- 0:05Speaker 1: You've heard the phrase it takes a village, right in
- 0:08Speaker 1: terms of like raising your kids.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Yes, I have. I have heard that.
- 0:12Speaker 1: Okay, I fully subscribe to this that it does take
- 0:15Speaker 1: a village, And so I am turning to my FM
- 0:19Speaker 1: area village for advice. My teenager, he's fourteen, he'll bed,
- 0:27Speaker 1: but not.
- 0:28Speaker 2: Old enough to know anything.
- 0:29Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, you nailed it.
- 0:31Speaker 2: That's exactly well.
- 0:33Speaker 1: Your dad is correct, Thank you, Greg Gldon. So he's
- 0:37Speaker 1: turning fifteen in October. He starts high school this next
- 0:41Speaker 1: school year. Just for context on who he is, he
- 0:44Speaker 1: officially gave me his pitch for him joining social media.
- 0:51Speaker 1: So right now, he's staying in Washington for a few
- 0:54Speaker 1: weeks of the summer to be with his dad. We're
- 0:56Speaker 1: not together, kids are visiting their dad. I get a
- 1:00Speaker 1: text from him Sunday night. These are the following reasons
- 1:03Speaker 1: why I should get Snapchat. One all of my friends
- 1:06Speaker 1: use it and it would be easier for me to
- 1:08Speaker 1: communicate with them. Two, I will only add my friends.
- 1:11Speaker 1: Three I am a responsible young man. In parentheses, I think,
- 1:16Speaker 1: thank you for listening to my presentation, and so I
- 1:21Speaker 1: told it instead of my knee jerk reaction by the way,
- 1:24Speaker 1: is to say, no, that's where my heart, my gut.
- 1:28Speaker 1: That's what it was telling me that he did say.
- 1:31Speaker 1: I did say to him. I will take this into
- 1:33Speaker 1: consideration and get back to you with an answer later
- 1:36Speaker 1: this week, so I still have some time. I must
- 1:39Speaker 1: also discuss this with your father. And he said, okay, honey,
- 1:43Speaker 1: good night. It's like good night, my baby. So he's
- 1:47Speaker 1: so fun.
- 1:49Speaker 3: I want to know should I let.
- 1:52Speaker 1: Him join Snapchat or social media in general. He has
- 1:58Speaker 1: a phone, he does not have internet access, so so far,
- 2:04Speaker 1: right now, all he can do is text his friends, right,
- 2:07Speaker 1: But I'm not naive, and so I know that his
- 2:10Speaker 1: friends can send him whatever, like videos, messages, screenchuts, whatever
- 2:14Speaker 1: memes they want to send.
- 2:16Speaker 3: I know that.
- 2:16Speaker 1: So right now what we do is random phone checks.
- 2:21Speaker 1: So at any given moment, I can just grab his
- 2:24Speaker 1: phone and look through all his stuff, and he's fine
- 2:26Speaker 1: with that. And I've never found anything alarming. I've found
- 2:30Speaker 1: like gross I'm a boy stuff, but nothing nothing alarming.
- 2:36Speaker 1: And so now this, you know, social media. I've been
- 2:39Speaker 1: trying to stave this off for as long as possible,
- 2:41Speaker 1: so I don't know if it's avoidable or not. So yes,
- 2:45Speaker 1: uh seven oh one two eight zho one nine eight seven,
- 2:48Speaker 1: give give us a call, send a text. I posed
- 2:52Speaker 1: this question on Facebook should I let my kid join
- 2:55Speaker 1: social media?
- 2:57Speaker 3: But I do want both sides of the story.
- 2:59Speaker 1: So if the answer is no, I am very receptive
- 3:03Speaker 1: to that. But I also want to know parents whose
- 3:05Speaker 1: kids do have social media how do you monitor that?
- 3:09Speaker 1: Because when I present my argument to my fourteen year
- 3:12Speaker 1: old son, I want to have all the bases covered.
- 3:15Speaker 4: I'm on Aiden, Steam here, Aiden, get on social media,
- 3:18Speaker 4: get out.
- 3:19Speaker 2: There, get everywhere.
- 3:20Speaker 4: How else are you going to secretly flirt with girls
- 3:23Speaker 4: without your mom knowing?
- 3:24Speaker 3: Oh my goshrible gates.
