us out at www dot sc book gallant Friends dot com

- 10:30packages for all authors. Contact us. We're ready to read your new books.
- 10:37I tay youre hey, Welcome back, you guys. So one of
- 10:45the greatest weapons we have in our life is our mind. Tell me more
- 10:52so, I believe that the nature has given the Almighty has given us this
- 10:58amazing gift the mind, and most of us we do not realize the power
- 11:05of mind. So the first step for us is to make our mind think
- 11:13like a winner. Once we start thinking like a winner, things will happen
- 11:20automatically. And there are It's not that you think like a winner and you
- 11:24become a winner. There are a lot of things that goes in. I'm
- 11:26just making it look like very very simple. It is not. It is
- 11:31a lot of efforts that one need to make. And number two, our
- 11:37mind has a power to design our life our way if only and only if
- 11:43we allow it to happen. We sometimes have those limiting beliefs, those past
- 11:52experiences which inhibits us to take that action that will take our life to a
- 12:00different whole world. So if we can dream big, amazing things can happen
- 12:07in our life. And that is what our mind does to us. So
- 12:11we need to realize the power of mind. It's a super superpower, I
- 12:16say, And there are great things that mind can do. But the only
- 12:20thing is if we allow it, nothing will happen. We don't. There
- 12:24is no remote control like we change the channel in the TV. There is
- 12:28no remote control of our mind. But it is all within us. So
- 12:33that's like we can be our biggest hinderance. Wow, absolutely, that's that's
- 12:41that would be one of my problems. I can be my worst enemy.
- 12:46So another off question, do you have any advice for those that are in
- 12:54that place where there their worst enemy. I mean, I've talked myself into
- 12:58doing things, and I've seen others where I work because I work for a
- 13:01public library, so I see this all the time. When I have individuals
- 13:05that come in and full out that application for a job. In the first
- 13:09word they say is I'm not qualified for this, and I'm like, no,
- 13:13you don't want to speak like that. So what type of advice can
- 13:16I say to that patron that comes in? And that's the first words to
- 13:18come out there, But what can I say? Share this ad why is
- 13:24the one that I have experienced it. I used to be a chain smoker
- 13:28and I left smoking on March twenty seven, two eleven, thank you.
- 13:37And the first thing that I did was get to know my why. Why
- 13:41do I want to move away from this habit. Once I got to know
- 13:46my why, it allowed me to move in a positive direction. Once I
- 13:54knew my why, the second thing I did was practice mind talk. Positive
- 14:00mind talk our mind gets almost eighty thousand to ninety thousand thoughts in a twenty
- 14:07four hour period. And the unfortunate part Petrace is those ninety percent of these
- 14:13thoughts are negative. And when we are having negative thoughts, we will not
- 14:20be in a position to take positive action. So we need to do that
- 14:24positive mind talk, positive self talk to ourself. That will make our thoughts
- 14:30positive, that will make our mindset positive, and that will enable us to
- 14:35take positive action. Now, first, know your why. Second, do
- 14:43a positive mind talk. Third would be setting realistic goals. You need to
- 14:48set realistic goals. Nothing will happen overnight. It will happen piece by piece,
- 14:54so set those realistic goals when you are achieving your mini goal. The
- 15:00fourth step is to have some positive reinforcement. Applaud yourself. Give a pattern,
- 15:07a bag, go for a massage, you go for a coffee,
- 15:11go for a dinner. But applaud yourself. That is sometimes we are not
- 15:16very good at applauding our own work. And last, but not the least,
- 15:22is the support system, your inner circle. You have to have a
- 15:26very good support system who is positive, who is giving you positive energy and
- 15:33helping you in making that dream come true. So those are the five things.
- 15:39Know your why, Brantice mind or set realistic goals, focus on ensuring
- 15:46that you have focus on ensuring that you have those goals are when they are
- 15:54achieving, you are achieving those goal to positive reinforcement. And fifth is ensuring
- 16:00that you have a good support system. Now that's it's so crazy to hear
- 16:08that because it's what I say to my daughter and it's like okay, cool,
- 16:14Like heay, So you tell us about how to break those bad habits.
- 16:22You just gave us a little bit about it. But I have a
- 16:25bad habit of doubting myself and I know a lot of people do, and
- 16:30we get those negative thoughts and you're telling us to replace those negative thoughts with
- 16:34positive thoughts. And the simplest thing you just said was like mind blowing because
- 16:41it's like you hear that all the time, but until you actually sit and
- 16:45think about it, it's like wow, So, how to get rid of
- 16:49these bad habits we have? So once we practice those five steps, that
- 16:56will definitely enable us to move to the right direction. But the shift that
- 17:03will happen would be life changing for you. These habits. When you imby
- 17:12positive habits, it improves your mental health, it improves your relationship, and
- 17:22it improves your own self confidence in doing great things that you are born for.
- 17:30So bring that new perspective in life. Connect with like minded people,
- 17:37connect with the mentors, the coach who can give you the right guidance.
- 17:42Those are the things if we focus on miracules can happen. Okay, So
- 17:49I'm we're gonna start doing it. And it says we talk about shifting our
- 17:56thoughts. Why is that a good thing? Why? Why is the good
- 18:00to shift the thoughts? I mean, we know that positive thoughts bring positive
- 18:04outcomes, but a lot of people can't really think that positive because they're really
- 18:11focusing on what they physically see. So how do we get that mindset of
- 18:18shifting our thoughts? Because we shift our thoughts, our outcome will change.
- 18:23So how do we get that? So first thing I would say is you
- 18:29need to envision the future. State what will happen when those change that you
- 18:36are thinking about will happen in your life? How will the life look like?
- 18:41Second, our brain is not as intelligent as we are. Sometimes our
- 18:48brain is unable to recognize in the real situations as well as fake situations.
- 18:57So when we are taught talking positive to ourself, our brain is thinking that.
- 19:03Okay, these things are happening and it allows us to stay in a
- 19:08happy mode for a longer period of time. So the moment you are having
- 19:12any negativity around, give those booster to take that still right of positive thoughts
- 19:18and positive mind dog that will take you to another new level. Okay,
- 19:26great, Great, So we're almost to the end of our discussion. And
- 19:32what would you like to leave with your pass readers, new readers, current
- 19:38readers, everyone is going to see this podcast. Who would you like to
- 19:42say now? I would say that you have the power to change, to
- 19:48design the life that you want to live. No one else is responsible for
- 19:53that life that you deserve. Only you harness the power of these all habits.
- 20:00Inculcate these small habits and see the miracles list result happening in you around
- 20:07you, and to make a happier place to live, for your family,
- 20:11for your friends, and for yourself. Yeah, the happiness starts at home,
- 20:17it reaches out and this world could get a little better. So how
- 20:22can our readers contact you? How can they get your books? Do you
- 20:29have any training classes coming up? How can they get in contact with you?
