Federal Prosecutors Investigate Darren Indyke and Richard Kahn Over Epstein Ties (9/24/26) · The Vault: The Epstein Files

• 0:00
Speaker 1: What's up everyone and welcome to another episode of the
• 0:03
Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. Over the past 24 hours, we've had a
• 0:08
Speaker 1: pretty significant development in the investigation into Jeffrey Epstein and
• 0:12
Speaker 1: his organization. And that's because according to the Wall Street Journal,
• 0:17
Speaker 1: Richard Kahn and Darren Indyke are under investigation. And anybody
• 0:23
Speaker 1: who knows anything about Jeffrey Epstein understands that what he
• 0:26
Speaker 1: was up to was something that he could not accomplish...
• 0:29
Speaker 1: without people like Darren Indyke and Richard Kahn being directly
• 0:33
Speaker 1: in the middle of it. Now, I'm not going to
• 0:35
Speaker 1: sit here and tell you that Kahn or Indyke were
• 0:37
Speaker 1: taking part in the abuse, but they most certainly, in
• 0:41
Speaker 1: my opinion, and according to the documentation, were right in
• 0:45
Speaker 1: the middle of making sure that abuse didn't become public,
• 0:48
Speaker 1: and making sure that everything ran smoothly. And when we're
• 0:53
Speaker 1: talking about Darren Indyke especially, I think he's going to
• 0:56
Speaker 1: have some serious problems. We already know that he was structuring.
• 1:00
Speaker 1: We know about the financial issues. And we also know
• 1:04
Speaker 1: that he was in the middle of those sham marriages.
• 1:07
Speaker 1: So if there's a real investigation underway, and according to
• 1:12
Speaker 1: the Wall Street Journal there is, then I would think
• 1:15
Speaker 1: that the jeopardy and the exposure for both of these
• 1:18
Speaker 1: dudes is immense. Now, the only caveat to all of
• 1:21
Speaker 1: that is the fact that this Justice Department hasn't really
• 1:25
Speaker 1: shown that it has any interest in really pursuing Jeffrey
• 1:28
Speaker 1: Epstein's people. So hopefully that's going to change now. And
• 1:33
Speaker 1: maybe they're seeing the writing on the wall when it
• 1:35
Speaker 1: comes to the midterms. And they're saying to themselves, we
• 1:38
Speaker 1: better get out ahead of this. And at this point,
• 1:40
Speaker 1: I think that most people understand that this isn't going away.
• 1:45
Speaker 1: Until there's some sort of resolution here, one way or
• 1:47
Speaker 1: the other, people aren't just going to give up on
• 1:50
Speaker 1: this topic and move on. And the days of the
• 1:53
Speaker 1: story being contained just on the internet Those days are
• 1:55
Speaker 1: over too. So from the perspective of the SDNY, I
• 2:01
Speaker 1: think that it makes a lot of sense to act
• 2:02
Speaker 1: like you're doing something and to initiate this investigation if
• 2:07
Speaker 1: that's what they did. Now, of course, this is just
• 2:10
Speaker 1: going on what we've heard from the Wall Street Journal.
• 2:13
Speaker 1: And the Wall Street Journal has been pretty solid when
• 2:16
Speaker 1: it comes to their Epstein reporting. And I can also
• 2:19
Speaker 1: add to that that the sources that I have say
• 2:23
Speaker 1: that there is a legitimate investigation underway. But besides that,
• 2:27
Speaker 1: we really don't have much more information on where the
• 2:30
Speaker 1: investigation's at, or just how serious it even is. So today,
• 2:35
Speaker 1: we have an article from the Wall Street Journal, and
• 2:38
Speaker 1: this is the article that broke the news. So let's
• 2:41
Speaker 1: dive in, and let's see what the Wall Street Journal
• 2:43
Speaker 1: has to say. Headline, Federal Prosecutors Open Probe Into Jeffrey
• 2:48
Speaker 1: Epstein's Executors Prosecutors have questioned potential witnesses about his longtime
• 2:54
Speaker 1: accountant and lawyer. Both men have denied wrongdoing. This article
• 2:58
Speaker 1: was authored by Khadija Safdar and Joe Palazzolo. Federal authorities
• 3:04
Speaker 1: have opened a probe into Darren Indyk and Richard Kahn,
• 3:06
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein's longtime lawyer and accountant, who are now as
• 3:10
Speaker 1: estate executors, according to people familiar with the matter. And look,
• 3:14
Speaker 1: it was only a matter of time, right? There's so
• 3:18
Speaker 1: much evidence here that it's not even funny And when
• 3:21
Speaker 1: we're talking about Con and Indyke, we're not talking about
• 3:24
Speaker 1: the abuse. Just to, you know, keep that clear, I
• 3:26
Speaker 1: want to make sure that we're pointing that out. Because
• 3:29
Speaker 1: it's important. Everybody had a role to play. And not
• 3:32
Speaker 1: everybody was engaged in the abuse. And when it comes
• 3:35
Speaker 1: to Con and Indyke, it's my opinion, based on the
• 3:39
Speaker 1: evidence and what we've heard, that they enabled that abuse.
