- 0:02Speaker 1: On scorn lids Ostrodia.
- 0:05Speaker 2: This is the Wider Panalty Show.
- 0:09Speaker 3: Good evening and welcome to the Rita Panety Show.
- 0:11Speaker 4: Coming up tonight, the Liberal Party's leadership crisis as they
- 0:15Speaker 4: sing to new lows under the leader Susan Lee, with
- 0:18Speaker 4: a primary vote sitting at twenty seven percent. Dan wil
- 0:23Speaker 4: will join me shortly to discuss that and much more.
- 0:26Speaker 4: I'll speak to the great Josh Hammer, who was a
- 0:28Speaker 4: close friend of Charlie Kirk. He has plenty to say
- 0:31Speaker 4: about the modern left's taste bought violence. Corey DeAngelis will
- 0:36Speaker 4: be in the studio and we'll look at the state
- 0:37Speaker 4: of academia and while Charlie Kirk saw it as the major.
- 0:42Speaker 3: Threat to Western civilization. And later in the hour Gabriella Power.
- 0:46Speaker 4: We'll have more on the life and legacy of the
- 0:49Speaker 4: man many saw as a future president.
- 0:52Speaker 3: And we never forget left.
- 0:54Speaker 4: He is losing it tonight, featuring this awful woman.
- 0:58Speaker 5: The only people I have any empathy for in the
- 1:01Speaker 5: Charlie Kirk situation are his victims.
- 1:03Speaker 6: That is it.
- 1:05Speaker 4: Let's stick with the far left, the Australian far Left's
- 1:09Speaker 4: dangerously deranged reaction to the assassination of Charlie Kirk, a
- 1:13Speaker 4: brave conservative Christian father of Too, famous for his political debates.
- 1:19Speaker 4: Let's begin with radical feminist Clementine Ford, who shortly after
- 1:23Speaker 4: Charlie's death posted a series of vile rants, some from
- 1:28Speaker 4: her car, apparently condemning progressives who oppose political violence and
- 1:33Speaker 4: even explicitly calling for it.
- 1:37Speaker 7: There's still this impulse that so many white people have,
- 1:41Speaker 7: nice white, progressive, middle class white people have to respond
- 1:47Speaker 7: to things like this with these kind of very somber
- 1:51Speaker 7: faced violence is never the answer, likeck, what the heck
- 1:58Speaker 7: are you talking about?
- 2:00Speaker 6: But just remember he died doing what he loved, defending guns.
- 2:05Speaker 6: He took a bullet for the cause, and according to
- 2:07Speaker 6: Charlie Kirk, a few deaths a year from guns is
- 2:11Speaker 6: a small price to pay to defend the Second Amendment.
- 2:15Speaker 6: So what more could he possibly ask for.
- 2:18Speaker 7: It's a tribute and legacy to the pointlessness of his life.
- 2:22Speaker 3: You should be.
- 2:23Speaker 6: Glad that this is how he went out.
- 2:26Speaker 4: And if that wasn't bad enough, the New Daily published
- 2:29Speaker 4: a piece by the Australian Institute's Amy Romiekers, who wrote, sadly,
- 2:34Speaker 4: Charlie Kirk was killed in the America he wanted.
- 2:37Speaker 3: But will I mourn him? No?
- 2:40Speaker 4: I mourned for the people suffering in the world he
- 2:42Speaker 4: helped create and helped gloating dominion over. Kirk represented everything
- 2:47Speaker 4: we should.
- 2:48Speaker 3: Be pushing back against.
- 2:49Speaker 4: Tolerating the intolerable makes us all crueler and validates those
- 2:54Speaker 4: who have no compassion for anyone they don't understand. I
- 2:59Speaker 4: refuse to said the greatness in that I mourned the
- 3:02Speaker 4: loss of life, but not what Charlie Kirk did with his.
- 3:06Speaker 4: That woman is in desperate need of a mirror. The
- 3:10Speaker 4: New Daily has since removed that piece. The question needs
- 3:13Speaker 4: to be asked, why was it ever published?
- 3:16Speaker 3: And let's have a look at this.
- 3:17Speaker 4: Post from Cheek Media CEO Far Left influencer Hannah Ferguson.
- 3:22Speaker 4: In it, she writes, am I glad Charlie Kirk will
- 3:25Speaker 4: no longer spread his extremist messaging?
- 3:29Speaker 3: She answered that with yes, And.
- 3:31Speaker 4: She also asked is violence sometimes necessary?
- 3:35Speaker 3: And again she said yes.
- 3:37Speaker 4: Now that post was liked by none other than till
- 3:40Speaker 4: mp Zali Stegel, but she has since unliked it and
- 3:46Speaker 4: condemned Kirk's assassination and responds to a wave of criticism
- 3:51Speaker 4: in the media, although she still maintains that liking does.
- 3:55Speaker 3: Not equal endorsement.
- 3:57Speaker 4: So if you like a post on Instagram, it doesn't
- 3:59Speaker 4: mean you actually like it. Try to figure that out.
- 4:02Speaker 4: And finally we had this from Abby Chatfield.
- 4:05Speaker 3: Of course we did. She wrote he was.
- 4:07Speaker 4: A dangerous far right extremist who said that he doesn't
- 4:11Speaker 4: believe in empathy. He has said that the Civil Rights
- 4:13Speaker 4: Act was a huge mistake.
- 4:15Speaker 3: He has said that gay people should be stoned to death.
- 4:18Speaker 4: He has said that public executions should occur.
- 4:21Speaker 3: And be televised.
- 4:22Speaker 4: He has even said that if his daughter were ten
- 4:25Speaker 4: years old and were pregnant through rape, he would force
- 4:28Speaker 4: her to carry the child to turn. The man was evil.
- 4:31Speaker 4: Now what's evil is your deranged response the ugly hyperbole
- 4:37Speaker 4: and lies that I.
- 4:38Speaker 3: Just read out.
- 4:39Speaker 4: Joining me now is IPA Deputy executive director Daniel Wild. Dan,
- 4:46Speaker 4: have you seen the past four days Some of the
- 4:50Speaker 4: commentary has been beyond.
- 4:52Speaker 8: Unhinged, yall, I completely agree with you, Rita. I think
- 4:56Speaker 8: the mask has really slipped on the modern left and
- 5:00Speaker 8: what it is that they truly believe. You know, when
- 5:03Speaker 8: we've heard them say that words are violence, that was
- 5:07Speaker 8: sort of the permission structure that they created to you know,
- 5:11Speaker 8: sort of have this false equivalence between someone having you know,
- 5:15Speaker 8: hurt feelings therefore justifying violent actions against somebody else. And
- 5:20Speaker 8: so you know, these ideas have consequences.
- 5:24Speaker 3: You know.
- 5:24Speaker 8: What it also shows to me is that the Left
- 5:27Speaker 8: have no interest in debate. We saw that here with
- 5:30Speaker 8: the Voice to Parliament referendum, where if you oppose that,
- 5:33Speaker 8: you were just called a racist rather than actually having
- 5:35Speaker 8: a debate about it. Same with the gay marriage Plever site,
- 5:38Speaker 8: you were called homophobic and said it was insensitive to
- 5:41Speaker 8: debate and have a vote on that particular issue. So, look,
- 5:45Speaker 8: the Left really have no interest in engaging in debate.
- 5:48Speaker 8: They seek to dehumanize their political opponents, which then legitimizes
- 5:53Speaker 8: a whole range of actions, including the assassination of a
- 5:56Speaker 8: prominent public figure.
