Judge dismisses Trump’s lawsuit over Wall Street Journal’s Epstein letter report
A U.S. judge has rejected the legal action brought by Donald Trump against The Wall Street Journal, doing so with prejudice and putting an end to his effort to contest the outlet’s story on a supposed birthday letter to Jeffrey Epstein. Judge Darrin P. Gayles concluded that Trump's revised complaint failed to plausibly allege that the defendants acted with “actual malice,” the high legal threshold public figures must meet in defamation suits.
