- 0:27Speaker 1: the movie nobody.
- 0:28Speaker 2: No, I don't.
- 0:30Speaker 1: Know that one is the Matrix reloaded? It's the second one.
- 0:34Speaker 1: Uh were looking for? To whoever? And in a little
- 0:38Speaker 1: and the little kids like there is no.
- 0:39Speaker 2: Spoon when they're bending the spoons. Yeah, yeah, I don't
- 0:46Speaker 2: remember the quote, but I know what scene you're talking about.
- 0:49Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a good time.
- 0:51Speaker 2: A bunch of bald kids bending.
- 0:53Speaker 1: Ss you got it? But what's going on? Everybody? I'm
- 0:56Speaker 1: the one, the only wh okay I e back? Yeah
- 1:00Speaker 1: it In twenty twenty six, with the normal cast of
- 1:02Speaker 1: this sits, we have the kid that knows everything, mister
- 1:04Speaker 1: Cole Robbie.
- 1:06Speaker 2: Back at it like a crack addict.
- 1:09Speaker 1: We got the ridiculously good hair Felix. Oh didn't make it.
- 1:15Speaker 1: You weren't going to make it, almost did not make
- 1:19Speaker 1: it like tonight or in or like to twenty twenty six, yep.
- 1:25Speaker 3: To in twenty twenty six.
- 1:28Speaker 1: Oh got it? Okay, Wow? Why what happened.
- 1:33Speaker 3: Last track of time? Oh?
- 1:34Speaker 1: Yeah I did too. Don't feel bad. I totally did too.
- 1:38Speaker 3: And then we've uh, okay, good, there's everybody that got it.
- 1:42Speaker 1: We've got the kid who's going to uh to Philadelphia
- 1:46Speaker 1: in a couple of weeks, Dexter yep.
- 1:50Speaker 4: Hello, everyone going back to school and then immediately going
- 1:53Speaker 4: out of town.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Yeah, I heard you're going to Necho. Yep. Well that
- 2:00Speaker 1: should be fun. How was everybody's holiday season?
- 2:05Speaker 4: Pretty fun? We went skiing for five days. After the
- 2:09Speaker 4: fourth day, I was completely exhausted and my knees were broken.
- 2:13Speaker 4: But I had fun.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Your knees were broken.
- 2:16Speaker 3: These were broken.
- 2:19Speaker 4: I mean they just had gotten a lot of beatings
- 2:22Speaker 4: from falling and stress and almost getting dislocated a few times.
- 2:27Speaker 4: They were they were hurting, but I was fine. I
- 2:29Speaker 4: could walk something else skiing downhill skiing in Colorado?
- 2:35Speaker 1: And were you doing it right? Or like? What's I don't.
- 2:41Speaker 4: I was just doing a lot of runs through the trees,
- 2:45Speaker 4: and I hit a few trees and hit my knees
- 2:47Speaker 4: a few times. You hit a few trees, yster?
- 2:53Speaker 1: What do you? What are you doing? My boy?
- 2:55Speaker 4: So did all of my family members to be.
- 2:58Speaker 1: Hit to be isn't that how sunny? No died.
- 3:03Speaker 4: I don't know who that is.
- 3:04Speaker 1: Oh my god, oh my god.
- 3:07Speaker 2: It's okay. Nobody important.
- 3:11Speaker 1: You don't know who's Sonny and share are maybe no
- 3:13Speaker 1: share no, Okay. So the trend continues in the twenty
- 3:21Speaker 1: twenty six of Just Me making.
- 3:24Speaker 4: References person died before I was born?
- 3:26Speaker 1: They probably did. Yes, Actually they probably died.
- 3:31Speaker 4: Why would I know about them?
- 3:32Speaker 1: When were you born?
- 3:34Speaker 4: Two thousand and two thousand and six?
- 3:36Speaker 1: Oh god, yeah, he was dead well before you were born.
- 3:39Speaker 1: I think he did. I was in middle school and
- 3:41Speaker 1: he died. But we got talked about the time when
- 3:44Speaker 1: I went to college two thousand and six.
- 3:49Speaker 3: By that time, yeah, step I went to university.
- 3:52Speaker 1: I was a sophomore in college in two thousand and six. Yeah,
- 3:58Speaker 1: that's how old I am. Oh, I'm gonna go get
- 4:00Speaker 1: my walker. Hold on, guys. But anyways, we've got lots
- 4:03Speaker 1: to go over all turn his moving into twenty twenty six.
- 4:08Speaker 1: New partners, new tournaments, new prizes, new sets, new everything.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Yeah except for us, except for us, same old, same old,
- 4:19Speaker 1: sim shit podcasts that you guys keep coming back to.
- 4:23Speaker 1: We're not sure why.
- 4:24Speaker 4: I mean, we're very different than we were at the
- 4:26Speaker 4: beginning of last year.
- 4:29Speaker 1: True, how so.
- 4:33Speaker 4: We used to have a lot of other people.
- 4:36Speaker 1: This is true. There has been a lot of shaping
- 4:39Speaker 1: that has happened in the past year. Yeah, what was
- 4:42Speaker 1: funny is Z was actually in my neck of the
- 4:45Speaker 1: woods and didn't even yeah meet up with z. I
- 4:50Speaker 1: didn't meet up with z oh and didn't he.
- 4:55Speaker 4: In Sydney meet up, met up with z in play
- 4:57Speaker 4: and playm.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Didn't contact me? Fuckers. I work a lot. That's probably
- 5:07Speaker 1: why it against you now. I don't think he has
- 5:11Speaker 1: of a debt against me. It just I work a lot,
- 5:13Speaker 1: So I don't think Dan actually contact to me. And
- 5:17Speaker 1: you know, since since he doesn't play key Forge or
- 5:20Speaker 1: Altered anymore, like there's you know, why why would he
- 5:23Speaker 1: We don't play anything together. I don't think he knows
- 5:26Speaker 1: that I played.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Are they what are they even doing with their lives now?
- 5:31Speaker 2: Like a lot of board games, working a normal job
- 5:34Speaker 2: and like a lot more on the couch.
- 5:37Speaker 1: A lot of board games. But we got the twenty
- 5:42Speaker 1: twenty six. Well, what do you want to go through? First? Right?
- 5:47Speaker 1: Do you want to go through the twenty twenty six
- 5:50Speaker 1: like competitive circuit? First, there, mister, mister cole.
- 5:55Speaker 2: So I laid out some bullet points for you to
- 6:01Speaker 2: perfectly take you through what we're going to touch. One
- 6:06Speaker 2: first bullet point is the roadmap for next set. If
- 6:12Speaker 2: you did not see this announced, it was on the ninth,
- 6:17Speaker 2: so two days ago. So retail should start receiving their
- 6:21Speaker 2: orders of Seeds of Unity around February ninth, and then
- 6:26Speaker 2: backers will start receiving them on February sixteenth, and they're
- 6:31Speaker 2: considering the official release date February thirteenth. So another key
- 6:41Speaker 2: thing to know since a lot of us, especially in
- 6:43Speaker 2: the United States, now mainly just play online. It will
- 6:47Speaker 2: be available on BGA starting February thirteenth, So okay, And
- 6:58Speaker 2: if there's no qualms or questions about that, I'll just
- 7:06Speaker 2: lay out the next important dates and then we'll dive
- 7:09Speaker 2: into the competitive circuit because there's a lot of exciting
- 7:12Speaker 2: stuff in there.