- 6:00Speaker 4: There is a growing list of people getting fired for
- 6:03Speaker 4: dancing on Charlie Kirk's gray, from MSNBC commentators to nurses
- 6:08Speaker 4: and teachers and even shop assistants. Let's have a look
- 6:12Speaker 4: at a few examples here. We've had a nurse in
- 6:14Speaker 4: Atlanta Children's Hospital. She was fired for posting f his kids,
- 6:20Speaker 4: f his ancestors, especially the b who birthed him Charming,
- 6:25Speaker 4: the assistant dean of students at Middle Tennessee State University,
- 6:29Speaker 4: was fired after she wrote looks like old Charlie spoke
- 6:33Speaker 4: his fate into existence. Hate begets hate, zero sympathy. DC
- 6:38Speaker 4: Comics has also fired author Gretchen fel kirk Martin and
- 6:42Speaker 4: terminated the latest comics series she wrote, called Red Hood,
- 6:46Speaker 4: after she posted thoughts and Prayers U Nazi b hoped
- 6:51Speaker 4: the bullets okay after touching Charlie kirk Dan. My opinion
- 6:57Speaker 4: is that sunlight is the best in dis infectant.
- 7:01Speaker 3: I'm glad these characters.
- 7:02Speaker 4: Fell emboldened enough to share their bile online, and I'm
- 7:07Speaker 4: not the least bit sorry that there are some consequences.
- 7:13Speaker 3: I agree.
- 7:14Speaker 8: I mean, there should be consequences. These people should lose
- 7:16Speaker 8: their job, you know. But the problem is that a
- 7:20Speaker 8: lot of these people that you mentioned just then and
- 7:21Speaker 8: earlier are not necessarily sort of fringe players. I mean,
- 7:25Speaker 8: you know, Abby Chatfield had Anthony Albanesi on her podcast,
- 7:29Speaker 8: you know, so it's sort of the leadership of the left,
- 7:33Speaker 8: the political leadership of the left, have sort of legitimized
- 7:36Speaker 8: the opinions of a lot of these a lot of
- 7:38Speaker 8: these individuals, so there's sort of that issue. I think
- 7:41Speaker 8: the other point here is that we've had a real
- 7:45Speaker 8: generation that's been brainwashed through our education system and through
- 7:49Speaker 8: the rabbit holes that they go down in the media
- 7:51Speaker 8: and the sort of echo chambers that they occupy. Now
- 7:53Speaker 8: that they really do believe these things because they've never
- 7:56Speaker 8: been challenged. And all you have to do is look
- 7:58Speaker 8: at Charlie Kirk's videos when he's university, and really all
- 8:01Speaker 8: it takes this two or three minutes of questioning of
- 8:04Speaker 8: one of these sort of radical activists, and their arguments
- 8:07Speaker 8: and their beliefs just don't hold up. They don't stand
- 8:09Speaker 8: up to any kind of scrutiny. So that's why they
- 8:12Speaker 8: actively avoid debate. Because their opinions and their conclusions, whether
- 8:16Speaker 8: it's on climate change or whether it's on identity politics
- 8:20Speaker 8: and transgenderism, I mean, they are absurd.
- 8:22Speaker 4: Dan, You're right about these characters normalizing this sort of
- 8:27Speaker 4: extremist rhetoric and the lies they operate on. I read
- 8:31Speaker 4: out one of the lies right there that's circulating from
- 8:34Speaker 4: Abby Chatfield saying that Charlie Kirk thought that gay should
- 8:38Speaker 4: be stoned to death. I mean just takes fifteen seconds
- 8:41Speaker 4: to check that out and realize it's not accurate. Don't
- 8:44Speaker 4: put it online. Now I'm going to ask you about
- 8:47Speaker 4: the latest news poll. It is disastrous for the Liberal Party.
- 8:50Speaker 4: For the coalition, Susan Lee has recorded the worst ever
- 8:55Speaker 4: primary vote. They're now sitting at a mere twenty seven
- 8:59Speaker 4: percent Labors thirty six percent.
- 9:01Speaker 3: That means the two party.
- 9:02Speaker 4: Preferred is currently fifty eight to forty two percent in
- 9:06Speaker 4: the ALP's favor. Dan, how much longer can Susan Lee
- 9:11Speaker 4: remain leader of the Liberal Party.
- 9:16Speaker 8: Well, that's the question, isn't it. Look, I don't know.
- 9:19Speaker 8: I'll leave this sort of the personalities to others, but
- 9:22Speaker 8: I'll make a broader comment about what these results show.
- 9:26Speaker 8: They show that the Liberal Parties moved to the left
- 9:28Speaker 8: has failed. The further to the left the Liberal Party goes,
- 9:33Speaker 8: they're lower they standing in the community, you know, and
- 9:35Speaker 8: we can see that very clearly from Scott Morrison when
- 9:38Speaker 8: he signed up to net zero. That was really the
- 9:41Speaker 8: beginning of this decline. And the reason for that is
- 9:44Speaker 8: because the community knows that the Liberal Party is not
- 9:47Speaker 8: being authentic. Authenticity is the key thing for any political
- 9:52Speaker 8: party and for the leadership of any political party and
- 9:55Speaker 8: voters think that you're pandering to them for sort of
- 9:59Speaker 8: craven political reasons and they'll mark you down for that.
- 10:03Speaker 8: So what mainstream Australians want is a clearly defined center
- 10:08Speaker 8: right party. They don't want to pay limitation of labor
- 10:12Speaker 8: and of the Greens. And that's exactly what's been happening.
- 10:14Speaker 8: And I'm not just criticized. I'm not criticizing Susan Lee.
- 10:18Speaker 8: This has been something that's been in the making now
- 10:20Speaker 8: for a number of years.
- 10:23Speaker 4: Dan, You're right, and having Susan Lee as leader isn't
- 10:26Speaker 4: going to fix that problem.
- 10:27Speaker 3: Thank you so much for your time tonight.
- 10:30Speaker 4: Joining me now is American Culture Projects Senior fellow and
- 10:33Speaker 4: best selling author Corey DeAngelis. Isn't Australia for seapack in
- 10:37Speaker 4: Brisbane this weekend now, Corey, like Charlie, your focus is
- 10:42Speaker 4: schools and academia. Charlie believed the greatest threat to Western
- 10:46Speaker 4: civilization is what's going on in our college campuses today.
- 10:50Speaker 4: And it starts well before that, doesn't it. The indoctrination
- 10:54Speaker 4: has become part of the curriculum.
- 10:56Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a total problem.
- 10:57Speaker 2: You think that these issues just started the the higher
- 11:00Speaker 2: education levels, but it actually is much deeper than that.
- 11:03Speaker 2: The government school system is ripping apart society and it's
- 11:07Speaker 2: very fabric and it's very core. At the K through
- 11:10Speaker 2: twelve level, you have far left radicals that have infiltrated
- 11:13Speaker 2: this government school system, that have figured out that they
- 11:15Speaker 2: can move the direction of our country without even having
- 11:18Speaker 2: their own kids, by controlling these elite institutions that spend
- 11:23Speaker 2: so much money, and they're turning these these students against
- 11:27Speaker 2: their own countries. So I mean, it's it's it's a
- 11:29Speaker 2: huge problem. And Charlie Kirk was right that, you know,
- 11:32Speaker 2: the these institutions that are supposed to be about learning
- 11:36Speaker 2: are a threat to civilization because of the divisiveness. You
- 11:41Speaker 2: look at the critical race theory studies, diversity.
- 11:43Speaker 3: Equity in.
- 11:46Speaker 4: Not just academia. It spreads from those college campuses. Those
- 11:51Speaker 4: graduates take it into the corporate world. So it's in
- 11:53Speaker 4: your highschad departments, it's in public institutions and private institutions.
- 11:58Speaker 4: And with saying that really the hostile manner that anyone
- 12:03Speaker 4: who deviates from leftist thought is treated on university campuses,
- 12:07Speaker 4: let's have a look at some students at Boston University
- 12:11Speaker 4: have called on campus leaders to protect them from violence
- 12:15Speaker 4: and intimidation, saying that they fear for their safety amid
- 12:20Speaker 4: on campus celebrations of Charlie Kirk's murder. And this is
- 12:24Speaker 4: just sickening, Cory. But this is the reality on university campuses.
