- 0:00Speaker 1: Happy New Year, everybody.
- 0:01Speaker 2: That's right. The NFL season starts in a few hours.
- 0:05Speaker 2: New England on the road playing Seattle. The line is
- 0:09Speaker 2: minus three and a half. The total is 44. It's
- 0:13Speaker 2: right around even for how much money is coming in
- 0:16Speaker 2: on the under and the over or both teams. We're
- 0:19Speaker 2: going to do a deep dive into that right this
- 0:21Speaker 2: very second. Plus a whole lot more. This is the
- 0:25Speaker 2: best betting show ever. I'm Lawrence Pressman. Joe Ranieri, Art DeCesar,
- 0:29Speaker 2: and of course, Ralph Michaels.
- 0:30Speaker 1: It's Wednesday.
- 0:31Speaker 2: Guys, straight into it. Art, I'm going to you first.
- 0:35Speaker 2: New England, Seattle. I am not betting this game. I
- 0:39Speaker 2: will give out my thoughts, but it is a pass
- 0:41Speaker 2: for me. Where do you think we should put our money?
- 0:47Speaker 3: Yeah, listen, Super Bowl rematch. Obviously, we open the season
- 0:50Speaker 3: on a Wednesday night. It's going to attract a lot
- 0:53Speaker 3: of handle for the books. It's a really great matchup.
- 0:55Speaker 3: I mean, we saw, you know, once again, we've talked
- 0:57Speaker 3: about this. These lines have been up forever. You saw
- 1:00Speaker 3: a lot of New England money early at four and
- 1:01Speaker 3: a half and four. There's even some places today in
- 1:04Speaker 3: Vegas that are dealing a three, but, you know, three
- 1:07Speaker 3: minus 120, minus 125, depending on where their juice is
- 1:11Speaker 3: for that particular book. So, Listen, obviously this is a
- 1:15Speaker 3: game where I think the Sharps who got good numbers
- 1:19Speaker 3: on New England are going to be happy there. And
- 1:21Speaker 3: then the public's going to be very much looking at
- 1:23Speaker 3: Seattle at a minus three, minus three and a half
- 1:26Speaker 3: and say, hey, I just saw this game. I'll be
- 1:28Speaker 3: happy to lay it. They'll be happy to start Seattle
- 1:30Speaker 3: off and all their money line parlays tied to Saturday
- 1:33Speaker 3: and Sunday. So that's probably the early look on the game.
- 1:37Speaker 2: Ralph and Joe, before I go to you, real quick, Art,
- 1:39Speaker 2: I want to stay with you and I want to
- 1:41Speaker 2: ask you a question. Now, we saw New England at
- 1:43Speaker 2: four and a half. We saw them at four. We
- 1:44Speaker 2: saw them at three and a half. And there are
- 1:46Speaker 2: a ton of threes out there right now. In your experience,
- 1:51Speaker 2: the wise guys, the smart action betting four and a half,
- 1:54Speaker 2: are they coming back on three? Are we going to
- 1:57Speaker 2: see them come back on three now and then push
- 2:00Speaker 2: it to three and a half a little later? Or
- 2:02Speaker 2: do you think they're going to sit there and say, hey,
- 2:04Speaker 2: we got the best number we're going to hold?
- 2:06Speaker 3: It's a great question. Obviously, the guys who got four
- 2:08Speaker 3: and a half, they got a really great number. There
- 2:11Speaker 3: are two schools of thoughts. I've seen some groups in
- 2:13Speaker 3: the past who feel that they will look for a
- 2:17Speaker 3: middle and they don't mind doing that. And then there
- 2:19Speaker 3: are plenty of groups that say, hey, we got the
- 2:21Speaker 3: best of the number. We're going to get that great
- 2:22Speaker 3: CLV and they're going to move on. So it really
- 2:25Speaker 3: just depends on what sharp syndicate and kind of what
- 2:30Speaker 3: their mindset is. But it's a great point, because there
- 2:32Speaker 3: are definitely people who will now buy back on the
- 2:35Speaker 3: minus three.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Ralph, this is a matchup we see every year. New England, Seattle,
- 2:41Speaker 2: the Super Bowl champs against the Super Bowl runner-ups. There
- 2:45Speaker 2: surely is trends and angles on this. I mean, my
- 2:49Speaker 2: gut feel is Seattle. I'll break it down a little later.
- 2:52Speaker 2: But do you have any sort of trends on this game?
- 2:56Speaker 2: And what do you think we should do with our money?
- 3:00Speaker 4: Well, you know, you look back at game number one,
- 3:03Speaker 4: non-Sunday favorites. So the Monday games, the standalone games, the Monday,
- 3:08Speaker 4: the Thursday, the Friday, you know, whenever we had them.
- 3:11Speaker 4: Going back to 1996, they're only 27 and 39 with
- 3:14Speaker 4: five pushes. That's 41% against the spread. Since 2021, they've
- 3:17Speaker 4: gone four and eight, 33% against the spread. So remember,
- 3:26Speaker 4: While the home team has an edge, the edge is
- 3:29Speaker 4: much less important week one. The teams aren't worn down.
- 3:33Speaker 4: They're not on a restricted travel schedule. They can come
- 3:36Speaker 4: into town as early as they want. And the home team,
- 3:40Speaker 4: like Seattle, going to be dropping a banner, going to
- 3:43Speaker 4: be getting their rings. So to me, there is a
- 3:46Speaker 4: lot of pressure on the home team. And I do
- 3:49Speaker 4: look to play the road team. But just for full disclosure,
- 3:52Speaker 4: I will not have a play on today. or tomorrow,
- 3:57Speaker 4: I am going to put up a fun teaser. Instead
- 3:59Speaker 4: of going crazy, if you don't want to bet these
- 4:01Speaker 4: first two NFL games, I think a fun bet would
- 4:04Speaker 4: be to take the two underdogs tonight and tomorrow and
- 4:07Speaker 4: throw them in a teaser to just have one fun
- 4:10Speaker 4: bet covering you for the first two days of the
- 4:12Speaker 4: NFL season.
- 4:13Speaker 2: Yeah, and why not do the favorites on the money
- 4:16Speaker 2: line as well and go for them all? Joe Ranieri,
- 4:19Speaker 2: New England tonight. Look, I think this New England team
- 4:22Speaker 2: is coming in a bit overrated. They really had... A
- 4:26Speaker 2: lot of things go in their favor last year, and
- 4:28Speaker 2: I think the Seattle team is vicious, and they might
- 4:31Speaker 2: only be getting better. I like minus three here with Seattle.
- 4:35Speaker 2: I'm not going to personally bet it, but I'm telling you,
- 4:38Speaker 2: if a gun was held to my head, I had
- 4:40Speaker 2: to put action on this game. I would take Seattle
- 4:42Speaker 2: minus the three. What do you think?
- 4:45Speaker 5: Listen, both these teams are going to regress, right? Defenses
- 4:49Speaker 5: always regress more than offenses, and Seattle was one of
- 4:53Speaker 5: the best defenses that we saw again last year. They're
- 4:57Speaker 5: still good, but they're also going to come back down
- 4:59Speaker 5: to earth.
- 5:00Speaker 1: The thing to me with New England... is that schedule
- 5:03Speaker 1: was so ridiculously easy.
- 5:05Speaker 5: That every one of their metrics from a year ago
- 5:09Speaker 5: makes this team out to seem like there's a higher ceiling.
- 5:13Speaker 1: There is not.
