The firstborn set apart and the road out of Egypt · Exodus 13
The firstborn set apart and the road out of Egypt (Exodus 13) read aloud, in a fresh direct translation from the Hebrew - plain modern English, nothing added.
Translator's notes:
• Exodus 13:4 — אָבִיב (aviv): chose "Abib". Alternatives: the month of ripening grain. Why: the Hebrew month name is kept as a name.
• Exodus 13:16 — טוֹטָפֹת (totafot): chose "frontlets". Alternatives: bands; phylacteries. Why: the word's exact original referent is uncertain.
