Welcome to Nate's daily wager. I ain't picking winners, but I
• 0:10
am making wagers. Time to put my money where my
• 0:13
mouth is. This is Nate's Daily wager for
• 0:20
February 16th, 2026. And as the roll of the dice that
• 0:27
I was hoping Seattle RedHawks as well learned yesterday, or at
• 0:30
least I learned, took care of business for us.
• 0:33
They're won by 10, beating the Beavers.
• 0:35
They're a little hard on the Beaver.
• 0:37
Well, they were hard enough at least.
• 0:38
So got that win. Saw the money in our account,
• 0:41
but a boom. Butter being butter money.
• 0:43
All right, so today, sticking to the men's college basketball,
• 0:48
I'm moving EA little bit to the middle of the country.
• 0:51
We got Iowa State taking on Houston out of both of them.
• 0:55
That's the Cyclones and the Cougars.
• 0:57
Iowa State, the Cyclones, Houston being the Cougars, and
• 1:00
Iowa State's doing pretty good. They're solid, right?
• 1:03
Houston also doing well. Solid ranked #2 in the country.
• 1:07
  It's actually a top 10 matchup here.
• 1:09
Iowa State is number six. They were #5 I believe recently,
• 1:14
  I don't think they've lost since.
• 1:15
Maybe they did. I don't think so.
• 1:17
I think they beat Kansas pretty handily.
• 1:19
So there should be a top five matchup, but for some reason
• 1:22
  it's not. So it's a top ten.
• 1:23
I guess it's a top 6, but nobody says top six.
• 1:25
You say top five or top ten. But anyways, the important thing
• 1:29
here is last night we took the home team and laid the points.
• 1:32
Tonight, Iowa State is the home team and we're going to lay the
• 1:35
  points. It's 2 1/2.
• 1:37
That's fine for me. I think they're better than
• 1:40
Houston. I think they're doing great.
• 1:42
I think they're not getting the respect, just the and I think
• 1:45
they're going to go in or they're going to stay home.
• 1:48
Houston's coming in thinking they're going to do something
• 1:51
and Iowa State ain't going to let them.
• 1:53
So we're going to go Iowa State. Cyclones -2 1/2 against the
• 1:57
Houston Cougars. University of Houston, that is
• 2:00
in tonight's NCAA men's college basketball action.
• 2:04
Is anything better than that? Pound it.
• 2:06
That's my pick and I'm sticking to it.