- 5:14Speaker 5: Drake May made a huge improvement from year one in
- 5:18Speaker 5: year two of his career. Now, all of a sudden,
- 5:21Speaker 5: the schedule is going to be much different. The cakewalk
- 5:24Speaker 5: and all of those big numbers that he had last year,
- 5:27Speaker 5: they're going away. They were one of the best long
- 5:30Speaker 5: play teams in all of the NFL last year. Nobody
- 5:34Speaker 5: hit big plays like New England did.
- 5:36Speaker 1: That goes away. this year.
- 5:39Speaker 5: Bottom line to me is I see more regression coming
- 5:42Speaker 5: from the offense of New England. I do think Seattle's
- 5:45Speaker 5: defense is going to regress. The offense is about the same.
- 5:48Speaker 5: I mean, for the most part, Seattle is the same team.
- 5:52Speaker 5: No way am I betting it over in game one
- 5:54Speaker 5: with the 12th man in a place that since what, 2005?
- 5:59Speaker 5: I think they've only lost seven times on opening day.
- 6:03Speaker 5: Absolutely not to me. Under 44 and a half. I
- 6:08Speaker 5: think first one to 17 actually wins this game.
- 6:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, Joe, I want to talk real quick
- 6:14Speaker 2: about the defense there because with Seattle, sorry, Ruff, I'll
- 6:17Speaker 2: come to you in a second. With Seattle, this defense
- 6:21Speaker 2: only got better and better. This is a defense, a
- 6:23Speaker 2: bunch of no-name players, really no superstars. And under McDonald,
- 6:28Speaker 2: they just got better and better and better and better.
- 6:31Speaker 2: They ended the season in the last six games, maybe
- 6:33Speaker 2: the best unit in the league. I don't know if
- 6:36Speaker 2: the Seattle defense regresses. I actually think we might see
- 6:40Speaker 2: them improve. I do agree with you. Even with A.J. Brown,
- 6:44Speaker 2: I agree with you. I think we see New England regress.
- 6:48Speaker 2: And keep in mind, everybody, New England, I mean, you
- 6:51Speaker 2: want to talk about luck. They had an off year
- 6:54Speaker 2: for Kansas City, off year for Cincinnati, off year for Baltimore,
- 6:57Speaker 2: off year for Buffalo. Denver missed a field goal. Sean
- 7:01Speaker 2: Payton had a brain cramp. And all of a sudden,
- 7:03Speaker 2: New England found themselves in the Super Bowl. There is
- 7:07Speaker 2: opportunities to make money betting against New England this coming year.
- 7:13Speaker 4: Ralph? You know, Joe, you brought up the good point
- 7:16Speaker 4: about that weak schedule early in the season. Let's remember
- 7:20Speaker 4: how this Patriots offense finished. 248 yards against Houston, 13
- 7:24Speaker 4: first downs. 206 yards at Denver, 12 first downs. And
- 7:32Speaker 4: in the Super Bowl, 331 yards and 18 first downs,
- 7:38Speaker 4: scoring just 23 points those last two games.
- 7:41Speaker 2: Yeah, great point, Ralph. There you go, guys. That's our
- 7:44Speaker 2: take on the Seattle-New England game. We'll do the same tomorrow.
- 7:48Speaker 2: San Francisco playing the LA Rams. Art, let's get to
- 7:54Speaker 2: sharp bets, my friend. What do you got going for you?
- 7:57Speaker 3: Absolutely. Three sharp sides in baseball today. Twins, Rangers, Diamondbacks.
- 8:04Speaker 2: Twins, Rangers, and Diamondbacks. Guys, did we win our parlay
- 8:08Speaker 2: of the day yesterday? I'm pretty sure I won my leg.
- 8:12Speaker 3: I definitely didn't win mine, so no.
- 8:14Speaker 2: Okay.
- 8:16Speaker 1: No, I did. Marlins sucked, I think. Did I have
- 8:18Speaker 1: the Marlins? I don't even know what I had there yesterday.
- 8:20Speaker 3: I had the Red Sox.
- 8:21Speaker 1: No, that was me. I had the Red Sox. That's
- 8:27Speaker 1: Brian Powers' fault.
- 8:29Speaker 2: Yeah, we're blamed by Brian Powers. Well, I'll tell you something, guys.
- 8:36Speaker 2: Jays are still one back. I'm still going to stick
- 8:38Speaker 2: with them. Minus 178. I believe in this Jays team.
- 8:42Speaker 2: I actually think they are going to make the wild card.
- 8:46Speaker 2: And I'll tell you something. If I'm playing against the
- 8:49Speaker 2: Jays with Cease and the Savage, I'd be worried. I'm
- 8:54Speaker 2: taking the Jays minus 175 in leg one of a four-teamer.
- 8:59Speaker 2: Keep in mind, we suggest round-robinning our four-teamers. Ralph, you
- 9:02Speaker 2: go next.
- 9:05Speaker 4: Don't use very many yes-run first innings, but we're going
- 9:09Speaker 4: to do so today. Minnesota and Detroit, yes-run first inning,
- 9:14Speaker 4: minus 115. That is a day game, so keep that
- 9:17Speaker 4: in mind.
- 9:17Speaker 2: Joe?
- 9:20Speaker 1: Joe?
- 9:23Speaker 5: Ah call me crazy i will take the cubs at
- 9:26Speaker 5: plus money here today against the milwaukee brewers and.
- 9:31Speaker 2: Art to caesar.
- 9:33Speaker 3: Give me the phillies with sanchez on the mound at
- 9:35Speaker 3: home in a bounce back spot there you go.
- 9:38Speaker 2: That's our parlay of the day uh tna with the
- 9:42Speaker 2: pen this is one of the best segments people love
- 9:44Speaker 2: this segment well if you get great comments uh Also,
- 9:47Speaker 2: shout out to all of you guys. 6,000 views on
- 9:51Speaker 2: YouTube yesterday. Let's break that today, please. I would appreciate that.
- 9:55Speaker 2: Make sure to hit the like button, subscribe to our channel,
- 9:58Speaker 2: and comment, comment.
- 10:00Speaker 1: Comment.
- 10:00Speaker 2: I will do a little mailbag section later on in
- 10:03Speaker 2: the show. And I did have somebody talk to me
- 10:06Speaker 2: about my ace's hand. I will go into that a
- 10:10Speaker 2: little bit later on in the show. Ralph, the microphone
- 10:14Speaker 2: is yours.
- 10:16Speaker 4: Well, guys, we have three college situations to talk about
- 10:20Speaker 4: and one NFL in this week's TNA segment. First, let's
- 10:25Speaker 4: look at college football so far this season. What has occurred? Well,
- 10:28Speaker 4: there's been 99 games with an FBS team versus another opponent.
- 10:33Speaker 4: Those teams are 60, 37, and 2, 62% against the spread.
- 10:40Speaker 4: Favorites have not hit that high of a clip traditionally.
- 10:42Speaker 4: Week one, they did this week. Over-unders... 52.5% to the over.
- 10:48Speaker 4: And FYI, big favorites, those of 35 or higher, 18
- 10:55Speaker 4: and 10, 64.3%. So that's just going over what happened
- 11:01Speaker 4: week one. We have a great game week two. Of course,
- 11:05Speaker 4: I'm talking Texas and Ohio State. And we don't get
- 11:10Speaker 4: as many ranked versus ranked non-conference games as you would expect.