- 12:29Speaker 4: And I don't think it's just restricted to the US.
- 12:32Speaker 4: It would be evident in the UK and right here
- 12:34Speaker 4: in Australia.
- 12:35Speaker 2: Yeah, in the US, we've seen a lot of anti
- 12:38Speaker 2: semitism on campus. We've seen these ideas pushed by the teachers'
- 12:41Speaker 2: unions as well at the keip the twelve level. And
- 12:44Speaker 2: President Trump has been going to war with these universities
- 12:48Speaker 2: and filing lawsuits against them, trying to stop them from
- 12:51Speaker 2: getting federal funding. And he's been dealt a lot of
- 12:53Speaker 2: victories lately, with Harvard University seeding ground, Columbia University and
- 12:59Speaker 2: others getting these hundreds of millions of dollars in settlements
- 13:03Speaker 2: paying out to the Trump administration for not being safe
- 13:06Speaker 2: for Jewish students. But it's even worse than that these
- 13:09Speaker 2: institutions aren't safe for conservative students. It's a one sided
- 13:13Speaker 2: political echo chamber. You look at Harvard University. For example,
- 13:16Speaker 2: ninety five percent of their campaign contributions from people affiliated
- 13:20Speaker 2: with Harvard University, according to Open Secrets, went to Democrats.
- 13:24Speaker 3: It's a money laundering operation.
- 13:25Speaker 4: Essentially, there was even five percent. I'm resuming that five
- 13:30Speaker 4: percent went to independent.
- 13:31Speaker 1: Candidate name Bernie Sanders.
- 13:33Speaker 3: Possibly. Now let's turn our attention. You mentioned the teachers unions.
- 13:37Speaker 4: Randy Wintergarden the president of the American Federation of Teachers Union.
- 13:43Speaker 4: This week she's speaking at a Teachers Against Fascists conference,
- 13:48Speaker 4: and let me guess, Siyakory, the fascists, in the eyes
- 13:51Speaker 4: of her and the teachers Unions are people like Charlie Kirk,
- 13:56Speaker 4: people like the president and more than half the that supports.
- 14:00Speaker 2: And basically anyone who is to the right of Karl
- 14:03Speaker 2: Marx must be a fascist, according to Randy Winegarten. And
- 14:05Speaker 2: she put out this book and she's still releasing it
- 14:08Speaker 2: on Tuesday, called why Fascist for Your Teachers? She copied
- 14:12Speaker 2: my book cover, by the way, and in my book
- 14:14Speaker 2: cover I called it the Parent Revolution. The word parent
- 14:17Speaker 2: wasn't read in her book. The word fascist is in read.
- 14:21Speaker 2: So it seems like she's calling parents fascist. The unions
- 14:24Speaker 2: think they own your kids and Randy Winegarten at a
- 14:27Speaker 2: time where we really need to tone it down in America.
- 14:29Speaker 2: She's continuing with her book toward to continue getting more sales.
- 14:32Speaker 2: She cares about herself, she doesn't care about the country.
- 14:36Speaker 4: And really, when you are calling your political opponents fascist
- 14:40Speaker 4: modern day Hitler's, when you're characterizing them in those absurd terms,
- 14:45Speaker 4: but terms that the left increasingly believed, then you really
- 14:49Speaker 4: are licensing some deranged person with a gun to kill them,
- 14:55Speaker 4: Because who wouldn't kill hit Life You could avoid what
- 15:00Speaker 4: after Hitla? You would do everything in your power to
- 15:02Speaker 4: do that. So they know precisely how dangerous it is that.
- 15:06Speaker 4: I know the history of violence from the left in
- 15:09Speaker 4: the past decade, but they will continue to do this
- 15:13Speaker 4: after the assassination attempt against President Trump and now what's
- 15:17Speaker 4: happened to Charlie.
- 15:19Speaker 3: It's incredible, I mean, it's insane.
- 15:21Speaker 2: And the left has been known to equate words with violence,
- 15:25Speaker 2: and so you're right when they continue to call people
- 15:28Speaker 2: like Trump and anyone on the right a fascist or
- 15:31Speaker 2: a dictator. Randy Weingarten was at an event in Chicago
- 15:36Speaker 2: just a week or two ago where she was calling
- 15:38Speaker 2: President Trump a pharaoh, saying that he was worse than
- 15:41Speaker 2: all the pharaohs, and in Exodus in the Bible, the
- 15:43Speaker 2: Pharaoh wouldn't let God's people free, and he ordered the
- 15:47Speaker 2: mass killings of newborn Israelites. So just insane. The rhetoric
- 15:53Speaker 2: has been turned up to volume eleven.
- 15:55Speaker 4: Whilst the left says, let's lower the temperature.
- 15:58Speaker 3: After time, it is.
- 15:59Speaker 2: Just total gas lighting, total hipocrips, rejection.
- 16:03Speaker 4: And gas lighting. That's all they have. Corey Deangelas, thank
- 16:06Speaker 4: you so much for your time.
- 16:07Speaker 1: Thanks for having me.
- 16:07Speaker 3: Reader still to cam Lefties losing It.
- 16:10Speaker 4: Plus, I'll speak to a close friend of Charlie Kirk
- 16:13Speaker 4: and he has plenty to say about the modern left's
- 16:16Speaker 4: taste for violence.
- 16:18Speaker 3: Josh Hammer is up next.
- 16:31Speaker 4: You're watching the Reader Patty Show, and it's time for
- 16:33Speaker 4: Lefties losing it and the broken, soulless schools of the
- 16:38Speaker 4: Left have really disgraced themselves in recent days after the
- 16:41Speaker 4: murder of a great American, Charlie Kirk. No matter how
- 16:45Speaker 4: low our opinion, our expectations of these miserable miscreants of
- 16:50Speaker 4: the Left, they still manage to surprise us with the
- 16:54Speaker 4: depth of their depravity.
- 16:56Speaker 6: The sympathy for Charlie Kirk is looking weird.
- 16:59Speaker 9: You want to word, don't go ahead and google Charlie Kirk.
- 17:02Speaker 1: They got him in the net rapid piece boso.
- 17:05Speaker 6: I do not feel bad for him in the slightest.
- 17:08Speaker 10: Putting down like a dog in Utah, and I could not.
- 17:11Speaker 3: Be happier Charlie would have wandered it this way.
- 17:14Speaker 11: He's been one of the most divisive younger figures who
- 17:17Speaker 11: is constantly swishing hate speech.
- 17:25Speaker 12: I think it's worth to have a cost a key
- 17:30Speaker 12: Charlie Kirk.
- 17:32Speaker 10: The rhetoric of Charlie Kirk, the way that he condoned
- 17:34Speaker 10: violence exactly like this.
- 17:36Speaker 6: And how it came back to hurt him.
- 17:38Speaker 1: Everything that we're seeing with the Trump regime it.
- 17:41Speaker 3: Stems from Charlie Kirk.
- 17:42Speaker 13: And we don't know if this was a supporter shooting
- 17:44Speaker 13: their gun off in celebration.
- 17:47Speaker 3: Now Here are two witches.
- 17:49Speaker 4: The first is planning to celebrate the next assassination.
- 17:53Speaker 3: These people are demonic.
- 17:57Speaker 14: If you were gonna get the job up done, there
- 18:02Speaker 14: were two better candidates. And furthermore, when that happens, and
- 18:15Speaker 14: it will, it will.
- 18:22Speaker 6: Not only will.
- 18:22Speaker 14: We be insensitive, that'll be the least of your words.
- 18:35Speaker 3: It's gonna be.
- 18:37Speaker 14: The biggest celebration, the biggest, most beautiful celebration.
- 18:47Speaker 3: Hideous, just hideous antics.
- 18:50Speaker 4: And here is one hot left troll, a vicious and
- 18:53Speaker 4: callous left is straight from Central Casting. Sadly for us,
- 18:57Speaker 4: this one's Australian.
