- 0:41Welcome back to a hamster with a blunt penknife, a doctor who
- 0:45commentary podcast, I'm Mark and with me, is the very handsome.
- 0:49Joe Ford very handsome. Yeah.
- 0:52Like it and we're back to talk about the horns of nighttime on.
- 1:01Okay. Love handsome only recently
- 1:06revealed at the end of episode 1.
- 1:08Hmm. What do you reckon to the nylons
- 1:12plan? Then to prey on the gullibility
- 1:16of this militaristic race, and pretend that there's just one of
- 1:19them? yeah, it's it does sound quite a
- 1:27lot like, a particular political party from our part of the
- 1:30world. But I won't.
- 1:31Let's not go too far down that road like a like a bunch of
- 1:36Intergalactic, Locus, that sucking communities drawing, and
- 1:41moving on to the next one. Yeah, it's so nature, isn't it?
- 1:46That's, that's what they have to do.
- 1:49I think it's I think it's very clear.
- 1:51What is the notion that they've gone from planet to planet like
- 1:56a plague of locusts step? They take all their take all the
- 1:59energy from the planet and then once it's all used up, they
- 2:02explode it. And then on to the next one, we
- 2:05would never fucking I would weigh in some Italian rice of
- 2:08God. Not person came here and said to
- 2:10government going to give you all this technology.
- 2:13The best power in the cosmos, Yeah, we're screwed.
- 2:21Where are we are a race of grabbing a carrot dangling on
- 2:24that way. I'll know guy in there.
- 2:25Please yourself, put it away. Come on, Mike, come on.
- 2:35Well we've got three episodes to go.
- 2:37We better kick in to episode 2. We had would you like me to
- 2:41count as in? Yeah.
- 2:42Go on in five. Four, three, two, one, And off
- 2:49we go. The hell did you think then?
- 2:51When the next season started and it was very glitzy 80s
- 2:55Starscape? A, it was yeah it was a real
- 2:58Smacker. The face flower God.
- 3:00What's this? It's like and it was incredibly
- 3:02exciting that. Wow.
- 3:03This is so new. It's so 1980 because obviously
- 3:08it was a big thing to go as a kid to go from one decade into
- 3:13the next. I remember saying to my parents
- 3:17house. Oh, it's Nick.
- 3:18You're going to be 1970, 10 know, it's amazing.
- 3:22I love kids. So yeah, so yeah, it's this new
- 3:27shiny glitzy thing with Electro music and so this is obviously
- 3:31another thing with this story is it was used to test bed for
- 3:35having the, the workshop come in and do the music.
- 3:41This is Dudley's, final story for Doctor Who so many lasts in
- 3:46this particular story. It's a shame, we didn't get to
- 3:49go out and shoulder because I think he would have done, so I
- 3:51really impressive likely to be see death.
- 3:53Yeah, yeah. That Marquez score on.
- 3:56It's really good, isn't it? I love it.
- 3:59Yeah. But I don't think the easiest.
- 4:01I don't think that we ever really gave terrible music, but
- 4:04it's not as most memorable. Score this.
- 4:07No, no. But there's something nostalgic
- 4:10about those Dudley scores, because it just, it takes you
- 4:13back to that time again. I'm just really grateful, he's
- 4:16very dramatically started. So in his horns in the last
- 4:19episode, you know, when you've got those shots looking up at
- 4:22the 91, it's like that fabulous. You love it.
- 4:28When Dudley blows his horn honks.
- 4:30My favorite thing in the world first prize, but I deserve
- 4:35canine. I did do a pair of the Mask how
- 4:37much with you have a week and the soundtracks of that.
- 4:39Like, it's not that he lost anything but he isn't quite as
- 4:44good. Hmm.
- 4:47Oh, we're back to the wobbly spaceship again, or this all
- 4:50doing what they do on scholarship, go start right.
- 4:52They just shake the camera and Doctor Who they showed us there.
- 4:55Yeah, it's that. Rickety, you can have stage good
- 4:58though because that's, you know, you can't have people complain
- 5:00about wobbly sets because they're wobbling on purpose.
- 5:04Well that's what would happen isn't it when you are facing
- 5:06black hole buffeting? The face God Allah and she's
- 5:14giving him absolute daggers. They're leaving the tallest
- 5:16looks a bit dirty, those roundels?
