- 0:01Better Rock, Better Talk, DAMN RADIO!
- 0:07Hello, good evening, welcome, I am Samuel Trapp, I am very glad to have you, I
- 0:18am here in the real estate of the art studio, I am ready to accept your phone
- 0:26calls should you feel the need to call in, the number is 573-746-8020, and
- 0:42I would be happy to chat with you tonight, so much news is going on, of course,
- 0:51the first that we are starting with is the news that Donald Trump and Putin are
- 1:02meeting, and there's been a lot of upheaval over that little shindig coming up
- 1:10for us, I want to discuss a little bit of what's going on there, there have
- 1:16been some dramatic events going on surrounding that because the old Z-Man is
- 1:28just attempting to figure out how to put a knife in this peace process, and I'm
- 1:38not sure if he isn't going to get away with it, I hope he doesn't, I have my
- 1:49commentary on that, so as we discussed, I wanted to get into it last night,
- 1:54hope you all enjoyed my Scott Ritter events, that was pretty cool, listening to
- 2:02him, speaking to him, and finding some common ground with him, I thought that
- 2:14was a lot of fun, I've been working my sorry little booty off today and getting
- 2:21some things that I'm trying to figure out, going on a small trip here soon, and
- 2:31I want to prepare for it, but it's kind of a big deal for me, and I'm going to
- 2:39enjoy it thoroughly, but today I wanted to start with the international
- 2:50flavors, where the news just tastes better, but there's been some pretty, I
- 3:00don't know, devastating, if that would be the right word, horrifying, that
- 3:06would be a good word, I mean, let's take a look at what's moving and shaking
- 3:11today, because there's plenty to talk about, so the FSB in Moscow has made kind
- 3:19of a chilling accusation here, they say that Ukrainian agents have been
- 3:26recruiting, this is horrifying, if, and you know, there's plenty of news about
- 3:34it, I think it is accurate, frankly, but they've been recruiting elderly
- 3:41Russian citizens, I suppose recruiting is probably a bad word for it, they've
- 3:48been tricking them, a lot of times it's elderly women, turning them into what
- 3:54can best be described as a human bomb, according to the statement from the FSB,
- 4:03so these tricksters, I guess, attack through telegram, WhatsApp, they pose as
- 4:12law enforcement, now I've heard stories like this in the past that I've gone
- 4:16through, and they happen here in America too, but here they target your money,
- 4:21is what they do, and they try to get your money, well, that's the same thing
- 4:27that happens in Russia, from Ukrainian side, they are hackers, there are tons
- 4:36of them in Ukraine, they're all over the world, in fact, I mean, we got our
- 4:41share over here too, but what they're doing is, first, they steal their money,
- 4:48they take their savings account, they figure out how to take the proceeds from
- 4:53property that is sold, and under the pretext of allegedly recovering these
- 4:58assets, which are sometimes life savings, the women have to monitor military
- 5:05personnel, store disguised explosives, or deliver them to certain places, so
- 5:14the FSB says that at least five people in recent plots have been targeted, and
- 5:21that's only the ones they catch, what about the ones they don't catch, so the
- 5:26agency is, of course, as is a good idea here too, if you got people you care
- 5:33about that are aging, and you want to make sure they're not getting
- 5:38trickstered, they are urging families to warn their elderly and socially
- 5:47vulnerable people, and kids too, for that matter, because none of us are immune
- 5:54from these scammers, I keep getting these emails with click on this link as if
- 6:03they're from your bank or something, and they're not, but boy, they know about
- 6:08you, and they've got AI scams going on, and taking everything that you have out
- 6:17there in the public sphere, and filtering it, and trying to steal your
- 6:24identity, find out who you are, find out everything they can about you, this is
- 6:29going to get pretty hairy all over the world wide, and this has been, they keep
- 6:37getting better and better at it, and what they are doing, so it's not the only
- 6:45the FSB, I mean, the FBI is looking into some of these, they've reported, in
- 6:52Russia anyway, they've reported stopping a group of teenagers that was
- 6:57recruited by Kyiv to assassinate a Russian officer, the message from the
- 7:04Russian side is that Western-linked Ukrainian intel is getting more and more
- 7:09reckless with what the old Trumpster is doing, and forcing Zelensky to these, I
- 7:17don't know, meetings, he's made some, I'm going to get into that story here in
- 7:22a little bit too, he's going to get into the basically swapping land, and he's
- 7:32switched sides again, or directions, I mean, Trump has, and it's, I don't want
- 7:43to call it comical, but I mean, here he is, he's changing sides again, and he's
- 7:47talking quite vocally about Zelensky now on the other side, where two weeks ago
- 7:52was all about Putin, and he wasn't happy with Putin, and Putin is, you know,
- 7:57he's frustrated with Putin, and blah, blah, blah, but, you know, these Russians
- 8:03are claiming that Ukrainian intelligence with Western-backed, you know,
- 8:09intelligence sources, they're just getting more and more reckless, and they're
- 8:14very willing to exploit whoever they can in the Russian side to get him to do
- 8:20things.
- 8:22So, I don't know, I think that we should all always be on the lookout for
- 8:26scams, and for what people are doing.
- 8:30In the political side of things, I want to say that, you know, I've already
- 8:36told you in the last couple of days that Trump and Putin are meeting.
- 8:43They're without the old Z-monster.
- 8:49He is not invited to the summit.
- 8:54It's the latest that I've heard, but everything's changing over and over.
- 9:01There's different stuff going on, but Donald Trump has said that his next
- 9:05meeting will be a three-way, or might even be a two-way, but without him with
- 9:12Zelensky and Putin.
- 9:14This is after he announced his August 15 meeting with Putin is going to take
- 9:19place in Alaska.
- 9:20They're going to discuss a possible settlement.
- 9:24He says that Zelensky isn't invited.
- 9:26No, that's important, but a future sit-down is on the agenda.
- 9:31You know, he wants to, and he's willing to be in the room if they need him
- 9:35there.
- 9:36I think Zelensky needs him there because otherwise he's not going to do
- 9:40anything.
- 9:41He took a jab at Zelensky saying, you know, he's been there for three and a
- 9:45half years and nothing has happened.
- 9:48And that's, you know, somewhat true, but remember two weeks ago, Putin, you
- 9:56know, he was frustrated with Putin.
- 9:59I'm not sure what to think at this point.
- 10:02Maybe, I don't know.
- 10:05How do you not appreciate what Trump is trying to do?
- 10:11Because a week ago, I was sitting here telling you that he was making a
- 10:15mistake, that he has been, I don't know, not having peace, not trying to keep
- 10:25peace out front, and that he can't get there the way that he's trying to do it,
- 10:34by listening to the likes of Lindsey Graham or allowing him to continue.
- 10:39Now he's made some great roads by sending over J.D. Vance to this latest
- 10:44meeting with the Starmer crowd and saying, you know, these people, you know,
- 10:49want more money and we're not willing to fund it.
- 10:52And I hope he sticks with that because I've been saying the same thing forever.
- 10:57The way to end this war is quit funding it.
- 11:00You quit funding it, it will end.
- 11:03You know, let Europe, if they want to fund it, keep on funding.
- 11:08I don't think it's going to happen.
- 11:10I might play for you a chunk tonight.
- 11:13I listened to a little bit of Professor Sachs or Jeffrey Sachs, the economist,
- 11:22and he's got a new, I mean, he's got virtually everyday things out there.
- 11:30By the way, Scott Ritter is in Moscow, I believe.
- 11:34I don't believe that is, I mean, that's the story I saw, and I didn't get a
- 11:38chance to listen to it.
- 11:40It is on my links of things to listen to, but it's kind of frustrating because
- 11:44they're translating it as they're sitting there.
- 11:49And I like that, but I don't want to do that.
- 11:54I want to listen to it on one side or the other and see what it is.
- 11:59On the Russian side, his video with me on my YouTube channel has gotten quite a
- 12:04few, quite a good number of views.
- 12:07Over in Russia, I had a few people tell me they've translated it into Russian,
- 12:12but I don't know.
- 12:14I think he's over there right now, and they're trying to get some things done.
- 12:18There's some good commentary about what he is doing.
- 12:21I hope he's over there.
- 12:22I think that's a good deal.