• 3:43
Speaker 1: And while that's not exactly as bad as being the
• 3:45
Speaker 1: man in the room, it's pretty close. And if he
• 3:49
Speaker 1: was to be convicted of that, And if I was
• 3:51
Speaker 1: in charge, there'd be a helicopter trip in his future.
• 3:54
Speaker 1: But since he didn't participate in the abuse, he'd get
• 3:58
Speaker 1: to watch everybody else get tossed out first into the volcano,
• 4:01
Speaker 1: and he'd go last, you know, because he only watched.
• 4:05
Speaker 1: Federal prosecutors in Manhattan in recent months have been scheduling
• 4:09
Speaker 1: interviews with potential witnesses and have requested documents about their
• 4:12
Speaker 1: dealings with Indyke, Epstein's lawyer, and Kahn, his accountant, the
• 4:16
Speaker 1: people said. The documents include e-mails... and financial records. Well,
• 4:21
Speaker 1: what do you know? Follow the money. And listen, folks,
• 4:25
Speaker 1: this investigation would not be happening if it wasn't for you.
• 4:29
Speaker 1: So give yourselves a pat on the back. Those of
• 4:31
Speaker 1: you that show up every day, continue to have the
• 4:34
Speaker 1: flags of discontent waving, even if that means going against
• 4:37
Speaker 1: your quote-unquote political team. That shit takes courage. So a
• 4:42
Speaker 1: shout out to everybody who's willing to get into those
• 4:44
Speaker 1: trenches to fight in this great war of accountability. The
• 4:50
Speaker 1: two men had previously said that they didn't know Epstein
• 4:52
Speaker 1: was engaged in sex trafficking and denied being complicit in
• 4:56
Speaker 1: or knowingly facilitating any crimes. They said none of the
• 4:59
Speaker 1: women ever reported to them that they were being sexually abused.
• 5:03
Speaker 1: A lawyer for Kahn referred to the prior statement. Well,
• 5:07
Speaker 1: I mean, the guy was already convicted, okay? These guys
• 5:10
Speaker 1: kept working for him. There was no change of heart,
• 5:13
Speaker 1: no come-to-Jesus moment. It was all about let's keep going,
• 5:18
Speaker 1: let's keep making money, And nobody's ever going to be
• 5:21
Speaker 1: the wiser. And I have a hard time believing that
• 5:24
Speaker 1: especially Darren Indyke had no idea what was going on.
• 5:27
Speaker 1: I just have a very hard time believing it. And
• 5:29
Speaker 1: that doesn't come from feelings or dreams. It comes from
• 5:33
Speaker 1: speaking to people that were involved. It comes from reading
• 5:35
Speaker 1: all of the evidence. It comes from listening to what
• 5:39
Speaker 1: people say about these two dudes. And then when you
• 5:42
Speaker 1: put that up against their story, it doesn't match. So somewhere,
• 5:48
Speaker 1: something was lost in translation. And then once we had
• 5:50
Speaker 1: them get up and give their testimony in front of Congress,
• 5:54
Speaker 1: I think that's when the cards started to fall. And
• 5:57
Speaker 1: it's no different than Glenn Maxwell. Remember, the whole reason
• 6:00
Speaker 1: that Glenn Maxwell ended up on the radar was the
• 6:03
Speaker 1: lawsuit with Virginia. And if it wasn't for that lawsuit,
• 6:07
Speaker 1: Glenn Maxwell probably would never be in prison. But once
• 6:10
Speaker 1: you open the door, usually the feds are going to
• 6:13
Speaker 1: walk through it. We don't comment on the existence or
• 6:17
Speaker 1: lack thereof of investigations, a Justice Department spokeswoman said. We
• 6:22
Speaker 1: have always said with regard to Epstein that if the
• 6:25
Speaker 1: evidence presents itself, we'll investigate. Daniel Weiner, an attorney for Indyke,
• 6:30
Speaker 1: said in a statement that Kahn and Indyke have not
• 6:32
Speaker 1: been told that they're the subject or target of an investigation. Well,
• 6:37
Speaker 1: a lot of times, they won't let you know that.