- 11:18Speaker 4: So I went back since 2006. When we have a
- 11:22Speaker 4: regular season non-conference team against two ranked opponents, the home favorite, 56.2%,
- 11:32Speaker 4: the home dog, 44.1%. The game basically at pick'em. When
- 11:40Speaker 4: we have a game with two top 10 teams in
- 11:45Speaker 4: the regular season since 2010, there have only been 21
- 11:48Speaker 4: of them. The home team against two top 10 teams,
- 11:51Speaker 4: 7-13-1 against the spread, 7-13-1 over-under. So when you have
- 11:54Speaker 4: two AP top 10 teams, the road team, 65% against
- 11:56Speaker 4: the spread. The over-under number, 65% to the under. And
- 12:13Speaker 4: going all the way back since 2000. Folks, this is
- 12:17Speaker 4: 26 seasons. This is only the eighth AP top five
- 12:22Speaker 4: versus top five team in 26 years in the regular season.
- 12:28Speaker 4: Home team two and five, over-under, 0-6-1. I do lean
- 12:33Speaker 4: Ohio State under first half as well. I'll be breaking
- 12:36Speaker 4: that game down in more detail at Wager Talk today
- 12:40Speaker 4: after this. And finally, in college football, teams that played
- 12:46Speaker 4: poorly week one continue to do so in week two.
- 12:51Speaker 4: First off, I wanted to pull, how do teams do
- 12:55Speaker 4: if they lost their season opener as a favorite of
- 12:57Speaker 4: 15 points or higher? Three teams did that this week.
- 13:00Speaker 4: Utah State, Charlotte, and Rutgers, those teams the next week,
- 13:05Speaker 4: 18-29 against the spread, 38.3%. If those teams in the
- 13:07Speaker 4: season opener fail to cover by 30 points or more,
- 13:09Speaker 4: that means Utah They could have been a 25-point favorite
- 13:22Speaker 4: and lost outright, or they could have been a 40-point
- 13:26Speaker 4: dog and lost by 10. So they covered the game
- 13:29Speaker 4: by 30 points or more. Like Nevada, LSU, Massachusetts, and
- 13:34Speaker 4: Appalachian State, those teams have continued to play well, going 42-21,
- 13:39Speaker 4: 67% against the spread. Those teams that failed to cover...
- 13:48Speaker 4: their season opener by 30 points or more, like Clemson,
- 13:52Speaker 4: Western Kentucky, and Rutgers, only 27-39, 41% against the spread.
- 14:00Speaker 4: So horrible teams game one continue to play bad in
- 14:04Speaker 4: game two. Teams that had an excellent week one continue
- 14:09Speaker 4: to play well in game number two. And Before I
- 14:14Speaker 4: sign off, let's go into one very important NFL TNA
- 14:20Speaker 4: stat to remember. Since 2013, game number one division dogs.
- 14:29Speaker 1: Very good. 41-21-1.
- 14:31Speaker 4: There are five of them. Since 2008, week number one
- 14:34Speaker 4: division home dogs. 25-9, 74%. Since 2011, NFL Week 1
- 14:44Speaker 4: division home dogs of 1.5 or higher, like the Giants
- 14:49Speaker 4: are this week, 18-4. 82% against the spread. These division
- 15:02Speaker 4: teams know each other. They know the personnel. You're getting
- 15:06Speaker 4: value with the underdog. And this just shows how I
- 15:10Speaker 4: find many of these TNA systems. We break down division dogs,
- 15:14Speaker 4: break down division home dogs, and then find a subset
- 15:17Speaker 4: in there, which gets us a great 18 and four,
- 15:19Speaker 4: 82% ATS record week one NFL TNA.
- 15:26Speaker 2: That's great stuff. Any questions, Joe or Art?
- 15:30Speaker 1: Now, so many new coaches, Ralph, too.
- 15:34Speaker 5: I mean, Harbaugh with the Giants, even though it's new
- 15:36Speaker 5: division going up against established. Does it play a role
- 15:40Speaker 5: at all in any of these numbers with, you know,
- 15:43Speaker 5: new team, new coach, maybe not the same old Giants?
- 15:47Speaker 4: You know, I cannot look at new coaches now. Something
- 15:50Speaker 4: changed in the database where I don't have it.
- 15:53Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:54Speaker 4: But again, you know, the one thing I found in
- 15:57Speaker 4: college football, because I used to do that manually by hand.
- 16:00Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.
- 16:02Speaker 4: People always just put new coaches into one category. It's
- 16:07Speaker 4: a big difference. If you're a new coach because your
- 16:10Speaker 4: team went 0-12 and a guy got fired in game 10,
- 16:12Speaker 4: that's one thing. If you're a new coach that moved
- 16:16Speaker 4: up from the Sun Belt, that took over Tulane because
- 16:19Speaker 4: their coach went out to coach an FBS program, that's
- 16:22Speaker 4: a totally different scenario. So be careful when you're talking
- 16:25Speaker 4: about new coaches, be it a veteran head coach going
- 16:27Speaker 4: to a good team or– A new head coach going
- 16:31Speaker 4: to a poor team, there's a lot of different subsets
- 16:33Speaker 4: in there and not just group them into one category.
- 16:36Speaker 1: Good point.
- 16:37Speaker 2: I just want to point out, new coaches, do they
- 16:41Speaker 2: win or lose their first game? 48% win. So it's
- 16:48Speaker 2: pretty close to dead even on their first game. That's
- 16:51Speaker 2: over a 20-year period. last year it was two and two.
- 16:56Speaker 2: So it'll be interesting to see.
- 16:58Speaker 1: Well, in the NFL, new coaches are usually taking over
- 17:00Speaker 1: crap teams. So yeah.
- 17:04Speaker 4: Very few teams are moving like Harbaugh has the ability
- 17:07Speaker 4: to go to a decent team.
- 17:08Speaker 1: You know, so yeah. So true. Okay.
- 17:14Speaker 2: So yeah.
- 17:16Speaker 1: Art, anything?
- 17:18Speaker 3: No, I mean, listen, Ralph really just hammered home the
- 17:21Speaker 3: divisional home dog. in week one to me. So it
- 17:24Speaker 3: made me even like the giants more.
- 17:28Speaker 2: You like the giants more, huh? Damn.
- 17:30Speaker 4: You are.
- 17:31Speaker 2: I like Dallas. We're going to have to talk off air.
- 17:35Speaker 1: Okay.
- 17:36Speaker 2: Ralph, what do you have to promote for the clients?
- 17:38Speaker 4: 4% TNA 4% no run first inning for today. That's
- 17:46Speaker 4: currently up 15, four and one on those plays. I
- 17:49Speaker 4: have yet to load a play in NFL or college
- 17:51Speaker 4: football for this weekend. I was very conservative week one,
- 17:55Speaker 4: ending it up two and two, coming out of week
- 17:57Speaker 4: one in college football. Need to get caught up on
- 17:59Speaker 4: all my reading and get the eye test and do
- 18:01Speaker 4: as much as I can. So this week, I'm really
- 18:03Speaker 4: not going to have my football loaded to Thursday or Friday.
- 18:07Speaker 4: But I do want to re-mention, we have the football...
- 18:11Speaker 4: weekend fest going on right now. You can sign up.
- 18:15Speaker 4: Let's say Prez has a 5% loaded already. You can
- 18:18Speaker 4: get Prez's College Football for Saturday and NFL Sunday for
- 18:22Speaker 4: just $ 49. Lock it in at the beginning of the week.
- 18:26Speaker 4: And as soon as AnyCapper loads those plays, You'll get
- 18:30Speaker 4: those plays immediately. So if you know you are going
- 18:33Speaker 4: to want to be on a capper, do not wait
- 18:35Speaker 4: to game day where you may not be getting the
- 18:37Speaker 4: best line. Make sure you take advantage of the $ 49
- 18:40Speaker 4: Football Weekend Warrior. Lock in your favorite capper and get
- 18:44Speaker 4: every football play they release instantly as soon as they
- 18:49Speaker 4: upload it in the back end.