- 12:24But Zelensky isn't invited.
- 12:29Putin has said that he's open in principle to meeting with Zelensky, but
- 12:34remember, he says Zelensky can't sign agreements.
- 12:37Zelensky can't sign them, and so something's going to have to happen from the
- 12:43Ukrainian side to say that what he is trying to do is constitutional.
- 12:52Zelensky has been under martial law here forever, and with all the people of
- 12:59Ukraine back what he puts out since his term is over, and as soon as he signs a
- 13:04peace deal, he can't be president anymore.
- 13:07In London, the coalition of the willing that J.D. Vance slammed said that they
- 13:15had floated the idea of sending troops to Ukraine.
- 13:18Of course, we have to expand, but they said they're not going to send anyone
- 13:26now.
- 13:27UK and France had both talked about the possibility earlier this year.
- 13:32Germany, Poland, Spain, and Italy all said no thank you, and even the British
- 13:38have finally said no one wants to send their troops to die in Ukraine.
- 13:44That's pretty blunt.
- 13:46The plan for peacekeeping deployment after a ceasefire appears to be dead now
- 13:52that the U.S. will not back it.
- 13:55This is what I've been saying for a long time, and I think this needs to
- 14:00happen.
- 14:02I think that Trump needs to...
- 14:07I don't know what.
- 14:08First of all, no more money.
- 14:11Second of all, if you cut the intelligence, it's over.
- 14:14It's already over.
- 14:16The Ukrainians have lost four obelisks, four territories, and it's done.
- 14:22Everything is now just nothing about rhetoric like Trump today.
- 14:28Okay, so now we're going to talk peace.
- 14:30We're going to talk getting into peace.
- 14:32We're bringing Putin into Alaska to meet with Trump.
- 14:39What does Trump do to get ahead of this, to prepare for it?
- 14:44First, he beats up on Zelensky.
- 14:47Then he turns around and beats up on Russia.
- 14:51He says, Russia is a warring country that they've been fighting for centuries.
- 14:59He says, they beat Hitler, beat Napoleon.
- 15:02I don't understand this.
- 15:07You can't call it analysis, but these kind of things to give the impression, he
- 15:13said in his view, it's just in their nature to keep fighting.
- 15:18He discussed the possibility of a land swap, but of course, contradicts
- 15:22Zelensky's position that Ukraine, that he says their constitution forbids
- 15:27territorial concession, but Trump is expressing frustration with it.
- 15:32He says, he's got approval to go into war and kill everybody, but he needs
- 15:37approval to do a land swap.
- 15:39The Ukrainian position, he's looking for allies anywhere he can find them.
- 15:48His most recent is to call it Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
- 15:53Modi reaffirmed India's support.
- 15:58They want a peaceful resolution.
- 16:01Modi praises the understanding between Moscow and Washington for peace talks,
- 16:09but Zelensky also pushed Modi to try to stop Russian energy imports into India.
- 16:19That's not going to happen.
- 16:20It's extremely tough, but India's been buying discounted Russian oil and is
- 16:25allegedly facing new US tariffs.
- 16:29There was allegedly, saw today also some news that the sanctions against China
- 16:36are put off another 90 days.
- 16:40I don't know, but Washington has a 25% tariff on Indian goods tied to oil trade
- 16:47with Russia, and another 25% allegedly scheduled soon, but India just calls it
- 16:53unfortunate and promises to defend its own economic interests.
- 17:00It's hard to figure out what is going to happen, because everything changes
- 17:06every day.
- 17:07We have Trump just, I don't know, jumping ship and going a different direction.
- 17:20I like the concept of him negotiating on the fly, of always negotiating.
- 17:29I have no problem with that.
- 17:30I like it.
- 17:31I think it's a valuable and time-honored tradition to always keep people
- 17:40guessing, but this guy appears to be flip-flopping like a fish out of the water
- 17:50and laying on a pier somewhere, just flip-flopping to try to get back in the
- 17:54water.
- 17:57It's frustrating, because when the old Biden element was in power, you knew
- 18:08that he was a mess, and you knew he was always going to be a mess, but he had
- 18:13the same position at least.
- 18:16It was always a crappy position with Trump.
- 18:20You never know what to think, because he goes from one extreme to the next.
- 18:31I don't know.
- 18:34I don't even know what to say about him anymore, but let's get to this.
- 18:39Let's talk about his biggest commentary from today, okay?
- 18:45There's a video of it.
- 18:46I'm not going to play it, but there is a video.
- 18:48Trump slaps down Zelensky's land swap excuses, okay?
- 18:55The article begins with, Trump again has said that a land swap for peace will
- 19:01be discussed at the upcoming summit with Putin in Alaska.
- 19:05Well, the swap is already done.
- 19:09Russia has seized this territory.
- 19:12Nobody's going to get it back.
- 19:14Ukraine's not going to get that back, and Russia isn't going to give it up.
- 19:21He says they need to get prepared for giving up some territory.
- 19:27Well, everybody knows that.
- 19:30Russia has occupied some very prime territory, according to Trump.
- 19:35We're going to try and get some of that back for Ukraine, some of that, saying
- 19:41that some areas might remain under Russian control in a future settlement.
- 19:47Yes, all of them.
- 19:49This is not going to work.
- 19:51The Lugansk People's Republic, the Donetsk People's Republic, Zaporizhia, and
- 19:55Kherson are part of Russia, because following the referendums held in 2022,
- 20:02Crimea voted to join in 2014.
- 20:07That was after the Western-backed Maidan coup in Kiev.
- 20:12Trump suggested that upcoming negotiations could involve swapping of
- 20:17territories, but on Saturday, Zelensky says, no, thank you.
- 20:21Then Trump, in his press conference, says he's frustrated over Zelensky's
- 20:25insistence that territorial concession to Russia would require constitutional
- 20:32approval.
- 20:34The US president questions how Zelensky has the authority to wage war, but can
- 20:42cite some kind of a legal constraint against exchanging land.
- 20:48His direct statement was, I was a little bothered by the fact Zelensky was
- 20:53saying, well, I got to get constitutional approval.
- 20:56I mean, he's got approval to go to war and kill everybody.
- 21:01Kind of a smart-ass deal.
- 21:05I remain hopeful.
- 21:10I really do remain hopeful that on Friday, in Alaska, that something positive
- 21:19comes of this.
- 21:22I truly hope so.
- 21:23I truly hope to not be disappointed and to have something come up, but it's
- 21:31unfortunately just as likely that at the end of the meeting, Trump will go back
- 21:37home, collect all of his toys, and go back and say, well, that didn't work.
- 21:45Now he goes back to the Zelensky side, goes back to bashing Putin instead.
- 21:55I think his hands are tied.
- 21:58I truly do.
- 22:00Nobody in America, me on down, anybody else, find someone who's, besides
- 22:07Lindsey Graham, of course, who's willing to continue funding this nonsensical
- 22:13debacle of a war.
- 22:17We are tired of it.
- 22:18I haven't found a whole lot of positivity in this.
- 22:26In fact, very nearly none.
- 22:28But imagine if you're some kind of a politician.
- 22:32Imagine you're the coalition of the willing sitting in England after the J.D.
- 22:41Vance meeting and saying, no, we're not giving you any money.
- 22:46No, these are bad ideas.
- 22:48Nope, this is foolish and we're not going to do it.
- 22:52When literally it was a week ago where they were all excited about getting
- 22:59together and meeting, and maybe that's the ticket.
- 23:03I don't know.
- 23:03Maybe that's the trick, that Trump gets them excited by hanging.
- 23:08Well, this could be a smart move.
- 23:10Maybe he is the master negotiator.
- 23:13Maybe this is how it's done.
- 23:15You go out and you promise them some piece of Ukraine, and then Ursula von der
- 23:21Leyen signs some deal that allows tariffs from Europe, and Trump just starts
- 23:30collecting money from them.
- 23:33Maybe he tricked them, shined them on, as the saying goes.
- 23:38I was shining them on, got them to agree to these tariffs, because I kept this,
- 23:47well, we could do something about Ukraine, but then he changed his position.
- 23:55Maybe my good friend J.R. is correct on this, that Trump is always dealing and
- 24:00he's always trying to swap something.
