Speaker 1: In almost a dueling Banjo's scenario from Deliverance. We've got
• 0:25
Speaker 1: ourselves a bit of a duel for Juan Soto because
• 0:29
Speaker 1: yesterday I reported that the New York Post was reporting
• 0:34
Speaker 1: that the Mets Steve Cohen was flying out to South California,
• 0:39
Speaker 1: Southern California to meet with Scott Boris and Juan Soto. Well,
• 0:44
Speaker 1: that was apparently the first Soto salvo. The second Soto
• 0:48
Speaker 1: salvo is coming from hal Steinberner. And what did I
• 0:51
Speaker 1: tell you guys yesterday? You have to meet with him
• 0:55
Speaker 1: if you're the Yankees. You can't just expect him to
• 0:58
Speaker 1: go along with the organization. Because he's been there for
• 1:00
Speaker 1: a year. That should not be a reason you don't
• 1:03
Speaker 1: meet with him. Well, I wonder if hal Steinberner and
• 1:07
Speaker 1: the Seimerner family, whom connected with happen to hear this,
• 1:11
Speaker 1: because it's reported today in the New York Post that
• 1:17
Speaker 1: the second round of the Soto salvos will come from
• 1:21
Speaker 1: the New York Yankees. Mark W. Sanchez, someone I met
• 1:24
Speaker 1: a pintry Pride, and John Hayman both reported that Steinbrenner
• 1:29
Speaker 1: is expected to fly out for a visit in about
• 1:32
Speaker 1: a week and a half. Industry sources said on Friday,
• 1:36
Speaker 1: while the date of the sit down was not immediately clear,
• 1:39
Speaker 1: the Yankees were short of a talk with Soto after
• 1:43
Speaker 1: the Mets talked with Sodo, Cohen said to make the
• 1:46
Speaker 1: trip to see Sodo emborised next week and an attempt
• 1:52
Speaker 1: to lure the slugger to Queen's Day. Right, but this
• 1:57
Speaker 1: feels like something George Steinbrenner would do, isn't it. A
• 2:03
Speaker 1: Steinbrenner is fighting for a free agent. Now, you could
• 2:08
Speaker 1: say we've heard that before, but not like this. Because
• 2:13
Speaker 1: even in two thousand and nine when the Yanks got
• 2:17
Speaker 1: ce Ce Sabbatian mark to cheron A. J. Burnett, George
• 2:20
Speaker 1: stebern was alive to see it, to see his son,
• 2:25
Speaker 1: now sixteen offseasons later, be aggressive and fly out to
• 2:32
Speaker 1: so Cal after reports that Steve Cohen was playing out
• 2:36
Speaker 1: of Sokel. I love it, and it's what they need
• 2:40
Speaker 1: to do. They have to see the expectations if they
• 2:42
Speaker 1: can meet Soto's and if Soto what he expects of
• 2:46
Speaker 1: the Yankees and when he with the ink expected of him,
• 2:52
Speaker 1: that how Steinbrenner is not going down without a fight.
• 2:57
Speaker 1: This also was the same day Aaron un was officially
• 3:01
Speaker 1: announced as coming back for the twenty twenty five season.
• 3:06
Speaker 1: And while you could question a lot of his decisions
• 3:08
Speaker 1: in some of those postseason World Series games, specifically, he
• 3:12
Speaker 1: did get them to the World Series and maybe, just
• 3:15
Speaker 1: maybe you let him reach that pinnacle and we'll have
• 3:22
Speaker 1: guess what three managers in our lifetime that have all
• 3:28
Speaker 1: won at least a World Series with the Yanks. We'll see.
• 3:32
Speaker 1: But their faith in Boone and their faith in themselves
• 3:40
Speaker 1: to meet with Soto is very promising today and that's
• 3:45
Speaker 1: going to hit your newstands on Saturday, November ninth, twenty
• 3:51
Speaker 1: twenty four. Thanks to Mark W. Sanchez and John Hayman
• 3:57
Speaker 1: and jonah AKJ M Perr of the REPBX community for
• 4:03
Speaker 1: reporting this on her page because it was an easy
• 4:07
Speaker 1: slam dunk to do a follow up on the Mets
• 4:10
Speaker 1: Soto salvo the Yankees with the Sodo salvo. Great reporting.
• 4:15
Speaker 1: Great to see the Yanks are not giving up without
• 4:17
Speaker 1: a fight, and I think he will be back in
• 4:19
Speaker 1: the Bronx. You just have to meet with him and
• 4:22
Speaker 1: go from there. It's dueling Banjo's We love it when
• 4:25
Speaker 1: they compete against each other on the field. Now they're
• 4:28
Speaker 1: competing in the front office, in the ownership, and in
• 4:35
Speaker 1: the sweep states for Juan Soto, and to see them
• 4:39
Speaker 1: compete at all levels, it's pretty exciting because that should
• 4:43
Speaker 1: be New York. That is New York. It's fine when
• 4:45
Speaker 1: the Yanks and Mets are always rivaling each other. Down
• 4:51
Speaker 1: to meeting from Juan Soto in SoCal just days apart.
• 4:56
Speaker 1: That's all I got for now on the one that
• 4:58
Speaker 1: got network. I'm Alex g here. We'll talk to you soon.
• 5:02
Speaker 1: Here's some more from delivering to the dueling banjo scene.
• 5:06
Speaker 1: God love it. That's the feeling I get when I
• 5:09
Speaker 1: talk about the dueling visits of Cohen and then how