- 5:19Yeah, it's looking a bit. Oh, what's this with the Tardis
- 5:23crashes in the rice cooker, but again as a concept that's yes
- 5:30yeah. This this must be Tom Baker as
- 5:35well when he's lying on the ground, then canines probe
- 5:39ahead. It has to be.
- 5:46Do you think he needed rain in at this point?
- 5:52As I mean, he's such a force of nature, isn't he?
- 5:56And I thing. Is anyone coming in?
- 5:59He's been in the park for so long.
- 6:00This is his 66 year now. Hmm.
- 6:04Yeah. Anyone coming in, who's new to
- 6:08the show, then that, how would you tell someone who knows the
- 6:12show inside out? He knows all the shots.
- 6:15He knows how the story beats should go.
- 6:18He knows what the doctor would do.
- 6:21And he's obviously actors tend to have egos and he's probably
- 6:26got the biggest ego, the look. So yeah, it's a real to real
- 6:31job. Yeah, the office to Charisma it
- 6:34brings you know that Barry Letts saying of yeah I want the
- 6:38regulars to be so charismatic that even if what's going on is
- 6:41boring, you still want to watch the show?
- 6:43Yeah. Got that in Spades.
- 6:45Yeah, I mean to be fair, he was having to wear with Jon Pertwee,
- 6:49so Star jump. Oh eh oh I know I'm not the
- 6:54biggest fan of Big Bird. I have to say he's not I mean
- 7:01even even the ones I'm not so keen on.
- 7:04I still you know you love them but you say you love them all
- 7:07but some more than others. Crowding is earning his money.
- 7:13Here, you really is, its is giving every ounce of his acting
- 7:17abilities. They're probably more than he
- 7:19should have. But, you know, you know, the 60
- 7:22pale in this doesn't he? That makeup thing or is it?
- 7:26There's no ways. It goes like a corpse.
- 7:28Yeah, it's Grim, isn't it? Especially for just turned the
- 7:32TV on now, right? You've got holding it.
- 7:40The sort of fluttering like a bird house drama.
- 7:45If I turn it on. Yeah.
- 7:47It's it's really high concept. Stuff is serious drama laundry.
- 7:52I've great switched on during this point and was like, hmm, I
- 7:56forget BBC, this is. This is gone.
- 7:59Yeah, what is that bacon? I know.
- 8:04Isn't it great crowd? Oh yeah, huge huge.
- 8:08Because wasn't he was in the Irish sea as well as and he in
- 8:11his early days here. So they always seem to get
- 8:15really good guest actors in Danae regardless of what era was
- 8:19and regardless of how it was doing in the ratings.
- 8:23I think it's because there's that factor of, you know, your
- 8:27kids have got a car, you got to do Doctor Who please be in
- 8:30Doctor Who and they'd go on and do it.
- 8:32He says in the commentary that obviously didn't want to play
- 8:35the doctor, you didn't want to be stuck in a role for a long
- 8:37time. Abla.
- 8:39And he also says well yeah because I was really scared.
- 8:42I was going to be stuck opening faiths and things like this
- 8:45supermarkets because he is it always detached himself from
- 8:49that part of the job. Yeah, that's fair enough.
- 8:52But you read this script, The Villa this madly over-the-top
- 8:56villainy if I'm there, get me to the BBC and why.
- 9:03Well, that's that's a more acting going on in the
- 9:05background here. I'm just looking at Seth's
- 9:07chest. Sorry, I'm looking over your
- 9:09shoulder at the exasperate expression of the guy with the
- 9:13curly hair. He's really worried though.
- 9:15No, no, no. The one in the middle there.
- 9:17Yeah, no, that's a girl. That's a girl.
- 9:21You sure. Well, whatever they are.
- 9:27They look very confused. Oh, they're also slightly
- 9:29nervous. It's like they've never seen 20
- 9:31know she's smiling now. That's nice, but I think it's
- 9:35good but what I'm feeling They just got to stand around what
- 9:39they're going to do. They just going to stand there?
- 9:41Looking motionless. Or what would you do?
- 9:44See what I would have done, I would have had the main players
- 9:48in the foreground and, and have the, the rest of them just in
- 9:52the background. And they do that thing where
- 9:53they kind of the chat amongst themselves.