- 18:59Speaker 5: Pretending that you don't enjoy a terrible person's death is
- 19:03Speaker 5: not dignified.
- 19:04Speaker 3: It's cowardly.
- 19:05Speaker 6: And this is.
- 19:05Speaker 5: Exactly how we got here, because this is what Trump
- 19:08Speaker 5: is an absolute master at. He is a master at
- 19:12Speaker 5: saying the worst, most uncomfortable things, and people on the
- 19:16Speaker 5: left just sitting there going, oh, I'm too scared to
- 19:19Speaker 5: say what I really think. You just go along with that,
- 19:21Speaker 5: You say nothing because it's not uncomfortable enough for you.
- 19:25Speaker 6: The only people I.
- 19:26Speaker 5: Have any empathy for in the Charlie Kirk situation are
- 19:29Speaker 5: his victims.
- 19:30Speaker 6: That is it.
- 19:32Speaker 4: Now, instead of reflecting on the utter evil of what
- 19:36Speaker 4: she said there, what she had chosen to share on
- 19:39Speaker 4: the world Wide Web, well, instead of reflecting on that,
- 19:43Speaker 4: she decided to double down on the ugliness, on the bile,
- 19:47Speaker 4: on the depraved lunacy.
- 19:50Speaker 5: All of the drama want to reiterate that it is
- 19:53Speaker 5: not wrong or unethical or unkind to laugh at the
- 19:57Speaker 5: misfortunes of terrible people. That Charlie Kirk incited violence, That's
- 20:02Speaker 5: what he did, and then that came back to haunt him.
- 20:06Speaker 5: That was his decision. So it's got nothing to do
- 20:10Speaker 5: with the people who are laughing and joking about him
- 20:13Speaker 5: becoming a human water fountain.
- 20:16Speaker 4: Just foul, vicious, deranged hate. What else can you say
- 20:20Speaker 4: about that. Let's have a brief and antidote to that ugliness.
- 20:25Speaker 4: Let's hear from Jeffrey Star, the original the OG influencer.
- 20:30Speaker 4: He had a message for those celebrating Charlie Kirk's murder.
- 20:34Speaker 13: Because I'm standing up for someone that passed away, I'm
- 20:36Speaker 13: now being called names in the chat. This is what's
- 20:38Speaker 13: wrong with the load of you people. If you will
- 20:40Speaker 13: never get by in life, you were sick in the head.
- 20:42Speaker 13: Someone just said there unsubscribing from me, Thank god, please,
- 20:45Speaker 13: because if you believe in vandams, you're part of the problem.
- 20:50Speaker 13: If you're so stupid enough to go against science, please
- 20:54Speaker 13: unfollow me. You can be whoever you want to be,
- 20:59Speaker 13: but there's science and those facts.
- 21:03Speaker 3: You can pretend in your head. You're a cat.
- 21:05Speaker 12: You can pretend in your head that you're.
- 21:07Speaker 3: This and you're that.
- 21:07Speaker 13: Good for you, You're still on the airb and the
- 21:10Speaker 13: truth hurts a lot of you.
- 21:11Speaker 4: I see, and huge props to Jeffrey's staff for that.
- 21:15Speaker 4: He posted plenty more on the issue. His following is enormous.
- 21:19Speaker 4: He has over thirteen million followers on Instagram alone and
- 21:23Speaker 4: many more on TikTok, and many of them are.
- 21:27Speaker 3: Of the left.
- 21:28Speaker 4: He pays a big price every time he speaks up,
- 21:30Speaker 4: and that takes courage, and it's all about courage and
- 21:34Speaker 4: conviction if you want to know why Charlie's work was
- 21:37Speaker 4: so important, so important in giving confidence to students to
- 21:42Speaker 4: speak freely, to conservatives, to boldly state their position in
- 21:46Speaker 4: the face of enormous intimidation on university campuses.
- 21:51Speaker 3: Let's have a look at this clip.
- 21:52Speaker 4: This intimidation is not just from radicalized students, it's also
- 21:56Speaker 4: from academia. Listen to what happened to this young man.
- 22:00Speaker 1: What happened.
- 22:01Speaker 10: I was walking to Valhalla to get my food exchange
- 22:03Speaker 10: and PHG student Patrick Mahoney as well as his accomplice
- 22:06Speaker 10: Gerald Hoff, did not like the hat I was wearing,
- 22:08Speaker 10: and when my head was down, I made zero eye
- 22:11Speaker 10: contact with him. He saw my hat, He ripped the
- 22:13Speaker 10: hat off, my head crumbled it. I had to go
- 22:15Speaker 10: confront him and said, what are you doing to what happened?
- 22:17Speaker 5: Next?
- 22:17Speaker 10: He charged on me after grabbed my chest, slammed it
- 22:19Speaker 10: on the road payment. Then he grabbed my head and
- 22:22Speaker 10: also slammed it on the road pavement as well.
- 22:24Speaker 12: And this was a professor, right, Yeah, If a conservative
- 22:26Speaker 12: professor would have hunted down a Kamala Harris wearing student,
- 22:29Speaker 12: it would have been a hate crime and the number
- 22:31Speaker 12: one news story in the country. Now we could barely
- 22:33Speaker 12: get attention for a young man who was punched by
- 22:35Speaker 12: a professor here at Washington State University. They're the ones
- 22:38Speaker 12: dividing the country, were the ones trying to.
- 22:40Speaker 4: Hear They're the ones dividing the country. Charlie was trying
- 22:44Speaker 4: to bring it together through respectful debate. But how do
- 22:48Speaker 4: you debate people like this?
- 22:51Speaker 6: I have breaking news. We think that Charlie Kirk.
- 22:58Speaker 3: Just got shot in the neck.
- 23:00Speaker 15: Hey lived by the sword, die by the sword.
- 23:23Speaker 16: There are some people on this app that are sitting
- 23:25Speaker 16: there saying, oh, you shouldn't wish death upon any person,
- 23:28Speaker 16: no matter what.
- 23:29Speaker 1: Side they're on.
- 23:31Speaker 3: That that Charlie Kirk was a Nazi. He was a Nazi.
- 23:37Speaker 4: And you know what kind of nazis the that's Nazi,
- 23:39Speaker 4: a dead one.
- 23:41Speaker 17: Gather around, Let's all join hands and bow our heads
- 23:45Speaker 17: in thoughts and prayers for Charlie Kirk.
- 23:48Speaker 6: Thoughts and prayers for Charlie Cook, thoughts and presers, thoughts
- 23:55Speaker 6: and prayers.
- 23:57Speaker 3: I'm not sad.
- 23:58Speaker 15: It's about time comer got that trash.
- 24:03Speaker 6: Charlie Kirk was a big advocate for the Second Amendment.
- 24:08Speaker 6: It worked out well for him.
- 24:09Speaker 18: The best part of this whole goddamn thing is that
- 24:12Speaker 18: he is not martyr.
- 24:14Speaker 9: Material, so his death will mean nothing. It will activate
- 24:19Speaker 9: no one.
- 24:20Speaker 4: It will mean nothing. Charlie's death will mean nothing. It
- 24:24Speaker 4: will impact no one.
- 24:25Speaker 9: Really, it will activate no one.
- 25:00Speaker 4: The bile field left cannot comprehend the outpouring of goodwill
- 25:09Speaker 4: for Charlie from ordinary people around the world, from world leaders,
- 25:13Speaker 4: from artists like Coldplay and Morgan Wollen, and the tributes
- 25:18Speaker 4: for Charlie have poured in from sporting leagues as well,
- 25:21Speaker 4: formerly painfully woke sporting leagues like the NFL and Major
- 25:26Speaker 4: League Baseball. This is the Dallas Cowboys paying tribute to
- 25:30Speaker 4: Charlie Kirk and tributes to at college football games. Here
- 25:34Speaker 4: is LSU honoring Charlie on the weekend in.
- 25:38Speaker 3: Front of more than one hundred and two thousand fans. S.
