Speaker 1: asking about those specific bowl games, and I mentioned that
• 0:15
Speaker 1: Oklahoma is playing in the Armed Forces Bowl Lockheed Martin
• 0:26
Speaker 1: Armed Forces Bowl and Aman Carter Stadium, it's O you
• 0:29
Speaker 1: against Navy against Navy, and by the way, the dudes
• 0:35
Speaker 1: predicting Navy to win the game. So there's that. There
• 0:45
Speaker 1: was some interesting matchup. Texas Tech at Arkansas playing in
• 0:50
  Speaker 1: the Liberty Bowl.
• 0:50
Speaker 3: That'll be good. Yeah.
• 0:52
Speaker 2: So that now, of course, a lot this all depends on,
• 0:54
Speaker 2: you know, who's opting out and everything.
• 0:56
Speaker 1: That's the sad thing for sure. Andrew Armstrong has has
• 1:01
Speaker 1: already opted out. The SEC's leading receiver. He's already opted out,
• 1:05
Speaker 1: but he's picking Arkansas to beat Texas Tech thirty one
• 1:07
Speaker 1: twenty seven. Some of the other interesting matchups tell you
• 1:12
Speaker 1: what you think about some of these other bowl games.
• 1:15
Speaker 3: There's there's some intriguing matchups, if you will.
• 1:20
Speaker 1: Memphis is playing West Virginia in the Scooter's Coffee Frisco Bowl.
• 1:24
Speaker 2: There did Memphis farther coach? No I know, Neil Brown's.
• 1:28
Speaker 1: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, but Neil Brown, Yeah,
• 1:31
  Speaker 1: was fired.
• 1:32
Speaker 3: Chad's got the offensive coordinator.
• 1:34
Speaker 2: We'll do that. He's at SMU right at one point,
• 1:37
Speaker 2: Chad Scott, are you thinking of? Are you thinking of?
• 1:42
Speaker 2: Chad Morris? The former Lake Travis coach.
• 1:45
Speaker 1: Just the head coach at the SAIA whose son Chandler
• 1:48
Speaker 1: Morris plays quarterback for North Texas. Anyway, Memphis. He's got
• 1:52
Speaker 1: Memphis beating West Virginia in that one. A couple of
• 1:55
Speaker 1: the other bowl matchups that are interesting in the take
• 2:00
  Speaker 1: note of.
• 2:01
Speaker 3: Myrtle Beach Bowl. Did you see who's in the Myrtle
• 2:03
  Speaker 3: Beach Bowl?
• 2:05
  Speaker 1: Mmm?
• 2:06
Speaker 2: See Sun Belt Tye in Yes, James Madison.
• 2:10
Speaker 1: No, it's the host school, Coastal Carolina playing in their
• 2:13
Speaker 1: home stadium against who.
• 2:15
  Speaker 2: Is the other?
• 2:16
  Speaker 3: Tyan?
• 2:17
Speaker 1: Uh, it's it can be any Numa tell me Texas
• 2:20
Speaker 1: State UTSA. Oh, Jeff Traylor and the Roadrunners finished six
• 2:25
  Speaker 1: and six.
• 2:26
Speaker 3: Uh. He picks UTSA to win at thirty four to
• 2:28
Speaker 3: twenty four. Off of that. What was the the other?
• 2:34
Speaker 1: The Rate Bowl is Rutgers in Kansas State, and he's
• 2:36
Speaker 1: got Rutgers winning twenty four to twenty in that on
• 2:40
Speaker 1: Greciana A little bit of eyebrow raising there, Vanderbilt all
• 2:45
Speaker 1: to talk about Vandaby. Vanderbilt made a bowl game, the
• 2:47
Speaker 1: one in the Birmingham Bowl to play Georgia Tech.
• 2:49
Speaker 2: That'll be a good one. Hayes Keen Diego Pavia. Yeah,
• 2:52
Speaker 2: two rushing first offenses, that'll be a real fun game
• 2:56
  Speaker 2: to watch.
• 2:56
  Speaker 3: Alexander.
• 2:57
Speaker 1: As long as those guys don't opt out right a
• 3:00
Speaker 1: right it says they boat should generate attention. Uh. Remember
• 3:05
Speaker 1: Poppy is suing the NCAA to get more eligibility. Nice
• 3:08
Speaker 1: saying his junior college time should not have calent. Oh okay,
• 3:11
Speaker 1: So I think he's playing on sticking around and playing
• 3:16
Speaker 1: the Texas A and M playing USC in the Las
• 3:18
  Speaker 1: Vegas Bowl.
• 3:20
  Speaker 3: Interesting mm hmm.
• 3:22
Speaker 1: And uh And Ridberg has A and M winning twenty
• 3:25
Speaker 1: four to twenty on that North Carolina and Yukon in
• 3:28
Speaker 1: the Wasabi Fenway Bowl playing at Fenway Park.