- 24:03Now, here he is back on the, I don't want to call it the pro-Putin side,
- 24:08because it's not, but he is not on the pro-Zelensky side.
- 24:15There's nothing there positive for that.
- 24:18I wanted to mention a little bit today about this.
- 24:23If this is accurate, and it appears to be, actually, did I finish the point on
- 24:32here?
- 24:33Well, I wanted to put, because I told him about the land swap, but then
- 24:40Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrei Sebega wrote for the same thing, talking
- 24:47about Zelensky.
- 24:49Finishing my train of thought on the Ukraine side before I move on, is Andrei
- 24:56Sebega, the Foreign Minister, says, no rewards or gifts to the aggressor to
- 25:02appease him, and that every concession invites further aggression.
- 25:09That's what they are selling.
- 25:12I suppose it wasn't an aggression to claim you had a million-man army in
- 25:20Ukraine to gear up for exactly the purpose of going to war with Russia.
- 25:28You were Ukraine, and you had the backing of the United States and Europe.
- 25:33You were just going to push on into Russia, and take your NATO, and take
- 25:38everything else, and take the US money, and that's it.
- 25:44That's not aggression.
- 25:47That's not something that was a red line for Russia all the way along, and
- 25:53killing your own people from 2014 to 2022 in the Crimea and in the Donbass
- 26:00regions, especially.
- 26:04I don't know.
- 26:05I've got mixed thoughts on all that, as you know.
- 26:11But I wanted to switch gears just a little bit, because this is depressing.
- 26:20It's an article from Al Jazeera, and it's about Israel killing Al Jazeera
- 26:32journalists in the Gaza.
- 26:35They admitted to targeting Anas al-Sharif, claiming he was the head of a Hamas
- 26:40terrorist cell.
- 26:42At least five Al Jazeera staff members were killed in Israeli airstrike on a
- 26:48journalist camp in Gaza.
- 26:51Among them was Anas al-Sharif, a well-known correspondent who's been recognized
- 26:57for his reporting on the humanitarian crisis, which everybody admits is a
- 27:03humanitarian crisis.
- 27:05The attack occurred Sunday.
- 27:08IDF struck a tent outside the main gate of the al-Shifa hospital in Gaza.
- 27:15The Qatar-based media outlet said that four of its journalists, al-Sharif,
- 27:26Mohamed Kwerke, Ibram Zahir, and Mohamed Nufal, had been found dead.
- 27:33It added that Cameron Mohamed Aliwa was also among the victims, along with two
- 27:39others, bringing the death toll to seven.
- 27:44Al-Sharif's left post on X featured a video of Israeli strikes hitting Gaza
- 27:49City.
- 27:50Moments before he was killed, it described relentless bombardment by Israeli
- 27:57warplanes.
- 27:59Hani Mahmoud, an Al Jazeera reporter who was just a block away at the time,
- 28:07heard a massive explosion, saw the sky go up.
- 28:12Soon after, news spread that it was the journalist camp that got bombed at the
- 28:18main gate of the hospital.
- 28:20The drone strike hit after things had quieted down and journalists gathered in
- 28:26one place.
- 28:27The director of the al-Sharif hospital told Al Jazeera that the IDF targeted
- 28:35the tent directly.
- 28:37Israel's military acknowledged it had targeted al-Sharif, claiming that he was
- 28:42the head of a Hamas terrorist cell operating under the guise of a reporter.
- 28:49Al Jazeera denies these allegations and described them as part of a campaign of
- 28:54incitement against journalists.
- 28:56The Committee to Protect Journalists condemns this attack, saying that Israel
- 29:01has zero evidence to support the claim that al-Sharif was a Hamas member.
- 29:07This is a pattern we have seen from Israel that keeps going.
- 29:11It's gone back forever, and they get away with it, and nobody says anything,
- 29:17and they always, always get a free pass.
- 29:23And for my part, I'm here to tell you that I'm not anti-Israel, but damn, put
- 29:29up or shut up sometimes.
- 29:31It is so easy to just say, I mean, we do it too.
- 29:36We just go out and say, oh boy, it's a Hamas member.
- 29:41Oh gee, al-Qaeda linked.
- 29:43Oh gee, weapons of mass destruction.
- 29:46Oh gee, all of these things, and we're supposed to believe it because nobody
- 29:50would believe that US military intelligence would lie to us, right?
- 29:56Who's going to believe that the Israeli defense forces are going to lie to
- 30:01their own people to justify what they're doing, especially when nobody wants to
- 30:06see these continued stories all over about how Israel is bombing food places,
- 30:14and people are starving, and they're still slaughtering civilians, and why?
- 30:22And unfortunately, we have people all over here in America, nobody is to the
- 30:28bottom of it.
- 30:28We're supposed to believe these people, but I don't believe them, and I can't
- 30:37imagine that anybody else truly, you know, the true believers, they're selling
- 30:43something, you know, that's all there is to it.
- 30:47Since the war began in October 2023, 237 journalists have been killed in Gaza
- 31:01with al-Jazeera losing 10 staff members.
- 31:06I mean, that's nonsense.
- 31:10Is anybody safe over there?
- 31:14Apparently not.
- 31:15You know, they're just bombing and blowing people up.
- 31:18It's really quite frustrating and depressing.
- 31:23I don't like it.
- 31:25I'd like to see something different.
- 31:29Where else are we going to go today?
- 31:36Let's talk about some Doha.
- 31:42Or should we go to Lavrov?
- 31:44I haven't decided.
- 31:45I'm going to say both of these, and I also wanted to tell you a little bit more
- 31:50about what's going on with pushing India, because we're still in the let's push
- 31:59India side of the equation.
- 32:04Let's reign all over India's parade, but let's start with Mr. Lavrov, if you
- 32:11don't mind, because I haven't talked about the old Lavrov in a little while.
- 32:18Let's see.
- 32:20This is an article I wanted to share with you the other day that has to do with
- 32:33the Helsinki Accords and the 50-year celebration that went on.
- 32:40I gave you a little tidbit of this last week, but here's why we should listen
- 32:45to Lavrov and why Russia isn't going to take crap from the EU anymore.
- 32:52I've brought to you summaries of this guy's work before, and sometimes I've
- 32:58related to you his entire articles.
- 33:02He's an interesting guy, and I like how he writes.
- 33:06His name is Tarik Cyril Amar.
- 33:10He's a historian from Germany, and he's studying on Russia, Ukraine, Eastern
- 33:19Europe, the history of World War II, cultural Cold War, and the politics of
- 33:27memory.
- 33:30A lot of people say it, but we don't pay attention to what history has brought
- 33:35us.
- 33:35You heard what Trump said earlier today.
- 33:38He says that Russia's been at war for centuries.
- 33:41That's nonsense.
- 33:42We've been in far more wars than they have in our short history, than they've
- 33:47had in their 10 times longer.
- 33:50Not 10 times, about five times.
- 33:53Russia's been around more than 1,000 years.
- 33:57What are we about to celebrate here in 2026?
- 34:03Won't that be 250?
- 34:06We'll be at 250.
- 34:08Young and powerful, huh?
- 34:11250.
- 34:13I remember 1776.
- 34:15It was a lot of fun.
- 34:171776.
- 34:18I was 11 years old.
- 34:22It was an entertaining year, but I still remember it.
- 34:28Man, I remember too much about it.
- 34:31Let's get back to why Lavrov had these discussions.
- 34:37Like him or hate him, Otto von Bismarck, the Prussian aristocrat, arch
- 34:43conservative, and user of German nationalism, maker of war, and keeper of the
- 34:51peace, was no dummy.
- 34:54Yet even Bismarck had a grain of humility.
- 34:57Smart politics, he remarked, consists of listening for God's step as he walks
- 35:05through world history, and then grab on to the hem of his mantle.
- 35:12In other words, stay attuned to the needs and the opportunities of the moment.
- 35:16Tragically, Bismarck's single greatest skill was to seize, and if need be, help
- 35:23along the opportunities for war.
- 35:28I like this article, but sometimes peace, too, gets its chance.
- 35:3450 years ago, all European countries minus Albania plus the US and Canada
- 35:43signed the Helsinki Final Act or the Helsinki Accords.
- 35:48This complex document, if you don't know what it is, it addresses four areas,
- 35:55so-called baskets of international relations and implementation.