- 25:41Speaker 6: Then you join us at.
- 25:42Speaker 11: A moment of replace and following the murders of Charlie
- 25:45Speaker 11: Kirk and or guitar arenas or Root's going.
- 25:48Speaker 5: To sign.
- 25:53Speaker 4: Us and I would hear this next tribute shows you
- 25:58Speaker 4: how much the cold has shifted. This wouldn't have happened
- 26:02Speaker 4: ten years ago. It wouldn't have happened a year ago.
- 26:05Speaker 4: The New York Yankees and the bluest of blue cities
- 26:08Speaker 4: in a blue state, paid tribute to the Happy Warrior,
- 26:12Speaker 4: the man who changed so many hearts and minds. And
- 26:16Speaker 4: earlier today, the New York Jets this tribute to Charlie
- 26:19Speaker 4: Kirk's legacy before their game against the Buffalo Bills.
- 26:23Speaker 3: Again, this is New Jersey, folks, not Texas. This is
- 26:26Speaker 3: a blue state. Watch this.
- 26:41Speaker 4: And the tribute from the Jets did not end there,
- 26:43Speaker 4: as the crowd chanted USA. A video of Charlie and
- 26:47Speaker 4: a message from his widow, Erica, played at the stadium.
- 27:08Speaker 4: Joining me now is Newsweek's senior editor at large and
- 27:12Speaker 4: Article three projects Senior Council Josh Hammer. Josh, that's something
- 27:16Speaker 4: special that shows the impact Charlie Kirk had. They thought
- 27:21Speaker 4: that killer's influence by taking his life, they failed.
- 27:27Speaker 19: Let me just first say, this has been really hard.
- 27:30Speaker 19: This has been a really really hard week or so, Charlie.
- 27:34Speaker 19: They were pretty close. I've known him for any number
- 27:36Speaker 19: of years, where we really became close over the past
- 27:39Speaker 19: year and a half two years. We were in virtually
- 27:41Speaker 19: daily contact. Actually I spoke with him less than twenty
- 27:44Speaker 19: four hours before he was assassinated. Actually, I was helping
- 27:48Speaker 19: to prep him for this very campus tour, especially when
- 27:50Speaker 19: it came to the inevitable bombardment of anti Israel questions there.
- 27:55Speaker 19: And this is an irreplaceable void, is a gantu and
- 28:00Speaker 19: void that the American right. I mean, we have lost
- 28:04Speaker 19: not merely a foot soldier. We have lost not merely
- 28:06Speaker 19: a colonel or lieutenant. We have lost a five star general.
- 28:09Speaker 19: We have lost one of the absolute titans of our
- 28:12Speaker 19: broader battle to save America and by extension, save Western civilization.
- 28:16Speaker 19: We have likely lost a future president of the United States.
- 28:19Speaker 19: That that is likely the path that my fallen friend,
- 28:23Speaker 19: Charlie Kirk was very much on. But I guess what
- 28:27Speaker 19: I didn't necessarily appreciate, kind of taking it back to
- 28:29Speaker 19: the sports teams, I didn't necessarily fully appreciate the extent
- 28:35Speaker 19: of Charlie's penetration of the broader culture. I know him
- 28:38Speaker 19: as someone who I would frequently dialogue with about the issues.
- 28:41Speaker 19: I know him as someone who, you know, I would
- 28:44Speaker 19: go to Turning Point USA events. I know him as
- 28:46Speaker 19: someone who I would go on his show and we
- 28:48Speaker 19: were you know, But I didn't necessarily appreciate that you
- 28:51Speaker 19: would have country music megastars like Morgan Wallen and Jason
- 28:55Speaker 19: al Dean give out tributes mid concert to the grieving
- 28:58Speaker 19: widow of Charlie Eric k I didn't necessarily appreciate that
- 29:02Speaker 19: all but four, I believe, of the NFL teams had
- 29:05Speaker 19: had a moment of silence to trust, which.
- 29:07Speaker 1: Is extraordinary stuff.
- 29:09Speaker 19: I mean, you're totally right when you say that the
- 29:11Speaker 19: NFL was about as woke as it gets. They literally
- 29:13Speaker 19: had end racism in the end zone. I think they
- 29:15Speaker 19: probably still do in most of it, and they still
- 29:17Speaker 19: have end racism in the end zones. As a tribute
- 29:20Speaker 19: to twenty twenty, the Black Lives matter ANTIFA stuff, but nonetheless,
- 29:25Speaker 19: Charlie was such a larger than life figure, even at
- 29:27Speaker 19: the tender age of thirty one years old, that they
- 29:31Speaker 19: felt compelled to honor him. So, you know, I am
- 29:35Speaker 19: personally not fully past the morning and grieving period.
- 29:38Speaker 3: Rita.
- 29:38Speaker 19: Again, it's been very difficult for a lot of us.
- 29:41Speaker 19: I was speaking at a conference out of Las Vegas
- 29:43Speaker 19: this past Friday, and all of us out there were
- 29:45Speaker 19: kind of memorializing Charlie and our speeches there. It's really
- 29:48Speaker 19: hitting the American conservative community really really hard. But I
- 29:51Speaker 19: didn't fully appreciate just how much he penetrated not just
- 29:55Speaker 19: American conservatives, really kind of the broader American and frankly
- 29:58Speaker 19: broader global culture.
- 30:00Speaker 3: Josh, you and Charlie were close.
- 30:02Speaker 4: How difficult has it been to see the unhinged ugliness
- 30:07Speaker 4: of the left, the celebration of your friend's death, the
- 30:11Speaker 4: rationalizations and the lies.
- 30:14Speaker 19: Yeah, reader, it's it's most visceral reminder of evil in
- 30:18Speaker 19: our midst evil in this realm, at least since October seventh.
- 30:23Speaker 19: This is this has been the personally saddest that I
- 30:25Speaker 19: have been since October seventh. And it's also just the
- 30:28Speaker 19: most visceral reminder that there was such profound, unmitigated evil.
- 30:33Speaker 19: And you know, some of these specific details are I mean,
- 30:37Speaker 19: I don't even have words for this. I mean demonic, satanic,
- 30:41Speaker 19: I mean out of the pits of Hell, I mean
- 30:44Speaker 19: us of a verbide you want to do? You know
- 30:46Speaker 19: the University of Louisville and Kentucky that there was some
- 30:49Speaker 19: caricature on a bulletin board saying debate this, and it
- 30:53Speaker 19: was I guess a caricatured version of Charlie getting a
- 30:56Speaker 19: bullet into the neck. There there was some other story
- 30:58Speaker 19: that I saw of like a third or a fourth
- 31:01Speaker 19: grade elementary school teacher showing the video of him getting
- 31:04Speaker 19: shot to the students there. I mean, you know, this
- 31:07Speaker 19: is someone who should not merely be fired from being
- 31:09Speaker 19: an elementary school teacher. That person should be publicly flogged,
- 31:12Speaker 19: like literally flogged with lashes in the town square and
- 31:16Speaker 19: probably sent to a mental asylum there. But this is
- 31:19Speaker 19: probably the most tragic part of all is that in
- 31:22Speaker 19: a way this assassination.
- 31:24Speaker 1: Was somewhat predictable.
- 31:26Speaker 19: It really is shockingly similar to what happened to Donald
- 31:29Speaker 19: Trump and Butler. Pennsylvania have a very similar situation there
- 31:31Speaker 19: but left wing political violence has been a menace in
- 31:34Speaker 19: this country for years and years and years, and going
- 31:37Speaker 19: at least as far back as the twenty twelve Floyd
- 31:40Speaker 19: Lee Corkinson attempted shooting in the Family Research Council of Washington.
