- 0:01Speaker 1: You're listening to Bill Handle on demand from KFI AM
- 0:05Speaker 1: six forty.
- 0:12Speaker 2: This is over a billion dollars. So yeah, I'm right
- 0:14Speaker 2: up there, aren't I?
- 0:15Speaker 3: So here is? And if I did have a billion dollars,
- 0:18Speaker 3: you think I'd wake up in the morning and do
- 0:20Speaker 3: this show, I wouldn't have.
- 0:21Speaker 2: My assistance, assistant assistant.
- 0:24Speaker 4: Do this show?
- 0:25Speaker 1: Come and now Handle on the news. Ladies and gentlemen,
- 0:29Speaker 1: here's Bill Handle.
- 0:36Speaker 3: It is a Tuesday morning at Taco Tuesday, April twenty eight.
- 0:39Speaker 3: Good morning everybody, and you are listening to KFI. You
- 0:44Speaker 3: probably know that because otherwise you wouldn't be listening to KFI. Okay,
- 0:51Speaker 3: let a start, boy, I'll tell you my logic is
- 0:54Speaker 3: just spectacular. Okay, Will, I can actually see you on
- 0:58Speaker 3: the monitor, and therefore I have not forgotten you, because
- 1:02Speaker 3: when you are not there, you are not there.
- 1:04Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:04Speaker 3: Good morning, Yeah, good morning. There you go. Oh you
- 1:08Speaker 3: know what, Neil and Will are wearing almost the exact
- 1:13Speaker 3: same T shirt, same color. Am I missing something?
- 1:16Speaker 4: Is it a camera? Will? Is yours black? Mind's purple?
- 1:20Speaker 5: It's an egg plant kind of color?
- 1:22Speaker 4: Yeah? Mine is actually black.
- 1:25Speaker 5: Yours is black. It looks purple.
- 1:27Speaker 4: No, it's black and it says la Taco.
- 1:29Speaker 3: Okay, don't don't Those two T shirts seem to have.
- 1:33Speaker 4: The almost identical color. I think. So it's like it's
- 1:37Speaker 4: a lighting. It could be the lighting.
- 1:39Speaker 3: It It could be that we are spending way too
- 1:42Speaker 3: much time talking about what things look like on the radio.
- 1:45Speaker 4: You look like you have a little purple on you too.
- 1:47Speaker 4: That's his eye.
- 1:48Speaker 3: That's why eyeballs. Yeah, that's why I after shine my flyer.
- 1:52Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I've got a hell of a shine.
- 1:54Speaker 4: Oh. Yes, that's a teachable moment right there. It is
- 1:57Speaker 4: a teachable moment. I'll tell you a story.
- 2:00Speaker 2: I'll tell you a story that happened yesterday.
- 2:03Speaker 3: Then there is Amy. There you are, Amy, Hi, Hi,
- 2:07Speaker 3: and Cono there you are, and last and maybe least
- 2:13Speaker 3: ever least, so yesterday. All right, so yesterday, just a
- 2:21Speaker 3: quick word. Yesterday there was I was told by someone
- 2:26Speaker 3: down the street who knows us and knocked on the
- 2:30Speaker 3: door and said, something weird just happened. And what is that? Well,
- 2:34Speaker 3: there's a guy out here who is washing windows and
- 2:39Speaker 3: asked me, doesn't handle live around here? And I was
- 2:43Speaker 3: outside and then yes, And then another person who was
- 2:50Speaker 3: just out walking also said, this guy came into the
- 2:54Speaker 3: neighborhood and said, you know, I know Handle lives around here,
- 2:58Speaker 3: someplace from Torrence. It was I know, it was a
- 3:02Speaker 3: little It was a little distressing because as we are
- 3:06Speaker 3: talk show host people, I mean, we used to get
- 3:08Speaker 3: out and out death threats. That's calm down, but there
- 3:11Speaker 3: are plenty of people who write some pretty vicious things
- 3:13Speaker 3: about us, which you know, the cost of doing business,
- 3:15Speaker 3: which is fine. But in our neighborhood and we're a
- 3:19Speaker 3: gated community and here's this guy walking around.
- 3:22Speaker 4: So we called the sheriff's.
- 3:23Speaker 3: Department and a couple of sheriffs came out, and I
- 3:28Speaker 3: took the information and I came so close to me
- 3:32Speaker 3: I have the shiner, as you know, this big one.
- 3:36Speaker 4: I came this close to.