- 18:51Speaker 2: Brilliant stuff. Well, Michaels, everybody, what a privilege to have
- 18:54Speaker 2: you on with us. Thanks, guys.
- 18:56Speaker 1: Have a great weekend. You too.
- 18:58Speaker 2: Thank you, my brother. You can see Ralph on Wager
- 19:00Speaker 2: Talk today. Guys, lots of shows still to go. We
- 19:03Speaker 2: got to do our Predictive Market segment. We're not doing
- 19:06Speaker 2: CFB Week 2. We're doing NFL Sides. And I'm going
- 19:11Speaker 2: to force Art into a discussion on air about the
- 19:15Speaker 2: Dallas-New York Giants game. We also got our MLB rundown,
- 19:19Speaker 2: a little mailbag section coming your way. Before we get
- 19:23Speaker 2: into any of that, Joe, I and Art have to
- 19:25Speaker 2: do some business, but I want to tell you guys,
- 19:27Speaker 2: I put up a video yesterday. It's 22 minutes long.
- 19:30Speaker 2: It's called the NFL presidential address. This video is me
- 19:35Speaker 2: going through every single game on the board. And I mean, everyone,
- 19:38Speaker 2: we started the new England game. We end on the
- 19:40Speaker 2: Monday night game. I give you sides and totals all
- 19:43Speaker 2: the way through. It's super quick. We already have over 10,000
- 19:47Speaker 2: views on this video and guys, it would mean the
- 19:51Speaker 2: world to me if we could get over 20,000. So
- 19:54Speaker 2: if any of you can take a minute out of
- 19:56Speaker 2: your time, head over to wagertalk.com and just pull that
- 19:59Speaker 2: video up. Let it run in the background. Go make
- 20:02Speaker 2: love to your wife. Ground your children. Play poker. Watch TV.
- 20:07Speaker 2: Enjoy the game tonight. Go to the gym. I don't care.
- 20:11Speaker 2: Just leave the video running in the background, please. It's
- 20:14Speaker 2: the NFL presidential address, and it would mean the world
- 20:17Speaker 2: to me. On top of all of that, it's goddamn awesome.
- 20:21Speaker 2: And I think you'll enjoy it. Joe Art, let's start
- 20:26Speaker 2: with you, Joe. What do you got to promote, bro?
- 20:28Speaker 5: Locked and loaded. 4% NFL is up, ready to go.
- 20:33Speaker 5: College bets will be up later this afternoon. And one
- 20:37Speaker 5: major league baseball coming your way here tonight.
- 20:40Speaker 1: Beautiful. Art, yourself?
- 20:43Speaker 3: Yeah, got a baseball player already loaded up for today,
- 20:46Speaker 3: so go check that out. And I'm like Ralph, I'll
- 20:48Speaker 3: probably have my NFL and college up tomorrow or Friday,
- 20:51Speaker 3: still going over some things. But definitely we'll have plenty
- 20:54Speaker 3: going on, especially for week one NFL. Go check the
- 20:57Speaker 3: page out.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Excellent.
- 20:59Speaker 2: And I got a total bet up a Thursday night's game.
- 21:03Speaker 2: Keep in mind, my totals are insane. I mean, Bitcoin called.
- 21:09Speaker 2: They want to buy my totals. That's how good my
- 21:12Speaker 2: totals are. I mean, Art, in all seriousness, I'm 66%.
- 21:19Speaker 2: This entire calendar year, January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August,
- 21:24Speaker 2: we're in September. 65 plus percent. And it's not like
- 21:30Speaker 2: I've had three, dude. I've had like 100. So, yeah.
- 21:36Speaker 2: I also have a teaser, a 4% teaser up for
- 21:41Speaker 2: Sunday in the NFL. And anyone who's ever bought my
- 21:43Speaker 2: NFL card, just to give you perspective, when you buy
- 21:46Speaker 2: my NFL card for Sunday, you are going to get
- 21:51Speaker 2: thoughts on every single game. You're going to get all
- 21:55Speaker 2: my contest picks. You're going to get my survivor picks.
- 21:58Speaker 2: You're going to get my totals, my sides, my teasers,
- 22:00Speaker 2: my parlays, my money line bets. This is a full
- 22:04Speaker 2: card that you get when you buy my NFL. So
- 22:08Speaker 2: please take advantage of that.
- 22:09Speaker 1: Okay.
- 22:10Speaker 2: Predictive markets. Joe, you want to start at Bitcoin? It's 78.7
- 22:15Speaker 2: right now. I'm passing, dude. I hate to tell you this,
- 22:22Speaker 2: but I think we're just going to have to sit
- 22:24Speaker 2: and watch for a bit.
- 22:26Speaker 5: But it's kind of held steady here, Prez, right? I mean,
- 22:29Speaker 5: not a whole lot going on here over the last
- 22:31Speaker 5: couple of weeks. So it seems to be right around
- 22:34Speaker 5: this time compared to 5 p.m.
- 22:36Speaker 1: Holding steady. So not a lot of movement whatsoever. So
- 22:40Speaker 1: I'm with you.
- 22:41Speaker 5: I think it's either there's going to be a big
- 22:42Speaker 5: move down or maybe we're going to get to that
- 22:46Speaker 5: 80K number again, at which point we have to figure
- 22:48Speaker 5: out whether we want to ride that momentum either way, really,
- 22:51Speaker 5: at this point.
- 22:54Speaker 2: Yeah, sorry.
- 22:55Speaker 1: Sorry.
- 22:56Speaker 2: I got busy. Hex, you know. Anyway. Bugger off, Art.
- 23:03Speaker 2: Bugger off, dude.
- 23:04Speaker 1: Come on. Okay. What else, Art?
- 23:08Speaker 2: What else do you want to talk about?
- 23:11Speaker 3: Oh, in the predictives?
- 23:13Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 23:14Speaker 3: Joe, how has the Make the College Football Playoff changed?
- 23:18Speaker 5: Yeah, got that to you here right now. It's a lot.
- 23:23Speaker 2: The.
- 23:24Speaker 5: Michigan is just completely falling off a cliff here, which
- 23:29Speaker 5: is kind of hilarious when you think about it. And
- 23:33Speaker 5: I do believe they are nowhere even be found here.
- 23:36Speaker 5: Nobody's nobody. They were at two cents yesterday. And I
- 23:39Speaker 5: think people have decided against it. The fate is on
- 23:42Speaker 5: for Michigan folks across the board here. So is what
- 23:46Speaker 5: you saw real is what you saw maybe eye opening
- 23:50Speaker 5: or is this program? And it's not like they didn't
- 23:53Speaker 5: weren't embroiled in controversy for the last couple of years. Like,
- 23:57Speaker 5: so I don't, maybe it's just all starting to come
- 24:00Speaker 5: to a head. Maybe a fade across the board of
- 24:03Speaker 5: Michigan is not a bad way to go.
- 24:05Speaker 1: Yeah. Or they're going to be the greatest value in
- 24:08Speaker 1: the world, one or the other.
- 24:09Speaker 2: Yeah. So we've seen this play out, Art. I mean,
- 24:13Speaker 2: this story is standard procedure. Everyone is saying fade Michigan.
- 24:18Speaker 2: I said yesterday that I like to fade Michigan. I
- 24:21Speaker 2: am now changing my thoughts on that. You want to
- 24:25Speaker 2: be a professional bettor? You want to make money doing this?
- 24:29Speaker 2: You need to be counterintuitive. You want to stick with
- 24:32Speaker 2: the market all the time? You're going to get killed.
- 24:35Speaker 2: You want to overreact? You're going to get killed. If
- 24:38Speaker 2: everybody is telling us that Michigan is a fade, Michigan
- 24:42Speaker 2: is not a fade. Art?