- 9:55They're not actually speaking verbally, but it's just some
- 9:58sort of business going on because just have another lined
- 10:00up in a row. Have you not seen that season
- 10:02five? Doctors, were you got Janet?
- 10:04Who is Slade it going? Oh, oh, with these like madly
- 10:07over-the-top chatting gestures, don't you dare slack off Janet?
- 10:11And and myself, I wasn't there slide. talking of being very
- 10:23shallow in the previous episode, Janet Fielding Yeah, that was
- 10:29that was an early Crush. Okay, definitely.
- 10:32I mean obviously Nicola Bryant is for obvious reasons.
- 10:35Was another one soon that book The Companions?
- 10:38No. Oh, okay.
- 10:40Well I'll suggest you get that. You know.
- 10:41I was really the first pager. I can't believe this picture
- 10:44went out. Doctor Who magazine get her
- 10:46children, she's wearing a gold leotard.
- 10:50I hate disguising anything that's nothing.
- 10:53Left to the imagination. I'll send you a picture later.
- 10:55All right. Lovely.
- 10:56Yes, you are. The guy wants this may well says
- 11:02showing off his chest area. You're talking all about
- 11:05parents, get sorry, you have to say a game as sending me,
- 11:09pictures of a half-naked woman. Yeah, you meet from Doctor Who I
- 11:16do. Love all of this.
- 11:17So him being mistaken for the great Prince of an F.
- 11:21Yeah, that's quite well for God's.
- 11:23A just shut up. So big in me up all the time.
- 11:29Careful that book all soon. Jesus Christ.
- 11:32Well, I'll probably most of the listeners.
- 11:34You've heard me jabbering on Perla.
- 11:36Last half an hour, probably will feel the same way.
- 11:38I don't believe it for a second. Hmm.
- 11:42But it does mean your sympathies are immediately with her.
- 11:45Are they? Oh absolutely.
- 11:47Absolutely. They all think he's all-powerful
- 11:49and what for. Yeah, she doesn't much in this.
- 11:51Does he sort of runs, right? Offering.
- 11:53This is kind of like a poor man's, Luke Skywalker, it isn't
- 11:56he's just It does his bit he jams the crystal in a bit later
- 12:00we'll get to that one me and he does it as a ping and did you
- 12:04see how line they are? Said that the so many people
- 12:07well you've got problems and you stop going on about psyharden
- 12:15Fraser please. Oh yeah well that have
- 12:17definitely got problems weakling scum you can shout out of here.
- 12:25Oh no this is that bit well that's hardest goes.
- 12:30I love it too. So we've got this bit on our
- 12:33show. It's the quiz and we call it the
- 12:36mind probe and we had for a whole season.
- 12:39We had the mind probe was out of Action main because he and can't
- 12:42be bothered to write any questions.
- 12:44But in in the the drama that unfolded in the podcast is
- 12:48because I couldn't Source the parts to repair it.
- 12:50So went on for ages and I try starting it up and it had a bit
- 12:54of an old 90 style dial-up. Brought I don't probe and I
- 13:00thought up, internet sound, and then we had a bit of ZX Spectrum
- 13:03chucked in there, and then I put in the sound from this just, you
- 13:06know, to show that it wasn't quite working.
- 13:08We enjoy big explosion. Yeah, it's great.
- 13:18Go that far. He really has got extraordinary
- 13:22hair as Auntie the copilot. What is going on there?
- 13:25Yeah, it's sort of curse. Comes.
- 13:29But also they've had some carbon rollers in there as well.
- 13:32It's better as like a comb-over with a bit of extra like
- 13:35sideways Buffon in, it's very strange.
- 13:39Look at that snow. I hit a few more from any of the
- 13:41snow. They take themselves.
- 13:43So seriously. That sort of thing.
- 13:55You know, the kids the tributes. I really like all that as well.
- 14:03So what's that was a thing with a G willing mirror.
- 14:05It wasn't it because they had the whole with the previous
- 14:08regime. They'd really tapped into Hammer
- 14:10horror and a lot of those Gothic to devyse.
- 14:14Yeah, death. I'll tell you.
- 14:16They did, they did. And then obviously, because of
- 14:18complaints about too much violence, they had to take in a
- 14:21different direction. So they very much went into
- 14:26raiding literature, rather than movies.