- 3:27Speaker 5: No, No, there's absolutely nothing good coming out of social media.
- 3:38Speaker 1: My kids are twelve, nine, seven, and five. We're getting
- 3:42Speaker 1: a house phone. The question that's a great line question
- 3:47Speaker 1: is my teenager who's starting high school this fall, has
- 3:52Speaker 1: asked if he could get a snapchat, And so I
- 3:54Speaker 1: pose the question to Facebook should I let him join
- 3:58Speaker 1: social media?
- 3:59Speaker 3: Why or why not?
- 4:00Speaker 1: And that was Courtney's response that no, nothing good comes
- 4:03Speaker 1: from social media.
- 4:05Speaker 3: She's just getting a house phone for her kids.
- 4:08Speaker 1: But you know what, there were pros and cons for this,
- 4:12Speaker 1: Ashley said, absolutely no to Snapchat and social media too
- 4:17Speaker 1: many creeps which you can't keep up on. Because messages
- 4:20Speaker 1: can disappear or be deleted, it's hard to monitor. And
- 4:23Speaker 1: that is something that because I use Snapchat and I
- 4:26Speaker 1: know that I'm a wholesome lady, but I do know
- 4:29Speaker 1: how Snapchat works and messages do disappear. But then we
- 4:33Speaker 1: had a few people who were like on board with it.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Ashley said, each kid is different on social media. All
- 4:39Speaker 1: you can do is give your child a chance to
- 4:42Speaker 1: prove which way he will go. And in my son's
- 4:46Speaker 1: pitch to me, he did cite that he is a
- 4:49Speaker 1: responsible young man and.
- 4:51Speaker 2: So that thinks he thinks, which is great.
- 4:54Speaker 1: He did add that, yeah, that he thinks, and so
- 4:56Speaker 1: maybe I do give him a chance. Amberson, they have
- 5:00Speaker 1: Family Center on Snapchat, which allows her to monitor her
- 5:04Speaker 1: fourteen year old who her fourteen year old interacts with.
- 5:08Speaker 1: Because some people I know a lot of people were like, no,
- 5:11Speaker 1: social media is evil, blah blah blah, And I get that,
- 5:14Speaker 1: but also I do know that their kids out there
- 5:16Speaker 1: with social media, and so the parents chiming in saying
- 5:20Speaker 1: how they monitor their kids.
- 5:21Speaker 3: I find that helpful.
- 5:22Speaker 4: Also, Yeah, what so for kids these days. What about
- 5:27Speaker 4: letting him have Facebook? Or is that super uncool to fourteen?
- 5:30Speaker 3: Oh my gosh.
- 5:31Speaker 1: If I came back and said you can't have Snapchat,
- 5:34Speaker 1: but you can have Facebook, he'd say, what do you.
- 5:36Speaker 3: Want me to commit social suicide?
- 5:38Speaker 6: What are you.
- 5:38Speaker 3: Doing to meet mother?
- 5:40Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 5:40Speaker 2: Now I don't need it.
- 5:41Speaker 3: We did have.
- 5:43Speaker 1: This feels like the most official answer. So this is
- 5:46Speaker 1: Tom and he said school District Technology coordinator wig in.
- 5:50Speaker 3: Oh, okay, titleh exactly.
- 5:52Speaker 1: There's so much about Snapchat that makes it a terrible
- 5:55Speaker 1: social media platform with teens. The fact that messages disappears,
- 6:00Speaker 1: that's like the big worry on their end, leads to
- 6:03Speaker 1: cyber bullying, sending revealing photos, and so much more. I
- 6:07Speaker 1: recommend using common Sense Media's lessons on digital citizenships, specifically
- 6:12Speaker 1: online safety before use of any social media. You know
- 6:16Speaker 1: what I didn't think about that. I use common Sense
- 6:19Speaker 1: Media to look up what movies I'll watch with my kids,
- 6:23Speaker 1: and I have no.
- 6:24Speaker 2: Idea what this is, Oh common sense Media.
- 6:27Speaker 1: It's like you h a website and then you type
- 6:29Speaker 1: in like what movie you want to watch with your kids,
- 6:32Speaker 1: and then it'll come up with like a score or
- 6:35Speaker 1: a rating based on like, based on these elements in
- 6:39Speaker 1: the film, it's okay for you to watch this with
- 6:42Speaker 1: your thirteen plus year old or with your seven plus
- 6:45Speaker 1: year old. I just didn't know that they had like
- 6:47Speaker 1: a digital screening thing. You know what, we didn't have
- 6:50Speaker 1: any of this when we were kids.