- 31:43Speaker 19: See the James Hodgkinson shooting of the congressional baseball team
- 31:47Speaker 19: in suburban Virginia in twenty seventeen, and on and on
- 31:50Speaker 19: and on we go. This is just the highest profile
- 31:52Speaker 19: example there. But the percentage of Democrats who say, rita
- 31:56Speaker 19: that they could see themselves justifying the assassination of Donald
- 31:59Speaker 19: Trump or the politicalponents. In a recent poll, I saw
- 32:02Speaker 19: the ones who said that they could they could foresee
- 32:03Speaker 19: this world of justifying it was over fifty percent. I mean,
- 32:07Speaker 19: I'm sorry not to put too fine a point on it.
- 32:10Speaker 19: This is how republics die like This is literally how
- 32:13Speaker 19: a self governing people loses the ability to govern itself.
- 32:17Speaker 19: When we cease to have our debates with the pen
- 32:20Speaker 19: and the keyboard at the ballot box there, and when
- 32:22Speaker 19: we start having our debates through the sword and bullets
- 32:25Speaker 19: and rifles there, that's it. That's game over there. The
- 32:28Speaker 19: stakes are really, really, really high, And I don't think
- 32:31Speaker 19: the left realizes what they're doing there. But we have
- 32:33Speaker 19: to fight back with all we've got there because we're
- 32:35Speaker 19: not going to let them destroy this country and destroy
- 32:36Speaker 19: Western civilization by extension.
- 32:40Speaker 4: Well, the left not only lied about Charlie, but they've
- 32:44Speaker 4: lied about the suspect, the man arrested for his murder.
- 32:49Speaker 4: They tried to paint this suspect as maga. They created
- 32:53Speaker 4: a fake image of him in a Trump shirt.
- 32:56Speaker 3: But Josh, this.
- 32:57Speaker 4: Suspect is precisely what you'd expect, a hate field, radical,
- 33:03Speaker 4: far left agitator who hated conservatives. What more can you
- 33:09Speaker 4: tell me about this suspect and the man, the man
- 33:11Speaker 4: who identifies as a woman and is reportedly transitioning, who
- 33:16Speaker 4: lived with the suspect was according to authorities, and relationship
- 33:20Speaker 4: with him and is now helping authorities.
- 33:23Speaker 19: Yeah, it looks It looks an awful lot to me
- 33:26Speaker 19: like Charlie Kirk was was murdered by transgender actors. I mean,
- 33:30Speaker 19: and if you actually look at the at the moment
- 33:34Speaker 19: that the assassin's bullet fled, it was likely deliberately timed.
- 33:37Speaker 19: Charlie was in the middle of answering a question from
- 33:40Speaker 19: an audience member there at the rally about transgender inspired
- 33:44Speaker 19: mass shootings. That was literally the last question that Charlie
- 33:47Speaker 19: kirk Hurd in his life. That's when the assassin sent
- 33:50Speaker 19: this bullet.
- 33:50Speaker 3: There.
- 33:51Speaker 19: Now, this individual you know, whose name I would say
- 33:54Speaker 19: this is my personal policy. He grew up in a
- 33:57Speaker 19: conservative Mormon family in World, Utah. His parents are still
- 34:01Speaker 19: redist Republicans this day. They went hunting. That's perhaps how
- 34:05Speaker 19: he learned how to use a rifle with a scope.
- 34:08Speaker 1: There.
- 34:08Speaker 19: And this person was clearly profoundly radicalized, profoundly radicalized by
- 34:13Speaker 19: the college campus, profoundly radicalized by going down the pits
- 34:16Speaker 19: of hell on websites and exchanges like Reddit. And you know,
- 34:21Speaker 19: there's something psychologically to be said for this. I can't
- 34:24Speaker 19: help but wonder that if some of these folks who
- 34:27Speaker 19: come from good, kind of god fearing conservative backgrounds and
- 34:32Speaker 19: then kind of fall down the pits of hell on
- 34:34Speaker 19: university campuses there, I kind of wonder if they have
- 34:36Speaker 19: something of a chip on their shoulder where they feel
- 34:38Speaker 19: that they kind of have to maybe kind of you know,
- 34:40Speaker 19: do something radical to atone for their conservative family the
- 34:43Speaker 19: way they're raised there. So I'm kind of coming to
- 34:45Speaker 19: this conclusion on the spot. But I wonder if the
- 34:48Speaker 19: most dangerous would be assassins and messuares in America. Are
- 34:52Speaker 19: action people radicalized from red states, from conservative families there,
- 34:56Speaker 19: and then they go really really off the deep end there.
- 34:58Speaker 19: I'm not sure that's right, honestly, but it's kind of
- 35:00Speaker 19: a thesis that I'm working on right now there. But
- 35:03Speaker 19: more to the point, you know, the left is saying
- 35:05Speaker 19: that this is like a neo Nazi, is a groper,
- 35:07Speaker 19: you know, he's like a Nick Flentes type there. Now
- 35:11Speaker 19: this guy is he's literally a transgender furry X Mormon.
- 35:15Speaker 19: That is who this person is there. And it's just
- 35:19Speaker 19: unfathomable that we've had another transgender inspired act of violence
- 35:25Speaker 19: theory again, like like literally just like a week and
- 35:27Speaker 19: a half tweaks after the Nunciations church shooting in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
- 35:32Speaker 1: When will it stop? When will it stop? There?
- 35:34Speaker 19: And I just asked yet again, I mean asked this
- 35:36Speaker 19: question for a long time, when will America have a
- 35:38Speaker 19: serious conversation about the mental disease that is transgenderism?
- 35:45Speaker 4: Now, I want to ask you about Charlie's widow, Erica.
- 35:48Speaker 4: She spoke in the last forty eight hours, showed enormous courage,
- 35:54Speaker 4: and she was very clear that she was going to
- 35:59Speaker 4: you the grief she feels, the anger she feels, to
- 36:02Speaker 4: make sure Charlie's mission is fulfilled. You know, Erica, tell
- 36:07Speaker 4: me a little bit about her and how you and
- 36:12Speaker 4: others around her will help her achieve this.
- 36:15Speaker 19: Well, that speech was extraordinary, wasn't it. That was one
- 36:18Speaker 19: of the most extraordinary acts of oration, rhetoric, and frankly
- 36:22Speaker 19: just outright bravery, valor and bravery.
- 36:24Speaker 1: That was an.
- 36:25Speaker 19: Extraordinary speech that Erkirk delivered from the Turning Point USA
- 36:29Speaker 19: headquarters Charlie Studio this this past Friday in the United States.
- 36:34Speaker 19: I was personally just absolutely blown away. And the speech
- 36:36Speaker 19: basically speaks for itself. I mean, I mean, I mean,
- 36:38Speaker 19: you see someone who is extremely well spoken, who was
- 36:42Speaker 19: in control of her of her emotions, even in the
- 36:45Speaker 19: most trying of all situations, a horrific situation like this,
- 36:49Speaker 19: someone who was eloquent, someone who was passionate there and
- 36:53Speaker 19: really above all in that particular moment, someone who is really,
- 36:57Speaker 19: really really set on continuing her hin's legacy and continuing
- 37:02Speaker 19: his work and making sure that that legacy, in that
- 37:04Speaker 19: work did not die with the Assassin's Bull of this
- 37:07Speaker 19: past Wednesday in Aura, Utah.
- 37:09Speaker 16: There.
- 37:09Speaker 19: So look, we'll see who actually heads up Turning Point
- 37:12Speaker 19: in USA. I don't know who that person will be.
- 37:14Speaker 19: Maybe it'll be Erica Kirk, maybe maybe it will be
- 37:16Speaker 19: someone else there. I know that you will definitely be
- 37:19Speaker 19: involved very closely one way or the other, clearly and
- 37:22Speaker 19: making sure that Charlie's legacy and all his work does
- 37:24Speaker 19: not go to waste.
- 37:25Speaker 1: And by the way, just just some quick.