- 14:29So you've got a lot of Glorious ice planets from wheels and the
- 14:34fairytale castles of Tara. Mmm, fantastic me Annie Theon
- 14:39Maze of the holes of neyman. Yes.
- 14:44But I think Anthony Reid and Douglas Adams were both very
- 14:49literate when they. Oh yeah.
- 14:52I think as a child, a lot of this one over my head.
- 14:54Mmm. Yeah, I mean, he's explaining
- 14:56some of the references in and the names in this and I'm going,
- 14:59Ah, that's me a full three. So Seth is Theseus.
- 15:02Yeah, soul deed is Daedalus. And yeah, Did I make that
- 15:08connection before that? Nah, just watching her.
- 15:12That's right. Episode of Doctor Who this is
- 15:14great. It was a computer malfunction,
- 15:16sir. No sir, you're full of shit.
- 15:22I get animes. You can imagine like other know,
- 15:25they're filming The Two Ronnies on the same day.
- 15:27Ronnie, Barker's that's near the door guys.
- 15:31What they doing here? Oh my God.
- 15:34You see what they're doing on Doc's Road?
- 15:39Good Lord. There is a stark contrast
- 15:41between the performance of lalla Ward.
- 15:42And those kids isn't it? I mean, she can act with
- 15:45starters. I mean, there is she has got a
- 15:47slight Advantage there. This bit, you know this bit with
- 15:51with your sound effect. This would be where the laughter
- 15:53track would be the best. Absolutely.
- 15:56Yeah. Just with his face like that.
- 16:01It is quite hot, love that delivery.
- 16:07But then, isn't this, what those who is supposed to be
- 16:13improvising and the end of the day, you know, I don't get me
- 16:17wrong, I love new who as well, but the whole lonely God thing
- 16:20gets a bit tiresome after a while really.
- 16:23And I think they addressed this a bit in the Matt Smith era and
- 16:27to a degree in the Capaldi era, he's an idiot.
- 16:30That go Around space trying to sort stuff out and he doesn't
- 16:33really have a clue what he's doing.
- 16:34It just kind of bimbel's his way around so annoying because they
- 16:37they bring up that poison in those areas and then they have
- 16:41Matt Smith Rising, so high and falling solo.
- 16:45And then they have Peter Capaldi, I'm going to tear down
- 16:47the space-time Continuum to save Clara.
- 16:50Okay. So you're not really learning
- 16:52anything. Now, Joe.
- 16:54Hello. I feel like we're getting on
- 16:55really well, but we are going to fall out if you start slacking
- 16:58off the mafia or because I really love the mafia Oh, great.
- 17:02Well, I was wondering what we're after hordes of nylon.
- 17:05Now, we're going to choose a few fabulous Steven Moffat episodes
- 17:08too bad that our lots to choose from a she's I've done that
- 17:12many, you know, there are still quite a lot to do.
- 17:15Here we go. He's doing is wondering acting.
- 17:17I would just like to say, though, I don't think it's all
- 17:19terrible. I think.
- 17:21No, I think it's very ambitious. It's just a really for me.
- 17:24That's the problem. No, I'm but that's fine.
- 17:28And there's a Ira's. I'm not that fond of.
- 17:31Oh God name and shame there. Any wandering around amazed
- 17:35right now. Dang it.
- 17:39I think I've reappraise season 18 quite a lot because I did
- 17:42find it a bit. The wrong guy.
- 17:46Yeah, the humor I mean obviously the one of the big things was
- 17:50they want to take the Hue Max they felt were gone too
- 17:51over-the-top. I felt like they leaned into
- 17:53that too much the other way. Now our mutual friend mr.
- 17:57Jeff has helped me to come to terms with that and has
- 18:02encouraged me to watch Teen 18 through new eyes.
- 18:04And I do feel like I'm more appreciative of it now then I
- 18:09was back in the day. and, As much as I totally get, virtually
- 18:19is a huge, huge doctor. For a lot of people.
- 18:25I just find a lot of his stuff. Not so much the stories.
- 18:29I think it's more here. My car problem with him, I just
- 18:31find him. It's just really aren't
- 18:36admittedly. I'm a big fan of Tom, and he can
- 18:39be pompous and he can cut people down to size, but I never felt
- 18:44like he was punching down. Whereas always feel with
- 18:48Pertwee. As had a nose, is kind of
- 18:51patronising it is, especially the way he speaks to Joe
- 18:53sometimes like absolute shit. I don't like that.