- 24:45Speaker 1: Well, yeah.
- 24:46Speaker 3: I mean, if you're going to play this game, you
- 24:48Speaker 3: probably have to play Michigan. You can't lay it with
- 24:51Speaker 3: Oklahoma now. It's clearly an inflated price.
- 24:54Speaker 2: I mean.
- 24:56Speaker 3: I wouldn't play Michigan personally. I would look for something
- 24:59Speaker 3: else to play on a card, but to get back
- 25:01Speaker 3: to what you said, if you put a gun to
- 25:03Speaker 3: my head, I think I would take the points with Michigan.
- 25:05Speaker 1: Let me give you an idea. Okay.
- 25:07Speaker 5: Here are teams with better prices to make the college
- 25:10Speaker 5: football playoff than Michigan.
- 25:12Speaker 1: You ready?
- 25:12Speaker 5: Houston, Virginia, Kansas State, South Carolina, Missouri.
- 25:17Speaker 1: Iowa, Auburn, Pittsburgh, Washington, Louisville.
- 25:22Speaker 2: Can you give me a no on the whole lot
- 25:24Speaker 2: of them?
- 25:24Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm just, that's how bad it has gotten for
- 25:28Speaker 5: Michigan here at this point.
- 25:30Speaker 1: Unreal.
- 25:31Speaker 2: Yeah. But honestly, it's going to be interesting to see
- 25:35Speaker 2: because You know, we're going to be talking on Tuesday.
- 25:39Speaker 2: This is how Tuesday is going to go down. Oh,
- 25:41Speaker 2: my God. We were so excited about the New Orleans Saints.
- 25:44Speaker 2: They got annihilated 41 to 3. What do we do now?
- 25:48Speaker 2: Are we fading New Orleans? You know, oh, my God.
- 25:51Speaker 2: Pittsburgh Steelers. We thought they were going to be just mediocre.
- 25:54Speaker 2: They beat Atlanta 60 to 2. A crazy safety at
- 25:58Speaker 2: the beginning of the game. Are we anointing the Steelers
- 26:02Speaker 2: the world champs?
- 26:04Speaker 1: Guys.
- 26:05Speaker 2: Relax. Everybody breathe. Okay. We need a joint.
- 26:13Speaker 1: Let's have a joint. Give me a smoke, Joe. If
- 26:17Speaker 1: Alex can find it on the screen, he'll be good
- 26:18Speaker 1: to go there. Okay. Oh, there it is. There it is.
- 26:22Speaker 1: Hit number one, Alex. Hit number one. We have a
- 26:24Speaker 1: producer now, guys.
- 26:25Speaker 2: We have a producer now.
- 26:27Speaker 1: There we go. Boom. Okay. Well done.
- 26:32Speaker 2: I feel better now. I feel better. Okay. Okay, Joe, curious.
- 26:40Speaker 2: NFC East, I'm curious what the predictives are on that.
- 26:44Speaker 2: That is such an interesting division to me. And we
- 26:46Speaker 2: had a couple of people make comments yesterday about Washington
- 26:51Speaker 2: is horrible. That's what they said. Is Washington horrible? This
- 26:55Speaker 2: is a team that made the playoffs two years ago.
- 26:58Speaker 2: Jaden Daniels played outstanding. They are loaded with talent. It's
- 27:02Speaker 2: not like they don't have talent. They got edge rushers.
- 27:05Speaker 2: They have a motivational coach. I mean, are you really like,
- 27:10Speaker 2: are you just anointing Washington fourth in the division or
- 27:14Speaker 2: third in the division?
- 27:16Speaker 1: I don't know, man.
- 27:17Speaker 2: I think this division is more interesting than most people think.
- 27:20Speaker 2: And I think Washington is a team we should look
- 27:23Speaker 2: on not to fade.
- 27:26Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 27:26Speaker 5: Are they your side here this week in the NFL
- 27:30Speaker 5: week one?
- 27:30Speaker 1: No. Are you that confident in them? No. No, they're not. Okay.
- 27:36Speaker 2: No, I'm not going to bet that game at all, actually.
- 27:39Speaker 2: That game is a total pass. But I just, I just,
- 27:42Speaker 2: I'm curious, like where, how, you know, is Philadelphia running
- 27:46Speaker 2: away with this division? I don't think so.
- 27:48Speaker 1: I think Dallas wins the division. Yeah, I think Dallas
- 27:52Speaker 1: wins the division. Absolutely.
- 27:54Speaker 5: Can't trust, uh, Well, I mean, listen, every time we
- 27:57Speaker 5: say that with Philadelphia, it's not like the defense is
- 27:59Speaker 5: going to get worse. They're still going to be good,
- 28:00Speaker 5: but you got to score points to win. And the
- 28:03Speaker 5: biggest problem with Philadelphia is that offense goes real stale
- 28:06Speaker 5: real quick.
- 28:07Speaker 1: What do we got a.
- 28:08Speaker 5: Third art fourth offensive coordinator now this year for Philadelphia?
- 28:13Speaker 1: No, AJ Brown anymore. I don't know.
- 28:17Speaker 2: I think this is the, I don't think Jalen hurts
- 28:20Speaker 2: has had an O an offensive coordinator twice.
- 28:23Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 28:24Speaker 2: It's crazy in his whole career.
- 28:27Speaker 5: And he's been to the Super Bowl twice.
- 28:30Speaker 2: And he's a very cerebral quarterback. He just lacks the
- 28:35Speaker 2: ability to be a quarterback. You know, I agree with you, Joe.
- 28:39Speaker 2: I think Dallas wins. So let's go right into NFL
- 28:43Speaker 2: week one and let's have a talk about this Dallas
- 28:45Speaker 2: team before we give out our favorite picks each. So
- 28:49Speaker 2: Art likes the New York Giants and I like Dallas.
- 28:52Speaker 2: And Art, I want to hear from you why you
- 28:55Speaker 2: like the New York Giants. Is it the coach? Is
- 28:57Speaker 2: it Jackson Dart? Is it that loaded wide receiver core?
- 29:01Speaker 2: Perhaps it's the incredible running back. What is it? in
- 29:06Speaker 2: New York that suggests that they are going to be
- 29:08Speaker 2: much better or even a little bit better than they
- 29:11Speaker 2: were over the last X number of years.
- 29:15Speaker 3: Well, I think Ralph just stamped it with all his
- 29:16Speaker 3: TNA on week one divisional home dog. So, you know,
- 29:20Speaker 3: I was kind of leaning towards the giants anyway, and
- 29:22Speaker 3: it's just a play on a number. I mean, if
- 29:24Speaker 3: it's Dallas minus two and a half, I'm not playing
- 29:27Speaker 3: the giants, but if you're telling me I'm getting three
- 29:30Speaker 3: with a divisional home dog, that's what I look. I
- 29:32Speaker 3: look to bet the number. I like those trends and
- 29:34Speaker 3: angles from Ralph. Obviously, they're going to be way more disciplined,
- 29:38Speaker 3: and you know they got the adult in the room
- 29:40Speaker 3: now with harbaugh so you know i i will say
- 29:44Speaker 3: this is a giant fan dallas has owned us here
- 29:47Speaker 3: over the last you know half a decade or whatever
- 29:49Speaker 3: the case may be they've been really good against the
- 29:51Speaker 3: giants but i just like the spot and i like
- 29:53Speaker 3: getting three points.