- 7:13Speaker 1: Let's dive into the competitive circuit. I'm interested.
- 7:16Speaker 2: Sounds good, Yeah, to give you some key dates real quick.
- 7:22Speaker 2: January thirty first to February first will be the winter
- 7:25Speaker 2: season finals. We'll get a little more into that when
- 7:29Speaker 2: we dive into the details. On Sunday, February eighth, there
- 7:33Speaker 2: will be a Seeds of Unity demo deck tournament, and
- 7:37Speaker 2: the end of season four will be February twelfth. So
- 7:43Speaker 2: if you are wanting to get any of those organized
- 7:47Speaker 2: play rewards, that will be your last day to do it.
- 7:53Speaker 1: Okay, go ahead, that's for what.
- 8:02Speaker 2: That's where sky sky season, sky Sky season.
- 8:05Speaker 1: Let's say we're still in sky Sky season, right.
- 8:09Speaker 2: I So that'll end. That'll that'll end on the twelfth.
- 8:14Speaker 2: And the competitive circuit, there's a lot to go over.
- 8:20Speaker 2: There's a lot of ins and out. I'm sure multiple
- 8:24Speaker 2: people have made in depth videos about it. So I'll
- 8:29Speaker 2: just kind of say what's interesting to me and what
- 8:33Speaker 2: I know information about, and then if you guys, or
- 8:38Speaker 2: anyone in the live audience has questions or things like that,
- 8:43Speaker 2: we will go through that. Okay, So there. The new
- 8:50Speaker 2: thing is is there will be qualification phases. So that'll
- 8:54Speaker 2: be starting now through quarter three, and there will be
- 8:58Speaker 2: two different ways to you qualify. Local game stores can
- 9:03Speaker 2: still can still hold tournaments and qualify someone, but the
- 9:09Speaker 2: big exciting news is weekly league tournaments on BGA can
- 9:15Speaker 2: now qualify someone for a finals event. So, off the
- 9:22Speaker 2: top of my head, the Weekly Aces Road to Valhalla,
- 9:29Speaker 2: I think, the Spaghetti Singleton event, and the Foil Series,
- 9:38Speaker 2: which is turn based, I believe all of those include
- 9:46Speaker 2: a way to qualify for the finals. What that means
- 9:51Speaker 2: is if you win one of those weekly events, you
- 9:53Speaker 2: get invited to a finals, and then if you win
- 9:58Speaker 2: that finals, you are than qualified for Worlds.
- 10:02Speaker 1: Oh, is this going to allow more people to get
- 10:06Speaker 1: qualified or no? I don't know if.
- 10:13Speaker 2: They actually listed the total. I know that the last
- 10:18Speaker 2: chance qualifier. I mean you could do that. You could
- 10:23Speaker 2: break it down and do the math, because there will
- 10:26Speaker 2: still only be winter finals, Spring Finals, and Summer Finals
- 10:33Speaker 2: and then a season invitational. So after the three seasons
- 10:40Speaker 2: are complete Set four, five, and six, an online invitational
- 10:44Speaker 2: event will be held. This provides the last chance opportunity
- 10:48Speaker 2: for the performers from each of the season finals to
- 10:52Speaker 2: secure their place in World Championships. So I think I
- 10:56Speaker 2: maybe misspoke a little because you'll go into the season
- 11:02Speaker 2: finals and then you will participate in that, and then
- 11:08Speaker 2: I guess that qualifies you for the invitational. So this
- 11:12Speaker 2: is they're just kind of laying out the road map
- 11:17Speaker 2: so far. I think hard numbers and other certain dates
- 11:21Speaker 2: aren't really set yet. Looking through the article, Okay, yeah,
- 11:26Speaker 2: so it does say here. Actually it's just kind of
- 11:30Speaker 2: hidden in the sentence. So there will be a last
- 11:33Speaker 2: chance qualifier like there was last year. In quarter four
- 11:36Speaker 2: of this year, and it says eight available qualification slots
- 11:41Speaker 2: will be given towards that and they will join the
- 11:45Speaker 2: already secured twenty four other finalists. So at the final
- 11:52Speaker 2: World Championship, it's still only going to be thirty two.
- 11:55Speaker 1: So it's kind of a bummer.
- 11:59Speaker 5: But okay, Well there's just a lot of different ways
- 12:03Speaker 5: to get those qualifications now instead of just playing in
- 12:06Speaker 5: one big tournament like the ones in Dallas.
- 12:11Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly.
- 12:13Speaker 1: I just I was hoping be more more kind of inclusive,
- 12:16Speaker 1: but they want to keep it I guess still a little.
- 12:20Speaker 2: Yeah, well, if if they are doing it how they
- 12:24Speaker 2: did it last year, it makes sense that it would
- 12:27Speaker 2: only be twenty four because that is twenty four people
- 12:31Speaker 2: that are getting a paid trip to wherever Worlds is.
- 12:34Speaker 1: Are they still they're still going to pay for it? Huh?
- 12:38Speaker 3: I am.
- 12:38Speaker 2: I am not sure that is. I don't believe confirmed yet,
- 12:46Speaker 2: but that is a good reason why I would think
- 12:50Speaker 2: that there's a limited amount.
- 12:52Speaker 1: If that's the case, I could see, you know, keeping
- 12:56Speaker 1: it limited, right that I understand.
- 12:59Speaker 2: Yeah, Like I don't know exact numbers or anything, but
- 13:05Speaker 2: like one of the qualified players from Brazil and then
- 13:10Speaker 2: one was like from Malaysia and a flight for those,
- 13:15Speaker 2: and like some of the stuff is like seven grand
- 13:17Speaker 2: or something.
- 13:17Speaker 1: Yeah, it's.
- 13:20Speaker 2: Quite a lot. So so just to reiterate how I
- 13:25Speaker 2: am understanding this, because there's not a lot of hard numbers.
- 13:29Speaker 2: People qualify in weekly events, restore events for the season finals,
- 13:34Speaker 2: you compete in the season finals, and then if you
- 13:38Speaker 2: do well, you'll be invited to the season Invitational. And
- 13:44Speaker 2: that's how twenty four players will qualify and then eight
- 13:48Speaker 2: will be on seeing last chance qualifier. We just don't
- 13:53Speaker 2: know the bracket or I guess, like you know, this
- 13:57Speaker 2: tournament is the top four, YadA, YadA, We don't know
- 14:01Speaker 2: that information yet.
- 14:02Speaker 1: Okay, still pretty nft. Yeah, I'm glad they're still going
- 14:06Speaker 1: to have a I guess are There's still going to
- 14:15Speaker 1: be something to go to, right, so that's a big deal.