- 18:59And since he is your Superior officer Mark, you might show a
- 19:01bit of respect, but as weird because I really love Capaldi
- 19:06and capacity can be very, oh my God, he's Savage about you.
- 19:09That's not a bit weird takes up the cards and he's like, oh I'm
- 19:12so sorry for your loss of he/she.
- 19:18That's what Colleen needed. He needed to see it.
- 19:20Absolutely, absolutely. What do you got three mirrors.
- 19:24Your face is so wide. You want.
- 19:28I can't talk to him. If the top layer over there.
- 19:31I love that stuff. I love it.
- 19:34Oh, what you think about like on top of the TARDIS with blue
- 19:37light? It's it's a thing, isn't it?
- 19:39I don't like it but definitely a thing.
- 19:41Yes, it is a thing. Yeah, okay, yeah, I think it's,
- 19:50yeah, I think it's an attempt to show an entrance to a building.
- 19:56Maybe, I don't know. Okay.
- 19:59Alright, so I don't think it's a terrible say, I think it's sort
- 20:01of interesting to look at. I think the framework in the
- 20:04background is giving me serious clack.
- 20:06Galaxy for Vibes of the, the real spaceship.
- 20:09Yeah. Just don't touch it because it
- 20:11will all start wobbling and falling down, but it's rather
- 20:14impressed with that came back, you know, of those the direction
- 20:17I love. I love that.
- 20:19See, we're making up now. Haven't found our differences.
- 20:21We're now making up because we both appreciate Galaxy.
- 20:23Oh well, thank you. But even when we talk about
- 20:25these things we've got different.
- 20:26We will disagree. Agreeably, of course worry.
- 20:29We'll see ya. Yeah, I feel like I want to try
- 20:32an Avion are for a poet now, as well, just to be contrary.
- 20:36This is a fabulous. Oh yeah, sure.
- 20:39Wow. Yeah really is Daniel.
- 20:41Ellis is very proud of this moment in the comment area.
- 20:43Some more like you can do anything.
- 20:44Let's say, yeah. Very cool effects shot.
- 20:51For all the talk of, you know, cheap scenery and I think Doctor
- 20:56Who does sort of weirdly dried husks.
- 20:59Quite, well, doesn't in your vein stay at the K.
- 21:02Well, yeah. Oh yeah.
- 21:04Ice is melting wind gust of fenric.
- 21:06When the vampires? Yeah.
- 21:08Melt Away. And I love the idea of the
- 21:12minute of the, the aney Theon ladder.
- 21:16Hmm. How did the idea was like the
- 21:18night when I like spiders? Yeah, yeah, the victim is in the
- 21:22where, that's Grim old. Oh, here we go, here we go.
- 21:29I just dropped in dropped in. Is it me or or saudade desk?
- 21:36There. Looks like a kind of Alternate
- 21:40reality version of the swap shop.
- 21:42Remember these have a desk on Swap Shop with all the like the
- 21:44toys and stuff across the front. Is he like it's gone off his
- 21:48version of Noel Edmonds. Do you think?
- 21:51Well the script says that he is an engineer and that he is a
- 21:59politician, but he's not very good at Iva but he just fakes
- 22:02that he's great at both of them. He's a blogger.
- 22:06So yes you definitely the no weapons of of this planet.
- 22:10It's the beard that finishes, it seals the deal, doesn't it?
- 22:13But you know, in that design I can often there's a bit of
- 22:15thought because it's all sort of it looks like it's made out of
- 22:17big engine parts. The it's you very masculine,
- 22:19isn't it? Yeah.
- 22:21They're trying to suggest that the these men have a bit of
- 22:24compensation problems. Hmm.
- 22:28Hey, it is campus Christmas as Nietzsche peacock.
- 22:31Smoking a pipe. Everywhere.
- 22:37Yeah, that room could have a nice little kids, you know, you
- 22:43need someone to come in and feng shui up a bit.
- 22:46Oh I love this is large for his teacher, says he hasn't seen
- 22:48Romani. It's like really no idea what
- 22:51I'm talking about. You're meddling swine.