- 29:55Speaker 2: Joe, and again, we're going to go into our NFL
- 29:57Speaker 2: week one sides. But Joe, you know, my take on
- 30:00Speaker 2: this Dallas game is really straightforward. I don't think firstly,
- 30:03Speaker 2: I think Harbaugh is overrated. Now, please keep in mind,
- 30:06Speaker 2: I think Elvis Presley is overrated. So you have to
- 30:09Speaker 2: be great to be overrated. The baseline is John Harbaugh
- 30:13Speaker 2: is great, but he is an overrated coach. He's in
- 30:16Speaker 2: his first year. And I just think this team lacks weapons.
- 30:19Speaker 2: I do believe in their defense, but I can't. Can't
- 30:23Speaker 2: buy their offense. I just can't see it. I think
- 30:26Speaker 2: they're going to be a bottom 10 offense. And I
- 30:28Speaker 2: think Dallas has all the potential in the world to
- 30:31Speaker 2: average somewhere around 33 points a game. I know.
- 30:34Speaker 1: Crazy.
- 30:34Speaker 2: I think Dallas and Cincinnati are going to be the
- 30:36Speaker 2: two highest scoring teams in the league. The Rams, Dallas, Cincinnati.
- 30:40Speaker 2: I think the Giants are going to struggle to keep up.
- 30:43Speaker 2: No matter how good their defense is, Dallas is scoring
- 30:45Speaker 2: on everybody. And I just don't buy it. the New
- 30:49Speaker 2: York giants offense. I think this game could get away
- 30:52Speaker 2: from the giants very quickly. I like Dallas. I like
- 30:56Speaker 2: them at two and a half or three. What do
- 30:58Speaker 2: you think Joe?
- 31:00Speaker 5: Well, to Art's point, just to give you the numbers,
- 31:03Speaker 5: Dak Prescott is 14-3 straight up against the Giants in
- 31:06Speaker 5: his career.
- 31:07Speaker 1: But it's not just the Giants.
- 31:09Speaker 5: Dak Prescott has dominated the whole NFC East in an
- 31:13Speaker 5: epic way here. But maybe even more importantly is that
- 31:18Speaker 5: Dak Prescott, 33-13-1 against the number in the first half
- 31:24Speaker 5: against Divisional Games.
- 31:25Speaker 1: Oh, nice. 33-13-1 against the spread.
- 31:29Speaker 5: So it's the third best mark, I think, of 60
- 31:32Speaker 5: quarterbacks with at least 10 games since 2016. And I'll
- 31:37Speaker 5: give you another one. Doesn't have to do with the spread,
- 31:39Speaker 5: but I couldn't believe this either. Brian Schottenheimer, as a
- 31:42Speaker 5: head coach... is 16-1 to the first half over in
- 31:48Speaker 5: his career since 2025. As this head coach, 16-1 to
- 31:54Speaker 5: the first half over, which tells me he's a great scripter.
- 31:59Speaker 1: The scripted part of the game, he comes out.
- 32:01Speaker 5: The problem he has, obviously, is with the adjustments in
- 32:04Speaker 5: the second half. But the first half of the game,
- 32:07Speaker 5: that offense is flying high. And, you know, be very
- 32:11Speaker 5: hard-pressed for me not to look at Dallas early in
- 32:13Speaker 5: this game.
- 32:15Speaker 2: That's yeah. Those are art. Those are great.
- 32:18Speaker 4: Fine.
- 32:19Speaker 1: Excellent.
- 32:19Speaker 2: I mean, first half over.
- 32:21Speaker 3: Oh my God.
- 32:22Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 32:23Speaker 2: But it's, it feels to me, Joe. And you know,
- 32:25Speaker 2: I used to do this a lot with Peyton Manning
- 32:27Speaker 2: when Marvin Harrison and, and Edrin and all that were
- 32:30Speaker 2: playing for Indianapolis. I used to take every week, the
- 32:34Speaker 2: Colts and the over and, I almost never went 0-2.
- 32:39Speaker 2: It was one of those bets where you were like
- 32:41Speaker 2: 1-1 or 2-0. Can we take advantage of that here
- 32:46Speaker 2: on this Dallas-New York Giants game? Take Dallas and the
- 32:49Speaker 2: over in the first half. Can you see an 0-2?
- 32:55Speaker 5: To me, I would only look over and I would
- 32:57Speaker 5: only look at Dak Prescott covering the first half. I
- 33:00Speaker 5: don't know if the first half line is different than
- 33:02Speaker 5: the full game.
- 33:03Speaker 1: It's probably close.
- 33:05Speaker 2: Yeah, it will be close.
- 33:06Speaker 1: I'll money line it. I don't care. I'm good to go.
- 33:10Speaker 2: I really like that. That is good stuff. guys this
- 33:13Speaker 2: is the best betting show ever and it's like that
- 33:15Speaker 2: for a reason let's get into uh we need to
- 33:19Speaker 2: move the the the we need.
- 33:21Speaker 1: I'm sorry okay yeah let's go let's go all.
- 33:24Speaker 2: Right sorry even though it says cfb week two yeah
- 33:27Speaker 2: it really means to say nfl side bets for week
- 33:32Speaker 2: one how about how about i start.
- 33:35Speaker 1: I thought we just did that. Didn't we just give
- 33:37Speaker 1: out a side bet?
- 33:38Speaker 2: Yeah, no, we just did a deep dive into Dallas
- 33:40Speaker 2: and the New York Giants.
- 33:41Speaker 5: Because I don't see that on the board either, Prez.
- 33:43Speaker 5: I'm just curious because there is, yeah, it's supposed to
- 33:45Speaker 5: be NFL sides. I think we just gave out a side.
- 33:48Speaker 2: Do you want to jump in, Art?
- 33:49Speaker 1: Do you want to jump in? I'm just saying. Did
- 33:51Speaker 1: he just not say it's NFL sides? Have a smoke.
- 33:54Speaker 1: And we gave a side. No, I don't want you
- 33:56Speaker 1: to smoke. Calm down.
- 33:58Speaker 2: Jesus Christ, Joe.
- 34:02Speaker 1: Okay. Give us a side. Come on. Okay.
- 34:05Speaker 2: Jaguars minus eight and a half minus nine, minus nine
- 34:08Speaker 2: and a half. I think the Jags get it done.
- 34:11Speaker 2: And I'm going to tell you guys something. The Jaguars
- 34:14Speaker 2: won their games last year by an average of 14.2.
- 34:19Speaker 2: This team was the blowout team. They, they ended the year.
- 34:25Speaker 2: They beat the bucks 19, nothing. You know, they beat
- 34:28Speaker 2: the Titans 41, seven. They beat the Broncos by 14.
- 34:32Speaker 2: They beat the Chargers by 10.
- 34:35Speaker 3: 35-6.
- 34:36Speaker 2: They beat the other Titans again, 25-3. This is a
- 34:41Speaker 2: team that when they won, they won big. Now they're
- 34:45Speaker 2: playing a Cleveland Browns team that is so horrible. I mean,
- 34:50Speaker 2: it's historically horrible. Between Cleveland, Miami, and Arizona, I think
- 34:56Speaker 2: you can pick against those three and win Survivor. So
- 35:01Speaker 2: I think the Jags are going to blow Cleveland out.
- 35:05Speaker 2: That is my side play art.
- 35:09Speaker 3: I think the Colts are a little undervalued. I think
- 35:11Speaker 3: the Ravens are a little overvalued and it's early, it's
- 35:14Speaker 3: early in the year and it could be a wait
- 35:16Speaker 3: and see approach with Baltimore and they can end up
- 35:19Speaker 3: 13 and four, but they got to go on the
- 35:21Speaker 3: road week one, new coach, new system, you know, kind
- 35:24Speaker 3: of breaking in, Hey, we're going to be a really
- 35:26Speaker 3: good team. And I don't think people realize the Colts
- 35:28Speaker 3: before all their injuries were a pretty good team. So
- 35:31Speaker 3: I'm getting three and a half at home with the Colts.