- 14:20Speaker 2: Yeah, so this article is actually really long. So some
- 14:27Speaker 2: other things that I'll just point out that are super
- 14:30Speaker 2: cool is they do mention competitive limited formats, so they
- 14:36Speaker 2: want more impact for limited formats this year, which includes
- 14:40Speaker 2: draft and sealed, and it's not exactly confirmed on if
- 14:48Speaker 2: it'll be like truly competitive, but they also have mentioned
- 14:57Speaker 2: no unique and Singleton and doing stuff with those. We
- 15:02Speaker 2: just don't know what yet. Astro says, what about two
- 15:06Speaker 2: V two. TWOV two has always already been included in
- 15:10Speaker 2: basically every competitive event, so at conventions we always do
- 15:16Speaker 2: TV two. At Worlds there was TWOV two unless I
- 15:20Speaker 2: am remembering entirely and correctly.
- 15:24Speaker 3: But.
- 15:26Speaker 2: Yes, so more of a support towards those. They talk
- 15:32Speaker 2: about a greater role for organizing partners, which we'll dive
- 15:36Speaker 2: into in a second on that part, and then they
- 15:40Speaker 2: just go through rewards. They talk about the judge program
- 15:44Speaker 2: and how they did not fully launch it when they intended,
- 15:47Speaker 2: but it's coming, and then revising all of the guidelines
- 15:52Speaker 2: and YadA YadA, And at the very end you can
- 15:55Speaker 2: see the return of the Tumults and the Tumult Champion
- 16:00Speaker 2: play mat, which, as always is a very cool play mat. Unfortunately,
- 16:07Speaker 2: I think it's my least favorite, but it is still
- 16:10Speaker 2: very good, still very good play mat.
- 16:12Speaker 1: You like it?
- 16:15Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 16:15Speaker 1: I think it's it looks like a player that's kind
- 16:20Speaker 1: of like a play I have.
- 16:23Speaker 4: So many play mats like. It's a cool play mat.
- 16:27Speaker 4: It has two mult champion on it. If you win,
- 16:30Speaker 4: great to show it off.
- 16:34Speaker 3: But this one has it at the top.
- 16:36Speaker 6: Didn't the last two more championships have it in the
- 16:38Speaker 6: quarter somewhere.
- 16:42Speaker 2: I think they're always in the top center.
- 16:46Speaker 1: Champion m.
- 16:52Speaker 2: But before I.
- 16:55Speaker 3: Top center like that?
- 16:57Speaker 2: Yeah, uh, can can you rattle on to partner leagues
- 17:07Speaker 2: anything you guys think or want to comment on on
- 17:11Speaker 2: that quick?
- 17:11Speaker 1: Rundown seems very similar to last year.
- 17:17Speaker 4: I don't line support.
- 17:20Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean that's it's kinda to be expected, which
- 17:26Speaker 1: is good to see. Right, It's nice to see them, Hey,
- 17:31Speaker 1: you know we're we're doing online because you know, I mean,
- 17:34Speaker 1: it's they kind of don't get much of a choice
- 17:37Speaker 1: in the matter, unfortunately, but like that's where the game
- 17:39Speaker 1: is playing. So it's nice to see them like, go, Okay,
- 17:43Speaker 1: we're gonna embrace this as opposed to.
- 17:50Speaker 3: Just give it a try.
- 17:52Speaker 1: Yeah, well, they're going to embrace it as opposed to
- 17:54Speaker 1: like acting like it never happened. There you go, that's
- 17:57Speaker 1: the word I'm looking for. Yeah, and a lot of
- 18:00Speaker 1: other companies have, right, there's a lot of other companies
- 18:03Speaker 1: that are what's the internet? Like, what's like what.
- 18:10Speaker 2: They have that wow song stuck in their head too,
- 18:13Speaker 2: So clearly, yeah, say whatever you want about the change
- 18:22Speaker 2: in distribution, but this is absolutely because of the change
- 18:27Speaker 2: of indistribution. We tried for a long time to work
- 18:33Speaker 2: with Asthma DA to get online support, and they were
- 18:37Speaker 2: always no, no, no, no, no, no no, especially in
- 18:42Speaker 2: North America. I've heard other smaller countries I think, like
- 18:48Speaker 2: Asthma Day Italy maybe they freaking made like statues for
- 18:55Speaker 2: prizes for one of the tournaments in the area, and
- 18:59Speaker 2: I'm like, damn, why can't why can't we get that
- 19:01Speaker 2: asth Mi Day. So yeah, but the online support, Asthma
- 19:08Speaker 2: Day North America especially never really wanted to work on that.
- 19:14Speaker 1: Not because as we the North America hates hates, hates.
- 19:21Speaker 2: Yeah, so there there is. There is one good point
- 19:25Speaker 2: that I kind of want to bring up in discuss
- 19:29Speaker 2: before we talk about the online events, because you know,
- 19:32Speaker 2: there's a lot of people who still prefer to play
- 19:34Speaker 2: in person. There are stores even in the US that
- 19:40Speaker 2: supported it. There's a pretty healthy scene in Baltimore and
- 19:44Speaker 2: some other areas. One thing that I have seen concern
- 19:50Speaker 2: about so far is there are stores that I guess
- 19:55Speaker 2: might want to hold a Tumult but didn't order the set,
- 20:00Speaker 2: which doesn't really make sense to me. But what we
- 20:05Speaker 2: don't know about currently is if there's a store that
- 20:11Speaker 2: wants to host a Tamil, is there going to be
- 20:14Speaker 2: an avenue for them to get something. I would say
- 20:20Speaker 2: it's possible because there is a specific like retail email
- 20:26Speaker 2: set up for stores, but they have not expressly stated
- 20:31Speaker 2: because the idea was if you order the set through
- 20:35Speaker 2: the retail part of Game Found, you get the Tumult
- 20:40Speaker 2: and adventure stuff like basically for free added on to it.
- 20:46Speaker 2: I don't know why a store would want to host
- 20:47Speaker 2: one but not order the set, but that's just my thoughts.
- 20:53Speaker 1: That would be weird, that would be funny. I would
- 20:55Speaker 1: agree with you on that one. So, but I mean
- 20:58Speaker 1: you never know, right like, it's weird. Stuff happens. I
- 21:02Speaker 1: guess that's the only way I can. I'm gonna put
- 21:04Speaker 1: it to you. But yeah, you'd want to have obviously
- 21:07Speaker 1: something to sell your constituents. I would think, right like, hey,
- 21:12Speaker 1: come play this game and nothing to sell you or
- 21:16Speaker 1: for price support? Yeah yeah.
- 21:21Speaker 2: All all they had to order to get the Tumult
- 21:24Speaker 2: Kit was two cases, which is only twelve displays?
- 21:30Speaker 1: Is it six per trust me?
- 21:32Speaker 2: That I believe? I believe so that is really not
- 21:39Speaker 2: a lot, especially if you're a store that thinks you
- 21:41Speaker 2: can hold a tumult like this is true because who
- 21:44Speaker 2: helped individual people that ordered a case.
- 21:48Speaker 1: Right last year?
- 21:50Speaker 2: Tons of stories.