- 3:38Speaker 3: Telling the sheriffs Lindsey did this to me and she
- 3:43Speaker 3: would have been carted off in handcuffs.
- 3:48Speaker 4: Wow. Yeah, but I didn't. Not a dull moment over it,
- 3:52Speaker 4: but I did.
- 3:53Speaker 3: So the point is we don't know what's going on.
- 3:55Speaker 3: That's a little distressing.
- 3:57Speaker 6: Wait a second one was a worker cleaning windows, and
- 4:00Speaker 6: then the other, well the guy.
- 4:02Speaker 3: The guy was a window cleaner and someone asked him no.
- 4:06Speaker 3: He asked them, there's someone who's walking past, uh, past
- 4:12Speaker 3: on the sidewalk, past his truck where he had come
- 4:14Speaker 3: to get windows supplies or a window washing supplies. And
- 4:17Speaker 3: he asked her, doesn't Handle live around here? Where is
- 4:23Speaker 3: Handel's house? Were they two different people? Yeah, two different
- 4:27Speaker 3: people were asked by this guy rands community. No, No,
- 4:32Speaker 3: the yeah, one was working in the other two lived
- 4:35Speaker 3: in my gated community. Maybe I'm not making myself very clear.
- 4:39Speaker 4: You never do. The point is and it wasn't.
- 4:44Speaker 3: It wasn't. It wasn't Bill Handle or mister Handle. It
- 4:46Speaker 3: was just doesn't Handle live around here? And you know,
- 4:50Speaker 3: we go, Uh.
- 4:51Speaker 2: The bottom line is, we don't do anything.
- 4:53Speaker 3: It's an event that we talked to people where we
- 4:55Speaker 3: meet people that we don't have armed security. We have
- 4:58Speaker 3: to because the world is so nuts. You know, for example,
- 5:01Speaker 3: the wine dinner, and it's a good segue on Thursday,
- 5:04Speaker 3: the Antonory wine Dinner at the White House restaurant, and
- 5:09Speaker 3: since I mentioned that I'm going to be there, which
- 5:11Speaker 3: I am going to be there instantly, we have armed security.
- 5:16Speaker 3: I mean we did. There's no choice. You know where
- 5:18Speaker 3: that came from. It came from years and years ago
- 5:21Speaker 3: when we got our first death threat and they don't happen.
- 5:24Speaker 3: I can't remember the last time it happened. But it
- 5:27Speaker 3: turned out that once that death threat came in, there
- 5:31Speaker 3: had to be armed security because can you imagine if
- 5:34Speaker 3: something happened and there wasn't security. At that time, I
- 5:37Speaker 3: was married to Marjorie, and as I said, something happens
- 5:40Speaker 3: to me after the information, after it shared, there's a threat,
- 5:45Speaker 3: you might as well just hand the keys to the
- 5:46Speaker 3: radio station over to over to Marjorie. That's it, here's
- 5:49Speaker 3: here's here's a radio station. Enjoy yourself. So it's it's
- 5:53Speaker 3: really kind of crazy. So we don't know what's going on.
- 5:57Speaker 4: Well, neighbors are one thing. If they live in the community,
- 6:00Speaker 4: what are you gonna do?
- 6:00Speaker 3: This guy did not live in the community. He did not,
- 6:05Speaker 3: so how did he get in there?
- 6:07Speaker 4: We don't know.
- 6:08Speaker 6: Wow, great security. You should probably not tell everybody right
- 6:13Speaker 6: now how crappy your security is.
- 6:16Speaker 3: Well, we also have dogs that eat people. We have
- 6:19Speaker 3: an electrified fence around the property. Is the and we
- 6:23Speaker 3: have machine guns. Every window is.
- 6:27Speaker 4: The is the elevator glass lexan? Is it a bulletproof or?
- 6:33Speaker 3: All right, it's time for handle on the news. You
- 6:35Speaker 3: have to go there, don't han, Neil, You just uh well.
- 6:39Speaker 4: You could. It could be your escape elevator.
- 6:43Speaker 6: Like Willy Wonka shoots out the top of the roof
- 6:45Speaker 6: and you guys will be safe.
- 6:46Speaker 3: It could be you wanted some news. What do you
- 6:48Speaker 3: think I thought I would just share that with you, Wed. Yeah, yeah,
- 6:55Speaker 3: it's I mean, especially now because there's more crazy out
- 6:59Speaker 3: there than there's been for a very long time. To
- 7:01Speaker 3: remember all the stuff we used to have, Neil, it
- 7:06Speaker 3: was weekly back then. Oh yeah, I had a wall
- 7:08Speaker 3: of hate. We're an entire wall in my office, which
- 7:12Speaker 3: of course now we don't have offices, so we're just
- 7:16Speaker 3: on the floor without even desks. We sit on the floor.
