Pawtucket kicked off the Hero Package Foundation’s first Kickball Cup Tournament, blending fun and fundraising to support kids battling cancer nationwide. With 13 teams, raffles, food trucks, and live music, the event was a vibrant community celebration—powered by founder Jennifer Vertentes, a recognized community hero honored by the New England Patriots. After the games, local “childhood warriors” were awarded medals in a heartfelt ceremony.
