- 0:00Speaker 1: Shad Well.
- 1:34Speaker 2: Hello, Hello, Hello, and welcome, Welcome, Welcome. I just wanted
- 1:37Speaker 2: to jump on really quick. Have a couple of things
- 1:39Speaker 2: that I really want to share with you guys, y'all,
- 1:42Speaker 2: I tell you I am super super stoked over here
- 1:46Speaker 2: this morning. I just got off of an amazing, amazing call.
- 1:51Speaker 2: Had to jump on because I personally wanted to give
- 1:55Speaker 2: a shout out to the person or the people, or
- 2:00Speaker 2: whoever it may have been that decided to nominate me
- 2:04Speaker 2: for this opportunity. I want to share this email that
- 2:09Speaker 2: I received on the eighteenth, which was two days ago.
- 2:13Speaker 2: Thought I had missed the opportunity because I thought I'd
- 2:16Speaker 2: sent the email back and did not send the email back.
- 2:19Speaker 2: So I received the email from Coastal Carolina University. Young
- 2:25Speaker 2: lady says, Hey Angela, my name is Emma, and I'm
- 2:29Speaker 2: reaching out on behalf of a themeum press at Coastal
- 2:35Speaker 2: Carolina University. Recently, you were nominated as an individual who
- 2:39Speaker 2: could offer insight as an experienced creative professional. We've loved
- 2:46Speaker 2: to hear your voice. We are conducting interviews to showcase
- 2:50Speaker 2: the diverse journeys and industries of creative work. Your story
- 2:56Speaker 2: would help current high school and early college students find
- 3:01Speaker 2: their own career path using their creative skills. You were
- 3:05Speaker 2: once in that student's shoe, and I still during that time.
- 3:09Speaker 2: I still was, y'all. I just finished on Monday. I
- 3:13Speaker 2: am sure that you would love to benefit. You would
- 3:18Speaker 2: have loved the benefit of hearing from someone like yourself,
- 3:21Speaker 2: and I would have because I would have took a
- 3:23Speaker 2: whole different route. So shout out to who nominated me.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Thank you. If you choose to participate and accept your nomination,
- 3:32Speaker 2: you'll be asked to hop on a quick fifteen minute
- 3:36Speaker 2: zoom call, which I just completed, y'all, and it was
- 3:39Speaker 2: amazing to talk about what you are currently working on,
- 3:44Speaker 2: the challenges that you have faced, and some advice for
- 3:47Speaker 2: future students who would want to enter your field. We've
- 3:52Speaker 2: asked you to sit a headshot to be featured on
- 3:57Speaker 2: our creative Careers website. So it said, let me know
- 4:02Speaker 2: if you think you would be interested. Yes, I participated.
- 4:05Speaker 2: I just finished. Shout out to Coastal Carolina University and
- 4:10Speaker 2: the partnership that y'all have with the I forget the
- 4:13Speaker 2: name of the partnership, but shout out. I definitely will
- 4:17Speaker 2: be sharing this interview with you guys, I had amazing opportunity.
- 4:23Speaker 2: It was an amazing opportunity, and I truly, truly, I
- 4:27Speaker 2: am grateful. I cannot stress enough two individuals, the importance
- 4:36Speaker 2: of visibility, the importance of getting out there and allowing
- 4:42Speaker 2: people to see what you're doing even when you think
- 4:45Speaker 2: that no one is watching. Because I'm telling you, y'all,
- 4:49Speaker 2: I see the thousands and thousands of individuals that come
- 4:55Speaker 2: across my page, but I never get alike, I never
- 4:57Speaker 2: get a share, I never get any of that particular input.
- 5:00Speaker 2: But I see the reach. I see the people that
- 5:05Speaker 2: it reaches, the people that are actually engaging, whether they
- 5:09Speaker 2: share it, whether they like it or not, but I
- 5:11Speaker 2: know that they're watching it. So that alone lets me
- 5:16Speaker 2: know that I'm doing something that I'm supposed to do
- 5:19Speaker 2: be doing. And then every time I get on an
- 5:22Speaker 2: interview or I get in something, and I'm telling you,
- 5:25Speaker 2: the God that I serve, y'all, I cannot leave him
- 5:27Speaker 2: out of this, because the God that I serve, every
- 5:31Speaker 2: time I get in my spirit and I feel like
- 5:36Speaker 2: I'm not doing what I'm supposed to be doing, or
- 5:38Speaker 2: that I'm not reaching people, or something that's not right God,
- 5:43Speaker 2: I always send a rim in the bush to remind
- 5:46Speaker 2: me to you ignite that fire again within me to say, hey, baby,
- 5:51Speaker 2: you on the right track. Just stay on that path,
- 5:53Speaker 2: don't get out. But see a lot of us will quit.
- 5:56Speaker 2: We'll give up in the midst of y'all. I'm telling you,
- 6:01Speaker 2: I'm so grateful. Like this weekend, I thank God for Shaniia. Y'all.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Five years we've been on that pray call, and I've
- 6:07Speaker 2: been encouraging her to write a book. She joined a
- 6:11Speaker 2: couple of anthologies. But God touched her heart the end
- 6:16Speaker 2: of twenty twenty four and laid it on her heart.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Even her husband had been encouraging her because he's an author.
- 6:24Speaker 2: He's wrote several books. He's throwing children books now, but
- 6:30Speaker 2: he's done books, and he was encouraging her to do
- 6:33Speaker 2: a book. She decided to step out on faith. When
- 6:37Speaker 2: he laid it on her heart. She believed that she
- 6:39Speaker 2: could do it, and she stepped out on faith. And
- 6:41Speaker 2: God is definitely opening doors for her. He is allowing
- 6:45Speaker 2: her to come forth. This weekend, she's going to be sharing.