- 7:19Speaker 6: Do you remember the guy I think his name was
- 7:21Speaker 6: Al He was a former FED that worked for us
- 7:25Speaker 6: as a private investigator. And because I got a couple
- 7:29Speaker 6: of death threats and this guy which would get into
- 7:34Speaker 6: their home and call you from their house saying what
- 7:36Speaker 6: do you want me to look for? And he was
- 7:38Speaker 6: inside their house. It's all I know where the guy works,
- 7:43Speaker 6: I know everything. It was crazy back in those days.
- 7:46Speaker 3: Uh yeah, And you know security, I don't know how
- 7:50Speaker 3: well it works because I've gotten to it. Dana, who
- 7:53Speaker 3: is our security guy. Someone will come up to me
- 7:57Speaker 3: and Dana's be right there, someone who obviously is and
- 8:00Speaker 3: an agonistic and will come up to me and basically
- 8:03Speaker 3: screaming me for what I'm about, which is fine.
- 8:05Speaker 2: You know the politics bill, You're an a hole. Yeah,
- 8:07Speaker 2: I get it. I got no problem.
- 8:09Speaker 3: And when it gets just a little bit too aggressive,
- 8:13Speaker 3: I turned to Day and I go shoot him in
- 8:14Speaker 3: the heart.
- 8:16Speaker 4: Yeah, all right, they are just one ahead of two
- 8:19Speaker 4: in the heart. I gain.
- 8:20Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, do a double tap. And we have
- 8:23Speaker 3: yet to have that happen.
- 8:25Speaker 7: All right, how's this for a deal Iran has offered
- 8:29Speaker 7: to and it's choke hold of the straight of Horror News.
- 8:32Speaker 7: It says, all we have to do is lift the
- 8:34Speaker 7: US blockade and end the war.
- 8:37Speaker 2: Yeah, what does Trump do with this one?
- 8:40Speaker 3: Because you've noticed that everything else is off the table,
- 8:43Speaker 3: the nuclear Enrichmond program, the drone program, the support of
- 8:48Speaker 3: terrorist organizations around the world, there is not much talk
- 8:51Speaker 3: of that anymore. And the kind of talk we have
- 8:54Speaker 3: is opening up the straight and the blockade. And where
- 8:58Speaker 3: does President Trump go with this? Politically? I mean, it's
- 9:02Speaker 3: a who's winning this one, and the presidents said, well, it's
- 9:07Speaker 3: harder for them than it is for us, and it is.
- 9:09Speaker 2: He's absolutely right about that.
- 9:11Speaker 3: The problem is is that the regime is perfectly willing
- 9:15Speaker 3: to let all of iron starve, where of course our
- 9:20Speaker 3: administration would never let that happen here. So there's no
- 9:26Speaker 3: place to go on this one. I'm just waiting to
- 9:28Speaker 3: see who blinks first, and I don't think it's I
- 9:30Speaker 3: don't think it's going to be President Trump.
- 9:32Speaker 2: I don't think it's going to be Iranian. I think
- 9:34Speaker 2: no one's gonna blink.
- 9:37Speaker 6: All right, Jimmy, maybe now is a good time to
- 9:41Speaker 6: shut your pie hole. I stood with Jimmy Kimmel last time.
- 9:44Speaker 6: But what a stupid remark. He comes out and says,
- 9:47Speaker 6: Miss Trump, you have a glow like an expected expected widow.
- 9:53Speaker 6: Could you imagine if that was Obama and Michelle Obama,
- 9:58Speaker 6: how people would crap their pain its So this was
- 10:01Speaker 6: said during a monologue after the attempted assassination on a president.
- 10:05Speaker 3: See I'm on the other side of that. I think
- 10:08Speaker 3: that these late night comedians, they they rip into Trump.
- 10:13Speaker 6: This was I don't mind him ripping into Trump at all,
- 10:16Speaker 6: but when it comes to when it comes to when
- 10:19Speaker 6: it comes to an attempted assassination. I know some people
- 10:23Speaker 6: think that that's not real, but let's assume that it was.
- 10:27Speaker 6: When it comes to that, you stand down in the
- 10:30Speaker 6: comedy region at least for a week or so.
- 10:33Speaker 2: But this happened before the assassination attempt.