- 36:01The Helsinki Act was a breakthrough in Europe.
- 36:05It's a global attempt driven by Brezhnev and Gromyko's Moscow and Nixon and
- 36:13Kissinger's Washington to, if not wind down, then to at least manage the Cold
- 36:20War a little bit better.
- 36:23So, this was 50 years ago, 1975, right?
- 36:30The Cuban Wristle Crisis of 1962 was not the only reason for the policy of
- 36:38restraint.
- 36:39Coming extremely close to all-out nuclear war, this Dr. Strangelove style
- 36:46helped concentrate minds.
- 36:48Add the US fiasco in Vietnam, and by the late 60s, the desire to de-escalate
- 36:56the world was strong enough, even in Washington, to quickly override the Soviet
- 37:04suppression of the 1968 Prague Spring.
- 37:09In the first half of the 70s, a flurry of high-level international diplomacy
- 37:15and treaties marked peak of detente period.
- 37:19By 1975, the Helsinki Accords were the peak of that peak.
- 37:26So, stemming from Soviet and Warsaw Pact initiatives, it resonated with a
- 37:32Western Europe and a post-NATO, those were definitely the days, that wanted to
- 37:38combine due diligence and defense with what?
- 37:43This is why I'm telling you this.
- 37:45They want to do it with real diplomacy and negotiation, something that has been
- 37:51missing for at least five years, for sure, and I'd argue 30, at least 30.
- 38:02Especially on our side, that's what I would say.
- 38:06But the Helsinki Accords, excuse me, fed on the preceding Western and Eastern
- 38:18politics.
- 38:19The latter is much aligned in Germany, where disgraceful, incompetent elites
- 38:25have gone wild with Russophobia and a new militarism.
- 38:31Now, when I was talking to Scott Ritter, what did he say?
- 38:34He said he was getting ready to do an article or that he was working on an
- 38:39article on Russophobia when his passport got lifted.
- 38:44Russophobia is definitely alive and well all over Europe.
- 38:48It's here in America.
- 38:49It's visible everywhere you go.
- 38:52There are people that I run into regularly that, if I speak to them in Russian,
- 39:04they will answer me in English.
- 39:08They will not speak to me in Russian.
- 39:12So I, of course, speak more Russian to them.
- 39:17So you go into these Ukrainian stores, and I guess, for me, it's just so odd
- 39:26that a language can evoke such hatred.
- 39:33It makes no sense to me.
- 39:36If you listen to my Scott Ritter interview from last night, his focus, which I
- 39:44honor, and I'd love to be a participant in these kind of things, his...
- 39:53I don't know what he's trying to do.
- 39:56His efforts are to bring together regular, common Americans.
- 40:05This kind of...
- 40:06What about detente at our level of speaking?
- 40:11One of the things that I do when I put out my Russian version YouTube videos is
- 40:17I try to engage.
- 40:22I get commentary from people that reply on my blogs and whatnot or on whatever
- 40:34commentary is out there.
- 40:37Let me see if I can give you an example of this, and we'll get back to where I
- 40:42was on this because I think these efforts, which are what Scott Ritter is
- 40:50attempting to do, are something that I do on a very personal basis.
- 40:59I try to get people to engage.
- 41:06For example, the video that I posted of Scott Ritter has a good number of
- 41:13comments from the Russian side, and let's see if I can come up with some that
- 41:20they have posted on here.
- 41:22Where is it?
- 41:25Some commentary.
- 41:31Where...
- 41:32Oh, did they...
- 41:34Those a-holes.
- 41:38There are...
- 41:40They say...
- 41:41Here's one for you.
- 41:43I have to translate it on the fly, so here it goes.
- 41:46One of very few people who speaks to truth and consistently.
- 41:52We have to listen to Scott.
- 41:55It's always interesting, and it's interesting to listen to you, Samuel.
- 42:00Well, it's because we don't...
- 42:03We kind of know what we're talking about, where a lot of these other people
- 42:08might not.
- 42:11I think this continual bashing of Russia is inappropriate.
- 42:20It's just wrong.
- 42:24At any rate, I think I want to get back to that article that we were talking
- 42:28about in 1975, but this Russophobia, we're kind of at the same point where we
- 42:34were in the Cold War way back then, is my point.
- 42:38We were at this...
- 42:40The Cold War had been trudging along.
- 42:43There were some new...
- 42:45Like Scott said about this too, and I believe this, there were some very
- 42:49professional people from maybe a little before our generation, I don't know,
- 42:56that were...
- 42:57They still talked though.
- 43:00Russia or the Soviet Union and America still talked.
- 43:05What have we done for 30 years?
- 43:09Seriously, what have we done?
- 43:11You got who?
- 43:12Megyn Kelly going over and bashing Trump, Putin straight to his face.
- 43:18You got nobody goes over there and attempts to engage or learn something about
- 43:25the culture or find out what I believe to be true, which is we are very
- 43:32similar.
- 43:34I mean, the Russian and the American people, we are similar.
- 43:38We are proud of our culture.
- 43:39They are proud of their culture.
- 43:41We are proud of our country.
- 43:44They are proud of theirs.
- 43:45We are proud of our economics.
- 43:47They are and should be proud of theirs.
- 43:51They have a lot to be proud of.
- 43:55I don't understand why we can't get past this.
- 43:58I noticed that Scott Ritter's over there doing some outreach even now.
- 44:06I'm going over to Moscow soon, and I'll keep you posted on that.
- 44:12I have a couple of things lined up over there that I do plan on getting into.
- 44:19I have interviews lined up.
- 44:22I got a couple of events I'd like to go to, and I will be doing a little bit of
- 44:27reporting from there, my own little tiny effort to go over there and see if I
- 44:34can't change what people think.
- 44:36I will do it in Russian, though, so I'll try to do it in English too, see if
- 44:42there'll be some interviews of me in English.
- 44:47But I think it's important to do it in the Russian language too, so that is
- 44:52kind of my little announcement is that I am planning a time to be over there in
- 45:01the pretty near future, so I'll keep you posted.
- 45:06But this Russophobia and these changes, I don't know.
- 45:12What they were talking about in 1975, this part about the Helsinki Accords and
- 45:22where we were going in this 50 years, we're in a similar period right now with
- 45:26this anti-Russia stuff, which is going on for going on 30 years now, and this
- 45:32Russophobia.
- 45:33But the Helsinki Accords led to a few positive things.
- 45:38You might not consider it to be a positive, but it led to perhaps the end of
- 45:45the Cold War.
- 45:46It led to Germany's reunification.
- 45:50It led to NATO expansion too, I believe, and that is not so necessarily
- 45:56positive because we said we weren't going to do it.
- 46:01The turning point was when the Soviet Union collapsed, and instead of
- 46:08attempting to co-opt them in, we attempted to buy them out and treated them
- 46:15miserably, stole all their resources, if at all possible, Western countries
- 46:21going in there, and I don't think that's going to happen again anytime soon.
- 46:26But after 1975, things started to go downhill, and they never really stopped.
- 46:33And that is one of the key points made in a long article, and I have downloaded
- 46:42it and I plan to read it, but I haven't had an opportunity yet, by the Russian
- 46:47Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
- 46:51Since the Western media, us, excel at not reporting what Russian politicians
- 46:59try to tell us, it could be that very few people will notice this article
- 47:04outside of Russia, which is a shame because Lavrov has more than one message
- 47:10that we should pay attention to.
- 47:15And I'm going to go through his article, of course, you know, Lavrov's, but
- 47:20it's a long article.
- 47:23It's, let's see, it's the 50 years of the article, and it's a long article in
- 47:32Russian, but Sergei Lavrov is a gifted man, and he's been the Soviet Foreign
- 47:39Minister for 25 years.
- 47:43And I'm going to share a lot of this article with you tomorrow, but it's
- 47:51certainly worth the read to hear what Sergei Lavrov is going to say, and I
- 47:58intend to share it with you tomorrow.
- 48:04And right here on International Flavor, we're going to delve in and see exactly
- 48:12what he had to say, but they are discussing his article in other places, and
- 48:23we, or the West, as usual, is ignoring him.
- 48:35I'm going to maybe give you the link to this that is in an English version, so
- 48:40I'm kind of looking for that, but it's not coming up the way I want, so we'll
- 48:48just continue with the article for now, and I will plan to give that to you
- 48:52tomorrow.