- 35:33Speaker 3: So I love that. Once again, it's about playing the number.
- 35:36Speaker 3: So you're going to give me three in the hook.
- 35:38Speaker 3: I think the Colts have a really good chance to
- 35:39Speaker 3: win the game. At worst case, they would lose by
- 35:42Speaker 3: three and we win. So give me the Colts plus
- 35:45Speaker 3: three and a half.
- 35:47Speaker 2: Joe?
- 35:50Speaker 1: Pretty sure I gave out Dallas in the first half.
- 35:52Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure that was a side.
- 35:54Speaker 2: That was another segment.
- 35:56Speaker 1: Because I wasn't planning on talking. That was going to
- 35:58Speaker 1: be my side.
- 35:59Speaker 2: Okay, there it is.
- 36:00Speaker 1: I'll tell you right now.
- 36:03Speaker 2: I love all three. Parlay them, guys.
- 36:06Speaker 1: There you go.
- 36:07Speaker 2: I love your pick, Art. I totally agree with you
- 36:12Speaker 2: on the Colts. I got a feeling they will be
- 36:15Speaker 2: in our pick five for the circuit contest. That is
- 36:19Speaker 2: for sure. Okay, boys. So our MLB rundown, and then
- 36:23Speaker 2: we're going to do a mailbag section. Joe and Art,
- 36:26Speaker 2: handle it.
- 36:28Speaker 1: Oh, we got to handle this now here, Art.
- 36:30Speaker 2: All right.
- 36:31Speaker 5: Well, we got some day games, obviously, here today. So
- 36:36Speaker 5: we'll skip down to some of the later games here.
- 36:39Speaker 5: And we'll go with the Cardinals and the Giants here.
- 36:42Speaker 5: Palante versus Tidwell. I have eight and a half. It's
- 36:48Speaker 5: an afternoon game at Oracle. That tends to usually be
- 36:51Speaker 5: a little bit higher scoring. I think runs are coming here, Art.
- 36:55Speaker 1: What do you think? Yeah, I could see it.
- 36:58Speaker 3: You know, the Cardinals who are, you know, on life
- 37:01Speaker 3: support for this playoff last spot, which they're not going
- 37:04Speaker 3: to make it, but they're still trying to fight. They
- 37:06Speaker 3: have been awful here. I actually like the Giants.
- 37:08Speaker 5: Well, you got the rookie phenom for Seattle Anderson going,
- 37:13Speaker 5: who has yet to win a game. But take it
- 37:16Speaker 5: on the Rangers here tonight. And Bradford, eight is the
- 37:19Speaker 5: number once again here, Art, in this one.
- 37:23Speaker 3: Yeah, I mentioned in the sharp spot that they're on
- 37:26Speaker 3: the Rangers. I've said this for weeks. Seattle's a rat.
- 37:30Speaker 1: And they are.
- 37:31Speaker 3: So you get the plus money with Texas. That's why
- 37:33Speaker 3: the Sharps were on them.
- 37:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 37:35Speaker 1: Padres at the Nats here. Padres. I mean, Nats, I think,
- 37:40Speaker 1: set a record last night. Another blown save.
- 37:42Speaker 5: And the Padres now with Walker Bueller on the mound
- 37:46Speaker 5: against Kent.
- 37:46Speaker 1: What do we think here, Art?
- 37:49Speaker 3: You usually like to fade Bueller. Washington's usually good on
- 37:52Speaker 3: the road. They blew their 38th save last night, which
- 37:56Speaker 3: you mentioned, Joe, is a record. That was a huge
- 37:58Speaker 3: win for the Padres because Arizona won. I can't lay $ 2, though,
- 38:01Speaker 3: with San Diego.
- 38:02Speaker 5: That's who I was on the Royals. And Corbin Burns
- 38:06Speaker 5: goes three innings. And please don't even get me started there.
- 38:10Speaker 5: All right, so you got Foster Griffin for the Guardians
- 38:12Speaker 5: going up against Shane Boz. Guardians not a bad price
- 38:15Speaker 5: here in this spot on the road.
- 38:18Speaker 3: No, short price. So, I mean, if you're going to
- 38:20Speaker 3: look to play a team, maybe you look to play
- 38:23Speaker 3: the Guardians with the better pitcher.
- 38:25Speaker 1: I don't know what to do with the Marlins.
- 38:27Speaker 5: If you can't win Sandy Alcantara's starts, I don't know
- 38:29Speaker 5: what's going on there.
- 38:30Speaker 1: So stock against junk.
- 38:36Speaker 3: Listen, I thought the Marlins were going to win yesterday,
- 38:38Speaker 3: and they were awful. They were down 6-0 after, I think,
- 38:41Speaker 3: two innings. I don't know where this Met team came from.
- 38:45Speaker 3: The Marlins are a fade now. They are fading quick.
- 38:49Speaker 5: Johnson against Bennett, Angels against Red Sox in this one.
- 38:53Speaker 5: Here are another $ 2 favorite here on the board for
- 38:57Speaker 5: the Red Sox.
- 38:58Speaker 1: Don't know that I can get there with them on
- 39:00Speaker 1: this one. What are you thinking?
- 39:03Speaker 3: Yeah, I wouldn't want to lay $ 2 with the Red Sox,
- 39:06Speaker 3: but they are coming off a loss. It's probably a
- 39:08Speaker 3: good bounce back spot. Maybe you look to bet them
- 39:11Speaker 3: in another way, maybe even an in-game if they go
- 39:13Speaker 3: down early.
- 39:14Speaker 5: Tried saying don't fade Detmers, but that didn't work out there.
- 39:17Speaker 5: Yankees and Rockies return a judge, goes hitless. Warren against Sergato,
- 39:22Speaker 5: but the Yankees won last night. Now they're 250 favorites
- 39:25Speaker 5: with Will Warren on the mound.
- 39:26Speaker 1: Good Lord.
- 39:28Speaker 3: Hard to lay 250. lay 250 with Will Warren, but listen,
- 39:32Speaker 3: the Yankees will be the most popular Moneyline parlay leg today,
- 39:35Speaker 3: so folks will need Colorado.
- 39:38Speaker 1: Griffin Jacks versus Lopez.
- 39:39Speaker 5: Another battle between the Rays and the Braves in this
- 39:43Speaker 5: one here.
- 39:43Speaker 1: Art, which way might you be leaning here tonight?
- 39:48Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, Ray is what was 7-1 last night.
- 39:50Speaker 3: They had a real nice blow out there. You know,
- 39:53Speaker 3: Atlanta is one of the best home records in the league.
- 39:54Speaker 3: I think they're like 48-25 at home. So maybe a
- 39:58Speaker 3: good bounce back spot for Atlanta.
- 39:59Speaker 1: Oh, good Lord.
- 40:01Speaker 5: Dimebacks Royals. Zach Gallin is back for the dime. If
- 40:04Speaker 5: you can't win this one, Royals, I don't know what
- 40:06Speaker 5: to tell you here.
- 40:07Speaker 1: But give me the over, Art. Yeah, I'm with you.
- 40:10Speaker 3: This would be Royals or pass for me, even though, listen,
- 40:13Speaker 3: Arizona has been real spunky here, and they're holding on,
- 40:16Speaker 3: I believe, by half a game to that last wild
- 40:18Speaker 3: card spot.
- 40:19Speaker 5: Listen, there's no reason the Cubs should be getting this
- 40:22Speaker 5: kind of price against Logan Henderson. They got Gausman on
- 40:25Speaker 5: the mound. He's been great. They almost got it done
- 40:28Speaker 5: against Miz last night.