- 10:37Speaker 3: When he said this, he just says stuff about Trump
- 10:40Speaker 3: and Melania.
- 10:41Speaker 4: That's guys. Yeah, I didn't know that.
- 10:43Speaker 6: Actually, that does change it. If he said it prior
- 10:45Speaker 6: to then it's.
- 10:47Speaker 3: Yeah, it had to be just when all he said
- 10:49Speaker 3: last Thursday, Oh did he Yeah, he said it last Thursday.
- 10:53Speaker 3: In the assassination temp was Saturday. Yeah, And it's just, uh,
- 10:56Speaker 3: that's what they do.
- 10:58Speaker 4: I mean, if you look out, that's different to me.
- 11:01Speaker 3: If you say it is that, it is so and
- 11:03Speaker 3: and the story is un.
- 11:04Speaker 4: To do more of that.
- 11:04Speaker 3: Of course, I appreciated the demand by Trump said it afterwards,
- 11:08Speaker 3: the demand by Trump that he get fired, Well that
- 11:11Speaker 3: worked once where Kimmel was fired and then quickly came back.
- 11:17Speaker 3: And so I can't see ABC caving in on this
- 11:20Speaker 3: no matter. What can you imagine if all the president
- 11:23Speaker 3: see say it, talked about his.
- 11:26Speaker 6: Talked about his monologue Monday night. But he was responding
- 11:31Speaker 6: to the first lady. That's what confused me, got it,
- 11:34Speaker 6: I thought it was Monday night.
- 11:35Speaker 7: Okay, So who's going to pay for the big, beautiful ballroom.
- 11:42Speaker 7: Trump's top allies are pushing for Congress to pay for
- 11:48Speaker 7: the ballroom after the President, you know, was taken out
- 11:51Speaker 7: of the White Horse correspondence dinner and is now saying
- 11:54Speaker 7: some matter matter of national security, that we have the ballroom,
- 11:57Speaker 7: that kind of stuff. But Republicans are divided on whether
- 11:59Speaker 7: to make taxpayers pay for it. Some prefer to let
- 12:02Speaker 7: Trump raise the money privately. It's the ninety thousand square
- 12:05Speaker 7: football room. Democrats are obviously firmly opposed to it, so
- 12:09Speaker 7: it would be tough for Republicans to get everybody together
- 12:12Speaker 7: to pass it. I thought that this was already done deal,
- 12:16Speaker 7: that Trump had said that it was going to be
- 12:18Speaker 7: privately fun.
- 12:19Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 12:19Speaker 3: Yeah, for the first two hundred million. He's got two
- 12:21Speaker 3: hundred million more to go. That's the problem is that
- 12:25Speaker 3: it has doubled in cost, and we haven't heard lately
- 12:29Speaker 3: that has been privately funded. Also, the other part of
- 12:32Speaker 3: this story that a lot of people are not talking about,
- 12:35Speaker 3: which I think should be talking talked about, is that
- 12:39Speaker 3: the President used the assassination attempt as the basis of
- 12:45Speaker 3: his argument that this ballroom should be used.
- 12:50Speaker 4: For about yesterday. Right, So here's the question.
- 12:53Speaker 3: This was the Correspondence dinner, this was the White House
- 12:56Speaker 3: Correspondent stinner. They pay for it, they hire the venue,
- 13:01Speaker 3: they're the ones that put it on. So let's say
- 13:04Speaker 3: that next year, after the ballroom has been built and
- 13:08Speaker 3: the White House Correspondence go to the President, we'd like
- 13:11Speaker 3: to use the ballroom for our event. Really, really, the
- 13:20Speaker 3: point is do you think that you're going to have events?
- 13:23Speaker 3: Are they going to rent it out like venues, like
- 13:25Speaker 3: a venue. We do bar mitsvahs, we do weddings, we
- 13:29Speaker 3: do kN sierras. That one got you guys.
- 13:35Speaker 5: We're gonna have like Houston era at the White House.
- 13:38Speaker 3: Yeah, that's the point. It's going to be strictly White
- 13:41Speaker 3: House events. It'll be state dinners, that sort of thing. So, uh,
- 13:45Speaker 3: that is not an excuse therefore to say, well, we
- 13:47Speaker 3: need it because the for national security when event, when
- 13:51Speaker 3: the president appears at events.
- 13:53Speaker 7: It's not big enough either in the world's like a
- 13:56Speaker 7: thousand people. And the correspondents dinner had like twenty five hundred.