- 22:55Eliezer, his face. Look at the do it.
- 22:59They are so try to make each other.
- 23:01Laugh. Imagine or the outtakes are like
- 23:06This is the last time we got Tom's classic outfit as well.
- 23:10Before we go into the maroon thing for season 18, which I
- 23:14don't mind but I just this is my gosu Tom look.
- 23:18Yeah, I like the maroon, it's fine, but it looks more like a
- 23:22uniform. Whereas this, how you like
- 23:24something he threw together? Yeah, yeah and the fact that
- 23:27over the years, has changed it up and they they do different
- 23:30codes, or they do different shirts, or whatever, it feels
- 23:36like, Like a choice from the Wardrobe rather than something
- 23:39that's been created and it gets worse as you go into the 80s.
- 23:42You know, God that is talking about that.
- 23:45Console room must have been absolutely honking.
- 23:48You know. You got Janet Fielding wearing
- 23:49that same purple outfit adric. Is it like a jobless for?
- 23:54Yeah. Well you and after what happened
- 23:57in that that scene with the master where he's you know, the
- 24:00one I'm talking about is raised up on the Rostrum, is not the
- 24:04only thing that's raised up. The right match race.
- 24:07I'll tell you, wow, it taking someone's eye out.
- 24:11Jesus. Now, this is nice to Circle.
- 24:14Back to the original, Myths, never there, they're trying to
- 24:18lay crumbs to find their way back out of the maze again.
- 24:21And you know, this whole sequence here was saying on the
- 24:23info text that they were moving the set rather than editing the
- 24:28scene they were physically moving the size.
- 24:30Cool. I like that which I think is
- 24:32really nice. Yeah.
- 24:33Well you can do it all in one, take that card.
- 24:35Yeah, it's okay. Back to the 60s and they know
- 24:37they're kind of going from one set to another and rushing
- 24:39around, but in this can in this example, they're moving the sets
- 24:42around rather than moving the actors.
- 24:44All right, Tom Baker insist on using the Stars.
- 24:46Because it was a sort of kids would get on their homework.
- 24:48Yeah, absolutely. You know, appealing to the kids.
- 24:51Hmm. I think he just had a
- 24:54cross-generational appeal. Told Baker, though, didn't it?
- 24:57Yeah, fabulous for the kids because he was so, quirky.
- 25:00Race is the first time, I'm really sorry to interrupt you.
- 25:03It's the first time when he came in in season 12 it suddenly got
- 25:07this huge appeal for a student and older that's of teenagers
- 25:12and going into your 20s took on that cult status.
- 25:16And just being a family show. He would always say then you got
- 25:19all the Granny's that are absolutely delighted because all
- 25:22the kids are shoving themselves and their puzzles while they're
- 25:25watching because they're so scared.
- 25:28Does he make that joke about old women seeing him and their
- 25:33boobies? Start tingling or something?
- 25:35Yeah. Yeah, listen, you never need to
- 25:39apologize for interrupting me. I'll spend my entire podcasting
- 25:42career interrupting everyone else.
- 25:45It's quite refreshing to have it done in the other direction,
- 25:47boy. Have you read?
- 25:51Tom's autobiography A little bit.
- 25:53Not a lot. Oh, it's so good at these.
- 25:57I heard his Tom Baker, array C. The big finish one that, yes,
- 26:01that's great. It's really good because, and
- 26:04because he's for friends with Nick breaks, he manages to avoid
- 26:08the usual quotes and as yeah, throw him a little bit, you
- 26:12know, all this. This now is possibly the most
- 26:16operatic sequence in all of Doctor, Who Farmers.
- 26:21Lets his trousers, I brought you the tribute.
- 26:24No, no, my trousers are splitting.
- 26:30Now, you can see my white pants. Its cheeks are wobbling more
- 26:34than that set early. Well.
- 26:37Okay this is absurdly over the top but you know I do like look
- 26:44pretty but bind us. Remember to shoot the nylon low,
- 26:48he just shoots up. Yeah, okay.
- 26:50That, and that gives them a bit of stature.
- 26:54Oh I think the set did. Well oh hello dear.
- 26:57Oh now that's something I didn't want to see.
- 27:01I don't want the copilot's Underpants in my face.
- 27:03Thank you very much. What a way to end an episode.