- 6:48Speaker 2: We're going to be down and Grove Town, Georgia, right
- 6:53Speaker 2: outside of Augusta and we are going to be sharing,
- 6:58Speaker 2: We're going to be allowing her brand to speak. She's
- 7:03Speaker 2: gonna have an opportunity to share some of her books.
- 7:06Speaker 2: We're gonna have an opportunity to meet with some people
- 7:10Speaker 2: while we're there. We hope to get out and go
- 7:13Speaker 2: visit some bookstores, you know, just see what's going on
- 7:19Speaker 2: within the community, because you have that opportunity, y'all, every
- 7:22Speaker 2: time you go out and and and do something in
- 7:24Speaker 2: the community, if you even when you're traveling, y'ah, y'all
- 7:28Speaker 2: have the opportunity to visit people, to talk to people,
- 7:31Speaker 2: to just have a conversation, Like you can just have
- 7:34Speaker 2: a normal conversation with somebody about your book. It don't
- 7:37Speaker 2: always have to be a long, drawled out presentation, like
- 7:42Speaker 2: you can just have a conversation. You can just drop
- 7:45Speaker 2: a nugget, like drop a sentence out the book. It
- 7:48Speaker 2: don't have to be the whole book, but you can
- 7:50Speaker 2: always incorporate something about your book to let people know that, hey,
- 7:55Speaker 2: I got this. You know, I got this over here
- 7:58Speaker 2: if you need it, you know. But y'all, I'm excited,
- 8:03Speaker 2: I'm grateful on this morning. I'm really about to jump
- 8:06Speaker 2: off here because I got to get on this magazine.
- 8:08Speaker 2: I'm almost done, I had. I was waiting on a
- 8:11Speaker 2: couple entries, So I'm getting ready to wrap it up.
- 8:16Speaker 2: Hopefully it'll be up before twelve big night. Uh, it'll
- 8:23Speaker 2: be up before twelve minute, not y'all. Hopefully it'll be
- 8:25Speaker 2: up way before that. But just give me a little
- 8:29Speaker 2: while to finish the last little brushing up and the
- 8:35Speaker 2: walk through and then we're gonna get it on up
- 8:39Speaker 2: there for y'all. Because it's almost done. It's almost done.
- 8:42Speaker 2: It's almost done. I was just waiting on a couple
- 8:44Speaker 2: of people to submit their entries. Of course we are.
- 8:50Speaker 2: This is our poetry Awareness issue where we're gonna be
- 8:54Speaker 2: dropping it on April the first, y'all. So we're trying
- 8:57Speaker 2: to make sure that we get this magazine up so
- 9:02Speaker 2: the individuals that want to, you know, share what's going
- 9:08Speaker 2: on with what they got going on, they can get
- 9:11Speaker 2: it shared out and all of that. Because for y'all
- 9:15Speaker 2: that don't know some of these poets, y'all, y'all, we
- 9:18Speaker 2: got some amazing poets that sit amongst us. Y'all better
- 9:23Speaker 2: stop slipping on some of these people. I'm telling you, you
- 9:25Speaker 2: better stop slipping on some of these people. I have
- 9:29Speaker 2: to give a shout out. I cannot. I will be
- 9:33Speaker 2: remissed to not give a shout out to those twenty
- 9:36Speaker 2: poets that decided to share inside of my anthology. Y'all.
- 9:42Speaker 2: I turned fifty in twelve days and on April the fifth,
- 9:50Speaker 2: seventeen days, y'all, we're gonna be having a prayer breakfast,
- 9:54Speaker 2: a book stop slash they pull because my nephew is
- 10:01Speaker 2: really stepping out the box. He really going out out
- 10:04Speaker 2: for his auntie. Y'all. We're gonna have a photo booth.
- 10:07Speaker 2: We're gonna have opportunity to really take some pictures and
- 10:09Speaker 2: showcase that that we are doing. So I want to
- 10:12Speaker 2: encourage y'all to come on out, come on out, and
- 10:15Speaker 2: be a part of what we got going on.
- 10:17Speaker 1: Now.
- 10:17Speaker 2: I'm getting ready to go live on substack because now
- 10:20Speaker 2: that's my new platform. If y'all not over there, y'all
- 10:22Speaker 2: need to get on over there, because I'm telling you
- 10:25Speaker 2: I'm enjoying it. I am enjoying it, y'all. Creative interview.
- 10:48Speaker 2: Let me see. I don't know what that was, but
- 10:51Speaker 2: I always get a Dean. It's always a dan. It
- 10:55Speaker 2: always stopped. I don't know what that is. Hold on, y'all,
- 11:22Speaker 2: I'm coming. I'm coming right back, y'all. I'm trying to
- 11:26Speaker 2: go live on this what's the name? And I got
- 11:29Speaker 2: to put a head in on here. I should have
- 11:31Speaker 2: been did this before I came on with y'all. But hey, y'all, Hey, y'all,
- 11:35Speaker 2: come on, come on. So I just wanted to share
- 11:39Speaker 2: that I truly was excited about that. So again, to
- 11:43Speaker 2: the person, the person that nominated me, thank you, Thank
- 11:48Speaker 2: you so much. I truly truly appreciate you for thinking
- 11:53Speaker 2: about me, for nominating me for that. It is truly
- 12:00Speaker 2: truly appreciate it. Because sometimes you don't think that you
- 12:02Speaker 2: are appreciated. But when somebody dropped that that little nugget
- 12:06Speaker 2: and say, hey, look we see you, we see you,
- 12:11Speaker 2: I'm appreciated. I'm appreciative. I am truly appreciative. If I'm
- 12:15Speaker 2: trying to see if I have a picture of the book,
- 12:18Speaker 2: because y'all, I've been googling, and y'all can google for yourself,
- 12:23Speaker 2: but you can google and check us out. Y'all. We
- 12:26Speaker 2: are in three bookstores so far, and the book hadn't
- 12:31Speaker 2: even dropped it, y'all. We dropped on April the first.