- 21:52Speaker 1: No I don't know, Oh yeah, no, you're right, you're right,
- 21:55Speaker 1: you're right. Maybe for some of the smaller stores, it's
- 21:58Speaker 1: going to be a burden. I'm thinking. I was thinking
- 22:00Speaker 1: more of the big the two big well were the qualifiers,
- 22:05Speaker 1: which one was at games in Baltimore and Baltimore and
- 22:09Speaker 1: the one in Dallas. So those are the two I
- 22:12Speaker 1: was thinking of.
- 22:13Speaker 2: So even a small store though, like if if you
- 22:18Speaker 2: want to hold a tumult, you either have players that
- 22:22Speaker 2: wanted to pre order or you just inherited a bunch
- 22:26Speaker 2: of players after the campaign or something. Twelve boxes is
- 22:30Speaker 2: really not that much to go through. But I hope
- 22:36Speaker 2: they have an answer for that. How it would work
- 22:39Speaker 2: previously is you would just ask Asthma day be like,
- 22:43Speaker 2: hey can we host a tumult? And once again that
- 22:48Speaker 2: caused tons of issues. So while ordering it up front
- 22:54Speaker 2: is maybe harder for some, it ensures that you have
- 23:00Speaker 2: the product when you want to hold the tumult, and
- 23:03Speaker 2: also that you don't get the wrong season, which happened
- 23:08Speaker 2: more often than you would think.
- 23:11Speaker 1: I mean, I really so oh, but it was under
- 23:15Speaker 1: It was under like they would send.
- 23:23Speaker 2: They would send the Trial by Frost play mats for
- 23:26Speaker 2: Whispers from the Maze and and YadA YadA, and they
- 23:29Speaker 2: would be late or they would show up the day.
- 23:32Speaker 1: Sorry. Yeah, thinking, I'm thinking all of the things that
- 23:36Speaker 1: like some of us all went through well before this
- 23:39Speaker 1: game was even a thing, and it's just like, yeah,
- 23:42Speaker 1: the good old days of as day controlling your your
- 23:48Speaker 1: tournament stuff was just a nightmare because they didn't know
- 23:52Speaker 1: their heads from their asses half the time. It was great.
- 23:56Speaker 1: It was.
- 24:00Speaker 2: I think a very good note that kind of points
- 24:04Speaker 2: towards me thinking they'll be open to stuff like this
- 24:08Speaker 2: is they have a sponsorship article and we're mainly going
- 24:13Speaker 2: to talk about online because that's what we run and
- 24:17Speaker 2: a lot of us play in. But there is a
- 24:20Speaker 2: section here for in person tournaments, and it basically just says,
- 24:24Speaker 2: for any tournament, we encourage you to contact Equinox Organized
- 24:28Speaker 2: Play Team at opatalter dot gg and then they list
- 24:32Speaker 2: out based on how many players you know, what kind
- 24:35Speaker 2: of stuff they will send you. It starts at sixty
- 24:39Speaker 2: four players, but there have been more than a couple times,
- 24:45Speaker 2: you know, grassroots tournaments that have gotten more than sixty
- 24:50Speaker 2: four players. So if you want to organize something like that,
- 24:53Speaker 2: or you're a store that wants to, you just got
- 24:55Speaker 2: to email them.
- 24:56Speaker 1: So are they going to be doing the two larger
- 24:59Speaker 1: one like they did last year the invitational?
- 25:06Speaker 2: No? I think that's going to be online.
- 25:09Speaker 1: Are going to be on the line now? Yeah?
- 25:14Speaker 2: I think so because one of their partners in the
- 25:17Speaker 2: US UH backed out of Altered entirely. So uh, it
- 25:27Speaker 2: was it was our l gs, it was common ground
- 25:29Speaker 2: there no longer doing Altered. Yeah, and they hosted the
- 25:34Speaker 2: Dallas w c q UH. They they did not vibe
- 25:38Speaker 2: with the Bloody Monday communication.
- 25:43Speaker 1: They didn't vibe.
- 25:44Speaker 3: It was a download for a lot of places for sure.
- 25:47Speaker 1: Yep, yep, I mean it was which you know, it
- 25:53Speaker 1: was an unfortunate event, which means whoever, whoever has as
- 25:57Speaker 1: whoever had access to that to that we are at
- 26:01Speaker 1: access to post things on the internet. I hope you've
- 26:04Speaker 1: taken the access away.
- 26:07Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 26:08Speaker 1: I don't ever for people to be fired, but that
- 26:11Speaker 1: seems like a fireable offense. If someone asks me.
- 26:18Speaker 2: It was just not peer reviewed, is what we'll say.
- 26:22Speaker 4: It was just bad timing too.
- 26:25Speaker 1: I don't think it was reviewed at all.
- 26:26Speaker 2: I'm sure the person who was host did it. It
- 26:34Speaker 2: wasn't their fault. I'm sure someone above them was like,
- 26:36Speaker 2: we need to get this out now, go ahead and
- 26:38Speaker 2: do it, and then uh, yeah.
- 26:41Speaker 3: We'll worry about it later and then yeah, yeah.
- 26:45Speaker 1: I just I can't see that happening. I just I'm
- 26:49Speaker 1: having a hard time for going like, well, okay, so
- 26:54Speaker 1: like maybe it's not it was a I just have
- 26:58Speaker 1: a hard time believing that it would be like we
- 27:00Speaker 1: need to get this information out there, and somebody's like
- 27:02Speaker 1: on it, boss, and then they run over and they're
- 27:05Speaker 1: like and they just type this up and it's like, oh,
- 27:11Speaker 1: like it just doesn't seem like that in the day, right,
- 27:14Speaker 1: that's just like why would you like and no, it's
- 27:18Speaker 1: just it's all seems wrong. I don't know, like it
- 27:22Speaker 1: just like just even reading it, you're like, it's like
- 27:26Speaker 1: that's kind of harsh. Are you sure that's how you
- 27:29Speaker 1: want to word that? Like there was I think there's
- 27:31Speaker 1: better ways of wording it, but I don't know, like yeah,
- 27:36Speaker 1: I like, I just I have a hard time believing.
- 27:40Speaker 1: They're like, yeah, we need to get this information on it.
- 27:42Speaker 1: It just like doesn't seem it does doesn't seem right,
- 27:45Speaker 1: is that it seems like that's not the way you
- 27:49Speaker 1: do that, And there were significantly better ways of doing
- 27:52Speaker 1: things as such, and there were, but well, okay, enough
- 27:59Speaker 1: of me.
- 28:00Speaker 2: Yeah now we're uh yeah, we were. We're headed into
- 28:07Speaker 2: the new era. And the exciting thing is and ACE
- 28:12Speaker 2: is included in part of this. They have worked out
- 28:18Speaker 2: a system for online events and any event that has
- 28:25Speaker 2: thirty two, you to sixty four players hosted on BGA,
- 28:30Speaker 2: Equinox will provide ten uniques for the top player every week.
- 28:38Speaker 2: So in ACE, we've now had three weeks, so that's
- 28:43Speaker 2: you know, thirty uniques that Equinox is sending to finalists.