- 48:53But the summary of it is pretty brief, and it's in this article that I am
- 49:00reading to you right now.
- 49:03So under the title, which is a bit understated, is that half a century of
- 49:12Helsinki Act, expectation, reality, and perspective.
- 49:17But in it, Lavrov delivers a harsh, and even if you disagree, a fundamentally
- 49:23valid criticism of the disappointing failure following the promising beginnings
- 49:29of the Helsinki Accords.
- 49:32This failure has a name, and it's called the Organization for Security and
- 49:38Cooperation in Europe, OSCE.
- 49:42OSCE is the successor on the Conference on Security and Cooperation in Europe,
- 49:48which is called the CSCE, which produced the Helsinki Accords between 72 and
- 49:5475.
- 49:55Before the leaders of this time, both small and great, could meet in Helsinki
- 50:01to sign them at what Cold War historian Jussi Hahnemäki called a ceremonial
- 50:11affair, there had been years of painstaking negotiations.
- 50:15There's a lesson here for the impatient Trumps and Zelenskys of the world
- 50:21today.
- 50:22Serious results take serious preparation, not a day or two of just
- 50:29grandstanding.
- 50:30Hard to disagree with that, right?
- 50:33So what happened to the OSCE next is not complicated at all.
- 50:37It had 57 member states, which are the largest security organization in the
- 50:43world today, and it has massively underperformed, at least if we measure it by
- 50:49its own goals, as originally set out in the Helsinki Accords.
- 50:55The OSCE, I'm losing my tongue today.
- 50:59The OSCE could have been an indispensable international forum, could have
- 51:06bridged the front lines of geopolitics and ideologies, but what we say now is
- 51:11values, right?
- 51:15I had to take a sip with it so my tongue could get back into line here.
- 51:20After the end of the Cold War, it could have been the core of a new security
- 51:25structure, which included everyone from Lisbon to Vladivostok.
- 51:29But for that to happen, it would have had to stick to the Helsinki Accords'
- 51:34core principle and rules, strict respect for sovereignty, equality for
- 51:40everyone, and non-interference.
- 51:45That did not occur, all maintained by heavy emphasis on consensus.
- 51:50But instead, the OSCE turned first into a Cold War, and then in a post-Cold
- 51:55War, tool, yet another one, of Western-only influence, Western-only bias.
- 52:03They called it multilateral, but it wasn't.
- 52:07It was all dictated by the same old globalist crowd as usual.
- 52:14Like the EU, the OSCE should have been fundamentally different from, and even
- 52:20antagonistic toward, NATO.
- 52:23But like the EU, here's the kicker, it ended up becoming a junior partner of
- 52:31America's imperialist vassal system, kind of like your Ursula von der Leyen of
- 52:37the world, all subordinate to Trump, and before that, subordinate to Hillary
- 52:42Clinton as Secretary of State.
- 52:44And then they were subordinate to the Biden administration, and it's always
- 52:48subordinate.
- 52:50There's no country sovereignty.
- 52:54I mean, look at what we discussed earlier today, with JD Vance going into
- 53:00England, to this alleged coalition of the willing, and telling people what
- 53:05they're going to do.
- 53:07And the coalition of the willing just fallen flat on its face.
- 53:12You know, nothing came of that.
- 53:14What a waste of time.
- 53:15And it's always that way, because what the US says goes.
- 53:18Everybody's a junior partner of the same team, right?
- 53:24So, according to this guy, and I haven't read the entire article yet, but the
- 53:28article is dedicated to detailing the future of various countries, regions,
- 53:32issues, and conflicts, which include a lot of former Soviet, because they got
- 53:39to dismantle that, right?
- 53:41This is what we've been targeting, right?
- 53:44Think about this, Chechnya, war, Kosovo, war, Moldova, working up to it, and
- 53:51Ukraine, to name only a few.
- 53:53So, it's important because it serves as a corrective, you know, to what the US
- 53:59says about its mainstream tales, which put the blame for the failure of
- 54:05Helsinki and OSCE on Russia, it's always on Russia, not to speak of the
- 54:12demented attempts by Ukraine's corrupt, and increasingly himself isolated,
- 54:19Vladimir Zelensky, to use the Helsinki anniversary to once again call for
- 54:24regime change.
- 54:26Remember that?
- 54:27He said, we need regime change in Russia.
- 54:31But what is even more important is that Lavrov's message about the future is
- 54:36the future as Russia sees it, right?
- 54:40First, it's polycentric, multipolar, and in this part of the world, Eurasia,
- 54:47and emphatically not transatlantic.
- 54:52So, Eurasia is booming like crazy, and it's a huge, huge thing.
- 54:58The US went over there.
- 54:59Why do you think the US is in Azerbaijan right now?
- 55:03We understand the importance of that, right?
- 55:09In that respect, it's like we're almost back in the mid-1950s, long before the
- 55:14Helsinki Act.
- 55:16Moscow, then the capital of the Soviet Union, suggested building a
- 55:20comprehensive security structure for everyone.
- 55:25West refused because Moscow was not willing to include the US.
- 55:32They wanted to include all of Europe and all of the Eurasian, but they didn't
- 55:37want to include the US.
- 55:38So, they make their own mistakes, right?
- 55:40But by the 70s, the leadership changed its position, affirming that it was
- 55:46possible to include the US, which in turn actually made the Helsinki Accords
- 55:52possible, right?
- 55:54So, this fairytale that Russia is intransigent is just that, a fairytale.
- 56:02So, that inclusion is an irony of history, because Washington showed only
- 56:08distrust and disdain for Helsinki.
- 56:12Henry Kissinger considered Europe a sideshow, but the Soviet Union did not.
- 56:19The US had always respected its opponents much more than its servants.
- 56:25He suspected that if Moscow and Western Europe got too cozy, it would end up
- 56:31being a threat, just like it is.
- 56:34Washington would control Europe.
- 56:37He once told his team that Helsinki agreements might as well have been written
- 56:45in Swahili, is what he said.
- 56:48But Moscow is back to standing firm against transatlantic positions, I suppose.
- 56:57Lavrov writes, Euro-Atlantic conception of security and cooperation have
- 57:02discredited themselves and everyone is exhausted.
- 57:05Europe can have a place in a future Eurasian systems, but it definitely won't
- 57:12be allowed to call the shots.
- 57:15If its countries wish to be part of the process, they will have to learn good
- 57:19manners, renounce their habit of dictating things, and their colonial
- 57:25instincts, get used to equal rights and working as a team.
- 57:30Now, that sounds pretty harsh, right?
- 57:33But is it inaccurate?
- 57:36I don't think so, if you take it from the point of view of the unilateral world
- 57:40that we've been a part of forever.
- 57:43Well, not forever, but certainly since the collapse of the Soviet Union.
- 57:48It's all only one-sided, to the exclusion of India, to the exclusion of China,
- 57:54definitely to the exclusion of Russia, and everyone wants to dictate what will
- 57:59happen in Georgia, in Azerbaijan, in all of the stands, Kazakhstan,
- 58:06Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, all of these places.
- 58:11I don't know.
- 58:12It's very far from what we always see from Europe, right?
- 58:17Like right now.
- 58:19Europe is submissive to the US to the point of its own self-destruction.
- 58:27Look at what it's doing, preparing for war when they don't have an enemy.
- 58:34That's my point of view.
- 58:35That's not part of the article.
- 58:37I mean, it just makes no sense.
- 58:40I'm not saying do not be prepared, that maybe you aren't spending enough on
- 58:46your war machines, I suppose you could say, but do you really think that you're
- 58:57going to be fighting Russia by 2030, I think is what they were saying, that you
- 59:04personally are going to be fighting Russia?
- 59:07I mean, do you believe that?
- 59:09It's nonsensical, and you need some very new and more modern experts, because
- 59:17yours suck.
- 59:22So, excuse me, they are all they want to do.
- 59:25They won't even talk to Russia at this point, none of them.
- 59:30I mean, where is diplomacy?
- 59:32Nobody will talk to Russia except Donald Trump.
- 59:37So, how do I want to put this?