- 27:07Jesus won't stir approaching on the helpless children.
- 27:10Yeah, you can get upset, that, that larger set, that's quite
- 27:14honest. Yeah, I'm getting flashbacks to
- 27:17the Arkin space. Yeah, I kind of factual did
- 27:22thing on his face. You can see that there's dummies
- 27:23in there as well call. If you, that's no way to talk
- 27:26about the extras. Come on, their dinner fast.
- 27:29I'm so sorry. But I do think that's more
- 27:48effectively traumatic. Yeah.
- 27:50Now give you that and the episode 1, mmm.
- 27:54You know, the camera either moves a little bit as yes,
- 27:56didn't towards the kiddos. Oh yeah, yeah, exciting.
- 28:01Wait for the next one. Well, I'm so sorry, but I'm
- 28:03going to be asking you some more questions from Twitter.
- 28:06I'll go on then if that's okay if your marks well a lot of
- 28:10people did it jump in it did. Thank you all for getting in
- 28:13touch as brilliant. The Marvelous very Piedmont
- 28:16Lambert asks could Doctor Who have still been on air into the
- 28:1990s. If only the studio strike, had
- 28:22prevented 10 million people from seeing this instead of Sharda,
- 28:27Well, I think that's very hurtful he might have a point.
- 28:34I'm insured. We've had about 20 versions of
- 28:37Sharda now, so I feel a bit sharded out.
- 28:39I do love it, I love Douglas Adams but a Multiverse of
- 28:45different shoulders. Now, already is whatever your
- 28:47taste is shorter will cater for it.
- 28:50Yeah, he also asked wasn't every 1980s.
- 28:54Comedy sketch that went wasn't Doctor Who cheap shit.
- 28:57Of dreadful acting just doing horns off any.
- 29:01Don't like this one, Mark? No, I'm getting that distinct
- 29:04impression. Yeah, it's not for everyone.
- 29:07And that's fine. He's found out what Pete really
- 29:10likes, and then we'll was like a while because I want to he
- 29:13really likes the mafia as well. Oh, he's a big fan of Jodie,
- 29:17Whittaker. As you know, is he, I like Jody
- 29:22me too. Okay, cynical.
- 29:25Archivists says, always more of a comment.
- 29:29I think I suppose some comment on the God complex would make
- 29:32sense and the, if connections. Yeah, so not unlike the Mind
- 29:36robber and underworld, then they make a connection And like a
- 29:39explicit connection between this and the God complex they do.
- 29:42They talk about here. The minor Tour on that being a
- 29:47dark, remember the exact wording that users like a distant
- 29:50relation or a cousin of 91. But they do mention the name on
- 29:54bye-bye named Joe Buckle. Haven't done the God complex yet
- 29:57and I think it's amazing. That's a great story.
- 30:01It was just all right. I may be okay Fraser Gregory
- 30:05pipe razor 15 questions on everyone.
- 30:08Honestly don't get out much Doctor Who has no right?
- 30:11Being this fun, fantastic and fabulous discuss.
- 30:16I mean, he's right. I mean that's, that's there's
- 30:18not much to discuss these ideas and it is fabulous.
- 30:22I had David g. A story that gets a kicking and
- 30:25held up as an example of everything that went wrong with
- 30:27the Williams era is that fair or unjust I could see how if this
- 30:35wasn't your bag, it will get very irritating, very quickly.
- 30:41but, I think that's a lot to be said for the Williams era.
- 30:45I think, when you look at all those stories, yes, there are
- 30:50some Duds, but you can say that of any era person, Bloody great
- 30:53stories in there, as well, city of death.
- 30:58Our planet pirate Planet yet. Why would I love nearly all with
- 31:04them? There's only a couple I know,
- 31:05like I just, I love the imagination.
- 31:07I like the, I think the creative family Rock what a great story
- 31:12amazing in terms of like imagination.
- 31:14I think the Williams era is maybe Doctor Who as high, not in
- 31:18terms of production value, but in terms of creativity.
- 31:22Yeah, absolutely. I'll give you that.
- 31:24Okay. One last question, then it's
- 31:26from your friend of And they found bottomley.
- 31:30We love Nathan course is going to be fucking facetiously.
- 31:33I've just Mark how many know I'm on have you seen today?
- 31:38How many 3 have seen?