- 6:52Speaker 4: I was gonna say, being a parent nowadays sounds like
- 6:54Speaker 4: an absolute nightmare. Back in the day, my parents would
- 6:58Speaker 4: let me hop on my bike or the summer and
- 7:00Speaker 4: kind of just go anywhere. And I think they just
- 7:03Speaker 4: sort of hoped, right.
- 7:04Speaker 3: I think that's where we were at.
- 7:06Speaker 4: Just surviving on hope and adrenaline.
- 7:13Speaker 1: My kid wants to join Snapchat, he wants social media.
- 7:18Speaker 1: Do your kids have social media? Why or why not?
- 7:22Speaker 1: Seven o one two eight oh one to nine eight seven.
- 7:24Speaker 1: I need your advice.
- 7:25Speaker 3: I want to.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Know all of the the opinions. I need both sides.
- 7:30Speaker 1: I need to make a good argument to my kid
- 7:33Speaker 1: one way or the other.
- 7:34Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 7:34Speaker 4: I can't believe the problems parents have to deal with nowadays.
- 7:37Speaker 4: Back in the day, parents would dread like, oh the talk,
- 7:40Speaker 4: you know. Now they dread like, oh god, my kid
- 7:44Speaker 4: wants TikTok. Yeah, you know what I'm saying that would.
- 7:47Speaker 3: Be getting the top from.
- 7:48Speaker 4: A TikTok experts exactly seven oh one two eight zero
- 7:52Speaker 4: one nine eight seven.
- 7:53Speaker 2: Who's this?
- 7:54Speaker 7: This is Lisa. My daughter is a teenager and she
- 7:58Speaker 7: has Snap and.
- 8:00Speaker 3: Book and how do you monitor that?
- 8:03Speaker 7: One of the well, one second, one of the only
- 8:06Speaker 7: reasons why she has Facebook is because she likes to
- 8:10Speaker 7: go on the marketplace to look for horse stuff.
- 8:15Speaker 4: I am so guilty of just scrolling marketplace looking at
- 8:18Speaker 4: stuff I do not need.
- 8:20Speaker 7: Yep. And she also wants a nineteen seventies pickup by
- 8:26Speaker 7: right now.
- 8:26Speaker 2: You can find a ton of those on Facebook.
- 8:28Speaker 3: Yeah, raising the coolest daughter like.
- 8:32Speaker 7: She also shows me all of them, like, we need
- 8:34Speaker 7: this one, we need this one. I love that you
- 8:37Speaker 7: know every child's different. You guys know what's right for
- 8:40Speaker 7: your child.
- 8:41Speaker 2: Lisa, Can I ask you when you were a teenager?
- 8:43Speaker 4: Were you responsible enough for social media?
- 8:49Speaker 7: I was born in nineteen eighty.
- 8:51Speaker 1: Okay, so wait, so were you in the in the
- 8:53Speaker 1: aim chatrooms AOL chat rooms?
- 8:56Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 8:58Speaker 7: Oh yep, no, yeah, good times.
- 9:11Speaker 4: We love to start every show off on a positive note,
- 9:14Speaker 4: and we celebrate the little things here on Big ninety
- 9:17Speaker 4: eight point seven. Angie, do you have a little victory
- 9:20Speaker 4: for us this morning.
- 9:22Speaker 1: Yes, I went yesterday to watch the re release of
- 9:27Speaker 1: This is Final Tap. It was like the last day
- 9:30Speaker 1: that they were having it in theaters because they're doing
- 9:32Speaker 1: a sequel. And then at the very end, if you
- 9:35Speaker 1: go watch it, it'll show you a little clip from the
- 9:38Speaker 1: sequel that's coming out like forty years later.
- 9:41Speaker 4: Oh what are they calling a cranium tap? No, I
- 9:46Speaker 4: thought you'd like that. I thought you'd like that.
- 9:49Speaker 1: It's just Final Tap tu but for those who know
- 9:52Speaker 1: the two. But for those who know the two is
- 9:55Speaker 1: the Stonehenge.
- 9:57Speaker 7: All.