- 13:59Speaker 4: Did it?
- 14:00Speaker 3: I didn't even know that. Wow, Okay, I didn't think
- 14:04Speaker 3: it was. So there are places big enough. But then security,
- 14:07Speaker 3: there is a legitimate security concern underneath the bunker. Whether
- 14:12Speaker 3: we need it or not, I don't know. My guess
- 14:14Speaker 3: is probably because the situation room is very old and
- 14:18Speaker 3: the technology probably isn't meant to parse all by that,
- 14:21Speaker 3: But we have to build underneath. Therefore we have to
- 14:25Speaker 3: build on top of that. Just doesn't fly all right.
- 14:29Speaker 6: Moving on DeSantis, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has proposed a
- 14:36Speaker 6: new map for US House district that appears to show
- 14:41Speaker 6: Republicans gaining an advantage in four seats now held by Democrats.
- 14:46Speaker 4: So the tennis match continues now when this.
- 14:50Speaker 3: Is all said and done, when everybody gets their way, right,
- 14:54Speaker 3: the Democrats get their way in terms of flipping the
- 14:58Speaker 3: House seats or the congressional district, so they have the advantage,
- 15:01Speaker 3: and the Republicans do the same thing.
- 15:03Speaker 4: On the other side.
- 15:05Speaker 3: All over the country, the Democrats have a one seat advantage.
- 15:11Speaker 4: God, I wish one of us had said that at
- 15:13Speaker 4: the very beginning.
- 15:14Speaker 6: Oh I did, I did that it was going to
- 15:17Speaker 6: be dominoes and that it was just going to go
- 15:19Speaker 6: back and forth and never sweat and you're right, and
- 15:21Speaker 6: that's going to be the same outcome.
- 15:24Speaker 3: Yeah. And the shame of it is that it's turning
- 15:26Speaker 3: around how correctional districts are drawn based on the census
- 15:31Speaker 3: Now it has nothing to do with a census, or
- 15:33Speaker 3: if it does, it's in the middle of the census period,
- 15:37Speaker 3: which is its census every ten years, and this they're
- 15:40Speaker 3: doing this in the middle of which is unheard of.
- 15:43Speaker 3: So it's all of it is completely.
- 15:45Speaker 7: Nuts, setting the stage for more sick kids. Apparently, according
- 15:49Speaker 7: to studies published in Jama Pediatrics, the decision to drop
- 15:55Speaker 7: the long standing recommendation that newborns receive a hepatitis vaccine
- 16:00Speaker 7: within twenty four hours of birth will likely lead to
- 16:03Speaker 7: hundreds of additional infections, along with more cases of liver
- 16:07Speaker 7: cancer death and millions in.
- 16:09Speaker 5: Added health care costs.
- 16:11Speaker 7: Of course, the Federal Vaccine Advisors voted in December to
- 16:14Speaker 7: replace the universal birth dose with a recommendation to delay
- 16:19Speaker 7: that first appetitis be shot until at least two much
- 16:21Speaker 7: of months of age.
- 16:23Speaker 3: Yeah, and the advisory board that did recommend that the
- 16:27Speaker 3: old recommendation, the CDC recommendation. Every one of them was
- 16:31Speaker 3: fired and the new advisory board RFK Junior put on there.
- 16:35Speaker 3: And I have a question, and this is going to
- 16:37Speaker 3: be a football pool boys and girls here at the studio.
- 16:41Speaker 3: At what point do you think that vaccinating your kids
- 16:43Speaker 3: is going to be a felony?
- 16:46Speaker 4: Okay, let's move on. That's a scary ass lot.
- 16:53Speaker 2: Oh what.
- 16:55Speaker 6: Health inspection reports that surface this week showed section four
- 16:59Speaker 6: to three to two at Angel Stadium was hit with
- 17:02Speaker 6: a shutdown. In Specters found the concession stands were not
- 17:06Speaker 6: exactly running a tight ship. Turns out, rats, we're making
- 17:10Speaker 6: themselves at home, and so that seems that they are,
- 17:16Speaker 6: you know, looking at this rodent infestation in Angel Stadium.
- 17:21Speaker 2: Be a little bit frightened of the Kabbabs.
- 17:25Speaker 4: There depends how their cook. Yeah, it depends on the cook.
- 17:30Speaker 3: Uh.