- 12:35Speaker 2: It is called Crowning Glory, A Journey of Grace and Wisdom.
- 12:40Speaker 2: It is a poetry collection twenty individuals, men and females.
- 12:48Speaker 2: There were two males and the rest were females. They
- 12:51Speaker 2: decided to share their voice inside of this poetry collection,
- 12:56Speaker 2: bringing homage to my birthday. I turned fifty. So some
- 12:59Speaker 2: of the celebrated me. Some of them just celebrated grace
- 13:02Speaker 2: and just celebrated wisdom. And I'm excited because, y'all, we
- 13:07Speaker 2: are in a bookstore in Mexico. We're in a bookstore
- 13:11Speaker 2: in Australia. We are in a bookstrow in Canada already,
- 13:16Speaker 2: and we not even dropped. We have not even dropped yet,
- 13:21Speaker 2: but we are in these bookstores. We drop on April
- 13:26Speaker 2: the first, So y'all, I want to encourage you guys
- 13:29Speaker 2: to make sure that you go out and support us.
- 13:34Speaker 2: We drop on April the first. The book was the
- 13:37Speaker 2: e book was ninety nine cent. Now it has went
- 13:41Speaker 2: up to five dollars. I think five fifty five, y'all
- 13:44Speaker 2: when it dropped the day of that drop is gonna
- 13:47Speaker 2: drop for nine dollars and ninety nine cent. So I
- 13:49Speaker 2: want to encourage you guys to go ahead and grab
- 13:53Speaker 2: that book. Get it so it can be downloaded, so
- 13:59Speaker 2: it can be in reserve, so that they can go
- 14:01Speaker 2: ahead and download it like all those that got it
- 14:04Speaker 2: when it was ninety nine cent. Kudos to you. Shout
- 14:07Speaker 2: out to you because guess what you helped made us
- 14:10Speaker 2: a number one best selling new release. So shout out
- 14:14Speaker 2: to all of the poets that's a part of this. Again, y'all,
- 14:19Speaker 2: I'm excited because I actually have already ordered my book.
- 14:25Speaker 2: I have them here. I am going out this weekend again.
- 14:30Speaker 2: I'm gonna be down in Grovetown, Georgia, which Shaniya showcase
- 14:36Speaker 2: in her book. I'm gonna have a couple of my
- 14:37Speaker 2: books on the table as well. Y'all. It's just gonna
- 14:41Speaker 2: be a great time to celebrate. So I'm gonna be
- 14:43Speaker 2: out there celebrating with her. So I'm gonna have some
- 14:45Speaker 2: of these books, gonna have some of the literary works
- 14:48Speaker 2: that I have done, because y'all, I looked through Amazon,
- 14:52Speaker 2: Amazona say, I got one hundred and thirty one titles
- 14:56Speaker 2: listed through them, So one hundred and thirty one. I'm grateful.
- 15:00Speaker 2: I am truly grateful to just be able to share
- 15:05Speaker 2: and just coming off that zoom call and having that
- 15:09Speaker 2: opportunity to share with possibly high school students, possibly entering
- 15:15Speaker 2: college students, those that are coming in and deciding to
- 15:20Speaker 2: go to creative route, just hoping that something that I've
- 15:24Speaker 2: shared will be able to inspire them to keep them
- 15:27Speaker 2: on this journey, y'all. Just fifteen minutes, that's all it took.
- 15:32Speaker 2: And the things that I share with you guys, the
- 15:35Speaker 2: things that I share inside of the group. I even
- 15:38Speaker 2: talked about the one hundred author movement. They asked me
- 15:42Speaker 2: what was one of my greatest accomplishments one of the
- 15:45Speaker 2: things that I was working on, And I told them
- 15:47Speaker 2: right now what we're working on and what we're trying
- 15:50Speaker 2: to do, the space that we are trying to provide,
- 15:54Speaker 2: the opportunity that we are trying to provide. I'm not
- 15:56Speaker 2: gonna stop talking about it, even those that are a
- 15:59Speaker 2: part that you know, you truly you really not there yet.
- 16:03Speaker 2: You know, before it's all said and done, you gonna
- 16:05Speaker 2: truly all You're gonna be all the way there, or
- 16:08Speaker 2: you're gonna decide to lead, you know. And I'm gonna
- 16:10Speaker 2: keep putting it out there because it is what it
- 16:13Speaker 2: is today. It just affirmed the things that had been
- 16:17Speaker 2: down in my spirit and the things that you know,
- 16:19Speaker 2: God had been showing me. So I'm at peace now.
- 16:25Speaker 2: I'm at a place where I can, you know, just
- 16:29Speaker 2: enjoy the moment. So I'm about to get over here.
- 16:32Speaker 2: I'm about to lay back and work on this magazine.
- 16:36Speaker 2: You know that keep chasing people and asking people to
- 16:40Speaker 2: be I ain't doing that no more, y'all. So if
- 16:44Speaker 2: I ever asked you to do something and it takes
- 16:47Speaker 2: you five days, six days, seven days, know that now,
- 16:50Speaker 2: huh that I'm gonna start moving on that. There there
- 16:55Speaker 2: are other people I see, y'all. There are other people,
- 16:59Speaker 2: not even and on Facebook, not even on social media.