- 40:29Speaker 1: What do you think, Gerard?
- 40:31Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm with you. You said Cubs, and especially at
- 40:33Speaker 3: a plus price, they're basically two even teams.
- 40:35Speaker 5: White Sox and the Pirates. Davis Martin, who's getting lit
- 40:39Speaker 5: up here for the White Sox. Small price, though, for
- 40:43Speaker 5: them at home. Are you buying it since the Pirates
- 40:46Speaker 5: won 9-3 last night?
- 40:48Speaker 3: I am buying it, and it's starting to get a
- 40:50Speaker 3: little tricky there in that division. You know, the Guardians
- 40:52Speaker 3: are climbing up here on the White Sox with about 15,
- 40:55Speaker 3: 17 games left.
- 40:56Speaker 1: Yeah, you got to love it.
- 40:58Speaker 5: Dodgers barely win as a 350 favorite with Scooble on.
- 41:01Speaker 1: The mound last night. Well, now they got Yamamoto on
- 41:04Speaker 1: the mound, and guess what? Another $ 3 favorite. Not my money.
- 41:07Speaker 1: I'll take the run and a half, Art.
- 41:10Speaker 3: I'm with you, and we talked about this yesterday where
- 41:12Speaker 3: it was going to be Dodgers and Yankees parlayed. They're
- 41:15Speaker 3: going to do it again today.
- 41:16Speaker 1: I agree.
- 41:17Speaker 5: There you go, Prez. Your Major League Baseball rundown. Unless
- 41:20Speaker 5: you want to throw more NFL sides down.
- 41:21Speaker 1: I don't know what you want to do there.
- 41:23Speaker 2: Oh, shut up, Joe.
- 41:24Speaker 1: Just saying.
- 41:25Speaker 2: Fun show, guys. We try to keep these shows to
- 41:27Speaker 2: around 30 minutes.
- 41:28Speaker 1: We failed today.
- 41:29Speaker 2: Yeah, good luck. We did have, well, hey, listen. No,
- 41:34Speaker 2: we're not on time.
- 41:34Speaker 1: You got another side? Do you have another side? Oh, no? Okay,
- 41:37Speaker 1: we're good.
- 41:38Speaker 2: You want another side?
- 41:39Speaker 1: No, no, no. Let's talk 20 minutes about your aces.
- 41:42Speaker 5: Let's talk about that because, sure, we already haven't lost
- 41:45Speaker 5: everybody watching already.
- 41:47Speaker 1: Oh, boy.
- 41:49Speaker 2: Well, that doesn't sound like I should talk about my aces.
- 41:51Speaker 2: Let's just end the damn show then. I don't really care. Like,
- 41:55Speaker 2: honest to God. What do I care?
- 41:58Speaker 1: I can't.
- 42:00Speaker 3: Open up that mailbag, Prez.
- 42:01Speaker 1: Come on. Come on. You got one mailbag. One. Okay.
- 42:05Speaker 2: We had a lot of great comments yesterday, so I
- 42:07Speaker 2: do appreciate you guys all. Thomas Fennell gave an up-to-date
- 42:11Speaker 2: on Art's record, 59 and 42. That's great stuff, Art.
- 42:18Speaker 2: You're also, the totals are seven and one. Yeah. Good work.
- 42:23Speaker 2: Art DeCesar, guys. Go check him out. Heinz, Michigan had
- 42:27Speaker 2: the ball less than 20 minutes last week. Nine penalties,
- 42:30Speaker 2: three conversions. We got Logan. Great day. Best betting show ever.
- 42:35Speaker 2: A lot of great work. Dimash had SMU minus two
- 42:39Speaker 2: and a half. Well done. Nice line. Good job. The
- 42:43Speaker 2: Genie Lover is a big Sooner fan. He thinks the
- 42:47Speaker 2: Sooners are going to annihilate Michigan. He also thinks they
- 42:50Speaker 2: have a chance at the Natty. And what I wanted
- 42:53Speaker 2: to talk about is the aces. And really quick, Joe
- 42:56Speaker 2: and Art, I know you don't care about this. You
- 42:58Speaker 2: can put up with nobody cares, whatever. The bottom line, guys,
- 43:02Speaker 2: is there is a time. There you go. I'll talk
- 43:05Speaker 2: and Art can just laugh in the background. It's beautiful. Guys,
- 43:09Speaker 2: there's definitely a time to slow play aces. I understand that.
- 43:12Speaker 2: I'll give you examples of when the time is. If
- 43:15Speaker 2: you have a chip stack 10 to 1 on your opponent,
- 43:19Speaker 2: slow play aces. Try to get all his money. If
- 43:22Speaker 2: you miss out, so be it. You lose 10% of
- 43:24Speaker 2: your stack if he hits. If you're very short, say
- 43:27Speaker 2: 12 big blinds, eight big blinds, I would not raise
- 43:31Speaker 2: with aces. I would risk it, take the chance, slow
- 43:34Speaker 2: play it, try to double up. But if you have
- 43:36Speaker 2: the exact same amount of money as your opponent, and
- 43:40Speaker 2: you are second to bet, and you have aces, you
- 43:43Speaker 2: have to raise. Because if you don't raise, you are
- 43:47Speaker 2: putting yourself in two problems. One, you really don't know
- 43:52Speaker 2: what your opponent has. And two, He could hit an
- 43:56Speaker 2: underpair set and you could lose, or he could hit
- 44:00Speaker 2: a flush, or he could hit a straight and you
- 44:02Speaker 2: could lose. You have to figure out where your opponent is.
- 44:07Speaker 2: So if your opponent bets first and you have aces
- 44:10Speaker 2: and you don't raise, how do you know what range
- 44:15Speaker 2: your opponent has? He could have fours or sevens or threes.
- 44:18Speaker 2: If you raise, fours fold, threes fold, sevens fold. So
- 44:23Speaker 2: the concept is, Now, with that said, obviously you want
- 44:27Speaker 2: low pairs to stay in. But man, if you're deep
- 44:30Speaker 2: in the money and there's enough already in the pot,
- 44:34Speaker 2: don't risk going for it all. Get your 30%. If
- 44:38Speaker 2: you start the pot with $ 100, 000 and you 100,000 in
- 44:42Speaker 2: chips and you can win 30,000, take it. Don't get
- 44:46Speaker 2: greedy with aces because ultimately aces send a lot of
- 44:51Speaker 2: people home. Okay.
- 44:55Speaker 1: Yes, yes.
- 44:57Speaker 2: We love that girl, Joe. I don't like her outfit, though.
- 45:02Speaker 2: What's up with the top five?
- 45:03Speaker 1: Still nobody. Oh, Joe.
- 45:06Speaker 2: We got some good comments.
- 45:07Speaker 1: Let's check in with Ralph.
- 45:09Speaker 2: All right, there we go.
- 45:11Speaker 1: Even Ralph enjoys your poker.
- 45:13Speaker 2: Okay.
- 45:15Speaker 1: Okay.
- 45:17Speaker 3: Joe, I will give prez this. There were a lot
- 45:19Speaker 3: of people who commented on the poker hand.
- 45:21Speaker 1: Yes.
- 45:23Speaker 3: I will give him credit on that.
- 45:24Speaker 1: Great. And they all left about the 18-minute mark. So
- 45:27Speaker 1: good stuff. Okay, here we go. You done, Joe?
- 45:30Speaker 5: I've been about 20 minutes ago.
- 45:32Speaker 1: Yep.
- 45:33Speaker 2: Okay. See you all tomorrow, everyone.