- 17:31Speaker 7: Meta mess China has moved to block Meta's two billion
- 17:36Speaker 7: dollar acquisition of Chinese founded artificial intelligence startup Manus. It's
- 17:42Speaker 7: a decision that reflects Beijing's concerns that it could lose
- 17:45Speaker 7: some key technology to the US. Of course, the tech
- 17:49Speaker 7: war is heating up. The country's State planner demanded that
- 17:53Speaker 7: the two parties unwind the deal that they have made.
- 17:56Speaker 7: The move comes just a couple weeks ahead of President
- 17:59Speaker 7: Trump's much anticipated some with Chinese leader Shijinping in Beijing.
- 18:05Speaker 7: They're expected to talk about trade and technology and all
- 18:08Speaker 7: kinds of fun stuff.
- 18:10Speaker 3: Yeah, so China is and rightly so concerned about our
- 18:14Speaker 3: technology because we are at the forefront of it around
- 18:17Speaker 3: the world. However, China is so rapidly advancing in certain areas,
- 18:22Speaker 3: just blows right past anything the United States is doing,
- 18:26Speaker 3: for example, some chip making, some and certainly electric cars
- 18:31Speaker 3: whole different world. You know, if it was an open market,
- 18:35Speaker 3: Chinese ev vehicles would sell for about forty percent less
- 18:40Speaker 3: than what we pay, and they're better cars.
- 18:44Speaker 4: Oh here's a story, all right.
- 18:45Speaker 6: So you got the Trump administration yesterday say that they
- 18:49Speaker 6: were going to pay two more energy companies I didn't
- 18:52Speaker 6: know they had paid others, but including one developing a
- 18:55Speaker 6: wind project off more obey. They want them to abandon
- 18:59Speaker 6: their projects in federal waters. So basically, the US Department
- 19:04Speaker 6: of the Interior would pay a total of about eight
- 19:08Speaker 6: one hundred and eighty five million to Blue Point Wind
- 19:12Speaker 6: and Golden State Wind to voluntary in their offshore wind leases.
- 19:18Speaker 4: Both agreed.
- 19:18Speaker 3: I mean, well, yeah, look at all the money that
- 19:21Speaker 3: they're getting for not doing anything, for not investing any
- 19:24Speaker 3: more money. Just give us the money and we'll walk away. Now,
- 19:27Speaker 3: it had that's the only way that they the Feds
- 19:30Speaker 3: could get them to walk out, because these are contracts
- 19:32Speaker 3: that were signed. These were contracts that were into entered
- 19:37Speaker 3: into construction had already started and a couple of cases
- 19:39Speaker 3: almost finished. And we know that the administration hates alternative energy,
- 19:44Speaker 3: says it out right that we want fossil fuels. Drill,
- 19:48Speaker 3: baby drill. I mean, that's what that'sa wouldn't they have
- 19:50Speaker 3: turned this down? Yeah, of course they could. Yeah, it's
- 19:55Speaker 3: an altruistic goal to get wind energy. Why did they
- 19:58Speaker 3: just say no? Because you don't want to be on
- 20:01Speaker 3: the wrong side of the federal government when you're involved
- 20:04Speaker 3: with federal lands and federal leases and you just don't
- 20:07Speaker 3: want to get you You do not want this administration
- 20:10Speaker 3: pissed off at you.
- 20:11Speaker 4: It's that simple. It is just that simple.
- 20:13Speaker 3: So they're walking away. Give us enough money, we're walking away.
- 20:18Speaker 3: Do you have an offer they couldn't refuse?
- 20:22Speaker 7: A group of lawmakers says the US wasn't ready for
- 20:25Speaker 7: the fight. A group of Senate Democrats who are on
- 20:29Speaker 7: the Senate Armed Services Committee, including Elizabeth Warren, Mark, Kelly
- 20:33Speaker 7: Kirsten Gillibrand, and Richard Blumenthal, have all argued that the
- 20:38Speaker 7: Pentagon did not take basic precautions ahead of expected Iranian
- 20:43Speaker 7: retaliation after the US and Israel launched the war against
- 20:46Speaker 7: the Iranian regime in late February.
- 20:50Speaker 3: I think the big one is not taking into account
- 20:53Speaker 3: that the Strait of Hormuz will be shut down. I
- 20:55Speaker 3: think that's the big one where it's been said that
- 21:00Speaker 3: the Administration the Pentagon. Maybe the Pentagon did say that
- 21:04Speaker 3: that's a possibility, because the Pentagon goes through every single
- 21:08Speaker 3: possibility you can possibly imagine whenever there is any kind
- 21:12Speaker 3: of any kind of a military invasion, excursion, incursion doesn't matter.