- 28:49Speaker 1: So I have.
- 28:52Speaker 2: Like a connection with Cedric who's the OP manager, and
- 28:56Speaker 2: I give him information on you know, who won each week,
- 29:00Speaker 2: and he sends me uniques to send to that player.
- 29:02Speaker 2: So it's actually a very cool system.
- 29:05Speaker 1: I've already all just digital want is that how it works?
- 29:12Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, okay, so you just get them
- 29:15Speaker 2: into your account.
- 29:16Speaker 1: So yeah, so it's like the part where yeah, go ahead, yeah,
- 29:25Speaker 1: it's gonna.
- 29:26Speaker 2: Take us a little bit to get say the part
- 29:28Speaker 2: where we've uh the part. The next part that we
- 29:34Speaker 2: talked about a little bit before was like qualifications and
- 29:38Speaker 2: things like that. The tournament does have to have sixty
- 29:42Speaker 2: four to one hundred and twenty eight players. Right now, ACE,
- 29:47Speaker 2: which is the tournament series that Altered Corner runs, does
- 29:51Speaker 2: not hit sixty four. So if if you want that
- 29:55Speaker 2: to happen, you got to sign up for Race. But
- 29:59Speaker 2: the top spot gets ten uniques, the second spot gets
- 30:03Speaker 2: five uniques, and then three Faction unique cards for each
- 30:07Speaker 2: Faction champion and a World Championship Season Finals qualification. So
- 30:15Speaker 2: what this means is going back to October is season four.
- 30:22Speaker 2: So if you competed in a tournament that was over
- 30:26Speaker 2: sixty four players and you got, you know, first place,
- 30:33Speaker 2: you are then qualified for the Winter is In Finals event,
- 30:40Speaker 2: which you will then compete in that to move on
- 30:44Speaker 2: to the Invitational, I believe is what they called it.
- 30:48Speaker 2: What's really cool about that is there are actually going
- 30:52Speaker 2: to be I'm not sure if any of them have
- 30:54Speaker 2: qualified yet, but there will be no unique tournaments that
- 30:57Speaker 2: you can do this with. And Singleton has been partnered
- 31:02Speaker 2: as well, I think.
- 31:03Speaker 1: People were showing up to the in person one in
- 31:10Speaker 1: the US World qualifiers. Yeah, the two US qualifiers. Do
- 31:15Speaker 1: we remember how many showed up to each one? Fifty?
- 31:20Speaker 2: Well, Dallas had I think fifty eight or sixty registered,
- 31:26Speaker 2: but then there was a bomb threat, so I think
- 31:28Speaker 2: we ended up with fifty two fifty three, and then
- 31:32Speaker 2: I think Games and Stuff had sixty five or less.
- 31:39Speaker 1: I'm just having a hard time with everything being online,
- 31:43Speaker 1: Like I just I really feel like it needs well
- 31:46Speaker 1: online is I know online is king, right, I get it,
- 31:50Speaker 1: But like if you're not what more popular?
- 31:54Speaker 2: No?
- 31:54Speaker 1: And I get it, right, I get it that online
- 31:57Speaker 1: is the way people are playing right now?
- 32:00Speaker 2: Right, what is.
- 32:02Speaker 1: The strategy then to make this game become a little
- 32:09Speaker 1: bit more? Right? What's the growth strategy look like here
- 32:12Speaker 1: in the next I know right now they're kind of
- 32:15Speaker 1: in well, we're just really working from game found to
- 32:19Speaker 1: game found. I guess just it's not a great way
- 32:24Speaker 1: to work just by previous experiences. Just like, what's what's
- 32:31Speaker 1: your growth strategy? Because you're not because you're not encouraging
- 32:33Speaker 1: people to get into the stores to play it. But
- 32:37Speaker 1: I mean, is I guess does that even matter? Anymore, Like,
- 32:41Speaker 1: I don't my thing like online is online is?
- 32:51Speaker 2: I was just gonna say my hot take is it
- 32:54Speaker 2: does not matter as much anymore. I think for far
- 32:59Speaker 2: too long we've put this the game store matters first
- 33:03Speaker 2: and foremost above all else, and I actually think it's
- 33:07Speaker 2: very bad for games just but like.
- 33:10Speaker 1: What's your I don't know about that, like, because your
- 33:12Speaker 1: growth strategy is, Like, what is your growth strategy for
- 33:17Speaker 1: growing the game into more? Like because now it seems
- 33:20Speaker 1: like once it goes to online. I mean, I know
- 33:22Speaker 1: there's games like Hearthstone out there, but those are fully digital, right,
- 33:26Speaker 1: They're not expecting you to buy any you know, overpriced
- 33:29Speaker 1: cardboard pieces. They're asking you to buy overpriced pieces of code.
- 33:34Speaker 1: But like what if you're not? Just is do we
- 33:39Speaker 1: live in a world where altered might just become fully virtual?
- 33:48Speaker 1: That's a question I'm doing, not you, But.
- 33:51Speaker 2: I think this is kind of I do not think so.
- 33:56Speaker 3: I think yeah, so I think along what Cole.
- 34:04Speaker 6: I think what was was going to say was that
- 34:07Speaker 6: digital would be the main audience and the physical would not.
- 34:14Speaker 1: Digital is is one hundred percent the main audience? We've
- 34:18Speaker 1: seen that because somehow we're pulling hundreds of people online,
- 34:22Speaker 1: but like struggling to get anybody in store. Right, So
- 34:26Speaker 1: obviously digital is your main audience. But then would it
- 34:31Speaker 1: I don't know. Is it cheaper to do the online
- 34:34Speaker 1: portion than it is running actual physical cards? Then is
- 34:41Speaker 1: this something that we can.
- 34:44Speaker 2: Be sure?
- 34:46Speaker 1: I mean, but put put those aside, right, I don't
- 34:48Speaker 1: think the tariffs are the end all be all to
- 34:51Speaker 1: you know, there's other games that are being affected by
- 34:55Speaker 1: the tariffs, and that you know they're not they're not struggling, right,
- 35:01Speaker 1: maybe they are. No, I'm not as I'm not as
- 35:04Speaker 1: deep in those communities. But does I just is this
- 35:09Speaker 1: a way you know what I mean? Because we're talking,
- 35:11Speaker 1: we're talking. What do we say? Two point five million
- 35:15Speaker 1: is their goal per game found? Right?
- 35:21Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 35:22Speaker 6: And then we have to keep in mind that altered
- 35:24Speaker 6: is tied to the physical and if people don't find
- 35:26Speaker 6: the physical, they can't scan.
- 35:28Speaker 3: And maybe you can't scan, you don't have a marketplace.
- 35:30Speaker 1: Well okay, but if if if I am going full
- 35:34Speaker 1: digital at that point, right, you don't Yeah, exactly right,
- 35:39Speaker 1: there's nothing there's no need.
- 35:40Speaker 6: To find another avenue to be able to have products
- 35:45Speaker 6: and actually stand out the people in some way, because
- 35:48Speaker 6: there's just making actual online marketplace for it, and.