- 59:43The hegemonic Europe, the United States, at least for the last five to 30
- 59:49years, have tried to dictate to the rest of the world, and this has nothing to
- 59:56do with BRICS, but it's pushing people that way.
- 1:00:02This article, which leads you to the Lavrov article, which I'll provide a link
- 1:00:07to and maybe even translate it for you using AI or something, I can do that, I
- 1:00:15suppose.
- 1:00:16But given how damaging all of these policies have been, what's going on in
- 1:00:23Europe and the U.S., especially with the meeting of the Trumpster and Vladimir
- 1:00:29Vladimirovich in Alaska, might mean that this type of crap isn't going to go on
- 1:00:37much longer.
- 1:00:39I was very, very hopeful when Trump took office.
- 1:00:45I was even more hopeful that Rubio would be on the same team that he—I mean, if
- 1:00:57you remember my discussion after Trump made it in, and I said that I was
- 1:01:02initially against Rubio, that I was like, what?
- 1:01:06Why in the world are we picking Rubio?
- 1:01:08But I came around fairly quickly.
- 1:01:12He was saying the right things.
- 1:01:15J.D. Vance is always saying the right things internationally, but he was
- 1:01:19sidelined and told to be quiet for a while.
- 1:01:23I can't decide if Trump and this meeting on Friday is going back to what they
- 1:01:30were originally planning, and this really has been a six-month negotiation at a
- 1:01:37higher level.
- 1:01:38I find that hard to believe, but think about this.
- 1:01:43In the past week—I mean, seriously, in the past week, what have we heard from
- 1:01:49Lindsey Graham?
- 1:01:53He was all over the place, and so was Kellogg.
- 1:01:58Now we're back to Whitkoff and him going to Moscow, which results in not a 10
- 1:02:05to 12 day.
- 1:02:06The 12 day was—yesterday was the 12th day of Trump's 10 to 12 days.
- 1:02:12Where are these Lindsey Graham—what did he call—bone-crushing sanctions, right?
- 1:02:19Where are they?
- 1:02:21Trump hasn't—he didn't make good on it.
- 1:02:24He talked about it, but he instead—I mean, we're only talking a two-week news
- 1:02:30cycle here.
- 1:02:32A two-week news cycle.
- 1:02:34Tomorrow is 14 days from the day he sat with Keir Starmer in England and said,
- 1:02:41we're giving Russia 10 to 12 days, not the 50 I originally said.
- 1:02:46What have we been talking about since then?
- 1:02:49Everybody was like, oh my God, Russia's going to collapse.
- 1:02:52Oh my God, India's this.
- 1:02:53Oh my God, China's that.
- 1:02:54What about Brazil?
- 1:02:56And nothing has happened, except Trump is now coming back from the other
- 1:03:01position.
- 1:03:04And I don't know.
- 1:03:05Where are we actually going to go?
- 1:03:10I think it's going to be entertaining to see what really happens on Friday.
- 1:03:15I will give you my prediction, that Vladimir Putin will meet with Donald Trump,
- 1:03:24tell him virtually the same thing that he has been saying for three and a half
- 1:03:34years.
- 1:03:34And here we are, approaching the fall, which is going to turn into the winter,
- 1:03:39and Russia has gained dramatically over the summer offensive.
- 1:03:45And there are some people stating that the collapse of the front lines, which
- 1:03:52is ongoing in Ukraine, is speeding up.
- 1:03:56And frankly, I believe that to be true.
- 1:04:00But I think after my prediction, after the meeting on Friday, it will go off,
- 1:04:07it'll be decent, and they will meet.
- 1:04:10And Vladimir Putin will tell Trump directly to his face, this will have to be
- 1:04:19something that includes the territorial concessions and acknowledging his
- 1:04:28terms, acknowledging the realities on the ground, that's number one.
- 1:04:35Number two, you have to honor or at least allow the Russian language, because
- 1:04:43Ukraine is full of them, and how in the world can you outlaw the Russian
- 1:04:48language?
- 1:04:52I can be open to that, or allow people to, why can't there be, they have
- 1:04:59historic background going back centuries between these two people.
- 1:05:05Peoples, I suppose, would be the better way to put it.
- 1:05:09No NATO, number three, no NATO, and military neutrality, get rid of Nazism,
- 1:05:19this honoring of Bandera, who Russia just doesn't like.
- 1:05:29I mean, I suppose if you want to honor Bandera, Stepan Bandera, for killing 100
- 1:05:34,000 Polish people, I suppose, they're already doing it.
- 1:05:40His birthday is an important holiday.
- 1:05:42But those are the things that Vladimir Putin is going to say.
- 1:05:48And Donald Trump, his choices when it comes out, I mean, he has things he can
- 1:05:55do, but what's he going to do?
- 1:05:56He's going to come out and say, Vladimir Putin hasn't changed his position.
- 1:06:06He hasn't changed what he says he's going to do.
- 1:06:12And I'm frustrated.
- 1:06:15This is Trump, I am frustrated.
- 1:06:18And, you know, if he doesn't change, we're going to have to do something.
- 1:06:24But then again, I still see hope, because they have talked about one of the
- 1:06:33plans that I heard, one of the plans that I think might actually gain some
- 1:06:41traction, although Russia really wants this to, is for the nuclear power plant.
- 1:06:51Remember when Trump was talking about putting that nuclear power plant under
- 1:06:56independent control, and having half of the output, because it's the largest
- 1:07:02nuclear power plant.
- 1:07:04I can't remember how many reactors, I want to say four, but it's huge.
- 1:07:09And Russia is, you know, blocking the Ukrainian side from it, is what I've
- 1:07:15heard.
- 1:07:16And what if that was, because one of the first things that Witkoff, or was it
- 1:07:24Witkoff?
- 1:07:24I think it was, who proposed it several months ago, was this nuclear power
- 1:07:29plant, splitting the energy from it, half for Ukraine and half for Russia, and
- 1:07:38have something that they can work together on with the IAEA, which is there
- 1:07:44anyway.
- 1:07:45Russia wasn't for that, because Ukraine was bombing the hell out of the place
- 1:07:49anyway, been trying to sabotage that plant.
- 1:07:52You know, if we can't have it, nobody can have it.
- 1:07:55Then they went into Kursk to try to take the Kursk nuclear power plant, that
- 1:07:59was allegedly one of the reasons for going in there last August, right?
- 1:08:04And so I've heard that that would be one of the conditions still, one of the
- 1:08:11positive swaps that Witkoff was talking about.
- 1:08:17What may be that area where they took the uranium, you know, Russia took that
- 1:08:22uranium section about, what was that, six weeks ago, where they took a huge
- 1:08:29part of the uranium section, and maybe that would be part of the swap.
- 1:08:34But I think that after the swap is over, or I'm sorry, after the discussions
- 1:08:40about the swap are over, that Trump is going to, after he meets with Putin,
- 1:08:47then he'll go back to beating up on Putin.
- 1:08:50Now, part of the positivity of this is, I think, that Trump and Putin actually
- 1:08:58like each other, or at least respect each other.
- 1:09:02You know, I don't think Trump likes or respects Zelensky at all.
- 1:09:09And when you hear Zelensky speak, he don't respect anyone.
- 1:09:13You know, he's got no respect.
- 1:09:16I mean, who does he respect?
- 1:09:18He thinks they deserve funding forever.
- 1:09:22That's what he thinks.
- 1:09:23Everywhere he goes, he's looking for more funding.
- 1:09:27So my fear is that what happens on this meeting on Friday is a big fat nothing.
- 1:09:40A big fat nothing burger.
- 1:09:43That's what I think.
- 1:09:44And I hope that I am wrong.
- 1:09:49But I think Trump's going to switch.
- 1:09:53Let's see what, because Trump had a question and answer period today.
- 1:09:58And let's see what we can take away from that, right?
- 1:10:03Here it comes.
- 1:10:05US President Trump shared his expectations for the meeting on Friday.
- 1:10:11He had a Q&A session after the press conference on Monday.
- 1:10:16He says the summit would show whether Moscow and Kiev are capable of reaching a
- 1:10:22deal, unsettling the Ukraine conflict, or should just be left fighting it even
- 1:10:28further.
- 1:10:29Now, so Trump is all the way back to his early January position.
- 1:10:35Screw him.
- 1:10:36I want out.