- 21:20Speaker 3: But I think there's an argument here, of course the
- 21:22Speaker 3: Senate Democrats, because the Republicans, it doesn't matter.
- 21:25Speaker 2: What the administration does is never wrong.
- 21:28Speaker 3: All right, So much for that, and we'll see what
- 21:31Speaker 3: happens with the straight of horror moves.
- 21:34Speaker 4: Oh by the way, before we take a.
- 21:35Speaker 3: Break, King Charles is going to be speaking in front
- 21:38Speaker 3: of a joint joint Session of Congress. They put together
- 21:43Speaker 3: both the Senate and the Congress, and occasionally you get
- 21:48Speaker 3: someone to make a speech. Winston Churchill did it, Nataia
- 21:51Speaker 3: who was invited. And so here is King Charles. Here
- 21:55Speaker 3: is the fun part. King Charles is there to celebrate
- 21:59Speaker 3: two hundred fifty years of the US independence from England,
- 22:05Speaker 3: when the US revolted.
- 22:07Speaker 4: Against England and became the United States.
- 22:10Speaker 3: He's going to stand up there and say, two hundred
- 22:13Speaker 3: and fifty years ago this country, the United States of America,
- 22:18Speaker 3: revolted against England.
- 22:21Speaker 6: Fake news, my great great great great great great great grandfather.
- 22:27Speaker 4: That's right. I find it fascinating. Maybe he wants a rematch, Yeah.
- 22:33Speaker 2: Maybe, although he'd have a hard time with it this
- 22:35Speaker 2: time around.
- 22:36Speaker 6: A little unusual, but firm all the same. German Chancellor
- 22:41Speaker 6: Friedrich Mertz said Monday that Iran's leadership is humiliating the
- 22:48Speaker 6: United States and getting US officials to travel to Pakistan
- 22:53Speaker 6: and then leave without any results, and kind of strange
- 22:58Speaker 6: to be hearing this from Germany. But he went on
- 23:03Speaker 6: to say the Iranians are obviously very skilled negotiating, or
- 23:07Speaker 6: rather very skillful at not negotiating.
- 23:11Speaker 3: Yeah, it's you know, it's not that strange for him
- 23:14Speaker 3: to say heretofore it would be. I mean, Germany is
- 23:17Speaker 3: probably the staunchest ally we have in Europe, short of
- 23:20Speaker 3: Great Britain, and it is the most powerful European country
- 23:26Speaker 3: staunch ally of the United States. All of a sudden,
- 23:29Speaker 3: not so much an ally anymore, because the President wants
- 23:33Speaker 3: out of NATO, and Europe relies on NATO big time
- 23:38Speaker 3: for its for not only just not only resources military resources,
- 23:44Speaker 3: but protection so.
- 23:46Speaker 4: And NATO relies on the US.
- 23:48Speaker 2: That's correct, and NATO relies on the US.
- 23:51Speaker 3: And the President has made it clear and did make
- 23:54Speaker 3: it clear to NATO countries you cannot you cannot keep
- 23:58Speaker 3: screwing the United States. We're not gonna pay for all
- 24:00Speaker 3: of it. You're going to come to the table and
- 24:02Speaker 3: pay your share. And they did, they did. The President
- 24:05Speaker 3: was right on Now the issue is opening up the
- 24:09Speaker 3: straight of horn Mooz that the Europe should be part
- 24:12Speaker 3: and parcel of it. And there's the fight going on
- 24:14Speaker 3: between Europe and the US.
- 24:20Speaker 5: It's over for now.
- 24:23Speaker 7: The largest measles outbreak in the US in decades has ended.
- 24:29Speaker 7: There were nearly one thousand confirmed cases over six months
- 24:33Speaker 7: in South Carolina. But now they've had two kind of
- 24:36Speaker 7: infection phases that have passed, and so they're saying, Okay,
- 24:39Speaker 7: it's over now. The outbook started in October, contributing to
- 24:43Speaker 7: a record breaking year for measols cases in the US
- 24:46Speaker 7: along with that large deadly outbreak in West Texas, and
- 24:50Speaker 7: public health experts are attributing the rise in measles cases
- 24:54Speaker 7: to falling vaccination rates.
- 24:58Speaker 3: Now what a shocker, huh? And the vast, vast majority
- 25:01Speaker 3: in this case. The story tells us that ninety percent
- 25:04Speaker 3: of the cases in South Carolina and across the country
- 25:08Speaker 3: where these folks did not receive the MMR vaccine, Which
- 25:13Speaker 3: makes no sense not to receive those vaccines.