- 35:51Speaker 1: The unfortunate people, well there isn't on you they they
- 35:54Speaker 1: only online marketplace for it. You guys are right now
- 35:58Speaker 1: everybody's swapping basically digital pieces of code right that you
- 36:04Speaker 1: have the option to print if you so desire. Yeah,
- 36:07Speaker 1: but like more or less right now, there's already that's
- 36:10Speaker 1: already built into the system. It just seems like it's
- 36:13Speaker 1: an unfortunate series of events that we that altered as hit. Like,
- 36:17Speaker 1: you know, at first this game had a lot of
- 36:19Speaker 1: hype behind it, and then like things didn't go fast
- 36:22Speaker 1: enough for some people who don't understand how the real
- 36:25Speaker 1: world works. Thank you millennials, like it's just and they
- 36:34Speaker 1: were like, well this is not I'm out because this
- 36:37Speaker 1: isn't happening at the speed I want it to happen at.
- 36:40Speaker 1: So a bunch of people left and then.
- 36:43Speaker 6: Well thinking that, like the marketplace doesn't exist, but the
- 36:50Speaker 6: only cars that currently exist in it are cars that
- 36:53Speaker 6: you can actually scan. Right, so if for whatever reason,
- 36:56Speaker 6: you take the physical completely gone, yeah, right now you
- 37:00Speaker 6: know all the physical cards were completely gone, the marketplace
- 37:02Speaker 6: are remove, you will be able to scan anything anymore, right,
- 37:05Speaker 6: so they had to create.
- 37:05Speaker 3: A new whole.
- 37:06Speaker 6: Infrastructure and product line that would be specific to online,
- 37:09Speaker 6: which doesn't exist.
- 37:11Speaker 1: It doesn't exist.
- 37:12Speaker 2: There are cards that only exist digital.
- 37:16Speaker 4: Yeah, the problem was though, but they aren't on the marketplace.
- 37:20Speaker 2: Yeah they are.
- 37:21Speaker 1: Why wouldn't they be.
- 37:24Speaker 4: Oh, the Musubie cards Okay, I thought you were talking
- 37:26Speaker 4: about like the dragon from that event.
- 37:30Speaker 1: Yeah, there's two a couple of them that.
- 37:33Speaker 4: Are that are yeah available to everyone.
- 37:36Speaker 1: Right, So, like I don't know, like, is this is
- 37:40Speaker 1: this the world that we live in where just you know,
- 37:43Speaker 1: like again digital has taken over? Like is this a
- 37:47Speaker 1: way for and what it hurt altered more to just go, hey,
- 37:53Speaker 1: we're going full digital. I don't know what, like what
- 37:58Speaker 1: kind of money that one can get would hurt?
- 38:00Speaker 3: It would hurt?
- 38:01Speaker 1: Why would it hurt?
- 38:07Speaker 4: Because there is still people that really enjoy playing physical
- 38:10Speaker 4: and don't like digital, like yourself, that to play in stores.
- 38:15Speaker 4: That market still does exist currently, it's just smaller.
- 38:18Speaker 1: Than But I feel I am very much in the minority,
- 38:23Speaker 1: very much in the minority. Yeah, And if I had
- 38:29Speaker 1: easier access to cards, because I don't have access besides
- 38:34Speaker 1: the game found if I had easier access, if I
- 38:36Speaker 1: could just go online and maybe buy a box and
- 38:39Speaker 1: rip some digitis. Right, I might be a little more active.
- 38:44Speaker 1: I don't know, might I might might not be. Well,
- 38:48Speaker 1: you know, you.
- 38:50Speaker 2: Can just go on the marketplace and buy like sixty
- 38:53Speaker 2: cards for.
- 38:57Speaker 3: All.
- 38:57Speaker 1: This is true, But like, I don't know, Like I
- 39:02Speaker 1: just I feel like maybe this is a measure they
- 39:05Speaker 1: could take and then you cut out the physical realm
- 39:11Speaker 1: and maybe make your your goals a little bit easier.
- 39:17Speaker 1: We're still keeping into the card game realm.
- 39:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, so what I would say is I
- 39:27Speaker 2: think going forward, this is going to be more of
- 39:32Speaker 2: the reality. It's not going to be like huge push
- 39:36Speaker 2: into physical only or huge push into digital only. It's
- 39:40Speaker 2: going to be a more incorporated mix of both. And
- 39:44Speaker 2: I think if they were to go one hundred percent digital,
- 39:49Speaker 2: the issues with that are not what most people would think.
- 39:53Speaker 2: They've already proven that they can, you know, divvy out hundreds,
- 39:57Speaker 2: if not thousands of uniques digitally that have never been printed,
- 40:01Speaker 2: same with altart cards, things like that, and then, if anything,
- 40:05Speaker 2: that keeps the marketplace going, because if everyone you know
- 40:11Speaker 2: gets them at some point, maybe for some reason, someone
- 40:14Speaker 2: wants wants six instead of three, you know, and if
- 40:19Speaker 2: you sell them on the market, you can do that.
- 40:22Speaker 2: Just recently they unlocked the ability to sell the alt
- 40:27Speaker 2: art beyond the gates tokens, so Ma Buddha and the
- 40:32Speaker 2: Recruit and I think Brass Book and the Buddha one
- 40:36Speaker 2: is selling for like three dollars a token because people
- 40:41Speaker 2: that didn't buy the first set had no way of
- 40:44Speaker 2: getting them until now. The issue, I think if they
- 40:48Speaker 2: were to go fully digital would be laws. They they
- 40:52Speaker 2: are an international game, which most TCGs actually aren't, and
- 40:58Speaker 2: there are a lot of laws around like digital packs
- 41:02Speaker 2: and what a lot of countries consider gambling.
- 41:05Speaker 1: Mm hmmm. I wonder how gets around that.
- 41:13Speaker 2: They are different in other countries and things like that.
- 41:16Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure.
- 41:20Speaker 3: That the worst where's the main office? It's right said.
- 41:25Speaker 6: Europe has really really really strict laws on loop boxes
- 41:29Speaker 6: and gambling compared to the US.
- 41:32Speaker 2: YEP, they just have to change it to where like
- 41:36Speaker 2: you can't buy a box for six bucks and not
- 41:40Speaker 2: you know, get what you want or something like that.
- 41:44Speaker 2: I think if you're able to earn an in game
- 41:46Speaker 2: currency for them, it's a little more lenient, But I
- 41:50Speaker 2: I haven't looked into those changes in a long time,
- 41:53Speaker 2: but more countries are starting to, you know, break down
- 41:56Speaker 2: on it even more.
- 41:58Speaker 1: Because I wonder if you're breaking down on the online stuff,
- 42:02Speaker 1: like how is this not being broken down into the
- 42:05Speaker 1: card game division, into car you know, magic and Pokemon
- 42:09Speaker 1: and all this stuff too over overseas because it, you know,
- 42:16Speaker 1: has physical products that everyone can get their profits in.
- 42:21Speaker 2: I don't know, or because legislations are stupid.