• 6:39
Speaker 1: Not until they're ready to make a move. Once they
• 6:43
Speaker 1: have all their witnesses lined up, they have their evidence
• 6:45
Speaker 1: lined up, Then they might contact your lawyer and say, hey,
• 6:49
Speaker 1: can we get Mr. Indyke in for a conversation? Or
• 6:52
Speaker 1: they might just show up because they love to do
• 6:54
Speaker 1: that too. With normal people, they'll show up at your job. Hey,
• 7:00
Speaker 1: is Mr. So-and-so here? We'd like to have a chat
• 7:02
Speaker 1: with him. Then all of a sudden you get back
• 7:04
Speaker 1: to work and your boss is looking at you sideways
• 7:07
Speaker 1: thinking you're some kind of criminal. They love to do
• 7:10
Speaker 1: that shit. They're aware that the U.S. Attorney's Office for
• 7:14
Speaker 1: the Southern District of New York recently asked to speak
• 7:17
Speaker 1: with at least one individual who provided services to Jeffrey Epstein.
• 7:21
Speaker 1: But the focus and the scope of the investigation are
• 7:24
Speaker 1: not known to them, according to Wiener's statement. So my
• 7:28
Speaker 1: guess is, right now, they're just at the very preliminary stages.
• 7:32
Speaker 1: But once they start looking at the financials, it becomes
• 7:35
  Speaker 1: a colonoscopy, right? And I think that's what's in store
• 7:38
Speaker 1: for Richard Kahn and Darren Indyke. and that's what should
• 7:42
Speaker 1: be in store for them. Both of them have earned that.
• 7:47
Speaker 1: The Justice Department released millions of Epstein case files earlier
• 7:51
Speaker 1: this year, revealing the sex offender's private correspondence with business leaders, politicians, academics,
• 7:58
Speaker 1: and many of his victims. The disclosure prompted the arrest
• 8:01
Speaker 1: of some officials in Europe, corporate resignations, and congressional hearings.
• 8:06
Speaker 1: Justice Department officials have previously said they didn't find any
• 8:09
Speaker 1: evidence to charge anyone, beyond Ghislaine Maxwell in connection with
• 8:13
Speaker 1: Epstein's activities. In a congressional hearing after the FBI files release,
• 8:18
Speaker 1: then Attorney General Pam Bondi stated that the Federal Bureau
• 8:21
Speaker 1: of Investigation was waiting to hear from victims or anyone
• 8:25
Speaker 1: with relevant information. I mean, come on. They've had all
• 8:28
Speaker 1: this information for all these years and they've sat on it.
• 8:31
Speaker 1: Now all of a sudden they want people to come forward?
• 8:35
Speaker 1: Talk about a cop-out. Here's an idea. Use the information
• 8:38
Speaker 1: that you have in your hands. and they want to
• 8:41
Speaker 1: act like the financials are some kind of mystery. They
• 8:43
Speaker 1: are not. Everybody knew about the financials when it comes
• 8:46
Speaker 1: to Kahn and Indyk. The problem is, nobody ever acted.
• 8:50
Speaker 1: So let's hope that this is the turning of the tide,
• 8:52
Speaker 1: and we're going to see more investigations like this pop up.
• 8:58
Speaker 1: The Wall Street Journal couldn't determine what charges are being explored.
• 9:02
Speaker 1: People interviewed by prosecutors described Kahn and Indyk's roles in
• 9:06
Speaker 1: legal entities that allegedly helped conceal Epstein's activities and the
• 9:11
Speaker 1: two men's handling of financial and legal matters involving young women,
• 9:15
Speaker 1: according to people familiar with the interviews. So, RICO, okay?