• 3:32
Speaker 2: How about that? So Bill Belichick stop with the Bill
• 3:35
Speaker 2: Bilichick from you know, coach to New England the Fenway
• 3:38
Speaker 2: Ball in Boston. I mean, like, did they do this
• 3:41
Speaker 2: on purpose? They if they bring him out a halftime
• 3:45
Speaker 2: to be incredible scene, incredible scene? Yeah, he was he
• 3:49
Speaker 2: was pushing for it on the Pat McAfee show The
• 3:51
  Speaker 2: Day Craig.
• 3:52
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, he's interesting offering. Yeah, he's very interested. Uh
• 3:57
  Speaker 1: let's see.
• 3:57
Speaker 3: Okay, the how about the Isletta New Mexico Bowl.
• 4:04
  Speaker 2: That's the Oh, I don't want to Okay, I remember
• 4:06
Speaker 2: the brand for that. I think what it is, but
• 4:08
Speaker 2: I won't say it because that's on the segment. Okay,
• 4:11
  Speaker 2: the teams.
• 4:12
Speaker 1: Okay, So Louisiana's TCU in the New Mexico Bowl and
• 4:19
Speaker 1: then the Pop Tarts Bowl. I always stayed in Miami.
• 4:22
Speaker 1: Is Kim mood will play in that?
• 4:24
  Speaker 3: Yeah?
• 4:24
Speaker 2: He said so on his show with Sir Door Sanders. Yeah,
• 4:28
  Speaker 2: which is cool.
• 4:30
Speaker 1: You know what else was cool as if you were
• 4:32
Speaker 1: saying you were actually playing in the Snoop dogg Arizona Bowl.
• 4:35
Speaker 2: So it is that the same thing they did with
• 4:38
  Speaker 2: Jimmy Kimmel.
• 4:39
Speaker 1: Yeah, the LA which is now the LA Bowl. You
• 4:43
Speaker 1: know what that bowl is now? Kowski, It's the l
• 4:45
Speaker 1: A Bowl presented by Gronk. That's the name of it.
• 4:48
Speaker 1: The l A Bowl presented by Gronk.
• 4:52
Speaker 2: Then no chance Gronk with any idea who's playing in
• 4:55
Speaker 2: that game before it starts, there's no idea. He'll have
• 4:58
  Speaker 2: no idea.
• 4:59
Speaker 1: The h By the way, the Snoop dogg Arizona Bowl
• 5:03
Speaker 1: Miami against the team way back on August thirty first
• 5:06
Speaker 1: at the Long Orange destroyed Colorado State, which turned its
• 5:10
Speaker 1: season around and went eight and four.
• 5:12
  Speaker 3: Pretty good job.
• 5:13
Speaker 1: I mean they went down to the last two weeks
• 5:14
Speaker 1: still with a shot to play in the Mount West Championship.
• 5:17
Speaker 1: So Colorado State got in there off of that. How
• 5:20
Speaker 1: about East Carolina against Heennsea State in the Military Bowl
• 5:23
Speaker 1: in Annapolis. Hensey State got there by beating Carolina in
• 5:25
Speaker 1: mc brown's last game. Off the Alamo Bowl. You have
• 5:28
Speaker 1: two teams from the same conference playing each other. Think
• 5:32
Speaker 1: about that for a minute. What conference Big twelve? Oh
• 5:36
Speaker 1: who do we gotten? This one BYU against Colorado? Okay,
• 5:40
Speaker 1: now two things in mark here. One everyone sitting out
• 5:44
Speaker 1: in Colorado. No, they slacked one. One, they didn't play
• 5:49
Speaker 1: in the regular season. They didn't face each other in
• 5:52
Speaker 1: the regular season. Two that the bowls are honoring the
• 5:59
  Speaker 1: previous time.
• 6:00
  Speaker 3: Okay.
• 6:01
Speaker 1: In other words, the Alamo Bowl is honoring the tie
• 6:04
Speaker 1: in between the Big Twelve and the trying to be
• 6:07
Speaker 1: resurrected Pac twelve, which would have brought Colorado into the
• 6:11
Speaker 1: equation there. So that's why they call it. You know
• 6:14
Speaker 1: what they call it. You love this Pack twelve Legacy Bowl,
• 6:19
Speaker 1: That's what it is. It's a legacy you understand. So yeah,
• 6:25
Speaker 1: so anyway, but it could be a pretty entertaining game
• 6:28
Speaker 1: BYU and Colorado in that Travis Hunt is probably gonna
• 6:32
Speaker 1: win the Heisman Trophy. He says, he's in, He's gonna play.
• 6:37
Speaker 1: According to Dion, Dion says, Travis is in, Shadura Sanders
• 6:41
  Speaker 1: is in.
• 6:41
  Speaker 3: Okay.