- 42:25Speaker 1: That's probably because legislations are stupid, but I wonder, I wonder,
- 42:30Speaker 1: But that's I think that mays top it for a
- 42:31Speaker 1: different day. I'll maybe do some research on it and
- 42:35Speaker 1: we'll try to figure it out.
- 42:40Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 42:40Speaker 2: I think for the United States, the thing that a
- 42:43Speaker 2: lot of people might not want to hear is that
- 42:46Speaker 2: the game is going to be mostly digital in the
- 42:51Speaker 2: United States. But I think their system is really good anyways.
- 42:59Speaker 2: If you do, you back the game founds to get
- 43:01Speaker 2: physical product. Unfortunate side of things is if you don't
- 43:06Speaker 2: have anywhere to play locally, they're kind of like dead
- 43:11Speaker 2: once you scan them, you know, but the marketplace changes
- 43:17Speaker 2: that entirely. I have honestly, it's helped me survive the
- 43:24Speaker 2: last two months because, as some people may know, I've
- 43:26Speaker 2: been unemployed, just selling cards on the marketplace. So if
- 43:31Speaker 2: I back the game found and I pull something like
- 43:34Speaker 2: an extra exalt or you know, the Hunger is really expensive, rare,
- 43:40Speaker 2: and I'm like, well, I'm not playing Bravos, not even online.
- 43:44Speaker 2: I can just sell them for profit and you know,
- 43:47Speaker 2: take that money out. So I think how you look
- 43:52Speaker 2: at the physical product, whether you can play with it
- 43:55Speaker 2: or not, is you know how most of the US
- 43:58Speaker 2: will go forward, But who knows, maybe there will be
- 44:01Speaker 2: a revitalization and it'll come back around in different areas
- 44:07Speaker 2: where it died out. It's happened before, and there still
- 44:10Speaker 2: are pockets of you know, good groups of people. It's
- 44:15Speaker 2: just the US has no public transportation and is very
- 44:19Speaker 2: spread out.
- 44:20Speaker 1: So yeah, yep, I wouldn't say no, but like I
- 44:25Speaker 1: not great quality.
- 44:29Speaker 2: Yeah. I shared the other day if I wanted to
- 44:33Speaker 2: take public transit to my LGS common ground, Google literally says, sorry,
- 44:39Speaker 2: there's no way to do this, Like there's no way
- 44:44Speaker 2: to get to that store with public transit in my area,
- 44:47Speaker 2: which is very funny.
- 44:50Speaker 1: That's a bummer. All right, where did we leave off?
- 44:52Speaker 1: Did we do Winter season Finals? I think we did that.
- 44:57Speaker 2: Yep, yep, So we talked about the Winter Season finals.
- 45:01Speaker 2: We talked about the Demo Deck tournament. I normally would
- 45:06Speaker 2: have had more information because they used to be hosted
- 45:09Speaker 2: by a Wall, but a Wall is no more, so
- 45:13Speaker 2: I do not have any more information other than it's
- 45:17Speaker 2: happening that date that we said earlier Sunday something. It's
- 45:22Speaker 2: in the article, but I'm sure more information will come out,
- 45:26Speaker 2: And as usual, as important information comes out, I tag
- 45:31Speaker 2: at Digital in the Altered Corner discord, which you would
- 45:35Speaker 2: be really silly to mute if you've signed up for
- 45:38Speaker 2: those notifications, because if you come to me six days
- 45:41Speaker 2: later and say I never saw that, I'll tell you
- 45:43Speaker 2: that I pinged you for it. But yeah, the last
- 45:48Speaker 2: two things are just super quick before we get into
- 45:51Speaker 2: the question and events and wrap up reveal season for
- 45:57Speaker 2: Seeds kicks back up January twenty ninth. We have about
- 46:02Speaker 2: I think a guy trying said forty five ish percent
- 46:06Speaker 2: of the set revealed, so the rest of it will
- 46:10Speaker 2: start coming out then. And in this main article that's
- 46:16Speaker 2: on the website that we're talking about, there's just reminders
- 46:20Speaker 2: for you know, game found information. If you didn't get
- 46:24Speaker 2: your uniques, do this, if you know you need to
- 46:26Speaker 2: change your address. Blah blah blah.
- 46:28Speaker 3: Do that.
- 46:28Speaker 2: So make sure you have all your things lined up
- 46:34Speaker 2: before it ships, because you don't want it to ship
- 46:37Speaker 2: to your grandma's house if you don't live there anymore.
- 46:43Speaker 1: Me and mom's gotten what's what's what's your.
- 46:47Speaker 2: What's what's your wife saying? Look at what she saying.
- 46:50Speaker 1: I don't know if she's talking to my daughter. It's
- 46:54Speaker 1: gonna be that time of that time we got all right,
- 46:56Speaker 1: We got to get people to people to Betty buys.
- 47:00Speaker 1: Because finals are starting in high school.
- 47:02Speaker 4: You're ready for school tomorrow.
- 47:04Speaker 1: Finals are starting soon. I don't know when, but finals
- 47:08Speaker 1: are starting soon.
- 47:09Speaker 2: So Felix is, yeah.
- 47:12Speaker 1: For high school? What do you mean for high school?
- 47:15Speaker 1: Mid terms? They call them all finals in high school, not.
- 47:20Speaker 3: Midters at least for us in December. But our semester
- 47:25Speaker 3: did just start.
- 47:26Speaker 1: Oh yeah, they're there is I believe this week maybe
- 47:32Speaker 1: next week? Oh okay, so they have their their their.
- 47:36Speaker 4: Midterms start later and then later.
- 47:40Speaker 1: Right, yeap. Yeah, we don't start. You guys start in
- 47:43Speaker 1: like August, don't you.
- 47:47Speaker 4: Yeah, we start mit August.
- 47:48Speaker 1: Yeah, they don't start till like uh huh, thank you, Yes,
- 47:57Speaker 1: they just start later, okay.
- 47:59Speaker 2: And you eat in the eggs at ten pm.
- 48:03Speaker 1: Yeah, I love eggs.
- 48:05Speaker 2: I am on an have nightmares about those green egg
- 48:10Speaker 2: aliens from Goosebumps.
- 48:12Speaker 1: Well at ten I've been really good, but as of late,
- 48:17Speaker 1: I have been in a extraordinary today. I'm in a
- 48:20Speaker 1: time bunch, right, I've been. I've been doing a lot
- 48:22Speaker 1: of stuff today, so I kind of am in a
- 48:25Speaker 1: time bunch. I lost track of time because I've been
- 48:27Speaker 1: trying to get a bunch of stuff done. But regardless
- 48:30Speaker 1: of that, I am on a what I'm gonna call
- 48:35Speaker 1: somewhat of a health journey this year to maybe drop
- 48:39Speaker 1: a handful of pounds.
- 48:41Speaker 2: Let's go.
- 48:43Speaker 1: And kind of see if my thirty eight year old
- 48:47Speaker 1: ass can do it. So eggs are typically a good
- 48:55Speaker 1: way to shed weight, eating them at ten pm is not,
- 48:59Speaker 1: but you know, it is what it is. You know.