- 17:04Speaker 2: But y'all, they out here in these real streets. They
- 17:07Speaker 2: out here in these schools, they out here in these universities,
- 17:11Speaker 2: they out here in these high schools, they out here
- 17:12Speaker 2: in these middle schools, and they want to be a part,
- 17:15Speaker 2: They want to be a voice. When we have individuals,
- 17:20Speaker 2: they have the opportunity that's sitting right there in the midst.
- 17:24Speaker 2: They don't even realize what they have in the midst
- 17:27Speaker 2: of them. Y'all don't even realize a lot of y'all
- 17:30Speaker 2: that's sitting on the one hundred out the movement right now,
- 17:32Speaker 2: y'all don't even realize who sits amongst y'all. Y'all got
- 17:35Speaker 2: a man that's that's that's getting acculates all over the
- 17:38Speaker 2: state of Alabama. That's getting recognized nationally in magazines and
- 17:44Speaker 2: in newsletters and in journals. Not just this stuff we
- 17:49Speaker 2: see on Facebook, but national recognize educational stuff that that
- 17:57Speaker 2: that people that are in the educational field of looking at.
- 18:01Speaker 2: But y'all slipping on the people that sit amongst you.
- 18:05Speaker 2: Keep slipping, keep slipping, Keep allowing that that's right there
- 18:11Speaker 2: in your miss that you have that that you can touch,
- 18:17Speaker 2: that you can reach out. Let it slip. Let it
- 18:20Speaker 2: keep slipping on past you. But then y'all keep asking
- 18:24Speaker 2: the question, how we can market? Look at some of
- 18:31Speaker 2: the challenges. It'll show you how to market. Do some
- 18:35Speaker 2: of the challenges you'll experience. How to market ain't something
- 18:40Speaker 2: that somebody told me, y'all, something that I had experienced,
- 18:45Speaker 2: something that I've done for myself. Like all the stuff
- 18:49Speaker 2: that I'm doing, I've done it. I'm learning in classes
- 18:55Speaker 2: to y'all. I graduated. Now I'm about to walk with
- 18:59Speaker 2: my masters. I'm just waiting on my final grade. It's
- 19:03Speaker 2: say A ninety eight, but I don't know if that's
- 19:05Speaker 2: the final grade. I'm waiting on my final grade. Either way,
- 19:08Speaker 2: it go, y'all. I gotta a and in all my classes,
- 19:12Speaker 2: I gotta a. Y'all can go look at look at
- 19:14Speaker 2: my transcript. I'm not telling y'all nothing that I wouldn't
- 19:22Speaker 2: do for myself, because I'm I'm I'm I'm an author,
- 19:27Speaker 2: I'm a podcaster. Like I'm out here trying to get
- 19:30Speaker 2: it too. I'm not here trying to make a name.
- 19:33Speaker 2: I'm trying out here trying to make a legacy too,
- 19:36Speaker 2: make a difference, be the change. Like all that that
- 19:40Speaker 2: I tell you, I'm trying to do too, I'm not.
- 19:45Speaker 2: I'm not. I'm not asking for your first born. I'm
- 19:48Speaker 2: not asking to dance or saying that you're wining. I
- 19:53Speaker 2: just want you to know that you didn't get dropped
- 19:56Speaker 2: out of the sky, That that that that you have
- 19:59Speaker 2: a work, that you have a value, and that's just
- 20:03Speaker 2: something that you're supposed to be doing, and you're supposed
- 20:06Speaker 2: to be packed in life. You can't wait for everybody
- 20:08Speaker 2: else around you, So if if everybody in your group
- 20:11Speaker 2: not doing something, then you do something by yourself. You
- 20:15Speaker 2: you you host a a a a a virtual or
- 20:20Speaker 2: something other by yourself. All you have to do is
- 20:23Speaker 2: let us know what you wanna do, and we'll help
- 20:27Speaker 2: you make it happen. Because guess what, we're not finna
- 20:30Speaker 2: keep waiting on the next person to do something to
- 20:33Speaker 2: see what we're gonna do. Those that wanna do we
- 20:37Speaker 2: about to start doing, and the rest of them they're
- 20:39Speaker 2: gonna be left behind because guess what, they'll be still
- 20:43Speaker 2: sitting over there in that chat and we'll be on
- 20:45Speaker 2: to another one. Oh, I'm back. I'm out of school, y'all.
- 20:53Speaker 2: I'm back, and as soon as I go get this
- 20:56Speaker 2: new phone, I'm really gonna be back. So those that
- 20:59Speaker 2: they it for me, huh, she's back, she's bad. School's
- 21:12Speaker 2: out now, y'all. And I don't even know if I'm
- 21:15Speaker 2: going for the second masters right now. It may be
- 21:19Speaker 2: put on hold for a couple of months because I'm
- 21:23Speaker 2: back and it's time for me to get those one
- 21:25Speaker 2: hundred octors a part of this movement, and all those
- 21:30Speaker 2: that don't want to move, it's time to move on
- 21:33Speaker 2: without you. So I'm back. So it's time for y'all
- 21:38Speaker 2: to wake up. All y'all leaders that's ready to lead.

- 22:43Speaker 2: The first quarter is over. The first quarter is over.