• 6:42
Speaker 1: I heard Jake retzlof the quarterback for by He's just
• 6:46
Speaker 1: a junior anyway, But I was listening on the drive
• 6:49
Speaker 1: back from College station after Texas B Texas A and M,
• 6:52
Speaker 1: because it was the only games tool going on. Was
• 6:54
Speaker 1: that BYU game against Cincinnati? I think it was was
• 6:57
Speaker 1: it Cincinnati whoever? They were playing that last game and
• 7:03
Speaker 1: they were and b YU was winning the game. And
• 7:06
Speaker 1: then after the game on their postgame show, Jake retztlife,
• 7:10
Speaker 1: who I really think is pretty cool their quarterback. He
• 7:13
Speaker 1: they said, do you know how many guys might be
• 7:15
Speaker 1: opting out? He goes, I don't think any of our
• 7:17
Speaker 1: guys are opting out? Okay, so we'll we'll, we'll see
• 7:21
Speaker 1: if that happens. Let's see Iowa, Missouri a lot of
• 7:25
Speaker 1: black and gold in that one in the Music City Bowl.
• 7:29
Speaker 3: I think this one is kind of entertaining.
• 7:31
Speaker 1: How about Alabama and Michigan and the Relaquest Bowl, two
• 7:35
Speaker 1: teams that that met in the Final four last year.
• 7:40
Speaker 1: Now they're playing in Tampa on that and that's on
• 7:44
  Speaker 1: New Year's Eve.
• 7:46
Speaker 2: I can see a lot of Alabama players not playing
• 7:49
Speaker 2: that one, but we'll see.
• 7:50
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, And who knows about michigmore or Love Yeah. Uh,
• 7:54
Speaker 1: the Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl, only because I like
• 7:56
Speaker 1: saying the Tony the Tiger Sunbowl.
• 7:59
Speaker 3: The Louisville and Washington.
• 8:01
Speaker 1: So yeah, that's three of the teams that were in
• 8:05
Speaker 1: the College Football Playoff a year ago. The fourteen playoff
• 8:08
Speaker 1: are playing in uh non playoff games. There's only one
• 8:12
Speaker 1: that was in the playoff last year. It's back to
• 8:14
Speaker 1: the playoff issue. That's Texas, isn't uh? Isn't Steve Belichick?
• 8:18
Speaker 1: Isn't he at Washington?
• 8:19
  Speaker 3: So?
• 8:19
Speaker 2: Is that will that be his last game before he
• 8:21
Speaker 2: becomes the d C at UNC.
• 8:25
  Speaker 3: Stop?
• 8:27
Speaker 2: It's yeah, yes, he's the DC at Washington. So last
• 8:29
Speaker 2: game for Steven Belichick. We'll be coaching on the Chapel
• 8:32
  Speaker 2: Hill sideline.
• 8:33
Speaker 1: Okay, the cheese at Citrus Bowl, which always intrigues Linda
• 8:40
Speaker 1: because she likes cheese. It's we're used to anyway. Uh
• 8:44
Speaker 1: in South Carolina and Illinois. Now here's what you were
• 8:46
Speaker 1: looking for. The Kinders Texas Bowl. Baylor and l s U.
• 8:50
  Speaker 1: That's right, Baylor and l s U.
• 8:51
Speaker 3: That's it, n RG and uh.
• 8:54
Speaker 1: And that game is also on New Year's Eve after noon.
• 9:00
Speaker 1: That's a daytime game. Texas Bowl has always been like
• 9:02
Speaker 1: a later game at night, but it's a day time.
• 9:04
Speaker 2: Is the last game on that day? Will be the
• 9:06
Speaker 2: first college football quarterfinal game, that's right? Which will be
• 9:11
Speaker 2: the not the Peach Bowl, That'll be the Fiesta Bowl.
• 9:13
Speaker 1: Right, I think it's the Peach Okay, Texas Texas would
• 9:17
  Speaker 1: be playing.
• 9:17
Speaker 3: Yeah, they win on New Year's Night?
• 9:19
Speaker 1: Uh huh? Also on January third. January third, Yeah, the
• 9:28
Speaker 1: third Pro First Responder Ball that's at SMUs Stadium. How
• 9:31
Speaker 1: about this, folks, North Texas against Texas State.
• 9:36
  Speaker 3: How about that?
• 9:37
Speaker 1: It'll be the first time that those two schools have
• 9:39
Speaker 1: met in football in thirty years.
• 9:41
  Speaker 3: Wow.
• 9:42
Speaker 1: Nineteen ninety four when they were still Southwest Texas State.
• 9:45
Speaker 1: That's the last time North Texas has played Texas State,
• 9:49
Speaker 1: so it be the first time in thirty years. So yeah,
• 9:52
Speaker 1: January four o'clock in the afternoon on Friday afternoon.
• 9:56
Speaker 3: North Texas and Texas State playing in that one.
• 10:00
Speaker 1: So anyway, so there's there's a look at some of
• 10:02
Speaker 1: the ball games again before too months long, we're going
• 10:04
Speaker 1: to play Guesst, the ball sponsor as well. We'll do