- 49:02Speaker 1: It was one of those things where I was doing
- 49:04Speaker 1: stuff all day and then all of a sudden, I'm like,
- 49:06Speaker 1: oh shit, it's fucking before I knew it. It was
- 49:10Speaker 1: like my alarms going off, and I'm like, what's my
- 49:12Speaker 1: alarm going off for? I'm like, oh fuck, it's nine.
- 49:14Speaker 1: Who knew?
- 49:15Speaker 2: So yeah, yeah, I'm ready to uh see shredded shredded Wookie.
- 49:22Speaker 1: I don't know if you'll get a shredded Wookie, but
- 49:25Speaker 1: hopefully you'll get a slim down Wookie.
- 49:29Speaker 3: This so it.
- 49:33Speaker 1: All shredded and just shredded to you, guys, Ready to answer,
- 49:41Speaker 1: Ready to go to the question?
- 49:42Speaker 2: Everybody answer a fun question?
- 49:45Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, jeez, I can't answer this.
- 49:51Speaker 4: Maybe a question seems like an oxymoron to me.
- 49:54Speaker 1: If you could make your idea definition of because Dexter
- 49:59Speaker 1: is gonna be like a one drop that just wins
- 50:02Speaker 1: the game, that's not broken, that's not broken.
- 50:05Speaker 4: That's really.
- 50:08Speaker 1: All right.
- 50:09Speaker 2: Let me let me lead the way for you here, Dexter.
- 50:13Speaker 3: Uh huh.
- 50:14Speaker 1: All right, So the question is ideal non broken unique.
- 50:18Speaker 1: There you go, ideal non broken unique. All right.
- 50:24Speaker 2: So mine is in Muna. It costs three from hand,
- 50:32Speaker 2: two from reserve or three whatever, it don't matter. And
- 50:37Speaker 2: all it does is at dusk if it has a boost,
- 50:42Speaker 2: it draws a card. That's it. It's good. That's all
- 50:46Speaker 2: I need. That's all I need, no landmark requirement, no
- 50:51Speaker 2: other character requirements, just that, and it's good. It's what
- 50:56Speaker 2: Muna needs, and it's not broken. See.
- 51:02Speaker 4: I have a lot of different ideas, but I'm pretty
- 51:05Speaker 4: sure you would quantify them. All is being broken.
- 51:08Speaker 1: Yeah, dexters are just going to be.
- 51:09Speaker 4: Broken, not bro Bravos three three. Let's say it's stats
- 51:18Speaker 4: are understandd so it's like a two to one two
- 51:22Speaker 4: and whenever it gains a boost straw card.
- 51:27Speaker 1: How do we like that? No, no, no, you tried,
- 51:32Speaker 1: you tried.
- 51:32Speaker 3: It already exists and it's too much.
- 51:35Speaker 4: You tried, You tried to make a little bit more expensive,
- 51:38Speaker 4: and is it fair?
- 51:40Speaker 3: It could It could be a three.
- 51:41Speaker 6: Three with a with zero zero zero and you draw
- 51:44Speaker 6: a card everything you get a boost, and it's still nasty.
- 51:49Speaker 1: I don't think you realize how much draw card like
- 51:52Speaker 1: you have to reel that in to make it.
- 51:55Speaker 3: That's why I like it.
- 51:57Speaker 1: Every time you draw efficiency just as through the roof
- 52:01Speaker 1: like you're I don't feel like you understand the powerfulness
- 52:05Speaker 1: of just the phrase that you just said. Because I
- 52:09Speaker 1: want something with birds, so like every time you play
- 52:17Speaker 1: a bird, it would be a bird. What are all
- 52:19Speaker 1: we're all the birds? Are they all in muna? I
- 52:22Speaker 1: don't know if mag I know they're.
- 52:24Speaker 2: They're multiple factions. It would be the subtype animal is
- 52:30Speaker 2: what you're looking for.
- 52:32Speaker 1: I know it's got to be bird. Bird.
- 52:36Speaker 2: I don't know something bird subtype.
- 52:38Speaker 1: First of all, we need to make we need to
- 52:40Speaker 1: make the subtype of bird. And then you know when
- 52:44Speaker 1: whenever you go, it would be played. Whenever you play.
- 52:46Speaker 1: You know, a bird, you can place a plus one,
- 52:51Speaker 1: you can place one boost on target bird. Very bird centric.
- 52:58Speaker 2: But adding the bird subtype breaks the game because birds
- 53:03Speaker 2: are already in it, and they're all animals.
- 53:06Speaker 1: You know, we gotta maybe we got a oracle text
- 53:08Speaker 1: some of these bad boys to their animals and birds.
- 53:11Speaker 1: Oh god, you know, we'll we'll cross that bridge. Lately,
- 53:15Speaker 1: it said ideal, Right, if I can make my ideal,
- 53:20Speaker 1: My ideal involves making a whole a whole subtype.
- 53:28Speaker 2: But they're they're already animals. You just need more of them.
- 53:31Speaker 1: Yeah, but I don't want all the other dirty animals
- 53:34Speaker 1: to get it. Just bird. Yeah.
- 53:39Speaker 2: No no cats or dogs allowed.
- 53:41Speaker 1: No cats, no dogs, no bunny is no what else
- 53:46Speaker 1: do we got in this? I think the whale, right,
- 53:49Speaker 1: the sky whale is technically an animal. No it's not,
- 53:52Speaker 1: is it?
- 53:54Speaker 3: Yep?
- 53:57Speaker 1: Yeah, it's but a subtype of animal and it's just
- 54:00Speaker 1: a Leviathan.
- 54:02Speaker 2: No.
- 54:03Speaker 1: Yeah, I just want the birds. It's my idea. This
- 54:07Speaker 1: is my dream world. Guys, deal with this, okay. Anyways,
- 54:12Speaker 1: do we have Felix?
- 54:16Speaker 3: Not yet?
- 54:17Speaker 6: But mine it's pretty simple, all right. I just need
- 54:20Speaker 6: I just need garret with a lower reserve cost. Fine,
- 54:25Speaker 6: I have one.
- 54:28Speaker 3: It's like.
- 54:30Speaker 6: I have one that's two three three zero zero, and
- 54:34Speaker 6: then from anywhere you can pay one one manna to
- 54:38Speaker 6: pick up a cover from your reserve.
- 54:39Speaker 3: I just need it to be a two.
- 54:40Speaker 6: Two three zero zero and you don't have to pay
- 54:43Speaker 6: the man I have to pick up something, got it reasonable?
- 54:47Speaker 2: What's funny is you and all your garricks and me
- 54:51Speaker 2: and Arrows I pulled I opened I don't know, like
- 54:55Speaker 2: fifteen assorted packs or something over the weekend, and I
- 54:59Speaker 2: pulled to New Arrows uniques, just sitting down to do that.
- 55:05Speaker 2: It was funny.
- 55:06Speaker 3: I have a full page of Garys right now, in
- 55:08Speaker 3: half of another one.
- 55:09Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, I believe Felix is going to sneak off
- 55:15Speaker 2: into the sunset.
- 55:16Speaker 3: He has to see me. I will sneak off.