- 9:58Speaker 3: Yeah, So I was excited to I see. I had
- 10:00Speaker 3: never seen it.
- 10:02Speaker 1: I only had seen like clips of it, you know,
- 10:04Speaker 1: throughout the years or whatever.
- 10:05Speaker 3: I try to be cultured.
- 10:07Speaker 1: But I finally sat down and watched it with Mikey,
- 10:10Speaker 1: who's like a super fan, and so that was really
- 10:13Speaker 1: fun to do.
- 10:14Speaker 3: Last night.
- 10:14Speaker 1: I stayed up past my bedtime to watch it, but
- 10:17Speaker 1: it was very worth it.
- 10:18Speaker 3: Wow.
- 10:18Speaker 4: Yeah, I remember the first time I saw Spinal Tap.
- 10:21Speaker 4: I was fifteen or sixteen years old. I've seen it
- 10:24Speaker 4: a couple times since, but it's been so long. I
- 10:26Speaker 4: only remember, you know, big moments from that movie. So
- 10:29Speaker 4: kind of cool, kind of a cult classic.
- 10:31Speaker 1: It is such a cult classic, and now I'm happy
- 10:34Speaker 1: to be in the cult.
- 10:36Speaker 3: What about you, Gabe, what's your little victim?
- 10:38Speaker 4: My little victory would be I remembered how to do
- 10:41Speaker 4: everything so far this morning at the board. Yes, I
- 10:45Speaker 4: have used in eight months two or something like that,
- 10:49Speaker 4: two or three vacation days, one right around Christmas last year,
- 10:52Speaker 4: and then two this past week on Thursday and Monday.
- 10:56Speaker 2: So I'm just glad to be back. That's kind of
- 10:58Speaker 2: my little victory.
- 11:00Speaker 4: I'm not one of those individuals who it's like, oh
- 11:02Speaker 4: my gosh, I live to work and I just can't
- 11:05Speaker 4: not go to work or whatever. I like my vacation
- 11:07Speaker 4: days just like the next person. Yeah, you do kind
- 11:10Speaker 4: of miss being in here, kind of b essing with
- 11:12Speaker 4: Angie hanging.
- 11:13Speaker 3: Out with you, right, I was waiting for who's.
- 11:16Speaker 4: Hanging out with us here on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 11:18Speaker 4: So I am glad to be back after just a
- 11:21Speaker 4: little bit of a fourth of July mini vacate, but
- 11:24Speaker 4: glad to be with you. I'm I'm sure Angie held
- 11:27Speaker 4: down the fort spectacularly, thanks, But I am glad to
- 11:31Speaker 4: kind of get a normal work day today.
- 11:33Speaker 1: It's nicer when we're in here together one person. There
- 11:39Speaker 1: are some life hacks for good and there's some life
- 11:43Speaker 1: hacks for evil and to keep things balanced.
- 11:47Speaker 3: I'm going to share with you.
- 11:49Speaker 1: A life hack for evil, but I feel like if
- 11:54Speaker 1: I make you aware of it, then you know you
- 11:56Speaker 1: can spin it into a positive.
- 11:59Speaker 2: Okay, to see how you do that?
- 12:01Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, here there's a new hack for cheating.
- 12:06Speaker 1: Oh that basically is foolproof, and this is what it is.
- 12:10Speaker 8: Just learn today that people have been cheating through the
- 12:12Speaker 8: notes app. So you click your notes app, you type
- 12:15Speaker 8: in what you want to say to your side piece,
- 12:16Speaker 8: then you click the share button and this thing comes
- 12:19Speaker 8: up and it says collaborate. Then just pick who you
- 12:21Speaker 8: want to send it to, whoever's number you got, and
- 12:23Speaker 8: then they can open their notes app and they can
- 12:25Speaker 8: add or change your.
- 12:26Speaker 4: Note and look at this.
- 12:27Speaker 2: It says they edited the note.
- 12:29Speaker 8: And then you could just delete what you said and
- 12:30Speaker 8: nobody's gonna know.
- 12:32Speaker 2: You know, it's so funny.
- 12:33Speaker 4: There is someone listening right now who heard that and went,
- 12:38Speaker 4: oh god, I need to erase what's in my notes
- 12:41Speaker 4: apps with my side piece. Someone just heard that in
- 12:44Speaker 4: panic this morning yes.