- 1:10:37I don't want this war to be my war.
- 1:10:40And I've said repeatedly now that this war has become his war.
- 1:10:44The longer it goes on, the more his it becomes.
- 1:10:50So the content of this meeting between the two of them would be shared with the
- 1:10:57EU, NATO, and said Trump.
- 1:10:59And he said that he would inform them about Moscow's proposals if he believes
- 1:11:05they can be translated into a fair deal, which I just outlined to you, I don't
- 1:11:12think is going to be the case, because both of these guys are position
- 1:11:16bargaining.
- 1:11:17I mean, Zelensky and Putin.
- 1:11:21They are position bargaining.
- 1:11:23I gave you a lecture several weeks ago about interest-based bargaining, and
- 1:11:27they're not interested in ending the war.
- 1:11:32I don't think they're interested, at least not on the same terms.
- 1:11:36They have these positions.
- 1:11:37And so something has to happen to change their position.
- 1:11:42And so far, it hasn't.
- 1:11:43Moscow's won't change because they're winning.
- 1:11:48So according to the president, the settlement of the conflict is bound to
- 1:11:54involve land swapping.
- 1:11:56He said he sees great potential in trade with Russia, and he needs to have it,
- 1:12:03and they have very valuable lands.
- 1:12:07But Trump is using this as what?
- 1:12:10He wants to feel out Putin.
- 1:12:12They haven't met in a good long time.
- 1:12:16Nobody's met with him except envoys.
- 1:12:20This is a big deal.
- 1:12:22Trump expects the Friday summit in Alaska to be a feel-out meeting that would
- 1:12:28help him understand Moscow's intentions.
- 1:12:31How do you not?
- 1:12:33That's my problem.
- 1:12:34He said that he believes Russia wants to engage with Washington and get it over
- 1:12:40with when it comes to the Ukraine conflict.
- 1:12:42Well, that's because it's a Western proxy war, and the West has to acknowledge
- 1:12:48that it shouldn't have started it, and it should be over.
- 1:12:51If Trump did that and truly said, it's not my war, this is Biden's war, this is
- 1:12:57not my war.
- 1:12:58Of course, that's not what he said in the beginning.
- 1:13:00He goes, who gave you the javelins?
- 1:13:02Wasn't it javelins that he gave him in the beginning?
- 1:13:05Who allowed you to all these weapons?
- 1:13:06Well, what did Obama give you?
- 1:13:09He gave you blankets, remember?
- 1:13:11Then he goes, I gave you weapons.
- 1:13:14So my war is what that says, but then he claims it's Biden's war.
- 1:13:19He welcomes the fact that Moscow agreed to hold the summit in the US.
- 1:13:24He thought it was very respectful that the president of Russia is coming to our
- 1:13:29country as opposed to us going to his country or even a third party.
- 1:13:36He thinks that they're going to have constructive conversations.
- 1:13:39I hope it is.
- 1:13:41So part one is he wants to feel it out.
- 1:13:43Part two is this is a path forward.
- 1:13:47I sure hope so, but I don't see everybody's pretty intransigent.
- 1:13:53Everybody's said so already, right?
- 1:13:56The meeting will help him understand whether there is a way to settle the
- 1:14:00conflict.
- 1:14:01How do you not understand by now what it's going to take?
- 1:14:04That's what I don't understand.
- 1:14:07We're going to see what the parameters of a potential settlement are.
- 1:14:13When I read that, his comment about what he said, how do you not know by now
- 1:14:22what the parameters of settlement are?
- 1:14:25This is the greatest dealmaker on the planet, right?
- 1:14:29It's Donald Trump.
- 1:14:30He is the dealmaker.
- 1:14:34What do you not understand about the terms of the deal that have been outlined
- 1:14:39to you by a party who considers itself to be the victorious party right now?
- 1:14:49If you're going to end this, what are you going to do?
- 1:14:52You're going to have to save face somehow.
- 1:14:57There's got to be a safe phasing while still giving Russia what it wants to
- 1:15:01stop, what it wants.
- 1:15:02Remember, all the EU and all Zelensky have to offer is a 30-day ceasefire only,
- 1:15:10but no freezing in place.
- 1:15:13If they never agree to territorial concessions, then they'll never agree to
- 1:15:17ending the war.
- 1:15:19The war has to continue until they agree to end the war.
- 1:15:25It should go on without the US or the West providing anything to them.
- 1:15:31It's the only way to end the war.
- 1:15:35It's the only way to end the war is to accept the position of the victorious
- 1:15:45party or escalate with everybody that's a member of NATO and come out and say,
- 1:15:53all right, we're going to let them into NATO.
- 1:15:54What are you going to do?
- 1:15:56Start World War III?
- 1:15:58What are you going to do?
- 1:15:59Because I tell you, India, China, Brazil will not be involved, and I imagine
- 1:16:05most of the Middle East would not.
- 1:16:08But if you side with Europe, you side with Zelensky, and you then say, well, we
- 1:16:15have to up the ante.
- 1:16:17Everybody knows this isn't going to happen.
- 1:16:19You have to up the ante.
- 1:16:21This is what Zelensky wants.
- 1:16:22This is what he's been begging for the whole time.
- 1:16:24Get in here with us.
- 1:16:26We're dying, but we won't give up.
- 1:16:29We're Ukrainians.
- 1:16:30We don't give up.
- 1:16:31Russians are going, well, we're Russians.
- 1:16:33Even Trump said it today.
- 1:16:35We're going to kick the crap out of you until you do.
- 1:16:38I don't know if that's the right position, but that's where we are.
- 1:16:42So Trump, I don't see the parameters of a deal that would be there, except
- 1:16:47maybe, I mean, think about this in the big position.
- 1:16:51Maybe there's something outside of it that I talked about a long time ago.
- 1:16:58It actually came up in a recent, very recent discussion on a chat board
- 1:17:04somewhere, came up again, and I read it.
- 1:17:07It was a Sunday afternoon that I read it, so yesterday it was.
- 1:17:14Arctic, the Arctic Circle.
- 1:17:19Trump has been talking about, remember when he wanted Greenland?
- 1:17:23Remember when he wanted Canada to do something?
- 1:17:25Remember he wants more presence for the US there?
- 1:17:29Well, what if Trump gave something to Putin?
- 1:17:35If we started dealing together with the Russians, the Ukrainian thing would go
- 1:17:41away anyway.
- 1:17:42It would just be gone.
- 1:17:44It just would.
- 1:17:48He's the president, for God's sake.
- 1:17:50All he's got to do is change his, not change his position, back up and stay
- 1:17:56with the position, right?
- 1:17:59I hope you understand that, but you got to give somebody something else that
- 1:18:04they're interested in.
- 1:18:05What is Ukraine interested in?
- 1:18:07There ain't a damn thing they're interested.
- 1:18:09They want what they had before.
- 1:18:11They don't want to lose it.
- 1:18:13They don't want Russia, the aggressor, to win.
- 1:18:17That reality is something that they're not willing to accept, but it's reality.
- 1:18:23How do you not accept reality?
- 1:18:26You should acknowledge the fact that you have an equal part in putting
- 1:18:34yourselves in this reality, and that they don't agree with.
- 1:18:38They still want to say that the only basis for this war is Russian aggression.
- 1:18:44That's it.
- 1:18:45If we don't stop Russia, they're going to take over Europe.
- 1:18:48That's it.
- 1:18:49Those are lies.
- 1:18:51That is not true.
- 1:18:53If you believe it, well, you've been sold a bill of very poor goods, and you
- 1:19:01need to rethink your position.
- 1:19:04Listen to people who know what's going on.
- 1:19:06If you haven't yet, start your Oliver Stone video with Ukraine on fire.
- 1:19:14I want to finish this.
- 1:19:16There's still a little bit to go about what the Trumpster is planning.
- 1:19:26What he said was he wants to talk about potential settlement parameters.
- 1:19:30He already knows them.
- 1:19:32He's just wanting different settlement parameters.
- 1:19:35They won't be different from Vladimir Putin.
- 1:19:37That's not going to happen.
- 1:19:39He says, I'd like to see the best deal that can be made for both parties, said
- 1:19:43Trump.
- 1:19:44Well, but who wouldn't?
