  Speaker 3: Telling the story once that in this magazine called Rob Report,

  Speaker 3: that there was a statue I used to see for years.

  Speaker 3: I started buying Rob Report magazines years ago. So I

  Speaker 3: just wanted to see what affluent people did, you know,

  Speaker 3: just wanted to see what people with means did, what
• 0:49
  Speaker 3: type of investments they did, what they bought, you know,

  Speaker 3: where they traveled. To the Rob Report it's just like

  Speaker 3: a it's like a big boy toy magazine. You can

  Speaker 3: see what cars is out. No, I didn't have money

  Speaker 3: for none of it. Just I was dreaming, though, you know.

  Speaker 3: I just wanted to see. And there was a statue

  Speaker 3: inside this magazine of this man who was coming out

  Speaker 3: of this bronze rock. And he was completely bronzed and

  Speaker 3: he was muscular, and you know, he didn't look nothing
• 1:21
  Speaker 3: like me, but he was a man coming up out

  Speaker 3: of a rock and he had a huge hammer and
• 1:25
  Speaker 3: a chisel in his hand, and as his body from
• 1:29
  Speaker 3: the waist up was coming out of this huge piece
• 1:31
  Speaker 3: of stone, you could see where it was him who
• 1:34
  Speaker 3: had been chiseling informing himself. So the name of the
• 1:38
  Speaker 3: statue was self made man. And for years man, I said, Man,
• 1:43
  Speaker 3: I'm gonna get a big house one day, and I'm
• 1:44
  Speaker 3: gonna put that statue in the backyard in the corner.

  Speaker 3: That's gonna be my little spot where I go chill,
• 1:51
  Speaker 3: because I'm a self made man. Well, after years of
• 1:55
  Speaker 3: working at becoming somebody and having reached a degree of success,

  Speaker 3: I would have nothing to do with that statue. There's
• 2:09
  Speaker 3: nothing about that statue that appeals to me anymore. Because
• 2:13
  Speaker 3: on my journey and in my quest to become what
• 2:16
  Speaker 3: I thought would be this self made man, where I
• 2:20
  Speaker 3: could put this statue and had this statue in the
• 2:23
  Speaker 3: corner be kind of cold symbolizing it, I had made it.

  Speaker 3: I realized on my journey there's no such thing as
• 2:30
  Speaker 3: a self made man. That we all need help, and
• 2:33
  Speaker 3: that God places people in our paths along the way
• 2:39
  Speaker 3: that benefit us oftentimes, and it's the most unlikely person
• 2:44
  Speaker 3: often times, and it's the most unlikely way that he
• 2:47
  Speaker 3: presents these people.
• 2:48
  Speaker 2: In front of you. It's crazy how he does it. Man.

  Speaker 3: And so this is a statue now that I look
• 2:54
  Speaker 3: at and I go, I see what the creator was saying.
• 2:57
  Speaker 3: And that's cool, but not for me because I needed help.

  Speaker 3: And I've learned a lot of things like this along
• 3:06
  Speaker 3: the way. And the part I wanted to share with
• 3:09
  Speaker 3: you all about this is you've got to develop. You've
• 3:14
  Speaker 3: got to develop a sense of purpose. You have to
• 3:18
  Speaker 3: develop a sense of purpose. That's different. See, your purpose
• 3:25
  Speaker 3: is created for you by God. Because when he created
• 3:31
  Speaker 3: you as an individual. From whatever to parents you may have,
• 3:34
  Speaker 3: that's not important here. When he created you, he had
• 3:39
  Speaker 3: something in mind for you, and it was a purpose.
• 3:43
  Speaker 3: God has not created a single soul to become a criminal.

  Speaker 3: God has never created a single soul to be a
• 3:50
  Speaker 3: drug dealer. This came about through some decisions we made
• 3:55
  Speaker 3: as sinners, and we stayed in that place. But see
• 4:00
  Speaker 3: what He created us. He has a wonderful idea for us.