- 12:46Speaker 1: But someone also heard that and thought I have felt
- 12:49Speaker 1: for weeks that there's something off, and I'm going through
- 12:53Speaker 1: their phone and I can't find anything. It's probably because
- 12:59Speaker 1: you haven't looked in the notes app. This is wild
- 13:03Speaker 1: work Like at this point, just break up and.
- 13:07Speaker 3: Date someone new. Yeah, you're going through too many hoops.
- 13:11Speaker 1: I knew someone who was cheating through the Words with Friends.
- 13:15Speaker 3: App because there's like a private chat.
- 13:18Speaker 1: When you do Words of Friends, you can like private
- 13:21Speaker 1: chat with you know the person you're playing. Sure, and
- 13:24Speaker 1: that's where they were they were cheating.
- 13:28Speaker 4: I mean, I've I've never cheated on someone, So all
- 13:31Speaker 4: of these things sound crazy to me.
- 13:33Speaker 2: I really need to up my game, I guess.
- 13:35Speaker 3: Well, Yeah, where there's a will, there's a way.
- 13:38Speaker 2: This works.
- 13:45Speaker 4: Summer of twenty twenty five could be a time for
- 13:48Speaker 4: you to potentially make a career change. We recently just
- 13:52Speaker 4: heard about Craig Robinson leaving comedy. Yeah all right, if
- 13:57Speaker 4: you are in the FM area, maybe this summer is
- 13:59Speaker 4: the summer of doing something different. Maybe you want to
- 14:03Speaker 4: go work somewhere else. Maybe you want something with different hours,
- 14:06Speaker 4: maybe you want something with better benefits. Whatever people think
- 14:09Speaker 4: of a new job, right, and this is a part
- 14:12Speaker 4: of it, but not always a lot of people will leave,
- 14:14Speaker 4: like you know, for more money essentially, right.
- 14:17Speaker 2: But sometimes you just want to do something else, Yeah,
- 14:20Speaker 2: Like you just want better hours.
- 14:21Speaker 4: Better benefits, more time with your kids, less time with
- 14:24Speaker 4: your kids.
- 14:26Speaker 2: Whatever.
- 14:26Speaker 1: Are you really maybe you realize you're just like not
- 14:28Speaker 1: passionate about the thing that you were passionate about before
- 14:32Speaker 1: seven oh one, two, eight oh one to nine eighty seven.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Have you ever just like completely pivoted and changed your
- 14:39Speaker 1: career path because Craig Robinson he's leaving comedy allegedly. I
- 14:43Speaker 1: think it's a stunt, yeah, but.
- 14:44Speaker 3: You never know.
- 14:45Speaker 1: There was that guy who went viral on Instagram. He
- 14:49Speaker 1: was working at whatever job and he was like, I
- 14:51Speaker 1: don't like my job. I want to change my life.
- 14:54Speaker 1: He cashed out his four oh one K and decided
- 14:56Speaker 1: I'm actually just gonna buy a boat and they around
- 15:01Speaker 1: the world or whatever, and like he really did it.
- 15:04Speaker 1: This was such a fascinating journey and he ended up
- 15:08Speaker 1: like he was trying to end up in Hawaii, I
- 15:10Speaker 1: think it was.
- 15:11Speaker 3: And he did it him on a boat with his.
- 15:14Speaker 4: Cat, and people were obsessed with watching this on Instagram.
- 15:20Speaker 2: It was incredible.
- 15:20Speaker 1: Yeah, it was really inspirational because it was like this guy.
- 15:23Speaker 1: You people talk about like changing their career because they're unhappy,
- 15:27Speaker 1: but a lot of people don't go through with it.
- 15:29Speaker 2: And I get it.
- 15:30Speaker 1: There's a lot of factors, like sometimes you can't just
- 15:32Speaker 1: up and change your life.
- 15:33Speaker 2: Oh, there's tons of people. But when you.
- 15:35Speaker 1: See people who do, it's like, oh, this is inspirational.
- 15:39Speaker 1: So this is me announcing that I'm leaving radio. No,
- 15:43Speaker 1: I'm kidding, No, I love radio. In fact, I was
- 15:46Speaker 1: going to be a teacher. I went to school to
- 15:48Speaker 1: be a teacher. I was in college and halfway through
- 15:52Speaker 1: I was like, oh my gosh, this is not it
- 15:57Speaker 1: for me.