- 22:48Speaker 2: What can we honestly say that we have done that
- 22:51Speaker 2: we said we was gonna do. I'm waiting because see
- 22:55Speaker 2: a lot of y'all know wrote down some resolutions. Huh, y'all,
- 22:59Speaker 2: everybody our right got the New Year's resolution when it's
- 23:02Speaker 2: not even really New Year's. New Year's don't even come
- 23:04Speaker 2: to April first. If you want to tell the truth,
- 23:06Speaker 2: Let's tell the truth and see that why they want
- 23:08Speaker 2: to say April fools because they want to say that
- 23:10Speaker 2: they know food y'all all those years. But okay, and
- 23:13Speaker 2: if y'all want to know that, you're gonna over there
- 23:14Speaker 2: to TikTok. It's a little white lady, that older, little
- 23:16Speaker 2: white lady that always be talking about it, and she
- 23:19Speaker 2: knows she's telling the truth. So I'm just gonna put
- 23:22Speaker 2: it out there for those that keep on hollering they
- 23:24Speaker 2: got their New Year's resolution. So I'm sure y'all wrote
- 23:26Speaker 2: some New Year's resolutions down. So I'm waiting. Let me
- 23:30Speaker 2: see the post, Charlotte, what was one of your New
- 23:32Speaker 2: Year's resolutions? Who else on here? Let me see who
- 23:35Speaker 2: else on here? Oh? Yeah, we doing it today, y'all.
- 23:39Speaker 2: I got time for it today. I told y I'm
- 23:41Speaker 2: out of school. We can wait. Share, y'all shared with somebody,
- 23:44Speaker 2: Invite some more people to come on in. Oh, y'all.
- 23:49Speaker 2: I'm over here on substack to y'all. We live. Oh yeah,
- 23:52Speaker 2: we live, we live, Oh yeah, we live. I don't
- 24:18Speaker 2: do the US resolution no more. Our good great, I'm that.
- 24:22Speaker 2: I thank you. Better do you a vision board. If
- 24:34Speaker 2: you ain't got a vision board, you better do your
- 24:36Speaker 2: a vision board. That's what you need to do. Do
- 24:38Speaker 2: you a vision board. I forgot how many days we do,
- 24:44Speaker 2: but we do. We do that too. Better get you
- 24:48Speaker 2: a vision board. Better get something that you can put
- 24:50Speaker 2: down on paper so that you can that the the
- 24:52Speaker 2: word say right the vision to make it plain. So
- 24:55Speaker 2: if you ain't gonna write it out, then then then
- 24:59Speaker 2: then put it on the vision boy and then you
- 25:01Speaker 2: want to see, Like y'all, I'm telling you, and that
- 25:03Speaker 2: nobody told me was something that I seen for myself
- 25:06Speaker 2: a young lady. When I first started doing a lot
- 25:10Speaker 2: of the stuff that I do, I started out by
- 25:11Speaker 2: doing after school program. In the summer program, I think
- 25:13Speaker 2: me and Shaquina Galloway from Anderson, South Carolina, we had
- 25:17Speaker 2: a summer program about thirty kids. Y'all see all of
- 25:21Speaker 2: the pictures floating around if you go back and look
- 25:23Speaker 2: at my page. Back in twenty seventeen twenty sixteen. You'll
- 25:28Speaker 2: see some of the stuff that we did. I used
- 25:30Speaker 2: to do food services, work for this nonprofit called Freedom
- 25:33Speaker 2: with their walls. I used to help with different camps
- 25:37Speaker 2: and just different stuff. So we did a lot. I
- 25:40Speaker 2: worked with at Awana. Yeah, I did a lot with children.
- 25:44Speaker 2: So doing that allowed me the opportunity to start doing books.
- 25:47Speaker 2: I think there was a lady named Teresa out of
- 25:49Speaker 2: Texas that asked me to be a part of an anthology.
- 25:52Speaker 2: That was my first start, and that was in twenty
- 25:54Speaker 2: sixteen when I was working with the kids, and I
- 25:57Speaker 2: think I shared in their anthology. And then from there, y'all,
- 26:01Speaker 2: I've been writing ever since. I took an opportunity to
- 26:13Speaker 2: all Right, she got hup. They got a system in place,
- 26:16Speaker 2: she said, that's what what what I do? She said,
- 26:18Speaker 2: I write it down, My husband and I signed off
- 26:21Speaker 2: on it. That's that's what you gotta do when you're married. Y'all,
- 26:24Speaker 2: y'all write the vision and make it plain, and then
- 26:26Speaker 2: y'all work towards that thing together. That's that's what you
- 26:29Speaker 2: gotta do. And we all should be writing down, right
- 26:32Speaker 2: down what you want to do and then checking out
- 26:34Speaker 2: stuff as it come to pass. So you know that
- 26:37Speaker 2: as you check it out, you can start putting something
- 26:39Speaker 2: that's down because he gonna keep giving it to you.
- 26:41Speaker 2: He ain't gonna stop once you accomplish something, y'all. He
- 26:43Speaker 2: gonna keep dropping stuff in your spirit. He gonna keep
- 26:46Speaker 2: dropping things in your spirit for you to do. That's
- 26:48Speaker 2: why you should keep writing it down, y'all. I gotta
- 26:51Speaker 2: I got a notebook, I got a journal. I got
- 26:53Speaker 2: all kind of little notebooks that I just keep jotting
- 26:55Speaker 2: stuff down on that I write stuff down on. Because
- 26:58Speaker 2: all that stuff that he be giving me, y'all, he
- 26:59Speaker 2: don't even for me half of the time. It be
- 27:01Speaker 2: for all of the people around me. Like it's so
- 27:05Speaker 2: many things right now that he keep dropping in my
- 27:07Speaker 2: spirit that I know is not for me. But the
- 27:09Speaker 2: people that I keep trying to give stuff to, it's
- 27:13Speaker 2: like they keep trying to give it back to me.