- 1:19:45I'm not saying that I don't want Ukraine to survive as a country.
- 1:19:49I do.
- 1:19:50I can't say that they don't have something important to offer the world.
- 1:19:54I believe they do.
- 1:19:55They're good people, just like everybody else.
- 1:19:57I like Ukrainians.
- 1:19:59I had one knock on my door today, and he asked, well, we won't get to that.
- 1:20:04Trump stated, adding that he would also like to see a ceasefire as soon as
- 1:20:10possible.
- 1:20:10We're all back to that, the ceasefire, which Russia will not agree to because
- 1:20:17it will be used to rearm, resupply, reentrench.
- 1:20:24They're not going to do it.
- 1:20:26He still admitted that there is a chance the meeting could end up in a failure,
- 1:20:30and he would just leave and say, good luck.
- 1:20:35That's the path forward that he talked about.
- 1:20:38Land swapping.
- 1:20:40He talked about the swapping of land.
- 1:20:42The potential solution to the Ukraine conflict will involve some exchange of
- 1:20:46territory between Russia and Ukraine, said the president.
- 1:20:50There will be some land swapping going on, but he won't tell us what it is.
- 1:20:54Remember when Kiev was going to jump into the Kursk area, into the Belgrade
- 1:21:02area, and they were in there, and Russia had to boot them out?
- 1:21:05We haven't heard anything about that.
- 1:21:07Well, Russia, for its turn, is now in Kherson and is now in Sumy regions, which
- 1:21:12they could give up in exchange for people saying, here we go.
- 1:21:19Trump criticized Kiev and their settling of territorial disputes.
- 1:21:25He said he was bothered by Zelensky telling him he needed constitutional
- 1:21:29approval.
- 1:21:30We talked about that earlier.
- 1:21:32Zelensky is not invited.
- 1:21:34That's important.
- 1:21:38He's been there for three and a half years and nothing happened.
- 1:21:41Then finally, he asked if he still believes the U.S. could still do normal
- 1:21:47trade with Russia, to which he said, I do.
- 1:21:51He went on to say Russia has a very valuable piece of land and could benefit
- 1:21:56from it if Putin would go toward business.
- 1:22:00Russia is doing very well business-wise.
- 1:22:04He said Russia is a massive country and has a tremendous potential to do well,
- 1:22:09so he's saying some of the right things.
- 1:22:13Will it change anything or will it be a wasted meeting?
- 1:22:19That's food for thought.
- 1:22:20I think it's far more likely to be a wasted meeting unless you have something
- 1:22:28different to offer.
- 1:22:31What if you started some trade with Russia?
- 1:22:43What could we give them?
- 1:22:45Think about this.
- 1:22:46Let's think about it from President Trump's point of view.
- 1:22:50What can we give to Russia to help them?
- 1:22:56The only thing we have is these sanctions.
- 1:23:00Last week during the settlement thing after Witkoff went there, when Witkoff
- 1:23:05went and met with Putin, people were talking about the sanctions being lifted.
- 1:23:13That, I think, might have some potential if it's a reality, but it's not going
- 1:23:20to result in Putin saying, no, sorry, we are going to give up five obelisks
- 1:23:28that we've conquered with men, with blood, with lives, that they are ours and
- 1:23:35they always were Russian and Russian-speaking and you started this war.
- 1:23:42Russia itself would never go for that.
- 1:23:46The people would never go for that.
- 1:23:50That we just, oh gee, sorry, it was a mistake.
- 1:23:53Let's go back to being friends again, because Ukraine will never be friends.
- 1:23:57They won't even speak the same, they won't even, they won't, I told you, the
- 1:24:03little girl at Home Depot or whatever it was, who was selling whatever it was
- 1:24:08she was selling, and when, you know, she wouldn't talk to me in Russian, and
- 1:24:13that is, unfortunately, all too common these days.
- 1:24:18They will not do it.
- 1:24:20And even Trump, these people hate each other.
- 1:24:23Remember when he told us that?
- 1:24:24Said they hate each other.
- 1:24:26I don't get that from the Russian side.
- 1:24:28You do from the Ukrainian side, for sure, but I don't have Russian people
- 1:24:36telling me they hate Ukrainians.
- 1:24:39It's pretty rare to hear that kind of thing.
- 1:24:43They're sad for it.
- 1:24:44They want the war to be over.
- 1:24:46You know, the people that I have spoken to are more like me, are more like what
- 1:24:52Scott Ritter was talking about.
- 1:24:54I hope his, I only saw in the last few hours that he was over there and I've
- 1:25:00been meeting, I'm going to listen to his discussions while he's over there.
- 1:25:05I'll give you a nice report on it tomorrow as we wind down this show.
- 1:25:10I'm going to keep track of, and I'm going to read Lavrov's article in its
- 1:25:21entirety so that I can give you his words directly.
- 1:25:26I gave you a bit of a summary from the other, but I haven't had time to read
- 1:25:30his, and so that's somebody else's summary.
- 1:25:33You know that my source rules require me to go to the horse's mouth, if at all
- 1:25:40possible, and try to get the story instead of believing what a third party
- 1:25:45said.
- 1:25:45I like what he said, and I've been pretty impressed with what that Tariq Aziz
- 1:25:52has always talked about and things he said, but I want to make sure that this
- 1:25:56video gets in my group and it has a good summary that I have already gone over
- 1:26:04a little bit, but now I want to go over it all in, I'm going to read it in
- 1:26:10Russian and then translate and do it in English, and I'll give you a little
- 1:26:14report if there's anything major on it.
- 1:26:16If not, if all we covered were the main points that were were already covered
- 1:26:23by Mr. Aziz, then I won't go into it, but I'm still going to be very much
- 1:26:33attuned to what's going on, or what they say is going on up in Alaska.
- 1:26:40I'm going to have a tiny bit of a one-track mind, but on Friday, I'm going to
- 1:26:46be traveling, you know.
- 1:26:51I'm going to be perhaps not available.
- 1:26:58I'm going to pre-record my show for Sunday, I believe, and I think I've already
- 1:27:03got a leg of it, and so, well, folks, as we wind down, I am Samuel Trapp.
- 1:27:11This is International Flavor.
- 1:27:14I'm very glad to have you on the show and listening and paying attention, and I
- 1:27:20think it's important to have voices of reason that we have on damradio.com
- 1:27:29forward slash live, that we continually give some good content for you.
- 1:27:37We have excellent political themes.
- 1:27:42I do intend this week to regroup with my, I've drafted the lawsuit against the
- 1:27:50Missouri Bar for their failure to supply the sunshine requests that I've been
- 1:27:59looking for.
- 1:28:00I think I'm going to send one more formal letter to them, perhaps in a
- 1:28:07registered mail sort of thing, because I sent it by email before, and that's
- 1:28:13allowed, but I think I would prefer to have a signed document from it, just
- 1:28:18because, although I don't need it, you don't have to have it, that's not
- 1:28:22required, but I want to go after them and have them supply the things that I've
- 1:28:30been talking about, and I plan this week to do a story about the client
- 1:28:36security fund one more time and hit that up.
- 1:28:40If you don't recall, there's, I know I have a story out there about it, but I'm
- 1:28:46going to continue on that story and give you an update on my Supreme Court and
- 1:28:52governor paperwork that I do have.
- 1:28:54Okay, and we could be going another direction on Sunday, but I haven't put that
- 1:28:59together yet for yet another person targeted by the state of Missouri.
- 1:29:05I'll keep you posted on that, and I will let you know what goes on, but for
- 1:29:11now, I am Samuel Trapp.
- 1:29:13This is International Flavor.
- 1:29:16Please go out and check our schedule at damradio.com forward slash schedule.
- 1:29:21You can always listen live at damradio.com forward slash live, and you can
- 1:29:33forever...
- 1:29:35Well, I don't know how many they'll hold.
- 1:29:37I got screwed on that end.
- 1:29:38I might tell you that story tomorrow.
- 1:29:40On internationalflavor.com, I deleted some of my old versions from four or five
- 1:29:46years ago, and it kind of messed up my statistics.
- 1:29:49At any rate, if you want to listen to internationalflavor.com, just go out
- 1:29:53there, and all of my podcasts are there.
- 1:29:56Thank you for joining me this evening, and good night.