- 15:58Speaker 3: What am I going to do to know how to
- 16:00Speaker 3: take care of myself. I'm supposed to be teaching kids.
- 16:02Speaker 3: I have to make a pivot.
- 16:04Speaker 1: And then a lot of things happened and I ended
- 16:07Speaker 1: up in rading on this is my dream career.
- 16:10Speaker 3: We have someone on the phone. You've changed your career.
- 16:13Speaker 6: Yes, I left the stable marketing job to become a
- 16:15Speaker 6: full time writer. It was scary and chaotic, but totally
- 16:19Speaker 6: worth it. I've never felt more like myself. Even my
- 16:22Speaker 6: mom still thinks it's just a phase, and.
- 16:24Speaker 2: That was that was Marino.
- 16:26Speaker 4: I appreciate that, and it can be it can be terrifying,
- 16:31Speaker 4: but you know what, maybe that changed is exactly what
- 16:33Speaker 4: you need. If a new career is what you need,
- 16:36Speaker 4: make this summer the year you do it. Now July
- 16:39Speaker 4: of twenty twenty five.
- 16:46Speaker 2: The problem.
- 16:47Speaker 3: It's today.
- 16:48Speaker 1: We have Marissa who needs help determining if she's the problem. Hey,
- 16:53Speaker 1: Gab and Angie, hope you're having a great start to July.
- 16:56Speaker 1: My name is Marissa, and I was wondering am I
- 16:58Speaker 1: the problem? Every Fourth of July weekend, me and my
- 17:01Speaker 1: siblings do a beach weekend Airbnb, grilling, games, fireworks.
- 17:05Speaker 3: I plan it all and book.
- 17:07Speaker 1: Everything, but my one sister, Tara, has flaked out three
- 17:11Speaker 1: years in a row. No emergencies, just stuff like bad
- 17:15Speaker 1: vibes or flat out ghosting us. This year, I gave
- 17:21Speaker 1: Tara another chance, and she confirmed twice she was coming,
- 17:25Speaker 1: but went silent two days before we took off, So
- 17:30Speaker 1: I took Tara off the Airbnb and invited my bestie.
- 17:34Speaker 1: Then the morning of Tara texts me what's the address?
- 17:38Speaker 3: But I told her she was replaced, and she flipped out.
- 17:41Speaker 1: And now my family says I'm the bad guy for
- 17:44Speaker 1: making my sister miss our fourth of July. Do you
- 17:47Speaker 1: think I'm the problem?
- 17:49Speaker 2: Wait? So her sister said she was going, and yes.
- 17:52Speaker 1: She confirmed twice, but she didn't communicate with her two
- 17:57Speaker 1: days before, and so when she finally texted her the
- 18:01Speaker 1: morning of, she asked for the address, and then Marissa said, oh,
- 18:07Speaker 1: you've been replaced.
- 18:08Speaker 4: I I hate to say it. I think Marissa, I
- 18:11Speaker 4: think you are the problem.
- 18:13Speaker 3: You think Marissa's the problem?
- 18:14Speaker 4: You got to text each other every day to say
- 18:17Speaker 4: I'm going seven.
- 18:18Speaker 1: Oh one too one nine eight seven? Do you think
- 18:21Speaker 1: Marissa is the problem? I feel like I understand where
- 18:26Speaker 1: Marissa's coming from.
- 18:28Speaker 2: I don't think she's a bad dame in the past.
- 18:30Speaker 3: She has been flaky in the past. She didn't and
- 18:33Speaker 3: I know that.
- 18:34Speaker 1: It's like, well, if I confirmed, then why do I
- 18:36Speaker 1: have to like keep confirming?
- 18:38Speaker 3: Okay, but Tara, you did that to yourself.
- 18:40Speaker 1: You do have to keep confirming because of your flaky
- 18:43Speaker 1: behavior in the past. So for Marissa to not hear
- 18:47Speaker 1: from her for two days before that sounds like a
- 18:50Speaker 1: pre ghosting. And I'm team Marissa on this. I think
- 18:54Speaker 1: Marissa you're not in the wrong. If Tara didn't have
- 18:58Speaker 1: this history of fla he dumb flake ship.
- 19:02Speaker 3: I don't know what the word is.
- 19:05Speaker 2: Oh good try there, I got good try.