- 27:14Speaker 2: So I said, you know what, well, hold on, Lord,
- 27:17Speaker 2: let me see what they're doing. So I might have
- 27:19Speaker 2: to hold this off and hold on to the next person,
- 27:21Speaker 2: that the next person come through and let the next
- 27:22Speaker 2: person do it. So because we not feeling I be
- 27:26Speaker 2: trying to be obedient but I know it's not for me,
- 27:29Speaker 2: so I'm holding on to I'm holding on to it.
- 27:32Speaker 2: I'm holding on to it, y'all. If y'all haven't got,
- 27:35Speaker 2: y'all some signs for y'all events and you are a
- 27:37Speaker 2: part of that, you're a part of our group, y'all.
- 27:42Speaker 2: That post that I posted with them signs on it,
- 27:45Speaker 2: the white one, the one right here, The one right here, y'all.
- 27:50Speaker 2: This one is the one that I ordered from them.
- 27:53Speaker 2: It came from them. It is nice, y'all. I like it.
- 27:56Speaker 2: It is a little shorter than this one. This one
- 28:00Speaker 2: I ordered some years ago through Vista Print, and y'all
- 28:04Speaker 2: know Vista Print have so they always having some nice sales.
- 28:07Speaker 2: But this one, it's a little shorter. It is about
- 28:10Speaker 2: this much shorter than the other one. I think this
- 28:12Speaker 2: one is actually a tenth maybe I don't know. It's
- 28:17Speaker 2: taller than me. It almost touched the ceiling. I almost
- 28:20Speaker 2: heated in the ceiling fan when I was setting it up.
- 28:24Speaker 2: So y'all definitely checked on getting some of these things,
- 28:27Speaker 2: and now it's the time to get them. Especially they
- 28:31Speaker 2: always having specials during tax season for some reason, everybody,
- 28:36Speaker 2: I don't know why. They think we'll be getting a
- 28:38Speaker 2: whole bunch of money during tax season, or if we
- 28:40Speaker 2: get money half of the time, some of us be
- 28:42Speaker 2: hoping that we ain't got to pay nothing back, and
- 28:44Speaker 2: they be thinking we be getting money and thinking we
- 28:46Speaker 2: over here sitting on sitting on bank. That's what a lot
- 28:49Speaker 2: of people be thinking, because that's what a lot of
- 28:50Speaker 2: people think about me. But I ain't sitting on a bank,
- 28:53Speaker 2: just so you know. But anyway, y'all, these are some
- 28:57Speaker 2: great tools to have, even for yo at home podcast,
- 29:02Speaker 2: for when you do stuff at home. When you go live,
- 29:06Speaker 2: sometimes people don't always want to show what's going on
- 29:08Speaker 2: in their background. They don't always want their background showing.
- 29:11Speaker 2: So to have these up and to have this it
- 29:13Speaker 2: also shows your brand. It shows people what you're doing.
- 29:17Speaker 2: Everybody knows that this is what this is what I
- 29:19Speaker 2: do this right here. It basically has my link tree.
- 29:22Speaker 2: It has different stuff that you know, people can see
- 29:24Speaker 2: so they know, hey, that is her, you know, and
- 29:28Speaker 2: then when you see me in person and you see, hey,
- 29:30Speaker 2: that that was her, that's the same person that was
- 29:31Speaker 2: on them lives because a lot of time people be
- 29:34Speaker 2: like they aren't the same person. Yeah, I mean all
- 29:36Speaker 2: the time, and you gonna see that. But check out
- 29:41Speaker 2: that space. It's I send it a while back, so
- 29:45Speaker 2: if you're inside the chat, you're gonna have to scroll
- 29:48Speaker 2: up and look. But this right here, I think it
- 29:52Speaker 2: was like fifty dollars. But it is definitely something that
- 29:58Speaker 2: you need to tap into. Need to tap into it.
- 30:03Speaker 2: You need, y'all always. You should have one for when
- 30:07Speaker 2: you having lives and stuff at home so people can
- 30:10Speaker 2: start seeing your brand when you when you when you
- 30:14Speaker 2: going live and you doing this stuff, people can see
- 30:17Speaker 2: your brand. And then you also can take the same
- 30:21Speaker 2: banner when you go to events and set it up
- 30:24Speaker 2: at your table on the side of your table. These
- 30:27Speaker 2: these are the same things I use when I go
- 30:30Speaker 2: to my events. I also have a tablecloth that has
- 30:35Speaker 2: my AA L A C. It has that logo up
- 30:39Speaker 2: there that y'all see up there in the corner, that's
- 30:42Speaker 2: on there, and then it has the African American OCO
- 30:44Speaker 2: Literacy or whatever and everything that you see right here
- 30:46Speaker 2: it's on there as well, so that's on there. And
- 30:49Speaker 2: then I have these smaller they're smaller ones. And I
- 30:54Speaker 2: was telling Shania, and these are some good things to
- 30:57Speaker 2: have to y'all. Y'all know I'm always dropping some stuff
- 31:00Speaker 2: that you need to have, and this is to brand
- 31:02Speaker 2: your stuff. You can get these little small ones stay
- 31:05Speaker 2: about this size. If y'all want to hold on a second,
- 31:07Speaker 2: I'll grab them for you so I can show y'all
- 31:09Speaker 2: what i'm talking about, because I actually made something for someone.
- 31:12Speaker 2: Hold on a second, y'all, let me grab it for you.
- 31:30Speaker 2: I'm coming, y'all. I can't remember why I put it back,
- 31:47Speaker 2: but I know I got them, so I'm coming, y'all.
- 31:50Speaker 2: Hold on this a second. What did I do with them?
- 32:10Speaker 2: I don't know what I did with them, y'all. And
- 32:14Speaker 2: for one other place, they gotta be in here, and
- 32:18Speaker 2: there they are.