  Speaker 3: But God gives us human beings this thing called choice,
• 4:08
  Speaker 3: and we have the power to decide. So you can
• 4:11
  Speaker 3: decide if you're going to adhere to the purpose that
• 4:14
  Speaker 3: God created you and made you for. Or you can
• 4:17
  Speaker 3: go ahead and make some choices on your own. So like,
• 4:21
  Speaker 3: if God wanted to give you a life and give
• 4:23
  Speaker 3: it to come to you and give you life more abundantly,
• 4:25
  Speaker 3: and that's his promise. If you come to him, if
• 4:28
  Speaker 3: you choose him, then cool. But if you say, well
• 4:32
  Speaker 3: this ain't moving along fast enough, I'm gonna get my
• 4:35
  Speaker 3: own life of abundance, I'm gonna start slinging.
• 4:37
  Speaker 2: Well, guess what now, Tada.
• 4:41
  Speaker 3: You made a decision and seek God's decisions and choices.
• 4:45
  Speaker 3: The one thing I learned about them, God's decisions, choices,
• 4:48
  Speaker 3: his voice.
• 4:49
  Speaker 2: It has no sin in it.
• 4:51
  Speaker 3: And it amazing how many people it came up to
• 4:52
  Speaker 3: you and said, the Lord wanted me to do this
• 4:55
  Speaker 3: to you, and I'm doing it. That God is punishing you,
• 4:57
  Speaker 3: and I'm doing this to you because God gonna see
• 5:00
  Speaker 3: that you get your day.

  Speaker 2: Who is this person?
• 5:03
  Speaker 3: Who is this person that God all of a sudden
• 5:06
  Speaker 3: gave this authority and power to God didn't get at
• 5:09
  Speaker 3: the nobody, man, nobody. This person only had the right
• 5:13
  Speaker 3: to hold you to your past, the right to make
• 5:16
  Speaker 3: you pay. So who makes them pay when they make
• 5:19
  Speaker 3: mistakes because they all make them. So when I say
• 5:23
  Speaker 3: you have to have a sense of you have to
• 5:25
  Speaker 3: develop a strong sense of purpose. That means you have
• 5:28
  Speaker 3: to strongly get in touch with your creator to find
• 5:31
  Speaker 3: out what the purpose you were created for. See it's
• 5:35
  Speaker 3: two things that I had to learn along the way.

  Speaker 3: My career was what I was paid for. My calling
• 5:43
  Speaker 3: is what I was made for. See, it's two different things, folks.

  Speaker 3: It took me a long time to learn it. Some
• 5:50
  Speaker 3: people think that they calling is to be a performer. Well,
• 5:55
  Speaker 3: that's what you paid for, and a big part of
• 5:58
  Speaker 3: your life is your performance. It's time directly to your gift.

  Speaker 3: But what you made for, though, what you made for,
• 6:05
  Speaker 3: is to bring about some significant change in another human
• 6:09
  Speaker 3: beings lives because we are all linked together in this chain.

  Speaker 2: That's what you are here for.

  Speaker 3: Everybody has a purpose to do something wonderful, meaningful, or

  Speaker 3: impactful for another person. You think the God that invented
• 6:24
  Speaker 3: the airplane was merely inventing the airplane so he could fly. Now,

  Speaker 3: his purpose was to become an inventor, to come up
• 6:34
  Speaker 3: with this invention.

  Speaker 2: So he could fly and we all fly.

  Speaker 3: See, sometimes God will make you successful so you can
• 6:41
  Speaker 3: become successful.

  Speaker 2: So you can turn around to teach other people how
• 6:44
  Speaker 2: to become successful.

  Speaker 3: God save people, so you can turn around it tell
• 6:49
  Speaker 3: other people how wonderful it is to be saved. You

  Speaker 3: see how this thing work. That's what we have to
• 6:55
  Speaker 3: do as people. And it's nothing that we have to
• 6:57
  Speaker 3: go and discover. We have to go and develop. But

  Speaker 3: if you haven't discovered your purpose, it's simply because here's it.

  Speaker 3: If you haven't discovered your purpose, it's simply because you

  Speaker 3: have not contacted the creator and maker of your soul

  Speaker 3: to ask and find out why you were created. It's

  Speaker 3: as simple as that. If you buy a Toyota, there's

  Speaker 3: an owner's manual on the inside that will tell you

  Speaker 3: everything you know, how to best operate your Toyota, how
• 7:36
  Speaker 3: to make it work, what to do. They got a

  Speaker 3: troubleshooting section. Your faith is the same thing as an
• 7:44
  Speaker 3: owner's manual in your car. Open up that book, man,
• 7:49
  Speaker 3: find out how to jumpstart your life, how to troubleshoot
• 7:52
  Speaker 3: it and get on with your life and find out
• 7:54
  Speaker 3: your purpose and develop a strong sense of purpose.