- 37:26Speaker 19: Numbers, you know, just in the first four or five
- 37:30Speaker 19: days after Charlie's death, Turning Point in USA apparently received
- 37:33Speaker 19: roughly thirty two thousand requests thirty two thousand requests from
- 37:37Speaker 19: high schools and universities in America to start new chapters,
- 37:41Speaker 19: which is way more they have currently total.
- 37:45Speaker 1: So this thing is taken off.
- 37:46Speaker 19: So when Erica Kirk said this past Friday that they
- 37:49Speaker 19: have no idea what they've started, because they have lit
- 37:51Speaker 19: a fire under an entire generation or more of American
- 37:54Speaker 19: assert is we're actually literally already seeing some preliminary data
- 37:58Speaker 19: that supports that proposition there and in these very very
- 38:01Speaker 19: dark moments Rita that ultimately what gives me solace and
- 38:04Speaker 19: some hope.
- 38:07Speaker 3: She said it all.
- 38:09Speaker 4: She said, they don't know what they've unleashed, and I
- 38:12Speaker 4: have full confidence she's going to continue that incredible.
- 38:15Speaker 3: Work now, Josh.
- 38:16Speaker 4: Earlier today, there were massive lines around the Kennedy Center
- 38:20Speaker 4: as DC locals lined up to pay tribute to Charlie.
- 38:24Speaker 4: Caroline Leavitt, White House pro Secretary, was among those to
- 38:28Speaker 4: speak about Charlie's impact.
- 38:31Speaker 20: Charlie Kirk was a Maverick, an independent minded person who
- 38:34Speaker 20: had the courage of his convictions. When so many influential
- 38:38Speaker 20: voices in our society are brainwashing young people to abandon
- 38:42Speaker 20: our feet, to stay single, not to have children, and
- 38:45Speaker 20: to bash our country, Charlie Kirk offered us an alternative path.
- 38:50Speaker 20: Charlie embraced our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and proclaimed
- 38:54Speaker 20: the Gospel boldly and proudly.
- 39:00Speaker 4: Charlie's faith was so important to him and today RFK
- 39:04Speaker 4: Junior spoke about the impact Charlie had on a family member.
- 39:11Speaker 11: My seventeen year old niece loved for a Europe to
- 39:15Speaker 11: go to college, and while she was packing her mother, Amarella's,
- 39:20Speaker 11: my daughter in Lot noticed that she had put a
- 39:24Speaker 11: Bible in her suitcase and Amarellas was curious about him,
- 39:30Speaker 11: and she asked her, and so he said to her,
- 39:34Speaker 11: I want to live like Charlie Kirk.
- 39:42Speaker 4: Oh, that says it all. Charlie's faith was integral to
- 39:46Speaker 4: his work. They had plenty of non believers who supported him,
- 39:49Speaker 4: but he really believed that the battle we are facing
- 39:53Speaker 4: is of biblical proportions.
- 39:57Speaker 1: Yes, he did. You know, Look I readA.
- 39:59Speaker 19: America is still a disproportionately religious Christian country relatives to
- 40:04Speaker 19: most Western countries, and especially Republican politics conservative movement. So
- 40:07Speaker 19: because of that, they have a lot of people, whether
- 40:10Speaker 19: they are elected Republicans or conservative commentators, talkers, writers who
- 40:15Speaker 19: kind of talk the talk of Christianity. They like to
- 40:17Speaker 19: kind of thump a Bible here or there, but they
- 40:19Speaker 19: don't really actually believe it. They're just kind of saying
- 40:21Speaker 19: it for optics.
- 40:21Speaker 4: There.
- 40:22Speaker 19: Charlie Kirk did not just talk the talk. He won
- 40:25Speaker 19: a thousand percent walked the walk. He was someone who
- 40:28Speaker 19: was a sincerely principled, devout Christian. There he believed in
- 40:33Speaker 19: the Bible. And by the way, more to the point,
- 40:35Speaker 19: I think one of the reasons that Charlie Nun became
- 40:36Speaker 19: closer over the past you know, a couple of years,
- 40:39Speaker 19: give or take. Is that as I became a more
- 40:41Speaker 19: religious observant Jew, we found so much in common there.
- 40:44Speaker 19: Because Charlie's Christianity is the Christianity of the of the
- 40:47Speaker 19: American founding is the is the Christianity of George Washington,
- 40:50Speaker 19: John Adams, Alexander Hamilton, Americans founders.
- 40:53Speaker 1: Which is that?
- 40:53Speaker 19: Which to say, that is a Christianity that understood that
- 40:57Speaker 19: its well spring is in the Hebrew Bible and the
- 40:59Speaker 19: old Estaments. Charlie was a living, breathing example of this.
- 41:03Speaker 19: He actually literally kept his version of the Sabbath. He
- 41:06Speaker 19: actually turned his phone off over the twenty four to
- 41:08Speaker 19: twenty five hours of the Jewish cheer from Friday, from
- 41:11Speaker 19: Friday night to Saturday night. He actually was working on
- 41:13Speaker 19: a book on the Sabbath. God will in that book
- 41:15Speaker 19: will still come out. This is this December. So he
- 41:18Speaker 19: really really really lived this in a very visceral way.
- 41:22Speaker 19: You can kind of see it as well over the
- 41:24Speaker 19: points that he emphasized over the course of his Turning
- 41:26Speaker 19: Point USA career. So when Turning Point USA was founded
- 41:29Speaker 19: years ago, it was founded initially as kind of a
- 41:32Speaker 19: big government sucks, you know, you know, screw socialism, kind
- 41:35Speaker 19: of platform, you know, kind of rain in the debt,
- 41:36Speaker 19: a lot of economic issues there. I'm not saying that
- 41:38Speaker 19: he stopped caring about those issues, but as he got older,
- 41:41Speaker 19: as he as he married Erica, as he has he
- 41:43Speaker 19: had children. You know, it's kind of it's kind of
- 41:45Speaker 19: a very similar evolution I've seen in my own life.
- 41:47Speaker 12: There.
- 41:47Speaker 19: You start, you start kind of focusing on some other
- 41:49Speaker 19: issues and his message again, he didn't ditch the economic stuff,
- 41:53Speaker 19: but he was increasingly focused on trying to talk to
- 41:56Speaker 19: young men, drafting say, here's how you can improve your lives.
- 41:59Speaker 19: That girl, ask her how to date, that girl, ask
- 42:02Speaker 19: her hand in marriage, go have children, go to church,
- 42:05Speaker 19: you know, go read scripture there. I mean, the message
- 42:07Speaker 19: really changed. He was really trying to speak to young
- 42:11Speaker 19: men and maybe above all a very vulnerable demographic in America.
- 42:14Speaker 19: He was really kind of the voice of that. And again,
- 42:16Speaker 19: we've lost just a completely irreplaceable void. I don't have
- 42:19Speaker 19: a single name to point you to say that person's
- 42:21Speaker 19: going to fill that void there. I don't know where
- 42:23Speaker 19: it's going to come from there, but he really did
- 42:25Speaker 19: it all, honestly.
- 42:28Speaker 3: Josh Hamma, thank you. So much.
- 42:30Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 42:32Speaker 4: Still to come more on the life and legacy of
- 42:35Speaker 4: the man many saw as destined to be president.
- 42:38Speaker 3: Gabriella Power joins.
- 42:40Speaker 21: Me next, Welcome back.
- 42:53Speaker 4: Charlie Kirk's heartbroken wife, Erica has delivered a powerful message.
- 42:58Speaker 3: She had this to say.
- 42:59Speaker 4: To the killer and those who incited this murder, this assassination.
- 43:05Speaker 3: They don't know what they've unleashed. The evildoers.
- 43:10Speaker 16: Responsible for my husband's assassination have no idea what they
- 43:17Speaker 16: have done. They killed Charlie because he preached a message
- 43:23Speaker 16: of patriotism, faith and of God's merciful love. But they
- 43:31Speaker 16: should all know this. If you thought that my husband's
- 43:36Speaker 16: mission was powerful before, you have no idea. You have
- 43:44Speaker 16: no idea what you just have unleashed across this entire country,
- 43:50Speaker 16: in this world. You have no idea. You have no
- 43:54Speaker 16: idea the fire that you have ignited within this wife.