- 32:20Speaker 3: And I got a couple of more things that i'm
- 32:22Speaker 3: gonna show y'all that y'all can use, that y'all can
- 32:24Speaker 3: get for advertisement. So y'all can show y'all brands and
- 32:29Speaker 3: stuff things that I have acquired over the year.
- 32:35Speaker 2: So I'm back. So I got these things too. Thank
- 32:40Speaker 2: you for hanging on and hanging out. So this is
- 32:45Speaker 2: just some things that I have on my table. So
- 32:48Speaker 2: you can get these little things like this that you
- 32:50Speaker 2: can sit on your table. And this is when I
- 32:53Speaker 2: first started it with my very first book, that was
- 32:56Speaker 2: The Fair first very two first books I did. So
- 33:00Speaker 2: it's just a little thing that you can sit on
- 33:01Speaker 2: your table. It's just cardboard and they have these on
- 33:05Speaker 2: Vista print. And then they have these posters that you
- 33:11Speaker 2: can get that it's good also to have if you
- 33:18Speaker 2: do events, you can have them hanging up in your
- 33:21Speaker 2: area about your books, if you go into places to
- 33:25Speaker 2: just post up for a little while. These are some
- 33:28Speaker 2: good things that you can have. If you don't always
- 33:30Speaker 2: want to be lugging your banners around, you can have these.
- 33:34Speaker 2: And these are and these are some smaller banners some
- 33:39Speaker 2: things that I get. And y'all, when y'all hear the price,
- 33:42Speaker 2: y'all gonna want to run and grab these. So I
- 33:45Speaker 2: this is one that I've done for the Free Texas campaign.
- 33:48Speaker 2: And these are the sizes. This is the actual scene.
- 33:52Speaker 2: And see how it looks up against So you can
- 33:58Speaker 2: hang them up. You can lay them on your table
- 34:01Speaker 2: and they can hang down in front of your table.
- 34:05Speaker 2: Normally I will fold it down like this and I'll
- 34:08Speaker 2: put books or something heavy on on the top of it,
- 34:12Speaker 2: and it just leaned just leaning over the table. I
- 34:18Speaker 2: have several of those as you can see, so you
- 34:22Speaker 2: can have different ones and you can have them hanging
- 34:25Speaker 2: around your different local, different areas of your event. So
- 34:31Speaker 2: these are different little things that you can have to
- 34:36Speaker 2: bring some awareness to what you're doing at your events.
- 34:40Speaker 2: And then of course you want to have your thing.
- 34:43Speaker 2: And another thing to you may want to invest in
- 34:47Speaker 2: is a backdrop stand you because you know you're gonna
- 34:53Speaker 2: be changing backdrops probably unless you're gonna have the same
- 34:56Speaker 2: backdrop all the time. But having a backdrop stand it's
- 35:01Speaker 2: a must because you don't have to be and it's
- 35:03Speaker 2: something that you can fold up and take with you.
- 35:05Speaker 2: So if you travel and do events, you can take
- 35:08Speaker 2: it with you and you'll have it, and then you
- 35:11Speaker 2: can you don't have to worry about renting it from
- 35:15Speaker 2: renting it when you go uh buying stuff and leaving
- 35:18Speaker 2: it with people when you go into these different things.
- 35:21Speaker 2: Like most of the stuff that I got, I can
- 35:24Speaker 2: I can travel with. I can pack it in a
- 35:26Speaker 2: suitcase like most of my signs. If I want to
- 35:30Speaker 2: put all of my signs in a suitcase and let
- 35:33Speaker 2: that be everything in one suitcase. Normally I don't travel
- 35:38Speaker 2: with books. The last couple of times I didn't travel
- 35:41Speaker 2: with signage. Only thing I traveled with was like a
- 35:45Speaker 2: tablecloth because individual had most of the signage and stuff
- 35:50Speaker 2: produced where we were and we left it. So when
- 35:54Speaker 2: we do the next event, it'll be there. And and
- 35:57Speaker 2: that's what we're probably gonna do for a lot of
- 35:59Speaker 2: these these events, because we don't plan on this just
- 36:02Speaker 2: being the first event, the first and the last event.
- 36:04Speaker 2: We plan on wherever we go it being a yearly event.
- 36:09Speaker 2: So I encourage everyone to try to get involved and
- 36:18Speaker 2: hopefully organizing something to come to your area and working
- 36:22Speaker 2: with your group leaders to work on events. Y'all, we
- 36:28Speaker 2: got eight groups right now. That means we have eight
- 36:31Speaker 2: opportunities to have eight live events where we all can
- 36:35Speaker 2: come together and support each other in eight different locations.
- 36:40Speaker 2: That that's if we want to work together and do that, y'all,
- 36:43Speaker 2: we can do that. It's an opportunity for all of
- 36:46Speaker 2: us to allow our brands to speak and be heard. Well,
- 36:52Speaker 2: I mean, what's stopping us? But again, we got air
- 36:58Speaker 2: an opportunity to do our things, So it's up to us,
- 37:02Speaker 2: and I'm gonna put it out there. I'm here to
- 37:05Speaker 2: help and insist. Can that be ordered? Through Vista Print, which, yeah,
- 37:10Speaker 2: everything I just showed you came from Vista Print. Everything
- 37:14Speaker 2: came from Vista Print except for this sign right here.
- 37:18Speaker 2: This is the only sign that did not come from
- 37:20Speaker 2: Vista Print. Everything else came from Vista Print. I told y'all,
- 37:24Speaker 2: I'm telling y'all everything I want y'all to know. So
- 37:26Speaker 2: when people started talking about they can do y'all signs
- 37:28Speaker 2: for you, y'all go over there to Vista Print. And
- 37:30Speaker 2: if it's cheaper than what they say, y'all better do
- 37:33Speaker 2: it y'allself. And if you need help, y'all better call me.