- 25:17Speaker 2: I mean, it makes no sense. And you're going to
- 25:20Speaker 2: see an outbreak.
- 25:21Speaker 3: And vaccinations have dropped dramatically, and we talked to Jim
- 25:25Speaker 3: about this all the time, and we're going to see
- 25:28Speaker 3: an uptick in Wapolio, probably because there are plenty of
- 25:33Speaker 3: people out there that just don't want to vaccinate their kids.
- 25:36Speaker 5: And the point I'll start, like at the about pandemic time.
- 25:40Speaker 3: It did no and I think it did also fascerbated it.
- 25:44Speaker 3: But yeah, it's disasterbated. I mean when RFK Junior came
- 25:48Speaker 3: into power, and he came in on the basis that
- 25:52Speaker 3: vaccinations cause autism and there are science backing them up
- 25:57Speaker 3: for decades and decades and decades.
- 25:59Speaker 4: Is in wood?
- 26:01Speaker 6: And what was the Playboy model what's her name that
- 26:05Speaker 6: used to come out and argue with doctors about that.
- 26:09Speaker 3: Justin McCarthy was at her name Jenny McCarthy.
- 26:12Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, so it had been around for a while,
- 26:15Speaker 6: but that absolutely blew it up.
- 26:18Speaker 3: Yeah, you don't see you don't see a cabinet ahead
- 26:21Speaker 3: of aj Jess arguing that, and it's it's gonna hurt,
- 26:24Speaker 3: it's gonna show.
- 26:26Speaker 4: You know, we've heard.
- 26:27Speaker 6: Stories of abuse of religious power in the Christian Church,
- 26:33Speaker 6: even in Judaism and others. Now a spiritual faith leader
- 26:41Speaker 6: in Native American You've got a Nevada judge sentencing this
- 26:46Speaker 6: actor who was in Dances with Wolves. His name is
- 26:49Speaker 6: Nathan Chasing Horse to life in prison for sexually assaulting
- 26:54Speaker 6: Indigenous women and girls, thirteen charges of at least three women.
- 27:00Speaker 4: Who was he and Dances with Wolves? I don't know?
- 27:03Speaker 6: But how old he's only forty nine? How old was
- 27:06Speaker 6: that movie? Thirty years ago.
- 27:09Speaker 3: Yeah, it could be.
- 27:11Speaker 4: I mean at forty nine he would have been so
- 27:13Speaker 4: he may a young man.
- 27:14Speaker 3: Yeah, he played a very young man. And I don't
- 27:17Speaker 3: know what kind of part he had, whether it was
- 27:19Speaker 3: just basically a cameo or just walking on the set. Anyway,
- 27:23Speaker 3: there's and he kept on insisting miscarriage of justice. He
- 27:27Speaker 3: will be eligible for parole in thirty seven years.
- 27:32Speaker 7: If you look at pictures of him, he's obviously a
- 27:35Speaker 7: teenager in this in Dances with Wolves, which was from
- 27:38Speaker 7: nineteen ninety.
- 27:40Speaker 3: Okay, so he didn't have a major part.
- 27:44Speaker 5: I think he did.
- 27:45Speaker 7: I mean I'm looking at when I look at the
- 27:47Speaker 7: pictures of it, I go, oh, yeah, I remember that.
- 27:50Speaker 6: But it was like an eight hour movie. Even a
- 27:53Speaker 6: cameo lasted about an hour.
- 27:55Speaker 3: That's a good point. That's the point, didn't what's his face?
- 27:59Speaker 3: When the best was the Best Picture, Best Director? Kevin Yeah, Carstner,
- 28:06Speaker 3: I think he won. I thought it was a good movie,
- 28:08Speaker 3: by the way, really did great movie. Yeah, you hate
- 28:11Speaker 3: the white guy in that movie. It's very pro Indian.
- 28:16Speaker 4: I hate the white guy in the show.
- 28:17Speaker 3: Yeah, well it's look in the mirror, my man. Oh no,
- 28:22Speaker 3: that's right, you are not.
- 28:23Speaker 4: That's right. No, I'm half dipped.
- 28:25Speaker 2: Yeah you are, okay. I think we have time for
- 28:27Speaker 2: one more Amy.

- 28:59Speaker 7: which this was the official anthem for the twenty twenty
- 29:02Speaker 7: five Fortnight Global Championship. That song, by the way, released