- 44:01Speaker 3: The cries of this widow.
- 44:03Speaker 16: Will echo around the world like a battle cry.
- 44:09Speaker 4: Joining me now is the host of Power Hour, Gabriella Power.
- 44:13Speaker 4: Gab we finally know more about Charlie Kirk's alleged killer,
- 44:17Speaker 4: twenty two year old Tyler Robinson, who was turned in
- 44:20Speaker 4: by his own father. It's been revealed that before his arrest,
- 44:23Speaker 4: he went onto a private discord chat and joked that
- 44:27Speaker 4: he's a dopel ganger pulled the trigger. In messages obtained
- 44:31Speaker 4: by the Neil Post, he mocked the manhunt for the
- 44:34Speaker 4: government and taunted the FBI's investigation, and he also joked
- 44:39Speaker 4: about obtaining reward money. It's pretty clear gap from these
- 44:42Speaker 4: screenshots that there's not much remorse here.
- 44:46Speaker 18: Yeah, it's really chilling to read the comments that Tyler
- 44:49Speaker 18: Robinson made in the hours leading up to his arrest.
- 44:52Speaker 18: He mocked the FBI investigation. He made comments saying that
- 44:57Speaker 18: the shooter must be in California. Another person in that
- 45:01Speaker 18: group chat joked about getting a cut of the one
- 45:03Speaker 18: hundred thousand dollar FBI reward. There was also another comment
- 45:07Speaker 18: made by Taylor Robinson there saying that oh, he had
- 45:10Speaker 18: to get rid of the manifesto, appearing to joke about
- 45:14Speaker 18: himself potentially being the shooter. Now we do know that
- 45:17Speaker 18: Taylor Robinson will be facing his first court appearance on Tuesday,
- 45:22Speaker 18: and Utah Governor Spencer Cox says that he's not cooperating
- 45:25Speaker 18: with law enforcement at the moment, but family and friends
- 45:28Speaker 18: are helping with the investigation.
- 45:32Speaker 4: Yes, and his lover appears to be helping investigators as well,
- 45:36Speaker 4: and we're getting more details about his private life. According
- 45:40Speaker 4: to police, Robinson was living with a transgender lover who
- 45:44Speaker 4: was in the process of transitioning from a man to
- 45:46Speaker 4: a woman. Utah Governor Spencer Cox also told the Wall
- 45:50Speaker 4: Street Journal that investigators are of the view that the
- 45:54Speaker 4: alleged killer is deeply indoctrinated with leftist ideology. But we
- 46:01Speaker 4: have heard a lot of misinformation. We have heard a
- 46:05Speaker 4: lot of lies from people who should know better, including
- 46:09Speaker 4: many in the media, about the alleged killer being supposedly
- 46:14Speaker 4: maga or from some right wing movement.
- 46:18Speaker 18: Yeah, so much misinformation disinformation online. It's horrible to see.
- 46:22Speaker 18: But I think this truth should I should say from
- 46:26Speaker 18: Utah Governor Spencer Cox that this alleged killer believes to
- 46:31Speaker 18: appear to be deeply indoctrinated with leftist ideology. That should
- 46:35Speaker 18: come as a surprise to no one. We have seen
- 46:38Speaker 18: the far left justify and celebrate murder, and it is
- 46:41Speaker 18: absolutely sick. Now it appears as though Tyler Robinson was
- 46:45Speaker 18: radicalized after university. We know that ammunition was engraved with
- 46:49Speaker 18: a reference to fascism. And again, hearing that piece of news,
- 46:54Speaker 18: you just think of every Democrat and every mainstream media
- 46:56Speaker 18: outlet that has labeled Donald Trump a fascist, and you know,
- 47:00Speaker 18: we are seeing so many parts of the far left
- 47:03Speaker 18: celebrate murder.
- 47:04Speaker 6: It makes me absolutely sick.
- 47:05Speaker 18: But as your reference to his personal life, we know
- 47:08Speaker 18: that he appears to now be dating or being a
- 47:11Speaker 18: romantic relationship with someone who was transitioning genders, appears to
- 47:15Speaker 18: be a big supporter of Joe Biden. And also Robinson
- 47:18Speaker 18: himself had a fixation on Furri's reader.
- 47:23Speaker 3: Yes, and again.
- 47:25Speaker 4: That's some interesting reading there, but we won't get into that.
- 47:30Speaker 3: I want to speak a little bit more about Charlie.
- 47:33Speaker 4: He was all about dialogue, about the importance of maintaining
- 47:36Speaker 4: civil debate with your ideological opponents. Who would talk to
- 47:39Speaker 4: anybody who was always about the issue, not attacking the person.
- 47:44Speaker 4: And he was happy to be the butt of jokes himself.
- 47:47Speaker 4: Look at his reaction to a South Park episode that
- 47:51Speaker 4: featured someone very much like himself.
- 47:55Speaker 3: So let me ask you this, what is your definition
- 47:57Speaker 3: of a woman?
- 47:57Speaker 12: Yeah, putting down the mic in between the question that
- 48:00Speaker 12: is like put that is pure art south Park?
- 48:03Speaker 1: What is man, what what is the woman?
- 48:05Speaker 17: It's a very supple question.
- 48:08Speaker 3: Well a woman. He's a lady for and you know.
- 48:11Speaker 17: Casey, you see, you can't answer the question. But something
- 48:13Speaker 17: is male or it is female. Both sides of the
- 48:15Speaker 17: scripture agree to that, and that's just the truth. That's
- 48:20Speaker 17: oh gee.
- 48:24Speaker 12: I think the whole thing is just awesome and hilarious.
- 48:29Speaker 4: Unlike the angry Left, he wasn't afraid to laugh at himself,
- 48:33Speaker 4: even if the characterization was pretty harsh.
- 48:37Speaker 17: Did you call the girls soccer team a Marxist in doctrination?
- 48:40Speaker 1: Doctory? That is correct?
- 48:42Speaker 3: We actually beat the fust dont of nothing.
- 48:44Speaker 17: You know, you can fine about American oppression all you want,
- 48:46Speaker 17: but you're using an iPhone made by the free market
- 48:48Speaker 17: to complain about a system they gave it to you.
- 48:50Speaker 17: Girls have it way easy in America. And that's just
- 48:52Speaker 17: the truth.
- 48:53Speaker 12: The girl reading off the phone, by the way, with
- 48:55Speaker 12: like the angry, like live face, like blah blah blah,
- 48:59Speaker 12: I'm reading it's just perfect.
- 49:03Speaker 4: He was special, Gab, There's not any I can't think
- 49:06Speaker 4: of anyone else like him who was just such a
- 49:08Speaker 4: happy warrior, who would just maintain his calm in the
- 49:13Speaker 4: face of all sorts of ugliness all.
- 49:15Speaker 18: The time, and we saw that. I love the clip
- 49:18Speaker 18: you just played, reader, I mean, it just really speaks
- 49:20Speaker 18: to his character and his brilliant personality. He was happy
- 49:23Speaker 18: to laugh at himself, and he was such a great
- 49:26Speaker 18: example to young people, especially to young men. I mean,
- 49:29Speaker 18: he was so clear on his values. He really spoke
- 49:32Speaker 18: up for being principled, for fighting for what you believe
- 49:36Speaker 18: in with words, not with violence. And that clip of
- 49:39Speaker 18: him just laughing there at himself on South Park, I
- 49:41Speaker 18: mean it says so much about him. He was such
- 49:43Speaker 18: a brilliant man and he's going to be so so missed.
- 49:48Speaker 4: Absolutely, it's a good way to remember him. Gabriella Pawe,
- 49:51Speaker 4: thank you so much for your time, and that's all
- 49:53Speaker 4: the time we have. Newsnight is up next