- 37:35Speaker 2: Because all this stuff, y'all see, I did my own
- 37:39Speaker 2: I designed my own stuff, and they printed it and
- 37:42Speaker 2: shifted it to me, and I got it in no time.
- 37:45Speaker 2: I ordered stuff for an event we did out in Texas,
- 37:49Speaker 2: had it shift to Texas, It got there with no problem.
- 37:54Speaker 2: So if y'all want signage like this that y'all can
- 37:56Speaker 2: hang up around your rooms when y'all go to events, here,
- 38:01Speaker 2: you go Vista Print if you want, and they have
- 38:05Speaker 2: all of them. They got all sizes so you can
- 38:07Speaker 2: get the longer sizes, and then they have the the
- 38:11Speaker 2: side the stuff that you can clip to it that
- 38:14Speaker 2: you can hang it. They like, I forget the names
- 38:16Speaker 2: of them, but they have all of that. So if
- 38:18Speaker 2: you want to clip it to something and hang it,
- 38:20Speaker 2: you can hang it along the walls and stuff. I
- 38:22Speaker 2: got little clamps on that I hang them on. I
- 38:25Speaker 2: hang them on some little that little what's the name
- 38:30Speaker 2: wire around the walls, and I just clamp them on
- 38:33Speaker 2: that and then I hon know we have we have
- 38:37Speaker 2: it going on. I'll tell you. So get y'all some
- 38:42Speaker 2: stuff to bring your own stuff and to get your
- 38:46Speaker 2: But that's all I got. And again, y'all, shout out
- 38:48Speaker 2: to that person that nominated me for that award that
- 38:53Speaker 2: uh that opportunity to share. I truly thank you because
- 38:58Speaker 2: it was truly amazing that you thought of someone other
- 39:01Speaker 2: than yourself, that you would think of me as a
- 39:05Speaker 2: creative professional experiences creative professional, y'all. I just started doing
- 39:14Speaker 2: this really in twenty twenty. But to God be the glory.
- 39:17Speaker 2: I give him all the honor and all the credit
- 39:20Speaker 2: for all the things that has transpired. So hey, it
- 39:25Speaker 2: is what it is. Anyway, y'all, thank you for tuning in.
- 39:29Speaker 2: If anything that I've shared today has been a blessing,
- 39:31Speaker 2: to you. I want you to share it with somebody. Y'all.
- 39:34Speaker 2: Tonight we have I think doctor Chen is on tonight,
- 39:38Speaker 2: so y'all come on back tonight join us. We do
- 39:42Speaker 2: not have anyone. I'm not interviewing anyone today at six,
- 39:45Speaker 2: So I got some videos I gotta upload, So, y'all,
- 39:49Speaker 2: I'm about to get to work. I got this magazine
- 39:50Speaker 2: that I got to finish today, so I'm about to
- 39:53Speaker 2: get over here and get to work on that. I truly,
- 39:56Speaker 2: truly appreciate each and every one of you guys that
- 39:58Speaker 2: support the things that we do. Again, shout out to
- 40:01Speaker 2: all those that are a part of Crowning Glory, a
- 40:06Speaker 2: journey of grace and wisdom. Y'all, y'all in Mexico, y'all
- 40:11Speaker 2: in Australia, y'all in Canada, and y'all, the book ain't
- 40:15Speaker 2: even release yet. The book released on April the first.
- 40:19Speaker 2: If you want a copy, y'all get with some of
- 40:21Speaker 2: these authors. Some of them have already ordered their books,
- 40:25Speaker 2: some have received their books already, some of them are
- 40:28Speaker 2: on the way. And the book ain't even released officially yet,
- 40:32Speaker 2: but y'all were getting them in our hands early so
- 40:35Speaker 2: that we can have them when they release so that
- 40:38Speaker 2: we can get them to y'all. So if you want
- 40:40Speaker 2: to order a book y'all ordered from the author, don't
- 40:44Speaker 2: go over to Amazon and order from Amazon. They're taking
- 40:48Speaker 2: all our money. Order from us. Look we go. We
- 40:51Speaker 2: don't pay Amazon for they for the for the book,
- 40:54Speaker 2: and now you can get it from us, and then
- 40:55Speaker 2: we can make our money which Amazon is making off
- 40:58Speaker 2: of us. But we will make the money if y'all
- 41:01Speaker 2: buy it from us. So go look at it over
- 41:04Speaker 2: there and then come on over here and buy you
- 41:06Speaker 2: because if you go over there and spend thirty dollars,
- 41:08Speaker 2: we only gonna get probably two dollars of that. So
- 41:14Speaker 2: get the hardcover for thirty dollars and at least we'll
- 41:17Speaker 2: make some money we won't get for two dollars if
- 41:22Speaker 2: you buy it on Amazon. So buy it from us,

- 43:50Speaker 2: about the prayer line. Yes, everything that's attached to me
- 43:55Speaker 2: got talked about. And that's everywhere I go. I'm by

- 44:28Speaker 2: pour it into other people. I like to allow other
- 44:32Speaker 2: people to get some of these accolades too, because that's
- 44:36Speaker 2: what we're supposed to be. Were supposed to be helpmates,
- 44:38Speaker 2: one to another. So that's what I do. Again, thank
- 44:44Speaker 2: you to the person that nominated me. But because of
- 44:46Speaker 2: your nomination, I just told everybody about the one hundred

- 45:55Speaker 2: He giving us power. You ain't overcome just to be sitting.
- 46:02Speaker 2: You overcame because you decided to be a wheeling vessel,