• 9:19
Speaker 1: And I'd still love for somebody to explain to me
• 9:21
Speaker 1: how this wasn't a RICO case from the very beginning.
• 9:24
Speaker 1: Because that's what these dudes should be hit with. Indyk
• 9:27
Speaker 1: and Khan both engaged in RICO activities. They were both
• 9:30
Speaker 1: right in the middle of Jeffrey Epstein's organization. And let
• 9:34
Speaker 1: me ask you something else. Say a mafia boss gets clipped.
• 9:38
Speaker 1: Does that mean that everybody that was working for him
• 9:41
Speaker 1: is now off the hook? That nobody should be investigated?
• 9:44
Speaker 1: That nobody should be brought to justice? Well, if that's
• 9:50
Speaker 1: not the case for the mafia, why is that the
• 9:51
Speaker 1: case for Jeffrey Epstein? Neither man was questioned about their
• 9:56
Speaker 1: work for Epstein in 2019 and 2020 when federal prosecution...
• 10:00
Speaker 1: in Manhattan were investigating Epstein and Maxwell on sex trafficking charges,
• 10:04
Speaker 1: the Journal reported, more evidence of them trying to control
• 10:08
Speaker 1: the blast radius. And that's been their goal from the jump,
• 10:11
Speaker 1: as I've told you time and time again. If this
• 10:13
Speaker 1: was a serious investigation at any point, Indycan Khan would
• 10:17
Speaker 1: have been brought in, But of course that never happened.
• 10:22
Speaker 1: Both men were hired before Epstein pleaded guilty in Florida
• 10:25
Speaker 1: and stayed on with them until the very end. After
• 10:28
Speaker 1: Epstein's death in 2019, Indykin Khan were left to manage
• 10:33
Speaker 1: his estate and settle lawsuits brought by Epstein's victims. The
• 10:37
Speaker 1: estate set up a compensation fund that's paid more than
• 10:41
Speaker 1: $ 120 million to dozens of eligible victims and has resolved
• 10:44
Speaker 1: other claims outside of the program. And they've gotten off
• 10:48
Speaker 1: the hook. They should have paid out a lot more
• 10:51
Speaker 1: money than they ended up paying out. But here we are.
• 10:55
Speaker 1: The men are among the top beneficiaries of a trust
• 10:57
Speaker 1: that was to collect Epstein's remaining assets after all claims
• 11:01
Speaker 1: against the estate are resolved. Indite could receive $ 50 million
• 11:04
Speaker 1: and Kahn could get $ 25 million from the Epstein estate.
• 11:08
Speaker 1: How is that even possible? Like, come on. These two
• 11:12
Speaker 1: dudes benefit on the back end of this? What the
• 11:16
Speaker 1: fuck are we even doing here? Earlier this year, the
• 11:20
Speaker 1: House Oversight Committee issued a subpoena to request both men
• 11:23
Speaker 1: answer questions under oath. The committee has been investigating the
• 11:27
Speaker 1: government's handling of the Epstein case and has questioned some
• 11:30
Speaker 1: of Epstein's powerful associates, including former President Bill Clinton, Microsoft
• 11:35
Speaker 1: co-founder Bill Gates, and billionaire Leon Black. They have all
• 11:39
Speaker 1: said that they're unaware of Epstein's criminal activities. Yeah, the
• 11:43
Speaker 1: smartest men in the room never knew anything. We all
• 11:46
Speaker 1: believe that. The House recently voted to hold black in
• 11:50
Speaker 1: contempt of Congress. The former Apollo Global management leader has
• 11:54
Speaker 1: sued the committee, saying it overstepped its authority in seeking
• 11:57
Speaker 1: certain non-disclosure agreements. Yeah, because that's exactly what happened, huh?
• 12:02
Speaker 1: Or maybe, just maybe, you have something to hide. And
• 12:05
Speaker 1: considering what we know about Indyke and Kahn, their closet
• 12:08
Speaker 1: is certainly full of Epstein skeletons. So it's going to
• 12:12
Speaker 1: be interesting to see where this investigation goes and if
• 12:15
Speaker 1: we get an indictment when all is said and done.
• 12:18
Speaker 1: And like usual, we'll be here every step of the
• 12:20
Speaker 1: way as it all continues to unfold. All the information
• 12:24
Speaker 1: that goes with this episode can be found in the
• 12:27
  Speaker 1: description box.