- 19:09Speaker 1: And she didn't have the history of flakiness, then I
- 19:11Speaker 1: would think Marissa was the bad guy, and that she
- 19:14Speaker 1: just wanted her friend to come along the whole time.
- 19:16Speaker 4: And maybe this is just such a That's exactly what
- 19:19Speaker 4: I was just about to say. She I think she
- 19:21Speaker 4: was like, I don't need to hang out. I want
- 19:22Speaker 4: to hang on my bestie.
- 19:23Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 19:23Speaker 1: Well, and she probably oh you know what, Marissa, did
- 19:28Speaker 1: you invite her and just assume she wasn't gonna come right,
- 19:32Speaker 1: already had the friend, Yeah, already had the friend on deck,
- 19:38Speaker 1: and then thought, oh, well, she didn't text me for
- 19:40Speaker 1: two days, so that.
- 19:41Speaker 3: Counts by Marisa. I think that's what I think you're
- 19:46Speaker 3: the villain. Actually, look how I did a one eighty.
- 19:49Speaker 1: What do you think do you think Marissa is the
- 19:50Speaker 1: problem for kicking her her sister Tara off the fourth
- 19:55Speaker 1: of July weekend because she didn't hear from her two
- 19:58Speaker 1: days before the trip.
- 20:00Speaker 4: Are you someone who likes to go out to eat?
- 20:05Speaker 4: Do you prefer takeout? Or fast food as I like
- 20:08Speaker 4: to call it.
- 20:09Speaker 2: Or are you someone who likes to cook at home? Brandon?
- 20:13Speaker 2: What about you?
- 20:14Speaker 1: Man, I like to go.
- 20:15Speaker 7: Out to eat.
- 20:16Speaker 9: I think it's like, I don't know, it's like I'm
- 20:19Speaker 9: doing something and making a night out of it.
- 20:21Speaker 7: So that sounds stupid.
- 20:22Speaker 4: Thank you, m Yes, that is one hundred percent the
- 20:26Speaker 4: correct answer. If you have the choice to avoid cooking
- 20:31Speaker 4: and doing all of those dishes and cleaning up and that,
- 20:35Speaker 4: if you can just go.
- 20:36Speaker 2: Somewhere and pay for someone.
- 20:39Speaker 4: To do that for you, superior answer. And I don't
- 20:42Speaker 4: even think it's close. This was a not a heated
- 20:45Speaker 4: but one of those like fun heated family conversations whilst
- 20:47Speaker 4: I was camping over Fourth of July weekend. A shock
- 20:51Speaker 4: that people like to cook at their own house.
- 20:53Speaker 1: Okay, I'm with you about cooking. I don't love to cook.
- 20:56Speaker 1: I don't like to cook. I would like to avoid cooking.
- 20:59Speaker 1: But the solution is not going to a restaurant, sir.
- 21:03Speaker 1: The solution is takeout because any at this point, because
- 21:08Speaker 1: of you know, all of the delivery services, it doesn't
- 21:11Speaker 1: have to be fast food any restaurant.
- 21:13Speaker 3: Really, it can be takeout.
- 21:16Speaker 1: And for me, That's especially important because Gabe, I'm not
- 21:21Speaker 1: trying to wear a bra, okay, And when I get
- 21:23Speaker 1: home from work, I take this thing off and it's
- 21:26Speaker 1: not coming back on. So I can't then just go
- 21:29Speaker 1: to a restaurant with these swingy hangies loosen about.
- 21:32Speaker 2: I don't deal with that issue.
- 21:34Speaker 1: Oh well, fine, well now I understand why our answers differ.
- 21:39Speaker 3: But take out for me, so I can just relax
- 21:42Speaker 3: without restriction.
- 21:44Speaker 4: Seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 21:46Speaker 4: What about you, Claire?
- 21:48Speaker 9: Honestly, I love cooking when I have the time. There's
- 21:51Speaker 9: something just so calming about it. But on busy days,
- 21:54Speaker 9: it's takeout all the way. And if I'm celebrating or
- 21:57Speaker 9: just you know, want to feel fancy. Nothing beats a
- 21:59Speaker 9: good restaurant you that someone else made.
- 22:02Speaker 3: Okay, So she likes it all.
- 22:04Speaker 4: Yeah, she's a little roller coaster of emotions there. The
